  1. Welcome to Transformation Church Podcast, where we represent God to

  2. the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so

  3. glad you're here and wherever you're listening from, we believe

  4. God will transform your life. Do today's message.

  5. All right, We're gonna jump into the word today.

  6. Are y'all ready for the word? All right?

  7. We're gonna jump in.

  8. If you have your Bibles, open them up to Romans.

  9. Romans chapter six is where we're gonna be. We are

  10. in week four of a series called God Chose You.

  11. That is right in case you didn't know.

  12. The God of the universe, the God that put the

  13. stars in the sky, the God who created animals in

  14. the ocean. We still ain't discovered yet, just the flex

  15. on who I don't know because we ain't gonna discover him.

  16. But he's like Jesic, so you know, I got it.

  17. I created seventy million species of butterflies because I can

  18. that God is the same God the Bible tells us

  19. has put your life together in such a specific way

  20. and chosen you to be in the family you're in,

  21. in the situation you're in, giving you the strength, the courage,

  22. and the power to do exactly what He has called.

  23. And created you to do.

  24. God has chosen you. The question is will you choose you?

  25. The jury is still out on that one, and that

  26. is what we're gonna talk about a little bit today.

  27. But in your bibles. Romans chapter six, we're gonna read

  28. a good chunk of scripture here, and we are where

  29. we're at here, Okay, Romans chapter six. We'll start in

  30. let's see here. Let's start in verse fifteen. I think

  31. I told y'all verse sixteen. My bad, Melissa. Anytime the

  32. stuff is wrong on the screens when I'm preaching is

  33. always me because I just be flipping through this book,

  34. grabbing stuff on the way. So we'll start in verse fifteen,

  35. says this Romans chapter six. Well, then, since God's grace

  36. has set us free from the law, does that mean

  37. we can go on sinning?

  38. Because this is.

  39. Obvi, this ain't even my sorry, but some people feel like, well,

  40. if you preach too much grace, people are gonna start sinning.

  41. So they need to know. You can't tell them they

  42. got too much grace because what if people find a

  43. license to sin? Let me tell you, some brother, people

  44. don't need a license to sin. You worried about them

  45. finding out God loves them too much and they might

  46. get too free. Don't make no sense anyways, Moving right along.

  47. Maybe that's why I didn't include verse fifteen, because the

  48. Lord knew I was gonna go on that ramp. Anyways,

  49. Verse sixteen. Don't you realize that you become the slave

  50. of whatever you choose to obey. You can either be

  51. a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you

  52. can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living.

  53. Thank God. Once you were slaves of sin, but now

  54. wholeheartedly you obey the teaching that we have given you.

  55. Now you are free from your slavery to sin, and

  56. you have become slaves to righteous living because of the

  57. weakness of your human nature. I am using the illustration

  58. of slavery to help you understand. Previously, you let yourselves

  59. be slaves to impurity and lawlessness, which led to you

  60. deeper into sin. Now you must give yourselves to be

  61. slaves to righteous living.

  62. So that you will become holy.

  63. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from

  64. the obligation to do right.

  65. And what was the result. You are now ashamed of

  66. the things you used to do. Come on, somebody. He's like,

  67. y'all gotta be honest. Don't be playing me.

  68. Now.

  69. Y'all used to be on these streets. But now you

  70. are free from the power of.

  71. Sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do

  72. those things that lead to holiness and results in eternal life.

  73. For the wages of sin is death.

  74. But the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ.

  75. Jesus, our Lord, and the.

  76. Church said Amen. Title of my sermon today, if you're

  77. taking notes, write it down. Who will you be? Who

  78. are you going to be? Lor We thank you for

  79. this moment to gather around your word, to worship you,

  80. and for you to do something in us that man

  81. can't do. Accomplishment can't do that. We cannot muster up ourselves.

  82. We need a moment with you that will change and

  83. transform us from the inside out. We believe all these

  84. things in Jesus name. And everybody said Amen. Amen. I

  85. recently became an author, been an author for like nineteen days. Now.

  86. It's great out here.

  87. Cause you're thinking about joining. I would encourage you highly recommended.

  88. But one of the things is people has been still

  89. I'm getting used to it, honestly, is people ask me

  90. to sign their book, and we've had a couple of

  91. book signings, and honestly, it's been awesome just meeting people

  92. and talking to people. And I was signing one person's

  93. book and they looked at my signature and they were like, dang,

  94. You've really been working on that, haven't you. And I said,

  95. let me tell you something.

  96. I've been working on my signature since two.

  97. Thousand and three, when I thought I was gonna be

  98. the next Alan Iverson. So I have been working on

  99. this signature for a long time.

  100. Not using it for what I thought I would, but

  101. thank god, somebody want my signature.

  102. Not for a check that will bounce hello somebody. But

  103. I looked up I was talking about them about making

  104. it to the NBA, and I was having a conversation

  105. with one of my friends about you know, the chances

  106. you think you have when you're in your driveway shooting basketball.

  107. The odds feel a lot more in your favor when

  108. you and your backyard playing against your brother who's eight

  109. years younger than you.

  110. It feels like, you know what, I might actually make it.

  111. This is crazy, but I looked up the odds of

  112. making it, and according to Chad GPT could be lying

  113. to me. I don't know, but we're all trusting it.

  114. So it's the equal lie. So what does it really matter?

  115. But six hundred thousand high school basketball players and in

  116. the draft there's sixty slots. Point zero one percent are

  117. the odds of you going in the draft? Now, I'm

  118. not here to discourage nobody dreams because God tolds you.

  119. You hear what I'm saying, and the facts are it's

  120. point oh one percent. But this past week, the NBA

  121. draft happened. A couple of weeks ago, and there was

  122. the number one draft pick. Cooper Flag went number one,

  123. and you got a sixty two million dollar contract, and

  124. somebody are like, dang, I might be trying to play

  125. some basketball, and uh, I was thinking about how crazy

  126. it is that he got chosen to go number one,

  127. and how his life's changed in an instance, And then

  128. I started thinking about all the number one draft picks

  129. that have happened. There have been some amazing hoopers that

  130. have come through the NBA and SID this morning, for

  131. my illustration, I'm gonna put up some of the best

  132. and my favorite number one draft picks, and we're gonna

  133. see who y'all know, and you gotta cheer for your

  134. favorite number one draft pick. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay,

  135. go ahead, put the first one on number one draft pick.

  136. I think it's nineteen seventy two, LaRue Martin. Oh, come on, y'all,

  137. ain't gonna ya, Ain't got nothing for LaRue. LaRue got

  138. drafted before Doctor j y'all out here hayting on LaRue? Okay?

  139. What about Kawan Brown.

  140. Two thousand and one?

  141. Come on, kawal mee?

  142. Okay, my bad, Come on, he got drafted before he

  143. found somebody to do them brains. But Michael Ola with

  144. a candy nineteen ninety eight, boo, what's your boy?

  145. You don't even you don't even know it? What's you're booring?

  146. Okay?

  147. Who else we got on a draft list?

  148. Okay?

  149. Anthony Bennet he got drafted before Giannis number one draft.

  150. Okay, y'all surely gonna know this one last one? Sam

  151. Bowie drafted before Michael Jordan. Okay, Charles, what's your point? Oh?

  152. Trust me, you're about to see one of the craziest

  153. transitions ever.

  154. Just because you're chosen.

  155. Does not guarantee any of them a championship. Just because

  156. you got picked does not mean you will, without a doubt,

  157. reach your potential. Just because someone has chosen you because

  158. they saw what was on the inside of you, and

  159. that you knew what you had, what it took, and

  160. they knew the greatness and they saw the workouts and

  161. they did it. Just because you're chosen does not mean

  162. you are guaranteed.

  163. And we talk about some of these draft picks.

  164. The reason you don't recognize them is because they had

  165. a moment where they were drafted and by all of

  166. the lists and measures, it made sense. Sambury's drafted before

  167. Michael Jordan to go down one of the greatest basketball

  168. players of all time. Cooper Flagg just got drafted number one.

  169. But guess what, He's still gotta go to summer workouts

  170. and he's still gotta see Will it translate from the choice?

  171. Will it translate from the.

  172. Opportunity to an actual outcome?

  173. This morning, I want to talk to you today that

  174. we have established and if you have not embraced it yet,

  175. you need to know you have been chosen by God.

  176. This is not up for debate. This is not a theory,

  177. This is not an idea, This.

  178. Is not just a Good Sermon Series.

  179. This is theologically and for all intentsive purposes, the greatest

  180. truth in your life. That the God of the universe

  181. picked you, chose you. The Bible says, he gives us

  182. the power and the desire to.

  183. Do what pleases him.

  184. God has chosen you. Estion is who will you be?

  185. Because here's the reality for everybody in this room. After

  186. you embrace the freedom that comes with God chose me,

  187. you still have to decide who you're gonna be. And

  188. many of us, if you're not careful, you think that

  189. God choosing you guarantees you an outcome. That's not how

  190. it works. God choosing you guarantees you an opportunity. These

  191. are two different things. I'm trying to help you this morning.

  192. Just because you have been given the opportunity does not

  193. mean you're gonna actually believe it for yourself and put

  194. the work in yourself and show up as yourself to

  195. actually do and be who God has called you to be. Now,

  196. in the case of these NBA players, it is a

  197. very different story in the fact that if they don't

  198. reach and do what they're supposed to do, they're gonna

  199. get either traded or released back into what are they doing?

  200. God never does that with you. He will never throw

  201. you away, He will never.

  202. Get rid of you. My question, how much potential have

  203. you left on the table? How much of you is

  204. on the table of what things you were supposed to do,

  205. that were in your capability to do, but because you

  206. couldn't believe it, because you didn't wrestle with it, because

  207. you didn't think it of yourself, because nobody in your

  208. family had ever done it, because nobody would support you,

  209. because people didn't like your posts, because of whatever reason.

  210. How much have you left on the table? How much

  211. in you is the world waiting on? And God has

  212. set time up and set people up and set life

  213. up in such a way that he's saying, Okay, this

  214. is the moment. I've picked you, I've called you out.

  215. You're my first draft, You're the one I'm banking on.

  216. But we stand at the starting line wrestling with well,

  217. I just don't know if I can do it. I

  218. just don't know if I have it. I just don't

  219. know what.

  220. Happens if I and what do I do with this?

  221. And what do I do that?

  222. And the question this morning is what and who are

  223. you going to be?

  224. See the question.

  225. I found that many of us we start off when

  226. God chooses us and when we have something that He's

  227. called us to do, we start off, honestly, many times,

  228. and I'll speak for myself, I start off.

  229. Asking the wrong question. Here's the wrong question.

  230. When you first start off and God choose you to

  231. do something, he calls you and said, okay, this is

  232. what I have for you. The first thing you go

  233. to I was, Okay, what do I need to do?

  234. God comes here. You have a moment, you're sitting in

  235. worship or you come to prayer, and it's like, okay,

  236. you heard pass.

  237. A Bree, we tell that beautiful story.

  238. Devin, what up?

  239. Devin's good to see you, brother.

  240. He tells his story about God changed his life through tribes,

  241. and Bree's like, all you need to lead a tribe?

  242. And your first thought is, okay, what do I need

  243. to do? I need to scan the QR card. Dang,

  244. I got this android. The QR codes don't always work

  245. with the android.

  246. Let me no, I'm joking. I'm joking. I'm joking. Dang,

  247. A lot more people got androids. That joke used to fly.

  248. Now you're like, hey, but you immediately go Okay, what

  249. do I need to do? Okay, and you start going

  250. through your list stuff to do is to see if

  251. you're qualified to do it or not.

  252. Okay, do I have a space to do this thing?

  253. What am I gonna Where am I gonna teach him?

  254. What am I gonna say? What I'm gonna wear? My

  255. house mail a litt funny because I got eight cats?

  256. What am I gonna do about eight cats?

  257. And you start going through all the things, what am

  258. I going to do? The only problem is what you

  259. are going to do is based out of who you are.

  260. A better question is who am I going to be?

  261. What type of leader am I gonna become?

  262. What type of person? And I'm gonna be?

  263. For people when they share something, you have to start.

  264. With the question of who are you going to be?

  265. Who a you're gonna be? Because here's the difference.

  266. Many of us. It's easier to think, Okay, if I

  267. need to do something, I just need to change what

  268. I'm doing. If I change what I'm doing, then it

  269. will feel different.

  270. It's not the case. The truth is who you are.

  271. Is always gonna shape what you do, how you think,

  272. how you operate. And here's the thing. What you're doing

  273. is really just gonna take you planning on your calendar.

  274. Who you're becoming is about your character. These are totally

  275. different things. What you're doing is about just can I

  276. work in some time to do something different so that

  277. way I can reach what God's called me to reach.

  278. Let me tell you, God is not giving you and

  279. choosing you to give you a to do list so

  280. you can just act like you're someone different. He wants

  281. to change you from the inside out, so you become

  282. a different person, so then you can do different things.

  283. I'll illustrate it this way, y'all remember back in school

  284. with it. Do they still do yearbooks? I don't know.

  285. Do they be doing yearbook? They do?

  286. Yes? No, okay, don't be looking at me crazy. That

  287. stuff they don't be doing.

  288. All kids now got laptops.

  289. In school, we didn't have no laptops.

  290. But anyways, when you had.

  291. Your yearbook, they would write and sign it. And there

  292. was one of the worst piece of advice you could

  293. ever get as a sixth grader, never change. Some of

  294. y'all took that to heart a little too much, but

  295. the advice was, hey, stay who you are right now.

  296. As comfortable as that would feel. The truth is, you know,

  297. and I know, for you to do some things you

  298. really want to do, you have to become somebody different.

  299. I heard it said. I was having a conversation the

  300. other day and somebody said, if you want to do

  301. something you've never done, you have to be willing to

  302. become someone you've never been. And many of us just

  303. want to try to do something different without becoming somebody different,

  304. because the truth is, if you want to become a

  305. different person, it's gonna cost you something. It's gonna cost

  306. you some where you get your.

  307. Security and identity.

  308. It's gonna cost you some discipline. It's gonna cost you

  309. some things. And we have to talk about this because

  310. the scripture Paul is talking about, he's talking to people

  311. about this idea of freedom here in America. We just

  312. celebrated the fourth of July. Some you almost blew your

  313. fingers off trying to set off fireworks. No, Lie, I

  314. was at my friend's house and we went and we

  315. got kids, so we got the little kiddy fireworks. You know,

  316. I'm not trying to be I'm passed trying to blow

  317. my hands off.

  318. I don't need to do that, no more so.

  319. I got and I was like, okay, look at these guys.

  320. We got four different colored smoke bombs for all the kids.

  321. So I set up the smoke bombs. I lie them.

  322. I'm like, all right, God, I'm standing like right here.

  323. I was like, here's that go, and it's like and lit.

  324. It was not a smoke bomb. And so everybody doctor

  325. gay would shooting stuff up in tree. It was a

  326. bad situation, but it just it felt like it was

  327. supposed to be a smoke Hey, gonna make something that's

  328. all one color and it's not a smoke bomb anyways,

  329. But it's fourth of July. I was talking about freedom,

  330. and I think many of us when it comes to

  331. who we're gonna be. Here's the truth is, you gotta

  332. deal with this word freedom because in our Western culture

  333. and just the world, the way you define freedom is

  334. I can do what I want, when I want, how

  335. I want. That's what it feels like to be free.

  336. Some of y'all in school right now, maybe you're in

  337. high school or middle school, and you're like, man, I

  338. can't wait to get grown, So I'm gonna eat what

  339. I want when I won't. Let me, first of all,

  340. tell you ain't gonna have no money. You're gonna be

  341. eating Ramen noodles when you can, when you get it.

  342. You know what I'm saying.

  343. You're gonna be eating whatever you can get, whenever you

  344. can get it. But we have this idea, and we

  345. raise our kids with this idea that at some point

  346. you'll be able to do what you want when you want.

  347. And if you're not careful, you will mix that definition

  348. with freedom, with scripture that says who.

  349. The son is set free is free indeed. And now

  350. you think God choosing you and God.

  351. Equipping you is license to do what you want when

  352. you want. And I've heard some people I've had to

  353. even as I was writing the book, people are like, yeah,

  354. God chose me, so y'all can't try to change me.

  355. It's like, okay, yeah, okay, yes, and.

  356. God chose you how you were, but He loves you

  357. too much and your purpose is too important for you

  358. to use that as an excuse to not grow, develop

  359. and become the person that the world is waiting on.

  360. Do not get it twisted. The idea that God has

  361. chosen you is not a license to do whatever you want.

  362. I just you know, God told me so. I don't

  363. care what y'all think. Okay, And I preached a couple

  364. of weeks ago about pleasing people. We ain't here to

  365. please people, but you should be considerate of people. Somebody

  366. be like, God chose me. I don't care about nobody,

  367. forget them. They don't know nothing. Well, they might know something,

  368. So before you use that as a means to get

  369. out of watch this accountability and responsibility, because this is

  370. what we love to do. We love to put God's

  371. name on stuff he never did, just so we don't

  372. have to be accountable to nobody. Oh I'm not even

  373. gonna go there, but some of us will be doing that.

  374. I would preach to send you for a couple of

  375. weeks ago.

  376. I ain't been back in a while, so I think

  377. I did too much. But my role I told this

  378. to tire youth pastor. I said, my role in saying

  379. youth is to be the wild uncle that just come

  380. in and say stuff.

  381. That can't really be said.

  382. I'm like, well, y'all having sex with people?

  383. What y'all doing? And they're all like, some of y'all

  384. got nervous, y'all grown.

  385. I just said that to you, like, oh my god.

  386. It's true.

  387. Man, who's gonna ask him? Somebody gonna ask them direct questions.

  388. Sixth grader in a group talking about I gotta.

  389. Unspoken brother, you looked upon and we know what you did.

  390. Quit with the unspoken.

  391. Some of y'all in you tribe. I got a six unspoken.

  392. So it's like, okay, brother, you are a gambler and

  393. you need to admit that.

  394. Okay.

  395. We love to do that church, though, we use all

  396. these God cards and facades to get out of what's

  397. really going on. And if you don't address what's really

  398. going on, you're not gonna get the real healing that

  399. you need. This is not the place where you act like, yeah,

  400. I'm fine and it's cool and we good. No, it's not.

  401. And I don't know who you're doing that for. But

  402. once you realize God has chosen you and he loves

  403. you where you are, you then have the steadfastest and

  404. the courage and continue to stay. Okay, I realize he

  405. loves me where I'm where I am, but I cannot

  406. stay here. And this is the message I want to

  407. get to today. Some of you, you have been where

  408. you are for too long, and what you don't realize

  409. is it's costing you too much. You not becoming the

  410. better and best version of yourself is costing the world,

  411. your kids, your family, and your marriage way too much.

  412. If we can lay it out on the table and

  413. you could see, Okay, if you do this, it'll equal

  414. that some of us be so disappointed to see what

  415. have we left on the table because we wanted to

  416. be free. I just want to do what I want

  417. to do when I want to do it. I don't

  418. want nobody telling me what to do. And that's fine,

  419. except for when you come into contact with Romans chapter six.

  420. Now I have to tread lightly here because there's some

  421. strong language in this scripture.

  422. But I have to teach you something.

  423. Just because the Bible says something strong doesn't mean it's wrong.

  424. Just because it says something you don't like and maybe

  425. don't understand yet does not give us a license to

  426. scoot around it and act like that's not what it says.

  427. We will do this. We'll read parts of scripture.

  428. And it's like, oh yeah, it definitely don't mean that

  429. present your bodies as a living sacrifice. Like oh yeah, yeah,

  430. you know, but not really, you know what I'm saying.

  431. Just when you're in worship. There's really what he's talking about.

  432. When youre in worship, you live your hands. That's like God, Yes, Lord,

  433. that's really what he's talking about. In this scripture, Paul,

  434. he starts using this language in this word a slave

  435. to righteous living. As a matter of fact, if you

  436. go read throughout scripture, Paul calls himself a slave of Christ.

  437. This was common language in the New Testament. Now because

  438. of American history, I have to stop it. Acknowledge the intensity,

  439. the gravity, and the horrific nature that this word as

  440. connotation can carry. And I want to acknowledge that. I

  441. also want to go to the original language and the

  442. original intent of what Paul is trying to communicate to

  443. a group of people to understand what it means to

  444. follow Jesus. Paul's using this word slave. Another word he

  445. would use is bond servant. In this time, there's a

  446. lot of different ways that this could go. One of

  447. the ways would be people we can read about this

  448. in the Old Testament, people to pay off debt would

  449. become a servant, like, Hey, I ain't got the money,

  450. you know, I'll get you tea every Tuesday for the

  451. next fifteen years.

  452. We consider it a deal.

  453. He says, you have to become You used to be

  454. a slave to sin. You used to be a slave

  455. to your impulse. You used to be a slave to

  456. whatever you were feeling. It's funny if you read his scripture.

  457. What he's describing is what many of us think is freedom.

  458. See many of us think when you're free. What you

  459. think is I'm free to do what I want when

  460. I want.

  461. That's not freedom. That's a slave to impulse.

  462. You're not free.

  463. You're a slave to your emotions. Because you pop off

  464. and say whatever you want, whenever you want to whoever

  465. you want.

  466. You are not free. You're a slave to whatever you're

  467. feeling in that moment I'm gonna do. I will be

  468. with who I want to be. No, you're a slave

  469. to how you feel and your desires. You're not free.

  470. You're a slave to your desires. I ain't nobody gonna

  471. tell it. You're a slave to people pleasing. That's why

  472. you don't do certain things. Let's not act like we

  473. all ain't got one master. Whether you acknowledge or not,

  474. you got a master.

  475. Ain't nobody tell me what to do.

  476. Okay, except for that feeling in you that wasn't addressed

  477. when you were a kid. It makes you overcompensate by

  478. talking down to people because you felt like nobody saw you.

  479. You're a slave to what happened you when when you

  480. were a child. Don't act like you being and bad.

  481. We all have a master. He starts using this language

  482. of hey, you used to be a slave to sin.

  483. You used to be a slave to the lesser version

  484. of yourself. But God has chosen you. He has picked you,

  485. He has given you true freedom. And here is true freedom.

  486. True freedom is not doing whatever you want when you want.

  487. True freedom is the opportunity to choose who you want

  488. to be. Because without this freedom, you don't have a choice.

  489. Without grace, you're always gonna do the thing you don't

  490. want to do. Without the Holy Spirit, you're always gonna.

  491. Fall to your desires.

  492. Without his empowerment, You're not gonna be able to keep

  493. the marriage together.

  494. Without his joy on the inside of you.

  495. Always will fall subject to depression. And this is we

  496. have to be careful because many of us think more

  497. of ourself than we should. We think without his grace,

  498. there's some stuff we can still be doing. The truth is.

  499. Without his grace, you don't have a choice. This is straight,

  500. but it's true without his grace.

  501. As a matter of fact, Roman sixteen, Roman six sixteen.

  502. The Passion translation team do you have that? Can you

  503. throw that up there for me?

  504. It says this in the Passion translation is so beautiful.

  505. Look what it says.

  506. Don't you realize that Grace frees you to choose your

  507. own master, but choose carefully, For you surrender yourself to

  508. become a servant, bound to.

  509. The one you choose to obey.

  510. Grace gives you the option to choose who you want

  511. to serve. Without his grace, you're gonna serve yourself. You're

  512. gonna serve your desires. You're gonna serve what you want.

  513. You're gonna serve. But when Grace empowers you, he says,

  514. I am the master that gives you the opportunity to

  515. become something different, to become, an opportunity to be a

  516. man that was never in the line of the men

  517. in your family. I give you the opportunity to start

  518. a business, even though everybody else has tried and it's failed.

  519. I've empowered you. The question is who will you be?

  520. How will you live?

  521. What decisions will you make and you have to address

  522. the truth of am I willing? This is strong language?

  523. Am I willing to become a slave of Christ? Now?

  524. These aren't the messages that usually people start doing laps

  525. on and the organ is gonna kick on.

  526. That's not gonna happen with this one.

  527. But it is the message that empowers you to become

  528. that version of.

  529. Yourself you think is possible.

  530. Right now, because here's some of the key details of

  531. the original language and words that he is using to

  532. become a slave in this.

  533. Concert, and say, I the will that I.

  534. Have is surrendered to my master's will. The identity I

  535. have is surrendered to my master's identity.

  536. And depending on who your master is, this is.

  537. Either terrible news or the greatest news you've ever heard.

  538. Some of us this idea, it's so hard to wrestle with,

  539. and I understand it.

  540. But can I free you for a second to think, If.

  541. You want to become someone better, you've got to have

  542. a master who's better than you. If you want to

  543. become somebody different, you've got to have a master who

  544. knows more than you. Any person that does anything at

  545. any elite level, anybody who's mastered something knows this. People

  546. who have mastered basketball don't eat whatever they want whenever

  547. they want to eat it. They know. If I want

  548. to master this, I have to have a master who's better.

  549. There are a basketball player who are professional giddy Cooper

  550. Flag who got paid sixty two million dollars. It's going

  551. to go pay some six y two of the white

  552. guy to look at his foot when he shoots and

  553. tell him, hey, your foots that. Don't put your foot there.

  554. Can't nobody tell me what to do. I'm a pro.

  555. I made it, and that is the exact idea that

  556. will have you in that contract and out of that contract.

  557. It's the exact same idea that will keep you in

  558. the same cycles of insecurity. It is that exact idea

  559. that'll keep you in the same cycles of marriage breakdowns.

  560. It's that exact idea. The question is is who who

  561. are you gonna become?

  562. Are you gonna embrace the choice? God gives you this message?

  563. The origin of this was I really felt this.

  564. Conviction of like man, I just here's here's what I felt.

  565. I'll read it Galatians five, chapter one. So sorry, Melissa

  566. didn't give you this one either, But it's all right

  567. Galatians five, Chapter one.

  568. So Christ has set us free, that's the one everybody loves.

  569. This is where the accountability comes.

  570. Now make sure you stay free. Freedom is not the issue.

  571. It's who you gonna be once you get free. I'm

  572. trying to tell listen, being free is not the issue.

  573. It's who are you gonna be once you get free?

  574. And many of us have been bound for so long.

  575. You haven't thought past what happens when I get out

  576. of the cycle of talking to everybody and just sleeping

  577. with anybody. Who am I going to be when I

  578. get married? You ain't thought about that? You just okay, yeah,

  579. you know what I'm saying. I just want God to

  580. get me out of this cycle and I'm gonna get free. Okay,

  581. he gonna let you free. But if you haven't decided

  582. to become a person of integrity, it don't matter how

  583. many times he sets you free, because you're gonna go

  584. right back to the same thing.

  585. It's not about what you're doing, it's who are you

  586. going to be.

  587. The truth is, if you want to see something different

  588. in your life, if you want to walk to the

  589. fullness of the power of understanding, God has chosen you.

  590. You're gonna have to make some decisions to say, Okay,

  591. he chose me, Now I gotta be somebody different. Because

  592. here's the trick. You're not trying to be somebody different

  593. so that he chooses you. Let me get that straight.

  594. Some of y'all, all your action and following, Jesus is

  595. hoping that.

  596. If I read enough scripture, if I pray enough, if.

  597. I do enough, then he'll choose me. That's not how

  598. he works. He chooses you, then he's empowers you to

  599. become somebody different. You have to decide who you're gonna

  600. be now, what you're gonna do. I just need to

  601. stop doing this thing. You're doing that thing because you

  602. don't know who you are. You figure out who you are.

  603. These type of people don't do those type of things.

  604. Oh, I'm trying to help.

  605. You, okay, if you are going to get free for real? Again,

  606. this is strong. But I'm just up here and I

  607. got the mic, And if you don't like it, I

  608. tried my.

  609. Best, but I said it earlier.

  610. But the truth is, if you're going to master anything,

  611. if you're going to grow in anything, the option is

  612. not am I slaver or am I free?

  613. Am I a bond servant? Am I free?

  614. The question is, like I said, have I chosen a

  615. better master? My friend Will, he's sitting on the front row,

  616. Will hackmebok. He's the associate campus pastor here. Will lost

  617. a whole me in weight, literally much as that way,

  618. how much way he lost? Will would tell you to

  619. become free in his health. He has become a slave

  620. to working out to become free in his health. He

  621. has decided to become bound, to become under control, to

  622. become in context with and unity with eating certain things

  623. and not eating other things. You do not grow in

  624. your health and make a massive transferm without deciding. I'm

  625. choosing some things that are better for me and some

  626. better things that get this the language of why master

  627. is important because I'm gonna do it whether I feel

  628. like doing it or not. This is what it means

  629. to truly surrender your life. If you are going to

  630. follow Jesus, if you want something different in your life,

  631. you're gonna have to take the attitude of a servant.

  632. I do not serve my desires. I serve this discipline.

  633. I don't read the Bible when I feel like it.

  634. That's not the times I read the Bible. Everybody read

  635. the Bible when they feel like it. If you want

  636. to become something different, it's what do you do when

  637. you don't feel like it? How do you act when

  638. you don't feel like acting the right way? How do

  639. you talk to people when you don't feel like being kind?

  640. How do you treat your wife when you're mad at

  641. your wife?

  642. How do you talk to.

  643. Your kids when you feel they are on your last nerve?

  644. This is the area that we have to talk about.

  645. In this area, you cannot fake and you cannot use

  646. religion and good deals and will power to consider this area.

  647. This is the area of where all our downfall is

  648. is when it's hard, when it's difficult, when we're frustrated

  649. and we don't want to do anything, we result to

  650. what to who we are. I'll tell y'all a real

  651. story because it's the only way. The other day, me

  652. and my wife we were navigating something and there was

  653. a moment No, no, I'm not I'm not gonna tell

  654. I want to go tell that story.

  655. It's the other story.

  656. Uh, there was a moment where I had thought that

  657. something had happened that didn't happen. Let me I'm trying

  658. to tell a story because my son's going to see

  659. this thing.

  660. Anyway.

  661. Okay, we thought somebody for a second took my son's bike.

  662. We have recovered the bike, so just but let me

  663. tell you where your friend went.

  664. When I thought, my wife she said, hey, have you

  665. seen blah blah blah blah.

  666. And she's like, hey, it's it's not out there, And

  667. I said, WHOA, what you mean it's not I wear

  668. where we left it. I go out there immediately when

  669. I saw what was there, Immediately, the ghetto crazy.

  670. Side of me kicked in.

  671. The First thing I did is I sent a text

  672. to two of my unnamed friends who have weapons.

  673. That's where I went straight to weapons. Man, I'm not

  674. proud of it.

  675. So I went straight to oh you took my six

  676. year old's bike.

  677. You think this is a game. I have friends.

  678. I'm not lying. I'm not proud of it, but that's

  679. where I went.

  680. Then I went to.

  681. Crags list because I know people out here trapping is

  682. trying to steal stuff posted on craigs List talking about

  683. I'm selling this bike. I was gonna be like, hey, brother,

  684. I'm interested. Where you want to meet at I'll pay

  685. one thousand dollars right now for that bike, and then

  686. y'all would have seen me in the news.

  687. Here's that's really what happened.

  688. I was and then we found a bike and I

  689. was like, all right, yo, yo yo.

  690. Just cheer y'all foss alone.

  691. My bad, my bad, my band. Here's what I realized,

  692. though the person I became there was a reflection of something.

  693. That was in me.

  694. How angry I got over a six year old bike,

  695. was like, I will throw this all away. I don't

  696. care about no book. I will go beat somebody with

  697. a book if you gonna take my son's. But like,

  698. here's what I'm saying. Whatever that area is for you,

  699. wherever it feels like it goes right because we all

  700. cool up until a point you and a arguing with

  701. your spouse. You're like, yeah, no, I understand. And then

  702. they say that one thing and you're like, hey.

  703. Hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey hey.

  704. Hey listen, listen, listen, listen, listen.

  705. I will.

  706. What if I told you that area is where some

  707. of the most significant part of your purpose in transformation lies.

  708. Wherever you go to where you stop being a slave

  709. to Christ and you go back to being a slave

  710. to your impulse and desire. Wherever you stop, where you

  711. forget who you are and you go back to doing

  712. what makes you feel good. Whenever you forget that God's

  713. given you everything you need and you start questioning yourself,

  714. whenever you forget who you are and how amaze you

  715. and you fall subject to fear and whatever you fall

  716. to that place, won't you do There is a reflection

  717. of who you are. And I'm not going to sit

  718. up here in church and give you a list of

  719. things to do if you haven't changed who you are.

  720. That's why church is so frustrating for some of you,

  721. because you haven't become a different person. So you go

  722. home and try to do my three points and it

  723. don't work. Well, I did what they did, and I'm

  724. giving them money, and I'm fascinating the mind. Drink the

  725. kool aid, and I did the stuff, and I broke

  726. a little cracker, and I took communion and I ain't

  727. what's going on because you haven't become a different person.

  728. This is why Jesus in the New Testament, he's talking

  729. to his disciples, and he said, nobody could come and

  730. follow me unless you've been born again, and they're like,

  731. how we technically gonna be born again?

  732. You know, we can't go back into the wound. God,

  733. that's kind of crazy.

  734. That's how you know they was all teenagers.

  735. They're just asking crazy.

  736. Questions and He's like, you don't, you don't you don't

  737. understand that you have to. This is why if you

  738. go on. In scripture, it says I have died. I've

  739. died with Christ, and I've also been back to life,

  740. brought back to life in Christ.

  741. I am a different person.

  742. The old has gone and the new is here.

  743. That's not just for baptism.

  744. That's an everyday decision in our life.

  745. You have to decide to put that version of you

  746. to death.

  747. If you're gonna embrace that, God shows you that version

  748. of you that does not I want to listen to

  749. what he's telling you to do. You got to kill

  750. that person every day. And I say it, that's strong,

  751. because that's exactly how it needs to be. Many of

  752. us we coddle this person, well, you know, they's been

  753. through a lot and just got some traumas.

  754. They are trying to kill your family.

  755. Your purpose, your confidence. Do not play games with this,

  756. Do not give it room or space.

  757. Just to sit around.

  758. Some of us, there are habits that are ravaging your

  759. mind and your spirit and your soul and your family

  760. and your marriage, and we're not staying free. That is

  761. the issue. It's not that we can't come up to

  762. the alter and have a moment where we pray and

  763. lift our hands and someone prays over us and we

  764. feel a brand new person. It's how do I stay free?

  765. How do I stay back from going to that relationship

  766. that's horrible from me? How do I stay out of

  767. going to that addiction? How do I stay out of comparison?

  768. It's not a matter of can I feel it for

  769. a day as God has set me free? But how

  770. do I stay free? If you go stay for You're

  771. gonna have to become somebody you ain't never been before.

  772. And I know it feels scary, and I know it

  773. feels worried. But I came to tell somebody this morning

  774. that God has given you everything you need to embrace

  775. and become this person. You've never been a person of

  776. consistency yet, but baby you wait, you've never been a

  777. person of integrity.

  778. Wait, but you gonna be it.

  779. You've never been there before, but that doesn't.

  780. Mean you can't be it today.

  781. The devil has been spent too much time trying to

  782. lie to you. That because that's who you've been, that's

  783. who you are. That is a lie from the pit

  784. of hell. And I stand up here as God's or

  785. can say that is not the truth.

  786. Over your life.

  787. You will not always be worried and fearful, you will

  788. not always have a lack of integrity, you will not

  789. always compare yourself.

  790. You will be exactly who God called you to be.

  791. We can't play games with this thing.

  792. This is the.

  793. Realest part about following Jesus is the origins of this

  794. message is radical commitment and radical living. It's not something

  795. that's just like, okay, if you could just a little

  796. bit of just it. I was talking to our kids

  797. pastor Matt if you haven't met him, he is amazing

  798. a new kids pastor, and I was talking to him,

  799. and him and his wife spent ten years in India

  800. as missionaries, and I was saying, I was just we're

  801. having a conversation one night, and I said, what's the

  802. biggest difference between churches here in the West and where

  803. you were? And he said, well, over there, it just

  804. cost you a lot more to become a Christian, he said.

  805. Over there on Baptism Sundays, what we were preparing for

  806. were not for tows and people to have a change

  807. of clothes. What we had to look for is host

  808. homes because when you go public with your faith over there,

  809. your entire family renounces you and kicks you out of

  810. your house.

  811. So the day of baptism.

  812. Was a very big deal at our church because people

  813. were deciding, this is who I'm gonna this is who

  814. I'm gonna be. Jesus is my savior. I don't care

  815. what it costs me. I don't care if you approve

  816. of me. I have decided to follow Jesus. That has

  817. been the case for the message of Christ since its origin.

  818. And there are moments where we can get in church.

  819. It's like, man, I feel really good, and I hope

  820. you feel really good.

  821. I really do, and I hope that feeling transitions into.

  822. An action that creates a lifestyle that makes you a

  823. different person. If we just come to church and feel

  824. good and leave, come on, you watched a couple movies

  825. and felt good, but it didn't do anything in your life.

  826. It needs something we need to become a different person today.

  827. I want to give you three things to consider.

  828. Again. This is not like, hey, okay, I'm do these

  829. and you mean tomorrow and.

  830. We'll be a different person. No, that's not Let me

  831. tell you this. Becoming a different person is not a

  832. finish line. There's no like, Okay, great, I am no

  833. longer who I was. It's a journey, it's a process.

  834. Is going to to the rest of your life.

  835. Let me just sell you on it now. This is

  836. the greatest sales pitch ever. You will not get there

  837. until you go to heaven.

  838. We're like, dang, that's kind of depressing until you consider

  839. how you live in now, until you consider the other option,

  840. until you consider going through our life without no hope,

  841. until you consider out you a slave to this version

  842. of yourself for the rest of your life and there

  843. is no opportunity for you to become something different.

  844. We gotta be honest with you, Okay.

  845. Three ways to help you.

  846. Become the better you. First thing, it's going to take faith.

  847. Now. When I say faith, I am talking about faith

  848. in God and faith that he can do anything. And

  849. the subset or more important matter I want to draw

  850. your attention to with this one. If some of you

  851. do not have faith that you could ever become anything different.

  852. The issue is not your faith. If you believe God

  853. can do a miracle, because you believe that, you don't

  854. believe you.

  855. Could go to the gym consistently.

  856. God just do something miraculous and you have faith for

  857. Him to do a miracle. You don't have faith in you.

  858. You don't have faith in His power in you. It's

  859. not a matter of God could make a way and

  860. you miraculously get a deal where you're gonna write a book,

  861. or that you start writing a book. You don't have

  862. faith that if you wrote it it would have any value.

  863. You don't have faith that if you got accepted to

  864. the college, you can make it through the college. So

  865. you never applied for the college. Not because it's a

  866. God issue. The honest truth is you don't have faith

  867. in you. And here's what I'm saying. As you embrace

  868. the Holy Spirit and His power on the inside of you,

  869. you need to realize He can equip you to go

  870. beyond where you are right now. Some of you husbands

  871. do not have the faith to believe you could be

  872. a different type.

  873. Of man than you were before you got married. I

  874. just don't know. I just think it's kind of always going.

  875. Didn't Paul say he had a thorn in his sign?

  876. I think that's what it is.

  877. This is my thrown in my side, thrown in your side?

  878. Is not an excuse to be dumb.

  879. I thought I was gonna say something spiritual, No dumb

  880. where I'm not saying you're not gonna have stuff you're

  881. struggle in. But there's a difference between relinquishing your responsibility

  882. and actively trying to make progress in something you know

  883. is a weakness. And if you're going to become somebody different,

  884. you've got to start with saying, do I actually believe

  885. I could do this? Do I actually believe God has

  886. empowered me to become somebody that I've never seen before?

  887. Do I believe that God has equipped me with everything

  888. I need to raise these kids even though I've never

  889. seen it? Do I actually have faith? You gotta get

  890. this faith right, because this next one is important. The

  891. next thing is gonna be is it's.

  892. Gonna be a fight.

  893. You think the enemy gonna let you become somebody different

  894. and not try to keep you from doing that. You

  895. think he just gonna let you just be like.

  896. Oh, yeah, you're super insecure for thirty years, kept you

  897. in that cycle. Oh you don't wanna do that anymore, Sure,

  898. go ahead, that's not how it goes. And some of

  899. this is I'm not talking about all of it, because

  900. sometimes it'll be like all of it it's not all

  901. spiritual attack.

  902. But don't get it twisted.

  903. There is some stuff that is definitely a spiritual attack, because.

  904. The enemy knows if you found out who you were.

  905. I don't know if y'all haven't seen those movies where

  906. the chosen One don't know they the chosen one and

  907. everybody else around, can I tell you that's a part

  908. of your life.

  909. Some of y'all don't know who you are, and the.

  910. Enemy has kept you in habits and cycles and ideas

  911. because he's praying and he's wishing and he's waiting because

  912. he knows the day you find out who you at,

  913. the day I found out who I was, the day

  914. that God shows you who you are, you will be

  915. a problem for Hell. So he is fighting with everything.

  916. He's got to keep you from knowing who you are.

  917. And let me tell you, if you're gonna change that,

  918. it's not gonna get easier, it may get more difficult,

  919. and this is where you have to go and address

  920. your relationship with difficulty and with challenge, because some of

  921. you will start to try to become a better person

  922. and become a different person.

  923. And it feels like, oh, hell is breaking loose.

  924. Let me tell you that's because you got in the

  925. game and wanted to make a difference. It's not a

  926. sign you're going the wrong way. It's not a.

  927. Sign that God's not doing anything.

  928. It's a sign that something is changing. It's gonna be

  929. a fight.

  930. Don't be surprised.

  931. It's gonna be difficult. Some friends are gonna leave you,

  932. some people are gonna not be there for you. You're

  933. gonna be disappointed, and you're gonna make a mistake.

  934. But here's the truth. It's worth it.

  935. And sometimes we forget how bad it actually was because

  936. we get in the fight and it gets so difficult

  937. and there's so many challenges and so many frustrations that

  938. you're like the children of Israel and you're.

  939. Like, you know what, Egypt wasn't that bad.

  940. This is how it has exactly what we're talking about.

  941. They were slaves for.

  942. Four hundred years. God set them free.

  943. Then they free and they're.

  944. Like As a matter of fact, as I look at

  945. the landscape, I think, I'm not mad at building the pyramids.

  946. And this is what happens if you don't expect to fight.

  947. Because again, here's another idea.

  948. Jesus never promised you there wouldn't be a fight. It's

  949. easy to get in charge and feel like, all right,

  950. I raised my hand, I did the thing. I am good.

  951. She said, in this world you will have troubles of

  952. many kinds. When he put that many kinds in there

  953. for somebody else's it's very he is type in different

  954. stages and ages. But take heart, you're gonna it's gonna

  955. take faith. It's gonna be a fight. The last one

  956. is our word of the year. Focus. Now, when I

  957. when I say focus, when I'm specifically and uniquely speaking of,

  958. is what is at the forefront of your focus?

  959. What is the prevailing thought or idea?

  960. Because when you're becoming someone different, it's very very important.

  961. What are you focusing on? Many of us to become

  962. someone different. I know I struggle with this a lot.

  963. Is I'm focusing on become trying to not be who

  964. I was. Let me give you example how this plays out,

  965. You're trying to become someone who is confident. So instead

  966. of focusing on all the things you do have or

  967. what you are, you're just not trying to be what

  968. you were. So what does that leave you with? It

  969. leaves you waking up with a list of don'ts. Don't

  970. do this, don't do that, don't do this, don't say that,

  971. and then I'll be who I want to be. I'm

  972. not mad at you, and don't can be a motivator.

  973. But what I have found in my own personal journeys,

  974. as long as I give attention to what I can't

  975. and what I won't and what I shouldn't, I get

  976. crippled and I begin to live this small life that

  977. is a list of things that I can't do, and

  978. I feel restricted and I feel like, okay, just don't

  979. mess up. And then you find yourself living life walking

  980. through a minefield, and you're trying to not say that

  981. and not do that, and not look that way and

  982. not look this way instead of this life that's over

  983. here where it's not about what you can't do, it's

  984. not about what not to do. It is I have.

  985. Chosen a whole different life.

  986. Let me give you a real time example. When I

  987. first got married. At first, I was thinking, Okay, just

  988. don't mess up. Don't look at no hot girls, don't

  989. look at porn, don't have sex with nobody.

  990. Key things, You'll.

  991. Have a great marriage. I got married at twenty years old.

  992. That's all the tools I had. I was talking to

  993. a friend one time. It was an older gentleman.

  994. He was talking to me, and I was just talking

  995. to him about being.

  996. Married, and he said, you know what I pray. I

  997. pray that I've prayed for a long time. And I

  998. was like, what is it? And he said, I prayed

  999. for a long time.

1000. Guys, God give me eyes only for the one you

1001. gave me. So instead of living over here, oh man,

  1002. I just can't do that, and I can't sleep with

1003. that person, and don't do that, and don't say that

1004. and bounce your eyes and do look, I go over

1005. here to Wow, God, look at the beautiful wife person

  1006. you have given me.

1007. And what type of life could we build? What type

1008. of marriage could we create? What kids could we raise

  1009. together with? What God?

1010. Where could we travel to? What could we see God

  1011. do in our life?

  1012. God?

  1013. It's a different focus. I'm not saying you can't make

  1014. it over here.

1015. What I am saying is your life is a lot

1016. smaller over here, and many people live a lot of

1017. their walk with Jesus on this side of the tracks.

1018. You don't realize it, but this is the law. Don't kill,

  1019. I'm preaching. I know, page thank you, don't kill, don't steal,

1020. don't cove it. That's the law romans Si is all about.

1021. He's freed you from the law. Your life is not

1022. a list of dues and dots. Your life is a

1023. list of being and becoming and friend. The good news

1024. this morning is God has set you free from your

1025. to do list, and he's trying to empower you to

1026. become a different person. And I know it feels like

1027. it's impossible, and I know it feels like you've never

1028. seen it, and I know it feels like you can't

1029. do it. But I am telling you, I am a

1030. living witness that if you will surrender, if you will

1031. let him lead your life, if you will say, he's

1032. not just my savior, but he is my Lord, and

1033. he can tell me what to do, and he can

1034. correct me, and I'll admit when I'm wrong. If you

1035. will let him do it, the version on yourself you've

  1036. always dreamed of becoming.

1037. It's right around the corner this morning.

1038. I want to pray, not a prayer that you get free.

1039. I'm a prayer, a prayer that you stay free because.

1040. I know he can set you free. I'm a witness.

1041. I got friends that are witness. He can set you free.

1042. There's no chain he can't break. There's no addiction he

  1043. can't change. There's no marriage he can't restore. There's no

1044. dead body he can't raise. There's no cancer that he

1045. can't heal. There's no seed that he can part. There's

1046. no person he can't deliver. There's nothing my God cannot do.

1047. Trust me, whom the sun sets free is free. Indeed,

1048. I ain't gotta pray if he can free you, what

1049. I am gonna pray so that he would embolden you.

1050. You give you the courage to give you the strength

1051. the belief to stay free.

1052. And I feel so strongly there are some of you

1053. in here that you're about to give up because you're

1054. just tired of fighting, because you're like, man, I just've

  1055. gotten free before.

  1056. I don't even know if it's worth it.

1057. Some of you you felt depressed for so long you

1058. don't know if you it's not that you can't feel

1059. good for a couple of days.

  1060. Can I stay free?

1061. And I want you to know we serve a God,

1062. God who can set you free and he can keep

  1063. you free.

1064. That you by your hands to close your eyes.

1065. Dear Heavenly Father, all powerful King, mighty Lord, and gracious Savior.

1066. We come to you right now asking that you would

1067. do something beyond a moment, that you would do something.

1068. Beyond and experience and goosebumps.

1069. God, we are asking that you would empower us not

1070. just to experience one moment of freedom, but that you

1071. would give us the ability to stay free, to stay

1072. free from insecurity, to stay free from comparison, to stay

1073. free from that part of us that goes to the

  1074. lesser version of God.

1075. We want to stay free.

1076. I pray for all my friends under the sound of

1077. my voice, and anybody watching this right now that has

1078. found themselves in a fight to becoming the better version

1079. of themselves. God, I pray that you would first meet

  1080. them and comfort.

1081. Them right where they are.

1082. I pray that you would encourage them in their faith,

1083. give them strength to fight.

1084. And help them fix their focus. God I pray this week.

1085. This week, would you allow people to step from just

1086. a moment of freedom to living a life of freedom.

1087. Every head bout, every eye close or some of you

  1088. in this room.

1089. We talk about the choice to stay free that only

1090. comes from surrendering your surrendering your life to Jesus. And

  1091. it's a complete and full surrender. It's a moment off

1092. you admitting you can't do it by yourself, a moment

1093. where you realize you've tried to do it all and

1094. it just doesn't work. You've tried to change your habits,

1095. you've tried to become and be a good person, and

  1096. it just feels like.

  1097. It's not working.

1098. This is the moment where you can become a different person.

1099. God will. The Bible says he exchanges our heart of

1100. stone for a heart of flesh.

1101. What does that mean. It means that part of you

  1102. that just feels.

1103. Frustrated at God and mad at God and doesn't even

1104. want to do the right thing.

  1105. He'll give you a new heart.

1106. Well, you'll start to develop desires that are completely different.

1107. It's not a moment where everything becomes perfect, but it

1108. is a moment where you can see your life.

  1109. Start to make progress.

1110. If you're in this room or you're watching online, and

1111. you accept Jesus as your Lord and savior.

1112. I'm gonna count the three. On the count of three,

  1113. I want.

1114. You to raise your hand, and you're gonna raise your

1115. hand boldly, not embarrassed, not worried about what anybody thinks

1116. about you. This ain't about nobody else but you and God.

1117. This is your moment. Some of you need a fresh start.

1118. Maybe you walked away from God. Maybe you're doing your

1119. own thing. But today is the day you decide I

1120. am becoming a new person.

1121. On the counter. Three, you're gonna lift your hand. One.

1122. He loves you. Two. Today is the day of salvation.

1123. Three right now in this room, lift your hand. All

1124. over this room. I see you.

1125. I got you sis, so proud of you, all three

1126. of y'all together. I see you back here in the corner,

1127. a whole row right here, just God saved all together.

1128. I see you, so proud of you. I got you

1129. over here, so proud of you. I see you up there, dog,

1130. I got you, so happy for you. I got you

1131. right here, so happy for you. Hey, listen, everybody out loud.

1132. I want you to repeat this prayer together.

1133. Everybody by your hands, clothes and right.

1134. Everybody say, Dear God, thank you for loving me. Dear Jesus,

1135. I admit I've made mistakes, Save me, change me, make

1136. me new in Jesus name, I pray.

  1137. Amen.

1138. Can we celebrate everybody who just made the choice to

1145. The other thing I'd ask you to do is tell somebody,

1146. Tell somebody on your road, tell the parking lot of

1147. tender as you drive out and be like, oh my God,

1148. I'll get my life to Christ.

1149. And then they gonna cheer for you.

1150. But it's important to share this step. It's a beautiful,

1151. beautiful thing. But we love you so much, so so
