-
So as you see, Pastor Brad and Jennifer are not
-
with us this morning. They're in Klamath Falls
-
sharing at a church down there. But we have a
-
great guest with us this morning. Mara and Leah
-
Kong from Cambodia. We've known Leah for years.
-
Long time. We won't share how long. That'll share
-
how old we are. But we've known each other a
-
very long time. And just see her life grow and
-
see her life be put in the missions of... the
-
mission field of Cambodia and meet Mara, a wonderful
-
man of God. And just to actually see them together
-
on the mission field back in 2003 or 2004, we
-
were there with them and Jesse and Soren, the
-
team. It's just a wonderful thing. And so would
-
you just welcome Mara and Leah Kong as they come
-
and share with us this morning? Wow. Thanks.
-
It's so great to be home. And I'm not emotional
-
in this service, so that's good. We just feel
-
so loved and blessed and supported by you and
-
your church and your leadership team. And we
-
just want to say thank you for that. It makes
-
our job so much better when we can have the love
-
and the support of people like you. When times
-
are tough and we're stretched beyond capacity,
-
it really makes a difference. So I just want
-
to say thank you for everything that you've done,
-
for everything you're doing, for everything you
-
will do. But we really count it as a... great
-
privilege and honor to do what we're doing in
-
cambodia which is changing a nation changing
-
a nation for god for for people to encounter
-
the living god and as my husband will share all
-
the great things that god does there and you
-
have a part to play with that because you you're
-
sowing seed and you're praying for us and you're
-
um Doing the things that we need to do to bring
-
fruit and results in that country. And it's a
-
great thing. It's a great thing for us to see
-
and be a part of. And hopefully you hear all
-
about that. But anyways, I just want to thank
-
you. And thank you for that. And also just encourage
-
you. I shared in the first service. You know,
-
sometimes we sit there and we're not sure. We
-
pray for countries very far away and we don't
-
know what's going on and we're not really sure.
-
Is God answering the prayers? Is God moving?
-
But I just want to testify that He is. I get
-
the privilege to travel to different countries
-
and different churches and God's doing great
-
things all over the world and He's really changing
-
nations. And so I just want to encourage you
-
as you pray, keep the prayers up. God is doing
-
great things among the nations. We're in Southeast
-
Asia, so we get to know lots of what's going
-
on there. But God is doing great things. And
-
so just keep up the prayers and be encouraged
-
that your prayers make a huge difference, a huge
-
difference. And so we just appreciate your prayers
-
and your support and let my husband do it. Thank
-
you, dear. Well, is it still morning or afternoon
-
already? Can't say good morning and good afternoon
-
at the same time, you know. So how are you doing
-
today? You know, I just want to, my wife has
-
shared a little bit, you know, I just want to
-
say thank you so much, you know, to Life Bible
-
and the Pastoral team and the church have been
-
behind us, you know, supporting and praying and
-
loving. I feel loved, you know, by your church,
-
really, you know, and this morning, you know.
-
Thank Pastor Brad and Jen and the whole leadership
-
team, you know, taking the risk, you know, allowing
-
me to share. You know, I'm not a native, you
-
know, English speaker, you know. So when I speak,
-
you got to, you know, paying attention to what,
-
you know, I say. You know, otherwise you're going
-
to miss a point, you know. Because I was born
-
and raised, you know, in the countryside of Cambodia,
-
you know. Cambodia one thing and then in the
-
countryside another, you know. You know, I get
-
to learn English a little bit. And on top of
-
that, I get to know the Lord, you know. And,
-
you know, if you trace back the history of our
-
church, you know, people coming over, you know,
-
Roger came over for the first trip with Chuck
-
McCall, you know, to Cambodia, I think in 94,
-
95. And, you know, we have a history together.
-
And we... You know, we're blessed, you know,
-
that we are working together with God and with
-
you, you know, from a distance, you know, thousands
-
of miles away. And your love, you know, still
-
connected, you know, with us. And, you know,
-
just want to give a brief report, you know, church
-
back home doing great. You know, we have a wonderful
-
team back home. Our senior pastors, Jesse McCall
-
and Saul, and we have a wonderful team over there.
-
We believe for the great thing for our nation.
-
If you're talking about Cambodia, you might have
-
heard that Cambodia has been a sad country. The
-
country of genocide and killing thousands of
-
people. The country of civil wars. Country that,
-
you know, like now they're known as a country
-
like, you know, like prostitution, you know,
-
human trafficking, you know, and drugs and all
-
that. But we believe that the church will change
-
the rupturation of the country. You know? We
-
believe that. We believe that we're born in the
-
right time as this, you know? This is the right
-
time. You know, that the Lord allowed me, allowed
-
you to have relationship with him. You know,
-
and so, you know, I can't say, you know, you
-
know, I mean, enough, you know, that we have
-
the great God and you also partnership with us.
-
You know, Steve and Pastor Ron, Pastor Elton
-
and Pastor Heather and everyone come over. You
-
know, I really appreciate it. The reason that
-
we get to grow. You know, because everyone loving
-
us. Everyone coming, you know, supporting us.
-
The church in the city, you know, we got around
-
2 ,000, 2 ,000 something, you know, people coming
-
to worship with us. And, you know, we got a plan,
-
180, you know, congregations, you know, throughout
-
the country. And, you know, and we got everything,
-
you know, going on. Back in Cambodia and everyone
-
just believe that the church is the solution,
-
you know, to the country. We are, you know, the
-
lead. We are set the standard for the country.
-
We believe that, you know. Really, we really
-
mean it. And so the next four years or five years,
-
we aiming to see another 500 churches, you know,
-
being planned in Cambodia. And we believe by
-
that time, you know, the population of the Cambodian
-
belief, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, going
-
to rise to the 10%. You know, after the population
-
of Christians rise to 10%, then there's nothing
-
will stop that. Of course, there's nothing will
-
stop the work by God back home, you know. And
-
I'm so excited, you know, that I get to be born.
-
You know, in such a time as this, you know, that
-
the Lord allowed me to live, you know. And so
-
if you look back, you know, it's lots of suffering,
-
you know, in this world. You know, but we have
-
God. We have Jesus. Our God is alive. He is not
-
dead. And he loves you and he loves me. You know,
-
by the way, I just want to say happy Father's
-
Day. To all the fathers, you know, that are here,
-
you know, your job and your role is so important,
-
you know, to your family. And families don't
-
forget, you know, about these men, you know,
-
they need encourage too, you know. I don't know
-
about men here, but the men in Cambodia, they,
-
you know, they don't want to show emotion that
-
they need help, you know. They pretend like they
-
are. Great all the time. Actually, in there,
-
you know, they need lots of help, you know, including
-
myself as pastor, you know. And so, don't forget,
-
you know, to encourage the father, you know,
-
of the house. They need lots of encouragement.
-
All right? Okay, I have a, you know, a lesson,
-
you know, I hope that it will help us today.
-
The lesson today is going to be like stories,
-
you know, lots of stories. I'm going to bring
-
a story from the Bible. Since I'm not that great
-
in reading the scripture, you know, I want you
-
to read. And then, you know, through that, I
-
believe that you will learn something through
-
that reading as well. All right? Will you help
-
me to read the scripture from the overhead? Okay?
-
Okay. So, before we read, let's pray and invite
-
the Spirit of the Lord, you know, to lead us,
-
to help us to understand more. Heavenly Father,
-
Lord God. Will you help us, Lord, to understand
-
these scriptures? Lord God, and help us to know
-
you more. Help us to love you more. I know that
-
you love us so much, Lord God. And so, Lord,
-
I lift this time into you, put this time into
-
your hand in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus
-
Christ. Amen. Okay, let's read the scripture
-
together. So it's a long scriptures. Okay, let's
-
count one, two, three. Okay, one more. Again,
-
again. One, two, three. Could you pause right
-
there? So wherever Jesus at, always people, you
-
know, always crowd following him, you know. In
-
the midst of the crowd, you know, there's some
-
people need some helps, you know. This guy by
-
the name of Jairus, you know, his daughter at
-
the point of what? At the point of death. But
-
he knows that Jesus can help him, you know. So
-
he go and, you know, try to bring Jesus home
-
because he knows that Jesus is the answer to
-
his family. Okay, go on. 24. Okay, 27 and 29.
-
30 and 32, 2 to 32. Where is Jesus going in this
-
story? Jairus' house. And on the way there, what
-
happened? Yeah, he got interrupted, you know.
-
And so, who is the one that, you know, urging
-
Jesus, you know, wanting Jesus to go to their
-
home? Jairus. Yeah, because his daughter is at
-
the point of death. But he got interrupted, you
-
know. Could you imagine if you were Jairus? You
-
know, he said, come on, Jesus. I'm the first
-
person, you know. First come, first serve, right?
-
Come on, Jesus. I'm the first person, you know.
-
So why you stop right here, you know? Why? But,
-
you know, this lady, she was desperately need
-
help. She didn't ask Jesus for anything. All
-
she, you know, hoped for is to touch his garment.
-
That's it, you know. That is her goal. I just
-
touch him. Then I make, well, you know, then
-
I will be healed. This lady have faith. But Jesus
-
got interrupted. Just, you know, so who touch
-
me? And the disciple kind of doubt. Jesus, look.
-
Hundreds and thousands of people follow you.
-
Why you ask who touch me? You know? So the disciple,
-
you know, didn't believe Jesus either. You know,
-
they see a lot. They live with Jesus. They see
-
a lot of, you know, things going on. But they...
-
Jesus, come on. You have a brain? You know, sometimes
-
you talk to God like that as well, you know.
-
And so, God, you have knowledge, you know. And
-
so, but something's happening, you know, right
-
there. Because Jesus, you know, I mean, because
-
of that lady have faith. Okay. And so, where
-
were we? Okay. Now go to 33. 2 .35? Yep. We done
-
33 yet? Okay. Now 35, 36? Sorry? Okay. 35 to
-
36. You know, if I were Jairus, I would say,
-
see? You know, if you would have went. You know,
-
my daughter would be okay. You know, you just,
-
you know, got distracted. Why you do this to
-
me? I'm the first person, you know, that invite
-
you to come to my house. Why you stop right here?
-
You know, people said, don't bother him. Don't
-
bother teacher. Don't bother, you know, Jesus.
-
Your daughter have died. People would think,
-
oh, you know, this God can only heal the sick
-
people. You know, but it's too late for Jesus.
-
Don't bother him anymore. Sometimes, you know,
-
people think that something big, you know, too
-
difficult for God. God cannot do it. God can
-
only heal headache. That's it, you know. But
-
God can do great things. Look at the word that
-
Jesus said to Jairus, you know. Do not be afraid
-
any longer. Only what? Only believe. Okay. Let's
-
finish our scriptures 37 and 39. I mean, yeah,
-
39 or 40. The way, you know, of people think,
-
they just, it's too much, it's dead, it's over,
-
you know. Let's do funeral, you know. I believe
-
that they think that way. But Jesus said, they
-
just asleep, you know. People, you know, when
-
they see bad thing happen to them, their first
-
response is fear or crying or complaining. You
-
know, rather than my God can do this. There is
-
nothing that my God cannot do. I'm going to walk
-
through this with no problem. Because my God
-
can help me. You know, but many times people
-
complain. When they complain, going off, you
-
know, it starts to go into our soul. And we believe
-
that, yeah, that's right. You know. So, you know.
-
It's not a story. People start to complain. I
-
don't know about here, but people back in Cambodia,
-
they always complain. When they see a bad thing
-
happen, they just complain and cry, especially
-
in my family. We have a great fear in our family.
-
I thank God that we start to, the Lord helping
-
us to live our life. It's getting better and
-
better. Okay, let's go to verse 40. So they're
-
a doubter, you know. And, you know, at this point,
-
at one moment, people were sad and crying and
-
all that. But the next morning, they laugh and
-
mocking at Jesus. Ha, ha, ha, why you say that,
-
you know. This person had been dead, you know,
-
completely. And so, but Jesus, you know, make
-
it happen. Verse 42 to 43. You know, if you look
-
at scriptures, you know, through whole the Bible,
-
throughout whole the Bible, you can see like
-
the dead people respond to Jesus well, you know.
-
But the alive people giving some reason, oh,
-
should I believe it? Oh, is this word right?
-
Or is this word truth? Or what? You see the Lazarus,
-
you know, he's in the tomb for a long time, you
-
know, a couple of days, three days. You know,
-
his flesh start rotten, but Jesus speak. Guess
-
what? The dead body responds to Jesus' word.
-
Sometimes, you know, believers. It's not a story,
-
you know, you can go back and start to study
-
and allow God to, you know, help us in life.
-
But sometimes, you know, we seem to have so many
-
reasons. Well, God, you know, what about this?
-
What about that? Why you say that? Why you say
-
this? You know, just respond. Dead people respond
-
to Jesus so well. therefore they come back to
-
life. But the alive people sometimes, they have
-
so many excuses, so many reasons, you know. Why
-
does this happen? Why does that happen? We tell
-
Jesus, see, you know, this thing happened because
-
of that, you know. Jesus, you don't understand
-
this, you know. So it's a whole lot of lessons
-
we can learn from. But I pick out some points,
-
you know, this morning from this story. Point
-
number one, believe. That God can do all things.
-
Believe it. You know. Believe it. It's not you
-
that can do all things. It's not me that can
-
do all things. We, you know, we're smart. We
-
have degrees and all that. We can do something.
-
But God can do all things. There is nothing that
-
this God cannot do. See, Jairus believed that
-
only Jesus can help him. You know. And to heal
-
his daughter and bring his daughter back to life.
-
Only Jesus, you know. So he believed, you know.
-
And the lady, you know, she had an issue with
-
blood for how many years? Twelve years, you know.
-
She did everything, you know, to get that thing
-
healed. She never get healed. But instead what?
-
Getting worse, you know. Get worse. But she had
-
faith in Jesus. I don't need him praying for
-
me. But I just touched his garment, that's it.
-
I just touched it, you know. She believed, she
-
had faith that this God can help her, you know.
-
So, you know, in life, we need to believe. Because
-
our knowledge, our ability is limited, really.
-
You know, we cannot do everything. Even though
-
I know how to do something. But my God can do
-
greater things than I am, you know. Therefore,
-
I have to believe in God. Because, you know,
-
because God is good. And, you know, a couple
-
months ago, you know, we own this piece of land,
-
you know, our family. And then we want to haul
-
the dirt, you know, because that land is low.
-
We want to, you know, buy the dirt and haul it
-
into that land. But the one problem is in that
-
particular month, you know, it's starting to
-
have monsoon season, you know, the raining season.
-
And so when the monsoon season, raining season,
-
they cannot bring the dirt into the land. And
-
because, you know, the land, the soil is soft
-
and the trucks cannot bring the dirt in. But
-
I believe that my God can help me. Say, God,
-
will you stop the rain, you know, for this month?
-
You know, will you stop the rain? And because
-
we want to bring the dirt into our property.
-
Guess what? God did it. God can stop the rain.
-
God can control the sky. Because God can do everything,
-
you know. Our God can do everything. This one
-
time. Another story, you know, we went out by
-
the coast and, you know, this one village, you
-
know, we have to, you know, go through the boat,
-
you know, in order to go to that village. But
-
that one particular day, there's a storm, you
-
know, coming by. And the people that live there,
-
they own the boat. Every time they see the dark
-
cloud, they don't want to cross the ocean. They
-
said it's too dangerous. But we made a promise
-
to the villagers that we want to go there. You
-
know, we want to go there. So as we board the
-
boat, get in the ocean, you know what? It starts
-
raining. And dark clouds start to come. And the
-
fishermen, the guy that owns the boat says, see,
-
it's not good. It's dangerous. You know what?
-
We believe that God can do everything. We speak
-
to the storm. We tell the storm to stop. You
-
have no right to come this way and clear up the
-
sky. Tell you what, the Lord did it. The Lord
-
did it. There's no rain. And the guy was so amazed.
-
And we get the cross to the other side. Yeah.
-
It's not me that have the power. Who has the
-
power? Jesus has the power. Did Jesus love me
-
more than Jesus loves you? No. He loves us the
-
same. But, you know, we believe that Jesus. can
-
do everything. You know, Jesus can do everything.
-
In 1997, you know, I believe that God will give
-
me a wife. You know, my grandma, you know, pushing
-
me to get married because I'm one of her grandson,
-
you know, favorite grandson. And she getting
-
old. She said, you need to get married before
-
I die. And she would have, you know, pick this
-
girl and pick that girl, you know. Asian culture,
-
we have to arrange marriages, you know. If the
-
father or mother said, Jess, you know, you need
-
to marry to that person, you need to do it, you
-
know. You have to do it. But I tell my grandma,
-
I say, Grandma, I am not going to marry to the
-
unbeliever. But my God will give me a wife. And
-
she said, but I am old. I said, Grandma, you
-
will see my wife before you die. Actually, to
-
make a long story short, she got to see Leah,
-
and she even see my daughter before she passed
-
away. She passed away in 2004, but she got to
-
see Leah. We talked to each other. Leah doesn't
-
communicate that much to my grandma, but I pray
-
for a wife. I ask God for a wife. God give me
-
a wife. I believe that. And then God gave me
-
a dream of a white girl, you know, with the curly
-
hair. So, you know, I believe in a dream, you
-
know. There are some Cambodian people, like Cambodian
-
Chinese, they are, you know, white too, you know.
-
So I'm looking for the, you know, white and curly,
-
you know, curly hair, you know. Who are they,
-
you know, where are you, you know. Keep looking.
-
But God, at that time, you know, I think 98,
-
I got a dream. Leah is still in the States. She
-
never been to Cambodia. But I saw her already.
-
In my dream. See our God is a good God. You know.
-
When you believe. You know. And he will help
-
us. You know. So I got a lot of story to tell.
-
Is it all right? I asked God. I said God I got
-
saved. What about my family? My brothers? My
-
sisters? They don't get saved yet. And my dad
-
kind of you know really upset. You know after
-
I graduated from the university. And then I believed
-
in Jesus. I shamed him, you know, after I got
-
a good degree and then turned around and believed
-
in Jesus. Once you believe in another religion,
-
it's considered you betrayed, you know, the nation.
-
You betrayed it, you know. And so, no, I didn't
-
do that. But I believe that this God is a good
-
God. My dad kind of fighting, but I believe that
-
my family belongs to Jesus. Make a long story
-
short, now my whole family believe in Jesus.
-
My dad really loved Jesus. So God is good. So
-
I pray for a wife. God give me a wife. I, you
-
know, pray for my family. And God, you know,
-
bring my family to Jesus. And so lots of story,
-
you know. There are many things that we cannot
-
do and God can do it. Another story, you know,
-
we believe. There's a man, you know, who have
-
a problem with a bladder. He got an accident.
-
And then somehow he broke that bladder, you know,
-
in the accident. And because of the bladder broke,
-
you know, the urine, urine, you call urine? The
-
pee, you know, coming out nonstop. So the man
-
cannot wear the normal pants. He just wear the
-
skirt. If you go to the man's house, you would
-
have smelled, you know, from a distant away.
-
It's so strong. And so they tried their best
-
like the lady, you know, with the issue of blood
-
for 12 years. They tried their best, but they
-
said there's no help. So this one time, myself
-
and another guy go to that home and we pray for
-
that man. God is a good God. Our God can do what
-
people cannot do. I tell you, our God healed
-
that man. That man now got married and he, you
-
know, have kid. And I mean, that man got healed.
-
He got married, had kids, and now he become one
-
of the pastor, you know, in our provincial church.
-
So, you know, God is good, you know. So sometimes
-
in people's life, in my life, I don't know about
-
in your life, sometimes something we believe.
-
Something we don't believe. I would say it's
-
a part -time Christian. You know? Or do you believe
-
God full -time or part -time? You know? Or sometimes
-
you believe or sometimes you don't believe. It's
-
like a part -time job or full -time job. Are
-
you familiar with that? You know, if you're a
-
part -time job, you only work certain days, certain
-
hours. You know, if you're a part -time believer,
-
you believe in some day and some other day you
-
don't believe. Are we a part -time believer or
-
a full -time believer? You know, if we are a
-
full -time believer, life is a lot easier. Because
-
it's not us that's trying to solve this problem.
-
It's not us that's trying to fix this problem.
-
But it's the Lord. We believe Him, Lord. Even
-
though the small thing, the big thing, you do
-
it. I just believe that you can do this. You
-
know? Let's allow yourself to believe God full
-
-time, not part -time. Do you understand that?
-
Understand believe part -time or full -time?
-
Have you ever seen people believe in God part
-
-time or full -time? Have you ever seen that?
-
Sometimes, including myself. I believe in, I'm
-
a pastor. Sometimes, you know, it's like part
-
-time believer. You know, God, that thing is
-
a big thing, you know. Maybe you cannot do some
-
thought, you know, thinking that way, you know.
-
But this one time, I was on a plane from New
-
Zealand back to Singapore. And it's a big storm,
-
you know. I hate to go, you know, in a plane
-
with a turbulence, you know. I just, you know,
-
keep doing that. I say, God, I don't want to
-
die, you know, in a plane crash. You know, it's
-
so crazy. If I'm in a boat before I die, at least
-
I swim, you know. If the plane crash, that's
-
it, you know. I don't know how to survive, you
-
know. And so, it's so hard, you know. It's so
-
hard. That night, I just say, okay. I tell you
-
what, God. If I die, I die. I'm going to choose
-
to believe in you. I try to calm the storm. It
-
calms a little bit. A little later, it starts
-
bouncing up and down again. But I just say, okay,
-
I choose to believe because I tell God that.
-
And I keep talking to my soul that I choose to
-
believe. I choose to believe. I choose to trust
-
in you. See? So after that, I get to sleep, you
-
know, in the plane, you know, in the midst of
-
turbulence. You know, I'm okay. I'm safe. I'm
-
still alive because my God is a good God. Amen?
-
Our God is a good God. Point number two, you
-
know, always follow Jesus' instructions. Yeah,
-
instruction or follow what he say. Always follow
-
his instruction. You know, In my life, I am so
-
appreciative, appreciate the people that love
-
me and give me advice and all that. Their advice
-
are awesome. I really thank God for them. But
-
the advice from Jesus is better. Advice from
-
God is better. Always follow his advice. Advice
-
from people are good. But advice from people,
-
I mean, the Lord is better. You know, Jairus
-
have a problem. He heard that your daughter,
-
you know, have died. That's it. Sometimes, you
-
know, the bad news can destroy everything, you
-
know. If you watch TV, you watch CNN, all you
-
see is bad news, bad news, bad news, bad news,
-
bad news, you know. Where are the good news?
-
Before I went to Korea, you know, I bought CNN.
-
They said, oh, it's a merge, this merge that
-
killed this many people and that many people.
-
And this many people got, you know, this problem
-
and that problem. I just saw that. I said, oh,
-
man, I go to Korea, but I'm going to trust the
-
Lord. When I get to Korea, it's not like what
-
CNN say. Like CNN like the whole lot of exaggeration,
-
you know. And people are just living their life
-
normal, you know, like what they said in the
-
news. So sometimes be careful, you know, allowing
-
the bad news, you know, control over our life,
-
you know. And so, and sometimes allow that bad
-
news and learn from the bad news, you know, like
-
crazy stuff in there, you know. So always like,
-
but Jesus tell Jairus, you know, do not be afraid.
-
any longer, only believe. Can you imagine your
-
son or daughter in the midst of a big need and
-
dying, and then you have to worry about it. Say,
-
what's going to happen to my daughter? What's
-
going to happen to my daughter? What's going
-
to happen to my daughter? Is she going to survive
-
or not? But Jesus said, don't be afraid any longer.
-
Just believe only. When you believe, Something
-
great happened. Something great happened because
-
of this guy's belief. And this guy's willing
-
to wait for Jesus to go to their home. You know?
-
In Luke chapter 5, you know, verse 5, you know,
Luke 5 chapter mention
-
Simon, you know, he's an expert fisherman. They've
-
been fishing all night long. Sometimes expert
-
people could fail too. Right? Yeah. This guy's
-
been fishing all night long. They catch no fish.
-
No fish. But Jesus said, Peter, go in further
-
and throw your net. Peter said, God, since you
-
say so, I will do it. Guess what? When he followed
-
Jesus' instruction, he caught tons of fish. You
-
know? Lots of fish. They were so amazed that
-
they never ever catch fish that, you know, that
-
many. You know, because of... They follow Jesus'
-
instruction. Jesus' instruction is really good.
-
You know, before I served the Lord full time,
-
I owned a business, you know, electrical construction.
-
And I enjoy doing that. You know, I make good
-
income and I know how to do with electricals
-
and plumbing. I can do that, you know. But after
-
God called me to... help build his house, you
-
know, I just close everything down and help,
-
you know, work for the church. But anyway, this
-
one time we got a short in a concrete wall, you
-
know, and the logical thinking that you need
-
to break the wall, you know, we don't want explosive,
-
you know, and, you know, when the short, you
-
know, when the electricity, you know, trying
-
to get to each other, you know, getting hot and
-
hot and, you know, one day, you know, you get
-
a fire. But he said, no, let's not break the
-
wall. Just pray and see what the Lord say. We
-
pray that particular night, the Lord give me
-
a dream. Just say, you know, you go to this particular
-
spot and you break it, you'll see it. You know,
-
the Lord even care about a small thing, you know?
-
Yeah. I was so excited that day. You know, bring
-
hammer and she's all go to the spot that the
-
Lord told me in the dream. Because I believe
-
in a dream. The Lord give me the dream about,
-
you know, the lady that I will get married to,
-
you know. It's just exactly, you know. And then
-
another time the Lord, you know, give me the
-
dream about the electric car short in the concrete
-
wall, you know. And so sure enough, that particular
-
spot, there was a short. See, our God knows everything.
-
Just follow his instruction, you know. You save
-
a lot when you follow his instruction. Another
-
time, you know, our kids, when they were young,
-
you know, Naomi and Anna, they got sick at the
-
same time. When they got sick, you know, it's
-
difficult for the parents. We can't sleep, you
-
know. They really cry, and it's hard, you know,
-
as a father to see your kids were sick. And also,
-
you know, in and out to the doctor's office.
-
And I hate to spend the money that we're supposed
-
not to spend, you know. I hate to do that. But
-
I was so tired. I prayed for people and people
-
being healed and this and that. But I prayed
-
for my kid. My kid's still sick. Come on, God.
-
I need help. So this one particular night, you
-
know, I was so tired. You know, because my kids,
-
two of them were sick. I just getting ready to,
-
you know, go to take a bath and get ready to
-
go to bed because I was so tired. On the way
-
to the bathroom to take a shower, I feel like
-
God say, Mar, do you believe that I can save
-
you from your sin? I said, God, you are the only
-
God that I trust. I told you already, Lord, that
-
you are the God. Only God can forgive me from
-
my sin, you know. You are the God that can forgive
-
me. And so, and then he said, then you think
-
that I cannot heal your kids? Oh, God. You know,
-
we're in a conversation with the Lord, and then
-
I go to the bathroom. I say, God, I know that
-
you can forgive me my sin. I say, okay, God.
-
I start to worship God in the bathroom, you know.
-
you know, kneel down and worship God and take
-
a shower and go to bed. Tell you what, the next
-
day, two of my kids just healed just like that.
-
They are well, you know, because God is good.
-
You know, God is good. There's nobody, you know,
-
there's no other God can be good as our God,
-
you know. So, Just believe, you know. Like Mary,
-
you know, at the wedding place, they run out
-
of the wine. You know, they need some wine. And
-
Mary tell people, you know, at the wedding place,
-
just do what he said. You know, we need to train
-
ourselves to do what he said. You know, that
-
would help us a lot more. And our life is a lot
-
more easier. And point number three, you know,
-
fight. Fight the good fight of faith. When you
-
go to the battlefield, do you want to lose it?
-
Do you want to be defeated or do you want to
-
win the battlefield? How many times have you
-
been battling with something? How many times?
-
And I don't mean to condemn you and stuff like
-
that, but sometimes the tricky part in our mind
-
just says we cannot do this. You know, like the
-
Israelites go to war, you know, with Goliath.
-
These soldiers have experiences, you know, during
-
wars so many times. But the Bible said every
-
time that Goliath guy get out and they just run
-
like crazy. They just run. Run for life. Come
-
on, that guy don't do anything, just yelling,
-
yelling, yelling. Sometimes the demon is yelling
-
at you. Say, you cannot do this. You cannot do
-
that. You are a failure. You can never do this.
-
You can never do that. You will be sick forever.
-
You're going to die. It's just all of this stupid
-
stuff. I'm sorry to say that, you know. The demon
-
planted in people's mind. And then we start to
-
believe, oh yeah, that's right. Oh yeah, I'm
-
struggle. Oh, yes, I will never, ever get a good
-
job. Oh, yes, I will never, ever, you know, going
-
to overcome this. Oh, yes, my kid going to be
-
in this forever. Yeah, they're not going to believe
-
in Jesus. Oh, they're not going to make it, you
-
know. This is the bad thing. But as the man,
-
David guy said, I'm not going to let this guy
-
looking down, you know, after our soldiers and,
-
you know, the soldier of the most high God. I'm
-
going to go after this guy, you know. Look. I
-
used to kill bears and, you know, and lions and
-
all that. I'm going to go after these guys, you
-
know. Because these guys have an attitude of,
-
I could not do it, but my God can do it. But
-
my God used me to do it, you know. I can do it.
-
Sometime, you know, we need to rise. We can do
-
it, you know. Rise up. Fight with a good fight
-
of faith. Don't allow the demon to control over
-
our family any longer, you know. No more, you
-
know. No more. Have no more right to control
-
over our family. Sickness, disease, and poverty
-
and stuff like that. You have no more right to
-
get into my family. My family belongs to the
-
Lord Jesus Christ. My son and daughter are going
-
to make it. They're going to be great. They're
-
going to serve the Lord. They're going to make
-
a difference in their life because my God is
-
good. My God only knows how to give good things
-
to me. Only knows how to give good things to
-
my children. You know? Believe it. Fight with
-
the good fight of faith. Do not allow, you know,
-
all of the monics in a thing to rule over your
-
thought. Just fight with it. You know? So, every
-
time you go to the battle of fear, I believe
-
that you want to win. But sometimes, you know,
-
throughout the Bible, I can see, like, you know,
-
we can learn from people's experiences. Jairus
-
and the lady with the issue of blood, they trust
-
in the Lord, you know. But there are some people,
-
they're in the midst of Jesus, and they don't
-
know anything about it. They ignore Jesus, you
-
know. Like this lady, you know, Martha, you're
-
familiar with that story, you know, she invites
-
Jesus into her home. When Jesus comes into her
-
home, Guess what? She ignored Jesus. She do something
-
else, you know. And her sister Mary just sit
-
down and listening to Jesus, you know, what Jesus
-
have to say. So, but Martha just complaining,
-
say, why my sister don't help me, you know. Sometimes
-
in life, you know, we are praying, you know,
-
we fighting with something and then we get Jesus.
-
We tell Jesus, make our problem known to Jesus.
-
But after that, in Jesus' name, amen. Finish
-
it. And go around and do something else. Without
-
Jesus, this is my story. Jesus, this is my problem.
-
But Jesus, how can I do this? Jesus, how can
-
I overcome that? And listening to him. Don't
-
quit to say amen and go do something else. You
-
know? In Asian culture, if you, you know, somebody
-
invite you to, I mean. If I'm invited to someone's
-
home and if the owner of the house ignores me,
-
it's considered really rude. You know, really
-
rude. But Martha doing that, you know. Sometimes
-
I feel like in Christian's life, you know, we
-
invite Jesus. We tell Jesus all the long list.
-
And then in Jesus' name, amen. You know, forgetting
-
to listen to what he has to say. You know, when
-
we're fighting, we listen to Jesus, you know.
-
And another story, you know, this quote from
-
John chapter 5. This guy, you know, he got a
John 5 chapter mention
-
problem, you know. He have a problem, you know,
-
the guy at Bethesda pool. You know, he's there
-
and he got this problem for 38 years. When he
-
sees Jesus, And he complained, you know, the
-
reason he's there because that place, Bethesda
-
pool, you know, once in a while, the angel of
-
the Lord come and stir up the water. Whatever
-
sickness, whatever disease, you know, whoever,
-
you know, wherever they from, if they get into
-
the pool before anyone else, whatever sickness
-
that people have, they will get healed. And this
-
guy said, oh, oh, sir. You know, every time the
-
water stir, I can never get into the water. Somebody
-
already there before me. You know, somebody get
-
healed before me. Poor me. I cannot do anything.
-
My life gonna be like this forever. I cannot
-
do it. This guy have the bad attitude. Have a
-
complaining attitude. Because he complained,
-
he allowed the complained spirit get into his
-
soul, therefore he's stuck there, you know. Can
-
you imagine if, you know, it's a long time ago,
-
say, oh, somebody get in already. You know, just,
-
hey, you know, I believe that guy got relatives
-
and stuff, why don't you, you know, carry me,
-
just put me next to the water, you know. Just
-
carry me or just scoot a little bit, you know,
-
a little bit at a time for a long time. The minute
-
that you see the water stir, just get in there.
-
You know, before anyone else. Don't just have
-
a bad attitude complaining. You know? This guy
-
don't know how to fight. But this guy know well
-
how to complain. Complaining will destroy people.
-
You know? Really destroy people. So let's not
-
allow the complaining spirit get into our life.
-
Allow the spirit of faith. I cannot do it now,
-
but I will do it better. tomorrow, next week,
-
and next month. I will be doing it. I will make
-
it, you know. Trust in the Lord. Have the good
-
fight, the faith. Do not allow anything to destroy
-
you. I mean the negative thing. Number four,
-
the last point, you know, have an attitude of
-
gratefulness, you know. I don't know about here,
-
you know, these people back home, I realize something
-
like people know how to remember bad stuff happen
-
to them. Oh, that guy have offended me. Therefore,
-
I'm not going to talk to him for 20 years, 30
-
years, you know. Oh, this person hurt me. Oh,
-
that hurt me. Oh, this, oh, that. You know, only
-
remember the bad things. And in there is full
-
of the memories with the bad thing. But, you
-
know, sometimes, you know, who do great thing
-
to us in our life? Tell me who. Is it our family
-
or somebody else? Most of the time, our family
-
help us the most. Is that right? Who are we fighting
-
with the most? Who? Who? Our family. Is it right?
-
You know? Me and Leah, we get married, but I
-
love her and she loves me, but we fight. Who
-
helps me the most? She helps me the most. I help
-
her the most, more than anyone else. But we fight
-
the most. But sometimes in fighting, we remember
-
the bad thing. Oh yeah, you've done that bad
-
thing that one time, or now you do it again.
-
Just remember all the bad things. Rather than
-
choose to, okay, thank you so much. You know,
-
that one time you do great thing. Even though
-
you do bad thing today, it's okay, you know.
-
I forgive you, you know. It's just remember,
-
learn to remember great thing in our life, you
-
know. I love the good memory store here. And
-
the bad memory need to be gone. Amen. I love
-
the good memory. Jesus, thank you so much. I
-
love our attitude. Train our attitude. I'm in
-
a thankful. Lord, so thankful. You know, thankful
-
for this, thankful for that. Oh, that one day,
-
Lord, thank you so much for, you know, find me
-
a good parking place. You know, it's a parking
-
spot just right, you know, and it's so busy.
-
Like, no, there's no spot at all, but there enough,
-
you know, right there. It's a good spot for,
-
you know, parking. Sometimes you even ask God
-
for a parking spot. Oh, God, I don't know. I
-
lost my key. I lost key, like. You know, a thousand
-
times, you know, every day, you know. I just
-
ask God, God, where's my key, you know. And so,
-
God, thank you so much that one day, you know,
-
you show me the key. I late to work, I late to
-
my appointment, but you show me, you know, my
-
motor key. So, thank you, you know. It's just,
-
you know, trying to train our memories, you know,
-
of the greatness God has done in our life. The
-
reason of our life nowadays. It's coming from
-
what you and I believe from yesterday and the
-
past. You know, if you want our lives to be the
-
same, just keep the same belief. But I don't
-
believe that you want the same. You want to be
-
a greater thing. You want to be more blessed.
-
You want to be more joyful and stuff like that.
-
But believe God for the greater thing. Believe
-
God for more blessing. So that you can help bless
-
other people. You know? Learn to bless others.
-
Don't allow any unbelief to get into your soul.
-
It will destroy your life. Allow the good and
-
positive and gratefulness that the Lord our God
-
can do. Allow it to grow more and more in our
-
life. You know? Because our God is so good. He
-
loves us so much. He prepares everything for
-
us. We are the victorious, you know, person.
-
We are the joyful people on earth, you know,
-
talking about life. We have somebody that helps
-
us. We have God that promises He's with us all
-
the time. He will never ever leave you or forsake
-
you. You know, He will never ever leave me or
-
forsake me. Why we forget Him? Why we leave Him
-
alone and just trying to do life by ourselves?
-
Just believe in God. I love God to help you.
-
You know, then their life will be a lot easier.
-
Amen. Will you pray with me? Hallelujah. Heavenly
-
Father, Lord God, thank you so much, Lord God,
-
for your love. Lord God, thank you so much for
-
choosing us, Lord God. We not deserve this, Lord
-
God, but you. Loved us. You first loved us, Lord
-
God. And Lord God, thank you for your sons and
-
daughters here. Lord God, that they love you
-
so much. Lord God, they are part of your plan.
-
Lord God, you plan for them to live in this period
-
of time, Lord God. And Lord God, I just ask that
-
you will bless them. Bless their family, Lord
-
God. And heal their sickness and stuff. Lord
-
God, build a wall of protection around their
-
life. around their business, around their families,
-
Lord God. Hallelujah, Lord God. Have things to
-
grow in their life. Have faith to grow in their
-
life. Have businesses to grow in their life.
-
And bless more income, Lord God, that no one
-
will suffer, even though the economy of the world
-
will suffer, but the children of the Most High
-
God will always have plenty and plenty to give.
-
Hallelujah, Lord God. Thank you, Father, Lord
-
God. Whatever disease, whatever sickness these
-
people have, Lord God, just heal them. Hallelujah.
-
Because you are the almighty God, can do it all,
-
Lord God. Hallelujah, Lord God. Thank you for
-
these precious sons and daughters, Lord God.
-
And lift them and their family into your hand
-
in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Amen.
-
Awesome. Let's all stand this afternoon as we
-
finish up. You know, I wish that, I said this
-
first service, I wish that he could speak, you
-
know, in his native language with the passion
-
that's inside of him because he just flippantly
-
said, yeah, this guy was constantly going to
-
the bathroom all the time and I went to his house
-
and I prayed for him and it doesn't do it anymore.
-
Whoa, rewind. You know, if he had his own words,
-
he could really paint the picture of what it
-
was like and all that type of stuff. I want to
-
live a life that my life is a testimony like
-
that. When somebody says to me, so you've got
-
a God, right? I do. You talk about him a lot.
-
I do. Well, tell me about what he's done for
-
you. And I have a testimony. I know many of you
-
do, but I don't want it to have stopped. I want
-
this week to be another week where I can give
-
the testimony. And I just want to honor, you
-
know, Mara. Mara, he's one of the second in command
-
type of guy there. And for us that do that for
-
Pastor Brad, we like this guy a lot. He does
-
amazing things over there. He's a general in
-
the kingdom of God. He's not a normal person.
-
He didn't tell you the story that some guy called
-
him and said that his mom passed away, right?
-
On the phone, he's like, Mara says, I'm busy.
-
Can you pray over the phone? I said, sure, I'll
-
pray. So an hour later he gets a phone call.
-
The lady is raised from the dead. That's powerful.
-
And he would be the first one to say it's God.
-
He says it's the first verse because God really
-
loved that lady. And he loves us. This week,
-
let's live that way. And I love the fact that
-
he said that dead people in the Bible. Really
-
responded to Jesus. Isn't that cool? The scripture
-
for that is I'm crucified with Christ. It's no
-
longer I who lives. I come to him dead. I denied
-
myself. Supposed to all morning. I took up that
-
cross. It's not about me. One thing that you
-
said I really want to appreciate and I want to
-
leave with you. Are you somebody who's louder
-
at complaining? or louder at fighting the good
-
fight. What a challenge. Ask those around you,
-
do you hear me complain more or do you hear me
-
fight more? You know, fight in the good way.
-
And I'm sure when he was saying he was fighting
-
with his wife, he was arguing, not physical fighting.
-
Just wanted to make sure. A lot of sensitive
-
people now. God's always giving her a hug. Let's
-
just pray. Father, I bless this awesome group
-
of people. Lord, help this be a wonderful, Father's
-
Day, and that you would just be with every aspect
-
of that today. That your grace would just be
-
there. But more importantly, this is the day
-
the Lord has made. We will choose to rejoice
-
and be glad in it. Father, bless the people as
-
they go today. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.
-
God bless you. Have a wonderful day. Or call
-
us at 541 -995 -8282.
