to get right to it, let's go to the book of John

John 20 · chapter mention

chapter 20. We'll do verse 30. Book of John chapter

John 20:30

20, verse 30. And truly Jesus did many other

signs in the presence of his disciples which

are not written in this book. Verse 31. But these

are written that you might believe that Jesus

is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing

you might have life through his name. Everybody

say supernatural signs. Now, here's what a sign

does. A sign tells you where you're not. A sign

tells you where you are. A sign tells you no

trespassing. A sign tells you you have permission.

A sign could tell you caution. Green light, go

ahead. A sign can tell you what's in the future

and what's beyond where you are. Signs always

point to something else. So, John, the apostle,

this great seer, said, listen, I want to talk

to you about signs. I can see I'm not going to

get out of this. Who was that dude that was sitting

next to you? Yeah, that dude. Where is that dude?

Well, you know, that's all right. I need you

to stand over here. Do that. Right there. No,

no, no. You're going to face me and you're going

to stand about. That's a good spot. I need to

talk to this dudette. So anyway, lift up your

hands toward heaven, if you would, little sister.

You have an interest in divine healing. You've

been thinking about it. You've been praying about

it. You told me that I had prophesied to you

about 10 minutes sometime when I was here and

you asked me if I remember and I prophesied so

many people. I don't even remember. I believe

her, but I don't remember. Did I talk to you

about a ministry of divine healing then? I didn't

think so. I didn't feel it. But the Lord's going

to put healing in your hands. This is going to

be, okay, here's the deal. When the two were

on the road to Emmaus, they were doing a seven

mile walk, which is to become complete. And Jesus

comes and visits and he begins to share with

them the scriptures. And they began to say, after

Jesus revealed himself in the breaking of the

bread and he vanishes, they turned to each other

and they said, when he shared with us the scriptures,

didn't our hearts burn? So I had a vision of

God's fire on the inside. So I have to give you,

so you're going to have gifts of healings and

you're going to have miracles. You've been praying

about it, yes? Okay. Has the Lord spoken to you

that he was going to give you gifts of healings

and miracles? Okay, so this is just confirmation.

Okay. So I need you to do some reading. Okay.

So this is word of knowledge prophecy, but here's

the word of wisdom. I need you to read Charles

Price, Real Faith. Okay? I need you to do some

reading of John G. Lake. Okay? I need you to

read some T .L. Osborne called Healing the Sick.

I need you to read, now just because I recommend

a book doesn't mean I agree with every single

thing that's in it. It just means that. There's

a lot in it that's helpful. So like with everything,

you eat the meat, you spit out the bones. I need

you to read Henry Wright, W -R -I -G -H -T, A

More Excellent Way. Does it make sense? And I

need you to watch, oh. I need you to watch some

Katherine Kuhlman, okay? Because there's going

to be something about the presence and healing

with you. And I need you to watch some Katie

Souza. You know who she is. Have you watched

her some? Okay, so I need you to go on YouTube

and watch her, Keith and the Miraculous Healing

the Soul. Okay? I need to catch your husband

later. Okay? And at some point, I will. I'm here.

I know that's also. He's got the kids. It's a

good day for you right now. You know, it's got

like a Valentine's Day present. You know what

I mean? So let's all stretch forth our hands

and let's pray for her. Get ready, sis, because

you're getting ready to receive an impartation.

Ready? Three, two. There it is. Let's go ahead

and lift up our hands and praise the Lord. The

woman, the woman that was back here playing the,

where be that woman? I don't know. Who is that

woman? She was right here. Where is she at? Well,

you know. She could have been here all day. Hey,

woman, come here, woman. Stand right over here,

woman. Sometimes my inner child takes over. Okay,

here's the deal. Ready? When the prophet Elijah

faced a challenge, the Bible says he stretched

himself. And then he saw God do something that

had never actually been done before. So, the

purpose of the challenge is for you to stretch.

And you're going to see Jesus present and reveal

and manifest himself like you've never seen him

do it before. Lift up your hands because here

comes the anointing. You ready? Ready? Three,

two, one. There it is. More. More, more, more,

more. Let's give the Lord a praise for that.

Verse 31, but these are written so that you might

believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of

God, that believing you might have life in his

name. Everybody say the sign. The sign. Everybody

say the faith. The faith. Everybody say, seeing

the sign and knowing the son of God, Jesus Christ.

All right, let's praise the Lord for that. Bye

-bye. So let's turn to chapter two. Everybody

say, read the signs. So in chapter 2, verse 1,

we have, On the third day there was a marriage

in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was

there. And both Jesus was called and his disciples

to the marriage. How many of you were here at

the 9 o 'clock service? Raise your hands. Okay,

so I don't really have to go into a whole lot

of depth. And so the mother of Jesus says, when

they needed some more wine, they don't have any

wine. I mean, son, you got to do something about

this. And Jesus says to her, woman, term of endearment,

why are you involving me? And he says, my hour

has not yet come, but mama, you know, mama already

discerned it. And so mama, because, you know,

I mean, mama knew God, goes to the servants,

verse five, and says, whatever Jesus says to

you, do it. Now, everybody say, we're talking

about supernatural signs. Look at somebody and

say, whatever Jesus tells you to do, do it. Okay,

let's move along. So there were six water pots

of stone. Interesting, six, number of man, stone.

Purifying of the Jews, attaining 20 or 30 gallons

apiece. Jesus says, Fill the water pots with

water. They fill them up to the brim. He says,

draw out now and take to the wedding coordinator.

And they bear it. When the wedding coordinator

turns the water that's made wine, didn't know

where it came from, but the servants which drew

the water knew, the wedding coordinator called

the bridegroom and said, every man at the beginning

sets forth a good wine, and when men have drunk,

that which is not so good. You kept the good

one until now. Then it says this, this beginning

of miracles did Jesus. In Cana, Galilee manifested

his glory. The word beginning is the word archaic,

where we get the word archetype and archaic.

What it means is it is the pattern from which

copies are made. Everybody say the original pattern.

So if you want to see evidence, if you want to

see signs, if you want to see Jesus presence

himself and Jesus evidence himself, you have

to know and follow the pattern of the signs.

Because everything follows from this. So, key

number one, look at somebody and say, whatever

Jesus tells you to do, do it. And after that,

what follows is the miraculous. And by the way,

I'll just simply mention this in passing, that

turning water into wine, according to Jewish

history, was a sign of the Messiah. So turn now

to chapter four. Chapter four. We're going to

look at verse 46, same book. So again, Jesus

came to Cana of Galilee where he made the water

wine. Certain noblemen, his son was sick. Now,

John, is giving us a revelation about how Jesus

presences himself, how he evidences himself,

how Jesus will present himself. He's telling

you at the end of the book the purpose of signs.

But at the beginning, he's showing you the pattern.

Everybody say the pattern. Jesus comes again.

Certain nobleman. Okay? Verse 47, the son is

sick at Capernaum. Jesus came again into Cana

of Galilee where he made the water wine, right?

So a certain man, nobleman, sick, son sick at

Capernaum. And when he heard Jesus was come out

of Judea into Galilee, went to him and begged

him that he would come down and heal his son

for he was at the point of death. Now I do want

to mention this. John has... Lots of themes in

his book. It was incredible. What John does to

the Holy Spirit. One of the themes, everybody

say the words up and down. Everybody say ascend

and descend. Okay, so one of the themes is up

and down. So you have Nathaniel who's praying

under a fig tree, asking God for a rabbi. And

then Philip comes to see him and says, we found

the Messiah. And he and Nathaniel have a conversation.

And Philip lets him know he's from Nazareth.

Nazareth's had a bad reputation. So Nathaniel

says, can any good thing come out of Nazareth?

He says, come and see. Everybody say come. Come

and see. This was a theme of the conference.

It's one of the themes. So he comes and sees.

And Jesus sees him and says, hey. This is a true

Israeli in whom there's no falsehood. He says,

how do you know me? He said, before Philip called

you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw

you. And then Nathaniel says, you're the rabbi.

You're the son of God. Why? Because in that day,

rabbis taught their disciples under a tree. And

this man was saying, Lord, where's my rabbi?

And that word of knowledge was a sign. They made

him believe, see and believe the Son of God.

He says, you're the Son of God. And Jesus said,

you think that's something? Wait till you see

the angels going up and down the Son of Man.

So, notice in the first sign, Jesus says to the

servants, take that water, everybody say, and

fill it up. Everybody say, the miraculous. Now,

you have the nobleman, right? And the nobleman

in verse 47 is asking Jesus to come down and

heal his son for his point of death. Everybody

say, down. Sick, dying, down. Jesus says in verse

48, except you do what? See, everybody say, you

got to see something. Signs and wonders, you're

not going to believe. The nobleman said again,

come down. Jesus says, go your way, your son

lives. And the man believed the word Jesus had

spoken to him and went his way. And as he was

going, everybody say down. His servants met him

and told him, your son lives. And he began to

inquire, when? what hour he began to get better.

Same hour that Jesus spoke. So the father knew

it was the same hour that Jesus said to him,

your son lives, himself believed, and his whole

house. Now John, through the Holy Spirit, makes

the point. This is, everybody say again. The

second sign Jesus did when he was come out from

Galilee, from out of Judea into Galilee. Huh.

So, the key to signs. One is whatever Jesus tells

you to do, do it. But here, the second key is

this. Do what you can do when Jesus tells you

to do it. Everybody say number one. Whatever

Jesus tells you to do, do it. Number two, do

what you can do when Jesus tells you to do it.

Now this is important. Remember we talked about

up and down. Chapter five, verse one. After this,

there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus, everybody

say, he went up. There was a Jerusalem, a sheep

market, a pool. Hebrew tongue, Bethesda, house

of mercy. Five porticoes, porches. They put all

the sick people over there, all that they could

gather. Blind, halt, withered, waiting for the

moving of the water, for an angel went, everybody

say, down. To where the sick people were. troubled

the water, and whoever first after the troubling

of the water stepped in was made whole, whatever

disease he had. And a certain man was there which

had a disease 38 years. When Jesus saw him lie

and knew he'd been there a long time, he said,

will you make a choice to be made whole? Look

at somebody say, healing is a choice. Everybody

say, salvation is a choice. Deliverance is a

choice. Some people, they want relief. They don't

necessarily want release. It's really true with

chronic illnesses. The paralyzed man said to

him, sir, I have no man when the water's trouble

to put me into the pool. Well, where's his brothers?

Where's his cousins? Where's his family? But

he doesn't have any friends? Huh. And while I'm

coming down another step, everybody say, down

before me. So he can't get healed. In other words,

I've been here for 25 years. You've only been

here for 15. Wait your turn. Everybody say bitterness.

Frustration. Anger. Resentment. Offense. Now

notice this man is spiritually paralyzed, mentally

paralyzed, emotionally paralyzed, physically

paralyzed. He's stuck. So now Jesus says, watch.

Rise. Everybody say, take up. And walk. Walk

out of your bitterness, walk out of your anger,

walk out of your resentment, walk out of your

sense of abandonment, your sense of neglect.

Rise up out of your spiritual, mental, emotional,

and physical paralysis and walk. What's John's

point? Whatever Jesus tells you to do, do it.

Do what you can do when Jesus tells you to do

it. But now he goes further and he says, You

can do what you couldn't do before when Jesus

tells you to do it. I was in Missouri. There

was a woman there. She was in a wheelchair. It

was during praise and worship. And I watched

her get up out of her wheelchair and walk. So,

you know, because I'm nosy. I walked up to her

and I said, well, what happened? She said. The

Lord spoke to me. So I said, what did he say?

He said, this is what she said to me. He said,

get your butt up and walk. So she said, I got

my butt up and I walked. Okay. So I'm preaching

in Dallas, 28 nations, 600 people, a woman in

a wheelchair, can't walk. During praise and worship,

she gets up and walks. Well, no, I got to find

out what's up. So I go and I say, what happened?

She says, the Lord spoke to me. So I said, what

did he say? He said, rise and walk. So I got

up and I'm walking. You know, God can speak to

you according to your past history. Apparently,

mama used to tell her with love and affliction,

baby. You have to get up now. You know, when

you're a child. Get your butt up, baby. It's

time for school. I'm going to leave that alone.

Here's the point. You can do what you can't do

when Jesus tells you to do it. Because at that

moment, you're supernaturally empowered to do

it. So now. Let's continue on. Chapter 6, verse

1. After these things, Jesus went over the Sea

of Galilee to Berias, and a great multitude followed

him because they saw the miracles which he did

on the diseased. Uh -oh, something's getting

ready to happen. Why? Because Jesus went up.

See that? He sat with his disciples. Passover,

a feast of the Jews, was near. And this is something

else. Say, I don't know if I want to go here

or not. One of the things you'll notice about

John is sometimes he will put a feast together

with Jesus manifesting himself and revealing

who he is. As if he's saying these appointed

times, feast in Hebrew means appointed times.

There are times that are kairos where God has

decided he's going to reveal himself. Everybody

say set times. See, sometimes we try to make

God do stuff in our time. Look at somebody and

say, find out his time. Let me say this with

regards to ministry. You know, One person was

praying, Lord, I want you to bless my ministry.

Lord, bless my ministry. Lord, bless my ministry.

Finally, the Lord spoke back and said, listen,

I'm not interested in blessing your ministry.

How about you blessing my ministry? You know,

some people need to be delivered from the my

ministry devil. Ooh. Well, I should move on and

get back to the scriptures. Jesus lifts up his

eyes. He sees all these people. He says to Philip,

testing him, hey, how much is it going to cost

to buy bread for all these people? Oh, about

200 days of working just for them to take a little.

One of his disciples, Simon Peter's brother,

Andrew, He says, there's a boy here that has

five barley loaves, two small fishes. He's got

some crackers and some sardines. He's a little

boy. Look what Jesus said. And he said, what

are these among so many? Jesus said, make the

men sit down. There was much grass in the place,

so the men sat down and numbered about 5 ,000.

Wait. But in other gospels, it says that Jesus

made them sit down in fifties and a hundredths.

And then he began to multiply fish and loaves.

And then there was stuff left over. What could

this possibly mean? Whatever Jesus tells you

to do, do it. Do what you can do when Jesus tells

you to do it. Now you can do what you couldn't

do as soon as Jesus tells you to do it. And when

Jesus sets you in order, and you surrender to

his order, then Jesus will do the miraculous.

Order my steps in your word. Psalm 119, 133.

When you follow, when you fall into line, when

you fall into line and obey God's orders, then

Jesus will do the miraculous. Somebody say, very

interesting. Let's see what else is here. Hmm.

Turn to chapter number, you know what I think

I'll do, is I'll take you to chapter 9. Go to

chapter 9, verse 1. Say, I'm interested. This

is my interest. How does Jesus work? What's the

operation of the Spirit? What's the move of God?

How does it happen? Chapter 9. Very interesting.

Verse 1. As Jesus passed by, he saw a man that

was blind from birth. And the disciples asked

him, Teacher, who does sin, this man or his parents,

that he's born blind? You know, what were these

brothers thinking? How are you going to sin in

the womb? Right? So Jesus ignores them. There's

some things you ask Jesus, he just, I just pass.

I'm just not even going to respond. Okay? But

in this case, he decided to answer them. Neither

this man sinned, nor his parents, but the works

of God should be made manifest in him. I must

work the works of him that sent me whilst day.

The night comes when no man can work. As long

as I'm in the world, I'm the light of the world.

Isn't that interesting? First he makes a declaration,

and then he demonstrates. Many times Jesus would,

would, He would do and then he would teach. Okay.

But in this case, he taught and then he did.

He spits on the ground. Good thing the guy's

blind. Makes clay of the spittle, anoints the

eyes of the blind man with the clay. By the way,

in Hebrew history, in addition to it being stated

that the Messiah would turn water into wine,

the Messiah would take a person who's born blind.

and make them see. Also among the poor people,

there was this saying, let me go country on you.

I tell you what, when Messiah come, even his

spit gonna heal the sick. I was just saying.

They didn't say it like they was from Mississippi,

but. He tells them to go wash in the pool called

sin. He went his way, came, washed, and began

seeing. Oh, this is interesting. Whatever Jesus

tells you to do, do it. Do what you can do when

Jesus tells you. You can do what you can't do

when Jesus tells you. If you follow the orders

of Jesus, you'll see the miraculous. This is

interesting. Why didn't Jesus have one of the

apostles take this man by the hand and lead him

to the water? He didn't. What's John telling

us? Do what Jesus tells you to do, even if it's

hard and difficult for you. Even if you have

to stumble through. Even if you have to humble

yourself and ask other people for help and guidance.

Now, I have to make you pause. I have to make

you think about the text. Because this man did

some wandering before he got the wonderful miracle

sign. He didn't know where he was going. He didn't

know how to get there. And Jesus didn't tell

him. He let him struggle. Do what Jesus tells

you to do, even when it's hard and difficult

for you. Because if you'll do what Jesus tells

you to do, in spite of how hard and difficult

it is, you will see the miraculous. See, one

of the things I learned about Jesus is while

you're in the present, he stands in your future.

He stands outside of the border of your present,

calling you into the future he has for you. Even

if for you to step from the present into the

future is hard for you. Like somebody said, but

it's worth it. See, you know, I think I messed

with you just a little bit at this point because

I can. Give me Romans 11, 36. I... You know,

sometimes what you do is you, you know how people

create words and phrases? I feel like if other

people can, I can too. Because I'm talking about,

everybody say archaic. Everybody say archetype.

Everybody say original pattern. So, here's one.

Of him, through him, and to him are all things.

To whom be the glory forever. This is, I call

this the God loop. It comes from God through

Jesus back to God. Everybody say the God loop.

If it's of him and it's coming from him, everybody

say that's the revelation. If it's coming through

Jesus and you're in Jesus and Jesus is in you,

you have to respond to the revelation. Everybody

say revelation. Everybody say response. And to

him are all things. That means that if I respond

to the revelation and do what Jesus is telling

me to do, I'm going to see results and I'm going

to get a reward. And then I return it all back

to him. Just thought I'd mention that to you

because I thought you might find that interesting.

Look at somebody and say, that's pretty interesting.

Now. Go to chapter 11 of John. And let me tell

you this scenario. I'm coming to a close. I do

want to minister to a few people. Here's the

scenario. Jesus has a friend named Lazarus. Mary

or Martha or both of them send a message to Jesus.

Your friend whom you love. Notice how it's framed.

Because they're going to guilt Jesus. Stop what

you're doing for your friend. You know the one

you love. So if you don't stop what you're doing,

you don't love him. So. Jesus stays where he's

at two days. He makes sure he doesn't get to

Lazarus until after the man's dead for four days.

And now Jesus is going to bring him to life.

But before Jesus brings him to life, in chapter

11, verse 39, Jesus is groaning, comes to the

grave. It's a cave. A stone lays on it. He says,

take away the stone. Listen to this. Martha,

the sister of him that was dead, says, Lord,

by this time he stinketh. He'd been dead for

four days. Jesus says, didn't I not say to you

that if you'd believe, you'd see the glory of

God? So you know what happens. Jesus says, Lazarus,

come forth. And the man comes back to life. And

some people believed in Jesus, and some people,

they had a different response. Verse 46, some

of them went their ways to the Pharisees and

told them things Jesus did. Oh, we got to stop

Jesus before the whole nation believes in him.

What's the point? You ready? Do what Jesus tells

you to do, even if it causes a big stink. The

bigger the thing Jesus does, the more stink it's

gonna cause. The Lord Jesus wants to put you

in some stinking situations. Just so he can show

himself. So I'm going to wrap this up. I never

get done. I just have to quit. But let me give

you a wrap up. Archaic, original sign, archaic,

archetype. The original pattern from which copies

are made. Whatever Jesus tells you to do, do

it. Do what you can do when Jesus tells you to

do it. When Jesus tells you something, now you

can do what you couldn't do. Right? When you...

Allow God's word to order your steps. Jesus will

do the miraculous. Right? Still with me? Okay.

So now, let's look at Jesus. Right? Let's look

at Jesus. Wow. Do what Jesus tells you to do,

even if it's hard for you. Do what Jesus tells

you to do, even if it's going to create a big

stink. So, what shall we do? This man works many

signs. So the key to science is to find the pattern.

If you can find the pattern, if you can see the

pattern, you will see the sign. This is why you

have to learn the word, think the word. Speak

the word that will take you into the realm of

the spirit where you can see the sign. Give Jesus
