Faith for a Miracle (Bilingual Service)

I'm going to preach for a few moments today about

having faith for a miracle. We're going to read

in the book of Mark, chapter 10. And verse 46.

I love our praise team, our musicians, amen.

Let's thank God for them. Mark chapter 10, verse

Mark 10:46–52

46 through 52. We're going to read in Spanish,

but you can follow on the screen in English if

Amén. Someone say amen. Alguien diga amen. Let's

pray. Vamos a orar. Father, we love you today.

We thank you for your spirit that we feel here.

We're believing God. That someone is going to

receive their miracle. I pray Lord. That you

will anoint my lips. Put your word in my heart.

That I declare boldly. With faith. Your word

today. And we will not hold back our praise.

We're going to worship you. We're going to thank

you for all that you do today. Father, in the

name of Jesus, we pray, amen. Clap your hands.

Thank the Lord. You may be seated. In this story,

Jesus is passing through Jericho. And the streets

are filled with many people. There are many voices

shouting. Everyone wants to see Jesus. Many people

are there. But there was one cry that rose or

rises above the crowd. This cry was different

from all the other noise that was being made.

It was the cry of... A man named Bartimaeus.

Bartimaeus was blind. He cannot see with his

natural eyes. However, Bartimaeus could see with

his spiritual eyes. In his faith. he could see

his miracle. On that day, he could see his life

changing. On that day, he could see his life

changing. Being healed. And he could see the

one who had the power to heal him. And his name

is Jesus. How many of you know his name today?

I said, how many of you know his name today?

This story shows us something powerful. Sometimes

the difference between staying Where you are.

And receiving a miracle is one cry. Amen. One

act of faith. One moment of desperation. That's

all it takes. It's very simple. Very simple.

Your life can change in a moment. You don't have

to wait until tomorrow, next week, next year,

but here right now, if you would cry out to God

and believe for your miracle, everything in your

life can change. I wonder if there is a witness

here today. that knows that it only takes one

cry to see the power of God. Come on and clap

your hands. Hallelujah. I am a witness today.

There have been many times where I would just

cry out to God and say, God, I need you. And

I need you right now. I can't wait till tomorrow.

God, I'm not going to let you go. Hallelujah.

I won't let you go until you bless me. Is there

somebody like that here today? Oh, I'm not convinced.

Is there somebody like that here today? Jesus

was going out of Jericho. That means that Bartimaeus

almost missed him. This was his last chance.

This might be your last chance. And he could

have stayed quiet. He could have let the moment

pass him by. But instead he lifted up his voice.

I'm not going to let this moment pass me by.

I'm not going to watch my miracle pass me by.

My healing pass me by. And so he began to lift

up his voice. There will be moments in our life

church. Friend there's going to be moments in

our life. When Jesus is passing by. His glory.

His power. His grace. His mercy. Is passing by.

Amen. When he moves. When he calls. And when

God does that. We must take the time to respond.

We must respond. Someone else cannot cry for

you. Amen. Don't look at your neighbor. Your

neighbor is not going to cry for you today. It's

got to come from you. My God. God's looking at

you. I can't cry for you. I can pray with you.

But the desire, the faith, has to come from you.

It says, I believe. Hallelujah. Somebody say,

I believe. Let's look at three simple but powerful

lessons today. Amen. Number one. We must see

with the eyes of faith. Bartimaeus was blind.

But his faith gave him vision. Hallelujah. He

wasn't looking at everybody else. He couldn't

see anybody. He couldn't even see Jesus with

his natural eyes. But he could see Jesus in faith.

And he believed that Jesus could change his life.

That's what faith will do. Faith sees with the

eyes cannot. Somebody say amen. I said somebody

say amen. Hallelujah. That's why the Bible says

to walk by faith and not by sight. Don't trust

what your eyes tell you. Don't go by your eyes.

Don't look around. Don't look over there. Put

your faith in Christ today. Believe with the

eyes of faith. And that faith will show you your

miracle today. Oh, hallelujah. Faith looks past

our problems. And it sees the promises of God.

I'm getting excited now. It looks past all of

your issues. It looks past your present. And

it sees your future. I'm talking to somebody

right now. You got to put your faith in God.

Don't put your faith in man. Don't put it in

me. Don't put it in your friend. Not in your

family. Not in your job. Oh, but put it in Jesus.

Put it in. Come on, can somebody love him today?

Why don't you give God a praise right now? Somebody

shout hallelujah. Gotta put it in God. You know

why? Because man will fail you. Man will fail

you. But God never fails. Love never fails. Hallelujah.

Turn to somebody and tell them, God never fails.

Hallelujah. In fact, God doesn't even know how

to fail. He's never failed ever. He doesn't know

how to do it. Because everything he does he will

accomplish it. Everything he says will come to

pass. Hallelujah somebody. God cannot lie. But

his word will stand forever. Maybe you cannot

see your answer right now. But can you see it

in faith? Can you? Let me ask you. Can you see

your family being saved right now? Not with your

eyes. Because maybe they're not serving God.

Maybe they're resisting the Lord right now. Maybe

they're saying, I don't want to hear about God.

But what does your faith tell you? My faith tells

me that God's going to save my family. God's

going to restore my family. Can you see your

body being healed today? Don't listen to the

pain you're feeling right now. I thank God for

the doctors. And they give us their reports.

And they show us those x -rays. They show us

those pictures. They say, you have a problem

right here. When they show you those things,

you can just say, thank you, doctor. But my faith

tells me something different. Oh, I wish I had

a witness here today. I'm going to ask you whose

report will you believe today? The doctor's report?

The lawyer's report? Or will you believe the

report of the Lord today? Because his report

says I am free. I wish I had a witness. His report

says I am healed. It says I am delivered. That's

the report of the Lord. Bartimaeus could not

see with his physical eyes. But he saw his miracle

in the Spirit. So he started to cry out. But

then something happened. People tried to tell

him to be quiet. So number two, I want to tell

you, don't let fear silence you. He cried out,

Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me. And those

around him tried to shut him up. He said, shh,

stop it. Keep it down Lower your voice Jesus

doesn't have time for you Nobody wants to hear

you right now So they tried to tell him to stop

To control his worship But do you know what Bartimaeus

did? He said Just for that. I'm going to be louder

now. Hallelujah. Because you told me to be quiet.

I'm going to lift my voice all the more. And

say Jesus. Son of David. Have mercy on me. Fear

will try to shut you up. It will try to silence

your voice. and tell you to stay where you are

but I've come to tell you you can open up your

mouth today and say I'm going to trust in God

clap your hands and give God some praise when

you're desperate for a miracle You can't stay

silent. You know the Bible says that if we don't

praise him that the rocks will cry out. You know

the difference between me and a rock? How many

of you want to know the difference? Is that I

need a miracle and the rock doesn't. I'm not

going to let the rock cry out for me. Come on,

somebody. Come on, somebody. Are you going to

let a rock? cry out for you that rock don't need

a miracle that rock don't need healing but if

you stay silent that rock is going to take your

place but I got news for that rock today I'm

sorry rock but I'm going to cry out to Jesus

I'm going to cry out to the Lord I wonder if

there's somebody right now stand up on your feet

and cry out unto God and say bless me now my

Savior come on and lift up your voice unto God

Es lo que tenemos que hacer. We've got to cry

out unto him. Tenemos que clamar a él. Bartimaeus

is a witness of what God can do. De lo que Dios

puede hacer. When you simply trust in him. And

forget what everyone else is saying. My God.

Bartimaeus. Maybe he told his friends. If you

don't want it. I'll take it. If you want to act

like you don't need it. If you just came to church

to look cute. And say hi to your friends. If

that's all you want. You can have that. But if

you don't want that miracle. I'll take it I come

to tell somebody today if you don't want God's

blessing on your life that's your choice you

can leave this place the same way you came in

but I'll take your blessing hallelujah but don't

let fear stop you because your miracle is just

one Shout away. Somebody say amen today. Let's

just thank God in this place. Hallelujah, Jesus.

Oh, thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. Let's thank

God in this place. God wants to work right now.

How many of you believe that? I don't have a

long message today. because it doesn't take very

much but there's one more thing I need to tell

you if you want your miracle whatever it is you

see a miracle is something that you need that

only God can do. If someone else could do it,

then it's not a miracle. If it's impossible,

that's when God steps in. Amen. But before Bartimaeus

could receive it, The Bible says he did one more

thing. He did something bold. Before he was healed.

Before he received his sight. The Bible says

that he threw aside. His garment. He was wearing

a garment. And that garment, that garment marked

him as a blind man. Because those who were sick,

had to wear certain garments which identified

them as having a disease. It pushed them away

from other people. And they wore that garment

Everywhere they went, they couldn't take it off.

It became a part of who they are. It became their

identity. If you saw somebody with a sick garment,

you wouldn't have to ask them if anything was

wrong. You just knew that they were sick. Because

you saw their garment. That person is sick. That

person is a beggar. And Bartimaeus wore this

every day. He woke up in the morning. And when

he put on that garment. He was telling the world.

I've got an impossible problem. I'm sick and

I can't get well. And he would walk around everywhere

with that garment. He could not be seen without

wearing that garment. He was attached to that

garment. But when Jesus came by, even though

he was blind, he could see his miracle. and he

said to himself I'm not going to need this garment

anymore and so the Bible says he threw it off

and I've come to tell somebody right now when

Jesus walks your way and you want your miracle

you've got to throw off your old you gotta put

away your old self put away you need to throw

off that garment that garment of depression that

garment of fear of hopelessness of addiction

The shame. Hallelujah, Jesus. Throw it off. Because

you're not going to need it anymore. I'm going

to invite you to close your eyes right now. Because

the Holy Spirit. It's passing by. So I want you

to close your eyes. With your eyes closed. Yes,

with your eyes closed. Now you know what it's

like to be Bartimaeus. This is how Bartimaeus

felt. He couldn't see anything. He couldn't look

at what other people were doing. He didn't get

distracted. But he saw his miracle. So right

now with your eyes closed. You're going to be

like Bartimaeus. Because now you're going to

see. Not with your eyes. But with your faith.

So I want you to see. See your body healed. See

your family healed. See yourself stronger. See

yourself better. See your deliverance. Your deliverance.

Being delivered. Set free. Set free from sin.

Set free from that addiction. Set free from that

depression. Come on. See it in your faith right

now. Hallelujah.
