  1. Before I actually go to the text can I just talk

  2. to you about how to open your heart for a miracle?

  3. Because there are people getting them right now

  4. That's what pastor was reminding me He's already

  5. heard testimonies some of you out there that

  6. have experienced a healing touch of Jesus and

  7. and some of you that already have it and some

  8. of you got it in Saturday service or you got

  9. it in one of the morning services in a moment

  10. when we're When we're coming to the end of the

  11. message and the flood of God's healing is happening

  12. for others if you don't mind Hello you that are

  13. there to have already experienced it be among

  14. the first that come up here because I want to

  15. hear what God has done within your life I want

  16. everybody needs to hear what God is doing that

  17. there's a way of sealing it and that's what I'm

  18. talking about Do you know how to receive a miracle?

  19. from God to say, I'm not preaching, I'm just

  20. talking about how you open your heart. I indicated

  21. it in one of the services today that one of the

  22. things that helps a person connect with God is

  23. to select something they'd like God to do. I

  24. mean, have something in mind. It's not that he

  25. won't do more than that. or he can't do something

  26. other than that, but if you don't select something,

  27. you don't open to anything. There's something

  28. about the selecting of one thing that helps you

  29. maybe connect right with that thing, but more

  30. than that, what it really does is it opens your

  31. spirit to get everything from the Lord. That's

  32. why I pointed out to you that when Jesus would

  33. come to people that had visible, obvious needs,

  34. he would still ask them, what do you want me

  35. to do for you? That's what he would do. Why would

  36. you ask someone who is crippled or blind? You

  37. can see they're crippled or blind. Why would

  38. you ask him that? Because he's getting them to

  39. open their heart and connect and say this is

  40. what I want. You see someone in this house right

  41. now needs to say to themselves, this is the end

  42. of migraine headaches for me tonight. Someone

  43. someone in this place needs to say to themselves.

  44. This is the end of this curvature of the spine

  45. Someone's he say to himself. I'm not gonna have

  46. diabetes anymore Tonight is the night. Are you

  47. hearing that tonight? It's the night for me to

  48. receive whatever it is Maybe it's deliverance

  49. from panic attacks fears or something. Whatever

  50. it is deliverance from an addiction. This is

  51. my night You need to set yourself up for something

  52. to open your heart do that right now Someone

  53. need every one of you select something you say

  54. God, you know, you can do all that you want right

  55. now I'm gonna say here am I for this Lord? and

  56. go ahead and pick a big one, because there's

  57. nothing hard for him, all right? And then look

  58. for the prompt of the Spirit, the signal of God,

  59. the touch of God, because somehow God's gonna

  60. interact with you on this. It's not a matter

  61. that you just send up a request and you hope

  62. that God's something happens. That's not how

  63. it happens. You open your heart to him and he

  64. begins to work in you. And so they'll come to

  65. you either a word within your spirit a sense

  66. of confidence You understand the witness of the

  67. Holy Spirit may come to you in that way or sometimes.

  68. It's a touch of God I have people often often

  69. say to me, you know And maybe they had like an

  70. arthritic condition in her neck and those olives

  71. and my neck just got real hot real hot You know

  72. Ben gay thought they started that thing But they

  73. really didn't the Holy Ghost and fire has been

  74. hitting people for a long time Does anyone know

  75. what I mean and I people say that to me They

  76. feel like a fire go with him or other people

  77. have another sense. They have like a cool breeze

  78. come through them or they have, some people describe

  79. it like a chill or like an electrical charge

  80. and you say, well what is it then? I don't know,

  81. it's just a signal from God. That's all, and

  82. you may not feel anything like that. It may be

  83. something altogether different, but what I am

  84. saying is in some way he will touch you. The

  85. woman that had the issue of blood, the Bible

  86. says she felt in her body that she was healed.

  87. Didn't say she had a revelation, didn't say she

  88. had a word from heaven, she felt it. There was

  89. something that happened that she could feel.

  90. She knew it then that that hemorrhage had been

  91. there for 12 years would no longer be in her

  92. body Somehow God gave her that and Jesus felt

  93. it too. He felt it in his body. Am I right? Remember

  94. this story? I mean he stopped in his tracks He

  95. said who touched me and the disciples said how

  96. can you ask who touched me? There's so many people

  97. bumping into he said I don't mean that he said

  98. I felt power go out of me He didn't say I had

  99. a word of knowledge and he said the spirit spoke

  100. to me that happens But it that's not what he

  101. that's not what happened there Sometimes he interacts

  102. with us in a way that you can feel it So look

  103. for a sense of the communication of God the night

  104. either as a word or a touch or something like

  105. that and then the end, what we're gonna wanna

  106. do is we wanna seal that with, I just call it

  107. an amen. Just seal what God is doing within you.

  108. When you say, well how do you seal it? You seal

  109. it by agreeing with him. What I wanna do at the

  110. end is not lay hands on people for healing, I

  111. wanna lay hands on people and amen with them.

  112. I wanna seal that in Jesus' name that this thing

  113. will be established before the presence of the

  114. Almighty God and will be shoved in the devil's

  115. face. All right, so we'll do that move that a

  116. little later and those you that already have

  117. the touch of God from previous services get ready

  118. to launch that right out first but the truth

  119. is is all this service long God has been healing

  120. people some of you got it right now if you'll

  121. look for it you'll see the change or you'll notice

  122. it as the service progresses that is One of the

  123. ways the Holy Spirit does it so are you ready

  124. for God's Word tonight? Good because of the time

  125. factor. I'm not gonna read I have three stories

  126. in the Bible, I'm not gonna read them, I'm just

  127. gonna tell you of the location. You can look

  128. at them, they're there, many of you already know

  129. them. But here's the approach I'm taking. I wanna

  130. talk about three things that people in the Bible

  131. did who got a miracle. Three things that people

  132. in scriptures did. And watch where I'm coming,

  133. who got a miracle. See sometimes we're getting,

  134. we're not getting results because it's not that

  135. we're not asking questions, we're asking the

  136. wrong questions. Here's a common question that

  137. a person will ask within the household of God

  138. when they are not getting something they want

  139. to get. They ask the question, why am I not getting

  140. it? How come I don't get healed? How come when

  141. I get prayed for, I don't get the results that

  142. he or she has? Why is it that when I call upon

  143. the Lord, I don't see the effect? And that's

  144. the problem. The question is wrong. See, because

  145. if you get the answer to the question, why is

  146. it that I'm not getting healed, in the end, this

  147. is what you'll know. You'll know how not to get

  148. healed. Well, great. We need to stop asking the

  149. wrong question. We need to start asking the right

  150. questions That is how can I get healed? All right

  151. instead of how come I'm not getting that right

  152. does that make any sense to you at all? I'm not

  153. sure if that was great English But anyhow did

  154. you catch what I'm what I'm trying to say So

  155. what I want to do is I want to take it from this

  156. direction I want to look at you know three things

  157. that people did in the scripture that actually

  158. got their miracle. So if you need a miracle from

  159. God, quit going down to the religious bookstore

  160. and buying the book 10 Top Reasons Why People

  161. Don't Get Miracles. Find the book that says the

  162. 10 Top Reasons Why People Will Get a Miracle

  163. of God, and that's how I'm gonna approach it.

  164. The first one is a Syrian general by the name

  165. of Naaman. You're familiar with him in scripture?

  166. He was a man, and the story is found in 2 Kings

  167. chapter five and the opening 14 verses. And this

  168. is what you have with Naaman. I'm gonna summarize

  169. it and then explain it. What Naaman did that

  170. helped him get a miracle is he humbled himself.

  171. Someone say humbled. He humbled himself and did

  172. what the prophet instructed him to do the story

  173. in scripture quickly says something like this

  174. Naaman was a Syrian general who had many times

  175. rated Israel and as a result He had a young lady

  176. in his household. That was a slave girl that

  177. served him now She seen that her master had a

  178. condition called leprosy Which isn't very well

  179. known anymore in the world, especially in the

  180. United States. So I will I will parallel it It's

  181. not the same but I will parallel it Leprosy in

  182. that day was similar to AIDS of this day. It

  183. was a terrifying disease, it was an incurable

  184. disease, and it was a disease that would bring

  185. you down to a horrible death. And so this man

  186. has this plague. Now she looks at him and she

  187. says, if you only could get to the prophet in

  188. Israel, you could be healed of this disease.

  189. Wow, Naaman hears that and he thinks I'm going

  190. to find this guy. But he takes a route which

  191. is politically correct but not smart. What he

  192. does is he decides to go to the king of Israel.

  193. He sends him a letter. He comes there with a

  194. huge entourage. Now you gotta remember, this

  195. is a Syrian general who's already caused Israel

  196. a lot of headaches. But he comes to the king

  197. and he says, I'm coming to you that I might be

  198. healed of my leprosy. If you remember the story

  199. the king of Israel reads that and he says what

  200. is this guy up to and what's going on in his

  201. head? How can I or anyone heal him of leprosy

  202. really what he's doing is he's coming strategically

  203. just to start a fight but But now Elijah hears

  204. about what's going on and he says, would you

  205. send him to me that he may know that there is

  206. a prophet of God in Israel. And so Naaman now

  207. takes the trip to the prophet's home. Now when

  208. he gets to Elijah's home, he comes with all this

  209. pomp and fancy. He's got all these guys traveling

  210. with him. He's got camel loads of gifts to give

  211. the guy. I mean, he comes to do it upright and

  212. the prophet, watch this, I paraphrase it just

  213. a little bit, but he doesn't even get out of

  214. his lazy boy recliner. He doesn't even put his

  215. remote down to his Sony television set. He just

  216. simply says to one of his servants, would you

  217. please go outside and tell the general to go

  218. jump in the lake? Now again, I'm paraphrasing

  219. it just a little bit. I got that out of the message

  220. translation, no. I really boo boo, I know. But

  221. let me say to you in all fairness, that's the

  222. way that Naaman took it. That's how he felt about

  223. it. He was really offended. He said, who is this

  224. guy? I come all this way. I've got all these

  225. gifts for him. And he won't even come out of

  226. the house and talk with me. He sends some servant

  227. out here. They're telling me to go dip myself

  228. seven times in the Jordan River. He said, man,

  229. we got cleaner rivers than this in my own country.

  230. Why would I go? And he's really mad. And he actually

  231. says, I thought he would come out and he would

  232. wave his hand over the spot and he would call

  233. upon the name of his God, but he has none of

  234. that. I mean, he goes, he's offended. He huffs

  235. it out of there. He is mad. And finally, as he's

  236. traveling, one of his own come to him and says,

  237. General, you know, If this man would have asked

  238. you to do something extraordinarily difficult,

  239. you would have given it everything you had to

  240. make it, but all he does is tell you to do something

  241. simple. Just go dip yourself seven times in that

  242. river. Can't you do that? Hello. And he gets

  243. through that the real message is he needs to

  244. humble himself. So I can do that. So he goes

  245. to the river. Can you feel his situation? The

  246. prophet didn't say if you dip yourself down in

  247. there, you'll be healed. He said you got to go

  248. down seven times I'm sure there's a lot more

  249. to that what we're gonna discuss tonight, but

  250. I'll tell you what was going on There was more

  251. than just getting wet As he walked on in that

  252. river you understand He's got all these other

  253. all these other guys with him right now and they

  254. watch this they watch this great Syrian general

  255. Walk down into that dirty river and he dips,

  256. you know, I can see him just kind of look He

  257. dips himself down. He comes up. He looks no different

  258. at all He dips himself down again, he comes up,

  259. he looks no different at all. Geez. He dips himself

  260. down again, he comes up, he looks, there's no

  261. change at all. I can see these guys on the shore.

  262. They don't say it right in front of his face

  263. because he's the general, but when he goes down

  264. there saying, you know what's happening, don't

  265. you? That is right over there. He's making a

  266. fool out of him is what he's doing. Well, we've

  267. come in and raided their land. Now, he's got

  268. him, he won't even come out and say hi to the

  269. guy. He just tells me to go jump in the lake

  270. and he's down there now and look at him He's

  271. going up and down up and up up up and out look

  272. at him bobbing up and down down there Don't you

  273. know that was a humiliating moment? He kept going

  274. down until that seventh time and when he came

  275. up He was completely healed You know what Naaman

  276. did? He humbled himself Can I tell you something

  277. the thing that stands between most people and

  278. their miracle isn't the devil It's the guy they

  279. see in the mirror every day when they get up

  280. Are you still in the house I Think our pride

  281. Separates us oftentimes From the touch of God

  282. in our life on every kind of level The Bible

  283. says if you'll humble yourself under the mighty

  284. hand of God He will exalt you in due time And

  285. I know and do you understand the biblical process

  286. for humbling is always your part? Not his part.

  287. Now I'm not saying God can't do that, but see

  288. what we do is we take a lot of scripture and

  289. we reverse it, and this is one of those, you

  290. know, we do things like this. We promote ourselves,

  291. we pump ourselves up, we make ourselves known,

  292. we make sure everybody hears about what we are

  293. and what we have done, and then we pray, but

  294. oh God, keep us humble. When actually it's just

  295. the opposite. God says, why don't you let me

  296. take care of the exalting and you take care of

  297. the humbling. That's how it works, and that's

  298. how it works best. That's how you say, Dale,

  299. you're saying that God can't humble a man? No,

  300. I'm not saying God can't humble a man. You just

  301. really don't want him to do that. You're way

  302. better off taking care of it as yourself. You

  303. really are. You say that you can't exalt yourself?

  304. No, you could, but you really don't want to do

  305. that either. He can take care of that much better.

  306. He really can. He can take care of it much better.

  307. In Amon, he... He learned the key of humbling

  308. himself. As a result, he simply got a miracle

  309. of God. Now, in John chapter nine and the open

  310. seven verses, we have another man that got a

  311. miracle from God. It's a man that was blind.

  312. He's been blind from birth. And I'll summarize

  313. it now and then I'll explain it. What this guy

  314. did is he obeyed the simple thing Jesus told

  315. him to do. No indication that he had to humble

  316. himself, but he just obeyed. Naaman had to humble

  317. himself. The blind man, all he had to do was

  318. just do it. He just had to obey what the Lord

  319. told him to do. The story's told by John. how

  320. the disciples are traveling on the road and they

  321. come across the man that's blind. Now, he's not

  322. just blind, he's evidently known. I say he's

  323. known because, I mean, it doesn't take much to

  324. figure a guy is blind, but they know his case

  325. history. They know he's been blind from birth

  326. and they know his parents and they actually ask

  327. the Lord the question because from their mind's

  328. eye someone did something wrong from the bee

  329. that way so they assuming that say to Jesus Lord

  330. whose sin this man or his parents that he was

  331. born blind so they know a whole lot about the

  332. gentleman. Now if you go through the story you'll

  333. find out that actually it wasn't an issue of

  334. that man's sin or his parents but Jesus said

  335. the works of God really should be manifest in

  336. him and so then he spits all over the ground

  337. and he makes of that, makes mud of that, and

  338. he throws it right in the guy's eyes. Boy, that's

  339. neat, isn't it? And then when he gets, then this

  340. doesn't, that's not the half of it. Then what

  341. he does is he tells the guy to go wash it out,

  342. but he sends him to some place that's not right

  343. there. Are you with this thing yet? You know,

  344. we get all, we put Jesus right into a certain

  345. mold, don't we? That this is how he behaves,

  346. and it's always very nice. Isn't it? It makes

  347. us comfortable, very happy. This is the real

  348. God right here, you know? But just think about

  349. this. And I could imagine, there were probably

  350. some people in that crowd, maybe that didn't

  351. know the Lord and know who he was and see him

  352. do something like that. And I could hear a couple

  353. of critical people. You know where they're from.

  354. They're from the church right down the road,

  355. not here. But you know the church I'm talking

  356. about. And they would say this. Now you know

  357. that isn't God. That isn't. They don't even have

  358. good English. They'd say, you know this ain't

  359. God. Because, There was a real man of God down

  360. the road here a little while ago, and there were

  361. two blind men, do you remember the story, that

  362. were following him, and he went into a house,

  363. and they came in right behind him, and he just

  364. asked them very politely, what do you want me

  365. to do for you? And they told him, and he said,

  366. then according to your faith be done to you.

  367. And he just touched their eyes very gently, like

  368. a real gentleman, and they instantly got their

  369. sight. None of this spit in the ground, make

  370. mud, throw it in a guy's face, and tell him to

  371. wash it out down the road somewhere else. You

  372. know that's not God. Are you okay out there?

  373. And if you really think I'm talking about a certain

  374. church on the road, I know nothing about your

  375. town whatsoever. I'm just working here a little

  376. bit. Anyhow, here we go. I wonder what that trip

  377. was like. He's got this drying mud in his face

  378. and he can't find the way. Someone's got to take

  379. him. What's that all about? Hmm. I don't know

  380. if this happened, but he is pretty well known.

  381. People know his case background. I can see two

  382. guys grab him, one by each arm, say, let's take

  383. him to that pool or Shiloh and see what happens.

  384. They start walking him down the road. As he goes

  385. down the road, someone sees him. And they say,

  386. hey, how you doing? Oh, pretty good. Say, what's

  387. that you got all over your face? Oh, well, I

  388. was down the road here a piece and some guy spit

  389. all over the ground through mud and my face told

  390. me if I'd wash it out, I'd see. Oh. Getting desperate,

  391. aren't we? You know what that guy had to do?

  392. He just had to obey. If that happened, and I

  393. know people, you know them too. They'll try to

  394. talk you out of your miracle before you get to

  395. it. Whatever he's told you to do, they'll tell

  396. you how bizarre, how crazy, how weird, how it

  397. makes no sense. That can't be God. But somewhere

  398. along the line, you just gotta make up your mind,

  399. I'm just gonna do what he told me to do. I'm

  400. gonna do what he told me to do, whether my friends

  401. like it, I'm gonna do what he told me to do,

  402. whether my head agrees with it, or it can make

  403. sense. I'm just going to obey him. Here's some

  404. simple truths about obedience. Obedience never

  405. says, I'll do it, Lord, when I'm ready. That's

  406. not what obedience says it just does what he

  407. tells us to do obedience Obedience never says

  408. I'll do it. I will do that but but but but but

  409. my way That's not what obedience does obedience

  410. Doesn't even say I'll do it if it makes sense

  411. If you can explain why I can't tell you how often

  412. God has just simply said they'll do this sometimes

  413. later on I understood why Sometimes later on

  414. it made sense too Sometimes it didn't when he

  415. first said it to me. I just didn't get it But

  416. I just went ahead and did what he told me to

  417. do That's all just did it Did it? I remember

  418. when I was young Lord taught me that just as

  419. a young child when I first started the ministry

  420. I told you I was 15 years of age. I didn't even

  421. have a driver's license and no I didn't drive

  422. someone else was doing the driving but but I

  423. was traveling with a singing group from a Bible

  424. college and and central, Missouri I didn't sing,

  425. they figured that out fast. But I didn't know

  426. how to believe God for miracles and declare His

  427. word, so that was my part. I would preach and

  428. minister healing, they would sing. My brother

  429. got married that summer, so I had to fly back

  430. to New York. We were traveling throughout the

  431. Midwest. I flew back to... part of the wedding

  432. party, and then I was getting just a bus, right,

  433. because it wasn't that far, just to go back into

  434. Ohio and catch up with the group. No, I was catching

  435. a flight, that's what it was, a flight to go

  436. back. And I remember that having not a lot of

  437. experience in traveling at that time, I didn't

  438. think much about booking the flight ahead of

  439. time. So the next day I just got up, picked up

  440. the phone and called the airport and said I'd

  441. like to get a flight. out of Buffalo into the

  442. Mansfield area and they said, oh we're all, we're

  443. full, we're completely full. But the word of

  444. the Lord had come to me just before I picked

  445. the phone up and he said get out of town today.

  446. So when I picked up the phone they told me it

  447. was completely full and my parents were there

  448. in the room at that time because that was in

  449. the days, and does anyone remember when telephones

  450. were actually attached to the wall? Remember

  451. that they actually had a wire. Oh, this is the

  452. truth. I know everybody under 40 say no, you're

  453. kidding Yeah, no, it's truth. You had to go to

  454. one place on the planet to make a call in your

  455. house That's where it was, you know, so anyhow

  456. So they overheard the whole conversation when

  457. I hung up the phone and they and I remember my

  458. dad said well I guess you know, we'll have to

  459. try for a flight tomorrow So no I says we're

  460. flying out today and my mother said behold it

  461. didn't they just tell you that there are no more

  462. flights I see how that's what they said, but

  463. the spirit told me to go All right, so now you

  464. know I am a crackpot right there, huh? But that's

  465. what I said He told me to go and it was about

  466. a 45 minute drive to get to the airport I said,

  467. so let's let's go. Well, they were my parents

  468. my god They were tremendously gracious. So they

  469. got me in the car and we drove on up there and

  470. I remember when I went to the ticket desk and

  471. and and I said to the person I'd like to have

  472. a ticket to fly out today into Ohio and they

  473. said Oh where we are completely booked. There

  474. are no flights left or seats left on a plane

  475. for today I said could you mind would you mind

  476. telling me where the gate is? And they said when

  477. that was back in the days when you could really

  478. go to the gate I know some of you say, no, that's

  479. not possible. Yeah, you could, you could just

  480. go to the gate. So I said, just, would you mind

  481. telling me where the gate is? So I went to the

  482. gate, and I went up to the gate, and the person

  483. there, I said, I'd like a ticket to get on the

  484. plane. They said, oh my, the plane's completely

  485. full. I said, well, I'll tell you what, I'll

  486. be sitting right over there, and before the plane

  487. takes off, you'll want to call me. And I just,

  488. I'm 15 years old. And my parents are standing

  489. there saying, that's not our kid, that's not

  490. our kid. No, they really weren't. And we just

  491. went over there and sat down and then just before

  492. they flew, they called me over and said, oh boy,

  493. we happen to have a seat open. Oh my. Now what

  494. was that? What was that? He said, oh, you had

  495. great faith. No, you know what it was? I was

  496. just learning to be obedient. He said, go. And

  497. the seat opened. You say, oh well, it was by

  498. chance. Well, guess what? I could stand here

  499. the rest of the night and tell you more by chances.

  500. That have happened to me my whole life through

  501. when I've just listened to what he said and the

  502. door would open the door Would open the door

  503. would open see I'm talking about it in far as

  504. far as healing but the truth is this one I'm

  505. teaching you will work in every area of your

  506. life if you'll just learn to obey People get

  507. miracles when they humble themselves people get

  508. miracles when they just do What he tells them

  509. to do and by the way you'll find like in the

  510. case of Naaman that he'll never tell you to do

  511. something That you have to be Superman to do

  512. He'll just tell you something simple It's an

  513. issue of obedience not of accomplishment Yeah

  514. All right, here's the last one. It's found in

  515. the Gospel of Luke, the eighth chapter. The story's

  516. told in verse 43 to 48. We've actually referred

  517. to it a moment ago. And this is a woman who had

  518. a hemorrhage for 12 years. And let me tell you

  519. what she did. This woman that had the incurable

  520. hemorrhage pushed through. Would someone say

  521. pushed through? She pushed through. Naaman had

  522. to humble himself. The blind man, he had to obey.

  523. The woman that had the hemorrhage of blood, the

  524. issue of blood, she simply had to push through.

  525. The story is told that Jesus is on his way to

  526. the home of a very important man to heal his

  527. only daughter who is dying. A tremendous crowd

  528. is following him, a simple unnamed woman with

  529. a disease for 12 years that was causing her to

  530. hemorrhage. pushed her way through that crowd

  531. just to touch the hem of his clothes. She said

  532. within herself, if I can just touch the hem of

  533. his garment, I shall be made whole. That's what

  534. she said. Now, to get through to him, she had

  535. to push through that crowd. And may I suggest

  536. to you, because you know the story, I'm gonna

  537. suggest to you, and I think you'll see it's pretty

  538. obvious, she had to do more than push through

  539. a crowd of people. She had to push through her

  540. disappointments. She's had this thing for 12

  541. years. She has heard time after time, here's

  542. a guy with a solution, here's a person with a

  543. cure, here's a guy with a fix. and she has gone

  544. to physician after physician after physician.

  545. She has spent the wealth of money she had right

  546. down to nothing. No one has been able to help

  547. her and she hasn't even plateaued with it. She's

  548. now broke and she's getting worse. I'm gonna

  549. suggest to you that after 12 years of dealing

  550. with the same problem and getting worse and having

  551. tried everything you ever heard of to get well

  552. and none of it has happened, you got disappointments

  553. all over you. and most people are ready to throw

  554. the towel in. But she pushed through that disappointment

  555. and said if I can just touch him, just the border

  556. of his government. She wasn't asking for his

  557. attention, she wasn't asking for him to pray

  558. over her, she wasn't even asking for him to look

  559. at her. She actually snuck up from behind and

  560. just touched. the border of his garment. She

  561. said, if that's all I can do, I will be made

  562. well. Here's a woman that learned how to push

  563. through her times of disappointments and her

  564. many failures to getting well. Can I suggest

  565. to you that she had to push through the laws

  566. and the rules of her culture that would have

  567. kept her from coming to Jesus. If you know something

  568. about Jewish law at that point in time, with

  569. the condition that she was in, she was not allowed

  570. to be out in public. And she definitely was not

  571. allowed to be in physical contact with other

  572. people. That would risk her very life, even a

  573. stoning. She had no business moving out through

  574. that crowd. Some of you are gonna have to push

  575. through your disappointments if you're gonna

  576. get miracles from God. And some of you are gonna

  577. have to push through some of the religious junk.

  578. that would stand between you and Jesus. And believe

  579. me, that's a big deal right now in the earth.

  580. They may not be Jewish laws that people are dealing

  581. with, but Christians have worked out their own

  582. laws. That will keep you from getting right through

  583. to heaven some of them have to do with the cultural

  584. issues that we deal with they're not even necessarily

  585. religious issues, but there are cultural things

  586. that we have that separate us from getting through

  587. and touching the master and and if you're going

  588. to experience a miracle from God and some cases

  589. you're going to have to push through that kind

  590. of thing and I suggest to you that she had to

  591. push through people and by that I don't just

  592. mean their bodies I'm talking about the fear

  593. of men you see people will stand in the way of

  594. of you getting through to Jesus, but only if

  595. you let them. Now I'm just going to stretch it

  596. a little bit here tonight because this is my

  597. last service and I get to fly away. But I have,

  598. I've not been around forever, but in the last

  599. 40 some years I have heard some stuff. from church

  600. people and from people who don't go to church

  601. anymore. And I've heard this stuff of, you know

  602. I can't worship and I'm not going to church anymore.

  603. I can't serve God because I got hurt. Excuse

  604. me, but I'm from New York and I'm very cold.

  605. I got hurt by that usher. He would not let me

  606. sit where I wanted to sit. I got hurt by that

  607. Sunday school teacher, that small group leader,

  608. by that preacher, by that, you know, they weren't

  609. kind. They didn't shake my hand. They didn't

  610. love on me. They didn't come in time when I called.

  611. Let me explain something to you. Can I tell you

  612. something? You can treat me like a piece of dirt.

  613. You can walk over me. You can bad mouth me. You

  614. can run my family down. You can tell lies about

  615. me. You can do whatever you want to do. but I'm

  616. just not gonna go to hell over you. I'm still

  617. gonna serve the Lord. That's just the way it

  618. comes down. You can be as rude as you want, really,

  619. as unkind and uncaring, but I'm still gonna serve

  620. him. All right, I'm through with that. Just a

  621. thought, she had to push through people. People

  622. who would have looked at her and said you have

  623. no business coming to him. Look at you, look

  624. at the condition you're in, you're unclean. He's

  625. on his way to the home of a very important man

  626. to heal his little girl that's ready to die.

  627. And who are you to come up here and take even

  628. one moment of his time? Do you hear what I'm

  629. really saying? That's what was coming. She had

  630. to push through that, because you know that was

  631. going through her mind. You know she had a deal

  632. with that voice that was saying to her you are

  633. not worthy You have no place you're way out of

  634. order all of the religious culture. You know

  635. has told you that what you're doing is wrong

  636. and Who are you? This in even in Scripture unnamed

  637. girl That would press through to him But she

  638. did press through didn't she? She got past all

  639. of that I'm gonna ask you something. What are

  640. you willing to push past? What are you willing

  641. to push past? See, I made up my mind. I said

  642. it real crass just a moment ago, but I'll push

  643. past anything to get through to him. I will.

  644. I'm not gonna let anyone, anything, any ideology

  645. or religions keep me from who Jesus really is.

  646. Wow. Let me give you one last thought on this.

  647. I'll tell you something else she had to push

  648. through. She had to push through her fear of

  649. declaring, I got it. It's mine. And confessing

  650. to what the power of God had done. You see, she,

  651. like us, had to own it. She had, if you're ever,

  652. listen, you know that, even if you're born again,

  653. you know what I'm talking about. Let the redeemed

  654. of the Lord say so. That's what the Bible says.

  655. There's a purpose in why that we are declaring

  656. that, because it is in the declaration, in the

  657. confession of it, that we come to the place of

  658. ownership of what God has done, you see? And

  659. that's how these things get sealed in an individual's

  660. life. One's confession doesn't actually create

  661. the miracle. That's God's part, but our confession

  662. establishes it as being ours. it brings us into

  663. the place of ownership. Did that make sense to

  664. you? She got her miracle when she pushed through

  665. her obstacles and confessed her miracle. If you

  666. remember, when Jesus stopped, when she touched

  667. him, right? Just touched the border of his clothes

  668. from behind. When he stopped at that moment,

  669. he said, who touched me? Now, why did he do that,

  670. all right? Why, because he was bringing her to

  671. a point of sealing this thing. And if you'll

  672. notice, I tell you, she had to push through,

  673. making the confession to it. We know that because

  674. he had to push for her to come forward. The disciples

  675. stepped up. They're the ones who said there's

  676. people touching you on every side How can you

  677. say who touched me and he says no, you don't

  678. understand. I'm not talking about someone physically

  679. touching me He says I felt and the King James

  680. uses this language as as I felt virtue go out

  681. of me the word virtue There is the Greek word

  682. do to miss which is power supernatural miraculous

  683. power He said I felt power go out of me now She

  684. felt the very same thing as the Bible says it

  685. that when she touched him that the fountain of

  686. her blood and I used the King Jamie English again

  687. the fountain of her blood dried up and she felt

  688. in her body she was healed of that plague. She

  689. could tell it because she could feel it. Something

  690. happened between both of them, bang, just like

  691. that, and he said, I wanna know who did it. And

  692. he had to push for it, and finally the scripture

  693. says that she came trembling before him and told

  694. him all the truth. So I know she had to push

  695. through this thing. Many people are in that way

  696. right to this very hour, where they can tell

  697. that God is doing something in their life, but

  698. everything in them wants to put a cap on it and

  699. say don't talk about it. Let's give it a month

  700. and see. And if it's still that way after a month,

  701. then we'll give glory to him. Then we'll agree

  702. with him. Here's the problem with that. You miss

  703. the window in the moment of your miracle. Most

  704. of you, you that are saved understand this, that

  705. when he convicted you of sin, when he called

  706. you to repentance, you couldn't sit there and

  707. say, okay, I really feel the convicting power

  708. of God. Well, I think it's the convicting power

  709. of God. I'll tell you, I'll wait for 10 days

  710. and if I still feel this way, then I'll call

  711. Jesus Lord in my life. You know good and well

  712. you would have missed that moment. That window

  713. was there, the dealing of God was there, and

  714. the moment to seal what Calvary had provided

  715. for you had now come. And you needed to step

  716. up to the plate and say, this is mine. I buy

  717. into this, I receive this. Are you catching my

  718. language? I own this thing right now. He is my

  719. Lord. Not he is the Savior, he is my Savior.

  720. Not he is Lord, he is my Lord. You take that

  721. into that personal sense and it seals that thing

  722. in your life. She had to push through to come

  723. to that point and say, it's mine. This happened

  724. to me. And when she did that, then he finished

  725. the rest of it and told her, daughter, go your

  726. way. and you're healed of the plague. What a

  727. marvelous thing is that thing was sealed within

  728. her life. This is what people in scripture did.

  729. that actually got miracles of God. Some of them

  730. had to humble themselves, others had to obey.

  731. Some of you are gonna get to do both of those,

  732. all right? And then some just had to push through.

  733. There's no indication that she was in disobedience,

  734. neither was the other guy he did obey, but there's

  735. nothing like the Lord had instructed her to do

  736. this or do that, and we don't have any indication

  737. she had to humble herself. She just had to push

  738. through what it took to connect and respond.

  739. Would you stand with me please all over the room

  740. right now.
