  1. Welcome to Transformation Church Podcast, where we represent God to

  2. the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so

  3. glad you're here and wherever you're listening from, we believe

  4. God will transform your life. Do today's message.

  5. So I want to give you kind of an overview.

  6. The last couple We've been in this series for five

  7. weeks now, we're gonna be finishing it today. And if

  8. you missed any or you didn't take notes, or you

  9. fell asleep at some point, it's okay, not personally offended,

  10. but just hope God isn't.

  11. But I'm joking.

  12. I want to give you a review of what we

  13. went over the last couple of weeks. So Chapter one

  14. we talked about God chose me, somebody shall God chose me?

  15. We talked about being chosen by God. Chapter two we

  16. talked about and I kind of wrote these out as statements.

  17. We talked about there's always gonna be space at my table,

  18. that we're gonna make room for people. We're always going

  19. to make sure there's space for people who are different

  20. than us. Chapter two is about a beef between Paul

  21. and Peter, and Paul calls him out.

  22. It literally says.

  23. He's like I called him out to his face. It's

  24. just wild. That's how you know Paul was wild. If

  25. you feel like you're wild, it's okay. A guy who

  26. wrote the whole half of the New Testament, over half

  27. of the New Testament, was also crazy. So chapter three,

  28. Pastor Joel tb but anybody enjoy his sermon?

  29. And Pastor Joel was here.

  30. He talks about us having an unstoppable promise. Literally in

  31. Galatians three, it says that there was a promise given

  32. over four hundred and thirty years ago and nothing could

  33. stop it. You have an unstoppable promise. Chapter four, Pastor Roosevelt,

  34. can you give it up for Pastor Roosevelt?

  35. Just an apps.

  36. I literally was sitting over there and I was watching

  37. and just praying and thinking, and I just thought, like,

  38. there is nobody like Roosevelt, Like nobody could I really

  39. mean that? Like he has been such a gift to

  40. our church from the second he got here.

  41. So for a moment, if you're.

  42. Grateful for our worship, Pastor Pastor Roosevelt, can you make

  43. some noise?

  44. Come on y'all like.

  45. Happy y'all came back because he was here.

  46. Don't play nobody and then.

  47. Last week we talked about being the better me. I

  48. can be the better me. So we're gonna move right along.

  49. We're gonna read five verses in Galatians. I said that,

  50. but y'all kind of played me on the reading the

  51. whole chapter of the Bible.

  52. So I will never get played twice. You know, that's

  53. my rule.

  54. So we're gonna read Galations six one through five, Galatians

  55. six one through five. I'm not scar everybody to stand

  56. up on your feet.

  57. Please stand up on your feet.

  58. This the last week last week, we're gonna stand up

  59. on our feet.

  60. For the reading of the Word of God. All right,

  61. we're gonna read it now. I don't now.

  62. It gets a little confusing when we all start reading

  63. together because our paces are all different. So I might just.

  64. Read it to you.

  65. But the standing is just like, we're unified. We honor

  66. God's word, and you can follow along in your Bible

  67. if you got a Bible. Hey, O, somebody, Okay, all right,

  68. we're gonna read it together. That's what it says. Dear

  69. brothers and sisters, if any believers overcome by sin, you

  70. who are godly, should gently Everybody say gently and humbly, everybody, say, humbly,

  71. help that person back on the right path, and be

  72. careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself, share

  73. each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law

  74. of Christ.

  75. If you think you're too important.

  76. To help somebody, oh my goodness, you are only fooling yourself.

  77. Let's say this line together right here. You are not

  78. that important. That's good, Bible. Pay careful attention to your

  79. own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of

  80. a job well done, and you won't need to compare

  81. yourself to anyone else. Now, let's read verse five altogether,

  82. real loud, say which and chest, for we are each

  83. responsible for our own conduct.

  84. Can you give God a shout of pray? It's just

  85. grateful for his word. You can grab a seat, all right.

  86. If you're taking notes, I need you to write this

  87. down at the top of your notes. The title of

  88. the last sermon in our series on chapter six of

  89. the Book of Galatians is what to do when You're empty?

  90. What to do when you are empty. I'm gonna pray,

  91. Lord Jesus, we love you, Lord, We're grateful. I thank

  92. you that you are the only one that can help us.

  93. You're the only one that can change your heart. You're

  94. the only one that can bring peace to all the

  95. things that are going on in our soul.

  96. So God, right now we.

  97. Pray that your word would do what it does and

  98. that has changed us. Encourage us, give us the strength

  99. to see a brighter tomorrow.

  100. So God, we thank you for it.

  101. Speak your children are listening. It's in the beautiful name

  102. of Jesus, we pray. And everybody said, Amen, Amen.

  103. I really love this chapter chapter six.

  104. And as a matter of fact, yesterday, I have traditional

  105. schedule of when I'm sermon prepping or when I'm preaching

  106. a sermon, and it's a couple of different days. The

  107. primary day it's been the same day since twenty seventeen

  108. when me and Pastor Michael started sermon prepping together is Wednesday.

  109. So Wednesday is sermon prep day. So we preach on Sunday.

  110. Usually Sunday. I get in the car from church, I

  111. log on, I get on Facebook. Is the only time

  112. I get on Facebook, or if my grandmother messages me.

  113. But I get on Facebook, I go to our Facebook

  114. page because it's the last.

  115. Stream that stays up the longest. You know, it stays

  116. up for a little bit long. Some of y'all know

  117. because y'all ripped our worship off. Okay, it's all.

  118. Right, it's waiting about the album anyways, said Joe.

  119. Calm down. Okay.

  120. But I go back on there and I watch back

  121. the whole.

  122. Sermon and I'm like, oh, that was good. That was

  123. wag boy. What were you wearing? And then like I

  124. watched the whole thing.

  125. And then immediately after I finished watching it, I'm usually

  126. thinking about next week's sermon. On Sunday night, I'm thinking

  127. about the next one. But Wednesday is sermon prep day.

  128. So I sat there Wednesday, stared at my computer for hours,

  129. and I had like six different sermons. Literally, I sent

  130. them to my friend. I was like, which one should

  131. I do? And this is my friend. You know those

  132. friends that won't give you a straight answer. It's really frustrating.

  133. They're like trying to encourage you and they're like, so.

  134. What do you think. It's like, well, you know, I

  135. love this one. I'm like, okay, cool, I'll do that one.

  136. They're like, but also, you know, it's like you just

  137. answered the question.

  138. So anyways, I learned from Pastor Michael not to force

  139. a sermon. And this is a beautiful message. If God

  140. has called you to do something, you ain't got to

  141. force it. I want to encourage you. If God has

  142. called you to do something, you ain't got to force it.

  143. It doesn't mean you don't have to fight for it.

  144. It just means you ain't got to force it.

  145. So if God wanted you in that job, this ain't

  146. even my sermon. If God wanted you in that job,

  147. you wouldn't be having to change who you are to

  148. act like you somebody else to get the promotion. If

  149. God has it for you, can't no person stop you. Okay,

  150. you don't have to force it. So I've learned this

  151. from Pastor Michael week after week writing sermons. There'll be

  152. times we sit there and we be talking and talking

  153. and praying and praying and listening to stuff and writing stuff,

  154. and he'd be like, all right, we ain't got it.

  155. And I'd be like, all right, so what are we doing?

  156. He's like, well, I'm going home. What you're doing? Like?

  157. And we just walk out and be like okay, And

  158. then we come back the next day.

  159. We work, work, work. I ain't got it, Okay, well,

  160. what we doing. I'm going home. I don't know what

  161. you're doing. And we'll do that all the time.

  162. And so I kept doing that, and so I have

  163. some random pictures and this is literally just a part

  164. of my intro and it's funny. And I want you

  165. to know this because sometimes I think when we think

  166. about the Word of God, we think revelation only happens

  167. in this super holy set apart sanctified moment. I want

  168. to show you where I got this sermon. This was

  169. yesterday at like three o'clock. If you can throw those

  170. photos on the screen for me, this was me sermon prepping. Okay,

  171. so I have half my chickens.

  172. In my lap.

  173. This right here is Sonny. Why is she in a

  174. cheetah tank top? We don't know. Goodness gracious Jade October.

  175. And then arloa drew an angel in the middle of

  176. my notebook. Sonny is playing We're not really strangers, apparently,

  177. I don't know what she's doing. And then over here

  178. we're listening to a commentary. And then this this is

  179. Arlow drawing. Guys, look at this photo. I'm sermon prepping

  180. Arlow Phoenix. I promise you he gave his life to

  181. Christ the first.

  182. Out of all my kids. He did. I look over.

  183. I said, buddy, what'd you draw?

  184. He goes, this is Jesus on the cross, and over

  185. here is someone who is crying and sad, but there's

  186. an angel on the left who's here to comfort them. Yes,

  187. it's like, thank you Jesus. Half of this is working.

  188. And then Luna walked up. She's like, what's your reading, Dad,

  189. And I was like, oh, Galatian six and she was like, oh,

  190. let me see, and so she grabbed it out of

  191. my Bible. So this is Galatian six right here. So

  192. I'm gonna tell im he's gonna be preaching from today somebody.

  193. I was like, oh, that is the Holy Word. Calm down.

  194. A four year old ripped out of my Bible. And

  195. it wasn't really her fault. It was all your front.

  196. But so these are my notes. Calm down, all right.

  197. I want to talk to you today about Galatian six.

  198. And the reason it's important that I have this page

  199. is one because it's really is my sermon notes and

  200. what we're talking about today. But if you study the scriptures,

  201. many theologians will tell you that when you first read

  202. Galatian six, it kind of seems random. Paul is kind

  203. of shotgunning all over the place talking about a bunch

  204. of different random stuff. He starts off with the idea

  205. that you should bear each other's burdens. He's talking to

  206. a church in Galatian. It's multiple church, and he saying, Hey,

  207. you need to bear each other's burdens, and if you

  208. think you're too special to do that, you're not that special, Like,

  209. don't think of yourself too highly. You should bear each

  210. other's burdens. And then he goes into this idea of comparison.

  211. He said, as a matter of fact, you should bear

  212. each other's burdens. But if you feel like you're too special,

  213. why don't you just mind your own business instead of

  214. comparing yourself with other pe and you can just focus.

  215. On that yourself. And it's like, oh, okay, cool Paul.

  216. And then he takes a random turn and he's like,

  217. but also, the people who are teaching the Bible are.

  218. Super important, and you're like, okay, Paul, that's cool.

  219. But also you should be sewing, don't give up, don't

  220. don't give up, and doing good for at.

  221. The proper time, you will reap a harvest if you

  222. don't lose heart.

  223. Like, okay, we got the bear of the burdens, where

  224. we should be giving people money who are preaching or

  225. something taking care of them.

  226. Okay, we're sewing and reaping.

  227. And then he literally goes into in verse twelve, he

  228. says this, in verse twelve, notice what large letters I

  229. use as I write these closing words in my own handwriting.

  230. So it's like Paul's just salty.

  231. Halfway through the letter, he's like, if you don't know

  232. many of these letters, he would have someone with him

  233. so he would be talking and he's like, hey, write

  234. this down. He grabbed a notepad out of their hand.

  235. He's like, give me the note right now, I got

  236. something to say. He grabs it.

  237. He starts scribbling real big, and then he goes on

  238. a rant about people who we talked about a lot

  239. this week. I mentioned it verse five. Really, this whole

  240. book is arguing this, there is a group of people

  241. who are trying to force people to be circumcised.

  242. Now that's a little weird.

  243. We got a couple questions while we're asking people to

  244. do that, but the main one was that was the

  245. old sign of the Covenant if you go back to

  246. the New Testament. This is God marks his covenant with

  247. a man, and he says, hey, this is how you

  248. are set apart.

  249. So that was a part of the Jewish tradition.

  250. The only thing is Jesus comes along says, hey, I

  251. am the fulfillment of all that. You don't need to

  252. do outward stuff to prove you're with me. That's not

  253. how you prove. So just coming to church doesn't prove

  254. you're a Christian.

  255. Reading your Bible.

  256. Doesn't prove your christ Those are the fruits of your life,

  257. but it's not the proof of your life. The real

  258. thing is have you given your full trust and have

  259. you surrendered your life to Jesus? And if you trust

  260. in him, that is how you're a mate holy. If

  261. you trust in him, that is how you are sanctified.

  262. If you trust in him, it's not about works, it's

  263. not about dues and don't And so Paul is mad

  264. at these people. The truth is the context of the

  265. story back in Acts thirteen is these people were walking

  266. around talking trash about Paul, like, hey, Paul is preaching

  267. this whole weird thing that you don't have to do

  268. all the rules. We've been following you can just believe

  269. in Jesus that's not right. So Paul gets mad at

  270. him and he ends it yelling at them about what

  271. they should or shouldn't be boastinging. The reason this is

  272. important that to kind of see all the differences in

  273. the story is because I was reading a commentary why

  274. my daughter was screaming in my left ear. I had

  275. another AirPod on listening on this side. And many theologians

  276. will tell us that it makes sense of the entire

  277. chapter if you read the last verse of verse five.

  278. They said when they were going through and this was

  279. now I want to you may know this, but this

  280. is a letter.

  281. So this wasn't written like they weren't reading it like okay,

  282. verse one, chapter one. They just read it as a letter.

  283. Later on it got split up so we could organize it,

  284. understand it, memorize it, all those things. So I want

  285. to read you from my one page by don't get offended.

  286. But it is the last verse of chapter five that

  287. many theologians say, Hey, if this was the first verse,

  288. it would make sense of the whole thing. This is

  289. what it says, let us not become conceited or provoking

  290. one another or being jealous of one another. Paul, he

  291. brings up this word conceited the original language, the framework

  292. of this word would have been an Old English word. Now,

  293. this is all from commentaries of Timothy Keller. So if

  294. y'all impressed by anything I'm saying right now, I stole

  295. it from Timothy Keller. So, but he says, the old

  296. English word would have been vain glorious.

  297. It's like a Shakespearean word.

  298. What it means is so empty of glory and value,

  299. and you are desperately searching for recognition and affirmation, completely

  300. void of any identity, awareness or.

  301. Encourage in your own soul.

  302. That you are desperately grasping and doing anything to figure

  303. out who you are, how you are, and what you

  304. should be doing. So, Paul says in Galatians five, which

  305. really sets up this whole idea, he says, Hey, some

  306. of you are so desperate for attention, so desperate for identity,

  307. so desperate to know who you are, that you have

  308. steeped down and now you're provoking people, You're envying people,

  309. and worse than all that, you're comparing yourself to other people. Today,

  310. I want to talk to about how empty we all

  311. feel sometimes and really the root of all of those issues.

  312. Paul is talking to this church and he says, hey,

  313. I don't want you to become this conceited word and

  314. that word. Sometimes we have an idea, but the real

  315. word is you're so empty. An emptiness that is insatiable,

  316. and emptiness that no matter how much money you get

  317. it doesn't matter. And emptiness that no matter how many

  318. followers you get, it doesn't matter. Emptiness that money can't

  319. fix that, sex can't fix that, influence can't fix that,

  320. a new job can't fix that, a new wife that,

  321. a new husband, nothing.

  322. Can fix it.

  323. He said, you're so empty, and it shows up in

  324. so many different ways. And what he's trying to outline

  325. in chapter six is a solution for the emptiness of

  326. the human soul. He's trying to tell you, hey, are

  327. you tired of being empty? Are you tired of searching

  328. and finding nothing? Are you tired of comparing yourself to others? Now?

  329. I want to talk about comparison for a second, because

  330. comparison is interesting because some of us were so empty.

  331. We're so unsure of who we are.

  332. The only way you figure out who you are is

  333. you start comparing.

  334. So you're a kid.

  335. You don't know what's good or what's bad.

  336. So what do you do? You look around to other people.

  337. Oh, they have a lot of attention. That must be good.

  338. They don't have friends, that must be bad. And we

  339. go throughout life comparing what a trying to do. We're

  340. trying to fill a void. Now I want to give

  341. you this, and this is just an acknowledgment, and I

  342. think something that's important for you to understand. The reason

  343. every human soul is so empty, The reason we are

  344. all so desperate for recognition and affirmation is because you

  345. were created to hear seven words from one person. The

  346. reason you need affirmation so bad, The reason you need

  347. recognition is because when you were knit together, that hole

  348. that feels like I need to be acknowledged was meant

  349. to be filled by these seven words.

  350. Well done, my good and faithful servant.

  351. That's why that hole on the inside of you is

  352. so big, because you were knit together in your mother's womb,

  353. created by God to hear. When you get to the

  354. end of your life, those pearly greats crack open and

  355. you walk before Ge, the King of Kings and Lord

  356. of lords.

  357. The reason you're searching.

  358. The reason you're so desperate for people to recognize your gift,

  359. the reason you keep posting about all this stuff, asking

  360. for people to see you, is because your soul knows

  361. God is supposed to look at me and say, well done,

  362. my good and faithful servants. Your spirit knows it.

  363. It knows that no.

  364. Enough of good jobs from anybody is gonna fix it,

  365. so it keeps searching. Your soul knows it wasn't meant

  366. to just hear you're pretty good at that. Your soul

  367. knows that there's not enough money for it. Your soul

  368. knows that there's not a big enough house you're Your

  369. soul knows you can keep having sex with people, keep

  370. acting like you don't care. But until you hear are

  371. well done, your soul will keep searching. Until you stand

  372. in the glory of our God, your soul will keep searching.

  373. You aren't made to make money. What kind of sense

  374. does that make? You think you're here to get a

  375. big house. You think you're here to get a bunch

  376. of degrees. You think you're here to just have kids.

  377. You think you're here just to go to church. A

  378. couple of times you were created You're not even from here,

  379. the Bible says. The Bible says, you're this, You're just

  380. passing through here. You want to know why you're empty

  381. because nothing on this earth was made for you. You

  382. weren't even this isn't even your house. It don't make

  383. That's why the furniture doesn't make sense. That's why the

  384. food has lost its taste. That's why there's nothing that

  385. can fill you on the inside. Is because you weren't

  386. created to be filled by a good job from a human.

  387. I hope your parents affirm you. I hope you have

  388. affirmation in your marriage. I hope your job recognizes you.

  389. But let me be very clear.

  390. If you don't understand that you're waiting on a good

  391. job from the King of kings and Lord of lords,

  392. you will waste your life.

  393. Waiting for a coworker to say, who I like your ouse.

  394. Spend all your time, wasteing away your God given energy

  395. and grace trying to.

  396. Get a good job. That would be like a drop

  397. of water in the.

  398. Ocean of the whole of your heart. No wonder, it

  399. don't work. No wonder if people have millions of dollars

  400. and still feel lonely, some of y'all like, I, man,

  401. if I just get this, if I just could get that.

  402. There's a quote by a famous actor. He says, I

  403. wish everybody could become rich and famous, so they realize

  404. it's not gonna fix nothing. Yeah, but if I just

  405. get my business together, if I just.

  406. No, no, no, it will not work.

  407. You will keep being empty because guess what, Once you

  408. get that promotion, there's another promotion, and they keep printing money,

  409. so you ain't never gonna have enough. It's still out there.

  410. You get more money, sobody.

  411. Else got more money than you.

  412. There's an insatiable desire because you were created to only

  413. hear one well done.

  414. That until you embrace.

  415. That there's only one well done that's going to fulfill

  416. my soul, you will stoop down to the cheapest way

  417. of figuring out who you are. Comparison. Write this down.

  418. Comparison is the cheapest way.

  419. I believe this. Comparison is the cheap way to.

  420. Find out who you are, where you are going, and

  421. what you should be doing. Comparison is the cheap way

  422. to figure out who you are and where you are

  423. going and what you are doing. Now, I'm not saying

  424. it's inherently bad. If I'm honest with you, I think comparison.

  425. Has gotten a bad rap. I have a whole argument

  426. that some comparai is good.

  427. Some of y'all's relationships would benefit from being compared to

  428. a healthy one.

  429. Oh shoot, you.

  430. Don't know nothing different than somebody who talk crazy to you.

  431. But it would be good for you to get around

  432. a healthy marriage who didn't always tear each other down.

  433. It would give you a new standard to aspire to.

  434. So I'm not gonna go down that train, because for

  435. the sake of today, we're gonna stay right here. But

  436. comparison is a cheap way to figure out who you are.

  437. It's a cheap way to figure out where you should

  438. be going, and it's a cheap way to figure out

  439. what you.

  440. Should be doing.

  441. And here's the thing, it will always leave you empty

  442. because no matter who you compare yourself to, they're not

  443. you and they don't have your call. Well, Paul makes

  444. this argument. He says, hey, you should bear each other's burdens.

  445. You should be in the fight with your friends. And

  446. if you think you're too important to do that, trust me,

  447. you're not that important.

  448. And then he goes into this focus.

  449. Talking about comparison, he said, you know what you should do.

  450. You should mind your own business.

  451. You don't want to help people mind your own business,

  452. because what you've done is you've used comparison as a

  453. way to gain value and figure out who you are.

  454. I want to give you an example. Real quick.

  455. Can those guys I talked to earlier come up here,

  456. real quick, come up here, real quick, y'all give it

  457. up for Macaiah, Will and Ty.

  458. Come on, come up here, come up here, come up here,

  459. come out here. All right.

  460. I know I had a concussion, but we about to race.

  461. Okay, I'm about to show y'all.

  462. I'm about to show y'all what's up.

  463. Don't play me. Junior Olympics out here, two thousand and eight.

  464. All right, here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna line up,

  465. We're gonna race.

  466. Yeah, you're the wrongest probat brother. We talked about this.

  467. Come on, okay, we planned it in the back. We

  468. already forgot. Okay, we're gonna race. But here's the thing.

  469. We only get five steps, so we're gonna see.

  470. Now.

  471. Don't play me because I know, uh mister daddy long

  472. lags over here, y'all think already gonna for that stride.

  473. All right, I'm gonna say, go, you get five steps.

  474. Whoever wins the race will get an unnamed amount of

  475. money through an unnamed donor.

  476. And by that, of course, I mean nothing.

  477. Okay, we're gonna count down who y'all think's gonna win.

  478. Just shout out who y'all think gonna Well, God, tie.

  479. That's so disrespectful. All right, I need y'all to countdown.

  480. We're gonna count down three, two one, y'all all the crowd,

  481. y'all gonna say three to one, go, I don't go.

  482. We're gonna race. I'm gonna beat them.

  483. I'm gonna win, and it's gonna work for the illustration. Okay,

  484. all right, I need y'all count down five steps. Don't

  485. play me? All right, here we go, count it down?

  486. All right?

  487. Who won the race?

  488. Who?

  489. Who won?

  490. You think?

  491. Tie? One?

  492. Look? You only that three people?

  493. Just in your one point? He said, who will you

  494. think will one?

  495. Okay, the last shall be first. That's good. That's good.

  496. You think we think Mi Kyle will okay? Oh the sides, Okay,

  497. let me preach for a second.

  498. The only way you know who won is if you

  499. know where the finish line is. This is why comparison

  500. robs you, because his finish line ain't my finish line.

  501. So it looked like I won, or you think hey one,

  502. or you think he The thing is, we all have

  503. different calls, and we all got somewhere different to go.

  504. So I'm not worried about your race. I'm not worried

  505. about your rask.

  506. God has set me to go this way. I ain't

  507. got time to compare to nobody else. Here's what many

  508. of us do. Y'all stay where you are. I'm running

  509. my race and I take my little one step and

  510. I'm thinking, ooh see, he done completely gone the wrong

  511. way and you don't even know where you're going, and

  512. you're going backwards looking.

  513. But who I feel good?

  514. What if your race is that way?

  515. Or what we'll do would be like, oh wait, where

  516. are y'all?

  517. Hold on?

  518. Who looked like they know where they're going? Let me

  519. hold on, Let.

  520. Me go over there, let me hold on, let me

  521. let me get up, let me go to a bunch

  522. of different college.

  523. Hold on, Maybe I'll go, Maybe.

  524. I'll get into ministry. Now I'm supposed to be a

  525. no Okay, I need to do a podcast. Hold on

  526. a second. Maybe I need to hold on a pot I.

  527. Need to open.

  528. And we spend life comparing to people who don't have

  529. your race, who don't have your call, who did not

  530. hear from God on your behalf run your race. God

  531. has set something in front of you, and it's worth running.

  532. And you will always feel empty watching everybody else run

  533. their race, getting your.

  534. Cue from which way they went.

  535. Well, maybe if I do if I do the podcast,

  536. then I use that as a launching pad to then

  537. launch my other LLC and then I do this and

  538. then or maybe if I come in humbly as a volunteer,

  539. and then I'll become an intern, and then I'll show

  540. up to the conference, and then I'll become Pastor Michael,

  541. and then or maybe if I let me just burst

  542. your bubble, you ain't gonna do half the stuff Pastor

  543. Michael has done. That man has got a unique annointing

  544. on his life.

  545. And guess what you ain't called to do it?

  546. And guess what he ain't gonna do half the stuff

  547. you called to do. We see people that we deem

  548. are successful and think that's what I'm supposed to do

  549. now Here's literally Ty gave me this point.

  550. I was. I was in the back and I was like, Yo,

  551. I need some help with this. So I texted him.

  552. I was like, Yo, come here, and he said this.

  553. This is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

  554. So twenty points for tie on this great point.

  555. You can compare hustle, but you can't compare harvest.

  556. Yeah, ties a dog don't play my man's ties a dog.

  557. You can compare hustle.

  558. So you can look at another marriage and think, Man,

  559. they're going to counseling their they've prioritized date night, they're

  560. patient with each other.

  561. I could aspire to do that.

  562. But guess what in my own marriage, I can compare

  563. the hustle and the hard work and the dedication. But

  564. I'm not going to compare harvest because I'm not over that.

  565. I don't control that. I can look and be inspired

  566. from you. I can look and see, man, you're walking

  567. towards God in a way that is beautiful. But what

  568. I should do is I look at that, I come

  569. back to my own life and I say, God, what

  570. if you called me to do in my race? God?

  571. Who if you called me to be with my family?

  572. As long as you do not realize Whi's well done.

  573. You're waiting on.

  574. You will keep searching and keep comparing, running in circles

  575. when you are the only one graced for your race.

  576. Thank y'all so much. Can you give it up for

  577. my friends who helped me.

  578. Today? I want to give us three things.

  579. We're gonna be out of here.

  580. What time is it, y'all gonna turn the CD off

  581. on me?

  582. So if I go for two hours, it's not my fault.

  583. Uh okay, okay, back great, I got three hours perfect things.

  584. I'm joking. I'm joking.

  585. I want to give you three things. Is what to

  586. do when you're empty? If you feel like the emptiness.

  587. I've described, maybe it's a search for that.

  588. Recognition, for that acknowledgment, for just being seen. We all

  589. have different things that we feel like we need in

  590. this life. We all have different things that maybe is

  591. a marker of I won't feel empty when I get this.

  592. The ultimate truth is that you will always have something

  593. you're looking for until you find all of it.

  594. In Jesus, until you realize.

  595. Your confidence has to come from Jesus, your contentment has

  596. to come from Jesus. Today, I want to give you

  597. three things if you've ever felt empty before, or there's

  598. any area of your life, well right now, you feel empty,

  599. empty in a relationship, empty in purpose. Some of us

  600. because we have had struggles figuring out who we are.

  601. We haven't felt like our path was the most clear,

  602. or we didn't go the right way. All of our life,

  603. we've been comparing to so many people, and it's less

  604. us feeling empty, like I don't know who I am

  605. or what I'm supposed to do.

  606. Say, I want to.

  607. Give you three things if you've ever felt empty. The

  608. first one, would you write this down what to do

  609. when you're empty.

  610. The first one is serve. Everybody say serve. Come on, everybody,

  611. say serve.

  612. If you've ever felt empty, the first thing you can

  613. do is serve.

  614. I'm gonna read you this scripture again again. This is

  615. my Bible. My daughter did it. Don't blame me. You're

  616. brothers and sisters for any of you. If a believers.

  617. Overcome by sin, you who are godly, Now let me pause.

  618. That is not a measuring stick for you to think

  619. you're more godly than somebody else.

  620. Oh I'm godly and you're not godly anymore.

  621. The original language Another translation would say, you who have

  622. heard or can hear the Holy Spirit, guess what that's everybody,

  623. So don't be using yourself as like a oh, I

  624. can't know you who are God.

  625. This isn't a church thing.

  626. Let me say that this restoring people is not a

  627. church thing. It's a following Jesus thing. Churches don't restore people.

  628. People restore people. You're a person, You've got the Holy Spirit.

  629. Priests are out. We used to have to go through

  630. the priest. In the Old Testament. You didn't have a

  631. relationship with God for yourself.

  632. So you had to go to the priests.

  633. They would offer sacrifices that made you good.

  634. This is a new day.

  635. You have the spirit of the Living God on the

  636. inside of you.

  637. He can give you wisdom, he can talk to you.

  638. So everybody should be leading a tribe anyways.

  639. Share each other's burdens and in this way obey the

  640. law of Christ. If you're too important to help someone,

  641. you're only fooling yourself.

  642. You're not that important, you see, serving.

  643. Is always the solution to empty selfishness. You see, your

  644. life starts to become empty when it's just about you.

  645. I know, it doesn't feel that way because you feel

  646. like I gotta get all my stuff together and get

  647. a bunch of stuff for me, and then once I

  648. get that figured out, then I'll be able to help

  649. somebody else. Yes, yes, yes, the Bible does say love

  650. your neighbor as yourself, So you gotta understand who you

  651. are who you are before you can.

  652. Love anybody else properly. Absolutely.

  653. What I'm saying is if your life is only set

  654. up to benefit you, at some point, you're gonna realize

  655. that's empty. There's something that happens when you begin to

  656. serve others.

  657. Now, listen.

  658. Traditionally, when we say serve in church, everybody's like, Okay,

  659. here go. They're gonna ask me to get out there

  660. in the rain and.

  661. Hold a sign that says welcome. Maybe I might.

  662. There may be some people out there ready to help

  663. you do that today, but that's not my point, because

  664. we have locked in in pigeonholeds. Serving to something you

  665. do for a certain amount of hours at church. Oh,

  666. I serve people when I go to the homeless shelter,

  667. or I serve people when I'm on that Greeter's team,

  668. or I serve people.

  669. Yes, all those things are amazing.

  670. And if you're not serving and you thought about serving,

  671. you can do that this Sunday. Here's the point. Your

  672. life should be serving people. Every day of your life.

  673. When you wake up, it is thinking, oh do I

  674. feel empty?

  675. Oh?

  676. It's probably because I have started serving myself. I set

  677. everything up to be convenient for me.

  678. I've stopped serving my kids.

  679. Hey, can you come play with me?

  680. No, I got stuff to do.

  681. Stopping what you're doing and playing with your kid is

  682. a way of serving your child.

  683. All see that, I'm grown, I got stuff to do.

  684. I gotta work, I gotta pay the bills. Okay, pay

  685. all the bills. Not know your child, and then you're

  686. gonna be sitting at their wedding like a stranger. Come on, now,

  687. let's be honest. So I provide for you.

  688. I put food on table.

  689. What business I gotta no?

  690. No, no, no. They want you, not the money you make.

  691. I get it.

  692. There's pressure, there's responsibility. You're in situations that are tough.

  693. I get it. I can't begin to understand. But what

  694. I do want to acknowledge is there's an opportunity every

  695. day for you to serve somebody. Serving somebody by just

  696. encouraging them, serving somebody by saying, hey, is there anything

  697. you need?

  698. Anything I can do for you.

  699. When you set your life up and put yourself in

  700. positions to serve, it starts to bring value to your life.

  701. Serving people by taking the risk of inviting them to

  702. something that's changed your life.

  703. I was talking to somebody one time.

  704. This conversation has's happened a thousand times over. People are like, man,

  705. I just feel so I just feel socstatic and so

  706. dull in my relationship with Jesus. I feel like nothing's happening,

  707. and I can't I don't know what's going on.

  708. My first question is was the last time you invite

  709. somebody to church?

  710. Because church gets real alive when your friends sitting next

  711. to you and you've been praying for them for five years.

  712. And you realize this is not a game, this is

  713. their eternity on the line.

  714. You wanted something to spark in your relationship with Jesus

  715. when you go to the checkout line, say hey, what

  716. do you do on Sundays? I go to this little thing.

  717. I mean it's not taking me little, but you know,

  718. but it's.

  719. Super encouraging and it helped me every single week you

  720. want to come, you would be surprised. Here's what I'll say.

  721. Don't get people to know.

  722. Don't give their no for them. Some of us you've

  723. given nose for your whole family. They would never You

  724. may not know. Last night they were up crying to God.

  725. Please give me a sign that you see me.

  726. Please.

  727. I'm tired, I'm empty. I may be done. When you

  728. set up your life to serve, to solution to emptiness.

  729. The next one what to do when you are empty?

  730. You gotta serve.

  731. The next one is so everybody says, so Paul talks about.

  732. He says, don't get weary in doing good, for at

  733. the proper time, you will reap a harvest. If everybody say,

  734. if you don't lose heart. Now, let me tell you

  735. something that maybe you haven't thought of before, or maybe

  736. has been misrepresented to you. Our God loves without condition

  737. one hundred percent.

  738. There are things in.

  739. The scriptures that are conditional. You will reap the Harvest's

  740. a blessing. If come on now, some of this is

  741. just English, it's a theology.

  742. This is just English. If you don't lose heart, if

  743. my people.

  744. Who are called by my name will humble themselves repent

  745. and turn and.

  746. Pray to me.

  747. I will hear them, and I will.

  748. Heal their land. Absolutely.

  749. Now I gotta go into this because now I open

  750. the can of worms. There's a difference between a blessing

  751. and a miracle.

  752. Let me help you.

  753. Miracle is God intervening and no human could have done it.

  754. There's no rational reasoning, and you did not earn it.

  755. A blessing is conditional. I will bless you if you

  756. do this. I will have open doors for you if

  757. you obey me here and you do the same things

  758. with your kids.

  759. This is not a matter of God being weird or

  760. what is that? Or I thought he was supposed to

  761. love me.

  762. No, you tell your kids, hey, if you listen to me,

  763. when we get home, we will get some ice cream.

  764. Or hey, if you do this when we get home,

  765. I will let you stay up for five minutes. If

  766. you don't do that, I'll give you another chance, grace.

  767. If you don't do that, I'll give you another chance.

  768. Grace.

  769. You didn't do it the third time. Go to bade now,

  770. Dad is three thirty. I don't care. Go to sleep

  771. in your bed now. But then what happens a miracle?

  772. The next day you wake up, you got.

  773. Grace in your heart.

  774. We're going to target to get you a new toy.

  775. Why there's no reason, there's no explanation. It's the same

  776. with God.

  777. There are things He will intervene on your behalf and

  778. there is no explanation. There are other times he'll say, Hey,

  779. I have given you grace for this. If you go

  780. outside of that, it's gonna run you ragged. You're gonna

  781. be by yourself. You're gonna be stuck. You're not gonna have.

  782. No grace for it.

  783. But if you stay where I've called you to stay,

  784. I will always provide for you.

  785. I will always make a way for you.

  786. But if you go outside my path, I'll show up

  787. with some miracles, but I can't promise you. What he's

  788. saying here is hey, I've got a harvest for you,

  789. but just don't lose heart. And here's what I felt

  790. with this point. He says, don't get tired in doing good.

  791. I want to encourage some of y'all.

  792. You have come too far doing this good to throw.

  793. It away now.

  794. I just want to stop.

  795. Think about where you were, think about what you've been through.

  796. I know it's not perfect. I know it's not all

  797. worked out. I know you don't have all the ducks

  798. in a row that you want to. But think about

  799. where you were twelve months ago, in your thoughts, twelve

  800. months ago, in your self talk twelve months ago, in

  801. who you would be with and not be with. Who

  802. you were, where you were, what you were doing. He says,

  803. don't get tired of doing good. Don't get tired of

  804. sowing good seeds. Don't get tired of serving people.

  805. Don't get tired of doing the thing you know that

  806. you don't necessarily want to do, but you know it's

  807. good for you.

  808. Don't get tired in that. Don't get tired of holding

  809. a standard for who you'll date. It's a good thing

  810. to have a standard. It's a good thing to save

  811. your sel for marriage. It's a good thing to have

  812. a budget. It's a good thing to not accept every

  813. promotion because you realize it would rob you a family time.

  814. It's a good thing to not necessarily be talking to everybody.

  815. It's a good thing to maybe set time aside for

  816. God and not be at everything. It's a good thing.

  817. And I feel like sometimes we waste so much time.

  818. Wait on the great miraculous thing that we miss a

  819. lot of good things. It's a good thing to set

  820. up and say, Okay, this is gonna be my schedule

  821. for this season, and this is how I'm going to

  822. prioritize time for myself, and this is how I'm going

  823. to encourage people in it. It's a good thing. And

  824. he says in verse ten, it's so beautiful. He says, Therefore,

  825. whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone.

  826. I love the Bible because sometimes we make the Bible

  827. super complicated, like this.

  828. This is conversation I have with people. They'll be like,

  829. I'm trying to read a Bible, but I just don't understand.

  830. It's where do you start off? It's like revelations. I

  831. just feel like it's we there's a lot going on.

  832. That's why I don't trust the Bible. Okay, let me

  833. help you. Whenever you feel like you can do good,

  834. you should do it. Why just what does that really

  835. mean in the original Greek language?

  836. Shut up?

  837. It means be nice to people, be kind. It's not

  838. that complicated.

  839. Stop playing Seriously, sometimes we make stuff so the Bible

  840. is just like, whenever you can try to do good,

  841. you're like okay, but I'm just you know, well, I

  842. gotta pray about it.

  843. What what are you gonna do? What is it to

  844. pray about?

  845. Well, you know I'm where I'm at where God has

  846. to be in this season, and you know he's really

  847. working on me.

  848. Be quiet. Good. What is something that would be good?

  849. It would be good for you to make sure you're

  850. in a friend circle that is encouraging and headed toward God.

  851. That would be a good thing. You should do that.

  852. I'm gonna move on because I felt myself going to

  853. a rant.

  854. I'm not gonna do it. What to do when you're empty?

  855. Serve? So the last one step everybody says step Paul.

  856. In his closing remarks in Galatians, he says this in

  857. verse fourteen, As for me, may I never boast about

  858. anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus. Because of

  859. that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified,

  860. and the world's interest in me has also died. It

  861. doesn't matter whether we've been circumcised or not. What counts

  862. is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. Paul,

  863. at the very end of this letter, you gotta think

  864. about this. This is Paul, This is a guy who's

  865. seen a lot. He had this miraculous encounter. He literally

  866. is writing his animal gets knocked off his horse. Jesus

  867. himself is like, yo, I've got a new plan for you.

  868. He immediately is like, yo, I used to kill people.

  869. Now I preach. That's exactly how that happened. He becomes a.

  870. Missionary, starts planning churches around the world, and the church

  871. you are in today is a seed of Paul's ministry.

  872. Paul is emptying himself to this church, and he's saying, listen,

  873. there are people who are trying to tell you what

  874. you should or shouldn't be doing. And the reason they're

  875. doing that is because they're comparing themselves to you. And

  876. what they're going to start doing is they're going to

  877. boast an amount of people following them. He says, But

  878. for me, only thing I boast in is the Cross. Now,

  879. you've got to understand the implications of this statement. I

  880. know you got a cross around your neck right now.

  881. I know you got a cross tattoo. That was not

  882. the visual of the cross. During this time we think

  883. of the cross, when we're like.

  884. Oh that's so sweet, God die for me love, the

  885. cross was the most brutal, gruesome, humiliating way to die.

  886. They would literally you just died from literally you would

  887. sit up there.

  888. They would beat you until you were unrecognizable, couldn't recognize you.

  889. Whip you with whips that.

  890. Had nails and glass and rocks and stones sewed into it.

  891. They would hit you. It would all sink into your

  892. skin and rip off over and over. This is what

  893. Jesus did. He then is made while the blood is

  894. seeping from his body, to carry across. This is not

  895. the ones you see on the highway where the guy's

  896. got the wheels. This is a real deal. Wooden oak

  897. still got thorns, didn't sand it down for him so

  898. it be comfortable, and he drags it miles. He gets

  899. to this cross, he lays down. They take nails and

  900. hammer them straight through his skin in the perfect spot

  901. between the bones in his hands, so that the bones

  902. in his hands keep him hung up there.

  903. He gets up on there, and then what they do.

  904. They break his ribs and they break his legs wide

  905. because so that way he can't push up to take

  906. a breath, so he suffocates in his own blood. You

  907. know what Paul is saying. Whenever I start to think

  908. I'm too important. Whenever I start to think, you know,

  909. I know a lot of the Bible, and I've been

  910. to church a lot, and I've prayed a lot, and

  911. I've got a couple prophetic words, and I'm feeling pretty good,

  912. and I've done a.

  913. Couple good things.

  914. He says, Oh, I don't boast about nothing, because it

  915. should have been me up on that cross.

  916. And here is the gospel. Yes, Jesus loves you. Yes

  917. he died for you.

  918. But let's talk about why he had to do it.

  919. He did it because you were supposed to die. The

  920. Bible says the wages of sin is death. And I

  921. know we got a lot of beautiful preaching right now,

  922. but sometimes we only sell you part of the Bible

  923. and part of the gospel.

  924. And that he's a good God.

  925. That is true.

  926. But he had to be so good because we're so bad.

  927. We always make a mistake when we think there's good

  928. people and bad people.

  929. You've got a list in your head.

  930. There's good people and there's bad people. Not in heaven,

  931. there ain't not in Jesus' standard.

  932. It ain't.

  933. You want to talk about comparison, Let's compare yourself to

  934. the real standard perfection.

  935. That's where we all stated in here.

  936. And this is why Paul's message was so offensive, because

  937. there were hundreds of thousands of church people who got

  938. their value from comparing themselves to other people.

  939. All the rules.

  940. You don't So when Paul walks in saying, yeah, none

  941. of that matters you believe in Jesus or not.

  942. Well, but I've done all these good.

  943. Things, don't matter. Yeah, but I've never missed church don't matter. Yeah,

  944. but I'm really disciplined, doesn't matter. Putting your faith in

  945. Jesus is the only way the.

  946. Cross is beautiful.

  947. It's also offensive because it levels the playing field. You mean,

  948. if I just tell this little white lie and someone

  949. commits murder, it's the same thing.

  950. Yeah, to Jesus, it is no, that can't be true.

  951. Come on, there's some really horrible people who have done

  952. some really really bad things, and already we have compared

  953. ourself to somebody else. Scripture says in verse we read it,

  954. you don't need to compare yourself if you mind your

  955. own business, and your own business is no matter what

  956. you've done your own businesses.

  957. We have all fallen short. But the beauty of the

  958. gospel is Paul says this.

  959. He says, I know we've talked about a lot in

  960. this book, but he says this, it doesn't matter whether

  961. you've been circumcised or not. What he's saying is we've

  962. I've spent this whole letter trying to explain to you,

  963. and we're arguing over something dumb.

  964. That's the truth. You've argued over all this stuff of.

  965. What you can do, what you can't do, who you

  966. can be, who you can't be, he said, at the

  967. end of the day, that doesn't matter. What matters is

  968. are you being transformed into a new creation. That's all

  969. that matters at the end of the day. And my

  970. last point is if you feel empty, I'm gonna ask

  971. you to take a step a step, because the truth is,

  972. sometimes you get in church and you feel empty and

  973. you come in here and it's like, yeah, here's a

  974. list of eighty sixteen you're not doing, and I'm gonna

  975. give you a list of forty six things that you

  976. need to do. And if you follow these perfectly, and

  977. now it's.

  978. Another thing on your list.

  979. After you figure out what's going on with your teenager,

  980. after you figure out how.

  981. To pay your debt. After you realize, shoot, I forgot

  982. to follow my taxes.

  983. After you realize, oh my gosh, there's a little distance

  984. in my marriage.

  985. Then you're like, oh yeah. And also I need.

  986. To serve hundreds of hours, and I should be reading

  987. my Bible no at more. And I got a no

  988. Greek in Hebrew, and oh my gosh, no.

  989. A step?

  990. Can you? Would you consider taking a step?

  991. I'm gonna say, you gotta have it figured out, Charles.

  992. I got questions about God. Me too. I got questions

  993. about God. God, Why do we pray for stuff and

  994. sometimes it don't happen? Why are we praying if you

  995. already know what you're gonna do? I got a question.

  996. I can throw this whole room sideways with a couple

  997. of mind. We can really my questions stay in a

  998. group text with my friend Eron, just because I wan't

  999. scare nobody. But I got some questions. But my questions

1000. do not have to inhibit my step. Yes, I don't

1001. feel worthy all the time.

1002. But it's also true he still called me.

1003. Yes, I've still got some stuff that I'm working out,

1004. and I still feel a little insecure sometimes.

1005. But what's also true is he says he.

1006. Will give me both the power and the desire.

1007. To do what pleases him.

1008. Yes, our marriage is a little rocky, and I don't

1009. see the way forward, and I've never had a template

1010. of how to work through things. And I always give

1011. up when it gets hard, and I don't know what

  1012. I'm gonna do, but I.

1013. Can say I'm sorry. No, I don't know what the future.

1014. Holds, and I don't know how God's gonna work it out,

  1015. and I don't know where I'm going, But I can

  1016. say God, I'm listening.

1017. No, I ever done this before, and.

1018. I've never started a business before, much less did I

1019. go to school to start a business. But I can

1020. get a notebook from Walgreens and right at the top

1021. my business will be a blessing to other people. I

1022. can take a step. Jesus is called one of the

  1023. most beautiful scriptures.

1024. He says, are you tired? Are you worn out?

1025. Are you tired of waiting on that well done? Are

1026. you tired of walking throughout your day on the edge

1027. of depression and anxiety hoping that someone acknowledges you, and

1028. if they don't, it ruins everything.

1029. Are you sick of that?

1030. Are you sick of having the list of rules that

1031. you need to follow to be a good person, and

1032. if you miss one of them, it robs you of

1033. all the momentum you had when you sink back into

1034. the whole of not being good enough.

1035. Are you tired of that? He says, come to me.

1036. Do you feel empty? Do you feel frustrated? Do you

1037. feel like you don't know why you're here? Do you

1038. feel like money, can't feel the void? Do you feel

  1039. like you've went.

1040. To church and still there's some questions that rob you

1041. at night? Do you are you tired of being anxious?

1042. Are you tired of comparing yourself? Are you tired of

1043. not knowing why you're here on this planet? Jesus is

1044. the only one, And the.

  1045. Call of Jesus.

1046. Is if you feel empty.

1047. The end of that verse is, I will give you

  1048. rest for your soul.

1049. I might ask everybody to stand up all over this

  1050. room today.

1051. I want to pray over everybody.

  1052. In this room.

1053. Firstly, if you feel empty anywhere, anywhere, anywhere, anywhere, if

1054. there's any level of emptiness, I'm gonna say a prayer

  1055. for you.

  1056. And here's the thing.

1057. All your problems aren't gonna be solved in this one prayer.

1058. It's not gonna just magically all go away, but there's

1059. gonna be something beautiful that happens. And that's an awareness

1060. of God's presence, just an awareness that he loves you,

1061. that He's with you, that there is hope, that I

1062. can dream again, that God is gonna work everything out.

1063. So if you're in this room, I ask everybody to

  1064. buy your.

1065. Heads and close your eyes just out of a moment

1066. to focus. Maybe take a moment and just take some inventory.

  1067. How do you feel?

1068. What think about your last week, the last month, this

  1069. last year.

1070. Was there a moment where you felt empty?

1071. Was there a moment where you felt lonely?

1072. Is there a moment where it felt like the room

  1073. got darker and darker?

1074. Was there a moment where you feel like you didn't

  1075. know who you are?

1076. If you answer yes to any of those questions, I

1077. promise you Jesus and the Cross of Jesus is the

1078. only thing that will bring hope to that broken place.

1079. And if you're in here, I want to pray for you.

1080. So if you've ever felt any of that emptiness, I'm

1081. going to ask you to do something. But I'm just

1082. want you slip your hand up. Nobody looking around. You

1083. can go and do it right now, all the room,

  1084. any area.

1085. Currently, you're feeling empty, you're feeling hopeless.

1086. Holy Spirit, right now, this is.

  1087. A situation where we're asking for a miracle. We're asking

1088. for you to intervene in a way that only you can.

1089. We're asking Lord that that deep void that is on

1090. the inside of every person, that place that needs to

1091. be seen and recognize that place that just wants to

1092. be known. Holy Spirit, right now, would people just get

  1093. a sense.

  1094. Of your well done?

1095. Would people just get a sense that you're proud of them,

1096. When people just get a sense that you haven't left them,

1097. that you haven't forsaken them, that they're not all by themselves,

1098. that this depression is not their story, that anxiety is

1099. not their story, that they do have life to live

1100. and they are not going to end their life early.

1101. That there is another page in the book. I feel

  1102. that so strongly.

1103. Some of you, you feel like you're at the end

1104. of the book. You feel like the story of your

1105. life is written. But God says, baby, you are only

  1106. in the beginning chapters.

1107. There is so much that is left unwritten. And I

  1108. know the end.

1109. So God, I thank you right now for a spirit

1110. of hope that would rise in this room. Right now,

1111. people who have felt empty, Lord Jesus, I thank you

1112. that Lord, the spirit of the Living God would erupt

1113. on the inside of them and they would begin to

1114. overflow with an expectation. They would begin to overflow with hope,

1115. Lord Jesus, realizing that you are everything that they need.

1116. Every hit still about, every eye still closed. You can

1117. put your hands down. There's some people in this room that,

1118. if you're honest, you do not know where you stand

  1119. with Jesus.

1120. Maybe you've been in church, maybe you've been around church.

1121. Maybe you've tried to keep that list of good things.

1122. But the truth is you're still in the driver's seat

1123. of your life. You're still in control. You have the

1124. final say, You decide what you do and don't do.

1125. And let's be honest, it's why you're so empty.

1126. You ain't got a lie to me, you ain't got

  1127. a lot to yourself.

1128. It's why you're empty. That's why you came today, because

1129. you were just grasping for any type of hope. Can

1130. I tell you there is no list of good things

1131. and no amount of anything that will fulfill you. All

1132. you got to do is surrender. All you got to

1133. do is say yes. One Yes could be the best

1134. thing that changes your life forever.

1135. I know you made a lot of mistakes. I know

1136. you feel like a bad person, But.

1137. The greatest reality is that Jesus took your place.

1138. Yes, you should have been on that cross.

1139. But the gospel is he found you in a broken state.

1140. He found me in a broken state, and he said, all.

1141. You got to do is put your trust in me,

1142. For I am the perfect Lamb. I am the perfect sacrifice.

1143. And when you put your trust in me, when you

1144. surrender to me, when you say I can't do it anymore,

1145. when you give up, that is just the start. When

1146. you say I can't, I'm just getting started. So if

1147. you're in this room, every head bow, every eye close,

1148. and you want to surrender to Jesus for real, Not

1149. because you feel like it's the right thing to do,

1150. not because you feel like, oh, I probably should do this,

1151. No because you're tired of that empty feeling. If you're

1152. sick and tired of being sick and tired.

1153. I'm gonna ask you to raise your hand on the

  1154. count of three.

1155. One He loves you so much. To believe it or not,

  1156. He's proud of you.

1157. Three lift your hand right now, proud of you, so proud.

1158. Of you, beautiful, beautiful. I might ask everybody.

1159. If everybody would bow your heads, close your eyes, repeat

1160. this prayer after me. For everybody in the room and

1161. watching online. Would you say, Dear God, thank you for

1162. doing what I couldn't God, I pray from this day

1163. forward that you would take control of my life. I

1164. surrender to your will in your way. I give my

1165. life to you. It's in the beautiful name of Jesus,

1166. I pray. And everybody said, come on, can you shout? Amen?

  1167. Hey, listen, we're about.

1168. To close service in just a moment.

1169. But if you just prayed that prayer, that is the

1170. best prayer and the best moment of your life. It's

1171. a brand new start, to fresh start with Jesus, and

1172. we're so proud of you.

  1173. As a matter of.

1174. Fact, if you just prayed that prayer, you gave your

1175. life to Jesus. I'm gonna ask you to do something bold.

1176. I'm ask you to raise your hand. We want to

1177. give you a Bible. We want to give you something

1178. in your hand that you can take home with you. So,

1179. if you prayed that prayer, raise your hand high, don't

  1180. even play, raise.

1181. It up high if you see somebody. Can we celebrate
