278 ~ REAPING WHAT WE SOW ~ SEASONS OF HARVEST - PART 1

We welcome you to the We Are Zion sermon podcast.

We are a church based out of Chennai, India.

We are thrilled that you tuned in today and hope that you will

be refreshed, revived, and energized by what you hear.

Our desire is that you will live life with a renewed sense of

purpose that stems from a vibrant faith in Jesus.

The year 2025 is 1 where we will be positioned by God to possess

our promise. We are celebrating all that God

has done and has promised to do over the next few weeks.

Every word that God has spoken will come to pass.

Everything that you have sown into will begin to reap its

fruit. The harvest is here and it's

plentiful. Can we lean into the Lord of the

harvest and hear what He has to say to us?

Hi Judge. It's such a joy and a privilege

to be able to bring God's Word to you today.

And even as we take some time to meditate on God's Word, I

believe He wants to speak to us even as we've just finished an

entire series. We are heading towards a Harvest

Sunday that's two weeks from now.

And as you were just discussing what we'll talk, we just thought

we'll spend some time in the next two weeks to talk what a

season of harvest looks like. And so the next two weeks we'll

be looking at what is the season of harvest.

I believe a lot of us have been doing great things for God over

the years. But as we've been walking

through this Christian life, a lot of times we feel we're still

on barren ground. We still, we feel like we're

still toiling on ground that's not yielding its fruit.

And I believe this is where God wants us to rethink and look to

what he has to save from his word.

So even as we take some time to look into his word, I pray that

as I speak, God's word will come alive in US.

It will come alive into our own very being, that it will start

bearing fruit in due season so that we'll be a blessing to

where God has placed us to be. Even as we look into this entire

season of harvest, I believe one of the things we can always

account for is God is the originator of everything.

You know, he spoke creation into existence.

He spoke and everything came alive.

And so when God speaks, there is life and we many a times, you

know, I always look back and I think I would want to rather be

on God's side and not against God.

And whatever God's willing to give, I'm OK with that because I

believe everything that He gives has life.

And so there will be something good coming out of everything

that we are going through. God did not spare anything.

In fact, when you read through all of creation, you see

everything is so detailed. You go into every kind of

ecosystem, into the water, into the air, into the land, into the

plantations that we see, into the very terrain and the

functionality of how the earth is.

We see that God's hand was on everything.

In fact, when you read about His entire creation, even as you

read about His entire creation, we see one characteristic that

comes out very strongly in the six days of creation is His

generosity. And I saw I believe the season

of harvest that we are called to celebrate is 1 where we

celebrate God's generosity towards us and in turn we

evaluate within our own lives. Are we being this generous as

God has been When we look at his creation, we see his creation

overflows with generosity. Nothing was spared.

What does that mean? It means that he didn't even

from the very microorganisms, their way of survival, the way

they have to be. Everything was thought through.

He was generous. You know, when we off Lately

I've been watching this series which involves horses and when

you see them tending to the horses and giving care, and when

you see them running across terrain, you see the beauty in

which he's created. His salvation was generous.

And even when Manson he was generous.

When God sent Adam and Eve outside, he was he.

He had generosity. His love and care was so much

for us. And so when he sent his only

begotten Son into the world, that was generosity.

And so I believe His salvation was generous through His sons

submission. And so today we can also

experience more of this generosity of God if we submit

to His will. His eternity is generous to all

who accept His salvation. In fact, His eternity is

generous to all who accept Him. Gathering of those who've

responded to his call is one of being generalist.

He's not just having a few. He's not saying, you know, I'll

have a guest list. No, he's saying whoever calls on

me, who's acknowledged me with their lips, who believe with

their heart, who've confessed their sins, and who say Jesus

Christ is Lord is welcome to feast at the table.

So when we've accepted Jesus and we're trying to live out his

Kingdom here, we are carrying out this trait of generosity.

The reason why I'm spending so much time in this very

characteristic is the season of harvest is the the God who gives

us the seeds is generous. The God who allows us to be, you

know, to cast seed over the land, who wants us to be

generous. And it's in that toiling and

working we see Him showering His grace on us, and in due time

they're able to reap a bountiful harvest where we're all able to

experience the generosity God has over our lives.

Generosity just doesn't happen. Generosity just doesn't happen

like that. It costs something.

For someone to be generous means that they had done some hard

work, some hard work which is yielded and out of that they're

willing to share. And I believe being generous is

hard work, but we have to be generous.

It has a lot for us to do with willingness.

And I pray that we'll be willing today to be generous in his

Kingdom, Generous in the call that God's given upon our lives.

When you look at the meaning of generous, it means it's a you're

willing to give money, help, kindness, especially more than

an usual or expected form. It's something that is an

adjective given towards something that is that we're

doing. And so generous in His giving,

generous in his time, generous in His words, generous in His

actions. What are we generous today in

what God's called us to do? Our biggest example is Jesus.

Nothing about His time on earth was done grudgingly.

Everything was done so willingly and obedient in submission to

the Father. And the reason why I want us to

go through this is because there is a deep compassion God wants

us to have as His followers. When we are called to sow, when

we're called to experience a season of harvest, there's a

definite time for us to sow. There's a definite time for us

to do the hard work. There's a definite time for us

to reap. And so this all comes only when

we are moved with compassion to what God has called us to do.

Today. You and I are so caught up with

doing what the world expects of us, which is right.

We are called to work. We're called to earn.

We're called. But there's a deep spiritual

hunger for us to do what God's will is.

And I believe if we can come to a place of seeing where is God

causing me to have compassion, we will soon realize this is a

place that God is calling me to have and be here and do what

He's called me to do. Why am I saying that is because

when Jesus was walking here on this earth, he was moved with

compassion. He didn't just go to places

where he had a invitation list. His Carlos Phil know he was

there right where people are at, where the need was.

That and he was moved with compassion.

Reading from Matthew Chapter 9 onwards and this is what it says

Matthew 9 · chapter mention

from 35. Jesus went through all the towns

and villages teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good

news of the Kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they

were harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd.

Then he said to his disciples, the harvest is plentiful, but

the workers of you ask the Lord of the harvest therefore to send

out workers into his harvest field.

And the call for us today in 2025 church is the same thing.

But God is going to deposit his compassion over everyone of us.

You and I are going to have a unique compassion if God's

called me and Tina to do certain things here, this space.

And I also want to add on to that.

He's called individually for us to respond to a compassion

that's closer to our heart, not just collectively.

And so individually, what is God calling us to be compassionate

about? Because it's in that he's

saying, I'll call you as workers for the harvest.

A lot of us are just thinking, oh, is this a blanket statement?

No, it's a very unique calling, very unique calling.

What is it that He's called you? Because when he's called you,

when you find that out, you will soon realize when you get

married and when you're praying together, there's a combined

call for your life. That's what unity brings in.

That's when you'll realize I am also called to help and aid

others fulfill their calling, not just my own.

And so today I want to post this in front of you.

Jesus is asking. The harvest is plentiful, but

the workers of you, you ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore,

to send out workers into the harvest.

I want to say, church, we are living in a time and age when we

need to say yes to what God's calling us to do Say, God, how

can I respond to the compassion you've today?

What is it that's breaking your heart in prayer?

There are so many things that can break your heart.

Not having enough money can break your heart.

Not having a visa to stay in a country can break your heart.

Not having to you know be in in the city of Chennai can break

your heart. You know, it's interesting we

live in this particular stretch. As you look in the back of me,

we are right on Omar Rd. is lot of paying guests and lot of

young kids come here to work. You can see that they are not

happy where God's pleased them. You can see so many couples who

move from other cities over here who are happy.

We're not God has placed them, but God is asking how will I

deposit compassion when you're not content with the place that

you're in? A lot of you probably come here

and you're like, you know what? I know this is what God has

called me to do, but now I, I just think I need time for

myself. God saying rise up, rise up

today. You and I are called to be

workers on the field. His Word is what we are called

to sow His Word, His out working in US is what we've received, is

what we'll be able to sow into others.

And I pray that we'll be able to do that.

We're just going to go through an entire passage of Scripture,

and I believe This is why God's calling us.

His Word has to work in and through us.

So today in your quiet time, is His Word working in you?

During the times when you meditate on His Word, is His

Word working in you? Let's just meditate on this.

In Psalm 19 verses 7 to 14, it says I'm reading from the

Psalms 19:7–14

Passion. Translation is what it says.

Yahweh's Word is perfect in every way how it revives our

soul. Yahweh's laws lead us to truth

and His ways change the simple into voice.

Yahweh's teachings are right and make us joyful.

His precepts are so pure. Yahweh's commands challenge us

to keep close to His heart. The revelation light of His Word

makes my spirit shine radiant. Yahweh's decrees are

trustworthy, The fear of Yahweh's pure enduring forever.

The rarest treasures of life are found in His truth.

That's why God's Word is prized like others prize and finest

gold. Sweeter also than honey are His

living words, sweetest words dripping from the honeycomb.

For they warn us, Your servants, and keep us from following the

wicked way, giving a lifetime guarantee great success to every

obedient soul. How would I discern the

waywardness of my heart? Lord, forgive my hidden flaws

whenever you find them. Keep cleansing me, God, and keep

me from my secret selfish sins. May they never rule over me, for

only then will I be free from fault and remain innocent of

rebellion. So may the words of my mouth and

the meditation thoughts and every moment of my heart be

always pure and pleasing, acceptable before your eyes.

Yahweh, my only Redeemer, my protector.

The reason why I wanted to spend some time on this is His word is

all that we need. His word is revelation.

Light. It's just not light.

It's just not. Doesn't just show me pathways,

my eyes, but it's a revelation, which means when I read it, it

also helps me to understand what he's wanting me to do.

We don't walk aimlessly on a road, we walk with intention on

that road. We are like God, Why am I

walking here? What is it that you're calling

me to do? What are you calling me to say?

God, if you're calling me to keep good, I'll keep good and

I'll profess your word because your word has power, Your word

as life. God, if you're calling me to

speak your word over the situation, help me to speak it

and see what is happening. So today when you and I are

called, we are not called with a skill set.

We are called with the very word himself.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and

the Word was God. In Him was life.

He walked here on earth and the earth did not even know him.

And today, church, I want to ask you, will we walk with the Word,

not with the skill set, because skill set can be got.

You wait 10 years, there'll be an other AI bot that can do your

skill set. Skill set will not take you

there. Skill set will not take you

there. So I want to ask you today,

would you allow His word to permeate, to soak through a love

which says that in verse 14, the meditations of my heart be

acceptable to you, Lord, let the words of my mouth and the

meditations of my heart in passion.

It says the words of my mouth, my meditation thoughts, and

every movement of my heart be acceptable, pure and pleasing.

So I pray today that we will be able to carry His word into the

places where He's called us. Before we carry it, we need to

absorb it, else we'll just be people who are lifting and

giving. And God does not need robots

here to do that. He wants someone who'll take His

word, put it in Him. It works inside out, and from

this He wants to give. That's what when the Word of God

has to go through me, means what?

It goes through me, it changes me inside out, and then it goes

out so that it will deliver the intended message for a time such

as this. And so today in the season of

harvest, without compassion, we won't raise, we won't do the

call of God in our lives. We also need to know that

without His word, we will be ineffective.

It's no skill set that will carry us there.

It's His word and the absorption of His word, putting His word

into practice and living out, which will help us to be who He

has called us to be. So the sermon titled for today,

for this entire series that we're looking for the season of

harvest is reaping what we sow. And you're like, Geshom, this

it's a hard sum. And I'm like, yeah, it is really

hard. In fact, when I have to think of

Speaking of this, I'm like, God, why God me?

Because I know there are so many areas in my life that I have

still reaping some of the bad things I've sown, some of the

discontentment, selfishness that I've sown in certain areas.

But God's asking us, I want you all to course correct.

I want you all to do certain things so that you'll be able to

do live for my glory. Two Corinthians Chapter 9,

verses 69. This is a passage for today, and

this is what it says. Remember this, whoever so

sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever so

generously will also reap generously.

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart, not

reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver,

and God is able to bless you abundant, so that in all things,

at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in

every good work. As it is written.

They are freely scattered, their gifts to the poor, their

righteousness endures forever. Whoever so sparingly will also

reap sparingly. Whoever so generously will also

reap generously. When you look at the background

of this, Paul writes this to the Corinthian church to remind them

that they are in a position to give and bless for those who are

in need. And he's going back in the

previous chapter to encourage them to say, hey, there's the

church, the Macedonian churches, which gave, and I want you to

also give. They gave in the midst of severe

trial. They gave through poverty.

In fact, when you read those verses in Two Corinthians 8

versus 1 to 4, you'll see that the giving was in the midst of

severe trial. They were said to be poor, but

he said they were compared to being rich when they were given,

when they were giving in generosity, they gave beyond

their ability, which means what they were because of the cause

of the church, their love for God.

They gave beyond their ability. They were wanting to share it

with the Lord's people. And this is what Paul sets the

context to before he comes to this passage.

And he says, I'm sending my son Titus to you so that he can come

and collect it and don't so sparingly.

So generously is what he's wanting us to look at from 2

Corinthians 9. And the reason being is many a

times we get into this understanding that I can only

sow for myself. But the broader context that

Paul draws is we sow for his fellow believers all across the

world. And so in this season of

harvest, as we're doing this harvest Sunday, as we're

gathering, as you're bringing some of our resources together,

it's not for us. It's not for us to get a new AC.

It's not for us to do make ourselves comfortable here.

It's for us to give it so that it blesses the larger body.

It blesses the extension, blesses the work that they're

doing. And so when we have that, how

are we doing it? Are we grudgingly doing it, or

are we doing it from a place beyond our ability?

Are we doing it from a place of rising above, from our comfort

zone to rise up and do what He's called us to do?

You're giving not to someone. You're giving it to God.

Why are we giving it to God? Because he's the first person

who gave it back, gave it to us. He blessed the toy.

He blessed the work of our hands, and in turn, we are

giving it back to Him. God looks at what we give and

how we give. It's just not.

We take care and we just give it.

You know how we give it? How we give it matters.

God wants us to come to a place where He can trust us with more.

But are we being better stewards with what He's given?

I remember one of our church members talking to us and

saying, I'm in between my job so I won't be able to tithe.

And I love that we've we're in a place where we don't know who's

tithing, who's not. We're like, this is between you

and God. What God is going to oversee, I

don't want man to oversee. And it's interesting.

I know what they thought about it.

But when we were just saying. You get to decide when you're

tithing, you're you're going to decide when you're going to give

is between you and God. The onus is between you and God.

He sees you. I don't see you.

I'm not going to treat you. I The, the main reason for us is

so that we don't treat you any different based on whether

you're giving or not giving. And I believe this is how God is

also with us. Salvation was not forced on to

us. You didn't become a Christ

follower. You didn't become a Christian.

You didn't become a person who loves Jesus because it was

forced on to you. Yeah, you might have been

brought up in a Christian home. You would have been going to

Sunday school. You would have had your parents

do all the right things. But till you have a deep

encounter with him, nothing takes effect.

And that's where it comes. God wants to come to a place

where we are in direct contact with him, where we are saying,

God, I'm doing this because I love you.

I'm doing this because I want you.

I'm doing this because I need you.

Salvation is not forced, but rather by invitation.

He stands. Behold, I'm standing at the door

and knock. And when he's knocking, when we

choose to open, when we choose to absorb Him and we allow His

words to mingle with our sinful nature and oversee over

supersede the sinful natures, when we start loving Him and

moving towards Him, it causes me to be in the House of the Lord

every Sunday because suddenly I realized I can't do this

Christian life alone. I need to do it with others.

And even for those of you watching online, you're probably

like, you know, you're alone. You're in a place right now,

you're unable to come because of your shift, because you're

travelling. But plug yourself with God's

people. That's where real encouragement

is. Plug yourself with people across

different age groups. That's what the church is.

Plug yourself in places where God is calling you to be because

sometimes we think we don't have enough till we are amongst

people when we realize we've have more than enough.

Giving again is not forced by God.

He is not forcing us, He's rather inviting us to

participate in it. In Two Corinthians chapter 8,

verses 13 to 15, when Paul is writing to the Corinthian

church, he says after he gives his note from the Macedonian

church, he says our desire is not that others might be

relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be

equality at the present time. Your plenty will supply what

they need, so that in turn there are plenty will supply what you

need. The goal is equality as it is

written. The one who gathered much did

not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have

too little. The beautiful thing about the

harvest is that we always are looking in terms of equality.

That's why I'm not worried about the field that God has called us

to work on. Each of us have our own field.

Each of us are called to till our own soil.

Each of us are called to do what you're called to done.

This is where it is beautifully said.

It said the goal is equality. Today, the way we do church and

the way the church that's been done across the street, down

this way or the other way or across the city is all done in

equality. So today when we come here, we

are thinking of God. What are you calling us to do?

Because you can only serve 2 masters.

It says the Bible. You can either serve God or only

serve money. And when we serve God, money

will be secondary. We will look at money as a tool.

We'll be like God. What is if we give this, what

is, what is the X that will expand your work in this space?

Paul's desire in all of this is that we will experience

equality, that a giving will also balance out so that

everyone will feel the same. Our present plenty helps someone

else. And so as Paul talks to them, he

talks to them about sowing and reaping.

And I believe that sowing and reaping as we do it, we do it

with the right intentions because when we sow we saw with

the right intentions, we get the right yield.

When we saw apple seeds, when we saw a particular fruit seeds, we

get apple, apple seeds, apple seeds, we get apple, orange

seeds, we get orange watermelon seeds, we get watermelon.

We're not here to cross it. We're not here to see what can,

what's the hybrid that will come?

No, they're called to do put it, put it to work and let's bless

others. And I believe many of us are

trying to look for shortcuts in this.

Many of us, I, I don't know why, but I believe we are living in a

day and age where we are, we are building storehouses for

ourselves. But God's saying the storehouse

belongs to me. The storehouse belongs to me

because we can have we can work towards building a storehouse

and our anchor be completely in the world and not in the world.

We can be so caught up in building the storehouse that we

forget that the person who gives is giving with arms open, that

we start surviving with arms closed.

And so as we look into this, there's something that God wants

us to do spiritually also, because whatever we are lacking

spiritually manifests in the physical.

And so I believe today as we sow into our own lives, into our own

spirit, man, we'll be able to reap a harvest in our spirit in

a spiritual sense, in a walk with Christ.

And in turn, that will diametrically have an effect

into the journey that you're called to take.

Earlier on, I said, your word is a lamp into my feet.

And so when we talk about this revelation, light, it guides me,

yes, which is my physical. But the revelation, we start

saying, Oh God, thank you so much.

I will show grace. I'll show grace in this point.

I'll show your love in this point.

I'll show mercy in this point. I'll show this Lord and in due

time, as we go on that journey, His revelation to light will

help us reap certain rewards. And I have three things that I

wanted to highlight for you. The first one is we sow from

what we've tasted. We sow from what we've tasted.

If you're called to be generous in us sowing, you can only sow

spiritually only what we've tasted from the giver of life,

from God himself. Psalm 34, verses 8 to 9 says

Psalms 34:8–9

taste and see that the Lord is good.

Blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.

Fear the Lord you. Who's you?

His holy people. But those who fear Him lack

nothing. When we taste and see that we're

able, when we taste and see of God, we're able to see the

difference between a good seed and a bad seed.

We'll be able to taste the difference between what is from

God. We'll be able to taste and see

what is from the devil. What is from God is good.

What is from the devil looks good but is not good.

What is from God endures, allows me to sustain through time,

doesn't crumble, doesn't make me doesn't doesn't put me under

bondage, doesn't yoke me, but rather what comes from the devil

yokes me, puts me under a bondage, puts me under a under a

put scales on my eyes so that I'm not able to see.

And so today God wants to deal with that deal with that in our

lives. What are some of the good seeds

that we are struggling to sow because we have so much having

those bad seeds in our life. You know, when we look at the

farmer, when he takes seeds to sow, he's not taking like this

like salt pea and just sprinkling of, you know, he

takes a handful and he's doing it before that he looks through

his seed, whether the seed is good or not.

And I believe today a lot of us have to spend some time seeing

what we are putting into a spirit.

Is it good or not? What does a bad seed entail?

A bad seed entails is what a bad seed is 1, which is hollow,

which doesn't have anything, looks like a seed but has

nothing inside. And I believe a lot of us have

that. A lot of us have generational

anger that's come in, generational discontentment

that's come in. Lot of us have, you know, which

has just been passed down because of the environment that

we are in, because we've been bullied.

We are like, you know, we will bully others.

And so that seed of bullies there and so suddenly all these

hard seeds which only bear hurt and regret and guilt are there.

Whereas the good seeds, there are few.

But we, we because of our life experiences, we have so much of

the bad seeds. But God's saying I want to

change that. Can you taste of me first?

Because when you taste of me, I can change it.

You know, there's a seed separated test.

Basically, they put seeds and they'll allow it to sow up.

They put it on water. Whatever the bad seeds will be

floating, whatever the good seeds will go right down.

And it got me thinking. It's in the washing of the

world, in our lives that we will be able to be good seeds that we

can sow into our own lives. It's in the washing of the

world. You and I have to allow God's

word to wash us, to wash us, to wash every crevice, to wash

every area. When you dunk something in, all

of it gets it gets to experience the water.

And so today, what area of our lives are we willing to allow

God in? What are the hollow areas of my

life because I was unloved as a child?

God, I want to love your living water to come in and so that it

will permeate into my life. When we read from Ephesians 5

Ephesians 5:25–27

verses 25 to 27, it says husband loves your wife just as Christ

loved the church and gave himself up for her.

So make a holy cleansing her by the washing with water through

the world, and to present her to herself as a radiant church

without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and

blameless. Holy and blameless.

When I read it in the Passion, this is what it says.

For he died for us, sacrificing himself.

This is Jesus Christ who makes us holy and pure, cleansing us

to the showering of pure water of the Word of God.

Pure water is where you sit, not diluted.

You're not listening to a revelation from another pastor,

from another person. You sit, you ask God, reveal

this word to me, wash me inside out.

A lot of us why are we struggling in our marriages is

because we are not allowing ourselves to be washed by Christ

through His Word. I am not.

My love has become very conditional.

Oh only if my spouse does this for me will I love them?

No, but when I wash myself with God's Word, I love God to work,

I love for God's timing to work. I love for God to see.

And so because his love for the church was so much, because his

love and God's asking us as husband's, would you love your

wife like that? You'll wash her with the word.

And so, but I can't wash something which I've not tasted.

And so God is asking today, would you move into all the

seeds that you've been putting? A lot of us sometimes are

putting seeds, are sowing seeds so that it'll read something

that we will have a hook on. How many of us have friends who

does help for us but will remember it and then we'll call

out a favour later. God's not like that.

But God wants us to come to a place.

But he's like, you'll keep doing it because you love me.

You're not going to call him the favour because what I've

received from God is far bigger. What I've received from God

doesn't have. I can't, there's no line item.

What I've received from God, won't I?

Whatever I do, I won't come close to it.

God is asking, would you allow those bad seeds of hollowness of

being 2 faced or being worldly of which has written I or me all

over? Would we surrender it to the

washing of the world? And so it's beautiful when just

imagine when the Master Creator puts his hand, we suddenly see

him changing things in our life. We suddenly see He is maturing

us for his pleasure. He's maturing us so we become a

source of praise to Him. He's maturing us so we become

glorious and radiant and beautiful without fault.

I want to ask you today when I was preparing this, I was like,

God, there are seeds of anger in my life.

And today I want to allow your word to wash me through anger

because probably got some of the things that were not dealt right

in my life. And so because of that, I feel I

can deal it like this with with induced with anger.

And so I put that around, but God's saying, would you allow me

to wash it? And I can visibly say that God

has caused me to come to a place where I trust him with the

outcome. There was this instance in our

in our with with us as a family, where when our kids were growing

up, one kid drew this diagram where, you know, had I put 2

coffin boxes and put both our kids names on it.

And I remember I was heartbroken when I got to hear about it, but

the the only thing I could do is go, go take it to God.

I'm so hungry right now. What do I do, Lord, do I do I

confront them? Why did their child do this?

Lord, what did we do to them? There was nothing that we did.

And when I started a loving God, he said, allow me to work, allow

me to work, allow me to work. And it's interesting when you

allow him to work, you are filled because you're like God.

It it hurts me. That doesn't make me less of a

father for not reacting and acting, but Gods, and I'm

watching. I'll I'll fight that battle for

you. And I remember seeing God's hand

come through to me. And so today when I'm here, when

I'm saying is because we what I took it to God and I showed that

to God and I said, God, you deal with this.

He named me to to sow back forgiveness and just do it

because I love God so much. In turn, what I reaped was

different compared to what I would have done had I reaped

anger and judgement and hate. We no longer are seeing this

with just a me lens. We're seeing it with His lens,

His body. And we're asking God, what are

you asking me to do today? What are you asking me to do

today? Some of us are probably like in

this place where Lord God, I don't know what to do.

Lord God, say take this step of faith.

So this extra bit of time into this person, you will see them

flourish and in turn you'll find your life's purpose.

A lot of us are confused in what God's calling us to do because

we have tasted a bit of God, but we are unwilling to act in

faith. God saying act in faith, act in

faith, step out in faith, step out in faith, and I pray and ask

that you and I will be able to do that.

One thing that I can remember when as I'm seeing this is this

will only come from a place of gratitude.

When we go back to God and say God, I want to cast the seed

out, but I want it to be washed by a word.

I want it to be washed by me soaking in.

I want to taste you and then I want to sow this.

God will delightfully work in and through our lives.

We must be grateful for every seed.

With Thanksgiving we will be able to have revelation of what

God needs for us to do. Today I came across this court

and it says gratitude for the seemingly insignificant, the

seed this plants, the giant miracle.

I believe God wants us to come to a place where this gratitude

we would have for every seed, whether it is insignificant or

significant in our eyes, what comes out of it will be

something far bigger for God to work in and through us because

we are committed to sowing. I pray that we'll be able to sow

what we've tasted. You know, many of us times we

are trying to just say, oh, God will heal.

Oh God will do this without even tasting it for ourselves.

I pray, let us taste, let us be, let us have a posture of

gratitude. That's why I love asking the

church when you're praying, let us all in our own words, start

praying and saying who God is to us.

Because if we don't have a personal experience of who God

is for us, we won't be able to cast out the right seeds.

It will fall on hollow ground. The second thing is when we are

called to sow, we sow because we've tasted it from God.

The second we sow diligently, which means one thing is

consistently where we are doing it, but diligently means we're

doing with utmost care. For any seed to bear fruit and

to grow and for the reaping to happen, there has to be

diligence on our part. Diligence is we are aware of the

situation. Diligence is we're looking

beyond. This is just showing up.

We are like, what does the season entail?

What should I be aware of? What worm is going to come?

What is the climatic condition? Have I planting the right seed

for a season like this? This is where God is calling us

to see him and we did earlier in Two Corinthians Chapter 9.

I want to go back to verse 7. It says each of you should give

what you've decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly

or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

What does that mean? It means that there is a

decision that we make in our heart every time when we show

up. So today in August, when you're

here, God, what is it that I have to do today?

What is it I have to be watchful of?

It was interesting. I was doing a shoot for a fellow

pastor friend and I was talking to his dad and he said in this

particular Adi Maso month, the evil spirit is moving among

people. You will see a lot of suicides

happen. You will see so many things

happen. Why does that happen?

Because you're diligent. You are in the midst of sowing.

You're aware of what is happening around.

And so today there will be discord that comes.

There'll be things. We bind everything in the name

of Jesus. We no longer are just doing

things by rote, but we are also aware when I'm diligently sowing

God's seeds, which he's called me to sow, I'm also actively

being present right there. What are some of the bad seeds

that I'm allowing God to deal in my life right now?

Insecurity when I look, the body dysmorphia that I struggle, I've

probably ingrained that within me.

But then every time when I have allowed and been washed by God's

word, I understand that the creator was not someone else,

but the Creator was God himself and he creates everything

perfect. It's sin which caused all of

these things to really muddle me up.

Suddenly there's weightage to the colour of our skin, that is

weightage to the way we look. There's weightage to our

circumstances and the socio economic things that we have.

But when I realized that God is a God for everyone and anyone, I

start seeing things differently. I start seeing things the way

God intends for me to see it. And So what happens?

Immediately I realized He's the one who stitched me.

He is my creator. I go back to him and I say God.

I want original design. I learnt to receive his love.

Hollow ideas which were once filled have all been expelled

now because of Him working in and through me.

I daily go diligently. I'm aware, I'm aware if this

particular person comes, is going to target my identity,

God, I don't want to receive it. Let it fall on hollow ground.

I realize what situation I'm placing myself in.

I realize where I'm at today so that I'm not desiring for

something that I don't have. Genesis 127 says for God created

mankind his own image. In the image of God, He created

the both male and female. God was diligent with everything

that he did. We are called to be diligent in

everything we do. As a farmer's diligent.

When you see a farmer, he's up before Daybreak, he goes in, he

does his watering, he does everything that's needed.

He waits patiently for the rain. But it beyond that, he also

tends to everything that has to be done there in the in the

garden and in the in the place where he's doing his produce.

We learn to enjoy the process every day.

His mercies are new every day. Problem is the world has gotten

to think us differently. The world wants us to think of

yield. Suddenly we also are thinking,

God, I'm I've been sowing so much.

Why is it not turning around? God, what happened?

God, I've, I've been doing so many things, but why isn't?

But the diligent are not looking for yield.

The diligent are just looking to enjoy the fact that their maker

is with them. And that point of time today

when you go to the fruit market and the vegetable market, you

can visibly see apparently what is GM or what is genetically

modified. Genetically modified is done in

the seed level just so that it'll yield better.

It'll it'll, it'll meet the demand that is there today.

But today when God's calling us into the harvest field, he's not

calling us for genetically modified.

He's calling us for those who've tasted him so that we will be

God modified to be workers there.

Because if we are working for genetically modified, I will

look at a person and see if this person will healed enough for

me. And otherwise I won't pour out

into them. God is saying, would you look at

them as being God modified? Because God modified something

in me. He turned that seeds.

He's turning every part of my seed, every area of my seed,

every stage of my seed, he's changing it.

And as I'm working and realizing God, you're doing so much the

Potters working things out, He's putting his hand in and so

suddenly you aren't fighting the world with all its ideologies in

terms of identity with self, sexuality with self interests,

money which feeds and which which thinks of money as a as as

as something that which is more of a pursuit, a more like a God

relationship with a self-centered in which to

protect our own interests work, which is so one track which just

is about me climbing up God. They talk about God, but it's

pluralistic. They have so many freedom where

we they're called to lower their freedom.

All these are all genetically modified.

But God is saying, I want to modify all that.

And so today, as we work in this, as we did in Genesis 127,

we are called to undergo a God modification diligently is when

you look at the meaning. It's a way that is careful and

uses a lot of effort. So you and I will be required

for us to put in a lot of effort today.

Are we ready to do that? Because we can only do that when

we enjoy the place that God's placed us in.

We can only be diligent in the place where God's placed us in.

You know, when we look at our cycle of harvest here in India,

we have 3 cycles, the monsoon, then we have post monsoon and we

have summer. And typically different things

are sewn in all these three seasons because of the weather

pattern, because of the rains, because of the heat.

But what is sewn is also harvested.

And I believe today God wants us to move to a place where we are

aware of what land we have, what season we are in, because a lot

of us have got everything warped.

A lot of us have been have warped it so much that you're

planting something what has to be planted in summer and monsoon

and we're struggling with it. I believe that when we wash

ourselves with the Word, we will have this Holy Spirit's

discernment of what to do well. Are we weary?

Are we unsettled in the fact that this won't yield?

I pray maybe move from being genetically modified because

that is all about me, to making it more God modified.

So we'll see all about what He has.

Sometimes the harvest that God's calling us to harvest is

lifelong. We'll see people seeing their

miracles after 5-10 years. But can we be diligent in

anything that we do, in everything that we do?

And the reason why I want us to be diligent is because a lot of

us are struggling to accept the very land that He's placed us

in, the very land, the very job, the very marriage, the very

thing that He's called us to be. And a lot of us are struggling

to still come to terms of the very family that He's placed us

in. And I pray that you and I will

come to a place where we'll say, God, we will sow diligently, we

will show up diligently, we'll put in the effort.

Lord, it's not sowing and reaping.

God wants diligence. More than anything, He wants

diligence. It's in our diligence that he

can trust us with more. It's in our diligence he trains

us to see hope being realized. We can show up diligently only

when we love the place where we are placed at.

A lot of us are struggling in that.

I I pray if you're diligent in the place that you placed at,

you will flourish. You will flourish and the

flourishing won't be seen. Oh, you won't have to talk about

it. It'll be witnessed by people

around. It'll be witnessed by people

around. It'll be witnessed by the people

around and they will testify that God is doing something here

in the flourishing. Hebrews chapter 6, verse 11 from

Hebrews 6:11

our verse that we've taken for the year, it says we want each

of you to show the same diligence to the very end so

that your hope may be fully realized.

This diligence that you're called is a lifelong thing that

he's calling us. The sowing and reaping is a

lifelong thing that he's calling us.

The third thing we see is we reap in Thanksgiving and God

multiplies it. Sowing and reaping you might

feel like, but you didn't emphasize.

The idea is that as we are washed by his word, we'd only

sow what is good if we sow evil and discord.

That's what we will get if we so disrespect.

That's what you will get if we sow unhealthy choices.

That's what we will get. We will reap that if we sow

divisiveness. That's what we'll get if we are

tending to break relationships and things that God's kept in

our lives. If you are, if you are a

self-destructive person, that's what our reaping also will look

like today. What is God wanting us to do

when it's time to reap? Because many a times when you

come to reaping, we forget God. When we come to celebrating, we

forget God. That's where we make the

mistake, where we take the glory for ourselves.

And this is where God is saying, when we reap in Thanksgiving,

God multiplies it. I pray that there'll be

Thanksgiving on our lips. I pray when you're reaping,

we'll be in a season to say, God, grateful for all that

you've done, grateful for the rain, grateful for the sun,

grateful for everything. Reaping with Thanksgiving

because it was worth trusting God.

Because you are not alone in this journey.

Because you are dependent on God.

Because godliness with contentment is great gain.

And I love what God had actually spoken about in the Old

Testament. Because when He talked about

collecting, you can see when God had taken the Israelites out and

He started providing Munna, He said go and take enough.

I will provide you every day and on the 6th day I'll provide you

even for the 7th day so you can observe the Sabbath.

Now that carried forward into the work that God called them to

do. He said on Sabbath rest

everything rest, even the rest, even the animals and everything

and take rest. So which means God told you can

come to a place where that one day you're called to take a

break. You can trust me with that.

And then there's an interesting after that when you read, he

says do the same thing with the lamb, give the rest an entire

year worth of rest. And this is where it got me

thinking, with Jesus coming, He's wanting us to extend that

further into our everyday, what was a week, what was a, what was

after six, the 7th year. He's saying do it every day.

That is every day we get to reap off His goodness in our lives.

Are we doing it with Thanksgiving?

Because when we do it with Thanksgiving, we'll be able to

see the multiplication of it. We'll be able to see the

multiplication of it. The way I see it with regard to

sowing and reaping, we are sowing in some areas.

We are reaping in some areas. Everything is happening

simultaneously. Everything is happening

simultaneously. And so when we are called to do

that, we need to have an everyday attitude of

Thanksgiving. Why was that Old Testament thing

important? Because it always brought down

to a heart check of what my dependence is on.

Is it on the work of my hands or is it the work of God?

Is it in my provision that comes through my hands, or is it the

provision that comes by giving thanks to God who provided it

for me? Is Thanksgiving on my terms or

is it Thanksgiving on God's terms?

I love how we recently visited one of our church family friends

and they had a dining table and I don't remember telling them

that there's these new tables which you can extend.

And it's interesting because you don't give thanks only when it's

small, even when you extend the table.

So you open it from the center and you move to the side and

then there's another shelfing unit that just comes from below

and attaches. And then what was just a four

seater now is now an 8 seater and it can accommodate more.

You give thanks not only when you're less in number, but you

also give thanks when you're more.

You share of not only when it's just your family, you share of

when you're with others. And so this constant thing that

keeps running in my mind is when we are called to deal with

compassion like Jesus because of his word, when he's calling us

into the work field, we are reaping with Thanksgiving.

We are reaping because many a times we've just played the part

of sowing, or we just play the part of watering, or we're just

playing the part of reaping. Whatever it is, all glory goes

to Jesus. And I love how some of these

things start happening because our sowing and reaping, many a

times we make the reaping all about ourselves.

But when you look at the story of Ruth, we see that the reaping

makes room fathers, God says in the Old Testament.

And when you read the book of the laws, he says make room,

don't glean, don't go all the way to the corners and take

leave the ones at the corner so that the poor, those who are

unable to take, unable to afford, can take from your land.

And that and that brings me back to what I spoke to.

He's back on margin. What are some of the margins

that we are allowing people to participate in, participate in?

A lot of us might find a route if we make room.

A lot of us might find a breakthrough when we make room.

What was happening when Boaz met Ruth?

He said you just go like the women, pick up whatever you can

with the when the harvesters are going, that's yours.

A lot of us will learn to live in the overflow because many

others are living in the overflow.

I didn't understand this concept till a couple of years when God

taught me as to why He wanted to bless the company.

And I realized the blessing that was happening on the company was

I was just probably on the top of the many others who are

getting blessed right below. And I started understanding and

I said, thank you God, I won't make this about me, it's all

about you. I won't make it about me, it's

all about you. When we read from Hebrews 6

Hebrews 6:10

verse 10, this is what it says. God is not unjust.

He will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as

you have helped his people and continue to help them.

And so today in our reaping may be filled with thanks, because

gratefulness has to come every step of the way.

And when we do this, we tend to multiply.

So what happens is with this reaping that we do, we suddenly

realize we are asked to give to others who are around.

The children that God's calling us to raise are not for us are

but for His Kingdom. The people that God's calling us

to lead are not for us, but are for His Kingdom, the people that

we are called to do life with a call for his Kingdom.

And so today are we willing to participate in this weeping with

Thanksgiving because we don't know what our part is, but we

know the mission that is fulfilled is far bigger than

what part we've played. Two Corinthians Chapter 9.

I want to read verse 11 and conclude with that and encourage

you. It says from verse 10 onwards,

this generous God who supplies abundant seed for the farmer,

which becomes bread for our meals, is even more extravagant

toward you. First, He supplies every need

plus more than He multiplies the seed as you sow it so that the

harvest of your generosity will grow.

You will be abundantly enriched in every way as you give

generously on every occasion. For when we take your gifts to

those in need, it causes many to give thanks to God in our

reaping. Are many able to give thanks to

God Are many others able to give thanks to God?

I want to be known that that God I was obedient to the call of

God so that when we reap many others are able to give thanks

to God because they're able to be benefactors of things that

were reaped here through the obedience that I was able to

that my family was able to do so church.

I don't know what you're struggling with.

Probably you've been you, you, you feel like you know all this

while I've just sewed for myself.

It's OK. You can come back to him.

You can make it still back to God.

For those of you who feel like, you know, if I don't deal it

with this, this way of sewing, I, I can't protect myself.

But God is a far bigger protector.

I want to come to a place for those of you who are like, you

know what? I want to give up on this.

I'm so discontent. I, I don't feel like sowing.

I don't feel this is the land that I belong.

But God can't take you to another place if you don't tell

this. Well, if you don't tell this,

well, if you don't make things grow in this.

I'm just praying and asking that God will work in and through our

lives. It's, it's a hard sermon.

Sowing and reaping is a hard thing.

If I didn't sow right when my children were growing up, I

can't reap something from them what was not sown.

And so these are these are lifelong things which you'll

have to go and it's it's many times you can't put it all on

yourself. You'll crumble, you'll break.

You need to bring God in. You need to bring his word in.

You need to allow His word to permeate and work in and through

you because what God wants to change are the patterns that you

were brought in to a place where he's taking it to original

design, where He's saying, I want you to be who I've created

you to be, who I've made you to be so that you can run

effectively. Do things with an anointing that

could be far greater than what you've thought of or imagined.

So even as we pray, maybe sow from what you've tasted, maybe

show up diligently, maybe reap the Thanksgiving so that God

multiplies it and others will be able to give thanks for what God

has done. And we just look to God in

prayer and conclude, Lord, we thank you, Lord, for this time.

Thank you, Lord, for your word. Thank you, Lord, for the season

of harvest that we are all in. Lord Jesus, I believe you're

doing something marvelous. I pray that, Lord, your word

will come into our hearts, into our minds.

I pray a revelation light will guide us.

Your revelation light will show us the way.

Lord Jesus, it will not only show us the way, but it will

work in our minds. Lord, I pray that you'll be with

each and everyone, strengthen each and everyone.

I pray for those who lack diligence, who've been showing

consistently, but Lord, who've who've been not putting in the

effort, I pray you'll enable them to put in the effort.

I pray for those who have been reaping it for themselves, will

be able to confess and independence will be able to

reap with Thanksgiving. Lord Jesus, we give you the

glory. We'll give you the honor.

Go before us, strengthen us, be with us, take charge.

Lord Jesus, I pray that Lord, you would be with us every step

of the way. We give you the glory and the

honor. Lord Jesus, be glorified.

In your most holy name we pray, Amen.

Amen. I pray that you have a blessed

week ahead. I pray that even in the season

of harvest that as you sow and reap, you'll be able to see God

clearly than ever before. I pray that God will bless the

work of your hands, strengthen your feet and your body so that

you'll be able to accomplish all that He's called you to do.

And remember this, that whoever finds Jesus finds faith.
