A Relentless Church

I'm gonna invite you to stand if you can if you can

Church, can you tell your neighbor a relentless church?

The readers were found here to be tempted to pull away from Christ as

Whoever the author was as he was writing this he found himself in this need

Consider how to stimulate one another to good works by even meeting together

It almost seems like the writer of Hebrews was looking at our church and writing to us today

Verse 35 and I'd like to just again break it down for a quick moment cast not away there for your confidence

which has great recompense of reward the church is

Under pressure to fold and fall in line with the agenda of the world

Everywhere you look the pressure is on

But we must be relentless and pursuing the will of God and not give in to this demonic pressure

This pressure will come through anyway, and it's always always always

Stronger every time you turn

Every time you look and you look back and you look again and it looks like it's getting worse and it looks like it's getting stronger

But you see in verse 35. He says cast not away thou

confidence

And how many times have we walked into the house of God without any confidence?

You see he was trying to encourage them to see that their confidence wasn't in what they were looking around them

But their eyes had to be set on the actual reward that was promised to them

Time and time again we come in and and and when we have an issue and when we don't praise and and when we struggle

To give God our everything it's because of something that you're going through right now

Not not it has nothing to do with the promise has nothing to do with rapture had none of no no no it's just well

It's because right now and that's the word

And that's the word

But you see verse 36. He tells him for ye have need of patience

my god

That after ye have done the will of God ye might receive

The promise the mistakes of the past that were holding us back from a constant pursuit is the enemy's victory

You see we think that just because we come to church and we jump a little that we are good and that we're saved

And that we're right and that we're okay

But the reality is that the enemy will still win even though you come to church and you jump and you shout

It don't matter if you give your tithe and your offering it

Don't matter if you come and you set up and tear down it don't matter if you sing in church

It don't matter what you do. The enemy can still win

Because we'll come and we'll get stuck here

And part of what god was showing me was the church you got the right place you got the right people you got the right thing

You got the wrong attitude and there is no substitute for the right attitude

Because you have it all praise god here. Yeah, you need that throughout the week

You shouldn't have to come to church to get hyped up and to get ready and to get motivated

You should come to celebrate the power that god has been doing in your life throughout the week

in your life throughout the week

But if you've been walking with the enemy if you've been walking too close to the world

If you've been doing your own thing and you forgot about god because you didn't have a prayer meeting because pastor didn't call you

Because somebody didn't do something because of whatever the case may have been then the enemy is winning. Let me clarify

Oh, but I come to church well, no, no that just means there's hope

Because while there's life, there's hope it doesn't mean we're in victory

You see god touching you

Doesn't mean you're right

That's just his grace and his love over your life. Don't mistake a miracle for salvation

I've prayed for many people instantly healed tumors gone cancer gone

All these crazy people have gotten up out of a wheelchair. They're handing me canes and they leave it. You never see them again

I prayed for a man. They told him you got three days to live. That's what they told his mama

And she called me and he said they told him that yesterday tomorrow. He's dead. Can you come to the hospital?

I said, sir, I show up. I had never seen a man that way never seen tubes in places like that

Never seen a man faced like that. I just said a simple prayer. I left about a week two weeks later

He called me, you know who this is. No, I don't know who this is. This is rayman. I said well rayman

What do you want? He said you prayed for me and i'm out of the house

Well, you better get to the house of god as soon as you can

Guess what?

The devil still won

Because three years later he died but he never stepped into church not even to thank god

Let's continue because you're getting me upset here

For yet a little while a little while a little while and and and he that shall come and will not tarry verse 37

And will not tarry verse 37 but today I declare that this relentless church rises up to take back its place in the race

Of eternal life my gosh. I'm a higher you see time and time again the church

Hallelujah forgets that we're in a race and we want to sit it out and we want to get we want to start straight

It's not your time to stretch. It's not your time to train. It's your time to run

It's your time to get into the race. The whole point is about not stopping

It's not about starting. It's about finishing

Oh, well, I want a soul, you know pastor like four years ago

Well, that's just one soul, you know that the rest of the world is going to hell in a basket

You need to get out there and get more souls fast quick and in a hurry

We're in a battle we're in a race and it is constant it's not every once in a while it's constant

We're in a race and it's constant

But where's our mind we're focused on on what we see only we're focused on this and we're focused on that

What about the stuff that you can't see? What about the promises that were made to you?

Did you know that that's what you need faith for?

Because he said i'll come back for you. Oh, okay. You just got to believe

No longer

When we we are we grow so impatient so quickly

We we will start working on prayer and and all of a sudden two three minutes into it

We're like, well, i'm not feeling it. Who said prayer had anything to do with feeling?

Who said praising god had anything to do with feeling?

Who said tearing for revival had anything to do with feeling?

You see when you open your mouth and you pray which is the biggest

Battle the enemy will have against the church you can dance you can shout you can sing

You can give you can do and all that is good

But it is prayer that he will fight because when you open your mouth

The heavens open up and listen and when we begin to speak angels begin to get dispatched

Demons begin to flee and sick people begin to get healed the dead begin to rise because you have power

in your mouth

That's why that's why we like the the i'll have pastor pray for you. No you pray

We want pastor to do no pastor will pray and first lady will pray and how about you pray?

How about you give the bible study? How about you evangelize?

How how about you?

It's because you think you think prayer is about you prayer has nothing to do with you prayer has to do with who he is

We hardly preach on rapture

We hardly preach on the coming of god and I believe that the reason why the church is the way it is today

Is because the preachers we no longer preach it. We hardly even believe it

I'm old school man. I still talk about the heaven splitter because that's still my desire

I'm still believing god at any moment

I know I can hear the last trumpet and that sky is gonna split and wait

In a blink of an eye, we're gonna be transformed to get in red christ shall rise first

And then you and I that are still here will be transformed and then we're going up baby

We're not staying here

I really am not of this world, but we get too comfortable here

We get too comfortable here when I was younger

Man, if my mom and then my dad would not at home when I'd show up. I started getting worried after about 10 minutes

I was like, um

Let me call let me call my sister. Hey, is mom dad there?

You know because my sister was yeah, I was like, she'd probably stay I call my brother. Hey, you know

Uh, I ended up calling the pastor. I was like, hey is my mom and I was even down in the past

Maybe the pastor might even stay but my mom and dad I know they're right. Where are they?

And nowadays

You come home nobody home you forget about it and then people don't come home for two three days

You're like, huh?

I didn't even notice you're too busy on your iphone on your android

You're too busy on skype and you're too busy on all these social media platforms. All that is virtual reality

And the enemy's picking up distractions here and there and that's why you don't pray and that's why you don't fast

That's why you don't read that's what

You didn't want me to preach to you today

You want him to give you a patty cake message and pray for the sick and say god is good

No, no, no god is always good, but he wants you to get into heaven

He wants you to get active. He wants you to get right

Right my god a rental a relentless church taking back their purpose

Is what we need to be a relentless church

Taking back their power their apostolic roots and their rightful place in the world as a holy nation a royal priest to the peculiar people

We have to fight till the end

Not just not just till you feel good

Not just till they give you a title

Verse 38 and 39 listen listen another just shall live by faith

But if any man draw back

You don't have church anywhere else

You come to have church here, but you don't have that all week

You prepare this is this is the moment

That altar that altar is kind of covered with other stuff

The one at home

the one you carry

You know that that that you're supposed to be a porter of the glory where you're carrying a whole bunch of other stuff

You know, you're like one of those tote bags and oh we're gonna go this then you empty it out and put just what you need

Then you take off and then you come back and you empty it out same thing

It's the same thing. That's what we come and do here

It's not that you don't have a good church you have the right church you are the right church

I'm I this there's no question about it. There's no doubt about it. You got the right people

You got the right leader. The problem is the attitude. It's the mindset

It's all going to make sense when I give you that that prophetic word that god gave me

But i'm prophetically already speaking to you. I need you to understand that because of what god wants to do here

That's that's what I don't understand as how could we say that we're a church we should

We struggle to speak in tongues

We if we struggle to speak in tongues, how are you living in the spirit?

The problem is that we're not living in the spirit. We're we're being we're being led by our emotions

That's why you get mad and you're like i'm not giving anymore than i'm not going don't go leave get out of here

You think god needs you? It is your privilege to be in the house of god

It is your privilege to show in the kingdom

You think you're going to stand here and threaten the man of god the one that he died for and called?

And sealed and said i'm going to send you there and i'm going to surround you with people and i'm going to give those people

The opportunity to be a part of the blessing

And if you don't want it he'll bring them from somewhere else

I tell my church all the time pastor. I'm sorry i'm going there but the real I tell my church you don't sustain me

God is using you right now to pay me

I said, but if you want to shut your hand and shut your wallet do it because till now god has opened doors and

Somebody from another state came by and said hey remember I asked you to pray for this blessing

Yeah, he's like here's the check seven thousand dollars. That's for you brother. I said for the church. No, no, no, that's for you

I promised god that when I got that blessing I was gonna give you I said praise god

I told my wife here go pay all the bills. We paid bills. We paid credit. We got out of there

I said, I don't need you. I need him

But now that the church has understood now they're like no no no here I want to bless you because somebody this is what happened

I had a brother a brother when I was like, oh, let me he always wanted to give me some

And I was like brother, you don't have to be giving me. He's like, no, no, no

He's like it's because every time I give you something they give me

And he said he goes one day after a sunday service

He said pastor I want to buy your lunch here and I was like, thank you brother lord bless you gave me fifty dollars

I was like I can eat with less right, you know, but then I looked at my family

I was like, I'm gonna need more right. So anyway

Don't go there. Anyway, so we're leaving we get to the restaurant. He calls me. He's like pastor

I told you and I said what he goes my sister from Arizona. Just call me

She said I'm gonna need more

That's the god that we serve I said, that's the god that we serve not I we

All right, all right, that's not even part of the sermon just just listen

So the problem is that we get so used to living with all the but but we we're okay with living without the holy ghost

And that's not good church

And that's not good church

Because when we get used to living without the holy ghost we get used to living without miracles without prophecy without the gifts of the spirit

We get we get used to living and just with emotions and when how I feel with them

It has nothing to do with I don't feel like coming to church every day

I don't feel like getting up at three in the morning and praying. I don't feel like traveling all the time

I don't feel like doing this or doing that. I don't feel like praying for people sometimes. I'm tired

Sometimes I'm sick of it. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of it

Sometimes I'm tired. Sometimes I'm sick. Sometimes I got pain in my body

But god says I called you and I'm like, okay, and there you go to do it

Why because it has nothing to do with how you feel but about being spirit led

And I say that I say that because the holy ghost will make you do the craziest of things

The holy I promise you if you had an experience with the holy it'll make you do the crazy

I would never do that. No, and you'll do it. I've never loved that and you'll love it

I'll never pray that much and you'll pray it

I'll never give that bible and you give it and all of a sudden you start falling in love with the things that the holy ghost

loves like souls

Yeah, I figured you know, but that's the problem because all the way you you want me

We're about the same age brother

So you're going to do it

Why do you gotta do it why do I gotta

But when the holy ghost begins to take over

All of a sudden it's not about how you look it's not about you

No, no, no, it has everything to do with him what he's doing what he's trying to get to and all of a sudden

You start finding out. Oh, I get it

Essential piece, but i'm not the whole puzzle. You see i'm just a part and I can take part or I cannot take part

But i'm not hurting anybody but myself first and then all those others and when I do that that is going to fall on

And we're okay with that no brother i'm not yes you are when you're okay living without the holy ghost that's the way you are

You're okay with that

Because we the holy ghost you got to remember this the holy ghost is god living and dwelling in

inside of you

you're trying to hide from the pastor and the holy ghost is there like

You don't want nobody else to hear and he's like, you know, i'm still here, right?

You know that one two three o'clock in the morning that

Yeah, yeah because because half of you are doing things online that you shouldn't be doing posting pictures that you shouldn't be posting

Some of you want me to go there some of you I heard you you said do it say it

But it's because it's true

I i'm trying to get you uncomfortable to see that there's nothing you can hide from the lord

I don't want to call people out because that's not the holy ghost isn't here to embarrass people

That's not what the holy ghost does the holy ghost is here to correct you and realign you so that you can enter into his will

And you can continue going forward. It's not about the drawback. It's not about the fall. It's not about the mistake

No, no, no, the holy ghost says if you just allow me

I can dust you off and get you back on the road

But you need to get going you need to stop wallowing in the mud

You need to stop holding back

It's because they did this to me. It's all right. I still love you. I still killed you. I still cleansed you

But don't take your spirit

Some of us are dying and making way because I need the crown who cares about the crown if you don't got the spirit

You need the spirit don't lose the spirit

Don't take the title take the job. Don't take the car. We don't even think about the holy ghost

We don't even talk about it

We don't even ask about it

But I hear a group of apostolic people raising their voices shouting that you can have anything lord

You can have anything just don't take your holy spirit from me

Because you see as a relentless church, uh, we can do without a lot of things

We can do without the money we can do without the friends. We can do without the title, but I can't do it without the holy ghost

We got to be willing we got to be determined we got to be relentless

I will not slow down. I will not back down. I will not vote to the president. I will be relentless

What kind of church are we going to be are we going to be a relentless church?

Are we going to be the kind that go hide and the kind that well it depends and and who's around and what are they doing?

How are you looking at me?

Well, what do you mean pastor? I think I think we got a good church, you know

I didn't say you have you don't have a good church again

You're not hearing things that i'm saying you're hearing things that i'm not saying

I'm asking you to be relentless in your praise in your purpose in your passion in your preaching in your service in your worship

And you're giving in your faith. I need you to be a relentless church

You a relentless person says i'm not giving up and i'm not letting you give up either

That's somebody relentless

Somebody relentless doesn't just think of themselves and look out for themselves and my ministry and my calling. No, no, no, i'm not giving up and no

No, no, brother david. No, no, you're coming with me and don't you dare stay back and you're gonna come and don't start putting up

A fight i'll get you too

So you better start coming up here and we gotta praise together and we're gonna give together and we're gonna pray together and we're gonna

But you're not staying in that rut and you're not staying back

And I don't care how many mistakes you make and i'm gonna pull you up because when i'm down

You need to pull me up because we gotta be relentless

Somebody who's not relentless what happened to so-and-so? Uh, they just stopped coming. What do you mean?

They stopped. Did you go look for him? Did you go find him? Did you go fast for him?

Did you pray for him? Did you deliver them? Did you do something?

You need to be relentless church

From today forward our churches will be known as known as empowered churches those with apostolic roots and not afraid to say it

What are you christian it's okay to say apostolic ain't nothing wrong with it ain't gonna bite you

Well, maybe a little but not all the time

What's an empowered church acts one eight? We know that

And you shall receive power when the holy ghost has come upon you, right? But it's a church without limits

The primitive church used the persecution to grow you use the the persecution as an excuse not to do anything

Not to pray not to go not to do not to not to say no. No, we need to use it

the way they used it

An empowered church is a prospered church a prospered church. I said a prospered church

It's okay to be prospered y'all. It's okay to have a little bit of money. It's okay to do your thing. It's okay

I want you to that's a good thing. That's a blessing. It's not a bad thing

It's the love of money. That's the root of all the pain

It's the love of money. That's the root of all evil not money

Throughout the bible you'll see it the hebrews when they left egypt. They didn't just leave

The primitive church had everything in common and they were very blessed. They sold everything and they they were just blessed

An empowered church is a church in action a church that produces fruit and fruit that last

Not just smoke that only lasts for two hours on sunday

Uh an empowered church careful son, man, you can turn it off. I got myself

It's a church with a burden I says it's a church with a burden

The bible says that this same feeling being you like it was in christ

And we think oh, it's the feeling to love the souls. No, it's a feeling to die for them

The feeling to die for them. Are you willing to die for somebody?

Maybe that's the problem because you're you're willing to love them, but are you willing to die for them?

You're willing to tell them about jesus, but are you willing to die in other words to kill your saturday with all your friends?

In your outing. I don't know anything better. I don't even know the area, but I heard milpeda's the milpeda

Are you willing to kill that saturday to go to milpeda's mall to go fast for that person to go give them a bible study?

To go win them over to go stand in the corner and say this is where city light gets together

And this is where you can get your house in order and this is where you can get saved

And this is where you can get a miracle and this is where god will speak to you and this is the answer

Oh pastor, you mean you want me to come on the weekend too you want no no

No, I need you to kill your sleep. I need you to be willing to wake up when everybody else is asleep and intercede

I need you to be willing to do what not everybody's willing to do so that you can get what not everybody gets

Everybody sees the gifts everybody sees oh, I want that. Are you sure you want that?

Once they find out the processes they're like, oh well, well, maybe I don't want it all or maybe I don't want it like that

But we are an empowered church

Or we want to be

Well, that's who we're supposed to be church

It's a church in

revival

A church in revival is not one that says they're in revival. It's a church that has results

It's a church that's under the power of the holy spirit

Holy spirit and experiences miracle signs and wonders

Constantly and i'm not talking about that just the sick get healed but they get saved and i'm not talking about that

The captive get delivered, but they get converted

I'm getting ready to close don't get mad

A church an empowered church

Is a church that uses its keys uses its tools

Yes, you got the worship and yes, you got the praise

It's also generosity and knowing how to use the altar and knowing how to use prayer knowing how to use fasting

And knowing how to evangelize and knowing how to preach and knowing how to be under submission and knowing how to how to serve

Without a title you see I got a concept that house of hope and it's real simple

If you can't do it without the title, then you don't deserve the title

So are you after the title or are you after pleasing god

Because then I also know those people that with the title they want everybody to do it

But as soon as they don't have it they sit down they want everybody else to do it. I already did my part

That's not what god wants

Oh brother, this is weird. Yeah, it's a training session because of where you're going

I need I need to get it all out because because

In a bid you're gonna be like oh

That's why because the problem is this that a lot of the times we get the blessing because look you're gonna get the blessing

You're gonna get it

But if you're not ready, you're it's gonna go like water through your hands

Mostly you have a little bottle water

Next to you if god says i'm gonna give you a gallon of blessings. He's gonna give it to you

But if you can only capture eight ounces 12 ounces 16, that's all you're gonna say. Oh look

It's all here and it's all gonna go away

And then you're gonna get bitter and upset. Well, how come this and how come that it's because you didn't prepare

That's why god is here. That's what god is doing. He's molding you. He's preparing you. He's breaking you. He's expanding you

He's stretching you he's doing things

That you didn't expect

Because a lot of the times we just think we think that the church thing is oh it's because I thought I mean

How many of you know your pastor preach is good?

Let's not act

You thought he was gonna get the mic and man we were gonna get this place filled and we're gonna tell them

Hey, we need your spot too. And we're gonna that's what we thought because that's the way we think but the reality is god says

Yeah, i'll give it to you

But I need you to tear you and it's gonna cost you some I can't just every blessing you got to work at it

Every blessing even if he give you a million dollars. Guess what? You got to work at it and now you're gonna lose it

He's gonna give you a marriage, but you got to work at it

You're gonna lose it he's gonna give you kids and they're a blessing some of you well all of them

They're kids. They're blessed and you got to work at it

The only thing is praying for you and I told them here and there god's gonna do this in your church

Last night I went into prayer and I saw your church

And the lord says I want you to go and I want you to put order in the house. That's what he told me

And as I kept praying I was trying to ask god for clarity what it is that he wanted and what it is that he needed
