I want to read out of the book of Ezekiel if I may
-
The script that I'm going to take I'm going to read several verses today, but not all at once
-
Praise God and I want to begin at Ezekiel chapter 16 as you see there on the I was gonna call it la pantalla
Ezekiel 16 chapter mention
-
But it's the screen. I don't you know how you say it in English. Amen, but the screen
-
Amen, and it says this way then I received another message from the Lord Son of Man
-
Man
-
confronts Jerusalem with its
-
detestable sins
-
Give her this message from the sovereign Lord
-
You are nothing more than a Canaanite woman
-
Your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite on the day you were born
-
No one cared for you
-
Your umbilical cord was not cut or you were
-
Or you were washed or rubbed with salt or wrapped in swaddling clothes
-
No one took the slightest interest in you
-
No one had compassion on you or cared for you on the day you were born
-
You were unwanted you were thrown into the field and left to die
-
and
-
I want to if I may give this thought
-
take my cloak
-
upon you and
-
live
-
Take my cloak upon you and live lift up your hands there as we go before the Lord father
-
I thank you for this moment
-
In time Lord that you have given us to be here once again bringing sacrifice of praise to you
-
Which is the most important part of our service to you and worship
-
Lord God the message now Lord that you have for your people Lord help me that I may deliver it as you gave it to me
-
God in the name of Jesus that it will touch the hearts of somebody both here today and through social media
-
However, they might
-
hear and view it today that it may be an encouragement to them knowing God that
-
You brought us out from the miry clay
-
You lift us lifted us up you pulled us out from where we were and you have placed us in heavenly places with you
-
And Lord, we are so grateful and thank
-
Thankful to you in your mighty name Jesus
-
Amen, you may take your places
-
Take my cloak upon you and live
-
this script that of this word from Ezekiel to Jerusalem
-
It's quite depth. There's so much so much
-
Theology in that and I'm I cannot go into all of all of that
-
You can make a great series out of this
-
Amen that you were more
-
nothing more than a canine night woman and
-
Your father was a man of the word
-
And your father was an amorite and your mother a hittite
-
which is
-
not under the covering and the promises of god and
-
And but it is this scripture is a very powerful reflection of where god brought us from
-
And this is something that I oftentimes reflect
-
As who am I I could be driving in my automobile and and just going or on an airplane
-
Traveling somewhere and and in my mind and heart I asked myself who am I that I would be where I am today
-
And it's not of my own doings of my own
-
Abilities or talents or gifts or whatever that I we might claim that we have and I don't claim to have any of those
-
But nonetheless what am I doing here? Who am I that I should be where I am?
-
And maybe that has crossed your mind as well
-
But and I was I've always thought of this passage here this scripture that I that I read and studied so many years ago
-
As power is a powerful reminder of where and how god rescued me from a miserable
-
Condition in this passage the lord commissions the prophet ezekiel to confront
-
Jerusalem and this is the different cut I'm gonna I'm just gonna go through this part part rather quickly because that is not
-
My entirety but but we need to know why it all happened
-
Why did why did Ezekiel continue to write in this passage?
-
About where we have come from and Ezekiel had to confront
-
Jerusalem and because of its detestable backslidden
-
Condition this passage was and is a great reminder of how
-
The Lord found us he loved us. He blessed us and he gave us a hope and from a condemned
-
Condition when we had no hope he gave us hope god used the prophet Ezekiel to remind
-
His people of how they had become
-
detestable and
-
distant from their sovereign God while forgetting their beginnings and left their first love in
-
Revelations 2 and 4 it talks about that the Lord gave this to the great man
-
Apostle John he says nevertheless I have this against you that you have left your first love
-
You know many of us we don't know we can we've asked your your your spouse or your mom or your dad
-
Do you love me and says yes? I love you
-
You know and how much do you love me well this much you know and you you're going to measure it
-
It's hard to measure love praise God. It's hard to measure it
-
I mean they may not love you at all, but they really convinced you you know and and but you know we depend on people
-
Measuring love how what is love but the one that could measure love is love itself
-
God is love even that's who he is and it's measurable according to his you know measuring stick
-
He can measure the love in our lives, but when you have God in your life you have love
-
Hello, amen because God is love praise God hits it. There's nothing else outside the world thinks they know love
-
Nobody knows love like we do
-
Because God is in us and we have his love bless God for that
-
Jerusalem put themselves in a certain condition and they begin to drift away
-
And I'm gonna keep it short that they drifted away for whatever reason has became an idolatrous people and you know it almost
-
depicts certain situations certain people and
-
Religions and so forth they start off well, but they don't end well
-
They start in love and they they they fail it to continue in that
-
But the Lord he he is a God a man of restoration
-
Thank God for that how many of us have ever failed God at one time or another if you have never failed God
-
We have a prize for you at the church
-
But if you failed him at one time don't expect nothing from God or from us
-
Amen, but we've all failed God at one time or another praise God. We probably failed him this morning
-
You know something you said or something you did or something you didn't do it praise God
-
We failed him all the time, but thank God that he's a forgiving God and he's a
-
Restoration God and he restored he puts us back to where we need to be with a man, but Jerusalem
-
themselves they they got they drifted away from the will of God and
-
They and and more than anything as a representation of God
-
You know that Jerusalem was a representation of who God is because God took them from nothing and he made them something
-
And that's the way God works in all lives. He took us from nothing and he made us something
-
So who are we we are the representation of God?
-
We are restored you're looking at a restored person right here because God did it and only God can do what he does
-
Man, if God can fix this he can fix anything you hear what I'm saying if he can fix your heart your mind your spirit
-
Your past if he can wash it all the way and make you brand new
-
Rest and be the name of the Lord. Amen. That is amazing
-
What was a sign of them leaving their first love Jerusalem?
-
They they began to drift it a man and and and because of that
-
The only thing that we can apply to it there is that they left their first love when you leave your first love you start
-
Acting certain weird ways you start doing things that that are not customarily
-
Well, or you know, and so God he knows right away
-
He knows because nothing hides you can't hide anything from God
-
Their best days when your best days are in the past you're drifting away from God's love
-
That he calls you nothing right there
-
When your best days are behind you you're falling out of love
-
Because the love is to grow
-
Love needs to grow in our lives and if you're not growing in love
-
You're falling out of love
-
Praise the Lord. That's what happened to Jerusalem. They began to fall out of love
-
They they began to do things act on things put change the priorities, you know, it's not so important anymore
-
No, no, no, it's okay. God's forgiving God. Just do it like that
-
Do it like that any away and they began to do things any away and and so what happened there is that?
-
They they began to lose out with God and they began to drift away in these and but as
-
Jerusalem and as many today after they have been prospered blessed and given life
-
They forget about their beginnings in the world the Lord finds this fallen and abused and rejected
-
And helpless person that we read about this little baby
-
We're going to be talking about this little baby today a little child that was found in a field
-
And this little child was a newborn child, but it was born in the world and it's a representation of our
-
Old condition where and how God found us and he begins to talk about her
-
He talks he he talks about Jerusalem as a little baby and how he found
-
This this this people this nation they had no name
-
They had nothing to them and it's it's the way that world produces humanity
-
It's the way that the world produces people it praise God
-
We can't blame the people for acting the way they act and doing the crazy things they do
-
Because that's what the world does it produce them that forms them that develops them into who they are
-
There's people out in the world that hate there's people out there that that that discriminate
-
There's people in the world that they do all kinds of crazy things
-
But they're doing what the world does so we can't blame them
-
But we need to blame the spirit behind all of that and know that the devil is a liar
-
How many know that event and he is the god of this world and he tends to control the people that live within
-
And this little baby that we reference here is is how the lord found
-
this little baby
-
And our god he he's a redeeming god. Can you say praise the lord for that?
-
Amen in galatians four and three it says that is what happened to us before christ came we were like
-
Children we were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world. What are the basic?
-
Spiritual principles of the world the basic spiritual principles of the lord is in slavery
-
It it controls your mind your spirit. It controls everything about you praise god
-
So if that car cuts you off on the freeway or or you know, whatever happens somebody stole
-
Something from you took advantage of you or whatever that is
-
That comes from the basic spiritual principles of this world and we're not going to change those
-
But we are better than that because we've been introduced to something much greater praise the lord somebody
-
And this is the way god found us. This is the way we were found. We weren't found a man in a perfect state of
-
Oh, man, you don't even need baptism brother. There's been there's been people think they don't need baptism because they don't they think they don't have no sin
-
How many of you were like that don't raise your hand
-
I wasn't like that. Believe me. I knew I needed more than one bad do it twice dump me twice brother
-
It's almost like once is not enough, you know do it twice do it three times
-
You know, I really need a good washing here in the blood praise god
-
But once it's enough somebody say once was enough for me
-
Amen, but look at the spiritual principles of the world those spiritual principles are powerful because they dominate the control
-
And that's what they produce. They produce a failing people a fallen people
-
In our passage we see an unwanted neglected and an unloved child
-
A child abandoned and exposed to the elements of the world
-
The only thing that waited her was the bible says is death
-
That's it. And ezekiel said this was your condition, Jerusalem
-
You were miserable before god came to you
-
The condition of this child is how god found everybody
-
This is how he found me ezekiel said this child was unclean
-
Unloved uncared for and unclaimed
-
Unclean because the child had not been washed
-
But remained in the state in which it was born
-
Unclean as romans 3 23 and isaiah 64 6 says tells us we are all unclean sinners in the eyes and in the presence of god
-
That's how I came to him. That's how he found me
-
And this is the condition we're with the world
-
Throws out the babies
-
It throws out the babies. It just leaves the babies in that condition
-
Unloved and uncared for
-
This child had not even had her umbilical cord cut properly
-
She was not been she had not been washed nor rubbed with it
-
She was not been she had not been washed nor rubbed with salt. There's so much significance there
-
Amen, we can spend a lot of time talking about being washed or rubbed with salt
-
To protect her from the elements of the world that was harming her
-
She had not been clothed
-
She had been left naked and exposed to all the dangers and all the elements of the world
-
Into which she had been born and this is the way we were born
-
And we were all born sinners. Uh, every one of us was born a sinner
-
It doesn't matter how cute you were and and and and you know
-
They put that bow on your head young ladies babies as a big look how cute and you young guys, you know
-
Well, you weren't so cute, but but you were you know, you were healthy
-
Amen, we're gonna say you were cute. We're on the girls. Yeah, you know, the beautiful princess and whatnot
-
Praise god, but in all of that you were a sinner. I don't think i've heard anybody, you know
-
What the brand new born baby? We're gonna say this you see her for the you sinner
-
She's not gonna tell that to a baby you're gonna offend the mom and daddy, you know
-
But the fact is yes, we were because we were born in sin
-
We were born in a human way and here we are praise god
-
It seemed that everyone around this little baby girl hated her
-
This is how the world rejects humanity
-
This is how the world treats its babies. This is how the spiritual
-
principles of the world
-
Treats their newborns. They abandon them. They leave them there. They hope they die in their miserable condition
-
For this reason david even said at one occasion in psalm 142 and 40
-
He said refuge has failed me
-
He says no one cares for my soul and that's how he felt and he expressed himself that way
-
But that is the way that that that a born
-
Human in this world a baby in this world a refuge has failed them
-
No one cares for their soul. This little girl was laid naked before the hostile world
-
No matter how hard we tried to hide our condition
-
We can never hide our shame our guilt or our sin
-
We are like this little girl that was naked in the field
-
covered in her own blood
-
Hebrews 4 and 13 it says there is nothing in all creation that is hidden from god
-
Everything is naked and exposed in his eyes
-
And it is to him that we give account
-
Praise be to god. Nothing is hidden. Nothing passes by everything. He sees
-
Everything praise god. No one wanted to claim this little girl
-
Neither the mom or the father would claim her as their own
-
There's not a father. There's not a mother in this world that can save their child from sin
-
Amen, there's nothing you can do. You can say i'm gonna do this
-
I'm gonna do that. No, no, no, no, you can't uh, you know baptize them as a baby
-
But you can present them before god obviously praying that that god gives you the strength that you've been rear up and train up this child
-
In the fear of the lord and one day they will decide for their own selves that they want to surrender their soul to him
-
But this child here that we're talking about had no idea
-
Can you imagine a a new born child in a field by itself?
-
Bloody naked it's umbilical cord to the side. They're hanging on to for dear life
-
No one wanted to claim this little girl neither her mother nor her father
-
Amen would claim this and we are praise god ourselves or were like orphans just like this baby
-
Abandoned even though you might say well, I'm not gonna do this
-
Abandoned even though you might say well my mother my daddy loved you. Oh, yes, they did
-
But they were still an orphan before god
-
Why it's because you didn't have your heavenly father with you
-
Ephesians 2 12 says at that time you were living apart from christ
-
You were not allowed to be citizens of israel
-
And you did not know the promises of the covenant that god had made with you you lived in this world without
-
God and without hope
-
Doesn't matter how good you are
-
What nice things you do in life and I know a lot of people that don't know god
-
They do a lot of nice things for people but that's not going to save them
-
Yes, we have a family. We have friends all around us, but they cannot
-
ever
-
Satisfy the desire and the longing of our soul
-
What our soul desires is a relationship with the living god and creator of all mankind
-
Amen this wisdom this this excuse me this newborn child baby
-
Amen was completely unable to change its own situation
-
And this is what I want you to see
-
You know a lot of us we we think that you know
-
We were at the right place at the right time and and you know, so you got saved you went to the right revival
-
You went that's that's that's okay. You know, that's all and that's wonderful
-
But you know what you didn't set up your salvation. You didn't set yourself up for salvation
-
praise god, and you might say yeah brother, but I
-
You know I used to give to the church and I and I used to clean the church and I and I used to do
-
All these you know, and yeah, that's all fine. You did all that you did all of that
-
But you didn't set yourself up for salvation
-
No, you did not
-
God came to you. He said if I'd be lifted up, I'll draw all men unto me
-
You don't have nothing to do with your salvation. I came to you
-
I found you like this little baby in a field full of blood
-
Uncapable of taking care of yourself. You couldn't feed yourself. You couldn't give yourself milk
-
You couldn't wash yourself clean yourself clothe yourself. I picked you up from there
-
That's where I found you and I picked you up from that condition
-
I'm the one that lifted you up. I clipped your umbilical cord. I put cleaning solution upon you
-
I washed you
-
This baby could not change its current condition if someone does not come to rescue rescue her
-
She will surely die
-
Praise God. This could be someone here today or maybe listening on the live broadcast today
-
Praise God. This could be your condition today. There is nothing we can do to rescue ourselves
-
You don't have the power within yourself to rescue you
-
You have to see yourself as this little baby you help your helpless hopeless laying there with no
-
Future with nothing a man on that that you can say was of any beauty upon you
-
You could have been the most beautiful baby, but with that blood in the condition that we're laying out in the field
-
There's nothing we can do to rescue our own selves
-
This baby's condition is the condition of humanity if you please if there were if this was the end of the story
-
Oh, it would be sad
-
But thank God that's not the end of the story of this little baby girl in Ezekiel 16 6
-
It says yet. I came and saw you there
-
Kicking helplessly in your own blood as you lay there. I said
-
live
-
Wow, somebody say live
-
He stopped
-
He stooped down and he began to minister healing to this helpless child
-
And let me say something to you the only word that the Lord
-
Jehovah God uttered to this little baby girl was
-
Live and you know, that's all he has to say
-
You know, it will go against everything. What is the one thing that everybody fears in this world?
-
Are not ready for well, maybe you don't well
-
We don't we're children of God to be absent from this bodies to be ever present with God, but yet you're hanging on right
-
Nobody wants to leave praise God
-
But the sooner we get there the sooner is it's going to get better for all of us
-
But the one thing that the Lord said was
-
live
-
We can see what Christ has done for all who have put their faith and their trust in him
-
It this it was the Lord who came near and saved this little girl
-
Death was certain but the voice of God
-
Speaks and gives life in Ezekiel the next verse 7 it says and I helped you to flourish
-
Like a plant of the field you grew up and became a precious jewel
-
Your breast grew your hair came out
-
But you were still naked. I'm going to tell you something
-
There's a process in how God does things and when this is what we have to be patient with the Lord sometimes
-
But he said I and I helped you to flourish. He said I made you who you are today
-
Everybody that is in this building and that is hearing my voice
-
I want you to know that it was God that helped you you were right
-
It was God that helped you you were miserable. You were in a state of death, but God helped you
-
He made you flourish
-
And become like a plant in the field there where you are
-
What does that mean that while we're still in this world?
-
We can be blessed and be prospered and live heavenly for God even though we're not of this world
-
We're still here, but we can be precious in the sight of the Lord
-
Praise God a precious jewel
-
It's what this little baby became
-
He been this abandoned
-
girl through the love of God became a young lady a
-
precious jewel
-
The same one who was despised rejected abandoned and considered worthless
-
And now is adorned with beauty
-
What a picture of what Jesus can do and does when he enters into our lives
-
I'm not I am what I am because of him. I didn't do anything praise God
-
To be where I'm at today
-
I have to be thankful to the Lord every day for pulling me out of that horrible place
-
He meant out to be thankful for the Lord for taking this little bloody baby one day and putting it in his arms
-
Oh, I want to tell somebody today. You got to think back that way. That's how I see myself
-
This is why I have such great gratitude for my savior is because that's where he pulled me up
-
That's what he did
-
He took this little baby bloody in the condition that it was and he caressed it and began to love this child
-
What a picture of what Jesus does
-
When he tells us to live
-
What a powerful and loving transformation
-
Ezekiel 16 8 the next verse says then I passed by again
-
And saw that you were of
-
an age for love
-
Then I wrapped my cloak
-
around you
-
To cover your nakedness
-
and pronounced my
-
marriage vows
-
to you
-
I made a covenant with you says the sovereign Lord and you became mine
-
Wow
-
This is this is this is really something we can be on this for a month man
-
I'm telling you that this is has some so much theological depth
-
The Lord covered her with his cloak
-
that is the
-
the topic of today
-
The cloak holds a significant symbolism in the bible
-
From the old testament to the new testament the biblical meaning of the cloak
-
Is woven into numerous stories and teachings in scripture
-
a cloak can symbolize
-
favor
-
distinction
-
in God's faithfulness
-
the cloak typifies
-
righteousness
-
and protection
-
The prophet Isaiah said in Isaiah 61 and 10
-
He says for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation
-
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness
-
When he covers us you're covered. I got you covered
-
You're not going to find an insurance company in the world that will cover you like he covers us
-
He covers us with his own garment of service. He clothed us. He put his own cloak
-
upon us of salvation
-
He covered us with his robe of righteousness
-
We are who we are we talk and we walk
-
And we act and we do the things we do today because he covered you with his cloak
-
in biblical times a cloak represented various aspects of a person's identity
-
and spiritual journey
-
If a man came and put his cloak on a woman
-
He was claiming her betrothal
-
and
-
ultimately marriage
-
to love to cherish to protect
-
and to safeguard
-
You see the cloak that that you have received upon your life
-
The cloak that he has put upon you and is put upon me
-
Let me tell you something. That is a covenant
-
That God made with you and me to love us
-
to cherish us to protect us
-
And to safeguard us I can do all things through christ
-
Why because I've got his cloak upon me. I'm a child of the living god
-
He has rescued me from shame and disgust and sin
-
He clothed his cloak upon me and now I feel love like i've never felt it before
-
I feel the covering upon my life like nobody can do
-
I feel safe and I feel cherished and I feel protected
-
Praise god
-
It was a public sign of commitment of love of desire and of devotion
-
It is for this reason that ezekiel goes on to say
-
That god entered into a covenant
-
An everlasting covenant
-
With this chosen one, which is you and me
-
Whom he found abandoned and destitute
-
In the same way god has claimed us
-
as his own
-
He has made a covenant with us
-
That cannot be broken or that that he has not covered us with himself
-
He put his own cloak on you
-
He didn't he didn't tell somebody else to throw a blanket on you. No, no, no, he took off his own cloak
-
He put it on you
-
And when he did that you're covered sister you're covered brother
-
You're under his care. He cherishes you he protects you
-
He is your security. He is your identity
-
Amen, because when people see that cloak on you
-
They see christ because you are covered. Amen in the cloak of christ
-
That is what identifies us with it
-
What identifies us with him is the fact that he put his cloak upon us
-
Amen, and he loves we are his we're mine. I'm yours lord. Hey, amen. I'm sorry. I got your cloak upon me
-
I can I can go to whatever this world has
-
I can go to whatever this world has
-
But I'm gonna be all right because greater is he amen that i'm cloaked with than he that is in the world
-
I've got your covering. I got god's covering upon my life. No matter what comes your way
-
It doesn't matter what the doctor says doesn't matter what the lawyer and the judge says it don't matter what anybody says
-
It's because you have the cloak of god upon your life
-
Bless the lord
-
Only he in him do we find refuge salvation and love
-
Compassion security and the hope for all eternity. This is our wonderful picture of god's grace in action
-
He's still reaching out to the helpless today
-
To the hopeless to the rejected and and to the abandoned the lonely the unworthy and he says to you today
-
Live
-
If you're hearing my voice today and you have not
-
Been cloaked you have not been covered
-
Let him cloak you today. Let him cover you with his protection
-
It don't cost you nothing. The price has been paid. It's not gonna it's gonna help you
-
Consider yourself as a little baby in a field
-
Abandoned you're helpless as much as you feel that you feel love around you
-
You're not gonna feel love until you have that cloak upon your life
-
He's still reaching out
-
Somebody here today somebody, you know watching, you know via whatever amen and and
-
You you get you need to know that he loves you today
-
And he wants to save your soul. He he wants to tell you today live
-
live
-
Live he has truly given us beauty for ashes as isaiah says beauty for ashes
-
I I could have been still in that field
-
Abandoned thinking waddling in the dust a man waddling in my own blood
-
Just hoping that I could make it for that another night
-
Hoping that I could make it for that another night
-
But you know what you don't need to spend another night
-
Amen in the field in waddling in your own blood
-
You can let him come to you and you can say here. I am lord here. I am lord
-
Come on to me. I open my heart to you lord. Amen. And this is a choice today
-
Ezekiel 16 and 9 and 10 it says then I bathed you he says
-
I wiped away your blood and I rubbed your skin with
-
Fragrant oils. Look at that my god. I clothed you in costly garments of fine linen
-
And sealed with beautiful embroidery and I put sandals of the finest quality
-
Of goat's skin on you
-
Oh somebody say I'm glad I'm clothed by him. I'm so glad that he found me
-
I'm so glad that he reached down for me. I'm so glad that he picked me up
-
from that horrible place
-
Ezekiel explains explains exactly what god has done for this little girl
-
He cleansed her healed her and
-
consecrated her
-
He washed away all impurities all the sin everything that separated her from him
-
When god saves us he cleanses totally by the blood of Jesus Christ
-
Romans 5 and 9 it says much more than have he now been justified by his blood
-
We shall be saved from the wrath through him
-
Wow. Oh
-
his clothe
-
His clothe covers me
-
He also anointed this little baby
-
with oil
-
The oil had a double purpose in those days
-
medicinal and religious
-
By anointing the little baby girl with oil or the girl with oil event
-
He was showing that he came to bring healing to the lives of those he saves
-
in 2nd Corinthians 1 21 it says now
-
He who establishes us with you in Christ has anointed us in God us is God
-
He anointed you he's anointed me
-
All that oil that he put on her. Let me tell you something. He was looking to this day
-
He he was yes, he's he's he told
-
Ezekiel to
-
Speak prophetically to Jerusalem
-
But in reality God put the words in his mouth as Ezekiel began to proclaim
-
But he was looking to this day today
-
This was a prophetical word a prophetic message not just to Jerusalem
-
But to us here today that could easily by just accepting him into my life into our lives
-
Bless the name of the Lord. Don't wait another day
-
Don't take another day in the field covered in that condition
-
Be saved be saved. This is the day of salvation
-
The scripture says at the moment of salvation. He gives us the holy spirit
-
as our sanctifier as our
-
Counselor and as our comforter. This is a typology of the oil that he put upon her
-
Amen, the oil is his is significant of his spirit how he how he gave us
-
His spirit and how we have his anointing upon our lives. He came to heal wounds
-
damaged
-
Relationship damaged emotions mental scars
-
Amen, he came to heal us so that we may have abundant living
-
If you think you're living you're not living until you're living
-
In God you're not living it until you're cloaked by his cloak
-
You're not living until you're anointed by him
-
Washing the salt washed by him
-
Taking in his arm to love you to caress you to cherish you to protect you
-
This is what it means and you will never ever be alone again
-
It doesn't matter where you end up in life when you have christ you got everything you need
-
What else do you need if you got jesus? Amen. We have been
-
consecrated
-
For his glory. I'm gonna ask the keyboards if he can come up now. Praise god
-
Praise god doesn't mean anything but just come
-
No, i'm almost done
-
This little girl's life
-
Would never be enough
-
And my life
-
Would never be the same
-
again
-
If you are hearing my voice today and
-
First of all in the opening of the scripture we talked about how that
-
Jerusalem had lost their first love
-
And that's that can happen
-
We've seen it we don't want to judge nobody but but you know over the years in my life
-
In one occasion I was
-
I was praying
-
It was for a relative of mine
-
And I was preaching a revival many years ago and this relative came
-
And I know that this person had so many chances to
-
Make things right with god was backslidden
-
And I I seen this person get close to god and then leave come back and leave
-
back and forth and
-
Happened to be there in that revival and I was it was a big altar. I was praying and
-
after we had preached and and I was praying for the people and
-
I experienced something that I had never
-
In my life to this day
-
ever experienced
-
And it wasn't good
-
When I went to pray and lay hands on this person
-
Something pushed me away
-
And it wasn't the devil. It was god
-
It says don't
-
I said well lord I was gonna don't
-
Then I heard a cry
-
From this person
-
I heard a cry that I had never heard before I heard a cry
-
As if somebody was falling
-
and falling and falling
-
and falling
-
Oh my god said lord, why did you let me hear that?
-
Why did you let me hear that cry? I
-
I'll it's right here in my heart my mind all these years. It's never left me
-
And he says because I wanted you to hear the cry of a reprobate mind
-
And I says but lord
-
It's a soul. He says you leave that to me
-
You leave that to me
-
But you need to know
-
That the only
-
Only option people have is this salvation
-
And I've preached my heart out for many many many years i've been preaching and
-
Teaching and reaching out to folks. I don't ever want to hear that cry again
-
never
-
It's not a not a nice cry
-
I heard as though the
-
Voice was falling deeper and deeper and deeper and deeper
-
And the lord says, you know what that is and I says yes I do
-
He says only I can correct that
-
And I told god mercy god have mercy
-
And that's up to him
-
but
-
When we reject god or when we
-
Pull away from him and we begin to
-
Make reasons or excuses or justifications to drift away from him
-
It's dangerous
-
You know years ago
-
Years ago when I was just a young man just newly converted only had like maybe six months
-
I used to go to the prayer meetings every sunday morning at the church at 6 a.m
-
We had fasting every sunday the young people would go and we would fast every sunday
-
And there was a backslider that came and I invited this backslider to come come come with me to the prayer
-
or coming fast with me and
-
Finally, I'd convinced him and I and he came
-
King
-
Oh my god, and
-
We gathered around him and we prayed and prayed and prayed and
-
Then the lord
-
Began to lift up his spirit
-
He began to speak in tongues and oh my god
-
What a restoration
-
That's amazing
-
But then back then
-
Unfortunately
-
Backsliders could not come back
-
Backsliders were not permitted to come back
-
And when I took him to the pastor and I said pastor pastor
-
Look what the lord has done
-
And he says what's he doing here?
-
And I said, well, I invited him. He says no
-
Once you turn your back on god, you're done
-
Please leave and never come back
-
I heard those words
-
And let me tell you something it pierced my heart
-
I cried for days and days and didn't understand it
-
but the lord
-
Showed me and says
-
I am a restoring god
-
So I talked to that brother and I says just
-
Find a place that you can worship god and just serve the lord with all your heart
-
And he did
-
To this day. He's still serving god
-
And still serving the lord
-
Didn't lose him
-
But just the mindset and the mentality
-
in those days
-
Well, let me tell you those hermanitos that get out in a lane. I see
-
My god
-
it's
-
But we do serve a god that restores
-
He's a restoration god and in time we learned that and
-
And you know the pastor he changed in in in the short time and realized that
-
There's restoration
-
and but it was just the way that
-
The belief was at that time but thank god
-
that the lord
-
he dealt with Jerusalem in a way where
-
They became
-
restored in splendor after
-
later on and with time and and i'm telling somebody here today or on
-
Whoever means you can hear this
-
There's hope for you
-
There's hope for you
-
The lord will extend his hand to where you are because he loves you
-
Take and receive him in faith today and see how that
-
He wants
-
you
-
To hold you like he held that little baby
-
What he did for that little baby he'll do for you today
-
Hallelujah
