  1. We welcome you to the We Are Zion sermon podcast.

  2. We are a church based out of Chennai, India.

  3. We are thrilled that you tuned in today and hope that you will

  4. be refreshed, revived, and energized by what you hear.

  5. Our desire is that you will live life with a renewed sense of

  6. purpose that stems from a vibrant faith in Jesus.

  7. The year 2025 is 1 where we will be positioned by God to possess

  8. our promise. We continue our sermon series

  9. called A Recipe for Revival where we look at different

  10. instances in the Bible where God poured his spirit out on His

  11. people leading to reformation and restoration.

  12. We hope that through this series, God will fill you with

  13. the Holy fire so that you are blazing for Christ in a Dark

  14. World. High Church, it's such a joy and

  15. a privilege to bring God's Word to you.

  16. And even as we take some time, we're going to go into the 4th

  17. part of the series that we started called Recipes for

  18. Revival. And one of the things that we

  19. see in this entire series is that God wants to stir our

  20. hearts. He just doesn't want to stir it,

  21. but he wants to constantly keep stirring so that we won't rest

  22. somewhere where we are comfortable because nothing

  23. happens when we are comfortable. And that's the stirring that he

  24. wants. It's it's not one where he

  25. doesn't want us to rest. He wants us to be at rest.

  26. But the the stirring is so that we'll be always dependent on

  27. him. We'll always acknowledge him.

  28. We'll always move towards obedience for him.

  29. We'll always move to a place of understanding who he is.

  30. And so even right now, I just want to take walk you through

  31. some of the things we saw last week.

  32. We saw from the life of Deborah, of how she rose up even as we

  33. celebrated the women in our life, we believe and the mothers

  34. in our life, we just believe that God has great plans for

  35. them. And I pray that as we heard that

  36. we're not fighting an enemy who's armed, we're fighting an

  37. enemy who's disarmed. We also saw that we don't lead

  38. and go for the heart issues of the enemy.

  39. We really cut him off. And today, as we look into God's

  40. Word, we also see that this battle that you're fighting is a

  41. rigged battle. As we celebrated Easter, we know

  42. Jesus is the one who is the victor.

  43. We know Jesus is the one who crushed the head of the enemy

  44. when he died on the cross. We know Jesus is the one who

  45. reigns supreme. We know our future.

  46. We know how this will end. We're fighting a battle that's

  47. already won. And so today, with that in mind,

  48. I would ask us if we can dwell deeper into God's Word today.

  49. We're going to be looking at what it looks like to actually

  50. sustain A revival. And many times, you know, when

  51. we look into our lives, we see that revival happens.

  52. It's momentum, it's it, it gets built up.

  53. It's restricted to a place. But God saying today I've come

  54. into the world, I've come and saved.

  55. I'm here to save the entirety of mankind.

  56. You are called to take my word across to the nations.

  57. And as you do that, how will you create a place for revival to be

  58. sustained? And as we look into God's word,

  59. you're going to see, and I came across this one word as I was

  60. meditating and preparing. This one word struck to me meant

  61. what is our habitat? A lot of us today think a

  62. habitat is exclusively only meant for animals.

  63. You know, they need to have the right place where the water, the

  64. weather conditions, and then that is their natural habitat.

  65. So anytime you're talking about a creature that is waiting to

  66. it's going extinct, they use the word habitat a lot.

  67. But when I looked and I saw it is a place where organisms make

  68. it home. A habitat meets all the

  69. environmental conditions and Organism needs to survive.

  70. We know plants, they need a certain kind of habitat.

  71. Animals need a certain kind of habitat.

  72. We as Christ followers, what is our habitat?

  73. What is our habitat? There are three things that

  74. forms or constitutes a good habitat.

  75. The three main things are shelter, water, food, and space.

  76. Shelter, water, food, and space. A lot of us today are thinking,

  77. you know, if I can keep home, if I can make home my safe place.

  78. Yes, physically it will be safe, but spiritually it can be dry.

  79. And I want to ask you, wherever you are at, you can carry that

  80. habitat with you as long as you're connected to Jesus, as

  81. long as you're living according to what God's asking you to

  82. live, as long as you're willing to make it an everyday affair

  83. and not an occasional affair. You know, one of the things they

  84. use in marketing, especially with paper boat coming and all

  85. these other different things that they always take you back

  86. to the time when you enjoy this in your grandparents place in

  87. that house. And they want to relive that by

  88. creating the taste. But the truth is when we taste

  89. Jesus, we don't taste condemnation.

  90. When we taste Jesus, we don't taste death.

  91. When we taste Jesus, we don't taste rejection.

  92. Whether we taste acceptance, whether we take we, we are able

  93. to participate in repentance, whereas we're able to

  94. participate in forgiveness, We're able to participate in

  95. receiving true love. And this is what our habitat

  96. requires us to be. It's an everyday thing.

  97. Sinful nature and sin will trend to be the center and will make

  98. that home, will make that comfortable.

  99. And that's why today a lot of us have created a habitat of our

  100. addictions, have created a habitat of our comfort, and we

  101. are failing to allow Jesus in Jesus saying, can I come in?

  102. Our natural habitat is when our inner being is free and is In

  103. Sync with our makeup. It's when our inner being is

  104. free. Today, what is our inner being

  105. tied down to? Is it being tied down to guilt?

  106. Is it being tied down to shame? Is it being tied down to the

  107. works of the enemy? And I want to encourage you,

  108. Church, for far too long we've lived within the bounds of the

  109. enemy. We think that if he loosens the

  110. ropes, we are OK. But eventually there is a rope

  111. around. We need to set ourselves free,

  112. move from the space. And I pray that we will create a

  113. space where we'll allow God to reside in and work.

  114. He has to work. He has to reside.

  115. We will chew what is our food. We chew on His word every day.

  116. That becomes something that we consume because we cannot do

  117. that. We cannot live our lives without

  118. chewing on God's Word water. We participate in the living

  119. water wherever His Saints gather, wherever His people

  120. gather, the river of God is there and that's why we can

  121. participate in that water. Shelter is where we dwell in the

  122. shadow of the Almighty. We acknowledge Him as King and

  123. Lord over everything. So if he's King and Lord of all

  124. over my work, I abide under the shadow of his wings.

  125. That if he's Lord and King over my home, I abide that in my car,

  126. I abide that we are love. We get so comfortable being

  127. under the shelter of God, and so this eventually becomes our

  128. natural habitat. I want to take our references to

  129. 1 John chapter 2, verses 18. And this is what it says, dear

    1 John 2:18

  130. children, this is the last star. And as you have heard that the

  131. Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come.

  132. This is how we know it is the last star.

  133. They went out from us, but they do not really belong to us.

  134. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with

  135. us. But they're going showed that

  136. none of them belonged to us. But you have an anointing from

  137. the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.

  138. I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but

  139. because you do know it, and because you know lie comes from

  140. the truth. Who is the liar?

  141. It is whoever denies that Jesus is Christ, such a person as the

  142. Antichrist denying the Father and the Son.

  143. No one who denies the Son as the Father.

  144. Whoever acknowledges the Son as the Father, also, As for you,

  145. the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do

  146. not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you

  147. about all things, and as that anointing is real, not

  148. counterfeit, just as it has taught you, remain in him.

  149. And I want us to realize that when we are wanting to live in

  150. this natural habitat, we need to come to a realization that we

  151. are anointed. Anointed is not for a specific

  152. group of people, OK? They're anointed to do God's

  153. work. Now, anyone who's accepted Jesus

  154. Christ is anointed. The minute I come to that

  155. realization, anointing kicks at me.

  156. I'm anointed because suddenly the clutches of sin is not

  157. holding me. Suddenly I'm able to see with

  158. clarity who Jesus is. Suddenly Satan doesn't make

  159. sense anymore. Jesus starts making sense.

  160. Suddenly peace. Lessness is not where I dwell

  161. in, but peace is where I long for and I move towards.

  162. And so suddenly I live in the anointing that is given to me

  163. because I believe in Jesus Christ, because I believe in the

  164. Triune God, because I believe that Father sent his Son,

  165. because He loved the world so much that he died and He

  166. promised that He will send and help.

  167. And the Holy Spirit is here today helping with us.

  168. When I come to that realization, it's that anointing which causes

  169. me to go back to that habitat of allowing Jesus into my space, of

  170. allowing to meditate on His. This word which becomes my food,

  171. this water becomes my sustenance for every year because I'm

  172. longing for that living water. And I move to enjoy the shelter

  173. that I have with the Almighty and that teaches us every day as

  174. long as I remain in Him. And so today, church, I want to

  175. ask you, are you willing to be anointed again?

  176. Because the Holy Spirit wants to move for us to see a revival.

  177. Without us acknowledging the anointing, we won't be able to

  178. participate in the revival. Without us acknowledging the

  179. anointing, we won't be able to participate in the revival.

  180. The Greek word that is used here for anointing is charisma.

  181. The root word is Creole, which means to consecrate.

  182. And so today, as much as you might not utter it with your

  183. voice, the minute you say and say Jesus Christ is the Lord

  184. over my life, you are being anointed to be set apart.

  185. The enemy marks you out saying I'll attack you.

  186. The enemy marks you out saying I'm going to pull you down.

  187. The enemy marks you out saying I'm going to defile you and say

  188. this is who you are. This is what you've committed.

  189. But will you rise up so that he will be nullified, so that Jesus

  190. will take center in your life? Today we see how God raised a

  191. person from the Old Testament called Jehu.

  192. Jehu was just another person walking in the Kingdom of Israel

  193. who was working under the king, and he was one of the warriors

  194. out there. But as he was met by the

  195. prophet, Elisha sent one of his prophets out to go and anoint

  196. him as king. Things changed.

  197. It was the anointing that caused him to do certain things.

  198. And today I want us to reflect on that and I want us to move to

  199. a place of seeing what did Jesus really ask us to do?

  200. Because you and me today are living in this world.

  201. We are anointed, but we're also called to accomplish certain

  202. things. What is it that his anointing is

  203. causing us to do? When we see from the life of

  204. Jehu, Jehu was chosen specifically by God to wipe out

  205. Ahab. Why?

  206. Because Jezebel had kept a hand on God's chosen prophets.

  207. She had put to death many prophets who stood for the name

  208. of the God of Israel. And so I would ask each and

  209. everyone, if you, for those of you who are fighting battles

  210. where you are innocent and where the enemies having the upper

  211. hand rest in the shelter of the Almighty, let him fight your

  212. battles. If there's one thing me and my

  213. wife can tell you in the last 4-5 years is you've seen God

  214. fight our battles. We've seen God, you know,

  215. confuse the enemy. We've seen God, you know, move

  216. the enemy's mouth to blabber and tell all truth.

  217. Because when the Holy Spirit moves and fights, everything is

  218. revealed because in Him is light.

  219. And when the light shines, there's no darkness.

  220. And so you will visibly see who the enemy is.

  221. And so I love God to fight your battles for you.

  222. I love God to fight your battles for you and I pray that we won't

  223. take this anointing slightly. A lot of us are waiting.

  224. You know what? I need to be anointed by that

  225. person. You know Jesus came to this

  226. world. He died for us once and not for

  227. all. The deed is done.

  228. If you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, if you declare it

  229. with your mouth and believe it with your heart, you are

  230. anointed. You are anointed.

  231. You automatically are being set apart.

  232. As I said earlier and today, that anointing sets us to do

  233. greater things like what Jehu did, and even as we learn from

  234. his life, I pray that we'll be able to live it out to its

  235. fullest. The first thing that we learn

  236. from Jehu's life is we anointed to fulfill God's Word.

  237. Jehu had a specific anointing over his life to fulfill God's

  238. Word. What was God's word?

  239. God has spoken 20 years back to Elijah that he will do certain

  240. things to Ahab. He also said that his sons will

  241. be, you know, killed in the field which he had stolen.

  242. Jezebel's body will be completely eaten by dogs and

  243. only certain the bones alone will remain.

  244. We see that God used Jehu to fulfil God's word as as graphic

  245. it is, as you know, as unpalatable it is.

  246. This is the God of justice. God raises his people up.

  247. He anoints us to do certain works.

  248. And so today, if we see people who are doing certain works in

  249. society, who are doing it because they love Jesus, because

  250. they are anointed for it, they have found out what God's called

  251. him. That's why for us, as much as we

  252. find a purpose here on this earth, we also need to find a

  253. purpose why God's created us, because each and every one of us

  254. have a unique call that God's placed over us, our lives.

  255. Let's read from 2 Kings Chapter 9 verses 6 to 10.

    2 Kings 9:6–10

  256. This is what it says. Jehu got up and went into the

  257. house. Then the prophet poured the oil

  258. on Jehu's head and declared, this is what the Lord, the God

  259. of Israel says. I anoint you king, O the Lord's

  260. people, Israel, you are to destroy the House of Ahab your

  261. master, and I will avenge the blood of my servants, the

  262. prophets, and the blood of all the Lord's servants shed by

  263. Jezebel. The whole House of Ahab will

  264. perish. I will cut off from Ahab every

  265. last male in Israel, slave of free.

  266. I will make the House of Ahab like the House of Jeroboam son

  267. of Nabat, and like the House of Basha son of Ahijah.

  268. As for Jezebel, dogs will devour her on the plot of ground at

  269. Jezreel, and no one will bury her.

  270. Then he opened the door and ran. Then he opened the door and dry.

  271. And so I want to ask you today, for those of you who are

  272. seasoned Christians who've been reading God's Word, who have

  273. been, who've been meditating on it, and yet who are staying

  274. confused, I pray and ask that you would open your eyes to see

  275. what God's anointed you for to fulfill.

  276. You cannot fulfill God's anointing from a place of

  277. comfort. You cannot fulfill.

  278. You. See, his immediate response was

  279. to open the door and run. He received it and he went.

  280. Today you are anointed. What are you anointed and called

  281. to do? What have you been waiting

  282. saying? God, for a lot of us, we've we

  283. failed to take the very responsibility that God's called

  284. us and some of us are giving up on our marriages.

  285. We have not risen up in our roles as husbands in our roles

  286. as wise we are, we are we are failing in that.

  287. God's asking. I've anointed you for that going

  288. to why don't you take that up for those of you who are giving

  289. up on being parents. Your pursuits of your heart are

  290. far bigger than what it is to be right now.

  291. God saying I've put you with children do what's enjoy the

  292. responsibility and anointing that is needed.

  293. We need anointing and grace for everything today.

  294. You and I cannot function just with the partial anointing here

  295. and that I can't function today with the partial anointing of

  296. being a partial husband, a partial father and a past

  297. partial leader. No, I have to walk in the

  298. fullness of his anointing because there's an overflow.

  299. There's an interconnected thing that happens.

  300. If you see how these wheat or even gasoline storages are

  301. happening, petroleum, diesel, and all that happens is they

  302. have these huge reservoirs and there's this.

  303. They are all interconnected. And so at one point there'll be

  304. one point of entry and they can fill all the three at the same

  305. time or they can choose what to fill at that time.

  306. And I believe that's where God's calling us to be anointed.

  307. A lot of us are lacking anointing specific area.

  308. Take a step back and say God work in this area.

  309. I'm sorry I'm over controlling this area and what we see here

  310. in Jehu's life is he found his ultimate purpose that God had

  311. called him to do. He was a warrior.

  312. God said rise up when you read through the entire story you see

  313. that is his characteristics stands out as who he is.

  314. This anointing that happens in US in the according to the New

  315. Testament, helps us identify between the truth and the false,

  316. helps us identify between what is right and what is wrong.

  317. When we live out of our anointing, we're living in a

  318. heightened sense. It is a verb which causes us to

  319. do something. Charisma causes motion in us,

  320. which causes us to move. Take the next step.

  321. We no longer just are people who respond, but because we have

  322. anointed, because we realize we're anointed, we respond to

  323. the call and we take a step forward.

  324. James one verse 22 says do not merely listen to the word and so

  325. deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

  326. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is

  327. like someone who looks at the face, at his face in a mirror

  328. and after looking at himself, goes away and immediately

  329. forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into

  330. the perfect Lord that gives freedom and continues in it, not

  331. forgetting what they have heard, but doing it, they will be

  332. blessed in what they do. Anointing causes me to step out.

  333. Why does anointing causes me to step out?

  334. Because you're not stepping out out of your own strength.

  335. You're stepping out of the strength that God's given you.

  336. And so even as I mentioned that time that we should operate out

  337. of a place where we are anointed across all our sections, across

  338. all our sections, there's there's this beautiful way God

  339. brings about expansion in everything that we do.

  340. Yeah, last week we heard about 10 pigs.

  341. And one of the things I've been realizing is when we take the 10

  342. pigs and when we put it, when we say, glor, enlarge our tent, he

  343. allows us to go fix those 10 pigs ourselves.

  344. He causes us to take ownership about the enlargement that he's

  345. giving. What does enlargement mean?

  346. Enlargement means dependency. And so today, if you're being

  347. anointed to do God's work, you're like Geshum.

  348. I have so many things on my plate.

  349. It is God who's anointing you. Geshum is not anointing you.

  350. It's not man who's anointing. It's God.

  351. God knows best. God knows how much you can

  352. handle. If God wants to increase your

  353. endurance to do his work, He will enlarge you.

  354. If God wants to increase your capacity to do far bigger things

  355. than what you've imagined, according to Ephesians 320, He

  356. will enlarge you, put your 10 pegs, and live out the calling

  357. that God's called you to do. A lot of us are failing to live

  358. out what God's called us to do. We're living out other people's

  359. things. We're living out others other

  360. people's lives and living out other people's imaginations and

  361. things that they are telling. Live out what God's asking you

  362. to live out, because today we have to live that.

  363. What does that live out? We be faithful in the little he

  364. gives us more, we be faithful in that and he gives us more and we

  365. see that in that. I also get a revelation of what

  366. his Kingdom looks like. It's no longer my Kingdom.

  367. Anything that I do the, the, the marriage that give that God's

  368. given is purely what God's given.

  369. You know, yesterday me and Tina were off for a shoot.

  370. And as we are coming back, we have to go to the other part of

  371. the city. And as we are coming back in

  372. Vatapani, this is Vatapani is in other locality in.

  373. In Chennai, that's pretty much the whole filming community.

  374. In fact, a lot of the movie studios are all there.

  375. And as you're coming there, there's this one particular mess

  376. called Kumar Mess. And as we were just crossing

  377. that, I, I was reminded the day I discharged, we discharged Tina

  378. from the hospital after her treatment for the brain

  379. aneurysm. We had to have lunch and she had

  380. to take her medicine. And so we stopped there at Kumar

  381. Mess and we walk in there and you know me, you know, I was

  382. just belting it. It's meals and you know, you

  383. just enjoy it. Tina just got scared looking at

  384. the way people are eating around her.

  385. You know, she just got scared and she she was just this

  386. overwhelmed, I think emotionally as she was walking through.

  387. But I was just realizing that those those those markers that

  388. are placed as you're passing. We were just recollected that

  389. and as we were driving, I was just reminded how far God's

  390. brought us seven years, what God's brought us seven years,

  391. what God's done. The anointing causes you to look

  392. back to give thanks. You see, God's fulfilled what he

  393. who has kept you. And so today, if you're

  394. fulfilling anything in your life because of the anointing and all

  395. the glory goes to God, you and I can't take credit.

  396. You and I can't take credit for our kids.

  397. You and I can't take credit for the family and the extended

  398. family. You and I can't take credit for

  399. our generation. It is the Lord because so we

  400. pursued the Lord, and the Lord was with us in everything that

  401. we did. So I pray that we will move in

  402. the anointing to fulfill and do all that God's called us to do.

  403. That you would rise up. If you've been doubting all

  404. along, you would rise up. The second thing, you're

  405. anointed to be ruthless with the enemy.

  406. You're anointed to be ruthless with the enemy.

  407. One of the things Jehu realized God has raised him was to put an

  408. end to the rule that God had placed there.

  409. He rose up in courage and in strength.

  410. He took up. In fact, if you look, there are

  411. four or five things that he's taken up and he's dealt with

  412. meticulously. And I want us to concentrate on

  413. that because many a times I want you and I to realize that this

  414. anointing that comes is a journey in itself.

  415. We move from one. It might feel from a battle to a

  416. battle, but that's where God's grace is.

  417. That's where God's strength is. That's where God's purposes lies

  418. for our life. The first thing we see is God

  419. asks Him to put Joram, King of Israel to death and we see her

  420. in 2 Kings Chapter 9 verses 20 to 22.

    2 Kings 9:20–22

  421. This is where where he's heading towards them.

  422. The King of Israel and the king of Judah both are meeting.

  423. In fact, our alliances also matter.

  424. Even as I mentioned this, it's very important every time we

  425. align with those who are evil. Every time we need to be very

  426. clear. When we are anointed, our

  427. associations matter. When we are anointed, who we

  428. allow into our inner courts matter.

  429. When we are anointed, we need to know who is seated at our table.

  430. Who is seated at our table? Let's read from 2 Kings Chapter

    2 Kings 9:20–22

  431. 9, verses 20 to 22. The lookout reported he has

  432. reached them, but he isn't coming back either.

  433. The driving is like that of Jehu's son of Nemeshi.

  434. He drives like a maniac. Hitch up my chariot, Joram

  435. ordered. And when it was hitched up,

  436. Joram, king of Vizir, and Haziah, king of Judah, rode out,

  437. each in his own chariot to meet Jehu.

  438. They met him at the plot of ground that belonged Nabat.

  439. The Jezreelite was 22 when Joram saw Jehu.

  440. He asked, Have you come in peace, Jehu?

  441. How can there be peace? Jehu replied, As long as all the

  442. idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound, What do

  443. we see here? We see here Jehu's going to the

  444. very place where God's word has to be fulfilled.

  445. He's standing in the vineyard which was snatched away by Ahab

  446. and Jezebel. Jezebel snatched it, killed the

  447. entire family of Naboth, and gave it to Ahab as a gift.

  448. And we see here, he's fulfilling the prophecy of Ahab's son's

  449. blood flowing and he pursues and he kills him right there and

  450. they throw him in that vineyard. God's word has been fulfilled.

  451. Today. I want to ask you, there is a

  452. recurring team that comes here. Are we so comfortable with the

  453. enemy that our anointing is of no worth when they're around?

  454. Our anointing should be so, so rich that when they are there,

  455. it shuts their mouth. When they are there, they're

  456. like, what is it that's causing them to have this peace?

  457. What is it that's causing them to have this joy?

  458. What is it that's causing them to have this comfort?

  459. How is it that they're able to see these things come through?

  460. We need to be anointed to be able to pull everything down

  461. face head on today. One of the things when we see we

  462. have to be ruthless with the enemy is to face them head on,

  463. face them head on. The second thing we see that as

  464. Jehovah faces Joram, he kills him.

  465. Then he also goes ahead and Hertz Ahaziah king of Judah.

  466. We read that in 2 Kings Chapter 9 verses 23 to 29 it says Joram

    2 Kings 9:23–29

  467. turned around and fled calling out Ahaziah treachery Ahaziah.

  468. Then Jehu drew his bow and shot Joram between the shoulders.

  469. The arrow pierced his heart and he slummed down in his chariot.

  470. And then we see when Ahaziah king of Judah saw that what has

  471. happened, he fled up the road to Beth Hagen.

  472. Jehu chased him, shouting kill him till they wounded him in his

  473. chariot on the way to go near Iblam.

  474. But he escaped to Megiddo and died.

  475. That his servants took him by charity to Jerusalem and buried

  476. him with his ancestors in his tomb in the city of David.

  477. In the 11th year of Joram, son of Ahaziah had become king of

  478. Judah. We see her.

  479. It just didn't stop with that. He finished Ahaziah, he finished

  480. Joram, and then he heads to the Queen Mother.

  481. He goes to take on Jezebel. And when he takes on Jezebel,

  482. this is where it's interesting. The enemy always, when he looks

  483. at the anointed, wants to handle things at peace, handle things

  484. at peace. You see here when Jordan comes,

  485. when Jehu is going to meet, Jordan says are you coming in

  486. peace? You'll see the same thing happen

  487. when he is meeting Jezebel. Let's read 2 Kings Chapter 9 was

    2 Kings 9 chapter mention

  488. 30 to 2030 onwards. It says when Jehu went to

  489. Jezreel, when Jezebel heard about it, she put on eye makeup,

  490. arranged her hair and looked out of a window.

  491. As Jehu entered the gate, she asked, Have you come in peace?

  492. You Zimri, you murderer of your master?

  493. He looked up at the window and called out.

  494. Who is on my side? Who?

  495. Two or three eunuchs looked down at him.

  496. Throw her down, Jehu said. So they threw her down, and some

  497. of her blood spattered the wall and the horses as they trampled

  498. her under foot. Jehu went in and ate and drank.

  499. Take care of that cursed woman, she said, and bury her, for she

  500. was a King's daughter. But when they went out to bury

  501. her, they found nothing except her skull, her feet and her

  502. hands. They went back and told Jehu,

  503. who said this is the word of the Lord, that he spoke through his

  504. servant Elijah the Tishbite on the plot on the ground of

  505. Jezebel. Dogs will devour Jezebel's

  506. flesh. Jezebel's body will be dunk on

  507. the ground the plot in Jezebel so that no one will be able to

  508. say this is Jezebel. So today when you meet the

  509. enemy, when you and I has this anointed meet, he will ask, are

  510. you coming at peace? How careful we must be because

  511. many a times we are trying to keep peace.

  512. And today when we say we have to keep peace, we don't have to

  513. keep peace with the enemy. God's asked us to.

  514. Blessed are the peacemakers with His people.

  515. What did Jesus he said Blessed are the peacemakers, for they

  516. will be called children of God. Don't make peace with the enemy,

  517. because whatever we make peace, there will be a season in which

  518. things will shift. He will trample us because we've

  519. made peace. We won't have room to move.

  520. So today, rise up, take the enemy, be ruthless, face them

  521. head on. We see when you continue on 2

    2 Kings 10:6–8

  522. Kings chapter 10, verses 6 to 8, we see He goes on to take on the

  523. entire lineage. He sends word to Samaria where

  524. all the King's sons are, the 70 sons.

  525. He sends word and he says, now that I'm sitting on the throne,

  526. whose side are you on? They decapitate all 70 heads of

  527. the children and they send them and they say we are on your side

  528. today. You and I have to be ruthless

  529. with the enemy. Why?

  530. Because we'll have times when we'll be seated with them.

  531. We'll be seated with them. We can't entertain them.

  532. We can't negotiate with them. We can't.

  533. For the sake of keeping peace, we can't say it.

  534. Let God deal with everything that has to be said.

  535. If it's according to His word that you're standing by, God

  536. will stand with you. If you're standing by your

  537. flesh, that's when you'll be having doubts.

  538. You'll have fear. You'll want to hold peace.

  539. I pray that we will stand according to what His Word says

  540. we'll be. People will be able to take that

  541. stand. In 2 Kings chapter 10 verse 17,

    2 Kings 10:17

  542. it says when Jehu came to Samaria, he killed all who were

  543. left there of Ahab's family. He destroyed them according to

  544. the word of the Lord spoken to Elijah.

  545. Interestingly, when we read from Psalm 23, a lot of us know it by

  546. heart in the passion it says even when your path takes me to

  547. the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me.

  548. For you already have. Your authority is my strength

  549. and my peace. The comfort of your love takes

  550. away my fear. I'll never be lonely, for you

  551. are near. And I pray that what Joram and

  552. Jezebel said, are you coming in peace because the enemy after

  553. everything that they do, they want you to come in peace.

  554. I pray we would rise up. Revival is not when we are

  555. making, when you're keeping peace.

  556. Revival is when we peacemakers go in the name of God and pull

  557. the enemy down. We pull the enemy down.

  558. We strike and crush the enemy under our feet.

  559. Satan has no room. Satan has no room.

  560. Every day we fight this battle, one day at a time.

  561. We ask Jesus to come. Whatever addiction is, we don't

  562. make room for him. We say, Lord, I've had enough.

  563. This is not who you've created to be anoint me again to stand

  564. against the enemy. Rise up, maybe come clean with

  565. God and confess and maybe live with the authority God's given.

  566. A lot of times we come clean with God and confess.

  567. We fail to come clean to the people that God's placed around

  568. us. And James, it's very clear, if

  569. you need healing, come to the elders of the church, confess,

  570. repent and ask for forgiveness and as they lay hands, you will

  571. be healed. Many a times we are so caught up

  572. in the fact that what will people think?

  573. God is the one who's important here, not people.

  574. We need to come to a place of realizing that God is the one

  575. who has to be glorified. I pray that we live out the

  576. gospel in boldness and be ruthless with the enemy.

  577. Romans chapter 8 verse 13 says, for if you are living according

    Romans 8:13

  578. to the impulses of the flesh, you're going to die, but if

  579. you're living by the power of the Holy Spirit, you are

  580. habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body.

  581. You will really live forever. You will really fall.

  582. Jehu was anointed for a specific task.

  583. We as Christ followers are anointed for the everyday.

  584. So today what you and I are putting are not putting to death

  585. something that is just occurring once in six years.

  586. Now we are putting to death everyday issues, my anger, my

  587. resentment, my underneath apathy for people, dislike and dislove

  588. for certain groups, for certain castes, for certain socio

  589. economic groups, everything we put together.

  590. They say, Lord this, if this is your purpose, I will get into

  591. loving it because you have loved me.

  592. We start realizing it. Let not the enemy have a seat at

  593. your table. Don't negotiate with him.

  594. Don't go there and talk peace. Be clear about your stand.

  595. Stand for what the Word of God asks you to take a stand on and

  596. see God come through. I believe God wants to disarm

  597. the Church of all the Jezebels. Lot of Jezebels have risen up

  598. and they're asking would you contend with peace?

  599. Honestly, you can't. You just have to be cut and

  600. right. If this is what the word of God

  601. says, if this is what I'm here to protect God, to have the

  602. courage to say what you have to say, give me the courage to say

  603. what your word is asking me to say.

  604. Give me a courage to live by what your word is asking me to

  605. stay. The third thing we see is

  606. anointed to continuous learning and abiding.

  607. We saw we are anointed there by the Holy Spirit to habitually

  608. put to death. Here.

  609. The same thing is we are anointed to continuous learning

  610. and living. What happens many a times when

  611. you're anointed? In this case, we suddenly become

  612. complacent. We see here what Jehu realized

  613. was just to get rid of 1 idolatry.

  614. He didn't want to get rid of every idolatry and that became a

  615. problem. We see the next thing that he

  616. started as he started killing Joram, Haziah, Jezebel and he

  617. killed the entire lineage of Ahab.

  618. He put to death anyone who followed Ahab.

  619. He killed so many people. Then we see he goes on to kill

  620. the Baal worshippers. 2 Kings chapter 10 verses 25 to 28.

    2 Kings 10:25–28

  621. As soon as Jehu had finished making the burnt offering, he

  622. ordered the guards and officers go in and kill them.

  623. Let no one escape. So they cut them down with

  624. sword. The guards and the officers

  625. threw the bodies out and then entered the inner shrine of the

  626. temple of Bal. They brought the sacred stone

  627. out of the temple of Bal and burnt it.

  628. They demolished the secret stone of Bal and tore down the temple

  629. of Bal and people and have used it for a Lantern for this day.

  630. So Jehu destroyed Bal worship in Israel.

  631. Jehu killed the worship of Pal but could not stop what Jeroboam

  632. had started. He could not stop what Jeroboam

  633. and said what did Jeroboam and start Jeroboam had started the

  634. worshipping of calf of calf in 2 Kings chapter 10 versus 29 to

    2 Kings 10 chapter mention

  635. 31. It says.

  636. However, he did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, son

  637. of Nabat, which he had caused Israel to commit.

  638. The worship of the golden calves and Bethel And Dan.

  639. The Lord said to Jehu, because you have done well in

  640. accomplishing what is right in my eyes, and I've done to to the

  641. House of Arab and I what all that I had in mind to do.

  642. Your descendants will sit on the throne of Israel up to the 4th

  643. generation. Yet Jehu was not careful to keep

  644. the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart.

  645. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam which he had

  646. caused Israel to commit. So this is where we learn.

  647. This is where we learn we need to receive the full assignment

  648. from God. God doesn't reveal it entirely

  649. as we complete one thing after that, after he completed Ahab's

  650. assignment and all that he had to do with Baal worshippers, he

  651. should have gone back to God and saying God, what else do you

  652. want me to do? God, what else do you want me to

  653. do? Our heart is deceitful.

  654. Our heart is deceitful. So this is where we can be

  655. anointed and yet not walk like how God's calling us to walk

  656. because more than the love for God in his law for getting out

  657. of for getting rid of Ahab, he had certain affections, a heart

  658. affections matter. He forgot who made him sit on

  659. the throne. He forgot to enquire what God

  660. wanted of him. And so today, when our response

  661. to revival is to welcome the King of Kings, the King of Kings

  662. has has requested us to move and fulfill his purpose one step at

  663. a time. We finish that, we go back.

  664. God, what are you calling me to do?

  665. God gives us Shalom, equips us and sends us for the next task.

  666. God is not a taskmaster here. He wants us to thrive.

  667. He wants us to build us up as generations.

  668. And so today, as much as God used Jehu to cleanse that

  669. bloodshed, he was man at the end of the day.

  670. In 2 Kings Chapter 9 verses 11 to 13, the minute he's anointed,

    2 Kings 9:11–13

  671. when he goes out and his friends see him, they all take his

  672. cloaks and they laid at the floor and they anoint him as

  673. king. They declare him, this is king

  674. of Israel, Jehu, king of Israel. But there's an interesting thing

  675. when we look at the New Testament, when someone walks

  676. into Jerusalem like that, riding on a donkey, they removed their

  677. cloaks and put and said, this is the Messiah in Jehu's life.

  678. He saved them from the tyranny of Ahab and Jezebel and all the

  679. Baal wash. Here Jesus walked into Jerusalem

  680. and saved the entirety of mankind.

  681. You and I are redeemed today. So what is it that God wants us

  682. to do? What is it that God wants us to

  683. do? How were we anointed to carry

  684. this revival? How are we anointed?

  685. We are anointed, but how do we make revival a daily occurrence

  686. in our lives? How do we stay revived every

  687. step of the way? We welcome this new King, the

  688. real Messiah into our lives. Jesus wants us to live revived

  689. life so that we can stand up to the Jezebels of our times, the

  690. Jezebels of our times. You know, this couple of months

  691. back during our open heavens, we started praying specifically

  692. against spiritual forces. We prayed against spirit of

  693. Jezebel. The spirit of Jezebel is not a

  694. gender specific spirit. It can be both either a man or a

  695. woman. And we started seeing

  696. manifestations of this and the beauty that I have seen in my

  697. life and the reason why I'm, even as I'm speaking the sermon,

  698. I realize is I had to confront these spirits, these these

  699. manifestations head on, head on. Have you left me?

  700. If you know me personally, you'll know that I can avoid all

  701. of these things. I can, you can just go in the

  702. grey and, you know, be OK with it.

  703. But God didn't allow me because I believe that's what revival

  704. does. That's what God brings in, a

  705. strong conviction in your heart of what you're called to do.

  706. And today I believe he's raising up us as a church to stand up to

  707. this spirit of Jezebel that is mentioned in the last days.

  708. We'll read about it in Revelation in some time.

  709. And even before we read about it, I wanted to go back and

  710. think about God. What is it that you're calling

  711. us to do today as we think about this sermon, Lord Jesus, as we

  712. think about how Jehu lived and what he missed out, how can I

  713. live out in the fullness that you're calling me?

  714. You know, there's this particular verse in Deuteronomy

  715. which Moses writes. Moses wrote the first five books

  716. of the Bible, and I believe what he saw up there in the mountains

  717. was just a glorious videotape of God showing it to him entirely

  718. that he put it down. Genesis, Exodus, Numbers,

  719. Leviticus, Deuteronomy. And as we see that in

  720. Deuteronomy, he mentions one thing, and it's interesting that

  721. scribes, those who write what God's telling them are

  722. prophetic. They write into the future.

  723. They write about how we need to deal things in the future.

  724. So all those of you who are listening to God, who've been

  725. writing, who've been putting things down, I pray you would

  726. value the anointing God has created and called you for.

  727. It says here in Deuteronomy chapter 17, verses 14 to 20.

    Deuteronomy 17:14–20

  728. When you come to the land that the Lord your God is giving you,

  729. and you possess it and dwell in it, and they say, I will set a

  730. king over me, like all the nations that are around me, you

  731. may indeed set a king over you, whom the Lord your God will

  732. choose one from among your brothers, who you shall set as

  733. king over you. You shall not put a foreigner

  734. over you who is not your brother.

  735. Only he must not acquire many horses for himself, or cause the

  736. people to return to Egypt in order to acquire many his

  737. horses. Since the Lord has said you, you

  738. shall never return that way again.

  739. And he should not acquire many wives for himself, lest his

  740. heart turn away. Nor shall he acquire for himself

  741. excessive silver and gold. And when he sits on the throne

  742. of his Kingdom, he shall write for himself in a book a copy of

  743. this law approved by the Levitical priest, and it shall

  744. be with him, and he shall read it in it all the days of his

  745. life. And that he may learn to fear

  746. the Lord his God by keeping all the words of his law and these

  747. statutes and doing them, that his heart may not be lifted up

  748. above his brothers, that he may not turn aside from the

  749. commandment either to the right or to the left, that he may

  750. continue long in his Kingdom, he and his children in Israel.

  751. What we see here is God gave clear instructions to Moses to

  752. write if they appoint him as king.

  753. He told them specifically don't get horses.

  754. Horses were bred in Egypt. They were beautiful to look at.

  755. We see Solomon acquiring a lot of horses from Egypt.

  756. When you read God's Word, we see Him acquiring a lot of wealth.

  757. It came time and again, but we see over the period of time,

  758. wealth is what caused all the kings of Israel to really

  759. dissuade and discount God. We see wives coming and we see

  760. from Saul, we see from David. It just gets magnified as it

  761. goes. Solomon was at its peak.

  762. They moved them away. The one lesson that was told to

  763. them was to write the law of the Lord.

  764. They were asked to write on it, meditate on it, and learn.

  765. He the king was supposed to write, and so that when you

  766. write and committed to writing, you learn.

  767. None of them did it. From Saul till the end of King

  768. of Israel, we see none of them did it.

  769. They never took God's word seriously.

  770. And I believe if you and I today have to live in this anointing,

  771. and if you have to face the enemy, if you have to be

  772. ruthless with the enemy, if you have to live out what God's Word

  773. says, we need to know God's Word.

  774. Otherwise, the enemy will come and say, come in peace with me

  775. because I'm coming to you in peace.

  776. We should know where we stand in God's Word, and I pray that our

  777. hearts will be open to see God through that.

  778. In Revelation chapter 2, verse 20, this is what it says.

    Revelation 2:20

  779. Nevertheless, I have this against you.

  780. You tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet.

  781. By her teaching, she misleads my servants into sexual immortality

  782. and the eating of food sacrificed to idols.

  783. I wanted to read specifically from message and this is what it

  784. says. But why do you let that Jezebel

  785. who calls herself a prophet, mislead my dear servants into

  786. cross denying self indulge religion?

  787. I gave her a chance to change her ways but she has no

  788. intention of giving up a career in the God business.

  789. I'm about to lay her low along with her partners as they play

  790. their sex and religion games. The bastard offspring of their

  791. idol Horning. I'll kill them.

  792. Then every church will know that appearances don't impress me.

  793. I X-ray every motive and make sure you get what's coming to

  794. you. And that last two lines.

  795. Then every church will know that appearances don't impress me.

  796. I X-ray every motive and make you get what's coming to you.

  797. Jehu was called to cleanse the land of Baal worship.

  798. Yes. Was called to cleanse of Ahab,

  799. Yes. Not specifically of Baal.

  800. He was God. If he had enquired, God would

  801. have asked him to remove every idol.

  802. He would have asked him to pull down every stronghold.

  803. What Jehu did was God used him to bring to serve justice.

  804. But Jehu didn't give his heart fully.

  805. Today you and I are called to live in this anointing which

  806. Jesus has called us that we should be cross denying.

  807. We that we won't be cross denying.

  808. We won't be self indulging religion.

  809. What is self indulging? Lord?

  810. I'll come to church. I'll just do what is required so

  811. that it satisfies me. I will come to this church

  812. because the air conditioner is good.

  813. I'll come to this church because they give me good snacks.

  814. I'll come to this church because people are saying what I like to

  815. hear. Be where God wants you to be

  816. because God will cause us to be anointed where we take a stand.

  817. The Holy Spirit will work in our lives where we'll be habitually

  818. be able to put to death things that the enemy is throwing at

  819. us. Our teaching of the Word to

  820. ourselves personally should be strong.

  821. If it's not strong to ourselves, we won't be able to stand

  822. strong. We will be making alliances with

  823. the enemy. I want to read Psalm 23 verse 5.

    Psalms 23:5

  824. It says you prepare a table before me in the presence of my

  825. enemies. You anoint my head with oil, My

  826. cup runs over. If you are not willing to know

  827. God's word, you will be making peace with the enemy, and God

  828. cannot anoint your head. One of the beautiful things

  829. about anointing the head when the shepherd does that to a

  830. sheep is to make sure things don't go into the ear.

  831. The seeds of the enemy don't go into the earth.

  832. When flies and other things go into the sheep, what happens the

  833. IT makes them go crazy. Their head hit their head

  834. against hard surfaces and they cause injury.

  835. He anoints our head so that we don't head butt with other sheep

  836. and break our skulls. We learn to live in unity.

  837. He anoints our head in the presence of our enemies so we

  838. know our enemy. We are not at peace with our

  839. enemy. When he says here you prepare a

  840. table for me in the presence of my enemies, you are able to

  841. encounter the enemy, Call it at his name, call him and pull him

  842. down. And I pray we'll be able to

  843. create a habitat first within ourselves, within our families,

  844. and it extends to the larger community.

  845. In Psalm chapter 23, verse 5, in passion, it says you become a

    Psalms 23:5

  846. delicious feast. Even when my enemies dare to

  847. fight, you anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit.

  848. And so church today, I believe you're anointed to fulfill God's

  849. word. We are anointed to be ruthless

  850. with the enemy. We are anointed to be continuous

  851. learning and abiding. A learning should be continuous.

  852. A learning should be continuous. Abiding should be continuous.

  853. And I pray as we're living in this, as we're living in this

  854. anointed phase of our lives, we live strong.

  855. We will live purposefully. We will be clear with what God's

  856. called us to do. Can I just pray and ask that

  857. God's anointing rest over you in the season, that He'll keep you

  858. safe, He'll keep you strong. Lord.

  859. I just thank you, Lord, for this time.

  860. Thank you, Lord, for all that you've been doing.

  861. Lord Jesus, we thank you, Lord, for your grace, for your

  862. strength that's been over our lives.

  863. I pray even as we heard your word.

  864. Lord, I pray we won't just blindly just do your work for a

  865. season. Lord, many of us have been like

  866. Jehovah, we've just accomplished 1 feat and we've thought we've

  867. done great. But God, you're calling us to a

  868. lifelong journey, Lord Jesus, and I pray we will live in that

  869. lifelong journey. Lord Jesus, I pray we will abide

  870. in your truth. Lord you to ask kings to write.

  871. I pray we will not take your word lightly.

  872. We won't just be content with a little.

  873. We will give. We will learn of much.

  874. Lord Jesus, we thank you. Go before us, be with us.

  875. Thank you for all that you're calling us to do.

  876. Lord Jesus, I believe you are calling us, Lord Jesus, to face

  877. the enemy head on. Lord Jesus, to be ruthless with

  878. the enemy. I pray we will learn from your

  879. word. We will be able to put it into

  880. practice. We will be constantly abiding in

  881. you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord.

  882. I pray even right now you would anoint our heads, Lord.

  883. Anything that's already entered, Lord, into our noses, into our

  884. very breath, into our very hearing.

  885. I pray you will cleanse it out, Lord Jesus, our minds will be

  886. set free. Your anointing will be so rich

  887. that it will break every yoke of the enemy.

  888. Go before us, take charge, strengthen us, Lord Jesus.

  889. Be with us Lord, we ask that we will be glorified.

  890. You will be honored in your most holy name we pray, Amen.

  891. Amen. I pray that as you step out this

  892. week, God will be with you, that you won't just go alone, you'd

  893. go anointed. You would receive His word.

  894. I pray you will have a deep relationship with God through

  895. His word. You would have a deep

  896. relationship with God through prayer.

  897. You would have a deep relationship God through

  898. worship. Acknowledge him in any season

  899. that you're in and lift your hands and surrender to say,

  900. Jesus, you are King. You are Lord over me.

  901. Lord Jesus, go with strength and every step of the way.

  902. Take courage in everything that God's calling you to so that

  903. you'll be glorified in the days to come to fight the battles

  904. God's called you to fight in boldness.

  905. Be ruthless with the enemy. Don't give him do when he says

  906. come, are you coming in peace? Tell him, I'm coming with the

  907. word of God, with the word of God, because he will run.

  908. He will shudder, go in the name of Jesus.

  909. Let's be conquerors today in his Kingdom.

  910. So we will see a revival not just in our lives, not just in

  911. our homes, but in our cities and in our nation.

  912. I pray you have a blessed week. God bless you.
