  1. In Proverbs chapter 23, I just want to use this

    Proverbs 23 chapter mention

  2. just to honor the moms here today. Proverbs 23

  3. and 5, it says, Let your father and your mother

  4. be glad, and let her who bore you rejoice. Amen.

  5. So this indeed, it's beautiful that we can take

  6. a day. Out of the year or two days for Los Mexicanos,

  7. they get two. Amen. The Mexicans, they get two

  8. Mother's Days. God bless them for that. Praise

  9. God. The dads don't get two, just the mothers.

  10. Amen. Lord, help us right there. Something went

  11. wrong. Praise God. But the moms, God bless them,

  12. you know. And it says, and let her, being your

  13. mother, who bore you, rejoice. And this is a

  14. day of rejoicing. And we're so happy and grateful

  15. for them. My thought for today is Pastor Jacob

  16. asked me to speak today on Mother's Day, and

  17. I greatly appreciate the opportunity. I have

  18. a thought for today that I'm going to draw from

  19. the book of St. Matthew, chapter 20, and verse

    Matthew 20 chapter mention

  20. 20 through 21. Matthew 20, 20 through 21. It

  21. says this way. Then came to him the mother of

  22. Zebedee's children with her sons, worshiping

  23. him and desiring a certain thing of him. And

  24. he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto

  25. him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, one

  26. on the right hand and the other on the left,

  27. in thy kingdom. Wow, what a request. Praise God.

  28. And I would like to give a theme or title to

  29. this message, if I may. The indelible impression

  30. of a mother. The indelible impression of a mother.

  31. If you can put up the next slide, what indelible

  32. means, and I'm going to be speaking on this.

  33. Indelible impression means deep -seated, deep

  34. -rooted. an ingrained impression through the

  35. influence of a mother upon her children." This

  36. is obviously something that it is not so much

  37. just an intuition, because an intuition is something

  38. more, something different that extends itself

  39. further into the upbringing. of the children.

  40. But this is what an indelible impression, meaning

  41. that mothers have a special place and favor of

  42. God upon them. And this is something that needs

  43. to be made worthy of knowing, is that moms have

  44. a special place. And not a lot is said in Bible

  45. times or in the characters of the Bible about

  46. the fathers here and there. But mothers, it seems

  47. like the stories that we engage in or we read

  48. about in biblical stories, the characters of

  49. the Bible, it seems as though moms, they have

  50. a special place. They just have a way of doing

  51. things that makes a huge influence on humanity.

  52. on people and especially their children. In our

  53. script of Matthew, we read about the mother of

  54. the sons of Zebedee. The name of the mother of

  55. the sons of Zebedee was Salome. Salome was not

  56. born divine. She did not, nor had any advantage

  57. over any other mother. She was just a regular

  58. mom, as somebody might say, for putting it bluntly.

  59. But she was simply a mother seeking a place in

  60. God's kingdom for her sons. So the name Salome

  61. means, if you could put that slide up, thank

  62. you. Salome means strength, peace, and covering.

  63. That's what... this mom's name means, strength,

  64. peace, and covering. So mothers have a dosage

  65. of incredible strength, a gift to bring peace,

  66. and also to secure a covering for her children.

  67. Salome's two sons, one named James and the other

  68. one named John, were professional fishermen.

  69. If you read the Gospels, they were not only fishermen,

  70. but they were were sons of a fisherman, of a

  71. businessman. They were not just casual fishermen.

  72. They were men of business, businessmen. In other

  73. words, this was their occupation. Not only were

  74. they good at it, they were professionals, and

  75. they were businessmen on top of that, who were

  76. among the first that were selected to be disciples

  77. of Jesus in His ministry, in His earthly ministry.

  78. Jesus selected these men. What He saw in them,

  79. put potentially you know, was because there was

  80. something deeper about these young men when God

  81. selected them. Yes, they were about their father's

  82. business, and they were fishing along their father's

  83. side, and they had a lot to do with the progress

  84. and the sustaining of the family and the family

  85. business. But these boys, these young men, as

  86. when the Lord called them, He called them not

  87. so much because they were good fishermen and

  88. they were men that are good businessmen. It wasn't

  89. that that impressed the Lord or why the Lord

  90. selected him. But I believe that the Lord chose

  91. them because of their character, the kind of

  92. men that they were. These men were stable in

  93. their minds and in their hearts. These men had

  94. an ingrained, amen, something about them. The

  95. influence upon their lives was something. that

  96. was worthy of the Lord looking upon them. Because

  97. you see, when God selects people, He doesn't

  98. just select them by how they look on the outside.

  99. He selects them by what they are in the inside.

  100. And I believe that a father has an influence

  101. on young men, especially on the outside and the

  102. exterior. He wants them to be men. He wants them

  103. to be strong. He wants us to have an occupation.

  104. And they were in the occupation. occupation of

  105. their father. But the Lord wasn't just looking

  106. for a fisherman. He was looking for men that

  107. were men of integrity, men that were touchable

  108. in the inside, men that could be sincere about

  109. the things that would be put upon them. And those

  110. kind of things are the influences of a mother.

  111. Praise the Lord, somebody. I don't want to disregard

  112. the fathers here today, but your sons or your

  113. daughters are not made up totally. about who

  114. the father is. The mother has great influence,

  115. amen, influence enough to get their boys such

  116. as Esau and Jacob when she influenced her son

  117. to do something that was difficult to do, praise

  118. God, and receiving the inheritance and the blessing

  119. of his father. But yet the mother understands

  120. the children. She understands her children even

  121. further, amen. And I believe that James and were

  122. known as the sons of thunder. These men, they

  123. just weren't the sons of thunder because they

  124. had bold muscles and they had a physique and

  125. they were fishermen and their skin was darkened

  126. by the sun. No, they were sons of thunder because

  127. something in the inside of them that was planted

  128. by a mom, a mother, amen, they didn't become

  129. the sons of thunder because the father taught

  130. them how to fish. They became the sons of thunder

  131. because the mom instilled something inside of

  132. their spirit. Relationship with Jesus was one

  133. of submission, faithfulness, loyalty, and profound

  134. love for their master. They were part of Jesus'

  135. inner circle. James and John, meaning they were

  136. most always closest to Jesus, both physically,

  137. emotionally, affectionately, and spiritually.

  138. These two boys, James and John, their character

  139. of James and John was a direct reflection of

  140. not only the dad, but very much influenced by

  141. their mother. Zebedee the father was responsible

  142. for their manhood characteristics while their

  143. mother Salome was responsible for shaping their

  144. innermost characteristics in their tender years.

  145. She taught and raised her boys in the peace and

  146. in the love of God. She is the one that taught

  147. them this is how you live a peaceful life and

  148. this is how you live a loving life. They had

  149. No fears. They had no anxieties. No insecurities.

  150. And most importantly, they knew the love of God.

  151. Can you say praise the Lord? They were boys of

  152. total commitment to family. Jesus found them

  153. about their father's business, obviously in the

  154. fishing company. But mom was their emotional

  155. covering. She sheltered and she protected them

  156. from the influences of the outside world. She

  157. was preparing them for their future. She was

  158. preparing them, Lord, you know, become purposeful

  159. in the work of God, not knowing she did her duty

  160. in shaping their lives with positive and sensitive

  161. characteristics toward God, first and foremost,

  162. and his truth. She encouraged them to be the

  163. best that they could possibly be and to reach

  164. their potential in life. regardless of what is

  165. around us. Your mother has a great influence

  166. upon your life so that you can press on. Yes,

  167. your father gives you the characteristics of

  168. the out and the exterior. That is true. But mom,

  169. she has a way of getting into your spirit. She

  170. has a way of leading you and guiding you. She

  171. has a way of depositing the things in your life

  172. that will carry you through. through life itself.

  173. And this is the works and the influences of a

  174. mother. She encouraged them to be the best that

  175. they could be, possibly, potentially be and reach

  176. their highest potential in life. Not very much

  177. is said about Salome, but her personality and

  178. her character are certainly revealed through

  179. her children, her two sons, the sons. of thunder.

  180. Oh, I'm sure that the Lord was very aware of

  181. how they got that name, how they received that

  182. sons of thunder spirit within them. You know,

  183. and Salome truly, pray she was the one that influenced

  184. them this way. What she did, it doesn't say exactly.

  185. It's not in scriptures. It's not much is said

  186. about her thereafter. But this woman was truly

  187. a prayerful woman. a woman that sought out God.

  188. Salome truly raised up her boys to be disciples.

  189. She took the training up of her children seriously.

  190. She didn't leave it up to the schools. She didn't

  191. leave it up to outside mentors. It was up to

  192. her in the home where she can gather her children

  193. around, and she can deposit the things in their

  194. lives. This is what a mom does. She deposits

  195. things. into our lives that will influence us

  196. years to come, way ahead of that. Oh, that's

  197. what mom told me. That's what mom said. I'm going

  198. to take mom's recipes, and I'm going to apply

  199. them to my life. She released strength and put

  200. the thunder in their spirits. She's the one that

  201. I, in my opinion, she's the one that is to receive,

  202. you know, the praise for putting that thunder

  203. into the spirit of her children. The influence

  204. of this mother prepared her children for greater

  205. things in life, just as we today, what you're

  206. doing today, where you are today, the influence

  207. of your mother, the prayers of your mother. saying

  208. that God doesn't listen to the prayers of the

  209. dads. He does listen to the prayers of the dads.

  210. But let me tell you, there ain't nothing like

  211. the prayer of a mother. Amen. Let me tell you,

  212. there's something else. Amen. I remember the

  213. story about Saul's sons and grandsons that were

  214. taken, amen, amen, into captivity. They were

  215. killed for something that, from the Jebusites,

  216. something that they had done wrong. And the mom

  217. named Rispa, She stayed up for six months. She

  218. never slept. She just stayed up as often as she

  219. could, protecting her children after they had

  220. been hung on a cross. And all her sons and her

  221. grandboys were all hung on the crosses. But she

  222. took care of her sons. The daddy does went there.

  223. His dad wasn't there. The father was not around

  224. to be found. But mama was there every day protecting

  225. her children so that the animals by night and

  226. by day. would not eat their children alive. But

  227. let me tell you, that's what mom's love is all

  228. about. She'll step out of the way. She'll protect

  229. her children. And that is, you don't want to

  230. get near a nest. You think that the father is

  231. tough. Look at the eagles, amen. Yes, the eagle

  232. dead. The male is flying around. But let me tell

  233. you, the one that's there protecting the nest

  234. is the mama. She's there. She's the one that

  235. feeds them. She's the one that gives them to

  236. eat. And she protects her. children. Last thing

  237. you want to do is mess around with the mama.

  238. Praise the Lord. Somebody say praise God for

  239. that, man. Your dad might be big and macho, but

  240. man, don't mess with mama. Hey, she'll turn all

  241. the hell loose on you. Praise God. She released

  242. strength into these young men that eventually

  243. became disciples and then eventually apostles.

  244. What did Salome do as a mother to prepare her

  245. children to impact the world with the gospel

  246. that saves lives? Amazing. Salome placed in her

  247. children the strength she placed in there. She

  248. deposited faith, faithfulness, loyalty, and enabled

  249. them to respond. to what was before them, not

  250. to be afraid, not to live in fear. She believed

  251. they were capable and could be trusted, and she

  252. had high expectations of her children. This is

  253. what moms do. They set these high expectations

  254. for their children. It says, my son can do it.

  255. My daughter can do it. You know, if anybody can

  256. do it, it's my children. Praise God. They're

  257. not afraid to be vocal in saying and tell the

  258. people about who her children are. She's proud

  259. of her children. She's proud of what she has

  260. brought up in this life. Mothers have a gift

  261. and an intuition. of influencing and instructing

  262. their children, amen, with spiritual sensitivity

  263. from the very early ages. She's the one that

  264. deposits that inside of their spirit. And that

  265. is what these sons of thunder received. What

  266. made Salome such a great mother was her great

  267. faith. Somebody say great faith today. Salome.

  268. had a great faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, or

  269. else she would not have made her request for

  270. her preferred treatment of her sons. Look at

  271. this. I mean, what would put it in a mother to

  272. ask of the Lord himself to do something as she

  273. requested? She says, I'm requesting that you

  274. put one on the left and the other one on your

  275. right. What about the rest of the world, mom?

  276. What about the Apostle Peter and the Apostle

  277. Paul and all the other apostles? No, no, no.

  278. I want James on one side and John on the other.

  279. See what mom wants? She wants the best place

  280. for her children. She wants the highest level,

  281. amen, just next to Jesus. And that is the desire

  282. of a mom, that her children be as close to Jesus

  283. as she can put them. It's her whole objective.

  284. It's her prayer. It's her desire. It's her want

  285. is for her children to be close to Jesus. That

  286. was her desire. Amen. She wanted preferred treatment.

  287. It wasn't that she, you know, didn't care about

  288. everybody else. She was thinking about her children.

  289. I want my child. I want my child to be sitting

  290. next to Jesus. Salome had faith in the ability

  291. and the faithfulness of her sons. She had high

  292. expectations of them. If the Lord said, well,

  293. why do you want me to consider them? Because

  294. they're the best there is. He can't compare my

  295. kids with nobody else. Praise God. I don't know

  296. if there's a mom like that here today. Is there

  297. a mom like that here today? I'm sure you're probably

  298. thinking, hey, if anybody's going to sit next

  299. to Jesus, it's going to be my child, my children.

  300. Praise God. Salome had that kind of a faith,

  301. you know, in the ability and the faithfulness

  302. of her. She believed in her children. She believed

  303. and she had great expectations for them. Salome

  304. had a warm love for Jesus Christ. She would not

  305. be able to impart anything that she did not have.

  306. And this is what she possessed herself. In Matthew

    Matthew 27:55

  307. 27, verse 55 and 56, it says, And many women

  308. were there beholding afar off, which followed

  309. Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him, among

  310. which was Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of

  311. James and Joseph, and the mother of the Zebedee's

  312. children. Look at what she was. She was devoted

  313. to the Lord Jesus Christ. She was not only a

  314. follower, she was a believer in the Lord Jesus

  315. Christ. She exemplified herself. She says, I'm

  316. gonna, and she... She basically, amen, she was

  317. one wanting to take, amen, the anointing oil

  318. to the Lord. Amen. Her faith and warm love were

  319. manifested in her presence at the tomb. She was

  320. at the tomb the morning of the resurrection.

  321. As it began to dawn on that day, the first day

  322. of the week, Solomon, amen, she was there. Let

  323. me tell you something. She was able. one of the

  324. first witnesses, even before the disciples, excuse

  325. me, you know, Peter and all the other disciples,

  326. they're over there fishing and carrying on the

  327. way they were, amen, doubting everything. But

  328. Salome was not doubting the resurrection. She

  329. believed in the resurrection. She believed that

  330. Jesus was coming out on the third day, and she

  331. was there to anoint it. Solomon had great and

  332. exalting love. Amen. For God, we admire her for

  333. attempting to get best possible place in God's

  334. kingdom for her two sons. This is the attitude

  335. that great mothers possess. They will seek out

  336. the best for their children, even in the kingdom

  337. of God. Amen. She was criticized for aggressiveness,

  338. amen, by bystanders. But Jesus heard her request.

  339. Didn't matter. Amen. If other people were hearing

  340. her, it didn't matter if other people wanted

  341. the same thing. She was going to voice her request

  342. to the Lord Jesus. This is what I want for my

  343. children. This is what I want for the sons of

  344. thunder. I put that thunder in them, and they're

  345. ready and able to do whatever. Lord Jesus, please

  346. sit them down next to you. What a request. I

  347. don't know if any of you mamas here today believe

  348. that your children should be, amen, next to Jesus.

  349. We're at the highest place, praise God, of honor,

  350. amen. That's a desire of every mother, not only

  351. for her sons, but for her daughters and all her

  352. children the same equally. She loves all her

  353. children. It just so happened to be that there

  354. was James and John in this occasion. But let

  355. me tell you, the reason why John, John was so

  356. loving to Christ why he was the one that was

  357. always putting his head on the bosom of Christ.

  358. He was always so close to him. It was not because

  359. he learned that from dad. He learned that from

  360. mom. Mom always wanted to be close to Christ.

  361. She was a follower and believer of Christ. Praise

  362. God. And Peter and John, John and James were

  363. in the inner circle of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  364. They didn't get there by coincidence. They got

  365. in there because of their character. Their preparation,

  366. their inner love, the peace they had. Amen. And

  367. the Lord, he knew that all along. That's why

  368. he picked the two of them. He says, Mama prepared

  369. these boys. She prepared them to be disciples

  370. and eventually apostles. And that came from Mama.

  371. She's the one that prepared him. Praise the Lord.

  372. Moms, you can prepare your children to be the

  373. greatest people in the world. You can prepare

  374. your children, amen, to come. Carry out great

  375. accomplishments in life because you have it in

  376. you. You just instill it, believe it, encourage

  377. them, move them on their way of life, and you're

  378. going to see how they're going to bring you back,

  379. amen, prizes and rewards and so many things.

  380. God is good. He blesses and listens to the prayer

  381. and the request of the mother. Praise the Lord.

  382. Her request obviously was not granted. Hello,

  383. but. It was not granted, denied, you know, but

  384. the Lord, he couldn't do that. I mean, there

  385. was no, there weren't three seats on the throne,

  386. man. There was only one, you know, and she wanted

  387. an extra two. My gosh, she was changing theology

  388. right there. You know, at least she attempted

  389. to, praise God. But a good thing she didn't,

  390. because then they would say there was a triune

  391. God or something. I don't know. Amen. But nonetheless,

  392. she, nothing wrong with asking, right? El que

  393. pide, recibe. You ask, you get. Amen. Y si no

  394. pide, no recibe nada.

  399. He said, no por pidichi. Y luego el otro, y lo

  400. resto de esto es porque no piden. Así que nadie

  401. agarró nada, nobody got nothing. Amen. That didn't

  402. cost you nothing there, but it doesn't hurt to

  403. ask. It doesn't hurt to ask somebody, Lord, please

  404. put my children in the best place. I want my

  405. son to be this. I want my daughter to be this.

  406. I want my grandchildren serving you, Lord. Put

  407. them in the best place possible. Use them for

  408. your glory. Hallelujah. And she did not get it

  409. granted to her. Amen. But in time, they did have

  410. a great place. In God's kingdom work. Oh, let

  411. me tell you something. I believe that every time,

  412. you know, I'm sure that the Lord had some humor.

  413. You know, he probably chuckled at her. He says,

  414. oh, my God, this woman, you know. You know, he

  415. had a sense of humor. But I can imagine later

  416. on when he was thinking about, you know, while

  417. using his apostles and giving out gifts, you

  418. know, in the kingdom. James and John came into

  419. my, I'm sure you remember Salome. Oh my gosh,

  420. she did ask me. Praise God. And I'm sure because

  421. they became great men of God, apostles. Salome

  422. was a woman then in pursuit of spiritual things.

  423. She came to Jesus worshiping him, the Bible says.

  424. She came to Jesus with a prayer. She listened

  425. and learned as much as possible because she was

  426. a devout disciple. She wasn't one of those that

  427. were chosen, come and follow me and I'll make

  428. you fishers of men. The Lord never told her that.

  429. But let me tell you, if there was a faithful

  430. follower of Jesus, it was Salome. She was there.

  431. She was there. She understood. She believed.

  432. She accepted correction from the Lord. She was

  433. able and mature enough. When the Lord told her,

  434. no, okay, Lord, no problem. I still love you.

  435. I'm still going to serve you. She did not theologically

  436. understand the kingdom of God. But one thing

  437. she did know, it's a good thing to be close to

  438. Jesus. And she wanted her children to be close

  439. to Jesus. And I pray today. that all mothers

  440. have this same desire and this same request of

  441. the Lord for their children. How many mothers

  442. here want the best for your children? Don't you

  443. want them to be seated next to Jesus? Don't you

  444. want the best place for your children to be servants

  445. of God in the kingdom of God, serving Him with

  446. gladness and joy? But it's going to be your prayer,

  447. mom. Your prayer is powerful. Moms, I encourage

  448. you today. Don't ever give up praying for your

  449. children. Don't ever stop pleading before God

  450. for your children. Don't give up on your prayers.

  451. Know that God has heard you. It doesn't matter

  452. if your son or your daughter or your grandkids

  453. are wayward in the Lord. That doesn't matter.

  454. You go to the Lord and pray or believe. God's

  455. going to change things. going to bring a prodigal

  456. home. God's going to bring that one home. He'll

  457. bring this one home. God is a God that answers

  458. prayer. And more than all, He answers the prayers

  459. of a mother. Because this is what God does. He

  460. listens to the mothers. He listens to their prayers.

  461. It concerns Him how mothers feel. His heart is

  462. there as He was with His own mother. Amen. He

  463. believes in you. He wants you to talk to Him.

  464. Talk! Take him and he will answer your prayer.

  465. This is what he does. I know this for a fact.

  466. I've seen moms pray for their children. I've

  467. seen how God can change things in favor of her

  468. children. I've seen many, and I know many testimonies

  469. where moms never gave up. They just did not give

  470. up. I remember years ago, there was a family

  471. that we had the privilege of winning to the Lord

  472. many years ago, and they were renters of mine,

  473. and one of my renters and they were renting,

  474. and I began to witness to them and the families

  475. there, and they eventually came to the Lord.

  476. But the good thing is, in one of those families,

  477. she had several sons. And she got converted.

  478. She gave her life to the Lord. And as she was

  479. serving the Lord, her children were all boys.

  480. She had all sons. And they had hardly nothing.

  481. She was a single mom trying to raise up all these

  482. boys. And they didn't have much money. And one

  483. day she was in the kitchen table, and she didn't

  484. have no food. They had no food. I wasn't aware

  485. of it. I did not know. But later I found out

  486. by testimony that one of the sons gave. And he

  487. says, Mom, she set the table. She put the table.

  488. She put dishes out. And she put all the utensils

  489. were out. And she put pots on the table. But

  490. the pots were empty. There was nothing in the

  491. pots. They had no food. And she just served it.

  492. And the kid said, Mom, the pots are empty. What

  493. are we going to eat? He says, Don't worry. going

  494. to pray right now. We're going to pray. And God

  495. is a provider. Just as the song said, he's still

  496. the provider. Amen. And as they began to pray,

  497. and they began to pray, and the mom says, Lord,

  498. these are my boys. These are my children that

  499. you've given me. We need a miracle today. We

  500. need you to do something, Lord, for our home.

  501. We need to eat. And the pots were empty. Amen.

  502. But as they were praying over the empty pots,

  503. there was a knock on the door. door. Somebody

  504. was knocking on the door. And as they finished

  505. praying, she says, go answer the door. And one

  506. of the boys went to answer the door. And there

  507. was a lady standing outside with a bunch of bags

  508. and things on her she says i don't know why but

  509. something told me to bring you guys dinner and

  510. she came into the house amen and they fed all

  511. the children i'm going to tell you something

  512. god listens to the prayers of a mother amen because

  513. if her mother if the children are hungry all

  514. she's got to do is pray to god and god will send

  515. forth whatever you need two of those boys became

  516. ministers. Two of the sons are ministers today,

  517. still serving God. And this is the reality. They

  518. could never forget the prayers of the mom was

  519. the one that encouraged her. She was a single

  520. mom, but she raised them and raised them and

  521. raised them, amen, till they became ministers,

  522. amen. Isn't that something? And she desired the

  523. best for her children. And those are unforgettable

  524. testimonies for that family. But the prayers

  525. of a mom, they go a long ways. Let me tell you

  526. something. I'm not against dads praying. Dad's

  527. praying for the mortgage, you know. Dad's praying

  528. for the car that's not running, you know. And,

  529. you know, Dad has this prayer. Praise God. But

  530. Mom, she's praying for the children. I'm praying

  531. for my children. Lord, put in my son and my daughter

  532. that desire to serve you, Lord. And that's the

  533. prayer of a mom. I know what it is because that's

  534. the way my mother prayed for me. And I can still

  535. hear the prayers. And let me tell you something.

  536. It's powerful. God hears. the prayers of a mother.

  537. You have not only influence in your children,

  538. you have influence in heaven. You can move heaven

  539. with your prayers. You can move heaven with your

  540. desire. You can move things. Impossible things

  541. will happen for you, for your children, because

  542. that's the prayer of a mother. Mothers can request

  543. of the Lord greatness for their children. to

  544. be blessed and used in God's kingdom. Mom has

  545. that ability. And I encourage you, Mom, today.

  546. I encourage you, as I said a moment ago, don't

  547. give up. Don't give up on that. Don't give up,

  548. you know, if you have a struggling child, you

  549. know, maybe they're not in the path you would

  550. want them to be, but just keep your faith and

  551. know that everything is going to be all right.

  552. The Lord is going to see you through. The Lord

  553. is going to answer your prayer. Amen. As I mentioned

  554. some time ago about... One of my testimonies

  555. about how my mother gave me a letter to take

  556. to the military. Amen. Let me tell you, there

  557. ain't nothing more powerful than when mom sits

  558. down and writes something in faith, believing

  559. for her children. God's going to move mountains

  560. for you, my sister. Amen. Believe it. Believe

  561. it. God is true, and every man is a liar. Whatever

  562. you put before God, God's going to listen to

  563. you. He's going to answer you. you. He doesn't

  564. just see another mother. He sees his own mother.

  565. He sees you. He sees you in his mother. That's

  566. what a mother's love is. He saw his mom crying.

  567. He saw his mom going through what she did. But

  568. you know what? He also sees you. He sees your

  569. pain, your struggles, and he listens to your

  570. prayer. Blessed be the name of the Lord. What

  571. on earth was this mom thinking? May my son sit

  572. on your left, on your right hand in your kingdom.

  573. There's nothing more powerful than that, that

  574. desire, that want. For those mothers here today,

  575. I want to encourage you again to dream big dreams

  576. for your children. Dream big. It's never too

  577. late. Dream big dreams for your children and

  578. never give up on those dreams. Don't throw them

  579. aside. Amen. You got to pray, man. You got to

  580. pray for your children. Don't abandon your dream.

  581. Don't push it aside and say, forget it. My kids

  582. are growing. No, no, no. You keep believing God.

  583. You keep believing God. That's the prayer of

  584. a mom. It's powerful. Mom, you are powerful.

  585. You have so much. On your side, God is listening

  586. to you. He sees you. He hears you. Praise God.

  587. And your prayers will continue. He bottles the

  588. tears of a mom in the bottle. Tears are bottled.

  589. They're not forgotten. I was at a funeral many,

  590. many years ago. Praise God. And actually, I was

  591. not there. But I received this firsthand testimony

  592. of the pastor that was there. And he was presiding

  593. over a funeral of a mom that all her children

  594. were not serving the Lord. taught them all her

  595. life. Oh, man, she did everything she could to

  596. teach her children to serve the Lord, and none

  597. of them came to the Lord. And, you know, she

  598. went on to be with the Lord and at her funeral.

  599. At her funeral, she was there at the front. It

  600. was at the First Church of San Jose. And the

  601. pastor at that time was Bishop Danny John. He

  602. was the pastor. And they were praying over the

  603. mom. And, you know, Danny John, if you knew him,

  604. the man, he preached revival at a funeral, you

  605. know. And he was preaching, man. He was just.

  606. You know, why Revival Terry's, I think that was

  607. his main topic. But he was preaching and preaching,

  608. and all the family was sitting there. She had

  609. a lot of children. In that funeral service that

  610. night, the power of God moved so powerfully that

  611. her children began to get the Holy Ghost in the

  612. pews. At the funeral, her kids jumped up speaking

  613. in tongues. They got filled with the Holy Ghost.

  614. At the mom's funeral service. Amen. And there

  615. was a great outpouring. And immediately days

  616. after, they were baptizing. That was the Medrano

  617. family. I don't know if you know the Medrano

  618. family. They were baptizing and baptizing and

  619. baptizing. All the Medranos were getting baptized.

  620. Amen. And let me tell you something. Mom's prayer.

  621. was answered. Her prayer was answered. Two of

  622. her sons, or actually son -in -laws became pastors.

  623. No, three of them. Her son became a pastor and

  624. two son -in -laws became pastors out of that

  625. funeral. Come on somebody, don't tell me that

  626. God doesn't listen to the prayers of a mom. She

  627. may have been gone with the Lord, but the Lord

  628. didn't forget her prayer at her funeral that

  629. was now pouring. Let me tell you something. That's

  630. how God listens to the prayers of a mom. Mom,

  631. you pray that prayer. You tell it before. It

  632. might seem impossible, but don't give up on it.

  633. Say, in the name of Jesus, Lord, I decree it

  634. upon my children. Use your tuition, your persuasiveness,

  635. your motherly, gentle, generous faith to approach

  636. God on behalf of your children. You have favor

  637. with God. You have favor with family. And you

  638. have favor with your children. They call you

  639. blessed.
