Would you do a big favor for me? Would you give
-
a Life Bible welcome to our friend, Dr. Jan Venters?
-
He comes and shares the Word of the Lord. Thank
-
you, Pastor. Love you, man. Thank you. Thank
-
you. Thank you. You may be seated. I appreciate
-
that so much. If you will stop there at the table
-
and buy us out so we don't have to carry that
-
back. You know, on the airplane, I would appreciate
-
it. There's not too many left over there. And
-
if you want to, let me sign your book. It becomes
-
more valuable. Glory to God. I always enjoy the
-
second service a little better because, you know,
-
you're not so rushed for time. But I'm not going
-
to keep you longer than what it takes. And so...
-
I shared over this weekend with people that,
-
and if you were here, I basically talked on Wednesday
-
night and connecting it again on last night about
-
seasons. God, and it just so happened when they
-
asked me to talk about that, I'm busy writing
-
a book on seasons. God has you guys at the moment.
-
The pastor has been teaching. You know about
-
seasons. Obviously it's not as good as mine.
-
But. I'm kidding. The. No I'm not. Seasons is
-
something you have to understand. Because that's
-
the way God works. God doesn't work with time.
-
Now he can. any time he wants to and create a
-
kairos moment. That means a created moment and
-
work with us at that time. But basically God
-
works with us on seasons. And so one of the problems
-
with people is, you know, when the season becomes,
-
when you come in season, it's creating what we
-
call a window of opportunity. And oftentimes
-
many churches miss revival because they miss
-
that window of opportunity. And so they have
-
to go through the whole cycle again. And so many
-
people are continuously just on the same old
-
cycle over and over because they don't position
-
themselves for revival. And so I was telling
-
the people, you know, over the weekend that your
-
time for a new dimension has arrived. you are
-
at the verge of going to another dimension. You
-
know, I look, when I close my eyes, I actually
-
see a very large congregation of people who are
-
living out destiny and touching the world and
-
the nation. There's no reason. You know, why
-
this cannot be so. In fact, it is going to be
-
so. Many prophecies have been spoken to you and
-
given to you over time. And on last night's service,
-
Pastor Brad gave a prophecy here which I thought
-
was just profound. You know, when it's a prophecy,
-
that's God speaking to the people. When it's
-
tongues, it's us speaking to God. And so that
-
was God speaking to... the congregation and it
-
was just phenomenal now you heard uh you know
-
the two men that spoke here before the service
-
brother charlie and anthony and they they were
-
not in the service this morning so once again
-
it underscores what i feel that god is saying
-
and wanting to say here this weekend and you
-
must not miss it During the intercessors' prayer
-
meeting, without them knowing what I was going
-
to talk about, a variety of them got up and shared
-
the word that they had gotten said that God is
-
going to use this weekend and these services
-
to bring us into a new place. This, in fact,
-
was referred to as going to become a pivotal
-
moment. It's got nothing to do with me or, you
-
know, how good I am, as good as I am. You know,
-
people sometimes don't understand my humor, but
-
that's just me. It has nothing to do with me.
-
It has to do with, you know, I'm just like them,
-
a mouthpiece in the hand of God to just deliver
-
a message. And so when Pastor asked me to bring...
-
To tell him, I think this is the fifth or the
-
sixth year that I'm here, and he's never, as
-
far as I can remember, asked me what the theme
-
was going to be. And it just so happened that
-
that morning when the request came through to
-
let me know, let him know what the theme was
-
going to be, I was busy dealing at that moment
-
with what I'm sharing with you here this weekend.
-
And that morning... I was at the seventh mile
-
with the men on the way to Emmaus. And so I told
-
him, I said, well, you know, I believe it's going
-
to have something to do with the seventh mile.
-
And I'll make that plain here shortly, hopefully.
-
Now, having said that, you must understand that
-
when we minister as people, we minister, you
-
come and... preach a sermon, preach and evangelism
-
comes from the same word. It means when you preach,
-
you deliver the gospel. And when you deliver
-
the gospel, the gospel is believed. You share
-
the gospel and people are drawn towards the kingdom.
-
And repentance takes place in all those things.
-
Now, when you teach, teach is the same word as
-
doctrine. When you share teaching, teaching is
-
designed by God to form a basis, to develop you,
-
to establish you, to bring you to a place where
-
a connection can take place regarding your future.
-
And I told the people also in the first service
-
that, you know, when you talk and teach about
-
Christ, Christ is, there's something that happens
-
in the Bible. Let me see my water there. Thank
-
you very much. Oh, thank you. I didn't want the
-
one that he drank on. There's a concept in the
-
Bible, it's called like as. You will be like
-
as a tree. You're not a tree, but it's likened
-
unto a tree. His messengers are like stars. We
-
call it metaphors. The metaphors in the Bible
-
plays a very important role when you want to
-
understand destiny. And so he connects us to
-
these metaphors. Whenever you speak about Christ,
-
Christ is like a rock. When you speak of Christ,
-
he is the rock. Of our salvation. Upon Christ
-
the solid rock I stand. And so it's very important
-
that you understand that when you teach Christ.
-
You teach foundational principles. When you teach
-
the Holy Spirit. He is like as water. That's
-
why Charlie's word of encouragement and prophecy
-
here this morning was so profound. Because he
-
was talking about the river flowing, water. You
-
understand? And so that I know you are established
-
on Christ. But what God is trying to get you
-
to connect to will be the flowing of the water.
-
Now, having said that, the problem with many
-
churches nationwide is, where really nothing
-
is happening, is they have dammed up the water.
-
Try and just make it as comfortable as they can,
-
putting picnic tables out there and, you know,
-
people can just come and just have fun. But that's
-
not the way God works. When God works... I'm
-
telling you, it happens sometimes so fast you
-
have to struggle to keep your balance. You know,
-
he takes you into the rapids. It's a river that
-
flows and it takes things in their way, you know,
-
things in its way. It takes it out of the way.
-
And so God is wanting to take this church to
-
another level. But last night I shared with the
-
church that I believe that you are not seeing.
-
Where God has you at the moment. You're not,
-
you're totally disconnected or in that sense
-
disconnected from really what God is wanting
-
you to start seeing. You've got to think big.
-
You have to think big because God has got a big
-
plan for this little town. And so what I share
-
with you this morning and this weekend, I feel
-
myself sharing with you as a father, as a spiritual
-
father. And to bring you, that doesn't mean that,
-
you know, there's something wrong with you. Yeah,
-
it really means that too. But, you know, when
-
we're not connecting with God's plan, then, you
-
know, he'll send people, you know, your way.
-
Prophets, teachers, evangelists. come and just
-
shake you a little bit. Especially when he brings
-
somebody in that's got a Texas accent, and so
-
you listen a little better, you know, because
-
his accent is a little different. Now, you know,
-
I'm trying to just quickly, I don't want to waste
-
your time and use your time, but it's important,
-
you know, when you preach over a weekend and
-
you have three different congregations to preach
-
to, it's hard to... make sure that they don't
-
miss out what you said because the first message
-
really connects with the next one. And so what
-
I'm sharing with you here today is if we don't
-
let go of our own pain, that's what we talked
-
about last night, we don't disconnect with your
-
own pain or your own discouragement or whatever,
-
you will not recognize what God is trying to
-
do. Amen? So, here's the thing. Take your Bibles
-
and go to John 1 before we go to Luke 24. John
John 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1. Go there quickly. You know, before
-
we read, just look at me and let me just make
-
this statement. Very important to display excitement.
-
This world is filled with so much disappointment
-
and troubles, heartache, problems. Turn the news
-
on and all you hear is... Obama's health plan.
-
I'm so sick of that thing. And bad news. And
-
so on. When we come to church. We have to display.
-
Everybody say display. Display his glory. Look
-
what happened this morning. When the Holy Spirit.
-
Was let loose on that. Guitar player. I mean
-
a man. Don't know how to play guitar. But man
-
when the Holy Spirit took over. You know. When
-
the Holy Spirit takes over. It goes to another
-
level. Say another level. Because when. What
-
you have. You connected with God. It becomes
-
incredible. And phenomenal. And so. What. The
-
church have done is they have lost, and I want
-
to teach you just on this principle quickly,
-
the church and you have to be careful that we
-
don't forget the value of stirring up our most
-
holy emotions. That's scriptural. So we have
-
to stir up our most holy emotions. To do that,
-
It comes from, you remember we're talking about
-
water. It comes from inside and it flows out.
-
Say, go like this. Say, it goes from inside and
-
it flows out. See, it comes from our mouth. Psalms
-
118 says, the goodness of the Lord must be spoken.
-
He says, let the house of Aaron say. The Lord
-
is good and his mercy endureth forever. Say,
-
it's got to come out. This morning when I spoke
-
about that, another lady took another translation
-
and she says, it must be repeated. That's another
-
translation. Repeat. And so when a word comes
-
out, don't nod your head. There, you see, it
-
flows out. And when it flows out into the atmosphere,
-
it builds excitement. The angels are saying one
-
to another, holy, holy, holy. And what happens
-
is it fills the atmosphere with the repetition
-
of the truth. And so when something is said here
-
and you like it, you know, amen it. And somebody
-
dares to clap hands, join them. I mean, fill
-
the air with excitement. By the way, give the
-
Lord a good hand clap of praise. Isn't that wonderful?
-
Do it again. I forgot to join you. Glory to God.
-
Now shout also. Glory to God. Glory to God. Glory
-
to God. Oh, wow. See, we're not going to damn
-
up this thing. We're going to ask God, Lord,
-
break this damn problem. You know, the problem
-
with the dam, just break it, you know. And so,
-
let the river flow. Say, let the river flow.
-
Say it again, let the river flow. Now, in John
John 1 chapter mention
-
chapter 1, I'm not going to preach this, but
-
I want to connect it. And so, they're bringing
-
to Jesus different men that's going to join in
-
the ministry. And so one of the men that they're
-
bringing is Nathaniel. Okay, and so we start
-
reading there, verse 47. Are you there? Say aye.
-
So Jesus saw Nathaniel coming towards him and
-
said concerning him, See, here's an Israelite
-
indeed, in whom there's no guile. That means...
-
nor deceit, nor falsehood, nor duplicity. I'm
-
reading the Amplified, so if it sounds a little
-
loud, it's the Amplified. And so, Nathaniel said
-
to Jesus, how do you know me? Jesus said to him,
-
before Philip called you, when you were still
-
under the fig tree, I saw you. And Nathanael
-
answered, teacher, you are the son of God. You
-
are the king of Israel. See, he formed a doctrinal
-
opinion. And I'll show you that this morning.
-
But Jesus replied, because I said to you, I saw
-
you beneath a fig tree, is that why you believe
-
in me? He says, from here on, and this is my
-
prophetic encouragement for you, from here on.
-
Everybody say, from here on. You are going to
-
see greater things. Then in verse 51. He said
-
to him. I assure you. Most solemnly. I tell you
-
all. You will now see heaven opened. And the
-
angels of God ascending and descending. Upon
-
the Son of Man, but I want to read it like this.
-
And I say unto you, saith the Lord, that most
-
solemnly I confirm you will see heaven opened
-
and the angels of God ascending and descending
-
upon life Bible church. Oh, come on, just give
-
him a great praise offering, will you? Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Come on, hallelujah.
-
Come on, praise him. Glory to God. Hallelujah.
-
Now turn in your Bibles, please, to Luke chapter
Luke 24 chapter mention
-
24. Luke 24. Put your hand on your heart and
-
ask God to speak to you through revelation. Heavenly
-
Father, I come to you as your child, your servant.
-
Lord, it's such a wonderful privilege to be able
-
to minister on your behalf to your people. And
-
I realize that our words can make or break. And
-
I ask, O Lord, that you would grant that something
-
phenomenal. Will happen not only here in the
-
service. But from this day on. To change what
-
lies ahead. For us to connect to. Help me not
-
to speak no more or no less. Than what you want
-
me to in Jesus name. We thank you Father. Amen.
-
What a great feeling to feel heaven opened. Come
-
on you've been there. You know what I'm talking
-
about. Help me fill the atmosphere with amens.
-
Yes. You know it's a great feeling to just. And
-
all of a sudden, whoa, God starts moving up and
-
down. Angels start ministering and so on. And
-
for you to fulfill what God wants for you, it's
-
going to take a jump. It needs a leap forward
-
to another place. I've been now with you long
-
enough to where I know that, you know, some of
-
you are goods and you're bads and the ugly. Amen.
-
You know, believe me, you're not as bad as what
-
pastor says you are. Now, honestly, that's a
-
joke. But we do have, I looked at you and you've
-
been just a typical congregation, you know, where
-
they complain about things and, you know, murmur.
-
And, you know, that's just pretty normal. If
-
you want to go where God wants to connect you,
-
you have to now learn to just follow where he
-
leads you. Stop complaining. Stop murmuring.
-
Look at somebody next to you. Help me preach
-
and say this to them. Go ahead. Look at somebody.
-
Make eye contact. Say, you've got to stop being
-
so pitiful. Amen. So, because if the prophetic
-
utterances that have come to you through the
-
years, and this weekend is true, and they are.
-
Everybody say they are. You have to embrace His
-
plan. Say, God, open up the heavens. Because
-
we don't want to, I don't know about you, but
-
I'm not satisfied with just having church. Anybody
-
can just have church. And you know, anybody can
-
have good musicians and entertain us. We don't
-
need entertainment. We need to reach Oregon.
-
And if you want to reach Oregon, we want to reach
-
Eugene. We want to reach the areas around us.
-
It is not by coincidence that God had brought
-
this church here and now expanding it. You know.
-
It's really, I mean, it's just a marvel that
-
God brought in among you, your ministry team.
-
And I know you're going to have to just absolutely
-
tolerate Ron. Glory to God. So here this morning
-
in Luke chapter 24, we pick it up in verse 13.
Luke 24 chapter mention
-
This is after the crucifixion. If you missed
-
last night, please get the tape. I'm not going
-
to have time to go there. After the crucifixion,
-
two of them were going away from their destiny.
-
They were walking and moving away from Jerusalem.
-
Going back to Emmaus. That's happening to us
-
all the time where we just miss God. And so in
-
verse 13, two of them went that same day to a
-
village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem
-
about three score furlongs. That means seven
-
miles. And so when they are now on their journey,
-
Jesus joined with them. And as they, in verse
-
15, communed together and reasoned. Well, church
-
people are known to do that. And they reasoned,
-
Jesus himself drew near and went with them, but
-
their eyes were holding that they could not recognize
-
him. And so when Jesus asked them, you know the
-
story when Jesus asked them, you know, why is
-
your countenance so sad? You know, what is this
-
talk that you're talking? And so they started
-
telling him and they were quite amazed. Anyone
-
here in this area that doesn't know what had
-
just happened here most recently about the man
-
that is called Jesus. And I'm paraphrasing now.
-
I just want to put it within the words of my
-
context where they're saying, we really expected
-
him to be the one that would overthrow the rule
-
of Rome. Doesn't say that on those pages, but
-
you have to read between and then have to go
-
look at some of their questions before. Everyone
-
really was hoping to get someone to give them
-
some relief from Obama. Or Bush. And boy, how
-
wrong they had it. Yes? You know, I'm so amazed
-
at how through the times of man, man have missed
-
God. Boy, we've missed God several times. You
-
only have to go back to the times, the life and
-
times of Israel to see how many times they've
-
missed God. I mean, there were times when they
-
even formed and created for themselves a golden
-
calf. And then they thought it was right. Atmosphere?
-
Yes? They thought it was right. That's one of
-
the problems is when you're so blind and you
-
don't know you're blind. You are wrong and you
-
don't know you're wrong. You connect with something
-
that is a mile, 10 miles, 100 miles away from
-
God, but you don't know it. If you know that
-
you're doing, you're on the wrong path, it's
-
different. You can change and make alteration
-
and then connect. But you understand, with God,
-
God has to literally come and show you you're
-
wrong. They've missed it in the past. I'm so
-
concerned that the church is missing God right
-
now where we are. I'm talking about the overall
-
church. They're totally missing God. They've
-
missed God before. So here at this critical junction
-
in the life and times of the United States, I'm
-
so afraid to say that the church is absolutely
-
missing God. They have created for themselves
-
an environment of comfort, and they think God
-
is right there. But God is water that flows,
-
becomes a river, and we just need to get in the
-
river. Yes? And so what is going on is we're
-
talking about missing God. You know, they missed
-
God when Jesus came in the first place. They
-
crucified him. And here we are, you know, I love
-
talking and debating with your pastor. He's a
-
debater. And just now and again, don't tell him
-
I said this, but now and again, I just let him
-
win. Just so that our relationship stays good
-
and my offering is fair. But you look at what
-
goes on in the church. It is clear man is missing
-
God so far. The church is not what they're supposed
-
to be. The world don't trust us. Our young people
-
are running away from God. They don't want what
-
is being offered because it's filled with so
-
much hypocrisy. They come to church to find God
-
and they find everything but God. They find programs.
-
They find people's ideas and doctrines and so
-
on. But the living Christ is not being found.
-
And so what is happening here is God is calling
-
out. Every now and again God calls out a people.
-
And he offers them the key. If you'll take this
-
key. I'll give you the keys to the kingdom. And
-
so what God is doing, I'm convinced what God
-
is doing here in Harrisburg, in this area, is
-
God is offering you something exceptional. But
-
you have to embrace it. And you have to ask God,
-
please, show us where we are blind. And reveal
-
it to us. And so here they are, you know, they're
-
walking. And Jesus himself joins him with them
-
and their eyes are holding. They cannot see him.
-
And they don't know that here is the one. But
-
they don't see it because, number one, they looked
-
at the one at their situation through eyes of
-
pain. They looked at, oh man, the events that
-
took place a few days before was more than horrible.
-
I don't think we could even begin to comprehend
-
what went on through their minds when they saw
-
him hanging on that cross. And literally his
-
bones disconnecting. Going out of joint. His
-
muscles tearing and causing pain. And blood to
-
form pockets underneath his arms. And him crying
-
out. My God why has thou forsaken me? And they're
-
there. They have put their hope on him. That
-
he would deliver Israel. And then. The horror
-
of stepping down and taking Christ down and holding
-
him in their arms. Lifeless. And it's all over.
-
It was all one big lie. We don't know. I mean,
-
we've heard this preached through the years about
-
this and that. And now we're wrong. It's like
-
the rapture. Somebody go. I mean, they edged
-
it, edged it, edged it right to, right to. And
-
I don't want to mess with your theology, but
-
they edged it right here to the beginning of
-
the millennium. Millennium was, ooh, Lord, it's
-
going to happen any moment now. I mean, it's
-
just incredible. And then they stretched it a
-
little bit further. You know, just a little bit
-
further. And now we are here on the seventh mile.
-
Fourteen years into the seventh mile. wonder,
-
my God, can you help us through this dilemma?
-
And so, that's for another time. So Jesus was
-
listening to them, all this. And then in verse
-
27, are you there still? Beginning at Moses.
-
But actually, let's back up to verse 35. Then
-
beginning at Moses, it's 1245 now, Pastor. More
-
or less, what time are you normally? How little?
-
Okay, I'm going to just take you as close as
-
I can to two. And verse 25, he said to them,
-
O fools and slow of heart, slow of heart. Everybody
-
say slow of heart. To believe all that the prophets
-
have spoken. Then he goes on, ought not Christ
-
to have suffered these things and to enter into
-
his glory. And then beginning at Moses and all
-
the prophets. He expounded unto them in all the
-
scriptures the things concerning himself. And
-
then when they drew nigh unto the village, he
-
pretended like he was going to go on. They said,
-
please stay with us. And then in verse 30, it
-
came to pass as he sat at meat with them, he
-
took bread and blessed it and break it and gave
-
it to them. And then their eyes were opened.
-
Why don't you just say this this morning? Say,
-
God, please open my eyes. Do it again. Say, Lord,
-
please just open my eyes. Wow. Let me just get
-
there quickly. See, here's the thing. When we
-
look at these men on the way to Emmaus, you must
-
understand, we're talking about missing God.
-
People have ever missed God would be then because,
-
I mean, they knew him. Yes? It's like you. You
-
know him. And yet we can miss him. And you look
-
at them, you know, they knew him in his authority.
-
They knew him with his voice. They knew him with
-
his message. And here, they're walking, and even
-
though he's taking them back, they still don't
-
get it. He's trying to tell them, but they don't
-
get it. Here's the problem. You preach to people
-
all the time. You preach something here on Sunday
-
and on Monday. And during the week, you have
-
to counsel people on the very thing you preached
-
on Sunday. Because it just seems like they just
-
don't get it. And you've got to ask God, please
-
Lord, let me get it. So what was happening is
-
they didn't understand him. They didn't recognize
-
him. Because number one, as I said, they were
-
looking at the situation through their own pain
-
and their own misery. And then number two, the
-
reason they missed him is because they looked
-
at him through their own doctrinal persuasions.
-
I mean, if you want to walk with God, you have
-
to ask God, Lord, please enlarge my tent. Enlarge
-
the border of my habitation. Lord, let me not
-
be locked into this small environment of what
-
we believe in an open Bible church. A life Bible.
-
Life Bible church. Because If I'm right, and
-
I normally am, I believe God is going to take
-
you to a place where the heavens are going to
-
open. Come on, feel the atmosphere. Oh, come
-
on, clap hands for Jesus. And so, You know, if
-
these things have a connection with us, surely
-
you should ask God. Because what is happening,
-
what is lying ahead for you guys here right now,
-
is not just moving into a very nice facility,
-
as nice as it is. God has a plan. And all you
-
have to do is you have to ask God, please help
-
us to connect with the plan. And it's going to
-
be a phenomenal thing. You know, I don't think
-
it's by coincidence that God has given you that
-
school. I mean, that hotel. Because I need a
-
place to stay from now on. God has a great plan.
-
But as they walked, I mean, here's Jesus sharing
-
with them. He's taking them back to the time
-
of Moses and the prophets. And he says, what
-
happened with Moses really was everything to
-
do with me. So before you can go on, you have
-
to go back. You have to understand that what
-
happened in the past has bearing on the future.
-
And so he took him back to Moses. Now, you know,
-
if I was going to talk to you about Moses, you
-
know, Moses, then, you know, possibly it would
-
be nice to just say, I'm going to tell you a
-
story. About baby Moses. In a little basket.
-
I saw a picture of it in a book one time. I think
-
that's what Jesus said. No. He took them back.
-
Because here they are. They're missing God because
-
of their pain. Their misery. They thought that.
-
Their plan died at Calvary. So now he says, I
-
want to take you back to Moses. And I want to
-
show you Moses, really, his dealings was really
-
with me. And so here's what he says about Moses.
-
Moses being out of his wits with a people that
-
are so stiff -necked and hard -hearted. And they
-
keep on complaining and murmuring. Oh, the music
-
is too long and it's too short. And it's too
-
loud and it's too soft. And the people that plays
-
on the piano is just, you know, this way and
-
that way. And too much makeup and too little
-
makeup. And, you know, shoes too high and shoes
-
too low. And, you know. And it's like the Holy
-
Spirit wants to say, how dumb can you be and
-
then still breathe? We're so opinionated. And
-
he says, hey, listen, guys, you think this was
-
bad. You just don't understand the Christ. You
-
don't understand who he is. If you could just
-
understand. Tell us who he is. It's going to
-
change your entire perspective. Because Moses,
-
when he was so frustrated, he said, God, will
-
you please show me your ways? That's the answer.
-
Find out what is God's ways. Kenny. Because,
-
you know, God brings people in like this and
-
he has a reason for doing all of this. And what
-
is happening in your life, it's not Satan that's
-
in charge. You are the workmanship of Christ.
-
And he wants to bring you to a place where you
-
can finally embrace the open heavens and see
-
the activity of God in the heavenlies for this
-
church. Come on, give him a praise offering.
-
And how God took Moses and brought him and said
-
to him, come up to the mountain early in the
-
morning. There I will speak to you and show you
-
my glory. And so he said, when you come up, make
-
sure it's just you. See, when you want to hear
-
what God has to say. Jenny, that's why your quiet
-
time in the morning is so important. She's up
-
early in the morning. He sleeps until 10 o 'clock
-
in the morning, but she's up early in the morning.
-
And so that's where God speaks to you. It's early
-
in the morning. And that's where he helps you
-
to disconnect with pain. Pain will always be
-
there. Suffering is your choice. And so he goes
-
up and he says as he climbs up, God placed him
-
on a rock. Because when you want to get a revelation
-
about the dealings with God, you cannot be unstable.
-
You cannot stand on slippery places. You've got
-
to get to a place where it's solid. You have
-
solid ground because God now wants to show you
-
great and marvelous things. Because we are known
-
as a church, you know, that we are limited. We
-
find ourselves limited because of our own environment
-
concerning the things of God. But he wants to
-
show you things that eye has not seen, ear has
-
not heard, neither has it entered in the mind
-
of man. Come on, give him a praise offering.
-
And so there, he puts Moses in a rock, in a cleft
-
of a rock, and puts his hand in front of him.
-
Because he said, Moses, you cannot see my face,
-
but I want you to know my ways. You cannot see
-
my face because you'll die. And then God said,
-
I'm keeping you covered while I pass by you with
-
all my goodness. The Lord is good. Say, the Lord
-
is good. Come on, don't forget that. Say the
-
Lord is good. Let the house of Israel say the
-
Lord is good. Let the house of Aaron say. Let
-
the house of Brad say. You understand, don't
-
forget that. Don't focus on your pain. Don't
-
focus on your doctrine. Not when you want revelation.
-
And so he passed by with all his goodness. And
-
then. When his goodness was all past, he opened
-
up his eyes so that he could see the hinder part
-
of God. The hinder part. It wasn't just like,
-
you know, I heard a preacher once preach and
-
said, well, you know, just, it was like a comet
-
that passed by and all this big glory. And then
-
at the end, just the very tail end, God showed
-
him that, no, no, no, no, that's not what it
-
was. God let him see the hind apart with other
-
words. What is behind everything that God is
-
doing today? You've got to go back in order to
-
go forward. He's showing him his hind apart.
-
That which is behind it all. God took him back.
-
I want to submit to you that God took Moses back,
-
back. Everybody say back, back. You know, go
-
back, back, back. Just so that you can understand.
-
Moses, you're complaining about a few complainers.
-
But I want to take you back. Show you my hind
-
part, back. Everybody say back. Back to the very
-
first man. Adam. And then back behind that. To
-
where Lucifer and all his cohorts were slain.
-
I mean fallen down. And then back to the pre
-
-Adamite world. And then back. Back to where
-
nothing was. Just. Can you see Moses standing
-
there in pitch darkness? I see nothing. Because
-
all there was when there was nothing was God.
-
See, God was before all things. And all you could
-
hear is just His breathing. The breath of God.
-
And Moses standing there just enveloped in all
-
this revelation of who it is that I'm dealing
-
with. And then God's voice taking him from the
-
very hinder part. Now moving him back to where
-
his destiny will be unfolded. And here he can
-
see the creation of all things. And he starts
-
to hear angels singing. And angels declaring
-
the holiness of God. And then being brought forward.
-
And there amongst all things. To hear the voice
-
of God suddenly. When there's nothing else. And
-
silent a hush had fallen over the angelic group.
-
All of a sudden the voice of the creator. That
-
speaks and says. Let there be light. He's saying
-
to Moses, that was me. He's saying to the man
-
on the way to Emmaus, that was me. You're concerned
-
about what happened here the last three days.
-
You think that puny death will stop me. You have
-
no idea who you're dealing with. You have absolutely
-
no idea what is going to happen. Come on, just
-
praise him. Glory to God. Hallelujah. Wow. And
-
so because we're out of time, I'm going to have
-
to skip here again. But, you know, he's taking
-
him step by step through creation and then possibly
-
into the heavens. So that he could see the tabernacles
-
of God in heaven. And God says to him. Go down.
-
And go and put up a tabernacle like mine. But
-
in a small form. So that it could be said the
-
tabernacle of God is now with men. And put it
-
up, Moses, in three dimensions. And that tabernacle,
-
if I had some time here today, I'd go into the
-
tabernacle with you and show you really the entire
-
tabernacle was Calvary. Taking him step by step
-
through the tabernacle, three dimensions, out
-
of court, holy place, holy of holiness. That's
-
where you have to understand I want you to be.
-
I want you to be in a place. I want you to come
-
to a place, Nathaniel, where the heavens are
-
opened. You're dwelling in the first dimension
-
where the blood and guts were spilled. And I
-
go to churches and all I see is blood and guts.
-
All they want to have you preach is repentance
-
over and over. You know, I always use the first
-
dimension of the tabernacle as a... I use the
-
analogy, excuse me, I hope you're not offended
-
by this. If you are, just build a bridge and
-
get over it. It's the toilet area. That's where
-
we get rid of stuff. Before we move in. You've
-
got to get rid of stuff. A lot of people want
-
to just live in the toilet area. My son, my youngest
-
son, when he was little, man, he had a strange
-
attraction to toilets. We're going to the nicest
-
restaurant, Jenny. And first thing he wants to
-
do is go and visit the toilet. I mean, I'd say,
-
Eugene, look at the menu. His healing came when
-
we were in an airplane one time flying to Germany.
-
And the first thing he wanted to do is, is there
-
a toilet here, Dad? And I said, yeah. But this
-
is an old airplane. The toilets are outside.
-
He said, I'm not going to go there. Look at the
-
person next to you and say, it's time to go to
-
the next level. Okay, let me close by saying
-
this. Are you getting it so far? Are you with
-
me? Just to understand God is a phenomenal privilege
-
that he gives us. But he is saying to you and
-
I clearly, stop getting hung up on issues. Look
-
at the Messiah. Move with God through revelation.
-
He wants to take you far. Yes? So he says to
-
the men on the way to Emmaus, when they get to
-
the end of the seventh mile, say, the end of
-
the seventh mile. They still don't get it. When
-
he tells them these things that I had just related
-
to you and much more, they still didn't get it.
-
And he says, The Bible says that he pretended
-
like he was going to go on. And he goes like
-
this. You know, I am sure he goes like, you know.
-
Okay, guys, I'm going to see you. You know, maybe
-
they'll see the hole in his hand. I'm going.
-
I'm going to go on. And they still don't see
-
it. Can you imagine how blind we can be? And
-
they said, oh, no, please, come in with us here.
-
So they go in. And they go. And I told the people
-
in the first service, you know, sometimes you
-
just have to invite a stranger in. Maybe I preach
-
stuff that you don't know. There's churches I
-
go to, and they're so ignorant concerning the
-
things of God. I had a man one time, a preacher,
-
ask me, should we fall when you pray for us?
-
You know, they ask me sometimes, you know, are
-
you pushing them over? See, it's the ways of
-
God. Pastor Brad, I went to a church one time,
-
my first service, first time I'm ever there,
-
and I arrived late. Something happened with the
-
traffic and I arrived late, Kenny. Now, you're
-
a prophet, you know what I'm talking about. And
-
so when I... When I. Are you a prophet? Say it.
-
Yeah. So when I get there. God gives me 17 names.
-
To call out. I call out 17 names. And. Tell them
-
what is wrong with them. 17 different people.
-
It just so happened. That the pastor had. On
-
his. Laptop. Those 17 names. People that have
-
called in for help. And he put it on a prayer
-
list. To, you know, just pray for the people.
-
And so I call out those 17 people. And the pastor
-
up until today believes that somehow or another
-
my team hacked into his computer. Never had me
-
back there. I don't even know how to hack. I
-
don't know what hack means. I don't know where
-
hack happens. But you see, these things happen
-
when people don't understand God. And so Jesus,
-
because you understand, we know God because we
-
heard of him in the Bible school. Or in the Sunday
-
school. Or you've read it in the Bible. But listen,
-
you still don't know him. You've got to know
-
his ways. Come on, give God a praise offering.
-
And I end with this, and I say this. You know,
-
when they sat down, Jesus, the Bible says. Took
-
the bread. Say he took the bread. And then he
-
blessed it. Say it. And then he broke it. And
-
then he gave it. Say it with me again. He took
-
it. And their eyes were opened. Say it again.
-
He took it. Blessed it. Broke it. Gave it. And
-
their eyes were opened. Once you become acquainted
-
to the ways of God, he always works the same
-
way. That's the way he worked with Moses. He
-
took Moses. I've got to hurry. He took Moses.
-
Remember, he talked to them about Moses. So he
-
took Moses from his mother, and then he blessed
-
him, took him to Pharaoh's house. He became second
-
in charge, rode on the chariots with Pharaoh.
-
And then God broke him. God absolutely depleted
-
him of him. And then he gave him to Israel. See,
-
it's the ways of God. Isn't that what he did
-
with Joseph? He took Joseph from among his 12,
-
11 other brothers. And then he blessed him. Man,
-
he became the favorite of his father. Then God
-
broke him. Into the pit. Then into prison. Broke
-
him until he was just no more of himself. And
-
then God gave him to Israel as the deliverer
-
of Israel. Isn't that what he did with David?
-
He took David from following the sheep. And tending
-
the sheep. And then he blessed him. I mean he
-
killed the bear. Killed the lion. Killed the
-
giant. And then went into the king's palace.
-
Was even given the king's daughter. And then
-
God. Say it louder. He broke him. I mean when
-
God broke him. It's almost too hard to read.
-
When you follow the life of David. And when he
-
was done. In Ziklag. The Bible says he cried.
-
Until he had no more tears left to cry. And then
-
God gave him. And God has taken this little church,
-
taken you from different places. I mean, you
-
know, it's just amazing how you all came together.
-
And then God really blessed you. Broke you when
-
he gave you this pastor, but blessed you. Honestly,
-
God blessed you. And then God took you through
-
a season. This last couple of, you should have
-
been, you know, on all practical purposes, you
-
should have already been in your fourth service,
-
you know, I mean, jam -packed full, stuff like
-
that. But instead, you lost people. People started
-
leaving. They don't understand the plan of God.
-
And here we are. Play for me, please. Here we
-
are. God is about to give you. Look past the
-
building. The building is just a tool. Come on,
-
fill the atmosphere with some amens. The buildings,
-
yeah. You know, when I joke about the things
-
about your pastor, they really are just jokes.
-
God has given you a wonderful team here. Come
-
on. The only good thing that can happen over
-
and above that is if I can join the team too.
-
I'm kidding. How many of you would like to see
-
me join the team here? How many of you will be
-
okay with it if they offer me a salary of 10
-
,000 a month? He will lose much more hair. What
-
am I saying? You are here. It's time. Everybody
-
say it's time. Look past yourself. Look past
-
your problems. Look past the things that are
-
going on and have been going on. Lock in with
-
God. He's got a time and a future for you and
-
a purpose. This next few months, in fact, the
-
next two years, it's going to be phenomenal.
-
But you're not through the breaking experience
-
yet. And when you get to the place where God
-
can finally use you, you will finally get to
-
a place where you realize it's all God. It's
-
not us. It's all God. Stand on your feet. Raise
-
your hands towards God. Say, it's all God. You
-
know, as you stand there this morning, I don't
-
know how many of you, I feel most of you, can
-
connect with this message that God has brought
-
to you this weekend. And what you need to do
-
is connect at the highest level of relationship.
-
That means it becomes a blood connection with
-
this church. God needs this family to be closer
-
to each other than ever before. Because of what
-
is going to happen. Come on, can I hear an amen?
-
Yeah, go ahead. Clap hands. need to do right
-
now is i'm going to ask you right there where
-
you stand to disconnect from what you thought
-
the enemy is doing whether it be pain emotional
-
pain physical tonight we're going to have a healing
-
service and god is going to heal many people
-
but here this morning i want you to disconnect
-
from disappointments the past Everything that
-
happened in the past. Disconnect from it. Connect
-
with him who walks with us. Come on, can I hear
-
an amen? Because you have to know him in the
-
power of his resurrection. That's what Paul said,
-
that I may know him in the power of his resurrection.
-
So, will you take your two hands like this and
-
put them on your bosom. Like this. And what I
-
want you to do is I want you to do this in the
-
spirit. That means you're going to have to use
-
your most intense imagination. And grab pain.
-
Grab disappointment. Because all those things
-
have happened to you for a reason. Come on, can
-
I hear an amen? But I want you to disconnect
-
from it. It's now time for the future. And I
-
want you to grab it as if you can. Just let your
-
knuckles become white around it. As I pray. Father,
-
I ask you to send the Holy Spirit. as our connection
-
here this morning to everyone. Holy Spirit, I'm
-
asking you, please, let a miracle happen in the
-
lives of moms, dads, children. In the name of
-
Jesus, bring me up a little bit more. Bring me
-
up. Bring my sound up a little bit more. Now,
-
Lord, I want to ask you, as we... Disconnect
-
from the pain in the past. Will you connect us
-
to the promise of the future? In the name of
-
Jesus. Now, take that pain and the disappointments,
-
the heartaches, family problems, and pull it
-
out of yourself as if you could. Keep your hands
-
closed, your hands, and lift it up high. Like
-
this with the hands closed. Lift it up. Say this
-
with me corporately. Say Holy Spirit. Here it
-
is. You know my heart. You know my pain. I don't
-
need to carry it on my shoulders no more. I'm
-
not going to Remember the pain. Let me see you.
-
In the name of Jesus. Now with your hands up
-
there. Open your hands and release it. Go ahead
-
and praise God as you release it. Go ahead. or
