Turn to 2 Peter chapter 3 and we should take
2 Peter 3 chapter mention
-
off. In 2 Peter 3 verse 18, the Holy Spirit speaks
-
to us through this wonderful man of God, this
-
apostle. And here's the word that's given to
-
us. Grow in the grace and the knowledge of our
-
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory.
-
Everybody say now and forever. Grace. That presence
-
of God. That divine influence. That power of
-
God. Knowledge, not information. Everybody say
-
intimate knowledge of God. Oh, in case you didn't
-
know, I'm African American and we talk in church.
-
And all of you are going to be people of color
-
tonight. And I'm going to talk to you. You're
-
going to talk to me. We're going to talk to God.
-
And you're going to talk to each other. Are you
-
with me now? And as I'm teaching the word, if
-
you hear a word and you got your neighbor beside
-
you and you know that's a word from the Lord
-
for them, just say, girl, you know that's for
-
you. Are you with me? And even if you want to
-
have a little fun, you can go, ooh, that's a
-
good word for me. I take that right now. Now,
-
how many of y 'all going to talk to me while
-
I'm talking to you? Now I'm going to hold you
-
to it now. In fact, what am I doing up there?
-
See, this, you know, I asked pastor, I said,
-
now, you know, because, you know, we're here
-
to help. So I said, what you been preaching on?
-
He said, reach. Look at somebody say, you could
-
use some of that. And, you know, I think it's
-
Philippians 3 .13 where the Apostle Paul says,
-
it's one thing I do. Right? I think the Greek
-
word they're forgetting is epilentano, I think,
-
which means, you know, to, it's interesting.
-
It's an interesting word because it actually
-
means to deliberately ignore what's in your past.
-
To intentionally leave your past behind. To purposefully,
-
thank you, now there you go. Follow his example.
-
To purposefully consider your past as over with.
-
And really, when you look at this Greek word,
-
it means that your past, whatever it happens
-
to be back there, it's now obsolete. This is
-
interesting. Paul says, this one thing I do.
-
So he was very focused on it. Look at somebody
-
say, he's talking about growing up. So if I.
-
You know, okay, I'm starting to, okay, it's already
-
begun, okay. The man who's always looking at
-
his past cannot see his future. And the enemy
-
wants you to stay in your past. Because he knows
-
he can't keep up with you if you reach for what
-
is before you. You know, I find things interesting.
-
You know, you ever heard anybody say, I'm fixing
-
to go on a consecration? Raise your hands if
-
you, you know. Is that language that they use
-
over here? I'm not from around here. Do they
-
ever say, I'm fixing to go on a dedication or
-
consecration? If they use that language, you
-
ever heard it, raise your hands. Okay, they don't,
-
not many of y 'all heard that. Okay, when they
-
talk about, I'm fixing to go on a consecration,
-
I'm fixing to make a dedication. You know, I'm
-
fixing, it's kind of like, it's kind of like
-
to sanctify or to set yourself apart. Y 'all
-
use that language over here. Raise your hands.
-
Okay. Look at somebody said, this is an interactive
-
service. So it's funny because I think about
-
stuff because see, if I'm, if I'm gonna, if I'm
-
gonna. go on a consecration, if I'm gonna go
-
on a dedication, if I'm gonna go on to a time
-
of being set apart, I wonder if that means I'm
-
gonna go off of it. Because anything you go on,
-
You're going to get off. If you, John 8, if you
-
continue in my word. Everybody say reach. If
-
you continue in my word, you're my disciples
-
in reality and you will know the truth and the
-
truth will make you. The Greek word for free
-
means exempt. Does anybody need to reach and
-
continue in the word until what is affecting
-
other people you are exempt from? Look at somebody
-
say, reach your way into an exemption. Look at
-
somebody say, he's talking about growing now.
-
I just wonder, I wonder if sometimes we can't
-
sleep or our sleep is disturbed not because of
-
insomnia, but what if I was to say to you that
-
maybe the reason your sleep is disturbed is because
-
the Lord is seeking you. Maybe it's not insomnia.
-
Maybe you're being awakened for a revelation
-
that will bring an awakening. Has anybody had
-
their sleep disturbed lately? Wave your hands
-
and wave them. Oh, looks like we're talking awakening
-
here. I just wonder. See, when I teach, I prophesy
-
while I'm teaching. You know what I mean? And
-
I like to do it with style. Look at somebody
-
and say, it's a black thing. It's a black thing.
-
You know, you got to prophesy with finesse. I
-
wonder if, I wonder if, When the Holy Spirit
-
comes upon you and you begin to feel the need
-
to fast, if it is a signal that a previous season
-
is coming to an end, and you're being called
-
by the Spirit into a fast to get a new instruction
-
that will bring you into a new season. I wonder
-
if anybody has been feeling. I'm feeling like,
-
you know, I need to push the plate back. Y 'all
-
supposed to be talking to me. What happened to
-
y 'all? Anybody been feeling that? Wave your
-
hand unless you got a condition. We having a
-
miracle service. Sunday night. Get somebody else
-
to raise a hand for you, you know. How do I know
-
I'm coming into the end of a season? I will exhaust
-
the resources of that season. I keep a previous
-
instruction for an old season until a new instruction
-
comes that will usher me into a new season. Look
-
at somebody and say, grow in the grace. Grow
-
in the intimate knowledge of God. Well, wait
-
a minute now. Wait a minute. Let me see if I
-
got this right. So, you got saved. By Jesus Christ,
-
because you had some kind of a God encounter.
-
And when there's a divine God encounter, there
-
is a divine impact. when there's a divine encounter,
-
there is the revelation and the impartation of
-
a Holy Ghost treasure. Everybody say God encounter.
-
Supernatural impact. A God -given treasure. Everybody
-
say grace. But after the encounter, where I get
-
this treasure, I find myself at some point in
-
a trial. Look at somebody and say, he's warming
-
up now. I have this encounter with God and then
-
I find myself in a process. Everybody say process.
-
I really love the encounter. Not so crazy about
-
the process. The encounter is wonderful. It's
-
glorious. The problem with it is it's too brief.
-
But the process, the problem with it is it's
-
too long. If you're like me, you read the Bible,
-
but you don't pay attention sometimes to what
-
you read. Everybody say treasure, trial, encounter,
-
process. You know, we read Psalm 23, the Lord
-
is my shepherd, like it's the beginning of the
-
psalm, not understanding that it's a conclusion
-
written during the Feast of Tabernacles, representing
-
the presence and the glory. The Lord is my shepherd,
-
I shall not lie. He makes me to lie down in green
-
pastures. He leads me beside the still waters.
-
He be restoring, black English, he be restoring
-
my soul. It pops out on me, sometimes I can't
-
control it. He leads me in the path of righteousness.
-
For his namesake. Yay. Everybody say yay. Yay?
-
Really? About what comes next? Yay? Yes? Yes?
-
Not yay. Because though I walk through the valley
-
of the shadow of death, man, I want to run through
-
that valley. Look at somebody and say, it's a
-
valley you can't even run through. Yea, though
-
I walk, everybody say, through the valley. You
-
know, I can get so caught up in what I'm going
-
through that I leave sight of who and where I'm
-
going to. And when I lose sight of who and where
-
I'm going to, and I get caught up and too focused
-
on what I'm going through, I never get through.
-
I stay someplace that I was destined to leave.
-
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow.
-
You ever been out and you saw a shadow and it
-
kind of scared you a little bit? The shadow of
-
death. I will fear no evil. Now that's very interesting.
-
You with me? You're Roger Staff. protection,
-
your correction. Your word, your spirit is with
-
me. You set a table of communion before me in
-
the presence of my enemies. Not just my enemy,
-
but my enemies. Then you anoint my head with
-
oil. Then my cup runs over. Okay, I want y 'all
-
to, okay. I know what to do. I know how to handle
-
this. Everybody say, survey says. Survey says.
-
How many of y 'all been praying for a greater
-
anointing? Raise your hands. Raise your hands.
-
That's why you got enemies. You set a table before
-
me in the presence of my enemies, and then you
-
anoint me. Look at somebody and say, in the trial,
-
you get a brand new anointing. Look at somebody
-
and say, a brand new intimacy with God. A new
-
knowledge of God. A new grace of God that you
-
didn't have before. You're gnawing my head with
-
it or my cup runs over. Surely, goodness and
-
mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
-
I'm going to be in the presence. Hmm. Everybody
-
say treasure. Treasure. Trial. Trial. Everybody
-
say encounter. Encounter. Process. Process. You
-
know, what I do is I look in the Bible and I
-
see these patterns. Let me see if you can relate
-
to this. So Joseph is about 17 and he has a revelation
-
of visitation and encounter. And he sees his
-
future. Everybody say birth of a vision. Everybody
-
say faith. And as soon as he declares what he
-
sees. Everybody say, the process begins. The
-
process begins. His brothers throw him into a
-
pit. Because this brother, you know, Joseph talking
-
about the sun, my daddy, the moon, my mama, the
-
11 stars, all you, my brothers, y 'all going
-
to be bowed down to me. He goes from that to
-
the pit. Everybody go from the treasure into
-
the trial. From the encounter into the process.
-
Hmm. Y 'all gonna all bow down to me. Me, me,
-
me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, me. Then they
-
Jewish. We can't make no money just throwing
-
him in the pit. Let's sell this brother and make
-
some money. Now, you got to understand, my pastor
-
is Jewish, believer in Jesus. I work with Jewish
-
people. I like how they think. I mean, they like
-
2 % of the population and got like 40 % of the
-
wealth. Look at somebody and say, you could use
-
some Jewishness. Just saying. Ain't trying to
-
start no trouble. Just saying. So let's tell
-
this brother to make some money. The Bible, the
-
narrative says this. Then Joseph was brought
-
down to Egypt. Everybody say trial. Process.
-
Wait a minute. Everybody say birth of a vision.
-
By revelation and visitation. And encounter.
-
Everybody say death of a vision. Now you in the
-
process. Encounters brief. He spends, I don't
-
know, 10, 12, 13 years, whatever it was. It's
-
interesting that the Lord puts him in Potiphar's
-
house and makes him a servant. And so he's got
-
to be bowing down. Isn't that interesting? The
-
Lord wanted him to know what it felt like before
-
everybody was bowing down to him. Look at somebody
-
and say, you really bowed down in the process.
-
Look at somebody and say, the process of pain
-
is not the place of your presentation. Growing
-
the grace. Intimate knowledge of God. I'm persuaded
-
that when Joseph went through this process, He
-
was growing in the presence of God and the power
-
of God and the intimate knowledge of God and
-
that he was losing me. Everybody say birth of
-
a vision. Faith. Everybody say death of a vision.
-
Frustration. I wonder if he ever passed through
-
the place of fear where he feared this will be
-
my life forever. Hmm. I remember when I was pastoring
-
in Illinois, there was a woman, her name was
-
Catherine, and she was really going through.
-
So she started praying. Look at somebody and
-
say, when you're going through, you're going
-
to really pray. So she said, Lord, get me out
-
of this. Lord, get me out of this. One night,
-
the Lord comes to her in a dream, calls her by
-
name and says, I am not going to take you out
-
of this. I'm going to walk you through it. What's
-
the Lord been walking you through? Pastor Brad,
-
you know, some people don't think I'm anointed.
-
Can I tell you why they don't think I'm anointed?
-
Ask me why. Because they want me to pray them
-
out of their process. I can't pray you out of
-
your process. Look at somebody and say, you better
-
pray your way through your process. If Jesus
-
had an encounter with the living Father and the
-
Holy Ghost, heaven opens, the Holy Ghost falls,
-
and he's given a treasure, you're the son of
-
my love, in whom I'm well pleased, and he gets,
-
there's a divine impact of the Father, and he
-
receives the Spirit, he's full of the Spirit,
-
Luke 1, he's led by the Spirit, Luke 1. And he
-
goes immediately into a trap. And he's the pattern's
-
son. And he couldn't escape it. Look at what
-
somebody said. And he said, follow me. You know
-
what? At this point, I think I'll mess with you
-
just a little bit because I can. And because
-
y 'all not entertaining me enough. So I have
-
to entertain myself. And I'm going to give you
-
a scripture just for my own personal entertainment.
-
Look at somebody say pray for him. He's just
-
not right. First Peter chapter two. Verse 21.
-
For to you. To this you have been called because
-
the Messiah, the Hamashiach, suffered for you,
-
leaving you an example that you should follow
-
in his steps. Everybody say example. This is
-
an interesting Greek word. Hupo gramos. Everybody
-
say hupo gramos. Let me give you the word picture
-
in the Greek. The word picture in the Greek is
-
of a series of students, we'll call them disciples,
-
and a teacher who is writing Hebrews. 22 words,
-
right to left. And he's writing the letters of
-
the alphabet. And each disciple is watching the
-
teacher write the letters of the alphabet. Look
-
at somebody that said, the disciples are watching
-
what the teacher is doing. As the teacher writes
-
the word. Hupo gramos means that each student,
-
each disciple painstakingly tries to replicate
-
and duplicate each letter of the alphabet and
-
tries to make it exactly like his teacher. Look
-
at somebody and say, you're called to replicate
-
Jesus. When I put application to revelation,
-
I replicate Jesus. And I have a Jesus life and
-
in some way I have a Jesus. It's interesting
-
that when Jesus receives the Spirit, he's full
-
of the Spirit. And he's led by the Spirit. He
-
goes immediately into process. It's very interesting
-
what Jesus does. The first thing Jesus does is
-
he uses his faith on his own flesh to obey the
-
word of the Father. Not to heal the sick. Not
-
to cast out devils. not to do wonder works. Look
-
at somebody and say, follow in his steps. And
-
he thinks, Joshua 1 and 8, it is written, he
-
speaks, it is written, he sees to it that he
-
does, it is written. James 1 .22, be a doer of
-
the word, poetes, creative flair. Whatever you
-
hear the word, think of creative ways to put
-
the word of God into practice. This is what Jesus
-
does. Jesus uses his faith on his flesh to obey
-
the word of the Father. Jesus receives the Spirit.
-
He's full of the Spirit. He's led by the Spirit.
-
But Luke 4, 14 says Jesus, after that, returns
-
into, everybody say, the power of the Spirit.
-
Everybody say, receive the Spirit. Full of the
-
Spirit. Led by the Spirit. Hupo gramos. Everybody
-
say, the power of the Spirit. Now, isn't it interesting
-
that Mark 1 says, Jesus fasted for 40 days and
-
40 nights and angels attended him. And Matthew
-
says that angels attended. As if there's a relationship
-
between angelic ministry and the power of the
-
Spirit. So Jesus uses his faith on his flesh
-
to obey the word of the Father. After that, you
-
see Jesus using his faith to get answers to prayer.
-
You see Jesus uses faith to move in the gifts
-
of the Spirit. You see Jesus uses faith to manifest
-
the glory. Look at somebody and say, he's the
-
pattern son. Look at somebody and say, follow
-
his steps. What's going on in the process? Nothing
-
can be trusted until it's first tested. Look
-
at somebody and say, whatever can be tested can
-
be trusted. Now here's what Paul knew in his
-
day when he talked about saved by fire and every
-
man's work will be tried by fire. One of the
-
things Paul knew is, everybody say tried by fire.
-
When they had ceramic, the designer would put
-
a design in it. Look at somebody and say, the
-
ceramic piece had an encounter. But the more
-
valuable the piece, the more often they would
-
put it in fire so that the temporary design,
-
when it got fired up, would become a permanent
-
imprint. So when I have this encounter with the
-
living God, there's an impact. But when I walk
-
through the process successfully, thinking the
-
word, speaking the word, doing the word, the
-
impact becomes an imprint. With the Father's
-
thought in mind that I am to manifest Jesus in
-
the earth. If I get far enough in this process,
-
when I speak the word, there is no delay. Just
-
like the angel said and said, there'll be no
-
more delay. In the Greek, it means time will
-
be no longer. Look at somebody and say, when
-
you speak the word, heaven opens and kisses earth.
-
Everybody say, birth of a vision, faith. Death
-
of a vision, frustration. I got saved in 72,
-
start preaching in 74. I was a new pastor, five
-
-year associate pastor, 20 years, been a senior
-
pastor. I passed a pastor. It's got a network.
-
I've been a pastor. No, no, no, I've been a leader.
-
Let me tell you the test of leadership. It's
-
how much frustration can you tolerate and still
-
love God and still love people? Oh, no, no, no,
-
no, no, no, no. I want to make some things real
-
clear to you. Look at somebody and say, he's
-
getting ready to make it clear. See, some trials
-
you were born into. Some trials you related to.
-
Some trials you married. Some trials you gave
-
birth to. Oh, oh, oh. Oh, oh, put on your seatbelt.
-
Come on, just play with me. Put on your seatbelt.
-
Okay. Do you know the child that you have the
-
most trouble with is the one most like you? The
-
parent you had the most trouble with is the one
-
that you most like? Look at somebody and say,
-
you got to pray it out of you to pray it out
-
of them. saying nothing to me. And everybody's
-
smart enough to go, you know that was a word
-
for you. You didn't have to do that. They just
-
know. The brother ends up in prison, accused
-
of a crime he didn't commit. And a butler and
-
a baker have a dream. Everybody goes resurrection
-
of a vision. Everybody go fulfillment. Everybody
-
say birth of a vision. Death of a vision. Resurrection
-
of a vision. Everybody say faith. Frustration
-
and even fear. And fulfillment. know what I'm
-
really doing is I'm trying to get you to see
-
where you are. And I'm also trying to get you
-
to see that even if you're in the death of the
-
vision, ain't nothing wrong with you. Because
-
you can be doing everything right and be frustrated.
-
And frustration is the birthplace for resurrection.
-
Everybody say process. Process. Now, you could
-
also say it this way. Birth of a vision, faith.
-
Death of a vision, hope. If you could see your
-
way, hope that's seen ain't hope. When God brings
-
Joseph out and he's second in command of Egypt,
-
he has love. He has forgiven his brothers. Wait.
-
He did it in the process. When he comes out and
-
Pharaoh says, I hear you can give me revelation,
-
his response when you go back and read the negative
-
is, he says, the answer is not in me but God.
-
Before he said, y 'all gonna bow down to me.
-
Then he says, the answer is not in me but God
-
will give you. Still with me? Now you say, why
-
do you make us repeat? Because the father of
-
all learning is repetition. And if I can get
-
you to preach this message with me and I repeat
-
it, you're going to remember it. It isn't because
-
I don't have anything else to say. I got more
-
to say than what we got time for. I really do.
-
I mean, trust me. Just trust me on that. Moses
-
is 40. He has the birth of a vision that he's
-
called by God to be a deliverer, and he tries
-
it on his own and fails. Look at somebody and
-
say, failure ain't no big deal. Now, I want you
-
to be African -American. Look at your neighbor
-
and say, quit tripping over your failures. Now,
-
look at your other neighbor and say, what's the
-
big deal? Now, look at him and say, is it like
-
it hasn't happened to you before? I need to fail
-
so that when success comes, I know it's God.
-
And I'm gaining wisdom by my mistakes and God
-
is turning my mistakes into his miracles. So
-
Moses has the birth of a vision and he had self
-
-confidence because the Bible says in the book
-
of Acts, he was mighty in words and acts. And
-
then he goes into a death of a vision. Everybody
-
say 40 years. And then he has a bush on fire.
-
Look at somebody and say, my bush is on fire.
-
He has the resurrection of a vision and he becomes
-
a deliverer. Isn't it interesting? The first
-
40 years of his life, he's a somebody. The next
-
40 years, he's a nobody. The last 40 years, he's
-
a yielded body. Isn't it interesting that God
-
meets him on Mount Horeb, which is the place
-
of desolation? Look at somebody and say, emptiness
-
comes before fullness. Isn't it interesting that
-
the trial has a way of making room for fullness?
-
I don't know how far I should go. Ah, okay, you
-
sure? Are any of you sure about this? Remember
-
I told you about visitations? So Jesus appears
-
to me. This is about 97, 98. Face to face, he
-
tells me that he is going to take me through
-
something. I could tell by the tone it wasn't
-
going to be good. So I said no. No. I let him
-
know in the clearest possible terms he communicated
-
to me, I'm not for this. Because I know it's
-
going to hurt. And I really like me. Everybody
-
say God encounter. Process. Everybody say impact.
-
Impact. Imprint. Everybody say treasure. Treasure.
-
Trial. So I told him, no, no. I let him know.
-
No. This is why he looks at me like this. He
-
goes face to face. He goes by my ear and says,
-
I quote, I'm going to do it anyway. Stands back,
-
looks at me, and disappears. This is when I discovered
-
that God is the Godfather. And the Holy Ghost
-
is a hitman. And there was a contract put out
-
on my carnality. And look at somebody saying,
-
you can run, but you can't hide from the Holy
-
Ghost hitman. know what I'm really saying because
-
I shared a little bit about my background. 1%.
-
1 % club. I've worked with some colorful characters
-
that you don't want to meet during the day or
-
the night. Look at somebody and say, criminals,
-
gangsters, killers. So, you know, anyway, this
-
is what I heard. The Holy Ghost is a hit man.
-
Now, I'd like to be able to tell y 'all that
-
I said, oh, to Jesus, I surrender. I'd be lying.
-
I'm a Gentile. I squealed like a pig all the
-
way through to my death. This is what I found
-
out. God does MMA. This is what I found out.
-
God is like a sumo wrestler. He will pin you
-
down until you say, Okay. Now I'm in the ministry,
-
y 'all. When this happened. When I got whipped.
-
Into submission. Because Joseph, look, Jacob
-
didn't wrestle with the angel. The angel was
-
wrestling with Joseph. And see, when God was
-
done with that brother through the angel, he
-
walked with a limp. When I got to the end of
-
it, I was like really happy. I was full of joy.
-
Look at somebody and say, when you get through
-
this process, you're going to be really happy.
-
Look at somebody and say, you're going to be
-
full of the joy of the Lord. Look at somebody
-
and say, squeal on. The Lord has no problem with
-
you squealing. Look at somebody. Sooner or later,
-
you're going to resign. Because he's got no problem
-
saying to you, I'm going to do it anyway. Look
-
at somebody and say, he's faithful. Everybody
-
say birth of a vision. Death of a vision. Resurrection
-
of a vision. You don't have to repeat now. Faith.
-
Frustration. Fulfillment. Everybody say encounter.
-
Everybody say process. Everybody say treasure.
-
Trial. When you get to the end of the trial,
-
there's a greater treasure. Why are you being
-
processed? Because this generation is going to
-
need to see more of God than any generation before
-
to be converted. Jesus comes, birth of a vision.
-
Jesus is crucified, death of a vision. Jesus
-
is resurrected, comes back to life, the fulfillment
-
of a vision. See, I'm thinking about this. And
-
I'm thinking, now there are trials that God could
-
stop, but he don't. See, there's a scripture
-
that I have yet to live up to. I'm just honest.
-
Like, you know, James had a brother, Jesus. He's
-
talking this stuff. Like, count it all joy when
-
you fall into different temptations. Look at
-
somebody and say, you need to pray for him because
-
he ain't there. When? Now I may have joy after,
-
but during? Look at somebody say, you think he's
-
talking about himself only? I can say this with
-
great confidence, I am not alone. Count it all
-
joy, not if you fall into different trials, but
-
when you fall into different trials, knowing
-
this, the trying of your faith, not your patience.
-
People say, you're trying to patience. Look at
-
somebody saying, ain't you patience? Look at
-
somebody saying, it's your faith. Trying of your
-
faith works patience. Patience have its full
-
effect that you may be complete and mature, lacking
-
nothing, which means prior to the trial, there's
-
something I'm lacking. If any man lack wisdom.
-
So Joseph got a wisdom through his trial that
-
he needed. to save Egypt and the sons of Israel.
-
Look at somebody and say, you're getting some
-
wisdom in this trial that's going to save others.
-
Okay. How, now listen to me, how do I get through
-
the trial? I get through the trial by waiting.
-
How do you overcome sin? Waiting. Every trial
-
has a time limit. All I have to do is wait. Every
-
temptation has a time limit. All I got to do
-
is wait. Time is the poison to the trial. Temptation
-
isn't always there. It comes and it goes. All
-
I got to do is wait. They that wait upon the
-
Lord. Previous to that, it says the Lord isn't
-
weary. He doesn't faint. And then you wait and
-
you exchange your weakness for his strength.
-
And then it says you're going to mount up like
-
with wings like an eagle. You're going to run
-
and not be weary. You're going to walk. So while
-
I'm waiting, I'm. getting an imprint. As many
-
as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the
-
mature sons of God. What is Jesus like? Well,
-
he's like me. Because I'm like him. And then
-
in the ministry of Jesus, there was no delay.
-
Isn't this interesting? He waits to get to the
-
place of no delay. Here's the thing. The Lord
-
always gives you a butler, a baker, and a pharaoh
-
to help you get into destiny because people are
-
your escorts into destiny. A butler is somebody
-
that God gives you to open up the door for you.
-
It may be a door of foresight. a door of insight.
-
It may be a door of knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.
-
It may be a door of revelation. It may be a door
-
of motivation. Say, Father, I thank you for my
-
butler. Then the Lord always gives you a cupbearer.
-
He always gives you a baker, somebody to care
-
for you. to protect you, to save you from hurt,
-
harm, and danger. Somebody who helps put things
-
together for you. Look at somebody that's kind
-
of humbling. And then he always gives you a Pharaoh,
-
somebody in a position of power to help you step
-
into what the Father always destined for you.
-
So what's going on here? First of all, I have
-
this problem. So now, why do I have this problem?
-
Because I'm supposed to grow in the grace and
-
the intimate knowledge of God. So how can I know
-
the Father and Jesus more intimately? Oh, the
-
problem. Look at somebody and say, the problem
-
is design. So you know Jesus more intimately.
-
Okay, let me say it to you another way. When
-
they discovered there was oil in the ocean, somebody
-
said, how can we mine the wealth? Somebody said,
-
let's build a platform. Say it, let's build a
-
platform. That's how they got the treasure out
-
of the darkness. The problem or problems you
-
are facing, are the platform that enables you,
-
by your intimate knowledge of God, walking through
-
the problem to be able to reach people. Because
-
if you never had a problem, I won't even let
-
you talk to me. No, no, no. You platform your
-
ministry based upon the problems that Jesus has
-
brought you through. Successfully, you platform
-
your ministry based upon where God has brought
-
you from. You platform your ministry based upon
-
what Jesus has saved you from, healed you from,
-
delivered you from. You platform your ministry
-
based upon where Jesus has been in your life
-
more than a conqueror and an overcomer. Still
-
with me? Are you all right? You're not overwhelmed,
-
are you? Okay, good, good, good, good, because
-
that means I can go on. Okay, let me ask this
-
question. How many of you used to drink alcohol,
-
but because of Jesus, you don't drink alcohol
-
anymore? Stand to your feet. Stand to your feet.
-
Stand to your feet. You've been sitting for a
-
while anyway. Stand to your feet. Because of
-
Jesus, you don't drink no more. Let's give these
-
folks a big hand clap. Look around the room.
-
Every day you don't drink, you're a walking miracle.
-
How many of y 'all used to get high, but because
-
of Jesus, you don't get high no more? Stand to
-
your feet. Stand to your feet. Jesus, the miracle
-
worker. How many of y 'all used to smoke cigarettes?
-
Don't smoke cigarettes no more because of Jesus.
-
Stand to your feet. Stand up, stand up. Have
-
a sit down. How many of you, you ain't dealt
-
no drugs, you ain't sold no drugs since Jesus
-
come in your life? Stand to your feet. Come on,
-
give God a praise. Now, let me really take you
-
somewhere. How many of y 'all ain't robbed nobody
-
since you came to Jesus? Let me stand up on that
-
one. Let's give them a big hand clap. How many
-
of you have been tempted to do any of those things,
-
but because you waited, you overcame it? Raise
-
your hands. Okay. Everybody say problem. So you
-
get a promise from God. You can be exempt. You
-
can be free. The power of your testimony because
-
of what Jesus has done. Everybody say, problem.
-
Promise. Everybody say, provision. Everybody
-
say, prosperity. Now I'm moving toward my close.
-
Have you ever noticed that preacher's minutes
-
are always longer than regular minutes? Whenever
-
the Lord is getting ready to provide, there's
-
always one or more of five things that happen.
-
He gives you a person. There's a place. There's
-
a revelation or an idea. There's a thing and
-
there's an act. Everybody say a person. A place.
-
A revelation. A thing. Or an act. Now, the reason
-
the Lord walks us through this. It's because
-
in this, we are growing in the grace and the
-
intimate knowledge of Jesus. And he's teaching
-
me how he's going to work in and actually through
-
me so I can minister his grace, his presence
-
and his power to others and bring them into this
-
intimate knowledge of Jesus. Let me show you
-
this. This will make you think. You know, Adam
-
hasn't even sinned yet, and the Lord says to
-
him, it ain't good for the brother to be alone.
-
I want a woman to look at a man and say, even
-
before sin, you needed help. Now look at him
-
and smile and say, heaven knows you need help
-
now. The brother had a problem. God had a promise.
-
Let us make man a helpmeet for him. Provision.
-
Watch this. The Lord puts the man to sleep and
-
has the answer inside of him and brings it out
-
and presents it to him. Look at somebody and
-
say, the revelation's already in you. Christ
-
in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1 .27,
-
Galatians 2 .20, Christ lives in me. Interesting.
-
Everybody say provision. Prosperity. Interesting.
-
When Moses in Exodus 3 is getting ready to be
-
the deliverer of the sons of Israel, he gets
-
called by God and the Lord says, what's in your
-
hand? He didn't know that what was in his hand
-
was going to destroy demonic thrones, dominions,
-
principalities, and powers. Look at somebody
-
and say, it takes a revelation and a visitation
-
for you to find out what's already in you and
-
God has already put in your hand. The sons of
-
the prophets, one of them died and had a wife
-
and she was left in debt. And she goes to the
-
senior prophet and says, you know, they get ready
-
to take away my sons. I'm getting ready to be
-
destitute. Here was the prophet's question. What
-
do you have in your house? Her first response
-
is, I have nothing in my house. And then she
-
thinks for a minute and says, wait a minute,
-
I have a pot of oil. Look at somebody and say,
-
what's in you? What's in your hand? What's already
-
in your house? She didn't even know. All she
-
was waiting for was a revelation and an instruction
-
that she followed. So whenever God's getting
-
ready to do the miraculous, he gives you an instruction.
-
And when you follow that instruction, you see
-
the manifestation of the miraculous. 5 ,000 men
-
plus women and children, 4 ,000 men plus women
-
and children. Where are we going to get bread
-
to feed all these people? Wrong question. Jesus
-
says, what is here already? Look at somebody
-
and say, the miracle answer is close by. It wasn't
-
a lad. It wasn't a boy. Person, place. Turn eastward
-
back to antiquity, 1 Kings 17. Go to the brook
-
Cherith. I commanded the ravens to feed you there.
-
It's interesting. God will always meet you in
-
the place he told you to be. Jeremiah, I don't
-
care if you're a prophet. I'm not talking to
-
you anymore until you get to the potter's house.
-
I will speak to you there. Ezekiel, I know you
-
saw the Merkaba. I know you saw the moving throne
-
of God, the four living creatures and the glory
-
of God and the man on fire from his loins down
-
and up. But you better get to the plain because
-
the glory of God, you're going to experience
-
it there. Place. Elijah, get to Zarephath. I've
-
commanded a widow woman to sustain you. Everybody
-
say. their place. Idea. Open up the windows of
-
heaven. Bring the tithes and the offerings into
-
the house. See if I will not open up the windows
-
of heaven. What's a window? It's something you
-
see your way out of and into. See, what we do
-
is you know, this is what we think. We think
-
I pay my tithes and my offerings, I should prosper.
-
Okay. But there's a word, there's an idea, there's
-
a revelation that's coming out of heaven where
-
God's going to tell you what to do. I was telling
-
the pastor, the meeting I wish I would have been
-
in. Look at somebody saying, water is supposed
-
to be free. The meeting I... wanted to be in
-
was when these guys got together and said, I
-
know what we should do. We should sell what's
-
free. Everybody say, sell water. I know what
-
we'll call it. Smart water. Spring water. Look
-
at somebody. Somebody made millions. and maybe
-
billions off of water? Really? You are one idea,
-
revelation away. See, let me tell you what our
-
problem is. Look at somebody say, that good looking
-
preacher says you got a problem. Here's what
-
we do. We make noise and we go home. Oh, no,
-
no, no, no, no. I want to worship God through
-
my worship, inventions, ideas, come out of heaven
-
into the atmosphere of the earth, and I want
-
to catch them. Because when they come out of
-
heaven, they're in the earth, and anybody who
-
pays attention to what's in the spiritual realm,
-
saint or sinner, can't pick it up. Oh, let me
-
help you. George Washington Carver. I don't know
-
if you knew this. He was saved. Did you know
-
he would read the Bible, bring up a notebook,
-
pray in the spirit, and God would... George Washington
-
Carver said, Lord, show me the secrets of the
-
universe. God says, little man, you're too small
-
for the secrets of the universe. I'm going to
-
show you 72 to 100 ways. I can't remember if
-
it was 72 or 100, of how you can utilize the
-
peanut. He came up with a tire for Ford. God
-
gave him revelation about plastic, oil. They
-
invited him to the White House. They talked with
-
him about agriculture. They invited him to Congress
-
to talk about tariffs. A black man in that day,
-
look at somebody saying, it don't matter what
-
color you are when you got the Holy Ghost. In
-
England, they gave him a rarity for anybody.
-
God would talk to this man. Idea. Okay. Thing.
-
Act. God can tell you to do something. I'll share
-
this and then I'm going to come to a close because
-
somebody said we got barbecue. doing this church
-
service. And this woman dies. It was a husband
-
and wife pastor, Richard. He's since gone on
-
to be with Jesus. And Donzella, she's been saved
-
by 60 years. The woman is clinically dead. No
-
breath, no pulse. Now most folk would call, you
-
know, initiate CPR, call 911. Not Donzella. She's
-
been saved 60 years. Call them for what? We have
-
a church. So she calls the whole church to pray.
-
I'm there to do a revival. I'm just innocent.
-
So they prayed for her. Sister girl dead. Look
-
at somebody that said dead. So Don Zeller walks
-
up to me and says, will you pray for my sister?
-
Like I got something else to do right about now.
-
So I want to see if she's really dead. Y 'all
-
think I'm playing. I am serious as eternal life.
-
So yeah, ain't no pulse. Yeah, ain't no breath.
-
She dead. You know, I'm qualified to know if
-
they dead. That's for sure. Yeah, she dead. So
-
anyway, so I'm wondering. Look at somebody and
-
say, when you don't know what to do, ask Jesus.
-
So I figured, here I am. So I said, what do I
-
do? He said, stand over the body. So I stood
-
over the body. He says, say, Satan, the Lord
-
God rebuke you. So I obeyed. Then he said, put
-
your hand on her body so that whatever calls
-
her to die is healed. So I did that. Then the
-
Lord says this to me, because, you know, I'm
-
a little prophetic, so we have, you know. Prophetic
-
people are not normal. So the Lord actually says
-
this to me. He says, you don't even know the
-
woman's name. Find out what her name is. God
-
didn't know the woman. So I said, what's this
-
woman's name? They said, Ida. The Lord says,
-
tell Ida to get up. So I says, Ida, get up. When
-
I say, Ida, get up, her stomach goes. Look at
-
somebody and say, this is a good sign. So, then
-
she started breathing. Then she gets up. I think
-
we started in the morning. I think we got done
-
in that service about what, Deborah, was that
-
five or six? And I think the next service started
-
at seven. This is when I learned. One of the
-
patterns for miracles is. Somebody or some people
-
cry out to God. Exodus 2, Exodus 3, somebody
-
hears God. Exodus 3 and following, somebody obeys
-
God. Exodus 3 and following, the miracle happens.
-
Look at somebody and say, you don't need the
-
power until you need it. And for me, you know,
-
that's like number five. I've seen five people
-
raised to life. Every single time was a different
-
way. Because look at somebody and say, because
-
you got to hear and obey. Okay, closing. Problem.
-
Promise. Provision and prosperity. Okay, let's
-
review. Everybody saying counter. Process. Treasure.
-
Trial. Impact. Imprint. Birth of a vision. Death
-
of a vision. Resurrection of a vision. Faith.
-
Fear and frustration. Fulfillment. Everybody
-
say, now abides three things. Faith. Hope. Love.
-
Yeah, give Jesus a big hand clap. So now I'm
-
looking at this thing. And I'm looking at it
-
and I'm going, okay, I've got to be processed.
-
Because here's what I have learned. I have learned
-
if I can wait and walk with Jesus through the
-
process, When I come out the other side, to some
-
degree more, I will grow in the grace and the
-
intimate knowledge of my Lord and Savior, Jesus
-
Christ. If I can wait and walk with Jesus through
-
the process, when I come out, I will move in
-
some power of the Spirit I had not known. moved
-
in before. If I can wait and walk with Jesus
-
through the process, I will see God manifest
-
himself in the now. And I'm not just talking
-
about in church. I'm talking about in the restaurant.
-
I'm talking about in the mall. I'm talking about
-
in the street. I'm talking about in the drug
-
treatment facility. I'm talking about with the
-
criminals. Some of the most exciting miracles
-
I've seen are with people who have been shot.
-
I'm like excited if somebody's got a bullet.
-
I remember one guy, he'd been shot in the leg,
-
had it for 30 years, and the bullet dissolved.
-
Bullet in the knee dissolves. Bullet in the ankle
-
dissolves. I remember a guy from Mexico. He worked
-
for one of the cartels, and his job was to bury
-
the bodies that they had killed. Law enforcement
-
comes on him, charges him with mercy. He was
-
not a killer. They throw him in jail forever.
-
He gets saved. Somebody says to him, if you ask
-
the Lord, he'll get you out. Whoever the president
-
of Mexico has three names come before him, this
-
is one of the guys. So he comes to San Antonio
-
to work with a Pastor Luis who, you know, works
-
with people like this. The guy's got part of
-
his stomach is rubber. A number of people in
-
pastor's church had metal. And the metal disappears
-
and dissolves. I mean, I've seen God do some
-
stuff like, there was a guy, he was shot in the
-
chest, had fragments. They thought they were
-
going to have to amputate his arm. His last two
-
fingers were artificial. The fragments in his
-
chest disappeared, been in pain 10 years. His
-
last two fingers that were artificial become
-
real fingers and he can move them. I mean, we,
-
this is when you know it's crazy. When you go
-
through security because of the metal and it
-
goes off, God dissolves the metal and you go
-
through security and it don't go off. Look at
-
somebody say, it speaks for itself. So I'll share
-
this part. Now I'm going to, I'm trying to close.
-
This is what's crazy. Sometimes God will dissolve
-
the metal, turn it into bone. Sometimes God will
-
make the metal act like bone. So I'm doing this
-
meeting. And this woman had metal from here to
-
here, so she couldn't do this. And she's in pain.
-
The pain disappears. She still feels the metal,
-
but it don't hurt. She does this. Don't hurt.
-
Guy comes out of the congregation. He says, that's
-
a miracle. I said, really? Yeah. I said, how
-
do you know? Because he says, I'm a doctor. That's
-
my patient. And it's impossible for her to do
-
this. So I'm in Arkansas. A woman has an arm
-
four inches short. It grows out. She has metal
-
from here to here. This arm is a different color.
-
African -American, and the arm changes color.
-
Her metal disappears, becomes bone. In that same
-
set of meetings, a woman who had cancer. This
-
is the only time I've ever seen God this. He
-
left the growth but took the cancer out for the
-
doctor. They both had the same doctor. When the
-
doctor examines this woman, the metal's gone,
-
and it's bone. The doctor comes to see me. Oh,
-
no, no, no, no, no, no. You ain't heard the best
-
part. So we're doing a healing service. So I
-
have her examine people before I pray. like to
-
mess with the doctors. Because I've had doctors
-
examine people, pray for them, and then God does
-
a miracle, and now what you going to do? This
-
doctor said, you have made a believer out of
-
me. That's what she said to the pastor. I wonder
-
if it had anything to do with that trial that
-
I went through. Now, so I can take you some places
-
that will make your head spin. I ministered to
-
a woman in Branson who had a glass eye that God
-
turned it into a real eye and she saw out of
-
it. Look at somebody and say, God, he can do
-
what he want to do. And see, I ain't got nothing
-
to do with it. I was ministering in New York.
-
There was a radiologist. He had a neck fusion.
-
But it didn't hurt. And I said, I'm only going
-
to pray for people with metal if it hurts. He
-
says, it don't hurt. So I says to him, I ain't
-
praying for you. As soon as I said that, God
-
healed him. He had full mobility. Look at somebody
-
and say, God don't even listen to the preacher.
-
No, no, no. I'm praying for a woman. She got
-
a growth on her leg. How many of you ever had
-
those days where your faith, you misplaced it
-
and you can't find it? Let me be the first to
-
raise my hand. I was having one of them days.
-
She got growth. This big. I gave her a courtesy
-
prayer. That means I don't believe nothing's
-
going to happen. Oh, I trust me. I know I'm not
-
by myself. So I pray for this woman and she starts
-
yelling and her growth explodes and disappears
-
and she's healed. Well, I remember when I wasn't
-
saved. You know, I had something called acid.
-
And you can have flashbacks. I thought I was
-
having a flashback, y 'all. Because that growth
-
exploded and just went nowhere. Gone. Look at
-
somebody say he's God. If he wants to do it,
-
he will. See, some people, well, what if they
-
don't get healed? Jesus said to his apostles,
-
I sent you to reap where others have sowed. You've
-
entered into their labors. When you pray for
-
somebody, they don't get healed. You just sowed
-
for their healing. Prayers don't have a shelf
-
life. Look at somebody say they stayed before
-
the throne. So you can get prayed for by ten
-
people. Nine of them, it looks like nothing happened,
-
but the tenth, look at somebody and say, they
-
reap where others have sown. Look at somebody
-
and say, just love people. Pray for them. You
-
may be the one who sows. You may be the one this
-
time who reaps. I'm making sense to you. But
-
let me say this to you. As We get closer to the
-
end of the age and we're getting there. You're
-
going to see more and more miracles now. Look
-
at somebody and say, I'm looking for miracles
-
right now. Stand to your feet. I want you To
-
know this, the Lord is faithful. He's just not
-
taking you through a process for you. He's taking
-
you through a process to those he's going to
-
send you to. And you're going to be able to say,
-
listen, let me tell you what I've been through.
-
And they're going to connect with you. And you
-
will have grown in certain areas of the grace
-
and the intimate knowledge of God. Where you're
-
going to be able to release the kingdom, the
-
power, and the glory. Here and now. Look at somebody
-
and say, it's yours. And let me say this, because
-
I have to say this. My ego is not attached to
-
this. If somebody gets healed, I don't take the
-
credit. If they don't get healed, I don't take
-
the blame. It's not my success or my failure.
-
My job is to love God and love people. Look at
-
somebody and say, get over yourself. We're going
-
to spend a few minutes in prayer. Here's what
-
I want you to know. The Lord has confidence in
-
you. even if you don't have confidence in yourself.
-
And some of us are getting ready to find out
-
just how much confidence God actually has in
-
you. Look at somebody and say, he chose you.
-
So that means he saw something. Simon, Greek,
-
unstable as water, sinks towards lower level.
-
can get hot, angry, vaporize, can be cold as
-
ice. And Jesus says to him, they call you Simon
-
now, but you're going to be as strong and as
-
solid as a rock. You just keep watching. If you
