  1. Prophecy is to build the church. And prophecy

  2. really is not a preaching ability that comes

  3. on you. It's not a license to rebuke and correct

  4. others. It's not calling you to find a garbage

  5. in every person's life. And for the longest time,

  6. we thought that prophecy was all about finding

  7. the hidden sins of people's lives. So you announced

  8. that prophets were coming to the church, people

  9. stayed home. Because they were afraid of confrontation

  10. or the prophets revealing something. The reality

  11. is none of us are perfect. We all have shortcomings.

  12. You don't have to be a prophet to see the garbage

  13. in somebody's life. But you've got to be a prophet

  14. to see the treasure underneath the garbage. To

  15. see the gifts that call. To see the hope of their

  16. calling. To see what God has put in their lives.

  17. Amen? And I believe that God wants to train everybody

  18. here to be a treasure hunter. I believe as you

  19. get ready and want to be trained in prophetic

  20. ministries, I want to tell you that you're going

  21. to have to become a treasure hunter. You're going

  22. to have to see what others cannot see. Anybody

  23. can see the messes. Anybody can see the shortcomings.

  24. We can look at somebody and judge them by their

  25. cover, just like we judge a book. But when you

  26. look inside, there are treasures. that are hidden,

  27. hidden treasures of God. Some of those treasures,

  28. they might not even know they have. Can I remind

  29. you of Saul's story? When he went up looking

  30. for his... Donkeys, lost donkeys, shows up at

  31. the city. God had already told the prophet Samuel

  32. to wait for him at the door, that at that next

  33. day a man would come looking for him, and that

  34. he was the choice that God had for Israel. Israel

  35. was asking for a king. Saul was a young man,

  36. didn't even think about his future in that category.

  37. He never even thought that he would be capable

  38. of it. But Samuel waited for him and said, I've

  39. been waiting for you. Come up and have dinner

  40. with me. I've prepared a dinner for you. And

  41. tomorrow I'll reveal the thoughts that are in

  42. your heart. What he was talking about, tomorrow

  43. I'll reveal the secrets that are in your heart.

  44. The secrets. What secrets? The secret of God's

  45. purpose for your life. You're the king of Israel.

  46. The desire of Israel is for you and your household.

  47. You don't know it. No, but how can you talk like

  48. that to me? That's what Saul's response was.

  49. If I'm of the least, the least of my families

  50. and we're the least, the tribe that's the least

  51. above us and you're talking to me about these

  52. great things, why do you talk to me in this manner?

  53. Saul had no clue about what was in him already.

  54. But there was a king inside of him. Hello, are

  55. you with me? And there are people. In your church,

  56. people in your community, people who sit next

  57. to you on Sunday, people who work with you, people

  58. who have a secret of God inside of them, a purpose

  59. of God, a call of God on their life. Somebody's

  60. got to dare to open it up. Somebody's got to

  61. dare to bring them a revelation of the plan of

  62. God for their life. And I believe you're it.

  63. Look at somebody and say, you're it. It's your

  64. time. Amen. God wants to use you. Let me talk

  65. to you a few things about prophecy and we'll

  66. move along here. We'll take a little break in

  67. just a few minutes and then we'll come to the

  68. second session. All right, a few more minutes,

  69. five more minutes and we'll take a little break.

  70. The gift of prophecy. So it's not a preaching

  71. ability, though preaching can have prophecy in

  72. it. It's not this all of a sudden rhema ability

  73. that comes on you. It is a word from God, a specific

  74. word of God. And it has... It has, it should

  75. be limited. Prophecy has limitations put on it

  76. by the protocol of the New Testament. 1 Corinthians

    1 Corinthians 14:3

  77. 14 verse 3 says, but he who prophesies speaks

  78. edification, exhortation, and comfort to them,

  79. to men. Amen? Somebody say edification, exhortation,

  80. and comfort. And I believe that is a good limitation

  81. put on the prophetic ministry so that people

  82. don't go off prophesying people out of the church

  83. and into these destinies that are disconnected

  84. from the very thing that God is building. And

  85. let me say to you, whether you're a prophet or

  86. one who prophesies, who has the gift of prophecy,

  87. and the prophet is a call, but the gift of prophecy

  88. is an ability. It's different than a call. It's

  89. an ability to prophesy. Just because you prophesy

  90. doesn't make you a prophet. Some of the greatest

  91. mistakes in the church is calling everybody who

  92. prophesies a prophet. And we expect them to act

  93. with a certain measure of grace, but they don't

  94. have it because they haven't been called to be

  95. a prophet. They have a gift of prophecy. It's

  96. a whole different measure. Amen? And it's limited

  97. to... Edification, exhortation, and comfort.

  98. That's where you're at. Are you going to build

  99. a church? Are you going to exhort the church?

  100. And some people have thought exhortation is about

  101. rebuking the church. Well, exhortation can actually

  102. bring adjustment to the church, but it's done

  103. with great poise and with great respect for authority

  104. in the church and with great love for the bride.

  105. Be careful how you speak to the bride. It's the

  106. thing he most loves. Amen. Treat her right, the

  107. church. and comfort the church. Well, those are

  108. good limitations that the New Testament sets

  109. into place. 1 Corinthians 14, verse 22, it says,

    1 Corinthians 14:22

  110. Therefore tongues are for a side, not to those

  111. who believe, but to unbelievers. But prophecy

  112. is not for unbelievers, but for those who believe.

  113. For those who believe. So it's really something

  114. that it should be practiced in the church. Now

  115. you'll find, Believers out there who believe,

  116. you know, when you read of the Old Testament,

  117. how many know that Rahab was a believer? Before

  118. the spies ever talked to her, she already had

  119. a consciousness that your God is an awesome God.

  120. And because she heard the news, she had believed.

  121. Well, there are people all over our world that

  122. have a consciousness of God, and somebody's got

  123. to get out and give them a word of the Lord.

  124. And maybe I'll get to a part of speaking to you

  125. about taking it to the streets. Prophets of the

  126. streets. Taking it to where you live. Prophesying

  127. in the atmosphere of where you spend your life.

  128. Well, let's go back to this. Listen to the protocol.

  129. So, prophecy is for the corporate gathering.

  130. And I like 1 Corinthians 14, verse 23 to 24.

    1 Corinthians 14:23–24

  131. 1 Corinthians 14, verse 23 to 24 says, Therefore,

    1 Corinthians 14:23–24

  132. if the whole church comes together. In one place,

  133. that's the corporate gathering. And all speak

  134. with tongues and there come in those who are

  135. uninformed or unbelievers. Will they not say

  136. that you are out of your mind? But if all prophesy.

  137. But if all prophesy. Somebody say that word,

  138. but if all prophesy. And an unbeliever or an

  139. uninformed person comes in. He is convinced by

  140. all and convicted by all. And the Bible goes

  141. on to say that he'll fall on his knees and recognize

  142. that God is in your midst. It's the revelation

  143. of God. Well, we have people walking into churches

  144. in America and all around the world and walking

  145. out the same way they walked in. And I believe

  146. it's because we have extracted some of the elements

  147. of the corporate gathering. We're too busy for

  148. prophecy in the local church. And no, maybe we

  149. don't need to, and I'm not suggesting that we

  150. have four and five hour services. We're in a

  151. fast paced generation, but we need to be able

  152. to bring the prophetic into that atmosphere and

  153. train people to be so cunning and so sharp that

  154. they can get in in a few seconds, in a few minutes,

  155. bring the word of the Lord and get out and get

  156. on with the service. Amen. Not run off with the

  157. service. Have you ever seen somebody run off

  158. with the service, with the prophetic? Well, I

  159. don't. that that's part of the protocol. I believe

  160. it's a get in there, get the word of the Lord,

  161. maybe a prophetic moment, maybe a prayer time

  162. where you have a word or maybe a whisper to somebody's

  163. ear, the word of the Lord coming to somebody

  164. while they're at the altar giving their lives

  165. to God. There are all kinds of places where to

  166. minister the prophetic ministry, but it should

  167. be done in an accountable setting in a corporate

  168. gathering. And it should start with the platform.

  169. Platform ministries, worship ministries, singers

  170. and worshipers should be prophetic people because

  171. you set the prophetic atmosphere. You've got

  172. to engage. You've got to jump in the pool first.

  173. You've got to set the tone of what's going to

  174. happen in the service, and then it should spread

  175. out to the congregation. But if you've got musicians

  176. who are not prophetic and they're just interested

  177. in getting through their list of songs and not

  178. bringing the presence of God down, nothing is

  179. going to happen. But thank God for a church like

  180. yours that is... I love it. I think you're addicted

  181. to the presence of God. That's what I hear in

  182. your worship, in your intercessory prayer. You're

  183. like David. David was a presence addict. He was,

  184. in other words, if I could use the vocabulary

  185. from which I got saved from, a junkie. He was

  186. a presence junkie. I'm hooked. I was hooked on

  187. alcohol until I met Jesus. Now I'm hooked on

  188. the Holy Spirit. I got to have the Holy Ghost.

  189. I got to have his presence. I got to sense him.

  190. I got to, in my life, when I wake up, I need

  191. the presence of God. When I go to bed, I need

  192. the presence of God. I need the presence of God

  193. in my family. I need it in my house. I need it

  194. in my job. I need it in my business. I need it

  195. in church. We need churches so filled with the

  196. presence of God that an unbeliever would walk

  197. in and fall to his knees hearing the word of

  198. the Lord. God, bring back these days. Days of

  199. great boldness and grace when the prophetic word

  200. and the spirit of prophecy is loosed in the church

  201. in an orderly fashion. I'm not talking about

  202. disorder. I'm talking about it being done the

  203. right way. And the Bible has enough protocol

  204. for us to do it and to do it right. Can you say

  205. amen? We'll take our break now and come back

  206. for some more. God bless you. Amen. We'll take

  207. a quick 10 -minute break, and then we'll come

  208. right back. So give yourself a little relief,

  209. grab a drink of water, and we'll be right back.

  210. That first session helped you a little bit. Amen.

  211. Good. Amen. Let's go back to that scripture in

  212. Psalms 19, verse 7, out of the Message Bible.

    Psalms 19:7

  213. Can we get me on, guys? Thank you. Psalm 19,

    Psalms 19:7

  214. verse 7. It's a scripture we've adopted in our

  215. prophetic school again. And it just reads so

  216. incredibly in the Message translation. The revelation

  217. of God is whole and pulls our lives together.

  218. Signposts of God are clear and point out the

  219. right road. The life maps of God are right, showing

  220. the way to joy. And the directions of God are

  221. plain and easy on the eyes. Look at somebody

  222. and say, keep prophecy simple. That's right.

  223. It's got to be easy on the eyes, and people have

  224. got to be able to understand and see the directions

  225. of God clearly. Well, that's what we're trying

  226. to do as we go back to the word in 1 Corinthians

  227. 14. 1 Corinthians 14, I talked to you about prophecy

  228. in the corporate gathering, and prophecy in the

  229. corporate gathering brings an awareness of God's

  230. presence to people. In 1 Corinthians 14, verse

    1 Corinthians 14:25

  231. 25, 1 Corinthians 14, verse 25, if all are prophesying,

    1 Corinthians 14:25

  232. It says, and thus the secrets of the heart are

  233. revealed, and so falling down on his face, he

  234. will worship God and report that God is truly

  235. among you. I believe that God wants to bring

  236. a revelation of his presence to people through

  237. the prophetic, in the local church, in the corporate

  238. gathering. Nobody should walk out of any one

  239. of our services without experiencing God. Can

  240. you say amen? And it's wonderful when the secrets

  241. of their heart are revealed. Not the sins of

  242. their life, but the secrets of their heart. Things

  243. that only they know. That they know that God

  244. would bring a revelation to them. That only God

  245. could know this in the midst of strangers. An

  246. unbeliever walks in and somebody tells him about

  247. the deepest things of his heart. The things that

  248. move him. The things that actually... Give him

  249. a sense of destiny. I am a firm believer, having

  250. pastored a church in Harlem, New York City, where

  251. we raised a church out of people from the streets

  252. in our beginning. Most people wouldn't want to

  253. come to Harlem to do a church plant with us because

  254. it was in the middle of crime, in the middle

  255. of all kinds of community that in those days

  256. was highly overwhelmed with AIDS victims because

  257. of drug use and drug trafficking. We were on

  258. 111th Street. 110th Street moved more money than

  259. Wall Street at times through the trafficking

  260. of drugs. So you could think about how many drugs

  261. and crimes and people being killed at our doorsteps.

  262. It was not an easy place to get people to come

  263. and say, I want to be part of this. Because they

  264. put their families at risk. Their cars were at

  265. risk. No parking. You parked on the streets.

  266. And we didn't have the facilities. You have.

  267. But we preach the word. One thing we did have

  268. was the presence of God, and you have that. Amen?

  269. So you're way ahead of the game. You've got a

  270. great place that God has given you, and now with

  271. the presence of God, everybody who walks in here

  272. is going to experience God. We watch countless

  273. lives being changed, and I became aware that

  274. a prostitute is only a prostitute because she

  275. doesn't know what God has planned for her. She

  276. doesn't know the plan of God for her life, but

  277. if there's somebody that can reveal to her what

  278. God has planned for her life, she'd turn around

  279. and give her life back to God. Amen? I stopped

  280. at a gas station to put some air in a tire. I

  281. had my family. It was after church service, a

  282. glorious time. And I walked out, and here by

  283. the air pump was sitting a man who's bleeding

  284. profusely out of his head. He had just been beaten,

  285. and they had opened his head, opened with some

  286. kind of instrument. And he's sitting there in

  287. his blood. Well, the moment I walk out, the Lord

  288. speaks to me. And as I'm concerned and start

  289. looking for a handkerchief, the word of the Lord's

  290. coming to me. And God's saying, tell him. that

  291. he's sitting in his blood because he's rejected

  292. my blood. Well, that's a pretty hard word for

  293. somebody who's already bleeding. But I walked

  294. up to him. First I put my handkerchief and I

  295. showed him that I really cared because I did.

  296. I was afraid he was going to bleed to death and

  297. really lose his life. He was just gushing out

  298. of him. So I put pressure on his wound in his

  299. head and began to talk to him. He looked at me,

  300. tears in his eyes. It was actually a man who

  301. was weeping because he had been beaten so badly.

  302. And I said, I'm a minister. And the Lord just

  303. said something to me. He said that you're sitting

  304. in your blood because you rejected his blood.

  305. He also told me that you used to be a deacon

  306. in the church and you've backslidden and gone

  307. to the world. And I'm here to tell you, God's

  308. calling you back home. He sent me to tell you

  309. that you don't need to sit. His blood still counts.

  310. His blood is still enough. for you and the rest

  311. of your family. That man now begins to really

  312. cry out to God. He forgot about his wounds, got

  313. on his knees, and began to cry out to God, asking

  314. him for forgiveness, and he was restored back

  315. to the Lord. One word from God. One moment in

  316. God, and you can change a life forever. Well,

  317. prophecy is to make others aware of God's presence.

  318. And thus the secrets of their heart, verse 25,

  319. are revealed. And so falling down on his face,

  320. he will worship God and report that God is truly

  321. among you. God is truly among you. That's the

  322. experience of the impact of the word of the Lord.

  323. Prophecy can equip people to fight a good fight

  324. too. When you prophesy to somebody, the words

  325. you give them, give them courage to take a stand

  326. for their future and their destiny and to fight.

  327. That's why Paul encouraged Timothy in 1 Timothy

    1 Timothy 1:18

  328. 1, verse 18. This charge I commit to you, son

  329. Timothy, according to the prophecies previously

  330. made concerning you. What Paul was saying is,

  331. listen, I'm aware of all the prophecies that

  332. were given to you. You've received words from

  333. the Lord. I know them well. I'm your spiritual

  334. father. And this concerning, according to the

  335. prophecies previously made concerning you, that

  336. by them you may wage. The good warfare. By them

  337. you may wage the good warfare. Prophetic word

  338. empowers people to fight for their destiny. You

  339. can give somebody a word. And if it's a word

  340. from God coming out of your mouth. It will encourage

  341. them to go after their destiny. Come hell or

  342. high water. They are going to fulfill what God

  343. said about them. And believe in the promise of

  344. God. We need that. Fighting edge to be given

  345. to the church, back to the house of God through

  346. the prophetic ministry that will give people

  347. the word of the Lord and affirm them and confirm

  348. the call of God on them, their house, their children.

  349. So that when their children, maybe the professors

  350. in universities start challenging them, we can

  351. go back and encourage them. A parent can say,

  352. remember what God said about you. And remind

  353. them of the word of the Lord to trigger their

  354. minds back to God. Well, I believe that we can

  355. put that fight back. the church when we bring

  356. prophecy back into the house of God. Can you

  357. say amen? Fight in a good fight with the word

  358. that has been given to you. How many of you are

  359. fighting with a word that you've got? A word

  360. that maybe Circumstances have come against you,

  361. have risen against you, but every time you recall

  362. that word, it puts courage back in you. It gets

  363. you out of bed, out of your most depressed state.

  364. When you feel like you can't anymore, the word

  365. of the Lord will refresh you, strengthen you,

  366. get you back on your feet. Can you give the Lord

  367. a big hand for the words that you have received?

  368. The word from God. But also we need to recognize

  369. that prophecy is always in limited revelation.

  370. There is no full revelation that comes with prophecy.

  371. Nobody can tell you everything about your life.

  372. It's limited. 1 Corinthians 13 verse 9, Paul

    1 Corinthians 13:9

  373. establishes, for we know in part and we prophesy

  374. in part. All of us can see a part. And that's

  375. why team ministry is very important in the prophetic.

  376. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, let every

  377. word be established. And also because we are

  378. limited. We have limited revelation. We see only

  379. part. And somebody else sees the other part.

  380. I'm reminded of a team of prophetic people that

  381. were prophesying over somebody. And everybody

  382. had a word. And the last prophet was really digging

  383. in. But he didn't have any real deep words. All

  384. he had, and God kept telling him, say yellow

  385. to her. And he wrestled with that while everybody

  386. else prophesied in the team. Yellow, yellow doesn't

  387. make, what's that? I gotta have something else.

  388. They're gonna think I'm shallow. What kind of

  389. a word is that? And so finally he got up there,

  390. this woman, after she had received all these

  391. prophetic words, and said, you know, I feel silly

  392. saying this, but this is what God wants me to

  393. do, and I'm gonna obey. He said to say to you,

  394. yellow. When he said yellow, she burst out crying

  395. and laughing. got up and started cheering. And

  396. everybody looked at her, the little one's mad.

  397. But what she had actually said to God before

  398. she left the house, Lord, if you're gonna heal

  399. my son, I want you to give me a confirmation

  400. that sounds so absurd that I'll know it's you

  401. and that you're gonna work a miracle. I want

  402. you to tell the prophet to say yellow. That's

  403. it, nothing else. Just say yellow. So he gets

  404. up and says, I don't know if this means anything,

  405. but yellow. It was God's promise. She received

  406. it and her son was healed. Well, some prophetic

  407. words don't make sense to the instrument or the

  408. person who's prophesying, though we try to be

  409. sensible. And it's your responsibility to make

  410. sure to bring a clear word and not some words

  411. so disguised and signs and symbols that people

  412. have to take two months to interpret it. But

  413. prophecy, sometimes you won't understand what

  414. you're prophesying, but you need to be obedient

  415. to speak that word. It happened to us in, I think

  416. it was South Wales. We were ministering, and

  417. my grandson for the first time, both of our grandsons

  418. were with us for the first time, 17 -year -old,

  419. and there was their debut in the prophetic. We

  420. were breaking them into prophetic ministry. So

  421. in presbyteries, our two grandsons, Bob's grandson,

  422. and by the way, I am privileged, I don't think

  423. I said that at the beginning, to be here with

  424. such a man of faith and a father in the house

  425. of God, Bob Isabel. Can you give the Lord a big

  426. hand for Bob? We've been good friends for many

  427. years. So this past summer we went out to Scotland

  428. and we went to South Wales and in South Wales

  429. we were prophesying and each one of the kids

  430. had just a particular anointing about receiving

  431. the word of the Lord. And my grandson is just...

  432. this is new for him, the presbytery setting,

  433. and we had coached him, you say only what God

  434. tells you to say, say no more. And so he got

  435. up and said to this one person, everybody prophesied,

  436. he gets up and he says, the only thing I have

  437. to say to you is that God told me that he's going

  438. to heal you. He wants you to know that he will

  439. heal you. Well, we thought, you know, Bob and

  440. I looked at each other, we're trying to mentor

  441. our kids, you know, we could have dug a little

  442. deeper, you know. But at the end, that gentleman

  443. got up and testified and said, you know, the

  444. words were all great. They all ministered to

  445. me. But what I was asking was if God was going

  446. to heal me. Because the doctor just told me I

  447. have cancer. And I wanted to know whether God

  448. is going to heal me. Well, that's the word of

  449. the Lord. Sometimes you just got to say what

  450. God tells you to say. And don't say anything

  451. else. Amen. Sometimes we try to add to things.

  452. And we need to be very careful that we don't

  453. change the meaning of prophetic revelation or

  454. that which God is bringing. to your heart so

  455. prophecy is limited somebody say limited see

  456. in part and prophesy in part we also prophesy

  457. according to the level of our faith the Bible

  458. says in Romans chapter 12 verse 6 Romans chapter

    Romans 12:6 Romans 12:6

  459. 12 verse 6 says having then gifts deferring according

  460. to the grace that is given to us let us use them

  461. if prophecy let us prophesy in proportion to

  462. our faith So you have a gift of faith. You have

  463. a prophetic ministry. You want to grow it? Grow

  464. your faith. You grow your faith and your prophetic

  465. ministry will grow because you will only prophesy

  466. to the measure of your faith, to the proportion

  467. of your faith. When you've seen miracles and

  468. walked through life and been through some things

  469. and God has caused your faith to grow through

  470. the deposit of the word of God because faith

  471. comes by hearing and hearing of the word of the

  472. Lord, you raise your level of faith and your

  473. prophecy level will be raised. You will prophesy.

  474. That's why you see people who prophesy simple

  475. words right to the point. and get in and speak

  476. about the future and prophesy like if they were

  477. there. Because they have a faith level. They've

  478. seen God work. They can believe God. They've

  479. seen the miraculous operating in prophetic ministry.

  480. So their level of faith is higher. Come on, look

  481. at somebody and say, raise the level of your

  482. faith. That's right. And you can do that as you

  483. spend time in the presence of God and in the

  484. word of God. Prophecy should always be judged.

  485. And this is where people have a problem with

  486. it because if it's the word of the Lord, why

  487. should they judge me if I am hearing from God?

  488. Well, prophecy has to go through your ear or

  489. channel. That word is going to come through you,

  490. flow through you, and you will speak what you

  491. are. Not only the level of your faith, but your

  492. character and who you are will come through in

  493. that prophetic word. Your belief system will

  494. come through. that prophetic word. That's why

  495. everyone who seeks to prophesy must be grounded

  496. in truth so that what you speak is biblical and

  497. has a biblical foundation. So you're not prophesying

  498. some space cadet prophecy. People are in space

  499. and doing all the crazy things that are totally

  500. untied to what God is building. He said, I'm

  501. going to build my church and the gates of hell

  502. will not prevail against it. So everybody who

  503. prophesies should be talking about building the

  504. church. It's what God builds up. Amen? So prophesy

  505. needs to be judged and that's why in 1 Corinthians

  506. 14 again, let two or three, verse 29, let two

  507. or three prophets speak and let the others judge.

  508. And prophecy should also be done in an orderly

  509. fashion. 1 Corinthians 14, verse 32 -33, but

    1 Corinthians 14:32–33

  510. if anything is revealed to another who sits by,

  511. let the first keep silent. Now this is something

  512. that I'm still trying to get back into the church.

  513. Because we don't practice this protocol. But

  514. if anything is revealed to another who sits by,

  515. let the first keep silent. For you can all prophesy

  516. one by one, that all may learn and all may be

  517. encouraged. And the spirit of the prophets are

  518. subject to the prophets. For God is not the author

  519. of confusion, but of peace. as in all the churches

  520. of the saints. He's not the author of confusion.

  521. The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet.

  522. That means we have dominion. We have control

  523. over the prophetic. You can't just get up and

  524. prophesy and say, I don't know, the Holy Spirit

  525. just made me do that. Don't blame the Holy Ghost,

  526. amen? You stepped out of line. You actually violated

  527. the protocol. But this protocol of courtesy,

  528. that if one is prophesying, and this says a few

  529. things to me. If one is prophesying and another

  530. one who sits by stands up, that means when you're

  531. prophesying, you can't have your eyes closed.

  532. Hello? Because how are you going to know he stood

  533. up if you can't see him because you're in La

  534. La Land somewhere? prophesying and you're deep

  535. lost in God, you might very well be connected

  536. to the presence of God. I'm not trying to make

  537. fun of that. But you need to be aware of your

  538. surroundings because we are not a one band band.

  539. prophetic ministry here. We are part of a team.

  540. It's the church. If one or two or three can prophesy

  541. at a time, you know, in order, but if one is

  542. prophesying, let the first one keep signing.

  543. Usually, we actually are so courteous that we

  544. let them finish, and that person can go on and

  545. on, and then sometimes that second person doesn't

  546. even get to say what God gave them because we

  547. ran out of time. I think the protocol should

  548. be followed because they had the same problems

  549. we had. It was a constraint of time. prophesying

  550. and somebody else gets up prefer them bring it

  551. to a halt you see somebody get up you know he's

  552. got a word from God you know that you're limited

  553. you only see him part let the other person bring

  554. the part And we can all flow together, prefer

  555. each other in love, and build the house of God.

  556. Are you with me? Does that make sense? I see

  557. it clearly in the word. And I think we need to

  558. do that so we don't create confusion in the body

  559. of Christ. And everybody can flow with the prophetic

  560. ministry. Not all services are going to turn

  561. into one big prophetic services. But there should

  562. be order, two or three at the most, and let their

  563. others judge. There should be prophetic utterance

  564. that comes from the platform all the way through

  565. the church. And it should be in an orderly fashion,

  566. never creating confusion. Well, how does prophecy

  567. come? How do we get it? How do we get into this

  568. flow of hearing God? Well, let me take you to

  569. a scripture that has helped me a great deal.

  570. It's found in the book of Isaiah. Isaiah chapter

    Isaiah 50 chapter mention

  571. 50, verse... 4 through 6. Isaiah chapter 15,

    Isaiah 15:4–6

  572. verse 4 through 6. Isaiah 15 says, The Lord God

  573. has given me the tongue of a learned that I should

  574. know how to speak. Somebody say the tongue of

  575. a learned. That's somebody who knows how to speak.

  576. You're learning how to talk for God. The tongue

  577. of a learned that I should know how to speak.

  578. A word in season to him who is weary. A rhema

  579. word. A word that's on time. A word in season.

  580. Somebody say in season. A word in season to him

  581. who is weary, he awakens me morning by morning.

  582. He awakens my ear to hear as the learned. The

  583. Lord God has opened my ear and I was not rebellious,

  584. nor did I turn away. I gave my back to those

  585. who struck me and my cheeks to those who plucked

  586. out my beard. And I did not hide my face from

  587. shame and spitting. Who do you think is speaking?

  588. It's the Lord. And he's talking about the training

  589. of prophetic people. He did not turn back from

  590. what was ahead of him. The persecution, the rejection

  591. did not stop him from giving a word in season

  592. to somebody. He kept his anointing, and our anointing

  593. is not so fragile that it can be persecuted out

  594. of us. Our anointing resides. Amen? There's a

  595. Holy Ghost anointing on the church, and where

  596. the tribulation comes, you still have got to

  597. be the voice of God in your generation. But I

  598. like what it says. The Lord God has given me

  599. the tongue of a learned that I should know how

  600. to speak a word in season to him who is weary.

  601. And then the next part is telling you how it

  602. happens. He awakens me morning by morning. Somebody

  603. say morning by morning. He awakens my ear to

  604. hear as the learned. Before you have the tongue

  605. of a learned, you must develop the ear of a learned.

  606. You've got to be able to develop the ability

  607. to hear what God is saying and capture the word

  608. of the Lord. You've got to develop a relationship

  609. that just doesn't come through a little conference

  610. or a little mini conference on a Saturday morning.

  611. It comes from an impartation of the Holy Ghost,

  612. and it comes from a relationship that's built

  613. morning to morning. Every day of your life, you're

  614. spending time in the presence of God, and God

  615. has your attention, and he is causing, he is

  616. opening up your ear morning by morning. morning,

  617. he awakens me. He awakens my ear as the learned.

  618. God is training us and he wants to train your

  619. ear to hear. Matter of fact, it'll involve hearing

  620. and it'll involve seeing because you've got to

  621. be able to visualize what you hear. You know,

  622. when God put a word in Jeremiah's mouth, he spoke

  623. to him. He says, Jeremiah, what do you see? That

  624. was God was concerned after he had talked to

  625. him, what is it that you're seeing? You've received

  626. my word. Now, what do you see? And Jeremiah answered

  627. at the beginning, says, I see the branch of an

  628. almond tree. And the Lord says, you've seen well.

  629. And he was teaching him how to cause that word

  630. that he hears to be visualized. Your word has

  631. now something you hear, and you've got to allow

  632. for the Holy Spirit to open up your eyes to see.

  633. Paul prayed, I pray. that the eyes of your understanding.

  634. Ephesians chapter 1, verse 17 and on. Praying

    Ephesians 1:17

  635. for the church of Ephesus, Paul says, I pray

  636. the eyes of your understanding would be enlightened.

  637. But before that, he says, I pray that God gives

  638. you the spirit of revelation and of wisdom so

  639. that the eyes of your understanding would be

  640. enlightened, that you might know what is the

  641. hope of your calling, the riches of your inheritance

  642. in the saints. And the exceeding greatness of

  643. his power that is at work in those who believe.

  644. Three things. You need to know the hope of your

  645. calling. You need to know your inheritance in

  646. God. And you need to know the exceeding greatness

  647. of his power that works on behalf of those who

  648. believe. Can you say amen? But it comes through

  649. the spirit of wisdom and revelation. And this

  650. is what this... Actually, it says he comes, the

  651. spirit of wisdom not only opens your eyes so

  652. that you can see it illuminates, the eyes of

  653. your understanding being illuminated, the eyes

  654. so that you might be able to know. Well, the

  655. Lord wants to open up your ears, and he wants

  656. you to see what he's saying, wants you to visualize

  657. it. So the word of God can come as a vision.

  658. Many of you will have visions and dreams because

  659. that's part of the package of the Holy Spirit.

  660. Amen? They'll have visions and the old men shall

  661. dream dreams. Visions and dreams are still the

  662. language of the Holy Spirit and they shall prophesy.

  663. What are they going to prophesy about? What they

  664. see and what they dream about. The prophetic

  665. word brings us revelation. The Holy Spirit speaks

  666. to us and expects you to have an ear that is

  667. open. The problem is that we have ears that don't

  668. hear. They're not open. They're closed to the

  669. Lord. People are not spending the time they used

  670. to spend in prayer. And I think we need to go

  671. back to that intimacy with God where we spend

  672. time from him. And that's what Isaiah is saying.

  673. Listen, morning by morning, this takes a relationship.

  674. It'll start here, but you're going to have to

  675. foster it by spending time in the presence of

  676. God, making time. I don't care how busy you are.

  677. You want prophetic ministry? You've got to spend

  678. time in the presence of God. It's the only way

  679. that I know how to prepare myself is spending

  680. time. God, waiting on the Lord, saying, God,

  681. what is it that you want? What is it that you

  682. want to speak to the church? What am I going

  683. to do when I get to Brad's church? It's been

  684. my prayer with my wife. Even my children have

  685. joined us interceding for you while I was preparing

  686. to come out here. Because God has a word for

  687. this house. God has something he wants to do.

  688. Well, it's the same way in personal prophecy

  689. or prophecy to build a church. Every Sunday you

  690. come, it's not where you start praying on Sunday

  691. morning. Oh, God, what are you going to do with

  692. the church? Start praying in your house. Make

  693. it a lifestyle of spending time with the Lord

  694. morning after morning. Come on, can you say amen?

  695. You're going to spend time with the Lord. He's

  696. going to open your ears. That word open, I think

  697. Ernest Gentile did a great thing with his book

  698. when he talked about these verses. He talked

  699. about the plowing of your ears, plowing your

  700. ears open. I believe the Holy Spirit will plow

  701. your ears open. so that he can sow the word of

  702. the Lord, so the word of the Lord can come to

  703. you. And so that you might have the tongue of

  704. a learned, you need first the hearing of a learned.

  705. You need to be able to hear well, clearly, identify

  706. the word of the Lord, so then you can speak a

  707. word in season to those that hear you. Can you

  708. say amen? So prophetic ministry comes by hearing.

  709. And when you say what you hear, you will see

  710. what you say. God will cause those things to

  711. take place. Isaiah 59. Isaiah 59. Again, listen

  712. to Isaiah 59. This is Isaiah speaking about a

  713. great heritage that God asked for me, says the

  714. Lord. This is my covenant with them. My spirit

  715. who is upon you and my words which I have put

  716. in your mouth. shall not depart from your mouth,

  717. nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from

  718. the mouth of your descendants' descendants, says

  719. the Lord, from this time and forevermore. Come

  720. on. Are you ready for this morning to affect

  721. generations to come? It's not just about you

  722. this morning taking time and sacrificing your

  723. Saturday morning to learn about the prophetic.

  724. The more you learn about the prophetic, the more

  725. the heritage will be laid up for your children.

  726. I thank God that I could travel with my 17 -year

  727. -old for the first time, bringing him into presbytery.

  728. Bob took Luca, his grandson, to presbytery. But

  729. all my kids, from the moment they've been born

  730. in our house, in our church, we were a prophetic

  731. church. So when we dedicated babies, we called

  732. the prophets. We believe in prophetic, let's

  733. call the prophets. and see what they have to

  734. say about our children. Let's not wait for them

  735. to be 19, 20 years old. Send them over to university

  736. so that the professor who first was an amoeba

  737. and now is a monkey on a tree, now he's a professor

  738. in a university, can try to tell them what their

  739. destiny is. Are you with me? We've got a bunch

  740. of unbelieving educators who are trying to dictate

  741. the destiny of our children. Why not bring it

  742. back to the founder, the Lord, who weaved them

  743. in their mother's womb when they're born and

  744. dedicated. Let the prophets speak the word of

  745. the Lord. Let them say, let's let faith arise

  746. in the house of God. Well, even Mary received

  747. the word. Remember when Simeon spoke to her,

  748. a sword is going to pierce your heart. This child

  749. has been born to reveal the secrets of men's

  750. hearts. What was that all about? Not the sin,

  751. but the destinies of people. Jesus died so that

  752. people could receive the purpose by which they

  753. were created for. Powerful. Well, I believe that

  754. we need to let our children hear the word of

  755. the Lord. I have eight grandkids, every one of

  756. them knowing what God wants from them. in the

  757. future. My grandson just entered law school because

  758. the word of the Lord has come that he is going

  759. to be a governmental figure and influence the

  760. government. He's believing God that maybe 15,

  761. 20 years from now, he'll be the governor of Florida.

  762. Hello. Well, I'm thrilled about that. Let's go

  763. for it. Well, I have a little granddaughter who's

  764. nine years old now, but she's always grown up

  765. with the fact that the prophets, when they dedicate

  766. her, and she's heard the prophecy over and over

  767. again. throughout her life, that she'll be a

  768. judge. So she's going to study the Lord and become

  769. a judge, an actual judge on a bench and be a

  770. judge in the land. That's what she feels that

  771. she is called to do. So her mother spanked her

  772. when she was about six years old. She said, Mom,

  773. that really hurt. And she said, It's supposed

  774. to hurt. She looked at her mom and said to her,

  775. But don't forget, someday I'll be judge. Don't

  776. use it. But they have. They have a sense of destiny

  777. that puts a fight in them to believe God for

  778. impossible things until they fulfill what God

  779. said about them. And they live with that kind

  780. of purpose. So I believe that this is not just

  781. for us. This is for our children's children.

  782. This is for as long as the Lord would tarry,

  783. our kids are going to be prophetic. When Jesus

  784. comes back again, he's not coming for a scared

  785. church. hiding in some corner. He's coming for

  786. a prophetic church full of authority, full of

  787. wisdom, speaking the word of the Lord to a dying

  788. world. Can you say amen? So I believe in that

  789. kind of victorious church, and it starts with

  790. people like you who say, I'm going to spend Saturday

  791. morning. I want training. I want everything God

  792. has. I want to be a voice of God in my generation.

  793. You're going to bring that influence, that anointing

  794. into your family. The word of the Lord that's

  795. in your mouth shall be upon the mouth of your

  796. children. Amen? He's a covenant -keeping God.

  797. He said, I'll keep covenant for a thousand generations

  798. with those who love me. Think about it. I believe

  799. that the word of the Lord wants to come, and

  800. God wants to put a word in the generations to

  801. come. Listen, go with me to Jeremiah 23. Here's

  802. another scripture, Jeremiah 23. Verse 18 and

  803. verse 22. We'll use those two verses to save

  804. time. Jeremiah says, for who has stood in the

  805. council? And the word council there is the word

  806. sod. In the Hebrew, the word, it's secret. Who

  807. has stood in the council of the Lord and has

  808. perceived? And who has perceived? And that is

  809. not what you see, but how you see it. Perception.

  810. It's how you see things. It's not just what you

  811. see, but how you're seeing it. You're defining

  812. something by what you see. For who has stood

  813. in the counsel of the Lord and has perceived

  814. and heard his word? Who has marked his word and

  815. heard it? That word marked means hearkened to

  816. it, paid attention to it. People come into the

  817. house of the Lord and we can all sense a prophetic

  818. moment. God's ready to speak. God's ready to

  819. move. But very few people can mark that prophetic

  820. word. Very few people can grab a hold of it and

  821. say, that's what God is saying. That's the theme

  822. of this service. That's what God is going to

  823. say. They have hearkened, they have paid attention

  824. to the Holy Spirit and what he's doing and have

  825. heard his word. Well, I believe that God wants

  826. to do that. Listen to verse 22. Speaks about

  827. the purpose of the prophetic. Verse 22. in my

  828. counsel, in my secret, and had caused my people

  829. to hear, and had caused my people to hear my

  830. words, then they would have turned them from

  831. their evil way and from the evil of their doing.

  832. Turned them from the evil way and from the evil

  833. of their doing. Two different things there. The

  834. evil way and the evil of their doing. People

  835. get touched by an evil way, but then they have

  836. to Follow it through with evil doing. Well, if

  837. they could be intercepted by somebody who has

  838. stood in the secret of God and given them the

  839. word of the Lord, turned their hearts back to

  840. God. That's what prophets did from the beginning,

  841. was turn the hearts of the people back to God.

  842. Not to them, not to anybody else, but to God.

  843. He's the God who forgives, the God who restores,

  844. the God who lifts up, the God who can cause people

  845. to walk away from their evil ways and from practicing

  846. evil. Are you with me? But you've got to be able

  847. to stand. Who has stood in the council? The secret

  848. of the Lord. Well, Daniel knew the God who reveals

  849. secrets. Remember when Nebuchadnezzar had a dream?

  850. None of his wise men could find out or divine

  851. what the dream was all about. And he purposely

  852. didn't give anybody a dream. And he was about

  853. to kill them all. And Daniel said, give me a

  854. chance. I'm going to go to prayer. And he went

  855. and prayed with his Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

  856. at a vigil that night. And the Holy Spirit came

  857. and revealed the secret of the heart. And Daniel

  858. knows and proclaims the God who reveals secrets.

  859. And I believe we need to see the church rise

  860. up. As a church that knows a God who reveals

  861. secret things. There's nothing hidden from the

  862. eyes of God. We can reveal the real motivation

  863. behind the actions of man. We can reveal the

  864. offense that is covered up with all kind of circumstance

  865. and all kinds of attitudes. But if we could just

  866. go to the root of the problem, we're able possibly

  867. to pluck that problem out of their hearts. caused

  868. healing to come to them and turned them from

  869. their evil way. How many would love to turn people

  870. away from sin and turn them back to God? Well,

  871. I believe the prophetic ministry is key in that

  872. so that we can be able to speak the secrets of

  873. the heart of God. Who has stood in my counsel?

  874. Who has stood in my sword, my secrets? I believe

  875. God wants to raise a generation of people in

  876. the church today, a church that would be able

  877. to know the God who reveals secrets, a church.

  878. that is able to prophesy. Now let me give you

  879. a two -sided of prophecies. Prophecy is both

  880. foretelling, to know the future before it happens.

  881. So there's a revelation of the future before

  882. it happens. It's that ability to foretell the

  883. future. It's foretelling and it's forth telling.

  884. F -O -R -T -H, forth telling. And forth telling

  885. is not just to tell the future, it's to cause

  886. the future. Are you with me? Because the prophetic,

  887. sometimes we've shied away from the truth of

  888. the word of God, and we now are trying to minimize,

  889. because of our lack of faith, the prophetic ministry.

  890. So, okay, we'll accept that it can foretell the

  891. future. But what about the other part? Prophecy

  892. is about foretelling. There's something that

  893. happens when the word of the Lord comes that

  894. changes things. And that you are a church that

  895. right now is living. The theme of this week is

  896. change. And I'll tell you, prophecy precedes

  897. change. There is a prophetic word that's ready

  898. you for great change. You're not just coming

  899. to enjoy a beautiful building. The greatest days

  900. of this church are ahead of you. There's great

  901. change coming to this house. And some people

  902. not understanding change will become the victims

  903. of change. I'll speak to you more about that

  904. on Sunday. But you are called as prophetic people

  905. to be able to understand and to actually maneuver

  906. through change and be able to navigate through

  907. the changes that God brings. Change is meant

  908. to make you better. Change is meant to increase

  909. you. Change is never meant by God to destroy

  910. you or hurt you or take something from you. It's

  911. called to add something to you. Are you ready

  912. for what God wants to do? There's a whole new

  913. dimension you're moving into. There's a whole

  914. new day in God for this church, for your children.

  915. Don't you miss out on what God's doing. Fourth

  916. telling is to cause the future to happen. It's

  917. to cause things to take place. It's Ezekiel in

  918. the Valley of Dry Bones. How many remember Ezekiel?

  919. Ezekiel prophesied and caused things to happen.

  920. It's Deborah prophesying to Barak, go out to

  921. where the River of Gishon is, and I'm going to

  922. send Cesar there. It was an ambush by God. Well,

  923. she prophesied something. Then in chapter 5 of

  924. Judges, it says that all heaven went to war with

  925. her. All of heaven backed her up, and a great

  926. flood. The river of Gishon actually flooded,

  927. and all the 900 chariots of Caesarea, which was

  928. their greatest threat, became useless in the

  929. mud. They could not move, and God gave the victory

  930. to Barak. But it didn't happen until a mother

  931. rose in Israel, until a prophetic mother dared

  932. to prophesy. It's time. I can see the time. God's

  933. going to send an ambush. Barak, go. Well, Barak

  934. didn't even see it. Well, if you, I'm not going

  935. alone. If you come, I'll, you know, I'll go.

  936. Well, there are people that are going to see

  937. things before it happens, and they're not only

  938. going to prophesy the future, they're going to

  939. cause it to happen. The word of the Lord will

  940. go out of your mouth and things will begin to

  941. take place all around you. Ezekiel prophesied.

  942. And let me read it to you from Ezekiel. Ezekiel

  943. 37. I'll go there. I'll jump through. Ezekiel

  944. 37. Ezekiel 37, verse 4 through 10. And again

    Ezekiel 37:4–10

  945. he said to me, Ezekiel 37, verse 4 through 10.

    Ezekiel 37:4–10

  946. And again he said to me, prophesy to these bones

  947. and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of

  948. the Lord. Thus says the Lord to these bones,

  949. surely I will cause breath to enter into it to

  950. you. You shall live and I will put sinews on

  951. you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with

  952. skin and put breath in you and you shall live.

  953. Then you shall know that I am the Lord. So I

  954. prophesied as I was commended. Commanded as I

  955. was commanded. And as I prophesied. Somebody

  956. say, as I prophesied. As I prophesied, there

  957. was a noise, a suddenly rattling, and bones came

  958. together bone to bone. And indeed, as I looked,

  959. the sinews and the flesh came upon them. And

  960. the same thing with the breath. After the bodies

  961. were put together, the Lord said, prophesy breath.

  962. Well. He prophesied breath and all the winds

  963. from the four winds came. Because prophesying

  964. or prophecy does not only foretell the future,

  965. it causes the future to happen. The moment you

  966. step out and you speak a word. Listen, you saw

  967. me in the video. I want to use it as an example

  968. to you today. I walked up to a 15 -year -old

  969. girl. Very precious. And as a father and grandfather,

  970. I'm very careful that I won't cause a wrong impression

  971. or build a wrong kind of thing into somebody.

  972. So I walk very carefully. Even though I've been

  973. prophesying for 43 years, I still walk very carefully.

  974. And I think Bob and I both are like that. We're

  975. cautious. We don't want to hurt people. We want

  976. to make sure we're building people. So to my

  977. thing, I'm going to prophesy her healing. Lord,

  978. you're going to do it. I really. I knew God was

  979. there. There was the presence of God. I had the

  980. word of the Lord. But the rest, the work was

  981. of God. It wasn't my job to heal her. But the

  982. moment I saw her little feet moving, I knew it

  983. wasn't just going to happen in a little day.

  984. I knew it was going to be right then and there.

  985. She had no sense in her feet. All of a sudden,

  986. the first thing I saw when I was praying, looking

  987. down, was her feet began to move. And I knew,

  988. it's time. Now a boldness came on me, and I began

  989. to move in that which I saw. Something was happening

  990. as I was. speaking the word of the Lord. There

  991. was an anointing being released upon that young

  992. lady's life and she jumped her feet and you saw

  993. her. She began to jump. At the end of that service,

  994. she ended that service dancing in front of the

  995. whole church. We danced for about an hour and

  996. a half just celebrating her healing. When you

  997. saw her run, she ran. I had to let go of her

  998. lest I would have ended up in a wheelchair. She

  999. ran so fast, she ran out of the service. After

1000. she hugged her father, she ran out of the service

1001. into the children's church that was taking place

1002. in another building. When all the kids saw her,

1003. they all fell to the ground, got filled with

1004. the Holy Ghost, began to prophesy because there

1005. was an anointing on her life when they saw the

1006. miracle of God in her life. Things change and

1007. something is about to happen. I believe that

1008. as you get caught up in the prophetic, you need

1009. to believe God's not just called you to foretell

1010. the future, but to foretell, to cause things

1011. to happen. Come on, look at somebody and say,

1012. come on, get your faith up and believe God can

1013. do it. I was trained in this prophetic realm

1014. from the very inception of my walk in Christ.

1015. Months into my prophetic ministry, and that's

1016. months into being saved, I prophesied things

1017. that I saw with my very own eyes. And I would

1018. hear the Holy Spirit train me and say, open up

1019. your eyes. I want you to see what you're going

1020. to speak. And I would speak these declarations

1021. and see them come to place right before my eyes.

1022. So 43 years of that, my faith is at a whole different

1023. level. Because I just obeyed God. And that doesn't

1024. mean that I haven't had my share of failures.

1025. I remember the first kid I pulled out of a wheelchair

1026. as a young man preaching the gospel in a community.

1027. Whole community came out to hear it. People were

1028. getting saved. And I pulled this kid out of a

1029. wheelchair. Dragged him half a block. The whole

1030. community was right behind me. Never got healed.

1031. Had to put him back in his chair. The only thing

1032. I can think of telling the parents is thank you

1033. for letting me practice on your son. But I was

1034. new at ministry. And when I asked God, God, you

1035. didn't heal him. He said, did I tell you to pull

1036. him out of the chair? Did I tell you to do that?

1037. I said, no, I just assumed. So I've learned how

1038. to not assume. And there is a thin line between

1039. assumption and a prophetic word from God. And

1040. you need to be able to discern that so that you

1041. can step into sure ground and not blame God for

1042. some of your own mishaps. Are you with me? All

1043. right. Is it okay if I share my heart like that?

1044. Because all of us need to learn from one another.

1045. But we need to be bold to be able to declare

1046. the future. I believe God wants to reveal the

1047. future. I believe the future of this house is

1048. great. I don't believe God brought you here to

1049. give you a building so you could sing Kumbaya

1050. and hang out for the rest of your days. I think

1051. this church is at the verge of the greatest miracles

1052. yet to be performed. I believe that there's going

1053. to be an outpouring and a growth that's going

1054. to come to this house. I believe that there is

1055. going to be such a dimension that your children,

1056. what is extraordinary to you, will become ordinary.

1057. to them. They'll learn how to live in the extraordinary

1058. because they've seen the miraculous. This is

1059. what we did. Our church believed and we saw this

1060. happen. We had nothing when we started but now

1061. God has given us they're living in the extraordinary

1062. of God and for them it's going to become hey

1063. this is the way we've always lived. So I believe

1064. that you're at the brink of something great.

1065. A great change is coming to this house. This

1066. is your time to believe God for the future. And

1067. I believe that God wants to show you the future.

1068. He wants you to get a good look at what he wants

1069. to do. He wants you there to prophesy the future

1070. into existence. It's called, in the Hebrew, it's

1071. the word dabar in the Hebrew. And the word dabar

1072. in the Hebrew means it comes with everything

1073. it needs to fulfill itself. All you got to do

1074. is speak it. So Jeremiah 1 verse 9 says, The

    Jeremiah 1:9

1075. Lord said to Jeremiah, And the Lord said unto

1076. me, Behold, I have put my words, my debar, in

1077. thy mouth. God will put a debar in your mouth.

1078. It has the power to push people into their destiny.

1079. A debar. It comes with a Holy Ghost strength

1080. to push people into their destiny. Isaiah. 55,

    Isaiah 55:11

1081. verse 11. Listen to the same word as used. Isaiah

1082. 55, 11. So shall my word, my debar, be that goes

1083. out from my mouth. It shall not return to me

1084. void, but it shall accomplish what I please.

1085. And it shall prosper in the thing for which I

1086. sent it. And if you need to learn anything, it's

1087. that every word... That God gives you every,

1088. the bar word comes attached to a thing. There's

  1089. a purpose. There's a thing that God's out to

1090. perform and do. It might not do all the other

1091. things you want it to do, but the thing that

1092. God wants it to do is going to happen. It's going

1093. to take place. It will not return that void to

1094. God. It comes out with power. It comes out to

1095. do something. And maybe that's why Amos in chapter

1096. 3, verse 8, Amos says, About God. Says God does

1097. nothing unless he reveals his secrets to the

1098. prophets. And he goes on to say, if a lion roars,

1099. who shall not fear? If the Lord speaks, who shall

1100. not prophesy? Come on. Somebody say who. Look

1101. at your neighbor and say, who shall not prophesy?

1102. If the Lord speaks, if you can hear the voice

1103. of God, he can train you to speak the word of

1104. the Lord, prophesy with great boldness. If a

1105. lion roars, who shall not fear? There's something

1106. about the roar of the Lion of Judah that's being

1107. heard in a spiritual realm. And listen, I'm not

1108. talking about you getting out and services starting

1109. to roar. I'm talking about prophesying. I'm talking

1110. about coming with such boldness because you know

1111. that you know that you're heard from God and

1112. you dare to speak that part, that revelation,

1113. that illumination that God gave you. And as you

1114. speak it, the whole place gets filled with that

1115. presence of God. I can tell you story after story.

1116. Probably one of my greatest times of learning

1117. how to speak the debar word of the Lord was as

1118. a young boy, 17 years old, in a campfire where

1119. we sought to have a prayer vigil in a mountain

1120. with all the disciples that we had in Christ.

1121. We created this fire. The daughter of a marksman

1122. from the Olympics, he owned a big property, big

1123. farm. So he, in a little mountain hill, about

1124. something like 500, meters from his house. We

1125. were there praying all night. He was a man who

1126. gave himself to drinking in this season of his

1127. life. He drove up to the house and came in early

1128. and locked in. We were praying until 2 or 3 in

1129. the morning. Somewhere around 2 in the morning,

1130. I heard the Lord speak to me. As we began to

1131. intercede, I could hear the intercession of his

1132. daughter. And I could understand what she was

1133. praying. She was praying in the spirit. And the

1134. Lord let me understand. She was at one side of

1135. the fire bomb, the fire that we had built. I'm

1136. on this side. And I could hear the Holy Spirit

1137. say, this is what she's praying. She's praying

1138. for her dad right now. Tell her I'm going to

1139. answer tonight. Tell her that tonight I'm sending

1140. my angels to the house and he's going to give

1141. his life to the Lord. Well, I looked at her across

1142. the fire, started prophesying to her. And as

1143. I prophesied, then the Lord said, okay, now I

1144. want you to turn around and point to the house,

1145. open your eyes, because I want you to see the

1146. word of the Lord come to pass. So I prophesied

1147. to the house what I had prophesied to her. The

1148. lights went on, the doors flinged open, and a

1149. man came out screaming. Ran up this hill. I didn't

1150. know if he was going to beat me or not. My flesh

1151. was saying, he's going to come beat you. He heard

1152. you, he's going to come beat you. He was a big

1153. man. I'm standing there prophesying, and as he

1154. got close to the fire, I could see the tears

1155. gushing out of his eyes. He fell on his knees

1156. in front of me and gave his life to Christ and

1157. has served the Lord for over 30 years in the

1158. kingdom. Amazing. God, his whole family has been

1159. saved and radically transformed by the power

1160. of God. It's the Dabar word of the Lord. it will

1161. not return back empty. And some of you will be

1162. called to prophesy some things, not just foretell

1163. the future. There'll be times when you'll just

1164. foretell it. But there are other times when you

1165. will speak and things will begin to happen. Are

1166. you with me? The word of the Lord is powerful.

1167. Let me close with a little illustration of David.

1168. David was probably the greatest. prophetic person

1169. in the New Testament being mentored by Samuel

1170. himself who started the school of the prophets.

1171. It was Samuel who went to his house when nobody

1172. recognized him, not even his father Jesse, enough

1173. to invite him to the greatest moment in his own

1174. house. Samuel visits the house, asks for another

1175. son. He says, yeah, there's another one. He's

1176. out with the sheep. They bring him out. He anoints

1177. him with a full horn of oil, prophesies over

1178. him his destiny. Mark's life and an impartation

1179. was left on David. The Bible says that from that

1180. day on, the presence of the Lord was with David.

1181. And you can read all about it. Samuel is his

1182. mentor. When Saul is persecuting him, he runs

1183. to Samuel to tell him everything that Samuel

1184. did. 1 Samuel chapter 19 tells a story. Samuel

    1 Samuel 19 chapter mention

1185. takes him to the school of the prophets. Come

1186. on, I'm gonna get you refreshed. He was a fugitive

1187. running from Saul who was throwing spears at

1188. him. Samuel says, let's go to service. Let's

1189. go to that prophetic atmosphere. And he takes

1190. him to a prophetic service where they're prophesying.

1191. They hear about it in Saul's house and he sends

1192. messengers to go arrest David. You know the story.

1193. They come and the moment they arrive close to

1194. where the meeting is at, they all fall down.

1195. The presence of God is so strong that they start

1196. prophesying. Saul himself goes later after two

1197. messengers and he starts prophesying as well.

1198. The presence of God is so strong. I can tell

1199. you about stories in Harlem where we were prophesying

1200. in the service. One man, I was preaching one

1201. day and this prophetic thought came to me in

1202. the middle of my preaching, my sermon, and the

1203. Lord said, I want you to illustrate it because

1204. I'm going to do it. So I said, okay, God, what

1205. is it? So he said, I want you to illustrate a

1206. man running into the building through the doors.

1207. And so in the middle of my message, I have to

1208. stop, call one of my crazy young disciples and

1209. tell them, this is what I want you to do. In

1210. the midst of my message, I want you to break

1211. through the doors because we're going to do a

1212. prophetic act. And you're going to act like a

1213. man who's ready to commit suicide, ready to jump

1214. off a building, and you're going to run in here

1215. asking to be, prayed for and give your life to

1216. Christ. Well, nobody heard it. He went to the

1217. back. I kept preaching. And then when I cued

1218. him, the doors flung open. He ran through the

1219. aisle screaming. He did it so well, everybody

1220. started crying. They knew who he was, but it

1221. impacted everybody. And as I'm preaching about

1222. it, now I start prophesying about how God's going

1223. to do this thing, and he falls down and gives

1224. his life to the Lord. Of course, he's saved,

1225. but he's acting this part out. The moment he

1226. does that, now everybody claps. Yeah, we're believing

  1227. God. We're a prophetic church. We're going to

1228. change people's lives. We all sit down. Service

1229. goes on. I'm finishing the last few points of

1230. my message. The doors fling open. And a man runs

1231. down just like he had just acted. Almost the

1232. exact word for word. Screaming. Yelling. He says,

1233. I was in the building in front of your church

1234. building. I was on the seventh floor ready to

1235. jump. And I heard God say, go to those doors.

1236. Walk through those doors. And I will use you.

1237. Turn your life around. Run. And he ran down the

1238. building. Ran through my doors. And got saved.

1239. It was a prophetic act. That was a Debar word

1240. of the Lord being fulfilled. Come on, can you

1241. believe God for that? When you get a hold of

1242. this, you'll prophesy people out of darkness

1243. into light. You'll change the course of people's

  1244. lives. You'll transform them forever. You'll

1245. ruin the plans of the enemy for people's lives.

1246. You'll kick down tombstones in the name of the

1247. Lord as you speak life into those that the enemy

1248. has spoken death to. This is not for cowards.

1249. This is for those that would dare to believe

1250. God. And it's not by our merits, it's by the

1251. grace of God. It's by the love of God that compels

1252. you to step out and share the heart of God. Well,

1253. David foretold the future. He did. Listen, Psalm

1254. 22, how many remember Psalm 22 is all about Calvary.

1255. In Psalm 22, David, who's been mentored by Samuel,

1256. in the midst of worship, in the midst of the

1257. presence of God, He actually brings the prophetic

1258. ministry into play in the midst of worship. This

1259. is one of the Psalms, and your Psalms are filled

1260. with Messianic prophecies. Listen to it. Psalm

    Psalms 22:16–18

  1261. 22, verse 16 through 18. I'm just extracting

1262. one little part of it. For dogs have surrounded

1263. me, and the congregation of the wicked has enclosed

1264. me. They pierce my hands and my feet. I can count

1265. all my bones. And they look and stare at me.

1266. They divide my garments among them, and for my

1267. clothing they cast lots. That was a prophecy

1268. about Calvary. It's like having a videotape of

1269. Calvary hundreds of years before it ever happened.

1270. Because prophecy is about the past, the present,

1271. and the future. And the book of Revelation, God

1272. says to John, write the things that were, the

1273. things that are, and the things to come. Past,

1274. present, and future. There's only time under

1275. heaven. In heaven, there is no time. The past,

1276. the present, and the future come all together.

1277. And here's David prophesying about the future.

1278. They pierced my hands and my feet. They divided

1279. my garments among them. And for my clothing,

1280. they cast lots. He prophesied Calvary hundreds

1281. of years before it happened. Not only prophesied

1282. Calvary, he prophesied the ascension of Christ

1283. after the resurrection. Psalm 24, let me read

1284. it to you. Psalm 24, verse 7 through 10. Lift

    Psalms 24:7–10

1285. up your heads, O you gates, and be lifted up,

1286. you everlasting doors, and the King of glory

1287. shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The

1288. Lord strong and mighty. The Lord mighty in battle.

1289. Lift up your heads, O you gates. Lift up your

1290. everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall

1291. come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord

1292. of hosts. That's David's prophecy of the ascension

1293. of Christ. That's Jesus taking captivity captive.

1294. When he resurrected, when he went down to hell,

1295. took the keys of death and hell from Satan, he

1296. opened every prison door of Abraham's bosom because

1297. no man had ascended into heaven from that point.

1298. Only three that we know of. Enoch, who broke

1299. his appointment with death and God, took him.

1300. He's been the longest in the presence of God.

1301. Elijah, who went on a whirlwind, and Moses, who

1302. somehow was resurrected and shows up with Elijah

1303. on the Mount of Transfiguration. Three men in

1304. the presence of God. But the rest all went to

1305. Abraham's bosom waiting for Messiah, waiting

1306. for the king that would set them free. Well,

1307. David sings about it. And I think when Jesus

1308. was opening the doors and opened the prison cell

1309. of David, David probably popped out and said,

1310. I've been waiting for this day. You know, Jesus,

1311. this calls for a song. And I wrote a song hundreds

1312. of years ago about this moment. Can I lead worship

1313. on the way to heaven? Help me lead worship. And

1314. he got all the voices together and put everybody

1315. in their range and said, all right, guys, here's

1316. the chorus line. Open up your gates. Open up

1317. your everlasting doors and the king of glory

1318. shall come in. That's what we're going to sing,

1319. guys. Abraham and everybody else got tuned in.

1320. Deborah. And they all lined up with a chorus.

1321. And as they ascended to heaven with Christ, it's

1322. the ascension. He took captivity captive. And

1323. they went into the heavens, the heavenly doors

1324. that had not opened ever. All of a sudden, crying

1325. out from behind the door, who is this king of

1326. glory? Who is this king of glory? He's the Lord

1327. mighty in battle. He is the king of glory. And

1328. as they sang back, there's this conversation.

1329. David's thinking about it. Heaven cracks open.

1330. Do I have any doors, ancient doors that have

1331. never, all of a sudden, boom. They open up. And

1332. now heaven's aligned to receive Christ, the Son

1333. of God, like never been seen, glorified Christ,

1334. enters in through this possession line. I can

1335. see David and Abraham walking in together, Father

1336. standing at the throne with his arms stretched

1337. wide to receive his Son. Oh, it's the ascension

1338. of Christ coming into that very presence. I can

1339. see David nudging Abraham, saying, I know what's

1340. going to happen next. You want to know? Because

  1341. I saw it. I'm a prophet. I prophesied about this

1342. in another psalm. He said in Psalm 110, and he

1343. quotes Psalm 110, verse 1. The Lord said to my

    Psalms 110:1

1344. Lord, sit at my right hand until I make your

1345. enemies your footstool. I was there. Hundreds

1346. of years ago, I lived this moment in the presence

1347. of God. I stood right there. I saw the Father.

1348. The next thing that's going to happen is the

1349. Father's going to say to the Son, sit at my right

1350. hand. Until I make your enemies your footstool.

1351. David had glimpse of the future. And of the purpose

1352. of God. With Christ and his church. Prophesied

1353. about them. More messianic prophecies. More mysteries

1354. revealed in the Psalms. That's why maybe the

1355. Psalmist said. Upon my harp I'll speak enigmas.

1356. I'll speak mysteries with my music. Musicians

1357. haven't tapped into that. the way they need to.

1358. But if musicians caught up about if they could

1359. understand what their places on this platform

1360. is. It's not just to sing pretty songs and entertain

1361. people and guide people to a moment of worship

1362. where they give you goosebumps. It's about opening

1363. heaven. It's about taking the people into the

1364. very presence of God. It's about creating an

1365. atmosphere where you can enter and everybody

1366. ascends and the heaven touches earth and the

1367. word of God is made clear and revelation is clearer

1368. than ever. And the people who have trained their

1369. ears and can see, they'll begin to prophesy.

1370. Things in the theme of God for every service

1371. will be established and God will have his way

1372. and be glorified. I believe in a powerful church.

1373. I believe in the kind of church that you are.

1374. You are a prophetic church. Pastors were prophetic.

1375. Listen, you cannot be anything else. You're never

1376. going to be a quiet, sophisticated church. Forget

1377. about it. You're going to be loud, happy. joyful

1378. church, drunk in the Holy Ghost, but with order.

1379. Can you say amen? And you're going to know the

1380. protocol of prophecy. You've got great teachers

1381. among you. I'm just trying to stir up the fire

1382. in this house because I believe this change calls

1383. for a new anointing, a fresh touch of God. I

1384. believe that God wants to take you deeper than

1385. you've ever been. I believe God wants you to

1386. see things that you've never seen before and

1387. speak things that you've never dared to speak.

1388. Nobody has ever spoken of over this valley and

1389. over this area. But now, in the Lord, it is time.

1390. God's getting ready to release the people who

1391. already have positioned themselves for a great

1392. harvest. You had three meetings before. Get ready

1393. to do it all over again. Get ready to see such

1394. a harvest come in that you can't contain it.

1395. Get ready to release the word of the Lord in

1396. such a way that... will be set free and miracles

1397. and healings will begin to take place all over

1398. this house. In the corridors, in your hallways,

1399. in the children's church, the Spirit of the Lord

1400. will fall. And what happens in the service will

1401. happen simultaneously in different places. Oh,

1402. don't be so surprised when on your floyer and

1403. your coffee shop, the Holy Ghost comes and takes

1404. over. Coffee, tea, and prophecy. People prophesying,

1405. the anointing cut loose in the house of God.

1406. People falling on their knees all over the place.

1407. I believe God has called you into a tremendous

1408. time of transition. Sunday I'll speak to you

1409. about, maybe even tonight, about the difference

1410. between transition and change. They're two different

1411. things. And I believe that I'm here to stir you

1412. up. Tonight we're going to stir you up to prophesy.

1413. This morning, I want you to rise to your feet.

1414. I'm trying to give you in a capsule form 16 hours

1415. of training. There's a lot to dig out. In the

1416. word of God, you can study it. You can find it.

1417. Study the writings of Paul who teaches the church,

1418. especially the Corinthian church, on the prophetic.

1419. Chapter 13, he teaches them about love. Because

1420. he knew that love would be so important to manage

1421. and rule over spiritual gifts. Chapter 14 is

1422. all about the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Chapter

1423. 12 is about the actual articulation of the manifestation

1424. of the Holy Spirit. Love about what governs and

1425. then the protocol. That order that we need. The

1426. commandments, I call it the commandments of prophetic

1427. ministry are in chapter 14. so that we can adhere.

1428. The spirit of the prophet is subject to the prophet

1429. and prophets are submitted to the local church.

1430. Can you say amen? So whatever it is, whether

1431. you have a call of a prophet, you have the gift

1432. of prophecy, you were called to build a church.

1433. You were called to edify others. You were called

1434. to bring an expression of God to this world that

1435. the world will not be able to ignore. And I understand

1436. that God is the creator of heaven and earth.

1437. And who has the destiny of every man and every

1438. woman in their head. I believe you're the church

1439. that can do it now in this time. I believe God

1440. wants to use you. If you believe that, for a

1441. moment, let's get lost in God. It's the altar.

1442. It's the place where the lost get found and the

1443. found get lost. Get out of your seat. Come up

1444. front. Let's just, let's dig into the Lord because

1445. without His presence, There's nothing more. I

1446. don't have time to prophesy to all of you, but

1447. tonight we're going to prophesy maybe over a

1448. few. Bob's here as well. But if there's something

1449. we want to give you, is that sure word of prophecy

1450. that will ignite you, stir fire of the gift of

1451. God in you. You've received gifts you've prophesied

1452. before. God wants to stir it up inside of you.

1453. If you've never prophesied, this is a good time

1454. where God is going to cause your ear to be open.

1455. Touch your eyes so that you can see what he sees.

1456. Look at the world from his perspective. Help

1457. us, Holy Spirit, we need you. If you are interested
