  1. Amen, I'm by you now, I'm going to go into the

  2. word of the Lord today, John Chapter 14, I am

    John 14 chapter mention

  3. concluding our series on countdown to eternity,

  4. countdown to eternity, and. There is more that

  5. actually I would have liked to look at in terms

  6. of prophecy, things to come, and if the Lord

  7. will allow, I'm going to revisit this theme at

  8. a later point this year to kind of. look at some

  9. other future things on the horizon but we're

  10. going to at least put closure to this phase of

  11. this series and i'll be reading john chapter

    John 14:1–3

  12. 14 verses 1 through 3 jesus said these words

  13. let not your heart be troubled you believe in

  14. god believe also in me amen not sure if that's

  15. there on the screen but No, you can follow along

  16. on your Bible or your app. In my Father's house

  17. are many mansions. If it were not so, I would

  18. have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

  19. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will

  20. come again and receive you to myself. that where

  21. I am there, you may be also somebody say man

  22. going to preach today simply homesick for heaven,

  23. homesick for heaven. Let's pray briefly. Father,

  24. we love you today. Thank you for your spirit.

  25. That is so real in this place. We ask God now

  26. that as we are about to partake and. receive

  27. your word that we would do so with gladness that

  28. this word like a seed would fall on good ground

  29. and that we would be encouraged today comforted

  30. challenged and motivated god for those things

  31. that you have prepared for us anoint my lips

  32. god season my words with salt i ask this god

  33. be glorified in this place in the name of jesus

  34. christ we pray someone say amen amen you can

  35. be seated in God's presence. I wonder if you

  36. have ever felt homesick before. Maybe after being

  37. away from home for a period of time, you eventually

  38. start to miss the comforts, familiarity of home.

  39. At least I do. Even when you're on vacation and

  40. enjoying yourself, there always comes that point,

  41. even on vacation, right, where you just want

  42. to go home, even if it's just to touch base and

  43. start planning your next vacation. But you just

  44. want to go home and enjoy the comforts that only

  45. home can provide. The most relaxing hotel bed,

  46. Can't compare to your own bed. Amen. You know

  47. why? Because your bed knows you. Somebody say

  48. amen. It knows you. It's already molded to you.

  49. Amen. The finest restaurant meal, as great as

  50. it might be, cannot satisfy like a good home

  51. -cooked meal. Made with love. Amen. Preparation.

  52. And even when you're visiting other countries,

  53. sometimes after you've eaten all of their food,

  54. you want to go home and have some hamburgers

  55. and good old American breakfast. Amen, somebody?

  56. You just want like that home cooking. Amen. That's

  57. how it is whenever we are away from home. And

  58. I don't know about you, but for me, it always

  59. also seems like the journey home feels longer

  60. than the trip away. I don't know, something about

  61. that flight or that ride home always feels longer.

  62. Every time we go on a road trip, we get there

  63. in no time. And then coming home, I always look

  64. over to my wife and say, why does it feel so

  65. much longer? Because you just want to get home.

  66. And that's all you can think about. I began to

  67. look. For different words. Those of you who know,

  68. I like words and different synonyms and different

  69. types of expressions. And so I began to think

  70. about what kinds of words are there for when

  71. you're missing a vacation. You know, there's

  72. no word in our vocabulary for missing a vacation.

  73. They haven't invented one yet. There's no word

  74. for being vacation sick, for being travel sick.

  75. or even away sick, but there is a special word

  76. for missing home. And whoever invented that word,

  77. they called it homesick. Because we needed a

  78. word. You know, we needed a concept to describe

  79. that feeling we feel when we miss home. What

  80. if I told you today that your spirit is homesick?

  81. That it longs for a place that you've never seen,

  82. but were created to live in forever. And that

  83. place today is called heaven. Someone say heaven.

  84. In this series, we've looked at a variety of

  85. areas. We've talked about, I preached about the

  86. temporariness of this world. I preached about

  87. the realities of hell. Preached about the book

  88. of life and... the catching away of the church,

  89. the rapture. But today, we're going to look even

  90. further beyond to that place as we were seeing

  91. a few moments ago where the streets are paved

  92. with gold and there are no more tears or sorrow.

  93. We're looking today at heaven, our eternal home

  94. with Jesus Christ. Now, before we look at what's

  95. waiting for us, In this place called heaven,

  96. I think it's important to first at least clarify

  97. what the Bible means when we talk about heaven.

  98. In the Bible, there are at least three types

  99. of heavens that are mentioned. The Bible mentions

  100. three heavens, and you'll see this word used

  101. time and again, but it doesn't always mean what

  102. we think it means. The first heaven, or there

  103. are three levels of heavens. The first heaven

  104. is the sky. It is the atmosphere above us where

  105. the birds are flying. The second heaven is outer

  106. space. The moon, the sun, the planets, the stars,

  107. all the galaxies, that would be considered the

  108. second heaven. The third heaven is the dwelling

  109. place of God. This is what Scripture refers to

  110. as... the heaven of heavens, as Moses called

  111. the highest heaven, or the place that Paul called

  112. paradise. So when we talk about heaven today,

  113. as I preach about this place, we're not talking

  114. about the sky above us, nor the outer space,

  115. the galaxies, but we're talking about the dwelling

  116. place of God, about that eternal state of heaven,

  117. If you study scripture, especially the book of

  118. Revelations, which I know, I know that many Christians

  119. don't invest much time studying that book because

  120. they just assume that it's just too difficult

  121. to understand, too hard. And so you know what

  122. a lot of Christians do? They're like, well, as

  123. long as I make it. You know, as long as I, that's

  124. all they concern themselves with. Usually it's

  125. just like, well, I don't understand all that

  126. stuff. I just want to go. And you can take that

  127. approach if you'd like to, but I believe that

  128. your faith, your excitement, your enthusiasm

  129. for that place that God has prepared for us would

  130. only increase, your faith here would only increase

  131. if you would dare to look a little deeper into

  132. what God has prepared for us. It doesn't mean

  133. you have to become... a prophecy expert or be

  134. able to explain the book of Revelations frontwards

  135. and backwards. But what it means is that if you

  136. can at least learn or understand a few of the

  137. basic things that God has prepared for us in

  138. sort of this basic timeline, then it would at

  139. least bring you comfort and encouragement, confidence

  140. in knowing that God has a plan. How many of you

  141. know he's got a plan? I said God's got a plan.

  142. There will be a period. into the future after

  143. many years. It'll renew. The state of heaven

  144. will renew after a time period called the millennium

  145. or a thousand -year period where Christ will

  146. reign on the earth. So Jesus is coming back for

  147. his church. He's going to rapture us, and then

  148. that's going to initiate a seven -year period

  149. called the tribulation. And that period will

  150. be a time of testing here where there's going

  151. to be a lot of turbulence, a lot of violence,

  152. a lot of things that are going to unfold here

  153. in this world. But in that period of time, you

  154. and I, if we are ready, well, we're going to

  155. be with the Lord. We're going to be in heaven.

  156. Thank God we're not going to have to sit here

  157. through all that tribulation. Amen. There are

  158. some that hold different beliefs about this,

  159. and you need to be... Vigilant and careful about

  160. what types of things that you may be reading

  161. or learning. There's some confusion about when

  162. Jesus is going to come, when this whole timeline

  163. begins. Got to be certain about the fact that

  164. we are pre -tribulation believers. We believe

  165. that Jesus is going to rescue us from this place

  166. before that period of tribulation begins. So

  167. there are many that are pre -trib like us. Some

  168. are post -trib. Some are mid -trib. And some

  169. are just tripping. Praise God. They don't know

  170. what they believe. Okay? But we're not, some

  171. would say, I ain't tripping today. God's going

  172. to rescue me out of here. Come on. Hallelujah.

  173. Some of you are afraid to laugh. You're afraid

  174. to smile. All right. Praise God. God's going

  175. to take us out of here. And when that happens,

  176. that seven -year period will come. It's going

  177. to be a big battle. It's going to be a battle

  178. of Armageddon. That happens. Then Christ is coming

  179. back again. He's going to win the victory. All

  180. the saints, and I am condensing a lot of this

  181. today because there's a lot in this study, but

  182. all the saints are going to come back. Amen.

  183. We're going to be a part of that great victory

  184. that God's going to bring for his people in that

  185. battle. And from that period on, a thousand years,

  186. Christ and the church, his saints, his children,

  187. are going to reign here on earth. And this is

  188. ultimately where heaven will meet earth once

  189. again, and we will live with him forever. So

  190. in this place that God is preparing for us, what

  191. kind of place will it be? Well, let me first

  192. tell you that heaven is a prepared place. It

  193. is a prepared place. Heaven, contrary to what

  194. many believe, is ultimately not some cloudy space

  195. in the sky. not some vague concept, not some

  196. foggy place beyond the blue. Heaven is a real

  197. place. Heaven is not what you see depicted on

  198. murals, in chapels, or in stained glass sometimes.

  199. We're not going to be like angels with little

  200. wings, playing harps, sitting in the clouds.

  201. That's not what heaven is going to be like. It

  202. is a real place. It is a physical, tangible,

  203. literal place that God is preparing for his people.

  204. Amen. It's the place that Abraham had in mind

  205. when Scripture says that he waited for a city.

  206. And I preached this at the beginning of this

  207. series. He waited for a city, a real city, which

  208. has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

  209. So from the saints of old to the New Testament

  210. saints, There was a belief. There was this hope

  211. that God was preparing a literal city, a place

  212. where you can plant your feet. This place is

  213. real. This place is tangible. And he's preparing

  214. it for us. Jesus is the chief architect. He is

  215. the builder of this place. So God himself is,

  216. he is designing, he is preparing, he is constructing

  217. this place. for us, for all of his people. So

  218. it's not left for chance. It's not some blob

  219. of space in the sky. It's not some theoretical,

  220. foggy, spiritual place where we're just going

  221. to be in a dreamlike, you know, fuzzy ghost -like

  222. state. It is going to be a literal place, tangible.

  223. In fact... John, the writer of Revelation, he

  224. saw a glimpse of this prepared place in Revelations

  225. 21. Where he says that one day heaven would come

  226. down to earth and that God would make all things

  227. new. He writes these words in verse 1 of Revelations

  228. 21. He says, now I saw a new heaven and a new

  229. earth. For the first heaven and the first earth

  230. had passed away. So currently there is a heaven

  231. and currently there is an earth. We're sitting

  232. here right now on the earth. There's coming a

  233. day in future glory where God's going to make

  234. everything brand spanking new. The earth is getting

  235. a makeover. Even heaven is going to get a makeover.

  236. God, so the way heaven is currently not going

  237. to look the same in the future. God's going to,

  238. he's going to go back to the drawing board. He's

  239. going to make everything brand new. Also, there

  240. was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city,

  241. the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven

  242. from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her

  243. husband. And this church is where we're going

  244. to live forever in a new heaven on earth or what

  245. John described as a new Jerusalem, a holy city.

  246. So the reality is, our eternal home is ultimately

  247. not going to be someplace in the sky beyond,

  248. you know, the planet Pluto or Jupiter or something

  249. like that, beyond the sun. Our eternal home ultimately

  250. is going to be right back here on earth. But

  251. this is how it's going to be. It's going to be

  252. brand new, and heaven is coming down to earth.

  253. And this is going to be that eternal place that

  254. we are going to reside with God. And we're not

  255. going to be here as disembodied spirits. We're

  256. not just going to be eyeballs floating around.

  257. We're not just going to be roaming the airwaves

  258. with white robes and wings. We are going to have

  259. resurrected, glorified bodies. Woo, praise God.

  260. Some people think they already have their glorified

  261. body. Hallelujah. You don't yet. Amen. Spend

  262. all the time in the gym you want to, my friend.

  263. Ultimately, God's got a better glorified body

  264. for you in the future. Amen. I'm not saying don't

  265. go to the gym if you want to. Praise God. I'm

  266. just saying it's going to get better. Praise

  267. the Lord. Hallelujah. And we're going to have

  268. these resurrected, glorified bodies. And in that

  269. body, we're going to enjoy this new world. this

  270. place that God has prepared for us. Now, eye

  271. has not seen and ear has not heard. So bear with

  272. me today. As many words that I can pull from

  273. my dictionary, as many pictures I can draw, there

  274. is no adequate way for a human, for a flawed

  275. and limited person like me to be able to describe

  276. to you in a way that's going to, there's just

  277. no way I can possibly describe this place for

  278. what it is. God's got something. far beyond what

  279. our minds can fathom, far beyond what any human

  280. imagination could think of. God's got something

  281. good. And how many of you think that's awesome?

  282. Amen. There's nothing in this world. that can

  283. compare to the place that God is preparing for

  284. us. Not the most beautiful remote island somewhere

  285. with crystal clear waters, no palace, no home

  286. on a hill. There is nothing that can compare

  287. to this place that God has prepared for us. Somebody

  288. give God some praise today. Amen. This is where

  289. the Father's house will be. And if you, if you're

  290. saved, let me make sure I mention that. If you're

  291. saved, you gotta make sure you're saved, this

  292. will be your dwelling place. And on that note,

  293. we need to clear up at least one important fact

  294. about what this place is going to be like. Jesus

  295. said, in my Father's house are many mansions.

  296. Many mansions. Now that word mansion has confused

  297. some. Based on the translation of the Bible that

  298. you're reading, the King James Version uses that

  299. word mansion. And there are some others. But

  300. that's not the best translation of the original

  301. word. And I know that we sing songs and songs

  302. have been written based on this idea that one

  303. day, you know, when we get to heaven, God's going

  304. to give you the keys to your brand new 20 room,

  305. 15 bathroom. 10 car garage with a boneyard mansion.

  306. I got some of you excited right there. Well,

  307. I'm about to burst your bubble right now. Because

  308. in the original Greek, that word mansion doesn't

  309. mean mansion the way you think it means mansion,

  310. my friend. It actually means rooms or dwelling

  311. places. So if you want your mansion, you better

  312. get it on this side. Hallelujah. Because you

  313. ain't getting one up there. Jesus said, in my

  314. Father's house there are many mansions. And it

  315. doesn't even make sense if you think about it.

  316. Well, how can a house have a bunch of mansions

  317. in it? Exactly. What Jesus is saying is in my

  318. Father's house or in my abode, in my dwelling

  319. place in heaven, I've got all these rooms in

  320. space. In other words, there's enough room for

  321. everybody in my Father's house. Praise be to

  322. God. He said, I've got space for you. I've got

  323. rooms for you. I don't know if this is going

  324. to look like the Plaza Hotel in New York. Probably

  325. going to look better than that. I'm not sure

  326. if this is going to be like a resort, but I know

  327. that he's got plenty of room for each of you.

  328. He's preparing that place. Amen. And I think

  329. that's something far better. You're getting somewhere

  330. far better. Hallelujah. A prepared place in the

  331. presence of the Lord, a heavenly household. Somebody

  332. give God a praise for that. I thank the Lord

  333. for that. Heaven is also not only a prepared

  334. place, it's a populated place. Oh, there may

  335. be some that have this idea of heaven as being

  336. this quiet, solitary, some of you that is heaven,

  337. right? Where everyone leaves me alone, I'm sorry,

  338. but you're not going to be alone if you go there.

  339. It's not a remote island. Not a solitary place.

  340. It's not that at all. Heaven, the Bible tells

  341. us, is going to be full of life. Full of life.

  342. Full of laughter. Hallelujah. Full of worship.

  343. Revelation 7 and verse 9, John again describes

  344. a great multitude which no one could Of all nations,

  345. tribes, peoples and tongues standing before the

  346. throne and before the lamb dressed in white robes

  347. and worshiping the lamb of God. Can I tell you

  348. today that heaven is going to be buzzing with

  349. people? Whoo. Hallelujah. I said it's going to

  350. be buzzing with people. There are people there.

  351. It's going to be a highly populated place. But

  352. who exactly are we going to see when we get there?

  353. Who exactly are we going to run into when we

  354. get to that place? First of all, you're going

  355. to run into at some point all the saints from

  356. the Bible, all the faithful saints of God, which

  357. the writer of Hebrews describes as that great

  358. cloud of witnesses. Oh, hallelujah. You know

  359. who's going to be there? Abraham's going to be

  360. there. Moses is going to be there. Paul is going

  361. to be. How many of you would like to have a conversation

  362. with Paul? Huh? Peter's going to be there. I

  363. like to ask Peter, man, why'd you cut that guy's

  364. ear off, man? How'd that go for you, huh? Hallelujah.

  365. Esther's going to. How would you like to meet

  366. Esther? Hallelujah. Ruth is going to be there.

  367. And Mary is going to be there. They're all going

  368. to be there. Elijah and Elisha. Hallelujah. All

  369. the saints of the Bible are going to be there.

  370. They're there waiting for us. And I think that's

  371. going to be pretty cool, you know, to be able

  372. to meet these people. Amen. How many of you are

  373. looking forward to meeting those people? Huh?

  374. It's going to be pretty awesome. It's going to

  375. be pretty awesome. Not only that, you know who

  376. else you're going to see there? You're going

  377. to be reunited with friends. And loved ones and

  378. family who have gone before us in the Lord. Hallelujah.

  379. You see, the hope that we have when we lay to

  380. rest someone who's gone to be with the Lord is

  381. that while we're saying goodbye, what we're really

  382. saying is, I'll see you soon. What we're really

  383. saying is, I'll see you again. And the comfort

  384. and the hope. that we have and the encouragement

  385. that we have and the confidence that we have

  386. is knowing that one day, oh, hallelujah, if you

  387. have any family members, I'm talking to somebody

  388. today, grandparents, parents, some of you have

  389. had to say goodbye to your parents in the last

  390. year, aunts and uncles who have died in the Lord,

  391. I want you to know that there is coming a day

  392. where you're going to be reunited with them.

  393. I want you to know what it's, oh, hallelujah.

  394. Can you imagine what it would feel like to hug

  395. your mom again? To hug your dad again, to hug

  396. your grandparent again, to hug your aunt, to

  397. hug your friend, to hug that mentor you are again.

  398. I've come to bring you hope today and tell you

  399. that there is coming a day in glory land. There

  400. is coming a time where we get to the other side

  401. with Jesus, where we're going to see those saints

  402. of old, where we're going to see those that have

  403. gone on before us, and we're going to be able

  404. to embrace them again. what a time. I don't know

  405. if this encourages anybody. I'm looking forward

  406. to seeing my grandpa again. I'm looking forward

  407. to seeing my friend again that I've had to lay

  408. to rest here. But you've got to be encouraged

  409. today. You've got to know that there's coming

  410. a day in glory where you're going to be reunited

  411. with those loved ones in faith. You're going

  412. to embrace them. Come on. Is there anybody here

  413. today that's encouraged by the fact that we have

  414. laid them to rest knowing that it's not the end,

  415. but that one day we shall. I'll see them again!

  416. Can you imagine what they're going to look like

  417. in their glorified bodies? I don't know how old

  418. they're going to look. I'm not sure. You know,

  419. I might see my grandpa, you know, at his youngest,

  420. in his prime, you know. I might see, you know,

  421. because there's no getting old over there, you

  422. know. The person that you saw that had a limp,

  423. they ain't going to be walking with a limp anymore.

  424. Oh, what a time it's going to be. What a family

  425. reunion it's going to be when we come together

  426. with the saints that have gone on to be with

  427. us. With the Lord. And what a time it's going

  428. to be. But it's going to get better than that.

  429. Because as we gather together. With the saints

  430. from the Bible. And the saints that have died

  431. in our lifetime. Most of all. We're going to

  432. see Jesus. Jesus Christ himself. Is going to

  433. be there. The Lamb of God. The mighty God. Is

  434. going to be there in all. Oh, what a time we're

  435. going to have. Somebody give God some praise

  436. today. Heaven is not heaven without Jesus. Heaven

  437. is not heaven without Jesus. And what makes heaven

  438. heaven is the fact that we're going to see him

  439. face to face. Oh, my God. And that's what I'm

  440. living for. The beauty of heaven is not. Also,

  441. I know we were saying we get excited. The streets

  442. are paved with gold and pearling gates. Hey,

  443. you know what? You can have your streets with

  444. gold and you can have your pearling gate. I'm

  445. there because Jesus is going to be there. That's

  446. what that what makes heaven beautiful. It's the

  447. presence of God. Oh, hallelujah. Makes me think

  448. of that song. I can only imagine. Oh, yes. With

  449. my mind's eye. can only imagine what it will

  450. be like. Will I? Will I dance before your presence?

  451. Hallelujah. Will I? Will I dance before you?

  452. Will to my knees? Will I fall? Will I sing? Hallelujah.

  453. Will I be able to speak at all? I can only imagine

  454. what it will be like when I'm surrounded by that

  455. cloud of witnesses and we're in the presence

  456. of God. When you see him face to face, what are

  457. you going to do, my sister? When you see him

  458. face to face, are you going to dance? Are you

  459. going to shout? Are you going to sing? You know

  460. what I say, all of the above. Whatever I feel

  461. to do, I'm going to give God his glory. That

  462. is due his name. Come on, somebody love him today.

  463. Hallelujah. No wonder Paul said to live is Christ

  464. and to die is gain. Look at what you're gaining.

  465. Look at what you're gaining. He said to be absent

  466. in this body is to be present with the Lord.

  467. Oh, my God. We feel sorry sometimes for those

  468. that have gone on to be. Don't you feel sorry

  469. for that? If anything, they probably feel sorry

  470. for us. You still got to live in that broken,

  471. messed up, backwards world. Oh, but when we get

  472. there, we are gaining something beautiful. Look

  473. at what Paul said. He was torn. He wanted to

  474. go there so bad. He said, also in Philippians,

  475. he said, for I am hard pressed between the two,

  476. talking about the earth and heaven, having a

  477. desire to depart and be with Christ, which he

  478. said is far better. He said, man, I want to go,

  479. but I got to stay here and help you guys out.

  480. But man, I tell you, I want to go. It's far better.

  481. How many of you know it's far better? God's original

  482. plan was to dwell with humanity on earth, and

  483. this will be fully restored. Let us not forget

  484. in the beginning of Genesis, when God created

  485. the heavens and the earth, his plan was to dwell

  486. in perfect harmony with his creation. And when

  487. heaven is reestablished on this earth, that dream

  488. of God, that plan of God is going to be fully

  489. realized once again, and heaven is going to come

  490. down. And John said this in verse 3 of John,

  491. or in Revelation 21. He said, I heard a loud

  492. voice from heaven saying, behold, the tabernacle

  493. of God is with men and he shall dwell with them

  494. and they shall be his people and God himself

  495. will be with them and be their God. That's what

  496. God is preparing for us. It's a populated place,

  497. but it's where the presence of God, you know,

  498. we're not going to need a son. to light the day.

  499. We're not going to need a moon to glue to to,

  500. you know, to reflect off the earth at night because

  501. we're going to have the presence of God and with

  502. the presence of God, we're going to have light.

  503. Oh, what it's going to be like to be in his presence

  504. on that day, what it's going to be like to know

  505. him and to see him. And this, my friend, is what

  506. we're living for. This world is going to pass

  507. away and God's going to make everything new.

  508. And my job today, my number one job. about as

  509. the pastor of this church, as a preacher, the

  510. gospel is to help people get to heaven. I want

  511. to see you there, brother and sister. I want

  512. to say, well, I want to have a city like reunion

  513. when we get to heaven and see all the saints

  514. that were baptized or that were a part of this

  515. beautiful church and say, we made it. Oh, it

  516. wasn't easy. Oh, it was hard. And we stepped

  517. on each other a couple of times and it was difficult.

  518. Hey, you know, but we made it to the other side

  519. and I have. battle scars, and I have, you know,

  520. and it was difficult, and it was a battle, but

  521. we made it, and we're here, and what a blessing.

  522. Can I tell you today, it'll all be worth it when

  523. we get there. Friend, whatever, as I come to

  524. a close, whatever it is you're going through

  525. in this life, whatever it is you're experiencing,

  526. whatever trial, whatever hurt, whatever heartbreak,

  527. whatever problem, whatever pain in your body,

  528. whatever sickness, whatever disease, whatever

  529. heartache and heartache, heartburn and problems,

  530. whatever, interrelational problems, whatever

  531. family problems, whatever spiritual problems,

  532. whatever it is you are enduring here today and

  533. in this life is all going to be worth it because

  534. when we get there, all of this is going to be

  535. but a distant memory and we will be in the presence

  536. of God and we will enjoy him forever and we will

  537. say, thank you, Jesus, that I made it. I'm so

  538. glad that I didn't give up. Hallelujah. If you

  539. could come on up, sister, to the keyboard. I'm

  540. so glad I didn't give up. I'm so glad, God, that

  541. you held me, that you kept me. How many of you

  542. know it's going to be worth it? I said it's going

  543. to be worth it. I cannot possibly in 30, 35 minutes

  544. preach to you how marvelous this place is. I

  545. can only but whet your appetite and give you

  546. a brief but hopefully meaningful preview of what

  547. this place is and why we preach so hard and why

  548. we encourage and why we... It's because there

  549. is a place. It's also a perfect place. Heaven

  550. is a perfect place. John said, and God will wipe

  551. away every tear from their eyes. And there shall

  552. be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There

  553. shall be no more pain, for the former things

  554. have passed away. This current world is broken.

  555. full of sin, heartache, temptation, addiction,

  556. vices, our flesh, Satan running amok. But heaven,

  557. heaven is going to be a reversal of everything

  558. that sin did to destroy this world. Heaven is

  559. where the curse will be reversed. Think of all

  560. the things today, my friend. Help me today. Think

  561. in your life of all the things that make you

  562. cry. Think of the things that make us cry. Think

  563. of all the things that we suffer through in this

  564. imperfect world. Well, when we get there, God

  565. is going to wipe away every tear. Oh, hallelujah.

  566. Oh, I feel the Holy Ghost right now. Some of

  567. you have been crying in the late night hours.

  568. Some of you have been worried. Some of you have

  569. been overwhelmed. Some of you, and listen, God

  570. is present and God can help you and you can get

  571. victory here too on this side, but it's never

  572. going to be 100%. Oh, God. It's never going to

  573. be all gone. There's going to be aches tomorrow.

  574. There's going to be pains on Tuesday. There's

  575. going to be problems here and there. You solve

  576. one problem and you create another. That's the

  577. way life is. That's the way this world is. But

  578. I've got good news for you. If you will endure

  579. to the end, and if you have not yet already,

  580. if you will give your life to Jesus Christ and

  581. you'll be baptized in Jesus' name for the remission

  582. of your sins, If you will serve the Lord with

  583. all of your heart, hallelujah, then I've got

  584. this in store for you. God's got this promise

  585. that there is a place where there'll be no more

  586. tears, no more anxiety. How many of you would

  587. like to just say goodbye to worry and anxiety?

  588. There'll be no more depression. Would you stand

  589. with me this afternoon? Hallelujah. disease.

  590. Oh my God. Oh, hallelujah. I said there'll be

  591. no more disease. Hallelujah. No more disease.

  592. No more arthritis. No more high blood pressure.

  593. No more heart disease. No more cancer. No more

  594. tumors. No more syndromes and sicknesses and

  595. hereditary things. No more pain. Oh, God. No

  596. more fighting. No more emotional turmoil. Hallelujah.

  597. No more suffering. No more broken homes and broken

  598. hearts. No more sin. No more temptation, confusion,

  599. and conflict. Can I tell you, I know some of

  600. you, you love your doctors, but no more doctors.

  601. Oh! Some of you pay a lot of money for your attorneys,

  602. but no more lawyers, no more courtrooms, no more

  603. hospitals, no more cemeteries. Why? Because there's

  604. going to be perfect joy, perfect peace, perfect

  605. unity, perfect love. It'll be a perfect place

  606. for you. And somebody ought to give God glory

  607. today. Somebody ought to thank the Lord. Somebody

  608. ought to celebrate what is coming. Thank you,

  609. Jesus. How many of you are looking forward to

  610. that day? Would you just lift your hands all

  611. over this place? I feel joy in my spirit this

  612. afternoon. If you're weary from your battles,

  613. if you're wounded by life, broken by sin, hallelujah,

  614. remember there is a place that is waiting for

  615. us. That is a place of perfect rest where nothing

  616. ever hurts again. There will be no more tears.

  617. There will be no more sorrow. There will be no

  618. more pain. I have got to lift up somebody's spirit

  619. today. If you're waiting for this world to get

  620. better, my friend, you might be waiting all your

  621. life. If you're waiting for this place to get

  622. better, it might ever and ever meet up to your

  623. standards. But I'm not living for this world.

  624. This world is not my home. Do I got a witness

  625. out there? I'm not living for this world. I'm

  626. living for that world. And I've got to make sure

  627. that I make heaven my home. I wonder if anybody

  628. wants to go there. I wonder if anybody is looking

  629. forward to it. I wonder if anybody is lifting

  630. up your eyes to that place. Let me tell you something.

  631. Let me tell you something that's a little wrong

  632. with the modern day church. Let me tell you something

  633. that I don't quite like about the modern day

  634. church. We've gotten so consumed with God blessing

  635. us in this life. We've got so consumed with this,

  636. you know, this vendor machine relationship with

  637. God. We want god to do everything here and now

  638. we want god to bless us right now and will he

  639. at times yes he will because he's a good god

  640. but let me tell you something if he never blesses

  641. me again if he never heals me again if he never

  642. promotes me again if he never answers again i

  643. know that one day there is a place
