  1. Welcome to the Life Bible Church podcast. We

  2. want to thank you for joining us today, and we

  3. hope you find today's sermon impacting as you

  4. listen to it wherever you are in your daily walk.

  5. To find service times and watch messages online,

  6. see our website at lifebiblechurch .org. Now,

  7. enjoy this week's message. All right. Praise

  8. God. It's great to see you. Happy New Year. It's

  9. been a little bit since I've been here, so thank

  10. you. We were able to take a couple of weeks off

  11. and get some rest and spend some time just waiting

  12. on the Lord for the new year. It's great to see

  13. everybody personally. Thank you so much for being

  14. here. Would you just join with me in prayer that

  15. we would just ask the Holy Spirit to help me

  16. navigate the things that I need to share this

  17. morning. Some things the Lord, spoke to me personally,

  18. a message on our 21 day of fasting. And then

  19. I promised you that I would give you what's happening

  20. on our river bank. And so I got to ask the Lord

  21. to help us kind of navigate this terrain. So

  22. let's pray. Father, we honor you. You are our

  23. heavenly father. You are good. You are merciful.

  24. Lord, we come to you today. We ask that, Holy

  25. Spirit, that you would take every word, scriptures

  26. that have been given, thoughts that have been

  27. pondered and weighed upon. But Lord, you know

  28. how to navigate. You know how to speak. I'm asking

  29. you to, Lord, come and just reveal yourself this

  30. morning in this service through the scriptures,

  31. the written word, through the preaching of your

  32. word, that the very rhema presence of God would

  33. activate our heart. Lord, I thank you for working

  34. on our behalf. I want to declare to you this

  35. morning in front of the congregation that you

  36. are the only one faithful, the only true, loving,

  37. pure, begotten Son of God. And we put our trust

  38. in you. We love you. In Jesus' name we pray.

  39. Amen. Amen. Well, first of all, I want to just

  40. talk about our fast just a little bit. We have

  41. a fantastic booklet that we're going to be passing

  42. out at the end of the services between those

  43. back double doors. If you're heading out the

  44. service, we'll have ushers have these. This has

  45. 21 days of some articles written by 21 different

  46. authors in the church. Kind of give a little

  47. bit different perspective. It's split up into

  48. three week zones. So kind of seven day theme

  49. or seven. days of one theme, seven days of another,

  50. seven days of another. It's called the prevailing

  51. church. You know, God spoke to me and it's very,

  52. very important as I kind of start off this morning.

  53. God spoke to me about midway through in the summer

  54. and I've kind of shared a little bit of the journey

  55. about the river. We've taken communion out there.

  56. We've, we talked about the scarlet cord that

  57. we set up and it was in that time of God speaking

  58. at the end of August and and really 1st of September,

  59. October, right in there that the Lord, and I

  60. didn't have my journal, so I can't give you the

  61. exact date, but the Lord spoke to me. What I

  62. asked him, I said, Lord, what is the theme? Because

  63. on the Jewish calendar, not that I live by everything

  64. that's on the Jewish calendar, of course not,

  65. but I also try to be aware of what's happening,

  66. and the start of the year is always in the fall.

  67. And that's when the calendar starts. It's not

  68. on our Gregorian calendar. If I'm going by the

  69. Hebrew calendar, after the day of atonement and

  70. that process, there is the start or the head

  71. of the year. And there's in that seventh month

  72. or in the final feast of trumpets, and we start

  73. the beginning of the year. And I asked the Lord

  74. at the very beginning of September, I said, Lord,

  75. what is the theme for 2026? What are you speaking?

  76. I've got life conference coming up. What are

  77. you wanting to say? And I heard the Lord say

  78. very clearly, he said, I want you to deal with

  79. the prevailing church, the prevailing church.

  80. And that's going to be important because God

  81. is. is looking at 2026 as a very key year for

  82. us to believe him and trust him for what he said

  83. he was due. How many have had some things and

  84. some promises in the last two or three years

  85. that you've not seen completed so far? All right,

  86. few of us, all right. I'm telling you, there

  87. are many, many. men and women of God that are

  88. hearing this word. I was on the phone with Pastor

  89. Tim Karskad in this past week and we were just

  90. talking about what the Lord was saying to him,

  91. what he was, I was sharing with him what the

  92. Lord was speaking to me and the theme that's

  93. coming out just around. Now there's a lot of

  94. just scattered craziness out there, but the theme

  95. that's out there that I believe the people that

  96. are hearing consistently over and over is what?

  97. God is wanting to create a breakthrough of things

  98. that have been stolen and delayed in the last

  99. couple of years. Because I believe people have

  100. heard the word of the Lord and responded to the

  101. word of the Lord, but they haven't received the

  102. full breakthrough of what's supposed to happen.

  103. And I believe part of it is supposed to take

  104. place. A breaking through is supposed to happen

  105. this year. So we got to figure out, okay, what

  106. does it mean? to be the prevailing church. Prevailing

  107. church in political climates, economic climates,

  108. spiritual climates, in our own home, with our

  109. own family, our own children. How do we prevail

  110. in the midst of backlash or even in times when

  111. things seem like it's going the opposite direction

  112. when it shouldn't be? And so that's important.

  113. I want you to get that book. We have those available

  114. for you. And that's gonna be a big deal. All

  115. right, well, I wanna just kind of share with

  116. you a couple of things. We, Jenny and I were

  117. able to, the last couple of weeks, be able just

  118. to take off from having to preach on a Sunday

  119. for two weeks. We didn't minister any other place.

  120. Most of the time when you see me gone, I am ministering.

  121. Fact is, all of last year, every time I was out

  122. of the pulpit, we were somewhere ministering.

  123. And fact is, we didn't actually take any vacation.

  124. and so we felt like the end of the year, we just

  125. needed to do that. We were blessed to be able

  126. to do that. Right during Christmas, the kids

  127. came, and we spent some time just as a family,

  128. and then they went home, and Jenny and I stayed

  129. in just a little place, and we were able to wait

  130. on the Lord and spend some incredible time. I

  131. didn't realize how, and I'm gonna be very transparent

  132. with you this morning, I didn't realize how depleted

  133. I had become. For anybody that has followed me

  134. or walked with me for the last, I've been in

  135. ministry 32 years, but going to be on 25 years

  136. this fall for our church, I'm a like get -or

  137. -done type guy. That's my nature. I work until

  138. I can't work anymore. My kids have found me passed

  139. out in the wood grove because I've worked so

  140. hard and then they needed to revive me. So I

  141. enjoy hard work. That was how I was raised. I

  142. was kind of raised in a Mennonite family and

  143. how you worked, the principle of hard work, you

  144. went to, you didn't. You always were working.

  145. And so I've got to balance that out now a little

  146. more as I'm older, have a little bit of quality

  147. of life. But I didn't realize how much pressure

  148. and how much erosion had actually take place

  149. in my own heart with this riverbank project.

  150. And as you know, I'll try not to do a super long

  151. summary. We have prepared. Some of these summaries

  152. for you, in fact, is at the information booth.

  153. You can get the full summary of the journey from

  154. 2023 till now, what I'm going to share with you.

  155. But I'm going to give you a little bit of a brief

  156. addition today because I've got several things

  157. we have to do. You guys know that in the last

  158. couple of years, this Riverbank situation has

  159. been a serious threat for us here at Life Bible

  160. Church. And I'm not the sharpest knife in the

  161. drawer. I'm not an engineer, but I'm just enough

  162. of a farm boy here and I've watched things my

  163. whole life being fifth generation from this Willamette

  164. Valley area around Muddy Creek and around the

  165. Willamette River that I kind of understand a

  166. little bit of things that when we stop dredging

  167. rivers, when we stop pulling things out of the

  168. center and the Army Corps of Engineers decides

  169. to change the flow of water, it changes things

  170. downstream. I mean, duh. And so you have genius

  171. pastor, okay. In that fact, what has happened

  172. is a bunch of gravel has built itself up in the

  173. middle of the river. And what's changed on our

  174. riverbank is once that gravel and that stuff

  175. has come down, It's pushed the river. It could

  176. have gone to the right or the left. It could

  177. have gone to the west bank, or in our case, it's

  178. the east bank of the river. What happened is

  179. it almost on low water, it has almost shut the

  180. water off on the west side and completely focused

  181. it on the east side. And so what that's done

  182. is it started to erode. And in the process of

  183. erosion, it's not just eroded, but it's eroded

  184. at a cut bank level where you can't see. all

  185. of the things that have taken place. So as you

  186. know, we have... And I won't go into it. You

  187. can read the four -page paper that I've put together

  188. for you out there. But we have contacted every

  189. agency, federal, state. We've had some incredible

  190. partnership with our Linn County commissioners,

  191. our Lane County commissioners, Will Tucker from

  192. Linn County, David Loveall from Lane County that

  193. have got us in contact with every legislator,

  194. senator, and Oregon governor. We've had letters

  195. sent to... to the White House, to President Trump,

  196. to Speaker Mike Johnson. We've had people involved

  197. in the cabinet. In fact, even as we speak, there's

  198. a letter from Life Bible Church and a summary

  199. and all of the plans of what we went through

  200. that's actually going to one of the cabinet members

  201. right now in the Trump administration cabinet

  202. to look at this project. This thing has gone

  203. far and wide in the state and even in the nation.

  204. And up to this point, we have had zero breakthrough,

  205. zero. Every philanthropist organization, every

  206. governmental organization, everything that would

  207. say, is there money to help this bank? None of

  208. it has come through. And so that kind of brings

  209. you up to the process of where we were in August.

  210. We had taken communion in July out on the riverbank.

  211. In August, we were preparing. we'd had a meeting

  212. for four hours with six organizations, governmental

  213. organizations, over this river. DEQ, Oregon Marine

  214. Board, Department of State Lands, Oregon Fish

  215. and Wildlife, Army Corps of Engineers, and on

  216. and on and on. And so, just trust me, if you

  217. don't like meetings, you have definitely not

  218. wanted to be in that meeting. I poked my head

  219. in because they actually told me, Pastor, we

  220. will not let you in this meeting. you will chew

  221. out every single one of these people. And so,

  222. praise God, we had people of grace sitting on

  223. that meeting and being able to navigate our part

  224. of it. But all to say, we have worked with multiple

  225. engineers and consulting firms over the last

  226. two and a half years to come up with... the requirements

  227. that the Army Corps of Engineers has asked of

  228. us. And the reason it was the Army Corps of Engineers

  229. is because we were looking at putting, and our

  230. request was to put in what we would call riprap

  231. or large big stones to just buttress the south

  232. end of this property and the north end of the

  233. property and do a little bit of fill in and just

  234. stabilize the bank. And I won't go into all the

  235. reasons, but the Army Corps of Engineers is refusing

  236. to give us any permit to do so. And for those

  237. that would say, well, why don't you just do it

  238. anyways? They have actually jailed people up

  239. and down the Willamette River. They actually

  240. put a guy in prison that's 80 years old that

  241. tried to save his land, put him in prison for

  242. a year because he did the very thing that we

  243. wanted to do. So the idea that you would have

  244. common sense and that would put property and

  245. buildings and not pollute the river with fallout

  246. from the river, doesn't make sense to these organizations.

  247. The key is the salmon or the environmental impact.

  248. And I'm not gonna get into that, but the reality

  249. is people are not on the top of the food chain.

  250. Let's just put it that way. So every attempt

  251. to do that was failed. Even working with engineers

  252. that work with... and said, yes, we can design

  253. this. We've got approval for these before. We

  254. presented them and they didn't pass them. Even

  255. to the point where our engineers, the last set

  256. of engineers before we went to this new engineering

  257. firm, presented a $10 million solution. Do we

  258. have $10 million? No. We don't have any million

  259. dollars. But provided a $10 million solution,

  260. One that has been approved by every other agency

  261. and the Army Corps of Engineers said no. That

  262. gives you the idea of what we've been running.

  263. So that's when we came. We had communion on the

  264. bank. We met with those people. We were very

  265. disappointed. And then the Lord spoke to me.

  266. And if you remember, I preached a message or

  267. two on the scarlet cord. And we talked about

  268. the Lord woke me up at night and said, listen,

  269. you need to begin to prophetically proclaim that

  270. what is meant for destruction would be saved.

  271. And we did that. And I'm going to tell you something

  272. as we go through this now, this next season from,

  273. from basically end of September was first of

  274. October. When we did that, things began to shift

  275. and things began to move up to that point. We

  276. had two years of nothing, two years of no help

  277. from FEMA actually flew FEMA out here to do it.

  278. They said, no problem. And then they got furloughed

  279. and the whole, the whole, the FEMA program went

  280. I mean, every category closed door. We stretched

  281. the scarlet cord around the whole property around

  282. the 500 feet. And in the meantime, God had brought

  283. a couple into this church that I did not know.

  284. And that happens. I mean, between first service,

  285. second service, I don't maybe connect all of

  286. the dots. I see faces, I hear names. I'm trying

  287. to memorize who people, who's coming, who's not.

  288. Well, lo and behold, there's an engineer that

  289. started coming to this church. And he grabbed

  290. me after one, some of the things that I had said.

  291. He said, you know, I think I might have a solution.

  292. but it's not really my thing. But I don't know,

  293. I feel like God has got something. And I heard

  294. him and I said, well, talk to so -and -so because

  295. people have been coming to me with every idea

  296. that they get from pizza and from other things

  297. in their night. And so I'm just kind of, you

  298. know, I mean, we're trying every solution we

  299. know to do. And so I just kind of said, we'll

  300. kind of meet with that person if it's, you know,

  301. we'll get it going. We wait a couple of weeks.

  302. He goes, pastor, I don't think I've made myself

  303. clear. He said, I think I have a solution. I

  304. said, well, bring your stuff. Let's bring you

  305. to the eldership. Let's present what you think

  306. you have. So we met with him, TVP engineering.

  307. And honestly, at the end of that meeting, we

  308. felt like God had, we had our first sense of

  309. real hope that it wasn't just a closed door and

  310. the buildings were going down the river. He was

  311. able to give us some real definition on what

  312. he thought he could do. Now here's the sticker.

  313. We've been denied for two and a half years. So

  314. the thing he was proposing, our other engineering

  315. firms that we'd spent thousands of dollars with

  316. that failed us each time, said they could do

  317. for about $400 ,000. They could draw us plans

  318. for 400. Just the plans were 400 ,000. He came

  319. to us, he said, listen, I believe the Lord spoke

  320. to us. I can do that for one third of what they're

  321. asking. I can draw what you're drawing. I think

  322. we've got a solution. We went with it by faith.

  323. Within six weeks, and I told you this here about

  324. a month ago, within six weeks, the city partnered

  325. with us. And the reason we were able to get a

  326. permit right before Christmas was the very simple

  327. reason of this. The city, with their attorneys,

  328. We are the very last property. The city limits

  329. end right with our fence. So all of that slew,

  330. you wouldn't think we'd be in the city. But for

  331. some reason on the maps, and only God would know

  332. for now, we became the last, like the house in

  333. front on this one side is city on the right.

  334. On the left, it's not. But we happen to be city

  335. property. Because of that, the city was able

  336. to give us an exemption. An exemption on the

  337. riverbank means that there's a riparian zone.

  338. It means that you can't do any work or put anything

  339. permanent within. It used to be, that's how we

  340. got our RV, when the property was first developed,

  341. it was 50 feet from a slough or a river. Now

  342. they've changed the laws at 75 feet. But because

  343. the city can... can work within the state law

  344. systems and federal law systems. They can have

  345. a right over what normal property owners can't

  346. have. And in that process, they were able to

  347. grant to us a permit that allowed us to remove

  348. that period from 75 back to 20 feet. That is

  349. just enough, and I mean enough, for us to gain

  350. approval to do what this TVP engineering firm

  351. said we could do. and that is we're going to

  352. build a steel wall through a Z pile. Trust me,

  353. I've learned more language and things about engineering

  354. that I never want to know again. But what it

  355. is is it's corrugated piling. We have to now

  356. get 56 to 58 -foot steel pilings. Those pilings

  357. will be driven into the ground and be connected

  358. and it will form a steel wall. It will be from

  359. one end of the property to the other. It will

  360. be driven in 20 feet from the river's bank. In

  361. some places, there's only 25 feet between the

  362. building and the river. We have this year and

  363. this winter to do this now or we lose and we

  364. have no other option. So by faith, we have said

  365. in Jesus' name, we're going forward, amen? That

  366. is a huge miracle to get a permit, been denied

  367. for two years, and now we are at that point of

  368. going, okay, here we are. So right after Christmas,

  369. because I didn't get a chance to tell you, construction

  370. started. And if you'll look out there, you'll

  371. see about this much rock on top of the ground

  372. spread from all the way over this, all the way

  373. around the building. Why is that? Well, tomorrow

  374. or Tuesday, a 300 ,000 pound machine is coming

  375. in called a pile driver and it's not a wrestling

  376. move, okay? And it is coming in and it is going

  377. to be pounding those pilings into the ground

  378. down 56 feet to where it will be level with the

  379. ground. When we're done, you won't even know

  380. steel wall is under the ground, but it'll be

  381. 56 feet tying in. And here's what's most concerning.

  382. You can look on the bank and see where you think

  383. the most damage is. I was most concerned with

  384. here on the backside of this wall here to the

  385. gen church and the kitchen because it's really

  386. come in around that pool. And that looks the

  387. worst from the outside. But when we hired a,

  388. geographic sonar, the sonar, and it's amazing

  389. the technology that it has today, but the sonar

  390. could go right to the edge of the bank and reveal

  391. what is actually taking place. And the most significant

  392. damage is actually in front of the new construction

  393. in front of the fireplace where it's curved back

  394. under where we lost that oak tree has come clear

  395. back under. And I don't know if you've been out

  396. there and We don't want you necessarily being

  397. out there, but you can look from the windows.

  398. Where we had that fire pit is completely gone.

  399. That tree, then the fire pit was in 20 feet from

  400. that tree, that's gone. So on the low tide, when

  401. the river was pushed tight against the bank,

  402. it cut it like this. And so what will happen

  403. is within that scarlet cord that we put up, it

  404. was almost, The only thing they changed was from

  405. this far corner to just angle it back a little

  406. bit. Everything else where the Lord showed us

  407. to put that scarlet cord where we saw angels

  408. holding that cord and we marked where we saw

  409. it on the property is exactly where that fence

  410. is going now. That in itself is incredible because

  411. we don't, I mean, really, it's remarkable. From

  412. a dream. and a vision to see where four angels

  413. were holding a cord, mark on the fence where

  414. we saw it, mark on the fence where we saw it,

  415. string that cord, and now with all the engineering

  416. and that, not knowing any of it, that fence is

  417. going right on that cord. That's an incredible

  418. thing. That's not a coincidence. That's a God

  419. thing. The fact that the city would give us a

  420. permit within six weeks is a God thing. all of

  421. the engineering firms told us it will be six

  422. months to a year, six weeks. Company told us

  423. they could not get involved and get here until

  424. February. They called us last week, said, we

  425. decided to move you to the head of the list.

  426. We'll be there next week. Holding back the atmospheric

  427. rain. Let me just give you some more miracles.

  428. You know that we were scheduled to have atmospheric

  429. rain for like three, four weeks ago. That was

  430. one of the prayers the engineer called me. He

  431. said, we need a miracle. We cannot have that

  432. much rain. We've got to put this rock, that machine,

  433. when it pounds down, has to be able, its tracks

  434. are 20 feet wide to hold the deal. We have to

  435. have this bank hold. So we went to prayer. You

  436. guys were praying, the church was praying. The

  437. atmospheric river all but bypassed us. We got

  438. normal winter rain. This week we're having two

  439. weeks of nice weather. is not normal. It's a

  440. God window. Come on, you better give the Lord

  441. a praise for that. So three inch material has

  442. been spread by different by construction firms.

  443. We had truck after truck after truck come in

  444. here. That's what that rock is for. We were told

  445. by the city the condition of our permit was this.

  446. Number one, you cannot be any closer than 20

  447. feet. Number two, you can't dig anything. Everything

  448. has to be done on your side. You cannot dig.

  449. If you're going to dig, we can't issue the permit.

  450. The TVP Engineering has been a godsend because

  451. they have worked and now that they're part of

  452. our church and part of the house, we've experienced

  453. a miracle. I mean, literally has saved us a quarter

  454. million dollars just in the design of this thing.

  455. So that's been a miracle. The other thing that's

  456. been a miracle, church, and I'm gonna end it

  457. here pretty soon and then we'll spend some more

  458. time on this next Sunday, is that the eldership

  459. team, and the leadership team of Life Bible Church,

  460. I want to say a special thank you to them. They've

  461. been incredible stewards of the resources that

  462. God has given through your hands. What does that

  463. mean? It means that when we started this process,

  464. we immediately, not last First Fruits, but two

  465. years ago First Fruits, we heard the Lord say,

  466. you need to store up for what's coming. We didn't

  467. know what was coming. to the degree of what was

  468. happening. To this point, we, by faith, we have

  469. been able to, from church funds that we have

  470. been good stewards over, put $800 ,000 toward

  471. this project. That is a miracle. That is a God

  472. -given miracle. Now, there's a lot of things

  473. I could say about that, but we're coming to a

  474. point where, what is the, What is the cost of

  475. this wall? The cost of this thing, which was

  476. gonna be seven to eight million everywhere else.

  477. Every other bids, things we got. And we were

  478. ready of saying, Lord, we have insurance. We

  479. have flood insurance. If it goes into the river,

  480. we're gonna have to fish it out of the river.

  481. They told us it will be liable for the buildings

  482. going in the river, which doesn't make any sense

  483. when they won't give you a permit to stabilize

  484. it. You gotta ask yourself, I mean, but anyway.

  485. Let me just get on a soapbox for a little bit.

  486. We called the people and told them that the tree

  487. is in danger. It's undercut. It's going to go

  488. down. We were told, you cannot touch that tree.

  489. Don't remove that tree. Don't touch that tree.

  490. What does it do? I was here in the morning. I

  491. watched it go into the river. I watched it pull

  492. a power cord into the river. I was dumb enough

  493. to go down there and unplug the power cord while

  494. it was in the water. But anyways, I did it. God,

  495. that was a miracle number three that I didn't

  496. get electrocuted right off the bat. I end up

  497. going to Brazil because we were flying to Brazil

  498. that next day. I'm preaching in Brazil. Carrie

  499. Malpas, our administrator, gives me a call. She

  500. goes, are you sitting down? I said, no. She goes,

  501. you probably want to lay down. I go, okay. She

  502. goes, you know that tree that you said we should

  503. just cut and leave the root system in? Yeah.

  504. Well, it fell in. Yeah, I said, I know. I watch

  505. you. We all went out there. Well, I will not

  506. name the tree. But the head of the agency of

  507. the Department of Oregon called and said, you

  508. must remove that tree immediately. It's in a

  509. major waterway. We want you to hire a crane and

  510. lift it out of the river. I said, I laid down,

  511. I'm standing up. No flipping way. You tell them.

  512. That's why I called them a month and a half ago.

  513. I'm not getting a crane and I am not pulling

  514. it out of the water. We told them it was going

  515. in the water. They told us we couldn't touch

  516. it. Now they call us, tell us to hire a crane

  517. and then they have the audacity to tell it and

  518. don't use normal power tools. If you get in that

  519. water and use a normal chainsaw and put oil pollutants

  520. in the river, we will find you. This is the kind

  521. of love that we're getting, right? Thank God.

  522. We just want to give thanks out to the fire department

  523. of Monroe that came in one night and just removed

  524. all the branches and we say thank you to you.

  525. Hallelujah. But that's the kind of level of mindset

  526. that we're dealing with, okay? You tell them,

  527. it doesn't matter. It happens. Now you're responsible

  528. even though the people in authority, anyways.

  529. So you can imagine, and I'm going to weave some

  530. of this in for me, the pressure on, Me, my team,

  531. the church, because I have thoughts like what?

  532. A, I'm the lead pastor. I have a responsibility

  533. to not only have a vision for what God is saying,

  534. but I have a responsibility to make sure that

  535. stewardship, to make sure that we're doing everything

  536. we know to do so that any question that a congregation

  537. has, we can answer with integrity. And I believe

  538. that. But the pressure of that, watching zero

  539. help for the last two years, I didn't know how

  540. much it was weighing on me. So in the process,

  541. as we get to the permit process, I start having

  542. some heart issues. And this happened before when

  543. we did our building project. And I'm gonna say

  544. this, I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm just

  545. giving you the picture. When we had our building

  546. campaign 12 years ago, I had... Now, this is

  547. probably stupid on me, okay? So I'm not claiming

  548. I'm the sharpest knife in the drawer. I'm the

  549. stubbornest knife in the drawer, but I'm not

  550. the sharpest. About 12 years ago, I had rolling

  551. pain down my arm for about two weeks. And I should

  552. have gone in, but I didn't. And I just prayed

  553. against it because I felt, I felt like I had

  554. a word from the Lord that it was demonic. and

  555. that it was an assignment to take me out early,

  556. but that it actually wasn't a physical condition,

  557. but it was manifesting. And so my wife was upset

  558. at me, and for two weeks I was in the doghouse,

  559. and then it quit. Well, she eventually got the

  560. elders on her side, and I went into the hospital,

  561. did the treadmill test, did all of the stuff,

  562. and they said, shot the dye in, did all the stuff,

  563. and they said, well, we know that you had a heart

  564. event, but we can't find, anything that took

  565. place. We can see that it happened, but there's

  566. nothing that's changed. And your valves are good.

  567. I just call them lines. All your lines are good.

  568. And so I got done with the deal and they go,

  569. well, you're fine. Here's your $5 ,000 bill.

  570. And I looked at my wife and I said, anyways,

  571. I give her a bad time. So The pressure of this

  572. thing started mounting again. I felt it again,

  573. two and three weeks. I go, Lord, I know this

  574. is stress and I know this is an assignment and

  575. I'm gonna fight through this thing. But I did

  576. not know how much this river had stolen from

  577. me personally until we got away and we just took

  578. seven days to wait on the Lord. She had her place,

  579. little room. I had my little room. And we basically

  580. only went out to buy groceries. We cooked and

  581. we just did nothing except wait on God. For about

  582. the first four days, I would spend about five,

  583. six hours a day, about four hours in the morning,

  584. about two hours at night, waiting on the Lord.

  585. It took me about 20 hours of waiting on the Lord

  586. of just constant. before the Lord, asking the

  587. Lord to reveal to me. Lord, where's my joy? Where's

  588. my passion? I just feel like I'm just grinding

  589. this out. This thing, I feel like it's trying

  590. to destroy me. I called different leaders. I

  591. called all of my friends that I'm in ministry

  592. with over the years. Pastor Tim Karskad and Bob

  593. Sorge, Tony Kemp, Jan Venter, all the guys that

  594. I've walked with that are older than me in the

  595. Lord and just to hear their voice and I talked

  596. to our chairman of MFI, Pastor John John, I talked

  597. to Jester. I mean, I spent time in the afternoons

  598. talking to some of the prophets in the body of

  599. Christ and just pouring my heart out on this

  600. river and then seeking God. The Lord spoke a

  601. couple things to me. So I'm leaving you right

  602. at the permit and I'm leaving you right what's

  603. happening and then we'll pick it back up. About

  604. the third day, I was praying and I had a vision.

  605. Now, God usually speaks to me this way. He doesn't

  606. always speak to people this way. It's been unique

  607. in my life. When he speaks to me, He gives me

  608. open visions many times. I see things sometimes

  609. with my eyes open, but most of the time as I'm

  610. waiting on the Lord, it's just my eyes closed.

  611. I get color visions. And in that process, I saw

  612. what I knew to be the Lord Jesus. And I saw him

  613. in a garment that I had never seen him in before.

  614. He was in a golden garment. Most of the time

  615. I've seen him, I've encountered him, he's been

  616. in white or he's either had a golden sash like

  617. it says in the book of Revelation or I've seen

  618. him sometimes with a blue sash representing the

  619. word of God. But this time he came in and I was

  620. in a... table -like setting. The best way I can

  621. describe it was not quite a booth, but like an

  622. extended, more than just a single top for one

  623. person. It was almost like it was a four -person

  624. table. And that's what I could see in my spirit.

  625. And I watched the Lord walk in to this deal,

  626. and he was wearing this golden garment. Now,

  627. this golden garment, the reason I knew it was

  628. him is 10 years ago, 10, 12 years ago, I was

  629. at a intercessors conference and I was waiting

  630. on the Lord and the Lord took me. And I know

  631. I'm getting very personal here. The Lord took

  632. me and I saw a little bit of the streets of gold

  633. in heaven. I stood there in my spirit. And as

  634. I looked down at the transparent gold floors,

  635. as the scripture says that the floor that it's

  636. as clear, the gold is as clear as glass. I saw

  637. in the floor like snowflakes. It wasn't a snowflake,

  638. but like each snowflake has its own unique pattern.

  639. I saw gold patterns of things with a transparency.

  640. So it was like it was a weaving of gold within

  641. gold on a clear gold floor that you could see

  642. the weavings of gold within it. And as the Lord

  643. came in, Because I couldn't see his face. All

  644. of a sudden I saw him come in and he's wearing

  645. a type of garment that looked exactly like that

  646. floor that I had experienced 12 years ago. And

  647. he had one giant necklace with a great big blue

  648. sapphire that was round in the center. And as

  649. he sat there, he sat at the table right in front

  650. of me and I had been talking to him and he had

  651. been talking to me about... Psalms 23, prior

  652. to that, for the last couple of days, said, you

  653. anoint my head with oil in the midst of my enemies.

  654. And I was just talking about the Lord. Lord,

  655. I'm in the midst of the enemies. I can't get

  656. breakthrough from the world. I can't get breakthrough

  657. from counsel. I can't get breakthrough. And all

  658. of a sudden, he sits down and he goes, I want

  659. you to begin to eat deeply of what is on my table.

  660. You know the verse. And you know that David said,

  661. you anointed my head with oil in the presence

  662. of my energy, but you haven't eaten from my table.

  663. You've just known about my table. And in that

  664. process, maybe it was an hour and a half, two

  665. hours, I don't know how long it was, all of a

  666. sudden a different colored jewel tone plate would

  667. appear before me as I was sitting before the

  668. Lord and there would be some entree. One time

  669. it was a red plate. One time it was a... blue

  670. plate. There was a green plate. There was a white

  671. bowl. There was a gold plate. There was a silver

  672. plate. There was seven plates. It was like a

  673. seven course meal. I couldn't tell you what necessarily

  674. was on it. It's just the fact that as I was sitting

  675. with the Lord, whatever that represented, I was

  676. to, by faith, receive what was at the table.

  677. And the Lord spoke to me, says, your heart and

  678. your faith has become like the riverbank. it's

  679. there, but you're, because I said to him about

  680. two days in, I said, Lord, I don't have joy.

  681. I should have more joy. I feel like I've lost

  682. my joy. And he spoke to me. He said, the joy

  683. of the Lord is your strength. And I looked up

  684. the scriptures. Every time he spoke to me, I

  685. looked up the scriptures. Every time he quoted

  686. a verse to me. And I ate at the table of the

  687. Lord. I know that sounds very experiential. It

  688. was. But what I can say to you after those three

  689. or four days is all of a sudden I got a text

  690. and I had asked certain intercessors to pray

  691. for me. And this text came back with the very

  692. verses that I had just heard two hours prior.

  693. And I knew the Lord was speaking to me and answering

  694. some prayers. And one of the things that he spoke

  695. to me, and I want to share this with you. is

  696. he said that you've got to begin to learn in

  697. this next season, because you're going to be

  698. dealing with the prevailing church, that in order

  699. to prevail, you have to steep yourself, and that's

  700. the word I heard, you have to steep yourself

  701. in my love and in my faithfulness. You cannot

  702. go and change anything. From your perspective,

  703. you've done all that you know to do. Now comes

  704. the point where you have to trust me in my love

  705. for you and in my faithfulness to my word that

  706. you really do trust it. And that it's not that

  707. you don't have a responsibility because I'm a

  708. big preacher of responsibility in the scriptures.

  709. We have faith and faith requires obedience. You

  710. can't just have faith without action. It's together.

  711. But sometimes we can take on, and I'm gonna speak

  712. for myself, I can take on, I have to do it. If

  713. there's a stop, I've gotta work harder. If I'm

  714. stopped again, I gotta find another way. And

  715. that's part of a great tenacity that's there,

  716. and many of you are this way. But there's also

  717. a point then where you take the responsibility

  718. that you weren't meant to carry because it's

  719. not you that can do it, right? And so that's

  720. what I heard the Lord say. So as he's saying,

  721. he says, you got to steep yourself in my love

  722. and in my faithfulness. So I did word studies

  723. on God's love. I did word studies on his faithfulness.

  724. And as he was saying this steeping, and I'm not

  725. a tea drinker. How many drink tea around here?

  726. Okay. Bunch of hippies. All right. Anyway, no,

  727. just kidding. I'm a black coffee guy, but so

  728. I'm not a tea guy. But so as I'm getting this,

  729. I'm getting this picture of this foo -foo tea.

  730. And I don't even know if it's out there, but

  731. Jenny said that I really saw something that's

  732. true. Like this steel little teal. like a, I

  733. don't want to call it a teacup, but it's a tea

  734. filter where you put all the tea leaves in. It's

  735. not the Lipton pouch. It's like the organic kind

  736. of cool tea people and they put it in there and

  737. then they sit it in the water. I'm getting this

  738. picture of this thing being loaded and set in

  739. and hot water being poured over and a deal coming

  740. over the top and just letting it steep. And then

  741. when I saw the Lord lift the lid, I saw the leaves.

  742. that we're releasing the tea into the water.

  743. Now, again, I don't study this kind of stuff.

  744. I'm not a tea drinker. I'm just pretty simple.

  745. Give me meat, potatoes, eggs, black coffee, right?

  746. Not tea with a little milk or cream. No, just,

  747. okay, I'm just passing. As I'm seeing this, the

  748. Lord says to me, he goes, just like the leaves

  749. have inside of themselves what needs to be released

  750. for the tea. you've got to allow my love and

  751. my faithfulness of covenant that you preach,

  752. you've got to allow it to begin to soften you

  753. to actually believe me more than just what you

  754. know. Now that was the part of the riverbank

  755. of my heart that needed to be restored. And then

  756. for the next three or four days, that was my

  757. assignment, to allow myself to read, speak over

  758. and receive his love in regard to what we're

  759. going through and not feel like, because it's

  760. a very difficult position. You can know something

  761. and believe something, but your belief transfers

  762. more to a hope when the joy of the Lord is gone.

  763. Joy is, I don't know how to explain it. at this

  764. point yet, but I'll work it out in the scriptures

  765. to come. The joy of the Lord being our strength

  766. is connected to real faith because it's connected

  767. to rest. Hope is not necessarily connected to

  768. rest. Does that make sense? You can have hope,

  769. but it's not connected to rest. Real faith is

  770. connected to rest. Now that doesn't mean rest

  771. as in sleep. That means rest as in not striving

  772. or believing you have to add to something. And

  773. that's what the Lord began to restore to me in

  774. that last week. And so in that process, I said,

  775. as we left, I left Christmas Eve after I preached

  776. the message and I told Jenny, I said, I don't

  777. have any joy left. I've got to get that back.

  778. The Lord's got to meet me. And that's what he

  779. did. He's so faithful. He's so kind. So we, Are

  780. over there. And we just went to Sun River. We

  781. went just to get away. We had a couple few days

  782. of snow. Which my wife loves. I'm not. It's okay.

  783. It just means I got to do a lot of scraping.

  784. And shoveling. But anyways. As we got home. And

  785. in that process. So here's what's coming. Tomorrow

  786. morning. To Tuesday. A 300 ,000 pound pile driving

  787. machine is going to be delivered. The premier,

  788. it's called Pacific Foundation, is who we've

  789. contracted with, is coming in on the West Coast.

  790. They're one of the top three. When you see bridge

  791. construction and you see there, like you got

  792. Hamilton, you got Pacific Foundation, you got

  793. a few others. We thought we had a plan that could

  794. just put steel, flat steel plates in the ground.

  795. to 30, 35 feet. That was gonna be the most economical

  796. way to do this. But when we looked at the river

  797. and did all the engineering and then got the

  798. sonar and saw the underbank cutting, we realized

  799. that we've got to go another 25 feet down deep

  800. in the ground. So we were putting 56 feet of

  801. steel panels that are called Z panels and they're

  802. corrugated and they'll be linked together from

  803. the very... end of where our property is from

  804. Motel Point to Slough Point. And there will be

  805. a wall that will drive 56 feet in the ground.

  806. And here's the deal. We don't have 56 feet of

  807. riverbank or of land to get 56 feet of steel

  808. on. So when we tried... to navigate how we would

  809. get the machine in on this backside, we couldn't

  810. get the steel through. So we actually had to

  811. build a road all the way around the property

  812. so that we could get the steel sheets in because

  813. the steel sheets have to be turned around. Turned

  814. around to be able to be lifted from a platform,

  815. lifted up to drive them in. You know how many

  816. feet we have on that side? 57 feet. They're gonna

  817. have six inches between the building and hanging

  818. over the fence to get those steel plates through

  819. to lay them horizontally so that they can pick

  820. them upright and turn them. The tolerances that

  821. God has given us, in some places, we only have

  822. 20, what is it? we have right at 21 feet of riverbank

  823. at the lowest place. We're within those 20 feet.

  824. Because we have to be 20 feet from the river.

  825. So we're like at 20 and 21 feet. So our timing,

  826. you want to say the Lord never comes late. He's

  827. always on time. You just wish he'd show up a

  828. little early. He's on time, but this is our window.

  829. We've gone this whole process to that fact. We've

  830. been able through stewardship to save about 750,

  831. 800 ,000. We've done that by faith. In the next

  832. week, I'll talk a little bit about what it's

  833. gonna take. I'll just tell you, this is a $2

  834. .2 million project. Everything else was six to

  835. eight million. This is a miracle that we're getting

  836. this moment. I don't know how that's gonna happen.

  837. I just know the Lord spoke to me when I was over

  838. there because with this process, it's been so

  839. on me. of the weight of this thing. And the Lord

  840. said, your responsibility is to believe me that

  841. I'm able to do it through my people and to bring

  842. things in. And so I'm laying it before you. I'm

  843. telling you, we've had at least five or six miracles

  844. so far. We need about two or three more. Number

  845. one, we need great weather like God's been doing

  846. for us. Number two, we need about 1 .5 million

  847. in two months. I've had to write one $700 ,000

  848. check. I've gotta write two more $700 ,000 checks

  849. every 30 days. So every 30 days, there needs

  850. to be a $700 ,000 check. I mean, that's nothing

  851. for Derek and Laura, but for us, it's a little

  852. bit tough. So I'm just saying, we have stepped

  853. out by faith and we are believing God to meet

  854. us. How's he gonna do it? I don't know. I just

  855. have to now anchor into the fact that he is going

  856. to do it. And he's gonna open doors. Doors that

  857. have been shut for two years, I'm believing are

  858. gonna be open. So that then leads us to this

  859. fast. We plan this fast every year. It's something

  860. that we do at the beginning of the year to say,

  861. Lord, we're gonna prepare our hearts to hear

  862. you. Now here's the important thing about fasting

  863. that you need to know. I believe, that when you

  864. set out to do a fast, you don't set out to do

  865. it for something specific you want. Let me just

  866. say that again. When Jesus was dealing with the

  867. little boy that the dad brought the boy that

  868. had seizures of the demon that would try to kill

  869. him multiple times. And Jesus asked him, how

  870. long has this been doing this? And the dad said,

  871. since he was a child, has tried to drown him

  872. in water, has tried to put him in the fire. Even

  873. the demon didn't obey Jesus when he said, come

  874. out of him. He put him into a seizure. And when

  875. the disciples said, when Jesus had just come

  876. down from the mountain of transfiguration, the

  877. rest of the disciples had been trying to cast

  878. this demon out and they couldn't. And they asked

  879. Jesus privately after that, after this whole

  880. session and Jesus cast this demon out, they said,

  881. Lord, why could we not cast out the demon? And

  882. Jesus said very specifically, he said what? He

  883. said, this type, this type, only goes out by

  884. prayer and fasting. Now what most people believe

  885. when they read that is they think that that's

  886. what you're to fast for, for certain. Yes, there

  887. is a principle of fasting, but Jesus was saying

  888. something more than that. He was saying to the

  889. disciples, now listen, they had been the most

  890. trained miracle workers in the world. They had

  891. been with Christ. at that point of the Mount

  892. of Transfiguration for over two and a half years.

  893. They had been operating, healing the sick, casting

  894. out devils, watching miracle after miracle. It

  895. wasn't for a lack of not knowing how or not having

  896. the faith to do so. What was it the lack of?

  897. The lack of because of busyness. that Jesus would

  898. always, and if you'll read it, he would slip

  899. away and what would he do? He would go pray while

  900. they would sleep or be busy with that. What he

  901. was saying is this type does not come out except

  902. prayer and fasting. He was saying this. He's

  903. saying there must be a lifestyle of prayer and

  904. fasting so that when you encounter things that

  905. you did not know, There is a fresh awakening

  906. of your heart and your mind to partner with the

  907. things of God and that you don't realize the

  908. erosion that can take place even when you're

  909. doing good things for God. And so in that process,

  910. one of the things that we have to do in this

  911. fast of these next 21 days, what does the fast

  912. do? Well, first of all, it removes us from getting

  913. comfortable. There's nobody in their right mind

  914. that prays in the morning. At least, Van, I hope

  915. that this is not your case. There's nobody that

  916. wakes up in the morning and says, Lord, I love

  917. you so much, send turmoil today. You don't wake

  918. up in the morning and say, dear God, send the

  919. storm. Dear God, send turmoil, I love you. Nobody

  920. prays that. Now that may happen, but you don't

  921. pray for it. It's like, If you ever pray for

  922. patience, that's exactly what will happen. So

  923. nobody prays that way. We pray, Lord, I give

  924. you this day. Help me to honor you in this day.

  925. Keep me from screwing up. Keep me from dishonoring

  926. you. And let me honor your Holy Spirit. That's

  927. a prayer. Keep me from temptation. Deliver me

  928. from evil. Let me honor and hallow your name

  929. to do your will. That's what we should be praying

  930. in the morning. Nobody prays, bring it on, God.

  931. You just don't pray that way. But here's the

  932. deal. When we run into situations like this river

  933. for us as a church or for me as a leader or whatever

  934. the circumstance is in your life, we need times.

  935. where we don't just go to something because of

  936. the problem. I'm not coming to 21 days of fasting.

  937. God, you gotta do something. I've spent, I better

  938. do that. I've spent two and a half years crying,

  939. pleading, walking, coming down to this property

  940. at 3 a .m. in the morning, staying till seven

  941. or eight, praying up and down the river. I've

  942. done that. Now, what do I have to do? There's

  943. something that has to shift inside of me, right?

  944. Inside of us. To be able to say, okay, I know

  945. who you are and I'm convinced of your love and

  946. that you are answering. There's too many things

  947. that you've already answered now. I'm not giving

  948. up on the fact that I keep asking and reminding

  949. you of what you've said, but there's a shift

  950. of believing. Now I've got to get that into my

  951. spirit. And part of this fast is what? It's aligning

  952. my heart with who he is. It's the steeping power,

  953. if you will, of the water and the tea of being

  954. able to awaken. What Pastor Scott spoke on December

  955. 28th as I listened to it, it's the awakening.

  956. It's when he shared his notes and we talked about

  957. it and changed a few things. I said, Scott, this

  958. is important for what I've got to do the next

  959. year. I said, I need you to speak on this and

  960. you're gonna do a great job. Why? Because everybody

  961. gets comfortable. You can get comfortable in

  962. doing good things. You can get comfortable in

  963. your prayer life. You can get comfortable with

  964. how you read your word. You can get comfortable

  965. with your love for Jesus. Why would I come and

  966. do something that, because every one of us, we

  967. go in life to a place of comfortable. There's

  968. nobody wakes up and says, Lord, make me uncomfortable

  969. today. Fact is when we're uncomfortable, we pray

  970. that it be removed from us and that we go back

  971. to comfortable, right? So the whole point is,

  972. why would I fast? I fast food, entertainment,

  973. or things that are comfort to me to not just

  974. Jenny Craig it for Jesus, okay? Okay, and probably

  975. could use a little Jenny Craig right now. But

  976. the reality is to replace it with something.

  977. To replace it with a hunger that goes deep inside

  978. of me. Why? Because the very principle of Jesus'

  979. Sermon on the Mount was he said this. He said,

  980. those who hunger and thirst shall be filled.

  981. He wasn't talking about natural food. He was

  982. talking about spiritually. The question you have

  983. to ask yourself in this new year is, do I actually

  984. hunger? Do I have hunger pains in the spirit

  985. that I must hear him and be awakened on the inside?

  986. Do I thirst for that living water like I first

  987. did? And that's what the fast is about. It's

  988. about what? Removing the layers of the heart

  989. that have created a comfortability in whatever

  990. stage you're walking with Jesus. For my life,

  991. it might be different than your life, Brian.

  992. For your life, it might be different than Chelsea's

  993. life. I don't even know if I can even talk about

  994. that. No, I'm just messing with you. The reality

  995. is wherever you're at with Jesus, it's to peel

  996. back layers. Why? To awaken your ear to hear

  997. and your heart to long for him talking to you

  998. and bringing breakthrough. Not for the problem,

  999. but for you personally. And then it's in the

1000. midst of that issue where he talks to you. He

1001. reveals his scripture to you. You begin to see

1002. things that were there all along that you didn't

1003. see. That new insights come. New grace comes.

1004. New faith comes. To be able to pray in a different

1005. dimension than what you were. Having now fresh

1006. authority to speak to a circumstance that has

1007. been a long time circumstance. Are you there

1008. church? So what are we doing if I could have.

1009. Whoever's playing, Jenny, if that's you or whoever,

1010. you can jump on up there to the piano. What we're

1011. doing is, what I would like to suggest you to

1012. do is a Daniel fast. I'm not asking you to go

1013. three weeks without just water only. That's not

1014. what, most people can't do that. And I would

1015. recommend that we do a Daniel fast. What's a

1016. Daniel fast? Well, taken from the book of Daniel,

1017. Daniel said what? We are not gonna defile ourselves

1018. from the king's wine or from the king's table,

1019. meats or delicacies. Feed us vegetables. Now,

1020. you know me. Vegetables is not on the top priority

1021. normally. Now, I try to eat salad and broccoli

1022. and Jenny keeps me in asparagus and broccoli

1023. but I prefer not. But to remove now all meat,

1024. remove any forms of sweets as far as brownies

1025. and apple pie and I'm just going through right

1026. now, just doing a little morning ice cream. In

1027. that process of removing those things, why am

1028. I doing that? Because you know what comes with

1029. those things? Comfort and satisfaction. The reason

1030. I would... remove those things is to what? I'm

1031. going to now, and my wife says this all the time,

1032. God bless her heart. She says, well, some people,

1033. honey, they just, they eat to live, you live

1034. to eat. And I'm like, thanks, dear. But some

1035. people do. they would say, who are you? I'm a

1036. foodie. You can ask any of my kids. Dad is very

1037. particular on how he likes his coffee. He has

1038. to be an espresso shot in black coffee. He doesn't

1039. want any cream, doesn't want any sugar. The way

1040. he likes his eggs, there's a way. I always say

1041. there is a God's way of things being done. Exactly.

1042. Thank you, Troy. Spoken from another infidel

1043. like myself on food. But anyway. The reality

1044. is I'm changing what I normally do to just getting

1045. by in the natural to what? Spend the rest of

1046. the time reading and prayer and waiting. I can

1047. honestly tell you for me, the last week of being

1048. away, had I not had, and that might be just something

1049. for you going, I don't know if I could do three

1050. to four hours. Not having two to three hours.

1051. In time blocks. Now of course I used the restroom

1052. in between that time. It wasn't just like I was.

1053. Cloistered or in prison. But to have time. Where

1054. time wasn't pushing on me. Just to. Get into

1055. the presence. Because how many know when you

1056. first start. Every thought. Of what you need

1057. to do. What you should do. What you didn't do.

1058. What's waiting for you, people you need to call,

1059. people, things that need to be done, bills that

1060. get paid, dreams that you've had that you forgot.

1061. Everything gets thrown at you in your mind. Everything.

1062. The first day or two was just writing everything

1063. that came to my mind to get it out that it was

1064. down. Second day was about having to stay focused

1065. on picturing what the scriptures said about who

1066. Jesus is. And keeping my attention on him. Now

1067. if I do it. And I'm not. Please don't hear this.

1068. It's not a bragging. But this is the honesty

1069. of your lead pastor here. I don't have a problem

1070. praying half hour a day. Reading my Bible half

1071. hour a day. Spending an hour with the Lord. I've

1072. developed that discipline and lifestyle. And

1073. that's awesome. But it's the extended times that

1074. actually dig down deep and allow you now to go

1075. into that place where you get vulnerable. It

1076. took the Lord because of the condition. I had

1077. to ask Jenny multiple times. I said, I'm hearing

1078. this. And I said, in my heart, I want to make

1079. sure I'm hearing God. I know the verses. But

1080. I said, I'm gonna be vulnerable with you. I'm

1081. gonna have you check. I'm gonna give you my journal

1082. and I'm gonna write on there. I want you to read

1083. what I wrote and tell me if you believe I'm hearing

1084. God accurate. Because I said, I've known the

1085. Lord long enough for almost 50 years. I know

1086. the Bible. I wanna make sure that this is coming

1087. from the Holy Spirit, not just my mind knowing

1088. the truth. Listen, I allow myself to be checked.

1089. I don't think that I alone hear God by myself

1090. and nobody else can do that. That's why I call.

1091. I have my wife look at different things. I read

1092. it to Tony Kemp. I read it to Pastor Tim Karskad.

1093. I read it to a few other guys. I said, he goes,

1094. Tim goes, why are you asking me this? This is

1095. God through and through. I said, I believe that,

1096. but I needed to hear you say it because I wanted

1097. to make sure. that I'm not making something up.

1098. The biggest thing in my heart is to have integrity

1099. with the prophetic word and what God is speaking.

1100. And I just needed to lay it before you as being

1101. accountable. Why? Because when I step in front

1102. of that pulpit, when I come back from this encounter,

1103. I've got to believe and know that God has spoken

1104. and is speaking. And what I'm saying, I'm saying

1105. from the fact that I engaged him, encountered

1106. him, and his word is absolutely true on the inside.

1107. I say that to tell you, it took me three days,

1108. four or five hours a day to get to that point

1109. to know that I know that I know. And I know if

1110. that can happen in my life where I'm in the word

1111. of God on a weekly basis. Sometimes I'm studying

1112. for 20 hours a week. That if that can happen

1113. at 20 hours a week in prayer for an hour a day,

1114. every day in my Bible reading, that it can happen

1115. to all of us when pressure seasons come on and

1116. things pile on and we don't realize sometimes

1117. the numbness or the layers that come in. And

  1118. that's why we're fasting. We're fasting to get

1119. our heart awakened. We're fasting to get hungry

1120. for the things of God. Yes, I want you to...

1121. Ask for miracle provision. Yes, I want you to

1122. ask for a breakthrough for the church and for

1123. this river and for what we've stepped into by

1124. faith as a church together. And we'll talk more

1125. about that in the weeks to come. But I want you

1126. to get hungry for you. I want you to have a passion.

1127. to hear God's voice in his presence, that it

1128. would so deepen you that wherever now you go,

1129. you're quickened at a new level, that things

1130. that used to be standoffish to you won't be standoffish

1131. to you in this season. You'll look at them with

1132. new eyes of faith and say, my God is faithful

1133. and his love for me. He hears me when I pray.

1134. How many would agree that you could partner with

1135. that and we can partner together? Would you stand

1136. with me? We're gonna be giving you books at the

1137. end of service. fasting books but I want to pray

1138. for this hunger and this thirst in this next

1139. three weeks leading up to life conference that

1140. in 2026 would be a year of prevailing not only

1141. prevailing for us as a congregation but the only

1142. way we prevail as a congregation is you prevail

1143. individually you prevail in your Time with God.

1144. You prevail in your relationship with your spouse.

1145. You prevail in the things that are standing before

1146. you. That God meets you and strength and virtue

1147. and faith and joy and grace come to your heart.

1148. That's how we prevail in him. So Father, in Jesus

1149. name, as your people are standing, I thank you

1150. that you've heard me. I thank you that you know

1151. me. I thank you that you know your people. God,

1152. you have come to show yourself strong in 2026.

1153. This is a year of prevailing, which means prevail,

1154. which means to succeed. It means to overcome.

1155. It means to triumph. It means to break through.

1156. And Lord, I'm asking now in the name of Jesus

1157. that the atmosphere of heaven, and I feel it

1158. right now, open up over us. And there would be

1159. faith that would be dropped into our hearts,

1160. strength and virtue. that the Spirit of God would

1161. come upon us. Lord, keep us. Lord, remove from

1162. us every form of pride, every form of self -righteousness

1163. and justification. And God, that we would allow

1164. you to speak, not into our own hearts by our

1165. own hearing, but to those that are... beside

1166. us and over us with the Lord that we could actually

1167. be accountable to what we're hearing so that

1168. it would be true and it would be deep. Lay us

1169. bare not to destroy us, but to take us forward,

1170. to break us into new victories and new grace.

1171. We love you this morning, Jesus. And we thank

1172. you for what you're about to do. We thank you

1173. in advance for the miraculous provision. And

1174. Lord, for the saving of this property, not only

1175. for ministry now, but for future generations.

1176. We claim our inheritance in Jesus Christ's holy

1177. name. Amen. Thank you for taking the time to

1178. listen to this week's message. We are so grateful

1179. for those who tune in each week and have given
