  1. It's Compassion Sunday.

  2. Everyone say compassion.

  3. That's right.

  4. Now, it's an interesting Compassion Sunday because we've done many

  5. of these over the last four, eleven years would you believe?

  6. And, but, the reason why this one's exceptional is because someone who calls

  7. Red Door home is going to be presenting.

  8. Steve and Ros Scrimgeour are part of our Red Dwarf family

  9. and have been for some time.

  10. We love them very, very dearly.

  11. And so what you're getting today is not just a heart for compassion and what

  12. the organization and the Lord is doing through compassion, but also, such a

  13. strong connection with how does that connect with us as a community here.

  14. And so I'm really excited to invite Steve to come and share.

  15. And so why don't you welcome him as he comes.

  16. And potentially put your seatbelts on.

  17. Thanks, Adam.

  18. Love ya.

  19. Let's pray.

  20. Father, this word from Zephaniah for us today.

  21. The Lord your God is with you.

  22. The mighty warrior who saves, he will take great delight in you.

  23. Men.

  24. You are strong enough, women.

  25. You are beautiful in his love.

  26. He will no longer rebuke, but we'll rejoice over you with singing.

  27. Here we are together in your rejoicing, in your singing.

  28. In your life before our mighty warrior, the hosts and the angelic amongst us.

  29. And together we say, King Jesus be lifted up.

  30. Beloved Father, we're yours.

  31. Holy Spirit move through this room and have your way.

  32. Amen.

  33. Love to be here.

  34. Like Adam said, married to Roz.

  35. We love Red Door.

  36. Been here for five years.

  37. Love every second of it.

  38. It's like every, every sermon.

  39. Do we get Luke?

  40. Do we get Adam?

  41. Do we get Dale?

  42. It doesn't matter!

  43. They're all amazing!

  44. That's what Rozzy and I have said to each other about a hundred times.

  45. We love being here.

  46. We love the community.

  47. All our best friends came here.

  48. We just have so many dear friends.

  49. We love it.

  50. My kids said to me this week, I won't say which one, they said, Oh,

  51. our pastor's names, Adam and Eve.

  52. The Lord delights in you.

  53. But our family, we're passionate about a couple of things.

  54. We're passionate about the church and unity.

  55. We're passionate about Jesus reaching young people.

  56. Young people in poverty locally, young people in poverty globally,

  57. we're passionate about young people coming into their fullness in Christ.

  58. We know this is the heartbeat of Red Door and this is why God has

  59. brought us to this church and I want to honor you Red Door, my Red Door.

  60. Because check this out.

  61. You are sponsoring or releasing from poverty with compassion.

  62. 378 children.

  63. That's like three schools.

  64. Three small schools.

  65. Incredible.

  66. This is what that means.

  67. These are children who are surrounded by poverty.

  68. And if you didn't sponsor that child, we wouldn't be bringing another child in.

  69. Every child that's sponsored, we bring another one in

  70. because that one was sponsored.

  71. This is 378 more children who are now gone from covered in poverty to

  72. connected to a gospel focused church.

  73. That church has a mentor disciple in that church who comes with,

  74. who comes beside that child and walks with them their whole life.

  75. Just like in our youth group.

  76. We have, we have youth leaders who walk with the kids through all of high school.

  77. We have leaders who walk with his kids all the way till they finish their studies.

  78. 378 all glory To Jesus and he's the one who gets to take them for himself.

  79. Why?

  80. Because he wants them to know that he is the mighty warrior who delights

  81. in them, who saves them, who sees them and says you are beautiful and

  82. you're man enough, I'm with you.

  83. So I celebrate this incredible 378.

  84. Red Door is focused in two regions.

  85. The first region is Kabakalan in the Philippines.

  86. Red Door has been to this island many times.

  87. In fact, Red Door has launched two new compassion projects in the Philippines.

  88. The other area where Red Door is focused, where we are focused, is Thailand.

  89. Mae Sot, right on the border of Myanmar.

  90. And the churches across Cockburn, Fremantle, and Malville together.

  91. together, are focused on this area.

  92. Red Door has also launched a project just north of Maysot in an area called Atum.

  93. So, 378 kids, but also three new churches are now running the Compassion

  94. Project because of compassion.

  95. It is wonderful to let you know that we are going to be running a trip to Maysot.

  96. Adam will share more about that with the other churches

  97. in Coburn, Melville, Fremantle.

  98. Let me share a story.

  99. And when you hear this story, I want you to see two things.

  100. How the world sees young people and sees you and how

  101. the world wants to despise you.

  102. And I want you to see Zephaniah 3.

  103. 17. This is Michelle.

  104. She shared a story with me.

  105. Actually in Fremantle.

  106. My wife and I were with her and she shared it all in details.

  107. She said this, my parents said this to me.

  108. You're ugly.

  109. The opposite of what was prayed today.

  110. You're gonna be a thief, a drug addict, or you're gonna be a prostitute.

  111. This is the thinking of the slum where she was.

  112. This is the culture.

  113. This was the normal thinking.

  114. But her uncle told her parents about the compassion project,

  115. the local church running it.

  116. She was sponsored.

  117. This means she received health care, nutritious food,

  118. education, mentoring, discipling.

  119. She was one of the first to do our leadership training.

  120. All of our children from 12 to 20 do our transformational leadership training.

  121. This is what we call in Philippines so they can be agents

  122. of change in their communities.

  123. This is what we say.

  124. I believe what I'm about to say.

  125. Every child a disciple.

  126. Every disciple a disciple.

  127. We're raising up a hundred thousand disciples in the Philippines.

  128. Michelle said this.

  129. She said her sponsor wrote to her.

  130. Instead of hearing this, this is what her sponsor said, Michelle, you're beautiful.

  131. I love you.

  132. And Jesus loves you.

  133. Michelle said these words went right into her heart and

  134. started changing how she thinks.

  135. And I think this is exactly what God's saying to us today.

  136. Change how you think you're beautiful in Christ, you're wonderful.

  137. I said, Michelle, what do you do now?

  138. And I couldn't believe what she said.

  139. She said, I now work with girls in prostitution.

  140. I take them off the streets and I disciple them and give them their own businesses.

  141. I said, that's incredible.

  142. Your parents said you'd be a prostitute.

  143. Now you're releasing them from it.

  144. I said, how many of you helped?

  145. And she put her head down like this, ashamed.

  146. And she said to me, Only 115.

  147. I said, what?

  148. That's incredible.

  149. She said this to me.

  150. And what I'm about to say, you can't comprehend what I'm about to say,

  151. but we must try and comprehend this.

  152. She said in my city alone, there's another 100, 000 girls stuck in prostitution.

  153. The church must awaken.

  154. The church of Acts 2 must arise in its fullness because there's children

  155. and women trapped and saying, am I ugly, am I only worth prostitution,

  156. but the father is calling out through his church, I delight in you.

  157. I see you in me.

  158. I can make you all you were made to be.

  159. She gets the local pastors kids.

  160. She gets them on a radio station and they share the gospel to 500, 000 children.

  161. Every Saturday.

  162. Because one girl said, one sponsor said, You're beautiful Michelle, I see you.

  163. I saw her recently at Lausanne.

  164. Red Door sent Amit and I to the fourth Lausanne Congress.

  165. Billy Graham started the first one 50 years ago.

  166. Now every 15 years, the church has a global congress for the Great Commission.

  167. And, it said to me, I'm sitting on Michelle's table, she wants to

  168. see you, I said, I want to see her!

  169. So we went and caught up with each other, I'm like, how you going, how's it going

  170. with the girls you're working with?

  171. She said, Steve, you wouldn't believe it, now we've helped 150 girls, and I said,

  172. and that was incredible, but this next thing was just what we need to catch.

  173. She said to me And I'm so excited that in 2025, some of the girls who were rescued

  174. are now going to take over running it from me, and they are going to be running it.

  175. Such is the transformation of the kingdom of God.

  176. Let's pray.

  177. Father, as we come into Acts 2 right now, I pray these words, the story of Michelle.

  178. would be our story.

  179. The story of Acts 2 would be our story, would be our city's

  180. story, would be Asia's story.

  181. Father, anything you want to do in us today, Lord, we repent from

  182. our distractions, from belittling ourselves, from saying we're not

  183. this, we're not in Zephaniah 317, we're not the pleasure of God.

  184. We repent.

  185. We come into the pleasure of God together in this room with

  186. you from Shalom or Red Door.

  187. We are one in Christ, and we say, Lord, in your pleasure, birth

  188. in this room what you want to do today in the mighty name of Jesus.

  189. Acts 2 is what I want to preach on today.

  190. I wrote this message over the last couple of days.

  191. I feel God is all over this.

  192. I'm so excited to bring it to us, Red Door.

  193. In Acts 2, the context is very similar to Michelle's story.

  194. Michelle's origin story is the opposite of Zephaniah 3.

  195. 17 to coming into the fullness of it.

  196. And I want to share today the origin story of the church of Jesus Christ.

  197. And I want to share the origin story of compassion.

  198. I want to see then what is God calling us to in this.

  199. In Acts 2, this is the context.

  200. The head of the church has just been crucified, and his name is Jesus.

  201. He was resurrected.

  202. But the context is the empire of the day, the religious system of the

  203. day, had just destroyed their leader.

  204. Had killed him, had put him on the cross, but he had rose from the dead.

  205. It is the Acts 2 story, the birthing of the church, the conception

  206. of the church, is in a city of foreign military oppression.

  207. And 40 years later, what's going to happen to Jerusalem is Rome is going to devastate

  208. and destroy Jerusalem and its temple.

  209. This is the context.

  210. In the middle of this, Acts 2, we see the birthing of another army.

  211. Not an army like the Romans or the religious system that

  212. also had their military.

  213. This is an army not of the world system.

  214. This is the army of Zephaniah 3.

  215. 17. This is the army led by the mighty warrior in some

  216. translations of Zephaniah 3.

  217. 17. It says, the Lord is a mighty warrior who saves.

  218. But it is, it is, it is An army that comes with great compassion

  219. and love and humility and, and through meekness inherits the earth.

  220. It brings the opposite spirit.

  221. In the middle of oppression, it brings salvation and healing.

  222. It brings the kingdom of God and it looks like the garden of Eden.

  223. And the opposite spirit is this.

  224. I'm going to stand here for this one because I saw Adam stand and

  225. speak, I thought, I like that.

  226. The opposite spirit is the Holy Spirit.

  227. The opposite spirit to the world which says you're ugly.

  228. Is the Holy Spirit who comes in us, upon us, between us and Christ, amongst us, and

  229. says, I will hover with you and tell you, you are the child, you're a child of God.

  230. You're a beloved child of God.

  231. I delight in you.

  232. I sing over you.

  233. This is who you are.

  234. I believe we're not just going to come into Zephaniah 3.

  235. 17. Individually, I truly believe we're going to come into Zephaniah 3 in 317

  236. as the church of Jesus Christ, beloved together of God, beloved together.

  237. I believe the unity that God is bringing the church into.

  238. It's so much more than what we've seen.

  239. It is the unity and the oneness of the Trinity, the way they love each other.

  240. We would know we are loved like this.

  241. And then.

  242. We would love each other like this and then We would love the world like

  243. this and they would see the opposite spirit They would see the Holy Spirit

  244. Acts 2 is the awesome Arrival of the Holy Spirit.

  245. It is the creation of us the church and it is the church's first great

  246. harvest of souls I want to look at Acts 2 today through the great unity

  247. it expresses through the Trinity.

  248. Then the great unity it expresses through the Church.

  249. And then how these two things conceive a great harvest.

  250. I want to share the great unity of the Trinity, the oneness of the Trinity,

  251. how that with the oneness of the Church conceives a great harvest.

  252. Acts 3 verse 1 When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.

    Acts 3:1

  253. Suddenly, a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled

  254. the whole house where they were sitting.

  255. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated

  256. and came to rest on each of them.

  257. All of them.

  258. Not just the leaders, not just the males, not just the Jews or the most pure Jews.

  259. No, all of them.

  260. were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other

  261. tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

  262. Now normally when we read Acts 2,

  263. we think of these few verses as this is the conceiving of the church.

  264. This little section here, this is the launch, but I want to bring

  265. it back to something a bit wider.

  266. Later on in this chapter, Paul says, sorry, Peter says in Acts 2.

  267. 32, look at this.

  268. Look how the church was not just a work of the Holy Spirit,

  269. it was a work of the Father.

  270. The Son and the Holy Spirit.

  271. The way the Trinity work is not Jesus goes out and says what he wants to

  272. say and does what he wants to do.

  273. When Jesus goes out he says what the Father is saying and

  274. does what the Father is doing.

  275. When the Holy Spirit goes out it's because he's come through Jesus,

  276. from the Father sent him through Jesus and Jesus has released him.

  277. There is such a oneness.

  278. There's a dance, there's a singing, there's an entwining of the Trinity,

  279. which is so intimate, which is even Zephaniah 3, 17, the Lord singing

  280. over us, it's only because the Lord is singing over each other.

  281. The Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit are in that beautiful

  282. song, that dance, that table.

  283. They are in this oneness and they're welcoming us.

  284. Into this together.

  285. The challenge of Acts 2 today is to come deeper and more full into

  286. who we are as the church and who we are as the church in the Trinity.

  287. Verse 32.

  288. Peter is preaching to the Jews in the same chapter and he says this,

  289. and look at the Trinity in this, look how they serve and love each other.

  290. God has raised this Jesus to life.

  291. We are all witnesses of it, exalted to the right hand of God.

  292. Now they are together.

  293. He has received from the Father, the Holy Spirit.

  294. It's this beautiful giving and receiving.

  295. And the Spirit has poured out what you now see and hear.

  296. For David did not ascend to heaven.

  297. And yet he said, the Lord said to my Lord.

  298. The father saying to the son, sit at my right hand until I make all your

  299. enemies a footstool for your feet.

  300. What does this mean?

  301. This is harkening back to a military psalm of David.

  302. In fact, two of the great of the three prophecies in Acts 2

  303. harken back to military passages.

  304. Amos.

  305. And this psalm are both military passages because God is revealing a

  306. church that is the most opposite spirit humble army to ever walk the earth.

  307. Therefore, let all Israel be assured of this.

  308. God has made this Jesus whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.

  309. And then it goes on about more about receiving the gift

  310. of the Holy Spirit in Jesus.

  311. This is what I want you to see.

  312. That the conception of the church was the Holy Spirit coming

  313. down on the body of Christ.

  314. It was that descending.

  315. But behind that was the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit in perfect oneness.

  316. And the Spirit was the one who came forward.

  317. But they were all together.

  318. Even Jesus, when he was baptized, it was, it was the Father.

  319. Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit together in union ministering,

  320. such is the oneness of the Trinity that we are going to come into.

  321. I believe this, the blueprints for a transformed globe, for a transformed

  322. nation, a transformed city, a transformed community, a transformed family.

  323. What does that look like?

  324. It looks like this.

  325. This is what I truly believe.

  326. It just looks like the Trinity in oneness.

  327. It looks like beloved family.

  328. I love saying goodnight to my kids and saying goodnight, my beloved son, Peter.

  329. Goodnight, my beloved daughter, Charlotte.

  330. Goodnight, my beloved daughter, Lily.

  331. Why?

  332. Because in the beloved, which is a beautiful expression of the Trinity,

  333. God is bringing us into this as family.

  334. What really does heaven on earth look like?

  335. I'll tell you what it looks like.

  336. Heaven looks like the Trinity.

  337. The Trinity is what the church will look like as we come deeper into

  338. the five unities expressed in this passage, which reflect the Trinity.

  339. What I want to share now is as I've gone through Acts 2, there's five different

  340. unities that the church is expressed at.

  341. And this is what I want to ask you as we go through these five,

  342. please don't gloss over them.

  343. Which is the ones you need to come deeper into, at least come deeper into three.

  344. You can't have one or two you can glass over.

  345. But I want three, not one, I want three that you're like, yes,

  346. Lord, take me deeper into this.

  347. Why?

  348. So the church of Jesus Christ would become more and more like the

  349. glorious trinity so we can produce a harvest that looks like them.

  350. The first of these great unities.

  351. is expressed in verse five.

  352. It says in verse five, now they were staying in Jerusalem, God fearing

  353. Jews from every nation under heaven.

  354. And if you go down, it talks about how they're all there together and they

  355. start hearing the Spirit of God in their own language, the hearing, the speaking

  356. in tongues in their own language.

  357. Then at the end, I love this.

  358. Look at what it says.

  359. I'll put it in yellow.

  360. We hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own language, in our

  361. own tongues in some translations.

  362. What does this mean if they start seeing the wonder of God?

  363. I believe they're seeing the Trinity's dance, the Zephaniah 317,

  364. the pleasure of the Father to the Son, the Son to the Spirit, the

  365. Spirit searching the Father's heart.

  366. The Father saying, Jesus, go to the cross and Jesus saying,

  367. yes, I will go to the cross.

  368. And then Jesus going to the cross and Jesus coming back and the Father saying,

  369. now I will give you nations, my son.

  370. And I will give them to you.

  371. Holy Spirit, go awaken the church.

  372. Jesus deserves nations.

  373. It's in this beautiful expression of who the Trinity is.

  374. The glory of God.

  375. This oneness.

  376. That I believe the nations are going to go, Whoa, behold the glory of God.

  377. Behold His wonder.

  378. What does it look like?

  379. It looks like oneness.

  380. Not brokenness, oneness, delight, deeper joy, deeper oneness.

  381. And so the five great unities in this, the first one is, the first great unity

  382. is ethnic unity, nation to nation unity.

  383. The world system says nation versus nation.

  384. What can I get from you?

  385. My nation is greater.

  386. God's system says, every nation, one in Christ on their knees, giving

  387. glory to the lamb that was slain.

  388. This is the oneness God is calling the church into.

  389. into.

  390. I believe because of technologies that have been released.

  391. This is the season for the greatest oneness of nations ever on the earth.

  392. We are going to accelerate in this last year, Rosie, I met myself, a few friends.

  393. We put on a 12 hour prayer meeting for students to pray for 12 hours

  394. and, and sovereignly six other cities in Asia joined us to pray.

  395. Our prayer was.

  396. Students praying in every school across Asia, students coming

  397. together in unity, every school in Asia, Oceania, kids on their knees

  398. saying, Jesus, come visit the school.

  399. After this prayer meeting, which God has so graced, something stuck in our hearts

  400. that those in Hong Kong and those in Philippines said to us, they both prayer

  401. walked their schools and the universities.

  402. In June.

  403. They didn't realize that.

  404. There was no communication.

  405. They just did it.

  406. And then we caught that here in Perth.

  407. So one of our team made a website.

  408. We launched it last Friday.

  409. And then we get a message when we launch this website to get every

  410. prayer, every school documented and recorded at every school, university.

  411. We can, you can log when you, when you walk a school.

  412. And our heart is that we've had every school logged.

  413. This guy in Nepal messages me on Messenger and goes, Hey, I

  414. saw what you guys are doing.

  415. We're prayer walking.

  416. So I zoom in with him and it's like, Whoa, this guy is speaking the same

  417. language as what we're speaking.

  418. We've never met before.

  419. God is teaching him the same thing as God's teaching us about students.

  420. He's already done a prayer walk.

  421. He gave us a whole like five page document that he's going to use to get schools

  422. involved, which we can now use in Perth.

  423. We've gone back to Hong Kong and Philippines and said,

  424. Hey, we caught this from you.

  425. Now we give it back to you.

  426. This is the unity of the nations collaborating.

  427. It's so simple these days from what it was in the past.

  428. What is God going to do with us?

  429. So this is my question for this first one.

  430. How can you be united with the different ethnicities in the

  431. church locally and globally?

  432. What does it look like?

  433. Even sponsoring children, right?

  434. We are united with the church in Philippines and Maysot.

  435. What does it look like?

  436. That every barrier and every wall that the world puts on, gone.

  437. One in Christ.

  438. Like the Trinity.

  439. Like the Father and the Son are one.

  440. We are one.

  441. The second great unity is this.

  442. Verse 14.

  443. I'm going to read this.

  444. Male and female unity.

  445. Then Peter stood up with the eleven, raised his voice, and addressed the crowd,

  446. fellow Jews and all who live in Jerusalem.

  447. Let me explain this to you.

  448. Listen carefully to what I say.

  449. These people are not drunk as you suppose.

  450. It's only nine in the morning.

  451. No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel.

  452. In the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on all people, your sons.

  453. And your daughters.

  454. will prophesy.

  455. Your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

  456. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my spirit in

  457. those days and they will prophesy.

  458. Both sons and daughters, both men and women.

  459. I love at Red Door, you've got Luke and Beck.

  460. You've got Adam and Dael, you've got Cleon and Jodie, you've got husbands

  461. and wives who are both moving with God boldly, that we can see and

  462. go, yes, that's what it looks like.

  463. But wait, Steve, what about what Paul said in, in effort to the church in Ephesus and

  464. the church in Corinth when he said, women can't teach and women must be silent.

  465. In the context of those cities, they were coming out of pagan cults

  466. where the woman would teach very deceptive, very deceptive things.

  467. And Paul's like, no, don't let these women who haven't learnt, who've been

  468. unlearnt, don't let them teach, they're going to teach the wrong things.

  469. But in other areas, Paul's like, this is my apostle, and she's a female, this

  470. is my preacher, and she's a female, this is a leader, she's a female, honour her.

  471. Both are true.

  472. Don't let a woman teach you she's untrained, but if she

  473. is and the Holy Spirit is upon her, let it be fully released.

  474. Nothing held back.

  475. This broke me once.

  476. I was in Dallas, and this was like a sword into my stomach, and I prayed

  477. to the sword into your stomach.

  478. If this is an issue for you.

  479. This girl stood up in front of us, it was 120 litres from across the globe,

  480. 10 from each region of the world.

  481. And she said this quote, she said, the reason why we never finished the Great

  482. Commission in the 20th century, when the Spirit of God poured out so strongly.

  483. She said this, and it was like the Lord just put the sword into me.

  484. She said, we were like a plane with one wing.

  485. The men were released, but the women weren't.

  486. The men were prophesying.

  487. The men were leading.

  488. The men was moving with the spirit, but the women were always oppressed.

  489. What happens when the Church of Jesus Christ takes off with two wings?

  490. The male and the female in oneness.

  491. My question for you when it comes to this one is, How can you be part of

  492. that plane having two strong wings?

  493. I love that analogy.

  494. Unity three in the same passage, we can see three or four age groups

  495. functioning in the Holy Spirit.

  496. Look at this in the yellow, your sons and daughters, your young men.

  497. Your men and women and your old men, four generations, all functioning

  498. in the Holy Spirit together.

  499. Recently, when we wanted to launch these, this prayer in all the schools

  500. and this prayer walk strategy, we invited 13 families over to our home.

  501. And, five years earlier, we'd organized all the GeoNetwork leaders.

  502. Listen to what a GeoNetwork is.

  503. I love this.

  504. Is this not an expression of what I'm sharing?

  505. And our city.

  506. Across all of Perth and WA, there are 31 geo networks.

  507. It's where the pastors and the leaders come together in the same local area

  508. and meet regularly to pray, disciple, and serve their city together,

  509. to do their assignment together.

  510. So we invited these leaders over to my home, Ahmet, myself, and a few others,

  511. invite them over to our home, and said, bring one young person each so we can

  512. bring the next generation into what God is doing amongst the pastors in our city.

  513. They come over, and Nick Scott, who's like the, a great father in our city, he

  514. says, on the way here, God showed me this.

  515. And he grabbed me by the side, and he said, in the past, we've

  516. passed the baton on, and left the next generation to go alone.

  517. And he grabbed me, and he said, now it's like a three legged race, and he

  518. put imaginary tape around my leg and we started walking together and then I

  519. grabbed my wife Rosie and I said and Rosie too and I brought her by my side and I

  520. wrapped her leg and so me, Nick and Rosie and Nick's older than me so it's like this

  521. generational oneness are walking together.

  522. The Spirit of God fell in the room.

  523. The Holy Spirit fell in the room.

  524. For the next hour, these leaders in our city spoke about how we're

  525. going to win our city as one family.

  526. When we come into family, when we come into oneness of the Trinity,

  527. when we reflect the authenticity of the Trinity, the humility, the moving

  528. together of the Trinity, when we reflect that, that is the blueprint for Perth.

  529. So let's do it.

  530. Sorry.

  531. A month later, sorry, a month ago, five years later, we've got

  532. these 13 families in my home.

  533. And we want to talk about how we're going to mobilise all the Gen Z's in our city.

  534. Slowly but moving boldly.

  535. And one guy says this, and we're going around the room and he starts crying.

  536. And he says, I had a dream two weeks ago, and I didn't know what it meant,

  537. but I think I know what it means.

  538. And he's weeping in front of us.

  539. And he didn't realize this, but as he shares his story, he's one meter

  540. away from where Nick shared the story about the three legged race.

  541. And now he stands there and says, the Lord spoke to me about the third leg.

  542. We're like, what's the third leg?

  543. He said, when you have a baton race, there's four in the race.

  544. There's four people in the race, and only one person crosses the line, and

  545. only one person starts, but he said this, The Lord was telling me the

  546. dream, just keep running the third leg.

  547. He was like, that means I don't get to run the fourth leg.

  548. No, I want you to run the third leg to set up Gen Z, to set up Gen Alpha.

  549. Look at these four generations in this verse.

  550. The Lord is like, it's like the first generation.

  551. We honor the fathers and mothers in our city.

  552. We come off your shoulders.

  553. We honor the Gen X's and the Gen Y's, but like Gen Z and Alpha coming after us.

  554. See them in Christ.

  555. Because we're passing the baton, not to run alone, but to tie our

  556. legs to theirs and say, let's win this city together as one family.

  557. My question for this unity is this,

  558. what is your role in the four baton race?

  559. The next unity is unity by location.

  560. Verse 44 says, all the believers.

  561. We're together.

  562. Verse 46, Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.

  563. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.

  564. This is a unity of we're in the same location.

  565. We're in Christ.

  566. Let's be one.

  567. God's bringing the global church together.

  568. He's also bringing the local church together around tables

  569. to eat together like family.

  570. This is so precious.

  571. We were walking at school.

  572. We just walk this prayer walk to school on Thursday, me and my mate.

  573. We go around the school and we get to the end of the school and I see a teacher.

  574. I'm like, hey, how you going?

  575. She's like, yeah, good.

  576. And like, hey, we just prayer walk to your school.

  577. She's like, oh, she comes over to us as she goes.

  578. We have had the toughest day.

  579. Can I take a photo and send it to our principal?

  580. I was like, does she want to, like, complain to us?

  581. She goes, what's your names?

  582. What churches are you from?

  583. She sends a photo of us to her principal.

  584. We pray for her.

  585. She's so moved.

  586. My mate goes back to his young adult's church, sits down next

  587. to a friend, and he's like, guess what just happened to us?

  588. We just prayer walked to school and this teacher was like, oh mate, you

  589. don't know we had this hardest day.

  590. And his friend says, oh, I'm a teacher at that school.

  591. We were robbed today.

  592. That means so much.

  593. And she sent it to all her teacher friends.

  594. These guys prayer walked our school.

  595. What is that?

  596. We're not from the same school, but we're locally one.

  597. They needed an army and the army rocked up.

  598. The army rocked up at their time of need.

  599. God is mobilizing an army that looks like family, but comes

  600. with the opposite spirit.

  601. It comes with the Holy Spirit and you can't orchestrate that.

  602. But when the Holy Spirit is birthing a church, it's divine appointment.

  603. After Divine Appointment, Adam and I were in Mae Sot and we sat down with these

  604. different pastors in Thailand and we took 10 pastors here in Perth from the same

  605. local area and we sat down with 10 pastors from Thailand and we had this unity table

  606. and this pastor said to me afterwards, he said this, and this is exactly what God's

  607. doing amongst us, he said, when we came together it was like the walls came down.

  608. It felt like we were one.

  609. It felt like we were family.

  610. He said to me, for 20 years I've had pastors visiting me from across the world.

  611. He said they never looked me in the eye.

  612. This is a man of God who's in a sl serving 200 kids, running

  613. a church, a compassion program.

  614. It's a Muslim slum.

  615. It's 80 percent refugees.

  616. He's right on the front line.

  617. But pastors wouldn't look him in the eye.

  618. But that day, when we sat around the table, this warrior of God,

  619. in this most front line place in the globe, felt like family.

  620. This is how God is arising an army that doesn't come and destroy,

  621. but comes and brings life.

  622. What.

  623. Does.

  624. What does unity look like for you with those who have the same locality as you?

  625. If you're called to a school, are you in union with the other Christians?

  626. If you're called to a workplace, are you praying with those in your workplace?

  627. Are you sitting around a table with them on your street?

  628. Are you one with the Christians or have you divided?

  629. Divided.

  630. I bet you're a little bit different.

  631. You don't believe this.

  632. No, we are one in Christ.

  633. We reflect the Trinity.

  634. And the last great unity in this passage of God launching his church for us is

  635. the unity of united in possessions.

  636. And I think this is the hardest for Australia.

  637. I think the developing world, they get this.

  638. We need to learn from them.

  639. This is so hard, but what happens, it says in verse 44, and we've got to

  640. come into this, even though it's the opposite spirit of what Australia thinks.

  641. All the believers were together and had everything in common.

  642. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.

  643. Wow.

  644. What does deep faithfulness to giving to those around you look like?

  645. How can you do it in unity?

  646. What does it mean to the church in the developing world who are on the front

  647. line of a sl a pastor who's amongst this tough area, and we say, you're not alone.

  648. We're going to sponsor more kids.

  649. We're going to get more kids so your church can be mobilized.

  650. I'm going to finish with this story.

  651. Compassion started in a war.

  652. Two nations fighting each other.

  653. It was right in this war where compassion was conceived, just like

  654. the church in Revelations, in Acts 2.

  655. Right in this war, the Korean War, a minister from America goes over to preach

  656. to the troops, and he sees this truck coming towards him, and he thinks they're

  657. just picking up rags off the ground, but as he gets closer, he goes up to

  658. it, and he sees what they're picking up off the ground and putting in the trash.

  659. Is children Who had frozen to death overnight Because no one

  660. was looking after them Where was the Acts 2 church that shares

  661. possession so children don't freeze?

  662. It's crazy that Joel 2 that harkens in Acts 2 harkens back to trafficking.

  663. The book of Joel mentions trafficking of children twice.

  664. Mesa and Philippines where we are focusing are two of the most prevalent trafficking

  665. areas in the globe, but red door and compassion with the local churches saying.

  666. Not on our watch.

  667. Children be protected.

  668. Church of God arise.

  669. We resource you.

  670. We sponsor.

  671. We love you.

  672. We're with you.

  673. We church plant there with you.

  674. 50 years later.

  675. We had left Korea because poverty was broken there, and our CEO

  676. is standing amongst all the leaders of the church in Korea.

  677. Because now he wants to come back, and just as we launched Compassion

  678. in Korea amongst Great Poverty, now he wants Compassion to give.

  679. All your possessions shared.

  680. And he's speaking to all these ministers across and they're talking

  681. through him and he's like this is so rude So he says to his translator.

  682. Why are they talking through me and the translator?

  683. He jumps off the stage and he walks up to the crowd and he's like,

  684. why are you talking through him?

  685. And this man stands up and he says you don't need to tell us about

  686. compassion I'm a compassion child, now I lead this denomination.

  687. She's a compassion child, and she leads that denomination.

  688. He's a compassion child, and he leads this compassion child, this, this denomination.

  689. And so our CEO stood up and he said, If you're a compassion child in

  690. this room, I want you to stand up.

  691. And 70 80 percent of the leaders in the room stood up, looked at

  692. each other and started clapping.

  693. Because they realized that God had birthed His church through

  694. children who were freezing to death.

  695. That the global church has said, we see you, we're coming beside you.

  696. And that God had raised up these leaders.

  697. I don't just see 378 children, I see 378 disciples.

  698. Agents of change and a purpose.

  699. I pray every letter you write, you write that to the child that you're sponsoring.

  700. I pray as you walk out and you think, am I going to sponsor a child?

  701. You think, Oh, I see not just a child in poverty, but I see the church in Mesut.

  702. I see the church in Philippines.

  703. If you want to sponsor a child, another child, I ask you boldly,

  704. I ask you as the army of God that doesn't look like the world.

  705. To say, Jesus, if that's what you're calling me to do, yes, how many?

  706. Yes, how many I'm in, but I'm already one child came out to a dad today and

  707. said, dad, can we sponsor another chart?

  708. He's like, we're already sponsoring five.

  709. I love that.

  710. I love that the dad was already sponsoring five.

  711. I loved it.

  712. The girl who was like 10 or 12 was like 13.

  713. I don't know.

  714. We're kids.

  715. These days was like, Oh, there's more.

  716. Let's pray.

  717. I'll ask Adam to come up.

  718. Lord, God, it's these five great unities,

  719. multicultural unity, male female unity,

  720. intergenerational unity, unity wherever you've placed us in our location

  721. and all our possessions shared.

  722. Lord, there's pain for us to repent into the fullness of all of these, but Lord,

  723. what are you calling us to do today?

  724. If it's to give up 55 a month to sponsor a child, if it's to start

  725. a prayer, if it's to prayer walk a school, if it's to, when we have the

  726. Fremantle, outreach

  727. over Easter, it's to go, I'm all in for the outreach, Holy Spirit, have your way.

  728. Lord, I'm asking for two things, Lord, that where we have said no to oneness

  729. of the church, today we would say yes.

  730. And whatever that looks like practically.

  731. I pray we would say yes to that, in Jesus name, Amen.

  732. Give Steve a hand everybody.

  733. So he wrote those thoughts about the five unities, like, how long ago?

  734. Two days ago?

  735. And he's, I'm standing at the back and he's telling me about it.

  736. And I'm, I'm planned to speak at New Life Church on the 30th of March,

  737. in a couple, couple weeks is it?

  738. Yep.

  739. And I felt God Give me a title of the message and the message

  740. was entitled The Five Unities.

  741. And then Steve gets up there and says, today, he says, oh, it's the Five Unities.

  742. What do you think about that?

  743. I said, yeah, that sounds really good.

  744. I'll probably just steal your message.

  745. Is that okay?

  746. No, no.

  747. Because there's, I just want you to know, as we, what we've heard

  748. today, this is just, because Steve's very passionate, okay?

  749. And the reason why he's passionate today, is not just because the Lord's

  750. upon him, and his whole family, but he's, God's given him a message.

  751. And as I'm telling him, I've got this same title, do you hear what I'm saying here?

  752. There's something about this space right now for us as a church

  753. family, to recognize that the Lord is trying to bring oneness and

  754. wholeness and family to a new level.

  755. Right?

  756. So it's like, it's like there's levels in unity in some ways, you know,

  757. like you sort of, you know, like if you can't have unity in your local

  758. church, you've got a problem, right?

  759. It should be, should be able to, like for instance, if you can't have unity in

  760. your own family, like your own biological family, you've got a problem, if you can't

  761. have unity in your own church, you've got a problem, if you can't have unity

  762. in your own suburb, the body of Christ in the city of Coburn, maybe we've got

  763. a problem, because isn't Jesus bigger?

  764. And so these are, these are, these are such important points to ponder around

  765. how we continue to grow in unity towards that family, towards that oneness.

  766. One of the things

  767. Compassion, don't realize

  768. that they're doing, even though Steve realizes it, is actually, Compassion

  769. is building unity in the body of Christ, you know, in a very gentle way.

  770. And so what's happening is all the churches who love

  771. compassion, guess what they do?

  772. They're really close.

  773. They're like best friends, right?

  774. Because why?

  775. Compassion is actually cultivating unity in

  776. this space, which is

  777. so encouraging and which is why, you know, we've been partnering

  778. with Compassion for 11 years now.

  779. And as Steve said, we've been on a few trips to Thailand.

  780. We've actually been on five trips.

  781. And, we've done them usually in the month of November, like early December.

  782. And we've had a bit of a hiatus on trips.

  783. Everyone usually asks me, when are the Compassionate Trips

  784. starting again?

  785. Guess what?

  786. They're starting again.

  787. And so hopefully, don't quote me on this, but we're 80 percent sure that in January

  788. of 2026, we're late January, 2026, we're going to be having a new, a new trip.

  789. But it's going to be slightly different, look, different.

  790. It's not just Red Door doing the trip.

  791. It's actually different churches, school groups, anyone who's connected to the

  792. region of, on the border

  793. of northern Thailand, which is that Mae Sot area, they're going to be

  794. invited to be a part of that trip.

  795. Why?

  796. Because this is not just about creating unity in a singular church

  797. community, it's about creating unity in the body of Christ.

  798. So if you're interested in finding out more about that coming trip, it's

  799. not going to be in the Philippines this year, it's going to be, or next

  800. year, it's going to be in Thailand.

  801. And so if you are interested in finding out more about that, please send me an

  802. email, like an expression of interest.

  803. And I'd love to begin to collate that as we work towards January 2026.

  804. Is that okay?

  805. I had a video to show you, but what I might do is play it after the service,

  806. because things are tricking away.

  807. We've got sausages to eat, yeah?

  808. The last thing I just wanted And children's sponsor!

  809. We just want to pray for the work of compassion.

  810. So why don't you stand with me this morning?

  811. We're going to end

  812. this way.

  813. And if you, sponsor a

  814. child, you can just raise your hand right now.

  815. Awesome.

  816. Father, in the name of Jesus, we recognize that it takes a village,

  817. it takes a family, it takes the body of Christ together in unity

  818. to see the kingdom of God come.

  819. As it is in heaven, so shall it be on earth.

  820. Father, we ask God for every child represented in this place that they would

  821. have downloads from heaven about who they really are, that they are beautiful and

  822. they are worth fighting for, that they're a man and they've got what it takes.

  823. Holy Spirit, please come into every child's heart.

  824. heart represented here today, that they would see themselves growing as

  825. fully devoted followers of Christ, being weapons for the kingdom of God.

  826. Father, we ask your blessing upon that very work.

  827. Father, for the work of compassion, for those children who are yet to be

  828. sponsored, for the hurting, for the vulnerable, for the, those who are.

  829. Where poverty is more speaking into their lives than you are.

  830. God, we pray, rescue their hearts today and use your

  831. church globally to do just that.

  832. We pray for every single church leader in, in countries where there's the

  833. church centers in, especially in Thailand and in, in, in Philippines.

  834. Father, we ask God for those church leaders, the workers, the

  835. teachers, the support workers.

  836. Father, we ask for your anointing to be upon them, protect them, keep them

  837. safe, that they would see the goodness of God in the land of the living.

  838. that they would see your very power at work through them to make a difference.

  839. Father, sustain them, keep them safe we pray.

  840. And Father, thank you for allowing us to participate in this work.

  841. And Father, We, we thank you God that you would lead us to know how do we

  842. participate in the all growing picture of family, this growing picture of

  843. unity across the planet, but also in my backyard, in Jesus mighty name.

  844. And everybody said, Amen, Amen.
