  1. I tell you what, I have so, and I'm not just

  2. saying that, you know, I am genuinely, genuinely

  3. so blessed and spiritually boosted by the ministry

  4. of Brother Tony. And it was just wonderful. And

  5. his wife, so humble and yet just absolutely solid

  6. there, you know, make her feel welcome too, you

  7. know, as you speak. I'm sure my wife is listening

  8. in on the internet this morning, and so I, Bessie,

  9. you know, just go ahead, just tap your hands

  10. for Bessie if she's... I just want to bring under

  11. your attention some of the material that's on

  12. the table. A lot of people have asked me through

  13. the years to put some of my stories in book form.

  14. In fact, a lot of times people say, how come

  15. you have so many stories to tell? Well, just

  16. like with Brother Tony, you hear him as constant

  17. stories that comes in. Because when you walk

  18. with God, you have a lot of stories to tell.

  19. Because God is supernatural and then that makes

  20. you supernatural because he lives in you. People

  21. don't realize that, but you are supernatural

  22. when you are connected, when you're on because

  23. of who lives in your heart. We'll get to that

  24. in a minute. But these two books, the one is

  25. called You Cannot Believe This, and the other

  26. one is You Won't Believe This. Stories, some

  27. of them funny, some of them, you know, not so

  28. funny, but all of them true, and they're, all

  29. of them connected with God in our lives. And

  30. when these things, when I share these things,

  31. every time, when I... Even when I tell the stories,

  32. I never get tired because they were so phenomenal

  33. when they happened. But now I wrote these books

  34. in the form of bathroom reading material. And

  35. so they're short stories, and it's a compilation

  36. of short stories, and it'll be good for your

  37. health, you know, you read this. This one here,

  38. I'm sure many of you or most of you possibly

  39. already have this book. If you don't, I want

  40. to highly recommend you do that. And then the

  41. second thing I want to recommend you do is that

  42. you let me sign it. Then it becomes very valuable.

  43. Once I've signed it, it becomes very valuable.

  44. The people who made the movie God is Not Dead,

  45. those same producers, Later on in the weekend,

  46. I'm going to give you more information. But they

  47. have just signed contact with me, and so they're

  48. going to turn this into a movie, this book here.

  49. And what I'd like to do is later on in the weekend,

  50. maybe pass will give me a little bit of time

  51. in the morning. I'd like to talk about that again.

  52. And what I want to do is give you some email

  53. information for you to email the producers and

  54. let them know how excited you are about. Yeah,

  55. I'm serious about the upcoming movie, because

  56. what it happens is we have to obviously they

  57. have to raise investors. That's going to invest

  58. in the movie about 60 million. And they already

  59. have some of the actors, and I'll show you that

  60. on Sunday morning, they have some of the actors

  61. signed up already, like Morgan, what is it? Morgan

  62. Freeman. And the other one, Chris Pratt. Yeah,

  63. Chris Pratt. And he's going to play me, and he's

  64. going to have a hard time. Blame me. I've given

  65. these to Pastor Tony, so a few. Thank you. Let's

  66. pray. Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for

  67. this opportunity for us to just get together

  68. and just like men of old who sat at the feet

  69. of Gamaliel. That's how I felt last night while

  70. I was sitting at the feet of Tony. And this morning,

  71. I want to ask you, Lord, will you help us to

  72. sit at the feet of the Holy Spirit? And then

  73. while I speak, let them hear not only my voice,

  74. but God, let them hear you. We ask it in the

  75. name of Jesus, and we thank you. Amen. What happens,

  76. you know, let me say this. We are, I was sharing

  77. with... Pastor Tony and Pastor Brad, by the way,

  78. what an incredible pastors you have in Brad.

  79. They're just phenomenal. And I was saying to

  80. them, you know, that I'm really concerned for,

  81. you know, I've been in the ministry 49 years

  82. and been around the block a few times. And I've

  83. seen the church go through different. phases

  84. and so always does we've seen organizations you

  85. know decline and we've seen other startup and

  86. increase and the thing that troubles me is that

  87. in because I'm an evangelist and my observation

  88. in that sense is of this kind that I'm concerned

  89. that too many churches in our time have no desire

  90. for the supernatural. They don't have it. It's

  91. just like they have church. In fact, they try

  92. and make it as short as they possibly can. One

  93. pastor told me that he's got the entire thing

  94. down to an art. He can take the entire service,

  95. everything, including the offering, which really

  96. that's what it's about, is the offering. The

  97. entire service, he's got it down to 50 minutes.

  98. He said, I got it all down to 50 minutes, and

  99. we cut them loose. I said to him, kind of in

  100. a joking way, sarcastic actually, I said, well,

  101. you know, really, you should think about a drive

  102. -thru charge. And I thought he's going to recognize

  103. sarcasm. Instead, he went like this. He said,

  104. man, that's a great idea. You know, now we're

  105. talking about a big church. And so he was, he

  106. said, he wanted to know from me, how would you

  107. do this? You know, how do you think we can do

  108. this? I said, well, you know, what you do is

  109. you just record one or two choruses. And then,

  110. you know, do your sermon on the tape. Make sure

  111. that you emphasize the offering very well. And

  112. then as they drive through, you give them a tape

  113. after they give you an offering. He said, man,

  114. I want to think about that. You know, there's

  115. some people that don't have time to come to church.

  116. It is so, so stupid. Honestly, it is so stupid.

  117. You know, I mean. How much more dumb can you

  118. get and then still keep on breathing? You know,

  119. I mean, it's so wrong. The fact that your pastors

  120. emphasize this kind of subject and title, pursuing

  121. the supernatural, tells you about their heart.

  122. Yeah, go ahead and give the Lord a praise. It's,

  123. you know, and when we talked this morning about

  124. the subject, the great subject for me, you know,

  125. hearing the voice of God, because I believe that

  126. that's so very important to be able to hear the

  127. voice of God. You know, I asked God several years

  128. ago, how come some people in the Bible, you know,

  129. always stands out above others? There's always

  130. some characters that's standing out above the

  131. others. Why is that? Even in our time, you see

  132. that there's some churches that really excel.

  133. There's some preachers that really go up there.

  134. How is it? You know, was Moses so much different

  135. than some of the other players of his time? And

  136. obviously, he wasn't. The thing that makes one

  137. person stand out above the other is there are

  138. a few people who makes it their business to hear

  139. from God. Because you understand, when you hear

  140. God, the moment you hear God, supernatural events

  141. from that moment will start to take place. But

  142. it starts with you hearing God. God speaks to

  143. you. It's like that with your healing. You see,

  144. you hear. We hear the word. And then what happens

  145. is I love what he said last night. Supernatural,

  146. how do you say? The supernatural is followed

  147. by, how do you say that? Oh, oh, oh, oh. If it

  148. is, oh, oh, revelation produces manifestation.

  149. There you go. Revelation. produces manifestation.

  150. So, how do you receive a revelation? You receive

  151. a revelation by God speaking. Now, we'll hear

  152. this this morning. God speaks in many ways. God

  153. will speak sometimes without using words. When

  154. God speaks to you, you know that's God that is

  155. speaking to you. And talking about this, it's

  156. so important that you must know that... The one

  157. who lives in you. The one who's residing in you.

  158. It's not Jesus. It's not the Father. It's very

  159. important that we understand this. You know,

  160. obviously they all are in there because of their

  161. unity. The etchot of God that's so one you cannot

  162. separate. You know, that's why God says that's

  163. the way it will be with a man and his wife. The

  164. two will become one. And so they're one, yes.

  165. But the one who lives inside of us is the Holy

  166. Spirit. And the Holy Spirit is God. Come on,

  167. look at somebody say it. The Holy Spirit is God.

  168. And so when you have God in you, God, you understand,

  169. God is supernatural. God doesn't produce supernatural.

  170. He is supernatural. Everything about God is supernatural.

  171. Whenever you walk with God, it's supernatural.

  172. When you have church and you make contact with

  173. God, supernatural things happen. It's great to

  174. have a sermon. It's great to be taught, you know,

  175. by the word. But there's nothing that compares

  176. with the moment of supernatural release. When

  177. a supernatural release takes place in your body,

  178. in your mind, or wherever it is, nothing can

  179. change it. You know, it's because it's God. It's

  180. like when God speaks about giving a commanded

  181. blessing. You know, when he speaks to nature.

  182. See, nature hears the voice of God. See, God

  183. can speak to nature. And then that command of

  184. his totally changes things for you. Because you've

  185. got God involved with you in that situation.

  186. It's so important to know that, you know, he's

  187. in you. And so because God is in you, you are

  188. now supernatural. I love to tell the story about,

  189. you know, when I was flying from Africa one time

  190. in the middle of the night. The plane is full,

  191. jam -packed full. I'm sitting up straight like

  192. that on the aisle, somewhere in the middle of

  193. the plane. And here at two o 'clock in the morning,

  194. the air hostess comes and wakes me up. Excuse

  195. me, sir. You know, and you kind of wake up startled

  196. a little bit. And she says, are you a Christian?

  197. You know, that just, you know, I love to tell

  198. this story, you know, because, you know, the

  199. fact that she. obviously saw something that would

  200. bring her to me in the middle of the night. And

  201. I don't know what she saw. I obviously don't

  202. come into a plane saying, Dr. Jan Gabriel Venter,

  203. you know, and some of my degrees that makes me

  204. tired to wear them. You know, it's got nothing

  205. to do with that. You see, when God is in you,

  206. people see it. They don't see, you know, degrees.

  207. They see God. And when people can recognize that,

  208. that means you are on speaking terms with God

  209. because his presence becomes visible in you.

  210. Then she wanted to know, I said, she said, are

  211. you a Christian? And I mean, I didn't have to

  212. think about it, obviously. Yes, ma 'am, I'm born

  213. again. I mean, you know, people sit up around

  214. me, you know, because they hear my answer. I'm

  215. born again. And she wants to know, can you come

  216. with me? We need you in the back there. And so

  217. I go to the back of the plane and here is the

  218. captain standing there with some other people

  219. around, a demon -possessed man. The man is demon

  220. -possessed. And the captain wants to know, when

  221. he comes up, when I come in there, you know,

  222. with this aerostess, who are you? And I said,

  223. I'm Jan. You know, he obviously wanted to know

  224. some more about my qualifications. Do you know

  225. what's going on with this man? Yes, sir, I do.

  226. Well, do you mind sharing it with me? No, he's

  227. demon possessed. He said, he's what? I said,

  228. he's possessed of, I think, several demons. And

  229. then he wants to know, can you handle it? Yes,

  230. yes, I believe I can, sir. What are you going

  231. to do? Well, I'm going to cast it out. Where

  232. will they go? Yeah, why am I telling you this?

  233. It's just such a great feeling to know that God

  234. is in you and other people can recognize it.

  235. And that's what is going on with the church today.

  236. It's time for the world to recognize again, we

  237. are the salt. We are the light. We are supernatural.

  238. We are phenomenal. We are the ones that brings...

  239. balance into our situation, in our families,

  240. in every area, because you hear from God. God

  241. communicates with you, gives you instructions.

  242. And when you follow those instructions, phenomenal

  243. things happen. Come on, give him a great praise

  244. offering. He downloads that into your spirit.

  245. Glory to God. Now, you know, When God lives in

  246. you, obviously you live in victory. It doesn't

  247. mean that you don't have problems. You have a

  248. lot of things happen to you. When they were talking

  249. about angels the other night, you know, I kind

  250. of smiled and I thought mine works overtime all

  251. the time. You know, I don't know how it works,

  252. but they definitely work overtime. They are involved

  253. with you and you have the ability to tune in

  254. straight to God. Now, it's like TV channels,

  255. you know, on the television. There's so many

  256. channels. When I come into a hotel room, the

  257. first channel I look for is Fox News. My grandson,

  258. he's very intelligent. They asked him one time,

  259. who made you so intelligent? He said, God and

  260. Fox News. I watch Fox News. When I got here to

  261. the hotel, there are so many channels, but I

  262. had a hard time finding the right one. It's a

  263. lesson to be learned in this. You got to choose

  264. which voice you want to listen to. There's a

  265. lot of voices going on around us. And God's voice

  266. is forever communicating. But you must be tuned

  267. in. You must make sure that you want to hear,

  268. you know, what is God saying about it? I love

  269. it when Pastor Brad calls me and he'll always

  270. ask me, so what is God saying to you? in these

  271. days. Very important that we find out, you know,

  272. Lord, what is it that you're saying about it?

  273. You know, when we hear the things that's going

  274. on, you know, on the news with President Trump

  275. and so on, it's so nice to just go and talk to

  276. God. Lord, what's going on? You know, how should

  277. we pray? Don't forget that you are a representative

  278. of heaven. And Jesus said, my sheep hear my voice.

  279. Come on, can I hear an amen? That's what he said.

  280. Look at somebody who said that's what he said.

  281. You must hear his voice. I mean, if you don't

  282. hear his voice, then there's something seriously

  283. wrong with you. In fact, you cannot be a successful

  284. believer unless you hear the voice of God. You

  285. cannot rely just on somebody's sermons. You must

  286. hear God speak to you about situations. You must

  287. hear God talk to you about your children. And

  288. so I was preaching years ago for the state of

  289. Tennessee. And they gave me a nice little evangelist

  290. quarters. I had my daughter and my son there

  291. at the time with me. But I also had my bus. And

  292. so what I did is I gave them the bus. The apartment

  293. had a nice little bedroom and a living room with

  294. a nice couch to pull you out. And then we had

  295. our bus, which we parked just outside of the

  296. apartment. And like 2 o 'clock in the morning,

  297. the Lord wakes me up just like that, just suddenly.

  298. And immediately, he's talking to me. And, you

  299. know, when he talks to you, and we'll get to

  300. that in a moment, when he talks to you, you know

  301. that's what God is saying. You don't have to

  302. hear it audibly. You know, Pastor Tony said the

  303. other night that I'm going to use that and eventually

  304. make people believe that that comes from me.

  305. What I've received from the Lord, you know. But

  306. he said that when you hear the audible voice

  307. from God, that means you're deaf, you know, because

  308. you're not hearing all the other types when God

  309. is speaking to you. And God spoke to me about

  310. CJ, my son. So I got off from my bed onto my

  311. knees and then recognized that my wife is already

  312. on her knees. Now, I want you to see the timing.

  313. I just want you to see the incredible timing

  314. of all of this. I asked her, I said, who are

  315. you praying for? She said, CJ. And I said, what's

  316. going on? She said, I don't know. So I just reached

  317. up and I opened the blinds by my window, looking

  318. towards the apartment, and I'm just in time.

  319. to see a figure, a shadowed figure, just disappear

  320. around the corner. I mean, that's how accurate

  321. the timing was. You know, had I missed that moment,

  322. I would not have known what's going on there.

  323. So important for you, when God speaks to you,

  324. respond right away. Come on, can I hear an amen?

  325. Look at somebody and tell them. See, you've got

  326. to respond immediately, you turkey. So I told

  327. my wife and I said, something is going on. So

  328. I got, you know, dressed and I went over there

  329. to the apartment, went upstairs and opened the

  330. door without knocking. I'm the dad. So I go in

  331. and my daughter is sitting there and I said,

  332. where's CJ? She goes. So I go to the. And I opened

  333. the door, not knocking. He's like 20 years old.

  334. Doesn't matter. I'm the dad. And I'm the man

  335. of God. And I'm the evangelist. And I'm responsible

  336. for my family. I don't believe this junk with

  337. all these liberals, you know, that. Talks this

  338. nonsense. So when I walked in there, she's sitting

  339. with her feet and shoes kicked off and dress

  340. pulled up really high, sitting on the side of

  341. the bed. And I go in there and I said, what's

  342. going on here? And CJ responds by speaking in

  343. my language. And he said, dad, you're just incredible.

  344. I said. Why? He said, the moment she walked in

  345. here, I said to myself, three minutes, three

  346. minutes, my dad will be here. And so I asked

  347. this lady, what is your business here? You know,

  348. two o 'clock in the morning, what's your business

  349. here? Now, she just came to visit. I said, in

  350. my son's bedroom. You know, 2 o 'clock in the

  351. morning with the door closed. I don't think so.

  352. You know, how did you get here? Well, my aunt

  353. brought me here. You know, she doesn't have a

  354. mother, so her aunt takes care of her. And the

  355. aunt brought her there. And I said, well, you

  356. need to put your shoes on. This uncle is taking

  357. you home. So I took her home and found out, and

  358. this is just kind of long story short, found

  359. out that she had become pregnant by somebody

  360. else. And discussed it with her aunt, and they

  361. liked CJ. And so the aunt said, you need to go

  362. and sleep with him. And we'll pin it on him.

  363. Because the other guy was a no -gooder. did not

  364. know is that I'm on speaking terms with Almighty

  365. God. Go ahead and praise Him with your glory

  366. to God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You know, so

  367. what you want to do is you want to make sure,

  368. you know, on a daily basis. That's daily. That's

  369. the verse he quoted last night in 1 Corinthians

  370. 12. Be not conformed. To this world. But be.

  371. That's continuous sense. Be ye transformed. By

  372. the renewing of your mind. So that you may know.

  373. You know. Nobody knows how you know. You know

  374. that you know. You know what is the good. And

  375. acceptable. And perfect will of God. God talks

  376. to you. He's got your business at his heart.

  377. God wants to direct you in your business with

  378. your family, with every situation in your life.

  379. He wants to be in charge. But what is happening

  380. is most people... Do not, they're not at that

  381. level. They do their own thing. Jesus said, you

  382. must pray like this. Let thy will be done. God,

  383. let your will come to pass in my life. Let it

  384. not be my decisions, your decisions. Whatever

  385. you say, Lord, let that be my instruction. Come

  386. on, give him another praise offering. Glory to

  387. God. And you know, we have a lot of voices. There

  388. is, you know, just a lot of voices around us.

  389. Speaking to you and me. Voices from your past.

  390. Voices that comes from family. Voices that can

  391. speak out of an environment. Voice can speak

  392. to you out of that environment. Friends, family,

  393. sometimes, you know, something that happened

  394. in the past and you now see a car pass by here

  395. that resembles something that happened in the

  396. past and there's a connection and immediately

  397. voices start speaking to you about that. One

  398. of the very strong voices of our time that speaks

  399. to so many Christians is guilt. Constant guilt.

  400. overrides almost every other voice. You know,

  401. voices of bitterness. People allow those voices

  402. to speak and dominate them with everything you

  403. do. So you have to make decisions. But there's

  404. voices of bitterness that speaks to you. You're

  405. unable, you are incapable of making good decisions

  406. because you allow those voices. It is so, listen,

  407. I have a book, I don't have it here with us,

  408. but there's a book that I wrote on the seedlings.

  409. You are where you come from. You are your father's

  410. son. You understand, if you're an apple, you

  411. come not from a banana tree, you come from an

  412. apple tree. And so you have all the characteristics

  413. of an apple. You look like an apple. You have

  414. the same taste as apples of that kind. You're

  415. an apple. Come on, look at somebody and say,

  416. you are whatever. You are who you are. Now, when

  417. it comes to the spiritual side of things, you

  418. understand, you are Jesus. In that sense. Amen?

  419. You are Jesus. You come from the Word. See, the

  420. Word is where we originated from. And so, what

  421. you need to understand, you cannot... you know,

  422. kind of responses, reactions, personalities and

  423. all those things that's different from his. Let

  424. this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus.

  425. I mean, be like him. You've got to be like him.

  426. You cannot tell me that you are a child of God

  427. who hears from God and you have a selfish nature.

  428. You cannot tell me that you are a child of God

  429. and you carry with you bitterness from, there's

  430. people that carries long lists of things that

  431. has happened to them and they never let go of

  432. it. You have to sit here today and say to yourself,

  433. it's going to change. I must connect to that

  434. one channel. That's the God channel. That God

  435. channel that has all that I need for my day,

  436. for my life, for my family, for my future. Come

  437. on, give him a praise offering. Glory to God.

  438. You know. One of the things that amazes me, I

  439. love to watch Animal Channel and you know that

  440. penguins, for example, you know, they say that

  441. some of these penguin colonies are huge. One

  442. of the penguin colonies, they say, has like over

  443. one and a half million penguins. It can actually

  444. be seen out of space. And when the... Egg is

  445. laying, you know, I'm sure you know the story,

  446. but the father takes care of the egg, and then

  447. the mother goes out far to go and get food, and

  448. sometimes months stays away, and then when she

  449. comes back, or at least weeks, I don't want to

  450. exaggerate, but when she comes back, she comes

  451. back to a colony where everybody looks the same.

  452. They all look the same. And in fact, what they'll

  453. do is the penguins, the males will line up in

  454. lines and then she'll come from the front and

  455. walk by. You know, it's just incredible to see.

  456. And then what the husband will do, he'll sing

  457. the song that he sang to her before she left.

  458. And she recognizes him by his song. See, it's

  459. so important that you understand there's voice

  460. recognition going on in the spirit realm. Just

  461. think about that. Say it again. Can I get some

  462. water? Richard, just hand me a bottle there.

  463. Thank you so much. Pastor Tony, thank you. Thank

  464. you so much. They say that a baby can get to

  465. know the mother's voice from about 30 weeks on,

  466. some earlier, can start recognizing the mother's

  467. voice so that when the baby is born, it already

  468. knows the mother's voice. So when the baby comes

  469. into this world, it already feels comfortable.

  470. For us, Jesus said that my sheep know my voice.

  471. When I speak, they hear me. That's why it's so

  472. important you must be born again. That's one

  473. of the problems of our time. I see so many people

  474. just given, you know, a couple of words to say

  475. and a couple of lines to say and then a handshake

  476. and say, you're now part of the family of God.

  477. I wish that was the way it could be, but it's

  478. not. You have to be born again. Come on, look

  479. at somebody and say, you must be born again.

  480. I mean, Jesus made that an emphasis. You must

  481. be born again. Now, what happens when you become

  482. born again? Listen to this. The moment you become

  483. born again, you recognize his voice immediately.

  484. Why? It's because there was communication going

  485. on between you and God before you were even formed

  486. in your mother's womb. Isn't that what he said

  487. to Jeremiah? Before I formed you in your mother's

  488. womb, I called you. So there's obviously, it

  489. seems like there's been some communication going

  490. on. And I would not be surprised, but there's

  491. communication going on in the spiritual womb

  492. before you're birthed. And the moment you are

  493. birthed, immediately there's recognition. Oh,

  494. I know that voice. That's the voice of my creator.

  495. Oh, come on, give him a praise offering. That's

  496. what it's all about. You know him. I know him.

  497. You know him by his voice. God always talks.

  498. Say it, God always talks. Is that the time, 9,

  499. 10, 12? Boy, I'm past my time, am I not? Okay.

  500. You know, someone just said, if God will just

  501. talk to me. I don't know why, but God doesn't

  502. talk to me. You know, you are so far off. God

  503. talks all the time. All you have to do is tune

  504. in. You must tune in to hear his voice. You cannot

  505. just hear his voice. In fact, you will not know

  506. he's even talking. He's talking right now. God's

  507. voice is speaking right now. And all you have

  508. to do is just tune in. What does God say? Right

  509. in this moment, all you have to do, tune in.

  510. And then you're going to find out that God is

  511. there. He's got something to say to you. You

  512. know, sometimes people call God something. Something

  513. said to me. Something talked to me. God is not

  514. a something. You have to learn when it's God.

  515. That's God speaking to you. It's not something.

  516. You're a child of God. You're a child of the

  517. most high God. You belong to the one who made

  518. the heavens and the earth. And he's recognizing

  519. you as his own. And he talks to you. And when

  520. he talks, you're supposed to hear his voice.

  521. And now in the past, you know, God would speak

  522. and people would hear a sound, but they don't

  523. know what is going on. You must say to yourself,

  524. Lord, you've got to help me recognize. It's just

  525. something about that. I was in Rhodesia pastoring

  526. a church and there was a family that I was trying

  527. to reach for the Lord across the street. And

  528. their son died in a horrible car accident. They

  529. were Catholics. Then they asked me if I would

  530. pray for their son after he had died. And I thought,

  531. well, you know, that's a chance for me to get

  532. them into church. Sure. And I told them, come

  533. to church. I'll pray for your son. I thought

  534. I'd just, you know, say a prayer for his life.

  535. And they were broken. And I was so interested

  536. to reach them for the Lord. Then we had a song

  537. special arranged. You know, I had no plan, no

  538. part in that. And the lady who sang the song,

  539. I don't even know what she sang, but at one place

  540. she paused, the music kept on playing, and then

  541. she recited words that caught my attention because

  542. it said more or less something like this. She

  543. was talking about a motorcycle cyclist that got

  544. killed and went to hell. And, you know, all these

  545. horrible things. And I almost fell off my chair.

  546. You know, couldn't believe what was going on.

  547. And my eyes on them. And I thought they were

  548. going to get up and walk out. But they didn't.

  549. After church, I went to go see them at their

  550. house, Missy and I. And I said to the lady, you

  551. know, I'm here to just come and sit things right.

  552. I just want you to know, I had nothing to do

  553. with that song that was sung. She said, What

  554. language did she sing in? I said, no, it was

  555. all English. Her husband was, at that moment,

  556. was in the bathroom. And so when he came out

  557. of the bathroom, she said, Roger, that lady that

  558. sang tonight, what did we just talk about here

  559. when we came home? And he said, we wanted to

  560. call and ask you, what kind of language did she

  561. talk in? They didn't understand it. I said, God.

  562. can confound or God can amplify. It's up to the

  563. listener. Are you tuned in or is it something

  564. God doesn't want you to do and so on? It's like

  565. when Saul of Tarsus got kicked off his horse,

  566. donkey, and they heard a voice that spoke in

  567. the Hebrew language. And the people heard sounds.

  568. But only Saul recognized what was being said.

  569. You know what I'm saying? Because the voice recognition

  570. is channeled to the one that's tuned in. You

  571. cannot be halfway tuned in. You may hear a sound.

  572. But you've got to be properly tuned in and say,

  573. Lord, here am I. Speak to me. Oh, come on, give

  574. him another praise offering. Will you? Glory

  575. to God. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

  576. You know, let me bring it to this point and say,

  577. how do you tune in? I don't know how other people

  578. tune in. I'll just tell you how it happened for

  579. me. Once you get to a place, it's got to be overwhelming.

  580. You've got to sit here today and say to yourself,

  581. I want to hear God more than anything else in

  582. my life. I am. Everybody say, I am a child of

  583. God. Put your hand up real high. Say, I am a

  584. child of God. But another thing that I liked

  585. what he said last night, man, you cannot receive

  586. while you keep on talking. You've got to learn

  587. to. Listen. You have to listen. Let me just read

  588. you a verse first. It's not going to be in Corinthians,

  589. so just don't go there yet. But I'll just read

  590. it to you in Isaiah 6. You remember when Isaiah

  591. prophesied and God said, go and say to this people,

  592. keep on listening, but you won't comprehend.

  593. Keep on looking, but you will not understand.

  594. Make the heart of this people insensitive and

  595. make its ears unresponsive. Shut its eyes so

  596. that it may not look with its eyes and listen

  597. with its ears and comprehend with its mind. You

  598. can hear these sounds, but you won't understand

  599. them. Somebody will teach a lesson here, you

  600. know, up front and you'll sit there and all you'll

  601. hear is theology. All you hear is perhaps maybe

  602. hermeneutics or whatever, you know, they're dwelling

  603. on or eschatology or any of these theological,

  604. you know, excuse me, nonsense. I say nonsense

  605. because oftentimes that's all it can amount to

  606. when we have to make a decision between that

  607. and the supernatural. We have to have all of

  608. that stuff. But most of all, I want to see the

  609. supernatural. I want to see God, you know, and

  610. I got to tune in. Jesus once, when they asked

  611. him in Matthew 13, why do you speak in parables?

  612. He said, because it is given only to some to

  613. understand. Others don't. They don't understand.

  614. People sitting here, I see that all the time

  615. when you preach. And only some can get the revelation.

  616. It's really a horrible feeling, you know, when

  617. you receive something from God and you go home

  618. and you want to share it with your family or

  619. your friends or your church and they sit there

  620. and they just stare at you. I'll tell you, you

  621. know, just in passing why that is, though, is

  622. because you're trying to share just seed with

  623. him. People don't eat seed. If you've picked

  624. up something, you know, or have been given something,

  625. it's normally in the form of seed. And so what

  626. you have to do is put it in the oven of your

  627. soul and let it develop and become bread. Then

  628. all of a sudden you find out, wow, people now

  629. are going to, they're going to receive from you.

  630. So I ask God, Lord, I want to hear your voice.

  631. What must I do? What can I do to hear your voice?

  632. And, you know, like we oftentimes do, I asked

  633. the question and then provided my answer. What

  634. should I do to hear your voice? And then I said,

  635. I'm sure I have to pray more. And I really didn't

  636. like that idea to start off with. It was just

  637. at the time. Many years ago when they started

  638. with this early morning prayer thing where you

  639. have to pray for an hour. And my prayer time,

  640. you know, is at a different time. My prayer time

  641. is 3 o 'clock in the morning. That's my prayer

  642. time. Now, 5 o 'clock I wake up and I got to

  643. go and pray now. And you got to pray for an hour.

  644. And so what you do is when you go around your

  645. daily tasks and so on, you collect, because you

  646. look at your watch and you say, ooh, I have 20

  647. more minutes. I've got to really stretch this

  648. prayer request a little bit, you know, and collect

  649. more prayer requests. You know, somebody tells

  650. you that they have a problem. Oh, wow, wait,

  651. I'm going to just put it on my notebook. That's

  652. going to give me 10 extra minutes in my prayer

  653. time, you know. I'm not putting prayer time down.

  654. I'm just telling you, this is a yawn thing. This

  655. is just my experience at that time. And you end

  656. up not enjoying it. The first time, man, you

  657. could pray on that thing and use six minutes.

  658. And I mean, after three mornings praying on the

  659. same thing. I mean, you can go through. A lot

  660. of detail. I mean, you add a lot of imaginary

  661. words in there and so on. And you get it done

  662. in three minutes. You wonder, whoa, what am I

  663. going to do? So you end up speaking in tongues

  664. and oftentimes that feels hollow. You have no

  665. encounter with God. Say encounter with God. It's

  666. got to be a daily thing. You've got to have encounters

  667. with God. So, Lord, what must I do? What can

  668. I do to hear your voice? Should I pray more?

  669. I'm sure I must pray more. And I was really hoping

  670. God wouldn't agree with me. You know, I'm talking

  671. about my, you know, early morning prayer time.

  672. You know, I was so afraid that God would say,

  673. yeah, you got to actually not only pray, but

  674. spread some glass out there also and crawl on

  675. it so you can bleed at the same time and suffer.

  676. And, you know, that's not how we hear from God.

  677. Should I pray more? And then God didn't answer

  678. me. And I don't know if I've ever shared this

  679. story with you, but I remember, I mean, I was

  680. really serious. God, I want to hear your voice.

  681. And then later that morning, I had to go and

  682. do some shopping in a stationary store. And when

  683. I went through the store, I saw a little counter,

  684. you know, those that you click and the number

  685. goes up. And clearly, I felt the Lord laying

  686. on my heart to pick that up. And he said, pick

  687. that up. And my wife already calls me Mr. Gadget.

  688. And I knew that she's going to accuse me of that

  689. when I get home. Because what are you going to

  690. do with that gadget? But I bought it. And when

  691. I got in the car, it has a little ring that you

  692. can clearly fit around your finger. And when

  693. I got in the car, God spoke to me and said, now,

  694. I want you to take that thing. And I want you

  695. to. Click every time you say Jesus or God or

  696. hallelujah, praise God. Anything to do with heaven,

  697. click. And I want you to do it 500 times until

  698. I change that. And I'll tell you what, I'll never

  699. forget that first day, you know, glory to God.

  700. You know, you drive your car, glory, hallelujah,

  701. thank you, Jesus, glory. And then here at 3 o

  702. 'clock in the afternoon, I looked at the camera.

  703. It's only 200 times. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. You

  704. know, just... And I mean, you know, just... Then

  705. the thing that followed up there several weeks

  706. later, God said, now you go up to 1 ,000. You

  707. know, when I got to 2 ,000, when God told me

  708. to keep it at 2 ,000 a day, my entire life...

  709. my perception of things, of the spirit world,

  710. of people. I would talk to people and I would

  711. literally see their lives. It was just incredible.

  712. God would show me things that I never thought

  713. could be possible. My wife said to me, she said,

  714. Jan, you don't sleep. You're praying all the

  715. time. I said, yeah, I'm making up 2 ,000, you

  716. know. But that's not what it was. I became totally

  717. heavenly minded. And so it's not about praying,

  718. church. Long, repetitive words. It's all about

  719. learning to hear the voice of God. And let me

  720. bring this to a close. When God speaks, you're

  721. going to recognize him and somebody next to you

  722. won't even know God just spoke to you. It'll

  723. be a sound like, you know, John heard the sound

  724. as of a trumpet. I mean, how can you get syllables

  725. out of a trumpet sound? But he heard God speak

  726. long revelations out of a trumpet sound. Later

  727. on, it was the sound of many waters. You see,

  728. you can sit by the ocean and hear waters, and

  729. then all of a sudden, God can start speaking

  730. to you. See, God speaks to you in many, many

  731. ways. You see, nature hears God. Listen, God

  732. spoke and waters heard him. Come on, help me.

  733. God spoke and trees heard him. God spoke and

  734. bread heard him. God would speak in many different

  735. ways. You understand? You remember it was the

  736. fig tree. Wasn't it also a rock that heard the

  737. voice of God? You understand? When God speaks,

  738. the deaf ears could hear God. When nobody else

  739. could hear, they could hear. You see, the dead

  740. heard the voice of God. See, God's voice is right

  741. around. I mean, fish heard God. Now, quickly

  742. put 1 Corinthians 14 up there. You remember the

  743. teaching on 1 Corinthians 14 as I close with

  744. this in verse 14. He says, Paul is teaching so

  745. far, if I pray in a tongue, what? My what? Read

  746. it. My what? Spirit prays. So if I pray in a

  747. tongue, my spirit prays. Much different from

  748. when your earthly person prays. See, your spirit

  749. is a phenomenal thing. Your spirit is much more

  750. phenomenal than what you can imagine. You may

  751. not with your earthly ears hear God because you

  752. haven't trained yourself. You've got to train

  753. yourself to hear God. But your spirit knows him.

  754. You remember a good example is, you know, the

  755. prophet Elijah when he was sent to the widow

  756. where God says, I have instructed her. She didn't

  757. know it. You know, her idea was to make one last

  758. meal for her and her son, eat it and die. But

  759. her spirit had already received instruction from

  760. God. See, you're a spirit man. So I pray in,

  761. when I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but

  762. my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I

  763. will pray with my spirit. I also pray with my

  764. understanding. I will sing with my spirit, but

  765. I will also sing, give me the next verse, with

  766. my understanding. So in verse 15, that's the

  767. one after 14. 16, sorry, yes, thank you, thank

  768. you. So, well, let's just pause there. Look,

  769. what he's saying is, I must make my spirit person

  770. active. You must decide to do that. Let your

  771. spirit man become active. It's not like, you

  772. know, you've changed in many ways. No, no, it's

  773. just the spirit man that's already alive in you,

  774. you are now teaching that spirit man to now successfully

  775. communicate with your earth man. Let your earth

  776. man now become subject to your spirit man because

  777. your earth man cannot hear God. No, cannot hear

  778. God. It'll hear sounds. It'll hear trumpets.

  779. It'll hear oceans. It'll hear the wind. It'll

  780. hear a donkey. But you cannot hear and understand

  781. God. Your spirit man can. And so what you want

  782. to do right here this morning is ask God, Lord,

  783. help my spirit man to come alive. Amen. And so

  784. I look at verse 2 quickly. Give me verse 2. In

  785. verse 2, Paul is saying this. For anyone who

  786. speaks in a tongue does not speak to people,

  787. but he speaks to God. Indeed, no one understands

  788. them. They utter mysteries by. The spirit, your

  789. spirit man communicates with God in a language

  790. that no man can understand. Demons cannot understand.

  791. You have the incredible ability. Now, I close

  792. here. You have to say to yourself, Lord, will

  793. you allow my spiritual ears to be opened? See,

  794. because... Here's the key. If you want to hear

  795. God, you have to learn that with the speaking

  796. of his voice must follow obedience. Isn't that

  797. right, Tony? You have to speak. I mean, you have

  798. to let God speak, then obey. So here's the sequence.

  799. He speaks, you obey, and the supernatural follows

  800. every time. So he speaks, you obey. Supernatural.

  801. I can show you that in every occasion in the

  802. Bible when this happened. Supernatural happens,

  803. but you must learn to obey. Somebody asked me

  804. a few months ago, they said, how can I learn

  805. to hear the voice of God? And I'm telling you,

  806. I didn't think about it. It just came out like

  807. that. Obviously, it was for him. He said, how

  808. can I hear the voice of God? I said, start during

  809. the time of the offering. Boy, it's quiet here

  810. now. So you have to learn that when you hear

  811. the voice of God, there will always be sacrifice

  812. involved. So when God speaks, you must obey,

  813. be willing to sacrifice, then the supernatural

  814. follows. Give the Lord a handclap of praise.
