We're not going to go into much introduction,
-
but it's an honor to have both Dr. Jan Venter
-
here that's to my left and to your right, and
-
on the front row, Evangelist Pastor Dale Everett
-
here with us this weekend. It's been a great
-
weekend. Both of them are going to share tonight
-
on healing. I want you to open your heart, open
-
your heart and receive tonight. Come on, I know
-
what it's like. I was born on Wednesday and in
-
church on a Sunday. It's been 50 years of being,
-
52 years of being in the house of God. I've been
-
born again since I was 10. I've heard hundreds
-
and hundreds of sermons. We need to open our
-
heart. For those of you that have any type of
-
Christian religious background, you're the hardest
-
group. That's right, preacher. Come on, somebody.
-
Come on. You're the hardest group. Remove the
-
excuses. Remove the judgment. Open your heart.
-
And let's receive the word of the Lord because
-
it comes to bring life and healing. Let's welcome
-
Dr. Venter as he comes. Thank you so much. I'm
-
still on. Yeah, I am still on. You can bring
-
up my sound a little bit on my monitors, if you
-
don't mind, please. You know, when you read the
-
Bible, you find out that a strange thing takes
-
place in the biblical time, just like today.
-
And that is that multitudes of people were there
-
only out of curiosity. Only a few people. had
-
the intention of getting to the master, getting
-
to the inner circle. I mean, if you just think
-
of when the temple was filled with people, so
-
much so that there was no room for any one extra.
-
They had to break through the tiles of the house.
-
Bible says the power of God was there to heal
-
them, but they just sat there and questioned.
-
See, that's religion. See, the same thing, you
-
know, with the multitude, multitude thronging
-
Jesus. And when that woman with the issue of
-
blood pushed through, she had the intention.
-
Everybody say intention. See, you've got to come
-
to church with an intention. You know, your intention
-
is what is going to drive you through. Because,
-
you know, there's a lot of things you're going
-
to come drive through when you want to receive
-
a touch from God. Because one of the most natural
-
things that most people have is a fear of man.
-
You know, most people don't want to come stand
-
up front here to speak because they're afraid
-
of man. It's not like they're afraid, but it's
-
just they hold back. So many that don't want
-
to be made a fool of. That's one of the things.
-
The second thing is, you know, when you've come
-
to church a long time, you've seen it all. Come
-
on, can I hear an amen? You've seen it all. You've
-
seen people fake. You've seen people do things,
-
you know, that you don't. really know if it was
-
real. You've seen people just, you know, quake
-
and shake and, you know, all sorts of stuff like
-
that. And now it's affecting you. And you're
-
missing out just because you remember those and
-
you hold back because you don't want to be like
-
that. Hey, listen, you are not like that. Come
-
on, look at somebody and say, I'm not like that.
-
So when you come tonight, you know, you've got
-
to come with an intention to receive. We're going
-
to have an anointing service tonight, and we
-
do this around the world. And we see the most
-
incredible miracles. We see people come out of
-
wheelchairs. We see people receive their sight.
-
You know, it's just amazing. Pastor Dale, and
-
I think, were you with me also when we did one
-
of those in Africa? You know, it's the only difference
-
between Africa and here, they're not afraid of
-
getting wet with oil. Over here, we've got to
-
use drabs, you know, just a small little bit.
-
But, you know, I'm not going to. I'm going to
-
just absolutely just mess you up here tonight.
-
No, I won't really, but, you know, we really
-
want you to receive from God. Now, when you form
-
the lines here tonight, and later on, Pastor
-
will come and explain how he wants it done. When
-
you form the line, I want you to come with an
-
intention to receive from God. And, you know,
-
take your Bibles, if you will, and just go to
-
Hebrews 2, and I want to just read you something.
-
Pastor Dale was, Hebrews 3, he was briefly referring
-
to the rest of God. And I don't want to teach
-
on the rest of God. I really rather want to teach
-
on the word enter. Enter. See, that's one of
-
the things, you know, in the tabernacle of the
-
Old Testament. All the artifacts in there were
-
shadows of things to come. And there was a door
-
into every, there was three sections in the tabernacle.
-
Each one had a door. And to get to the next level
-
and the next level, to get to the first level,
-
first thing you had to do is enter. And then
-
when you wanted to go to the next one, you had
-
to enter again. And when a high priest wanted
-
to go into the holy of holies, he had to enter
-
again. Enter. Say it with me. Enter. You've got
-
to want to enter, you know. Stop remembering
-
what John Doe did when you thought he was faking
-
stuff. You are not here tonight to fake stuff.
-
We're going to speak about the anointing, and
-
then you're going to come forward, and you're
-
going to come with the intention of receiving
-
an anointing, an anointing of healing or breaking
-
a yoke of bondage, whatever it is for, but you
-
are going to receive something. from God in this
-
service tonight. Give him a hand clap of praise,
-
will you? Can I get some water, please, some
-
water? Now, Hebrews 3, Paul is teaching, and
-
he says in verse 7, therefore now, just to give
-
you a little brief, you know, introduction to
-
our scripture reading, he was, thank you so much,
-
honey. You know, by the way, just stand here
-
if you don't mind. Just turn around, let them
-
just see. You know, this is my wife, Hanley.
-
Come on, make her feel welcome, will you? She's
-
really a jewel. You know, I asked her, you want
-
to say something tonight? And she said, definitely
-
not. But I think she should just greet you. Go
-
ahead and just greet them a little. I was just
-
thinking tonight. What a wonderful church this
-
is. And you all let us feel so welcome. And I
-
really appreciate that. It's wonderful to be
-
here. And just glory to God. Amen. Amen. Thank
-
you. That's great, baby. Thank you. You know,
-
the thing is. You know, years ago, let me just
-
back up a little bit. Years ago, I was doing
-
a conference, and it was like a town hall meeting
-
the second to the last night. And they would
-
ask me questions, and I'd have to answer. And
-
my wife then, Basie, was with me. And so one
-
of the questions they asked her, and this was
-
on world television. You know, this was in Bob.
-
Bob Rogers' church, and one of the questions
-
that was asked, does Jan make you happy? And
-
I just knew, you know, she's going to just let
-
the world know what a great man I am and, you
-
know, how wonderful I was. And then her answer
-
came like that, and she said, no. I turned to
-
her and I said in my own language, you know,
-
I said, honey, you're on world TV. You know,
-
what are you talking about? You know, change
-
your answer. But then she said, if I had to depend
-
on Jan to make me happy, it'll never happen because
-
he's so busy. God makes me happy. Come on, give
-
God a praise offering. And that's Hanley. That's
-
Hanley. Now, he was talking about, Paul was teaching
-
actually about the things that happened in the
-
Old Testament. When Moses was leading a rebellious
-
group of people that saw miracle after miracle,
-
supernatural stuff, things that you have never
-
seen. I mean, you know, the sea parting, you
-
know, mountains quaking, water coming out of
-
a rock, you know, just bread falling every morning
-
upon the people, feeding three million and more
-
people. You know, it's just miraculous stuff.
-
And yet they did not draw nigh unto God. What
-
can I get? What is the next thing that I can
-
receive? And now that's why Paul was teaching
-
on this. And here in verse 7 of chapter 3, he
-
says, therefore, as the Holy Spirit says today,
-
if you will hear his voice, don't harden your
-
heart. Verse 10, and therefore, God says, I was
-
angry with that generation and said, they always
-
go astray in their hearts. And they have not
-
known my ways. So I swore in my wrath, they shall
-
not enter. There's that word. They shall not
-
enter my rest. And then a little bit further
-
down, he's talking in chapter 4. And he says,
-
therefore, since a promise remains of entering,
-
there's a promise that is open still tonight
-
for you to enter. You have to enter into his
-
presence. He says, therefore, since the promise
-
remains of entering his rest, let us fear. Or
-
another word, a better translation, I think,
-
should have possibly been, let us become highly
-
concerned. You know, have sleepless nights. Go
-
home tonight and have a sleepless night because
-
you did not, you seem to come short of it. Short
-
of what? Of entering. You're in the service here
-
tonight. And the enemy for some reason. Or your
-
own person. For some reason will hang back. And
-
you're just one of those that wants to just hear.
-
You just want to see another miracle. Hey listen.
-
God wants to do something here for each and every
-
person. And you have to come with intention of
-
receiving from God. Go ahead and give him another
-
praise. offering, will you? Glory to God. Now,
-
you know, the anointing, the anointing is an
-
incredible thing. You know, when you accept Christ
-
as your Lord and Savior, a couple of things happen
-
right away. First thing that happens is he gives
-
you the gift of believing. Faith is not something
-
you generate. Faith is not something you buy.
-
Faith is not something you earn. The moment you
-
receive Christ, salvation is the first thing
-
you receive. And then secondly, you receive faith.
-
He's given to every man a measure of faith. And
-
then the third thing is the anointing. John writes
-
in 1 John 2, you have an anointing. It's already
-
in you. All that has to happen is you have to
-
allow it to manifest. You have to allow it to
-
come to the front. You have an anointing. Come
-
on, look at somebody and say, you have an anointing.
-
Now, come on, just look at somebody the other
-
way and say, I have an anointing. Powerful stuff.
-
You know, let me tell you something. You know,
-
it's not just goosebumps. The anointing, let
-
me tell you about the anointing. The anointing
-
breaks yokes of bondage. With other words, you'll
-
possibly see tonight when we lay hands on people,
-
and if there's deliverance needed, deliverance
-
is going to take place. That heavy yoke that
-
you've been carrying on your shoulders is going
-
to be broken tonight. That cancer spirit that
-
you have been dragging with you for so long,
-
its neck is going to be broken here tonight because
-
that's what the anointing does. Yeah, go ahead
-
and just praise him. Glory to God. Oh, come on.
-
Give him some more. Just give the Lord a hand.
-
But you have to come with the intention. It's
-
amazing, you know, Pastor Dale was talking about
-
it this morning. I thought maybe it's just in
-
my ministry that you see it, but he demonstrated
-
it very well. When you lay hands on some people,
-
they come and stand like this. And when you lay
-
your hand on them, it feels like you're laying
-
your hand on a piece of furniture. See, the anointing
-
is transferable also. See, the anointing, I mean,
-
you can draw the anointing. You know, both of
-
us, I say it not with pride, I'm saying it with
-
thankfulness. Both of us, including your pastor,
-
we carry a heavy anointing. Come on, I can tell
-
you right now, we carry a heavy anointing. And
-
you can draw on that tonight. You know, when
-
that woman with issue of blood touched Jesus,
-
he said, I felt virtue go out of me. And when
-
you come here tonight to receive from God, you
-
know, absolutely open your heart. And, you know,
-
if you've seen people fake falling before, well,
-
so be it. You've seen people, you know, that's
-
fake running or jumping before. So be it. That's
-
not you. And if you come here tonight and you
-
say to yourself, I'm coming with an intention
-
to receive whatever God, you know, I struggled
-
for so long to receive the baptism in the Holy
-
Spirit as a young man. I mean, I got saved when
-
I was 12 and when I'm 21, not for lack of trying,
-
I just couldn't get it. You know, I have an analytical
-
mind. You know, that's just the way my mind works.
-
And, you know, I couldn't figure this out much
-
until I got sick and tired of not having it.
-
And I can clearly remember the 3rd of September
-
of that year when I was 21. On a Saturday night,
-
I was walking around, you know, around and around
-
a big old willow tree outside at night. And I
-
was saying to God, Tomorrow morning, Lord, I'm
-
going to church with the intention of receiving
-
the baptism in the Holy Spirit. I am going to
-
speak in tongues tomorrow morning. You promised
-
it, and because you promised it, I claim it,
-
and I claim it even right now. And then I said,
-
Lord, no matter what the preacher says to invite
-
people forward, I'm going to run forward. And
-
it just so happened it was one of the deadest
-
services I've been in a long time. And the pastor,
-
it was also a communion service. And then he
-
used the word, will the ushers please come? That
-
was my word. That was the word I was looking
-
for. I just come. I ran forward and stood in
-
front of him. I think I shocked the daylights
-
out of him, you know, because he looked at me
-
and he was confused. He said, yes. And I said,
-
yes. And when he laid his hands on me, that's
-
the last I remember. I woke up much later with
-
my head under the communion table. And what had
-
happened, let me tell you, not only did I receive
-
the baptism in the Holy Spirit, but revival broke
-
out in that little church. You know, I'm telling
-
you, come on, give him a handcup of praise. Glory
-
to God. And I've seen it over and over. I've
-
seen it over and over and with him also. And
-
I'm saying this once again in humbleness. I am
-
revival. Because that's my anointing. And when
-
you come forward here tonight, there's no telling
-
what's going to happen because we are revival.
-
That's the anointing we carry. We are healing.
-
That's what God gave us. When you come here within
-
the circle of our presence, wherever we are,
-
you are going to receive whatever your intention
-
is to receive. Give him one more hand clap of
-
praise. Glory to God. Oh! You know, I said to
-
Pastor Dale here before the service, do you feel
-
it also? He said, man, I'm telling you, I feel
-
it all around me here, you know, the anointing.
-
I know many of you could feel it tonight. The
-
worship service was just incredible. Come on,
-
give them a good hand clap. That was just incredible.
-
It really was. But it doesn't stop there. It's
-
now going to go, and you got to come, when you
-
come forward for a touch, you come with the intention
-
of entering. And if you do end up on the floor,
-
hey, listen, that's normally, I've seen, we've
-
seen people, you know, receive a touch from God
-
and went into a trance for the entire night until
-
the next morning. You know, don't receive a touch
-
from God and then just, you know, jump up, stay
-
there for a while. It's God's operating table.
-
God is going to do some stuff for you. You know,
-
the Bible says that in 1 John 2 and 27, As for
-
you, the anointing which you receive from him
-
abides in you, and you have no need for anyone
-
to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you
-
about all things, and it's true and it's not
-
a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide
-
in him. The anointing brings revelation. When
-
you operate in that anointing, you open up the
-
Bible, it's amazing how those words will suddenly
-
just jump up at you. And you find out, my goodness,
-
I never saw this before. I already told you it's
-
going to break the yoke of bondage. And I want
-
to give you two more. Psalms 45 says that you
-
have loved righteousness and hated wickedness.
-
Therefore, Your God has anointed you with the
-
oil of joy and gladness. Don't be surprised tonight
-
when you come here for a touch of God that you're
-
going to break out with laughter and joy and
-
happiness. And you'll go home and people won't
-
know what happened to you. You can just say,
-
hey, I've been in the presence of God because
-
in his presence there is fullness of joy. Go
-
ahead and praise him. Glory to God. Then James
-
5. I'm going to end with this one. James chapter
James 5 chapter mention
-
5. The anointing also brings healing. He said,
-
you know, somebody's sick. Bring them. Bring
-
them to the elders. Let them anoint them with
-
oil. And the prayer of faith will raise up the
-
sick. The anointing can and will also bring the
-
healing that you have. Need of people here tonight.
-
I know there's people here. You came because
-
there's some stuff going on and God alone can
-
break it. So I want you and I, before I, before
-
I end, I just, you know, there's so much more
-
I want to say, but I just want you to say to
-
yourself, tonight is my night. Come and look
-
at somebody right now and say, tonight is my
-
night. Now, you know, when you come for the touch
-
from God, I want you to understand this is not
-
a doctrinal thing. Isn't that right, Brother
-
Dale? It's not a doctrinal thing. Come and talk
-
to him about this. Give him a handclap of praise
-
when he comes. Just make him feel welcome. Always,
-
always excellent, Jan. Always. Wow. Praise God.
-
You know, I've just got to say I love Jan Venter.
-
He is a super guy. A real man of God. A real
-
man of God. And before I carry on also in respect
-
to the anointing, may I say how much I have appreciated
-
The way that you in this church have taken this
-
time of ministry seriously. You guys have prayed.
-
You've been your seed. You've given. You have
-
worked at every level, not just on the stage.
-
Our stage folks have done a bang -up job, have
-
they not? Just absolutely amazing, the folks.
-
But these guys back in the sound and video area,
-
we've not one night had to turn around and look
-
at them. You have gone unnoticed, and that was
-
a good thing. But I've noticed. Thank you so
-
much for what you have done. Really. Our ushers,
-
greeters, those that have served in other capacities
-
have done so well. And while we give all the
-
glory to Jesus, We also recognize that it is
-
the gift of God that is in your pastor and his
-
wife that have... See, they don't just have an
-
anointing to preach. Go ahead. Yeah. Yeah. They
-
don't just have an anointing to preach, they
-
have an anointing to lead. And this scripture
-
has already been read or quoted tonight that
-
God has given, and he listed within that five
-
-fold ministry, that their purpose wasn't entirely
-
to do, but to equip. And you have been well equipped,
-
and you are yet being equipped. Therefore, you're
-
going to hear the well done. Well done. I talked
-
to my wife today and I told her, I said, this
-
really is an extraordinary church and the way
-
that you guys are impacting this community and
-
this area and the world with the gift of God
-
that is in you. it really at every and i went
-
through it with her at every level the way that
-
you guys do what you do with excellence but also
-
with the power of the holy spirit so the evidence
-
of anointing has been before you not just with
-
incoming guests but you dwell with that and that's
-
something that uh the passage that jan has already
-
quoted and by the way he didn't leave anything
-
for me to say so i'm going to reiterate what
-
he said but but the passage in first john 2 27
-
says the anointing you've received of him abides
-
in you you have an abiding anointing here not
-
a come and go thing it's an abiding anointing
-
you know when when we lay our hands on you and
-
minister his anointing tonight, you want to look
-
for something that you're going to keep. This
-
is not a Sunday night experience. This is something
-
that you will carry home with you. And let me
-
tell you what I think. I think it can rub off
-
on the generations that follow you too. Amen.
-
That kind of anointing. You know, Jesus said
-
in Luke 4 and verse 18, it was the mission statement
-
of his ministry, right? As he was opening his
-
first message, if you were to say, to preach
-
as a man on the earth. And he said, the spirit
-
of the Lord is upon me. Because, now listen to
-
this, the spirit of the Lord is upon me. Because
-
there's a reason why the Spirit is upon you.
-
Do you get this? There's purpose in it. There's
-
a reason for it. You must understand that. He's
-
upon us because he has anointed me to. And that's
-
as far as I'm gonna go in the quotation of that
-
verse. I realize most guys take now the next
-
few lines and they beat on that, which is really
-
good, you know, and they expand on that. And
-
I would like to do that too, but that's not what
-
I wanna do tonight. I just want you to see something
-
that the spirit of the Lord is upon you and he's
-
anointed you too. It's a purpose. There's a purpose
-
in the anointing. Now, we do feel the anointing,
-
but that's not why it's there. But I like that.
-
I do, you know, someone says, well, we don't
-
go by feelings. Great, but don't try to take
-
mine away from me. Come on, I enjoy feeling his
-
presence. I enjoy feeling the flow of his spirit,
-
the activity of the Holy Ghost. There's nothing,
-
there's really nothing special about being numb.
-
But it's, it's not about. The feeling. It's about
-
purpose. So he's anointed us to. There's an anointing
-
on you. To do something. To be effective. To
-
be fruitful. To be able to stand against the
-
stream. There's an anointing on you for that.
-
You want to embrace that. That purpose. That
-
empowerment. We lay our hands on you tonight.
-
We're believing God for an anointing. Wow. The
-
anointing heals. James 5 passage that Jan was
-
quoting there. And I like the way James says
-
it. He starts out by saying, is there any sick
-
among you? Wow. I long for the day that I can
-
be in a church. Where you actually question whether
-
anybody could be sick in this group. Think about
-
that. I mean, that was his top question. You
-
think there's anybody around here sick? I don't
-
know. My mentor used to say he held on. and the
-
crusade I was in with him, I think I told you
-
this morning, went 17 weeks. And he was really
-
kind of being humorous when he would say this,
-
not being cocky, but he would say this, by the
-
time this crusade is over, you're either going
-
to be healed or ashamed to say you're sick. But
-
James, he's asking the question. Is there any
-
sick among you? And then he gives them the directive.
-
Let him call on the elders of the church. Let
-
them pray over him. Anointing him with oil. Someone
-
say anointing him with oil. In the name of the
-
Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the
-
sick. I like that. And the Lord shall raise him.
-
You see how positive he is? They shall save the
-
sick. And the Lord shall raise him up. And look
-
at this. And if he's committed sins. He's all
-
washed up. No, he said, they'll be forgiven him.
-
If no one else is going to dance about that,
-
I'm going to. All alone. Come on. Even sin can't
-
stop the anointing. Are you hearing that? Come
-
on. Now, we understand he's talking about the
-
one who's being forgiven of their sin. So there
-
is the repentant attitude. But don't say, don't
-
even think, oh, because I've sinned. And you've
-
repented a thousand times for the same sin. It's
-
because of your unbelief. Oh, don't look at me
-
in that tone of voice. Why do we live with such
-
a sin consciousness when we need to live with
-
a righteousness consciousness? You've repented
-
of your sin, then believe it. He's cleansed you
-
and forgiven you. And don't you let there be
-
a stop on your anointing because of your past.
-
But it heals the sick. You know the difference
-
between the sick being prayed for and being healed
-
is anointing. That's it. And coming, as Brother
-
Jan so adequately said, to enter into and to
-
draw on that anointing. I'm looking for people.
-
Do you get healed tonight? Not to just rub oil
-
on them and pray for them so they walk out greasy
-
and prayed for. You know, I was in a crusade
-
years ago in Illinois, and it was the third week
-
of the meeting, and the lady had, this was her
-
first night out. So many of her friends had been
-
out, and they had been healed, and they'd been
-
on her case to come on out, but she hadn't come.
-
Finally, she came, and I was walking up the aisle,
-
the center aisle, to get to the stage, and when
-
she called out to me, and I paused for a moment,
-
and she said to me, I've come tonight because
-
I've got this, this, this, this. And she told
-
me all the stuff that she had wrong with her,
-
that she needed to be healed of. And bless her
-
darling heart, it would have been easier to tell
-
me what she didn't have than what she did have.
-
She had a grocery of this stuff. And then she
-
said, she went on to say, and I want you to know,
-
I've had Oral Roberts pray with me and Kenneth
-
Hagin has prayed with me. And she went through
-
all the biggies, you know. And then she said,
-
do you think that I should have you pray for
-
me tonight? And her friends were so excited.
-
And I looked right in her eyes and said, no,
-
I don't think so. And she was so surprised. And
-
I says, why? I says, because it looks to me like
-
that you're coming everywhere just to be prayed
-
for. Why don't you come and get healed tonight?
-
And I wasn't trying to be cocky or mean. I mean,
-
that comes natural to me because I was born in
-
New York. But I was trying to catch her attention
-
that the issue for her had been just to go let
-
people. You know, do the little sympathetic thing
-
instead of going for a change. The anointing
-
will heal you tonight. Come on. Now, I like the
-
Isaiah passage, Isaiah 10 and verse 27, and I
-
read just one part of it. And I like the way
-
it's rendered here. It says, and the yoke shall
-
be, but look at this word. The yoke shall be
-
destroyed. Because of the anointing. Now, I've
-
got some wonderful grandchildren, five of them.
-
And occasionally, quite often, in fact, my wife
-
and I, when we get with them, we'll bring a little
-
something. And sometimes... one of them will
-
come or I will come back and see them and either
-
their mother or my wife might be present and
-
say, oh, you know, the thing that you got for
-
whichever one it was, that's, you know, they,
-
you know, they're very upset because they broke
-
it. Now, if they say they broke it, here's what
-
I do. I say, well, let me see it. Because I know
-
that when something is broken, sometimes I can
-
fix it. But if they say to me, you know, that
-
thing that you got, like my grandson Max, you
-
know, the thing you got from Max, he destroyed
-
it. Well, that's it. I don't even want to see
-
it anymore because there's no hope there. Let
-
me tell you about the anointing. It destroys.
-
I was in the Baltimore area in a crusade. My
-
father -in -law was with me. At that time, he
-
was in his mid -later 70s. And I noticed when
-
I looked out into the crowd the opening Sunday
-
morning, and it was a large place, and it was
-
jammed. But over to this side, and they were
-
all, this was, like I say, at least 10 years
-
ago, and they were all very, let's say the house
-
had a lot of suits in it. All right? They were
-
very proper. I came out on the stage. All the
-
leadership came up behind me. They all sat in
-
seats out there. They had it. They got it together.
-
If you couldn't be stiff there, you couldn't
-
be stiff. But I looked over to the side and I
-
saw three rows of emo kids. Boy, did they ever
-
stand out. Now, if you don't know what emo kids
-
are, you know what gothics are, these guys take
-
it to another level. So I looked over there and
-
I saw all those emo kids and I thought, wow,
-
that's quite a sight to see. And my heart goes
-
out to kids for a wide variety of reasons. And
-
one of them is because the gift of God came into
-
my life as a child. You've heard me just make
-
quick statements about my... my experience with
-
christ and and it began early at seven years
-
of age in fact in fact the uh the the bulk uh
-
really the the seed of what was going to happen
-
in my life my destiny came to me before i hit
-
my teenage years and by this time i was early
-
into my teenage years i was already traveling
-
this nation preaching this gospel so when i i
-
see kids i look at them and i say people say
-
they're the next generation i say they're the
-
now generation you need to step up to the plate
-
right now Right now, I mean, get with it. Good
-
night. You know, I mean, here's how I really
-
feel about it. You know, if you're young enough,
-
you know, to know that you're alive, get with
-
the program. Why are we waiting for some other
-
day to come? And for all the rest of us that
-
are a little older, you know, if you're old enough
-
to know you're still alive, then get with the
-
program. I mean, anyhow. So my heart goes out
-
to them for that reason. So I walked down to
-
where the emo kids were, and I started telling
-
them about my call and early in life, my encounter
-
with Christ, how he changed me. They were very
-
early. And then I picked out one of the young
-
men, and I... I brought him right across to the
-
front, you know. And he had those red skater
-
jeans on that made these things look like they're
-
baggy, you know what I'm talking about. And he
-
had the little gold chain with it and the whatever
-
hair and such, you know. And I linked arms with
-
him like that real close. And I said to him,
-
I said, you've got to help me out, man. Now,
-
I was wearing jeans. I was wearing Jesus. So
-
what? Well, that's back when they were wearing
-
suits. I mean, when I came out, I told you my
-
father -in -law was with me. He was in his 70s,
-
about 78 at the time. And he said to me that
-
when I walked out on the stage, he said there
-
was an older couple in front of me. And I'm thinking,
-
you're 78. How old were they that you're calling
-
them an older couple? I mean, these guys. Wow,
-
anyhow. But he said there was an older couple
-
sitting in front of him. And he says, and when
-
I walked out on the stage with the jeans on,
-
the woman turned to her husband and said, will
-
you look at him? He's got dungarees on. Now you
-
understand that no one under 40 laughs because
-
they have no idea what I'm talking about. They're
-
thinking it's something you get from the app
-
store. But anyhow. Anyhow, I held that kid close,
-
and I says, look, I says, you've got to help
-
me out. I said, my God, look around here. Look
-
around. All these people with these jackets and
-
ties on. Me and you, we're the only one with
-
jeans. You've got to help me out. You can't leave
-
me here alone all week long. You know, everybody
-
roared and laughed, but it really knit me together
-
with those emo kids. When I went back to the
-
hotel that afternoon with my father -in -law,
-
I said, if you notice, the kids, especially the
-
girls, you see they all wear very long sleeves.
-
I said, that's not because they're being conservative.
-
That's because a lot of them are cutters. And
-
their arms are marked with scars. That night,
-
God delivered all of those emo kids. Monday night.
-
Monday night there were 20 of them on their back
-
speaking with other tongues. When we came the
-
Wednesday night we had some testimonies and one
-
of the girls came but she just had one of those
-
little tops that just has a crop right over the
-
shoulder like that. She was the first one up
-
to testify. And she told how that God met her
-
on Sunday and changed her heart and filled her
-
with the Holy Ghost on Monday and she held her
-
arms out like this. And I'm standing right next
-
to her when she testified and this is the honest
-
to God truth. If I put two fingers together,
-
there was no place I could have put them on her
-
arms if there wasn't the marks and the scars
-
from the cutting. And she said, this may look
-
awful to you right now, but he delivered me from
-
this on Sunday. But she said, And she said, furthermore,
-
they've already faded 50%. Yeah, that's what
-
she said. And guess what? They've kept in contact
-
with me. You say, well, they still live in Baltimore?
-
No, no, they went off to Maine to a Bible school.
-
And now they're pastors, pastors' wives, and
-
they're in the ministry of the Lord. Understand
-
why? Because... This anointing destroys, it literally
-
destroys the yoke of bondage. Let me just point
-
out this one last thing and then let's do it,
-
let's do it. I won't even read the passage, but
-
you'll find in the passage of Leviticus 21. like
-
between verses 10 and 13, that we discover another
-
wonderful thing about the anointing is that it
-
consecrates. Now, consecrate, that's quite a
-
word, isn't it? I mean, when was the last time
-
that you were checking out at the tractor store
-
and asked somebody, so what have you been doing
-
this week? And they said, oh, well, we've been
-
consecrating. I mean, that's just not really
-
a term we hear too often in our society. But
-
the consecrate, and boy, that's a whole thought
-
and message within itself. But can I simplify
-
it and just say it this way? The consecrate means
-
to mark as holy. Now, we're going to put some
-
oil on you tonight. I'm going to be very discreet.
-
Jan's going to baptize you. Oh no, did I? No,
-
he's not. That was wrong. Here's the deal. We're
-
going to put some oil on you tonight. And when
-
we take that oil and I'm going to wipe it like
-
right here on your forehead. If someone was to
-
look at you as you walk away. And maybe they
-
even got distracted and didn't actually see you
-
when I touched you, and now they see you heading
-
down the aisle to go, and they might think, oh,
-
did he get anointed? They're going to look up
-
and go, oh, there it is. Yeah, you bet. Yeah,
-
he did. You're going to see that oil there. But
-
you're going to go back and wipe that oil off,
-
I understand. But, you know, there's nothing,
-
and I was telling my son this the other day.
-
I said, there's nothing that we do in the natural.
-
as a result or under a command of the Lord or
-
directive of Scripture that is only symbolic.
-
Did you hear what I just said? There's nothing
-
that we do in the natural that is only symbolic
-
if it is something that is directed of the Spirit
-
and of the Scripture. At the same time, there's
-
something happening in the Spirit realm. When
-
I put this hand on the sick to be healed, people
-
say, well, that's just symbolic. Well, it is
-
symbolic, but it's not just symbolic. There's
-
another hand. Did you hear me? There's another
-
hand that goes right there at that same time.
-
And I believe when I put this oil of God upon
-
you, there's going to be someone else that's
-
going to be putting some oil on you. While you
-
may wipe this one off, you won't wipe that off.
-
And when you step out of this room, there are
-
going to be those who will see that mark. Do
-
you understand what I said? You walk into that
-
hospital room and those afflicting spirits who
-
have been diseasing that individual. are there
-
in that room, the minute you walk in, they're
-
going to look up and they're going to see that
-
mark of consecration. And they're going to say,
-
oh, this is going to be a bad day for us. But
-
listen, there are some others in that room too.
-
It's those angels that were sent to attend to
-
that one. and when you walk in that room they're
-
going to look right up and they go that's what
-
we were looking for we've got cooperation here
-
the mark is upon them i'm not talking crazy talk
-
to you i'm talking real speech they'll see it
-
They'll know it. Let me tell you something. People
-
are all worried about the devil's here, the devil's
-
there. Let me tell you something. When you walk
-
out of here with the anointing of God and you
-
go back into that place of business, home or
-
wherever it is where the enemy has been so active,
-
the minute you walk in with that mark of his
-
consecration and his empowerment, you're going
-
to give the devil hives. Amen. Amen. So as you
-
come tonight, I want you to come in faith. I
-
want you to come with expectation. I want you
-
to come with a heart open. I want you to come
-
with a sense of the Spirit. Don't be standing
-
in line with your cell phone checking your Instagram.
-
Why don't you come praying in the Spirit with
-
a heart open to what God is doing. Expect something
-
great. And you know what you're going to get?
-
You're going to get more. I can promise you this.
-
Whatever you think you got, I don't care if you
-
feel like you went into the third heavens when
-
we anoint you and heard the very choir of God.
-
I can promise you this. You're going to find
-
out in the days to come you got a lot more than
-
that. I've never, never in my life have I ever
-
fully appreciated or properly appraised any work
-
of God that came to me. I always have. And let
-
me tell you, I'm not alone with this, baby. I
-
always underestimate what he has done. He's always
-
doing more. Exceedingly, abundantly. Above all
-
that you can ask or think. Whatever you think
-
you got tonight, I can promise you, it was more.
-
was more. Now, I'm going to tell you, on the
-
other hand, if when we lay our hands on you and
-
anoint you, you don't feel like you got squat.
-
You say, I don't know what I got. I slapped oil
-
in my face. That was nice. I can tell you what,
-
you got more. There have been times when men
-
have laid hands on me and I've hit the floor
-
and been out for a long time, got up, only to
-
know that he did way more in me than what I understood
-
in that moment. And there have been other times
-
that people have laid hands on me and I thought,
-
well, I really appreciate it. It was very kind
-
of you. Thank you so much for doing it. And then
-
turn around and realize, wow, did I get more.
-
I have done some of the African -American conference,
-
prophetic conferences up in the codas. And I
-
remember one time I was up there and the lady
-
prophet that I've known for quite so many years
-
was to pray with me because up at that point
-
I had gone years and years and years without
-
being able to recall a dream. And I said, I know
-
one of the main languages of the spirit of dreams
-
and visions, but I know I dream, otherwise you
-
go out of your mind. I said, but I don't ever
-
remember. I can't tell you in 10 years I'm remembering
-
even a pizza dream. I was a holy ghost woman.
-
And she said, well, at the right time I'll lay
-
hands on you. She said, I had the same thing.
-
And I got prayed for and it opened right up to
-
me. So at one point in the conference, she just
-
said, this is it, come on up, come on up. And
-
I went up and she laid hands on me and I really
-
respect her, but I gotta tell you, I didn't in
-
a sense feel anything at all, but I was appreciative.
-
I mean, you know, and she prayed for me. I thought,
-
thank you very much. And then I turned around
-
to walk back to my seat and I was drunk. Do you
-
hear what I just said? Did you know what I just
-
said? I was drunk. I barely made it back to my
-
seat and I was shocked. I was as shocked as I
-
was drunk. I didn't know what happened. And boy,
-
it opened up just like that to me. I remember
-
dreams every night. I'm just going to tell you,
-
look for more. When we touch you, when you walk
-
out of this room, whatever you believe you got,
-
look for more. Expect more. There's going to
-
be exceedingly abundantly stuff going on. interested
