  1. Well, it is a privilege this morning to welcome

  2. a friend and a guest. I don't know if I can call

  3. you a guest anymore. You're just kind of family.

  4. We sure enjoy having Rachel Hickson and Helen

  5. Azar with us, and they did a fantastic job at

  6. the Women's Conference. So we're going to just,

  7. we held them over a little bit. We want to have

  8. Rachel come and share the word this morning.

  9. Would you give a big Life Bible welcome to Rachel

  10. Hickson as she comes this morning? Thank you.

  11. Well, it is an honour. Thank you, thank you,

  12. thank you. As was said, it was an amazing time

  13. with your girls. We missed a lot of you, especially

  14. the men. I love being on Sunday morning. I have

  15. to say, my favourite. is when we've got the men

  16. and girls together and we're worshipping. Thank

  17. you, worship team. I love that sound of one heart,

  18. one soul, one place, making Jesus look great.

  19. So thank you so much. So I want to come and share

  20. the word with you this morning. I feel really

  21. encouraged because already just being in your

  22. prayer time and just hearing so much about the

  23. release of healing and then just the words that

  24. you brought for our offering about just the seeds

  25. and what we carry and all the way through, God

  26. has tapestried his sound this morning. So I want

  27. you to just... Listen more. You don't have to

  28. listen now. Just listen more because he's been

  29. knocking already. And I've called what I'm going

  30. to talk about this morning, forget and remember.

  31. Can you say that with me today? That's okay.

  32. Let's try more coffee. One, two, three. Forget

  33. and remember. You're most probably thinking I'm

  34. slightly schizophrenic. Make your mind up, girl.

  35. Forget. Or remember, no, forget and remember.

  36. And as I begin to unpack, you will just see what

  37. I'm doing. Sorry, I'm just taking this off because

  38. I forgot one thing. Forget. And it keeps shutting

  39. down on me and saying, shut up talking, girl,

  40. you're done. And I'm saying, no, I need my notes.

  41. But I was walking over the fields with my wonderful

  42. chocolate Labrador dog. And as I was walking,

  43. I just felt Holy Spirit say this. You need to

  44. learn the grace of forgetting correctly and the

  45. art of remembering completely. Just read this

  46. with me one time. One, two, three. You need to

  47. learn the grace of forgetting correctly and the

  48. art of remembering completely. And he said the

  49. reason we need to do this is in order to live

  50. an emotionally healthy life. So I'm going to

  51. unpack what does it mean to remember to forget.

  52. Remember to forget. And God took me to a scripture

  53. in Isaiah 43 verse 25. Now I'm a girl that went

    Isaiah 43:25

  54. to church before I was born. I have missionary

  55. parents. I'm a preacher's kid. I've read the

  56. Bible and had the Bible in my world for a very

  57. long time. And, you know, I still am convinced

  58. that God sneaks. scriptures or extra words into

  59. certain verses that you know we know that this

  60. is the authentic word of God but how many of

  61. you discover you read something you think no

  62. that wasn't there last time I read it I'm sure

  63. he snuck something in well I want you to read

  64. this verse with me and I'll tell you what I am

  65. convinced God snuck in my Bible this time in

  66. September 1 2 3 Isaiah 43 25 I I am he who blots

  67. out your transgressions for my own sake, and

  68. I will not remember your sins. I am he who blots

  69. out or forgets your transgressions for my...

  70. own sake. You see, I always thought God was generous

  71. and kind in this verse, and I was reading it,

  72. that this amazing God, God says, I am God, and

  73. I forget your sins for your sake. I always thought

  74. it was about my sake, my need. But right here,

  75. it isn't God saying, I need to action this for

  76. your sake. Actually, I'm Actioning it for my

  77. sake. And as you begin to look at that for my

  78. own name's sake, it actually means that God,

  79. even God states and confesses for the integrity

  80. and the well -being of his personhood. He makes

  81. an active, intentional choice. I will delete.

  82. completely forget eradicate remove all trace

  83. of your transgression I will not remember I have

  84. made an active decision it's not on my grid reference

  85. at all when I look at you and so you see the

  86. intentionality of God and God's decision making,

  87. is also how he wants to school and tutor us.

  88. So then let's read it for me. Rachel, Rachel,

  89. for your own integrity, personalhood, and emotional

  90. well -being, forget the transgressions. The actions,

  91. betrayals, happenstances of people in your world

  92. against you. Make an active, intentional choice

  93. for your own name's sake that Rachel will not

  94. go there. She will not remember those sins. You

  95. see... If we make these active decisions, we

  96. remove the pollutants and the contaminants that

  97. get inside the very well -being, the very center

  98. of our lives, and they become a pool that festers

  99. and pollutes. It's much easier said than done.

  100. How many of you know that's true? And we all

  101. know it, but it's hard to do it. And I believe

  102. God spoke to me that this is a season for the

  103. church to grow up and begin to discover a new

  104. attitude of generosity. And already Pastor Brad

  105. brought it up in concerning our offering. And

  106. sometimes giving forgiveness is far more costly

  107. than giving $10. You see, I've discovered one

  108. thing of life. I'm 57 years old. I have two children.

  109. My son is 31. My daughter is 34. And I have five

  110. grandkids. And so I've done a bit of life, done

  111. a bit of relational life. I've been in the church,

  112. as I said, for a long time. Gordon and I have

  113. pastored. I've been in community life. I've watched

  114. the good, the bad, and the very ugly. How many

  115. of you would say, yeah, I've done a bit of that

  116. too, my world. And I have noted one thing, historical

  117. people usually become hysterical. You know, there

  118. are those moments of meltdown and they usually

  119. are because finally a button's been triggered

  120. and suddenly you go, yeah, I can't believe you're

  121. doing this and you did this and you did that

  122. and you did the other and you did the other and

  123. you go, whoa, bring it on. I didn't know. That

  124. you were so bitter. Have you ever had those moments?

  125. And when it's done to you, it feels utterly unreasonable.

  126. But when we do it, it's actually utterly understandable.

  127. Don't you remember? You forgot. You never did.

  128. You never. Hello. You see. That historical pollutant

  129. often triggers us. But then we end up in this

  130. catch -22 situation. We end up feeling that the

  131. devil says, yeah, but if you just forget, you're

  132. letting them off easy. You're just becoming a

  133. doormat. You're just weak. Be a man. Man up.

  134. Let them know. It's just... Too easy to just

  135. forgive and forget. After all, they should pay

  136. at least something. They should feel mama's wrath.

  137. They betrayed me. They hurt me. Don't they understand?

  138. Don't they have any idea what they did to my

  139. world? And the enemy then says they should pay.

  140. The problem is the price has been paid. Jesus

  141. has paid it in full. We have no right to make

  142. people pay unless we want to pay. And so you

  143. see, the enemy always says, don't let them make

  144. you a doormat. But the greater way is trust.

  145. And what we're wrestling for in that moment is

  146. the trust in the goodness of God who does all

  147. things well, who will. stand on our behalf, who

  148. will cover our humility, who will make the crooked

  149. place seem straight, who will make it right.

  150. And we lean and trust into the goodness of God

  151. rather than our own defense. But that takes huge

  152. courage. And then God said this to me, Rachel.

  153. You need to upgrade in your emotional intelligence.

  154. How many would agree? Most of us need an upgrade

  155. in our emotional intelligence. How many of you

  156. have had a moment, even though 50 -odd, you're

  157. being three? I don't want it. It's not fair.

  158. I can't believe poor little me. And suddenly

  159. you're watching yourself and you're thinking,

  160. I'm about three right now, but I'm not going

  161. to go there. Why do those things trigger? What

  162. is that? I, even I, for my own namesake, blot

  163. out, delete every transgression, every pollutant,

  164. every contaminant. You see, God wants us to remove

  165. those contaminants. We need to realize that unforgiveness

  166. is a luxury we cannot afford. We need to realize

  167. unforgiveness is a luxury we cannot afford. You

  168. see, it pollutes the very essence of who you

  169. are. It makes the sweetest people bitter. It

  170. makes you look at yourself and not like yourself,

  171. but then you're justifying it. How many of you

  172. know what I'm talking about? Once we decide to

  173. remember the wrongs people have done against

  174. us and we catalogue them and keep an account,

  175. we start a negative route or route in our lives.

  176. We start this process that leads us to emotional

  177. self -harming. And you know... You watch maybe,

  178. and in our culture and society today, I live

  179. in Oxford. And my world is a student's, young

  180. professional, young adult's world. My church

  181. is very much a 35 under church. Just because

  182. that's my culture. That's where I live. And I

  183. see the evidence of physical self -harming. But

  184. it never starts on the skin. It starts in the

  185. heart. And for so many of us, we cover it better.

  186. And it doesn't show on our hands. But oh, we've

  187. got it on the inside. that self -harming those

  188. blistering blistered places and unforgiveness

  189. we all the devil fools you yeah hold on to it

  190. or hurt them the thing is it doesn't it lacerates

  191. you it lacerates you and when we make those decisions

  192. to remember what we should forget actually we

  193. hurt ourselves most. And that injustice, bitterness,

  194. rage, resentment, anger, depression, sadness,

  195. weakness, self -pity, all the stuff actually

  196. becomes contaminants. But it takes great courage.

  197. But come on, Oregon people. You're pioneers.

  198. You've got some welly in you. That means you've

  199. got some guts. Got some... Metal got some willy

  200. in you. You can have that one for free. But you

  201. need to remember to forget. But there's another

  202. level and this word has already come up today

  203. in the worship set several times. You also need

  204. to forget yourself. You see, unforgiveness towards

  205. yourself is self -harming too. It's regret. Say

  206. that word with me. Regret. You see, regret is

  207. a very wicked master. 2 Corinthians 7 verse 10

    2 Corinthians 7:10

  208. says this. Read it with me. 2 Corinthians 7 verse

    2 Corinthians 7:10

  209. 10. God wants us to experience, leads us away

  210. from sin and results in salvation. There is no

  211. regret with that kind of sorrow. You see, the

  212. devil is a manipulator masterly, a master manipulator.

  213. And again, you see, just like the forgiving of

  214. people, you know, the devil begins to say, don't

  215. let them off light, they should pay. With the

  216. regret thing, he says, were you a mean? How many

  217. of you know there was truth in it? And I taught

  218. on this, and if you want to hear it, listen to

  219. the Beyond Measure with the girls thing. Don't

  220. believe the devil, even when he's telling the

  221. truth. You see, there's truthful information.

  222. It's not the spirit of truth, but it's truthful

  223. information that he uses to accuse and bully

  224. and beat you up. Yeah, but you had the affair.

  225. You had the abortion. You cheated on your wife.

  226. You sneak off and watch the porn. You've been

  227. aggressive with your kids. Irresponsible with

  228. the money. You were, you were. And because it's

  229. true, it has a power. And he bullies. And so

  230. we come into the presence of God and we say,

  231. oh God, I am sorry. And the devil says, how sorry?

  232. And he keeps saying, not sorry enough. But the

  233. Bible says, no, there is a journey of repentance.

  234. And that journey starts by coming to Jesus and

  235. saying, I am sorry. And that leads you away from

  236. your sin. As you look to Jesus, he's taking your

  237. hand and he's walking you away from your sin.

  238. And he's walking you in to a brand new redemption,

  239. a brand new life. He's got you on a journey.

  240. The devil wants you stuck. God wants you on a

  241. journey, leaving your sin into redemption, totally

  242. 100 % free. There is no regret. Say it with me.

  243. One more time, there is no regret with that kind

  244. of sorrow. God, I'm sorry. I want to leave it

  245. behind. And I believe today, this is my last

  246. time I preach before I go home after three weeks.

  247. I believe today, God brought me here for you,

  248. precious people, because he wants you to get

  249. free, totally free, forever free, never feeling

  250. that bullying. Because there is no regret. It's

  251. time to remember to forget. I want to just explain

  252. forgiveness because sometimes we get messed up

  253. with that. But let's have, this is what God said

  254. to me. It doesn't mean that there wasn't an injustice.

  255. It doesn't mean that there wasn't things that

  256. could have been done better. But forgiveness

  257. is you actually being empowered, not becoming

  258. weak. Forgiveness is you stepping up, not stepping

  259. down. You see, this is what forgiveness is. Forgiveness

  260. does not mean that you're coming into agreement

  261. and alignment with the actions. Next slide, please.

  262. that you agree or come into alignment with the

  263. actions. Forgiveness just means you will not

  264. hold those actions against the person or against

  265. yourself. And you can say to the devil, I know

  266. that wasn't my smartest moment, but it is finished.

  267. Let me go. I forgive myself and I am forgiven.

  268. Forgiveness doesn't mean that you agree and come

  269. into agreement. It just means you have been empowered

  270. by the incredible grace of God to be outrageously

  271. generous and to say to people, I do not hold

  272. it against you. I let you go and I go free to

  273. live my life making Jesus look good. So let's

  274. read this scripture together. Romans chapter

    Romans 12:17–20

  275. 12, verses 17 to 20. One, two, three. Can you

  276. read it with me? Never pay back evil with more

  277. evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can

  278. see you are honorable. Do all that you can to

  279. live in peace with everyone. How many of you

  280. know everyone's a big word? Everyone. Think of

  281. that someone and now say, help me God. We've

  282. all got a someone in our everyone. Should we

  283. read one? Do all that you can to live at peace

  284. with everyone. Verse 19. Dear friends, never

  285. take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger

  286. of God. For the scriptures say, I will take revenge.

  287. I will pay them back, says the Lord. God's payback.

  288. I'll let him do that. I wouldn't want to be on

  289. the end of God's payback. Let him. Trust him.

  290. Amen. Instead, if your enemies are hungry, feed

  291. them. If they're thirsty, give them something

  292. to drink. In doing this, you heap burning coals

  293. of shame on their heads. Do not let evil conquer

  294. you, but conquer evil by doing good. Amen. So

  295. just put your hand to heaven and just say, help

  296. me, Jesus. Father, I pray right now. that you

  297. would help us remember to forget. I pray that

  298. you put a grace in us this morning to break power

  299. of regret in our lives and the power of unforgiveness

  300. and really help us come to peace. In Jesus' name.

  301. Amen. Now having remembered to forget, we now

  302. need to... Don't forget to remember. Don't forget

  303. to remember. Because you see, there are special

  304. treasures God's given to you and he wants you

  305. to remember correctly. Remember correctly. And

  306. you see, when you walk through a tough season

  307. of life, your memories get skewed. We can often

  308. get very negative. We look at seasons and all

  309. we can see is the real hell hole we went through.

  310. And we can end up with a little bit of a reactionary,

  311. maybe even rebellious cry that goes, where was

  312. God when I needed him? But you see, what has

  313. happened in that process is that our whole emotional

  314. life has been so skewed that we have got focused

  315. on the negative and we've lost the fingerprints

  316. of God. And God, I believe today, wants to take

  317. you back to take you forward in your personal

  318. lives. Some of you right back to childhood. Some

  319. of you back to maybe marriages that didn't work.

  320. Relationships that have fractured. Business partnerships

  321. that got messy. All sorts of things. that just

  322. left their marks negative. And he says, ah, I

  323. want to take you back so that you can remember

  324. correctly. So often we miss the face of God in

  325. times of trouble. Deuteronomy 8 verse 18 says

    Deuteronomy 8:18

  326. this. Read it with me. One, two, three. But remember

  327. the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you

  328. the ability to produce wealth and so confirms

  329. his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors

  330. as it is today. Remember, it's actually God that

  331. has given you this incredible power to sort it

  332. all out. If you read the beginning of Deuteronomy

  333. 8, they have come through a time of hell. They

  334. have lived in the wilderness. They have felt

  335. everything was stripped, relationally, financially,

  336. intellectually. Everything just felt like, where

  337. is God? And they'd gone through this time. They

  338. couldn't build houses. They couldn't have children.

  339. They'd lost their livestock. They'd lost everything.

  340. And they were crying, God, God, God. But now

  341. they were in a season where they were building

  342. again. And it says, now you have your houses.

  343. You have your wealth. You have your thing. But

  344. please be careful. Don't forget God. And it isn't

  345. just don't forget God now. Don't forget the journey

  346. with God. Don't give the devil all the credit

  347. for the wilderness. Oh, it was hell and this

  348. happened and I was diagnosed with cancer and

  349. my kid failed out of school. We rehearse the

  350. negative journey of the wilderness. But where

  351. was your Jesus? He was the fire above you. He

  352. was the light of the day. He never left you.

  353. never forsake you but the devil has skewed your

  354. understanding and again that puts a bitterness

  355. and it breaks down the trust in your God do you

  356. understand what I'm saying let me just illustrate

  357. it you see as I've been digging in to preach

  358. this word I just had Jesus, just we were talking

  359. and suddenly I went back to my boarding school

  360. years. I'm a missionary kid. And between the

  361. age of nine to 16, I lived over a thousand miles

  362. away from my parents. Saw them for about six

  363. weeks a year. They lived in Mumbai, India. I

  364. lived in the south of India in a boarding school.

  365. It was a religious, tough. difficult atmosphere.

  366. It wasn't the greatest. And when I got into my

  367. age 12, 13, I became the point of wicked bullying.

  368. It was a girls only school and girls can find

  369. nails and words like nothing else. They can be

  370. really mean spirited. And I was on the butt end

  371. of most of the ridicule, the humiliation. My

  372. family were known as one of the prestigious missionary

  373. families that were beginning to see the breakthrough

  374. of the charismatic Holy Spirit moving in India.

  375. This was 1963 to 1978. So it was against a very

  376. conservative God the Father, God the Son, and

  377. God the Holy Stick. I got beaten to death. How

  378. many of you recognize that one? And so here I

  379. am in my little 12 year old and I have got many

  380. memories that are not happy. And as I was walking

  381. over the fields, just ruminating, he's saying,

  382. God, give me a word to preach. Show me. He said,

  383. but Rachel, don't you remember me? And I'm like,

  384. I remember the music room where I got. Hell beaten

  385. out of me. I have memory. And he said, but don't

  386. you remember Miss Hunt and Miss Payne? And I

  387. finally thought, oh, yeah. I mean, we're going

  388. back ancient history, 40 years, 45 years. I'm

  389. thinking Miss Hunt, Miss Payne. Yeah, Miss Hunt

  390. was the math teacher. Miss Payne was my physics

  391. teacher. And thank you, Jesus. I was good at

  392. both. So I learned to score well, do well, and

  393. they both liked me. And they were new to the

  394. school. And looking back with my adult perspective,

  395. I suddenly realized they most probably realized

  396. what was happening to me. But because of the

  397. very legalistic setup of the school, they had

  398. no way to really protect me and help me. But

  399. in their own way, they found a way because they

  400. were young, modern, trendy, and everyone wanted

  401. to be on the good book of Miss Hunt and Miss

  402. Peg. And I was. And Miss Hunt, my math teacher,

  403. suddenly said, I want extra tutorials to you

  404. because I think we could really get you three

  405. into scholarship level papers. So come for tutorials.

  406. And all the others goes, ha ha, you're on thing.

  407. But I loved it because every time I walked in,

  408. there was the hugest chocolate cake and tea and

  409. every treat we never got. And God knew to get

  410. through that wilderness, a girl needs chocolate

  411. cake. And I suddenly thought, I used to love

  412. my tutorials because we didn't actually do a

  413. lot of maths, but we did a lot of just fun and

  414. talking and things. And I suddenly thought, oh,

  415. this is that. Hello, this is that. And then Miss

  416. Paint used to take me out. for special outings

  417. because at weekends you had to get a weekend

  418. pass. You weren't allowed out the school gates.

  419. But somehow Miss Payne always managed to manoeuvre

  420. it that I got to be on her team to go out with

  421. her, to do something special, go for lunch, et

  422. cetera, et cetera. And I suddenly felt the goodness

  423. of God in a land that had been hell. Come on,

  424. God wants to wake up memories for you. Don't

  425. let the devil say he won. God has never left

  426. you, never failed you. And today God wants you

  427. to remember correctly, even though those seasons

  428. that were very hard. Is that good? Can we do

  429. it? You see, I believe I've been sent here today

  430. to stir up your memories. To stir up your memories.

  431. And sometimes, you see, we're frightened of doing

  432. that. But God has asked me to come here to you

  433. in Life Bible Church and in this incredible auditorium

  434. and this incredible gift of God that he's given

  435. you in this facility, in this land, and in your

  436. relationships. And he says, come on, stir it

  437. up. Stir it up. It is a time to remember. All

  438. through scripture, there are these constant sort

  439. of background theme that says, come on, remember

  440. God. Do not forget. Rehearse the story. Put a

  441. legacy. I believe that this house is a tri -generational

  442. house of legacy. That God is going to put something

  443. on the grandparents and on the parents and on

  444. the children. individually, but simultaneously.

  445. It will be together upon all. It doesn't just

  446. have to be a baton passed and released, but simultaneously.

  447. And even watching Pastor Brad sing with his daughter,

  448. Jennifer, as I watched that corporate anointing

  449. of worship upon them both, something in me said,

  450. God's modeling. As it is, it will be upon the

  451. house. And come on, fathers and sons, fathers

  452. and daughters, mothers and sons, mothers and

  453. daughters. Don't just... Let's push them out.

  454. Stay with them because God's going to do something.

  455. God wants to stir up your memories. Psalm 77.

  456. If you read this Psalm, it's a psalm of David,

  457. obviously. And as you read it, this is David.

  458. Having a bit of a meltdown and then checking

  459. himself. A Rachel version of this psalm would

  460. go something like this. Oh God, I am fed up.

  461. I am sick and tired. I feel overwhelmed. Life

  462. is just hard. Where are you? I'm on my bed. I'm

  463. groaning. I am not getting up for church. I'm

  464. not doing anything. I'm staying right here. It's

  465. duvet day, pity party. I'm fed up. And in the

  466. middle of him telling God he's had a... enough,

  467. suddenly we get verse three and it goes, but

  468. when I remember God, I moan. And then I meditate

  469. and then my soul faints. And it isn't the fainting

  470. of, oh, knew I should give up. It's that, oh,

  471. fainting of, oh, you're breathing on me, God.

  472. You're breathing on me. And then he goes on and

  473. he said, but God, don't try and just. Talk to

  474. me and smooth me up. No, God. Look, let me have

  475. a talk. All these people are after my back. My

  476. back is raw. They're talking about me. They've

  477. humiliated me. They've been at me. Come on, God.

  478. I have got a case. Don't just make me be nice.

  479. The Rachel version of Psalm 77. And then he goes

  480. on and it says, yeah, but let me remember to

  481. sing. Let me remember to worship and sing. And

  482. suddenly when you begin to sing of him, you can't

  483. be so cross and mean. And David loses it again

  484. and says, oh, wow, God, you are amazing. And

  485. then he wakes up in the middle of the night and

  486. he's remembering all the things he wished he

  487. had said to all these people who are really annoying

  488. and irritating. And then he says, yeah, but even

  489. in the night. My heart can't help but go back

  490. to you. And I felt that God wants to get hold

  491. of some of your night times because the devil

  492. comes in in your night times. You have learned

  493. to hold him in your conscious mind in your day

  494. times. You've learned how to address all those

  495. sneaky thoughts in the day time. But it's the

  496. night time when you're a little bit more out

  497. of it. Through your dream life, through your

  498. subconscious. And it's in that time you begin

  499. to rehearse and hear the psalmist learns the

  500. key. No, in the night time. I will. I will remember

  501. my God. I will rehearse his good deeds. I will

  502. declare what he's done. I am not going to let

  503. the devil steal my night times. Come on, is there

  504. an amen in the house? Don't let him accuse you,

  505. bully you in the night times. Often when we're

  506. being through a hard time, we are scared of memories.

  507. But I believe God wants you to take hold of your

  508. memories and he wants you to begin to rehearse

  509. your God stories. In fact, one of the girls at

  510. Beyond Measure told the story of the lineage

  511. of her different family lines who'd gone through

  512. very tough times but had made an active choice

  513. but God. And there are... those moments where

  514. we have to just begin to rehearse the God story

  515. and not let the devil write his line. You see,

  516. there is a God story carried in your DNA. There

  517. is a God graciousness and kindness and he wants

  518. to stir it up. I believe there are many family

  519. lines like my line. My parents were the first

  520. ones to come to Jesus. So we thought, having

  521. now done a little bit of research, I find out

  522. my great -grandmother got born again in the Welsh

  523. Revival. And she, at the age of 42, married to

  524. a very alcoholic husband who was a minor, who,

  525. as far as we know, never really turned to Jesus,

  526. became an incredible woman of prayer for her

  527. five children, one of them my granddad. And her

  528. 13 grandchildren that were present at that time,

  529. one of them my father, and she targeted them

  530. with prayer, died, never knowing whether any

  531. of them ever made any shift to God. But at the

  532. age of 30, my dad came to Jesus quite supernaturally,

  533. just before the Billy Graham 1954 London mission.

  534. Because... A little triplet group of prayers

  535. wrote on their cards and began to victimize my

  536. dad in prayer. And the hellhounds of heaven got

  537. hold of him and he got born again before they

  538. ever had the opportunity of taking him to the

  539. London mission. Come on, VIP cards. That changed

  540. the legacy of our destiny as a family. So my

  541. dad came to Jesus. His mum and dad came to Jesus.

  542. His three children, myself, Rachel, Duncan and

  543. David all love Jesus. I've got two kids. Duncan's

  544. got three. David's got two. Seven grandchildren

  545. all love Jesus. I've now got five grandchildren

  546. and already I had Leela ring me up from Australia,

  547. eight years old, granny. You know what you were

  548. talking about, that you can really know God loves

  549. you. She was going through all sorts of emotional

  550. insecurities at school. And she was reacting

  551. appropriately for an eight -year -old, but not

  552. the best for life. And I said, you don't have

  553. to be spiteful. You can be gracious. Yeah, but

  554. granny, I said, come on, Leela. We always go

  555. in the opposite. I can't, but I... I said, but

  556. she's, I don't know. So she phones me up. She

  557. said, I was in worship. She said, and something

  558. came on me. And in her own way, she describes

  559. an encounter with the love of God who came upon

  560. her, flowed upon her, flowed in her, and how

  561. she was filled to overwhelming with the warmth

  562. and the sense of a daddy who loves her. She says,

  563. I know my daddy loves me. I understand it now,

  564. granny. I've got him inside me. And when I feel

  565. scared, I have my special language that Jesus

  566. and I can talk and no one can understand. And

  567. we've got our secret world. Come on, generation

  568. to generation to generation. 2 Timothy chapter...

  569. Now I made myself cry. Helen will rescue me.

  570. Thank you, sweetheart. She always knows how crying

  571. has the deal. The Kleenex ready. 2 Timothy 1,

  572. 5 -7. Can you read it with me? 1, 2, 3. I am

  573. reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that

  574. dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your

  575. mother Eunice, and now I am sure dwells in you.

  576. as well for this reason I remind you to fan into

  577. flame the gift of God which is in you through

  578. the laying on of hands for God gave us a spirit

  579. not of fear but of power and of love and of self

  580. -control As I was praying over that this morning,

  581. God just said something to me. Again, he snuck

  582. it in there. And I know it's there. He said,

  583. so often when you read that scripture, you're

  584. excited about, God did not give me a spirit of

  585. fear, intimidation, anxiety, but God gave me

  586. a spirit of love and power. We sort of forget

  587. this self -control. We're excited about love.

  588. We're excited about power. What about... That

  589. one. Awkward one. Self -control one. You see,

  590. what is self -control? It is that intentional

  591. decision to align my life, wrestle it, to do

  592. what's right, to control my emotional intelligence.

  593. Self -control. We love the love. We love the

  594. power. We don't like so much. Is that true? It's

  595. true for me. So God wants you to rehearse your

  596. God's story. So I want to wake up some of the

  597. prophetic. that I believe is upon you by the

  598. laying on of hands. It's like the Holy Spirit

  599. has put his hand upon you individually and upon

  600. your house. I want to go a little bit wider.

  601. What does God want to do in the Northwest at

  602. this time? It was really interesting. I think

  603. it was Pastor Brad, but someone said about just

  604. loosing the cap. Loosing the cap, releasing the

  605. cap. And so I want you to listen to this word

  606. and I will give the transcripts to you for your

  607. prayer team and others. But Johnny Enloe had

  608. a word for the Pacific Northwest and it includes

  609. you, Oregon, Washington, on October the 5th,

  610. 2013. And he said, as I was in Tacoma, Washington

  611. recently, the Lord spoke to my spirit and I perceived

  612. this region of Washington. Washington, Oregon.

  613. Then he mentions visions. I'm going to mention

  614. the cities, Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Portland,

  615. and the Canadian cities of Vancouver, Abbotsford,

  616. Kelowna, and all the areas making up the towns

  617. and villages between. There is a new wind and

  618. a breath of God blowing over you. This region

  619. is pregnant with destiny. There has been a generational

  620. buildup, but now it is ready to be manifested.

  621. released and I saw the Pacific Northwest poised

  622. as a drinks can with the pull tab in the hand

  623. of God. Take the lid off and this will open up.

  624. this region and then resource the whole nation

  625. with a fresh wind of healing. I had the privilege

  626. of being in your prayer room before and all the

  627. words were about healing, healing, healing. But

  628. I want to expand your thinking of healing. I

  629. don't believe that the outflow of the healing

  630. we're seeing is merely going to be people out

  631. of wheelchairs or cancers healed. I really believe

  632. that God is on a mission to do incredible mental

  633. health healing, emotional healing, healing and

  634. restoration of family lines and reconciliation.

  635. So I don't want you to downsize that word healing.

  636. Let the pull tab come back and let it flow with

  637. every type of healing. And the Northwest was

  638. poised as a pull tab to open up the nation to

  639. fresh winds of healing. It was not just the US

  640. side, but also the Canadian side. And I believe

  641. the spirit of... Elijah is ready to be blown

  642. and the angelic realm is present and very active

  643. over this region with literally millions of newly

  644. released angels carrying healing in their wings.

  645. This region historically has been a place of

  646. great healing ministries and movements but this

  647. new wind is bringing something different and

  648. something beyond physical healing. This region

  649. will now release An evidence of healing that

  650. heals people, families, cities. Oaks of righteousness

  651. will arise from this area carrying these new

  652. fresh leaves of healing. And the spirit of Elijah

  653. will turn the hearts of their sons to their fathers

  654. and the hearts of fathers to their sons. And

  655. there will be a great connectedness within families.

  656. New revelation will come upon you to understand

  657. dynamics, to heal families. enter the secret

  658. place of people's emotional wounds and find dysfunctionality,

  659. brokenness, coming strong once again. This will

  660. not just be a movement with healing revelation,

  661. but it will be a movement of healing information,

  662. training, discipleship. Do you want it? Do you

  663. think it could be true? You see, God wants to

  664. rehearse a God story over you. And then I saw

  665. great swirls of creativity over this whole region

  666. of the Pacific Northwest. There is a new wave

  667. coming that will impact society. You see, I believe

  668. what God wants you to rehearse, what you need

  669. to remember to forget, but do not forget to remember,

  670. is God is a God of a new thing and a new day

  671. and a new way at this time. And I don't think

  672. it's going to be so church -centric as community

  673. -centric. There will be new ways of doing things

  674. that would explode all over this region. How

  675. many of you want to stir up a creative memory?

  676. There will be new trends that start from this

  677. place and begin to go national and even global.

  678. There will be new ways of doing music and worship,

  679. new fashions and fashion trends, new technologies,

  680. new church models, new eateries, coffee houses.

  681. You'd have thought Pacific Northwest had done

  682. enough with coffee. New ways of doing business.

  683. There is something about this creativity that's

  684. connected to the generational flow. And this

  685. is because it is to serve a new community heart

  686. and connectiveness and will bring social healing

  687. in vast measures for the sake of America. Let

  688. it be. Let it be. Come on, God, stir it up. How

  689. many of you can say, yeah, I can remember a few

  690. words like this before? And even in the prayer

  691. time, it was like, healing, healing. Sean Boltz

  692. on the 4th of June. There is an undercurrent

  693. of power in the Northwest and it is about to

  694. explode. With signs and wonders, healings and

  695. power. Everything that can be shaken will be

  696. shaken in Washington, Idaho, Oregon and even

  697. into Canada. There is a release of power that

  698. will come and explode over the nation. This word

  699. is for the whole Northwest area. Shake the can

  700. and pull it. Shake the can and pull it. Shake

  701. the can, God. Everything that can be shaken will

  702. be shaken. No wonder it looks a mess. But I believe

  703. it's time to create memories. I want you to be

  704. intentional. Don't only remember to forget, but

  705. please don't. forget to remember. Create memories.

  706. There will be a new spirit of creativity. Mark

  707. the land and leave some landmarks. Create some

  708. memories. And this is the final scripture I want

  709. to leave with you. And I felt this very strongly.

  710. Joshua chapter 4 verses 6 to 7. God wants you

    Joshua 4:6–7

  711. to create memories and he wants you to begin

  712. to write them down, not forget them, rehearse

  713. them. And just like Joshua, read it with me.

  714. And we will use these stones to build a memorial.

  715. And in the future, your children will ask you,

  716. what do these stones mean? Then you can tell

  717. them, they remind us. Dot, dot, dot, dot. You

  718. need stones that trip you up when you got your

  719. head down and you're feeling angry and fed up.

  720. And suddenly you think, oh yeah, there's that

  721. stone. I remember. I remember. Because every

  722. one of you have got a stone. That word of God

  723. in your life. So remember to forget, but please

  724. don't forget to remember. Worship team, if you

  725. can come. And I wonder if you'd just stand with

  726. me as we come to a close this morning. Jesus

  727. has been speaking to us all day. And he wants

  728. you to mark the day. Don't forget to remember.

  729. In England, it is fall back day. But we were

  730. just saying to each other, God's been mean to

  731. us this year. We lost our hour in bed in the

  732. UK and we lost our hour in bed in the USA. We

  733. lost it all together. So in England, it is fall

  734. back weekend. But as we stand in the presence

  735. of God, before you run out and do life and do

  736. coffee and do friends, take a moment to do God.

  737. Mark this moment. And there are some of you where

  738. the wicked devil all your life has made you carry

  739. a rucksack of regret. But today, Precious Holy

  740. Spirit, send a crazy English speaking woman with

  741. weird English to come and shake it up. Some of

  742. you need to just remember God. So I'm going to

  743. make a space right in front of me, immediate

  744. in front of me. If you just know, actually in

  745. all the hell of life, I lost my face of God.

  746. Maybe you've known God, you gave your life to

  747. God a long time ago. But if you're really honest,

  748. standing in the presence of God now, you just

  749. know, my life isn't in the best place with God.

  750. I need to shift and take hold where I let go.

  751. If that's you, I'm going to invite you to come

  752. right here in the front of the stage. Maybe you've

  753. never let go of your life and taken hold of God.

  754. Now is a great day. You might say, but Rachel,

  755. that's a bit scary. I don't know how to do it.

  756. It's okay. We'll have prayer team. We'll have

  757. people with you. You're not going to be alone.

  758. But I'm asking you to leave where you've stood

  759. for many years. Some of you need to leave where

  760. you've just been marginalized and make a decision

  761. today. I need God back in my life. And I'm going

  762. to mark it today. So I'm going to ask you to

  763. come into the center. There's others of you who

  764. need to remember to forget. And before you go

  765. running out, I want to give you a moment where

  766. you could just be in the presence of God and

  767. say, okay, God, I am walking. Remember, I am

  768. walking out of sin towards my redemption and

  769. there is no regret. Repentance. And you know

  770. the devil has played and messed with you with

  771. regret. And often it's people of real integrity.

  772. Because the devil slams you and says, yeah, but

  773. you did it. You say, yeah, I know. Hands up.

  774. Take it. And the devil's messed with you all

  775. these years. But today, your walk of faith is

  776. to say, it's done. It's finished. There is no

  777. more regret. It's nailed. It's finished. If that's

  778. you, I'm going to give you this left -hand side.

  779. If you're saying... Oh, help me, Jesus. I want

  780. everything. Don't worry. Just choose wherever.

  781. It doesn't really matter. And then I was going

  782. to open this side and just say, if you know there's

  783. a sense that you've just forgotten God in the

  784. journey, it's just got harder. You're saying,

  785. stir it up in my heart, Lord. Stir up. Activate

  786. the prophetic. Let me see your face again. God,

  787. it's just felt very negative. But oh, there's

  788. a mishunt and there's a mispain in my life too.

  789. And it's good news. Oh God, I just want you to

  790. wake it up. Help me. Then I'm just going to give

  791. you this side. And if you want all three, really

  792. doesn't matter. But if you just know I need to

  793. press into God. Don't stress. Just press. Come

  794. to Jesus. You ready to move? Just come. Prayer

  795. team, if you could be ready to help, that would

  796. be awesome. Come press into God this morning.

  797. Worship team, thank you. Just press in. Leave

  798. that regret. No regret, no regret, no regret.

  799. We'll make this a regret side. We'll make this

  800. a Jesus place. And we'll make this a prophetic

  801. place. Stir it up in my heart, Lord. I've lost

  802. your face. I need to know you. You want Jesus,

  803. stand right here in the front. Thank you. You

  804. know where you need to come. you press into God

  805. I won't be able to pray for you all individually

  806. this is your time to press into him because the

  807. presence of God is going to come on you he's

  808. going to help you he's going to restore you all

  809. that regret all the accusation all the bullying

  810. of the enemy don't believe the devil anymore

  811. even if he seems to be telling the truth he's

  812. a liar He's holding the wrong things on your

  813. life. Just press it and say, it is finished.

  814. I'm letting it go. You have no right on my life

  815. anymore. And prayer team, ministry team, just

  816. move amongst. Help them stir it up. Help them

  817. leave it at the cross. or contacting Life Bible
