  1. In the worship service. It can happen in your

  2. car. It can happen in your prayer closet. God

  3. wants to meet with you. And he wants you to ascend

  4. to where he is at. I believe he wants you to

  5. have that experience. Even John said in a moment.

  6. In the spirit. I heard a voice of the Lord calling

  7. to me. In an open door. And in a moment. In that

  8. moment. I was in heaven. I was in the presence

  9. of God. Well through the spirit of God. We do

  10. have access to the very presence of God. You

  11. know. I learned this at the age of 17 when I

  12. was just... Coming into the kingdom. I was saved

  13. at the age of 17. Filled with the Holy Ghost.

  14. Right after I was saved. And one of my first

  15. experiences. Actually the first miracle I ever

  16. saw. In my ministry. As a young man. And I didn't

  17. even know what ministry was in those days. But

  18. it was what. First work that God allowed me to

  19. do. Was after I had separated myself. To seek

  20. the Lord. I spent some time fasting and praying.

  21. And in a worship service at a camp meeting. Because

  22. I was so exhausted. And having never fasted three

  23. days for a young man, 17 of age, you try fasting

  24. for three days and it's like a nightmare. And

  25. so I was exhausted, depleted. And in the middle

  26. of the service when the preacher came on, I fell

  27. asleep. After we were in worship and in prayer,

  28. I just fell asleep where I was. Thank God nobody

  29. woke me up. But the Spirit of God began to speak

  30. to me. Because even when your body is tired,

  31. your spirit is awake. Amen. Your spirit doesn't

  32. fall asleep. Your spirit should be awake. Amen.

  33. And that inner man has awakened you. And I heard

  34. a voice of the Lord. And I began to see some

  35. things in my dream. I thought I was dreaming.

  36. But it was the Lord speaking to me. And I believe

  37. what pastor said. That we need to be able to

  38. see and hear. Even the prophet Habakkuk said.

  39. I will position myself. In Habakkuk chapter 2.

    Habakkuk 2 chapter mention

  40. I will position myself to see what the Lord will

  41. speak to me. There is that seeing part. Of hearing

  42. the voice of the Lord. And God wants to use all

  43. of our senses. So that we can perceive. his word.

  44. And part of it is our faculties of seeing. Maybe

  45. not the eyes, the natural eye at times. Maybe

  46. it's the eyes of your understanding. Maybe it's

  47. through a dream. But God can jump into any one

  48. of our dreams whenever he wants and bring us

  49. a word of direction. Well, I fell asleep and

  50. I saw myself. Receiving instructions from the

  51. Lord. And he told me to rise from that place.

  52. Where I was asleep. And I knew I was asleep.

  53. In my dream. And he said rise from here. And

  54. go to a certain area. And he gave me directions

  55. where to go. And there was. He said I would find

  56. some people there. That were waiting for me.

  57. And that he would heal this person. Who needed

  58. healing. And that God was going to restore. Was

  59. going to heal this young man. Well I thought

  60. everybody would. be in the meeting in my own

  61. nature. I woke up out of my dream with that instruction.

  62. I looked around, and while the service was going,

  63. here I have this urgency of the Holy Spirit.

  64. Get up and do it now. I gave you this word. So

  65. I get up. I'm 17 years old for the first time.

  66. Actually hearing, I was praying and fasting for

  67. one petition. I had been filled with the Holy

  68. Ghost. Now I was praying and fasting to be able

  69. to prophesy and to have the gifts of the Spirit.

  70. I was pursuing earnestly the gifts of the Holy

  71. Ghost. And this is when my ears, I believe, got

  72. unplugged. As I heard in this dream, I heard

  73. the voice of the Lord clearly. I woke up. It

  74. spoke to me. And now I'm hearing the voice of

  75. God. While the preacher's preaching, I'm hearing

  76. God saying, get up from here and go to where

  77. I told you. So I get up, follow the instructions

  78. of the Lord, and it takes me out to the outside

  79. of that same campground. They had a freestanding

  80. chapel over this cliff. And under the chapel,

  81. there was a little prayer room that people would

  82. go to pray. And there were these metal steps

  83. that would go down to that prayer room. So I

  84. began to go down these steps. That's what he

  85. was showing me exactly in my dreams. So I saw

  86. the steps. I walked down to this place. It's

  87. my first time in this camp. And as I walk down,

  88. I hear somebody call my name out. And they said,

  89. Danny, is that you? And now I know. They couldn't

  90. see me because they were around the corner. But

  91. when they heard me, they were expecting me. Just

  92. like God told me. So I walk down and I find two

  93. young men. One cannot speak. He's a mute. The

  94. other one. Is the one talking. And I said how

  95. do you know my name? And he said last night while

  96. we were praying. God spoke to us. And spoke to

  97. this man. To this young man. And he was a mute.

  98. He couldn't talk. So he wrote my name in his

  99. Bible. And he was crying because the Lord said

  100. I'm going to heal you. I'm going to send Danny

  101. to lay hands on you. And you're going to be healed.

  102. So. He communicated that through sign language.

  103. And the young man tells me now, and he shows

  104. me the Bible with his tears that had blotted

  105. out where he had marked out my name. And so here

  106. God is speaking to somebody about me, and he's

  107. speaking to me about them. Through prayer and

  108. intercession, I had spent time in the presence

  109. of God. Now, for the first time, I'm hearing

  110. the voice of God. And now I'm there. How many

  111. of you know when you see something like that,

  112. your faith is going to get built up? I didn't

  113. need any more faith. I just said, all right,

  114. this is enough for me to fly with this. We're

  115. going to believe God for a miracle. God told

  116. me in my dream that he's going to heal you. I

  117. spoke the word. And when I laid hands on him,

  118. he immediately burst out. Sound came out of his

  119. mouth. And he began to sing. He began to sing

  120. before the Lord. His voice came back fully. And

  121. he began to sing. And words began to be articulated.

  122. Then he began to fill with the Holy Spirit. And

  123. he began to sing in the Spirit. I was blown away.

  124. This is my first time I see something like the

  125. power of God flow by the laying out of hands.

  126. And as I laid hands and I saw this explosion

  127. of a miracle in front of my eyes, I just was

  128. blown away. And that night he sang for the entire

  129. camp meeting because it was a miracle that was

  130. made public to everybody and he was healed. I

  131. thank God for miracles like that. I believe God

  132. wants to do them with every one of us. It's not

  133. just for a few. I believe he wants to quicken

  134. you. I believe that this time that you've separated

  135. into God is going to count. I believe that through

  136. intercession, we can actually bring forth miracles

  137. into the lives of people. And God can speak to

  138. us, give us directions so we can put ourselves

  139. in a position where a miracle can happen. Look

  140. at somebody and say, dare to position yourself.

  141. For the next miracle. And then. I remember. Being

  142. in a service. Years later. Pastoring now in New

  143. York City. In Harlem. Actually it was the very

  144. foundation of our church. We were in what's called

  145. Washington Heights. Upper Manhattan. We still

  146. had not gone right into Harlem. We were in the

  147. upper part of the east side of Manhattan. That's

  148. where we planted our church. And we were there,

  149. and in this old Baptist church that we rented,

  150. our church began to grow. And we were 30 and

  151. 50, and we were at a service, and I'm preaching

  152. away, and the Holy Spirit interrupted my message

  153. and said, I want you to do a prophetic act. and

  154. I had he told me exactly what to do get me instructions

  155. so I called one of the crazy young men in my

  156. church to act out what the Holy Spirit was saying

  157. I stopped the service I whispered it brought

  158. him up whispered in his ear he walked away and

  159. I didn't tell the church what was going on but

  160. I had told him to act out the part of a man breaking

  161. through the back to the doors of the sanctuary

  162. crying out how God spared his life and how God

  163. saved him from suicide So he cried, he went after,

  164. I kept preaching and everybody stayed into the

  165. word. And then a few minutes later, he interrupted

  166. my preaching, walked in, ran into the sanctuary

  167. and acted this, I believe it was a prophetic

  168. intercessory act. And so he acted out this thing.

  169. He acted it so well, we started crying. People

  170. started crying. And he fell on his knees. in

  171. front of me and I prayed for him and I then prophesied

  172. to the church this is what will begin to happen

  173. in our ministry I was prophesying about the harvest

  174. and releasing the harvest well we went on with

  175. the service people clapped we went on with the

  176. service that young man sat down and I went on

  177. ending my message all of a sudden before I could

  178. end my message the doors in the back Opened up.

  179. A man runs through. Runs right into the sanctuary

  180. screaming. I was about to jump off this building

  181. in front of this church. At a seven story building.

  182. And the Lord spoke to me. He said I heard God

  183. say go to that church right now. Don't jump.

  184. Run into that building. So he ran into the building

  185. crying out, save me. I was about to commit suicide.

  186. I need help. And he fell right on his knees in

  187. front of me just like we had acted out. The church

  188. just went in awe. One of those awe. This was

  189. a prophetic intercessory act that actually brought

  190. and broke the spirit of suicide off a man. Come

  191. on. Somebody give God a hand. That's the kind

  192. of prophetic intercession I'm talking about.

  193. It's when prophecy and intercessory and prayer

  194. come together. It can happen in worship. It can

  195. happen. Listen, I just love the atmosphere you

  196. guys create in the worship team for the presence

  197. of God. How many can thank God for great worshipers

  198. in the house of God? Come on. If that's the way

  199. you rehearse, I want to be at every rehearsal.

  200. I want to be. I'm an addict for the presence

  201. of God. So here, you know, we're... Just experiencing

  202. God. But God wants to use us and speak to us

  203. in the midst of worship, in the midst of prayer.

  204. He wants to give us instructions. And I was traveling

  205. with my wife through New York City. We were on

  206. the train. And we were heading back to our church's

  207. offices after, I believe, having a meal downtown

  208. New York City. And as we were heading back, the

  209. Lord spoke to me. I had a son of the Lord that

  210. was backslidden and had committed a tremendous

  211. sin. He was one of the leaders of our church,

  212. had fallen away, committed adultery, and he was

  213. so ashamed that he didn't want anybody to see

  214. him. And he hid away, ran off from his family,

  215. and nobody knew where he was. Well, as we were

  216. going up on this train, and we had been in prayer

  217. and fasting for him all weekend, that weekend

  218. as he disappeared, God began to speak to me.

  219. And I heard the voice of the Lord tell me where

  220. he was. So I said to my wife, you keep going

  221. to the office. I'm going to get off this train.

  222. God just told me where to find him. And I followed

  223. the directions of the Lord. I got off at the

  224. right station, walked a few blocks, and to the

  225. building that the Lord pointed out, gave me the

  226. number of the building, walked in. The Lord told

  227. me he was in his basement and that he would have

  228. a shotgun in his hand ready to commit suicide.

  229. So I got there. And when I asked for him at the

  230. front desk, they said, yes, he's downstairs,

  231. I believe. And I went downstairs and found him

  232. in this basement sitting with a shotgun in his

  233. lap, considering blowing his head off, committing

  234. suicide. But God loves people. Even after they

  235. sin, he still loves them. God doesn't change

  236. his love for us. Even when we mess up, he's the

  237. God who will go after us. He was the God who

  238. will reach out to us from the uttermost. He can

  239. save. Can you say amen? How many know he can

  240. still hear prayer? Amen. He can still save. Well,

  241. I spoke to him what God spoke to me. He was shocked

  242. to see me appear because nobody knew where he

  243. was. He said, how did you find me? Who told you?

  244. I was here. I said, the Lord just talked to me.

  245. And I gave him the word of the Lord. And I convinced

  246. him to hand me the shotgun. Not just for his

  247. sake, but my sake too. I wanted to live. So I

  248. didn't want him to get angry and shoot me. But

  249. I got ahold of his shotgun and I was able to

  250. turn his life around, bring him to repentance

  251. and bring him to a decision to come back home

  252. and make it right with God. It was powerful.

  253. And while I was there, I heard the steps coming

  254. down his metal staircase. And the Lord said,

  255. that's the woman that he committed adultery with.

  256. And I gave her the word of the Lord and she got

  257. saved. And never did that relationship ever happen.

  258. And I removed him from that place where he had

  259. any kind of connection there. And God saved that.

  260. He was a leader and became a leader again in

  261. the house of the Lord. God restored him. Listen,

  262. God wants to speak to you. Detailed information.

  263. He wants to speak to you when you're praying.

  264. Prayer is not a monologue. God wants to speak

  265. back. God wants to share with you. He wants to

  266. speak to you in your ear. He wants to open up

  267. your ear. So that you can see this. At one time

  268. corporately we're praying in our church in the

  269. morning. I'll just share this one last story.

  270. Are you okay? This one last story. We're praying

  271. and interceding. It's the beginning of our church.

  272. We're again in that wasward section of New York

  273. City. The upper east side. And we're surrounded

  274. by buildings that are inhabited by people. You

  275. know there are lots of people in every one of

  276. these buildings. Some of them 12, 15 floors,

  277. 30 floors. New York City is New York City. Like

  278. no other. the city so here God we're praying

  279. in the church for our city and all of a sudden

  280. the Lord shows me a picture of a window that's

  281. open and the curtains are flying almost in the

  282. wind but there's a candle that's lit that doesn't

  283. go out this lid candle and he says to me I want

  284. you to go and find this house I want to save

  285. a family today and you'll know it by the candle

  286. in the window So I tell everybody, my team's

  287. there. We're all interceding and praying. I said,

  288. everybody, I need your help. New York City's

  289. got a lot of windows. So we go outside. I want

  290. you to describe my vision. I said, let's go out

  291. there. I want you to find, help me find a window

  292. with a candle. I want you to look intensely.

  293. I don't care what floor it is. There's a window

  294. with a candle lit up. And the curtains, there's

  295. some white curtains flying in it. And God is

  296. going to save that family today. So we walked

  297. out in faith, looked around, praying in the spirit.

  298. Oh, God, show us where the window is. As we looked

  299. around, looked at all the buildings, we couldn't

  300. find them. Then we looked to our left, and there

  301. it was. On the fourth or third floor, there was

  302. this window open with a candle lit and the white

  303. curtains. And the Lord said, go. And we rushed,

  304. a team of us rushed through the staircase. It's

  305. like we were going to make an arrest or something.

  306. We rushed in there, arrived at the door, knocked

  307. on the door. And when we opened it, there was

  308. a man in a wheelchair that I had seen in my vision.

  309. He was sitting there and his family, they were

  310. weeping at the moment we arrived. We gave them

  311. the gospel. The Lord moved on that family and

  312. God restored a family unto himself. Can somebody

  313. give God a hand? You need to move on what you

  314. see. You need to move on what you perceive to

  315. be the word of the Lord. God still speaks with

  316. visions and dreams. It's the language of the

  317. Holy Ghost. Amen. So, get ready. Come on. Get

  318. ready to see some things you haven't seen. Get

  319. ready to hear some things you've never heard.

  320. And get ready to act upon some things by faith

  321. in the name of Jesus. Look at somebody and say,

  322. get ready. Amen. I believe that... As we stir

  323. your faith up and faith comes to you by the word

  324. of the Lord. You and I are going to see a manifestation

  325. of the presence of God. I want you to go with

  326. me to Isaiah 59. The prophet Isaiah speaks about

  327. the condition of his city. When the Lord uses

  328. him to bring a message about intercessors. Isaiah

    Isaiah 59:12–19

  329. 59 verse 12 through 19. It says our wrongdoings

  330. and I'm taking it way down. You can read a little

  331. bit more if you read the whole chapter. Our wrongdoings

  332. pile up. Verse 12. Our wrongdoings pile up. I'm

  333. reading from the message translation. Our wrongdoings

  334. pile up before you, God. Our sins stand up and

  335. accuse us. Our wrongdoings stare us down. We

  336. know in detail what we have done. Mocking and

  337. denying God. Not following our God. Spreading

  338. false rumors. Inciting sedition. Pregnant with

  339. lies. Murdering, muttering malice. Justice is

  340. beneath, is beaten back. Justice is beaten back.

  341. Righteousness is banished to the sidelines. Truth

  342. staggers down the street. Honesty is nowhere

  343. to be found. Good is missing in action. Somebody

  344. say good is missing in action. Sounds like a

  345. description of our day, doesn't it? Anyone renouncing

  346. evil is beaten and robbed. Correct this awful

  347. situation. Correct this awful situation, God.

  348. Here's a prayer of the prophet. Pray, interceding.

  349. God looked and saw evil looming on the horizon.

  350. Listen to this, verse 15. God looked and saw

  351. evil looming on the horizon. There's more evil

  352. to come. How many know? That no matter what happens

  353. as we come to the close of the age. The Bible

  354. says that men will grow even more wicked. But

  355. the holy will grow even more holy. There's going

  356. to be a great separation. And I believe God's

  357. eyes are on the future. He knows no matter what

  358. happens the kingdom of God is going to move forward.

  359. But God looked and saw evil looming on the horizon.

  360. So much evil and no sign of justice. And he couldn't

  361. believe what he saw. Not a soul around to correct

  362. this awful situation. Not a soul around to correct

  363. this awful situation. Well, the new King James

  364. says it this way when it comes to verse 16. It

  365. says, and he wondered that there was no intercessor.

  366. It's the responsibility of intercessors to correct

  367. the situation. You and I can change our world

  368. through prayer. We can change lives through prayer.

  369. We can interrupt. We can bring divine intervention.

  370. We can interrupt suicide. We can interrupt calamity.

  371. We can interrupt the hopelessness in families.

  372. We can bring change. We can bring justice back.

  373. We can restore into people's lives. And while

  374. the world is destined to grow darker and darker.

  375. I believe the church is going to shine brighter

  376. and brighter. Amen. Because of people who can

  377. pray. Because of people who will not just. be

  378. victims of change, victims of darkness, but will

  379. interrupt darkness with intercessory prayer.

  380. I wonder that there was no intercessor, nobody

  381. available. So he did it himself. He took on the

  382. work of salvation, fueled by his own righteousness.

  383. Somebody say fueled by his own righteousness.

  384. I like this language of the message Bible. He

  385. dressed in righteousness. Put it on like a suit

  386. of armor. With salvation on his head like a helmet.

  387. Put on judgment like an overcoat. And threw a

  388. cloak of passion across his shoulders. Just threw

  389. it on his shoulders and said, come on. Nobody's

  390. going to do it. I'm going to do it. And I believe

  391. this has a lot to teach us on what our responsibility

  392. is as an intercessor. Listen to it. Every intercessor

  393. is responsibly chosen from that particular verse.

  394. Nobody found no one to do it, so he took on the

  395. work. I'm going to do it. Number one, take on

  396. the work. Decide to make a difference. Come on.

  397. Can you decide to make a difference? Somebody

  398. say, I'm going to make a difference. It starts

  399. with a confession of your mouth and a commitment.

  400. I'm going to make a difference. I'm not just

  401. going to sit around and let my family be taken.

  402. I'm not going to sit around and let my city be

  403. destroyed. Come on. Somebody's going to have

  404. to do the work. Somebody say it's work. But somebody's

  405. got to do it. And then number two, arm up. Now

  406. how do you arm up for intercessory prayer? With

  407. righteousness. The Bible says that he got dressed,

  408. cloaked with righteousness. Righteousness as

  409. an armor. He put on the right motives. The right...

  410. Purity, righteousness. He got his life right.

  411. If you're going to bring answers to the world,

  412. you better have been living that answer. Amen?

  413. You've got to live. How can we preach a God that

  414. we have not experienced? How can we preach holiness

  415. if we have not experienced holiness? How can

  416. we call people out if we ourselves have not stepped

  417. out of darkness? Arm up. Look at your neighbor

  418. and say, arm up. And that speaks of warfare.

  419. In Ephesians chapter 6 verse 10 says, put on

    Ephesians 6:10

  420. the full armor of God so you can stand the wiles

  421. of the devil. Listen, our job is to stand, but

  422. you can't stand in the kingdom without the armor.

  423. So everybody say, arm up. That's what God did

  424. himself. He armed himself with righteousness.

  425. And then it says, he put on the helmet of salvation.

  426. And I believe the helmet of salvation is what

  427. guards your mind. You're focused so that you

  428. can stay focused. This is about saving lives.

  429. This is about salvation. This is not about a

  430. power play. This is not about me doing a show.

  431. This is about bringing lives out of darkness.

  432. This is about breaking the back of the enemy.

  433. This is about trampling the gates of hell. Can

  434. you say amen? Where it has to give up the souls

  435. that he has kept in captivity. The helmet of

  436. salvation. Guard your mind. I'm saved and God

  437. has saved me to save others. I'm healed so I

  438. can heal others. I'm delivered so I can deliver

  439. others. Keep your focus the right way. If you're

  440. going to intercede, make sure your focus is right.

  441. And when it says judgment like an overcoat, he

  442. put on judgment like an overcoat. That's a discerning

  443. authority. That's what judgment is. It's the

  444. ability to discern right from wrong. We've got

  445. too many people in the church, like the world,

  446. they don't want to take sides. We want to emulate

  447. the world. And the world doesn't know the secular

  448. from the sacred. It's mixing the right with the

  449. wrong. And many people in the church are doing

  450. the same thing. We're just kind of become passive.

  451. And we've actually allowed the world to teach

  452. us that we are not who to judge. We can't judge.

  453. That's not what the Bible says. The Bible says

  454. we have an authority to judge. Amen? Hello? Are

  455. you with me? There is an authority. You have

  456. to take a side. Come on. You have to be able

  457. to discern. A discerning authority has got to

  458. come on the church and intercessors can't be

  459. pansy about this. You've got to have an authority

  460. to judge a situation and attack it because you've

  461. got the right discernment. You know where the

  462. wrong is and you're going to pray correctly.

  463. Can you say amen? A discerning authority. And

  464. then I like this one. Passion across his shoulder.

  465. He threw it as a cloak of passion across his

  466. shoulder. Oh, you could have probably gone and

  467. done it without it. But he made sure he added

  468. this. That he put passion across his shoulders.

  469. Well, shoulders are a place of government. And

  470. passion needs to be in that place. It's sealed

  471. under control. You're a zealous, but you're not

  472. going to become foolish. And there's so many

  473. people in intercessory prayer that become zealous

  474. and become foolish in their intercession. Because

  475. they have no restraint. There's no governing

  476. of their emotions. They get weird. Bunch of space

  477. cadets. And that's not what we need. We need

  478. people grounded in the truth. We need people

  479. anchored in the word of God. We need people who

  480. have dominion over their emotions. Amen? God

  481. has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love,

  482. power, and of a sound mind. That soundness of

  483. mind is that dominion, a zeal under control.

  484. Yes, our emotions are involved in worship. Yes,

  485. our emotions are involved in bringing the gospel

  486. to somebody. But they have to be under control,

  487. zeal under control. Can you say amen? How many

  488. want to see a well -balanced church full of the

  489. fire of the Holy Ghost? Maybe you're going to

  490. call to do some things that are extraordinary.

  491. And the only thing between ordinary and extraordinary

  492. is that word extra. Extra, extraordinary, man.

  493. And you've got to believe God. That's where faith

  494. comes in. It puts you above what other people

  495. can do. If you can just do what others can do,

  496. then you're not extraordinary. But when you can

  497. do above, when you can move in the extraordinary

  498. power of the Holy Ghost, I believe that God wants

  499. to use you if you believe him for that kind of

  500. miracle in your life. How many would like to

  501. believe God for some extraordinary things? Come

  502. on. Extraordinary opportunities, extraordinary

  503. healings, extraordinary things going on in your

  504. life. Well, I believe God wants to do it, but

  505. that doesn't mean you just cut loose your emotions

  506. and get crazy. That means that you're going to

  507. bring zeal, passion across his shoulders. There's

  508. government in it. There's a governing factor

  509. in this passion. Are you with me? Let's go to

  510. the next slide. Prophetic intercession is joining

  511. Jesus in prayer. Because if we're going to pray,

  512. and we're talking about intercession, we need

  513. to join Jesus in what he's praying. Prophetic

  514. intercession is to join Jesus in prayer for another.

  515. Taking up their burden through intentional and

  516. directive supplication in the Holy Spirit. For

  517. someone or something until something happens.

  518. Remember what I said yesterday? Push. Somebody

  519. say push. Pray until something happens. And I

  520. believe that intercessory prayer has got to have

  521. that push, that insistency, that ringing of the

  522. bell, that constantly knocking on the door, asking

  523. God, pleading with the Lord, and pushing it to

  524. the very max until you see something happen,

  525. until the miracle is made manifest. Just because

  526. you don't see it when you first pray doesn't

  527. mean that God doesn't want to do it. God might

  528. want... Might want to use. That very manifested.

  529. Manifested miracle. To train your faith. To go

  530. for the extraordinary. Are you with me? So. We're

  531. praying with Jesus. Hebrews chapter 7. The writer

    Hebrews 7 chapter mention

  532. of Hebrews from verse 24 to 25 says. But he because

  533. he continues forever. Has an unchangeable priesthood.

  534. Therefore he also. Is also able to save. To the

  535. uttermost. Those who come to God through him.

  536. Since he always lives. Somebody say always. Since

  537. he always lives to make intercession for them.

  538. Come on. Can you give the Lord a clap offering

  539. that he's alive and well? He's sitting at the

  540. right hand of the Father. He's making intercession.

  541. He always lives. That's what he lives for. He's

  542. making intercession. Somebody asks you what is

  543. Jesus doing in heaven? He's making intercession.

  544. He is always in prayer. Always praying for the

  545. saints. I believe that as petitions go up and

  546. bombard heaven. I believe that God is beginning

  547. to pray. And he's praying. He's praying. And

  548. I believe that you and I have got to get a hold

  549. of what he's praying about. And part of intercessory

  550. prayer, prophetic intercession, is not just praying.

  551. It's praying what Jesus is praying. It's what

  552. is he praying about? What is on the heart of

  553. Jesus for that family, for that person? And begin

  554. to get the mind of God for that person. Are you

  555. with me? Come on. How many of you want to join

  556. Jesus in prayer? Oh, I thank God that you're

  557. joining each other in prayer. But I think it's

  558. going to be powerful when we all join Jesus together.

  559. And we, as one voice, begin to articulate. The

  560. will of God is. For the city. For the families.

  561. For the communities. In Romans chapter 8 verse

    Romans 8:34

  562. 34. Who is he who condemns? Is it Christ? Who

  563. died and furthermore is also risen. Who is even

  564. at the right hand of God. Who also makes intercession

  565. for us. Right now. He's making intercession for

  566. us. Look at somebody and say he's praying for

  567. you right now. When you're in trouble, he's praying.

  568. Before even you ask, he's praying. Because he

  569. knows what you're going to ask for. He's the

  570. all -knowing God. He's well ahead of us. Isaiah

  571. 62. Listen to Isaiah 62, verse 6 through 7. I

    Isaiah 62:6–7

  572. have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem.

  573. They will never be silent, day or night. You

  574. who call on the Lord, give yourself no rest.

  575. You who call on the Lord, you who intercede,

  576. give yourself no rest. The watchmen on the wall,

  577. these are intercessors. Give yourself no rest

  578. and give him no rest. Hello? Give yourself no

  579. rest and what? And give him no rest. That means

  580. you're going to continually ring the bell. You're

  581. going to continually ask. You're going to continually

  582. press into God till he establishes Jerusalem

  583. and makes her the praise of the earth. Until

  584. he does what he needs to do. Don't give yourself

  585. any rest and don't give him any rest. Continue

  586. to press into God. Lord, we need this. Lord,

  587. what is it that you want to do? Lord, and begin

  588. to ask God. Begin to connect with the mind of

  589. the Lord for intercessory prayer. Somebody say,

  590. it's work. That's right. It's going to take some

  591. work. It's not just that little moment of prayer

  592. a day. Oh, I prayed for you. And all they prayed

  593. was a few minutes. Before you were a few seconds

  594. in passing. It's that prayer that goes on. It's

  595. that insisting prayer that prays for you. It's

  596. my little daughter praying for her grandfather.

  597. Before my father was saved, he was a man who

  598. had been backslidden for many, many years. I

  599. had never even known that he was saved. But my

  600. little daughter, when she got saved at the age

  601. of three, the first thing she was concerned about,

  602. what about grandpa? Is grandpa saved? Is he going

  603. to heaven? And we said, right now, we need to

  604. pray. on herself to intercede. In the morning,

  605. waking morning, at breakfast, at lunch, at dinner,

  606. at night, she was consistent with her prayer.

  607. Save Grandpa. Save Papa. Save Papa. Move on Papa.

  608. Holy Spirit, come. She's three years old, interceding.

  609. She got filled with the Holy Spirit while doing

  610. it. Intercession. And she began to pray in the

  611. Spirit, you know, that it wasn't weeks, maybe

  612. a month or two before grandpa had a visitation

  613. from God. My father tells a story that an angel

  614. showed up. The presence of God came, woke him

  615. out of his sleep and said, get up, get dressed,

  616. you're going to church. And he got up with the

  617. fear of God, got dressed, he waited for him,

  618. escorted him to the church where he was going

  619. to get saved, walked with him. All the way to

  620. a church. The doors were open and people were

  621. praying. It was about six something in the morning.

  622. People were praying. Prayer warriors were interceding.

  623. Probably for people in that community. Probably

  624. for people like my dad. And that angel said to

  625. him, go there. Go to that altar and surrender

  626. your life to Christ. And you'll never leave.

  627. My father did so. He looked back and it was gone.

  628. That person who drove him to that place. was

  629. gone. Well, what an incredible experience when

  630. a three -year -old can begin to pray. Children

  631. have a beautiful faith to believe God. I believe

  632. that God wants to use our children, wants to

  633. teach our children early on. If you teach your

  634. children how to touch heaven like that and how

  635. to ascend to heaven and believe God through prayer

  636. that they can bring change. Listen, they'll grow

  637. up to be mighty people who will change their

  638. world. Nothing will be impossible for them. If

  639. you believe that, give the Lord a hand because

  640. I believe he's depositing something. Give yourself

  641. no rest and give yourself no rest and give him

  642. no rest till he establishes Jerusalem. Well,

  643. the message Bible reads, day and night they keep

  644. it, they keep at it. Day and night they keep

  645. at it, praying, calling out, reminding God to

  646. remember. Reminding God to remember. Look at

  647. your neighbor. Would you use this phrase? Tell

  648. him, you need to remind God to remember. Well,

  649. you would think the Almighty, he doesn't need

  650. anybody to remind him. But it's all through your

  651. Bible. Moses reminded God. Abraham reminded God.

  652. Jacob, all of the patriarchs reminded God of

  653. his goodness. Nehemiah reminded God. Daniel reminded

  654. God. When the midst of trouble in Israel, they

  655. rose up to remind God to remember. And I believe,

  656. God, we've lost that at the church. Somehow,

  657. it skipped us. But we need to get back to intercessory

  658. prayer that reminds God, Lord, remember! Remember

  659. what you said about my family. Remember the prophetic

  660. word the prophets gave me. Remember when Bob

  661. Isabel came and gave me that word. Everything

  662. looks contrary, but I want you to remember the

  663. prophets and what they spoke over my family.

  664. Come on, can you say amen? I believe God wants

  665. us to learn how to remind God to remember. Reminding

  666. God to remember. Genesis 9 verse 16. Whenever

    Genesis 9:16

  667. the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see

  668. it and remember. The everlasting covenant between

  669. God and all living creatures of every kind on

  670. the earth. God places things that he can remember.

  671. Have you ever done that in your life? Put a marker

  672. so you can remember. Put it on the refrigerator.

  673. You put a note. Put something on your hand like

  674. a ring or something. You tie your string. I've

  675. heard people trying to do things so that they

  676. don't forget. And the older you get, the better

  677. practice it is. How many walk into a room and

  678. you forget why you came into that room? I bend

  679. down and I make sure I pick up everything that

  680. I got to pick up in case I forget anything. Because

  681. I don't want to bend down again. Well, remembering.

  682. Remembering is important. It's important to God.

  683. God is not old and he hasn't grown ancient. But

  684. he is a God who expects people to rise and call

  685. him on his promises. To hold him at his word.

  686. I believe that God wants you and I in intercessory

  687. prayer to remind him to remember. Come on. Deuteronomy

    Deuteronomy 9:25–26

  688. chapter 9 verse 25 through 26. In the Message

  689. Bible, Deuteronomy 9, verse 25 through 26. When

    Deuteronomy 9:25–26

  690. I was on my face, prostrate before God those

  691. 40 days and nights after God said he would destroy

  692. you. This is Moses. I prayed to God for you.

  693. My master God, don't destroy your people, your

  694. inheritance, whom in your immense generosity

  695. you redeemed, using your enormous strength to

  696. get them out of Egypt. Moses reminded God of

  697. all of his works and what God did. And he reminded

  698. the people, I prayed for you. I made intercession.

  699. Moses would stand. Every time God wanted to destroy

  700. Israel, it was Moses and Aaron running in the

  701. midst of calamity. Running in the midst of judgment

  702. to stay the judgment of God. Well, somehow God's

  703. raising a church that will stay the judgment

  704. of God over a nation. I believe that... Nations

  705. are being judged by their acts. Because of their

  706. acts, the judgment of God will come on the nations.

  707. But the church can stand to protect the nation.

  708. I believe, I come from the little island of Puerto

  709. Rico. It faces every year, almost every year,

  710. countless storms that make their way through

  711. the Caribbean. All of you have probably seen

  712. it in the news. They're making their way right

  713. to Puerto Rico. It's been here a few times, but

  714. very few times. Because there's a church awake

  715. that have learned that they can turn a storm.

  716. around so what's been happening is our city churches

  717. are getting together in the coliseums to pray

  718. to avert disasters and every mayor of the city

  719. over 50 mayors have called for citywide prayer

  720. meetings where churches are coming together to

  721. pray something is happening in little island

  722. it might be collapsing financially but the glory

  723. of God is ready to move in And storm after storm

  724. coming announced it's going to hit the island.

  725. It's going to hit the little island. It would

  726. have destroyed the island. They averted and it

  727. turns right in front of the island. It goes around

  728. it because of a prayer seal that goes up. Somebody

  729. say intercessory prayer works. Amen. I believe

  730. you can shield your family. You can shield your

  731. city. You can shield your finances. You can shield

  732. your home. You can raise a hedge of protection.

  733. Oh. All right. This is what Moses did. He stood

  734. for the people. Verse 27 to 28, he said, Remember

  735. your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He's

  736. speaking out to God. Don't make too much of the

  737. stubbornness of this people. Think about it,

  738. Moses counseling God. They're evil in their sin.

  739. Lest the Egyptians from whom you rescued them

  740. say, God couldn't do it. He got tired and wasn't

  741. able to take them to the land he promised them.

  742. He ended up hating them and dumped. Them in the

  743. wilderness to die. Moses intercessory prayer.

  744. Was full of wisdom. And he just not. He didn't

  745. just look at the present. And I'm afraid. Our

  746. intercession. Sometimes comes to an end. Because

  747. we look. At sin. And we look at the. Wrong with

  748. people. We stop praying. We think oh man. Go

  749. ahead God. Kill them. Judge them Lord. They deserve

  750. to be judged. You know. And we stop praying.

  751. We stop protecting. And we stop believing God

  752. to do something. And it gets so bad in people's

  753. lives that somehow we just say, I'm going to

  754. stop praying. This is a waste of time. No, that's

  755. when you need to pray on. And you need to pray

  756. with the kind of wisdom that looks at the future.

  757. Don't look at the present. Look at the future.

  758. God, what are people going to say? You've already

  759. saved that man. I know he's vaccinated. He's

  760. messing up in his house. But God, he's your servant.

  761. There were prophecies. Hold up the prophetic

  762. words. Find God to remember what he said. My

  763. wife is constantly practicing this. You hear

  764. praying all throughout the house. Lord, you said.

  765. Lord, you said. Lord, you said. Whatever God

  766. says, she brings it up and says, God, this is

  767. what you said. And we've watched great victories

  768. come through that kind of intercessory prayer.

  769. Remember, intercessory prayer is not just praying

  770. without understanding. praying without wisdom.

  771. You've got to be able to look at things the way

  772. God looks at them because that's the only way

  773. God will understand what you have to say. I believe

  774. that Moses had the power to step in and talk

  775. to God in a very meek way, but he was able to

  776. convince God. What will they say? The Egyptians.

  777. What will Satan say? What will the people of

  778. this city say? Deuteronomy 9, 29. There are your

  779. people still, your inheritance, whom you powerfully

  780. and sovereignly rescued. Remind God, they're

  781. still your people. They messed up, but they're

  782. still your people. You still died for them, Lord.

  783. You still saved them. They look bad now, and

  784. I'm very frustrated counseling pastors. Listen

  785. to me, because you're going to be frustrated.

  786. I've pastored in some of the wildest communities

  787. in America, New York City, Harlem. I counseled

  788. hit men and all kinds of ugly people that were

  789. saved in my church, murderers that became deacons

  790. in my church, and people who were way off, and

  791. people had given up hope for them. But God saved

  792. them, rescued them. Transvestites of 32 years.

  793. Saved, rescued by the power of the blood of Jesus.

  794. Who today are some of the most loved elders in

  795. my church. That I left in New York City. Powerful

  796. people transform. I've watched it all over my

  797. life. God can do it. He did it with us. He can

  798. do it with anybody. Come on, they're still your

  799. people. Somebody say, they're still your people.

  800. Remind God, come, I know he knows it, but you

  801. need to stand in the gap and say, God, they're

  802. still your people. Oh, God, don't give up on

  803. them. God, rescue them. Oh, that we would be

  804. filled with the passion of God. That we would

  805. be filled that when God even decides that he

  806. wants to kill them, we would turn his heart around

  807. and spare them and another opportunity would

  808. be given to them. Sovereign God. Wow. Well, let's

  809. go to this next point. Because prophetic intercession

  810. is pleading for the life of another. How many

  811. of you know it? It's when you can plead, stand

  812. in the gap for the life of another. In Genesis

    Genesis 18 chapter mention

  813. chapter 18, the great example of Abraham praying.

  814. Praying for Sodom and Gomorrah, a wicked city.

  815. Lost in their sins. And the scripture says that

  816. God showed up to destroy that city with some

  817. of his angels. Then the men set out for Sodom.

  818. They were already on assignment. They were sent

  819. out to Sodom. Verse 22, but Abraham stood in

  820. God's path. Listen to it. You want to know what

  821. intercessory prayer is all about? It's when you

  822. dare to stand in front of God and say, God, hold

  823. on, hold on. He stood in God's path, blocking

  824. his way. Who are you? Well, the fear of God is

  825. the beginning of wisdom, but there's that place

  826. of intercessory prayer. That we can come before

  827. God with confidence and with boldness, even before

  828. the Lord. Why do we need boldness to enter into

  829. the presence of God? Have you ever thought about

  830. that? Because you're going to have to go before

  831. God and stand in the gap for people. But Abraham

  832. stood in God's path, blocking his way. Abraham

  833. confronted him. Remember when I said intercession

  834. is all about a confrontation? Our intercessory

  835. prayer is not just about confronting the powers

  836. of evil. Sometimes intercessory prayer is about

  837. confronting God and saying, God, hold on. Let

  838. me talk to you about this before you smash these

  839. people, before you destroy our city. Let me talk

  840. to you about them. And he confronted him. Are

  841. you serious? I love the Message Bible. Maybe

  842. it wasn't quite like this, but I love the way

  843. he puts it. Are you serious? Are you planning

  844. on getting rid of the good people right along

  845. with the bad? What if there are 50 decent people

  846. left in the city? Will you lump the good with

  847. the bad and get rid of the lot? Wouldn't you

  848. spare the city for the sake of those 50 innocents?

  849. I can't believe you'd do that. Kill off the good

  850. and the bad alike as if there were no difference

  851. between them. Doesn't the judge of all the earth

  852. judge with justice? Genesis 18 verse 26 through

    Genesis 18:26–28

  853. 28. God said if I find 50 decent people in the

  854. city of Sodom, I'll spare the place just for

  855. them. Now he was ready to destroy it. Now he's

  856. ready to save 50. But unlike Abraham, he kept

  857. pressing in. Kept ringing the bell. Abraham came

  858. back. Do I, a mere mortal made from a handful

  859. of dirt, dare open my mouth again to my master?

  860. What if the 50 fall short of five? Would you

  861. destroy the city because of the missing five?

  862. And he said, I won't destroy it if there are

  863. 45. Abraham keeps pressing in. Abraham spoke

  864. up again. What if you only find 40? Neither will

  865. I destroy the city for 40 of only for 40. Let

  866. me go on. He said, Master, don't be irritated

  867. with me. But what if only 30 are found? No, I

  868. won't do it if I find 30. I won't do it if I

  869. find 30. Now he's got them down. He's negotiated.

  870. When's the last time you negotiated with God?

  871. Verse 31. He pushed on. Somebody say, he pushed

  872. on. Push. Pray until something happened. He pushed

  873. on. I know I'm trying your patience, master.

  874. But what about for 20? For 20, would you do it

  875. for 20? I won't destroy it for 20. I'll change.

  876. I won't destroy the whole city. I came to destroy

  877. it, but for 20 people, if I find 20 righteous

  878. people, 20 people, I won't destroy it. He wouldn't

  879. quit. Don't get angry. And I can imagine, I can

  880. see Abraham, don't get angry, master. This is

  881. the last time. What if you only come up with

  882. 10? Just 10. I mean, 10. Started counting. I

  883. think he had lots of family in mind because that

  884. was the point of his intercession. And he took

  885. God through and negotiated for one family. What

  886. about 10? For the sake of 10, I won't destroy

  887. the city. Well, you know what happened. God destroyed

  888. the city, but God has a way. In Genesis 19, verse

    Genesis 19:29

  889. 29, it says, so when God destroyed the cities

  890. of the plain, he remembered Abraham and he brought

  891. Lot out of the catastrophe that overthrew the

  892. cities where Lot had lived. Because of the intercession

  893. of one man. God didn't change his mind. He did

  894. what he came out to do. But he saved a family

  895. because of Abraham. He what? He remembered. Somebody

  896. say he remembered Abraham. And he sent word to

  897. his angels, escort, make sure they get out. I

  898. don't care what you do, save that family. Because

  899. I've got a man who's reminding me of my covenant.

  900. I've got a man of faith. Believing for that family.

  901. When's the last time you believed for somebody.

  902. That you contended with God. And you negotiated.

  903. For their salvation. You negotiated to set them

  904. free. From a catastrophe that was impending.

  905. A judgment that was already declared. Already

  906. in action. You and I can step in. To the midst

  907. of disaster. And change it around. We can change

  908. the course of history. Prophetic intercession.

  909. Can intervene. It can change the course of history.

  910. Somebody's got to be in here. Being filled with

  911. faith through these stories. And rise up and

  912. say. I'm going to change history. I'm going to

  913. rewrite the story. I'm going to believe. I'm

  914. going to pray through until the story of this

  915. city is rewritten. The story of my church is

  916. rewritten. The story of my family is rewritten.

  917. The story of my children is rewritten. I'm not

  918. going to let the devil have them. I'm going to

  919. intercede. I'm going to stand in the gap. I'm

  920. going to press into God. I'm going to push out.

  921. Romans chapter 5 verse 2. Through whom we have

    Romans 5:2

  922. gained access by faith into his grace. In which

  923. we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the

  924. glory of God. For through him we both have access

  925. to the Father. Ephesians 2 verse 18. By one spirit.

    Ephesians 2:18

  926. Somebody say you have access. Abraham stood before

  927. God. You and I can stand before God. Ephesians

    Ephesians 3:10–12

  928. 3 verse 10 through 12. His intent was that now

  929. through the church. Somebody say through the

  930. church. The bountiful wisdom of God should be

  931. made known to the rulers and authorities and

  932. heavenly realms. According to his eternal purpose

  933. that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  934. In him and through faith in him we may approach

  935. God with freedom and confidence. The same confidence

  936. that Abraham came before God. This is in no way.

  937. Trying to teach you disrespect towards the Lord.

  938. Trying to teach you that you have been granted

  939. access. Maybe others cannot come in before the

  940. presence of God. But the blood of Jesus allows

  941. you to come in. To the very holy place. Into

  942. the very throne room of God. I believe the church.

  943. Is the one that's going to declare the manifold

  944. wisdom of God. The multi -sided wisdom of God.

  945. When people think. There's no answer. The church

  946. is going to speak an answer because it's been

  947. in the presence of God. And guess what? When

  948. it says that, they're going to show that to the

  949. principalities and powers of the air. Things

  950. angels long to see, they're longing to hear.

  951. They're longing to get revelation. I believe

  952. that the church has access into the very throne

  953. of God. Get a hold of divine information that

  954. not even the angels know. Because they're not

  955. omniscient. Only God is. But when the church

  956. hears what the omniscient God sees of the future.

  957. It can come down and begin to prophesy and speak.

  958. And out of the church come directives. The dispatch

  959. of angel forces. Angel armies are dispatched

  960. by the sound of the voice of a church. They're

  961. waiting. I believe angels are poised for battle.

  962. Just waiting for a directive from the church.

  963. A church that has not spoken but is going to

  964. speak. A church that's going to understand. that

  965. it has an authority to change history and to

  966. even command the forces of heaven to line up

  967. with the heart of God. Are you with me? That's

  968. the manifold wisdom of God. It's not just for

  969. demons to hear it. It's for the authorities and

  970. principalities of the air. Everybody falls into

  971. line. Hebrews 4 verse 16. Let us then approach

    Hebrews 4:16

  972. God's throne. Hebrews 4 verse 16. Let us then

    Hebrews 4:16

  973. approach God's throne of grace. with confidence

  974. so that we may receive mercy and find grace to

  975. help us in a time of need. Grace and help in

  976. the time of need. But you've got to approach

  977. with confidence. Well, we need intercessors that

  978. learn how to be confident in the Holy Ghost and

  979. understand what your place is. You have the right.

  980. Do you know the Bible speaks about Lucifer? It

  981. speaks about Lucifer both in Ezekiel and Isaiah

  982. 14, Ezekiel 28. You can read this. It says that

  983. he walked among the stones of fire. Speaking

  984. of the very throne room of God, he had authority.

  985. He could come in and out of the very holy place

  986. as Lucifer, the illuminated angel. But he was

  987. kicked out of heaven and he was replaced. Not

  988. with another angel, not with another archangel.

  989. but with the church. You and I can now ascend

  990. by the Spirit. We have access. We can walk among

  991. the stones of fire. We can hear the counsel of

  992. God. God, what do you think? Lord, what are you

  993. thinking? What's on your heart for this couple?

  994. What's on your heart for this person I'm counseling?

  995. Lord, as I'm praying and you're in prayer, you've

  996. ascended on high and you've heard from God. Wouldn't

  997. it be great to enter a counseling meeting with

  998. a word from God? with a directive from the Holy

  999. Spirit because you've spent time before they

1000. came into your office. You've already heard what

1001. God wants to do in their life and you can speak

1002. into their lives. Well, I believe it'd make counseling

1003. a whole lot lighter for us. And we would see

1004. people transform and change at the announcement

1005. of the will of God for their lives. Would you

1006. stand with me? Let's take a little break and

1007. we'll come back. How many are enjoying this?

1008. Are you challenged? Are you ready? To intercede.

1009. Are you ready to walk into the very throne of

1010. God with great confidence? Knowing that that's

1011. your place. You and I now can enter in to the

1012. very secret place of God. Hear the voice of the

1013. Lord. Jeremiah speaks of it as standing in the

1014. secret of God. Being able to stand in the secret

1015. of God where you hear the secrets of God. Well,

1016. I pray that God helps us. In and out, as we enter

1017. in and out, we have access by the Holy Ghost

1018. in a moment. It doesn't take long. It just takes

1019. the right attitude of prayer. It takes a faith,

1020. understanding, and the grace that has been allotted

1021. to us. We have a grace that allows us to step

1022. into the very throne room of God. Help us, Lord,

1023. during this break time, and help us to adhere

1024. to your word as we seek to change history. In

1025. Jesus' name, amen. Amen. Amen. Let's take about

  1026. a 10, 15 -minute break at max. There's still

1027. some food out there, some coffee, bathroom break,

1028. and then we'll come right back for part two of

1029. the training session this morning. We'll see

1030. you out there in just a little bit. 15 minutes

1031. at max. Thank you. Well, spending time with the

1032. Lord is key to any kind of ministry, especially

1033. the ministry of intercessors. If you can't spend

1034. time with God, if you can't find the discipline

1035. to allot some time to be with the Lord, you know,

1036. the psalmist made time. The Bible says that they

1037. prayed numerous times. Especially the psalmist

1038. would say in the morning I will seek you. Scripture

1039. says he who seeks the Lord in the morning shall

1040. find him. There's something about giving God

1041. the first fruits of your strength every morning

1042. when you get up. I encourage you to go before

1043. the Lord the moment you get up and spend time

1044. with the Lord. I want to draw your attention

1045. to Isaiah chapter 15 verse 4 through 5. Isaiah

    Isaiah 15:4–5 Isaiah 15:4–5

1046. chapter 15 verse 4 through 5. So this sovereign

1047. Lord, this is Isaiah, who's a great prophet and

1048. an intercessor. And he spent a lot of time trying

1049. to get the word of God to encourage the people

1050. of God. And before he could be that prophetic

1051. voice, he talks about how his training went.

1052. Sovereign Lord has given me a well -instructed

1053. tongue to know the word that sustains the weary.

1054. He wakens me morning by morning. He awakens my

1055. ear to listen like one being instructed. The

1056. sovereign Lord has opened my ears, and I have

1057. not been rebellious. I have not turned away.

1058. Well, here Isaiah is prophesying, and this scripture

1059. actually is a Messianic scripture. You'll read

1060. the next verse talks about the pulling of the

1061. beer and the striking. It's about Jesus. But

1062. here, there's an instruction on how God raises

1063. people to be prophetic intercessors, people who

1064. can hear the voice of God. Well, we all want

1065. to speak the right words. How many of you want

1066. to have the right words to speak to somebody?

1067. How many want to have an instructed tongue like

1068. this scripture says? Well, he boasts of this.

1069. He says, the Lord has given me a well -instructed

1070. tongue or the tongue of a disciple. Another translation

1071. says, to know the word. To know the word that

1072. sustains the weary. To have the right word to

1073. lift people up. That's the whole motivation here.

1074. To be able to speak into people's lives and encourage

1075. them. And then he goes about how to gain that

1076. instructed tongue. He says, he awakens me morning

1077. by morning. He awakens my ear to listen as one

1078. being instructed. The way to an instructed tongue

1079. is having an ear that's instructed. It's having

1080. the ear open, the ear of a disciple. People can

1081. be here and not have an open ear. You can spend

1082. the whole morning here and not have an open ear

1083. and walk away without receiving what God wants

1084. to teach you. God wants to awaken all of our

1085. ears. He wants to cause our ears to be right,

1086. ready to receive. And he wants to do it in a

1087. consistent way. I like the way that he shares

1088. it. He awakens me morning by morning. Somebody

1089. say morning by morning. Well, it's great to have

1090. an alarm to wake you up in the morning, but it's

1091. even more precious when you spend so much time

1092. with God that you hear his whisper in the middle

1093. of your sleep. That he can awaken you and say,

1094. wake up. And sometimes it's not the time you

1095. want to wake up because God... How many of you

1096. have been woken up at some ungodly time? Well,

  1097. it's really a godly time. It's God's time because

1098. he wants you to intercede, wants you to pray.

1099. I've been awakened by God to avert a disaster

1100. in my own family, to pray for my grandchildren

1101. and my children through my 43 years of listening

1102. to God and having an ear. I've watched God spending

1103. time with him, how he has awakened me, where

1104. everybody else is asleep. to awake me. Sometimes

1105. my wife and I have been awakened at the same

1106. time with the same burden to pray for people.

1107. The Holy Spirit speaks to us and we get up and

1108. we are actually hearing the voice of the Lord

1109. and we go into prayer and intercede and we know

1110. that our prayers are effective and that something

1111. is happening because he woke us up to intercede

1112. and then to pray for people and then God opens

1113. the door for us to speak to those people. That

1114. we have the right words. So before you have the

1115. right words. You got to have the right ears.

1116. You got to have open ears. The ears of a disciple.

1117. So you can have the tongue. An instructed tongue.

1118. You must have an instructed ear. It says he awakens

1119. my ear to listen like one being instructed. God

1120. wants to give you instructions. He wants to speak

1121. to you. He wants to awaken you in the morning

1122. hours. And tell you what is going to take place

1123. in the rest of your day. He might give you some

1124. details. Might even show you some faces. Might

1125. even tell you and schedule some divine appointments

1126. for your life. The sovereign Lord has opened

1127. my ears. What a powerful thing to know that God

1128. is at work opening the ears of the church. And

1129. it was Jesus who said, he who has an ear, let

1130. him hear what the spirit is saying to the church.

1131. How many know that it's the spirit of God that

1132. wants to speak into your ear? It is the Spirit

1133. of God who right now, even you might be in a

1134. conference like this on prophetic intercession,

1135. but the Holy Spirit is speaking to you some very

1136. direct things that some people have already walked

1137. up to me and says, while you were speaking, God

1138. spoke to me about doing this and doing that.

1139. And there's been a number of instructions that

1140. have gone on by the Holy Ghost outside of my

1141. notes. They're better than my notes. They're

1142. the instructions of the Holy Spirit for your

1143. life. And you do well to pay heed to them. Well,

1144. all of us want to have the right words at the

1145. right time. time. And prophetic intercession

1146. is praying in the Spirit. I want to talk to you

1147. about in this session about praying in the Spirit

1148. and praying the will of God. Prophetic intercession

1149. is praying in the Spirit. Praying in the Spirit

1150. is praying in tongues. Praying in the Spirit

1151. is praying in tongues. Let me qualify this with

1152. the word. 1 Corinthians 14 verse 2. For anyone

    1 Corinthians 14:2

1153. who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people

1154. but to God. Indeed, no one understands them.

1155. They utter mysteries by the Spirit. They utter

1156. mysteries by the Spirit. They don't speak to

1157. men. They speak to God. When you and I pray in

1158. our prayer language, we pray to God. On 1 Corinthians

    1 Corinthians 14:14–15

  1159. chapter 14, verse 14 through 15. For if I pray

1160. in a tongue, my spirit prays. If I pray in a

1161. tongue, what? My spirit prays. But my mind is

1162. unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with

1163. my spirit, but I will also pray with my understanding.

1164. I will sing with my spirit. Somebody say, sing

1165. with my spirit. So how many of you have ever

1166. sung in tongues? You need to begin to practice

1167. what the word teaches. Sing in the spirit. Sing,

1168. speak in tongues and sing in tongues in the presence

1169. of the Lord. But I will also sing with my understanding.

1170. Thank God that many of us are singing with our

1171. understanding and the church is full of singers

1172. who can sing with their understanding, sing with

1173. their language they understand. But I believe

1174. God wants to usher the church into those moments

1175. of prophetic intercession where we are actually

1176. praying in the Spirit, singing in the Spirit,

1177. and we can get lost in God as a congregation

1178. doing it in the Spirit. Well, there's a lot of

1179. teaching coming against this, people trying to

1180. extract speaking in tongues out of the church.

1181. And no longer do you see the actual speaking

1182. in tongues to the church. With the interpretation.

1183. The gift of interpretation is no longer seen.

1184. Something that needs to be restored back in our

1185. midst. It's good to prophesy. Because everybody

1186. gets edified. But if someone does speak in tongues

1187. to the church. Then there should be an interpretation.

1188. And remember that when you speak in tongues.

1189. There are mysteries. There are things hidden

1190. that God wants to reveal. So I believe that praying

1191. in the spirit. prophetic intercession. It's praying

1192. in the Spirit, praying like the Scripture says.

1193. Listen to another Scripture, Ephesians 6, verse

    Ephesians 6:17–18

1194. 17 through 18. Take the helmet of salvation and

1195. the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of

1196. God. The sword of the Spirit, which is what?

1197. The Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all

1198. occasions. Not just a little while, but on all

1199. occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.

1200. This in mind, be alert. Always keep on praying

1201. for all the Lord's people. So pray in the Spirit

1202. on all occasions. This is a command of God. This

1203. is a command from the apostles. You and I are

1204. to be a praying church. The church is to be a

1205. church that just only prays with its understanding.

1206. But that enters in to praying in the Spirit.

1207. And I so love the atmosphere that is created

1208. in this church having learned that. I'm speaking

1209. to a mature church. You walk into this place

1210. and there's people praying in the Spirit all

1211. over the place. The pastor, he's lost in the

1212. presence of God. But the altar is all about.

1213. The altar is a place where the lost get found

1214. and the found get lost. Amen? And we need to

1215. be able to enter into that presence of God and

1216. just spend time in God. And I love the meekness

1217. of your pastor. Though there are things that

1218. need to be done, he will not interrupt that move

1219. of God. He will allow, he'll be sensitive to

1220. want to wait on God. Can you give the Lord a

1221. big hand for a Holy Ghost filled pastor? Hallelujah.

1222. It's that waiting on the Lord. It's that waiting

1223. and praying in the Spirit. It's important. Many

1224. churches have walked away from this. Many churches

1225. are leaving that for the prayer room. I think

1226. it should be an expression in the local church

1227. and our gatherings. Praying in the spirit. Let

1228. the people come. Listen, the visitors will think

1229. you're strange at first. But then when you begin

1230. to pray in our understanding, wisdom will come

1231. to them. And they'll come to par. We think we

1232. need to change everything to try to make everybody

1233. comfortable. Some people need to be shocked.

1234. Some people need to be moved and shaken and understand

1235. that, hey, we live in a whole other world in

1236. the kingdom of God. This praying in the spirit

1237. is the life of the spirit. river in this house

1238. that flows out of the innermost being of people's

1239. lives. So it has this place. And Ephesians 6

1240. tells us, take up the helmet of salvation and

1241. the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of

1242. God. How many of you can intercede with the Word

1243. of God? Pray with the Word of God. Pray with

1244. the Word of God. Pray the actual literal Word

1245. of God. Begin to pray and then enter into the

1246. Spirit and begin to pray in the Spirit. 1 Corinthians

  1247. 14, again, verse 39 through 40 says, Therefore

1248. my brothers and sisters be eager to prophesy

1249. and do not forbid speaking in tongues. Don't

1250. prohibit it. Yet we have all kinds of leaders

1251. trying to take that out of the church because

1252. we want to be a friendly user church. We want

1253. to be friendly and kind. And I believe that.

1254. I believe we all need to be, you know. Everything

1255. can be done like this scripture says, but everything

1256. should be done in a fitting and orderly way.

1257. And somebody could get up and do an explanation.

1258. This is what we do in our church. We used to

1259. have brochures in our church years ago just teaching

1260. people this is what you can expect in our service.

1261. They'll be shouting. They'll be raising of hands.

1262. They'll be speaking in other tongues. And we

1263. explained that with verses. And they would read

1264. it before the service. They were greeted by ushers

1265. with those things in hand. And people kind of

1266. got prepared. Okay, this is it. We never saw

1267. anybody walk out in the midst of confusion. Actually,

1268. everybody who visited the church was touched

1269. by the power of God. And we saw them added to

1270. the house of God. We saw a tremendous harvest

1271. in a number of years. just did what the word

1272. said. Somebody say practice the word. Amen. You

1273. can never go wrong obeying God. Now God gives

1274. us wisdom and understanding and your leaders

1275. set the course in the culture of this church.

1276. But I'm here to tell you that the culture of

1277. the church is a spirit filled culture. It's a

1278. culture of praying people who pray in the spirit,

1279. intercessors. And not just a few, huh? Listen,

1280. can I encourage you to get so fanatic about this,

1281. so on fire for this, become passionate about

1282. prayer and intercessory prayer to where you become

1283. contagious? And you begin to infiltrate the church

1284. and everybody who's around who didn't come to

1285. the conference will get ignited this Sunday because

1286. there's a fire that's going to get started here.

1287. And as you rekindle that fire and you come in

1288. Sunday, you come in with a praying voice. Amen.

1289. Prayer has a voice. Let it be heard. Prayer has

1290. a voice. Let that intercession rise. I guarantee

1291. you people will begin to hear praying in this

1292. house. Pray with your understanding, but also

1293. pray in the spirit. When it's time to pray in

1294. the spirit, let's pray in the spirit. So Romans

    Romans 8:26–27

1295. chapter 8 verse 26 through 27. In the same way

1296. the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. In our

1297. weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray

1298. for. But the Spirit himself intercedes for us.

1299. Through wordless groans. And he who searches

1300. our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit. Because

1301. the Spirit intercedes for God's people. In accordance

1302. with the will of God. We need the Holy Spirit.

1303. Teaching us how to pray. Because we don't know

1304. how to pray. We don't know really. How should

1305. we pray? What should we pray? So the Holy Spirit

1306. can guide us. Make intercession for us. And even

1307. in our weakest moments. When it's that time when

1308. you can't see. You can't see clear. You're in

1309. that. where you're not feeling so strong, you're

1310. going through some trouble, well, that's a good

1311. time to pray in the Spirit. That's a good time

1312. to get around a few brethren and say, can you

1313. guys join me? I want to pray in the Spirit. I'm

1314. a little weak right now. I'm being challenged

1315. by the enemy. There's some things going on. I'm

1316. physically challenged or whatever it is that

1317. is going on. But pray in the Spirit. And as you

1318. pray in the Spirit, I believe God will bring

1319. answers to you. And there will be a refreshing

1320. that comes from the presence of the Lord. Amen?

1321. As we just allow the Holy Spirit to pour out

1322. of the church, out of us as we pray in the Spirit.

1323. I believe that he wants to pray in accordance

1324. with the will of God. And prophetic intercession

1325. is praying the will of God. Prophetic intercession

1326. is praying the will of God. It's not just prayer.

1327. It's praying what God wants you to pray about.

1328. It's praying with the Spirit, which is praying

1329. the will of God. When we pray in tongues, we

1330. pray the will of God by the Holy Spirit. which

1331. always guarantees God's answers. Prophetic intercession

1332. turns intercession into a master key. Somebody

1333. say master key. Opening that which is shut and

1334. shutting that which is open. When you can discern,

1335. wait a minute, this is not. God's will. I'm going

1336. to shut this thing down. I'm going to shut that

1337. door. But it has the power to know when you know

1338. it's the will of God, when the Holy Spirit reveals

1339. it, you can open the door through prayer. You

1340. can open the door and no man can shut it. There's

1341. an authority that comes through prophetic intercession

1342. that puts a master key in your hand. How many

1343. want to be able to close doors where nobody can

1344. open them and open doors that nobody can shut?

1345. You can do it for your family. You can do it

1346. for the church. You can do it for a city. I believe

1347. we have the power to shut things down. And we

1348. have the power to start things up. Can you say

1349. amen? And all of heaven will work with the church.

1350. So praying in the spirit. 1 John chapter 5, 14

    1 John 5 chapter mention

1351. through 15 says, This is the confidence that

1352. we have in approaching God. That if we ask anything

1353. according to his will, he hears us. And if we

1354. know that he hears us, whatever we ask. We know

1355. that we have what we ask of him. What a powerful

1356. scripture. Well, if we could just pray every

1357. time this way, according to the will of God.

1358. Well, most of the time we pray and we have no

1359. knowledge of what God's will is. We have knowledge

1360. of what our wants are, but not of the will of

1361. God. But if we could just align ourselves by

1362. the spirit in praying, praying the will of God.

1363. I believe God wants to reveal that. Sometimes

1364. you'll be praying in the spirit. The more you

1365. enter into this realm, you'll be praying over

1366. people and it will almost seem like it's a prophecy

1367. because you'll be praying their life. You'll

1368. be praying out their problem. How many of you

1369. have ever prayed for somebody and they said,

1370. how did you know I was going through that? And

1371. they didn't tell you, didn't have a chance to

1372. ask, what can I pray for? But you started praying

1373. and it was almost like the Holy Spirit was guiding

1374. you. Well, that's intercessory, prophetic intercessory

1375. prayer. It begins to reveal the very heart of

1376. the people, the problems, and it begins to reveal

1377. the heart of God. It's mixed in with the gifts.

1378. Get stirred up as you begin to pray. All of a

1379. sudden the gift of discerning comes in. And you

1380. begin to discern in the midst of your prayer.

1381. You begin to pick something up. And the word

1382. of knowledge now comes into play. And you begin

1383. to see something that was secretly hid. The issue

1384. of the problem. And then the word of wisdom comes.

1385. And you begin to pray and answer. Right there.

1386. All. It all happens in the midst of a prayer.

1387. And it's probably one of the most incredible

1388. times. That you and I can experience as we pray

1389. over people. Well the Holy Spirit wants to teach

1390. all of us. of us how to pray that way. What if

1391. the whole church got ignited with this? What

1392. if the church got mobilized into our community

1393. praying? And every time we saw an opportunity,

1394. we jumped on it. Don't let an opportunity pass

1395. you. Pray in the spirit, not just within the

1396. four walls of the church, but in the marketplace,

1397. in the school, wherever you are at. I believe

1398. that you and I can pray people out of darkness

1399. into the kingdom of light. We can pray them out

1400. of ignorance into wisdom. We can pray them out

1401. of distress into peace. We can pray them out

1402. of conflict into the great grace of God. Can

1403. you say amen? Well, I believe that God wants

1404. to do that. As we begin to pray in the Spirit,

1405. we learn how to pray the will of God. Prophetic

1406. intercession is praying the will of God. It's

1407. praying what He asked of us. It's praying in

1408. such a way that you are going to reveal the issues

1409. at hand. And people will say, God is in this

1410. place. God is speaking to you. God is for me.

1411. He knows what I'm going through. And it begins

1412. to reveal that prophetic element of prayer that

1413. sometimes is lacking. Well, we have shrunk down

1414. in our churches all over the world where even

1415. leaders don't pray anymore by the Spirit. They

1416. have to think everything through, and with their

  1417. intellect, they've replaced the Spirit's wisdom

1418. for their own wisdom. They write out all their

1419. prayers. I've been in churches where there's

1420. been a prayer written for every part of the service.

1421. And I've walked into pulpits where the pastor

1422. has prayers written down for the offering, prayer

1423. written down for everything. Nothing by the Holy

1424. Ghost. Everything is read. Most of the... places

1425. where some of the great men of God are asked

1426. to pray, in some of the high places, like in

1427. the White House, they write out their prayers.

1428. And actually, they have to be written out, some

1429. of them. Some of them are lifeless, while others

1430. are filled with inspiration of the Holy Ghost.

1431. And I believe God can use you to write a prayer

1432. to somebody. but there's something about that

1433. spontaneous inspiration of a Holy Ghost in the

1434. midst of a service when you're praying for somebody

1435. on the streets where you begin to get the mind

1436. of God. Don't let opportunity pass you. When

1437. you see somebody sick, step in and say, can I

1438. pray for you? Listen, most people will receive

1439. you. and I've watched this happen Giselle and

1440. I practice this everywhere we go on airports

1441. and restaurants everywhere we go we will pray

1442. for people and we would just say a simple prayer

1443. but in the prayer the Holy Spirit begins to move

1444. and all of this word of knowledge begins to flow

1445. and before you know it we're praying their very

1446. life and they're beginning to weep and cry and

1447. brokenness happens you've seen it God wants to

1448. do more of it come on somebody say there's more

1449. That's right. And I believe we can turn our world

1450. around as we reach them by praying according

1451. to the will of God. He hears us when we pray

1452. the will of God. Things will begin to set into

1453. motion. And what we ask, we know that we have

1454. what we ask for. Bible says that we don't receive

1455. because we've asked with the wrong motivation.

1456. But when we ask according to the will of God,

1457. we will have it. It might delay, but it's on

1458. its way. Amen? Because you've prayed the will

1459. of God. And if you can just lock into the will

1460. of God through the revelation of the Holy Spirit,

1461. I guarantee you, you're going to see miracles.

1462. You're going to see answer prayer. You're going

1463. to see things that you've been waiting for all

1464. of a sudden break loose as you begin to pray

1465. by the Spirit of God. As you begin to pray in

1466. the Spirit. Even as you pray in the Spirit, the

1467. quickening of the Holy Ghost, you might not even

1468. understand what you're uttering, but the Holy

1469. Spirit will begin to flood your mind and your

1470. soul with thoughts that the Holy Spirit wants

1471. you to have. And He will give you understanding.

1472. Somebody say, pray in the Spirit. In all occasions.

1473. Amen. You and I must be people who learn how

1474. to pray in the Spirit. Let me give you a little

1475. bit. It's what we call the seven, I call them

1476. the seven Ps of prayer. Simple, but I want to

1477. impart them to you as we come to an end of this

1478. morning. We'll have more to share about prayer

1479. tonight, but I know you want to spend your afternoon

1480. doing it, maybe going out and praying, practicing

1481. some of this on some people. But seven Ps of

1482. prayer. Praise, purpose, provision, purity, protection.

1483. and proclaiming or proclamation. I believe that

1484. everything should start with praise and intercessory

1485. prayer should start with praise. And so I love...

1486. The atmosphere that the musicians set in this

1487. place as praise begins to go up before the Lord,

1488. as we begin to magnify him and thank him out

1489. of a spirit of thanksgiving. And that purpose,

1490. now you begin to lock in to purpose. And the

1491. purpose of the service or the purpose of that

1492. moment is beginning to be revealed. That provision

1493. of God begins to come in and God begins to flood

1494. you with provision, purity, protection, priorities,

1495. and proclaiming. These are what I call the seven

1496. Ps. They're found in the Lord's Prayer. Listen

1497. to it in Matthew chapter 6. Let me have the freedom

    Matthew 6 chapter mention

1498. to apply these to Matthew chapter 6. When the

    Matthew 6 chapter mention

1499. disciples asked the Lord to teach us how to pray,

1500. He said, when you pray, pray after this manner.

1501. Therefore pray, yea. In verse 9 of Matthew 6.

1502. I put the word praise there. Our Father which

1503. art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Let it start

1504. with praise. Let it start with you magnifying

1505. the Lord. I think as we approach the throne of

1506. God every time, we need to come with a heart

1507. of thanksgiving. We live in an ungrateful generation,

1508. but the church has got to be taught to be grateful.

1509. Thank God for his mercy. How many can give the

1510. Lord a big clap offering for his grace, his mercy

1511. on your life? Our Father which art in heaven,

1512. hallowed be your name. You're magnifying him.

1513. You're praising him. And then verse 10 brings

1514. us into purpose. Thy kingdom come, thy will be

1515. done in earth as it is in heaven. The Lord taught

1516. his disciples how to pray purposefully. The purpose

1517. of God was to bring the kingdom to earth. Whatever

1518. he's done in heaven, he wants to do it on earth.

1519. Let thy kingdom come and thy will be done as

1520. it is in heaven. Let it be done in earth as it

1521. is in heaven. Well, that's the purpose of God,

1522. wanting to manifest his kingdom on earth. And

1523. I believe that's the purpose of God. You and

1524. I have got to enter in. Once we start with praise,

1525. enter in. Listen, I don't want to lock you into

1526. some order. This is not some technique that you

1527. lock in some kind of... Secret code of prayer.

1528. No, I'm talking about some things that need to

1529. be part of your prayer. You've got to lock in

1530. with purpose. Why am I praying? What's the main

1531. purpose of my intercessory prayer? Amen. And

1532. you've got to lock into that. Thy kingdom come,

1533. thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven.

1534. Well, and put that in the right priority because

1535. the kingdom comes before the will. You can't

1536. perform the will of God unless you come under

1537. his rule. But when his kingdom comes, when you

1538. come under the rule of the Lord, the king of

1539. a kingdom, then his will begins to be established.

  1540. There's a purposeful prayer. And then 11, provision.

1541. Somebody say provision. Provision. Give us this

1542. day our daily bread. It's amazing. Jesus included

1543. this right in this prayer. Provision. Because

1544. sometimes we forget to pray for the provision.

1545. We pray. For some of the things that we feel.

1546. We got purpose. But there's got to be a provision.

1547. Because purpose cannot be fulfilled without provision.

1548. You need provision. Amen. It takes money to fulfill

1549. the will of God. You need the provision of God.

1550. God pays for what he orders. But somebody's got

1551. to dare to cry out. And cry out for provision.

1552. God, give us provision. Give us this day our

1553. daily bread. And the simple prayer of Jesus is

1554. provision. How about verse 12? Purity. and forgive

1555. us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Now,

1556. here is forgiveness, purity with God, and purity

1557. with man. You've got to stand pure with God,

1558. and when you come to prayer, make sure you're

1559. cleansed. Who can ascend the hill of the Lord?

1560. He who has clean hands and a pure heart. Amen?

1561. So we've got to be able to cleanse ourselves.

1562. We've got to be able to go before the Lord. There's

1563. teaching on grace right now that says we don't

1564. even have to repent. That sinners don't have

1565. to repent and believers don't have to repent.

1566. We've already been forgiven. It doesn't matter.

1567. God's forgiven you for all the sins. Whether

1568. or not you have already been forgiven, I believe

1569. our sins have been taken on the cross of Calvary.

1570. You and I must humble ourselves and continually

1571. ask God, God, if I've offended you this day,

1572. if I've messed up, would you forgive me? Forgive

1573. me. me for trespassing. Forgive me for disobeying.

1574. Forgive me for not doing what you called me to

1575. do. How many of you know that we need to keep

1576. that humility about us? Because of his mercy

1577. we are not destroyed. Because of his grace. And

1578. live in that mercy and that grace of God. You

1579. can't separate mercy from grace. They work together

1580. in our lives. Mercy keeps us from getting what

1581. we deserve. And grace Assures. That we get what

1582. we didn't deserve. Are you with me? Mercy. And

1583. somebody say mercy and grace. Don't let. The

1584. preachers. The modern preachers of grace. Take

1585. you out of mercy and grace. You need both of

1586. these things. Purity. Somebody say purity. Because

1587. we need to be. Have pure hearts. Before God.

1588. But if we. Have not been forgiven. And we can't

1589. feel. Because. The enemy is quick. And the Bible

1590. says if your heart condemns you, God is greater

1591. than your heart. The enemy will work in condemnation

1592. to keep you from interceding. Who are you to

1593. come before God? I saw what you did. You messed

1594. up. And before you know it, he's talked you out

1595. of your time of prayer. That very thing that

1596. will strengthen you. Listen, there is a great

1597. warfare going on. And it's not just against the

1598. prophetic voice of the Lord in the church. But

1599. his main battle is against prayer. If he can

1600. just keep the church without praying. If he can

1601. just keep the church condemned and feeling that

1602. you can't approach the throne of God. That you

1603. don't, no, no, no, don't go before him. It's

1604. that spirit of Absalom. The king is busy, don't

1605. bother him. That comes into the church and dupes

1606. the church to believing that somehow God is not

1607. hearing your prayer. Listen, God hears your prayer

1608. and he's ready to answer. And you've got to come

1609. with a prayer. pure heart and say, God, enter

1610. in with that kind of humility, that brokenness,

1611. a contrite and a broken heart. God will not reject.

1612. He will receive you. Come always before the Lord

1613. with that humility that says, God, forgive us.

1614. Forgive our debts. If we've offended you in any

1615. way, forgive us. But not only that, take it a

1616. step further because it's not just purity with

1617. God. God's looking for purity with people. God

1618. wants you to have a pure heart towards people

1619. because I've watched people who hate their neighbor

1620. and want to still pray. animosity in the church

1621. they're talking bad and murmuring about people

1622. but then they want to be the intercessors as

1623. a matter of fact they use intercession as a tool

1624. to get their gossip out brethren get together

1625. let's pray oh sister so and so is pregnant and

1626. they bring out some secret thing from people's

1627. lives and they try to make it public but it's

1628. just to get the word out And God knows the motives

1629. of the heart. I think we need to be transparent.

1630. But I think we need to be careful that we have

1631. a pure heart towards another. Sometimes there's

1632. anger and there's offenses that are unresolved.

1633. And we try to pray. Listen, even for husbands,

1634. the Bible says that if you're offended at your

1635. wife, don't even think that God's going to hear

1636. your prayer. Until you get it right. Hello? Wow.

1637. I'm not going to ask for forgiveness. I'm always

1638. the one that has to ask for forgiveness. You

1639. better. And you better do it quickly if you want

1640. to be heard from God. And you better be able

1641. to forgive. If people have offended you, forgive

1642. them. Because the next scripture right after

1643. this whole passage, verse 14 is, if you don't

1644. forgive, next time you go before the Lord, God

1645. is not going to forgive you. So you have to have

1646. a pure heart. Somebody say purity. All right,

1647. let's go over them. Praise. Purpose. Provision.

1648. Purity. And verse 13 says protection. Come on,

1649. somebody say protection. And lead us not into

1650. temptation, but deliver us from evil. Lead us

1651. not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

1652. How many think that's protection? Jesus was teaching

1653. you need to pray for protection. The eyes of

1654. the Lord are running to and fro, and those who

1655. abide under the shelter of the Most High are

1656. safe. But there is a prayer of protection that

1657. we need to continually pray. I believe in that.

  1658. I'm constantly on a plane. I don't miss that

1659. prayer of protection. Lord, protect me. I'm getting

1660. on this plane. I know I'm your servant, but I

1661. don't take that for granted. I bind every force

1662. of evil. In the midst of this world full of terrorism,

1663. it will not touch my plane. I'm going to ride.

1664. With great peace. I'm going to fall asleep. And

1665. rise up at my destination. Hello. Not in heaven

1666. somewhere. But at my destination. And I believe.

1667. If I couldn't believe. For the protection of

  1668. the almighty. I wouldn't do what I'm doing. God's

1669. taking us to places. I was just talking. I was

1670. in Peru last week. With David Schreck. Is it?

1671. I think that's his last name. I might be pronouncing

1672. it wrong. But David. Freck. Freck. I'm sorry.

1673. Freck. Freck is the cartoon character. There

1674. is a difference. Freck. Yes. Out of Kansas. And

1675. he was telling me that one of his missionary

1676. trips a number of years ago, he went into India

1677. and while they were with a group of people and

1678. they were told not to evangelize out in the streets,

1679. they were in a compound and doing well, but the

1680. word got out and people, somebody brought a blind

1681. child into the meeting. They traveled for long

1682. hours to get this child there and so they had

1683. compassion and laid hands on this child just

1684. to pray. And while David laid hands on him, the

1685. child's eyes were open and he began, he saw.

1686. His eyes were healed. And forget it, that was

1687. a moment of revival. The word got out and people

1688. started flooding that church. Police had to come.

1689. Well, to make a long story short, he got arrested

1690. with the rest of the team. And for six days,

1691. they kept him. And they prayed and they were...

1692. not given any food in the quarters in a little

1693. room after being two days transported in a truck

1694. where they never even, they just kept them in

1695. a truck for two days. Then they put them in a

1696. prison. And then the officials of the city came

1697. knowing that they were missionaries from America

1698. and said, you know, we're trying to get you out

1699. and we're gonna see if we can get you out, but

1700. this might take six months to 10 years. And you

1701. gotta be ready, make yourself ready. Well, then

1702. they heard that news, they went before the Lord.

1703. And as they began to pray, God showed up in that

1704. cell. The spirit of the Lord came down and then

1705. they began to sing. And as they began to sing

1706. before the Lord, the guards started beating on

1707. the windows. The guards were guarding that cell

1708. and came close and said, where are all those

1709. people? Where did they come from? Because they

1710. heard all the voices singing. They heard a whole

1711. crowd of people singing. It was just a few missionaries.

1712. But they heard a multitude of people singing.

1713. Everybody heard it. All the guards heard it.

1714. The prisoners heard it. Everybody was talking

1715. about that whole voice. Everybody got close.

1716. The guards were questioning them with force.

1717. Where are they? Where did they go? It was just

1718. us. The Spirit of God showed up. Angels showed

1719. up. Great comfort. Presence of God came down

1720. in 24 hours. They were released from that place.

1721. And God spared their lives. Give the Lord a big

1722. hand. There's something about prophetic intercession.

1723. David said, I stepped into heaven. We had been

1724. praying for six days. But that day, it was different.

1725. That day, I just slipped into heaven. In a moment,

1726. I found myself in heaven. And the Lord spoke

1727. to me and said, stop crying. I'm going to deliver

1728. you. And when I came back to my senses, I told

1729. that word and all of them had heard the same

1730. thing from God. And so God is the God who shows

1731. up in the middle of your darkness. He'll speak

1732. to you. I believe that you and I need to pray

1733. protection. And protection will come. He's the

1734. keeper of his word and the keeper of his church.

1735. Can you say amen? Somebody say protection. Pray

1736. protection over your children. Pray protection

1737. over your church. Pray protection over your city.

1738. Pray, pray, pray. Pray protection over the families.

1739. Pray protection over the youth of this city.

1740. Pray the protection of God. Walk through the

1741. schools. Not just your school, but other schools.

1742. Walk through the universities. Walk through.

  1743. You're in a campus city where there's universities

1744. all around you. Walk through those campuses.

1745. Begin to pray. Make intercession. And begin to

1746. call out on God for protection. And watch what

1747. will happen. Lead us not into temptation, but

1748. deliver us from evil. Somebody say deliver us.

1749. Deliver us. From evil. And then priority. Somebody

1750. say priorities. Priorities. Priorities. A priority

1751. is here when he says, for thine is the kingdom

1752. and the power and the glory forever. The priority

1753. of all of our prayer is to bring a manifestation

1754. of the kingdom of God and to say to God, yours

1755. is the kingdom. The power and the glory forever.

1756. I believe you and I have got to lock in to the

1757. priority. Amen. It's not the power of the enemy

1758. that's going to be exalted in these last days.

1759. He'll show up for sure. I believe we're moving

1760. into a season of great turmoil on the face of

1761. the earth. But in the midst of it, the power

1762. and the glory. Amen? Of the kingdom of God are

1763. going to be seen. I believe that God's going

1764. to move in a spectacular way in our cities. People

1765. are going to get saved. A great harvest is going

1766. to be collected for the house of God. This church

1767. is going to be filled over and over again in

1768. the midst of trouble. God will move upon America.

1769. God's not through with America. And it's not

1770. dependent on one man being brought into the office.

1771. God knows who he's going to bring and he knows

1772. already it's set. But listen, it's dependent

1773. on prophetic intercession and people who know

1774. how to pray the will of God and begin to bring

1775. priorities into focus. And ultimately... It's

1776. that last word. It's a small word that ends the

1777. prayer that he gave. That simple prayer ends

1778. with an amen. But amen means let it be so. Amen

1779. is a proclamation. It's that ability to say God's

1780. going to do what he said. Amen. God is a keeper

1781. of his promise. Amen. Somebody say amen. Sometimes

1782. we say amen as a cliche and we don't even know

1783. that we're proclaiming that God is a keeper of

1784. his word. He says what he means and he means

1785. what he says. And we've got to be able to proclaim

1786. it. We've got to be able to back it up with an

1787. amen. We've got to be able to be assured. And

1788. say it again, amen. Somebody say praise. Purpose.

1789. Provision. Purity. Protection. Priorities. Get

1790. the priorities right. It's about his kingdom,

1791. his power, and his glory. It's what's going to

1792. make a difference. Proclamation. Proclamation.

1793. Say amen. Well, 2 Corinthians 1 verse 20 says,

    2 Corinthians 1:20

1794. For no matter how many promises God has made,

1795. they are yes in Christ. Somebody say yes. They

1796. are yes in Christ. And so through him, the amen

1797. is spoken by us to the glory of God. So through

1798. him, the amen is spoken to the glory of God.

1799. Would you stand? What promises? Have you heard

1800. from God that you have forgotten to amen? What

1801. promises do you need to go back to? Bring them

1802. up. Some of the prophetic words. Bring them to

1803. remembrance. And in prophetic intercession, what

1804. promises have you heard over the church that

1805. you can remind God to remember? And say, Lord,

1806. you said this. You said this. The prophets spoke

1807. it. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, every

1808. word is established. And many prophets have spoken

1809. the same word. We still haven't seen it come

1810. to pass. There are promises that are a lot bigger

1811. than us and they're reserved for a time of fulfillment.

1812. But you and I need to live our life with a yes.

1813. We need to live our life with an amen. We need

1814. to live our lives with a proclamation of truth

1815. that says God said it, he's going to do it. It's

1816. going to happen and dare to prophesy. Amen. Amos

1817. put it this way. If a lion roars, who will not

1818. fear? If the Lord speaks, who shall not prophesy?

1819. If God has spoken a word, you and I have got

1820. to be able to proclaim it. You and I have got

1821. to be able to repeat it. What authority. And

1822. prophetic intercession is about praying the will

1823. of God. Praying what we know has already been

1824. spoken, what's already been written, what's already

1825. been established by the mind of God. The Spirit

1826. reveals it, He brings it to remembrance, and

1827. you bring it out and proclaim it. And everyone

1828. said, Amen. I believe today as we come before

1829. the Lord, tonight we're going to gather again.

1830. We're by no means over, but I felt we needed

1831. to just go before the Lord this afternoon. I

1832. believe that some of you this afternoon will

1833. begin to touch people's lives with prayer. God

1834. will begin to give you instructions on what to

1835. do. Maybe you had your afternoon planned, but

1836. God is going to give you his plan. Let him interrupt

1837. you. It'll work out. Let him interrupt your schedule.

1838. Let him ask you to step out and be obedient to

1839. do what he tells you to do. Step out in faith.

1840. Pray in a way that you've never prayed. Do something

1841. that you've never done. Expect God to show up

1842. in a powerful way, in an extraordinary way. He

1843. will exceed all of your expectations. He will

1844. do beyond that which you've waited for. Or maybe

1845. some of the prophets have spoken some things.

1846. I believe God wants to even do more as you dare

1847. to believe. Faith in the word of God causes you

1848. to be the instrument of change in your world.

1849. And you can't intercede without faith. You can't

1850. come before the Lord with a broken down faith

1851. that just won't believe God that things will

1852. ever change. There are people who want to pray

1853. and their prayer is pitiful. We're going to die.

1854. We're all at the end of our rope. Things are

1855. really bad. Well, listen, CNN will tell you all

1856. of that. Don't learn your prayer life from the

1857. newscasters of our day. Learn it from the spirit

1858. of God. Learn what the will of God is because

1859. he knows what the right news is. And we're all

1860. about good news, not bad news. Bad news doesn't

1861. run the kingdom of God. It's good news. And it

1862. comes to intercessors who by the spirit of praying,

1863. entering into that place in heaven and are hearing

1864. the voice of God to speak contrary to the voice

1865. of men and establish the will of God. If you

1866. have been challenged to pray that way, would

1867. you just step out of your aisle and say, let's

1868. just take a few moments and spend time in his

1869. presence. Just maybe a few minutes of... Just

1870. interceding in the Spirit. Maybe you've never

1871. prayed in the Spirit. This is a good time to

1872. believe God for your prayer language and get

1873. filled with the Holy Ghost and begin to believe

1874. God for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Maybe

1875. you have some friends around you that can pray

1876. for you to get filled with the Holy Spirit. But

1877. would you come and just approach the altar in

1878. an attitude of intercession and say, Lord, here

1879. we are. I want to come. I want to learn from

1880. you. I want to learn all over again. I want to

1881. be better at this. I want to pray more than I've

1882. ever prayed. I want to be able to touch heaven.

1883. I want to hear clearly. Give me the ear of an

1884. instructor, of ears that are instructed of a

1885. disciple. Open my ears that I might hear. Open,

1886. open my ears. Awaken me. Awaken my ears, Lord,

1887. that I might hear this one instructed by you.

1888. Give me instructions. Help me. Help me to discern.

1889. Help me to be able to stand in the gap with wisdom,

1890. with understanding, with a prophetic insight.

1891. Pray with wisdom. Pray to change my city. Pray

1892. to change the course of history. Pray to change

1893. the legacy of my family. Pray to bring change.

1894. Just please, would you forget about your own

1895. language and begin to pray in the Spirit? Let's

1896. practice what the Bible says. Pray in the Spirit.

1897. Pray in the Spirit. Pray loud enough so you can

1898. hear yourself. Pray in the spirit. Some of you

1899. need to break out a spirit of timidity. Let passion

1900. overtake you in prayer. Thank you. All the apostles

1901. prayed. He said. I pray that men would pray all

1902. over the world with hands raised up to the Lord.

1903. Would you raise your hands to God and begin to

1904. pray now. Begin to ask God to move upon your

1905. city. Begin to ask God to move upon your church

1906. and your family. Upon the members of your house.

1907. Members of the family. God will put on your spirit.

1908. God will put burdens on you. Begin to pray. Pray,

1909. pray, pray in the spirit. He'll put stuff in

1910. your heart. He'll drop a word in your mind. A

1911. picture. Just begin to pray for that which you

1912. sense of the Holy Spirit. That which you perceive.

1913. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hey, Jen, would you just

1914. now just do it in a song? Put a melody to that

1915. and just sing in the spirit. I don't see what

1916. you understand. Sing in the spirit. And listen,

1917. follow your pastor. She just creates that melody.

1918. Just let it come. Let it flow like a river. It's

1919. got to be going to flow in this place. Come on.

1920. Praise for Micah. Just listen to it. Listen to

1921. it. Come on. Go ahead, Jenny. Go ahead. Let's

1922. join her. Let's join her. Come on for a little

1923. bit. Heavenly Father we thank you this morning.

1924. Lord for infusion. Lord, now let grace come.

1925. The grace of impartation. Lord, I think about

1926. your words to the Apostle Paul to the church.

1927. See that you excel in this grace also. The grace

1928. of interceding. The grace of intercession. The

1929. grace of petition. The grace of standing in the

1930. gap. The grace. Lord, of being with you and being

1931. able to talk with you, share our heart with you

1932. and use your will with us. Lord, let an elevation

1933. come to this house, to this people for the priority

1934. and the beautiful nature of prayer. Remove every

1935. form of... reproach or somehow diminished importance

1936. and let a fresh crown of glory be placed on it

1937. for the saints to wear it with honor with dignity

1938. to be able to stand and approach the king and

1939. to have what we pray be answered because we have

1940. your heart and we've spoken your words we've

1941. seen the power the proclamation, the praise,

1942. the purity. Lord, the progress that you will

1943. do in your name. Now bless these people. Lord,

1944. as we move into just a break for this afternoon,

1945. speak to us by the Spirit. Lord, as we come back

1946. tonight to engage you more in Jesus' name. Amen.

1947. Amen. We'll be back here at 6 o 'clock tonight.

1948. So go get a little lunch, maybe get a little

1949. nap, get a little prayer time in. God bless you.

  1950. We'll see you at 6 o 'clock tonight for a great

1951. finishing time in the Spirit. Amen. LifeBibleChurch
