  4. Come on, all the lovers of Jesus in the room, give them a

  5. great shout. Come on, Shout like you love him, Shout like he's

  6. worthy, Shout like he brought you through it it had not been for the

  7. Lord on our side. Do me a favor. Would you just lift your

  8. hands for a moment in its presence? And let me tell you that's some

  9. of the most dynamic worship you're gonna get in North America. But it means

  10. nothing if you don't open up and join in and let the spirit of the

  11. Lord do a work in your heart. So right where you are, would

  12. you just worship him? Come on, tell him something. Sing to the

  13. Lord a new song. We give you, Praise Lord, We give you

  14. praise, Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord. I

  15. will bless the Lord, Oh my soul and all that is within me bless

  16. his Oh, thank you Lord, lee name. It's my privilege. It's

  17. not a burden. I will bless the Lord, oh my soul, and

  18. all all that is within me bless is. Oh, yes, Lord,

  19. Yes, Lord, Lee old man. And the reason I love this song

  20. so much and it's my anthem, is because this next part. For he

  21. has done great things. Come on, look back over your life for a

  22. moment he has done. Come on, think about a fakfulness he has done.

  23. Grace see blessed, bless he's come on church. Come on, I

  24. fill him in the room, for he has done great things. Tell him,

  25. boy, he has done. Yes, he he had done. Why

  26. he has done? It's Holy name. All the people who got a reason

  27. to praise, come on. That's the reason why. That's the reason I

  28. clap my hands, move my feet. Come on, I gotta testimony.

  29. I gotta testimony. Well, TC, it's good to be home. If

  30. you don't know who I am, I mean, you just joined the church.

  31. I'm gonna staff here at transformation. I'm the pastor of the South Carolina

  32. campus. And I love this church, man, I love this church.

  33. I'm telling you, I love mama. Be like she my mama. I

  34. came over and gave her a hug and just let my mom. She wrapped

  35. me up broke my neck, got some anointing in me before I came up

  36. here. I'm gonna need a massage after this, and this decided I love

  37. this church. Man. You guys are a part of an amazing, amazing,

  38. amazing church with amazing leadership. In a day where leadership ain't that amazing.

  39. God's giving you leaders with integrity and with courage. It's one thing to

  40. be creative, it's another thing to have courage. I'm not afraid to talk

  41. about the tough things, not afraid to deal with things beneath the surface.

  42. And because of that, you and I Sunday after Sunday are being transformed.

  43. I'm looking at Will. I'm like, what the Hollywood is going on up

  44. in Tulsa. This man is ready for the bitch screens you hurt, And

  45. just like he's been transformed to hear his testimony earlier nine years and transformed spiritually

  46. and physically, all of us are the fruit, the product this great message,

  47. the transformed the power of Christ. So can you help me praise God

  48. for Pastor Michael and Natalie Todd come on the staff here, the leaders here

  49. that cover you, that pray for you. And I'm excited. I gotta

  50. work from God. If you got your real bibles. Anybody brought your real

  51. Bible, Keith, and you can bring the keys down pretty aggressively. Anybody

  52. got your If you got your real bibles, would you wave them in the

  53. air. I have a thing that I do for our people at Ford City

  54. in South Carolina, and those who bring their real Bible. I like to

  55. treat you to lunch. So if you have your real Bible, let me

  56. see it. It's a lot of real Bibles in here. Good God,

  57. we in Tulsa. I forgot where I was at. I would like to

  58. treat you to lunch on me join me after church at Chick fil A right

  59. here, and I would like it's a joke that never runs dry. My

  60. wife is so sick of that joke, but it works everywhere. Call me

  61. Dave Chappelle and we're gonna be in first time. Hey, right before I

  62. read that, let me tell you about something that God allowed me to do.

  63. I wrote a book, Ladies and gentlemen. It's my first book.

  64. I know your pastor wrote a bunch of them, but this is my first

  65. one, and it's called are You Praying for the Wrong Thing? And it

  66. got my face the cover, but it really could have your pastor's face on

  67. the cover. And I'll tell you why. It's because he's lived the principles

  68. that I placed in this book. This book was written because I found myself

  69. being corrected by God, because I was, like many of us, praying

  70. for things. Hear me, I wasn't prepared for. And the real proof

  71. of your expectation is not your praise, it's your preparation. You know,

  72. there's a lot of pastors, I mean a lot of people who find it

  73. difficult to celebrate Pastor Michael Todd and find it difficult to celebrate transformation. And

  74. I think the reasons why pastors and people find it difficult to celebrate what God

  75. is doing here in Tulsa because some people think that Pastor Mike got lucky.

  76. You know, they have the reasons. They're like, well, he just

  77. at the right time, did the right thing. God. That's called magic.

  78. This ain't magic what you're standing in hear me, this is both a

  79. miracle and a product of management. I said, a lot of times,

  80. you're praying for miracles but not shifting our focus to management. We're praying for

  81. stuff without strategy. And the Lord corrected me. He said, Travis,

  82. are you prepared for the harvest? You're praying for it? Because I love

  83. you too much to give you what you're not prepared for. And so I

  84. wrote this book are you praying for the wrong thing? And I attributed a

  85. whole paragraph in the back to pass the night because it means that much to

  86. me is my inspiration. And I'm so honored to be here, my wife

  87. and I my wife is with me. Doctor Jackie is in the building and

  88. the fairest of them all. And I was sitting next to her on the

  89. plane and I looked over to her and I said, first of all,

  90. you find Second of all, I said, man, it's a man.

  91. What an honor to be trusted by the Todds and by the leaders here.

  92. I told her that, you know, it's not normal to me. Still

  93. I ap preach her now multiple times, but it's still not normal, because

  94. this is a sign of trust, you know what I mean. It's one

  95. thing to like people, and it's one thing to use people like I like

  96. my cousin them, I use a plumber. But I don't mean I trust

  97. them with my amex. Hello, And this what God has done, this

  98. covenant relationship is built on trust, and it's such an honor for us to

  99. be trusted with this moment, to be trusted with these people, and I

  100. don't take it likely. So I prayed, and I do have a word

  101. from God for you, if you're ready for it. So we're gonna be

  102. in First Samuel. I'm not gonna be too long because I do want to

  103. pray at the end of this and activate something, because I believe I came

  104. to preach to a specific person. First Samuel, chapter thirty. For the

  105. Bible people, you already know what time it is. First Samuel, chapter

  106. thirty. I'm gonna start in verse three. If you haven't say read,

  107. that's old school right there. Baby David and his men came to the city.

  108. They fountain, it burned with fire. Imagine that their wives, their

  109. sons, their daughters taken captive. So David and the people that were with

  110. him lifted up their voice and wept until they had no strength in them.

  111. Till we imagine crying so hard that your strength leads to you. Come down

  112. to verse six. David was greatly distressed for the people taught to stoning him,

  113. good Lord, because all the people were bitter in spirit. Gotta be

  114. very careful. If you don't control your emotions, they'll control you. And

  115. their sadness heard the madness. Have you ever been sad about something and then

  116. eventually you got mad about it? At first she was sad. They left.

  117. They were like the audacity to leave me with this dog. I didn't

  118. ask for the tool. I went, now, I gotta raise them.

  119. You get mad. They got mad, each over his sons and daughters.

  120. But David, that's my part, encouraged, good God, all the Mighty,

  121. encouraged himself in the Lord, his God. And David said to it,

  122. being the priest, the son of ahimelect, please bring me the ephot

  123. so a bathor brought the epho to David. David inquired at the Lord,

  124. saying, should I pursue after this rating party? Hey? Would I overtake

  125. them? And he answered him the Lord, the Lord to answer you.

  126. I feel like preaching up in Tulsa today. Anybody know the Lord that answers

  127. come on, He'll answer you. And they answered them, pursued them,

  128. for you will surely overtake them and will surely recover. Oh, do me

  129. a favor, help me preach. I needn't know what section I'm preaching to

  130. is a lot of people in here today. I need to make sure I'm

  131. not preaching to the Pouji people. I need the church of people. Would

  132. you look at somebody telling them you're about to recover all. You're about to

  133. get it all back. You about to recover all, recover all everything.

  134. The devil's told everything, The devil took every night of sleep. You losso

  135. recover. The devil gonna regret coming against you and your kids, and your

  136. family and your man. You shall recover. Oh, you shall recover it.

  137. Oh, I need about one hundred people to throw your head back and

  138. sean, I want it all. I want it all, not half of

  139. it, not some of it, not ten percent of it. I want

  140. it all. Everything that double stole from me. I'll walk it. Oh,

  141. you shall recover, You shall recover. I can't hear your tosa.

  142. You shall recover cc nation type it like your fingers doing war on the computer.

  143. You shall recover. Oh all means all and nothing. All that all

  144. means you shall recover all. But that's not my message. I can't with

  145. a word simply entitled hold on, there's another chapter. Would you do me

  146. a favorite turn and tell three people. Hold on, there's another chapter.

  147. Find somebody else, tell them hold on, Come on, keep the there's

  148. another chapter. Tell somebody else. Hold on. There's another chapter. Hold

  149. on, there's another chapter. Hold on. The worst thing you can do

  150. is give up. It'll take you longer to go back to the wild and

  151. mork forward. Hold on, there's another eyes haven't seen, he's haven't heard

  152. what God got a store for you. If you just hold on, you'll

  153. be glad you held on. There's another chapter. The Lord Jesus breathing your

  154. word fire and wind, come and do it again. Open up the gates,

  155. let he it on in. We give you credit and advance for your

  156. move and ge this name. Hey man, if you're a sided for the

  157. word of God, give him a good praise. Hold On, there's another

  158. chapter. You could take your seats. Hold on, there's another chapter.

  159. Hold on, there's another chapter. Hold on, there's another I'm so glad

  160. Pastor Michael Todd didn't quit when he wanted to. There was another chapter.

  161. And the question I have for you today is who's waiting on your endurance?

  162. Did you hear what I just said? What is on the other side of

  163. your endurance Gallation six nine. Be not weary in well doing for induce season.

  164. You will reap if you faint. Not notice. The reaping is not

  165. tied to your righteousness. The reaping is not tied to your perfection. There

  166. is reaping that is tied exclusively to your endurance. That's why the devil wants

  167. you to quit. He don't mind you tripping, he don't mind you feeling.

  168. He wants you to quit. He knows he can't stop you, so

  169. he wanted to try to get you to stop you. But she got a

  170. hold on. There's another chapter. I wanted to watch Avengers with my wife

  171. and we didn't know what we was watching. I can't tell you which one

  172. it was. It was the one when everybody started dying and evaporating and we're

  173. sitting there like what in a rapture? My wife speaks in tongues at the

  174. wrong times. I was on a roller coaster last week, I said,

  175. baby, she said, I got a hold on. We was watching Avengers.

  176. I don't know the people is dying disappearance. Spider Man was crying.

  177. That was a sad part. I don't want to die. I don't want

  178. any We walked into there, and there were grown men walking out crying,

  179. not with kids by themselves, grown musty men dressed like incredible, heart wiping

  180. out. Oh god, this bested up didn't do them like that. We

  181. didn't know what was going on. We didn't know what we're getting ourself into.

  182. And we went to watch the movie, and we didn't watch the movie

  183. before that, so we didn't even know who the characters were. We didn't

  184. know anyway, and they chose on this one to have Captain America. We're

  185. all black, Sam. The only reason I know you is because of the

  186. American flag, people clapping when he came on the screen. We're like who

  187. that, We're asking questions. We get through the whole movie, the raps

  188. to take place. Folks start the dmon got on the glove. Folks start

  189. going left and right, and the movie was over. So we stood up.

  190. But there was a white man on our room and this holy ghost field.

  191. White man leaned over and said, no, my friends, you must

  192. be new to this. He said, you might want to sit down because

  193. just because this scene is over doesn't mean that the author has finished writing.

  194. Can I tell you something just because the movie got dark in this season of

  195. your life does not mean it's over. And the worst thing you can do

  196. is walk out of this season, walk out of this theater too fast.

  197. God is still up to something. There is more that's happening in the background

  198. that you can't even imagine yet tell your neighborhood on that's another chapter. Another

  199. chapter. I felt like I had to come to toast and be hot.

  200. Pastor Mike and Pastor Natalie. It's taught me how to be a little hot,

  201. terned, humble, open, transparent. I said, God, do

  202. I have to be transparent? He was like, yeah, just open up

  203. a little bit. So I want to tell you all the testimony. If

  204. you judge me, I will be offended. The year was nineteen ninety five.

  205. Let men talk to the nation because they're tripping up in here. And

  206. I decided to play football. Now you can tell by my size, my

  207. height, and my weight. This wasn't a good idea. Now, Roosevelt

  208. was a really good football player. The name Roosevelt sounds like a good football

  209. player. Travis sounds like a a model boy. If you don't get out

  210. of here walking on the football field, this true story, I gotta show

  211. you. This is me my first year in playing football right here. Put

  212. up this, this is me. Wait a minute before you say, oh,

  213. you need to recognize how old I am. And I said, ah,

  214. like I'm five. I am all of thirteen right there, I'm grown.

  215. I'm too old for kids Church. I'm thirteen years old. So this

  216. is who you need to see in your mind as I tell the story.

  217. I walk on the football fields. True story. Walk on the football field,

  218. and I didn't know that everybody's going to be twice my size. I

  219. had no idea. How was I supposed to know. I thought I was

  220. a normal size. Said, I walked on the football field. Everybody massive.

  221. This is in Georgia. Georgia is all about Georgia. Texas is all

  222. about football. They make them different in Georgia. And these boys are grown,

  223. meant full beers at eleven, they've grown. They make them different than

  224. Georgia. I get out there, big boys out there, and so I

  225. said, you know what, I'm gonna do my best. The coach give

  226. me a football. I guess you thought I look fast, he said,

  227. hey, Ron, score touchdown first. Literally, this is the true story.

  228. I get a football, I start running. I turn around and I

  229. see these big monsters coming behind me. True story. I threw the football

  230. up in the air. I said, it's not worth it, y'all take

  231. it. I gotta get out of here. And the coats hated me from

  232. that day forward. He had this aught against me. And this is one

  233. practice. Let's take them, let's take him a Listen to the football field.

  234. I want to show y'all this is a football field that was just one

  235. practice, because you got to see it. This is one practice. And

  236. the coach said, I don't know what I did to irritate him so much,

  237. but he said, everybody else can go. Travis, you stay and

  238. just run around the trap till I say stop. It's a one hundred and

  239. fifty eight degrees in Georgia running around the track. See something you need to

  240. know about me and that I grew up in a single parent household. So

  241. my mom, you know, she raises by herself. My dad died when

  242. I was five. He was twenty eight, and so I'm sporied, the

  243. only boy in the house. So my mama came. He pulled up to

  244. pick me up, and I said, oh snap, it's all now here

  245. comes with Dea. It's about to go down. Mama pulled up, and

  246. so I said, you know what I need to put on. I need

  247. to let mama know I'm about to die. I ain't got asthma, but

  248. I act like I did my Tash, my Tess. Mama, Why is

  249. this man doing this to me? My mom pulled up. She had no

  250. pity on her face at all. My mama looked at me. I'll never

  251. forget this. This scarred me. Ma. Mama looked at me. She

  252. said, boy, your mama didn't raise no quitter. Keep running, you

  253. gonna be okay. And I came to Tosa, Oklahoma to let somebody know

  254. God didn't raise no quitter. Keep running, you gonna be okay. Yo.

  255. We've been maying do it for tonight. But keep running. You gonna

  256. be okay. People may leave you and talk about you, but keep running.

  257. You gonna be okay. You may feel it in your chests up,

  258. but hold yourself thing out there and keep running. You gonna be on.

  259. This ain't your first time being broken, This ain't your first time being shaken.

  260. This ain't your first time being alone. Keep running you gonna be okay.

  261. Hold on, that's another chapter, but you gotta stay in the race.

  262. And the enemy he wants you to back down. They wants you to

  263. quit, and he don't want you to know how much help you got,

  264. so he'll always highlight, hear me, who's against you. He'll always highlight

  265. what's against you. But if you got God, you got the majority for

  266. If God is for us, then who can be against us? And I

  267. love this story and I chose first Samuel thirty on purpose because this whole story

  268. is about the devil trying to get David to quit, and David had a

  269. reason to want to quit. He gets to zick Lag, He gets all

  270. the way to this place called zick Lag, and it's a gift given.

  271. Come on, can you see it? Can you see zick Lad? Come

  272. on, see zick Lad. It's a gift. What's this? What's this?

  273. I'm gonna help you see zick Lad. Boy, I got some annointed

  274. Mama, be you prayed that thing on me today. I never do this

  275. that for a city. I got all kind of stuff here. Zig Lad

  276. means a lot to David, as it should because it's a gift. It's

  277. given to him by a Philistar king, and it's given a David because he's

  278. on the run for over ten years, running from King Sauw and against zig

  279. Lag and zick Lag is a place of stability. It's where he sets up

  280. his military operations. The Bible says he's there for a year and four months.

  281. It's a place of stability. Now, this word stability doesn't mean the

  282. same thing to everybody. If you've all always have more bank than bills,

  283. you don't really understand the word stability. If the place you always stood looks

  284. like the prophecy you've received, If every relationship you've been in gave you a

  285. return of your investment, stability ain't a big deal to you. But if

  286. you've been through some seasons in your life, well the only source of dependability

  287. you had was the God you served, then you know that stability is a

  288. big deal. And to David's stability with everything finally just a magic. Finally

  289. he has a place to lay his head and not look over his shoulders.

  290. And it's such a big deal because he's been on the run from King Saul,

  291. and finally he's protected by who used to be the enemy, protected by

  292. the Philicizer, and finally he grated, he can raise his family and he

  293. has stability. But why is it somebody helped me. Why is it that

  294. God does not seem as concerned about our stability as we do. I was

  295. praying about this last night, and I said, God, it seemed like

  296. stability ain't that big of a deal to you, Because when I think about

  297. you on the boat taking a nap, doing a tsunami on a boat,

  298. some of y'all can't even take a nap when it's just raining outside and you

  299. inside. I'm aa tossa. Y'all got all kind of little storms and stuff

  300. out here. He on a boat, sleep on a storm. He can't

  301. care less about stability. His mama is forty two weeks printing. It is

  302. that how long y'all be printant? Jesus was overdue. You need to study

  303. your theology walking forty two weeks retnant and has no place to get you.

  304. Talk about instability, Abraham, go to a ladd. I'll show you mean

  305. leave everything instability. Eli shall burn up your backup play and follow this crazy

  306. man that just threw his mentle on you and do what go well, I'll

  307. show you, Abraham, I ain't done with you. Take your son up

  308. to the mountain and kill him. This sounds a bit unstable. God,

  309. why is it? And I just ain't no WRM preaching too? Why is

  310. it? As soon as you get stable, as soon as you find your

  311. footing? Now, God, I none followed you all the way out here

  312. to Tusa. I ain't got no family, Jay, don't answer the phone.

  313. I ain't got nobody to go to Crave and get cookies with me.

  314. And as soon as I feel like I'm finding my footing, here comes God

  315. allowing the devil to mess with me. Are you ready? Here's what I

  316. found out about the devil. He's powerful. You need to know that.

  317. Some people be like deVie, ain't got no power. Well, you go

  318. to the other side and play around if you want to. There's some spooky

  319. stuff over there. He's powerful, but he has limited power. And what

  320. I read about in Job is that before the devil can mess with God's anointed

  321. he liked me in that picture, he gotta get a permission slip signed.

  322. So the only reason the devil has been able to even mess with you,

  323. mess with your health, mess with your money, mess with your marriage,

  324. is because somewhere along the line, wait a minute, God gave him permission.

  325. Can we go deeper? What really messed me up? Though it is

  326. not just the fact that God gave him permission, but God brought Joe name

  327. up, or it just got tight this whole section right here, just booty

  328. cheese. Just I feel the tightness right here. It would be one thing

  329. if the devil came and said, hey, I got an idea, let

  330. me get Joe. That isn't what happened. The devil came for a check

  331. in. God said, what you've been up to? You know, man,

  332. you know, just trying to mess up folks doing what I do.

  333. God said, cool, cool, cool. Have you considered my servant Joe?

  334. Have you considered my servant Briing Aaron? Have you considered my servant Transformation

  335. Church? Have you considered can I can I bring to your consideration? Can

  336. I nominate for affliction? Somebody? See all we like to do is brag

  337. on the awards, but nobody brag about the attack. Nobody want to be

  338. trust You gotta be trusted with affliction. You gotta be trusted with pain.

  339. You gotta be trusted with trials. You gotta be trusted with this level.

  340. Have you considered Joe? Have you considered David? Have you considered Big lad?

  341. See this brings a whole new meaning to the text. Poor David,

  342. David never asked for nothing this day. You know, David was minding his

  343. own business at his daddy's house, content and stable with she and here come

  344. this prophet. Poor all all, I'm getting them all olive. That's David.

  345. He's in his father's field. God, I don't want to get stuck

  346. right here. He's in his father's field, shepherd and sheep and mastering the

  347. heart. He's mastering his instrument and mastering his weapon. And he masters the

  348. sling not because he's practicing for Goliath, but because he's stewarding his current assignment.

  349. And his stewardship gives him a harvest called preparation. Did you hear what

  350. I just said? And next thing, you know, he steps into his

  351. future prepared for it because he was practicing presence in the dark. Let me

  352. talk to the people who are in love with the bright lights. If you

  353. don't practice presence in the dark, bright lights were only exposed. Was not

  354. there? And so God was teaching David how to practice presence in the dark.

  355. He was becoming a warrior of worship and a worshiper of war. He's

  356. watching sheep he's playing the harp, and he is entertaining and hosting the presence

  357. of God. And while he's hosting God, his father overlooks him, but

  358. God has his eye on him. Now, I have always read this the

  359. wrong way because I thought David's father couldn't see him, because maybe he was

  360. just rejecting them. And God reminded me that man's rejection is God's protection.

  361. What if, hold on, what if God did not want Jesse to see

  362. David. What if God wanted to keep David in the field and untain it

  363. by the culture in Jesse's house. Come on, let's deal with father wounds.

  364. What if God wanted you to have his DNA but not his dysfunction.

  365. So there are times when God and his grace and his goodness will keep you

  366. all to himself in order to cultivate something on the inside of you that's not

  367. taint it. Come on here and order the steward and harvest something on the

  368. inside of you. Watch me so that when you come forth, only he

  369. can get the credit. And I came to look for twenty five people who

  370. know that the reason you're standing on solid ground today is because God kept you

  371. to himself. My God, he's a keeper, even when you don't want

  372. to get kept, when you're trying to run shortly, Goodness and mercy will

  373. follow me all the days of mine. I've just got. God kept me

  374. to himself. And now David goes from Jesse's house to Saul's house, and

  375. ladies and gentlemen, you gotta be careful who receives the rejected version of you.

  376. He did treat me differently. There are people who can only tolerate the

  377. version of you they can manage, and they can only manage the version of

  378. you that's found in this chapter. They're not even grace for your next chapter.

  379. And so now he's in this toxic relationship covenant with a madman who only

  380. likes him when he does stuff for him. But as soon as David starts

  381. getting elevated and evolution, the real Saul starts emerging. Jealousy was always there,

  382. he just didn't have anything to be jealous about. And now that David

  383. enters his next chapter, Saul can't take it. And Shaul said, I

  384. gotta kill this man. So now here's David. He's on the run tour

  385. before jay Z and Beyonce. David takest the on the Run tour. He's

  386. on the run, but he's trusted to be on the run. Can God

  387. trust you on the track called trial? Can God trust you? Here?

  388. We go to maintain your worship on the run. And David is on the

  389. run. And the Bible says, I talked about this last time I was

  390. here. That the Bible says. He ends up at the philliside. Happen

  391. and notice who he is. And so he starts acting crazy, throw me

  392. at the mouth, clawing at the gate. And it's in this time that

  393. he pitans Psalm thirty four. I will bless the Lord at all times.

  394. His praise will continually be in my mouth. My soul makes his boasting the

  395. Lord, the humble share here, Oh and be glad, Oh, magnify

  396. the Lord with me, let us as at his name. Together he does

  397. all this, hear me and become friends eventually with the king, whose name

  398. happens to be King of Kish. Are you ready for this? And King

  399. of Kish gives David zig lag. Don't just just love the Bible. You

  400. can't just read the Bible. You gotta read the Bible. And now here's

  401. the king. He gives David this lad called zig Lag and zig laggings everything

  402. to do. And now David shows up and the place that was once stable

  403. for him is being burned to the ground. Can you see it? Ziglag

  404. on fire, being burnt to the ground. Look at that? Can you

  405. see it? Imagine? Imagine your home being on fire. Truth is,

  406. some of y'all are at church today because your house is on fire. There's

  407. people walking online today because your house is on fire. And his home is

  408. on fire. And he sees his kids toys, and he sees his wife

  409. favorite bracelet, and not only is his house on fire, but now he

  410. has six hundred loyal men who turn on him, ready to kill him.

  411. But David teach us a lesson than when people turn on you, you better

  412. turn to God. And this is my favorite part of the text. And

  413. I'm so glad we're here now because this is my favorite part of the text.

  414. My favorite part of the text is that the Bible says that David encouraged

  415. himself in. I love that he encouraged himself. Have you ever been in

  416. a season where you had to learn how to encourage yourself in? So he

  417. encouraged himself in the Lord. What does this mean? This means that he

  418. waited on the Lord. And when you wait on the Lord, you're not

  419. waiting and looking at a watch. You're waiting like your waitress or waitur,

  420. and you're serving the Lord. You're worshiping the Lord. You're hosting the Lord.

  421. Isn't it amazing how David houses on fire? It's something his instinct kick

  422. in and he says, this ain't my first time being on the outside.

  423. And he goes back to his default, and the field worshiper, who became

  424. the feudital worshiper, is now the fire worshipper. And he stands there and

  425. say, one thing I do know how to do is host his presence.

  426. I do know how to worship him. I do know how to wait on

  427. him. And I love this about the Bible, because the Bible says that

  428. there's benefits to waiting. You can start waiting week, but you won't remain

  429. weak, for they that wait on the Lord shall renew they're stripped. Something

  430. happened today when I was being roads and the worship team and Christian were seeing,

  431. you found yourself getting a little stronger because they that wait on the Lord,

  432. she'll renew that thrift. They shall melt up. Oh waiting to ide

  433. equals. They shall run here we go and not getn't wear ready, Mama,

  434. I don't think I'm gonna make it. You gonna be okay, keep

  435. running. I didn't rait no quitter. You shall run and not be weary.

  436. You shall walk in and not faith Are any waiters in the room.

  437. I promise you, if you lift your hands and you lift your boy,

  438. sir, your fairite will find encouragement. Your soul will fight encouragement. Wait

  439. on the Lord, come on, grab your Dahvid, tell him. Help

  440. me wait, sir, help me wait, sir, help me wait,

  441. sir. While I'm waiting, he's working it hold on, hold on while

  442. I'm waiting. He's working. While I'm waiting. He's working. When I

  443. worship, I need you to hear me, ladies and gentlemen, this is

  444. not just exercise. I was thinking about Batman, and whenever Gotham is in

  445. trouble, the commissioner goes and put up the back signal. And if a

  446. fictional character conrrespond to a bat symbol, how much more will the armies of

  447. heaven respond to my worship? I need one hundred people in this room and

  448. watch it online. That would take twenty seconds to wait on the Lord.

  449. When I lift my hands, I'm sitting in a signal. When I clap

  450. my hands, I'm sitting in a signal. When I leave for joy,

  451. sitting in the signal, I'm saying, God, fight for me. The

  452. battle is in yourself. It belongs to the Lord. And he encouraged himself

  453. in the Lord. He encouraged himself in the Lord. But that's not all.

  454. The Bible says. Not only did he encourage himself, Mama, but

  455. he inquired of the Lord. Now I don't like this. I don't like

  456. this. Why did you inquire of the Lord? You had every right to

  457. go and get your family. You are a skilled warrior. They got your

  458. family. Though. I don't know how to shoot a gun, but i'll

  459. try. I got some and I'll practice my family. David says, I

  460. have a reason, but that does not mean I have permission, which teaches

  461. me something. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you're called to do

  462. it in this season, he says, Lord, shall I pursue? Are

  463. you with me in this? This is your If this is your will?

  464. Said me. If not, I'll say, And God said, go you

  465. will recover. Oh, something else happens. The Bible says, the six

  466. hundred men, two hundred drops out, two hundred men. That's a third

  467. of the army. Now a third of my army. Leave me. God,

  468. we need to talk again. Now I heard what you had said last

  469. time. But David never praise again. David never praise again about the situation

  470. because he understands somebody needs to hear this. That God meant what he said

  471. the first time. Because God is not just Alpha, he's Omega. So

  472. he knew your future limitations before he gave you a word. He said,

  473. I knew who would leave when I told you to go. I knew who

  474. would say no when I gave you a yes, sir, And I haven't

  475. changed my mind. Even with less help, you'll still recover. All did

  476. you hear what I just said? And some of our problem is we got

  477. too much help. And so they go. The Bible says, let's verse

  478. Mama's done. They run into an Egyptian. I believe it's in verse ten.

  479. They run into an Egyptian, and this Egyptian is dying. They run

  480. it to the Egyptian and David's like David Man's like who you with? You

  481. crip you blood? Who you with? He said? Dog? You know

  482. what I mean? He's dying because he hadn't eaten for three days, hadn't

  483. drunk any water, and he's dying. And he tells David men, he

  484. said, hey, I was with the raiding party. He said, y'all

  485. a slave. I was with the raiding party that just burned out zig Lad.

  486. He don't even know who he talking to. He said, we just

  487. burned down, zick Lad. Dog And uh, you know, I mean

  488. you got some bread or anything? And David says, this, look at

  489. this wisdom. He says, hey, can you show me what is army

  490. that? The Egyptian said? He said, I got wisdom two dogs,

  491. he said, under two conditions. One you won't kill me, and two

  492. hear this words, you will not give me back to the master that left

  493. me. He said, because I was sick and they left me to die.

  494. I was good enough to help them as long as my issue was covered,

  495. But as soon as my weakness was its foes that left me to die.

  496. He said. Not only do I not want you to kill me,

  497. but I don't want you to give me back to hands that mismanaged me.

  498. And if this Egyptian caprice today, He say, hold on, that's another

  499. I know that, I know that Egyptian is glad. He held on pulling

  500. that chapter. But that's one more thing I gotta tell you. And this

  501. is crazy. Do you know why's it Glad burned down? That's certain things

  502. in the Bible that frustrate me. That Glad burning down frustrated me because David

  503. didn't ask for nothing. And when you don't come from nothing, man,

  504. you're just glad to have anything to call yours. Come on, man,

  505. when you come from abuse, you just glad that somebody smiling at you.

  506. You don't care if they got out of teeth. You just glad somebody cares.

  507. And God allowed the devil to burn down zick Lad. And God allowed

  508. the devil to burn down zick Lad. I asked the book questions. I

  509. said, God, why you let the devil burn down nick Lad? He

  510. said, hold on, there's another chapter. In the next chapter, King

  511. Saul dies. The only reason David was in zick Lad for sixteen months is

  512. because he was on the run from King Saul. The reason zick Lad could

  513. burn is because his running days were over. And you've been crying about what

  514. God burned down, But you didn't know. God was trying to get you

  515. to your next chapter to do hear what I just said. There was something

  516. he's up to a background and if you just hold on, I can't even

  517. tell you say that's so in tears. Should retain sure you're running days all

  518. over? King Saw, it is the King Saul. It's that there's no

  519. more running. And here's why zig Lack had to burn. Are you ready?

  520. Zig Lack had to burn because sometimes the enjoyment of your comfort is the

  521. enemy to your calling. What you call stability. God caused being stuck,

  522. and you said, God, I just got stable. I just got comfortable.

  523. God said, yep. So in order to get you out of this

  524. season, I'm gonna burn down what you think you need. But you don't

  525. even need anymore because it was always temporary. He wasn't annointed to be the

  526. king of Zigeland. He was anointed to be the King of Israel. Quit

  527. dumbing. Now you're anointing for what you think you can't handle. God said,

  528. you forgot my promise, David, but I didn't. So Sometimes burned

  529. down stuff in this chapter in order for you to be pushed out of it

  530. and promoted into your next chapter. Last thought, and I'm gonna pray for

  531. you. We'll just staying with me. Oh, asking God. I was

  532. asking God. I said, Yo, this idea about being promoted, Charles,

  533. will you have me real quick? I want to show them something,

  534. this idea about being promoted. Many times when we think being promoted, do

  535. you see what he just did? He came up, he got elevated,

  536. and so we're like, God, give me a promotion, promote me,

  537. Lord, take me up. But that's not the only definition of being promoted.

  538. To be promoted, it's not only to be elevated. Hear me,

  539. to be promoted means to be advertised. That's how promoters define being promoted.

  540. They said, I'm going to market this. So when God promotes you,

  541. he's not just calling you up. I need someone to hear this in the

  542. spirit, he's pushing you out job, he's nominating you. He's advertising you

  543. so that your resilience, in your endurance is bragging rights for him. Because

  544. the devil is not omniscient enough to see the next chapter. So every time

  545. the devil thinks he's winning, God turns the page and I came to Toso,

  546. Oklahoma, to witness as somebody and tell you God is about the turn

  547. the page. You be crying, But God about the turn the page.

  548. They left you and you thought your life was over. But God about the

  549. turn the pager. Through the divorce. God is about to turn the page.

  550. I need somebody who's running for your next chapter to lift your hands.

  551. Hey, give them a shout. Let you know you got a reason to

  552. hold on. You got a reason to hold on. You got a reason

  553. to hold on. You got a reason to hold on. There is another

  554. chapter. There is another chapter. There is life after this. There's life

  555. after there's life. I'm not telling you you're not gonna cry, not promising

  556. you that we've been mayion to do it for a night. I will tell

  557. you that if you hold on, and if you wait on the Lord,

  558. he'll give you joy that you can't explain. He'll give you peace. That's

  559. your past, your understanding, and you won't have to wait till the mountain

  560. to find it. But you can find joy in the valley. You can

  561. find encouragement in the valley. You can find strips in the valley. You

  562. can find hope in the valley. There's two groups of people. I want

  563. to pray for first, group of those who are far from them. You're

  564. in this room, or you're watching online, and you want to give up.

  565. Something calls you to stop on this YouTube page, or on this podcast,

  566. on this Facebook or something calls you to stop. Today they come to

  567. Transformation Church, you want to give up. I want to pray for you

  568. first, to find the Savior who's here for you and loves you madly.

  569. He's not mad at you, He's madly in love with you. Every eye

  570. close because it's just you and God. And I want you to see him

  571. picking you up like a child who's helpless. And if you won't reject a

  572. baby, how much more or your father in heaven not reject you. I'm

  573. counting to three. Hands are gonna go up in this room and around the

  574. world saying I need this Savior. I want to give him my heart.

  575. I want a fresh start. Hey, this maybe the first time or the

  576. first time in a long time. It's a moment's sure day, a brand

  577. new birthday, and we're gonna celebrate what God has done in your heart.

  578. One I need a savior. Two I'm done with my ways. Three come

  579. into my heart. Come on, lift that hand high. I want to

  580. be saved the first time, first time in a long time. The hands

  581. up everywhere, Come on, their hands up everywhere. I see you,

  582. I see you. Come on, keep that hand lifted for a moment.

  583. There's no reason to be ashamed. We've all been here and we're not looking

  584. on you with judgment. We're looking on you with joy. We're so proud

  585. of you. Heaven is proud of you. Come on. I see teenagers,

  586. and I see fathers, and I see mothers, so beautiful. If

  587. there's a handing up around you, we do this at Forest City in South

  588. Carolina. But if there's a hand up around you, if you put a

  589. hand on your on their shoulder, just a side of letting them know they're

  590. not alone, We're gonna pray together. Thank you, Lord. Come on

  591. repeat that to me, Lord Jesus. I give you my heart, I

  592. give you my mind, I give you my soul. All that I am

  593. belongs to you completely. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins,

  594. and thank you for getting up so I don't have to stay down.

  595. My life belongs to you completely. In Jesus' name, Hey man, come

  596. on, would you rejoice in the Lord. Hey, there's a number and

  597. information we're going to put on the screen. If you prayed that prayer online

  598. or in this building the first time, please please text safe to eight to

  599. eight two eight two. Tech saved that that number and we'll be in touch

  600. with you. We're so proud of you. Join up Bible Teaching Church if

  601. you haven't yet, We'd love to have you be apart Transformation or Transformation Nation

  602. to help your life continue to move forward. If you need to leave,

  603. you can. But there's one more group that I want to pray for in

  604. the building, and those are people who came to church today. You didn't

  605. just come out of routine. You came out of desperation and you actually really

  606. feel like giving up. You feel like giving up, and you're like,

  607. man, what's the use, what's the use of trying? What's the use

  608. of staying? And you feel like you're at your end? When sometimes David

  609. Got'll let you get to your end to find the beginning of Him and maybe

  610. you're at your end so that he could turn the page to give you a

  611. new beginning. But I want to pray with you and believe with God for

  612. you. If you're in this room and you were even thinking about giving up,

  613. and I'm talking about thoughts of suicide are sometimes just giving up on a

  614. call or giving up on a promise from God. If you'll stay alive,

  615. but you just won't trust or believe or have faith anymore in the impossible things

  616. of God. I want to pray for you in this room and all life.

  617. If that's you and you've been battling thoughts of giving up, would you

  618. lift your hands where you are? Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord,

  619. Thank you Lord. If you desire to come forth, we have people up

  620. here to pray with you as well. You could come up or you can

  621. stay you see either one. But if you want to come forward, just

  622. as a sign of moving out of this stuck place, out of this dry

  623. place, we love to touch and agree with you. Here, Lord,

  624. we give you praise. Come on, Lord, we give you praise.

  625. And I'm just gonna announce over you. You're this is not your end.

  626. Come on, come on, this is not your end. It's not your

  627. end. Your goodness is running after, running after me. It's not your

  628. end. Your goodness is running after it's running out with my life, with

  629. my life. Lady, your goodness is running aft running. Can we send

  630. that again, your goodness, your good be not weary. You're gonna make

  631. it. I know it's hard, but you're gonna make it. I know

  632. it hurts, but you're gonna make it. Hold on, hold on,

  633. Yes, Lord, this is right, it's right. Can you tell them

  634. all my life, because all my life you have been faith Yes, Lord,

  635. oh my life. If you have been so you were faithful, then

  636. you'll be faithful. Now, Yes, Lord, I will see good.

  637. Come on, lift those hands. Hold on, it's another chapter. Hold

  638. on, there's another chapter. I'm so glad. After my dad died in

  639. nineteen eighty nine and my mom and my dad were still in their twenties,

  640. and my mom was left with three kids, and it was super unstable.

  641. I'm so glad she held on. The only reason I'm here right now is

  642. because my mother held on and believed God for another chapter. And she cried.

  643. I'm telling you, she cried hard. Those are some dark nights,

  644. but she held on for the next chapter. And I'm not telling you you

  645. don't have a reason to cry. I'm not telling you you don't have a

  646. reason to be afraid. But i am telling you that God is a sustainer

  647. and he will keep you when you cannot keep your self. Hold on,

  648. hold on, there's another chapter. Thank you, Lord, Come on,

  649. lift those hands for a moment. I'm gonna pray for you. God.

  650. I thank you for families that needs you. I thank you for single mothers

  651. that need you, and single fathers and students and married couples who feel like

  652. they're at their end. I thank you for those in this room who are

  653. sick and they need a divine healer. I thank you for those watching or

  654. in this room who've been overwhelmed by depression and anxiety. I thank you that,

  655. you, oh Lord, are lifter of our hats. You are a

  656. glory. You are stripped, you're chilled. Your name in the strong tower.

  657. We could run it and find safety. I thank you, but you

  658. God enough to take what the enemy meant for evil and turning around in our

  659. favor. We won't give up, We won't bow out them, we won't

  660. quit. I freak of fresh wind into your children today, for your Bible

  661. said that they don't wait on the Lord. We'll get new shrimp and they're

  662. mat up on the wing and eagles. They're runner not be weary. They're

  663. walking and that faith. That's what happens them when we wait. And so

  664. right now we lift our hands and holy expectation, knowing that you're got enough

  665. for to fill us again. You're got enough to change us again. You're

  666. got enough, and you're still in control. So we give you praise in

  667. your temper. We shout with the voice of triumph, knowing that he who

  668. had begotten a good worker, it's faithful to perform it unto the day of
