Sermon
The Church on fire with the Holy Ghost

-
I'm going to be reading today out of the book of Matthew 3 and verse 11,
-
and then also in the book of Acts chapter 1. Amen.
Acts 1 chapter mention
-
We are excited for what God is doing in our church.
-
We're looking forward to everything that God is preparing for us.
-
And if we can continue to open our hearts and our minds
-
to what God is doing in our church,
-
I believe that the best is yet to come
-
because God has more in store for us.
-
Amen, somebody.
-
I said God has more in store for us.
-
Amen.
-
This past week, you may have received a letter from me.
-
If you have not an opportunity to read it,
-
I encourage you to please read it in there.
-
We lay out the vision for this coming year and the theme
-
along with a lot of other pertinent information.
-
But right now we're going to be reading out of this verse.
-
This month is all going to be about the vision that God has for this church.
-
The Word of God reads as follows.
-
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance,
-
but he that cometh after me is mightier than I,
-
whose shoes I am not worthy to bear.
-
He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and fire.
-
Acts chapter one and verse eight reads this way,
-
but ye shall receive power.
-
Someone say power.
-
After that, the Holy Ghost is come upon you.
-
Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea
-
and in Samaria and unto the uttermost heart of the earth.
-
Amen.
-
The vision for 2025, the theme is revival.
-
Someone say revival.
-
The church on fire.
-
Why don't we clap our hands unto the Lord right now.
-
Amen.
-
The church on fire.
-
And today I'm going to preach on this thought,
-
the church on fire with the Holy Ghost.
-
Let us pray.
-
Father, we love you today.
-
We thank you God for your presence that is in this house.
-
We did not come to have just an ordinary service,
-
to just have an ordinary time, God,
-
but we have come with an expectation to see your glory.
-
We want something extraordinary.
-
We want you to breathe on us today.
-
We want you God to illuminate our hearts and our minds.
-
We want you God to unite us, Father,
-
and most importantly to set ablaze the people of God today,
-
God, with the vision, with the power, God,
-
with the purpose and the mission that you have for your church,
-
God.
-
I pray, Father, that more than a sermon would be delivered,
-
but your Holy Word, your vision, God,
-
implanted in all of our hearts, God,
-
so that we can run with passion and purpose, God.
-
I pray, Father, for a fresh anointing,
-
Yalavamayah Shandalah,
-
for a fresh anointing, God,
-
to fall on your people today, God,
-
to fall on City Light Church,
-
to fall on Mountain View, God.
-
I pray in the name of Jesus, Lord,
-
have your way, God,
-
in our midst today, Lord.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Oh, thank you, Jesus.
-
Come on, why don't somebody just begin to worship the Lord
-
for a few more moments.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Thank you, God, for what you're going to do.
-
In the name of Jesus, we pray.
-
Somebody say amen.
-
Amen.
-
You can be seated in God's presence.
-
Every year, thousands of people from around the globe
-
flock to the Nevada desert
-
for something called the Burning Man Festival.
-
And these people call themselves burners.
-
And they come together for one purpose,
-
to witness a massive wooden statue set ablaze
-
in the middle of the desert,
-
a spectacle that is supposed to symbolize their creativity,
-
their community, and their passion.
-
Now, this is a godless gathering,
-
but when I heard about this some time ago,
-
it really struck me,
-
thinking about how all of these people
-
from all walks of life,
-
from every corner of the globe,
-
come together for a special time in the desert
-
to watch something burn in their midst.
-
They travel thousands of miles spending time, money,
-
energy, and effort, taking time off of work,
-
leaving home, doing all that is necessary
-
to gather themselves in the middle of the desert
-
just to view this burning spectacle.
-
And there's much debauchery that takes place during that week
-
and all kinds of promiscuous behavior and drinking.
-
It's just really one big sin party, if you ask me.
-
But the fact that people would be willing
-
to devote themselves to this thing and gather for this,
-
it just, to me, it strikes a chord.
-
It strikes a chord in me
-
because there is a bit of holy, righteous jealousy
-
that rises up in my spirit.
-
Because I begin to think about how,
-
if all of these people from different walks of life
-
are willing to come together for this sacrilegious,
-
this irreligious or secular purpose
-
to watch this burning spectacle,
-
it makes me think about the potential
-
that a people could have
-
that are united by a greater purpose.
-
And it begs the question today,
-
if a man-made fire can draw a crowd of people
-
and spread debauchery and godless ideas,
-
I wonder what could happen if a believer or the church
-
could come together and catch fire with the Holy Ghost.
-
Amen.
-
I wonder what could happen if a group of sanctified people
-
with a holy purpose and a god purpose,
-
unlike those that gather in the desert
-
with all the investment that they make of their time
-
and their energy for no purpose at all,
-
really could do that.
-
How much more could happen
-
if the people of God would allow what happened in the Bible
-
to happen to us?
-
Acts chapter 2 tells us that when the early church caught fire,
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
that people from every nation were there.
-
They were there for the celebration of the Pentecost.
-
And they were all there to witness
-
this phenomenal event that took place.
-
And they were all there unsuspecting even though,
-
but they found themselves sitting front row
-
at something that would forever shake
-
the foundation of the world.
-
What they came to find out that day
-
was that prophecy had been fulfilled,
-
that on that special day, on the day of Pentecost,
-
fire from on high fell and engulfed spiritually
-
a group of seeking disciples praying in the upper room.
-
And that fire did not just burn for a moment.
-
It was not a campfire.
-
It was not a spectacle like the one that occurs there
-
in the Nevada desert that burns for a while
-
and then is extinguished at some point.
-
But the fire that fell on that day 2,000 years ago
-
at Pentecost, my dear friend, this afternoon,
-
church, if you would preach with me here this afternoon,
-
that same fire is still burning in the year 2025.
-
Somebody clap your hands if you believe
-
what I am preaching here today.
-
The Bible records this in Acts chapter two and verse one.
-
When the day, and when the day of Pentecost was fully come,
-
they were all with one accord in one place.
-
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven
-
as of a mighty or a rushing mighty wind.
-
And it filled the house where they were sitting.
-
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire.
-
Someone say fire.
-
And it sat upon each of them
-
and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost.
-
And they began to speak with of their tongues
-
as the Spirit gave them the utterance.
-
And as we reflect upon this momentous occasion,
-
the birth date of the church,
-
as we think about in this moment how significant it was
-
that the gathering of these people were there
-
and the Spirit descended like fire.
-
And how these group of 120 people
-
would launch out from that upper room
-
and literally and spiritually turn their world upside down
-
for Jesus Christ.
-
As we think about how a group of mostly uneducated
-
and untrained people without any pedigree or background
-
would allow the Spirit of God to consume them so much so
-
that they would go to the uttermost parts of the earth,
-
spreading revival fire
-
and preaching about the name of Jesus Christ.
-
As we think about how powerful it must have been
-
for a group like that to go forth
-
and preach boldly the kingdom of God in that generation.
-
And how that same God is looking across the landscape
-
of the religious and the church world today.
-
And I dare say he's looking at City Light Church today
-
and he, that same God wants to know
-
if he can fire baptize somebody once again
-
with that same Holy Ghost.
-
My God, I feel like preaching here this afternoon.
-
That same fire from on high.
-
I wonder if there's somebody here today
-
that would let that fire burn in your spirit,
-
burn in your heart, burn in your soul.
-
Somebody ought to magnify the name of Jesus this afternoon.
-
God is looking for apostolic burners,
-
men and women of every age and background
-
who are willing to catch fire.
-
You see, God doesn't care what your name is.
-
God doesn't care what street you grew up on.
-
God doesn't care what school or what college you attended.
-
God doesn't care how much money you have
-
in your bank account.
-
God doesn't care who you know in this world.
-
God doesn't care what kind of car you drive
-
and what kind of name brands are on your clothes.
-
God doesn't care about any of that.
-
God doesn't care about how socially connected you are.
-
God doesn't care about how politically connected you are.
-
All that God cares about is are you humbled
-
and willing enough to allow his spirit to baptize you?
-
Because let me tell you,
-
as sure as I am standing behind this pulpit today,
-
that God can raise up anybody.
-
I wish I had a witness in the house of God.
-
I said that God can raise up anybody
-
and fill them with the Holy Ghost fire
-
and use them to turn this world upside down.
-
I did not come today to tickle your ear, church.
-
I might offend you at least once or twice
-
before this service is over,
-
but trust me, it's the Holy Ghost, it's not me.
-
I didn't come here to warm you up.
-
I didn't come here to make you feel good
-
to tickle your funny bone.
-
I didn't come here to entertain you
-
and to give you some kind of religious performance.
-
I came here as the man of God.
-
And if you believe it like you're supposed to,
-
you're man of God to tell you
-
that what God wants to do in this hour
-
is bigger than yourself.
-
What God wants to do in this hour
-
is bigger than your emotions,
-
is bigger than who you are.
-
What God wants to do in this hour
-
is something so mind blowing and so powerful.
-
He wants to turn this city of Mountain View upside down.
-
He wants to turn your world and your family
-
and your community and your home
-
and your relationships and your friends
-
and your coworker and your business upside down.
-
But he's looking for some burners.
-
He's looking for some burners.
-
I wonder, can God burn you today?
-
You say, oh, we get so excited about the burn.
-
Well, the burning also hurts sometimes.
-
If you don't believe me,
-
just go touch the fireplace next time.
-
I'll tell you that, it's hot, it burns.
-
It burns, it sure does.
-
And you need to ask yourself,
-
you need to come into a place,
-
we're starting a new year, amen.
-
Praise God for that.
-
But it's just gonna be another day on the calendar
-
if we don't ask ourselves these important questions
-
like God, what is it that you wanna do with my life?
-
You need to ask yourself
-
why you're a member of City Light Church.
-
To my recollection, no one forced you to be here.
-
So why are you here?
-
What is your purpose?
-
Why did God place you in City Light Church?
-
For what purpose?
-
Is it just to come to church?
-
Is it just to sing a song?
-
Is it just to clap your hands?
-
Or did God put you in City Light Church?
-
Someone say City Light Church.
-
Did God put you in City Light Church
-
so that you can help City Light Church
-
reach the world and our community?
-
Did God put you in this place
-
so that you can reach people?
-
And if that's what you wanna do,
-
then you're in the right church with the right God.
-
If you're a member of this church,
-
don't just be another member of the church.
-
Be a burner.
-
Be somebody that God,
-
I feel something in the Holy Ghost today.
-
Be somebody that God can consume with Holy Ghost fire.
-
Holy Ghost fire.
-
Yeah.
-
Yeah.
-
Ask yourself, how am I gonna help my church grow this year?
-
How am I, what fire am I going to spread in my life?
-
How many souls am I gonna bring to Christ this year?
-
How many, who am I gonna talk to about Jesus this year?
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
The Holy Ghost wants to break out
-
and he's looking for somebody today.
-
He's looking for you.
-
Can I tell you something?
-
Everyone needs Holy Ghost revival.
-
I said, everyone needs it.
-
We all need Holy Ghost revival.
-
We need it.
-
The church needs Holy Ghost revival.
-
Mountain View needs Holy Ghost revival.
-
The Bay Area, our families, this nation
-
needs Holy Ghost revival.
-
Our friends need Holy Ghost revival.
-
Our neighbors need, we all need a Holy Ghost revival.
-
And I wonder if you would hear me today.
-
Please don't just listen to the sermon.
-
Don't just watch me preach today.
-
You need to hear what the say of the Lord.
-
You need to hear what God is saying.
-
God said, I want to burn.
-
I wanna send my fire.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
Can somebody just help me worship the Lord today?
-
Oh, hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
Does anybody want more of that fire?
-
Does anybody want more of that fire, the burden you're lying?
-
Come on, why don't you lift your voice?
-
Why don't you lift your voice and worship?
-
Hallelujah.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
I want you to mark your calendar's church.
-
We're having two Holy Ghost revivals
-
right here in this church.
-
February 21st to the 22nd
-
and November 14th through the 16th.
-
I want you to mark these days down.
-
I've already been, I communicated it in the letter.
-
You're gonna keep hearing about it.
-
We've got one coming right up in February.
-
A three day Holy Ghost revival.
-
I have been praying for years.
-
I have been asking God for a long time
-
for him to touch the hearts of our landlords
-
so that they might permit us
-
to have an extended event here on the weekend.
-
And finally, I wanna report and thank God
-
that God has touched their hearts
-
and he has opened the doors for us
-
to have a weekend revival right here.
-
Come on, somebody ought to thank the Lord for that.
-
Thank you, Jesus, hallelujah.
-
And many of you have been praying
-
for the same type of thing.
-
And we're gonna have one here
-
and it's gonna be three days.
-
And we're gonna be in the Holy Ghost.
-
We're gonna be praying, we're gonna be fasting.
-
And we're gonna have a revival that's come
-
and we're gonna get into the presence of God.
-
And I'm gonna want you to invite somebody.
-
Bring your neighbor, bring your long lost friend.
-
Can I tell you something?
-
God is moving among the prodigals.
-
God is moving among our loss and our unsafe family members.
-
This day I have to testify for what the Lord is doing
-
because this day, hundreds of miles away
-
in the city of Phoenix, a first cousin of mine
-
who was dedicated to the Lord in an apostolic church
-
and was brought up in the apostolic ways,
-
chose at an early age not to serve the Lord
-
and went his own way.
-
But for over 30 years, my family and I,
-
my cousins and everybody who was brought up the same way
-
had been praying for my cousin
-
that one day he would give his life to Jesus.
-
I'm talking over 30 years, praying and believing.
-
I gotta admit to you, there were times
-
where I wondered if he would ever get it through his mind
-
and he would ever.
-
But I've come to report to you today
-
that my wife and I, some of my family here today,
-
we were watching in live stream
-
at Phoenix First Apostolic Church
-
as my cousin Abraham Acosta was baptized in the name of.
-
Jesus Christ for the remission of his sin.
-
I've come to tell you today church,
-
God is stirring up an anti-revival
-
and he's looking at you and me and saying,
-
who's gonna burn for me?
-
Come on somebody give God a praise.
-
How many of you got family members that need to be saved?
-
I said, how many of you got family members
-
that need to be saved?
-
This is their year to get saved.
-
How many of you believe that this year God can save
-
one of your family members and baptize them in Jesus name?
-
Yes!
-
Yeah!
-
Yeah!
-
Yeah!
-
Yeah!
-
Yeah!
-
It starts with our families.
-
It starts with our children.
-
It starts with our home.
-
It starts with our siblings.
-
It starts with those who may even have been baptized
-
but have gone astray.
-
God's bringing them back.
-
And he can bring them back anywhere.
-
Would I like for them to bring them back
-
to City Light Church?
-
Of course, because I wanna fill up this trip.
-
But even if they get baptized in another church,
-
hey, we can rejoice even if it happens somewhere else.
-
We can rejoice.
-
I don't care if it happens in a river in Amazon.
-
If they get baptized in Jesus name,
-
I'm gonna rejoice for that.
-
But we're a part of it.
-
We're a part of it.
-
So Holy Ghost revival.
-
And yeah, there's only two,
-
but maybe God will give us another one.
-
Praise be to God.
-
And this is what God is doing.
-
Church, let's catch and spread this revival of fire.
-
And there are just a couple of things.
-
I've got a few points, okay.
-
And I'll try to get through these quickly
-
because I got too excited and I'm running out of time.
-
But listen, the first thing I wanna show you,
-
a parallel between natural fire and spiritual fire,
-
is that the fire, number one, the fire wants to fall.
-
Someone say it wants to fall.
-
The fire wants to fall.
-
You know what God wants to do it?
-
You know, you never have to pray, say, God,
-
do you wanna bring, God wants to bring revival.
-
It's his will, amen.
-
There is a phenomenon in nature
-
where embers from one fire can take flight in the sky
-
and they can travel many miles, great distances,
-
until finally they fall like rain from the sky
-
on new ground, igniting new fires.
-
In fact, I know this is usually spoken about
-
in a negative way, right?
-
Especially in California,
-
where wildfires begin to break out.
-
And in one place a fire is burning
-
and they get concerned about another place
-
because those embers get caught up in the sky
-
and then they get carried into the sky in the winds
-
and they can cause a fire somewhere else.
-
But when those embers come down, they're like raindrops.
-
They begin to rain down and a new fire.
-
Well, the Lord showed me something in the spirit
-
that these falling embers give us a picture
-
of what happens when the Holy Ghost begins to fall.
-
And we see this in different times
-
throughout the Word of God.
-
Scripture gives us four shadows of this,
-
such as the fire that fell from heaven on Mount Carmel
-
when Elijah faced off with all of the prophets of Baal.
-
Fire fell from heaven.
-
We see another fire falling
-
at the dedication of the tabernacle
-
where Aaron and the Levites sanctified the tabernacle
-
and fire fell down.
-
We also see a pillar fire forming in the sky
-
when the people of Israel were wandering through the desert.
-
We see picture after picture of God
-
wanting to send his fire from on high.
-
And that same God that did it then wants to do it again.
-
When God wants to dwell in and move among his people,
-
he pours out the fire of power.
-
It's happening again.
-
Someone say it's happening.
-
I dare you to tell somebody right there next to you,
-
say it's happening.
-
It's happening again.
-
Hallelujah.
-
The prophet Joel said,
-
and this shall come to pass afterward,
-
that I will pour out of my spirit on all flesh.
-
God has a desire to pour out his spirit upon all flesh.
-
Doesn't matter who they are.
-
Doesn't matter the color of their skin.
-
Doesn't matter their background or their dial.
-
God wants to pour it out.
-
He wants to pour it out on the Methodists
-
and the Catholic and the Episcopalian.
-
He wants to pour it out on the religion.
-
He wants to pour it out on the atheist.
-
He wants to pour it out on,
-
I wish I had a witness.
-
I wish somebody would get fired up today.
-
He wants to pour it out on the Muslim,
-
on the Islam, on the Buddhists, on the Hindu.
-
Is there somebody there that believed
-
that God wants to pour it out on every man?
-
Come on, come on.
-
Somebody worship him.
-
Somebody magnify Jesus.
-
Come on, if you got the Holy Ghost,
-
just let the Spirit of God burn.
-
I need you to get a revelation
-
that the fire wants to fall.
-
Yes, it does.
-
Halabama, come.
-
We are on the cusp of seeing a great outpour.
-
We are on the cusp of seeing something marvelous.
-
And the only question is,
-
will you let the power fall on your life,
-
in your heart, in your home?
-
Will you let that fire burn?
-
I want it to burn.
-
Clap your hands if you want that fire to burn in your life.
-
I want it, God, I want the fire to burn.
-
Amen!
-
The next parallel we see is that fire
-
always follows the wind.
-
Fire follows the wind.
-
Someone say the wind.
-
Come on, help me say it.
-
Say the wind.
-
It follows the wind.
-
In a wildfire, the wind plays a critical role
-
in spreading the fire,
-
because what the wind does,
-
it begins to fan those flames.
-
It begins to provide those flames the oxygen
-
and the direction that it needs to continue burning.
-
It starts to drive that fire across the landscape
-
to the point where it's no longer the fire that's in control.
-
It's the wind that is driving the fire.
-
Oh my God.
-
It's the wind that is directing traffic and telling fire,
-
no, he whistled, no, you go over there.
-
And the fire begins to follow that way.
-
And the wind begins to blow to the north or to the south.
-
And the fire is submitted to the wind.
-
Oh my God.
-
And I begin to see a parallel in the spirit.
-
Likewise, the fire follows the wind.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Oh, the wind signifies the presence of God.
-
And the fire signifies the power of God.
-
Why?
-
Because you cannot see the spirit of God,
-
just like you cannot see wind in its natural form.
-
All you see are how the trees blow,
-
but you can't with your naked eye see the wind.
-
It is invisible much like the spirit or the presence of God.
-
But fire, someone say fire.
-
Fire is different than wind.
-
Why?
-
Because you can see the fire.
-
I wanna show you a powerful spiritual principle here today.
-
We have to make up our mind
-
if we want just to be a church of all wind,
-
or do we wanna have the wind and the fire?
-
Because I'm here to tell you today,
-
there is a big difference.
-
The Bible says in the upper room,
-
on the day of Pentecost,
-
that there was a rushing mighty wind.
-
Amen?
-
And it began to sweep through as they were praying
-
and as they were seeking God and worship
-
and in their prayers.
-
But it wasn't just that the wind began to blow,
-
and that would have been nice.
-
Ooh, you felt that?
-
Maybe the hairs on the back of their head,
-
you ever feel like a draft come through
-
and the hair that tickles you like, ooh, that felt nice.
-
It felt good, especially on a hot day.
-
And that would have been nice.
-
Even if the story had ended there, sister,
-
and all it did was blow the wind.
-
God just blew on them.
-
And that would have been nice.
-
They all would have felt goosebumps.
-
Like, man, wasn't that a powerful service?
-
God moved, yes he did.
-
Everybody felt something,
-
but God doesn't just wanna move in our midst.
-
Brother, he wants to manifest in our midst.
-
And so what begins to happen,
-
as the wind begins to blow,
-
what happens after the wind comes the fire.
-
All of a sudden they begin to speak with them.
-
They're, shalom.
-
And then the fire sat upon each and every one of them.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
God began to manifest in their midst.
-
I've come to tell you here today, church,
-
as God is my witness,
-
feel the beat and the pulse of your pastor today.
-
I do not wanna be just a believer or a church of all wind.
-
I don't wanna just come Sunday after Sunday,
-
city group after city group,
-
meeting after meeting,
-
and all we're talking about was the wind.
-
I don't just want God to blow on us.
-
I want the fire to manifest in our midst.
-
The fire is the manifestation of the Holy Ghost.
-
I wish I had somebody
-
that is gonna preach with me here today.
-
I'm not just talking about what you feel.
-
Ooh, that was not.
-
I'm talking about the blinded eyes being open.
-
I'm talking about people getting up.
-
I'm talking about miracles, signs, and wonder.
-
I'm talking about people being baptized with the Holy Ghost
-
and the evidence of speaking with other tongues.
-
If you want the fire to fall,
-
if you want the power of God to manifest,
-
I dare you right now just to praise him for a few moments
-
and say, God, manifest your power in our midst, God.
-
Some believers, they're all wind and no fire.
-
They make a lot of noise,
-
but they don't have no manifestation.
-
Amen.
-
Manifestation is fruit.
-
Manifestation is souls being saved.
-
Manifestation is people being discipled.
-
Manifestation are eyes being opened
-
both spiritually and physically.
-
Manifestation is the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
-
We can't go from service to service
-
and people aren't getting filled with the Holy Ghost
-
speaking with other tongues.
-
If there's somebody here today,
-
if you haven't spoken in tongues for a long time
-
or ever at all, God wants to fill you with his spirit today
-
so that you can speak with a new tongue.
-
Oh, don't leave this service.
-
And some of you have been visiting,
-
some of you have been getting close.
-
You gotta get close to the fire.
-
You gotta get right there.
-
Can God touch you in the pew?
-
Absolutely, yes, he can.
-
But sometimes God needs us to step out of our comfort zone,
-
put us ourselves in a place where we can be prayed for,
-
where we can feel the fire and we can feel the faith.
-
And we feel something begin to rise up within us.
-
And then God will take a hold of your lips
-
with stammering lips.
-
You begin to glorify God,
-
joy unspeakable and full of glory.
-
That's what the Holy Ghost begins to do.
-
Oh, I don't just wanna be a church of all wind and no fire.
-
A lot of churches are all wind and no fire,
-
all wind and no fire.
-
You know why God shows up because we praise him.
-
The Bible says he inhabits the praises of his people.
-
So almost any church, if they have enough praise
-
and they attract the president,
-
you get some wind blowing in there.
-
But my question is, where's the fire?
-
Where's the fire?
-
Where are the miracles?
-
Paul said, I did not come to you with the persuasive words
-
of men's wisdom, but with the demonstration
-
of the spirit and power.
-
So we need miracles to break out,
-
not only here in this service,
-
not only here when we gather on Sundays,
-
but all throughout the week,
-
wherever the Lord places you,
-
you wake up every morning, whoo, hallelujah.
-
I'm just about done brother.
-
But you wake up every morning and you say,
-
Lord, not my will, but thy be done.
-
Hey, thy will be done.
-
You know what that's really praying?
-
That's saying, what that's really saying to God is,
-
blow wherever you, send the fire
-
wherever you want it to go, God.
-
Send the fire wherever you want it to go.
-
And wherever the wind is blowing,
-
I'm gonna follow the wind because where the wind is blowing,
-
there's gonna be fire.
-
And I want fire to be there.
-
God might speak to you, say, you know what?
-
Go talk to that person.
-
Why?
-
I've never talked to them before.
-
I don't even know if they're open to them.
-
You know what?
-
Just start something up with them.
-
Begin to ask them questions, get to know them.
-
Buy them a cup of coffee.
-
Just treat them a little bit.
-
And then just start to build, ooh, hallelujah.
-
Build a little fire there and see what I will do
-
in your life.
-
If we want the fire to spread,
-
then we gotta get our hands out of our pocket
-
and just waiting for God to do something.
-
No, God wants to use you and he wants to use me.
-
But instead of just, we got too many people
-
just watching God move.
-
I don't just wanna watch him move.
-
I wanna be in the middle of the move.
-
I wanna be right there where the fire is burning.
-
I want your city groups.
-
We've got seven that we're gonna launch
-
in just a couple of weeks.
-
Stay here for the remainder of the series.
-
By the end of the series,
-
we're gonna pray for all of our city group leaders.
-
We got seven city groups, home-based groups
-
for prayer, Bible study, and fellowship.
-
Praise be to God.
-
And you know what I want?
-
You know what I believe God wants to do?
-
God wants to take the fire that is in here.
-
Woo, hallelujah.
-
And he wants to take that fire into your home.
-
Woo, Jesus.
-
And he wants that fire to burn
-
so that people watch it.
-
Let me ask you, can God fill a soul
-
with the Holy Ghost in your house?
-
Yes.
-
I'm gonna ask you that again.
-
Can God fill a soul with the Holy Ghost in your house?
-
Yes.
-
I remember there were, I'm almost,
-
I remember there were times growing up,
-
my dad's a witness because he would host
-
prayer meetings in our house.
-
Prayer meetings.
-
So many prayer meetings, I got sick of them.
-
How much prayer do we need?
-
It's Friday night, man, TGIF.
-
We're having prayer meetings again.
-
Prayer meetings, prayer meetings, prayer meetings.
-
And I would just stand there and I would sit,
-
I would kneel and I would look at other people
-
and I didn't know what was going on.
-
Why is everybody crying?
-
I was a kid and I would see people
-
just begin to see God in prayer in their home.
-
And it would just be praying and praying.
-
And I remember that people would get
-
the Holy Ghost in our house.
-
Isn't that right, Bishop?
-
They would get the Holy Ghost.
-
Ha-da-da-da-da, I'm talking, speaking to neighbors
-
about what in the world is going on
-
in the Rodriguez household.
-
Ha-da-da-da, just receiving the Holy Ghost in our home.
-
And we had many meetings like that.
-
See, I was born in that.
-
I experienced that.
-
And I think we've got to a place in our life,
-
I don't know, I'm not gonna get into all the, you know,
-
psychological reasons as to why we're not, or spiritual.
-
All I'm saying is, let's put all of that to one side
-
and say, if God can do it, then?
-
If God can do it for that brother,
-
if God can do it for that sister,
-
then God can do it for me.
-
Oh, ha-da-ba-ba-ya-shah.
-
Because this is what I know.
-
The fire, my last point, is never satisfied.
-
The fire is never satisfied.
-
Proverbs 30, 16 says, the fire never says enough.
-
Whew, that's a powerful verse.
-
The fire never gets to a point where it says,
-
you know, that's enough revival for now.
-
You guys have done good enough.
-
Say to the light church, pat yourselves on the back,
-
pat yourselves on the back, man.
-
You've been here 11 years, you've made it,
-
you know, that's enough fire.
-
No, the Holy Ghost never says enough.
-
Because the fire wants to continue splitting.
-
Fire has an insatiable nature.
-
It's always consuming and it's never satisfied.
-
In fact, the more it consumes, the more it wants to consume.
-
Whew, that's why when a church catches fire,
-
when a family catches fire, when a married couple catches fire,
-
when a single adult catches fire,
-
when a young person, a young man or lady catches fire,
-
there ain't nothing that the devil can do about it.
-
There ain't no devil in hell.
-
Whew, shine the, there ain't no witch,
-
there ain't no warlock, there ain't no spell.
-
Nothing can come again when a believer catches fire
-
because that fire continues to burn.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
The devil is not trying, you think the devil,
-
the devil's not trying to make you a drug addict,
-
the devil's not trying to make you this
-
or that all he wants you to do is to let your fire go out.
-
Because if your fire goes out,
-
then that will lead to all sorts of other things.
-
But we've got to let that fire burn.
-
When describing the Lord, no wonder the Bible says,
-
for our God, watch this,
-
for our God is a consuming fire.
-
Somebody stand up on your feet today
-
and let's give God a praise.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah.
-
I feel it right now, somebody, I feel it in the Holy.
-
Come on right there where you're at.
-
I just want somebody to begin to pray in the spirit.
-
Something is happening right now.
-
Halleluiah.
-
Oh, hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.
-
We need the fire to break out.
-
When the Holy Ghost fire begins to burn,
-
it never says enough.
-
Oh, I hear the Holy Ghost saying,
-
you have two revivals marked on your calendar this year,
-
but I got news for you.
-
I got more than just what's gonna happen on those.
-
Don't limit God to just two weekends throughout the year.
-
God said, I want to burn in your church, in your life.
-
In your life, if you let the fire burn,
-
it never says enough, it wants more.
-
You know what happens when you win one soul?
-
You wanna win another one.
-
Whoo, my God.
-
You know what happens when you see one person healed?
-
You wanna see someone else get healed.
-
You know what happens when you pray someone through
-
and they get the Holy Ghost?
-
It's contagious.
-
You wanna see somebody else get prayed through
-
into the Holy Ghost.
-
What happens is, I want the fire begins to burn,
-
brother Ben, once that fire gets on you
-
and it starts moving through you,
-
you don't want it to stop.
-
He said, Lord, let this fire burn.
-
Let it burn.
-
Let it go where it wants to go.
-
I want more of you, God.
-
I want more of your power.
-
I want more of your glory.
-
I want more of your, oh God, I want more miracles.
-
I wanna see it.
-
Is there somebody that wants to see this place filled up?
-
Yeah.
-
If we want this place to fill up this year,
-
which I believe God's going to do it,
-
somebody needs to let the fire move you to win,
-
to soul win.
-
Brother Ysaac, God's gonna save your friend, Kong.
-
You've been giving him Bible studies
-
and you've been consistent with that.
-
I congratulate you for being consistent
-
in those Bible studies.
-
And I'm telling you right now,
-
I prophesied that Kong's gonna get baptized in Jesus' name.
-
He's gonna get baptized in Jesus' name.
-
And then when he gets baptized in Jesus' name,
-
you know what's gonna happen, right?
-
He's gonna tell his mom.
-
And then his mom's gonna get baptized in Jesus' name.
-
And then his mom's gonna find out,
-
you know how the story goes, right?
-
And then the fire keeps burning.
-
And then it jumps from one family to another family.
-
And then years from now,
-
Ysaac used to be like, I only witnessed to one person.
-
You're gonna meet people 20, 30 years from now
-
if the Lord should tear it.
-
Let's say because you witnessed to my mom or my uncle,
-
he spread the gospel and then the fire burned over here
-
and then it got over here and it'll just blow your mind.
-
God's gonna give it to you in Jesus' name.
-
God's gonna give it to you.
-
Some of you out there, I don't know all their names,
-
but I've seen you begin to talk.
-
I've seen your friends, the people you brought to church,
-
the folks that you're connecting with.
-
And so maybe I have it,
-
but I know that God has placed people around you.
-
And I believe today we're gonna create an atmosphere
-
at this altar.
-
We're gonna create some holy fire.
-
We're gonna create an atmosphere, an atmosphere of faith.
-
Because what we want is like
-
what happened on the day of Pentecost.
-
The people of God, they began to,
-
they were waiting on God.
-
And then the Lord shed that fire
-
and something got a hold of them.
-
Right there where you're at,
-
I just wanna declare this over you,
-
over your family, a great revival.
-
I speak it over your sibling right now, over your brother.
-
I speak it over your sister.
-
I speak it over your mom.
-
I speak it over your dad.
-
I speak it over, if you've got living grandparents,
-
I speak it over them right now in the name of Jesus.
-
Let me prophesy for a moment.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Okay, brother, give me a little more right here
-
on the monitor.
-
I speak it over you right now.
-
I speak it over you.
-
La la la la la la la la la la la la.
-
I speak it over your unsaved,
-
your grandmother, your grandfather.
-
If they're living right now, I speak it over them.
-
I speak it over your siblings.
-
Whether they live here,
-
whether they live in another country,
-
I speak it over them right now.
-
We've got apostolic churches all over the world, brother.
-
They don't need to get saved in this church.
-
But if we can start spreading some fire,
-
whether they get baptized in Mexico,
-
they get baptized in the Caribbean,
-
and no matter where they are,
-
we're spreading that fire in the name of Jesus.
-
You can get on Zoom, brother.
-
You can get on Zoom.
-
You can get on FaceTime
-
and watch your whole family get converted
-
in the name of Jesus.
