-
enjoy this week's message. Well, how many are
-
ready to hear from the Lord? You've already heard
-
from the Lord today. But I just feel like the
-
Lord has spoken to me for you. And I want to
-
share that word with you. So good to be back
-
here at Life Bible again. See all of you. And
-
many of you are friends, good friends, dear friends,
-
family. And it's just always good to be with
-
you. This is a great, great, great church. And
-
I want to encourage you, don't take for granted
-
the church that you belong to and that you're
-
a part of. I have an opportunity to kind of travel
-
a little bit and been around the world and I've
-
seen a lot of churches and you're very blessed.
-
You're very blessed. And you can get in the midst
-
of the house and a lot of the routine and be
-
in the rhythm of serving and all of the things
-
that come with being a part of a church family
-
and we can just kind of come and show up and
-
enjoy and see all these things go home. And we're
-
kind of like, yeah, that was good. You got it
-
really, really, really good. You do. God is good.
-
And listen, if this is one of your first times,
-
you're newer to the church here, maybe you're
-
kicking the tires. You're just kind of checking
-
it out. I just want to tell you. This is a great
-
church and you will grow, you will thrive, you'll
-
see God move in your life like you've never seen
-
him move in your life before. And so I just want
-
to encourage you, this could be home for you.
-
So let the Lord speak to you and plant you in
-
the house and let him do what he wants to do.
-
You know, I really believe that God is good as
-
we kind of use this as a almost a Christianese
-
proverb. You know, God is good. And everybody
-
says, all the time. And then they go, all the
-
time. God is good. Yeah, see? There you go. Yeah.
-
Let me just close in prayer. Lord, we thank you.
-
My job here is done. But it really is true. We
-
have this understanding God is good. But I want
-
to remind you too that your future is bright.
-
How do you know your future is bright? Because
-
God is good. You have a bright future because
-
God is good. He's going to work it together for
-
good. He's going to turn it around. He's going
-
to cause the things that are just quite not lining
-
up. There's those things that you're waiting
-
on the Lord. Some of you have been waiting for
-
a while. And it's almost like your life theme
-
song is Jeopardy. Da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
-
When's things gonna come together for me when
-
it's gonna happen? Lord, please move on my life
-
right now. And you just wonder what's gonna happen.
-
Can I tell you? It's gonna be good. How do I
-
know that? Because God is good. He's good. Whether
-
the river's eating away at your bank, no matter
-
what it is. And by the way, I've been praying
-
for months. with you. I've been down in Arizona
-
wishing we had rivers to eat at our bank. That's
-
funny, man. I mean, we just had a monsoon a couple
-
of days ago and it rained all day and all night
-
and half the next day. And all the Arizonans,
-
man, they're in their houses looking out the
-
windows. Is it safe to go out? I'm originally
-
from the Northwest. I'm like, you people, come
-
on. No matter what's going on, though, whether
-
it's difficult, if it's delay, if it's denial,
-
and sometimes delay seems like denial, God is
-
working for your good, and he's gonna turn things
-
for your good. And I wanna tell you, many times,
-
The present moment does not represent the future
-
destiny of your life. The way the present looks,
-
it doesn't look the way it's going to look down
-
the road. Things need to change. Things need
-
to turn around for us to experience the bright
-
future God has for our life. So I want to speak
-
to you today from the subject, the God of the
-
turning. The God of the turning, that when God
-
steps into your moment, steps into your life,
-
and begins to turn things for your good, turns
-
things for your favor, turns it around for his
-
purpose in your life, the God of the turning.
-
God has a wonderful purpose for your life. It's
-
amazing. I'm convinced that you haven't seen
-
nothing yet. And he alone has the power to turn
-
things around so that the future becomes bright
-
and the moment, the momentary affliction, the
-
momentary problem, the momentary diagnosis, the
-
momentary issue is gonna turn around for good
-
in your life. You know, the nation of Israel
-
really had a rough go. In the time and ministry
-
of Jeremiah, Jeremiah actually witnessed the
-
city of Jerusalem be destroyed and it was horrific
-
and terrible and just incredible things were
-
going on and things were falling down around.
-
and he's looking around the nation and the city
-
and the people of God. And this is the moment,
-
the context, Jeremiah 29, 11, we'll get there
-
in just a moment, but Jeremiah 29, 11 says, for
-
I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord,
-
they are plans for good and not for disaster.
-
To give you a future. And a hope. A future and
-
a hope. Turn to your neighbor and say, you got
-
a future. Turn to your other neighbor and say,
-
there's hope for you. And this is actually a
-
season of judgment that all the book of Jeremiah
-
is prophesying about judgment and God. really
-
confronting Israel about the sin and things that
-
are going on. But then he ends his book with
-
these chapters of promise for what God really
-
wants to do and ultimately wants to work together
-
in their lives. Later in Jeremiah 31, a few chapters
-
later in Jeremiah 31, verse 10 through 14, says,
-
listen to this message from the Lord, you nations
-
of the world. Proclaim it in distant coastlands.
-
The Lord who has scattered his people will gather
-
them and watch over them as a shepherd does his
-
flock. For the Lord has redeemed Israel from
-
those too strong for them. They will come home
-
and sing songs of joy on the heights of Jerusalem.
-
They will be radiant because of the Lord's. Good
-
gifts. The abundant crops of grain, new wine
-
and olive oil and the healthy flocks and herds.
-
Their life will be like a watered garden and
-
all their sorrows will be gone. The young women
-
will dance for joy and the men, old and young,
-
will join in the celebration. Watch this next
-
phrase. I will turn. Their mourning into joy.
-
I will comfort them and exchange their sorrows
-
for rejoicing. The priests will enjoy abundance
-
and my people will feast on my good gifts. I,
-
the Lord, have spoken. Later in that chapter,
-
just a couple verses later, it says in verse
-
16, this is what the Lord says, do not weep any
-
longer for I will reward you, says the Lord.
-
Your children will come back to you from the
-
distant land of the enemy. Ha ha. There's somebody
-
in the room that needs to hear that. Your children
-
will come back to you from the distant land of
-
the enemy. What's the Lord say next? There is
-
hope. for your future, says the Lord. There is
-
hope for your future, says the Lord. Man, I think
-
that's a prophetic word for the house. I think
-
it's a prophetic word for your life. I think
-
that's a prophetic word for your future. Come
-
on, somebody. There is hope for your future.
-
And I think in our lives, we are in desperate
-
need of turning. We're in desperate need of a
-
work of the Lord where maybe marriage needs to
-
be turned around or your business needs to really
-
pop up into a new realm and you need God to turn
-
some things around. Or maybe you're in the room
-
today and just some things going on in your head
-
space needs to shift, needs to turn. Your thinking
-
needs to turn around. I just think that there's
-
a lot of ways that God can turn some things.
-
There is a work that God does in the Bible where
-
he turns things. Let's just look for a few minutes
-
at the God of the turning in the Bible. The God
-
of the turning in the scripture. How many know
-
the story of Joseph? You're pretty familiar with
-
his story, right? And how that his brothers,
-
he was the favorite son. His brothers were very
-
jealous. Of course, he didn't use a whole lot
-
of wisdom probably. sharing some of the revelation
-
that he had from God and began to talk to his
-
brothers about how great his future was. His
-
brothers were not too open to that prophetic
-
ministry. They betrayed him. They wanted to kill
-
him. Reuben interfered and said, listen, this
-
does not quite go that far. They sold him into
-
slavery. He went down to Egypt. Then he goes
-
down to Potiphar's house. He stands up for righteousness,
-
serves his best. The Bible says the hand of the
-
Lord was with him. He gets promoted and then
-
betrayed, falsely accused of rape, gets thrown
-
into prison, and he's there in prison. I mean,
-
it's just from the pit to Potiphar's house to
-
the prison, but he eventually gets to the palace
-
and becomes a prince of Egypt. Pretty amazing.
-
Later, his brothers come in a time of famine.
-
Their lives are at risk. They come seeking help.
-
Joseph is second in command. And when he reveals
-
himself to them, they wig out. They're like,
-
okay, we're dead because of what we did. And
-
in Genesis chapter 50, watch what Joseph says
Genesis 50 chapter mention
-
to them about that whole journey. And we're talking
-
20, 30, 40 years now. Genesis chapter 50, verse
-
20 and 21. It says, you tried to harm me, but
-
God made it turn out for the best so that he
-
could save all these people as he's now doing.
-
Don't be afraid. I'll take care of you and your
-
children. After Joseph said this, his brothers
-
felt much better. God made it turn out for the
-
best. You know, some of you have had some betrayal,
-
maybe in business, maybe in family, just in life.
-
Maybe family brokenness is part of your story,
-
relational heartbreak, whatever it is. God can
-
turn that pain into healing. He can restore.
-
Joseph. stood for integrity. He even suffered
-
for it, being falsely accused. But God turned
-
his problem into a promotion and opened up his
-
future. Man, I'd like to see that in my life
-
in some ways, wouldn't you? So man, let's turn
-
this around. I think there's that area could
-
be have some turning in my life. There's some
-
things that didn't quite go the way I thought
-
it would go. But God can step in and restore
-
and heal and cause incredible blessing to be
-
released in your life just because he turns it.
-
He turns it. The story of Esther. You have Esther
-
in the turning. The Jewish festival of Purim
-
is a celebration of God turning the plot of evil
-
into deliverance. From disaster to deliverance,
-
God turns that whole thing and saves the people
-
of God. Haman, who's a symbolic character of
-
the devil, really, in that story, he cast lots
-
for the destruction of the Jewish people, just
-
kind of rolling the dice to see where am I gonna
-
start killing these people? And he's rolling,
-
that Hebrew word for lot is the Hebrew word pur,
-
where they get purim. In other words, God turned
-
the dice in their favor. And now it's a Jewish
-
celebration. It's still celebrated today, to
-
this very day. Demonic plots against God's people.
-
The attack of the enemy coming against your life.
-
Come on, some of you are in the room going, I
-
think I know what that feels like. Here's what
-
it says in the book of Esther chapter 9 verse
-
20 through 22. Esther 9 20 and Mordecai wrote
-
after all the things go down and God saves his
-
people from an incredible miracle. God turning
-
the heart of the king, turning the situation,
-
turning the issue related to Haman and it says
-
Mordecai wrote these things and sent letters
-
to all the Jews near and far who were in all
-
the provinces of King Ahasuerus to establish
-
among them that they should celebrate. the 14th
-
and 15th days of the month of Adar as the days
-
on which the Jews had rest from their enemies
-
as the month, so the whole month is a celebration,
-
the month which was what? Turned from sorrow
-
to joy for them from morning to a holiday that
-
they should make them days of feasting and joy
-
of sending presents to one another and gifts
-
to the poor. God turned it. And what was disaster
-
became deliverance. What was a death sentence
-
became a breakthrough of life as God stepped
-
in and turned it around in their favor. Oh, I
-
got good news for everybody in the room today.
-
God is turning the plots of the evil one on their
-
head. And victory is coming for you. Come on,
-
victory is coming for you. Another way that you
-
see the God of turning in action is in dark and
-
rough places. Anybody in the room in a dark and
-
rough place? Boy, you can experience some of
-
these things in your life. I remember years ago,
-
I went through a dark and rough place. I'd broken
-
my ankle playing flag football. Never healed
-
properly. It's still not... The break never really
-
healed and I had fragments of bone in my ankle
-
and all of that. And I'm out there with the church
-
guys, you know, thinking that I was, you know,
-
Emmett Smith and I was not. And broke my ankle
-
and just, you know, I'm in a cast, all these
-
crazy things. A few weeks later was when we found
-
out that our oldest son and only child at the
-
time was deaf. Profoundly deaf. A few weeks after
-
that, they discovered a growth in my wife's body,
-
and we're talking cancer, a disease which was
-
common in her family and actually had taken her
-
grandmother prematurely earlier in life. To make
-
matters worse, Tyson had a seizure right before
-
my birthday. Happy birthday to me. He was taken
-
to the ER. where the doctors were concerned that
-
he might have spinal meningitis. Man, I'm gonna
-
tell you, in a matter of a few weeks of time,
-
all that stuff happened back to back. Bam, bam,
-
bam, bam, bam, bam. That is a dark and rough
-
place, bro. I mean, that's when you wanna go,
-
what the world is going on here? Isaiah 42, verse
-
16, it says, I will lead the blind by ways they
-
have not known along unfamiliar paths. I will
-
guide them. What's the next phrase? I will turn
-
the darkness into light before them. Which basically
-
he's saying, I'm gonna heal their blindness.
-
And make the rough places smooth. These are the
-
things I will do. I will not forsake them. Woo,
-
hallelujah. The dark and rough places, God's
-
gonna turn the light on and smooth it out. Come
-
on, I'm all about that. Let's just get on with
-
that story right now. Hallelujah. Another way
-
that the God of turning shows up is when he shows
-
up in the lives of the oppressed. And he turns
-
the work of the oppressor and he brings freedom
-
and liberty and removes their shame and breaks
-
all of the stuff of the evil one going on in
-
their life and delivers them and brings freedom
-
to their life. And some of that dark heaviness,
-
that weight, that depression, that oppression
-
that seems to just cloud your mind and weigh
-
on your heart and on your soul gets broken off
-
of your life. I just gotta tell you, I personally
-
think that some of this issue with the natural
-
stuff going on around you, with the river, I
-
think is a demonic plot to oppress and depress
-
and to hinder your faith and to interfere and
-
distract you from what God wants to do through
-
you. Well, skip that. I'm not gonna be a... I'm
-
not going to be distracted from the mission God
-
has for me. Your mission is to bring life and
-
freedom to the people of Central Oregon and beyond.
-
Amen? So that little river problem, that ain't
-
going to stop us. Amen? We're going to keep going.
-
God's good. He's going to turn things for our
-
favor. And it doesn't matter what happens in
-
the natural. God's on the throne. He's got a
-
purpose. He's got a future. He's got a hope for
-
you, for this house, and for all of you that
-
are in this room or watching online right now.
-
God bless you. He's working. And the oppressed
-
have hope by Zephaniah chapter three. I know
-
you were in Zephaniah this week. I know you were.
-
Some of you are like, Zephaniah, is that in the
-
Bible? It's right next to Hezekiah. See, you
-
gotta read your Bible more, I'm telling you.
-
Zephaniah chapter three, verse 19 says, behold,
-
I'm gonna deal at that time with all your oppressors.
-
I just, can I just stop right there? I just like
-
the sound of that. Behold, I'm gonna deal at
-
that time with all your oppressors. Can you imagine
-
the God of heaven say, okay, I'm dealing with
-
your oppressors. He's just like, oh yeah, the
-
beat down is on, man. You're toast. I'm gonna
-
deal at that time with all your oppressors. I
-
will save the lame and gather the outcast. What's
-
the next phrase? And I will turn their shame
-
into praise and renown in all the earth. Woo,
-
I love it. Come on, God, turn it around. Turn
-
this thing for good in Jesus' name. Now, what
-
must we, that's what God's gonna do. What do
-
we need to do? If we're gonna see the God of
-
the turning show up, what do we need to do? It's
-
very simple. But you know what, I don't think
-
people blow their lives up by getting the complicated
-
wrong. People blow their lives up because they
-
don't do the simple things. You know, don't do
-
the simple things. These are simple things, but
-
you have to do them. If you wanna see the God
-
of the turning, do what only he can do. There
-
are things we must do to partner with him. You
-
ready? Here we go, number one, first thing you
-
need to do, we must believe. All things are possible
-
to him who believes. You gotta have faith. And
-
let me ask you, you're gonna believe something.
-
You're gonna believe something. So are you gonna
-
believe in the power of your problem? Or are
-
you gonna believe in the power of the Lord God
-
Almighty? Are you gonna believe in the God who
-
turns it around? Or are you gonna believe in
-
the issue? Are you gonna believe in the hurt?
-
Are you gonna believe in the pain more than you
-
believe in the healer? No? We're gonna believe
-
in the healer. We're gonna believe in the restorer.
-
We're gonna believe in the deliverer. We're gonna
-
believe in the God who made heaven and earth.
-
What's a piddly river, God, over on him? Mark
-
chapter nine, verse 22 through 24. Have mercy
-
on us and help us if you can. If I can, really?
-
Help us if you can. What do you mean, if I can,
-
Jesus asked. Anything is possible if a person
-
believes. The father instantly cried out, oh,
-
I do believe. But help me overcome my unbelief.
-
There's little things that I kind of wonder.
-
What about the... And we begin to play the what
-
if game. Anybody know what playing the what if
-
game is like? Well, what if the state doesn't
-
get our permit? What if the doctor doesn't know
-
what to, what if I, it's easy to play the what
-
if game. Let's just skip to the part where we
-
believe God and say anything is possible. I believe
-
you in any little. speck of unbelief in my heart.
-
I just give it to you. Help me with that. But
-
I believe you can do anything. Because I want
-
to tell you, things will remain impossible if
-
you don't believe. So faith has got to govern
-
your life. By the way, faith, not feelings. Feelings.
-
Nothing more than feelings. And boy, I tell you,
-
your feelings can really jack you up. They can
-
begin to distract you. You feel, you know, I
-
don't feel that great. I'm feeling discouraged.
-
I'm feeling, and we look at what we see. We look
-
at what's going on. We let our eyes tell us that,
-
listen, the reality is not what you see with
-
your natural eye. It's what you see with your
-
eyes of faith. that is the true reality of your
-
life. So you need to not just go by what you
-
see or even what you hear. You know, a doctor
-
says, well, we've ran our tests and this is what
-
we see. This is what we, here's our report. And
-
the prophet in the scripture says, who's believed
-
the report of the Lord? What about that report?
-
The nothing is too hard for God. that I have
-
a future and a hope. That the spirit of the Lord
-
is on me. He's anointed me. He's given me power.
-
I have strength. And I believe that the Lord
-
has given you a God -given imagination so you
-
can see with eyes of faith things that are not
-
real in the moment. And we can allow faith to
-
inspire our imagination to see what's possible
-
with God. Faith is the evidence of things not
-
seen. And the Bible tells us that our heroes
-
of faith, they laid hold of what God had said
-
and what God had for them because they saw it
-
from a distance and welcomed it. Hebrews 11,
-
13. They saw it from a distance and welcomed
-
it. We must cast off the negative mindsets, the
-
thoughts of doubt, all of the things that can
-
distract our spirit of faith and we must believe.
-
We must believe the promise of God. We must believe
-
what he said. We must believe it. Spirit of God
-
is on us and his spirit is with us, helping us.
-
Second thing we need to do is we must turn it
-
over to turn it around. We must turn it over.
-
If he's the God of turning, then we must turn
-
it over to him so he can turn it around. See,
-
the problem is you're trying to do things that
-
only God is meant to do. And when you're trying
-
on your own strength to turn it around, God's
-
saying, no, turn it over to me. I'll turn it
-
around. This is what was meant when Jesus said
-
in Matthew 11, verse 28, come to me, all you
-
who are weary and carry heavy burdens. and I
-
will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let
-
me teach you, because I am humble and gentle
-
in heart, and you will find rest for your soul.
-
For my yoke is easy to bear. The burden I give
-
you is light. And so we need to call on the Lord.
-
We need to say, Lord, I need your help. This
-
is beyond my scope of experience. You ever been
-
there before? Some of you are smart. Y 'all got
-
some education there. Some of you got some degrees
-
behind your name. I got news for you. You're
-
not that smart. I don't mean to offend you, but
-
there's just some things that are way beyond
-
your degree, bro. They're way beyond your experience.
-
You're in over your head, Jack. This is when
-
you need God to turn it around. So I need to
-
call on the Lord and surrender this whole thing
-
to him. Just give it to him. It's the hand of
-
the Lord that turns things around, so we gotta
-
release it from our hands and put it in his.
-
That means that you have got, here's the kicker,
-
release control. Some of y 'all just went, oh,
-
snap. Because you like to be. 1 Peter 5, 7, give
-
all your worries and cares to God for he cares
-
for you. I mean, you gotta release control to
-
do that. You gotta give it over to him. You just
-
gotta say, listen. I freely admit this is way
-
beyond me. Way beyond me. I need your help. I
-
need the God of the turning to show up and turn
-
this around. So you give it to him. Third thing
-
we need to do. Oh, before I go on, I wanna tell
-
you a great story. You wanna hear a great story,
-
amazing story. Little girl named Charlotte. And
-
this story really pulled at my heart. You'll
-
figure out why. Charlotte was a little girl,
-
one and a half years old. So that should tell
-
you the connection with me. Charlotte has had
-
leukemia. Diagnosed with leukemia. I was a new
-
grandfather of a little girl and this girl, she
-
was related to some of the people in our church
-
and when I heard her story, I just broke, man.
-
I'm like, oh man, that is not right. That just
-
ain't right, man. Little baby having leukemia
-
like that, that's just wrong. That's just no
-
way. Don't even have any chance to live a life,
-
learn how to ride a bike. She got leukemia. Are
-
you kidding me? I began to pray. I began to intercede.
-
I began to ask the Lord to touch Charlotte's
-
body and our whole church began to pray. And
-
man, and it kind of got into my spirit. What
-
if that was your granddaughter? How would you
-
pray? I'd be like, man, I don't know if I'd even
-
sleep. I would just. I would fast all the time.
-
I'd probably lose a bunch of weight, which is
-
always really good for me, but I would call on
-
heaven. I would beg God. I would do whatever
-
I needed to do. I would call every friend I had.
-
Pray. Well, we did that for about a month, and
-
we received news that Charlotte is cancer -free.
-
God touched her body. A miracle was done. He
-
turned that situation. Somebody say turn. He
-
turned it. He turned it from sickness to healing,
-
from disease to wholeness. God of the turning
-
showed up, and he did something in response,
-
but we had to surrender it to him. We had to
-
say, this is beyond me. This is way beyond my
-
ability, way beyond my experience, way beyond
-
my capacity. I need your help. Oh, God, come
-
down and touch this little girl in Jesus' name.
-
Come on, do a miracle. Man, our God is a God
-
of miracles. That's why he still does it. In
-
fact, while I was in worship today, I just saw
-
a great, I saw this room kind of like a study,
-
and there were these books that were there, very
-
old, looked like old books. And that's kind of
-
how my mind works. and I saw these old books,
-
and there was gold stamps on the spine of them,
-
and there were books that were, there was a book
-
kind of on a table like this, old wooden table,
-
and there was this person that was writing there,
-
and I saw the books. They said miracles of 2020,
-
miracles of 2021, miracles of 2022, miracles,
-
and they were thick. I mean, they were like that
-
thick. And I felt like the Lord said that that
-
is the record of miracles in this church, that
-
God, you're going to have stories to tell, books
-
to write. There will be so many things happening
-
here about what God is doing, where the God of
-
the turning showed up, and you're going to fill
-
books. There's going to be miracle after miracle
-
after miracle. You're just going to say, look
-
at the story, look at the story, look at the
-
story. Third thing we need to do, there's a couple
-
more and I'm gonna land the plane here. Third
-
thing we need to do is we must be patient. Well,
-
this is the part that really gets me. I don't
-
know if you realize this, but there are promises
-
and then there is process. Now, that right there
-
was worth your drive in today. There are promises.
-
And then there is process. Promises come, you're
-
like, ooh, praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Oh, yeah.
-
Call the Shundak Choir on that thing. Come on.
-
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You just
-
thank you, Jesus. Then you hear that little song.
-
La, la, la, la, la, la, la. La, la, la, la, la,
-
la. I hate that song. Because you know, we're
-
waiting. Process has begun. Promises, man, they're
-
so inspiring. I mean, that's where you get the
-
goosebumps, man. That's where you're just like,
-
oh, hallelujah. They're so exciting. But then
-
process starts and it tests our faith, our patience,
-
our endurance. Hebrews chapter six, verse 12
-
says, imitate those who through faith and patience
-
inherit the promises. I'm good with the faith
-
part. You know, imitate those who through faith
-
inherit the promises, but that's just not what
-
the Bible says. The Bible says, imitate those
-
who through faith and patience. You know what?
-
I'm convinced that Costco is God's gift to Christians
-
to build their patience. Costco, where I'm at,
-
man. I walk into the parking lot and it's like,
-
you'd think it was a car dealership. Like, what
-
the? Where is the parking spot? I gotta go over
-
into the nether regions to find my... And then
-
I gotta embark on a discovery journey from the
-
nether region parking lot to the front door.
-
As luck would have it, The long stack of carts
-
shrinks in my journey from the back nether region
-
parking lot so that by the time I get here, the
-
knucklehead in front of me takes the last cart.
-
And since I live in Arizona, my face is melting
-
off my body as I have to go look for the next
-
cart which is around the corner. To get my cart.
-
Once I get my cart. I have to go in. And I stand
-
in line. While grandma Bula fumbles to find her
-
cart. Or her little coat. To scan in the little
-
things. I'm like sister can I help you? We're
-
dying back here. And I'm not even in the store
-
yet. Wave your hand if you get a witness. Anybody?
-
Oh, pray. Let's just pray right now. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you. So my question to you is if you're
-
gonna wait, what are you gonna do in the waiting?
-
Are we gonna complain? Are we gonna whine about
-
it? Are we gonna wonder where's God? Man, it's
-
a clicking by. Your stopwatch is a calendar.
-
You're wondering, how much longer do I need to
-
wait? Well, we need to be patient. We need to
-
recognize there's a process. And maybe instead
-
of asking or wondering what God can do for you,
-
maybe you should consider what he wants to do
-
in you while you wait for the turning. Finally,
-
we gotta maintain our strength. You gotta hang
-
in there and be strong. Don't get weary in well
-
-doing. Maintain your strength. Maintaining strength
-
is a key to physical health. It's true of your
-
spiritual faith as well. You gotta build your
-
strength in the Lord. You gotta strengthen your
-
faith, your spirit, and your soul. Ephesians
-
6 .10 says, finally, brethren. Why does he say
-
finally? Because they've been waiting. Finally,
-
brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power
-
of his might. I like how the message says it.
-
It says, and that about wraps it up. God is strong,
-
and he wants you to be strong. How do you get
-
strength? Well, you gotta wait on the Lord in
-
prayer and worship, and you're a house of prayer
-
and worship. I love it. It's one of the great
-
things I love about this church. So you really
-
don't have any excuse to start getting a little
-
weak. But sometimes you can get overwhelmed.
-
And so we need to renew our strength. Isaiah
-
40, 31 says, those that wait on the Lord shall
-
renew their strength. Right? And so another thing
-
we gotta do, we gotta be with people in the house
-
of the Lord. We gotta be with God's people in
-
church. That renews your strength. Psalm 84,
-
verse 7, it says, they, speaking of God's people,
-
go from strength to strength. Each one appears
-
before God in Zion, which is the house of God.
-
So you want to go from strength to strength and
-
get stronger? Be in the house of God. Let the
-
Lord strengthen your faith and renew your strength.
-
Get in a small group. Go to that Bible college
-
thing or college teaching thing that we heard
-
about earlier. Let the Lord strengthen you and
-
pour what you need into your life because I got
-
news for you. The Lord, in fact, I want everybody
-
to look at me right now. The Lord has made an
-
appointment with you. For right now, today. You
-
wanna know what the appointment's for? To start
-
turning that thing around in your life. It starts
-
today, it starts right now, where things begin
-
to turn. I'm believing that this week, God's
-
gonna show you a sign of good and his favor in
-
your life, where it begins to turn around. It
-
begins to shift. It begins to change because
-
we serve a God who specializes in turning things
-
around. He turns the human heart. Think about
-
this. Let me just go through a list. You ready?
-
He turns the human heart. He turns the rivers
-
of water. He can turn the hearts of rulers and
-
kings. He turns the destiny of the life of a
-
person. He turns the battle from defeat to victory
-
he turns the infertile soil over and makes it
-
fertile and fruitful this list by the way is
-
my study about the phrase of turning in the bible
-
he turns the soil that makes it fruitful he turns
-
the common into the valuable he turns the impossible
-
to the possible he turns sickness into healing
-
he turns a test Into a testimony. He turns a
-
mess. Into a message. He turns the broken. Into
-
the restored. He turns the sinner. Into a saint.
-
And the lost. into the found. He turns those
-
who were not a people into the people of God.
-
He turns pagan people into a holy nation. He
-
turns a little one into a thousand. He turns
-
darkness into light. He turns sadness into joy.
-
Why? Because he is the God of the turning. Hallelujah.
-
So maybe you have something that you need turned
-
in your life. Well, you're in the right spot.
-
You came and heard the right word. This is a
-
divine appointment for you. This is a God of
-
the turning moment in your life. Everybody in
-
the room, let's stand up to our feet. I'm gonna
-
pray for you all in a moment. Before I do, let
-
me tell you about the greatest turning that you
-
can ever experience in your life. And that's
-
turning from living for yourself and living for
-
the purpose of God. It's turning from being lost
-
to being found. It's turning from being stuck
-
in sin and rebellion against God and turning,
-
the Bible word for this is repent, turning to
-
him and receiving forgiveness and new life. Boy,
-
I like that turn. And there may be some people
-
here in the room today, that's where you need
-
to start. You need to start with that turn first.
-
So with every head bowed, so I'll bow our head.
-
Maybe you're in the room today and you need to
-
turn to Jesus. You know your relationship with
-
God's broken. You know that you are far from
-
God. You know that you're hearing this message
-
and you're like, man, I really want what you're
-
talking about, Mark, but I know that my, there's
-
a distance, there's a disconnect. I don't know
-
the Lord and I want him in my life and I need
-
to start there. And you do, you're right. And
-
I wanna invite you to turn to God right now in
-
this moment. In a second, I'm gonna count to
-
three. When I say three, just raise your hand,
-
but I want you to know God is here for you. He's
-
ready to forgive. He's ready to bridge that gap,
-
that breach between you and him. He's ready to
-
make this whole relationship thing happen. And
-
in a moment of faith, you can go from being disconnected
-
with God to being in a personal relationship
-
with him. It's the greatest miracle in the history
-
of humanity. When someone steps out of darkness
-
into his marvelous light, it's the best thing
-
that ever happened in your life. I'm gonna count
-
to three. And then when I say three, if you're
-
here today and you wanna say yes to Jesus, you're
-
ready to receive him, you're ready to turn to
-
God, I want you to slip up your hand and invite
-
him into your, I'm just gonna lead you in a simple
-
prayer. We're not gonna try to embarrass you,
-
but I wanted you to just raise your hand. and
-
receive him into your life. So on the count of
-
three, one, two, three, say yes. I'm ready to
-
say yes, Mark. I'm ready. Anybody in the room
-
here today, raise your hand right here. Thank
-
you. Anybody else? Thank you, ma 'am. Thank you,
-
sir. Anybody else? Raise your hand right now.
-
Just slip it up. Everybody in the room, let's
-
pray this prayer. Dear Jesus, thank you for loving
-
me. Today, I turn to you. I put my faith in you.
-
Forgive me of my sins. Come into my life. I receive
-
you. As my Lord and Savior. I invite you. To
-
take control of my life. I surrender to you now.
-
And I thank you for your life and love. In Jesus
-
name. Amen. And the church let's tell these to
-
raise their hands. Congratulations. Best decision.
-
Best decision ever. Best. I want to pray for
-
everybody in the room. You say, Mark, I have
-
an area in my life where I need the God of the
-
turning to show up. I've had a diagnosis. I've
-
got an issue that I need God's help with. Whatever
-
it is, you need the God of the turning to turn
-
this thing around. Raise your hand right now.
-
All over the room. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Man, I feel the power
-
of the Holy Spirit. I'm just gonna tell you,
-
things are gonna start turning. The Lord sent
-
me here with a word for you that he's gonna start
-
turning it around. He's gonna start turning it
-
around. Hallelujah. Right now, right now, right
-
now, right now. Come on, keep your hand up. Holy
-
Spirit, right now, I pray for the power and anointing
-
of God to come on every, you know every story
-
and every life. And every circumstance, I pray
-
right now, the Spirit of the Lord would come
-
on their moment and come on this life and come
-
on their story. And in that circumstance, we
-
prophesy the God of the turning begin to move
-
and he begins to turn things around. That that
-
which is darkness becomes light. That which is
-
sickness becomes wholeness. That which is prodigal
-
and broken and in need of you is getting turned
-
around. by the power of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you, Lord. I pray right now you would move
-
like only you can move. We prophesy to every
-
bondage, every chain, be broken in the name of
-
Jesus. We take authority over any work of the
-
evil one. We break your power and your hold right
-
now in Jesus' name. I declare a turning over
-
this house and a turning over every life, over
-
businesses that are stuck, they're plateaued,
-
they're hindered. I speak to infertile ground.
-
I speak to brokenness. I speak to every wayward
-
child, every grandchild, niece and nephew that
-
is wandering in sin. Call you back right now
-
in the name of Jesus. Come back. I speak to that
-
broken body, the sickness and infirmity. You
-
leave now. Go in the name of Jesus. I lose healing
-
into your body right now. I declare wholeness
-
into your body right now. In the name of Jesus.
-
Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Thank you, Lord. Hallelujah.
-
Really, really quickly, I just want to speak
-
to a few things. This sister here, the second
-
row, I saw you in the altar. The Lord says he's
-
doing a deep, deep thing in your life. And there
-
is a kind of like this little list you got. And
-
there's some things that you just want the Lord,
-
you need the Lord to do. And I just felt like
-
the Lord tell me to tell you that he is working
-
it out for your good and for his glory. He's
-
doing a deep work in you. There's gonna be treasure
-
come from the trouble. Ooh, somebody else needs
-
to hear this too. Treasure for your trouble.
-
Treasure for your trouble. There's treasure for
-
your trouble. Treasure for your trouble. In the
-
name of Jesus. I believe AJ, AJ, right? And your
-
wife, I see you, you're gonna move soon. You're
-
gonna experience a new anointing coming into
-
your life. There's an elevating of the gift of
-
God on you that's coming in your future. In both
-
of you, not just him, but both of you. There's
-
an elevating of the gift of God. I see you, sister,
-
writing so many songs. It's like you can't, the
-
words come so fast, you can't, it's like you
-
can't write them fast enough. And it's like you're
-
done with one, and bam, another one comes to
-
you. Your friends are gonna go, girlfriend, what
-
happened? Wow, you've almost been like, you've
-
been in a drought. in worship and God is going
-
to break open the heavens and the internal well
-
in your spirit. It's gonna flow like a river,
-
like a river out of your life. AJ, the prophetic
-
anointing is gonna elevate in you. You're gonna
-
be known as a prophet of God. You're gonna prophesy
-
and stand among the prophets of the Lord in the
-
land. You'll travel. You'll go to other nations.
-
You'll minister. The word of the Lord is in your
-
life. You're a person who sees things in the
-
spirit and God's going to give you a credibility.
-
Some people have looked at you and wondered,
-
you know, that's kind of spooky and a little
-
weird. And it's, it's, don't listen. Listen,
-
don't listen to unbelieving people. You listen
-
to the word of the Lord over your life. You listen
-
to your pastor. Listen to, God's gonna knit your
-
heart with your pastor, by the way, in a greater
-
way. You're gonna learn from him. You're gonna
-
be like an Elisha in the house. He's gonna put
-
his spirit upon you. Casting in the mantle of
-
God will be upon you. These next few years, I
-
see like the next three years. You're going to
-
be near him and God's going to work in a deep
-
way. It's going to be an amazing impartation
-
of the anointing of God upon your life through
-
his life. We know God doesn't play favorites
-
and neither does the pastor, but there are specific
-
God assignments that God works out for the kingdom
-
of God. So that's going to be taking place in
-
your life. The young woman in the yellow or mustard
-
colored coverall here, pregnant, heard the Lord
-
say that your child is going to be a a worshiper
-
in the house of the Lord, the spirit of praise
-
is gonna come on, it's on that child right now
-
in your womb. And your singing and your worship
-
to the Lord is reverberated into your body and
-
is actually teaching that child things about
-
the supernatural realm of heaven that it will,
-
as it is born and grows in the house of the Lord,
-
it will begin to express. Because of the spirit
-
of the Lord that is upon you even right now.
-
Is this your first child? Do you have other children?
-
You have three kids? This is your fourth? Hallelujah.
-
So we just declare that spirit of the Lord upon
-
that child. There's a special anointing. They're
-
going to be a person of the presence of God.
-
People are going to actually talk about your
-
child and go, there's something different about
-
your child. I don't know. And what they're perceiving
-
is the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon them.
-
They're gonna write songs. They're gonna have
-
an anointing to break the yoke. There's gonna
-
be an anointing upon them for songs of deliverance.
-
There's gonna be a powerful spirit of praise
-
on that child. Amen. Sonny, I see you back there.
-
God is getting ready to elevate you, brother.
-
I'm gonna tell you right now, while you are here,
-
God is working there. There are things that while
-
you are in the barn and in the field, God is
-
going to birth in your spirit for your homeland.
-
Ideas, songs, ways to connect to the next generation
-
that you hadn't thought about before. And while
-
you're here, God is working there with people
-
in the music industry. I see people involved
-
in studio production and record production, music
-
production, video production. I see you even
-
on television in India, national TV, being given
-
a platform to testify of the goodness of God.
-
And it's gonna reverberate. There is a, like
-
a Daniel anointing that is on your life where
-
he's gonna give you favor. And it's like, no
-
matter where you are, whether you're in front
-
of Nebuchadnezzar or Belteshazzar or Darius or
-
whoever you're in front of, you have favor, you
-
have favor, you have favor, you have favor. The
-
favor of the Lord is on you, sir, for an incredible
-
work of the Holy Spirit. Great move of God is
-
already going on in India. It's going to go,
-
it's going to multiply like crazy. 10, I see
-
the number 10, just like 10 times more than what
-
it is now. It's gonna go there. It's gonna be
-
crazy. And Mark, I just really felt like the
-
Lord dropped this into my heart for you, that
-
God's gonna touch you, both you and your son,
-
your family business. He's gonna cause the blessing
-
of God to come on there because you have partnered
-
with him and you've made divine purpose a part
-
of your plan and God brings prosperity to people
-
like that. Because the work of God requires the
-
provision of God. He's gonna get the provision
-
to you so he can get it through you. Hallelujah.
-
It's gonna multiply, Aaron. It's gonna multiply.
-
You watch. Don't worry about the market or what
-
tariffs do or any of the things. Your faith's
-
not driven by the news. It's driven by the hand
-
of God. It's always been that way. It'll always
-
be that way. He's the God of the turning. He's
-
the God of the turning. I'm here to announce
-
to you, He's the God of the turning. And He's
-
working in you. Hallelujah. Praise the Lord.
