  1. Hello, a big welcome to the We Are Zion Sermon podcast.

  2. We are a church based out of Chennai, India.

  3. We are thrilled that you tuned in today and hope that you will

  4. be refreshed, revived and energized by what you hear.

  5. The year 2025 is 1 where we will be positioned by God to possess

  6. our promise we have with us today.

  7. Pastor Vasu, share precious insights with us on how to grow

  8. an intimacy with God. As you listen in, would you look

  9. deeper at yourself and see what keeps you from a growing

  10. intimacy with your Maker? I know many of you names are

  11. difficult. I'm getting better in knowing

  12. names. But I call my wife darling.

  13. Only I never get into trouble. Good, good, good, good.

  14. It's a joy to be back in church. And thank you.

  15. Yeah. Just continue on the theme.

  16. What our brother sharing. I just want to read one verse

  17. and it's John chapter 14, 12. So it's we'll read and yeah,

    John 14 chapter mention

  18. we'll get this one statement on the board.

  19. I'll tell you the statement. The statement is to achieve the

  20. observed, observed absurd. Absurd.

  21. Yeah, that is odd and thing. You must attempt the impossible

  22. to achieve the absurd. You must attempt the impossible.

  23. Absurd. In other words, absurd.

  24. What absurd, stranger? Strange.

  25. OK, just write that word and let's leave this verse all

  26. together. Really.

  27. I tell unto you, who believes in me will do the works, and I do.

  28. And they will do even greater works than this because I'm

  29. going to the Father. I'll tell you a truth that you

  30. need to understand. Whether you're Pentecostal or

  31. you don't believe this, I don't believe that, or what, I'm not

  32. concerned. Take the words of Jesus our

  33. Lord. This is the exact word of the

  34. Lord, and the Lord Jesus Christ simply says this.

  35. My son, my daughter, if you love me, if you believe in me, if you

  36. believe what I can make of you, you will do the things that I

  37. have done and you'll do greater works.

  38. Here is the greatest lie, the greatest lie that we have

  39. believed. That is that we are ordinary

  40. people. There is no ordinary person.

  41. They've never been. But if you believe you're

  42. ordinary, you'll remain and die as an ordinary person.

  43. My whole life changed when I began to realize I am not an

  44. ordinary person because of the power, the grace that can

  45. operate through my life. No matter what happened to you,

  46. no matter what people treated you, how your parents treated

  47. you, how your teacher treated you, how anybody has treated you

  48. in the world and you. And, and I'm not just saying

  49. that's nothing. No, no, they're all very painful

  50. incidents have happened and I've experienced them a little bit.

  51. But I want to say one thing, by experience, the intimacy with

  52. God and knowing how deeply, deeply you're loved, your brain

  53. can be rewired. The function of your brain can

  54. change, the structure of your brain can change completely and

  55. you can become brilliant, exciting, joyful and awesome

  56. person. Don't even settle for us.

  57. Don't even settle for us. If this is true and to say, and

  58. Jesus Lord simply said, I came that you may have life and have

  59. it abundantly. None of us need to be a victim

  60. of your past because Christ came to set us free from all grief

  61. and pain, rejection hurt and fill us with this love so we

  62. could be set free. We're able to get the

  63. statements, I said let's see. Yeah, must because there is no

  64. ordinary person. I'll give you a yeah.

  65. One of the things that you're alive, one of the things you're

  66. alive, OK, one of the things that you have been set free by

  67. the Lord Jesus Christ and you have come into that abundance of

  68. life is that you will have new ideas, creative ideas.

  69. And if you don't have creative ideas and new ideas, you're

  70. dead. Because where the Spirit of God

  71. is what is that there is Rabati. And so the the if you are truly

  72. experienced, the intimacy with God, which I'm going to talk

  73. about hopefully and finish his that in that enjoyment of God

  74. and he is your yeah, I have a whole slide and we can see all

  75. of that. But let me just say this to you

  76. that Jesus invites us to be his best friend.

  77. John 1515 and John 15. We will bring that word and and

  78. yeah, we'll keep this visualizer available so you could.

  79. Yeah. I no longer call you servants

  80. because servant does not know his master's business.

  81. Instead I call you friends for everything that I learnt from my

  82. father, I've made known to you. This is invitation.

  83. This is the invitation that God gives and says, my son, my

  84. daughter, I want you to enjoy friendship with you that he

  85. wants you to do. He wants you that.

  86. There is some I think it is in Luke 17.

  87. I believe there is a parable that our Lord says about he says

  88. 1710. I believe you got to say that

  89. this is intimacy. This is intimacy that that God

  90. calls us friends and and and if he's my best friend and if he's

  91. always with me, there is not one dull moment in my life.

  92. If somebody your good best friend, right?

  93. He's your best friend who deeply loves you, right And he clearly

  94. cares for you and he's with you. I was doing a seminar in in

  95. Bangalore and with another doctor.

  96. And so as we were arranging and just waiting for people to come,

  97. we arranged the mic and all of that and, and I said I think we

  98. need a blackboard. It would be nice to have a

  99. blackboard, right? And the doctor was also teaching

  100. with me. He said, what pastor already

  101. you're bored, bored and bored, you know, blackboard and bored.

  102. He's playing on those words. And you know what I said to him?

  103. I said this to him, Doctor, with Christ, I didn't.

  104. You survive. The word I said was I have.

  105. I have learned never to be bored with myself for more than a few

  106. seconds in my life. I'll say that again, OK?

  107. I have learned not to be bored with myself more than a few

  108. seconds in my life. He said let us sit because Eve

  109. Jesus is my best friend and if he invites me to an intimate,

  110. loving relationship with Him which he longs for, Hallelujah.

  111. He longs for my company more than I ever could long for His

  112. company. And if he is an amazingly

  113. awesome person who deeply, deeply loves you in spite of

  114. knowing everything about you and if you are in His presence,

  115. there is no dull movement. Cannot be, because He's

  116. absolutely real and he deeply loves you.

  117. He knows everything about you. Every sin that you ever

  118. committed, He still loves you. Yesterday I was talking to

  119. somebody and I was saying a concept that I never knew

  120. myself. But thanks.

  121. I'm into counseling, and I learned a lot from counseling.

  122. I learned this from a counselor who had come for counseling.

  123. Gaslighting. You know that?

  124. Yeah, good. How many of you have never heard

  125. that term at all? Gaslighting.

  126. How many? Everybody knows gaslighting.

  127. Fantastic. I'll go to the next one there.

  128. The greatest gaslighter is the devil.

  129. The devil will make you feel guilty, for which you are not,

  130. because if your sins are all forgiven, you don't have to feel

  131. guilty even for a millisecond, not even for a millisecond.

  132. If you recognize that the devil is a gaslight in your life and

  133. he's manipulating you, manipulating you, and making you

  134. feel insignificant, unworthy, good for nothing, it's all your

  135. fault. Nobody can ever love you.

  136. You are unworthy of his love. You don't fit and qualify.

  137. Only fight for His love. That is a gaslighter.

  138. Did I understand Gaslight incorrectly?

  139. And once you realize that he's a gaslighter and Jesus Christ is

  140. my best friend who loves me and has forgiven me, there is no

  141. dull moment. Yeah, I'm dancing.

  142. Yeah, there is no Dal moment. Gas lighting is also

  143. manipulation, right? Makes you feel insignificant.

  144. Everything is bad about you. You don't.

  145. You are not good enough. And gas lighting.

  146. Listen to this destroys your sense of reality, understanding

  147. of reality, correct. Am I saying correctly?

  148. And the reality is you're deeply loved.

  149. The reality is that when he looks at you and me and he says

  150. all your sins are washed away. My son, just feel my love and

  151. embrace and feel my hug, hugs and kisses and celebrate that

  152. and live creatively, dynamically, powerfully,

  153. spontaneously. Hallelujah.

  154. I don't think you ever associated gaslighting with the

  155. devil, did you? And once you realize that he is

  156. a great gaslighter and then Christ is my best friend, you

  157. can enjoy intimacy with God. I went for a conference in

  158. Singapore and it was an international conference all

  159. over. People had come and there was a

  160. speaker from Ethiopia. Wait, man, but from Ethiopia, he

  161. was a mission in Ethiopia and he was giving one of the talks.

  162. And you know how you go for these cons, you get the big

  163. files with all their notes and all that stuff.

  164. And as he was giving the story, he said my notes are there.

  165. What I prepared to give a presentation in this conference.

  166. But these things that I'm sharing is not there in the

  167. notes, OK, What I'm sharing is not there in the notes.

  168. And then he said these words, if God has not spoken to me and

  169. given me a new thought from the time I send the notes were to be

  170. printed and distributed for this conference.

  171. And now if God has not given me new thoughts, I'm not walking

  172. with God because one of the signs that your best friend, He

  173. will give you new thoughts. I was talking to my wife three

  174. days ago. It's a very good thing, man.

  175. We're not talking only problems. And I saw your wife and I said

  176. she asked me to do some shopping and I tried to obey my wife as

  177. much as possible. No, Trust and obey.

  178. Trust God and obey your wife. OK, OK And I was walking back.

  179. I came back home and I I said, as I was walking on the road and

  180. and I asked what is the difference between me and

  181. anybody on the road? What's the difference between me

  182. and anybody on the road? OK Then I said to my wife, the

  183. one thing that is different. There are many things and one

  184. thing that is sure is the quality of my thinking and my

  185. feeling is much deeper, much more joyful and happier than at

  186. least a few people on the road. Why?

  187. Because Jesus is my best friend. Jesus is my best friend.

  188. Here is my definition of salvation.

  189. Salvation is an invitation. Salvation is an invitation to

  190. repentance and faith. To enjoy friendship, fellowship,

  191. and celebration of His presence in your life.

  192. That's salvation. And in that enjoyment of

  193. fellowship and in the enjoyment of his intimacy and the

  194. enjoyment of his presence in this in in your life, you will

  195. read the Bible, you will witness, you'll get new thoughts

  196. and you'll obey him because obeying him, obeying him almost

  197. becomes automatic. Hallelujah.

  198. In one John the 5th chapter, I believe it was two and three.

  199. His commandments are not burdensome because of his love.

  200. I enjoy his love so deeply. I enjoy his love so deeply.

  201. That when my wife says some bad things about my sister or my

  202. mother or my my own family, it's very painful.

  203. Yeah, I get, I seem to get want to get angry with you.

  204. That's a natural feeling. But darling, but God, you deeply

  205. love me. And I choose to bless her.

  206. I choose to forgive her. I choose to be healed of that

  207. pain and fill me with your love. And so Lord, help me to be

  208. normal and not to have a long face all the day.

  209. Let me put it the other way. The other way is that if my if,

  210. if I'm so close to the deep, deep, deep, deep, deep love of

  211. God, my automatic nervous system, my immediate responses

  212. changes. I actually feel like cooking is

  213. what I feel like sometimes doing.

  214. And it's OK to admit that. But Lord, yeah, although it hurt

  215. me and I feel angry, I choose to release that.

  216. I want you to fill me with your love and help me to love my wife

  217. and my husband as you want me to do.

  218. That's intimacy, that's celebration, and it's not

  219. burdensome at all. And because of his deep love,

  220. everything becomes easy. OK?

  221. John 14 and this comes as a result of continuous obedience

  222. to him and which is again because of the celebration of

  223. his intimate love, celebration of his awesome presence in our

  224. lives and is an awesome recognition of his deep, deep

  225. love. John 14 now.

  226. Was 23 read the message Bible. If anyone loves me, he will be

  227. careful and I said to you this being careful it's it's a it

  228. becomes a way of life. Let me just say this.

  229. The more quickly and joyfully and willingly you listen to His

  230. voice, to that extent you're mature.

  231. Say that again, OK? More quickly and joyfully

  232. willing to listen to His voice. To that extent you become

  233. mature. OK, so when you and that's so

  234. important, that's so important to enjoy the intimacy of God.

  235. You cannot live in lust. You cannot live with pride.

  236. You cannot live with anxiety and worry and fear and still enjoy

  237. intimacy with God. He's not moving out.

  238. You're preoccupied. You're preoccupied.

  239. And when you are preoccupied, he becomes unemployed.

  240. And the reason why God told you not to be anxious?

  241. You know why God told you not to be anxious.

  242. You know why? Because he's anxious and worried

  243. about you in the right way. And when you obey him, therefore

  244. I can't live in sin and enjoy intimacy with God.

  245. Cannot. OK, let me just say this.

  246. None of us can live without the joy and the enjoyment of

  247. something in your life. But if Jesus Christ and His love

  248. becomes your greatest joy, no sin will be attractive to you

  249. because you're already enjoying. I'll say that again.

  250. I'll let it explain that. OK, we all like biryani.

  251. I guess anyone who doesn't like biryani will tell you something

  252. else and like biryani. And suppose you're having mutton

  253. biryani and then you have chicken kebab and and ghee roast

  254. here prawns. And then you have all these

  255. chicken mutton, mutton biryani, chicken kebab and all of that.

  256. And you're enjoying that. Every bit of You're enjoying it.

  257. Yeah. Why?

  258. Nobody told you about this hotel before, you know?

  259. Yeah. And then as you're enjoying it

  260. and you're just enjoying every mouth of it, somebody comes and

  261. offers you Mari Biscuit. You know?

  262. Mari Biscuit, It's the most Christian biscuit in the world,

  263. at least in India. I think Mari Biscuit has attend

  264. more Christian meetings than any other biscuit in the world.

  265. I believe so. Anyway, so somebody offers you

  266. Mari Biscuit while you're having this chicken and kebab and

  267. everything, would you like to take Mari Biscuit?

  268. I'll tell you this, when you have enjoyment of God and this

  269. deep, deep, deep, deep, deep love for you, every sin will

  270. become a Mari biscuit. She hurt me, I will hit hurt a

  271. pan. That is true.

  272. But if you are in deep, deep love, you will feel the hurt,

  273. you will have the temptation to kick back.

  274. But can you be filled with the love and the grace and the

  275. presence of God? Say that's OK, it hurt me, but I

  276. choose to forgive. It hurt me, but I bless you.

  277. The life operates and this friendship so I just been the

  278. message by and so intimacy of God is that this one we will

  279. move right into your neighborhood.

  280. The is intimacy, that's invitation, that's reality.

  281. What does gaslighting do to you? Distort reality, Distort

  282. reality. And when my eyes are open and

  283. when I realise the Father and the Son has moved into my

  284. neighborhood and that he is right here with me, I live in

  285. His joy and in his presence. And in his.

  286. In His presence there's Psalm 16, the last words, and in His

  287. presence there is fullness of joy.

  288. Just imagine for a minute the husband, wife, and both of them

  289. live in the fullness of the joy. That's fullness of the joy.

  290. They live in the fullness of the joy and they move and and they

  291. share that love and enjoyment together because the source is

  292. there. The source is there.

  293. That's an invitation. Psalm 16 last verse and the

  294. enjoyment of celebration of intimacy with God is yeah.

  295. Is anybody got mad? Psalm 16 last verse can be I'll

  296. make known the part of life. You'll fill me with joy in your

  297. presence, with eternal pleasure at your right hand.

  298. Can you be dull and boring at the same time?

  299. Can you? If you're dull and boring,

  300. what's the problem? What's the problem?

  301. You cannot be. That's the pleasure.

  302. John 1010 I came that you may have life and have it.

  303. The devil. Kill, steal, gaslighter.

  304. Go back and just read a little more about gaslighting.

  305. You'll know how Satan is very much like that, and it's a

  306. gaslighter. Everything is your fault.

  307. Your understanding of reality is wrong.

  308. You don't get it correctly. You have no capacity to

  309. understand anything correctly. And Jesus comes on the way and

  310. he says, My son, I came that you may have life and have it

  311. abundantly. My son, if I set you free,

  312. you'll be free indeed. My son, I've made you for great

  313. things. My daughter, I've made you for

  314. great things. Don't settle for less.

  315. Don't set me for less. I was seeing in First

  316. Thessalonians the 5th chapter, Paul says that in everything

  317. give thanks and but this is the rejoice ever more in everything

  318. give thanks, right? You know that verse, right?

  319. Yeah. So in pray without seizing, all

  320. of you say pray without seizing, pray without seizing.

  321. The intimacy of God is a celebration of God every

  322. millisecond of our life and living as friends, as a best

  323. friend with Him. I was listening a documentary

  324. about monastery and the journalist got the permission,

  325. special permission to go and talk to one of the monks in the

  326. monastery. And this ones is way out in

  327. Italy, I think it is. And they follow a different time

  328. zone itself completely. And to get in is very, very

  329. hard. The screening process is very

  330. difficult because the whole monastery is committed only one

  331. thing. When you join, you only commit

  332. for one thing, to continuously pray.

  333. Did I mention Dallas Willard's name last time when I came?

  334. Yeah. Dallas Willard said a very nice

  335. thing. You came.

  336. Dallas Willard said a very nice thing.

  337. Yeah. As who will go to heaven?

  338. Who will go to heaven? Good question, right?

  339. Normal answer. If you're born again, believe

  340. we'll go to heaven. Right.

  341. You accept he'll go to heaven. Yeah.

  342. Now he's a philosophy. So you love a Christian

  343. everything. And he said a very nice thing.

  344. Who will go to heaven. OK.

  345. And his reply wars. Anybody who can tolerate heaven

  346. will go to heaven. Did you get it?

  347. Anybody who can property gold, anybody who can just say, Father

  348. the Son is there and I'm just worshipping and enjoying him in

  349. his presence and I can tolerate that forever.

  350. You can go to heaven now. Not prepared for heaven.

  351. Not prepared for heaven. Perfect health.

  352. I want not prepared for heaven, a good job and prosperity and a

  353. better Khan you know must be been the blue colour.

  354. One thing I was to the Lord and that I will seek to be in the

  355. house and to see the beauty. There's only one thing that I

  356. thoroughly enjoy the beauty of God.

  357. You preferred heaven. If God is your greatest joy, you

  358. prefer heaven. And it's like that Sunday school

  359. student, you know, they asked him.

  360. The teacher told about the rich man in the last story.

  361. You remember that story? Yeah.

  362. You must say yes, as I tell the whole story.

  363. Yeah. OK.

  364. You want to see how many stories Jesus told?

  365. So she told the story and she asked, So what do you like to

  366. be? You like to be like the rich man

  367. or Lazarus 1. Smart child is everywhere,

  368. right? He said, Miss, I want to be like

  369. the rich man here and Lazarus there. 90% of Christians are

  370. there. And then God says, my son, my

  371. daughter, will I become your greatest joy?

  372. That's intimacy. That's intimacy.

  373. OK, We'll just see one more thing and then we'll close in

  374. one John. The 1st chapter of 1 John, John

  375. is saying that you know, he, he's writing these things

  376. because we'll bring 1 John chapter one, verse one and two

  377. and three and yeah, yeah, next verse.

  378. We have touched and we have felt that the life appeared and we

  379. have seen it and testified and we proclaim to you the eternal

  380. life which was with the Father and has appeared to us.

  381. We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard so that you also

  382. may have fellowship with us. Underline the word fellowship

  383. with us and our fellowship is with the Father and with the Son

  384. Jesus Christ. That's fellowship number.

  385. Fellowship, Amari biscuit and coffee to fellowship and our

  386. fellowship is with the Father. And with the Son Jesus Christ,

  387. this enjoyment of him and I do nothing.

  388. He just longs for life to respond to His love.

  389. That's all He wants. And as we celebrate and enjoy

  390. his love and the presence that He gives us freely, then we rest

  391. and relax and enjoy because you're deeply loved.

  392. OK, I have to close. Blessed are those who pre short

  393. messages for they should be called again.

  394. So I call this short. So you can imagine my long

  395. messages, you know. OK, so I'll close to this One

  396. South. What are the hindrances to this?

  397. What are the hindrances to this enjoyment of intimacy with God?

  398. I don't know if the slightest there in my presentation 5

  399. things that prevent us from no OK no problem I'll say then you

  400. can see the first thing that prevents us from enjoying this

  401. intimacy and celebration of God. One thing is your child

  402. rehearsal trauma and if you have been traumatized, if you've gone

  403. through abuse and birth and rejection or if you had a father

  404. who was very strict. And if you had a father who who

  405. never spent time with you or never authenticated you and

  406. loved you. And if you did not enjoy that,

  407. and if you did not have somebody who really cherished you and

  408. said the words that you're precious, you're awesome, you're

  409. competent. And so if we have been

  410. traumatized by child rehearsal trauma, you cannot fully

  411. understand and enjoy the intimacy of God because you're

  412. still stuck there. I'm unclean, I'm not good

  413. enough, I'm not worthy. Nobody can actually love me

  414. because my father himself did not love me.

  415. So nobody spent time with me as a child.

  416. Maybe I'm not good enough for God to spend time with me.

  417. Yesterday I was talking to somebody and I was saying when

  418. the parents spend more time outside and do not spend time

  419. with the with the children, the message the child gets is this.

  420. I'm dull and boring, uninteresting.

  421. That's why my father and mother do not spend time with me.

  422. So some rule in our counselling is this.

  423. Children are the world's best recorders, but the world's worst

  424. interpreters. That's why when there's a

  425. divorce and the separation, the child blames themselves for it.

  426. So you have to be healed of that, and God can heal us.

  427. OK, God can heal us. Isaiah 61.

  428. If you keep reading that, you'll see that the other thing that

  429. will prevent us from experience this intimacy of God is this

  430. one, your thought pattern and negative thinking.

  431. That's the second one. Your thought pattern and

  432. negative thinking will prevent you.

  433. That's the second point. If you have constantly thought

  434. pattern of anxiety, fear, worry and anger and bitterness and

  435. that has become a habit, your thought pattern and your habits

  436. you are thinking is constantly going there, then you can't

  437. enjoy your thought pattern and habits of thinking.

  438. That's the second point. If you come from villages which

  439. you've seen villages and there's a forest or there's no Rd.

  440. people will keep walking and then there's a path, right?

  441. What do you call that? What do you call it in Tamil?

  442. What part of the path? Yeah, and that part is something

  443. that has become a habit, right? We we walk there.

  444. So listen to this. Your mind and my mind also

  445. builds patterns and habits. And if God doesn't change your

  446. thinking pattern by the power of the Holy Spirit, you'll

  447. constantly live in pride, anxiety, worry, anger,

  448. bitterness, and lust. And if that is your thought

  449. pattern you get stuck to, you cannot enjoy intimacy with God.

  450. Some people are so, so conscious, are living in anxiety

  451. and fear and worry. They live in anxiety in such a

  452. way because that has become a pattern.

  453. They get used to that pattern of living and if they're not

  454. anxious, they're anxious. Why they're not anxious?

  455. And, and some people, and some people tragically, they cannot

  456. rest and relax. And I'll tell you one way that

  457. you know that you are transformed.

  458. I'll tell you one way. There are many ways.

  459. If you are transformed, you will leave the outcome to God.

  460. Now don't do a shabby job, do what you work you can do, but

  461. leave the outcome to God. Here is another one.

  462. Ruthlessly write this down ruthlessly.

  463. Eradicate hurry from your life ruthlessly.

  464. Now I'm not encouraging you to be lazy or indifferent.

  465. Was like, no, no, do your point. Leave the outcome to God.

  466. If you're if you're secure in God's love, you don't have to

  467. win every argument. I have to prove to my wife I'm

  468. more intelligent than her. Already your wife has already

  469. given up, and don't worry about that.

  470. I have to prove that I am most martyred.

  471. I'm more intelligent, Relax, I don't need to.

  472. And if you have thought patterns and if you have habits of your

  473. thinking, now I'll tell you what, I'm not a drug addict, I'm

  474. not an alcoholic, I'm not this, I'm not that.

  475. I'm not addicted to that. Ray Baba, you're addicted to

  476. anxiety and fear and worry and anger.

  477. If we touch you, you'll get angry.

  478. If I don't touch you, you'll get angry.

  479. That's what bad wipes. And if you don't change that

  480. part of your thinking, enjoy intimacy with God.

  481. And that is why Paul says be transformed in the renewal of

  482. your OK. The third thing that will

  483. prevent you from enjoying intimacy with God is the

  484. darkness that has come because of disobedience in your life.

  485. Darkness that comes into your life.

  486. I can tell you how many times that God deeply loves you.

  487. But if you have habits, I'll tell you one thing.

  488. Every sin brings certain amount of darkness into your life.

  489. Like I'll tell you a classic example is pornography.

  490. OK, Pornography. Pornography brings darkness into

  491. your life so intensely that you become less than what you can

  492. be. I don't know.

  493. They told you this story. Will you tell you about a rabbi

  494. and a Jewish student who was writing and asking questions and

  495. no, no, OK, there was this rabbi who was teaching, and there was

  496. a student who was writing something but also asking

  497. questions to the rabbi, and he was writing something else.

  498. And he's asking questions and the rabbi's answering him and

  499. all of that, and it's going on and on.

  500. The rabbi came around and he saw this guy who was asking the

  501. question. He was writing something else.

  502. Hey fella, I am trying to answer all your questions.

  503. Then you are writing something else, man, I thought you are

  504. taking notes and he said no Sir, but I said I am doing something

  505. else. I am writing.

  506. But I was asking the right question.

  507. I was responding to you right? Yes.

  508. How do you do that? Then he said, OK, you give me a

  509. vague number, any number with 30 digits in it and I will, I will

  510. look at it and I'll I'll be able to tell you the exact number.

  511. Then the rabbi thought. And then he said 30, there must

  512. be some trick in 30, why not 34 is it?

  513. And the students said 34 will be little more difficult, but go

  514. ahead. So the rabbi actually recited a

  515. random 34 digit number 223478677 and said the rabbi wrote it in

  516. his piece of paper and he kept it.

  517. And then the student said do you want me to recite?

  518. Then he closed eyes for a minute and do you want me to recite it

  519. backward or forward? Backward or forward?

  520. Said backward 346782000834 exactly.

  521. Then he said forward, forward correctly.

  522. OK. After one week, the rabbi went

  523. out to a restaurant and this student was sitting there in the

  524. same restaurant. And as soon as the student, the

  525. rabbi met. The student said, so you want

  526. that number, right? He said, yeah.

  527. And the rabbi pulled it from his coat pocket and he had it in

  528. front. And then he said, do you want

  529. forward or backwards? He said forward exactly correct.

  530. Now the rabbi was bowled over and then he said this, Sir, my

  531. memory was little much better than this one.

  532. I got into drugs and alcohol. It destroyed my memory.

  533. Can you imagine what can happen if you stay away from sin and

  534. you have holy habits and all darkness expulse from your soul

  535. and you're filled with the love of God?

  536. You will become dynamic. That's what you're meant for.

  537. The fourth one that can disturb us and not enjoy the intimacy of

  538. God. And with this I will close.

  539. And is your ego and pride, your evil and pride?

  540. OK, let's talk about marriage. OK.

  541. And how many of you are here but not married but want to get

  542. married? Everybody married, OK, OK, I

  543. don't think that. OK, How many of you are married?

  544. And here I don't think ever told you about marriage this way.

  545. Before marriage, before marriage.

  546. If somebody told you this, I don't think would have got

  547. married at all. Pennsylvania.

  548. After marriage, you lose all freedom Parvalia Before

  549. marriage, can I? I can go wherever I want.

  550. I can spend the money I want, I can eat whatever I want to eat,

  551. I can sleep whenever I want to sleep.

  552. I can see any program anytime I want to see, and I can wear any

  553. dress I want to wear. I can do anything.

  554. OK, that's why in the Jewish system marriage experience is a

  555. born again experience. You have to be born again before

  556. marriage. I was like this only before

  557. marriage. You want my mother, you want my

  558. sister. But you got married, man, Be the

  559. sister. Because marriage means change.

  560. Marriage means submission. Marriage means submission and

  561. love to each other. Marriage is an invitation and

  562. say Vanga, marriage means marriage means that I'm going to

  563. live with you listening, hearing, changing, taking advice

  564. and counsel. Nobody told that about marriage,

  565. did they? Coming to Jesus is also that

  566. way. And if I don't want to submit,

  567. if I don't want to give up my ego and prayed.

  568. If I don't want to live my life into God's hand and I go for

  569. these meetings and I get questions asked.

  570. And a few weeks ago I was in Goa, somebody asked me a

  571. question after the meeting, a young fellow, he called me.

  572. He said I didn't want to ask the question in front of everybody,

  573. but I want to ask you one question, Very interesting

  574. question, pastor. Is it true?

  575. Is it correct? God gives you our own will.

  576. God gives your own will. And say do my will.

  577. God gives you a free will and says here after you do my will,

  578. OK, leave me alone man. Welcome to marriage, welcome to

  579. real life. And you know why he says that?

  580. So they asked. He asked me what is this bastard

  581. not fair at all? He gives me a free will and then

  582. says you do my will. So I'm stuck.

  583. It's the first time somebody asked me that question.

  584. And then I said this. And whenever a person asked a

  585. question like that, I said, God, you need to give me wisdom.

  586. And I said something like this. He tells you to do his will

  587. because that's the best thing for you.

  588. He tells you not to be anxious because that's the best thing

  589. for you. He tells you to forgive and

  590. bless everyone. That's the best thing for you,

  591. he says. Love and enjoy and receive love.

  592. That's the best thing for you children.

  593. When you have, when you're still young, the best thing is to obey

  594. your parent. That's the best thing for you.

  595. If you are not willing to give up your ego and pride, you

  596. cannot enjoy intensity with God. Let me just close with this.

  597. All spiritual achievement. All spiritual achievement is a

  598. cooperation with God the Holy Spirit when I submit to him,

  599. submitting my ego and my pride and obeying him moment by

  600. moment. So I'll say that again, all

  601. spiritual growth, all transformation is accomplished.

  602. I'm using the word accomplished purposely there by the power of

  603. the Holy Spirit. Without this power we can do

  604. nothing but in submission of our ego and pride to listen to His

  605. voice and to obey Him. Then spiritual progress takes

  606. place. Christ's likeness is

  607. transformed. But if I stick to my ego and

  608. pride, nothing can happen. We are talking about land,

  609. season and what did the cross mean to us?

  610. It means Christ invites us and says, my son, my daughter, I

  611. died for you. Will you die and have abundant

  612. life? Will you obey me?

  613. Will you humble yourself and listen to my voice moment by

  614. moment and enjoy the resurrected life?

  615. The resurrected life, life that God calls us is possible when I

  616. submit and surrender to Him. We're going to take the

  617. communion. And what does communion say?

  618. Jesus says come, let's have fellowship.

  619. Now let's eat together, and as you break your bread and take

  620. the wine, it's in the Revelation 320.

  621. They'd come and they would Sup, and I will Sup with him.

  622. Listen to this very carefully. This communion is also the

  623. celebration of a communion intimacy continuously after the

  624. communion service. Also because he's still your

  625. best friend, he's still your best friend.

  626. So this is only a momentary celebration of that which can

  627. continue every day of all. Thanks for listening to this
