  1. Turn to 2 Peter chapter 3 and we should take

    2 Peter 3 chapter mention

  2. off. In 2 Peter 3 verse 18, the Holy Spirit speaks

    2 Peter 3:18

  3. to us through this wonderful man of God, this

  4. apostle. And here's the word that's given to

  5. us. Grow in the grace and the knowledge of our

  6. Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory.

  7. Everybody say now and forever. Grace. That presence

  8. of God. That divine influence. That power of

  9. God. Knowledge, not information. Everybody say

  10. intimate knowledge of God. Oh, in case you didn't

  11. know, I'm African American and we talk in church.

  12. And all of you are going to be people of color

  13. tonight. And I'm going to talk to you. You're

  14. going to talk to me. We're going to talk to God.

  15. And you're going to talk to each other. Are you

  16. with me now? And as I'm teaching the word, if

  17. you hear a word and you got your neighbor beside

  18. you and you know that's a word from the Lord

  19. for them, just say, girl, you know that's for

  20. you. Are you with me? And even if you want to

  21. have a little fun, you can go, ooh, that's a

  22. good word for me. I take that right now. Now,

  23. how many of y 'all going to talk to me while

  24. I'm talking to you? Now I'm going to hold you

  25. to it now. In fact, what am I doing up there?

  26. See, this, you know, I asked pastor, I said,

  27. now, you know, because, you know, we're here

  28. to help. So I said, what you been preaching on?

  29. He said, reach. Look at somebody say, you could

  30. use some of that. And, you know, I think it's

  31. Philippians 3 .13 where the Apostle Paul says,

  32. it's one thing I do. Right? I think the Greek

  33. word they're forgetting is epilentano, I think,

  34. which means, you know, to, it's interesting.

  35. It's an interesting word because it actually

  36. means to deliberately ignore what's in your past.

  37. To intentionally leave your past behind. To purposefully,

  38. thank you, now there you go. Follow his example.

  39. To purposefully consider your past as over with.

  40. And really, when you look at this Greek word,

  41. it means that your past, whatever it happens

  42. to be back there, it's now obsolete. This is

  43. interesting. Paul says, this one thing I do.

  44. So he was very focused on it. Look at somebody

  45. say, he's talking about growing up. So if I.

  46. You know, okay, I'm starting to, okay, it's already

  47. begun, okay. The man who's always looking at

  48. his past cannot see his future. And the enemy

  49. wants you to stay in your past. Because he knows

  50. he can't keep up with you if you reach for what

  51. is before you. You know, I find things interesting.

  52. You know, you ever heard anybody say, I'm fixing

  53. to go on a consecration? Raise your hands if

  54. you, you know. Is that language that they use

  55. over here? I'm not from around here. Do they

  56. ever say, I'm fixing to go on a dedication or

  57. consecration? If they use that language, you

  58. ever heard it, raise your hands. Okay, they don't,

  59. not many of y 'all heard that. Okay, when they

  60. talk about, I'm fixing to go on a consecration,

  61. I'm fixing to make a dedication. You know, I'm

  62. fixing, it's kind of like, it's kind of like

  63. to sanctify or to set yourself apart. Y 'all

  64. use that language over here. Raise your hands.

  65. Okay. Look at somebody said, this is an interactive

  66. service. So it's funny because I think about

  67. stuff because see, if I'm, if I'm gonna, if I'm

  68. gonna. go on a consecration, if I'm gonna go

  69. on a dedication, if I'm gonna go on to a time

  70. of being set apart, I wonder if that means I'm

  71. gonna go off of it. Because anything you go on,

  72. You're going to get off. If you, John 8, if you

  73. continue in my word. Everybody say reach. If

  74. you continue in my word, you're my disciples

  75. in reality and you will know the truth and the

  76. truth will make you. The Greek word for free

  77. means exempt. Does anybody need to reach and

  78. continue in the word until what is affecting

  79. other people you are exempt from? Look at somebody

  80. say, reach your way into an exemption. Look at

  81. somebody say, he's talking about growing now.

  82. I just wonder, I wonder if sometimes we can't

  83. sleep or our sleep is disturbed not because of

  84. insomnia, but what if I was to say to you that

  85. maybe the reason your sleep is disturbed is because

  86. the Lord is seeking you. Maybe it's not insomnia.

  87. Maybe you're being awakened for a revelation

  88. that will bring an awakening. Has anybody had

  89. their sleep disturbed lately? Wave your hands

  90. and wave them. Oh, looks like we're talking awakening

  91. here. I just wonder. See, when I teach, I prophesy

  92. while I'm teaching. You know what I mean? And

  93. I like to do it with style. Look at somebody

  94. and say, it's a black thing. It's a black thing.

  95. You know, you got to prophesy with finesse. I

  96. wonder if, I wonder if, When the Holy Spirit

  97. comes upon you and you begin to feel the need

  98. to fast, if it is a signal that a previous season

  99. is coming to an end, and you're being called

  100. by the Spirit into a fast to get a new instruction

  101. that will bring you into a new season. I wonder

  102. if anybody has been feeling. I'm feeling like,

  103. you know, I need to push the plate back. Y 'all

  104. supposed to be talking to me. What happened to

  105. y 'all? Anybody been feeling that? Wave your

  106. hand unless you got a condition. We having a

  107. miracle service. Sunday night. Get somebody else

  108. to raise a hand for you, you know. How do I know

  109. I'm coming into the end of a season? I will exhaust

  110. the resources of that season. I keep a previous

  111. instruction for an old season until a new instruction

  112. comes that will usher me into a new season. Look

  113. at somebody and say, grow in the grace. Grow

  114. in the intimate knowledge of God. Well, wait

  115. a minute now. Wait a minute. Let me see if I

  116. got this right. So, you got saved. By Jesus Christ,

  117. because you had some kind of a God encounter.

  118. And when there's a divine God encounter, there

  119. is a divine impact. when there's a divine encounter,

  120. there is the revelation and the impartation of

  121. a Holy Ghost treasure. Everybody say God encounter.

  122. Supernatural impact. A God -given treasure. Everybody

  123. say grace. But after the encounter, where I get

  124. this treasure, I find myself at some point in

  125. a trial. Look at somebody and say, he's warming

  126. up now. I have this encounter with God and then

  127. I find myself in a process. Everybody say process.

  128. I really love the encounter. Not so crazy about

  129. the process. The encounter is wonderful. It's

  130. glorious. The problem with it is it's too brief.

  131. But the process, the problem with it is it's

  132. too long. If you're like me, you read the Bible,

  133. but you don't pay attention sometimes to what

  134. you read. Everybody say treasure, trial, encounter,

  135. process. You know, we read Psalm 23, the Lord

  136. is my shepherd, like it's the beginning of the

  137. psalm, not understanding that it's a conclusion

  138. written during the Feast of Tabernacles, representing

  139. the presence and the glory. The Lord is my shepherd,

  140. I shall not lie. He makes me to lie down in green

  141. pastures. He leads me beside the still waters.

  142. He be restoring, black English, he be restoring

  143. my soul. It pops out on me, sometimes I can't

  144. control it. He leads me in the path of righteousness.

  145. For his namesake. Yay. Everybody say yay. Yay?

  146. Really? About what comes next? Yay? Yes? Yes?

  147. Not yay. Because though I walk through the valley

  148. of the shadow of death, man, I want to run through

  149. that valley. Look at somebody and say, it's a

  150. valley you can't even run through. Yea, though

  151. I walk, everybody say, through the valley. You

  152. know, I can get so caught up in what I'm going

  153. through that I leave sight of who and where I'm

  154. going to. And when I lose sight of who and where

  155. I'm going to, and I get caught up and too focused

  156. on what I'm going through, I never get through.

  157. I stay someplace that I was destined to leave.

  158. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow.

  159. You ever been out and you saw a shadow and it

  160. kind of scared you a little bit? The shadow of

  161. death. I will fear no evil. Now that's very interesting.

  162. You with me? You're Roger Staff. protection,

  163. your correction. Your word, your spirit is with

  164. me. You set a table of communion before me in

  165. the presence of my enemies. Not just my enemy,

  166. but my enemies. Then you anoint my head with

  167. oil. Then my cup runs over. Okay, I want y 'all

  168. to, okay. I know what to do. I know how to handle

  169. this. Everybody say, survey says. Survey says.

  170. How many of y 'all been praying for a greater

  171. anointing? Raise your hands. Raise your hands.

  172. That's why you got enemies. You set a table before

  173. me in the presence of my enemies, and then you

  174. anoint me. Look at somebody and say, in the trial,

  175. you get a brand new anointing. Look at somebody

  176. and say, a brand new intimacy with God. A new

  177. knowledge of God. A new grace of God that you

  178. didn't have before. You're gnawing my head with

  179. it or my cup runs over. Surely, goodness and

  180. mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

  181. I'm going to be in the presence. Hmm. Everybody

  182. say treasure. Treasure. Trial. Trial. Everybody

  183. say encounter. Encounter. Process. Process. You

  184. know, what I do is I look in the Bible and I

  185. see these patterns. Let me see if you can relate

  186. to this. So Joseph is about 17 and he has a revelation

  187. of visitation and encounter. And he sees his

  188. future. Everybody say birth of a vision. Everybody

  189. say faith. And as soon as he declares what he

  190. sees. Everybody say, the process begins. The

  191. process begins. His brothers throw him into a

  192. pit. Because this brother, you know, Joseph talking

  193. about the sun, my daddy, the moon, my mama, the

  194. 11 stars, all you, my brothers, y 'all going

  195. to be bowed down to me. He goes from that to

  196. the pit. Everybody go from the treasure into

  197. the trial. From the encounter into the process.

  198. Hmm. Y 'all gonna all bow down to me. Me, me,

  199. me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. Then they

  200. Jewish. We can't make no money just throwing

  201. him in the pit. Let's sell this brother and make

  202. some money. Now, you got to understand, my pastor

  203. is Jewish, believer in Jesus. I work with Jewish

  204. people. I like how they think. I mean, they like

  205. 2 % of the population and got like 40 % of the

  206. wealth. Look at somebody and say, you could use

  207. some Jewishness. Just saying. Ain't trying to

  208. start no trouble. Just saying. So let's tell

  209. this brother to make some money. The Bible, the

  210. narrative says this. Then Joseph was brought

  211. down to Egypt. Everybody say trial. Process.

  212. Wait a minute. Everybody say birth of a vision.

  213. By revelation and visitation. And encounter.

  214. Everybody say death of a vision. Now you in the

  215. process. Encounters brief. He spends, I don't

  216. know, 10, 12, 13 years, whatever it was. It's

  217. interesting that the Lord puts him in Potiphar's

  218. house and makes him a servant. And so he's got

  219. to be bowing down. Isn't that interesting? The

  220. Lord wanted him to know what it felt like before

  221. everybody was bowing down to him. Look at somebody

  222. and say, you really bowed down in the process.

  223. Look at somebody and say, the process of pain

  224. is not the place of your presentation. Growing

  225. the grace. Intimate knowledge of God. I'm persuaded

  226. that when Joseph went through this process, He

  227. was growing in the presence of God and the power

  228. of God and the intimate knowledge of God and

  229. that he was losing me. Everybody say birth of

  230. a vision. Faith. Everybody say death of a vision.

  231. Frustration. I wonder if he ever passed through

  232. the place of fear where he feared this will be

  233. my life forever. Hmm. I remember when I was pastoring

  234. in Illinois, there was a woman, her name was

  235. Catherine, and she was really going through.

  236. So she started praying. Look at somebody and

  237. say, when you're going through, you're going

  238. to really pray. So she said, Lord, get me out

  239. of this. Lord, get me out of this. One night,

  240. the Lord comes to her in a dream, calls her by

  241. name and says, I am not going to take you out

  242. of this. I'm going to walk you through it. What's

  243. the Lord been walking you through? Pastor Brad,

  244. you know, some people don't think I'm anointed.

  245. Can I tell you why they don't think I'm anointed?

  246. Ask me why. Because they want me to pray them

  247. out of their process. I can't pray you out of

  248. your process. Look at somebody and say, you better

  249. pray your way through your process. If Jesus

  250. had an encounter with the living Father and the

  251. Holy Ghost, heaven opens, the Holy Ghost falls,

  252. and he's given a treasure, you're the son of

  253. my love, in whom I'm well pleased, and he gets,

  254. there's a divine impact of the Father, and he

  255. receives the Spirit, he's full of the Spirit,

  256. Luke 1, he's led by the Spirit, Luke 1. And he

  257. goes immediately into a trap. And he's the pattern's

  258. son. And he couldn't escape it. Look at what

  259. somebody said. And he said, follow me. You know

  260. what? At this point, I think I'll mess with you

  261. just a little bit because I can. And because

  262. y 'all not entertaining me enough. So I have

  263. to entertain myself. And I'm going to give you

  264. a scripture just for my own personal entertainment.

  265. Look at somebody say pray for him. He's just

  266. not right. First Peter chapter two. Verse 21.

  267. For to you. To this you have been called because

  268. the Messiah, the Hamashiach, suffered for you,

  269. leaving you an example that you should follow

  270. in his steps. Everybody say example. This is

  271. an interesting Greek word. Hupo gramos. Everybody

  272. say hupo gramos. Let me give you the word picture

  273. in the Greek. The word picture in the Greek is

  274. of a series of students, we'll call them disciples,

  275. and a teacher who is writing Hebrews. 22 words,

  276. right to left. And he's writing the letters of

  277. the alphabet. And each disciple is watching the

  278. teacher write the letters of the alphabet. Look

  279. at somebody that said, the disciples are watching

  280. what the teacher is doing. As the teacher writes

  281. the word. Hupo gramos means that each student,

  282. each disciple painstakingly tries to replicate

  283. and duplicate each letter of the alphabet and

  284. tries to make it exactly like his teacher. Look

  285. at somebody and say, you're called to replicate

  286. Jesus. When I put application to revelation,

  287. I replicate Jesus. And I have a Jesus life and

  288. in some way I have a Jesus. It's interesting

  289. that when Jesus receives the Spirit, he's full

  290. of the Spirit. And he's led by the Spirit. He

  291. goes immediately into process. It's very interesting

  292. what Jesus does. The first thing Jesus does is

  293. he uses his faith on his own flesh to obey the

  294. word of the Father. Not to heal the sick. Not

  295. to cast out devils. not to do wonder works. Look

  296. at somebody and say, follow in his steps. And

  297. he thinks, Joshua 1 and 8, it is written, he

  298. speaks, it is written, he sees to it that he

  299. does, it is written. James 1 .22, be a doer of

  300. the word, poetes, creative flair. Whatever you

  301. hear the word, think of creative ways to put

  302. the word of God into practice. This is what Jesus

  303. does. Jesus uses his faith on his flesh to obey

  304. the word of the Father. Jesus receives the Spirit.

  305. He's full of the Spirit. He's led by the Spirit.

  306. But Luke 4, 14 says Jesus, after that, returns

  307. into, everybody say, the power of the Spirit.

  308. Everybody say, receive the Spirit. Full of the

  309. Spirit. Led by the Spirit. Hupo gramos. Everybody

  310. say, the power of the Spirit. Now, isn't it interesting

  311. that Mark 1 says, Jesus fasted for 40 days and

  312. 40 nights and angels attended him. And Matthew

  313. says that angels attended. As if there's a relationship

  314. between angelic ministry and the power of the

  315. Spirit. So Jesus uses his faith on his flesh

  316. to obey the word of the Father. After that, you

  317. see Jesus using his faith to get answers to prayer.

  318. You see Jesus uses faith to move in the gifts

  319. of the Spirit. You see Jesus uses faith to manifest

  320. the glory. Look at somebody and say, he's the

  321. pattern son. Look at somebody and say, follow

  322. his steps. What's going on in the process? Nothing

  323. can be trusted until it's first tested. Look

  324. at somebody and say, whatever can be tested can

  325. be trusted. Now here's what Paul knew in his

  326. day when he talked about saved by fire and every

  327. man's work will be tried by fire. One of the

  328. things Paul knew is, everybody say tried by fire.

  329. When they had ceramic, the designer would put

  330. a design in it. Look at somebody and say, the

  331. ceramic piece had an encounter. But the more

  332. valuable the piece, the more often they would

  333. put it in fire so that the temporary design,

  334. when it got fired up, would become a permanent

  335. imprint. So when I have this encounter with the

  336. living God, there's an impact. But when I walk

  337. through the process successfully, thinking the

  338. word, speaking the word, doing the word, the

  339. impact becomes an imprint. With the Father's

  340. thought in mind that I am to manifest Jesus in

  341. the earth. If I get far enough in this process,

  342. when I speak the word, there is no delay. Just

  343. like the angel said and said, there'll be no

  344. more delay. In the Greek, it means time will

  345. be no longer. Look at somebody and say, when

  346. you speak the word, heaven opens and kisses earth.

  347. Everybody say, birth of a vision, faith. Death

  348. of a vision, frustration. I got saved in 72,

  349. start preaching in 74. I was a new pastor, five

  350. -year associate pastor, 20 years, been a senior

  351. pastor. I passed a pastor. It's got a network.

  352. I've been a pastor. No, no, no, I've been a leader.

  353. Let me tell you the test of leadership. It's

  354. how much frustration can you tolerate and still

  355. love God and still love people? Oh, no, no, no,

  356. no, no, no, no. I want to make some things real

  357. clear to you. Look at somebody and say, he's

  358. getting ready to make it clear. See, some trials

  359. you were born into. Some trials you related to.

  360. Some trials you married. Some trials you gave

  361. birth to. Oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh, put on your seatbelt.

  362. Come on, just play with me. Put on your seatbelt.

  363. Okay. Do you know the child that you have the

  364. most trouble with is the one most like you? The

  365. parent you had the most trouble with is the one

  366. that you most like? Look at somebody and say,

  367. you got to pray it out of you to pray it out

  368. of them. saying nothing to me. And everybody's

  369. smart enough to go, you know that was a word

  370. for you. You didn't have to do that. They just

  371. know. The brother ends up in prison, accused

  372. of a crime he didn't commit. And a butler and

  373. a baker have a dream. Everybody goes resurrection

  374. of a vision. Everybody go fulfillment. Everybody

  375. say birth of a vision. Death of a vision. Resurrection

  376. of a vision. Everybody say faith. Frustration

  377. and even fear. And fulfillment. know what I'm

  378. really doing is I'm trying to get you to see

  379. where you are. And I'm also trying to get you

  380. to see that even if you're in the death of the

  381. vision, ain't nothing wrong with you. Because

  382. you can be doing everything right and be frustrated.

  383. And frustration is the birthplace for resurrection.

  384. Everybody say process. Process. Now, you could

  385. also say it this way. Birth of a vision, faith.

  386. Death of a vision, hope. If you could see your

  387. way, hope that's seen ain't hope. When God brings

  388. Joseph out and he's second in command of Egypt,

  389. he has love. He has forgiven his brothers. Wait.

  390. He did it in the process. When he comes out and

  391. Pharaoh says, I hear you can give me revelation,

  392. his response when you go back and read the negative

  393. is, he says, the answer is not in me but God.

  394. Before he said, y 'all gonna bow down to me.

  395. Then he says, the answer is not in me but God

  396. will give you. Still with me? Now you say, why

  397. do you make us repeat? Because the father of

  398. all learning is repetition. And if I can get

  399. you to preach this message with me and I repeat

  400. it, you're going to remember it. It isn't because

  401. I don't have anything else to say. I got more

  402. to say than what we got time for. I really do.

  403. I mean, trust me. Just trust me on that. Moses

  404. is 40. He has the birth of a vision that he's

  405. called by God to be a deliverer, and he tries

  406. it on his own and fails. Look at somebody and

  407. say, failure ain't no big deal. Now, I want you

  408. to be African -American. Look at your neighbor

  409. and say, quit tripping over your failures. Now,

  410. look at your other neighbor and say, what's the

  411. big deal? Now, look at him and say, is it like

  412. it hasn't happened to you before? I need to fail

  413. so that when success comes, I know it's God.

  414. And I'm gaining wisdom by my mistakes and God

  415. is turning my mistakes into his miracles. So

  416. Moses has the birth of a vision and he had self

  417. -confidence because the Bible says in the book

  418. of Acts, he was mighty in words and acts. And

  419. then he goes into a death of a vision. Everybody

  420. say 40 years. And then he has a bush on fire.

  421. Look at somebody and say, my bush is on fire.

  422. He has the resurrection of a vision and he becomes

  423. a deliverer. Isn't it interesting? The first

  424. 40 years of his life, he's a somebody. The next

  425. 40 years, he's a nobody. The last 40 years, he's

  426. a yielded body. Isn't it interesting that God

  427. meets him on Mount Horeb, which is the place

  428. of desolation? Look at somebody and say, emptiness

  429. comes before fullness. Isn't it interesting that

  430. the trial has a way of making room for fullness?

  431. I don't know how far I should go. Ah, okay, you

  432. sure? Are any of you sure about this? Remember

  433. I told you about visitations? So Jesus appears

  434. to me. This is about 97, 98. Face to face, he

  435. tells me that he is going to take me through

  436. something. I could tell by the tone it wasn't

  437. going to be good. So I said no. No. I let him

  438. know in the clearest possible terms he communicated

  439. to me, I'm not for this. Because I know it's

  440. going to hurt. And I really like me. Everybody

  441. say God encounter. Process. Everybody say impact.

  442. Impact. Imprint. Everybody say treasure. Treasure.

  443. Trial. So I told him, no, no. I let him know.

  444. No. This is why he looks at me like this. He

  445. goes face to face. He goes by my ear and says,

  446. I quote, I'm going to do it anyway. Stands back,

  447. looks at me, and disappears. This is when I discovered

  448. that God is the Godfather. And the Holy Ghost

  449. is a hitman. And there was a contract put out

  450. on my carnality. And look at somebody saying,

  451. you can run, but you can't hide from the Holy

  452. Ghost hitman. know what I'm really saying because

  453. I shared a little bit about my background. 1%.

  454. 1 % club. I've worked with some colorful characters

  455. that you don't want to meet during the day or

  456. the night. Look at somebody and say, criminals,

  457. gangsters, killers. So, you know, anyway, this

  458. is what I heard. The Holy Ghost is a hit man.

  459. Now, I'd like to be able to tell y 'all that

  460. I said, oh, to Jesus, I surrender. I'd be lying.

  461. I'm a Gentile. I squealed like a pig all the

  462. way through to my death. This is what I found

  463. out. God does MMA. This is what I found out.

  464. God is like a sumo wrestler. He will pin you

  465. down until you say, Okay. Now I'm in the ministry,

  466. y 'all. When this happened. When I got whipped.

  467. Into submission. Because Joseph, look, Jacob

  468. didn't wrestle with the angel. The angel was

  469. wrestling with Joseph. And see, when God was

  470. done with that brother through the angel, he

  471. walked with a limp. When I got to the end of

  472. it, I was like really happy. I was full of joy.

  473. Look at somebody and say, when you get through

  474. this process, you're going to be really happy.

  475. Look at somebody and say, you're going to be

  476. full of the joy of the Lord. Look at somebody

  477. and say, squeal on. The Lord has no problem with

  478. you squealing. Look at somebody. Sooner or later,

  479. you're going to resign. Because he's got no problem

  480. saying to you, I'm going to do it anyway. Look

  481. at somebody and say, he's faithful. Everybody

  482. say birth of a vision. Death of a vision. Resurrection

  483. of a vision. You don't have to repeat now. Faith.

  484. Frustration. Fulfillment. Everybody say encounter.

  485. Everybody say process. Everybody say treasure.

  486. Trial. When you get to the end of the trial,

  487. there's a greater treasure. Why are you being

  488. processed? Because this generation is going to

  489. need to see more of God than any generation before

  490. to be converted. Jesus comes, birth of a vision.

  491. Jesus is crucified, death of a vision. Jesus

  492. is resurrected, comes back to life, the fulfillment

  493. of a vision. See, I'm thinking about this. And

  494. I'm thinking, now there are trials that God could

  495. stop, but he don't. See, there's a scripture

  496. that I have yet to live up to. I'm just honest.

  497. Like, you know, James had a brother, Jesus. He's

  498. talking this stuff. Like, count it all joy when

  499. you fall into different temptations. Look at

  500. somebody and say, you need to pray for him because

  501. he ain't there. When? Now I may have joy after,

  502. but during? Look at somebody say, you think he's

  503. talking about himself only? I can say this with

  504. great confidence, I am not alone. Count it all

  505. joy, not if you fall into different trials, but

  506. when you fall into different trials, knowing

  507. this, the trying of your faith, not your patience.

  508. People say, you're trying to patience. Look at

  509. somebody saying, ain't you patience? Look at

  510. somebody saying, it's your faith. Trying of your

  511. faith works patience. Patience have its full

  512. effect that you may be complete and mature, lacking

  513. nothing, which means prior to the trial, there's

  514. something I'm lacking. If any man lack wisdom.

  515. So Joseph got a wisdom through his trial that

  516. he needed. to save Egypt and the sons of Israel.

  517. Look at somebody and say, you're getting some

  518. wisdom in this trial that's going to save others.

  519. Okay. How, now listen to me, how do I get through

  520. the trial? I get through the trial by waiting.

  521. How do you overcome sin? Waiting. Every trial

  522. has a time limit. All I have to do is wait. Every

  523. temptation has a time limit. All I got to do

  524. is wait. Time is the poison to the trial. Temptation

  525. isn't always there. It comes and it goes. All

  526. I got to do is wait. They that wait upon the

  527. Lord. Previous to that, it says the Lord isn't

  528. weary. He doesn't faint. And then you wait and

  529. you exchange your weakness for his strength.

  530. And then it says you're going to mount up like

  531. with wings like an eagle. You're going to run

  532. and not be weary. You're going to walk. So while

  533. I'm waiting, I'm. getting an imprint. As many

  534. as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the

  535. mature sons of God. What is Jesus like? Well,

  536. he's like me. Because I'm like him. And then

  537. in the ministry of Jesus, there was no delay.

  538. Isn't this interesting? He waits to get to the

  539. place of no delay. Here's the thing. The Lord

  540. always gives you a butler, a baker, and a pharaoh

  541. to help you get into destiny because people are

  542. your escorts into destiny. A butler is somebody

  543. that God gives you to open up the door for you.

  544. It may be a door of foresight. a door of insight.

  545. It may be a door of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

  546. It may be a door of revelation. It may be a door

  547. of motivation. Say, Father, I thank you for my

  548. butler. Then the Lord always gives you a cupbearer.

  549. He always gives you a baker, somebody to care

  550. for you. to protect you, to save you from hurt,

  551. harm, and danger. Somebody who helps put things

  552. together for you. Look at somebody that's kind

  553. of humbling. And then he always gives you a Pharaoh,

  554. somebody in a position of power to help you step

  555. into what the Father always destined for you.

  556. So what's going on here? First of all, I have

  557. this problem. So now, why do I have this problem?

  558. Because I'm supposed to grow in the grace and

  559. the intimate knowledge of God. So how can I know

  560. the Father and Jesus more intimately? Oh, the

  561. problem. Look at somebody and say, the problem

  562. is design. So you know Jesus more intimately.

  563. Okay, let me say it to you another way. When

  564. they discovered there was oil in the ocean, somebody

  565. said, how can we mine the wealth? Somebody said,

  566. let's build a platform. Say it, let's build a

  567. platform. That's how they got the treasure out

  568. of the darkness. The problem or problems you

  569. are facing, are the platform that enables you,

  570. by your intimate knowledge of God, walking through

  571. the problem to be able to reach people. Because

  572. if you never had a problem, I won't even let

  573. you talk to me. No, no, no. You platform your

  574. ministry based upon the problems that Jesus has

  575. brought you through. Successfully, you platform

  576. your ministry based upon where God has brought

  577. you from. You platform your ministry based upon

  578. what Jesus has saved you from, healed you from,

  579. delivered you from. You platform your ministry

  580. based upon where Jesus has been in your life

  581. more than a conqueror and an overcomer. Still

  582. with me? Are you all right? You're not overwhelmed,

  583. are you? Okay, good, good, good, good, because

  584. that means I can go on. Okay, let me ask this

  585. question. How many of you used to drink alcohol,

  586. but because of Jesus, you don't drink alcohol

  587. anymore? Stand to your feet. Stand to your feet.

  588. Stand to your feet. You've been sitting for a

  589. while anyway. Stand to your feet. Because of

  590. Jesus, you don't drink no more. Let's give these

  591. folks a big hand clap. Look around the room.

  592. Every day you don't drink, you're a walking miracle.

  593. How many of y 'all used to get high, but because

  594. of Jesus, you don't get high no more? Stand to

  595. your feet. Stand to your feet. Jesus, the miracle

  596. worker. How many of y 'all used to smoke cigarettes?

  597. Don't smoke cigarettes no more because of Jesus.

  598. Stand to your feet. Stand up, stand up. Have

  599. a sit down. How many of you, you ain't dealt

  600. no drugs, you ain't sold no drugs since Jesus

  601. come in your life? Stand to your feet. Come on,

  602. give God a praise. Now, let me really take you

  603. somewhere. How many of y 'all ain't robbed nobody

  604. since you came to Jesus? Let me stand up on that

  605. one. Let's give them a big hand clap. How many

  606. of you have been tempted to do any of those things,

  607. but because you waited, you overcame it? Raise

  608. your hands. Okay. Everybody say problem. So you

  609. get a promise from God. You can be exempt. You

  610. can be free. The power of your testimony because

  611. of what Jesus has done. Everybody say, problem.

  612. Promise. Everybody say, provision. Everybody

  613. say, prosperity. Now I'm moving toward my close.

  614. Have you ever noticed that preacher's minutes

  615. are always longer than regular minutes? Whenever

  616. the Lord is getting ready to provide, there's

  617. always one or more of five things that happen.

  618. He gives you a person. There's a place. There's

  619. a revelation or an idea. There's a thing and

  620. there's an act. Everybody say a person. A place.

  621. A revelation. A thing. Or an act. Now, the reason

  622. the Lord walks us through this. It's because

  623. in this, we are growing in the grace and the

  624. intimate knowledge of Jesus. And he's teaching

  625. me how he's going to work in and actually through

  626. me so I can minister his grace, his presence

  627. and his power to others and bring them into this

  628. intimate knowledge of Jesus. Let me show you

  629. this. This will make you think. You know, Adam

  630. hasn't even sinned yet, and the Lord says to

  631. him, it ain't good for the brother to be alone.

  632. I want a woman to look at a man and say, even

  633. before sin, you needed help. Now look at him

  634. and smile and say, heaven knows you need help

  635. now. The brother had a problem. God had a promise.

  636. Let us make man a helpmeet for him. Provision.

  637. Watch this. The Lord puts the man to sleep and

  638. has the answer inside of him and brings it out

  639. and presents it to him. Look at somebody and

  640. say, the revelation's already in you. Christ

  641. in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1 .27,

  642. Galatians 2 .20, Christ lives in me. Interesting.

  643. Everybody say provision. Prosperity. Interesting.

  644. When Moses in Exodus 3 is getting ready to be

  645. the deliverer of the sons of Israel, he gets

  646. called by God and the Lord says, what's in your

  647. hand? He didn't know that what was in his hand

  648. was going to destroy demonic thrones, dominions,

  649. principalities, and powers. Look at somebody

  650. and say, it takes a revelation and a visitation

  651. for you to find out what's already in you and

  652. God has already put in your hand. The sons of

  653. the prophets, one of them died and had a wife

  654. and she was left in debt. And she goes to the

  655. senior prophet and says, you know, they get ready

  656. to take away my sons. I'm getting ready to be

  657. destitute. Here was the prophet's question. What

  658. do you have in your house? Her first response

  659. is, I have nothing in my house. And then she

  660. thinks for a minute and says, wait a minute,

  661. I have a pot of oil. Look at somebody and say,

  662. what's in you? What's in your hand? What's already

  663. in your house? She didn't even know. All she

  664. was waiting for was a revelation and an instruction

  665. that she followed. So whenever God's getting

  666. ready to do the miraculous, he gives you an instruction.

  667. And when you follow that instruction, you see

  668. the manifestation of the miraculous. 5 ,000 men

  669. plus women and children, 4 ,000 men plus women

  670. and children. Where are we going to get bread

  671. to feed all these people? Wrong question. Jesus

  672. says, what is here already? Look at somebody

  673. and say, the miracle answer is close by. It wasn't

  674. a lad. It wasn't a boy. Person, place. Turn eastward

  675. back to antiquity, 1 Kings 17. Go to the brook

  676. Cherith. I commanded the ravens to feed you there.

  677. It's interesting. God will always meet you in

  678. the place he told you to be. Jeremiah, I don't

  679. care if you're a prophet. I'm not talking to

  680. you anymore until you get to the potter's house.

  681. I will speak to you there. Ezekiel, I know you

  682. saw the Merkaba. I know you saw the moving throne

  683. of God, the four living creatures and the glory

  684. of God and the man on fire from his loins down

  685. and up. But you better get to the plain because

  686. the glory of God, you're going to experience

  687. it there. Place. Elijah, get to Zarephath. I've

  688. commanded a widow woman to sustain you. Everybody

  689. say. their place. Idea. Open up the windows of

  690. heaven. Bring the tithes and the offerings into

  691. the house. See if I will not open up the windows

  692. of heaven. What's a window? It's something you

  693. see your way out of and into. See, what we do

  694. is you know, this is what we think. We think

  695. I pay my tithes and my offerings, I should prosper.

  696. Okay. But there's a word, there's an idea, there's

  697. a revelation that's coming out of heaven where

  698. God's going to tell you what to do. I was telling

  699. the pastor, the meeting I wish I would have been

  700. in. Look at somebody saying, water is supposed

  701. to be free. The meeting I... wanted to be in

  702. was when these guys got together and said, I

  703. know what we should do. We should sell what's

  704. free. Everybody say, sell water. I know what

  705. we'll call it. Smart water. Spring water. Look

  706. at somebody. Somebody made millions. and maybe

  707. billions off of water? Really? You are one idea,

  708. revelation away. See, let me tell you what our

  709. problem is. Look at somebody say, that good looking

  710. preacher says you got a problem. Here's what

  711. we do. We make noise and we go home. Oh, no,

  712. no, no, no, no. I want to worship God through

  713. my worship, inventions, ideas, come out of heaven

  714. into the atmosphere of the earth, and I want

  715. to catch them. Because when they come out of

  716. heaven, they're in the earth, and anybody who

  717. pays attention to what's in the spiritual realm,

  718. saint or sinner, can't pick it up. Oh, let me

  719. help you. George Washington Carver. I don't know

  720. if you knew this. He was saved. Did you know

  721. he would read the Bible, bring up a notebook,

  722. pray in the spirit, and God would... George Washington

  723. Carver said, Lord, show me the secrets of the

  724. universe. God says, little man, you're too small

  725. for the secrets of the universe. I'm going to

  726. show you 72 to 100 ways. I can't remember if

  727. it was 72 or 100, of how you can utilize the

  728. peanut. He came up with a tire for Ford. God

  729. gave him revelation about plastic, oil. They

  730. invited him to the White House. They talked with

  731. him about agriculture. They invited him to Congress

  732. to talk about tariffs. A black man in that day,

  733. look at somebody saying, it don't matter what

  734. color you are when you got the Holy Ghost. In

  735. England, they gave him a rarity for anybody.

  736. God would talk to this man. Idea. Okay. Thing.

  737. Act. God can tell you to do something. I'll share

  738. this and then I'm going to come to a close because

  739. somebody said we got barbecue. doing this church

  740. service. And this woman dies. It was a husband

  741. and wife pastor, Richard. He's since gone on

  742. to be with Jesus. And Donzella, she's been saved

  743. by 60 years. The woman is clinically dead. No

  744. breath, no pulse. Now most folk would call, you

  745. know, initiate CPR, call 911. Not Donzella. She's

  746. been saved 60 years. Call them for what? We have

  747. a church. So she calls the whole church to pray.

  748. I'm there to do a revival. I'm just innocent.

  749. So they prayed for her. Sister girl dead. Look

  750. at somebody that said dead. So Don Zeller walks

  751. up to me and says, will you pray for my sister?

  752. Like I got something else to do right about now.

  753. So I want to see if she's really dead. Y 'all

  754. think I'm playing. I am serious as eternal life.

  755. So yeah, ain't no pulse. Yeah, ain't no breath.

  756. She dead. You know, I'm qualified to know if

  757. they dead. That's for sure. Yeah, she dead. So

  758. anyway, so I'm wondering. Look at somebody and

  759. say, when you don't know what to do, ask Jesus.

  760. So I figured, here I am. So I said, what do I

  761. do? He said, stand over the body. So I stood

  762. over the body. He says, say, Satan, the Lord

  763. God rebuke you. So I obeyed. Then he said, put

  764. your hand on her body so that whatever calls

  765. her to die is healed. So I did that. Then the

  766. Lord says this to me, because, you know, I'm

  767. a little prophetic, so we have, you know. Prophetic

  768. people are not normal. So the Lord actually says

  769. this to me. He says, you don't even know the

  770. woman's name. Find out what her name is. God

  771. didn't know the woman. So I said, what's this

  772. woman's name? They said, Ida. The Lord says,

  773. tell Ida to get up. So I says, Ida, get up. When

  774. I say, Ida, get up, her stomach goes. Look at

  775. somebody and say, this is a good sign. So, then

  776. she started breathing. Then she gets up. I think

  777. we started in the morning. I think we got done

  778. in that service about what, Deborah, was that

  779. five or six? And I think the next service started

  780. at seven. This is when I learned. One of the

  781. patterns for miracles is. Somebody or some people

  782. cry out to God. Exodus 2, Exodus 3, somebody

  783. hears God. Exodus 3 and following, somebody obeys

  784. God. Exodus 3 and following, the miracle happens.

  785. Look at somebody and say, you don't need the

  786. power until you need it. And for me, you know,

  787. that's like number five. I've seen five people

  788. raised to life. Every single time was a different

  789. way. Because look at somebody and say, because

  790. you got to hear and obey. Okay, closing. Problem.

  791. Promise. Provision and prosperity. Okay, let's

  792. review. Everybody saying counter. Process. Treasure.

  793. Trial. Impact. Imprint. Birth of a vision. Death

  794. of a vision. Resurrection of a vision. Faith.

  795. Fear and frustration. Fulfillment. Everybody

  796. say, now abides three things. Faith. Hope. Love.

  797. Yeah, give Jesus a big hand clap. So now I'm

  798. looking at this thing. And I'm looking at it

  799. and I'm going, okay, I've got to be processed.

  800. Because here's what I have learned. I have learned

  801. if I can wait and walk with Jesus through the

  802. process, When I come out the other side, to some

  803. degree more, I will grow in the grace and the

  804. intimate knowledge of my Lord and Savior, Jesus

  805. Christ. If I can wait and walk with Jesus through

  806. the process, when I come out, I will move in

  807. some power of the Spirit I had not known. moved

  808. in before. If I can wait and walk with Jesus

  809. through the process, I will see God manifest

  810. himself in the now. And I'm not just talking

  811. about in church. I'm talking about in the restaurant.

  812. I'm talking about in the mall. I'm talking about

  813. in the street. I'm talking about in the drug

  814. treatment facility. I'm talking about with the

  815. criminals. Some of the most exciting miracles

  816. I've seen are with people who have been shot.

  817. I'm like excited if somebody's got a bullet.

  818. I remember one guy, he'd been shot in the leg,

  819. had it for 30 years, and the bullet dissolved.

  820. Bullet in the knee dissolves. Bullet in the ankle

  821. dissolves. I remember a guy from Mexico. He worked

  822. for one of the cartels, and his job was to bury

  823. the bodies that they had killed. Law enforcement

  824. comes on him, charges him with mercy. He was

  825. not a killer. They throw him in jail forever.

  826. He gets saved. Somebody says to him, if you ask

  827. the Lord, he'll get you out. Whoever the president

  828. of Mexico has three names come before him, this

  829. is one of the guys. So he comes to San Antonio

  830. to work with a Pastor Luis who, you know, works

  831. with people like this. The guy's got part of

  832. his stomach is rubber. A number of people in

  833. pastor's church had metal. And the metal disappears

  834. and dissolves. I mean, I've seen God do some

  835. stuff like, there was a guy, he was shot in the

  836. chest, had fragments. They thought they were

  837. going to have to amputate his arm. His last two

  838. fingers were artificial. The fragments in his

  839. chest disappeared, been in pain 10 years. His

  840. last two fingers that were artificial become

  841. real fingers and he can move them. I mean, we,

  842. this is when you know it's crazy. When you go

  843. through security because of the metal and it

  844. goes off, God dissolves the metal and you go

  845. through security and it don't go off. Look at

  846. somebody say, it speaks for itself. So I'll share

  847. this part. Now I'm going to, I'm trying to close.

  848. This is what's crazy. Sometimes God will dissolve

  849. the metal, turn it into bone. Sometimes God will

  850. make the metal act like bone. So I'm doing this

  851. meeting. And this woman had metal from here to

  852. here, so she couldn't do this. And she's in pain.

  853. The pain disappears. She still feels the metal,

  854. but it don't hurt. She does this. Don't hurt.

  855. Guy comes out of the congregation. He says, that's

  856. a miracle. I said, really? Yeah. I said, how

  857. do you know? Because he says, I'm a doctor. That's

  858. my patient. And it's impossible for her to do

  859. this. So I'm in Arkansas. A woman has an arm

  860. four inches short. It grows out. She has metal

  861. from here to here. This arm is a different color.

  862. African -American, and the arm changes color.

  863. Her metal disappears, becomes bone. In that same

  864. set of meetings, a woman who had cancer. This

  865. is the only time I've ever seen God this. He

  866. left the growth but took the cancer out for the

  867. doctor. They both had the same doctor. When the

  868. doctor examines this woman, the metal's gone,

  869. and it's bone. The doctor comes to see me. Oh,

  870. no, no, no, no, no, no. You ain't heard the best

  871. part. So we're doing a healing service. So I

  872. have her examine people before I pray. like to

  873. mess with the doctors. Because I've had doctors

  874. examine people, pray for them, and then God does

  875. a miracle, and now what you going to do? This

  876. doctor said, you have made a believer out of

  877. me. That's what she said to the pastor. I wonder

  878. if it had anything to do with that trial that

  879. I went through. Now, so I can take you some places

  880. that will make your head spin. I ministered to

  881. a woman in Branson who had a glass eye that God

  882. turned it into a real eye and she saw out of

  883. it. Look at somebody and say, God, he can do

  884. what he want to do. And see, I ain't got nothing

  885. to do with it. I was ministering in New York.

  886. There was a radiologist. He had a neck fusion.

  887. But it didn't hurt. And I said, I'm only going

  888. to pray for people with metal if it hurts. He

  889. says, it don't hurt. So I says to him, I ain't

  890. praying for you. As soon as I said that, God

  891. healed him. He had full mobility. Look at somebody

  892. and say, God don't even listen to the preacher.

  893. No, no, no. I'm praying for a woman. She got

  894. a growth on her leg. How many of you ever had

  895. those days where your faith, you misplaced it

  896. and you can't find it? Let me be the first to

  897. raise my hand. I was having one of them days.

  898. She got growth. This big. I gave her a courtesy

  899. prayer. That means I don't believe nothing's

  900. going to happen. Oh, I trust me. I know I'm not

  901. by myself. So I pray for this woman and she starts

  902. yelling and her growth explodes and disappears

  903. and she's healed. Well, I remember when I wasn't

  904. saved. You know, I had something called acid.

  905. And you can have flashbacks. I thought I was

  906. having a flashback, y 'all. Because that growth

  907. exploded and just went nowhere. Gone. Look at

  908. somebody say he's God. If he wants to do it,

  909. he will. See, some people, well, what if they

  910. don't get healed? Jesus said to his apostles,

  911. I sent you to reap where others have sowed. You've

  912. entered into their labors. When you pray for

  913. somebody, they don't get healed. You just sowed

  914. for their healing. Prayers don't have a shelf

  915. life. Look at somebody say they stayed before

  916. the throne. So you can get prayed for by ten

  917. people. Nine of them, it looks like nothing happened,

  918. but the tenth, look at somebody and say, they

  919. reap where others have sown. Look at somebody

  920. and say, just love people. Pray for them. You

  921. may be the one who sows. You may be the one this

  922. time who reaps. I'm making sense to you. But

  923. let me say this to you. As We get closer to the

  924. end of the age and we're getting there. You're

  925. going to see more and more miracles now. Look

  926. at somebody and say, I'm looking for miracles

  927. right now. Stand to your feet. I want you To

  928. know this, the Lord is faithful. He's just not

  929. taking you through a process for you. He's taking

  930. you through a process to those he's going to

  931. send you to. And you're going to be able to say,

  932. listen, let me tell you what I've been through.

  933. And they're going to connect with you. And you

  934. will have grown in certain areas of the grace

  935. and the intimate knowledge of God. Where you're

  936. going to be able to release the kingdom, the

  937. power, and the glory. Here and now. Look at somebody

  938. and say, it's yours. And let me say this, because

  939. I have to say this. My ego is not attached to

  940. this. If somebody gets healed, I don't take the

  941. credit. If they don't get healed, I don't take

  942. the blame. It's not my success or my failure.

  943. My job is to love God and love people. Look at

  944. somebody and say, get over yourself. We're going

  945. to spend a few minutes in prayer. Here's what

  946. I want you to know. The Lord has confidence in

  947. you. even if you don't have confidence in yourself.

  948. And some of us are getting ready to find out

  949. just how much confidence God actually has in

  950. you. Look at somebody and say, he chose you.

  951. So that means he saw something. Simon, Greek,

  952. unstable as water, sinks towards lower level.

  953. can get hot, angry, vaporize, can be cold as

  954. ice. And Jesus says to him, they call you Simon

  955. now, but you're going to be as strong and as

  956. solid as a rock. You just keep watching. If you
