Praise God. You know, I just want to take this
-
opportunity once again to thank the pastors and
-
the Board of Elders to invite us here. It's just
-
like Pastor Dale said, it's really such a pleasure
-
to talk to people that are well ministered to.
-
You know, you go to some churches and even when
-
you speak shallow, you can still feel like you're
-
shooting over their heads, you know, and they...
-
They don't catch it. But over here, it's such
-
a pleasure to speak and to feel like it's going
-
into the hearts of the people. I'd really like
-
to, I really enjoy it. If you were here, how
-
many of you were here in the first service this
-
morning? Quite a few. And you will agree with
-
me, wasn't that a great word? Yeah, go ahead.
-
Now, I'd like to continue with that. I just felt
-
like it was such a great word that I just want
-
to add my little piece to it. And if you'll just
-
put that scripture back up where Jesus, in verse
-
19, John 20 and verse 19, the Bible says, Then
-
the same day at the evening, being the first
-
day of the week when the doors were shut, Now
-
that tells you right away something was going
-
on there. I'm talking about politically. You
-
know, they just crucified Christ three days ago.
-
And there must have been turmoil going on. You
-
know, you remember how afraid Peter was to admit
-
that he was part of Christ. And here you see
-
these men. not knowing what's really going to
-
happen, gathered together. The doors are shut
-
where the disciples were assembled for fear of
-
the Jews. And then in that situation of great
-
fear came Jesus. And he stood in the midst and
-
said unto them the thing they needed most at
-
that moment, peace. Let's pray. Heavenly Father,
-
we thank you so much for your word. What a great
-
honor to be students of your word. And I want
-
to pray today that you would grant that in this
-
service today, Lord, that you would grant that
-
we also may receive a spirit in the chamber of
-
fear where we may keep it in hiding. But that
-
you would Come and pay us a visit in that area
-
because we belong to you. We ask it in the name
-
of Jesus, and we thank you, Lord. You know, if
-
we look at what's going on in the world today,
-
it's no wonder that I said at the first service
-
that I was here, if you look at the church, I'm
-
talking about the body of Christ. If you look
-
at it in comparison to where it was not too very
-
long ago, remember when the revival at Pensacola
-
was going on? My, my, my, wasn't that a highlight
-
in the life of the believers of our time? Revival
-
fires swept through the land. And now after this
-
COVID thing, it just seemed like it was, as if
-
a bomb exploded inside the church. And when you
-
look at it from an upper level, it just seems
-
like everything is just laying in pieces. Churches
-
have just lost so many people. Pastor Dale shared
-
with me last night that most pastors that he's
-
been talking with was telling him that Even after
-
the people came back, as little as 40 % of their
-
people came back, some instances 60%. It was
-
just a great loss. And then as I go around, you
-
know, from the time when they opened up the services
-
again for me to go around ministering a little
-
bit, in most places, it's not like here. You
-
guys are really blessed. You guys are really
-
fortunate. Your worship level here, if you'll
-
agree with me, Pastor Dale, your worship level
-
here is at a standard and at a level much higher
-
than most other places that I know about. God
-
has obviously got his hand on you here. And I
-
think you ought to give the Lord a hand clap
-
of praise for that. Now, you know, when we come
-
together like this, you know, and we come and
-
sit under the Word, it's really, like I said,
-
it's really a place we come in here to be fixed
-
up. We get damaged. Things happen out there and
-
we get damaged. You find you end up thinking
-
wrong, talking wrong, mixing with wrong people,
-
Horrible decisions. Because you have to understand.
-
You are not ordinary. Let me say that again.
-
Yes. Amen. I mean if you're not going to say
-
amen in your language. Then I'll speak in my
-
language. You know. We are not ordinary people.
-
We are. Listen, I want this to hit home. We are
-
children of another kingdom. We are children
-
of the most high God. We have been endued with
-
power such as this world does not know about.
-
It's incredible. I mean, the power that he's
-
giving the church, and if you can just believe
-
at that level, there's nothing, and that is with
-
emphasis, nothing that is impossible for God.
-
Now, whenever the word is being ministered, it's
-
always ministered to prepare you for what lies
-
ahead. And, you know, at times also when we come
-
together here, we come together and he's not
-
only talking about what lies ahead, but he's
-
also got to fix up what happened yesterday, what
-
happened on the way here to church. You find
-
yourself at a place where you're not supposed
-
to be. And so many times you watch people, and
-
I see that I've been ministering long enough
-
to know that The vast majority of people see
-
themselves as inferior, much, much more inferior
-
to the disciples of old. Inferior even to the
-
preachers that are speaking and teaching them.
-
They feel inferior. They sit there and they know
-
secretly that there's stuff going on in their
-
lives. There's things right now that as I speak
-
about it that just absolutely hits you like a
-
sharp edge in a rough spot in your spirit. You're
-
sitting there and you know that you can do better
-
with your prayer life. You should do better with
-
your prayer life. You sit there and you know
-
that your Bible reading is not what it's supposed
-
to be. You have gotten to a place where you become
-
so much like the rest. You have to know that
-
the church of our time, we used to stand out
-
above all the others. And I'm not talking about
-
dress code. I'm talking about lifestyle, you
-
know, recognizing what is wrong and not doing
-
it. When you know a thing is wrong, then you
-
see it's wrong and then you avoid it. You try
-
and live a holy life. But the church, these last
-
few years, it just seems like there's no difference
-
between them and the world out there. It's no
-
strange thing to see people come to church and
-
halfway through the sermon, see people walk outside
-
to go and have a smoke. Get a smoke break. It's
-
something that, you know, as I grew up, you never
-
would see stuff like that. You know that you
-
saw people that would memorize scripture. You
-
would come to a church and see somebody at this
-
level and then come back next year and they're
-
higher. And when you come again, I mean they're
-
flying top colors. Growing in the spirit. Now
-
there's a stagnancy that has come upon the people.
-
And it's no wonder that at a time like... COVID
-
that is around us, that's a good way to compare
-
this with that in the time of COVID, it just
-
seems like we've locked ourselves up in a room
-
for fear. Fear for something that is... So far
-
beneath the power of God. I mean, it is so inferior
-
to the touch of God. COVID, no matter how they
-
can explain how dangerous it is, my God is far
-
bigger than any COVID or any disease or anything
-
that the enemy can bring to us. Glory to God.
-
But in spite of the fact that we know that, we
-
still lock ourselves up in a room of fear. And
-
you know that fear and faith cannot live together.
-
You are a faith child. Look at somebody right
-
next to you and say, I'm a faith child. Come
-
on, say it again, but this time say it with,
-
no, no, no, no, no, no. Listen, I, you know,
-
please don't be offended. I'd like for you to
-
say it without smiling or laughing about it.
-
This is tough stuff we're talking about. Look
-
at the person next to you say, I'm a faith child.
-
You know, the second thing I want to bring to
-
you here based upon what Pastor was preaching
-
about, Pastor Dale. is the fact that I think
-
all of us grow up from time to time wishing that
-
you were like this one. Or I wish, you know,
-
my hero, my hero is David. My hero is Hannah.
-
My hero is Sarah. You know, we all have heroes.
-
How many of you have biblical heroes that you
-
really, you like them all, but you have heroes?
-
Come on, put your hands up real high. And I bet
-
you for anything you want to, when you look at
-
any of those heroes, not... even one of them
-
was supernatural in the sense that they were
-
not human. They sat exactly where you sit. They
-
dealt with exactly the same situations that you
-
do. They had family problems just like you have
-
here today, but they found the ability to rise
-
up above it to the level to where the Holy Spirit
-
used them as an example to write to you and I
-
so that we could learn from them. Come on, give
-
God a praise offering. Glory to God. And you
-
know, when we preach, when we speak about the
-
things of God, it's very obvious, it's clear
-
that just only a small percentage of people really
-
get it in the sense that it's spiritual truths
-
we talk about. We're not bringing to you any
-
carnal, We're bringing to you the spiritual Word
-
of God, not the Bible, not the pages that we
-
can flip through. We're bringing the words of
-
God, and that is a spiritual thing. You have
-
to understand it spiritually. You have to swallow
-
it spiritually. And when you do, it tastes like
-
honey. And when you look at these disciples that
-
have now locked themselves in here in a room
-
with fear, you almost cannot believe that these
-
men that walked for three and a half years with
-
Christ, that they were now so far removed from
-
the time when they even tried to walk in the
-
water with him. And here they are now, you know,
-
just... not even the shadow of their former selves,
-
because they saw blood. They saw Jesus die on
-
the cross in the most horrific way. They saw
-
him cry out, my God, they heard him, my God,
-
my God, why has thou forsaken me? And they knew
-
that they were, Under the Roman Empire. That
-
was going to come after. Not only the Jews. But
-
especially those. That was following somebody.
-
That was pronouncing himself. Declaring himself
-
to be king. Of the Jews. Now they're locked up
-
there. In a room. Filled with fear. You know.
-
I remember when God asked me one time. Who is
-
your. Who is your hero in the Bible? And I have
-
several. I know many of you have several heroes
-
in the Bible. I immediately, when he said that,
-
because, you know, I love to walk in faith. Mine,
-
immediately I said is Abraham. Abraham. Let me
-
tell you about Abraham, God said. You know that
-
Abraham, I walked with him. I mean, I physically,
-
personally sat down, had a meal with him. You've
-
never had that privilege. And even after that,
-
even after knowing me in such an intimate way,
-
such a personal way, that when the opportunity
-
came for him to stand out and make his stand,
-
He was willing to give his wife away to another
-
king because of fear. Then the Lord said, next,
-
give me the next hero. And I said, David. And
-
then immediately I swallowed my words and I said,
-
no, no, never mind. I take that one back. On
-
and on and on. Now you must know these disciples
-
that are now And I'm not going to speak longer
-
than what it takes this morning. You missed that.
-
These were people that would ultimately turn
-
this world upside down. These fearful beings,
-
these fearful disciples. would eventually get
-
to a place where they did not fear death whatsoever.
-
Almost all of them, I think all of them, died
-
a martyr's death. But nothing could stop them.
-
Paul clearly said, since God is for me, who can
-
be against me? But you have to first get there.
-
You have to get to a place where you grow yourself
-
out of that fear situation. Because you understand,
-
we all have fear. Every one of us have fear.
-
But fear has to be channeled. Fear can be a good
-
thing. It's fear that tells you that you do not
-
have wings. Don't try and jump off a four -story
-
building. It's fear that tells you not to put
-
your hand on a red hot stove plate the second
-
time. So there's some good fear. But the fear
-
that the enemy brings to you is all coupled to
-
a lie. And so you have to get to that place where
-
you refuse to carry that fear. Even though it
-
wants to come in every now and again. It wants
-
to come in. And it comes in just because of one
-
reason, and that is where you somehow allow wrong
-
stuff to come to your home. You allow. Say that
-
word, allow. It doesn't just come in there and
-
forces its way in. You allow it to come in. And
-
once that, he gets a foothold in the house, then
-
with him automatically, just like pastor said,
-
that with Christ automatically comes peace. With
-
the enemy automatically comes fear. You have
-
to get out of that situation. And you would think
-
that Christ, you know, he sat down with these
-
disciples, you know that, and he taught them
-
one by one, I mean, and group by group, told
-
them exactly what was going to happen to him.
-
He was going to die, and just like Jonah, he's
-
going to be in the heart of the earth for three
-
days, and then he's going to be resurrected.
-
He made it clear that they understood. Hey, listen,
-
Terry here, you know, my words. Just wait here,
-
guys. You'll see me here in just a few days.
-
I'll be back. Arnold Schwarzenegger. I'll be
-
back. And none of them, none, none, none of them
-
believed him. Not a single one believed his teaching.
-
Put Mark 16 up there just quickly. I'll just
-
run through it so you can just see. You know,
-
here's Mark 16. This is now just after the resurrection.
-
So that when the Sabbath was passed, Mary Magdalene,
-
is it on there? Mary Magdalene, the mother of
-
Jesus, of James and Salome, they bought spices
-
that they may come and anoint him. What was the
-
spices for? To keep the body from rotting. It
-
was an act of unbelief that they were doing.
-
And then they said among themselves, who rolled
-
away the stone from the door? This is the third
-
day. The stone was supposed to be, they were
-
supposed to know, hey, there'll be no stone when
-
I get there. Just like you say, I'm not going
-
to have COVID. You don't have to have COVID.
-
Oh, there you are again. See, we have to start
-
believing that I don't have to have COVID. And
-
even if COVID comes in, it's still going to be
-
okay. God is going to heal it. But I don't have
-
to have it. And so they came there and they saw
-
the angel there. You know the story. I'm going
-
to just flip to verse 8. They were convinced
-
by these men, Christ is actually risen just like
-
he said he would. Go tell the other disciples
-
and Peter, go tell them. So in verse eight, they
-
went out quickly and they fled from the tomb
-
for they trembled and were amazed and they said
-
nothing to anyone because they were afraid. You
-
know, on and on and on. Fear, fear, fear. That's
-
what these people, whoever is behind all this
-
nonsense, all these lies that's going on politically
-
behind us here right now. They've got plans with
-
our country, and I don't want to get into that
-
here right now, but that's what it is. You know,
-
they want to take advantage of something that
-
you already have. They just want it to come to
-
the surface, and that is fear. Once they can
-
get fear in your heart, they can control you.
-
So they saw angels. Angels. How many of you would
-
be so delighted you come into a tomb like that
-
and here you see. You know, with wings. And they
-
show you the place where he was. And the bandages
-
there still possibly rolled. I mean, just, you
-
know, the way it was around the body. But he
-
came out from inside of it. And he's not there.
-
And then they tell them, hey, you remember what
-
he told you what's going to happen? Well, it
-
happened. He's not here. Go tell the other guys.
-
So they flee. It reminds me of a lady that told
-
me, I thought about angels one time, and the
-
next night she came and told me, she said, last
-
night, she said, a spirit came into my room,
-
and I could actually feel it come and sit on
-
my bed. I mean, it actually, I thought I saw
-
an indentation, and I rebuked that spirit, told
-
him to get out of here. So I said, what happens?
-
She said, well, he left. Was there fear when,
-
He came in, no, no, no, there was no fear. I
-
said, you turkey. There was possibly an angel
-
that came to your room. Why do we expect demons?
-
Let's expect angels. Why do we expect death?
-
Why do we expect sickness? Let's expect health,
-
divine health. The presence of almighty God.
-
And so, just quickly, so they, went in verse
-
9. When he arose early in the first day of the
-
week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out
-
of whom he had cast seven demons. And she went
-
and told the others that was with him as they
-
mourned and wept. Why did they mourn and weep?
-
It was an act of unbelief. When they heard that
-
he was alive and had been risen by her, had been
-
seen by her, they... did not believe her. It's
-
amazing how people can hold on to unbelief. Later
-
on, and I'm going to just skip over to verse
-
14. Later on, he appeared to the eleven as they
-
sat at the table, and he rebuked them, their
-
unbelief and hardness of heart, because they
-
did not believe those who had seen him after
-
he had been risen. You know, let me bring this
-
to this point here. You have to, there where
-
you are right now today, allow yourself to change
-
right now. Come on, let me say that again. You
-
must allow yourself to hear what the Spirit is
-
saying to you. Go home and go and fix up your
-
home. Go and fix up what is wrong there. Fix
-
up your own life. Tell yourself, tell yourself
-
over and over, I have no reason to fear. The
-
Lord is my shepherd. Come on. You know, that's
-
the problem today throughout the country, the
-
world. They succeeded. These people have succeeded.
-
We're right at the coming of Christ. And this
-
thing proved to us that the church is not ready.
-
But this is just the first round. The second
-
round is coming. It's going to be even worse.
-
You better get this one right. Yeah, go ahead
-
and clap your hands. Get this one right. And
-
so, where you're sitting right there, you know,
-
God is, you know, that's... What is so wonderful
-
about Jesus, you see him coming in there and
-
when he came in, he didn't come there with accusations.
-
He came in like you said this morning and he
-
said to them, peace. I bring a gift with me,
-
the gift of peace, peace. Come on, get rid of
-
your fear. Here, I'm bringing peace to you. And
-
at the same time, joy, because in his presence,
-
there's fullness of joy. So I'm... I'm amazed
-
how God's people can be afraid. I'm amazed how
-
God's people can stress. You don't have to stress.
-
God is in charge. Come on, we heard this over
-
and over this week. The reason why it happens
-
is because there's something going on in your
-
life. Something that has allowed fear to creep
-
in. Now it's messing up your relationship with
-
your family, your wife, your business. Everything
-
is getting messed up because you opened the door.
-
And that's why we come to church. We come to
-
church right here so that we can be fixed up.
-
So that you could come and repent, confess your
-
sin, you know. And when you walk out of here,
-
you walk out with new courage. I've been forgiven.
-
Come on, honey, let's do this thing the right
-
way. Let's go home and let our children know
-
this is the house of God. Let my family know,
-
me and my house, we're going to serve the Lord.
-
Let them know that I'm not just saying this as
-
a cliche. I believe that God is my God. I believe
-
that God is in charge of my destiny. I believe
-
that there's not a thing he cannot fix up. I
-
believe that there's not a sickness he cannot
-
heal. I believe there's not a problem that he
-
cannot solve. I believe there's not a question
-
that he cannot answer. I believe I can bring
-
to him whatever is wrong and God can fix it.
-
up every time because I belong to him. I believe
-
that I can walk in to the courtroom of heaven
-
according to Luke 17 and go and present my case
-
right there, the courtroom of heaven. And then
-
to see my advocate, Jesus Christ, the righteous
-
one, get up and defend you and let the enemy
-
know I believe in him because he is my child.
-
Come on, give him a great praise offering. Glory
-
to God. You know, I'm a pilot, and there's, you
-
know, by the way, my books are out there on the
-
table, and there's some books there with some
-
great stories. You know, one is called You Won't
-
Believe This, and the other one is Can You Believe
-
This? You know, this stuff that happened. Many
-
of the stories that's in there is about my airplane.
-
I called Pastor. I texted him this morning, and
-
I said, did I ever preach this and this and that
-
about, and he says, Jan, you've preached so many
-
stories about the airplane. Go ahead and just
-
preach again. So when you're a pilot, I gotta
-
tell you, when you're a pastor and an evangelist
-
comes to your church with a bus, you know that's
-
a man of prayer. So many things goes wrong with
-
buses. And if you know somebody that flies their
-
own airplane, they're people of prayer. But having
-
said that, you know, if you have somewhat of
-
a decent airplane, then they all have built in
-
what we call proximity alert systems. You know,
-
because when you're an instrument pilot, you
-
fly sometimes in the clouds. You fly in the dark.
-
You fly in the rain. You fly, you cannot see
-
where you're flying. So you have to totally rely
-
on your instruments. You fly with GPS. Your GPS
-
connects with a satellite that can see you. You
-
cannot see the satellite, but it can see you.
-
It's almost like God. You can see, he can see
-
you, you don't see him. But you have in your
-
earphones, you have that alert system that if
-
you're flying too low, if there's an obstacle,
-
you know, approaching in front of you, this thing
-
is going to cry out in your earphones, pull up!
-
Because if you don't pull up, you're going to
-
crash. And most of the time when you fly as a
-
pilot, most of the time you have family with
-
you, friends with you. And when something happens
-
to you, it happens to them. There's family sitting
-
right here today that's, you've been hearing
-
God speak to you over and over. You're flying
-
too low. There's stuff that's waiting to happen
-
to you because you will not listen. God speaks
-
to us. Job says God speaks to us in many ways.
-
He speaks to us in dreams. He speaks to us in
-
visions of the night. God speaks to us in many
-
ways to keep our soul from the pit. And all you
-
have to do is just listen. Just pull that yoke
-
back up again and climb just a little bit higher.
-
Get yourself back in a safe spot. Believe your
-
instruments. Believe the Word of God. Believe
-
it. Believe it. You know, God speaks to you.
-
Believe the Word of God. When the Holy Spirit
-
speaks to you, listen to what Paul says today.
-
When you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.
-
Pull up. Pull up. I want to close with this.
-
You know, the pastor's wife told, told me, she
-
said, you know, my husband is so, he is so busy,
-
you know, with the church, church work. Hardly
-
gets time to pay any attention to her, and that's
-
dangerous. Women want attention, you know, and
-
that's really a truth. And then at one of the
-
services, she says that That particular day,
-
a young man, a good -looking young man, gave
-
her the compliment. Man, you're looking good.
-
Next Sunday, she made it her business to dress
-
up again, dress real nice. And then she made
-
sure that he looked in her direction. The second
-
compliment came and to make matters, I mean,
-
the story shorter, she said the time came when
-
they had their first cup of coffee together in
-
secret. And then the time came when she had to
-
do a pregnancy test and it was positive. Started
-
with just compliment because she was flying too
-
low. See, God is speaking to you here today.
-
God is speaking to you always. You'll wake up
-
in the middle of the night and God is speaking
-
to you. You sit in an airplane and God, somebody
-
will be next to you and say something and it's
-
God speaking to you. During the radio on and
-
there's a preacher speaking and he's speaking
-
to you. Listen. When that day came, She had to
-
go and see her husband and tell the husband what
-
happened. And the plane crashed. That beautiful
-
congregation all went down. You've seen this
-
happen before. You've seen large congregations
-
go down just because the pilot was reckless.
-
You see, when you go for your instrument license,
-
they teach you three very, very important things.
-
principles. Number one is you must never, everybody
-
say never. You must never say it won't happen
-
to me. Number two, you must never say to yourself,
-
I can handle it. I've been trained. Look at the
-
clouds. Before you take off from the ground,
-
you look at the clouds and it's terrible clouds.
-
But you say to yourself, I can handle it. I've
-
been trained to handle it. Pilots of great airplanes
-
saw the end of their days because they didn't
-
want, they think that they could handle it. You're
-
safer on the ground than what you are in those
-
clouds, even if you had that training. Or the
-
third thing, when you say, I've got to get there.
-
God is speaking to you here today. This is the
-
weekend of the supernatural, the weekend of healing.
-
And tonight we're going to have a great healing
-
service. It's going to be a night where we're
-
going to lay hands and possibly also impartation
-
of the anointing on people. It's going to be
-
a great service. But this morning, it's just
-
time for you to just right there where you are,
-
ask yourself, am I flying too low? Shouldn't
-
I just pull up? Because the level where I've
-
been flying is putting all, everyone around me
-
in jeopardy. Stand with me. You know, if I had
-
to ask, if I had to ask people to come forward
-
this morning and come and repent, I think, Everybody
-
had to come down here, but, you know, right now,
-
you know, why not just raise both your hands
-
towards God? Just close your eyes, and while
-
the music plays for us, why not pay attention
-
to that thing that God has been talking to you
-
about? That one thing, that thing that's been
-
keeping you at the wrong level. You're heading
-
for a mountain. You're heading for a tower, invisible
-
tower. You're heading for destruction of your
-
family, your business. Jesus came into the house
-
this morning knowing what you're in and knowing
-
what's going on and he's offering you peace.
-
He's saying to you, I brought with me peace.
-
Now with your hands there, why don't you just
-
pray right now? Nobody has to know what it is.
-
You're a man of God. You're a woman of God. Now
-
ask God, help me to pull up this yoke. Pull this
-
yoke up so that I can go to another level. Heavenly
-
Father, we all include ourselves in this prayer.
-
We ask you, In all humbleness, please forgive
-
us for ignoring your voice when we were supposed
-
to listen to you. Please forgive me, Lord, for
-
not flying at the altitude where you tell me
-
to fly. And in Jesus' name, don't go home today
-
the same. Now we bring to you, Lord, our hearts
-
and we ask you, help us to receive peace. Pastor,
-
come. Please give us that which you brought to
-
us and bring to us every day. That is your peace,
-
Pastor. Thank you, Jesus.
