back to your seats. We're going to go to the
-
word of the Lord. What a great moment in God
-
to hear God speak to some people about their
-
future. Can you give the Lord another hand? He's
-
awesome. Should we bring this down here? Oh,
-
you want it up? Okay. Hallelujah. You know, it's
-
wonderful to be able to have men of God that
-
are And so for those of you that have been here
-
a while and walked with me and Life Bible, you
-
know Pastor Bob and you know Pastor Danny, that
-
they operate not just in the prophetic, but that
-
there is a prophet mantle that rests over the
-
years. And you can tell. I had no idea how accurate
-
those words are. Amazing. God bless you. Let's
-
welcome Pastor Danny as he comes and teaches
-
us tonight. Come on, give him a big hand. Welcome
-
the man of God. Thank you. Love you. Praise God.
-
Praise the Lord. What an awesome honor to be
-
back. Amen. Thank you for having me back and
-
I bring you greetings from my dear wife. who
-
is home. She could not make this trip as well.
-
I was hoping that she would be with me, but through
-
the trips that we've made, she grew ill from
-
her body, and we felt best for her to get some
-
rest. So I didn't book her flight so she could
-
come here. I wanted her to rest for the last
-
few trips, and it's been so. She's recovering
-
well, sends her love this way, and just recently
-
had a great miracle. And we could tell she was
-
depleted. Our back was giving her problems. And
-
as we entered into this time of her being still
-
and resting, she got hit with a bell palsy. For
-
some of you who might know what that is, it's
-
a paralysis of the face where just your face
-
gets contorted. It can last six months. It could
-
last even more than that. And it takes a while
-
to heal. Well, the other day we anointed her
-
and she felt... very strong to accompany me on
-
one trip. And when we got to the city, the pastor
-
who was there told me about this story about
-
an anointing oil that came from a Bible that
-
just started literally dripping oil. It's one
-
of those marks and signs that we can't explain,
-
but who happened? The supernatural happens. And
-
so they... picked the oil up, they put it in
-
a bowl, it dripped into a bowl, and it was enough
-
to fill enough flasks of oil. And when we got
-
there with my wife, we were able to anoint her.
-
I personally anointed her with that oil. And
-
as I swiped my hand over her eye, which was very
-
twisted and could not close and drippy for almost
-
two weeks already, and then to her mouth that
-
was contorted, as I went down her face, I saw
-
her healed right before my eyes. Her face come
-
into place. The elders were watching. All the
-
pastor there was watching. And we just were amazed
-
at the Holy Spirit healing. He could do that
-
without the oil, but sometimes he just pleases
-
to do things the way he wants to. And we just
-
prayed and used that oil. Nathan, I sent you
-
a picture. There's that Bible. They had to put
-
it in a baggie because it just kept pouring oil
-
out of it. Hello. This is not any kind of gimmick.
-
This is just a regular Bible from one of my disciples
-
who all of a sudden, he's an evangelist and now
-
his Bible is actually flowing with oil. So he
-
actually carries two Bibles, a dry one that he
-
can preach from and this one that he can annoy
-
people with. So what, can you give God a hand
-
for supernatural things, signs and wonders? Amen.
-
Well, we definitely not. Are not to follow signs
-
and wonders, but signs and wonders are supposed
-
to follow us. Can you say amen? If we believe
-
in Christ. So we're believing the Lord for great
-
things. And one of the great things that I'm
-
here for this weekend is to talk to you about
-
intercession. And we've titled it prophetic intercession.
-
Prophetic intercession. And there is a scripture
-
in Timothy. In Timothy, it reads this way. I
-
urge you then, first of all, that petitions,
-
prayer, intercession, and thanksgiving be made
-
for all people. This is 1 Timothy 2, verse 1
-
through 4. For kings and those in authority,
-
that we may live peacefully and quiet lives in
-
all godliness and holiness. This is good. and
-
pleases God our Savior who wants all people to
-
be saved and to come to the knowledge of truth.
-
Come on. How many believe that God wants all
-
people to be saved? How many can thank God for
-
people that were reached today? Give the Lord
-
another hand for souls reached in the midst of
-
our worship. Amen. And prophetic intercession
-
is to take a stand for someone else. It's to
-
take a stand for someone else. or someone else,
-
take up someone else's burden in prayer, standing
-
in the gap for an individual, a church, a community,
-
a city, or a nation. I believe that God wants
-
to do this. I believe that God wants you and
-
I to learn how to take a stand for somebody else.
-
So many times we're concerned about ourselves
-
that we forget that we are the salt of the earth.
-
We forget that we are the light of this world
-
and that somehow our prayer should affect the
-
world. And though we are living in a day, There's
-
too much feedback here. Can we correct that?
-
Thank you. Though we're living in a day, is it
-
too high? Is it me? Hello. Okay, we got rid of
-
the bird. All right. Good. Though we're living
-
in an age of change, it's the norm of our day,
-
you and I are supposed to be stewards of change,
-
affect change, bring change. And prayer is one
-
of those ways. Intercessory prayer is one of
-
those ways. And I believe prophetic intercession
-
is divine intervention. I believe prophetic intercession
-
is divine intervention. You and I can intervene
-
in people's lives. You and I can actually come
-
between them and the thing that... them and the
-
very attack of the enemy, them and the sickness
-
that is plaguing their lives. You and I can bring
-
a change. In the last few months, my wife and
-
I have been praying and though we are human and
-
we grow sick in our bodies and we need prayer,
-
just like I told you about the testimony of my
-
wife, we've also watched healings and God used
-
our ministry, our school of ministry, the prophetic
-
school that we're taking around the world. We've
-
trained about 7 ,000 people so far, and now through
-
it, we've watched healings and miracles take
-
place. In Brazil, we watched a lady that had
-
cancer. She had been diagnosed with cancer in
-
both of her breasts. As we laid hands upon her
-
and prayed, laid hands on her head, she went
-
down under the anointing of the Lord, and all
-
of a sudden, her blouse began to fill up with
-
fluid. Tumors just seeped out of her body and
-
she was healed by the power of prayer. Amen.
-
Can you give the Lord a hand for that miracle?
-
Well, like that. We watched another lady who
-
was in our fourth stage of cancer be brought
-
to the church of my brother -in -law. I have
-
a brother -in -law, my sister's brother, who
-
we sent out some 22 years ago to pastor a church
-
and raise a church. And they brought this lady
-
with fourth degree cancer, fourth stage of cancer.
-
Really, the doctor said they couldn't do anything
-
else for her. She came to church her first time.
-
We prayed for her and the cancer. It was God.
-
God healed her. They could not find the cancer.
-
She didn't even know what was happening, but
-
we prayed in faith, and God caused that cancer
-
to be eliminated from her body. And we believe
-
that we can bring divine intervention. I believe
-
that it starts in the smallest form, but it can
-
increase, and your faith can increase to stand
-
in the gap and believe God to intervene in situations,
-
and God can use you. Would you look at your neighbor
-
and say, God wants to use you? In divine intervention.
-
That's right. I believe he wants you to stop
-
the enemy's attack and onslaught on families.
-
I believe you can stop the work of the enemy
-
on families through intercessory prayer and through
-
prayer that goes up before the Lord. When Timothy
-
spoke about intercession, that it was good for
-
us to make intercession, that word intercession
-
in the Greek. Antioxis, it means it's an intercession
-
prayer, falling in with it, meeting with an interviewer,
-
coming together to visit, to converse for any
-
other cause. It's to be able to make a petition
-
and a supplication for another. what intercession
-
is all about it's you standing in that place
-
but then the old testament has a word for intercession
-
and the old testament has a word and it's the
-
word in the hebrew intercession is known in your
-
old testament as the word paga paga and it's
-
a primitive comes from a primitive root to pray
-
to reach and even to run pray reach run and i
-
believe those are all works it's to encounter
-
to confront as one who makes war, to attack,
-
I like that warfare language, to reach as to
-
reach the mark, to entreat, to make intercession.
-
And I believe that... As we believe in intercessory
-
prayer and we talk about divine intervention,
-
I believe that you're going to have to arm up
-
because we're going to go to war with prophetic
-
intercession. And we're going to believe God
-
that God's going to use our prayers. And while
-
praise and worship is about creating an atmosphere
-
for the presence of the Lord to be made manifest
-
among us, intercession is more than just something
-
descending. It's us ascending. To the presence
-
of God. It's us going up into the presence of
-
God. Hearing what is going on in the presence
-
of God. Let God speak to us. And then we pray
-
knowing what the will of God is. Can you say
-
amen? And we're going to talk about this. So
-
I believe that God wants to do some great things.
-
And he wants to do it through you and I. In Psalm
-
24, let me pull this scripture. It's one of the
-
last scriptures in my slides, but if you can
-
pull that, I want to introduce that right now.
-
Psalm 24, verse 3 to 6. Listen to it. Who may
-
ascend to the mountain of the Lord, and who may
-
stand in his holy place? The one who has clean
-
hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in
-
an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive
-
blessing from the Lord and vindication. from
-
their God, their Savior. Such is the generation,
-
such is the generation of those who seek him,
-
who seek your face, God of Jacob. Another translation
-
says, this is Jacob. That's quite a remarkable
-
statement. Those who seek your face. There was
-
something about Jacob. There was a persistent
-
about Jacob of old. And while we've been taught
-
he was a deceiver, I see him as a persister,
-
somebody who persistently was going after God,
-
was waiting for his blessing. How many remember
-
when he wrestled with God? He did not let go
-
until he got his blessing. Well... Prayer, intercessory
-
prayer is all about persistent. It's all about
-
insisting. It's all about going out. And we used
-
to have an intercessory ministry in our church
-
in New York City. We called it PUSH, the Ministry
-
of PUSH. Pray until something happens. PUSH.
-
Don't stop praying. You pray until something
-
happens. You keep praying. You keep believing
-
God. You keep going. You know, I'm reminded when
-
I was a little boy. I wasn't growing up in a
-
Christian home and I was full of mischief. And
-
growing up in New York City in downtown, close
-
to Delancey Street, where all the buildings were
-
and businesses were together, living in a building
-
close to a big furniture store that was only
-
two buildings away from my building, I couldn't
-
wait to have some time off to persecute the people
-
in the business, furniture business. As a little
-
boy, some of the things I would do, At the age
-
of six or seven. And without my parents. We were
-
with other kids in the community. And you leave
-
kids alone. And they'll find trouble. And so
-
we would ring the bell. Of this business. This
-
furniture store. And we'd ring it and run. Ever
-
had somebody ring your bell and run? Kids are
-
famous for that. We would ring the bell and run.
-
Ring the bell and run. And we'd watch. And when
-
the person went back already from the door and
-
sat down comfortable, we'd ring the bell again.
-
And they would run out again. And one day I got
-
caught. It was this huge man. He looked like
-
God to me. He was huge. I didn't know anything
-
about God, but this guy was big. And he pulled
-
me into the store and gave me the scolding of
-
my life. And then he actually met my parents.
-
And that was the end of my ring bell. Ringing
-
the bells in that store. But some of us in church
-
are like that. We ring the bell and run. And
-
don't wait for God to show up. I thank God for
-
my grandchildren. When I come home from a long
-
trip, I still have young grandchildren. My oldest
-
is going to be 18 this Monday. Another one is
-
going to be 16 this Monday, both born on my first
-
birthday. That's when I'm flying out on Sunday
-
night to celebrate Monday, our birthday together.
-
But all the others go up to six of age, and all
-
of them, I remember them, and they still do it.
-
The younger ones do it. They want to see Grandpa
-
after a long trip. They get to my door, and they
-
ring and ring and ring. And I could be off in
-
some other room and try to make my way, and they
-
don't stop ringing until that door opens. Well,
-
I believe that's intercessory prayer at its best.
-
I believe that you... You and I have got to ring
-
the bell. Somebody say, ring the bell. That's
-
right. You and I need to ring the bell and stay
-
there ringing that bell until something happens.
-
Amen? You need to insist and you need to persist
-
in seeing God do something on your behalf. God
-
wants to work miracles on your behalf. But I
-
believe that you and I need to also be able to
-
ascend to the hill of God. Because intercessory
-
prayer is about ascending into the presence of
-
the Lord. It's about getting God's attention.
-
It's about entering into that place of intimacy.
-
with God through prayer where you can stand and
-
you can with your whole heart into it and your
-
whole soul you're praying it's not that prayer
-
where people fall asleep when I first got saved
-
I fell asleep well I didn't fall asleep but I
-
was in a church and almost fell asleep because
-
on Monday nights when they prayed they turned
-
off the lights and dimmed the lights because
-
somehow we got it in us humans that we have to
-
turn the lights down to get spiritual And they
-
turned the lights down and people started praying
-
and because it was a church full of elderly people,
-
they couldn't help it but fell asleep. But here
-
I'm 17 years old, just got saved and I'm on fire.
-
I got filled with the Holy Ghost and I want some
-
action and people are snoring in the time of
-
prayer. And they're snoring, falling asleep.
-
Well, my whole task was to create a band of disciples
-
that would change that church. And so I created
-
a bunch of disciples, made sure they were filled
-
with the Holy Ghost. And we said, let's pray
-
in the Spirit. When we get to church, as soon
-
as they turn the lights off, you're going to
-
do this. They don't do it, but you're going to
-
do it. When the lights go off, you pray in the
-
Spirit. And pray loud. So they turned off the
-
lights on the first day and we were all there.
-
And now it was a crowd of young people that were
-
saved because God was moving in a powerful way.
-
And here we started praying in the spirit all
-
at once. Soon the lights went off, that was our
-
marker. And all of a sudden that elder ran back
-
to the switch to turn the light off. As soon
-
as he turned it on, we all looked like... None
-
of us were in because we knew it was a very conservative
-
church. They were going to throw us out. So as
-
soon as he turned the lights down again, we would
-
start praying in the Spirit again. And all night
-
long, that went on for a number of weeks until
-
one night, on a Monday night, the Spirit of God
-
broke through as we ascended into the presence
-
of God and there was no coming back. God showed
-
up in that church and revival struck that church.
-
It's never been the same again. Hallelujah. The
-
church has grown and planted churches and has
-
stepped away from the traditions of man that
-
were making the word of God of no effect and
-
have believed the word of God for the miraculous.
-
So I'm believing, God, that prophetic intercession
-
is about not just prayer. It's about, has a prophetic
-
element to it where you can actually hear the
-
voice of the Lord. The Lord can reveal things
-
that are going to happen and you can intervene.
-
Somebody say divine intervention. All right,
-
the next scripture is, so it's to take a stand
-
for someone else. That's what prophetic intercession
-
is, to take a stand. It's to take up someone
-
else's burden in prayer, standing in the gap
-
for an individual, a church, community, a city,
-
or a nation. The next slide, Luke chapter 22.
Luke 22 chapter mention
-
Luke chapter 22, verse 31 through 32. Simon,
-
stay on your toes. And I'm using the message
-
translation to make this as simple as possible.
-
Simon, stay on your toes. Satan has tried his
-
best to separate all of you from me. This is
-
Jesus speaking to Simon, to Peter. Like chaff
-
from wheat, Simon, I've prayed for you in particular
-
that you not give in or give out. When you have
-
come through the time of testing, Turn to your
-
companions and give them a fresh start. Come
-
on. What an incredible word from the Lord Jesus
-
Christ to Simon. That was intercessory prayer.
-
I'm praying for you. I know what the enemy's
-
up to, but I'm praying for you. You're going
-
to go through the test. He didn't pray him out
-
of the test. He prayed him through the test.
-
Come on, somebody say when we come through. Some
-
people want you to pray them out of the test.
-
No, the test is going to make you grow. The test
-
is going to shape your character. It's the dark
-
places of your life that shape your character
-
if you allow God to work in your life. How many
-
have been shaped by some of the darkest moments
-
in your life? How many have gained some wisdom,
-
some authority? I love that word today coming
-
to that young missionary. She's not going to
-
make the same mistakes you made. There's something
-
about mistakes and something that things that
-
we go through that teach us wisdom so we can
-
pass. and on. Amen? And that's what the Lord
-
said. Give your friends a fresh start. When you
-
get through it, you're going to have something
-
to say to them. Can you say amen? So Jesus interceded.
-
And then in Colossians chapter 4, verses 12 through
-
13, listen how Paul speaks about this prayer
-
warrior for us. He says, who is one of you, a
-
bondservant of Christ, greets you, always laboring
-
fervently. Somebody say fervently. That speaks
-
about passion. Always laboring fervently for
-
you in prayers that you may stand perfect and
-
complete in all the will of God. For I bear him
-
witness that he has a great zeal for you and
-
those who are in Laodicea and those in Hierapolis.
-
This man was a man who prayed not just for believers.
-
He prayed for cities and churches. He prayed
-
for people. He was zealous. He had a passion.
-
He was giving. He was fervently. He burned with
-
this passion to pray. And there's people that
-
God raises at the church. While all of us should
-
give ourselves to prayer and praying for governments
-
and praying for people and cities. And all of
-
us should experience intercession. There are
-
those that God anoints with a special anointing
-
to stand in prayer. This man was a man who constantly
-
went after prayer, praying to bring divine intervention
-
to people's lives. He prayed for the churches.
-
He prayed for people individually. And I believe
-
that God's raising that kind of people today.
-
I believe they're in this church. This is a praying
-
church. Can you give the Lord a hand for a praying
-
church? Hallelujah. Ezekiel chapter 22, listen
Ezekiel 22 chapter mention
-
to this. Ezekiel 22 verse 26 through 29 seems
-
to be speaking about our day almost. As it reads,
-
your priest violated my law and desecrated my
-
holy things. They can't tell the difference between
-
the sacred and the secular. They tell people
-
there's no difference between right and wrong.
-
Their contemptions of my holy Sabbaths profaning
-
me by trying to pull me down to their level.
-
Your politicians are like wolves prowling and
-
killing and rapturously taking whatever they
-
want. How many think that sounds a little familiar?
-
Your preachers cover up for the politicians.
-
By pretending to have received visions and special
-
revelations, they say, this is what God, the
-
master, says. When God hasn't said so much as
-
one word, extortion is rife, robbery is epidemic,
-
the poor and the needy are abused, outsiders
-
are kicked around at will. No access to justice.
-
No access to justice. How many think... That
-
God's raising a people who do have access to
-
justice. You and I have access by the blood of
-
Jesus into the throne of God. We have access
-
into the very presence of God. So there's no
-
access. Then it goes on, verse 30 to 31. I look
-
for someone to stand up for me against all of
-
this. To repair the defenses of the city. To
-
take a stand for me. And to stand in the gap.
-
To protect this land. So I wouldn't have to destroy
-
it. I couldn't find anyone. Not one. So I'll
-
empty out my raft on them. Burned them to a crisp
-
with my hot anger. Served them. With the consequences
-
of all they've done. Decree of God. The master.
-
What a tough word. He only looked. He was looking
-
for one. At least one. He could not find one.
-
I look for someone to stand up. Look at your
-
neighbor and say, stand up. I look for someone
-
to repair the defenses of the city. Somebody
-
say, dare to repair the defenses of a city. Oh,
-
I know you want politicians to do that, but it's
-
the church's job to do it. We have... somehow
-
given that to the politicians thinking that if
-
they just legislate the right laws, everything
-
will be all right. Well, the enemy is not a respecter
-
of the laws of man. Though laws can be legislated,
-
I believe that we need to stand in prayer for
-
righteous men to rule and for the legislation
-
of law. We cannot forget our place and our place
-
of intercessory prayer that keeps nation. I believe
-
that prayer can keep a city. Prayer can keep
-
a family. Prayer can keep our children. How many
-
believe that? How many believe that prayer can
-
keep our nation? I think that the absence of
-
prayer in our schools have brought on everything
-
that we have going on in our schools. But we
-
bring prayer back to its place and we're going
-
to watch God do something in our city. Well,
-
let's repair the defenses of the city to take
-
a stand for me and stand in the gap to protect
-
this land so I wouldn't have to destroy it. To
-
take a stand, to stand up. For me against all
-
this. And again he says to take a stand for me.
-
Somebody say take a stand for the Lord. Take
-
a stand for the Lord. Sometimes intercessory
-
prayer. We think that it's taking a stand for
-
somebody else. And though it is to stand in the
-
gap. When you stand in the gap. You're actually
-
taking a stand for the Lord. You're actually
-
standing where the Lord wants you to stand. Where
-
he would stand to make a difference. Can you
-
say amen? So and I believe God wants to do this.
-
Now we have a great example in Nehemiah. The
-
Bible talks about Nehemiah, and Nehemiah had
-
to stand up in his day. Let me move through this
-
quickly, because this weekend we're going to
-
spend time talking about intercessory prayer
-
and the different avenues. This is a vast subject,
-
but I'm here just as a forerunner of what's coming
-
later to this church. I believe that God is going
-
to take this church into deep realms of prayer,
-
and things are going to begin to happen just
-
like the Lord said. The glory of the Lord is
-
going to show up in this place. Miracles, signs,
-
and wonders will begin to happen. and all over
-
the place. Can you say amen? But Nehemiah's example,
-
as we go to the book of Nehemiah, we read, stand
-
up for me. That's what God said. And Nehemiah,
-
having heard of the destruction of Jerusalem,
-
when he got news that the walls were down and
-
the gates were burned, the spirit of intercession
-
fell on him. He began to pray, separated himself
-
with fasting and prayer. And then he took a stand.
-
He took a stand by going in front of the king
-
with the burden that he had. Now, in those days,
-
to go before a king sad, it meant a death penalty.
-
You would be put to death. It was not right to
-
serve in the courts of a king with a sad face.
-
You had to be joyful. But he took a stand. So
-
the king asked me, why does your face look so
-
sad? And when you are not ill, there's no illness.
-
There's nothing wrong. What's going on? This
-
can be nothing but sadness of heart. And then
-
I was very much afraid. But I said to the king,
-
may the king live forever. Why should my face
-
not look sad when the city where my ancestors
-
are buried lies in ruins and its gates have been
-
destroyed by fire? He took on such a burden that
-
he could not hide it. That's an intercessory
-
burden. It isn't with you just the moment you
-
pray. It's with you all day. You live with it.
-
You wake up with it. You go to bed at night with
-
it. Intercessory prayer is just different than
-
just... praying occasionally. This is something
-
that grabs you. It falls as a burden on your
-
life. You can't get rid of it. You've got to
-
continue to pray. The Holy Spirit comes on you
-
to make you an intercessor. How many have ever
-
had a burden come on you? You weren't even thinking
-
about it. All of a sudden God drops a burden
-
on you for somebody and you begin to pray for
-
them and you can't get it out of your mind and
-
you're thinking about calling them but you don't
-
call them but somehow you can't stop praying
-
for them until you call them and find out what's
-
going on and pray effectively. Well, that's the
-
intercessory prayer of the Holy Spirit training
-
you to hear Him. He's trying to speak to you
-
about how to pray and what to pray for and who
-
to pray for and at what time to pray. Are you
-
with me? So intercessory prayer is a burden that
-
comes on you so that you can intervene. You can
-
stand in the gap. And verse 10 says, when Sanballat,
-
this is after he goes out there, when Sanballat
-
and Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official
-
heard about this, they were very much disturbed
-
that someone had come to promote the welfare
-
of the Israelites. Somebody say someone. Someone
-
had come to promote. He took his stand. It was
-
him. It was this man, Nehemiah, took a stand
-
and said, I'm going to do it. I'm gonna make
-
this happen. I'm gonna take a stand for the city.
-
I'm gonna take a stand. You've got to be able
-
to do that. Listen, when Nehemiah, when we talk
-
about Nehemiah as this example, number one is
-
stand up for me. That's what it says. Number
-
one is stand up for me. Nehemiah chapter two,
-
verse 17 through 18. Then I said to them, you
-
see the trouble we are in? He's talking to the
-
people. Jerusalem lies in ruins and its gates
-
have been burned with fire. Come and let us rebuild
-
the wall of Jerusalem and we will no longer be
-
in disgrace. I also told them about the gracious
-
hand of my God on me and what the king had said
-
to me. And they replied, let us start rebuilding.
-
So they began this good work. Intercessory prayers
-
about you deciding to go to work. It's about
-
you deciding to take a stand. It's about you
-
deciding to influence other people to stand with
-
you and help rebuild the wall. And I think many
-
of us, and I was just so glad to see the spirit
-
of prayer in this church because I can tell that
-
you have been engaging in intercessory prayer.
-
And I believe you got here because of many intercessors
-
and those who have prayed this church along through
-
the years. Can you give those that have gone
-
before you a big hand? Those who have been at
-
the inception of this ministry. stood prayer,
-
tears. They called on God. Thank God for them.
-
They're to be honored and blessed. They stood
-
in the gap. When you weren't even here, they
-
were praying for your arrival. I watched people
-
today as we entered. I entered this place. People
-
early in here praying over the chairs and laying
-
hands on the chairs so that visitors would come
-
and experience. God in a special way. I believe
-
God is answering that prayer. Come on, give the
-
Lord another hand. He is answering the prayers
-
that are going on in this church. So you're to
-
take a stand. You're to stand up for it. And
-
you're to influence other people. Take the stand
-
so strong that other people, you can convince
-
other people to stand with you and start rebuilding.
-
Because it's all about repairing up. The defense.
-
Number two is Nehemiah's example was to repair
-
the defenses. That's what God said. Someone to
-
repair the defenses. I'm looking for somebody
-
that would repair the defenses of this city.
-
That's what we read. Ezekiel 13 verse 5. You
-
have not gone up into the gates. Neither made
-
up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand
-
in the battle in the day of the Lord. You did
-
not. You have not gone up. You haven't. Build
-
a hedge. You have not gone up. To build a hedge.
-
To go up into the gaps. Into the gaps. That's
-
the ministry of intercession. At it's best. It's
-
when you can find your place. To stand. Those
-
gaps. Where people are not even talking about
-
it. Some people are looking at the end result.
-
Not looking at the consequence. Or what caused
-
that. The things that caused those results. And
-
somebody's got to go into those gaps. Intercessors
-
know how to make their way right there and pray
-
with the will of God, with divine revelation
-
about the cause of these things that are happening
-
in our nation. The ministry of intercession will
-
draw your enemy's attention. So when you enter
-
the ministry of intercession, just like Nehemiah,
-
it drew the attention of his enemies. If you're
-
going to be part of intercessory ministry, some
-
of you are already under attack. Get ready for
-
more attack. That's a great word, pastor. Why
-
did you bring him? In the middle of warfare,
-
in the middle of attack, the enemy draws. Listen,
-
why would the enemy care to mess with a church
-
that's not being effective? But the moment the
-
church steps into a place where she becomes effective,
-
all hell will break loose against you. The moment
-
you family decides, and all of you have experiences,
-
the moment you decide to pray more, read your
-
Bible more, the moment you decide to give more,
-
the moment you decide to get more committed,
-
all hell breaks loose. Anybody been there? It's
-
just me. Come on. Somehow, the word gets out
-
in hell, and every demon is released against
-
you. But that's the time when God wants you to
-
be able to understand that this is just part
-
of the program. Come. Hello? Are you with me?
-
Nehemiah 4, 7. But when Zimbala, Tobias, the
-
Arabs, the Ammonites, and the people of Ashton
-
heard the repairs of Jerusalem's wall had gone
-
ahead and that gaps were being closed, they were
-
very angry. Come on. We should intercede just
-
to make the devil mad. Just to make him angry.
-
I'm going to stand in the gap just to make you
-
angry. That's my first agenda. I want to make
-
you angry, devil. I want you to know there's
-
somebody ready to fight against you. Ready to
-
take a stand. And then letter B, the ministry
-
of intercession will... your enemies will attempt
-
to distract you. Not only will they attract your
-
enemies, but your enemies, when they come, they
-
will attempt to distract you. Distract you. I
-
heard the story of a little champion girl who
-
had done something wrong and when she was corrected,
-
she told somebody, I was distracted and sin got
-
a hold of me. I think she's five years old. She's
-
in this house. Little Jesse. I was distracted.
-
I just heard that tonight. And sin got a hold
-
of me. How many of you know that's true? Every
-
time we get distracted, she's a preacher already.
-
Well, Nehemiah knew something that you can't
-
allow the enemy to distract you. Because if the
-
enemy can distract you, he'll divert you. And
-
if he can divert you, he'll deceive you. And
-
if he deceives you, he'll disgrace you. And if
-
he can disgrace you, he'll attempt to destroy
-
you. Don't be distracted. Look at somebody and
-
say, don't be distracted. So Nehemiah 6, verse
-
1 through 3, when the word came out to Zimbala,
-
Tobias, Geshem, and the Arab, and the rest of
-
our enemies, that I had rebuilt the wall and
-
not a gap was left in it. Though up to that time
-
I had not set the doors in the gates, Samballot
-
and Geshem sent me this message. Come and let
-
us meet together in one of the villages on the
-
plain of Ono. But they were scheming to harm
-
me. So I sent messengers to them with this reply.
-
I'm carrying on a great project. Or a great work.
-
I cannot go down. Why should the work stop. While
-
I leave it to go down to you. Look at your neighbor
-
and say. We're called to a great work. It's a
-
great project. Amen. God's got an agenda. He
-
wants us to get this thing done. He wants us
-
to stand in the gap, and you've got no time to
-
get distracted. You need to tell the enemy, I
-
don't have time for this distraction. I am going
-
to continue. I know you're trying to stop me
-
from what God's called me to do, but I'm going
-
to pray even more. I'm going to pray harder.
-
I'm going to get up early. I'm going to go to
-
bed later. I'm going to do whatever I have to
-
do, but I'm going to pray on. Can you say amen?
-
Somebody say push. Pray until something happens.
-
Amen. Don't stop praying. And the ministry of
-
intercession, listen, this point C, your enemies
-
will realize you're not alone. When you keep
-
on pushing, when you keep on doing the work,
-
Nehemiah 6 .16 says this, when all our enemies
-
heard about this, all the surrounding nations
-
were afraid and lost their self -confidence because
-
they realized that this work had been done with
-
the help of God. Come on. Are you ready to see
-
God come to your aid? When you stand in the gap,
-
that's all God's waiting for. I heard a prophetic
-
word. The eyes of the Lord are going to and fro.
-
They're looking for somebody whose heart is totally
-
committed with Him to show Himself strong on
-
their behalf. Come on, somebody. Look at your
-
neighbor and say, God wants to show off on your
-
behalf. Things that cannot be done will be done.
-
be done. Things that could not happen will happen.
-
Things that could not be healed. Infirmity that
-
could not leave will be gone in the name of the
-
Lord. Intercessors step into a place of divine
-
intervention and cause the miraculous to take
-
place in the house of God. I believe that you
-
and I have got to be able to repair those places.
-
Repair the ruins. Repair those things that will
-
help our city get restored. Number three. Nehemiah's
-
example, to stand in the gap to protect. In Nehemiah
-
chapter four, verse 13 through 14, says, therefore
-
I stationed some of the people behind the lowest
-
points of the wall at the exposed places, posting
-
them by families with their swords, spears, and
-
bows. Verse 14, after I looked things over, I
-
stood up and said to the nobles, The officials
-
and the rest of the people, don't be afraid of
-
them. Remember the Lord who is great and awesome.
-
And fight for your families. Somebody say fight
-
for your families. Your sons. Your daughters.
-
Your wives. And your homes. How many think it's
-
worth fighting for? How many think your wife
-
is worth fighting for? Somebody say, um. Fight
-
for your wife. Come on. Women, look at your husband
-
and say, fight for me, honey. That's right. There's
-
got to be men in this house that will fight.
-
Not fight with them, but fight for them. Amen?
-
We've got to fight all mixed up. We're fighting
-
with one another. We're fighting and contending
-
even home against home and family against family
-
when our fight is not against flesh and blood,
-
but against principalities and powers of the
-
air. When you feel yourself cornered, Fight the
-
devil. Come on, somebody rise up and fight the
-
enemies of this house. Fight those that are saying
-
that this house is not going to go to its future.
-
Fight that spirit of lying. Fight that spirit
-
that comes to try to distract and discourage
-
the people of the house of the Lord. Somebody
-
say fight. Come on, intercessory ministry and
-
divine intervention does not happen without a
-
fight. You're going to have to fight and travail.
-
You're going to have to travail in prayer. You're
-
going to have to call out God. You're going to
-
have to push the gates of hell back. You're going
-
to have to say to the devil, I know what you're
-
scheming, but it's not going to happen. You can't
-
have my son. You can't have my daughter. You
-
will not have my marriage. You've got to fight
-
for your family. Some children and young people
-
in this place need to begin to fight for their
-
parents. Parents that are not saved and begin
-
to say, I'm now saved. Washed by the blood of
-
the Lamb. I have access into the throne of heaven.
-
I have authority to push back the gates of hell.
-
I have a promise from God. Believe in me and
-
you and your house shall be saved. I'm going
-
to pray for my parents. I'm going to see them
-
saved. I'm going to push until something happens.
-
I'm going to pray. Can you say amen? Hallelujah.
-
I believe that God wants to do some spectacular,
-
miraculous things as we dare to believe God.
-
Well, that's all I have time for tonight. But
-
you and I need to fight. We're gonna believe
-
God because there are people that are taking
-
care of the children of your families. And believe
-
God that the spirit of intercession is gonna
-
come upon this church and many... will stand
-
up, will be repairs of the city, of the defenses
-
of the city, and will begin to close every gap
-
by standing in the gap. Well, investigate. And
-
what are the very weaknesses of this city? What's
-
going on in this city? What are the major sins
-
of this city? What are the things that are plaguing
-
the young people of this house or of this city?
-
How do you stand in the gap for a city if you
-
don't know what's going on? How do you stand
-
in the gap for a nation if you don't know what's
-
going on? How do you stand in the gap for your
-
family, your children, if you're not talking
-
with your children? Finding out where are the
-
low parts of the wall that need to be built.
-
Where are those open gaps that have been left
-
open? Maybe it was your own disobedience that
-
opened some of those gaps up. Maybe it was your
-
kids that opened the gap. But we have the authority
-
to close them. We have the authority to stand
-
in them. And until God does something, we need
-
to stand and begin to pray. And we need to intercede
-
in a way that the enemy knows that we're serious,
-
that we're ready, that we're going to continue
-
to ring the bell until God shows up with all
-
his glory and his majesty and fights for us.
-
Are you with me? Are you ready to enter into
-
a whole new realm of intercession? Maybe you're
-
there already and this time this weekend is just
-
to strengthen your hands and strengthen you to
-
pray and to draw near to God and for you to understand
-
that prayer works. I can't tell you enough about
-
divine intervention. When I was going off to
-
college, Bible college, I was selling my properties
-
in Puerto Rico so I could pay my way through
-
school and try to at least get my footing in
-
Portland, Oregon when I was coming to Portland
-
Bible College. My wife was young. We were both
-
young and married. The person who was buying
-
my house, together with a lawyer who was doing
-
the transactions of the sale, tried to scheme.
-
He wanted to take the money of the sale and wanted
-
to rob us, basically. And when I got word of
-
it through another lawyer who saw it, he told
-
me about the relationship of that buyer with
-
that lawyer and how they were scheming. I really
-
got very irate. And I was only saved about two
-
years. Kind of a new saved guy. Saved out of
-
the streets. And I remember calling for a meeting
-
in my house. I was on my way to Bible college,
-
but here's the enemy trying to distract me. right
-
before I go off. And my mom saw me. She was a
-
woman who had just come to the Lord also. First
-
one saved my family after myself. She began to
-
pray for me because she saw that my life had
-
been transformed and changed and all of a sudden
-
she's seeing me very upset. She hadn't seen me
-
like this. So she begins to pray and I call for
-
a meeting of all my old friends. Kind of my...
-
Little mafia guys. Called them to my house to
-
see how we would get even. My dear wife started
-
praying and interceding so that God would intervene
-
some way. Giselle, a young bride, was crying
-
out to God. She was raised in a godly family.
-
I wasn't raised that way. So she knew a lot more
-
and had a lot more patience and knew that God
-
would come to work. Life was young of the Lord
-
and I thought, well, vengeance is mine. You know.
-
And I was scheming that night to do something.
-
And guess who showed up at my house? She didn't
-
live close by me. She traveled all the way to
-
my house because my wife began to pray. The Lord
-
spoke to my mother. She made her way. There were
-
no cell phones, no texts. There was no way my
-
mom could know anything about this. But she showed
-
up, a little woman, but just a little woman.
-
You know, Mary was probably a little lady compared
-
to Jesus. And I'm still little, but still wanting
-
to grow. So if any of you have an anointing to
-
make things grow, pray for me. But my mom showed
-
up. full of the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
-
Called, stepped into my meeting. She didn't ask
-
for permission. She just said, Danny, come over
-
here. I want to talk to you. And I just knew
-
when I saw her eyes full of tears, I knew she
-
had something in her heart to give me. I didn't
-
expect her to give me the word of the Lord. She
-
intervened that day with a word. She said, I've
-
been praying for you. And God sent me to give
-
you this word. He told me you're about to do
-
something. That will destroy your ministry. Before
-
it even starts. If you do what you're going to
-
do tonight. What you're planning. You will never
-
return back to this island. To preach the gospel.
-
The doors will be closed. And you will have entrance
-
into this island. She prayed with me. And she
-
broke my spirit. Broke the anger in me. Brought
-
me back to my senses in God. The Holy Spirit
-
came over me. I walked out of that room. To that
-
crowd of ungodly men. And said to them, please
-
forgive me. I've done wrong by you and by the
-
Lord. I asked their forgiveness. And they left
-
not fulfilling anything that we had talked about.
-
And we called off everything. And I went to court
-
and went through the sale. And God reversed the
-
whole thing. And God blessed us just like he
-
said he would. And he prevented me, divine intervention.
-
stepped into my life that day through my mother.
-
And I'll never forget that. It's today I'm a
-
preacher to the nations, not only to my island
-
of Puerto Rico, but to the nations of the world
-
because she dared to intervene. She dared to
-
hear what God wanted to do. And in prayer, she
-
responded and stood in the gap. I wonder how
-
many things will be intervened by this church
-
as you step in the gap and begin to pray. How
-
many attempts of the enemy will just crumble
-
to nothing how many works of Satan will be destroyed
-
through the faithful prayer how many people will
-
be healed in this church how many miracles will
-
begin to take place in the next few weeks and
-
months in this church as you begin to take a
-
whole different stand of prayer are you ready
-
for the challenge? are you ready for the fight?
-
stand with me tonight Lord, I thank you. I thank
-
you that you're causing people not just to pray,
-
but to enter into a realm of prophetic intercession.
-
A time where they can hear what you want them
-
to pray about, what you want them to do, and
-
they can act on that word and bring a performance
-
to intervene in every scheme of Satan. Cause,
-
Lord, cause people's lives to be spared. Cause
-
people to... Come out of their sick beds and
-
out of their death beds. Cause families to walk
-
away from divorce court and be healed and restored.
-
Oh God, I pray. Hand of the Lord would save young
-
people, Lord, from suicide through this church.
-
From a spirit that lurks to try to destroy them
-
before they even started. In the name of Jesus,
-
I pray, oh God, that you put a burden on those
-
who pray in the house. Cause them to understand
-
how to ascend into your presence. How to have
-
clean hands and a pure heart. To be able to ascend
-
into your hill, into your very presence. Oh,
-
God, to seek you with this endeavor. In Jesus'
-
name, and everyone said, amen. God bless you.
-
Hallelujah. Praise you, Lord. If we could have
-
the ushers come. Bob, if we could just maybe
-
just set the buckets on the stage of those that
-
want to just sow in tonight. Tomorrow morning
-
we'll receive an offering proper for Danny as
-
well. But if you want to sow in tonight to his
-
ministry, we're going to take a freewill offering
-
for him. You know, we'll just set some up on
-
the stage. I want you just to be able to come
-
around as the worship team just kind of worships,
-
I guess. And plays a little bit. I believe tonight
-
there was an impartation of something on several
-
levels. Number one, we heard the word of the
-
Lord in regard to miracles, healings, the miraculous.
-
I believe there was an impartation tonight. But
-
two, I believe there was a stirring that took
-
place to remind, especially some of us that have
-
been... laboring for a long time to remind us
-
that some of the things that have happened through
-
the years it isn't coincidence and just to bring
-
to our mind that God actually has been answering
-
prayers and that the fight that some of the things
-
that we've encountered is not by coincidence
-
and not to grow weary in doing well for others
-
that heard tonight recognizing that prayer And
-
standing in the gap for the house of the Lord,
-
for the people of God, for families, for the
-
lost, for the miraculous is absolutely imperative.
-
And to anchor into that and say, this is what
-
God is looking for. He's asking me to sign up,
-
to begin to pray according to the Spirit, to
-
begin to receive a godly burden. Maybe it's for
-
children. Maybe it's for the lost. Maybe it's
-
for the miraculous. Maybe it's the gamut of how
-
the Holy Spirit will just begin to bring thoughts.
-
God is bringing a touch and an impartation. So
-
tonight, as we dismiss, just bring something
-
before the Lord. We're just going to add this
-
to just Danny's love offering at the end of the
-
weekend. God bless you. Receive that tonight
-
in the name of Jesus. God bless you as you go.
-
We'll see you in the morning. Doors open, I believe,
-
around 9 .30. We'll start at 10 o 'clock. It's
-
going to be a great time tomorrow. 10 to about
-
12 .30. Thank you. interested in hearing other
