Thank you, worship team.

I really appreciated that song this morning about that God is saved and we've witnessed it.

How many of you have been saved and you'd bear witness?

He's healed.

And I've witnessed it.

How many of you can say that this morning?

See, we as the Christian community we have another level, don't we?

The world has their own self-help therapies.

They have medical science to turn to, but we have another level.

And that level is the great physician.

I know with Carlene's situation over the last uh 22 months, how the Lord has intervened at numerous times.

Some of you may know, but she was diagnosed with stage four uh lymphoma and then during the cancer treatment had a blackout and fell on her back and broke nine vertebrae, two ribs and sternum.

So it was quite a quite a uh quite a season for both of us to walk in and out of drawing upon God's help in the midst of all of the stuff that we're going through.

Honey, could you stand?

I just so good to have you here this morning, I know.

Thank you.

She just was not able to come and so grateful to God that on the Sunday morning she's able to fellowship with her spiritual family.

Well, last week we talked about the salvation matrix, and I told you that I was gonna continue it today.

I'm gonna do that.

Um I'm gonna fulfill my word on that.

I want to just reinforce one thing to you, and that is that when man messed up so royally through sin, God had a plan.

God is not just a rescuer from your mess to just put you in a place of zero, back to you know, a place of where you before you were before.

He's a redeemer.

He's not just a rescuer.

He takes your life that's been messed up and redeems it, restores it, renews it, empowers it, revolutionizes it, and your life is a whole lot better after having failed.

You may have failed, but you're not a failure.

You you were created to succeed.

You were created to succeed, because if God be for you, who can be against you?

You were created to have God on your side going through what you're going through.

And those who have experienced that can testify to the goodness of the Lord.

Now I'm not going to read the whole portion of scripture from uh Genesis chapter 3, but I want to take you somewhere and bring you to the point that we're at today, and then open up to you uh the book on what God has given to you graciously, that that gracious salvation that all of the angelic community marvel at in terms of his grace towards us.

Genesis 3 · chapter mention

We messed up so bad, the angels of heaven are looking at the mercy of God towards us and marveling at how good God the goodness of God is.

But in chapter three of Genesis, and many of you know about the fall, I hate to say that immediately because I know that some people just aren't biblically literate and have not had the opportunity to go through the Word of God.

So it I do it at a at my reluctantly skipping this passage to you, but there were two questions that were framed by God to humanity in Genesis chapter 3 when uh Adam and Eve sinned.

Genesis 3 · chapter mention

The first question had to do with the man.

He said, Where are you?

I want you to keep that in your mind as we go through this session this morning.

Where are you?

Talk to Adam and said, After sin, where are you now?

Do you really know what's happened and where you went?

The second uh question that emerges out of Genesis 3 is to the woman, and he says to her, What have you done?

Do you know what you have done?

So, Father, this morning, as we just kind of uh position ourselves to hear from you and to listen to what your word would say to us, and then start to delight, as Paul wrote, in this great wisdom of God that has coordinated a redemptive plan of God that we marvel at today in terms of salvation.

There is not one organization or institution in the world that can match the redeeming, redemptive power of the church, of the gospel, of the cross.

There's nowhere to go to get fixed except to you, because you created us and know how we're put together.

And so, Lord, this morning, as we just position ourselves to receive, I pray that with open hearts that we will.

In Jesus' name.

Ever since uh sin entered uh the human heart, humanity has been attempting to understand themselves.

And so within our culture, uh there's so many different fields of study: biology, psychology, philosophy, ethics, all of these, all of these sciences that are out there are aimed at trying to understand what's going on inside the human heart.

It's not just a physical thing.

They're asking the questions themselves.

Who is man?

What is man?

Where did he come from?

Where is he going?

What's happened inside of man to to and how do we fix him?

We know something significantly happened in the garden when Madam and Eve sinned and turned against God.

And I'm going to just point out a number of phrases and enlarge on it for a moment this morning.

The Bible says when they sinned, their eyes were opened.

We're not talking about physical condition, we're talking about a spiritual condition.

Their eyes, they saw something and became more aware morally and otherwise of what had transpired in their life.

Can you imagine never having sinned or never have had a feeling of anger or hurt or aloneness?

And all of a sudden the emotions of the soul are emerging, and the thoughts of the mind, maybe thoughts you never ever had before, are now piercing your thinking, and they became aware.

They became, their eyes were open to the fact that something had significantly shifted in them as a result of the act of sin.

Now I want to tell you that happens today.

We're not just gonna have to go back to the garden.

Anyone who moves into an act of sin and disobedience is going to go through that process.

Secondly, they knew they were naked.

Well, they were naked before, they knew it, but they weren't ashamed.

But now they're naked and their nakedness reveals a sense of vulnerability that they had never felt before.

Thirdly, they fastened fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.

That's what the Bible says.

In other words, they had they were self-conscious, and shame entered that was not there before.

Um, their nakedness didn't change, but the way they saw themselves did change.

And I want to tell you, ever since that day, humanity has been trying to cover up the inner ugliness without its outer beauty, dress themselves up, and has focused on the superficial and the temporal rather than the internal.

The Bible says the man and his wife hid and kept themselves hidden from the presence of the Lord.

Something shifted.

Instead of being able to walk with God in the garden and fellowship to him, they hid themselves from God, and isolation began to replace relationship, and and and that relationship to God was broken.

Not from God.

God continued to pursue humanity, but from man.

Man hid from God.

God did not hide from man.

And I want you to know that.

Get that into your spirit this morning.

God is not hiding from you, he's as close as your breath.

You turn around, he's there.

You open your eyes, he's there.

God is the divine stalker.

Okay?

He's in your life, whether you like it or want it or not.

You cannot escape his presence.

He loves you.

And the Bible goes on and says, He asks this question: where are you?

God knew where they were, but they needed to know where they were.

And this wasn't a geographical statement, it was a spiritual and a moral statement that he was asking.

Something has transpired in you.

Do you understand that?

And, you know, um Adam responded and said, uh, I was afraid and I hid myself because I was naked.

Isn't it amazing how quickly we turn to excuses to excuse our own sin and we blame it on something else other than our disobedience?

Uh you know, I hid from you because I was naked.

No, you hid from God because of your disobedience.

We don't want God to show up when we've been disobedient.

How many of you know he comes with correction and adjustment?

He does.

That's who he is.

And then he said, Who God says, Who told you that you were naked?

Well, no one had, but they both sensed a changed in their condition.

The woman, um, who told you were naked?

Uh, when the when the God asked for responsibility for taking the fruit of being disobedient, um, Adam pointed to the woman and said, It's the woman that uh you gave me uh to be with me.

Uh she's the one responsible for my failure.

Again, we don't know in this portion of scripture whether or not if Adam and Eve had actually, in a spirit of repentance, repented before God, we don't know what God would have done.

But instead, they kept on passing the buck and making excuses for their sin.

There was no repentance.

And as a result, um, what they did has transferred to us today.

You say, well, what do you mean by that?

Well, they were created in the image of God, and you know, you'll hear this often said within our culture that we're all created in the image of God.

No, we're not.

We were, in the garden, we were, but not now.

In Genesis chapter 5, it says, after man had sinned, they created in their own image.

And so something happened.

We say, well, there's that divine spark in all of us.

Oh, yeah, there is uh as you look at us, there we know the divine potential that is all inside of us and what God created us actually to be.

But sin has so perverted it and messed it up that it's hard to see true humanity.

Not what God intended.

Humanity has a serious problem.

They know that something's wrong on the inside, so the focus of salvation from God's perspective must be directed at what's gone wrong on the inside.

Because God's a redeemer, He doesn't let you just fail and stay in that state.

God has a plan, and Scripture points to the focus of salvation, and that focus of the salvation is the human heart.

The Bible defines that the human heart is the inner nature now of humanity, the source of their feelings and thoughts and emotions and decisions.

And the Bible says, out of the heart flows all of the issues of life.

So if the heart is sick, you're going to be eating, uh drinking from polluted streams.

Man's heart was not always in need of surgery, but today it is.

When God created man, he created him in his image, gave him his presence and gave him power and placed him in a prosperous place and gave him a purpose for living, touched him with his very nature, so he was God-like.

However, when man chose to sin over choosing to obey God, there was a decisive internal shift.

And now we're created uniquely, even though we're created to presence God, now we presence another spirit.

And it seems like the worst of humanity is seen.

I can't imagine today as I I watch the news, I'm sure you do too, and you hear of another another situation, another murder, another this, another that, and you go, Can humanity get any worse?

Anyone agree with me?

You understand what I'm saying?

We look at it and and and we all look for those opportunities to delight in our humanity and to see the goodness in humanity, the goodness that actually God sees and wants to get at again and restore to us.

When man sinned, the whole person was degraded.

And Genesis 5 says they created after their own fallen image, not in God's image.

So man's spirit was affected.

That part of us that communes with God, and we sort of lost connection, lost the opportunity to communicate with God.

God had to communicate with us.

God is spirit, God made you spirit, so that you could identify and relate to him, spirit to spirit.

Your soul, man's soul was damaged, and the Bible says the soul that sins shall surely die, and the soul compromises the way we think or comprises the way we think and feel and decide, and all of that was affected.

So now we're experiencing emotions and feelings and thoughts and making decisions that the Bible actually goes on and says that man from that point on began to conceive in his imagination every possible evil he could do.

Romans 1 says, Man is constantly inventing new ways to sin.

Man's body took a physical hit, and death entered where there was life.

The Bible describes the depth of depravity that has occurred.

It says, yeah, it's not an evolutionary track.

We're not getting better.

We can't in ourselves get better.

The impact of sin moves us from personal impact.

You know, when you do things wrong individually, it affects your family.

Beyond that, it affects your community.

Beyond that, it affects your city.

Upon that, it affects your.

That's why salvation has such a powerful impact on shifting a culture.

Because once dad gives his life to the Lord, he's going to be different at home.

He's going to be different at work.

He's going to be different within his community and his friendship network.

And ultimately, as I've had I have done on numerous occasions, gone to the mayor of the city and said, without the church, Kelowna would be a mess.

Because the salvation that is occurring in the city is actually saving the city.

Who else would come to church week after week and have some pastor yell at them for an hour, tell them how to live, right?

But the Bible makes it clear that evil intentions come from the heart.

Shameful desires lurk in the heart.

The heart is described as disobedient, impenitent, hard, faithless, dull, darkened, deceitful, desperately corrupt, and who can even understand the heart?

The Bible goes on and says, Oh, the walls of my heart, my heart is disquieted and throbs aloud within me.

And then God says, Who can say, I've made my heart pure and clean, that I'm pure from my sin?

Who can who can cleanse themselves?

Who can do operation surgery on their heart by themselves?

Now I know there's all kinds of self-help out there, but I want to tell you it's not God help.

You might end up with self-worth, but you're not going to end up with God worth.

No one can understand the heart.

Only the one who created it.

That internal nature of God that he put inside.

God spoke, though, of a day when he would be redemptive.

The Bible says he talked to the prophets and said, There's going to be time that I'm going to restore your heart.

I'm going to heal the heart.

I'm going to heal the brokenhearted.

In one of the trans uh one of the scriptures in Isaiah, he says, um, he said that when God would be with him who is of a thoroughly penitent and humble spirit to revive the spirit of the humble and to revive the heart of the penitent.

Jeremiah, he says, I will give them a heart to know me and to understand me that I'm the Lord, and they'll be my people, and I'll be their God, and they'll return to me with their whole heart.

In another, and Ezekiel he says, I'll give them one heart, a new heart, and I'll put a new spirit inside of them, and I will take the stony heart of flesh, and will give them a heart that is responsive to God.

David understood that years and years ago.

And he he was a man who loved God.

Matter of fact, God chose him because he was a man after God's own heart.

You can't be that much closer than that.

Sat up there, shepherded the flocks, created songs of worship and praise to God.

And yet David did some terrible things.

You know the story of David, but he manipulated a murder after trying trying to cover up his adultery.

That's pretty significant.

There are two biggies there, right?

All right?

And the Bible says in Psalm 51, he understood it.

He missed, he made a mess.

And he goes on in Psalm 51, he says, Create in me a clean heart, create a Genesis week in the midst of my chaos, open up the door for a fresh start.

God, that word create in the Hebrew is berah, and it means bring into existence something inside of me that was not there before.

This is not this is not awakening you in a nurse, in a way, so you can be a better you by your own better works.

You cannot become a Christian in power.

You cannot get a new heart by deciding that positively I have a new heart and say that to yourself every day.

David understood it.

He said, Create in me a clean heart, oh God.

Restore a right spirit within me.

He understanding that what's gone wrong is internal, deeply inside of him.

Man's got to submit to outside help, or they will die.

It's just like the hard heart that I talked about last Sunday that refuses the impulse of an electrical thing to keep it alive.

That pacemaker.

When the heart gets so hardened it dies.

The Apostle Paul alluded to the same struggle that David was talking about in Romans chapter 7.

Romans 7 · chapter mention

He says, I don't understand my own actions.

I'm baffled and bewildered.

I do not practice what I want to do, but I'm doing the very thing I hate, and I'm yielding to human nature, my wilderness, my sinful capacity.

I'm yielding to that.

The things I don't want to do, I do.

And the things that I don't want to do, I mean the things I do want to do, I can't do.

There's something wrong on the inside.

Anybody understand that about humanity?

Have you ever asked that question about yourself?

Now, that is not, by the way, some Christian um theologians would would refer to that to being the the the status of the Christian even at this point in time.

It's not.

He's speaking of himself before he was a Christian.

Now you have have changed.

On the inside, and we'll talk about that in a moment, but you have the power to do what you know is right to do.

I mean, who needs that to be a Christian to become into a place where, okay, I give my life to you, Jesus, and now I don't the things I don't want to do, I do, and the things I I want to do, I can't do.

Great, I'm worse off.

I'll just stay the way I am.

I was a good sinner.

At least I was 100% committed to doing my thing.

I knew what I was doing and I could do it good.

Hello?

No, this this Paul was referring to the fact that there's something again wrong on the inside.

And he writes, while we're yet in our weakness, our inability, powerless to help ourselves, at the fitting time, Christ died for the ungodly.

Jesus understood this.

And it was the core to his mission when he spoke.

And we refer to it as being born again.

In John chapter 3, Jesus goes out and he says, unless a person is born from above, it's not possible to see what I'm pointing to.

John 3 · chapter mention

How can anyone be born, Nicodemus says, who has already been born and grown up?

You can't re-enter your mother's womb and be born again.

What are you saying about this born from above talk?

Jesus responded, you're not listening.

Let me say it again.

Unless a person submits to this original creation, original creation, this new creation.

Unless you submit to it, this the invisible moving upon the visible, a baptism into new life, it is not possible for you to see God.

When you look at a baby, it's just that a body you can look at and touch.

But the person who takes shape within us is formed by something you cannot see and touch, the spirit, and it becomes a living spirit.

What he begins to go on and say is that you may not understand what transpired to you in your life immediately when you said, Jesus, come into my life.

But he said, the spirit blows like a wind.

And we don't see the wind, but we see the effect of the wind.

We know something's transpiring.

So as soon as you give your life to Jesus Christ and are born again, you may not see the immediate effects of it, but you're gonna start, you may not know what exactly transpired, but there's gonna be a moving, there's gonna be a breath of God, there's gonna be a wind of heaven that starts flowing in your life, and you're gonna see the effects of that experience, that moment in time when you gave your life to the Lord.

And when the changes start occurring and you start to see the things moving, just begin to look back and say, Thank you, Lord.

You did something phenomenal in my life.

Amen.

Okay.

So, like the wind blowing, you may not know where it comes from and where it's going, but you will see the effects of the wind.

And that's what Jesus was saying here.

Like the wind, your breath when you repented of your sins and confessed, Jesus is your Lord, may not have released a significant experience, but over time you will see the effects of that decision happening every single day of your life.

And you'll go, hey, uh, I never plan to quit smoking.

I I don't know what I don't want to swear anymore.

Uh I don't know.

I I love people instead of hate them now.

Uh I don't know.

I'm even praying for politicians.

You know, you'll take a look at your life and go, something shifted, something's happened, and I'm grateful to God.

Oh, I'm I'm grateful.

It's what I wanted to see in my life but couldn't do on my own.

And it seems to be so easy.

Why is it easy?

Because you're actually starting to act normal.

Let me say it again.

It's gonna be easier now in your Christianity because the way you were before, you fought internally against it, but now something changed.

It's called your heart, the very center of the image of God in you, that's shifted, and now you really want to do it.

It's so it's easy.

Now, I'm not saying that the Christian life is easy.

There's a spiritual, there's spiritual warfare involved in here.

The enemy still wants to keep get a hold of your life and drag you back to where you were.

No question about that.

There's a battle that goes on here.

But the Bible says we're more than conquerors through Christ, who loved us and gave his life for us.

Amen.

So we we we're not afraid of the battle.

But there is a battle.

Remember, I talked last Sunday about the violent taking the kingdom by force, and that word violent meaning the the birth canal where where the baby enters into the from the womb into the birth canal, that matrix, and that baby wants to be born.

And there's pressure, and there's actually violence.

Sometimes there's tearing when the baby is born and breaks forth into a new world.

Yeah, there's pressure.

Yeah, there's challenges, but hey, it's easier being who you actually are rather than living your life trying to be something you're not.

Does that make sense?

So Paul writes, and he looks at it, and he's saying the same thing that the prophets said and Jesus said, and all of these people were talking about.

David said, He says, if any person is in Christ, they are a new creation.

Now, the word creation there is the word species.

You're a new species.

You ever heard of the walking dead?

Ever met a walking dead?

Now we got some real visuals that come to our mind when I bring up the concept walking dead.

But hey, the fact of the matter is if you don't know Jesus, you're walking dead.

You're dead in your sins, and you don't have hope.

It's not going to get better for you.

Your soul may be alive, but you're spiritually dead.

Your mind is darkened, your emotions have been messed up, your will is in a mess.

When you give your life to Christ, life comes into you.

And you become spiritually awakened and spiritually alive.

And all of a sudden you're going, man, how come I didn't know this before?

All of a sudden your thinking is clearing up, your emotions are clearing up, your decisions are changing.

It's all a result of what Paul talks about as the new creation.

Old things pass away and all things become new.

Did you hear that?

All things become new.

Why is all things become new?

Because listen, you can clean yourself up on the outside and not do bad things, but you can't change the motivation of your heart.

Well, why don't people steal from banks?

Well, they're afraid to get caught.

Well, if you could go and steal from a bank and get all the money you want and you're not going to get caught and there's no accountability, would you?

See, that has to do with the motivation of the heart.

Jesus was not just trying to clean up the outside of you, he's cleaning up the inside that makes the outside different.

Salvation is an internal thing.

It's not how you look on the outside, it's how you look on the inside.

And God, in this salvation experience, was doing what he did with Adam in the creation of Adam and Eve.

He's now recreating.

Now, in the not in the image of God, Genesis chapter 1, now you're being recreated in the image of Christ and being conformed to the image of the Son, so you can get a visual of what it actually looks like to be a Christian when you look at Jesus.

Are you hearing me?

You're an original formation.

He saved us not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of his rich mercy.

By the cleansing bath of the new birth and the renewing of the Spirit which he poured out so richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.

Phenomenal.

You say, oh God, why would you bother with a rebel?

Why would you bother with someone that hated you?

Why do you keep on loving me when I despise you and I take your name in vain?

Come on, why do you do that?

It's because I love you more than you hate me.

I love you more than you hate me.

My grace is deeper than your sin.

I love getting involved in people's lives and rescuing them from a mess and making them a message.

Salvation by grace.

Put on the new and don't take it off.

Well, what is the new?

So let me tell you what transformed, okay?

As a result of one act of giving your life to Christ, I want to tell you what happened.

Is that okay?

And we might be here until it's three o'clock this afternoon.

I'm gonna try to work through this as hard as I can and quickly as I can.

Listen, God gave you a new heart.

He gave you a new nature.

You are now, the Bible says, a partaker of his divine nature.

You go, what does that mean?

It means that the potential to become God like is in you.

The potential for godliness is in you to become more and more like Jesus and less and less of the old Dave.

There was a day that David Calaman died, became a new creation, and the new began.

And I have all of the potential to become like his son, Jesus Christ, because I'm a partaker of his divine nature.

Hello.

You can say hallelujah for that if you want to.

He not only gave you a new heart, he gave you a new start, right?

The old has passed away.

Do you understand that when you are giving your life to Christ?

Do you understand the power of that?

I don't want my old life.

Do you want not want it bad enough to make a shift?

If you don't want it bad enough, it's like the baby going, I don't want to be out of this womb.

I'm gonna stay in here until I'm 20.

You need to want this.

You need to say, I've messed up so bad, I can't put the pieces back together again.

And when you make that decision in your heart that way, God shifts some things, okay?

He gives you a new start, and the old passes away, and today you are born anew, and now you can be recreated in the image of God.

Every day from that point on.

Just like as a baby when you were born and you learn things every day.

There was growth, there was development in your life.

Well, that's the same thing.

When you give your life to Christ, it's you start as a babe, but you start growing.

Secondly, you're under new leadership called the Lord.

The Lord, not just your Savior, Lord.

Meaning this, that God now has some control.

The enemy before had control through sin, but now God has control.

Thank you.

I'm crying again.

But God has control.

The Lordship of Jesus.

When the enemy comes to take you out, you're not standing alone.

You got the Lord with you.

You got the Lord with you.

He's standing right with you.

You have authority over what's coming against you.

Right?

And it's not because of you and how great you are, it's how great He is and the relations you've got, relationship you have with Him.

You have a new power over sin.

You don't have to sin anymore.

Say that to yourself, right?

I don't have to sin.

Matter of fact, God has given you the power to be godly and to say no to sin.

I love that power.

Do you love that power?

Like you need to understand the power that is inside of you to say no to stuff that will be self-destructive.

You said, Well, man, I used to say no, and then the next day I was out doing it.

I was addicted.

Yeah, but the power of addiction over your life has been broken in Christ.

And now you're addicted to one thing, and that's Jesus and his authority in your life.

Hallelujah.

So that that idea of having power over sin is there.

You've entered into a new kingdom, just like that babe has entered into a new world when it's born.

You've entered into a new kingdom.

You may not know what church looks like.

And oh Lord Jesus, help us to build your church.

And the way you see your church being built, and the way church should be.

This should be a touch of heaven for you.

This should be a sense of what heaven is like when people hang out.

When they walk through these doors in fellowship together, you're entering from the kingdom of this world into the kingdom of heaven.

And listen, heaven shouldn't be a culture shock to you when you get there.

Whoa! It should be an expression of who we are.

We love one another, we exhort each other, we care about each other, we pray for each.

Hello.

That's the dynamic.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

So you've entered into a new kingdom.

Don't keep living in the old kingdom.

Oh, yeah, I'm in the world, but I'm not of it.

I'm an ambassador to the world from another heavenly kingdom.

I come to represent the kingdom of heaven to my world.

Preach it, Pastor Dave.

That's really good.

Okay.

Hallelujah.

You don't encourage me, I'll encourage myself in the Lord.

But you've got a new father.

Jesus said, You are of your father, the devil, when he talked to the religious folk of his day.

We don't all have the same father.

Jesus said, You're of the your father, the devil.

In other words, there you you you changed father.

And now when you gave your life to Christ, you became a son of the father, and now you cry out, Abba, Father, Dad, Dad.

I got a relationship to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, my Heavenly Father.

You've got a different father.

It doesn't matter about your past and what has been put into your life through many different sources and the impact of genealogy and all that.

No, you've got a new DNA.

It's not about gender, it's not about race, it's not about that.

In Christ, we're all one.

We're all brothers and sisters.

And we're our His blood is now in us.

We have the same DNA operating in our lives.

That's why we call each other brothers and sisters.

We don't go back to the old Adam.

We go back to the last Adam called Jesus.

He's the source of our life and the source of our DNA.

Hallelujah.

Got a new family.

You may not have had one before, but you got one.

Hey, good, bad, and ugly in this family.

We're gonna try our very, very best to be a family of brothers and sisters that cares.

And we're we're we've got a new constitution.

A new constitution, meaning that, you know, like I'm I'm part of Canada.

I'm part of the, you know, I value the Canadian Charter.

How many of you know the Canadian Charter has been under attack and been changing all kinds of times?

But this word will never pass away.

The constitution of the word of God, it remains solid.

It remain so I have a new constitution that rules me.

Yes, I'm in Canada as a Canadian, I recognize the power of the of the charter.

But in Christ, I recognize the constitution of the word of God.

New citizenship.

New citizens.

You got a new passport, guys.

This passport gives you access to heaven.

What passport are you gonna take out?

I got a couple.

Okay?

You've got a new friendship network of people who love you, a new set of laws that are there to help guide you.

You have a new lifestyle that's now emerging into your life, and and and we begin to start functioning together like we didn't in the world.

It's called community.

The koi and neah fellowship of God, where hey, we care about each other.

The Bible says in the early days when they gave their life to Christ, the company of believers was of one heart and soul, and not one of them claimed that anything belonged to them exclusively, but everybody held the common property and one for all and all for one.

It's called the body of Christ.

Not one of you is an independent member of this body.

I don't have any independent members.

We're all synced together.

You suffer, I suffer.

You're exalted, I'm exalted.

You're favored and blessed, I'm favored and blessed.

We feel it together.

We are an organism, not just an organization.

Hallelujah.

You see, there was a death in our family.

The Bible that you may have in your hand, I know most of us it's digital, has a New Testament and an Old Testament.

The Old and New Testament actually was, we would call it the testament and will of God.

It's the last testament and the will of God.

When someone dies in your family, you may go to a meeting together with the lawyer, and the lawyer begins to expose and tell you everything that's left to you is called the inheritance.

And to be in that inheritance, you have to be a member of the family.

And the will that he reads, he sits out and said, This is what has been left to you.

Do you understand that every time you come to church, you're coming to the and listen to the reading of the will?

Oh, let me say it again.

Do you know that every time you come to church, you're here to listen to the reading of the will?

Because there's been a death in our family.

Who died?

Jesus died and opened up the New Testament in his blood, and you have the right of access as an heir of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ to everything in the will.

That's why it's so important for you to read the will.

Do you know in Canada, every year, like there's billions of dollars that are that have to go back to the government because no one shows up as a as uh an heir to receive what is rightfully theirs?

It just goes into I don't know what the word the term is, but it's it's lost to you.

How many how many Christians attend church on Sunday morning and don't know what's in the will?

They don't read it, they don't discern what God has left them.

I want to tell you, it's amazing the privileges.

And the Bible says it's his delight to give you the kingdom.

Can you imagine that?

He says, here's the deal, guys.

You give me your life with all your mess and sin and corruption and stuff that's gone on, that's the dysfunctionality.

Just give it to me, and I'm gonna give you me.

You give me everything you have, and I'll give you everything I have.

I mean, I I don't gamble, but that's a great gamble.

That's a great trade off, right?

Isn't that a great trade off?

To say, God, here's my mess, and you're gonna take it?

What are you gonna do with it?

Ah, just let me take it, I'll rebuild.

But everything I've done has failed.

That's okay.

I'll teach you how to succeed.

See, this is salvation, this is the multifold wisdom of God, the Beginning to manifest itself all throughout our life.

And so we look at it and we go, God, there's a new morality and a code of ethics.

And it's not just Ten Commandments, it's the commandments of the heart.

It's the inner motivation that God shifts and changes.

We don't just love because we're commanded to, and I have to love you.

We're commanded to love, but God gives us the heart and desire to love on the inside to match the law on the outside.

So it's the law came through Moses, but grace, the power of God to do it, and truth comes through Christ.

Hallelujah.

I'm preaching myself excited today anyway.

Okay?

When man was in the garden, they lost the presence of God.

Now we re-presence the Christ because Christ came into us.

And man was in the garden, he lost his provision, and the world began to fight him.

But the Bible makes it clear that when we come into Christ, God, there's a new provision for our life.

Give.

Pressed down, shaken together, running over.

Come on, God has the ability to restore you.

The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow, and no amount of work on your behalf can increase the blessing.

Can you even match that?

We're his workmanship, recreated in Christ.

We have a new purpose in life.

A new monetary system, that's for sure.

I've always made more than I've received.

I get a paycheck like you get a paycheck all my life.

I always got more than I ever was given.

Why?

And you'd sit back at the end of the month and say, How did we do it?

How did we do it?

The Bible says if you don't withhold the tithe and you bring it into the storehouse, I'll open up the windows of heaven and I'll pour out on you blessing that'll be not enough room for you to even sustain it.

Well, have you checked that out yet?

Have you read, had you read the will of what God said He'll do if you do that?

Love you.

It's a new language that God gives us.

We start to talk differently.

Paul writes, don't let any unwholesome, foul, profane, worthless, vulgar word come out of your mouth, but only speech that is good for building others up according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear you talk.

All of a sudden, God cleans up your talk.

He's working on that every day.

The old man, David Caluman, is dying off every single day.

Pretty soon there's not gonna be anything left of me.

But the new man, being reborn in Christ, is moving into something.

Well, you're gonna have a hard time recognizing me.

It'll take God to help you recognize me.

New worldview.

Can't be a friend of this world system and be a friend of God.

So a Christian worldview starts happening in you, and you start seeing differently.

You start thinking differently, you start feeling differently.

All of that is a result of the working of the Holy Spirit in you and your willingness to put off the old and put on the new.

The salvation matrix is basically all about passing from death to life.

If you stay where you are, you'll die.

I don't mean this to be irreverent, but with the baby said, I'm not gonna be born, I'm staying right where I am, you may die.

Staying right where you are, you're gonna die.

Unless you enter the matrix, unless you enter into salvation, you'll die in your sins.

If you give your life to Christ, you'll live.

You'll move from your past to your future.

You'll move from one kingdom to another, from one manager of your life to another, from slavery to freedom, from powerlessness to authority, from one nature to another, from one blood background and DNA to another DNA, from one family to another, from one form of communication to another.

Listen, I'm talking about you haven't yet explored everything.

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, all that God has in store for those who love Him.

It hasn't even entered into your mind.

Your imagination is great, but it's not big enough to sustain what God can do.

So I'll end with this.

There's an in two interesting scriptures that are uh are shared, and I'm coming from the the translation, the weast translation in scripture.

I don't know if you go on Bible uh you know gateway and you take a look at all of the translations and compare them.

It's a wonderful study when you're looking through the Word of God.

In Colossians chapter 3, verse 9, the Weis translation says the person you were before you were saved is dead and gone.

Colossians 3:9

Can you say that with me this morning?

The person I was before I was saved is dead and gone.

Do you miss them?

You miss them?

You want them back?

We're translation says the person I was before I was saved is dead and gone.

I don't want them back.

Another translation from Romans chapter 12, verse 2 from the Weast translation says, now this.

Romans 12:2

Now stop assuming an outward expression that does not come from within you and is not representative of what you are in your inner being.

Okay, you're a Christian now.

Don't hide it, don't hide it.

Don't try to be like you were, try to be like God's wanting you to be.

Turn the leaf.

Invite that new heart, that new creation, power.

Put off the old man, put on the new.

See what God can do.

And everybody around you will go, what on earth happened to them?

They actually, are you a Christian?

Why are you asking?

Well, because you're acting like Jesus.

And is not representative of what you are in your inner being.

Something changed and shifted.

Do you know?

Have you read it?

You're beginning to get an insight into all this stuff that's shifted and is shifting in your life right now.

Don't go back to the way you used to live.

Walk into the house and then explore the whole home.

Get into the church and explore the depth of the church of Jesus Christ.

Get into Christ and understand the sovereign way in which God can work in your life and shift you like nobody else can.

No other system, no other philosophy, no other self-help.

Only Christ can deal with the heart.

And you've got to enter the salvation matrix to get the new heart.

Father, today, we just want to say thank you.

You've saved us and we've witnessed it.

You've forgiven us and we've witnessed it.

You've healed us and we've witnessed it.

You've loved us and we've witnessed it.

You've protected us and we've witnessed it.

You've fought on our behalf and we've witnessed it.

We don't want to go back.

We want to go forward.

So, Holy Spirit, come and bring a revelation of what it means to be saved.

Pour that salvation out over us as a congregation and let us rise up to the highest levels of what salvation is.

We've been redeemed, we've been anointed, we've been transformed, we've been revolutionized.

Hallelujah.

There's no one like you.

That's why we worship you.

Because we remember who we were and what we're becoming because of Christ.

Not because of who we are, but because of who you are in us.

And we say thank you, Lord.

Everyone say, Thank you, Lord.

Come on, everyone say.
