  1. What a great setup.

  2. That was that's great.

  3. We know that the uh that there's uh there's uh an aggressive uh an aggressive uh attack for the minds of our kids.

  4. And uh we know that the world is is trying to shape and capture the minds early on, uh younger and younger, and we just need to be ahead of that as parents in being the primary influencers in our own life in their own lives.

  5. How many of you know that you can either let life happen to you or make life happen for you?

  6. And uh I was watching basketball games with my boys the other day, and uh what one of the games they just had, the the team was coming at them, and they were just responding to the offense of the team.

  7. And there came to a point where we had to tell them, you need to be the threat.

  8. You need to be the threat.

  9. Like, make them pay.

  10. See that tall guy in the middle?

  11. Bring him down.

  12. Make him know your name, like let him know your number.

  13. When they say you coming down the court, they're watching out for you.

  14. Here he comes, watch out.

  15. He's gonna lend his shoulder into your chest, he's gonna put you down on the ground.

  16. Like, he's gonna, they can't dunk yet.

  17. I just wish they could, but that would be so awesome.

  18. Oh, my one son can dunk.

  19. Yeah, that's good.

  20. You'll have well, I don't know.

  21. He says he can.

  22. I haven't seen it on video yet, so is yet to be proven.

  23. But uh, I just I just know that in uh in this culture, you need to be the threat.

  24. You need to be the threat spiritually against the enemy, against the culture.

  25. You need to be the one advancing the kingdom, advancing God's principles and God's purposes forward.

  26. And that means like tearing down like those obstacles that are in front and and setting setting parameters in place in order for you to protect your family and protect your future because they're too valuable to us.

  27. Our kids are too valuable and too important, and their futures are too valuable and too important.

  28. Uh, rewriting the algorithm.

  29. They were gonna talk about something really cool today.

  30. Um, how many how many of you have ever been just sitting somewhere with your phone, and you've noticed that your phone just like knows you?

  31. The ads come up, it's like you've been talking about a new fridge, and next thing you know, there's new fridges on sale.

  32. And it's listening.

  33. How many of you know that?

  34. Yeah, we know that.

  35. I'm not going down that road right now.

  36. The whole world is 5G, 6G.

  37. Have you heard of the seven?

  38. Like, it's it's common.

  39. But if you ever watched, like you've seen this algorithm that it's it's ones and zeros, and it's like tracking your interests, and one video that you looked at at one time leads to another video, which leads to another video, and suddenly your entire feed is filled with something that you had never thought.

  40. Uh, one minute you're watching like a leadership clip, and you're like, oh, this is great leadership.

  41. And next thing you know, you're like messaging your wife, how am I gonna like change the backyard and buy a new smoker?

  42. Like, this is where we get meat on wholesale.

  43. It's like, how did you go from one thing to the next?

  44. You're like, I don't even own a backyard.

  45. But you didn't plan it, you didn't choose it, but the algorithm chose it for you.

  46. And so it tracked what you paid attention to, and it started feeding you all the same.

  47. And now this is what I realized that your brain and your mind works the same way.

  48. What you dwell on, what you replay in your mind, what you agree with, it starts to form patterns.

  49. And those patterns don't just stay in your head, they start shaping your life and defining your future.

  50. Last week we talked about the importance of knowing God for yourself.

  51. Knowing God, not God being a relationship that you have because of your family or your culture or what's popular or trending.

  52. But you know God for yourself.

  53. And you know him, and he because he already knows you, you now can get to know him.

  54. And today we want to talk about this life purpose, and your purpose for your life is really going to be defined by those the by what starts up here, your views, those patterns that start shaping your life and defining your future.

  55. Eventually, you're not just thinking those thoughts, the thoughts begin to to to lead and guide you without you even intending it.

  56. Because you fed them for so long, they just go on autopilot and start to lead and direct you.

  57. Your life is going to move in the direction of your most powerful thought.

  58. That's good.

  59. Your most powerful thought is going to drive you, and the scripture said this early on.

  60. One of uh Solomon's lead uh top wise sayings was this that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

  61. So you need to guard your heart.

  62. Guard what you're feeding your heart, because it will define your life.

  63. If you want to change your life, you don't start with your situation, you start with your internal feed.

  64. What are you saying to yourself?

  65. What are you believing?

  66. Because your belief should practi should determine and dictate your practice, dictate how you how you live.

  67. I I heard a story about a woman who was um who had just gotten married, and she was making dinner at her home, and uh she was cooking the holiday ham.

  68. How many of you have ham?

  69. Like still have ham.

  70. It sounds like an antiquated thing, like people have kind of moved from hams, but I still love a good ham.

  71. And she ended up cutting both ends off of the ham and before she put it in the pan and before she cooked it.

  72. And her husband should have just kept his mouth shut, but he said, Why?

  73. Why are you doing that?

  74. Why did you cut both ends off the ham?

  75. And she said, Well, you know, she thought about it for a moment.

  76. She goes, That's how my mom taught me to do it.

  77. So he's like, you know what?

  78. I'm gonna dig a little deeper.

  79. This is where you stop again.

  80. But instead, he called the mother-in-law.

  81. Hey, just thinking about this.

  82. Your daughter just cut the edges off the ham, you know, the ends off the ham.

  83. Any idea why you do that?

  84. And she said, Well, that's just the way my mom taught me.

  85. So he's like, I'm going one step farther.

  86. I've only got this one moment in time.

  87. He calls up the mother of the mother.

  88. He says, Hey, how come you cut off?

  89. You know, she's making a ham, she cut off the edges.

  90. Why did you do that?

  91. And she goes, I just had a small pan.

  92. Just like to make it fit in the pan.

  93. Small oven, small pan.

  94. I just need to get in there.

  95. You wonder how things get shaped, your mind gets shaped, your practices get shaped over generations, and sometimes you don't even know why you're doing what you're doing, but you're doing it.

  96. When you're asked why do you do that?

  97. You're like, Well, I just don't know.

  98. Just happens to be the way you should do it.

  99. And everyone should cut off the edges to the ham.

  100. Have you ever done that?

  101. Start telling other people how to do things, even though you don't even know why you're doing it yourself.

  102. Gotta check yourself.

  103. Gotta be careful here.

  104. I wonder if you and I are doing these same things and you don't intend purposefully to do it.

  105. But the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

  106. So the way you change the result is you change what you do to change how the result, the outcome will be, what the outcome will be.

  107. And it's for this reason we need to review our mindset.

  108. And if we're gonna change our life, we must first change our mind.

  109. So let's go to uh Romans chapter 8, verse 5 and 6, and we're just gonna anchor this to the scripture here.

    Romans 8:5

  110. Romans chapter 8, verse 5 and 6, it says this those who live according to the flesh have their mind set on what the flesh desires.

    Romans 8:5

  111. But those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their mind set on what the Spirit desires.

  112. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

  113. So you have this view of a mindset.

  114. And in this mindset, Paul is talking to the Roman people in the book of Romans, and he's saying, Listen, I know you've been instructed to do it the Roman way.

  115. The Roman way says act like this, think like this, function like this, be like this, be the Roman.

  116. Do it the Roman way.

  117. And Paul is saying there's a different way.

  118. It's not about Roman or non-Roman, it's about flesh or spirit.

  119. And you need to have a mindset.

  120. If you want to achieve life and peace, you've got to set your mind on the spirit.

  121. If you want to achieve death, you set your mind on the flesh.

  122. And so there's a battle that goes on, and the battle is going to be happening up here, and it's going to happen in your mind.

  123. What are you going to serve?

  124. Where are you going to pursue?

  125. What steps are you going to pursue?

  126. Steps that lead you to a deeper relationship with the flesh or a deeper relationship with the spirit.

  127. Steps that take you closer to death or steps that take you closer to life and peace.

  128. And I've seen this in the life of people where they've started to get off the steps, they start taking steps towards death.

  129. And I know it, you can feel it.

  130. They start losing their peace, losing their life.

  131. And sometimes in our life there needs to be like a course correct.

  132. And we need to renew our mind.

  133. So there's a struggle in our life.

  134. The enemy, if he wants to attack you, he will attack your mind.

  135. Ephesians 6.12 says this our struggle is not against flesh and blood.

  136. That's the easiest thing to do.

  137. My wife is the problem.

  138. My kids are the problem.

  139. My boss is the problem.

  140. The culture, Carney's the problem.

  141. Flesh and blood.

  142. It's easy to attack flesh and blood, but against the spirit set, the battle here, the struggle here, is against rulers, against authorities, against powers of this dark world, against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm.

  143. It's not something that's natural, it's something that's supernatural.

  144. So when the enemy comes to attack your purpose in your life, the direction in your life, he's going to come after your mindset and he's going to say, You need to do this.

  145. You need to choose this.

  146. And he'll want to choose and steer you to a place of death.

  147. Where God's plan for you is the plan that God has for you, is toward life and life to all abundance.

  148. More abundance for you.

  149. So the enemy plays dirty.

  150. He'll plant doubt in your mind, suspicion in your mind, shame in your mind.

  151. He'll say, those are the thoughts you need to think on, instead of the thoughts that God has for you, which are for good thoughts, a future thought, a purposeful thought for your present and your future.

  152. And so if you don't know how to wage war against the enemy, you'll try to fight him on an external basis when really the battle is fought internally.

  153. So your life and your purpose will be defined by that thought, and you will follow that thought wherever that thought leads.

  154. And sometimes it's not even about changing your mind, it's more about not letting your mind wander.

  155. Because a wandering mind is a dangerous mind.

  156. It gets caught in the feelings, it gets caught in the gentle, in the quiet moments when you're just going to bed.

  157. I'm just gonna go on Instagram for a bit.

  158. And all of a sudden, those thoughts start to get hijacked.

  159. You know what?

  160. Other people have more than you, and you're not doing enough, and no one knows what you're going through.

  161. And it wanders, your mind begins to wander.

  162. Instead of what the scripture says, you need to put a centurion, a guard against the enemy that's gonna come to try and rob and steal and destroy from you.

  163. And he's gonna do it up here first until it translates out here.

  164. So a wandering mindset is a dangerous mindset.

  165. And this is what happens.

  166. You can either let the world happen to you, or you can define what happens in the world that you're living in.

  167. And so you can either get on the court and you can be like, hey, I think I'm gonna play today, and just allow the other team to set the temperature and the pace in the room, or you can go into it and say, I'm going to decide my future.

  168. I'm gonna decide the outcome of this game, I'm gonna decide the outcome of this point.

  169. So I've learned that wandering mind is often something that we we we get challenged with internally, and so so that's why sometimes you can have a great thought, like have great things going around you and still feel uh not feel connected to that reality.

  170. So like we we have great things going on in the church, and and we've got I like I just I just know that we've got engagements in the church, we've got people who are like moving on in life, and yet when you talk to people, you know, you remember that time when you talk to them about life and purpose, and they're like, Man, how am I gonna do it?

  171. Am I gonna have enough?

  172. Where are we gonna live?

  173. What's our job?

  174. Like, all of a sudden the doubt starts to seep in instead of that opportunity to really respect the moment.

  175. And often, like when I was little, my parents instructed me, you can't trust your feelings.

  176. Your feelings can either be your friend or your foe.

  177. Because how many of you have ever watched a scary movie and you felt scared, even though it's just the movie?

  178. But you feel it.

  179. And the feeling is a reality because you put yourself in the position where you started to think thoughts, even though it was coming through a medium of a screen, but those thoughts created in you an actual reality.

  180. So you have to be careful what you allow yourself to see.

  181. So, a mindset.

  182. There are two mindsets that the scripture talks about.

  183. We read in Romans 8, and that mindset is the mindset of the flesh and the mindset of the spirit.

  184. The flesh will lead you to death, the spirit leads you to life and peace.

  185. So choose the right mindset and choose where you're going to go.

  186. Choose the proper mindset.

  187. I'm gonna have a faith mindset.

  188. It's not by my might nor by my power, but by the spirit of God.

  189. I'm gonna choose faith.

  190. I'm gonna choose God's mindset for me.

  191. So, how do we get this?

  192. How do we train our mindset to actually be kept on the spirit?

  193. The first thing we do is this we remove things.

  194. This is often uh a step in the chain of mindset that we we we neglect.

  195. There are some things in your life you just need to first and foremost cleanse.

  196. Remove.

  197. You gotta do a cleanse.

  198. You gotta be like, before you start putting on new mindsets, you gotta make sure that you're building those mindsets on the right foundation.

  199. You often have to remove some of the things that are in your life.

  200. Like, uh I every now and then, like, how many of you have gone into like your Amazon cart, and your Amazon cart is full of all different types of things, and you just gotta like delete all.

  201. And a lot of people don't like to purge things, but sometimes you just gotta look at your calendar and be like, delete all.

  202. I'm gonna decide what my calendar looks like.

  203. I'm gonna decide what my day looks like, I'm gonna decide what my business looks like, I'm gonna check it.

  204. And you need to actually go to God in prayer, go to God in worship, be in his presence and say, Lord, what is it that you want to do right now?

  205. What is it that you want to accomplish with my time?

  206. What is it that you want to do for me in my life?

  207. And you and I have to be really good at being able to say these things we need to remove.

  208. Like I remember the internet isn't as bad as it used to be, but I remember there were times you go to a website and it'd be like pop-ups are like bing bing bing.

  209. And now you got like news articles are flashing up and you're trying to read a story or read an article, and all these ads are coming up, and you know what you look for?

  210. The first thing you gotta look for?

  211. That little X.

  212. The little X, and sometimes they try and hide the X.

  213. Of me, if you have accidentally clicked something that wasn't the X and you end up opening up more pop-ups, and you're like, oh great, shut, just throw the computer away, and it's like, I'll buy a new one.

  214. But you get to that point where you're like, X, X, X, X, X, you gotta clean up that window.

  215. And there comes a point in our life, and and Paul says this in 1 Corinthians 10 13, he says, listen, uh, there's no temptation, there's nothing that's gonna come at you that God hasn't already given you the ability to take care of.

  216. So, in other words, get ready, and it may take some diligence, but clean it up.

  217. Start Xing those things and like actually audit your your life a little bit and say, what am I thinking about?

  218. What am I setting my mindset on every day that maybe I need to X out of?

  219. What are the things that are sapping my energy?

  220. And before I even get out of bed, I'm tired.

  221. I struck a nerve, a few of them.

  222. I could feel it up here.

  223. It's like where are you starting your day?

  224. Where are you putting your attention?

  225. Set your mind on things above, not on things on this earth.

  226. And that if you set your mind on things above, then the things of this earth will grow dim in the light of who God is.

  227. You know that God isn't the God of just enough, he's the God of more than enough.

  228. That's what happens when you set your mindset on God.

  229. He's not the one who gives you a daily victory, he's the God who prepared and created and provided victory for you for eternity.

  230. He's that kind of, he's not just a king, he's the king of all kings.

  231. So when you sing these songs and I'm I'm sitting, uh I'm standing on the front row and I'm singing these songs, I'm refreshing my mindset of who God is, and I'm removing old mindsets.

  232. Oh, I thought God, yeah, that's right, I forgot.

  233. You, you know, I've had this, I've got a need, and I just only thought you were the God who takes care of colds, but not cancer.

  234. You're the God who takes care of it all for us.

  235. You provide all for us.

  236. So we feed our spirit by removing the things of the flesh.

  237. That's how you feed your spirit.

  238. You know, you get immediately stronger when you start to put away cookies and ice cream and as we have Italian sodas after this for the ladies, you know, all those things.

  239. You know what I mean.

  240. You start to not feed the flesh, you feed the spirit.

  241. Feed your spirit good things.

  242. When you feed your spirit those things, uh, it it's a good, it's a good place.

  243. So, for 2 Corinthians chapter 10, verse 3, verse 5.

    2 Corinthians 10:3

  244. I walked through our small group with this the other day.

  245. It it it's you remember Paul's talking to the Romans, and these are Romans who are like, they're soldiers, and they understand the art of war.

  246. And he says this, and listen to the language here in chapter 10, verse 3 to 5.

  247. It says, Though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.

  248. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but of divine power to destroy strongholds.

  249. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God.

  250. No, my God's not like that.

  251. No, my God's not like that.

  252. We have to destroy those arguments to say God is small.

  253. No, he's the God who gives you more.

  254. He's the God of life and not just life, but life abundant.

  255. He didn't just take care of me today, he's taking care of me for my future.

  256. He doesn't just take care of me, he takes care of my kids and my kids' kids and my kids' kids' kids.

  257. That's the promise to us.

  258. We wage war against the enemy.

  259. We take every what thought captive.

  260. That's a that's a that's a war term.

  261. We bind it.

  262. We put bounding on it.

  263. We put we bind it and we say, you know what, we're gonna take these thoughts captive to obey Christ and his word over my life.

  264. Being ready to punish, I love that piece.

  265. Not only are we gonna take the thought captive, we're gonna punish every disobedience when the obedient when uh your obedience is complete.

  266. In other words, not only do we we confront the enemy, but we celebrate who God is in the presence of the enemy, of the thought.

  267. It's war language.

  268. This week I was on a hike and uh met a fellow, and he, the first thing I'm just kind of at the top of the mountain, and we're just taking a picture, and he said, What are you grateful for today?

  269. And to be honest, I've been walking up the hill just like upset.

  270. Because you're going up a mountain and you're like, I don't like this.

  271. You know, have you ever been there?

  272. You're like, it's the mountain that makes the man kind of thing.

  273. And you're like, or the woman, you're climbing a mountain and you're feeling like, why am I you know it's probably good for you.

  274. You know you're supposed to be there, but you don't know why you're there, and you're just like, is this all nothing?

  275. And he's like, what are you grateful for?

  276. And I'm like, man, I should have come up with that.

  277. Because that's the spirit that you carry.

  278. It's not about like, it's about resetting your mindset and saying, no, I'm not gonna think about what I'm uh what is against me, I'm gonna think about who's for me and celebrate that as part of my mindset.

  279. So, what are the relationships that we need to remove?

  280. Like, like when Paul was saying wage war against the enemy, he I don't think he could say any kinder to the Romans.

  281. When the Romans went to war, they were vicious, they were they were dramatic.

  282. And you know, like I've seen parenting today, okay, go sit in the corner, time for a timeout.

  283. And there's sometimes, you know, we do things in our life and we treat some of the things that are happening in our world with little timeouts.

  284. And Paul's saying it's not worth a timeout.

  285. In fact, you need to kill it, you need to capture it.

  286. Not the child, like probably wrong analogy there, transference, but happy Mother's Day.

  287. But you've got this scenario.

  288. You've got this crazy scenario where you've got like this idea.

  289. Well, you know what?

  290. I'm uh I'm so grateful for the guys and the girls in this room who are like celebrating sobriety.

  291. Man, it's awesome.

  292. Let's give them a round of applause today.

  293. We're gonna we're gonna hear their stories.

  294. You know, you I'm sure you know who like a number of the ones we're talking about, but they're here today and they're celebrating.

  295. And I'm just like, there came a point in their life where they're like, you know what, I'm not gonna put it in time out.

  296. I'm gonna wage war against it and decide and counter it and come against it and show it that I'm a threat.

  297. I'm gonna come against it with the word of God and the power of the spirit, of God's spirit, and the authority that God has given me, and it'll never have a foothold in my life again.

  298. Amen.

  299. So we do this.

  300. We we we place our proper attention.

  301. The first thing we do is we call, we X, we X, X, X, X.

  302. We just we remove those things in our life that aren't supposed to be there.

  303. Sometimes we need friends in our life who are like able to look at your life and go, like, tell me what I gotta get rid of.

  304. Just do an audit.

  305. Friends, expenses, habits, people in your life that are like are pulling you down.

  306. You gotta do an audit.

  307. Where am I spending my time and remove those things?

  308. The second thing, renew.

  309. We remove things in order to renew them.

  310. There was a study done in 205, it's a few years old, but it was a study on our thoughts.

  311. And the average person, it was estimated that they have between uh 12,000 for like the real like introverted person to 60,000 thoughts a day.

  312. That's a lot of thoughts.

  313. 80% of your thoughts, guess what?

  314. They're negative, right?

  315. And 95% of those thoughts are about the day before, the past, things you can't even deal with anymore or do anything about.

  316. It's always easier to be negative than it is to be positive.

  317. It's always easier to put your thoughts on the flesh instead of putting them on the spirit.

  318. And we need to know that there's this renewal that needs to happen.

  319. And so Paul again says to the Romans, you this is what you have to do in Romans 12, 1 to 3.

  320. It says, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

  321. This is your true and proper worship.

  322. Worship is about the heart of worship, setting your thought, your attention on Him.

  323. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

  324. By transform by renewing your mind, it will transform you.

  325. That word transform is like from a caterpillar to a butterfly.

  326. There's transformation that's happening there.

  327. You will be transformed.

  328. Paul's talking about transforming your life.

  329. And so you begin to put your thoughts on new thoughts.

  330. You begin to renew your thoughts.

  331. And you have to go to his word, go to his uh to relationship into prayer with him, and actually start recording his thoughts towards you.

  332. One of the greatest lessons I learned and practices I learned was journaling.

  333. Actually sitting down on my own with a pen and a paper and actually asking God a question, waiting and dialoguing with him, and learning to hear his voice, and then writing down the answer.

  334. And it came to a point that I was writing and writing, writing a question, writing a response, writing a question, writing a response, until like the thoughts became fluid and it started to pour out of me, and I couldn't even keep up with writing anymore.

  335. It just became communal in relationship.

  336. We need to have that relationship with God that it becomes communal that way.

  337. Every science recognizes that your brain actually functions, your thoughts are function in this biblical precedent.

  338. Your brain, your thoughts, your mind can be mal is malleable and can be shaped.

  339. It's called neuroplasticity.

  340. That your brain, like you can actually change your mind.

  341. Some people say you can't just flip a switch.

  342. It's true, you just can't.

  343. It takes time, but it can be done.

  344. You don't have to like continue to be angry or continue to carry the emotion of your thoughts.

  345. You can still change your mind and create habits, renew your mind as you go into the world.

  346. So renew your mind every day by focusing on God's word and don't let it wander, and your life will be transformed.

  347. So, for what do we first do?

  348. We remove and then we renew.

  349. And the last thing we do, and we invite the team to come up, is we reset.

  350. Would you say reset?

  351. Reset.

  352. Reset.

  353. And this can uh be a reset season for you.

  354. How many of you know that practice doesn't make perfect?

  355. Practice makes permanent.

  356. The more you practice, the more it becomes permanent.

  357. You know that there are hiking trails, and I'm sure you've walked them, that are like beaten down and pathways that are beaten down as you walk, but you know that you can actually get off that track and actually create a new trail.

  358. It just takes time, it takes consistency, it takes uh it takes you stepping into that new track.

  359. And uh, I feel like there are people in the room today who are on that track, and you're like, Well, I've walked the trail, I've walked this new trail for like a week now.

  360. I'm like, well, okay, good start.

  361. Keep walking, keep walking, keep walking that trail.

  362. It's important that we keep moving in the direction of righteousness.

  363. And the Bible says that God actually becomes like gives you the grace that when you are weak, he becomes strong for you, and when you are you are in need, he becomes your sufficiency for you, so that you can continue walking that new walk until that becomes your trail and that becomes your marker for life.

  364. The lens of faith begins small.

  365. Jesus often said, you know, you've got small faith.

  366. And then he said, as people grew, he's like, there, your faith is beginning to grow.

  367. And then he began to talk to people.

  368. No, those of you who had small faith to start now have great faith, large faith, because you continued to put yourself in the word, continued to allow worship to form and your perspective and your posture, and continue to allow God to make a difference in your life.

  369. The more you lean into it, the more you'll discover your faith.

  370. The more that defines your thoughts, the more that will define your future and your purpose.

  371. You can't just chase the outcome.

  372. Chase the process and say, Lord, help me today to renew my mind.

  373. Help me today to have a new thought.

  374. Help me today to have your thoughts.

  375. May your spirit be in me, that my eyes see the way you see, my ears hear the way you hear, that people could be speaking evil of you, and you just hear it is praise.

  376. Honestly, that's what Psalm 23 says.

  377. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

  378. You're just eating, and there can be chaos all around you, and the Lord has prepared a place for you in the presence of your enemies.

  379. You don't have to worry.

  380. God makes a way.

  381. God makes a way.

  382. And you might be thinking to yourself, Pastor Brody, it's been like I'm like 25.

  383. How many of you have been there before?

  384. 25 was unk.

  385. It's like you were old.

  386. I'm 40, or I'm 50, or I'm 70, and I'm challenging you today.

  387. Allow God to do his work in you and be surprised at the outcome.

  388. Remove those things.

  389. Remove those things that aren't supposed to be there.

  390. Renew your mind.

  391. Place new thoughts, new patterns, new, new, build new pathways, and then allow God to reset you and put you in place for your purpose, for his plan for you and for your life.

  392. Amen.

  393. Would you stand with me?

  394. Thank you.

  395. The scripture says that it's a narrow way.

  396. Narrow way.

  397. The way is a narrow way.

  398. Few people are who find it.

  399. The world's way is this big highway.

  400. You can just stumble along, you'll get there.

  401. But God's way for you is a narrow path, and it requires change and it requires a shift in your life.

  402. And the good news is we've got a God who loves us and cares for us enough to actually walk with us through this journey.

  403. And to the mums in the room today, there's nothing more important than actually you having your relationship and your mindset on Christ, and then from that, allowing that to bless and to nourish and to bless and to be a nourishing agent to your family, to your kids, to your home, to the environment that you're in.

  404. You're pouring out from a place where you're full of because of God in you.

  405. Don't allow the world to think to tell you that you can just do it on your own, or it can feed you and you can naturally feed your family.

  406. The place where you will best feed your family is when you're connected to the source of heaven.

  407. And you can just open your heart up to God and say, Lord, fill me and allow me to pour out, Lord, pure things from you.

  408. My thought, my mindset, life and peace.

  409. Life and peace, life and peace.

  410. Everywhere I go, life and peace.

  411. Would you just say life and peace?

  412. Life and peace.

  413. That mindset on the Spirit gives life and peace.

  414. Wherever you go, doesn't matter the chaos in your home, doesn't matter the chaos on your street, doesn't matter where you are, God's way is greater.

  415. He will bring life and peace to your environment.

  416. Father, we just thank you this morning.

  417. We thank you, Lord, that you don't leave us alone.

  418. You didn't just leave us in the flesh to just manage with death.

  419. But you came to bring life and life abundantly to each and every one of us.

  420. You didn't come to save us for a day, you came to save us for eternity.

  421. And we give you thanks today, Father, for that saving grace.

  422. Just as I close, Romans 8 says that there's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

  423. In other words, it doesn't matter your history, it doesn't matter your past, God has a future for you.

  424. He has a future for you.

  425. And if you're in this room today, and perhaps you're here for the first time, and you're this is the first time you've heard a message like this, and you've been like, man, I've been walking by the flesh, trying to do it on my own, striving in my own ability, striving in my own effort.

  426. And I need the spirit to lead me and guide me and strengthen me, renew my mind, help me remove that toxic behavior and toxic thought.

  427. And I want to walk with fresh eyes today.

  428. It's going to start because of who you have with you.

  429. And so if you're here today and you've never accepted the invitation of Christ into your own life, I just want to pray with you today.

  430. And if that's you today, uh, just pray this prayer along with all of us.

  431. We're going to pray it together.

  432. Father God, thank you for your son Jesus.

  433. I confess today that I've needed your help.

  434. I confess that I'm a sinner.

  435. And today I acknowledge that Jesus is the only way.

  436. And I confess today to make him my Lord and my Savior.

  437. Fill me with your thought.

  438. Renew my mind and transform my future so that I can live into my purpose that you've purposed for me.

  439. In Jesus' name.

  440. Amen.

  441. Let's give a round of applause for all those who maybe made that decision today the first time.

  442. We've just got a moment.

  443. We're just going to worship God as we close, and then I'm going to release you.

  444. So just maybe position your heart and just thank Him for the word today.
