  1. Welcome to Transformation Church podcast, where we represent God to

  2. the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so

  3. glad you're here and wherever you're listening from, we believe

  4. God will transform your life. Do today's message.

  5. Get your Bibles out, get your notepads out, smartphones, dumb phones,

  6. every phone is welcome here. We have been in a

  7. series for five weeks now, and the title of this

  8. series may be paramount, something that you need to go

  9. back and watch every month this.

  10. Week because the whole purpose.

  11. Of this series is to help you figure out how

  12. to put death.

  13. To your distractions.

  14. And the truth of the matter is, I've been talking

  15. to some people and pulling them of what they're getting

  16. out of the message, and.

  17. It's so crazy that there are several people.

  18. That have been around God long enough to think that

  19. they don't need to zone in on what God's saying

  20. to them about their distractions.

  21. I have kept hearing.

  22. How it's such a good series for people who are

  23. distracted as if, and I'm talking about some of my staff,

  24. some people that came in town like, oh my.

  25. God, this is for those who are distracted. Hold on.

  26. For those who are distracted, you know, for people who

  27. deal and struggle and those type of cycles.

  28. Do you know what pride will do. It will hinder

  29. you from hearing God. And I just want to before we.

  30. Go into this heat that's about to come here, I

  31. don't want you to miss it because your pride makes

  32. you deaf hear what I'm saying, spiritually not able to hear.

  33. What God is trying to say.

  34. Somebody say to me, So from now on, I do

  35. not want you to think at all how anybody else's distractions.

  36. Need to be changed through the word of God.

  37. I only want you to think about the distractions that

  38. have been keeping you from stepping fully into what God

  39. has caused you to do. The distractions watch that you

  40. have become so familiar with that you actually don't consider

  41. them distractions anymore.

  42. Yeah, I need you to be aware.

  43. That certain things that you have deemed a part of

  44. you are actually things that are keeping you from purpose. Today,

  45. I want to tell you, scream to you, be your

  46. alarm clock.

  47. Focus focus on God, Focus on Jesus, Focus on his word,

  48. focus on the instructions.

  49. He gave you. Every thing else should be second. Is

  50. it true? Plain?

  51. Because the truth of the matter is there's a part

  52. of me that desires to impress you and say it

  53. in a brand new way so.

  54. That it's like, oh, oh, that's deep. I can't because

  55. it's so simple. Focus.

  56. What happened to the thing God told you to do

  57. during twenty one days of prayer?

  58. We're only three weeks away from when it ended? With

  59. three weeks.

  60. Post twenty one days of prayer, fasting, you've gone back

  61. on You've undone everything you did in twenty one days.

  62. In three weeks? How lack of.

  63. How did we get from where we knew God spoke

  64. to us ten years ago to go into ministry and

  65. go to this school and do what God told us

  66. to do to now being like, I don't even know

  67. what God's saying.

  68. I don't even know if he hears me.

  69. I'm talking about real things that I'm listening and watching

  70. people somebody locked in when they're here in church, goes

  71. off to school, don't even look like the same person

  72. six months later.

  73. How does that happen?

  74. It's a lack, a loss or a distortion of focus.

  75. And many of us watch.

  76. This have lost our focus for so long it's become

  77. a perspective.

  78. You're not trying to focus anymore. This is just your perspective.

  79. My perspective is that all people gonna do me wrong.

  80. Because I didn't focus on mending that one relationship that

  81. really had a tie to my heart. I never really

  82. forgave them, I never really walked away from that.

  83. I never did the counseling that I needed to do.

  84. So now people are gonna do me wrong. Come on, y'all,

  85. I'm telling you, if you don't focus, watch and fix

  86. the things that God tells us in.

  87. His word are important.

  88. We will turn something that we have not focused on

  89. intensely into a perspective about a whole group situation genre

  90. all these things. God said, could you let me come

  91. here and fix your focus?

  92. How do we do that?

  93. Pastor Mike, I'm glad you asked, because Hebrews twelve one,

  94. our scripture of the year, says, Therefore, since we are

  95. surrounded by such a huge croud of witnesses to this

  96. life of fake, somebody say I live a life of faith,

  97. say it like you mean it, life of faith. I

  98. live a life of faith. I live a life of faith.

  99. No matter what I see, I live a life of faith.

  100. My faith will affect my life, my sath, my.

  101. Prayer, my giving, my encouragement.

  102. I live a life of faith.

  103. Some of y'all need to say it.

  104. By faith. I live a life of faith. I don't

  105. know where I'm gonna live next year. I don't know

  106. what's gonna happen down the road, but I live a

  107. life of what say, I'm trying to inspire somebody to

  108. stop living a life of fear, a life of failure.

  109. When if you categorize your years by the failures that happened, Oh,

  110. that's the year I lost such and such, and that's

  111. the year that I didn't make it into this, and

  112. that's the year they.

  113. Left for me. And now you need to flip it.

  114. That's the year that God let me survive that. That's

  115. the year that God changed my perspective on that. It's

  116. not that it didn't happen, but that's the year that

  117. God made me in the something I wasn't.

  118. That's the year I found out that I was built

  119. like a dog. That's to hear, y'all gotta hear what

  120. I'm saying. I live by.

  121. Okay, So since I lived by faith, somebody say I

  122. live by faith.

  123. Some of y'all need to say that.

  124. Every day you wake up thank you Lord for another day.

  125. And today I'm gonna live by faith. Okay, So since

  126. I lived by faith, I gotta undress some of this

  127. stuff that tried to get on me. I know, culture

  128. tried to tell me to put on this weight, my

  129. family told me to put on this weight. I know

  130. everybody's been trying to tell me to put on depressing

  131. and anxiety and do all.

  132. Of this other stuff.

  133. But since I lived by faith, let us strip off

  134. every way that slows us down, especially.

  135. The sin that so easily trips usself.

  136. Because the real reason I got to strip off the

  137. WAI is because I got a race to run, and

  138. I'm gonna run it with endurance. Not the race that

  139. culture tells me to run, not the race that my

  140. family laid out for me, not the race watched this

  141. that I even laid.

  142. Out for myself. This is where a lot of disappointment comes.

  143. It's because you lay out somebody told you were beautiful

  144. and you were tall, and so you should be a model,

  145. and then somebody else like you should be a model,

  146. and then somebody else, and you posed in the mirror

  147. and you did a little thing, and you didn't and

  148. you was like I do look like a model. No,

  149. I'm just saying, I'm giving a very simple example of

  150. how it happens. You get a couple of people to

  151. confirm what they see in you. You never consulted what

  152. God made you for. And now your disappointment. Fifteen years

  153. in living in New York trying to be a model,

  154. and the only thing you've done is walk up at

  155. Madison Avenue looking at things in stories you could not buy?

  156. Why don't?

  157. And now you are disdained, frustrated, faith lost in God

  158. because that's not the race. I mean, take some pictures,

  159. but that's not the race. I mean walking to your

  160. friends show, but that's not the race. I mean, model,

  161. do do it, but it won't fulfill you, because I'm

  162. not saying you can't do it, but just make sure

  163. after you ran that practice round that don't count, still

  164. have energy to run your race. So many people are

  165. tired because they are running races that are.

  166. Not actually qualified.

  167. And right now, I'm just saying that sometimes that's where

  168. distractions come from. Is us running the wrong race? He says,

  169. He says, I want you to do this and run

  170. your race that God has set before you.

  171. Verse two.

  172. And the only way We can do this by keeping

  173. our eyes on Jesus.

  174. Somebody shot at me. Focus the only way I can

  175. do this.

  176. With everything changing with a new trend, another reason to

  177. be canceled another while everything going.

  178. On, the only way I can do what I'm.

  179. Supposed to do on this earth is focus on Jesus,

  180. the champion who initiated. That means he started it and

  181. perfects it. That means he's gonna keep doing it until

  182. it's right.

  183. He initiated it in me and perfects our faith. Hold on.

  184. The only reason that I'm here is because I live

  185. a life of faith. Then God is the one who

  186. initiates and perfects my faith.

  187. And he's gonna say the reason I can do this.

  188. Is because I got proof because of the joy awaiting him. Jesus,

  189. he endured the cross, disregarding it shame.

  190. Now he rested, popped up in a lazy boy.

  191. Not working, not moving, not trying to still do something

  192. on earth.

  193. That's the Holy.

  194. Spirits job, now, he said, when he said it is finished,

  195. he did. He is sitting there at the place of honor.

  196. Besides God's thrown somebody shot at me one more time. Focus.

  197. The only reason that I'm spending so much time trying

  198. to help you understand the value of focus is because

  199. we give so much energy to our distractions that many

  200. times we don't remember the focus.

  201. Have you ever tried to stop doing things so much

  202. that you forgot what you were supposed to be doing.

  203. Have you ever walked into the kitchen.

  204. And was like, I gotta I gotta get some I

  205. gotta get something to drink. I gotta get some drink. No, no,

  206. don't talk to me, don't talk to me. I'm getting

  207. something to drink. And then you stand at the refrigerator

  208. and then it's not until you're getting different in.

  209. It's awesome. Then you go back.

  210. Distraction, distraction, distraction, and you're trying to block out all

  211. the distraction, and many times the fight against the distraction

  212. makes us forget to focus.

  213. So today I'm gonna.

  214. Help you because the word has helped me remember to

  215. eliminate a distraction that's probably plaguing all of us in

  216. some way or another. And so I begin to think, like,

  217. all right, Lord, how am I supposed to help these people?

  218. Because I've been telling him about Samson Samsa got his

  219. hair cut off last week. I need to finish the

  220. story because my man, Delilah, she up there just swooning

  221. my man and she must got that uhi wali wally

  222. because what's happening is like.

  223. Why is this man going through all of this stuff

  224. and all that. No, I'm just this is me thinking.

  225. Just stay with me and my thoughts. And I'm like,

  226. why are you gonna do that?

  227. He don't let her cut off his hair, he loses

  228. the problems all this other stuff. He said, Michael, come

  229. out of the story for a second and let them

  230. see the distraction from another person's standpoint.

  231. And I said, okay, God, what you want me to do?

  232. He said, I want you.

  233. I want you to go about three or four chapters

  234. later in the first Samuel, and I want you to

  235. find my man over there.

  236. And I said your man.

  237. He said, yeah, yeah, I want you to I want

  238. you to find my man David.

  239. And I was like, I was like, oh, I know,

  240. I don't know. That's Shiva and David. He said, uh uh,

  241. cause that was a distraction, right, He was like, yeah,

  242. but that was later. I want you to find out

  243. where David entered into the story. And this is what

  244. the Holy Spirit said, And why why do we meet David.

  245. He's most people's favorite Bible character.

  246. The name David was the most popular in eighteen ninety nine.

  247. Everybody name it is, no not eighteen nine, nineteen eighty nine.

  248. The name David is everywhere. Everybody cousin named David. Your

  249. middle name is David. How many Davids we got in

  250. the room right now? Middle, first or last name? I

  251. saw you. You definitely look like a David. And what

  252. I'm saying. What I'm saying is we love David, but

  253. David wasn't always loved. And today I want to teach

  254. you something that I've never seen before that I think

  255. a lot of believers are doing, and I want to.

  256. Help us reverse it.

  257. But first, I think it would be easier to show

  258. you what I'm talking about than tell you.

  259. So let me put this over here. How many people

  260. drink dark drinks? Come on Coca Cola, doctor pepper, come

  261. on root beer. Something is wrong with y'all insights.

  262. Y'all know, y'all can put whatever this is on your

  263. car battery and.

  264. The asset in the mind. That's not my message.

  265. But you put this into you, okay. Inherently having a

  266. cup of this is not bad. How many people have

  267. ever met somebody wear their breath stinks?

  268. It is it's a sin.

  269. And how many people have ever used a Mento's to

  270. neutralize Satan's.

  271. Dragon breath? Okay, let's leave it up there.

  272. There's nothing wrong with a mento's. A Mento's honestly is

  273. good in many situations. There's nothing inherently wrong with your

  274. dark drink of choice and moderation.

  275. Okay, But if I take the top off of this.

  276. And I decide to take these little things that aren't

  277. supposed to be with this thing, and I decide.

  278. Ooh, ooh oh.

  279. Something that was neutral becomes nuclear when it comes in

  280. contact with the wrong thing. Why did it overflow at

  281. just the contact?

  282. Neither one of the things were bad. This is a

  283. picture of what I'm about to show. You write this

  284. point down. That did seem evil? Didn't it fractured focus?

  285. Turn something neutral into something nuclear? Passor Mike, explain yourself.

  286. There is nothing wrong inherently with the Internet. The Internet

  287. is neutral. It's what websites you type in that makes

  288. it nuclear. Money is not inherently bad. Money's neutral. It

  289. turns nuclear depending on whose hands it's in.

  290. I just want you to think about.

  291. The things in your life that are okay.

  292. Until they get into the wrong people's hands. Relationships neutral.

  293. Until they get into an abusive person's hands. Nuclear power,

  294. we've made power so bad. Power is not bad in

  295. somebody's hands that.

  296. Has the heart of God.

  297. Power is devastating in the hands of somebody that is

  298. only trying to look out for themselves. A title is

  299. not bad. It's neutral. Everybody say a title is neutral,

  300. but some people use the title to turn people.

  301. Into things that are this.

  302. Small pastor Mike, why are you telling us this today?

  303. I'm trying to give you an example of where we

  304. usually put our focus.

  305. We put it on the thing and not the person

  306. holding the thing. You missed it.

  307. A platform is neutral, it's who stands on it and

  308. how they use it. It's where it can become nuclear.

  309. A promotion is neutral. What are you trying to stay?

  310. Watch this?

  311. All content is either messed or it's either a mess

  312. or multiply by the hand that holds it and the heart.

  313. That controls it. Anything you have.

  314. Is neutral until it gets into the hands of somebody

  315. with a bad heart, a greedy heart, a heart that

  316. does not want to see God's will be done. And

  317. the reason I'm bringing this is because too many people

  318. focus on the thing and not the person who's holding

  319. the thing. I can tell you so many stories that

  320. I was warned in church against things.

  321. But stay away from that.

  322. The problem was is that the person who was telling

  323. me to stay away from it had already had evil

  324. in their heart towards that thing. They had experienced that

  325. thing in a way that they didn't tell me that

  326. they had an issue with that thing. So they tried

  327. to make it something for everybody to stay away from

  328. because it was their issue.

  329. Now, I grew up not being able to.

  330. Understand certain things because I was told stay away from it.

  331. But I had.

  332. To realize in my maturity with Christ is that there

  333. are many things that people will stay away from because

  334. they think it's bad. Social media is not bad. It's

  335. neutral until you get in them comments.

  336. And sliding them dms. It was new.

  337. Yeah, it was neutral before your curiosity, Yeah, before your

  338. deceit secrets taser. Mike Brow, are you bringing this up?

  339. Because I gotta set the table for the distraction that

  340. has been killing many of us, and we're gonna find

  341. it here. In First Samuel eighteen five through nine, it

  342. took me fifteen minutes just to get you to see

  343. that the thing may not be bad that's around you.

  344. It may be how you're viewing that thing. First Samuel,

  345. Chapter eighteen, verse five. Whatever Saul asked David to do,

  346. David did it successfully. So Saul made him a commander

  347. over the men of war. Who made David a commander,

  348. Who made him a commander, I just want you to

  349. stay with me.

  350. He made him a commander over the men of.

  351. War and appointed an appointment that was welcomed by the

  352. people and Saul's officers alike.

  353. Take note.

  354. When the victorious Israelite army was returning home after David

  355. had killed the Philistines, women from all the other towns

  356. of Israel came out to meet King Saul, and they

  357. dance for joy with tambourines and cymbals, and this was

  358. their song. Saul has killed his thousands and David his

  359. ten thousand. This triggered Saul. This made Saul very angry.

  360. What's this.

  361. Y'all gonna credit David with ten thousand and me only thousands?

  362. Next they'll make him their king.

  363. Point.

  364. So from that time on, Saul kept a jealous eye

  365. on David today, I want to expose the distraction of comparison.

  366. David was not Saul's problem. Saul was Saul's problem.

  367. The title of my message is a distraction named David,

  368. because all of us, somewhere in our life, has turned

  369. something neutral to nuclear because of.

  370. Our own issues.

  371. That was never supposed to be a distraction from me,

  372. and I made it one that was never supposed to

  373. be an issue for me. And I made it one

  374. that was never supposed to be a problem for me

  375. to go into that store, or be around those people,

  376. or eat dinner at this place. But because I put

  377. my focus on the wrong thing, I ate a distraction

  378. that was actually supposed to be something that helped me. Okay,

  379. some of y'all don't know the story, so I have

  380. to go back and tell a little bit of it.

  381. The problem with this is that David was sent by

  382. God to torment all the things that were tormenting Saul.

  383. Saul had done some things to get out of right

  384. standing with God. We're gonna talk about him in just

  385. a moment. So he now was able not able to sleep,

  386. He had insomnia. Things were going on. He says, is

  387. there anybody? First, Even before he.

  388. Was having insomnia.

  389. There was a philistine giant Taunt in his whole army.

  390. None of his boys would fight him.

  391. David comes along, kills his greatest enemy. Now comes to

  392. a place where everybody like yo, Jesse boy, Yeah, yeah, yeah.

  393. He was fine with that. Then he was getting tormented.

  394. He said, can.

  395. Anybody play the same? Dude who killed Joe? Giant plays

  396. a mean guitar.

  397. He begins to play his liar, and the evil spirits

  398. go away.

  399. The Bible tells.

  400. Us, hold on, he done killed two giants in this

  401. king's life, and.

  402. Up until this point he good.

  403. But it was after watch he put him in a position.

  404. David did not position himself. After Saul put him in

  405. a position, he goes and wins more victories.

  406. Now watch this give me more context. Oh my god,

  407. Saul is the first king of Israel. He has no

  408. one to be compared to.

  409. Abstraction of comparison is illegitimate because.

  410. He only made one of you.

  411. Oh my god, he only made one of you.

  412. You're out here.

  413. Comparing your eyes and your shafe and your status to

  414. everybody else, and they cannot be compared because you're only

  415. one of one. Saul is out here with nobody to

  416. not a king.

  417. Ever, yet.

  418. His kingdom is expanding, His giants are being fought without

  419. his hands. He is in a place where everything that

  420. concerns his name is going to another level, and he

  421. puts his focus on the song of some women that

  422. he don't even know. Now you're saying it like it's.

  423. Like, oh, yeah, that's so crazy.

  424. But have you ever been in a place in your

  425. life where things are actually good, where you felt good

  426. about the staycation you had until you went on Instagram

  427. and you saw that somebody went to Dubai on a wheel.

  428. Y'all know what I'm talking about, social media influencer.

  429. Somebody just paid for me to go to the Rits

  430. calling in Dubai and you.

  431. Was good, what your courtyard stay? You just told somebody,

  432. You just told somebody how refreshed you were, and I

  433. needed that and I had a long time. I got

  434. to catch up on my series and he was like, yeah, I.

  435. Know, I'm not gonna post that. And then.

  436. To Loon, where the heck is Salon had nothing to

  437. be compared to. But as soon as you put yourself

  438. in a place, the distraction of comparison took your joy,

  439. took your peace took.

  440. It took your contentment.

  441. And I'm just coming today to ask you, are there

  442. things in your life that were never meant to be

  443. a distraction but they are now because you have embraced comparison.

  444. Saul listened to a song that made him sacrifice everything.

  445. One song, one song by people who weren't in his

  446. inner circle, one song not from his core, one song

  447. from the crowd. One song made him sacrifice everything. If

  448. you go on to read it, Saul spends the rest

  449. of his life attacking the thing sent to attack the

  450. things sent to attack him.

  451. Run it back, it'll make sense. He spends the rest

  452. of his life attacking David, the thing that was sent

  453. to attack the things goliaths, Philistine's.

  454. That he was trying to attack him. He used all

  455. his energy, all his effort, all his power on a

  456. distraction that was actually supposed to make him better. Okay,

  457. the reason I'm bringing this up is because when most

  458. of us get triggered, we focus on the wrong thing too.

  459. Did y'all hear when he got triggered?

  460. He heard them singing this so and he didn't think,

  461. oh my.

  462. God, this is what perspective is so key. He didn't

  463. think I'm a good leader. Yeah, yeah, David, he did

  464. ten thousands, that's all, did thousands. That's about of thousands.

  465. I don't know how many thousands it is, but we're

  466. in the thousands.

  467. Because the kingdom was not.

  468. Credited to David, the only king with no one to

  469. compare himself to, so any credit.

  470. Still gets counted for Saul. But his insecurity I got

  471. goosebumps saying this. His insecurity took a song saying by

  472. somebody on their first time coming.

  473. Through, and all he did was focus on that. Y'all

  474. gonna bring all tambourines out here. That's what I said,

  475. is tambourines and you gonna sing this little who made

  476. the song?

  477. Who wrote it? Then? Can you give me? I want

  478. to show them what it sounded like. This is what

  479. it sounded like right here, Turn it up, Turn it up,

  480. DJ he coming into town.

  481. Song Kitsen tis the David two thousand, stalk killed two

  482. thousand David two thousand. They not like, uh, they not

  483. like y'all. Y'all say what I'm saying that like they

  484. not like uh, y'all.

  485. I'm just saying, think about it.

  486. Thousand David ten thousand song kill a thousand David in

  487. ten thousand.

  488. They not like Uh, Okay, you can say that, but

  489. I'm just I'm just saying culturally relevant. Saul sitting there,

  490. I'm gonna sue whoever made that song. What I'm saying is,

  491. what I'm saying is.

  492. Instead of thinking, instead of thinking, man, we did that,

  493. the chorus should have.

  494. Been they not like us. He should have been able to.

  495. I don't know what walking would have been.

  496. I would the g walk, they'd be Goliath. Okay, they

  497. should have been able to. They should have been able

  498. to sing the chorus. He should have been dapping them up.

  499. They not like uh, they not like us. They not

  500. like us.

  501. But because of comparison, all he heard is he's not

  502. like me. I'm the king. He's not like me. They

  503. didn't grow up in the family that I grew up there,

  504. He's not like. Why did they get that? Why is

  505. Michael Todd's ministry He's out. I'm just saying, we may.

  506. Be supposed to be teammates. We may be the answer

  507. to a prayer in the future that you need us

  508. to win.

  509. You need God to continue to bless this. You need,

  510. but you will turn the blessing that God wants to

  511. bring into your.

  512. Life into something that becomes a burden. You chase for

  513. them the rest of your life because you saw it.

  514. Through the lens of comparis. I know I'm Pretcian.

  515. Today, it's important for us as a church to realize

  516. that this is the enemy's covert way of desensitizing the

  517. body of Christ, because it's happening not from outside only,

  518. it's happening within. It's happening in the same city. It's

  519. happening down the street. It's happening. Let me tell Transformation

  520. Church something. Whenever somebody speaks of another church in this city,

  521. you speak well of them.

  522. Look at me.

  523. I don't care what they said about us. We are

  524. on the same team. It's kingdom here. It doesn't matter

  525. the insinuation. If somebody speaks negative about us, God bless somebody,

  526. because at the end of the day, God fights for us.

  527. Do you hear what I'm saying?

  528. And maybe we were trusted enough to be used a

  529. part of their growing process, But don't ever let me

  530. hear you say I'll mess with that church because shut up.

  531. Then if your heart has not grown to the place

  532. where you can bless people that you know, potentially don't

  533. share the same views as you.

  534. It exposes our lack of spiritual maturity. He said. The

  535. only way that the outside will know that your mind

  536. is because.

  537. For our love, our good words are encouraging words one

  538. to another. The enemy don't got to do nothing about that,

  539. because all you got to do is start comparing what

  540. they did versus what you did. With siblings and parents,

  541. y'all don't make it better. Don't ever say be more

  542. like your brother. That is that's lazy parenting number one.

  543. Okay, I'm gonna get in trouble.

  544. You should be more like your sister, But I'm not them,

  545. So it's lazy parenting to say because they have a

  546. propensity to do these type of things, that doesn't mean

  547. that I can't. I just may need to be motivated

  548. and courage corrected a different way. And if you think

  549. you're gonna copy and paste all the same parenting skills

  550. to all five of the kids, you needed to stop

  551. having us because this is the truth of the matter.

  552. You're being lazy right now.

  553. And I need something different than Gabriel. Gabriel needs something

  554. different than Raphael rapti'l needs something different than do y'all

  555. see what I'm saying. And many times, many times, we

  556. sow the seed of comparison into our own children.

  557. Why can't you, why can't you just.

  558. You?

  559. And then huh? And then to the oldest children.

  560. We put an unrealistic expectation on them.

  561. To be perfect.

  562. So as soon as you tell them, be the example,

  563. and now everybody's compared to you, they didn't start hiding

  564. from you because they never want to disappoint your expectation

  565. of them.

  566. This is too much, Okay, let me go back to

  567. the word. Let me just tell them what the Bible says. Jesus.

  568. All I'm saying is comparison.

  569. Is able to get into the households of believers, and

  570. we don't even credit the enemy with it. We just

  571. act like it's normal human behavior. I mean, I mean, yeah,

  572. their marriage looks great, y'all know we do that. But

  573. did you see how.

  574. It can't be? There's no way, And.

  575. Why couldn't you celebrate if it was? Why why couldn't

  576. it be? Man? I really, I really pray that everything

  577. that we see is actually man, that it's like that,

  578. from the.

  579. Root to the fruit. God, I bless that marriage. God. Man,

  580. how inspiring father. Just thank you.

  581. The problem with that is that takes humility to see

  582. other people's greatness and still be able to celebrate it

  583. when you're in a place where you don't feel that

  584. same level of accomplishment.

  585. Okay.

  586. And what I know right now is comparison is killing Christians.

  587. It's killing y'all. And it's not new.

  588. It's all the way back when Saul, the first king

  589. of Israel, comes in contact with one person who gets

  590. a song made up about him.

  591. What song.

  592. Have you accepted as truth that it was just somebody's opinion?

  593. How did those ladies know how many people were killed?

  594. Okay, God, I just I just want us to.

  595. Objectively think about this. How would they even know? Yeah,

  596. so it just must have been their opinion of what

  597. they did not see, but what they heard. And they

  598. made up a creative lyrical poem set to tambourine.

  599. In la.

  600. And that's all it took to take a king to

  601. a place of obsession. Yeah, Kings and queens deep in

  602. the comments arguing we'll preach a man six one six.

  603. No, no, no, I'm just you're the king of the race.

  604. God has placed you in.

  605. You now and down here talking about it. Ain't nobody

  606. ever going to disrespecting me like that? And nobody because

  607. watch this, Oh my god, Because of Soul's lack of focus,

  608. he doesn't confront the young lady singing the song. He

  609. confronts the one who's actually winning victories for him.

  610. That makes no but distractions and comparison will leave you

  611. in situations that are a conundrum.

  612. Why am I even doing it? Why am I mad

  613. at them? There are people right now you don't like,

  614. just based off of assumption, you have no facts.

  615. She just a hope.

  616. You don't know that.

  617. Look how she dressed. That means he a hope.

  618. They're greedy? No, no, no, they were. They ate their food.

  619. You didn't get food, and so now you're calling them

  620. greedy when they were prepared the question And I'm saying

  621. little things.

  622. But how many times do.

  623. We take something we assume and we turn it in

  624. to watch this a truth?

  625. Not the truth? A truth? That's the mike.

  626. What can we do because we can't stop the things

  627. from triggering us? Come on, let's be Are we a

  628. hot church, humble, open and transparent? How many times you

  629. can just walk into a place, see a type of

  630. person and it's like, uh uh, trigger, ready to fight,

  631. ready to cuss, ready to leave. Trigger doesn't always mean engaging.

  632. Some of y'all get trigger when y'all see people and

  633. be like, oh my god, a people, we gotta get

  634. out of there.

  635. Sometimes trigger makes you confident in one moment and you

  636. get triggered in just how to protect yourself from comparison.

  637. I'm gonna just give you four things that I learned

  638. from Saul's life because he I should have titled it a.

  639. Distraction made by comparison.

  640. Yeah, because David wasn't supposed to be a distraction for him.

  641. What distractions are you making right now?

  642. What families are you supposed to be in relationship with

  643. that you won't even go towards because of the way

  644. y'all met, or you scrolling on.

  645. Ig actually never having a conversation with them, but you.

  646. Heard what somebody else said about them. Your business would

  647. flourish if you teamed up with that other gym. But

  648. because somebody who paid you for two weeks and then

  649. went over there and paid them for two weeks, came

  650. back and made a song.

  651. There, Jim, don't have this.

  652. I like being here with y'all because you da da

  653. da da. And now you looking at somebody you never

  654. met who's supposed to be the answer to your prayer

  655. to actually take over the city.

  656. In this area. You've made them into competition, comparison and distraction.

  657. I'm just giving you all examples because the Holy Spirit

  658. is really giving me a lot of them.

  659. Married people, how in the world did you marry that person?

  660. You loved them for years, and now they're your competitor

  661. laying in the same bed because of the walls of

  662. pride that have been built up. And now you compare

  663. how much money they make versus how much money you make,

  664. how much money they spend versus how much money I

  665. seen you on Amazon, how much they hobby costs as

  666. much as how much your nails and eyelashes.

  667. And lipstick and collagen.

  668. And okay, I'm just and you turn the person watched

  669. this that was supposed to compliment you, you turn them

  670. into competition. Let me tell you the first way that

  671. I figured out that Saul got to this place of

  672. making David a distraction. It was disobedience. Write this down.

  673. Disobedience leads to insecurity.

  674. A lot of.

  675. Times people be like, don't disobey God, because when you

  676. disobey God, things can happen. And it's like, yeah, but

  677. we serve a gracious God. We serve a God that

  678. pours out his faith on this and his mercy even

  679. when we don't deserve it. God will take his hand

  680. off of certain stuff. He's not gonna bless foolishness over

  681. and over and over and over and over again until

  682. we actually make a decision to repent. But what I

  683. found out is even when I don't experience the consequences

  684. of my disobedience on an outward level, my inward self

  685. takes a hit. So when I disobey God, my insecurity

  686. start to flare up because I know who I am

  687. with God.

  688. When y'all saw me do that, are got the keys,

  689. the keys, the keys?

  690. That wasn't Michael Todd the keys, the keys? I lose

  691. my keys? Do you understand what I'm saying?

  692. That that ain't that ain't like are got the keys

  693. the key? The only way I was on top of

  694. this build and say I got the keys, the keys,

  695. the keys.

  696. It's because of my relationship in obedience to God, And

  697. as soon as I disobey God, all of my flesh

  698. regular self shows back up.

  699. Here. I am Lord.

  700. That's why sometimes I be so shocked that he still

  701. want to use me. And that's why God's saying, just

  702. obey me, keep me close.

  703. You look different. I got this picture in my head

  704. like I'm iron man with God.

  705. Did y'all like when I'm with God, you don't.

  706. Even see me. I'm flying, y'all know what I'm saying.

  707. I'm out of here with God. Huh, I'm here. But

  708. when you walk around doing this with God not on you.

  709. This is how much believers look. We disobey God. And

  710. I'm like, no, I'm gonna pray for you. We're gonna

  711. invite God's presence, no power. What I need, what I

  712. need to be seen in at all times. It's the

  713. obedience of God. But this is the problem with Saul.

  714. Was he the second king? He was the first king.

  715. Let's say it like this first and only, first and

  716. only king. Yet he disobeys God, which leads him back

  717. to his insecurity.

  718. All of us start with insecurity.

  719. Yeah, but when you step into God, it seems like

  720. those insecurities don't define you anymore. Not that got him.

  721. This is not the thing you notice about me. People like, man,

  722. you're so confidence. No, actually, I'm scared. Come on, Oh

  723. my god, Cousin'm like, do you ever get nervous every

  724. time I get up here?

  725. But as soon as I put.

  726. My knees on that concrete and I say, Father, this

  727. is not me speaking, but use me as an oracle.

  728. Let your word come.

  729. Out of me, take over all my faculties, Holy Spirit,

  730. tag team back again.

  731. Let's do what you do when I do that, Bob,

  732. that's suited. Do you understand what I'm saying?

  733. But what disobedience does disarms that I can act like

  734. I'm standing in it.

  735. No power and one Samuel thirteen.

  736. If you go back, you gotta understand that Samuel was

  737. a prophet and he's the one that anointed Saul is king.

  738. Saw I didn't even want to be king. His securities

  739. were so bad.

  740. That when they went to acknowledge him as king before

  741. the people, he was hiding in the luggage. He couldn't

  742. He couldn't fathom that God wanted to use him that way.

  743. He couldn't fathom that from his tribe and at his

  744. age and with his issues, that God wanted to use him.

  745. But my God has a way of taking people who

  746. don't even view themselves.

  747. As qualified for.

  748. The position Atohol, and he has a way of pointing

  749. them out and saying you me.

  750. Yes, you, I want to use you.

  751. I want to I want to make you into what

  752. you never thought you could be. I want to change

  753. generations through your life. We hiding behind our luggage, our baggage.

  754. He gets called out of that, gets anointed as king.

  755. And then there was battles happening. And when the battles

  756. were happening, God gave specific instruction through the prophet Samuel,

  757. and he said, hey, listen, we're going to do a

  758. ceremony that honors God, and it's going to cause you

  759. to win victory.

  760. I'm coming back. Do not do it without me first Samuel.

  761. Thirteen eleven, Saul sees people in his army starting to

  762. get killed. He sees people getting killed. He's focusing on

  763. the wrong thing, and he.

  764. Goes ahead, and he goes ahead and does the sacrifice

  765. without Samuel. As soon as he finishes, Samuel walks up,

  766. ain't that how it happened?

  767. But Samuel said, what have you done? Saul replied, hey, hey,

  768. don't even worry about it. I've seen you do it before.

  769. I saw my men scattering from me, and you didn't

  770. arrive watch this when you said you would. And the

  771. Philistines are out Migmash, ready to big bash, so I said.

  772. The Philistines are ready to march against us at Gilgall,

  773. and I.

  774. Haven't even asked for the Lord's hell.

  775. So I was compelled to offer the burn off a

  776. ya offer the burn offering myself. Try to make it spiritual.

  777. I did what God told me not to.

  778. Do, but I did it because I felt compelled. I

  779. felt an unction hey to go and talk to her. No,

  780. you didn't. God told you to be single in this season.

  781. But I offered it myself before I know, I was

  782. before you came.

  783. Samuel, How foolish you have not kept the command the Lord,

  784. your God gave you.

  785. You did not obey. Watch this.

  786. Had you have obeyed, the Lord would have established your

  787. kingdom over Issuel forever.

  788. Oh my gosh.

  789. This means if he would have focused on the thing

  790. God said and not got distracted by the people scattering,

  791. we would have never met David. David is Saul's replacement

  792. because of distraction.

  793. Come close.

  794. The only reason we know David is because Saul got distracted.

  795. I hope we never have to meet your replacement because

  796. you didn't fix your focus. I've decided I'm not meeting

  797. my replacement out of disobedience for God. I could be

  798. in the seat at Transformation Church talking about the band

  799. this church is crazy, bar love this church, the music,

  800. and da da dah sitting there because I did not

  801. obey God when bishops said it's time for you to

  802. relead this church.

  803. I could be given big off friends and.

  804. In full disobedience watching somebody else up heear doing what

  805. God called me to do, and Saul didn't even recognize

  806. that he didn't mess it up just for him. The

  807. Bible says that the Lord would have established your kingdom

  808. over Israel forever.

  809. You just robbed your children and their children and their

  810. children of royalty because you couldn't fix your focus.

  811. He says, But since you didn't do this verse fourteen,

  812. but now not, your kingdom must have a break. It said,

  813. Now your kingdom must end, for the Lord has sought

  814. out a man after his own heart. The Lord has

  815. already appointed him to be the leader of his nation.

  816. Dang didn't even give me thirty days. I mean, think

  817. about it. My man is like saying you disobey right now.

  818. The Lord has already sought him out.

  819. Got your replacement. But the only reason is not because

  820. you're a bad person.

  821. It's just you didn't obey me. So write this down

  822. so you can know.

  823. Disobedience leads to insecurity costa mic. Why is that important?

  824. Because insecurity leads to comparison. People who are secure don't

  825. compare themselves. I'm not saying that they may have never

  826. done it, but like there are people that walk.

  827. Around like what did they have on? Is what I

  828. got on? How does this look? How do I sound?

  829. How do I die? They're always comparing themselves. But your

  830. genius is you, Yes, your genius is who God created

  831. you to be, even if people aren't accustomed to you.

  832. So we usually.

  833. Factor in our greatness by how people receive us.

  834. I'm good whether you like me or not. Okay, I

  835. know that's hard to.

  836. Receive because I know we live in such a politically

  837. correct thing.

  838. I'm good.

  839. I may not be your cup of tea when it

  840. comes to preaching, but the proof is in the pudding.

  841. If nobody what I was good at what God told

  842. me to my race when I was in youth ministry,

  843. Yes I was long winded. Yes, I'd say some things

  844. that were questionable. Ye yes, no, no, no, let me

  845. be I'm.

  846. Not discounting that I don't have room to grow. But

  847. please the lag like I was good. See, some of

  848. y'all got to get a Holy Spirit confidence.

  849. Back, that unshakable confidence. You understand what cause God called me?

  850. And no, I've never done this before.

  851. No do you know? Well?

  852. Everybody else is that is good for them. And if

  853. I would have judged what God was doing in me

  854. by the response of people many times when the crowd

  855. starts talking, so this comparison, they didn't like it.

  856. So who should I be like if I was trying to.

  857. Be Elevation, if I was trying to be Pasophertic, or

  858. if I was trying to be Joe Oldsteining, or if

  859. I was trying to be Tdjkes, or if I was

  860. trying to be I would.

  861. Be a horrible junior version.

  862. Of all of them. But can't nobody beat me at

  863. being me? You need to believe that right now, man,

  864. somebody say, nobody tim beat me being me?

  865. Come on one more time, nobody tim beat me being me?

  866. So why don't you like you? If God loves you

  867. and likes you. Why don't you if he called you

  868. and chose you with all your flaws, Why do you

  869. hate yourself? If He made you to have life and

  870. life more abundantly, Why do you keep thinking of suicide?

  871. It's because somewhere you started comparing yourself to something that

  872. was not designed by.

  873. The Creator for you.

  874. And today I'm asking the church to put down this

  875. distraction of comparison. Maybe I'm forty and I don't have

  876. what I thought I was gonna have, But why would

  877. I take away the joy I could have in this

  878. season by looking at what I could have that they

  879. have And I don't God, and don't know how I'm

  880. gonna get When my insecurity starts to rise up that

  881. was given to me by all of the distractions that

  882. I believed that, that's when I get into comparison.

  883. Look at this.

  884. Samuel eighteen tells us that all of Saul's generals like David,

  885. his son Jonathan, his family like David, and them ladies

  886. like David. It was too much for Saul to handle

  887. that he was winning in places that were more than

  888. the authority he gave him. He was fine with him

  889. winning on the battlefield, but when he started winning outside

  890. of the place that he told him to win in.

  891. He's like, no, no, not my family, not the generals,

  892. not the other And these are all things watched that

  893. turn people who are supposed to be your allies into

  894. your enemies.

  895. Hear what I'm saying.

  896. Comparison turns your allies into enemies. He should have been like, great,

  897. I made a great decision. They whoa My general was like,

  898. I was scared about how my general is gonna accep

  899. him because it's a new guy coming to end.

  900. And all the other stuff. The general, my fam lossom

  901. Jonathan losson. I mean the ladies let him. That's probably

  902. good for promotion, Like we could get the word out

  903. some more many we turned the song. I mean, he

  904. could have spinned the whole thing. But all he saw

  905. was watch this.

  906. Oh my god. Okay, gotta go back, go thank you.

  907. Okay, go back to where verse eight and first Samuel eighteen,

  908. verse eight. It said it made him angry when he

  909. heard the song. He said, what is this they credit David?

  910. Comparison is usually fueled by credit. They credited him, They

  911. don't know, but because they credited him with it, I'm

  912. gonna start comparing myself, and watch this. Watch the jump

  913. from the song to verse nine. Watch the extreme amount

  914. of imagination that has to be injected.

  915. Watch all of the assumption. He said.

  916. They credit David with ten thousand and me with only thousand.

  917. Next they'll be making him their king. That's two plus

  918. two equaling a million fifty six thousand, seven hundred and

  919. twenty eight.

  920. How did we take that jump?

  921. Comparison will make you jump to conclusions that don't make

  922. sense to anybody. All Right, here we go. I told

  923. you we're done. Disobedience leads to insecurity. Insecurity leads to comparison.

  924. Watch it, and comparison leads to fear. One Samuel eighteen,

  925. verse twelve. Saul was afraid of David because the Lord

  926. was with David but had departed from Saul. So he

  927. sent David away from him and gave him command over

  928. a thousand men, and David led the troops in their

  929. companions in everything. Watch this he did. He had great

  930. success because the Lord was with him. When Saul saw

  931. how successful he was, he was afraid of him. When

  932. you can't identify the root of your irritation with somebody,

  933. it's usually your insecurity. Have you ever met somebody and

  934. you can't tell why you don't like him.

  935. I don't know. It's just some.

  936. A And what happens in this leader's life is this

  937. is all it's trying to do. Remember, they were trying

  938. to take Samson's vision away. What comparison does is take

  939. your vision away. So what happens is you start you

  940. start getting just a little insecure about the people that

  941. are around you. It doesn't take your vision away completely.

  942. They don't take it away completely, but I shoul can't

  943. see what's happening over here. When you're disobedient, you lose peripheral.

  944. When you're disobedient, you gotta try to keep everything in

  945. front of you. You ever been caught in a lie

  946. and you forgot what lie you was telling? No, when

  947. you're disobedient, you're trying to remember, like hold on, hold on,

  948. ah ah, is there anything back there? And this is

  949. what disobedience looks like. But what disobedience leads to is insecurity.

  950. And when I get a little insecure, my vision is

  951. just a little darker. So I can't see over here.

  952. But what I could see is no longer clear, it's dim.

  953. And what happens when I put on these glasses of comparison.

  954. It leads to me walking in fear. And so now

  955. I'm comparing. And when I see other people winning, when

  956. I see God doing things in other people's wives, I

  957. become completely blind to him. Lord, Lord, I can't see anything. Lord,

  958. I don't know where the end of the stage is. Oh,

  959. there it is, is.

  960. The little step thing in front of me?

  961. No?

  962. Yes? Is it in front of me? Hold on? Wait?

  963. Did somebody say I'm here?

  964. Yes?

  965. It's a no. Who wants to kill me?

  966. I'm not telling me?

  967. Okay, thank you, thank you, thank you. Okay, all right, cool,

  968. don't move, don't move. Hold on. Now, I'm trying to

  969. navigate my life off.

  970. Of memory, off of past seasons, off of things that

  971. I used to.

  972. That's a lot more stage than I remember. Okay, there

  973. we go.

  974. What does it look like when I'm supposed to be

  975. at battle fighting other things, finding generational patterns and fighting

  976. fighting my own flesh, and fighting through the trauma that

  977. I experienced, just living in a sinful world. And I

  978. can't even see what God was trying to do through

  979. my alliance with something that I turned into a distraction.

  980. Right now, people may be getting up to leave. I

  981. can't see people are leaving your life that you can't

  982. even see. People are coming in that you can't even see.

  983. People are aiming for you, and you can't even see it.

  984. You can't even see. You went to that new job

  985. and thought it was an upgrade, and that thing was

  986. made in a decision of blindness.

  987. You're in a relationship right now.

  988. You can't even see that they do not love you,

  989. don't care for you. They're using you at this current moment,

  990. and you can't even see. You can't even see that

  991. your kids are being distant from you. You can't see

  992. that they're being influenced by everything else because you've.

  993. Turned the road you're gonna be respectful to me.

  994. Yeah, yeah, but now you've turned the one conversation that

  995. they weren't respectful and they were being a kid into

  996. something that actually has now fuelled a feud in between

  997. you to where you won't even share with them vulnerably

  998. no more. And in the years that they need you most,

  999. you have been now focused on that moment of disrespect

1000. that you won't let nobody just get out my house.

1001. You sent them into a war, and you didn't just

1002. because of your pride, and this is your.

1003. Kid, this your this is your child. I don't know

1004. who I'm pointing at, but I'm pointing at you. This

1005. is your seed. That then you're gonna come to church

1006. and say, but pray for my child. They're wayward. Hopefully

  1007. they find God.

1008. That they were in a place of growing and they

  1009. tried to flex.

1010. That every person does. But your spiritual maturity and your ability,

1011. this is why we got to put away the distractions.

1012. Because their their moment of a slip up or a

1013. failure or even blakenet disrespect. It triggered you. And now

1014. because you're triggered, you're insecure. And now you're starting compare

1015. yourself to people who are dead, because now you're saying

1016. that you're gonna be a parent that your parents worked,

1017. or be a parent like they were, and you start comparing,

1018. and that leads to all y'all, I'm just telling you,

1019. it's a vicious cycle of the devil that has us

  1020. all walking around blind.

1021. Now I have to be cautious.

  1022. Where I didn't think I didn't have to think about

1023. stepping a moment ago fossor how long are you gonna

1024. keep this thing on your head? How long are you

  1025. going to keep comparison.

  1026. As a distraction.

1027. I've been preaching this series for five weeks and you

1028. keep thinking this for somebody else. Somebody about to tune

1029. off and go watch another minister because I'm hitting your

1030. core and you're comparing it to how you felt last time. Listen,

1031. whatever God's speaking to you right now, you better hear it.

  1032. Now.

1033. My glasses all foggy. Now, I still don't have peripheral,

  1034. but I'm getting better.

1035. Now. I have to readjust all I'm saying to a church.

1036. It is that we have to set aside this distraction

1037. of comparison because it's gonna rob us of allies and

1038. make enemies standing all over this place. This is not

1039. the moment to leave, because I want to pray for you.

1040. I want to pray that the seed of the insecurities

1041. will be the thing that the enemy would no longer

1042. be able to attack because it starts as insecurities, and

1043. then the enemy isolates, and then it infects your heart

1044. and then it irritates you. And I just really do

1045. believe that Saul's life is a picture for us of

1046. how we have to make a decision today to stop

1047. comparing ourselves to other moms.

  1048. You're those kids' mom.

1049. God's equipped you with everything you need to raise those children,

1050. and he'll give you everything you can.

  1051. So you stop breastfeeding.

1052. But you're watching a mom have seven refrigerators full of

1053. stored up breast milk, and that makes you feel bad

1054. about your day. I'm trying to use real examples, y'all.

1055. Now you don't think that you're doing good, and you

1056. don't even have help, and God has blessed you, and

1057. somehow you speak in life into those kids and you're

1058. dealing with the thing. Stop looking at them. Some of

1059. y'all may need to cut off access to people and

1060. things that make you feel inferior and flare up your insecurity.

1061. I don't know what it is for you, but some

1062. of y'all watching football because you almost made it. And

1063. if I wouldn't have turned my acl, I would have.

1064. Been I would have been at the superball. Now I'm just.

1065. And what I'm saying is every time you see that,

  1066. you see your failure.

1067. And now you're comparing yourself to twenty six year olds

  1068. at forty eight, I mean, you're a delusion. You're delulum

1069. for real. You barely can walk down the stairs and

1070. you're thinking you're about to go out there and get hit.

1071. But I'm saying, like, delusion will make you do that,

  1072. And you're turning something.

1073. Football is nothing, it's not a it's neutral, yeah, but for.

1074. You, because of the insecurities, it becomes nuclear. Now you're

1075. mad at your wife and mad at your kid. Nothing

1076. tastes good. You lost your How did all of that happen?

1077. Because I was distracted by something that wasn't supposed to

  1078. be a distraction.

  1079. Today, I'm making a fresh commitment.

1080. To put all of my distractions for the one the watch.

1081. This the only one I should be comparing myself to.

1082. Jesus knew we would have a struggle with this comparison thing.

1083. Even the disciples that were walking with him, seeing all

1084. the miracles they over there like, yo, okay, who's but

  1085. who's better than?

  1086. Who's better? Jesus?

1087. Like where do I get to sit? Do I get

1088. to sit at your right hand in heaven? Like when

1089. we get there? Like look at this fool, Like they're

1090. literally comparing themselves in the presence.

1091. So he knew it was gonna be a problem.

1092. So he said this all right, I'm gonna die and

1093. I'm gonna but before I die, I'm gonna live, and

1094. I'm gonna live perfect, and I'm gonna die knowing none

1095. of them can do this.

  1096. So the only.

1097. Person they should be comparing themselves to is me. Everybody

1098. on this earth is not worth being compared to, he said,

1099. unless they have ascended and sit at the right hand

  1100. of the Father.

1101. All you need to do is fix your focus on

1102. the one and only change.

  1103. Yeah.

1104. So, yes they're beautiful, but they're not you. Yes they're

1105. great at that sport, but they're not you. When you

1106. become secure and who God's made you to be, watch this,

1107. you can celebrate who God's made them to be.

  1108. Do y'all hear what I'm saying.

1109. We got to celebrate what God's doing in other's way more.

1110. But it's very hard to do that when you can't

1111. see God hand on your own life. Today, I want

1112. to pray for everybody who struggles in this area. I'm

  1113. the first one.

1114. I can't tell you how many times the enemy tries

1115. to wear me out with comparison. And when I read this,

1116. when I got the revelation of this, I had to

1117. come and lay my watch this. My excuses I made

1118. for myself at the altar because I thought everybody comparison

1119. themselves it's fine, and God said, you don't have to.

1120. And today I'm telling you you don't have to. I

1121. feel the presence of God.

1122. You can stop comparing yourself to them, to it, to

1123. a money number, to an apartment, to a home.

1124. Stop because it's robbing you of victories that you could

  1125. be winning.

1126. Right now. If that's you all over this place, would.

1127. You with your hands if you want God to take

1128. comparison and put it in its rightful place. Yeah, today, Father,

  1129. we're saying we're ready for change.

1130. Come on online right now.

1131. As you're sitting there pastor road, just seeing that just

1132. one time for me received from God.

1133. You love finds me when I.

1134. No man, Hello, no mountains and done noting a. I

1135. wanna be autant here ethy A. Oh no girl, no shame,

1136. I lay down, prize God do a new thing leaving

  1137. in side.

  1138. I'm ready for change.

1139. I wanna be autant here ethy too.

  1140. Father. Here we are.

1141. We're bringing the distraction of comparison to the altar today

1142. and we are sacrificing it before you. Father, got all

1143. the things that we've picked up along the way from childhood,

1144. from school, from sports, from television, from teachers and coaches

  1145. and bosses.

1146. And from our own filter the lies we believed.

1147. God, help us see ourselves like you see us, a

  1148. masterpiece made.

  1149. In your image. Father.

1150. Yeah we have flaws, and yeah we have things that

1151. we are working on. But God, you do not see

1152. us through the lens of our working version. You see

1153. us through the lens of what you've already made us

1154. to be. Today, Father God, we are asking that you

1155. would help us stop being a addicted to comparison.

  1156. Today.

1157. Let our celebration for others go up as we become

1158. okay with being in community and connection with those Father God,

1159. who are great at things we are not, who have

1160. different giftings and callings and and and and temperaments and

1161. spiritual discernment. Father, let us let us be intrigued, Father God,

  1162. not isolated from.

1163. Our brothers and sisters. I thank you that your word

1164. says two are better than one. Father. Where there's unity,

1165. there's a commanded blessing. Change our leans.

1166. To see things the way you do, Father God, and

1167. that means you're gonna have to heal some places in us.

  1168. That are fractured.

1169. Our faith that has been fractured, our focus that has

1170. been fractured. Today, God, I'm bringing everything to this altar.

1171. Let me see you in a brand new way.

  1172. God.

1173. I thank you, Father God, that fear will no longer

1174. lead my life. The fear of somebody else's success, the

1175. fear of somebody else getting the job, the fear of

1176. somebody else being liked, the fear of somebody else, Father

1177. God getting the promotion. Father, let fear no longer lead

1178. my life. Today I declare I'm a person of faith.

1179. I am a person of faith. What is for me

1180. and my family and my generation and my line, I

1181. will not forfeit it because of disobedience. Today, God, I

1182. squarely put my faith back in you. I'm ready for

1183. change and today, God, i want to be altered here, at.

1184. This alter else, I'm ready put you.

  1185. Goodbye Yesterday, Goodbye Yesterday.

1186. He's calling my name, he's calling. I want to be altered.

1187. I wanna be all. Just take a moment.

1188. Your hands and just say this together.

  1189. I'm ready for change.

  1190. Goodbye Yesterday, Goodbye Yesterday.

1191. He's calling my name, he's calling. I wanna be yes, sir.

1192. This lore time, somebody's getting killed. I'm ready for change.

  1193. Hold goodbye Yesterday.

1194. I'm no Liverpool living in yesterday.

  1195. Day.

1196. He's calling my name, He's call be all here.

1197. I wanna be alter here at the.

1198. If you want to make Jesus Christ your personal Lord

1199. and savior, we're out of here in three minutes, y'all. Today,

1200. I have no greater joy than to offer you a

1201. way out of comparison. For the rest of your life.

1202. You'll only have to be trying to be like our Father,

1203. and he'll help you do it. He's the only one

1204. that can help you change your habits once you give

1205. him your heart. There's no judgment here because I am

1206. as trash as your worst day in my flesh. But

1207. all I keep doing is stepping into that iron man

1208. suit and saying, God, leave me, guide me.

1209. And you have the opportunity to do that today.

1210. The Bible says, any man that be in Christ, he

1211. is a brand new creation. The old has passed away. Behold,

1212. I have made all things new. Today is your day

1213. of salvation. On the count of three. Whether you are

1214. in this room, all over the balconies in the middle,

1215. or you are online, today is the day of salvation.

1216. The Church is praying right now because they know how

1217. monumental this moment is for you. I feel the presence

1218. of God. Today is a day of transformation for you.

1219. If you want to receive Jesus, I just want you

  1220. to slip.

1221. Your hand in the air. One.

1222. You are making the greatest decision of your life.

  1223. Two.

1224. I am proud of you. But more than that, your

1225. name is about to be written in the Lamb's Book

1226. of Life. Three shoots your hand up all over this place.

1227. I see you right there in the back.

1228. I see you. I see you. Come on, I see

1229. you all the way up there. Oh, Transformation Church, I

1230. see you. And more than I see you, God sees you.

  1232. you at TC.

1234. God's changing your life. At Transformation Church. We're a family.

1235. Nobody praise alone. So today we all lift our hands

1236. and say God, thank you for sending Jesus to be

1237. my example, to be my savior, and to.

1238. Be my Lord. Today I give you my life. Change me,

1239. change me, change me. I believe you lived and you

1240. die so that I could walk in victory.

1241. I'm yours forever in Jesus' name. Amen, Hey, can we

1242. turn up all over this place for the all?

1243. Y'all can do better than that. Let's thank God for

  1244. all that he's doing.

1296. in this moment, not just in this room, but in

1297. your home and your heart. I just I believe that

1298. the Spirit of God is trying to do something brand new,

1299. and what that starts with is us giving him our distraction.

1300. And today I'm just so proud of so many of

1301. you that we are seeing in the comments in the

1302. chat that have decided to give the distraction of comparison

1303. to our King, And for everybody who just decided that

1304. I'm going to actually not just celebrate a moment of

1305. giving my distraction away, I'm gonna give God my whole life.

1306. I just want to say I'm so proud of you.

1307. If you haven't had an opportunity yet, I want you

1308. to take saved to eight to eight to eight too,

1310. let you know how you continue to join on this journey.

1311. And I've been coming here every.

1312. Day after service because I feel like I.

1313. Just want you to know that without.

1314. The people in the room that I just see you,

1315. I hear you, we're getting your names, praying for you,

1316. and right now is just an extra time of prayer

1317. and so as there are thousands that are still on

1318. here right now, I want to pray for you. Whether

1319. you're watching this live, you're watching the rebroadcast, this moment,

  1320. the Holy Spirit.

  1321. Is in it.

1322. So I want you to put your prayer request right

1323. now in the chat. The team is typing them in,

1324. they're sending me, they're showing it to me on the

1325. screen as well as I have cards here, and we're

1326. going to be praying and agreeing and celebrating with our

1327. brothers and sisters from all over the world from places

1336. being able to celebrate those to our left and right

  1337. and not comparing.

1338. And so today I thank you for.

1339. The deep work, the root work that you're doing on

1340. the inside of all of us. And today Father God,

1341. we make a special moment, special space for you to

1342. continue to speak. It's not over with the service, Father God.
