A privilege of always being here is our honor,
-
and my wife Sharon's with me this time. Well,
-
she's been here before, not the last couple times,
-
maybe even. Great, you know, you have such a
-
great church, and so much going for you in this
-
auditorium with the worship and the word and
-
presence and great heart. I'm still amazed when
-
I drive out here, where are the people? through
-
all the wilderness to get here. And then there's
-
this massive building church, you know. I congratulate
-
Brad and Jen on their journey with the church.
-
They're very gifted people. You know, when I
-
emcee, I can't think of the last time I got to
-
sing. I just have to, you know, teach. I have
-
one talent. Brad, he can sing. He can prophesy.
-
He can preach. He can teach. He can raise money.
-
He can chop wood. Me, I just, boring word of
-
God, you know. Brad, if it doesn't go that well,
-
he just starts singing. And if that doesn't go
-
well, he starts prophesying. Me? This is it.
-
If this doesn't go well, there's nothing else.
-
All right. We have a great God. Where's the brother
-
from Uganda, the pastor? Where is he at? What's
-
he doing in the back room? A phone call from
-
Uganda. Okay, tell him he missed his prophecy.
-
If he appears like Jesus in the rapture, I might.
-
All right, that's what I want to do this morning.
-
We have only so much time. No, no, no, I'm going
-
to preach now. If I remember him, it'll be at
-
the end. Bless him in Jesus' name. He gets that
-
much. All right. It's 11 o 'clock. You're out
-
of here at noon. Is that right? Okay. Are you
-
out of here at noon? Does Brad ever go over?
-
Yes, again. Okay. My disciple. I'm going to quote
-
a scripture and then we're going to go into some
-
teaching, some preaching and impartation. And
-
hopefully I can do something that would affect
-
you this morning that you took time to be in
-
church. However you got here, if you're brand
-
new or if you're not new to the building, but
-
you're kind of new to the whole thing, you know,
-
the Holy Spirit and presence and word and people's
-
passion. And maybe you're putting your life together.
-
You know, maybe it's spiritual, maybe it's physical,
-
maybe it's mental, emotional, financial, relational.
-
There's so many areas of life that we have to
-
put things together. And you might be on that
-
journey of just putting things together right
-
now. And you just kind of put one step in front
-
of the other and believe in that you can put
-
your life together, believe in that you will
-
be blessed because you see so many people here
-
that are blessed. I'm talking to you. If you
-
are a person that's been on a journey for a long
-
time and... You have somehow got stuck. Somehow
-
you got a little bit into a routine and a rut,
-
and life is no longer fresh. It's not the life
-
you expected. Or worse, you have disappointment,
-
disillusionment, a little bit of cynicism, criticism,
-
and reaction, resistance to life. It could be
-
that you have... Physical limitations and other
-
limitations that have come your way that you
-
didn't expect. They're surprises. It could be
-
that the marriage didn't work out and you thought
-
for sure everything would work out and it didn't
-
happen. It could be that your children aren't
-
turning out the way you thought they would. And
-
so now you're questioning your parenting and
-
questioning your wisdom and your ability to even
-
be a great parent. You live under some guilt
-
and some strain and it's in your mind all the
-
time. And there could be many, many things in
-
this room. That would cause a person to think
-
about life and think about where you are and
-
think about what you can do about it. I'm going
-
to go to John 10, and I'm just going to quote
-
it and build a little bit there, and then we're
-
going to go into the actual core of the message.
-
But this is my message this morning, taking your
-
life to the next level. How do you take your
-
life to the next level? Now, whether you accept
-
it or not, believe it or not, or know it or not,
-
your life has a next level. And that next level
-
is not a bad level. It's not a level that's going
-
to beat you up, disappoint you, and you don't
-
even want to go to the next level because the
-
next level might be filled with more trial. You've
-
already had enough trial. Can I just slip in
-
the seed and the thought that the next level
-
for you is a great level, a good level, a blessed
-
level, a favored level, a level that God wants
-
to put his hand in your life and take you to
-
another level in your life. Can someone say a
-
big amen? And so there's a next level. for every
-
person in this room. In John chapter 10 and verse
John 10 chapter mention
-
10, when Jesus was teaching people that really
-
didn't understand life, and in Jesus' day, he
-
had different groups of people that he addressed,
-
and a lot of them had it wrong. The Pharisees
-
had it wrong, the Sadducees had it wrong, and
-
even the Jewish synagogue followers had it wrong.
-
They had piled their whole life with... and other
-
kinds of laws. They took the Ten Commandments,
-
made 100 of them. They took the Daily Commandments
-
and made 400 of them. They were living under
-
a lot of... unnecessary bondage, unnecessary
-
limitations, unnecessary guilt. There wasn't
-
a supernatural realm for them at this point.
-
There's no temple with a most holy place as in
-
Tabernacle of the Most Old Testament with the
-
presence, glory, and power, and voice, and all
-
that. They didn't experience that. They've had
-
400 years of deadness. The spiritual piece of
-
the synagogue is dead. Everything about the religions
-
is dead. All the Gentile religions, philosophical
-
religions were dead. And so Jesus really did
-
enter a wilderness, a wilderness of religion,
-
a wilderness in the intellectual realm, the emotional
-
realm, and healing. There was no healing, miracles,
-
power, supernatural going on anywhere for hundreds
-
of years. And so when Jesus comes on the scene,
-
he's dealing with the people that have a very
-
low -level view of life, a very low -level expectation
-
that anything can change. If you got a disease
-
in those days, it was your death warrant. If
-
you had some kind of a crippleness or limitation,
-
your life was ruined. If something happened to
-
you, one of your eyes or one of your hands, and
-
you couldn't work, your life was ruined. There
-
was no hope for you to ever have a good life
-
because there was nothing you could do about
-
it. There was no other system you could follow.
-
Even your family might put you out if you were
-
that person because they couldn't afford you.
-
What difficult for these people. Now, Jesus comes
-
along. He's talking to these people. And he's
-
talking about life. And you'll recognize the
-
scripture where Jesus says, I've come to give
-
you life. And I've come to give you life differently.
-
I've come to give you more life, higher life,
-
better life, overflow life. And anybody that
-
comes in any other way but me, you're a thief
-
and a robber. And you don't understand what I'm
-
saying. But if you would come through me, there's
-
only one way to get the life. If you would come
-
through me, there's life for you. And I'm telling
-
you right now, there's better life. Matter of
-
fact, I'm telling you, there's more than better.
-
There's overflow. There's abundant. There's a
-
life that only you dreamt about. dream about
-
life, but you put the dream out. But I'm telling
-
you that I can make your dream come to pass.
-
I can bring your life to a higher level. I can
-
bless you no matter what anybody says. I can
-
bless you no matter how you feel, no matter what
-
you've gone through, no matter what the circumstance
-
is, no matter what the limitation is. I'm the
-
God who blesses. I am a good God. I'm a favorable
-
God. And I've come to bring you good things into
-
your life. Now that Is the truth. But they couldn't
-
handle it. They couldn't grasp it. It's like
-
someone walking up to you when you're suffering
-
and everything's going wrong and they'd say,
-
but the best is yet to come. Well, you know,
-
how do I know if I'm going to believe in you?
-
You know, even if he's a good prophet or whatever,
-
you have so much hurt and so many things that
-
have happened. But if Jesus says to you, the
-
best is yet to come, you better lift your head
-
and say, the best is yet to come. Because that's
-
exactly what's going to come. It's not just the
-
good, the best. And I want to prophesy over this
-
congregational. over every person that is here
-
in this meeting today. And I'm going to say to
-
you, thus saith the Lord, the best is yet to
-
come into your life. The best is yet to come
-
into your life. The overflow, the good, the powerful,
-
the supernatural, the life that you have dreamt
-
about. The life that you have dreamt about. And
-
you have put the dream away. I'm saying to you,
-
recapture the dream. Because all things are possible
-
with the living God. We don't serve a dead God.
-
We serve a living God. We serve the God of impossibilities.
-
And God comes and says, I have life for you.
-
But we try to limit it. And God says, do not
-
limit what I'm going to do. Because what I'm
-
going to do is going to be mind -boggling. And
-
it's going to be so good. People are going to
-
stare at you and say, how did you get that? How
-
did you go there? How did you get that? that
-
blessing and you're going to smile and say, I
-
have a God who only gives the best and the best
-
is yet to come. And the best is yet to come for
-
me and for you. Would you like the best in your
-
life? It's that revelation of God that our society
-
needs because we have a lot of messed up people.
-
We have a lot of broken people. We have a lot
-
of disillusioned people. We have a lot of people
-
that have no trust in the scriptures or God himself.
-
But I'm telling you right now, if you can believe
-
with me the scriptures, that Jesus says, I come
-
to bring you life. Come on, shout life. Life.
-
And then say, overflowing. Overflowing. It's
-
a life that God wants you to have. Now, this
-
is the great news. If you don't like the life
-
you have, You can change it. There's nobody in
-
this room doomed to die the way you are right
-
now. It doesn't matter how messed up you are.
-
The people in Portland are more messed up than
-
Harrisburg. It doesn't matter how messed up you
-
are. It doesn't matter how many mistakes you've
-
made. It doesn't matter how many bad decisions
-
you're living out. It doesn't matter what everybody
-
else says to you. I'm telling you right now,
-
if you will believe my word for your life today
-
that you can take it to the next level, you can
-
change your life, you can make a decision, and
-
you will look back on today and say, there was
-
a day when I decided my life was not going to
-
be the life I was going to live. I was going
-
to change it for a better life, and so I reached
-
out to a better door, better entrance and I reached
-
into the future and lo and behold, it's been
-
the best. God wants you to believe. Now here's
-
my definition about taking life to your next
-
level. Taking life to your next level requires
-
a few things. First slide. Taking life to the
-
next level requires a breaking out, a letting
-
go, a stepping up, And allowing things to unfold.
-
That's one of the hardest. At God's pace, that's
-
truly difficult for me. Ways and timing. Now
-
let's look at this. Let's think about it just
-
for a second. This is my entry into the message
-
as far as we can get today. But taking your life
-
to the next level requires you're going to have
-
to break out. And when you break out, you're
-
going to have to let go. And when you let go,
-
you're also going to have to step up. And when
-
you step up, you're going to have to allow God
-
to unfold. And when God unfolds, his timetable
-
is so different than yours, you might try to
-
put your grubby little hands in it and mess it
-
up. And so you have to allow God to unfold. You
-
have to allow God to pace and make the doors
-
and make the ways and make the timing and make
-
the supernatural things happen and so that your
-
life moves to the next level. I'm not talking
-
about you taking your life to the next level
-
on your own smarts, your own decisions, your
-
own plan, your own everything. I'm talking about
-
you throwing your life into the mighty hands
-
of God and letting God take you to the next level.
-
There is a difference. Now. In Revelation chapter
-
4, verse 1. Revelation chapter 4, verse 1. I'm
-
a teacher. I understand this is written to the
-
seven churches of Asia Minor, which were the
-
seven churches that were key places in those
-
geographical areas. And I understand John the
-
Apostle is on the Isle of Patmos and he's...
-
Writing Revelation. That his open heavens. And
-
he's writing to the churches. And then he moves
-
into the realm of prophecy. And he moves into
-
the realm of the end times. And everything that
-
should be fulfilled. And you have the seven vials.
-
The seven trumpets. And all the sevens. And finally
-
they come. I understand the book of Revelation
-
is kind of a complicated book. And it's all about
-
John and what he saw. But Revelation chapter
Revelation 4 chapter mention
-
4. I'm going to use this in a personal way. I'm
-
going to apply it to you. And I'm going to talk
-
about you being this verse for a moment. I want
-
you to apply it. To your own life. I want you
-
to look at it. And I want you to let me exegete
-
it just a little bit. That is give a little bit
-
of definition. Because this is your verse. Now
-
if you're going to put a verse up in your house
-
somewhere. In your office. Somewhere in your
-
car. About this message. And you're going to
-
remember that Frank DiMaggio talked about taking
-
your life. And the life you dreamt of. And an
-
overflowing life. And we can go to the next level.
-
And we don't have to live in the past. This would
-
be the scripture that you could maybe take and
-
post somewhere. And remind you about what I'm
-
saying. Everyone say after this. John has now
-
gone through the encountering with Jesus and
-
after those things, he now begins to give revelation
-
and vision and begins to write things out. But
-
the after this, I'm going to apply to your life
-
and my life that a lot of things that come to
-
us come after certain situations have happened
-
in our life. The darkest times are the times
-
where God speaks next. The things where you go
-
through that are the hardest and the most disillusioned,
-
after that, after the darkness, after the hardness,
-
after the trial, after the fire, after the circumstance,
-
after you go through brokenness, after you go
-
through disloyalty and abuse, and after you go
-
through your best friend walking out or whatever
-
it might be, I want to say that every one of
-
us have an after this, and after this, you can
-
begin to expect something great to happen. And
-
this is what John is saying. But this is interesting.
-
When you look at the original language, not to
-
bore you, but it's interesting that the original
-
language is so much colorful than the English
-
language, the Greek language. When he says after
-
this, it could read like this. Pause. Stop. For
-
as long as it takes. Because something new is
-
about to unfold. So within the terminology used
-
here in this language after this is also the
-
language saying stop, pause, and expect. Because
-
this is a break in your timetable. And after
-
this, I'm drawing a line, and I want you to expect
-
something new that's going to unfold. And I want
-
you to begin, and what's the next words in the
-
verse? I looked. Everyone say, I looked. And
-
so if you will pause with me, and if you would
-
kind of shake off stuff, and if you would kind
-
of bring yourself up into a different realm in
-
the Holy Spirit, and if you would kind of pause
-
in the kingdom of God for your own life and take
-
a deep breath and say, I don't understand all
-
this stuff. back there I'm not sure I understand
-
all the stuff down there but I am going to pause
-
in the spirit I'm going to take a deep breath
-
I'm going to let go of all the anxiety and the
-
fear and the disappointment and the criticism
-
and the resentment and maybe even the bitterness
-
of what has happened in my life in the past or
-
the littleness or the limitation or the problem
-
and I'm going to take a pause I'm going to take
-
a breath and then I'm going to say and I expect
-
something good to start happening now And that's
-
what John is saying. Now I turn and I looked.
-
I began to focus and I saw a door. Everyone say
-
a door. So John says, and I saw a door. Now,
-
I want you, without me having to go through all
-
the scriptures on this, I just want to say, and
-
I hope you write it down, have your note taken.
-
If not, listen to it again, audibly, whatever.
-
Everybody in this room has a door in front of
-
you. Every person. The door is significant in
-
scripture as meaning there's an entry into something
-
else coming. You have to go to the door to open
-
that door. That door is an invisible door. It's
-
a door in the heavenlies. It's a door that exists.
-
But it's truly the metaphor that Paul used when
-
he says, and I'm moving ahead and there's a great
-
effectual door. Open to me, but there are many
-
adversaries not letting me through the door.
-
So I need you to pray because this door is so
-
great. Come on, shout great. This door is so
-
effectual. I need to go through it. But there's
-
many adversaries. Now, that is your situation.
-
That's my situation. There's a great door in
-
front of me, and that door could mean a lot of
-
things to everybody in this room, but everybody
-
has a door in the invisible realm, and that door
-
represents. Actually, in the original, it's not
-
the word door. It's the word vault. He says,
-
so there's a vault ready to open in the heavens
-
that's filled with mysteries. And it's opening
-
to you because you're going to move into a new
-
area of life. And the vault has in it many things
-
that you cannot even understand because they're
-
mysteries. But in that vault are all my promises
-
and prophecies and healing and miracles and words
-
and everything I'm going to do in your life.
-
That vault is... full of great things that I'm
-
going to do with you. That vault is full of strength.
-
It's full of blessing. It's full of favor. It's
-
full of faith. It's full of vision. The vault
-
is overflowing with stuff and your name is on
-
it. So don't stand on this side of the door.
-
I want you to push through the door and I want
-
you to get into your vault and I want you to
-
see that it's Christmas time for you. That there
-
is so much. Behind that door. And you're expecting
-
so little. The sin of most of us is not that
-
we aim too high. We aim too low and hit it. It's
-
not that we aim high. It's not that we expect
-
much. We judge God's nature by our sin. We judge
-
God's nature by our flaw. We get into life and
-
we begin to judge ourselves. If we have a flaw,
-
if we've made a mistake, then we have to limit
-
our vision because we don't deserve it. It won't
-
happen now. I don't have the resource. I don't
-
have the money. I want to just say to you, if
-
you let me just build faith into you, there's
-
a door for you, and that door is not... standing
-
there with angels by it saying, you can't come
-
in. You're not good enough. You have too much
-
baggage. You're an embarrassment to the kingdom
-
of God. You're an embarrassment to heaven. All
-
of heaven is talking about you right now. And
-
you're not to go through the door because you
-
just are a double -minded weak person. That is
-
only what the devil says. You are not in Christ.
-
You are whole in Christ. You are the person that's
-
accepted. And God says, I want you to move through
-
the door. And the adversaries begin to come with
-
guilt and shame and knock you down. But you've
-
got to to press through the door in the mighty
-
name of Jesus Christ. You got to believe that
-
the door is not based on your goodness. It is
-
not based on your perfection. It's not based
-
on everything you do right. It's based on the
-
man, Jesus Christ. So when you get to the door
-
and the adversary starts flooding, you just say,
-
I'm sorry. I'm sorry about you guys wasting your
-
time here. I'm going through the door and you
-
have nothing to do with it. But you know, you're
-
no good. You're right. And you know, you're nothing
-
but a big fat liar. You're right. I am. And you
-
have so many problems. I have more problems than
-
even hell knows about. I have a lot of problems.
-
Yes. And you know, you made that and made a lot
-
of mistakes. And I want you just to take everything
-
you're saying and go see my lawyer. His name
-
is Jesus. And he'll talk with you about it. But
-
I can't. I can't. I can't talk with you. It's
-
not even legal for me to talk with you. Heaven
-
told me not to talk with you. I knew this was
-
coming, so you just have to go see him. And as
-
far as me, I don't even understand how I get
-
through this door. I don't even know why God
-
would let me through the door. But I'm telling
-
you right now, I'm going through the door. And
-
behind that door are good things for me and my
-
family and my family tree and my children and
-
my children's children. And I'm going to start
-
a whole new blessing that's going to trickle
-
down all the way through all of my family trees
-
because I am the beginning of a door -opening
-
generation. So what you do is you take your right
-
hand. And I want you to put it about right there.
-
I want you to think that what I'm saying has
-
spiritual significance. And that the door in
-
scripture is a metaphor, it's a symbol, it's
-
an analogy because we can understand God by natural
-
things. Anthropomorphisms. Is it theology that
-
you understand God because it says the hand of
-
the Lord and the eyes of the Lord is upon you?
-
Well, God has no hands and no eyes, but we understand
-
it because he uses the natural to open up the
-
spiritual so that we can grasp the truth. There's
-
a door in front of you right now. I don't care
-
what the devil says. I want you to put your hand
-
on the handle right now. Just put your hand on
-
it. You got your door? Say out loud, in Jesus'
-
name. Today, my day, I'm moving through the door.
-
And behind it is the best. I no longer will whine
-
and make excuses. I'm moving forward. I'm opening
-
the door. In Jesus' name. Now turn the knob and
-
throw it open. And say out loud, Shandairama.
-
Come on. I looked. And I saw a door. That opened.
-
That opened. Then the voice. Remember, every
-
door has a voice. Make sure you're listening
-
to the right one. The voice that had spoken to
-
me at first, which was the Holy Spirit, the trumpet,
-
all that, chapter 1, 2, and 3, sounded like a
-
trumpet said, and this is, I did everything I
-
did so far just to get to this phrase. Come up
-
here. And the voice, the trumpet said, Come up
-
here. Where? Here. Well, where's here? Here is
-
here. Well, I can't see here because I'm down
-
here. I know, I want you to come up here. But
-
if I come up here, what will I find? Just come
-
up. You can't have what God has for you if you
-
don't go up. You've got to come up, and I will
-
show you. Translation I'm using. And I will show
-
you what must happen. Come on, shout the word
-
next. And I will show you what must happen. I
-
will show you what must happen. Because you're
-
going to come up. You're going to come up. Not.
-
But. Not. But. So you're going to go up. And
-
in that realm, there's a place for you to put
-
your feet. And when you get to that realm, I'm
-
talking like Pilgrim's Progress, the book, if
-
you've never read it, the idea of so many symbols
-
and ideas that are in the spiritual realm, because
-
you can't understand the spiritual realm unless
-
you begin to use language that you can understand
-
and apply it. I believe, and I know you believe,
-
there is an invisible realm. I believe. In the
-
invisible realm, things are more real than the
-
natural realm. And I believe in the invisible
-
realm, there's everything I need for my visible
-
realm. So I need to reach. Pull it down. And
-
I will show you what must happen next. Accept
-
what is, but don't stay there. Let go of what
-
was and have faith for what's coming. So as you
-
move to this realm, you're going to let go of
-
us. limited expectations and experiences, and
-
you're going to let your faith move to this next
-
realm for your life. You're going to begin to
-
say things when people say, how are you? You're
-
not going to describe how you are. I have a limp.
-
I had cancer four years ago. I have a messed
-
up hip. I have a messed up leg. I don't have
-
a messed up heart. The cancer never touched my
-
heart. Hello. And so you can have limitation
-
diseases and problems. And I hate what I went
-
through and I hate what I'm going through now.
-
And I don't like the physical limitation. But
-
physical limitations are in this realm. I need
-
to get to the other realm and pull down what
-
I need for this realm. And this realm is in the
-
physical. That realm is in the spiritual. I need
-
to move there in faith. Don't let what you feel
-
stop you from trying to go there. Don't let it.
-
Every next level, write this down, every next
-
level will demand a new you. Your old self can't
-
go to the new level. So you're going to have
-
to have a new you. And a new you means you're
-
going to have to start making some confession.
-
So when people ask me, how are you? I say to
-
them, top of the game, living the dream, couldn't
-
be better. And they always go, oh. You don't
-
look that way. But I do it with everybody. Why?
-
Because that's what I want. I'm not going to
-
say, I'm in pain, live in pain. I limp. I hate
-
my limp. I have a bad hip. I'm going to the doctors.
-
I'm doing more x -rays and stuff right now. And
-
it's really a mess. And I'm so discouraged because
-
life is so hard. It's not fair because I preached
-
the gospel for 40 years. And God, of all things,
-
of all people, of all people in the whole world,
-
God should favor me because I'm his favorite.
-
And he should just heal me right now. And I shouldn't
-
have to suffer. Why should I have to suffer?
-
It's not fair for God to let me suffer because
-
the kingdom of God needs me. And so I could have
-
a... attitude about everything to explain how
-
I see it, or I could simply say, I need to go
-
higher. I need to go higher. And I'm in good
-
company. Paul, he said, now listen, God, would
-
you remove this thorn in my flesh? It's a limitation,
-
it's a problem, and I don't like it. First time,
-
God says, I'm not going to do that. Second time,
-
oh God, I travel. I go on boats that sink. I
-
get snake bitten. I float to islands and they
-
try to kill me. I disciple people who leave me
-
and my name is carved on a lot of jails. I've
-
suffered enough. So would you just take this
-
thorn? Second time, God says, No, I'm not going
-
to do that. Third time. This is in your Bible.
-
Three times. The third time. He says, okay, God,
-
I have a different angle. And I really think
-
you should listen to my reasoning on this one.
-
And God says, Paul, listen. I'm not going to
-
take it away. I'm going to teach you how to go
-
higher. In grace and strength that's not your
-
own. So my grace is sufficient for you. And I
-
want you to throw yourself upon that grace. Because
-
it's in that grace that you're going to do many
-
more things. That's going to be in my strength.
-
But if you go in your strength. You will not
-
do the things I need you to do in my strength.
-
Because my strength demands that you stop and
-
get quiet. And write 14 epistles. Paul would
-
have never stopped. He would have been in every
-
country planting churches all the way through
-
his entire life. He would have never stopped.
-
Geez, I feel like I'm preaching to myself now.
-
This is kind of a scary analogy going on here
-
now. Write more books. No, I'm not writing more
-
books. You want to bet? We would not have the
-
14 epistles if Paul didn't have jail time. Honestly,
-
for sure, that's the truth. And it's in those
-
places that Paul says, I rest in my circumstance
-
because of the grace of God. I'm at rest. Are
-
you still struggling? reasoning, arguing, whining,
-
debating, drawing up your own house plans. And
-
God says, that's not the house I'm building for
-
you, but that's the house I need. Now, God, come
-
on. You need to understand, this is my life.
-
I need to marry that guy. No, you don't need
-
to marry that guy. Yes, I do. He's a perfect
-
match. No, he's a perfect pervert. You have no
-
idea what you're asking for. Oh, God, I do. He
-
is so good looking. God says he might be good
-
looking, but he's dark inside, baby. And I don't
-
want you going there. Sometimes we write out
-
what we see. I want that business. God says you're
-
not going to get that business. I want that business.
-
And if you don't watch it, you go up to the wrong
-
place. And you take what's not yours and then
-
you pay for it for a long time. Relax. Back up
-
a little bit. Take a deep breath. And say, God's
-
grace is sufficient for me. And I will let my
-
resting place be my launching place. Oh, you
-
should write that down. That should be a bumper
-
sticker right there. My resting place. should
-
be my launching place. It's hard to launch somebody
-
to the next level when they're filled with anxiety
-
and they're moving so much. You've got to rest.
-
You've got to stop. You've got to breathe. And
-
expect great things. Believe that the best is
-
going to come. But when you go to the next level,
-
God changes you first. And this is the other
-
thing, whether I get time to say it or not. You
-
can't take everybody you want with you to the
-
next level. Sometimes they can't go. And that's
-
confusing. The next level is your level. It doesn't
-
belong to everybody else. Okay, now, I want you
-
to put down another scripture. We're into the
-
second introduction scripture. 1 Kings 3 .5.
-
1 Kings 3, 5. That night, everyone say that night.
-
And again, let me just use a little bit of a
-
subjective interpretation here, but let me just
-
say that it's usually in the night of life that
-
the best words come. Adversity is a great backdrop
-
for God's paintings. He uses it. Why? Because
-
you... Get to the place where you will let him
-
do what he's going to do. So that night, now,
-
this is about King Solomon. We've had Saul with
-
the United Twelve Tribes. We had David, United
-
Twelve Tribes. Now David thought he was going
-
to build a temple, but he's not. And his son's
-
going to now take the kingship of the Twelve
-
Tribes. Solomon is young. Solomon is going to
-
do some great things, but he doesn't know what
-
to do. Solomon does not live in Gibeon. Solomon
-
goes to Gibeon because the tabernacle at that
-
point was at Gibeon, and Solomon needed a revelation
-
of God's voice and presence and impartation because
-
he didn't know what to do with where he was going
-
and how he was going to get there, and he was
-
scared. And so as a young man, he goes to Gibeon,
-
he camps out, and God comes to him in a dream.
-
And you have this scripture right here where
-
it says, the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream.
-
And God said, the famous words, only used three
-
times in the Bible with three different people,
-
where God says, what can I give you? Only three
-
times in the scripture. What can I do for you?
-
Say it. No, no, no, I'm preaching. I didn't want
-
you to. You are so responsive. It's amazing.
-
I'm saying, Solomon, say it. Okay, never mind.
-
So Solomon is this guy getting the dream, and
-
God says to him, what do you want? Ask. Now,
-
if a friend said that to you, that's one thing.
-
Even a rich man, rich woman, that's another thing.
-
But God, God, who has all power, all wealth,
-
everything, God says, what do you want? If that
-
happened to you right now, what would you write
-
down? Even off the cuff, what would you write
-
down? So Solomon says, I'll tell you exactly
-
what I want. God says, tell me. I want you to
-
give me wisdom that I may lead the people in
-
and out and protect them. That I might be a shepherd
-
king for your people. That I might be able to
-
bring them into the place you want them. But
-
I don't know how to do it, and I need wisdom.
-
And God says, now, this is an amazing request.
-
You didn't ask, and this kind of puts us all
-
in our place. God says, you didn't ask for wealth.
-
You didn't ask for honor. You didn't ask for
-
riches. You didn't ask for your enemy's heads.
-
You asked for someone else. And that, Solomon,
-
is why I will make you great. And I will give
-
you wealth. riches, honor, and I'll take care
-
of your enemies because your heart is for my
-
people and my purposes, not yourself. And I can
-
trust you with my kingdom. Therefore, I'm going
-
to give you everything that you want. Even though
-
you're not going after what you want, you're
-
going after what I want. Now, when God says to
-
you, what do you want? Your answer should be,
-
I want to be a helper of others. What do you
-
want? I want my dream. No, I want to be a helper
-
of other people's dreams. What do you want? I
-
want healing. No, I want to bring healing to
-
other people's lives. What do you want? If you
-
can somehow bring your asking and this next level
-
thing that we need to go to as individuals, and
-
if you can consider asking and pursuing things
-
that bless other people, not just butter your
-
bread. It's a good chance that you'll go to a
-
wide, massive next level because you have the
-
heart of Jesus. Amen, Frank. Such a wonderful
-
point. Now, does that mean you don't get what
-
you want? No. Solomon's still God. All of it.
-
His first book he wrote was Proverbs, then Song
-
of Solomon. And then Ecclesiastes. Ecclesiastes
-
is a horrible book. I taught it in college for
-
years and hated teaching it every time. I would
-
say to the students, I do believe in biblical
-
inspiration, but I think this one could be in
-
doubt. It was a joke. Solomon wrote Ecclesiastes
-
because everything was vanity, vexation of spirit.
-
Everything under the sun was worthless. Life
-
was worthless. You live and you earn and you
-
gather, and then someone else takes it. All your
-
friends leave you. All your wives turn their
-
back on you. He had, of course, when you have
-
700 of them, there's a good chance a few will.
-
And so you have all of Solomon's. He just lets
-
it out. And it's horrible stuff about a man who
-
took the center that was God, And put himself.
-
That's Ecclesiastes. Proverbs. Is this scripture
-
right here. Where he said. Give me wisdom God.
-
And he wrote Proverbs. At the beginning of his
-
reign. And wow. What a man. What a book. What
-
a perspective. What. I mean we could live. If
-
we only had the book of Proverbs. We would live
-
a great life. But he didn't stay in Proverbs.
-
He went to Ecclesiastes. My exhortation to you
-
as we go to the next level, don't end up in Ecclesiastes.
-
Don't end up cynical. Don't end up unbelieving.
-
Don't end up not praying for the tick because,
-
well, God hasn't healed the tick before. My spouse
-
died. My kid died. My friend died. And, you know,
-
I don't know. I'm not going to pray for the tick.
-
And then you fold your arms. And then you see
-
these young people up here worshiping. And you
-
say to yourself, but wait until they hit real
-
life. They won't be so happy camper up there.
-
They'll have to go through stuff. And then they'll
-
learn that life is not just what Brad says all
-
the time. You know, expect good. Go for good.
-
God will help you. Well, God didn't help me.
-
Well, there's a reason God's not helping you
-
right now. You're filled with unbelief. You're
-
filled with sin. and you're a person that will
-
not even expect anything good to happen. God
-
cannot even attack you, tackle you, and pin you
-
down and bless you. You would still fight with
-
him. I would say give up. Trade in that Ecclesiastes
-
mindset for a Proverbs mindset. Trade it in.
-
Doesn't matter how old you are. Trade it in.
-
Go to the next level. Say, well, you know, I'm
-
in my 70s. How do I? Have you ever Googled? Someone
-
say yes. Have you ever Googled something like
-
this? What did famous people accomplish after
-
they were 70? It'll blow your mind. Then Google.
-
what did famous people accomplish after they
-
were 80? And you'll be shocked again to understand
-
that some of our most famous people didn't do
-
their famous stuff until they were in their 70s.
-
You're never too old to do great things. So please,
-
don't just kind of semi -retire and go chew red
-
tobacco somewhere. Is there such a thing as red
-
tobacco? There you go. Word of knowledge right
-
there. Don't. Don't live your life out doing
-
nothing. Don't. Don't. Don't. If you have more
-
money than you need, don't keep saving it. You're
-
not going to live long enough to spend it. Give
-
it away. Go on a mission trip. Give it to the
-
Uganda pastor who missed his prophecy. Find some
-
young people and put them through school. Find
-
a single parent and help them. Don't just live
-
your life with... Go up. Go up. Next slide. Every
-
time you say, okay, I'm going to go up. Remember,
-
what I'm trying to say here is that you will
-
have, next slide, is the slide that has seasons,
-
levels. Yeah, go ahead and put them all up. Because
-
I'm so far behind, it doesn't matter. Okay. Every
-
category of errors in your life as you move has
-
these four things. You have a season, and a season
-
can be God's seasons and timetables are not like
-
ours. So when God said to you, I want you to
-
go visit your uncle over the mountain. His name
-
is Laban. And you will be there a few days. And
-
then you will return. Why? Because Jacob had
-
ticked off his brother Esau. And the one thing
-
you don't ever want to do is tick off a good
-
hunter. If you're going to tick off somebody,
-
tick off a chess player, a checker player, you
-
know, a songwriter, a restaurant owner. But don't
-
tick off a hunter. Now Esau is the hunter of
-
all hunters. He can kill things, and he had proven
-
it. And Jacob knew, hey, I'm in trouble because
-
I stole the birthright. I stole it from him.
-
He's going to be ticked off. When he comes back,
-
he's going to kill me. His mother says, you are
-
absolutely right. He is a hunter, and he is going
-
to kill you. So this is what you do. I want you
-
to go over the mountain. I want you to visit
-
my brother Laban, and he will keep you. And in
-
a few days, you will return, and we will solve
-
this thing with your brother. How long? Was he
-
at Laban's? Oh, 14 years. So when God says, in
-
a few days, I'm going to bring this about in
-
your life, you're thinking, hallelujah, it's
-
about time. God says, but it's my days. So a
-
season can mean a week, a year, a decade. It's
-
not guaranteed it's going to be fast. Why? Because
-
in the season, there's levels. And every level
-
you have to go to to achieve what needs to be
-
done in that season. And the kicker is you can't
-
skip a level. So if you skip a level, you start
-
over again. That's why some people are in the
-
same season for a long, long time. They don't
-
learn. achieve. They don't take it. They don't
-
change. They don't, and they go like Israel did
-
for 40 years around the mountain, around the
-
mountain, around the mountain, around the mountain,
-
because they had never grasped what they had
-
to change. Be very careful. When God deals with
-
you about something, don't shrug it off. Take
-
care of it and move ahead. If he talks with you
-
about anything, take care of it and move ahead.
-
If you had a little nudge and the Holy Spirit
-
said, write the letter, ask them to forgive you.
-
I'm not going to do that. I don't like them.
-
I never did like them. It was their fault all
-
this happened. They have always been really crummy
-
people. And they took advantage of me. And I'm
-
not writing them a letter. They should be writing
-
me a letter all the time while you're worshiping.
-
Oh, Jesus. No. Jesus. Going on in our spirit.
-
If God deals with you to forgive, do it and move
-
on. If God wants you to reconcile with someone,
-
do it and move on. Go to the next level. Every
-
level has miracles. No, not next slide. There's
-
a difference between next level, next slide.
-
That's funny. I think that's funny. Whoever is
-
doing the slides, where are they? That's doing
-
the slides. They're out in the parking lot somewhere,
-
aren't they? Well, bless you for doing my slides
-
and putting up with me. If you make another mistake,
-
God will kill you right there. No, thank you
-
very much. You've been actually right on it.
-
I'm kind of hard to follow because I play around
-
so much, but I don't care. No apologies, you
-
know. All right, come on. Church, how many of
-
you are getting something out of this? Okay,
-
read these four words, phrases with me. Everyone
-
say, next season. Next season. Next level. Next
-
level. Next miracle. Next miracle. Next door.
-
Next door. Every level has to have miracles.
-
All the miracles open new doors. New doors put
-
you into a new season. And you do this in a kind
-
of a circular moving like the Zika wheel within
-
the wheel. This is a moving with the core principles
-
and the wheel begins to move. Something happens
-
when you need a miracle. You know, you don't
-
need miracles if you're not going anywhere. You
-
need miracles when you're on the move. You need
-
miracles like the apostles and Jesus. They were
-
doing ministry. They were on the move. They were
-
just out on the hill saying, okay, this is a
-
good place for us just to stop right here because
-
we're going to do a miracle here. What kind of
-
a miracle? It's going to be a loaves and fishes
-
miracle. We're just going to have to wait for
-
it. It might take a while, but the people will
-
come and we'll do a miracle. They didn't have
-
any plan for the miracle. The circumstance demanded
-
a miracle. And if you're into moving, you'll
-
have circumstances where God will say, I'm going
-
to supply for you to go to college. Oh, I don't
-
have any money. And I don't have any grants.
-
I don't have anything. But I want to be a doctor.
-
And I want to move ahead. Well, you've got to
-
move ahead. Come up here. What do I do? You've
-
got to go forward. How do I go forward? I want
-
you to go see the people in charge of the grants.
-
Go knock on their door. But they won't see me.
-
I don't even have an appointment. And I'm not
-
even qualified. And so finally, you obey. Why?
-
You want to go to the next season, next level,
-
next door, but you need a miracle, but you don't
-
think the miracle is going to come, and now you're
-
discouraged. And you go there, and you say, I'm
-
here to see so -and -so, but I don't have an
-
appointment. Well, it's okay. Just a second.
-
Let me ask. Yeah, she'll see you. She'll see
-
me. Yeah. So you go in and say, you know, I'm
-
just here because I can't even tell you why I'm
-
here, but I'm here, and I do need a grant. What
-
kind of a grant do you need? Well, I need a grant
-
to pay my entire... Bill, I don't have any money
-
at all. You don't have any money? You know, just
-
a second. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I have
-
three grants that I have to give out by tomorrow.
-
And all three of these have to go to people.
-
How much money does your parents make? They don't
-
make very much money. Are they helping you? No.
-
That's fantastic because if they were helping
-
you, I couldn't give it to you. And do you have
-
anybody else helping you? No. All the things
-
you were critical about and mad about and whining
-
about is now going to work for your good as God's
-
going to do a miracle for you that nobody else
-
can do. And all of a sudden this person says
-
to you, so you have no help. And your parents
-
have no money, and nobody's doing anything, and
-
you're here, and you have no appointment, and
-
I have to use these up by tomorrow. Wow, it's
-
amazing that you got to my door today, and you're
-
thinking, that's because I'm a mighty faith person.
-
I went through this door. And when you tell the
-
testimony, it will be, and God spoke to me, and
-
I went. And I knew God was going to open that
-
door. And when I knocked on that door, I knocked
-
hard on that door. And I looked her in the eye,
-
and I said, God has sent me here. None of that
-
happened, but you can say that. You don't get
-
a miracle staying where you are. Knock on doors.
-
Move forward. Press. Ask. Believe. Go. No miracle
-
happens with stay. Go. You don't know what's
-
in that office. Go. You don't know what the bank
-
will say. Well, there's no reason the bank would
-
give me money for my business. You don't know
-
that they have. Well, I got to give away. Two
-
business monies, and who are you? What business
-
are you starting? Do you have any help? You have
-
no money? And you have a bad track record? Yeah,
-
I kind of, you know, I listened to my wife, and
-
she made me spend some money. And, you know,
-
we bought the wrong house, and you can blame
-
whatever. But it could be, well, I've got to
-
give two bank loans to people who made mistakes.
-
Oh, well, that's me. Yes, I made many mistakes,
-
actually. Well, we only need two mistakes. Okay,
-
I have two big ones. You have no idea what God
-
has in store for you if you never knock on the
-
door. If you never knock on the door. I want
-
to get married. I want to get married. I want
-
to get married. Well, then date somebody. No,
-
I'm waiting for God to bring them. Put on some
-
lipstick and date them. Don't stay in the prayer
-
room. Get out. Beautiful young woman. Just recently.
-
She is in another church. She went to this different
-
church. And she saw this guy lead in worship.
-
And she liked him. And she's like 21. Beautiful.
-
And didn't have any guys in her church that she
-
felt were her match. So she said to her dad.
-
Dad. You know the guy that led worship tonight?
-
He says, no, I don't know him. She says, well,
-
I want him to take me out. Dad says, what are
-
you talking about? I want to have a date with
-
him. You don't even know him. She says, I know
-
I don't know him. That's why I want to have a
-
date. She ended up doing something unusual. And
-
I'm not saying this is the will of God for you.
-
But it is a person that says, I need a miracle.
-
I'm going to knock on the door and move him forward.
-
She emailed the guy. Said, I was in the service.
-
You were leading worship. And I thought to myself,
-
be great if we could have a cup of coffee. He
-
got the email. I talked to him. Now, if I was
-
him, I would have emailed back and said, can
-
you attach a picture? She, smart girl, had already
-
attached a picture. And she's a pretty little
-
thing. And so he looks at the email, looks at
-
the picture, as any prayed up, spirit -filled
-
young man would do. Copy? What harm could copy
-
do? Yeah. Yeah, I'd have a cup of coffee with
-
you. Let's meet at the... you know, Starbucks
-
place and they had a cup of coffee and now it's
-
more cups. And actually, they'll probably get
-
married. The relationship is moving along so
-
wonderful. What I'm saying is, it's hard to steer
-
a parked car. You've got to move. Whether it's
-
starting a business. Or going to college? Or
-
finding someone that you would like to have a
-
relationship with? I don't mean you have to be
-
weird and stalk the guy, you know? Come up and
-
as he, you know, you're taking pictures everywhere,
-
you show up at the store, you show up at his
-
car. That would be weird, you know? So don't
-
be a stalker. My wife got me that way, but don't
-
do that. Jackie? I like you. I like you. Why
-
are you on the platform now? Because I was asked
-
to come. You're going to interrupt my sermon.
-
I know it. I know it. Now, she is talented. And
-
she's good looking. Anointed. God help Brad buy
-
more guns. Okay, I didn't. I'd have to just say
-
I got as far as I needed to go with you. I do
-
have 12 points. Like I always do, you know. But
-
I think our impartation today was to encourage
-
you. Come on, say amen. It was to stretch you
-
out of your place to say, I'm going up. I'm going
-
forward. I'm moving. Letting go and stepping
-
up have to be one of the same steps. You've got
-
to let go, but you've got to step up. Now step
-
up. In every area of your life, God has better
-
life for you. Step up. Step up. Okay, come. I'll
-
give you your prophecy. What is your name? My
-
name is Julius. From Uganda? Yes. What town?
-
Masaka. Oh, sure. I know where that's at. I know
-
where that's at. We have a church in Uganda.
-
What city is ours in? Kampala. Kampala. You go
-
to Kampala sometimes? Yes. Yeah. We have a great
-
church there. All right. Brad, come help me.
-
I'm going to... Seriously, I felt to pray for
-
you. to you prophetically that those that are
-
against you will not stop you that there's a
-
huge amount of resistance that has mounted up
-
like a mountain against you but the Lord says
-
I am going to remove mountains I'm going to level
-
your way and your path pathway it's going to
-
have provisions that others would say he is exactly
-
the man he said he was you're going to gather
-
leaders and you're going to have a prophetic
-
effect on pastors and there will be an outpouring
-
from your spirit a vision and faith for their
-
towns and their cities and God's going to increase
-
you as a leader, and you in the fruitfulness
-
of church growth and planting. You're not to
-
worry about finance because God had some surprises
-
coming your way. He's going to bring in the monies
-
for buildings and lands, staff and peoples, and
-
you're going to find an open heavens. There will
-
be miracles in your place. God has only just
-
begun. To move through you. You're a mighty man
-
of God. There's mighty things going to happen.
-
We bless you with the grace of God. We bless
-
you with fresh oil. We bless you with fresh anointing.
-
From the top of your head to the bottom of your
-
feet. And a hedge around you to protect you from
-
all demonic powers. And all the powers that come
-
to resist you. That will be leveled. And you
-
will be like a person that's catapulted forward.
-
You will move forward like you're thinking now
-
in one year. One year will be like one day. And
-
five years will be like one month. You will move
-
ahead. And God will make a way where there is
-
no way. Surely, says the Spirit of the Lord,
-
I'm going to increase your voice. I'm going to
-
cause your voice to be lifted up like a trumpet.
-
I'm going to cause even the words of your mouth
-
to begin to break through places where it seemed
-
like walls were built. Surely, says the Spirit
-
of grace, I'm going to begin to move upon your
-
spirit and words of grace and anointing are going
-
to begin to flow out of your mouth. I'm going
-
to begin to break the sound barrier, says the
-
Spirit of the Lord. I'm coming to release a boom
-
in the voice, says the Spirit of the Lord. And
-
when you open your mouth, you will see and hear
-
what I will do even now, says the Spirit of the
-
Lord. There's a prophetic anointing coming to
-
overflow even now. That which has been a small
-
trickle will begin to go out another thousand
-
cubits, says the Lord. I'm bringing a new level
-
of the river and the anointing even now to your
-
spirit. And I'm going to cause a new line of
-
measure to go out from your life. Spirit of the
-
Lord. I'm going to cause a fresh anointing to
-
catch and to come alongside. The voice of the
-
Lord thunders. The voice of the Lord causes new
-
birth. The voice of the Lord brings in new destinies.
-
Surely, says the Lord, this is your appointed
-
time. Do not fear, but walk in the new mantle
-
and the grace that I put upon you. to their feet
-
heaven has risen up heaven has heard the worship
-
from one man musicians God we need the singers
-
God says I'm about to flood them to your door
-
they're gonna come ready and there's gonna be
-
an anointing and a DNA and the spirit of the
-
living God that is in you that you have encountered
-
on your face that heaven is gonna visit in the
-
place of worship Be established where we say
-
yes and amen. Let them come to pass quickly now
-
in Jesus' name. Everybody said amen. Come on,
-
tell Julius we're proud of him. Frank, what an
-
amazing word. Appreciate the impartation. Hallelujah.
-
Praise God. If we could have the prayer ministry
-
healing team, just those that come and pray at
-
the end of service. If you need a touch in your
-
body when I dismiss this morning, you need prayer.
-
For anything, body, soul. We want them just to
-
begin moving now and come to my left. If you
-
do that, I may receive this morning. That's so
-
good. What a great teacher, preacher. Amazing.
-
Father, we thank you today. Lord, we thank you
-
for that grace gift that Paul said I... I desire
-
to be with you that I might impart to you. Lord,
-
today we receive an impartation. Today we receive
-
a gift from heaven. Lord, that word encouraged
-
to come up to the next level. Lord, we'd want
-
to stay at the level where we've been. Move us
-
forward. Move us up. Can we say that together?
-
Move us up. One more time. Move us up. In Jesus'
-
name. Amen. Amen. God bless you. Don't forget
-
your children. Have a great... Be patient with
-
one another. The parking lot's full out there.
-
Thank you for being here. We'll see you. Come
-
on. Wednesday night. Be a great time midweek.
-
God bless. Or call us at 541 -995 -8282.
