  1. Welcome to Transformation Church Podcast, where we represent God to

  2. the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so

  3. glad you're here and wherever you're listening from, we believe

  4. God will transform your life. Do today's message amen?

  5. Well, Today we are starting a brand news series simply

  6. entitled The Death to Distraction.

  7. You should be intimidated.

  8. Because in this series, I feel like it may be

  9. the most important series I've ever preached. If you get

  10. the principles within this series the next eight weeks, it

  11. will eliminate your delay. Most of the things that God

  12. desires to do is not an issue on his side.

  13. I'm gonna say it one more time because some of

  14. y'all think God's being slow. Most of the things that

  15. God desires to do in your life is not an issue,

  16. a problem, a defect on the side of the deity.

  17. It's usually something in us that has been disobedient. And

  18. I need us to be honest about where we are

  19. in the area of focus. Everybody, say focus, Come on,

  20. say it with faith?

  21. Focus.

  22. Can we be hot, humble, open and transparent? How many

  23. people have an area in your life that it's hard

  24. for you to focus? Come on, just come on? How many,

  25. put your other hand up. If you have several areas

  26. that is hard, okay, all right, clap twice. If there's

  27. not many areas you can't focus in, okay.

  28. Clap twice. Yep, thank you, And the others is lying

  29. the reason I'm.

  30. Trying to bring us all to the same place, because

  31. this message series is not for your neighbor.

  32. This one's for you. And so today as.

  33. We walk through literally just the intro, I was in

  34. the back going through with the team what I was

  35. about to preach and they was like, that's like four

  36. weeks right there.

  37. Slow down, calm down, let them get it.

  38. And so today it's just the introduction of the concept

  39. of how we are going to put to death the

  40. things that are distracting us and taking us away from

  41. shout the word of the year Focus. And so as

  42. we come into today's message, I don't want to just

  43. set a framework for this message. I want to set

  44. a framework for the year, because if we don't set

  45. a framework for the year, at some point in March,

  46. you gonna get off focus. If I don't set a

  47. frame work for the whole year, sometime in the summer,

  48. we're gonna throw off restraint.

  49. And so instead of just the word of the year,

  50. which the word of the year.

  51. Transformation Church is saying, with faith focus, God gave me

  52. a scripture of the year. And my prayer is by

  53. the end of this year, every person under the sound

  54. of my voice would.

  55. Know this by heart.

  56. You wouldn't need to pull up the U version to

  57. say this one. This would be a scripture that you

  58. hide in your heart. And this scripture that talks about

  59. our focus is Hebrew's twelve one, Hebrews twelve one and two.

  60. We're gonna say it together.

  61. And since it's the first time we're saying, we're gonna

  62. try something different with everybody's stand up for me real quick,

  63. Come on, just stand up. In all school church, we

  64. used to stand for the reading of God's word.

  65. Now I ain't no more power in standing. You could

  66. do it sitting.

  67. But I'm doing this for the old schools sayings to

  68. remind you where we came from. All right, all right,

  69. I'm gonna put it. Yeah, read, No, everybody's gonna read. Okay,

  70. I'm gonna put it on the back of the screen.

  71. And we're going to try to do something that is

  72. very difficult to do with this.

  73. Many thousands of people.

  74. So I'm gonna conduct you, but I want us to

  75. read this scripture together. Let's see how this goes, because

  76. if it don't go good today, then from now I'm

  77. gonna read it. Okay, everybody, say together, Therefore, since we

  78. are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let

  79. us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that

  80. so easily entangles us, and let us run with perseverance.

  81. The race marked out for us. Here. It is fixing

  82. our eyes.

  83. Focus, fixing our eyes.

  84. Say it with me. Focus.

  85. I'm going to fix my eyes and focus on what

  86. on Jesus, the pioneer and the prefector of faith, for

  87. the joy set before him. He endured the cross, scorning

  88. its shame and sat down at the right hand of

  89. the throne of God.

  90. We did it.

  91. J'll give it up, Give it up, Give it up.

  92. You may be seen that Hebrews twelve one and two.

  93. For the rest of the year, we're gonna say that

  94. every week. And you can go ahead and make this easy.

  95. And you should read this and try to memorize it

  96. every single day, because I just gave you the answer

  97. to all of your distractions. Before we take the next test,

  98. how do you get your distractions to no longer put

  99. you on the path of a detour? You fix your eyes,

  100. focus on Jesus. Write it down at the point. Fixing

  101. your eyes on Jesus gives you the faith to focus.

  102. I'm so distracted. I bet you not looking at Jesus. No,

  103. I'm literally Any time in your life where distraction is

  104. dominating you, I promise you the focus is not Jesus.

  105. Think about it. Think about your worst season.

  106. Think about the season where you didn't feel like yourself.

  107. Think about the season.

  108. Where it felt like the enemy was just running over you,

  109. and things were coming from the left and the right

  110. and all that other stuff. It was a conglomeration of

  111. a lot of things, But one thing it wasn't.

  112. Was a fixed focus on Jesus.

  113. And if you could decide that my answer is to

  114. fix my eyes, I would be able to stay distraction

  115. free from.

  116. The things that try to entangle me.

  117. Remember what that scripture said, we have to set.

  118. Aside every weight. A weight is a distraction.

  119. A wait is that relationship you keep trying to make work.

  120. A weight is that image you keep trying to keep up.

  121. A weight is actually saying not how you feel and

  122. making people feel like you all right, when there's really

  123. an issue that you won't confront.

  124. The reason we know the weight is.

  125. A distraction because he said.

  126. I want you to run your race, and no runner

  127. is trying to.

  128. Run his race with more weight on them. Y'all know

  129. what the Olympics. They be in the smallest little draws.

  130. Everybody in draws.

  131. Y'all know what I'm talking about. They in the.

  132. Thinnest little spandex drawls, because even.

  133. Might grow small cotton.

  134. Sweats would be a weight, and the weight would be

  135. a disadvantage for them running their race. And God's saying,

  136. I want you to put off distraction so you can

  137. run this race. And so that means I gotta fix

  138. my focus. Somebody say, fix my focus.

  139. Ooh, this is gonna be so good.

  140. This gonna be so good, This gonna be so good.

  141. Everybody say, fix my focus. How am I gonna make

  142. it through this school year? Fix my focus? How I'm

  143. gonna raise these kids even though they daddy's a fool.

  144. Fix my.

  145. Because at some point you can't change anybody else. I

  146. wish you could get this one for real. At some point,

  147. the thing that frustrates you. That has been an excuse.

  148. You can no longer do anything to change that. You

  149. have to take.

  150. Responsibility for where you are.

  151. What's happening, and you need to fix your focus on Jesus.

  152. I'm gonna make it through this traumatic situation that I'm

  153. gonna going through right now, where I'm grieving and there's

  154. a bunch of loss and I can't tell up from down.

  155. I'm gonna fix my focus.

  156. And that's why I need everybody to know, because right

  157. now people are looking and listening to this and be like, yeah,

  158. they are distracted by that.

  159. Oh I saw, Oh my God, how they distracted by that?

  160. All of us have a distraction somewhere, and so I

  161. need you to understand this point right here. All distractions

  162. are different, but they all have the same answer. You're

  163. distract maybe resources and finances, but the answer to be

  164. able to not drown in debt is to fix your

  165. focus on Jesus. Gossor Mike, how practical is that God

  166. talks about finances and money and what to do with

  167. this so much in the Word of God, But most

  168. of us are looking to gurus who do not value

  169. the principles that you said that you were going to

  170. live by in the kingdom, and so you're putting your

  171. money in stuff and not honoring God. First that he said,

  172. if you would fix your focus on me, And what

  173. I said, somebody.

  174. Say, fix it. You never met.

  175. Somebody has a bad attitude and it's a time.

  176. To be happy.

  177. And sometimes old Auntie will come by and just say

  178. fix it. They won't even look at you for real,

  179. they won't even do it.

  180. Ah, fix it. I feel like the.

  181. Holy Spirit is saying to some of y'allhod is like,

  182. are they my husband?

  183. Are they my husband?

  184. Are they somebody shot at me?

  185. Fix it? Fix is that? The business? Is that? The business?

  186. Is that?

  187. The business? A fix?

  188. He'll whisper for a witty invention and idea to you.

  189. I'll be watching Shark Tank sometimes being like, God, what's

  190. up the scrubby dub thing with the smile? Y'all ever

  191. seen that thing? It's a little smile. It's a sponge.

  192. It's a sponge with a smile and a thing. God,

  193. why not me? But many times we're looking for something.

  194. When God said, if you would get.

  195. In my face, if you would petition heaven more, Ah,

  196. if you would come to the one who.

  197. Is and is and will be to you. If you

  198. get to me, somebody shot at me one more time.

  199. Fix it. That's why one Corinthians ten thirteen.

  200. Tells us that our distractions are not new. It says,

  201. the temptations or distractions in your life are no different

  202. from what others have experienced. So sorry to bust your bubble.

  203. Your distraction doesn't make you special. Your distraction makes you human.

  204. What you're gonna do with it? Can I say this?

  205. Some of our distractions watch this aren't bad. They're just

  206. not Him. Because some of y'all are thinking you're alcohol

  207. and drugs and no your kids. But these mad kids,

  208. they were his kids before they were your kids. It says,

  209. before you were formed in your mother's womb.

  210. I knew you.

  211. You waited nine months to see what they was looking like.

  212. He was already making portraits.

  213. Of of it.

  214. He Can I be seriously, some of your distraction is ministry.

  215. You will pray for somebody and not be patient with them.

  216. And what God is saying to you is you are

  217. being distracted by the function.

  218. I don't know what your distraction.

  219. Is today, but if it is out of priority and

  220. God is not your focus, it is time to have

  221. a funeral for the distractions in your life.

  222. And before we go to the funeral, God's requiring you

  223. to actually put it to death.

  224. See See, this is the moment that you understand what

  225. an altar is. Everybody talks about God changed me at

  226. the altar. The altar is the place where things die.

  227. An altar is not the place even when you think

  228. about marriage. The reason they call it an altar is

  229. because it's supposed to be the death of the individual,

  230. and it's supposed to be a new life happening through

  231. a covenant that is made by those two people. The

  232. two shall become one. It can't be three of y'all

  233. because the other.

  234. Two should have died. And it was saying this is

  235. not a part of my message.

  236. But anytime you hear the altar, think not sweet somber music.

  237. When you think altar, blood, death, no more. And it was.

  238. Usually in the Bible a sacrifice to God. What does

  239. it look like for you to bring the thing that

  240. has been taking away your focus and you put it

  241. on the altar before God in the first month of

  242. twenty twenty five, and you say, God, I'm not just

  243. gonna tell you to take it.

  244. I'm gonna kill it.

  245. Because most of us want our distraction to be kidnapped.

  246. You don't want to kill it. You just want to

  247. be gone.

  248. For a season till I get strong enough to handle it.

  249. And then they doesn't have no way, They don't have

  250. no power over me.

  251. Oh, I'm a stronging a lord.

  252. Until you're right back, somebody say.

  253. Fix it.

  254. Yeah, that's why the Bible is telling us. Your distracting

  255. ain't different than any distraction anybody's ever had. It might

  256. be an HD now, it may be more magnified, it

  257. might be technology might help it a little bit, But

  258. the same distraction you have, everybody can experience that. And

  259. it says, and God is faithful. The temptation in your

  260. lives are no different from what others experience. And God

  261. is what is He faithful. He will not allow the

  262. temptation to be more than you can stand. That means,

  263. as a believer, you never can fall into a temptation

  264. because he said he never lets you be tempted. Bob

  265. what you can with So if you ever fall to

  266. your distraction.

  267. You just.

  268. This is why I'm trying to help you. If you

  269. ever said, she just asked me too, many times, she

  270. just asked me too many, Oh my God, I did

  271. not have to fall.

  272. I just got tired of standing. And too many believers

  273. are in a place where they feel like.

  274. I've been standing for purity for seven years. God, and

  275. I'm ovulating and he look good.

  276. Y'all better help me in this place.

  277. And I don't know what's going on. And this one

  278. is extra strong. Handwear cologne, hand kick up, and Lord

  279. he be posing stransation. And God.

  280. He got myself and you. He said, if you fall,

  281. though you decided, he said this.

  282. One, it's still not more than you can with stand.

  283. Think about the things you said just happened. Think about

  284. the things that you said.

  285. I I'm Here's one time.

  286. He said that our God is somebody shouted me, faithful.

  287. He will not allow the temptation to be more than

  288. you can stand.

  289. So when you are tempted, he will always show you

  290. a way.

  291. Somebody shout out. He'll always show you every time I'm tempted,

  292. because he is faithful. This is character right now, he said,

  293. God is what faithful. He'll never tempt you more than

  294. you can withstand. So when you get tempted, he'll.

  295. Always show you a way.

  296. Out.

  297. So when I read this scripture, I just thought about

  298. all the times I didn't see the way out.

  299. Oh y'all gonna leave me up here by myself.

  300. It was like I thought, I looked around, I didn't

  301. see nothing.

  302. But then when I begin to look deeper, I found

  303. out I would so distracted.

  304. By what I had already decided.

  305. Oh my god, many times when God provides a way out,

  306. we're so distracted by what we've already.

  307. I wouldn't even be here if I wasn't gonna do it.

  308. And that's when not knocking, Are they gone?

  309. That was your way out?

  310. Yeah, you walk back in there, double locket, double locked.

  311. Why didn't you see the way of escape? Maybe because

  312. it wasn't your focus. Because if somebody was kidnapping you,

  313. the only thing you would be looking for. Under different circumstances,

  314. you would you would be looking for any moment did

  315. they crack the window? Did they go to leave the

  316. and I did through this concrete floor. You would do

  317. impossible things. Have y'all heard of people like digging out

  318. of jail, sales.

  319. With a spoon and stuff like that. Do you know

  320. how the years that.

  321. Would take all my prison people watching don't do that. Okay, no,

  322. go God is going to restore you in a different way.

  323. But what I'm saying to you, But what I'm saying we.

  324. Got to broad audience, y'all, that's my people. Okay, shout

  325. out everybody in the potent of territory.

  326. God's gonna transform y'all life.

  327. But don't.

  328. But what I'm saying to you is in a different situation.

  329. You're always looking for a way. Yet when it's a

  330. temptation and a and a decision and a distraction, we chose,

  331. we don't see it. So pastorbody, what are you trying

  332. to tell me? If you don't get nothing else, get

  333. this point right here. Your distraction is your decision.

  334. Nobody told me this.

  335. Nobody told me that everything I'm distracted by I decided

  336. to be distracted by it. Your distraction is your decision.

  337. I need you to hear me say this because until

  338. you take ownership, you will always farm out blame where

  339. you could actually change the course of your life through

  340. confronting something that is not like you want.

  341. It in your life.

  342. The first step to deliverance is acceptance.

  343. I chose this them Amen's is getting weak.

  344. The reason why is because the repeats of the relationship,

  345. nobody forced you into that.

  346. You keep deciding.

  347. To get the bad boy, that kind of love God

  348. and play an instrument on the side.

  349. That is a rough combination. And you've been to four

  350. states one one's in high school. Now you're forty. Same

  351. thing you decided.

  352. You decided to accept poverty. I didn't say you decided

  353. to be born into it. But after you came of

  354. the age where you understood what was happening to you,

  355. some of us decided to keep signing up for Section eight,

  356. start a business on the side, not report our income,

  357. and actually live because I can get my house for

  358. six hundred dollars and okay, that's all right, it's too much.

  359. I get it, I understand, But you can't ask God

  360. to bless you, and you still decide to be distracted

  361. by poverty. Some of y'all decided to be greedy. You

  362. have set up in your heart to have a hard

  363. heart and be judgmental, and as soon as somebody comes

  364. in looking like you used to look in a different

  365. season when we didn't know you, you automatically project on

  366. them who you were and don't give them.

  367. The grace that you needed. And so you begin to

  368. push back on them and link at that spirit that

  369. as a bell spirit, and that that no, no, no, no, no no.

  370. You decided to be.

  371. What turns you into you, and instead of being somebody

  372. that can transform them and help show them along the

  373. way how to transform and change. Whatever your distraction is,

  374. you decided it that substance, you decided think about it

  375. at this point, whose fault is it? Now? Know this

  376. is strong, But let me give you some encouragement, because

  377. this is the year that we're gonna put a depth

  378. of distraction. The reason why I'm so aggressive on this

  379. is because you can't live another year in the same decisions.

  380. That you've been living in. There's got to be a break.

  381. I feel that thing right now.

  382. There's got to be something that chops off the head.

  383. Of the enemy in your life.

  384. There has to be something that says, not another year,

  385. not another month, not another day. I'm gonna put depth

  386. this distraction because it's cost me two lunch.

  387. I will not be delayed.

  388. Somebody shot at me, I will not be delayed.

  389. But if you won't own the.

  390. Fact that I chose the distraction, some of y'all so

  391. been out of shape about TikTok being gone.

  392. I mean, y'all hurt. You didn't grieve like this when

  393. your uncle died. This I seem more posts they have

  394. in funerals. They doing all kinds of stuff for an

  395. app that has been a distraction.

  396. Some of y'all should shout because you just got your

  397. life back. Some of y'all should shout because now you've

  398. got time to make the business plan.

  399. You've been broke so long watching.

  400. Other people do few review that you didn't do.

  401. What God told you to do.

  402. But I'm telling you, I'm putting depth to distraction.

  403. Let me calm down, Let me calm down. I'm trying to.

  404. The Holy Spirit gave some of y'all a head start

  405. on the plan that he has for your life because

  406. he knew you were addicted. And some of y'all are

  407. having watched this withdrawals. Oh my gosh, you gonna see

  408. it in the next few days. People gonna open my

  409. space back up. Black Planet on the way. Oh, they

  410. laying down distractions.

  411. Y'all didn't see it.

  412. They came, somebody go get a trash can. They said,

  413. I'm not gonna wait until Monday night. We've been laying

  414. down distractions all week. Oh somebody else came from out

  415. of town. They said, I'm laying down distraction. I'm laying

  416. down y'all be the place with me.

  417. Not another year, not another day.

  418. I'm laying down distractions cause I'll have the faith too.

  419. Focus.

  420. All right, here we go, And just for anybody else,

  421. if you need to lay anything else down, you can

  422. come on and bring it to the dolls.

  423. Okay, we not waiting. This ain't a formula.

  424. This is not something we're trying to be pretty in

  425. front of people.

  426. We gonna get delivered in this place.

  427. That's gonna be freedom in the house of God.

  428. Yeap, gonna throw it in there, Jay, gona throw it

  429. in there. Gon throw it in there. Come on, go

  430. and throw it in there, going, throw it in there.

  431. Come on.

  432. Yeah, he throwing that faith in there. He said, no

  433. more of this faith, take it away my life. I'm

  434. putting the depth to the distrest. Just keep it right

  435. here in the front, Just keep it right in the front. Yeah,

  436. come on, come on, She said, I'm throwing it away.

  437. It's a done deal. It's a dune deal. Come on,

  438. put the cigarettes in there.

  439. It's a dun deal. Come on, put it in there.

  440. It's a y'all better you. This is where the church outs.

  441. This is where peliefers make a decision.

  442. This is where we say not, I'm not good, dave

  443. Ene mean you're under my feet. Yep, yep, yep.

  444. There's more people coming. You might as well believe with

  445. them and shout with them. He said, I'm not gonna

  446. let my life be destroyed by ovate.

  447. Hey, listen, there's about.

  448. Ten people that came right now this past week. People

  449. came and gave weed peels. They came and gave alcohol.

  450. They came and laid down jerseys, items, witchcraft. There's a

  451. whole skeleton. Somebody came, y'all, don't hear me, and they

  452. threw it.

  453. They said, no longer will I be distracted.

  454. If you got anything that you need to write down,

  455. you can write that name. Come on, sins, write it down,

  456. rip it up, tell them it's over. It's a done deal.

  457. Glory to God. Y'all better shout with her. All right.

  458. So now I need you to understand that there's power

  459. in your decision. Okay, you want deliverance. Deliverance starts with

  460. a decision. And so now I want you to understand

  461. because decision people focus on the action of the decision,

  462. the outcome of the decision, the outward manifestation of the decision.

  463. But I want you to understand and dissect a decision

  464. so that you can understand the power that you have.

  465. Okay, and write this point down.

  466. The power of a decision is in the process of

  467. your decision.

  468. No decision just happens.

  469. There's a decision that everybody sees, but there was a

  470. process that nobody sees except you.

  471. And most time we were like, I just did it.

  472. No you didn't. It just happened. No, it didn't. I

  473. was there and then I was here.

  474. I want to give you, I want to expose the enemy.

  475. I want to give you revelation revealed you if I

  476. want to pull the cover back on how you can

  477. actually capture and understand where you are in your decision

  478. making process so you can then fix your eyes on Jesus.

  479. So watch this.

  480. The process of a decision, it's three parts. Its first heart,

  481. then its head, then it's hands. Every decision you make

  482. first starts in your heart, then it percolates up in

  483. your head, and then it comes out in your hands.

  484. So when you're making a decision, the first time you

  485. thought they was fine. That dropped in y'all heart. You

  486. didn't just go in to him and start French kissing.

  487. What it did? It started in your heart.

  488. Look at that God bless he did, didn't he? And

  489. then when you get lonely and you on.

  490. Instagram and they have a wife or a husband, but

  491. you're still looking you still, you start replacing the pictures

  492. in your head. And then two weeks later they give

  493. you a hug and he was like, oh my god,

  494. why did they hug me? Like excuse me, sir, And

  495. they're not even thinking anything about it. It's like, man, oh,

  496. thank you so much opening the door for me. But

  497. in your head, I'm married. No, I'm trying to tell

  498. you how stuff happens. I'm being extreme, but I'm being serious.

  499. And it can percolate and ruminate in your head for minutes, seconds,

  500. or decades. So sometimes it doesn't take oh yeah, no, no, no.

  501. That seed was planted in your heart years ago, and

  502. many times it won't even come out around the people

  503. it was planted with. Many times the seed gets planted

  504. in one season, and because we don't pluck it out

  505. of our heart, it goes to our thoughts and every

  506. season and every time, and we just start thinking about it,

  507. and eventually, when the circumstances become either desperate enough or

  508. secret enough, it comes out in an action. So what

  509. I want you to identify is where is the distraction

  510. in process?

  511. Right now? Is the distraction just in your heart?

  512. Because you can come up here and praise, you can

  513. lead us in worship, you can prophesies and nobody will

  514. see it.

  515. The distraction that is getting roots in your heart right now?

  516. Some of y'all need to pluck y'all need to get

  517. y'all hole and not whole like some of y'all need

  518. to pluck them holes.

  519. You need to get them out of your heart.

  520. Sometimes the Lord needs to say it the way you

  521. need to eat. Rick I was gonna say a hole

  522. in a seven, but gardening to those guys, okay.

  523. But it hit somebody's heart.

  524. Somebody was like, my God, it's time to go gardening.

  525. There's some of y'all, there's things been planted.

  526. In your heart. I'm never gonna treat my kids like that.

  527. And that thing has been planted in your heart so long,

  528. and you don't know what type of kids you're gonna

  529. have and you don't know what type of situation it is.

  530. And because the seeds of discontentment and punishment are in there,

  531. because it's what you experience. And you never brought that

  532. thing to the Lord and actually give it to him

  533. and allow him to change you from the inside out.

  534. It's still got a hit of resentment and anger and

  535. frustration and damage on it.

  536. And so when it grows.

  537. And your kids come out and you said, I'll beat you,

  538. I ain't doing yet, but I'm thinking about it.

  539. And at one time, I'm just trying to show you

  540. if you don't catch it and take captive.

  541. Thought, every vein imagination that would exalt itself against the

  542. knowledge of.

  543. Who God has created you to be. So where's your

  544. distraction right now? Is it in your heart? Is it

  545. in your head?

  546. Or is it already in your head? A parenting thought

  547. is that every great parent knows it's more important that

  548. you understand why your kid did it.

  549. Than what they did. The reason being is.

  550. Because if you can locate why they made the decision,

  551. you can potentially flip and turn this thing into something

  552. that actually changes their destiny. But many times, because we

  553. haven't dealt with our own situation, we just focus.

  554. On what they did.

  555. And we're dealing with the decision and we're not talking about.

  556. The heart, posture, the thinking, and then the action.

  557. So today I'm just asking you where's the distraction. Is

  558. it internal and then does it go to your intellect

  559. and then become an interaction? Write this down as a

  560. point we're about to go home. Addressing the action will

  561. change your day, but dissecting the reason for the decision

  562. will change your destiny if we just addressed what the

  563. end result was. That's why a lot of times when

  564. people come to church, they're like almost centered.

  565. We all are, but not like me. I've done the

  566. wrong things. Yeah, we've done it too. I need to

  567. be changed by God. That's happening all the time. But

  568. the reason many people revisit the same car.

  569. Crash is because they never go and deal with the

  570. thing that's in their heart that keeps growing up. I'm

  571. at this same scene all the time, and it's it

  572. is my decision. I chose to do that. I chose

  573. to do that. I chose to do that, And everybody's like,

  574. don't do that. We're gonna pray and rebut that spirit,

  575. we're gonna no stop. Look at me, what's in your

  576. heart good that needs to actually actually be dealt with

  577. because you keep making the same decision.

  578. You keep making the same decision. But is it.

  579. Insecurity that was planted there at thirteen when you tried

  580. to do something and people laughed at you, and so

  581. you decided I'll never be laughed at again. And you

  582. found out that you had this one gifting talent, and

  583. so you've trunk back everything else God wanted to do

  584. in your life because you was just gonna give them.

  585. We need to go to that, everybody say route, and

  586. if we can get a hold of your decision, we

  587. can get a hold of your destiny.

  588. So today, in the intro.

  589. Of this message, we set our frame as Jesus, fixing

  590. our eyes on, fixing our focus on Jesus. Our foundation

  591. for the next seven weeks is gonna be Hebrew twelve.

  592. So I want you to know that we're fixing our focus.

  593. But we're going to just for a case study. This

  594. is where I'm gonna leave you. I'm gonna introduce you

  595. to our case study for today and we're gonna pick

  596. up in this story next week. But I just I

  597. need to leave you with this one thing to go

  598. to the Book of Judges, and we're gonna talk about

  599. this character named Samson, a man who is known for

  600. his relationship with distraction. Distraction cost him everything, even after

  601. God placed his hand anointing an approval.

  602. What does that mean?

  603. You can be called and distracted, You can move in

  604. the mighty power of God and be distracted.

  605. And anytime I say the name Samson, what's the other

  606. name that goes with it? What's the other name? Today?

  607. I came to be a lawyer for Delilah.

  608. Today, I would like to present to the jury.

  609. That Sampson had issues before she came into the picture.

  610. I would like to submit to the court the title

  611. of my message.

  612. Y'all get ready, the decision before Delilah. What if I

  613. told you that Sampson's distraction and his known destruction was

  614. the culmination of years of making poor decisions. What if

  615. I tell you that your life is not just that

  616. one job you didn't see your worth not giving you

  617. a promotion. What if it's not just this big cataclysmic failure.

  618. What if our distractions were actually wrapped up in small, daily,

  619. micro decisions. Next week, I'm gonna start taking you through

  620. Samson's story because I believe there's revelation in how we

  621. have to guard ourselves from things that feel familiar, because

  622. the faith to focus actually comes from us not becoming

  623. familiar with things that God said are nowhere a part

  624. of our destiny. Let me give you just one thing

  625. about him. See, Samson's mom was not able to have kids.

  626. She was barren, and she was praying, and the Angel

  627. of the Lord came to her.

  628. Ooh, this story gonna be so good for you.

  629. Understand how to put death to your distraction and what

  630. happens if you don't.

  631. So she prayed to God the Angel.

  632. Of the Lord, the Bible says, and judges came to her.

  633. Judges thirteen, if you want to study up. He came

  634. to her and said, you're gonna have a child, but

  635. we need to make a deal.

  636. This child belongs to God. This child is gonna have.

  637. Super strength, but he has to take the Nazarite vow.

  638. And she said, whatever you want to do, She said,

  639. tell this baby that it can have no contact with

  640. strong drink, nothing from a great no raisins, no alcohol,

  641. no wine, because that's how it was fermented back then.

  642. It can have no unclean thing to eat.

  643. Which would have been poorn back in the day. So

  644. no alcohol, no bacon. Okay, So some of y'all struggling

  645. right there. Nobody can, Oh, my God, but bacon on everything. Okay,

  646. No alcohol, no bacon. No contact with any dead thing.

  647. No contact.

  648. Boy that can preach just by itself. Why you keep

  649. touching it? It's dead.

  650. Some of y'all keep calling what's dead. Some of y'all

  651. keep believing for what is dead? This Na's wife. I'll

  652. touch no dead thing. And the last thing is, don't

  653. cut his hair. And this young man has an encounter

  654. several times with distraction and makes the wrong decision before Delilah,

  655. way before he ever met the thing that would take

  656. him down, he already decided he wasn't gonna withstand and

  657. take the way of escape. The reason I have to

  658. bring this up is because when God gave him the

  659. Nazarite vow, the same way that God asks many of

  660. you don't watch that, don't go there, don't talk to them.

  661. Turn your bedtime. It's bedtime. It's bedtime for you. Some

  662. of y'all this is prophetic. It's bedtime. It's eight forty five.

  663. I'm a grown person. Nine point thirty, you turned into

  664. a different person. It's bedtime, y'all. Hear what I'm saying.

  665. It's bedtime for you. The reason why God many times

  666. puts boundaries on things it is because he's trying to

  667. make you holy. And I don't want you to think holy,

  668. holy holy. That word means set apart. He said, I've

  669. called you for something, like he called Samson for something,

  670. and he's saying, I need you to do these things

  671. that do not seem familiar to everybody else, but it's

  672. the thing that I'm hiding your power within.

  673. So I need you to be set apart. So we

  674. might not be at that, and we.

  675. Might not go to that, and we might not talk

  676. about that, and we might not eat that, and we

  677. might not.

  678. Be doing what y'all doing because I am.

  679. Set, and because God was trying to set him apart

  680. the way I believe He's trying to set many of

  681. you apart in this year of twenty twenty five.

  682. That's why he made the word of the year. What

  683. facus focus on what I'm saying.

  684. Forget what the economy is doing, forget what TikTok is doing,

  685. forget what all of this stuff.

  686. Focus on what I'm saying.

  687. The reason why you have to understand this is important

  688. because God always hides blessings inside of boundaries. God always

  689. puts blessings.

  690. Inside of boundaries.

  691. As I end today, I want to tell you a

  692. story about young Michael Todd in high school when God

  693. set a boundary around my life in in Edison High School.

  694. And I was in Edison High School in my ninth

  695. grade year and the Holy Spirit told me that I

  696. needed to stop eating meat at lunchtime in my school.

  697. And this was the year they started serving Mazio pizza

  698. at my school.

  699. I was fat back then and very hungry. I'm just

  700. telling you a real story.

  701. And I remember telling my mom and a couple of

  702. other people, you remember this, Mom, And and I just

  703. I just said, I know, I'm not supposed to. I

  704. just feel like God's telling me. It wasn't a youth

  705. group thing.

  706. It was. It wasn't a call from the church. I

  707. was in ninth grade.

  708. And the Holy Spirit said you need to stop eating

  709. meat at lunch. He was trying to do something in

  710. my heart. Literally, for the entire ninth grade year, all

  711. I ate for lunch was French fries. Now there were

  712. mounds of French fries. I want you to know that

  713. I wasn't hungry.

  714. French fries, rans, cheese, ketchup.

  715. People would just come and dum't they fries on my

  716. plate like it was a blessing. But at the same time,

  717. I wasn't losing calories. I was being set apart for

  718. my calling. He was trying to see in an environment

  719. where nobody in my school was fasted, nobody.

  720. There was nobody do it.

  721. And God said, would you do what is unusual to

  722. live a life that is unusual?

  723. Will you give up the distraction.

  724. Of what everybody else is doing to obey what I'm asking.

  725. You to do.

  726. And I'm telling you I can't tell you when it

  727. happened what happened, because I did a lot of stupid

  728. stuff even after fasting. But I'm telling you a process

  729. started in me of sanctification.

  730. Where God was making me.

  731. Into his image because I decided I was going to

  732. try to be focused on him.

  733. And when I look.

  734. At the thought of Samson doing what God asked him

  735. to do, he was giving him boundaries because he wanted

  736. to protect a blessing for him. If you could stop

  737. looking at the boundaries that God's given you as some

  738. type of shackle and you actually look at.

  739. It as protection.

  740. It would change the way that you view how God

  741. is trying to set you apart. Everybody's standing all over

  742. this place. Next week, I'm gonna preach a message called

  743. every No, I'm not.

  744. Gonna tell you the title.

  745. Yeah, just come back to the next week because i

  746. want to want to preach it. But I'm telling you

  747. it's gonna change your life. This doorway is gonna make

  748. sense next week because I'm gonna give you the ability

  749. to take ownership of your decisions. Thank you Lord, that

  750. today is the beginning of us putting death to our distractions.

  751. But our distractions have been our decision. So today or asking.

  752. You to help us change our decisions, would you lift

  753. your hands all over this place. God, there is a

  754. bunch of people with different distractions. Me included that today

  755. you have given me power by your Holy Spirit to

  756. make a different decision. Thank you Father God, that a

  757. decision can get me into it and a decision can

  758. get me out of it. Fixing our focus on Jesus today, Father,

  759. where my focus has not been you, would you show

  760. me how to lay down on the altar my distractions

  761. and not just kill them metaphorically, but actually sacrifice.

  762. Them to you.

  763. Whether that means I got to change my number, whether

  764. that means I got to delete apps, whether that means

  765. I have to have a hard conversation, I have to

  766. schedule therapy, whether that means, Father God, I have to

  767. literally work somewhere else. God, I'm asking you, let this

  768. be the year, the month, the week, the day that

  769. that distraction no longer leads me to destruction. I pray,

  770. Father God, that we would stop blaming the Delilahs in

  771. our life when it's been our decisions.

  772. Father, your word says you give us.

  773. Both the desire and the power to do what pleases you.

  774. So thank you Father, that that scripture comes alive on

  775. the inside of every one of your children.

  776. Today, and that you give us the authority as well.

  777. Father God, as a courage to be like these people

  778. who came and gave up things that represented weights that

  779. so easily would deter us and distract us. Today, God,

  780. we are fixing our eyes, fixing our focus on you.

  781. God. I look to you, I won't be overwhelmed. Give

  782. me vision to see things like you do. God, I

  783. look to you. Sure where My hell comes.

  784. From give me Wizdom. You know just what to do.

  785. If you're under the sound of my voice and you've

  786. never accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and savior. Whether

  787. you're in this room, you're watching at home, you're currently incarcerated,

  788. you're watching this on rebroadcast. I believe the Holy Spirit

  789. has been drawing you to this moment right here. If

  790. you're in this room, I need you to begin to

  791. pray because people's eternities and lives are on the line

  792. by one decision. You know how powerful a decision is.

  793. We come to faith by a decision. All of our

  794. eternity is secured by a decision. And today I'm so

  795. proud of you, says today. You can make a decision

  796. if you want to make Jesus Christ your personal.

  797. Lord and savior.

  798. Whether you're in this room or you're watching online. On

  799. the counter of three, I just want you to lift

  800. your hands. As people are surrendering things, they said.

  801. I'm not walking out of here with this distraction.

  802. You can do the same thing, but you gotta let

  803. it start.

  804. In your heart.

  805. The action is great, the thoughts are great, but let God.

  806. Take over your heart. He's the only one that if

  807. you give him your heart, he'll help you change your habits.

  808. Today you've come to the right place, the Hospital for Humanity,

  809. and today.

  810. I want you to give your life to Jesus.

  811. One, you're making the greatest decision of your life. Number two,

  812. your name, your eternity is gonna be secured. You're gonna

  813. have your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life. Three,

  814. lift your hands if you want to give your life

  815. to Jesus.

  816. All over this place and in the room, I see

  817. you in the back.

  818. I see you. I see you right there. Anybody else,

  819. come on, I see you brother. If it's just for you,

  820. I see you, sister. Listen, I see you right there.

  821. There are hands up. And if you're watching online, just

  822. put your hand up in the chat today.

  823. If it's one person, which there.

  824. Were several in this room that are making a somebody

  825. say decision.

  826. Today, God's going to transform your life.

  827. At Transformation Church, nobody prays along.

  828. We are family.

  829. So would you just lift your hands and say God,

  830. thank you for sending Jesus just for me today. I

  831. admit I'm a sinner and I need you to be

  832. my savior. I believe you lived you died and you

  833. rose again just for me. Here's my life. Take over,

  834. use me, renew me, transform me. I'm yours in Jesus' name.

  835. Amen.

  836. Hey, can we celebrate all over this place? Oh?

  837. Come on, y'all.

  838. This is the decision that changes everything.
