  1. [SPEAKER_01]: uh... i want to minister a message this morning it's entitled what's in your hand you just look at somebody say what's in your hand how many of the gods given every single one of us something that we can use high-priced a lot of times we're looking for something besides what god is given us

  2. [SPEAKER_01]: A lot of times, we begin to compare our lives with others that are around us, you know, if I was like that person, if I was like this person or if I had this, if I had that, then I'd be able to do this, or I'd be able to do that.

  3. [SPEAKER_01]: When the reality is God wants us just to begin to use what we already have.

  4. [SPEAKER_01]: Now one of the things I found out about the Lord is this, if you'll be faithful with what you have, you'll give you more.

  5. [SPEAKER_01]: As a matter of fact, if you be faithful with what you have in your hand, you'll find out that it will grow and increase, it will develop, right?

  6. [SPEAKER_01]: And so it's so important that we begin to use what God has given to us.

  7. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't want you to too far ahead of myself, but I believe that there are gifts.

  8. [SPEAKER_01]: There are noings.

  9. [SPEAKER_01]: There are graces that God has released throughout this church body.

  10. [SPEAKER_01]: But the reality is you have to be willing to use what God has given you.

  11. [SPEAKER_01]: I posted this the other, I guess it was yesterday.

  12. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I, or maybe the day before I don't remember exactly when, every now and then, I get thoughts, you know, I'll just be, you know, minding my own business and thoughts will come when I have these thoughts, I'll write them down and then later on.

  13. [SPEAKER_01]: I will post them, I call them inspired ideas myself, but one of the things I said, you know, there's a lot of people that say that they would die for Jesus, but really they're not willing to do anything for him now

  14. [SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, it was much better to live for Jesus than die for Him.

  15. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I say that again?

  16. [SPEAKER_01]: That there has nothing to do with the recent events or anything.

  17. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying right now, it is better that you use what you have right now, and take it and use it for the glory of God, and for the kingdom of God, because you know, you have people all this time that say, I'll die for Jesus, but you can't get them to live the finger in the local church.

  18. [SPEAKER_01]: can't get them to do anything to actually help their neighbor across the street.

  19. [SPEAKER_01]: And how many of the God can use every one of us wherever we're at.

  20. [SPEAKER_01]: If we would just be faithful with what he's placed within our hands, understand that you don't need another gift, you just need to use what you have.

  21. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, you don't need the gift that Pastor Joshua has.

  22. [SPEAKER_01]: You just need to use what you've got.

  23. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't need to use what your neighbor has.

  24. [SPEAKER_01]: You just need to use what he's placed within your hand right now.

  25. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to be invious of what somebody else has.

  26. [SPEAKER_01]: Be thankful for what you have right now, amen?

  27. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, if I had a bigger house and I would be given to hospitality.

  28. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you wouldn't.

  29. [SPEAKER_01]: If you won't invite anybody over now, you're not going to invite anybody over when you got a bigger house.

  30. [SPEAKER_01]: Because there's more to clean, right?

  31. [SPEAKER_01]: And you've got more trinkets that you don't want anybody knocking over in break it.

  32. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just getting down, I know all about that.

  33. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm married, I understand, you know?

  34. [SPEAKER_01]: But the reality is, see, if you won't use, this is the point, if you won't use what you have right now, you're not going to use anything if you're given something different or something that is greater.

  35. [SPEAKER_01]: The principle of the kingdom is always use what you have be faithful with what God has placed within your hand.

  36. [SPEAKER_01]: This morning when we all began to worship and, by the way, I don't know about you.

  37. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm so thankful for our worship team.

  38. [SPEAKER_01]: I am very grateful for our team.

  39. [SPEAKER_01]: Marcus, where's Marcus at?

  40. [SPEAKER_01]: Where you at Marcus did he disappear?

  41. [SPEAKER_01]: Was he raptured?

  42. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what happened, but anyway, but anyway, Marcus was in worse Keith, he was Keith.

  43. [SPEAKER_01]: Huh, he's in kids, maybe they're all in kids, I don't know, they maybe they're reusing to do in double duty today, but the reality is, you know, we had Marcus up on the drums, Keith on the bass, you know, and what's really impressive is the fact that we don't just have one bass player.

  44. [SPEAKER_01]: We have two or three that are very well versed in playing the base.

  45. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't have just one drummer.

  46. [SPEAKER_01]: We're three deep that are really, really four deep, four deep as far as drummers in the church.

  47. [SPEAKER_01]: We have four different band directors that are on our worship team that play instruments.

  48. [SPEAKER_01]: We have, you know, of course, Steve was up on the keyboard and Linda was up on the, on the,

  49. [SPEAKER_01]: We call it the Hammond B3, but nonetheless, but she was playing the organ sound.

  50. [SPEAKER_01]: She does such a marvelous job.

  51. [SPEAKER_01]: We have singers, Pastor Miranda, and Pastor Castle that help lead.

  52. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we look up the here.

  53. [SPEAKER_01]: And this is a y'all know that I was, excuse me, a trumpet major in college.

  54. [SPEAKER_01]: And whenever I see brass, I come alive.

  55. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he, all right, I'm ready to go whenever, when I see the brash, you bring in the horns, and you, I'm telling you something in me goes, okay, now we're starting to cook, okay.

  56. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, I'm going somewhere with this.

  57. [SPEAKER_01]: We're very appreciative of everything that we have, but can I tell you that was a day, then that was not what we had.

  58. [SPEAKER_01]: When we started this church, we had a keyboard, and we had me.

  59. [SPEAKER_01]: We were so desperate, palm-a-goe, actually, helped lead worship.

  60. [SPEAKER_01]: And sound desperate, we were.

  61. [SPEAKER_01]: Paul was leading with his ponytail.

  62. [SPEAKER_01]: And his earring.

  63. [SPEAKER_01]: You just had to understand, been there at the time and to appreciate it almost 30 years ago.

  64. [SPEAKER_01]: Paul, you can't dance because the ponytail will go around and hit somebody in the eye.

  65. [SPEAKER_01]: My wife was helping lead worship.

  66. [SPEAKER_01]: Our kids, you know, this is before the days.

  67. [SPEAKER_01]: We got beautiful screens now.

  68. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we had then we had overheads.

  69. [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody remember the old overhead projector?

  70. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, anytime I preach one thing, you are assured of, we're gonna take a trip down memory lane.

  71. [SPEAKER_01]: Why would you do that?

  72. [SPEAKER_01]: It's because I want you to realize that where we started is not where we're at today.

  73. [SPEAKER_01]: But we had to be faithful with the overhead.

  74. [SPEAKER_01]: And there was a time pastor, Joshua, was he was doing overhead projector.

  75. [SPEAKER_01]: And that was a time.

  76. [SPEAKER_01]: He was doing video.

  77. [SPEAKER_01]: And there was a time he was doing sound.

  78. [SPEAKER_01]: And finally he started playing the bass and you know what?

  79. [SPEAKER_01]: And he was just learning.

  80. [SPEAKER_01]: But he was the best bass player we had.

  81. [SPEAKER_01]: He was beginning.

  82. [SPEAKER_01]: But he was the best one we had.

  83. [SPEAKER_01]: And the only one that we had.

  84. [SPEAKER_01]: He was the best and the worst.

  85. [SPEAKER_01]: But nonetheless, he was the only one we had.

  86. [SPEAKER_01]: But I remember him first started out playing bass, then he started leading worship.

  87. [SPEAKER_01]: The band began to grow, then we were able, I had to use the sequencer for the longest time.

  88. [SPEAKER_01]: It was a keyboard that was basically a one-man band, and we lead worship that way, and Gill and Ruth, and Ruth, and Ruth, he was one of our worship leaders also, and she was probably the best female singer that we had, praise the Lord.

  89. [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, and so we started with, we started our beginnings were small, it was the seed, but understand there was a vision that I had that what God had given me which was much greater than what we started with.

  90. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't envision that this is how we're going to be for the rest of eternity.

  91. [SPEAKER_01]: This is the way it's always going to be.

  92. [SPEAKER_01]: This is just, we're gonna be faithful to use what we have right now.

  93. [SPEAKER_01]: much, but you know what?

  94. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to make the best out of it.

  95. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to do the best with what we have.

  96. [SPEAKER_01]: We're going to maximize it to the full potential of everything that we have, but if we will do that, God will be faithful to do the rest.

  97. [SPEAKER_01]: Here this, if you will just begin to use what you already have, you don't need more faith to start using the faith you're going right now and allow it to begin to grow.

  98. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen?

  99. [SPEAKER_01]: You'll understand what I'm saying.

  100. [SPEAKER_01]: So, next is four of us, one, then Moses answered and said, I said all that by the way, what we have now, I mean, it's wonderful, it's great, we've get tar players, we have all, you know, wind instruments, and this is actually, I don't have time to go, that this is the manifestation of the restoration of the tabernacle of David.

  101. [SPEAKER_01]: Because in the tabernacle of David, you will find that there were wind instruments, there were stringed instruments, and there were, what to say, wind string and percussion instruments.

  102. [SPEAKER_01]: And what we have is, and by the way, each ASAP, human and Jesuit, and those were the chief musicians in the Tabernacle of David, and each one of them, they were overseers of a particular section of musicians.

  103. [SPEAKER_01]: And what we see, we see that happening today, even here at our church.

  104. [SPEAKER_01]: And so I thank God for that, amen.

  105. [SPEAKER_01]: But we didn't start there.

  106. [SPEAKER_01]: We started with what we had.

  107. [SPEAKER_01]: So verse 1 of Exodus 4.

  108. [SPEAKER_01]: Then Moses answered and said, but suppose, and, by the way, God has just visited him, or he's actually still in the process where the Lord has visited him and a burning bush.

  109. [SPEAKER_01]: He's had an encounter with God and God is speaking to him and God is commissioning him to go back to Egypt and to begin to prophesy to Pharaoh and I want you to go and be the

  110. [SPEAKER_01]: And of course, immediately Moses has a response to the commissioning of the Lord.

  111. [SPEAKER_01]: Then Moses answered, but suppose they will not believe me.

  112. [SPEAKER_01]: Or listen to my voice, suppose they say, the Lord has not appeared to you.

  113. [SPEAKER_01]: So the Lord said to him, what is in your hand?

  114. [SPEAKER_01]: Ask somebody, what is in your hand?

  115. [SPEAKER_01]: He said, a rod, and he said, cast it to the ground.

  116. [SPEAKER_01]: So it cast it to the ground and became a serpent.

  117. [SPEAKER_01]: And Moses fled from it.

  118. [SPEAKER_01]: One wise thing, then the Lord said to Moses, reach out your hand and take it by the tail and he reached out his hand and called it and it became a rod in his hand.

  119. [SPEAKER_01]: They may believe that the Lord God of their fathers had gone of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.

  120. [SPEAKER_01]: Furthermore, the Lord said to him, now put your

  121. [SPEAKER_01]: hand in your bosom and he put his hand in his bosom and when he took it out behold, his was leporous like snow and he said, put your in your bosom again.

  122. [SPEAKER_01]: So he put his in his bosom again and drew out, are you seeing this this theme that's going on right here that God that keeps saying Moses, there's something I've got within your hand.

  123. [SPEAKER_01]: There's something that you've already got within your hand and drew it out of his bosom

  124. [SPEAKER_01]: then it should be if they do not believe you know he the message of the first sign that they should believe the message of the latter sign and it should be if they do not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice that you should take water from the river and poured out on the dry land and the water would you take from the river will become blood on the dry land he's already this is the first plague by the way.

  125. [SPEAKER_01]: Then Moses said that the Lord, oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent.

  126. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't speak very well.

  127. [SPEAKER_01]: He's making excuses.

  128. [SPEAKER_01]: Neither before, nor since, you have spoken to your servant.

  129. [SPEAKER_01]: In other words, before you start speaking to me, I couldn't speak very well.

  130. [SPEAKER_01]: While you've been speaking to me, I can't speak very well now.

  131. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, after you're done, I still can't speak very well.

  132. [SPEAKER_01]: Neither before nor since you have spoken to your servant, but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.

  133. [SPEAKER_01]: So the Lord said to him, who has made man's mouth or who makes the view, the death, the seeing or the blind have not either Lord.

  134. [SPEAKER_01]: Now therefore go and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall say and he said, oh, Lord, please send by the hand of some of whoever else you may sin.

  135. [SPEAKER_01]: So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses.

  136. [SPEAKER_01]: And he said, it's not, in by the way, God was getting a little bit perturbed, right?

  137. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, I've appeared to you in a burning bush.

  138. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm giving you a commission and the only thing that you can do is make excuses.

  139. [SPEAKER_01]: And so the anger Lord was kindled against Moses and he said, by the way, it's not good to make excuses to the Lord.

  140. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not Aaron, the Levite, your brother.

  141. [SPEAKER_01]: I know that he can speak well and look, he is also coming out to meet you.

  142. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank God for his mercy, right?

  143. [SPEAKER_01]: For his love, for his goodness, that, well, I don't have time together.

  144. [SPEAKER_01]: When he sees you, he will be glad it is hard.

  145. [SPEAKER_01]: Now you shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and I will teach you what you shall do.

  146. [SPEAKER_01]: So he shall be your spokesman to the people

  147. [SPEAKER_01]: And you shall be to Him as God, or 17, and you shall get this.

  148. [SPEAKER_01]: You shall take this rod in your, with which you shall do the signs, and then verse 21, skip there.

  149. [SPEAKER_01]: And the Lord said to Moses, when you go back to Egypt, see that you do all these wonders before a Pharaoh, which I have put in what?

  150. [SPEAKER_01]: So God calls Moses to deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt, yet the entire time, Moses does nothing but make excuses.

  151. [SPEAKER_01]: We should hear this.

  152. [SPEAKER_01]: The enemy will always give you an excuse to disobey God.

  153. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you there are people that are not here this morning when they should be in the house of a Lord because they made some kind of excuse?

  154. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, thank you for that overwhelming response.

  155. [SPEAKER_01]: There are people that don't do the will of God, solely because they make excuses.

  156. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I got to hang now today.

  157. [SPEAKER_01]: I've got this to do.

  158. [SPEAKER_01]: I've got that to do.

  159. [SPEAKER_01]: I've got this to do.

  160. [SPEAKER_01]: And one of the things that we have to do as believers is we have to get delivered from our excuses.

  161. [SPEAKER_01]: We cannot allow excuses to keep us back from obeying what God is spoken for us to do.

  162. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, the one of the ways that you know what God has called you to do or what God has spoken for you to do is that it usually has something to do with some type of ability that you already possess.

  163. [SPEAKER_01]: It's something that you already have.

  164. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying it's fully developed, but it's something that you already have, that he's already giving you.

  165. [SPEAKER_01]: The enemy will always give you an excuse to this, so, by God, the devil and your flesh.

  166. [SPEAKER_01]: Man, there's holy rollers.

  167. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, we're full every, particularly nine o'clock service, but you know, we also have holy rollers in the church.

  168. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what a holy roller is, right?

  169. [SPEAKER_01]: It's the people, the alarm clock rang, and they just rolled on over and went back to sleep.

  170. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we should call them unholy rollers.

  171. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, when you go about the devil in your flesh, we'll give you excuses and justifications to say, no to your destiny.

  172. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll just appear this, and you may need to write this down.

  173. [SPEAKER_01]: Destiny and purpose is always fulfilled on the other side of your yes.

  174. [SPEAKER_01]: Destiny is never fulfilled.

  175. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're somebody that's always telling everybody, no.

  176. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, that doesn't just have something to do with the church, but it's also where you work.

  177. [SPEAKER_01]: Whenever you employ your ask, you do something, you may have to qualify, say, well, I don't know exactly, I'm not an expert of this, but because you ask me, I will do it.

  178. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  179. [SPEAKER_01]: I remember whenever I was asked, you know, when I was in that, I'm going to take a trip down memory lane again.

  180. [SPEAKER_01]: I was in eighth grade, I was in eighth grade and I was just starting to play the trumpet.

  181. [SPEAKER_01]: And I can remember them, they had a band in our church and there was no music, everybody played by ear.

  182. [SPEAKER_01]: And of course in eighth grade you're just starting to learn and I could play pretty well, but I never played by ear and I can remember them asking me, would you come and play your trumpet?

  183. [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, and I can remember the first time being up there, and this is the thing, I said yes!

  184. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, yes, you know, in my music ministry started, my music ministry started the moment that I said, yes, to a request from somebody in leadership that needed my assistance, Hallelujah.

  185. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  186. [SPEAKER_01]: And we have too many people today that every time they're asked to do something, they want to say, well, you know what, I need to go pray about this.

  187. [SPEAKER_01]: Look, the only thing I asked you to do is take the garbage out, you don't have to pray

  188. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, brother, you know, I just don't feel led to do that.

  189. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, I'm going to start keeping pencils around with me all the time.

  190. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to feel a lead.

  191. [SPEAKER_01]: Here's a pencil.

  192. [SPEAKER_01]: Feel some lead.

  193. [SPEAKER_01]: And let's get on with the program right now.

  194. [SPEAKER_01]: Anybody hearing what I'm saying?

  195. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, you can always have an excuse not to do whatever God wants you to do.

  196. [SPEAKER_01]: There's always an excuse to keep you from doing what will be a blessing to somebody else.

  197. [SPEAKER_01]: But you've got to understand this.

  198. [SPEAKER_01]: You've got gifts.

  199. [SPEAKER_01]: You've got annoying things.

  200. [SPEAKER_01]: You've got graces upon your life.

  201. [SPEAKER_01]: And you just have to be willing to say, yes!

  202. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, yes, I got up there and it sounded like Mass Babylon.

  203. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you, people playing all kind of notes, and we couldn't fit.

  204. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to figure out what key are they in?

  205. [SPEAKER_01]: Have I even learned the scale of that key?

  206. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm a beginning trumpet player.

  207. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know all my scales yet.

  208. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, they're playing in the key of E for sharps.

  209. [SPEAKER_01]: That's six sharps for a trumpet.

  210. [SPEAKER_01]: That's F sharp.

  211. [SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean?

  212. [SPEAKER_01]: I've never played in F sharp before.

  213. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you here right I'm saying so I'm fumbling around see sometimes you just have to fumble around while you're learning But you're just being faithful.

  214. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know exactly what I'm doing right now But I'm at least putting my hand in the plow.

  215. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like I'm going on over the place right now But you know what if you'll be faithful God will call the perfection to come in you just because you're willing to use what you've been given Amen

  216. [SPEAKER_01]: Whenever I was asked to lead worship, I was a piano player, yes, I could play pretty well.

  217. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was a could play trumpet real well.

  218. [SPEAKER_01]: They asked me to lead worship.

  219. [SPEAKER_01]: You know why they asked me to lead worship?

  220. [SPEAKER_01]: They were at the bottom of the barrel.

  221. [SPEAKER_01]: They had nobody else.

  222. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, sometimes whenever there's nobody else around, that's just God said it you up for something great that he wants to do through you.

  223. [SPEAKER_01]: There's nobody else around.

  224. [SPEAKER_01]: There was nobody else at Kitsing.

  225. [SPEAKER_01]: There was nobody else at Kitsing.

  226. [SPEAKER_01]: There was nobody else at Kitsing.

  227. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, and I was not never a singer.

  228. [SPEAKER_01]: I had not really been trained in singing.

  229. [SPEAKER_01]: I had a little bit of voice classes, but that really was not my gig, okay?

  230. [SPEAKER_01]: It was not my jam, okay?

  231. [SPEAKER_01]: I think I swear it says that, is that what they're used today?

  232. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not my jam.

  233. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's not.

  234. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, I was wrong again, okay?

  235. [SPEAKER_01]: What do they use?

  236. [SPEAKER_01]: Not jam?

  237. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, that's an old war, but it's not my forte, yes.

  238. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, just come back, you know.

  239. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, if you got any old ties, just hang on to them because they're bound to come back in, okay?

  240. [SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't my forte?

  241. [SPEAKER_01]: Wasn't my thing, I wasn't skilled at it.

  242. [SPEAKER_01]: They said, we don't have anybody else.

  243. [SPEAKER_01]: You're drafted.

  244. [SPEAKER_01]: So I can remember the first time I started leading worship.

  245. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was on a spin at Piana.

  246. [SPEAKER_01]: Baldwin spin at Patex with the same Piana.

  247. [SPEAKER_01]: Then my mom and dad were taking that Piana into the church.

  248. [SPEAKER_01]: And it was a Piana I actually learned to play on.

  249. [SPEAKER_01]: And I can remember that spin at Piana.

  250. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm playing away.

  251. [SPEAKER_01]: And I looked at somebody.

  252. [SPEAKER_01]: And because I felt like I was out of breath, I was trying to do two things at one time was not real easy.

  253. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm having to concentrate on playing the truck, play in the piano and also singing.

  254. [SPEAKER_01]: I was not very good at it.

  255. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know what?

  256. [SPEAKER_01]: I was willing to say yes.

  257. [SPEAKER_01]: See, what I didn't realize is that there was a seed that God had already put on the inside of me.

  258. [SPEAKER_01]: That if I was willing just to allow myself to be that seed that would be planted, that later on there would be songs that would travel around the nations of the world that would bless people in nations and I don't even know their language.

  259. [SPEAKER_01]: I've heard my songs sung in Chinese, Mandarin, Chinese.

  260. [SPEAKER_01]: I've heard them sung in Swedish.

  261. [SPEAKER_01]: Just whatever you call that, okay.

  262. [SPEAKER_01]: sung in French, I've heard them sing, sung in Spanish, the only thing I'd say in Spanish is taco and burrito.

  263. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you my friend, if you just be willing to allow yourself to say yes, and get committed to something, God will take nothing and make something great out of it.

  264. [SPEAKER_01]: There's greatness on the inside of you.

  265. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't realize it at one, when I started that one day that be songs that would go around the nation, and then not only that,

  266. [SPEAKER_01]: integrity music not only they heard my songs that we want to record and then later on they asked me to lead worship on an album that sold almost 500,000 copies and went global around the world.

  267. [SPEAKER_01]: Now many of you weren't born back then and so that's okay.

  268. [SPEAKER_01]: So you don't know this is back in the late 80s early 90s and other songs that I'm not saying that please hear this.

  269. [SPEAKER_01]: I am not saying that to beat myself on the chest.

  270. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying it, is where I started, is not where I ended up at.

  271. [SPEAKER_01]: Where we saw, I was just willing to say, yes, I could have easily made an excuse to say, you don't understand.

  272. [SPEAKER_01]: Is there a fact?

  273. [SPEAKER_01]: I had a brother actually give me a word while I was on staff at CI, and he said, has integrity asked you to lead worship on an album, I said, no, they've heard me sing.

  274. [SPEAKER_01]: I submit demos to them, and that's with me singing.

  275. [SPEAKER_01]: They've heard me sing.

  276. [SPEAKER_01]: They know that I am not a great singer.

  277. [SPEAKER_01]: They got people, you know, that can sing circles around me.

  278. [SPEAKER_01]: Why would they ever want to use me as a worship leader in a singer?

  279. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know, he said, well, I feel like the Lord says, that they're going to be calling you, you're going to be asking you.

  280. [SPEAKER_01]: Unless in six hours later, I got a call at my house, and they asked me to lead worship on Victor's crowned.

  281. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, and I said to all that to say this, you know what, God, I don't know, maybe he calls in to be deaf momentarily.

  282. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they saw something, but regardless,

  283. [SPEAKER_01]: Somebody who wasn't a singer, somebody who wasn't, I would get inspired to do any of these things.

  284. [SPEAKER_01]: It's amazing almost everything that I'm doing today in ministry is not because I deliberately sent out to do it.

  285. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just because whenever the call came, I said yes.

  286. [SPEAKER_01]: When the invitation was there, I just said, yes, I'll do that.

  287. [SPEAKER_01]: It's amazing what God would do with your life if you'll stop making excuses and just say yes to him.

  288. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at somebody and say, you can need to learn to say yes.

  289. [SPEAKER_01]: See, God, listen, God had already given Moses everything he needed to fulfill his call.

  290. [SPEAKER_01]: All that Moses needed was a rod and his mouth.

  291. [SPEAKER_01]: The rod was already in his hand.

  292. [SPEAKER_01]: He didn't need something else.

  293. [SPEAKER_01]: He just needed to use what God had given.

  294. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, he didn't need chariots.

  295. [SPEAKER_01]: He didn't need horses, and he didn't need an army to set the people of Israel free.

  296. [SPEAKER_01]: The only thing he needed was what God had already placed within his hands.

  297. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you all hearing what I'm saying?

  298. [SPEAKER_01]: You have in your hand what you need to see the miracle that you desire.

  299. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, God will always call you to do what is seemingly impossible.

  300. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a matter of fact, if it doesn't seem impossible, then it very well may not even be the Lord.

  301. [SPEAKER_01]: He called Israel to possess a land where all the hat inhabitants were stronger, were bigger,

  302. [SPEAKER_01]: We're more powerful than them.

  303. [SPEAKER_01]: When you read Deuteronomy 7, God says, I'm calling you to go take possession of the land.

  304. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, and by the way, I want you to know this.

  305. [SPEAKER_01]: Every one of them are bigger than you.

  306. [SPEAKER_01]: They're mightyer than you.

  307. [SPEAKER_01]: They're stronger than you, right?

  308. [SPEAKER_01]: They can tear you up, however.

  309. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to cause them to fall and I'm going to give them into your hands.

  310. [SPEAKER_01]: See, because God had already given them everything that they needed.

  311. [SPEAKER_01]: What did they need?

  312. [SPEAKER_01]: They just needed a covenant with God.

  313. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you already got a covenant with God?

  314. [SPEAKER_01]: You've already got what you need in order to see victory in your life.

  315. [SPEAKER_01]: If you'll just start using what you've got, I'm telling you God will do miracles, amen?

  316. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at somebody and say, what's in your hand?

  317. [SPEAKER_01]: 20 tells Israel he tells them you already have what you need to see victory you've got a covenant you've already got everything that you need you don't need something else Moses you don't need something else I've already placed it in your hand when we started this church you know I loved worship but I didn't really like people I loved them with the love of the Lord but I didn't like them

  318. [SPEAKER_01]: I felt unqualified, and what's really miraculous is the more I've, the longer that I've passed through now, functioning aposolically, the more I've fell in love with people.

  319. [SPEAKER_01]: That's really a miracle if you talk to many pastors, that's really a miracle.

  320. [SPEAKER_01]: But I felt unqualified.

  321. [SPEAKER_01]: To even pastor, I knew how to lead worship, I knew how to preach and prophesy and do all these other things.

  322. [SPEAKER_01]: But I felt unqualified in some of these, as far as pastorally, and the Lord just spoke to many of you said, I've already given you what you need.

  323. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, I heard the Lord say, follow the pattern.

  324. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at the early church of the in the book of Acts.

  325. [SPEAKER_01]: And if you just follow the pattern, you've already got what you need.

  326. [SPEAKER_01]: I already given you the information, I already, it's right there in front of you.

  327. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, sometimes you don't need to reinvent the wheel.

  328. [SPEAKER_01]: You just need to follow somebody who's had some success in rolling.

  329. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I say that again?

  330. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't need to reinvent the wheel.

  331. [SPEAKER_01]: You just need to follow somebody who has had some success in rolling.

  332. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  333. [SPEAKER_01]: And a lot of times we think that we're going to have to come up with all the ideas when many times they're already there.

  334. [SPEAKER_01]: We just have to attend to those things.

  335. [SPEAKER_01]: See, I already had in my hand what I needed.

  336. [SPEAKER_01]: I had my Bible.

  337. [SPEAKER_01]: I had the word.

  338. [SPEAKER_01]: It was right there.

  339. [SPEAKER_01]: This is what they did in their early church.

  340. [SPEAKER_01]: Just replicated and you have success.

  341. [SPEAKER_01]: Can't you hear that's what we've done here at High Prays from day one.

  342. [SPEAKER_01]: We followed the biblical pattern.

  343. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, when you follow a biblical pattern, you'll have a good and strong foundation.

  344. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't build on personality, we don't build on gifting, however, everybody has a personality, and everybody has a gift, and it needs to be used and operated within the church.

  345. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen?

  346. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't have time to go down that road either.

  347. [SPEAKER_01]: I can't remember, whenever we first toured the building, our generations building.

  348. [SPEAKER_01]: It didn't look the way that it looks right now.

  349. [SPEAKER_01]: It was Paul and Eva, his deceased wife was there, Gillin' and Rethy were there, my mom and dad were there, Bruce and Ron do y'all were there, and we all we tore it through the building.

  350. [SPEAKER_01]: And I remember walking through this building, I can't wait.

  351. [SPEAKER_01]: And I said this to all of them that were there, I said, we'll never be able to fill this up.

  352. [SPEAKER_01]: That's why I said, oh great, man, a faith here, you know.

  353. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll never be, this is so huge, it's so big.

  354. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the generations building what is not the sanctuary and it felt humongous to me at the time, you know, I think everybody recognized it.

  355. [SPEAKER_01]: We've done a lot more than fill it up.

  356. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  357. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know, we had to be faithful.

  358. [SPEAKER_01]: God gave, and then I don't have time to go and then the whole story, we just had to be faithful with the one God had given us, okay?

  359. [SPEAKER_01]: See, what did I do?

  360. [SPEAKER_01]: What did we do?

  361. [SPEAKER_01]: We use what was in our hand.

  362. [SPEAKER_01]: It was orange carpet, but we said, you know what, we can rip that up and replace the carpet.

  363. [SPEAKER_01]: There was orange pews and I can remember Bruce and Roger Sweat and some of the other guys got in there, ripped the pews out, we got some nice chairs, we took out the orange, burnt orange, I don't even remember that from the 70s, I'll remember that, I hear it might be coming back in style, I don't know maybe we should have kept it, but

  364. [SPEAKER_01]: We had no, no, no, right.

  365. [SPEAKER_01]: We had shared carpet that was about this thick.

  366. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you what somebody could fall out under the power and you have to send out a search party to find them.

  367. [SPEAKER_01]: They disappear.

  368. [SPEAKER_01]: But you know what?

  369. [SPEAKER_01]: We had some glory services in that building.

  370. [SPEAKER_01]: God moved in a mighty way.

  371. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, we just had to be faithful.

  372. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at somebody say, you gotta be faithful.

  373. [SPEAKER_01]: Gotta be faithful with what you have.

  374. [SPEAKER_01]: So real quick, let me give you some principles for this.

  375. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna give you some real quick principles.

  376. [SPEAKER_01]: Principal number one to start using what you have in your hand.

  377. [SPEAKER_01]: It's stop making excuses.

  378. [SPEAKER_01]: Moses made excuse after excuse.

  379. [SPEAKER_01]: God became angry at Moses for what?

  380. [SPEAKER_01]: Not recognizing what he already possessed.

  381. [SPEAKER_01]: Moses, I've already given it to you.

  382. [SPEAKER_01]: Excuses are mental justifications that prevent you from obeying God.

  383. [SPEAKER_01]: Excuses that are,

  384. [SPEAKER_01]: believed and then acted upon will cause you to forfeit God's promise.

  385. [SPEAKER_01]: My friend God's promise is too important.

  386. [SPEAKER_01]: God's promise is too precious.

  387. [SPEAKER_01]: You can't make an excuse and then cause yourself to forfeit what God desires to do within your life.

  388. [SPEAKER_01]: Would you look at somebody and say, the days of excuses are over.

  389. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I want you to say it with some authority.

  390. [SPEAKER_01]: The days of excuses are over.

  391. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, look at somebody and say, no more excuses.

  392. [SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, some of you need to go, look in the mirror and tell the person you're looking at, and say, stop making those excuses.

  393. [SPEAKER_01]: Stop making excuses for yourself.

  394. [SPEAKER_01]: Get up and go ahead and do what you know that you should be doing, amen.

  395. [SPEAKER_01]: Principle number two is this.

  396. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to abandon fear and embrace faith.

  397. [SPEAKER_01]: See Moses had to get in Pharaoh's faiths.

  398. [SPEAKER_01]: He couldn't just say, he couldn't send him, listen, he couldn't send Pharaoh a DM.

  399. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, he couldn't send him an email.

  400. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, Pharaoh, let my people go.

  401. [SPEAKER_01]: L-O-L.

  402. [SPEAKER_01]: Right, he couldn't do that.

  403. [SPEAKER_01]: He couldn't do that.

  404. [SPEAKER_01]: No, he's not to walk up to the most powerful man, most powerful nation that was on the earth at that time.

  405. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at him, square in the eyeballs and say, this says the Lord, because that's what it actually says that he did.

  406. [SPEAKER_01]: This says the Lord, let my people go.

  407. [SPEAKER_01]: And he knew, Pharaoh's not gonna go,

  408. [SPEAKER_01]: I believe you're sent from the Lord, Moses knew the power of Egypt, Moses knew the power of Pharaoh, but you know what he did?

  409. [SPEAKER_01]: He abandoned the fear because he knew that God was with him, amen?

  410. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to abandon fear and embrace faith.

  411. [SPEAKER_01]: Fear of failure must be overcome and a lot of people they never do anything because they feel like there's this fear that they're going to fail, by the way, if you don't

  412. [SPEAKER_01]: think about it.

  413. [SPEAKER_01]: The failure to do anything is the greatest failure.

  414. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to rise up and say, have God is for me, who can be against me?

  415. [SPEAKER_01]: Who will I fear with God on my side?

  416. [SPEAKER_01]: Whenever God told the priest across over Jordan, they could have said, we can't swim.

  417. [SPEAKER_01]: They could have said, there's a river that's flowing here.

  418. [SPEAKER_01]: If we step in here, we'll drown.

  419. [SPEAKER_01]: But the priest didn't do that.

  420. [SPEAKER_01]: At the command of the Lord, they took the ark and they stepped into the waters.

  421. [SPEAKER_01]: And as they stepped into the waters of Jordan, the Jordan River rolled back.

  422. [SPEAKER_01]: My friend, you just have to be willing to stop making excuses to abandon the fear and brace faith and begin to do what God has called you and what His command did you to do, amen?

  423. [SPEAKER_01]: stipulation here.

  424. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't get out into foolishness doing stupid things.

  425. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to make sure that you have some type of word confirmation.

  426. [SPEAKER_01]: You know that you know that you know that this and by the way, there's also a timing for everything.

  427. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  428. [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not telling you, just go do whatever you've ever dreamed up.

  429. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm saying.

  430. [SPEAKER_01]: But what I'm saying, you know, particularly in the church, when somebody asked you to do something, are you here?

  431. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a need for something.

  432. [SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead and

  433. [SPEAKER_01]: You'd be surprised what you can do when you put your hand to the plow.

  434. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  435. [SPEAKER_01]: They stepped into the waters.

  436. [SPEAKER_01]: Obeying God will always require doing the possible.

  437. [SPEAKER_01]: The last thing is this.

  438. [SPEAKER_01]: Overcoming that adversity and do not quit.

  439. [SPEAKER_01]: Overcoming adversity and don't quit.

  440. [SPEAKER_01]: When Moses went back, Pharaoh said, no way.

  441. [SPEAKER_01]: He prophesied, let my people go, why did Pharaoh say, no way?

  442. [SPEAKER_01]: You know how many times it Moses had to do that?

  443. [SPEAKER_01]: He had to do it 10 times.

  444. [SPEAKER_01]: 10 times before Pharaoh actually agreed.

  445. [SPEAKER_01]: to let the people of God actually technically 11 times.

  446. [SPEAKER_01]: He had to do it.

  447. [SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, he had to go back to Pharaoh 10 times because his heart was hardened, and by the way, God even told Moses.

  448. [SPEAKER_01]: He said, Pharaoh's heart is going to be hardened.

  449. [SPEAKER_01]: He already told him, is this, there's gonna be some adversity.

  450. [SPEAKER_01]: Pharaoh's going to try to withstand you.

  451. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you?

  452. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll go ahead and tell you this.

  453. [SPEAKER_01]: Anything that you do for the kingdom of God, there's going to be some adversity.

  454. [SPEAKER_01]: Anytime you begin to take a step forward, the enemy will try to withstand you and to keep you and hold you back.

  455. [SPEAKER_01]: But you're going to realize this whenever you've got a word from the Lord and God is commissioned you to do something.

  456. [SPEAKER_01]: No power in hell can keep it from coming to pass, amen?

  457. [SPEAKER_01]: And you just have to keep doing what is right.

  458. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to keep putting your hand in the plow.

  459. [SPEAKER_01]: Keep doing what you need to do.

  460. [SPEAKER_01]: It has been very easy for Moses to give up.

  461. [SPEAKER_01]: He could have said, one and done.

  462. [SPEAKER_01]: I gave him the word, God, that's what you told me to do.

  463. [SPEAKER_01]: The Moses kept on prophesying.

  464. [SPEAKER_01]: He kept on prophesying.

  465. [SPEAKER_01]: Tell somebody you got to keep on prophesying.

  466. [SPEAKER_01]: See, when things don't look right, you're going to keep on prophesying.

  467. [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to keep on worrying, a good warfare with the words that have come over you.

  468. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you are standing before your family, here's this.

  469. [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to keep on prophesying to your kids.

  470. [SPEAKER_01]: Keep on prophesying to your spouse.

  471. [SPEAKER_01]: You're going to say, let God be true in every man of the liar.

  472. [SPEAKER_01]: God, if you said it, you will bring it to pass.

  473. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

  474. [SPEAKER_01]: How many of you believe that today?

  475. [SPEAKER_01]: See, the Lord told him there would be opposition.

  476. [SPEAKER_01]: Pharaoh's heart would be hardened.

  477. [SPEAKER_01]: That they would even chase them after they let them go.

  478. [SPEAKER_01]: But ultimately, this is what happened.

  479. [SPEAKER_01]: Pharaoh and the entire Egyptian army were destroyed by the power of God, amen?

  480. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

  481. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, Pharaoh and the entire Egyptian army.

  482. [SPEAKER_01]: I got some good news for you.

  483. [SPEAKER_01]: If you just start using once in your hand Whatever's been chasing you, you're gonna see it swallowed up in the red sea.

  484. [SPEAKER_01]: If you'll just be faithful to use what God has given you You'll see God do mighty miracles within your life.

  485. [SPEAKER_01]: The day of excuses are over the time for faith to arise is now

  486. [SPEAKER_01]: It's time to abandon fear, and although there may be some opposition, there may be some adversity, the good news that you hear Pastor Joshua declaring at this morning.

  487. [SPEAKER_01]: We have already been given the victory, and it is ours.
