  1. All right, well, we've had a Friday night meeting,

  2. a Saturday morning breakfast, a Saturday night

  3. meeting. It's been great, great deposit of the

  4. Word of God. For those of you that, how many

  5. have not heard Dr. Jan Venter? This is your first

  6. time hearing him. Just kind of lift your hand.

  7. Okay, I'm going to introduce him. He is formerly

  8. from South Africa, and then he got saved and

  9. came to the United States. No, I'm just giving

  10. him a hard time. There's quite a, I can't go

  11. into the lengthy history, but quite a history

  12. of what God's done in and through his life. He's

  13. been preaching the word of God for almost, what'd

  14. you say, 48 years? 48 years. Man, you don't look

  15. like that. I know, amazing. God has been good

  16. to you. And he's been through quite a journey

  17. with his life. He's here with his wife, Bessie,

  18. and she's South African as well. They're both

  19. now. Travel the United States of America and

  20. abroad. Go back to South Africa frequently. I've

  21. been with Jan to South Africa. We've done some

  22. crusades there. He operates. He's been pastor,

  23. evangelist, prophet. He operates at a lot of

  24. things. He's earned his doctorate. He's an amazing

  25. man. Speaks about six languages. Today, I'm hoping

  26. you'll just stay with English. That would be

  27. good. We love him, and he's a very close friend.

  28. God knit our hearts together about 10 years ago.

  29. So would you welcome Dr. Jan Venter as he comes

  30. and brings the word this morning? Thank you.

  31. Thank you so much. You may be seated. Thank you.

  32. Thank you. So good to be here with you this morning.

  33. I haven't taken time this week to talk to you

  34. about what is in our product table, but I sure

  35. want to encourage you to just stop there and

  36. go and buy up everything I have there. And then

  37. after you're done, leave an offering. But, you

  38. know, our ministry, we try and absolutely be

  39. open to minister wherever God opens doors. Many

  40. times pastors of big churches have encouraged

  41. me not to go to small churches. I'm serious because

  42. they say it develops a stigma to your ministry.

  43. I have decided to totally disregard, thank you,

  44. that as total utter nonsense. It is tough sometimes,

  45. you know, when you go to small churches, our

  46. budget remains the same. And so to do that and

  47. to get around that, we always ask people, if

  48. you feel, and if you're in this service here

  49. today and you feel encouraged by the Holy Spirit

  50. to join us as a partner in our ministry. both

  51. in prayer and doing something to help us financially

  52. on a monthly basis, we would encourage you to

  53. do that. Please do not take your tithe. Please

  54. do not take anything that belongs to your church

  55. or any commitments that you've spoken out towards

  56. helping here at the church. Change that to support

  57. us. But if you have room in your budget to...

  58. maybe do $25 a month, please stop at our tape

  59. table and just give my wife or somebody at the

  60. table your information. And then we'll call you

  61. once a month to pray with you and your family.

  62. These books on the tape table, this one here

  63. is for those of you that have the first volume.

  64. This is the second book we're just now releasing.

  65. It says, Can You Believe It? Every story in here

  66. is true. And so... What I've done, these are

  67. short, a compilation of short stories. And I've

  68. written it in such a way that it became bathroom

  69. reading material. You know, put it there and

  70. really, you'll enjoy that. You'll find that life

  71. becomes much more easier after you read one of

  72. these stories. The other one is this little booklet

  73. here. It's called The Broken Branch. It's a phenomenal

  74. book in the sense pastors are actually ordering

  75. these from us now, boxes full, and handing it

  76. out to their people. We're dealing with a problem

  77. in our society today that cannot be fixed up

  78. with legislation. It cannot be fixed up with,

  79. you know, with... by using the government. It's

  80. a spiritual problem that God prophesied at the

  81. end days will happen. You know, the hearts of

  82. the children separated from the fathers and the

  83. other way around. It's an epidemic that's taking

  84. place here right now. I've called this book The

  85. Broken Branch. And I know that a vast majority

  86. of you here are struggling with situations like

  87. that where you feel, you know, there's something

  88. wrong in our family. Well, there really isn't,

  89. but it's something that can be fixed up by turning

  90. back to the ways of God on that situation. So

  91. please get yourself a copy of that book. Put

  92. it under your pillow. Sleep on it. Ask God to

  93. make that your lifestyle. Many people have been

  94. asking us for my testimony. This is my testimony

  95. or one of many testimonies. This one deals with

  96. my arm. For those of you that will see me preach

  97. this morning and you'll wonder, you know, is

  98. that guy double -jointed? Well, I'm not double

  99. -jointed. It's just that I don't have an elbow.

  100. And God miraculously, just totally miraculously,

  101. decided to heal this arm. And for the sake of

  102. heavenly humor, he decided to just leave my arm

  103. the way it is. And people said, whoa, what's

  104. going on there? Well, that's my chance to tell

  105. you about the greatness of God. Then finally,

  106. there's a book here. I've got about, I think

  107. we brought about nine different books. You want

  108. to stop there and look at them. This one here

  109. is called, is titled, I Think God Likes Me. And

  110. what it is, you know, people say, well, God don't

  111. like me. He loves me. Big difference. Thank you,

  112. Pastor. Will you throw that out to somebody that

  113. wants it? Just one by one. Just throw it in.

  114. Those are all his buddies. He's throwing it to

  115. all his buddies. Yeah, the book is titled, I

  116. Think God Likes Me. And people said to me, well,

  117. God loves me. Big difference. How many of you

  118. have children? Let me see your hands. How many

  119. of you really, really love your children? Let

  120. me see those hands. Now, one more question. How

  121. many of you at times don't like them? You see,

  122. you know, that's the way it is. That's the way

  123. it is with God. He loves all of us, but you know

  124. there's times when God don't like you. And so...

  125. You got to read that book. It's really a good

  126. book and some good illustrations in there also.

  127. Take your Bible. I want to continue where I left

  128. off on Friday night. We didn't get a chance to

  129. really speak much or teach anything last night.

  130. Wasn't it great the way that God... Thank you,

  131. Pastor. Yes. Okay. Thank you. Wasn't it good

  132. the way that the Holy Spirit worked here last

  133. night? You know, and it's all God. Say it, it's

  134. all God, okay? We are going to try and push this

  135. through until noon hour and then see what happens

  136. after that. But when it gets close to noon, pastor,

  137. just wave at me, will you please? Thank you.

  138. Also, just... Of course, we didn't have time

  139. to hear her testimony, but here's Shiloh sitting

  140. right here up front. She used to, yeah, Shiloh,

  141. for those of you, come on, go ahead and give.

  142. Come here, Shiloh. Come here quickly. Come here.

  143. I think it's worth stopping. Yeah, Shiloh, if

  144. you don't want to sit down right there, it's

  145. fine. You know, she's young, and I know it's

  146. hard for me to expose her in front of somebody

  147. else. Hey, Shiloh. Look, Shiloh, look at Brother

  148. Venter. It's okay. I'm going to just ask a question

  149. and you just confirm it. Is that okay? You just

  150. confirm it. And so I don't want to put her on

  151. the spot. She used to get like, am I correct

  152. that it was thousands of seizures a day? Am I

  153. correct? Raise your hand and just say it's correct.

  154. Yes. And then several years ago, God touched

  155. her. And instantaneously, there's now no more

  156. seizures. Is that correct? I mean, put your hand

  157. up like that and just come on, give God a praise

  158. offering. That's okay. We call that, we call

  159. that, I call that supernatural. It's miraculous.

  160. Or if you want to just get a short explanation

  161. for something like that, it's spelled G -O -D.

  162. God. Come on, give him a praise offering. It's

  163. just the way it is. I also ask, before I start

  164. here, I ask God, on my way here, this here, I

  165. ask God, please give me a word for the church.

  166. I feel so closely attached to the church and

  167. to my friends, Pastor Brad and Sister Jenny and

  168. the kids, Jackie and Jessie Jo, and then their

  169. parents. I mean, and then you. I really should

  170. be the other way around because you're the one

  171. that gives the offering and they just write the

  172. check. But I ask God for a word. And so here

  173. is what God gave me. I put it down in writing.

  174. So if you want to just get a copy of it, there

  175. it is. So just give it to me so I can read it.

  176. You know, the theme this week is God decides

  177. and you choose. But I had nothing to do, you

  178. know, this word has nothing to do with that.

  179. It's just, I asked God, give it to me. So here

  180. it is. Just let it roll because I don't have

  181. it in front of me. So now that is wrong. That's,

  182. just give me the, well, I've got it right here,

  183. so. Yeah, got it? You know, here's the way. I

  184. was never more ready to turn my back on a here

  185. than last here. How many of you agree with that

  186. one? I mean, I was really ready. I waited on

  187. God for a word for you regarding 2018, but I

  188. sense nothing new. Here it is. It'll be a challenging

  189. here that lies ahead. But I see trophies all

  190. around me. As I glance over the appearance of

  191. 2018, I see lion rugs, bear rugs. I see stuffed

  192. up wolves around warm fireplaces. I see the eight

  193. -foot spear of a defeated giant. Go ahead, give

  194. him a praise offering. Yes, it will be a year

  195. of accomplishments. Now remember, the Lord is

  196. saying, many of you have started things in the

  197. past with good intentions, but then you never

  198. finished it. But I'm announcing this here to

  199. be one of completeness. You will start and you

  200. will finish it. This will also be a year of strong

  201. commitments. While some will find pleasure in

  202. remaining as mere spectators, I am placing a

  203. strong desire in the hearts of my people here

  204. at Harrisburg to commit. Yes, I'm bringing people

  205. even from other corners to collect themselves

  206. inside this stadium of gladiators. The term all

  207. hell will break loose. Yeah, all hell will break

  208. loose in the lives of some, but then all of heaven

  209. will also break loose. And in this place, people

  210. will know you are mine and I am yours. Therefore,

  211. sharpen your swords, polish your shields, and

  212. fill yourself with my bread, which I will provide

  213. bountifully. Go ahead and praise him in the house.

  214. Give me the next. Now, while I was waiting on

  215. my knees, you know, for the Lord to give me all

  216. of this, I kept on hearing the chants of spectators,

  217. but they were not crying the usual USA, USA,

  218. USA. But I heard them cry here out of this stadium

  219. of gladiators. Emmanuel, Emmanuel, Emmanuel.

  220. Come on, praise him, will you? Glory to God.

  221. Now, the Lord is saying, raise my banner of victory

  222. among yourselves and rejoice because this will

  223. be the year of the following. Give me the next

  224. slide. First of all, reconfirming, reconfirmation.

  225. I reconfirm your call, Brad and Jenny, as my

  226. shepherds. I reconfirm your call to this congregation

  227. as my people. who are called by my name. And

  228. I post this confirmation on the walls also of

  229. your surroundings. Namely, you are my people

  230. and I will answer you. Secondly, it will be a

  231. year of reassignment. This will be a year of

  232. reassignment. Some will step out and some will

  233. step away. But for anyone leaving, there will

  234. be a handful of others to take their place. I

  235. will assign you and you will not feel out of

  236. place, says the Lord. Come on, praise him. Glory

  237. to God. Number three, God says this will be a

  238. year of encounter. You've prayed and asked for

  239. the outpouring of my spirit. Know this and remember

  240. it. My spirit has indeed already been poured

  241. out, but this will be the year of encounter.

  242. This will be the year in which you will get to

  243. know me like you've never known me before. You

  244. will close 28th saying, it was a year unlike

  245. any other. Yeah, come on, praise him. Glory to

  246. God. You know, I thought this next one was just

  247. absolutely powerful, the way God gave me this

  248. one. God says, this will be a year of timekeepers.

  249. Meaning, I am appointing you as the Ishikar kind

  250. from the Torah tribe, who would bear the burden

  251. for victory and wages. I want you to understand,

  252. I want you to understand time and interpret my

  253. word in connection of these times. I will connect

  254. you to Zebulun because provision for the journey

  255. and the supply for victory is very important.

  256. Come on, give him another praise offering. Glory

  257. to God. Switch it. Finally, make sure you remain

  258. properly identified as my people. So remain to

  259. be a humble people. remain to be a kind people

  260. and remain to be a loving people and a submitted

  261. people. Come on, give him. Stand with me, will

  262. you please? Give the Lord a praise offering.

  263. Come on. Now, while you remain standing, this

  264. morning, Just as I'm about to send this to the

  265. church for them to get it by email, the Holy

  266. Spirit put this in my spirit and said, the heavens,

  267. go and tell them the heavens are shouting with

  268. you. Don't lose your excitement for what God

  269. has called you to do. Your excitement excites

  270. the Lord and his angels. It is your excitement.

  271. In the face of your Jericho or the face of your

  272. Goliath that will provide the victory for other

  273. people. Glory. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's

  274. pray together. Father, I lift up myself and these

  275. people. And sure enough, my friends. Brad and

  276. Jenny and their kids. Lord, I lift them up before

  277. you. And I, first of all, want to say thank you

  278. so much, Lord, for giving them to Basie and I

  279. as an asset. We are, yes, Lord, they are an asset

  280. even to your people here. They certainly are

  281. an asset to your kingdom. And I want to pray,

  282. Lord, that in this year that comes and lies ahead,

  283. that they will get the opportunity to know you

  284. more than ever before. Lord, that they may know

  285. you as you are to be known. And finally, Lord,

  286. I want to pray. Will you help them to understand

  287. the times? The times, Lord, where we are right

  288. now and the time where they are right now and

  289. the time relating, Lord, to your spiritual river

  290. that you have symbolically allowed them to be

  291. placed right here on the corner as the river

  292. is making a turn. Lord, let that be symbolic

  293. as to what is happening in the life of Oregon

  294. in Jesus' name. And we thank you, Lord. Give

  295. him a hand clap of praise, will you? Glory to

  296. God. Hallelujah. You may be seated. Thank you

  297. very much. Boy, can you believe 15 minutes went

  298. by for that one. And I got so much I want to

  299. share with you. Our theme this weekend is, you

  300. know, let, I mean, God decides and you choose.

  301. You know, God is the one, and I'm not going to

  302. have time to recap on what we said on Friday

  303. night. I would highly recommend you get that

  304. CD because the one leads up to where we are right

  305. now. But it's very important that we get to a

  306. place where we can understand God better. Because

  307. as I go around in the world and after 48 years

  308. of full -time ministry, I realize more and more

  309. that people just don't know how God works. And

  310. you understand that if you can understand better

  311. how God functions, your faith level is going

  312. to increase substantially. Faith does not need

  313. any homework. Faith just needs to get to a place

  314. where we comprehend. You see, because faith is,

  315. faith is God in action. See, all we need to do

  316. is just let faith rise up in our hearts by understanding

  317. how God works. You understand when you listen

  318. to how people pray. Oftentimes, people pray out

  319. of ignorance. Fear, when you see people with

  320. fear, they are afraid because they just don't

  321. know God. You understand? In fact, John writes

  322. very clearly, kind of a scary verse in 1 John

  323. 4, when he says that those who have fear have

  324. no love. He says, in fact, when you have perfect

  325. love, it casts out all fear. So he brings the

  326. conclusion to that. Go and read 1 John 4. And

  327. he says very clearly that if you have fear in

  328. your heart, that means you really just don't

  329. know God. You see, you know God, I mean, you

  330. have fear in your heart because you've only read

  331. or so about God. Once you understand who really

  332. is on your side, then you will understand why

  333. Paul writes very clearly to the Romans, since

  334. God is for us. I know the modern translation

  335. says if, but really, I want to just add my little

  336. bit in there and call it since. Because God is

  337. for you, right? And so since God, we're talking

  338. about God. We're talking about Yahweh. We're

  339. talking about Jehovah. We're talking about the

  340. creator of heaven and earth. Since God is for

  341. you, who can be against you? Yes. Now, it makes

  342. it even better. It makes it better if you know,

  343. you understand, if you know the amount has already

  344. been deposited. If you know that you have to

  345. go and draw $100, but yesterday you know that

  346. your bank account was close to zero. Now you

  347. want to go and draw your $100 that you need,

  348. but you know, you saw it. It was posted. It was

  349. brought under your attention. You checked it

  350. out on the internet that an amount of a million

  351. dollars has already been deposited into your

  352. account. At first, you could not believe it.

  353. But now you checked it over and over. You picked

  354. up the phone. You called the bank, and they confirmed.

  355. Yeah, I don't know why you don't believe it.

  356. It's there. A million dollars has been deposited

  357. into your account. And it's yours. Now, do you

  358. understand how that changes the way you approach

  359. the $100 check? Yes? Amen? You know, here's the

  360. problem. Have you ever believed a lie? How many

  361. of you have ever believed a lie? You know, how

  362. many of you? Well, I'm going to tell you a story

  363. first. You know. This lady meets the guy as he's

  364. about to walk up to the door of the truck stop.

  365. And she meets him. Actually, she first stares

  366. at him for the longest time. She stares at him.

  367. While she's staring at him, he notices that and

  368. kind of makes him feel a little uncomfortable.

  369. But then as he walks up to the door, she approaches

  370. quickly from behind. Excuse me, sir. He turns

  371. around and then she says to him, you know, I

  372. apologize for staring at you the way I did, but

  373. you remind me so much of my late son. He died

  374. in Iraq. And man. When I saw you, she said, it

  375. was just like my entire world changed. And so

  376. he said, ma 'am, no, that's fine. So she chatted

  377. with him a little bit. And then on her way out

  378. back to the car, as she's standing in the store,

  379. the guy's ready to pay. She says, can I ask you

  380. a small favor? It won't mean much to you, but

  381. would you mind? As I walk out of here to just

  382. cry out, bye mom. And so he says, sure enough,

  383. I could do that. And Jenny, as this lady walks

  384. out, I mean, he puts a little extra enthusiasm

  385. behind his greeting. Bye mom. And so she walks

  386. out to her car. And then when he pays for the

  387. water that he placed down the counter, the guy

  388. gives him a bill of $46. He says. what is the

  389. $46 for? I'm only buying water. He says, well,

  390. you're paying for your mom too, aren't you? And

  391. so he runs out and he's actually just in time

  392. just before she pulls away. He opens the door

  393. and she resists somewhat, but he kind of grabs

  394. her by the leg and pulls her leg just like I've

  395. pulled yours. You know, it's a lie. It's a lie.

  396. You know, it's actually something that's been

  397. floating around on the internet, on Facebook.

  398. How many of you have actually gotten that? You've

  399. read that before. There's several hands. A lie.

  400. It's amazing how in the spiritual world, people

  401. will grasp or last onto a lie and then believe

  402. a lie. See, when you come to the gospel, it is...

  403. the truth. Come on, give him a hand clap of praise.

  404. It is the truth. When you look at any of the

  405. promises of God, it is all truth. In fact, I'm

  406. telling you, we said it here this morning that

  407. God relies heavily, if I can use that word, God

  408. relies heavily on your and my report about his

  409. glory. He loves it. In fact, God, if I could

  410. call it that, God hates it when people have unbelief.

  411. God doesn't, he doesn't smile on it easily. He

  412. calls it, in fact, Paul, and we'll read it in

  413. a minute. Paul calls it, Paul calls it, Paul

  414. calls it, sorry. Paul calls it an evil, unbelieving

  415. heart. God wants you to let your heart believe

  416. the truth. Stop believing a lie. Yeah, go ahead

  417. and praise him. Stop believing a lie. Can you

  418. throw up our, can you put on the screen, not

  419. throw, but can you put the verse on that we used

  420. over the weekend and that's Ecclesiastes. He

  421. says Ecclesiastes 3, and you remember on Friday,

  422. I told you that when you look at Ecclesiastes,

  423. the preacher there was explaining what the days

  424. of our lives are like. He says the days of our

  425. life, if you read the first few verses, in fact,

  426. the first 14 verses, you will read as he gives

  427. us an account of how our lives are. Our lives

  428. are really with stop and goes. In fact. That's

  429. a great name for a restaurant, stop and go. But

  430. it's also a great name for any human being. We

  431. are stop and goers. Time to be born and time

  432. to die. Time to plant, time to pluck up that

  433. which is planted. You know, chapters. They are

  434. beginnings and ends. Full chapters. You have

  435. a beginning and then you have an end. And these

  436. are all little chapters. And in between there,

  437. I mean, the whole thing in between, we call that

  438. history. And the history have all sorts of up

  439. and downers and they're good and bad and they're

  440. fast and slow and so on. We have these, you know.

  441. They're the chapters or the days of our lives.

  442. But then he comes and he switches from the comparisons

  443. that he used there for 14 verses. And he comes

  444. here to verse 14 and he says, now he's switching

  445. over to the way God is. He says, I know that

  446. whatsoever God does, it's forever. You see, he

  447. says, nothing can be put to it nor anything taken

  448. from it. Here, let me explain it like this. You

  449. see, if you looked at man's life, then you'll

  450. see man. If you look at the black here on the

  451. platform, I don't have a thing here to write.

  452. But if you look at the black there, just imagine

  453. that that's a straight line. And you have the

  454. beginning there. And then you have the end, the

  455. arrow that's pointing there. And that's the end.

  456. That's the cutoff point. And in between here,

  457. we have all the in -betweens. And so in between

  458. here on this line here is where somewhere where

  459. your puppy was born and there your cat died over

  460. there and so on. But not so with God. You understand,

  461. if I had to use God, then I would use this as

  462. a circle. You see, with God, everything is in

  463. a circle. See, with God, there's no beginning

  464. and there's no end. Everything evolves around.

  465. You remember one of the times I was here, I talked

  466. to you about the wheel. And you remember that?

  467. I talked to you about the wheel and I said everything

  468. really, when you want to work and understand,

  469. you want to understand how God works, then you

  470. have to be able to understand the wheel. Everything

  471. God does, he creates like a wheel. That's why

  472. you'll see the planets, they're all round, the

  473. galaxies, they're all round, your head is all

  474. round and so on. Most. Now, again, you find a

  475. square head, you know. But so he says the first

  476. 14 verses, that's the life of man. And then he

  477. comes here to verse 14 or 15. And he says, now,

  478. I know that whatever God does, it's forever.

  479. It's eternity. It's no end. He says, and God

  480. does it. the end of verse 14, that men should

  481. fear before him. And that, he says, here it is.

  482. That, watch this, that which has been is now.

  483. That, better, easier English, that which already

  484. happened is actually happening now. That's what

  485. that verse is saying. And then he says, and that

  486. which is still to happen actually already happened.

  487. You see, I call that, you understand, I call

  488. that, there's a word for it in the English, and

  489. that's the word manifest. You look at the word

  490. manifest. Manifest means it is appearing right

  491. now. It means brought to completeness. It's the

  492. word completeness means there's nothing that

  493. still has to happen. It's now manifesting. It's

  494. like, you understand, here is the line of man.

  495. Just look at me for a moment. There's man's line.

  496. And then you have the beginning, Adam. And then

  497. you have the end, wherever that will be at the

  498. end of the sixth spiritual day, millennial day.

  499. And in between here, Calvary happened. Right?

  500. More or less how many years ago did Calvary,

  501. more or less how many years ago was Christ crucified?

  502. 2000. Now, let me ask that again. More or less

  503. how many years ago was Christ crucified? How

  504. much? Oh, somebody is finally getting it. Where?

  505. Hall. So the real answer is before the foundation.

  506. That means that really what happened 4 ,000 or

  507. 2 ,000 years ago was the cross what? Manifested.

  508. But it actually already happened before time.

  509. You understand? So that's why I want you to,

  510. I'm mentioning this here for a reason this morning

  511. because it is going to help you in the area of

  512. your faith. So that you can understand. What

  513. merely happened here 2 ,000 years ago was something

  514. manifested. It appeared what actually already

  515. happened. That's why Paul writes and he says

  516. about some of the illustrations in the Old Testament

  517. like the Ark of the Covenant and many of those

  518. things. He says those were shadows of what? Things

  519. to come. You remember, you read that in the Bible.

  520. It says those were shadows of things to come.

  521. What does that mean? You know, what does it mean

  522. when you see my shadow? There's my shadow, but

  523. you don't see me. If you see my shadow, what

  524. does it mean? It means I'm there, right? The

  525. fact that you don't see me doesn't matter. You

  526. see my shadow. So those things that happened

  527. in the Old Testament that were shadows of things

  528. to come, what does that mean? It means that...

  529. It was something that was pointing at something

  530. that already happened. It's already happened.

  531. You see, if you can understand this, then you'll

  532. understand Hebrews 3. Let's go there quickly.

  533. Hebrews chapter 3. Now, I want to read Hebrews

    Hebrews 3 chapter mention

  534. 3 in the light of what I just said. It already

  535. happened. And so after it's happened, see, whatever

  536. happened and it's... or is brought to completeness,

  537. that means there's nothing that needs to be added.

  538. After that, I can rest. All my work is done.

  539. See, that's what it is. All of what needed to

  540. be done was done before it's manifesting. You

  541. understand what I'm saying? So let's read Hebrews

  542. 3. Are you there? Do you have your Bible open?

  543. It may be something that you want to highlight

  544. now and again. So I'm going to read it like this.

  545. Therefore, holy brothers. Holy moly, it's already

  546. 12 o 'clock. So let's quickly just, Pastor, is

  547. there something I need to do in particular right

  548. now? I mean, releasing people or can I? Okay.

  549. Can I fly? Can I fly a little bit? I just thought

  550. maybe there's something in your program that

  551. happens at 12 o 'clock. Okay, so he says here,

  552. therefore, holy brothers, sharers in a heavenly

  553. calling, consider Jesus the apostle and high

  554. priest of our confession. Now, what he's saying

  555. is, we're going to use him as an example. And

  556. he says, who was faithful to the one who appointed

  557. him. He's talking about Jesus who was faithful

  558. to the one who appointed him. As Moses also was

  559. to his household. For this one is considered

  560. worthy of greater glory than Moses. Inasmuch

  561. as the one who builds it has a greater honor

  562. than the house. For every house is built by someone.

  563. But the one who built all things. Right? It's

  564. God. So he's talking, he's using some comparisons

  565. just so that we can understand. He's using these

  566. illustrations and he says, now, just like you

  567. build your house. And then come to a place of

  568. completeness. So we're talking about God who

  569. builds his house. And he says, now, and Moses

  570. was faithful in all his house as a servant for

  571. a testimony to the things that would be spoken.

  572. But Christ was faithful as his son over his house,

  573. whose house, excuse me, whose. house we are if

  574. we hold fast to our confidence and we hope we

  575. can be proud of now uh let me just i'm gonna

  576. read all that he says therefore just as the holy

  577. spirit says today you know every time i come

  578. here pastor brad every time i come here you are

  579. bound to quote uh or to prophetically or spiritually

  580. mention part of my sermon and you did it again

  581. this morning Always does it. And here he says

  582. today, when you hear his voice, do not harden

  583. your heart. You remember you said that. And he

  584. says, in the day of testing in the wilderness,

  585. he's talking about them, what happened in the

  586. wilderness. How many of you at times have been

  587. so astoundingly alarmed at the way that they

  588. did not believe God? After God would do this,

  589. God would do that, then they would. Be filled

  590. with unbelief again. Every time I look in this

  591. direction, I hear Stephanie. Is there a Stephanie

  592. right here? Stephanie, is there? Do you know

  593. a Stephanie, sir? Stephanie. Here. You. This

  594. man here in front. I'm talking about you. Somebody

  595. in your life that has a Stephanie. I'm just saying,

  596. I hear Stephanie. And so I believe that God is

  597. fiction to bring new hope, new encouragement,

  598. new strength, new vigor in the life of Stephanie.

  599. Is that you? Are you Stephanie? No? Is there

  600. somebody in your life that needs encouragement?

  601. There she is. You're Stephanie. I'm going to

  602. pray for you at the end. Are you connected to

  603. this man somehow as a friend or somebody? You

  604. know him? Okay. Why is God showing me? I'm sorry?

  605. Okay, okay, okay. Okay, so. Now, he says, when

  606. you hear his voice, he says, don't harden your

  607. hearts like in the rebellion, where your fathers

  608. tested me by trial and saw my works for 40 years.

  609. Therefore, I was angry. He was what? I was angry

  610. with them, and I said, They always go astray

  611. in their hearts and they do not know my ways.

  612. They don't know my ways. And so I swore in my

  613. anger. That's verse 11. They will never enter

  614. my rest. Why am I focusing on the rest issue

  615. here? I'm going to connect that to your faith

  616. here in just two or three more minutes. He says,

  617. watch out, brothers, lest there be in some of

  618. you an evil, unbelieving heart with a result

  619. that will fall away. Now, look at verse 16. He

  620. says now. They, when they heard all of these

  621. things, were they disobedient? Yeah. Surely it

  622. was not all who went out from Egypt through Moses.

  623. And with whom was he angry then? Was it not with

  624. those who sinned, whose dead bodies fell in the

  625. wilderness? And to whom did he swear that they

  626. would not enter into his rest except those who

  627. were disobedient? And so we see that they were

  628. not able to enter because of unbelief. The rest

  629. of that remains for the people of God. Then,

  630. verse 4, therefore, let us fear while there remains

  631. a promise of entering into his rest. What does

  632. it mean, God's rest? Let me tell you what it

  633. means. It means God decided, he did it, finished

  634. it, completed it, and all you have to now do

  635. is say, Lord. I believe it will manifest. Yes?

  636. It's already done. See, everything you need,

  637. everything you need has already been done, made,

  638. finished, completed. Yes? See, it's been finished.

  639. It's completed. People don't understand that

  640. because, you know, we're connecting this with

  641. eternity, thoughts of eternity. We don't understand

  642. eternity because we're time creatures. We're

  643. connected to time. But give me Genesis 2 quickly,

  644. verse 2 and 4. Let me show you an idea, or I

  645. may have mentioned this to you before, but I'll

  646. just quickly throw it in here. These are the

  647. generations of the heavens. This is concerning

  648. the creation, okay? So these are the generations

  649. of the heavens and of the earth when they were

  650. created in the day that the Lord God made what?

  651. The earth and the heavens and... Every plant

  652. before it was. He made every plant before it

  653. was. Come on. I want that to sink in. He made

  654. it before it was. He made it before it grew.

  655. Look at the rest of that verse. He made it before

  656. it grew. So it was there even before it showed.

  657. Before it manifested. It was already made. It's

  658. like your miracle that you need. It's already

  659. made. All you need to do is. Put faith in action.

  660. Understand it's done. It's finished. It's completed.

  661. So God decided what's good for you. All you now

  662. have to do is choose to follow. Choose to obey.

  663. Choose to say, Lord, I'm heading in your direction.

  664. You already established the direction, so I'm

  665. just now following. Does that make sense? And

  666. so therefore, I want to close this by saying

  667. it this way. This way. There is actually a miracle

  668. in your mouth. So all you have to do is say that

  669. which you believe. With a heart we believe, with

  670. a mouth confession is made. So all you do is

  671. you confess it. You speak it. Why can I speak?

  672. I don't confess somebody else's Cadillac and

  673. say it's going to be mine. You understand? Because

  674. that's stupid. You know, I mean, you're suffering

  675. from, you're struggling from the spirit of stupidness,

  676. you know. The only reason I can, the only reason

  677. I can connect to a confession is if I connect

  678. to something that I know has already been done.

  679. It's already done. Say it's done. See, that's

  680. why when we have somebody we pray for, we can

  681. pray for them as if we already have it. So that's

  682. what happens with God. He calls things into becoming

  683. real as if they already exist. Why? Because it

  684. actually already exists. He already made it.

  685. It's already done. So he's calling that into

  686. existence which is or which is not. He calls

  687. it into existence. And so here this morning,

  688. God is turning your life around. If you can believe

  689. it and you're a child of God, start believing

  690. what he did. Stop believing what he didn't. Start

  691. believing which he already created. Stop. believing

  692. a lie of the enemy that says that it's going

  693. to be the other direction know his will come

  694. on give stand on your feet and give god a hand

  695. cup of praise glory to god glory to god if you
