-
enjoy this week's message. Oh, there is so much
-
that is just kind of swirling around this morning.
-
I'm trying to make sure I step right. in what
-
the Lord wants to do. I sent several sets of
-
notes, one again this morning while I was in
-
the prayer room of just something I felt like
-
the Lord quickened, and then I got something
-
on the front row, and so I got about three cartridges
-
for a one -barrel gun here. I'm trying to figure
-
out what we do this morning. You know, as we're
-
in the prayer room, the theme was on the anointing,
-
Pastor Jenny. got up and talked about the anointing.
-
She talked about the several aspects of the anointing.
-
And I really do think that this morning, God
-
is trying to release a message to his people
-
that you've got to understand. That if you're
-
going to move in kingdom authority and move in
-
kingdom power, you're going to have to get used
-
to operating in an anointing that's in the presence
-
of your enemies. I'm just talking to you now
-
just kind of out of what I feel like the Spirit
-
of God has been talking to me about just speaking.
-
You know, David prayed. The wonderful prayer
-
of Psalms 23, the Lord is my shepherd. You know,
-
he leads me beside still waters. He restores
-
my soul. All of those things God does. For his
-
name's sake, he causes me to dwell in green,
-
rich pastures, the feeding of the word, that
-
shepherd nature. He restores my soul. He walks
-
with me through the valley of the shadow of death
-
where I fear no evil. He knows how to, if I could
-
just take it off the word death for a second
-
and just say, yes, he does walk through times
-
of where we go through deep grief and sorrow
-
of death is taken a loved one or taken at a time
-
of departure. But it also, death also represents
-
times of loss of a vision or loss of something
-
that you didn't think should have. that God gave
-
you that all of a sudden now you're having to
-
mourn and put away. He walks through you with
-
those valleys. And he leads you to a place called
-
his table. Yes, it's the communion table. Yes,
-
it's part of that. But it's the table of the
-
Lord. It's where all the things of God, his,
-
who he is. This is the important part because
-
if you don't, Eat at the table. You anoint my
-
head with oil, my cup runneth over, but you prepare
-
a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
-
So the preparation of the table means that God
-
sets down things or is willing to lay out things
-
of his nature, of his character, of his word,
-
all that is available. It is done now. not in
-
this wonderful, and sometimes this is how we
-
think, in a wonderful kind of just pristine meadow
-
where there's poppies and sunflowers and the
-
trees are singing and the rocks are kind of just
-
playing bass and just this place where everything
-
moves wonderfully under the anointing. God sets
-
this spread and kind of like, I can't even remember
-
her name, but like the sound of music in Bavaria.
-
I come to the table with the sound of Jesus.
-
You know, sometimes we think that that's the
-
nature of how God will prepare a table before
-
us. We forget the next part of the verse, in
-
the presence of mine enemies. Now, sometimes
-
it's not just the enemies that have decided to
-
talk ill about you at work or backstab you to
-
get a promotion or all of that other type of
-
stuff. Sometimes it's the enemies of what we
-
heard today in regard to your healing. He prepares
-
a table. What does the table have? It has revelation.
-
It has insight. Because the table always is connected
-
to the word. The word, come on somebody, the
-
word sits at the table. When we say we're gonna
-
fellowship with Jesus, we're gonna commune with
-
Jesus, the word sits at his table. And at his
-
table are the things, that's why the Bible says,
-
oh, taste and see that the Lord is good. And
-
so there's a reality of eating at the table of
-
the Lord the things that speak directly to your
-
enemies. Who are your enemies that are sitting
-
at the table? David didn't say God's enemies.
-
Because that's sometimes where we go. Well, the
-
enemies are the enemies of God and me. No, no,
-
no, no, no. David said what? He said. You prepare
-
a table before me in the presence of my enemy.
-
He made it personal. He understood that there
-
was things that were coming specifically against
-
him. He had enemies. Some of them, those enemies
-
manifested in the flesh. Some of them, they were
-
in people. Some of them, what we recognize was
-
an enemy. inside of him or trying to get to him
-
to not eat the truth of God's word and trust
-
God's character, his word, or his spirit in that
-
area. And it's in that place, and it's always
-
in that place when it says, he prepares a table
-
before me, and I'm in Psalms 23 for those that
-
are on the computer. You can put it on the screen
-
here, and this isn't my note, so just FYI. In
-
the presence of my enemies, my cup, he anoints
-
my head with oil, my cup runneth over. And then,
-
surely and goodness follow me. Surely goodness
-
and mercy. The three. No, the two. Goodness and
-
mercy. But I gotta get. Before I can quote goodness
-
and mercy, I've got to get my cup filled and
-
running over. A cup running over means there's
-
no room left in me for anything else but what
-
comes from him. Can I just exhort you a little
-
bit this morning? There's no, I mean, I think
-
you heard it a little bit as we were trying to
-
highlight some of the healings that have taken
-
place in the last couple, well, not just the
-
conference. We've had healings before, healings
-
after. Why? We're contending for healing. Why?
-
Because Jesus Christ paid for it. He paid for
-
it. And what David was dealing with here Is he
-
was dealing with the nature of the shepherd.
-
The Lord is my shepherd. He leads me beside the
-
still waters. He restores my soul through green
-
pastures for his name's sake. What was David
-
dealing with? First he was dealing with his identity
-
and who God was to him. Right? He's my shepherd.
-
Everything in that psalm. is about me, me, me.
-
Now normally, I don't like preaching about me,
-
me, me, my, my, my. But in this case, it's biblical
-
that you have to have a me, my relationship with
-
the shepherd king. The Lord is my. That's the
-
identity. He's mine. He's mine. He's not just
-
somebody else's. He's not just. Derek's. He's
-
not just David's. He's not Artie's. He's not
-
Julianna's, Anna's. He's not James's. He's not
-
Carrie's or Troy's or Chelsea's. He's my shepherd.
-
Lord is my shepherd. Does he walk with me? Does
-
he feed me? Does he counsel me? Do I trust the
-
shepherd? The sheep hear my voice. You connect
-
David to every New Testament scripture about
-
Jesus being the good shepherd. Do you trust him?
-
It starts with the trust of the me and the my.
-
And then it comes to the fact in that beginning
-
process, he restores your soul. He leads you
-
to green pastures for his namesake. He leads
-
you beside still water. First thing he comes
-
as a shepherd is he doesn't put you in the white
-
water. He doesn't put you in the rapids. They
-
come. But he starts the raft off. How many know,
-
if you've ever been on a river rafting trip,
-
they don't just put in at the rapids. Right?
-
They'd like to have some return business. So
-
they put you in in the still water. They put
-
you in where things are smooth, where there's
-
a more placid effect. Jesus leads you beside
-
still waters. He leads to green pastures. Why?
-
What's he doing? He's getting you to trust that
-
this is what it's like when you're with the shepherd.
-
Because he knows that there's going to be rapids
-
that come and he knows that you're going to take
-
a walk through things that have darkness and
-
valleys and have even death around it that you're
-
going to have to trust him like you trusted him
-
when you first met him and put your strength
-
in the one who took you to pastures, strengthened
-
you, resolved who your identity is is not what
-
others have said but who he said. To get you
-
to the place Where you could come to his table
-
now in the maturity of your walk with him. Now
-
this is what I believe the Lord is speaking to
-
this house. And this is my exhortation to you.
-
The Lord is speaking. Not that there won't be
-
green pastures because that's the nature of the
-
shepherd. He always gives. He's the feeder. We
-
talk about that in scripture when it says he's
-
the shepherd. Jesus feeds the sheep. And there's
-
a principle. Whoever becomes, whatever your title
-
is, it doesn't matter. If you're a shepherd,
-
you have to be a feeder. And so Jesus, as the
-
chief shepherd, is the chief feeder. He feeds
-
his word. He feeds understanding. illumination,
-
knowledge. He feeds. And that's where we have
-
to come. If I was to say, where are we at in
-
the journey? We talked a little bit last week
-
about Israel coming out and learning to trust
-
in the nature of their God. Here it is again.
-
You have to be willing now to go to his table
-
once he's moved you past. the wonderful places
-
in Bavaria with the Julie Andrews, there it is,
-
the name, of singing and frolicking in mountain
-
pastures, you gotta be able to trust him now
-
because as you move as an ambassador, that's
-
a good word, keep going, an ambassador. What
-
does an ambassador do? Ambassador brings a message
-
from another place. As you move now as an ambassador,
-
you're going to have to learn to get to the table.
-
Because ambassadors aren't sent to still water
-
places. Just ask the Goulds. Just ask them. How
-
wonderful is that place? Well, there's wonderful
-
people there. But the regimes and the places,
-
I'm not gonna say the name, the regimes and the
-
places are not still waters. They're hostile
-
waters. Ambassadors have to learn to get to the
-
table in the middle of hostile environments.
-
Ambassadors have to be able to walk through the
-
shadow of death. Shadow. Meaning. Not allowing
-
the shadow to put any substance on them. It's
-
a shadow. It represents something. Yes, there's
-
something there. And yes, we understand that
-
Peter's shadow fell on people where they lined
-
them up on the sick and put them in the street.
-
And Peter's shadow fell on them because Peter
-
was walking with someone in the midst of contrary
-
that his shadow wasn't him. It was the presence
-
that was on him healed. But when you walk through
-
the shadow of death, that's a different thing.
-
Meaning I'm not gonna allow the spirit of darkness
-
that comes with death. I'm not gonna allow intimidation.
-
Come on, hear me. I'm not, because that's a shadow.
-
Intimidation, chaos. is a shadow. I'm prophesying
-
and speaking to things in the atmosphere even
-
now. Chaos, destruction, darkness, disunity,
-
every form of lying, maligning, deception, all
-
comes from a spirit of death, which is what?
-
The opposite of life. I'll walk through it. I'm
-
going to walk through it. I'm not going to allow
-
that shadow and its substance to land on me.
-
I'm going to move from Psalm 23 to a quick moment
-
to Psalm 91. Though it stalks at noonday, it
-
shall not come upon me. and fall by my side,
-
I will not fear. I will tread upon the lion and
-
the cobra. Why? Because my trust is in the Lord.
-
David understood something. There were a lot
-
of paths that led him on some dark tree lines
-
and some deep ravines. But the shadow of death,
-
I can trust Jesus. He leads me. He guides me.
-
And even though I walk through the valley, the
-
valley, the place where it's low, the place where
-
it's not a mountaintop experience. You see, ambassadors
-
are called to low places. In the natural, in
-
the natural, Everybody wants an ambassadorship
-
because they think it's a high place in the kingdom
-
of God. Ambassadorship means, no, you get to
-
take it to the low place. That's the nature of
-
the opposites of kingdoms. Come on, please hear
-
me. We talked about this before. Jesus' kingdom
-
is not a natural kingdom. Everybody wants an
-
appointment. Oh, send me to this and send me
-
to that and let me have this attache. diplomatic
-
immunity. You're a dip. That's for sure. But
-
in the kingdom of God the only diplomatic immunity
-
that you have is carrying the presence of the
-
one that walks with you. And you're not going
-
to some high place to be seen and to be served
-
by others, you're going to the low places of
-
the earth where the poor and the broken and the
-
needy and those that need a touch of God can
-
come by the anointing because an ambassador understands
-
that I've been strengthened by the still waters.
-
I've learned the shepherd in the green pastures
-
and now I can come to the table in the midst
-
of an atmosphere and have... my cup full. And
-
it will overflow. And it will overflow with the
-
anointing. And then in the midst of it, goodness
-
and mercy strike out after me. And it follows
-
me all the days of my life. And then I will dwell.
-
In the house of the Lord. Why? Because I've been
-
dwelling there. When I step into eternity. It
-
will not be because I've never opened that door.
-
It's because the door was already open. And I've
-
been dwelling in an atmosphere of heaven. And
-
I just step over. Come on. It's not because I
-
haven't seen it. Come on. Some of you need to
-
get a revelation today. First Corinthians chapter
-
two says, no eye has seen, no ear has heard what
-
God has prepared for those who love him. That
-
is not in the by and by and in the heaven up
-
yonder. That is for the now and now for the ambassador.
-
Why? It says because you can now have the mind
-
of Christ. It's now. Read the context. I'll be
-
happy to hear, when the roll is called up yonder,
-
I'll be there, but I better have heaven down
-
here. And that is what Jesus came to do. Now
-
we're transitioning to the written message. Jesus
-
came to bring what? He came to bring the reality
-
of his kingdom on the earth. And we've talked
-
about this. We'll just touch it. He lives to
-
serve. How did he do that? He constantly ate
-
at the table of the Lord. He fellowshiped with
-
his father. So much so, I say what I hear my
-
father. Says, I do what I see my father do. Meaning
-
what? There was an atmosphere of fellowship in
-
the spirit of God. He had to what? His enemies
-
were all around him, folks. He had to constantly.
-
That's why he said many times, did he not? When
-
the disciples went in John Ford to get, I don't
-
know, maybe some pita bread and some euros because
-
they were hungry. When they came back, they said,
-
Jesus, here, eat your sandwich. He goes, I have
-
food you know not of. And their immediate response
-
was, who brought him the pastrami gyro? He goes,
-
no, my food is to do the will of my father. See,
-
the disciples hadn't learned to eat at the table.
-
yet. You say, wait a minute, what do you mean?
-
It means Jesus knew how to get to the table.
-
wherever he was at, even when he was at Samaria,
-
even when he was at a place where nobody wanted
-
to touch the low of society. She'd been with
-
five husbands and the man she was with, I mean,
-
man she was with, that in the Greek means the
-
man who she was living with. And let me just
-
break it down to you. Having sexual intercourse
-
with in an unmarried relationship. Even the Samaritans
-
didn't even want to be around this lady. And
-
they couldn't figure out really who God was.
-
They had been filled with mixture from all the
-
other nations that have tried to pollute who
-
they were originally to be in God. And even they
-
knew. Woo -hoo, witch and woman. They said, like,
-
hey, we're letting her alone. Let her go to the
-
well. By herself. Because she is voodoo bad on
-
anybody else because she's taken a bunch of husbands
-
from wives. You understand? See, when you get
-
into the text, you understand the reason she
-
had to go alone is none of the other women wanted
-
to walk with her. Why? Because she'd burn that
-
bridge a time or two. Five. There was some enemies
-
around. Hell hath no fury, but like a woman scorned.
-
First hesitations, two six. All right. Okay,
-
that's not in the Bible. I'm just, that's a joke
-
for some of you. All right. Now, what are we
-
talking about here? We're talking about the reality
-
Jesus went to an environment that did not want
-
to deal with the lowest of their own low. They
-
had already brandished her bad mamma jamma. If
-
there would have been the Samaritan Instagram,
-
she would have been blocked. She would have had
-
negative reviews. And Jesus sent the disciples
-
away partly because I think he needed them to
-
go away partly because he needed to show them
-
that in a hostile area, number one, where they
-
weren't welcome as Jewish men, number two, and
-
now dealing with something that even their own
-
people wouldn't deal with, Jesus. whole purpose
-
in John 4 was to get to the lowest of the low
-
and to find and meet them with the prophetic
-
word of the Lord, which is the anointing on the
-
word. That's what it is, the anointing on the
-
word. Jesus was filled with the spirit and the
-
anointing on him. The Bible says without measure.
-
You and I get measures, but with him, he had
-
it without measure. The full anointing was on
-
the word and the first thing that the word did
-
was the word was anointed to activate, to do
-
what? To cut right into the soul and spirit of
-
this gal. Where's your husband? Just, Jesus,
-
I love it. Notice, he didn't think it was politically
-
incorrect to get to the center of an issue. He
-
hadn't been reading in the Samaritan Post. Oh,
-
there's another divorce she just went through.
-
He hadn't been reading yet. But when he stood
-
in front of the woman, Give me a drink. Well,
-
you're a little brash, aren't you? I'm just bringing
-
it in a common vernacular. Why are you, a Jew,
-
talking to me? Jesus, if you knew who it was
-
that you were talking to, you'd ask me for living
-
water. Now, that almost sounds, in today's culture,
-
braggadocious. Can I dare say, and just stay
-
with me here for a second, can I dare say that
-
when you begin to walk in the anointing as an
-
ambassador, there is a fine line between pride,
-
which is evil, and the confidence of the king
-
that you've been walking with and know in that
-
area. Because sometimes the confidence, it's
-
not an error. The pride, you'll know when pride
-
is there when there's no humility to serve. This
-
is what Christians miss all the time. When there's
-
no humility to serve, it's evident they're walking
-
in pride. There's no love. There's no humility.
-
That is not what Jesus operated. He operated
-
in complete. confidence to be able to say, if
-
you knew who it was who you were talking to,
-
you would ask me for something. Now, on the outside,
-
it looked like it could have been, baby, you
-
don't know what you're missing. I am the living
-
water. Everybody wants a drink of what I'm serving.
-
That is not, that was kind of like the hip hop
-
translation. That was not, that is not what Jesus
-
was saying. But he was saying in confidence what?
-
He was saying, the one who I am, who I've been
-
called to be, who what I constantly live in and
-
function as, you have no idea who you're walking
-
around. And he said it not from arrogance. He
-
said it because he understood who he was. And
-
in that prospect, when she then said, well, give
-
me some of this living water so I don't have
-
to come to this well. Why? Because it's no fun.
-
Everybody has left me. There's no social interaction.
-
I've made a mess of my life and everybody that
-
I was supposed to do life with has left me alone.
-
And now I come to the well at the hottest, hottest
-
part of the day. And you ask me for a drink.
-
I'm looking to have something that will change
-
my life. Just give me some of this living water
-
so I don't have to keep coming back here at this
-
hour where everybody looks out and says, let
-
her go. Go out there by yourself. You deserve
-
that. Then Jesus, in the midst of what's going
-
on behind the scene, said, where's your husband?
-
She'd already, see if you don't get in the text,
-
she'd already just said what the issue was. It
-
wasn't that she didn't want to just drink, want
-
to put down her pitcher in the well and get water.
-
She didn't want to do it because she'd been isolated,
-
ostracized. She'd been pushed out of every segment
-
of society. And she didn't like going alone.
-
It was just better to live in her house and to
-
do what she did so that she didn't have to interact
-
with people. And then Jesus brings it up. He
-
goes right for her identity. Where's your husband?
-
I don't have a husband. And then he gets a little
-
more. Straight with the prophetic. You're right.
-
You don't have a husband. You've had five husbands.
-
And the man you're married to now is not your
-
own. Zing! I mean, she didn't offer that information.
-
She didn't say, I've kind of tore through the
-
town. Yeah, I'm not very well liked. There's
-
some catty Samaritan girls in this town. She
-
didn't do that. Jesus, by the, think of it, the
-
word of knowledge and the prophetic word brought
-
her right down, why this is so important, brought
-
her right down to where the identity and her
-
choices that she made brought her. If you don't
-
see that in John 4, you're missing the whole
-
context. He brought her down where her choices
-
kept looping. Not once, not twice, three times
-
a week. No, four, five, five times. brought her
-
to the place where the same mistake, same judgment,
-
same lack of identity, same rejection, but same
-
appetite of lust, same appetite of needing approval,
-
same appetite, had wrecked, had wrecked, had
-
wrecked, had wrecked, had wrecked, and the prophetic
-
word gets right down into it. And then she was
-
shocked. I perceive you're a prophet. You think?
-
And you know what she did then? She tried to
-
divert the conversation. Well, you Jews worship
-
on this mountain and our people say we worship
-
on this mountain. You see, the ambassador had
-
to be willing to bring and to open through the
-
anointing. Because his cup was always full of
-
the areas that she had broken in her mixture
-
and in her brokenness and in her line of thinking,
-
he had to be willing to stay there and straighten
-
it out if she would listen. And then he told
-
her the truth when she diverted and went to a
-
religious spirit. He goes, salvation is of the
-
Jews. That was a, I could take a whole message
-
on that in regard to he absolutely just sliced
-
through the reality of thinking there was another
-
way to God. That another mountain that mirrored
-
it. Let me say that. See, there was two mountains.
-
Mount Gerizim, Mount Ebel. There was two places.
-
There was one group that said this mountain is
-
as good as this mountain. And Jesus sliced through
-
and said, what you guys do on that mountain has
-
nothing to do with salvation. Only this mountain.
-
Why there's no other mountain but Mount Zion.
-
He was talking about a place of what he would
-
now be the answer that why he was born in Jewish
-
flesh to fulfill. Every bit of the law. Jesus
-
was living to serve. He had answers. He was prepared
-
always. Not because he studied always, but because
-
he was allowing the word of God, which he was,
-
but in his learning and his understanding and
-
fellowship with the spirit, which is called what?
-
What Pastor Jenny dealt with this morning, the
-
anointing. His cup was full. Why? He was in the
-
presence of his enemies. And that's what Jesus
-
does. He lives to serve. And Jesus understood
-
what true ministry, real ministry is. And I said
-
it. It's to do the will of him who sent me and
-
to finish his work. That's where I'm at. I'm
-
on. If you want to know what message I'm in,
-
you're probably asking for it. It's the something
-
more church. John 434. There we go. I knew you
-
had it back there. Thank you so much. Jesus understood
-
what real ministry is. What is real ministry?
-
To do the will of him who sent me. Ambassadors.
-
What is the food of heaven? To do the will of
-
who sent me. Ambassadors, what is our assignment?
-
To bring his kingdom, his will, his word, his
-
ways on the earth. See, when I say ambassadors,
-
there should be something inside of you that,
-
huh! To legislate on the earth the will of heaven.
-
To move into places where others have had no
-
success. And by others, I mean worldly programs,
-
worldly philosophies, and where there's brokenness
-
and we're coping with a Samaritan understanding
-
of their mountain. It's time to bring people
-
to the other mountain. That's why it says in
-
two places, in two verses, in Isaiah and Micah,
-
and in the last days they shall stream to the
-
mountain of the Lord. Why? Because you've touched
-
the mountain and brought it down and they're
-
finding out where do I run like you've ran. That's
-
the ambassador. Grace of the kingdom of God.
-
First and primary heart of Jesus, who is the
-
perfect servant of the Father, was to do his
-
will. How did he do his will? He didn't do it
-
by philosophy. He did it by anointing. Jesus
-
has always been doing the will of the Father.
-
Why? Because he's always... appreciated and stayed
-
in his presence, never breaking fellowship and
-
only one time. And that was on the cross when
-
he cried out, my God, my God, why has thou forsaken
-
me? And it wasn't because he broke it. It's because
-
the father put on Christ all of the things that
-
were on us that broke fellowship with the son.
-
Jesus. If we could put this slide up here. Jesus
-
never bypassed the little day -to -day things
-
for the big cross experience. If he'd have done
-
that, he'd have never met with the woman at the
-
well. I can't go and be seen among these Samaritans.
-
I mean, where's my green room and where's my
-
two people that guard me? If you want to go to
-
a spiritual influencer, you go right on ahead.
-
But I want to get to the one who actually is
-
king and yet walks like a shepherd and allows
-
anointing to flow from his garments and anyone
-
who touched him was made whole. You see, there's
-
a big difference. Ambassadors that want to be
-
influencers in the world. Ambassadors are actually
-
people who carry the anointing that want to be
-
touched in the kingdom. Come on. It's a big deal.
-
Now, I'm not going to name names, but you get
-
it. Jesus' perspective of being a servant embraced
-
all ranges of sacrifice. Because Jesus embraced
-
the will of the Father primarily, pleasing the
-
Father was more important than individual sacrifices.
-
Let me say that again. Pleasing the Father has
-
to become more important than what it costs you.
-
Because it will cost you. Because that's what
-
keeps people from being ambassadors. What keeps
-
people from being ambassadors is sacrifice. Sacrifice
-
means I have to be willing to give something
-
away that others seem to have no problem keeping.
-
It's a big deal. I'm going to give time when
-
others take it for themselves. I'm going to get
-
in the trenches when other people walk on the
-
side of the road. I'm going to give finances.
-
Why? Because it's his kingdom on the earth and
-
he loves his church. And this is how he perpetuates
-
his kingdom through seed money and through seeding
-
of people. And that costs me. And my desire is
-
to be more pleasing to him than what I could
-
do with some of the other stuff. That's why Jesus
-
could say in Hebrews, thank you for coming up.
-
You're doing good. That's why Jesus could say
-
in 10, Hebrews 10, five and seven says this,
-
sacrifices and offerings you did not desire.
-
Now listen, before you think he's talking about
-
something internal, no, he's talking about external.
-
Because the sacrifice in the Old Testament was
-
always external. You brought whatever it was,
-
whether it was a grain offering, whether it was
-
a drink offering, whether it was a bullock or
-
a goat or a ram, you brought it. to someone else,
-
and they took it from there. In the New Testament,
-
sacrifice comes from here, the inside. The heart
-
is what has to sacrifice. See, in the Old Testament,
-
you could do all of the external without giving
-
your heart. Why? Because it was an outward, now
-
God didn't want it to be outward only. He wanted
-
it to be mingled with faith and he wanted it
-
to change their heart. But the issue was what?
-
He promised of a day when he would take out the
-
heart of stone, which is what? External stone
-
hardness. And he would do what? He would write
-
on the inside of your heart and now put it on
-
the inside. That's why Jesus said in his own
-
way to disciples, he said, when they asked him,
-
I read it this morning in the gospel of Mark,
-
explain to us what you mean by nothing from the
-
outside can defile. He said, the things from
-
the outside cannot defile you from the inside.
-
It's what comes out of the heart, out of the
-
mouth and the heart that defiles you. That's
-
why Jesus was constantly chiding the religious
-
and saying, you are whitewashed tombs. Why? You
-
are ceremonially unclean on the inside. You're
-
painting a white picture as though you're holy.
-
On the inside, there is the crypt of death operating.
-
Defilement and rottenness and decay. So as Jesus
-
is serving, As he's speaking to you and I as
-
ambassadors and what it means to really carry
-
the anointing. You see, let me tell you something.
-
This is the big deal. And we're getting close
-
and I gotta land the plane here. You can be saved
-
and not operate in the anointing. You can accept
-
Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You can confess
-
him as Christ and generally you will. absolutely
-
make it to heaven. The Bible says all who call
-
on the name of the Lord will be saved. But your
-
reward will be radically different than somebody
-
who chooses to walk in the anointing because
-
walking in the anointing means that you've been
-
willing to yield every part of your life that
-
the king puts a finger on, that you've surrendered
-
to his lordship and now his will is more important
-
to you than your own. And that's why Jesus had
-
the disciples pray the prayer. Pray your kingdom
-
come. Pray your will be done. The focus was in
-
me as it is in heaven. That I would what? That
-
I would embrace. That's why he was telling the
-
disciples. So when they saw him pray, remember
-
the context. When they saw him pray, it was different
-
than other prayers. That they had seen. Why was
-
it different? Because other prayers were praying
-
for things that they could do outside of their
-
heart. Jesus was praying prayers that could only
-
be done with a heart of complete dependence and
-
surrender. That's why Paul picks this up when
-
he's talking about his gospel in Romans. And
-
I'm finishing here just quoting some more scriptures.
-
Romans 12, one and two. Brothers, I now beseech
-
you. That word beseech is the strongest. It is
-
an implorement. It actually means grabbing somebody
-
by the shirt collar and say, I implore you to
-
give yourself as a holy sacrifice unto God. That's
-
what he was saying. Brothers, I beseech you by
-
the mercies of God that you give yourselves,
-
your bodies, as a living sacrifice. Notice, took
-
it from the outside of where most people want
-
to do their faith and now imploring every Christian,
-
say, come, get this, your ambassadorship, your
-
kingdom of God's kingdom. I just want to keep
-
hitting right here. The kingdom of God wants
-
it to come through you. Now present yourselves
-
as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to
-
God. This is your reasonable. In the spirit,
-
as an ambassador, that's reasonable. In and over
-
the top, that's the normal. That's the normal.
-
This is your reasonable service of worship. Why?
-
Because it isn't the outside. I'm putting me
-
and all of me before him and saying, not my will,
-
but your will. Can I pray for you this morning?
-
In fact, if you're here this morning, would you
-
maybe just bow your head out of respect for others?
-
If you want to, close your eyes and let's just
-
focus for a moment. Father, in Jesus' name. Lord,
-
right now, you know every heart that's in this
-
place. And God, I'm asking that you are doing
-
a work. Holy Spirit, you're bringing an anointing
-
that destroys yokes. Yokes that come from our
-
identity that's wrong. Yokes that come from the
-
choices. That were wrong. Yokes that come from
-
cycles of sin. That have kept us bound. Yokes
-
that come from disease. And sickness. Yokes that
-
come from things. That we partnered with wrong
-
thinking. Standing on a wrong mountain. Offering
-
up things that were outside of us. And today
-
we're asking. That your anointing would come.
-
And break the yoke that's been on us. Of slavery.
-
To actually be who you've called us to be. Ambassadors.
-
Of the kingdom of God. Caring. Love. Grace. And
-
faith. Walking in humility. But walking in the
-
full power. Of the Holy Spirit. And word. And
-
everything that emanates. From that. From your
-
Holy Word. And your spirit that's true. Being
-
able to walk into any. circumstance, in any low
-
spot or high spot and being able to release because
-
the cup is full and overflowing. If you're here
-
this morning, first of all, and you don't know
-
this Jesus in whom I know and whom many in this
-
room know who's not only forgiven us of sin but
-
has come to walk with us, talk with us and Bring
-
us into fellowship. Lord. If they don't know
-
you, I am asking now by the spirit of the living
-
God, I'm asking for the Holy Spirit to begin
-
to draw those now in this room. If you've never
-
asked Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sin,
-
to open the door to salvation and a relationship
-
with God, he's the only way, he's the only truth
-
because he's the only life. If that's you this
-
morning, would you say, and right now before
-
I'm not gonna have you. Think about it. I've
-
got to have you respond to what the Spirit of
-
God is saying. If that's you, would you just
-
lift your hand and say, I need prayer. I need
-
him. I want this Jesus in who you're talking
-
about. Just lift your hand high so I can see
-
it. Thank you. Chris, thank you. Who else? Thank
-
you. Come on. He brought you here today to hear
-
a message. If it's in the back, I'd like to have
-
my team just... Go and sit. Someone with Chris.
-
Thank you, Chris. Someone there. Anyone else?
-
Yeah, Nathan. Come on. To the rest of us in this
-
room, I want you to pray. Pray with them, guys,
-
if you would. The rest of us in this room as
-
I'm finishing at the bell here. Father, we pray
-
for that transforming grace to come now from
-
heaven. That would turn us from being outside
-
Christians. To inside Christians. Lord. Recognizing
-
that the sacrifices. Those that ascend to the
-
hill of the Lord. Are those with clean hands
-
and a pure heart. Those that have surrendered
-
to the will of God. Those that want fellowship
-
with the Lord. Those that are willing to die
-
to self. So that they can actually live in the
-
will of their father. Lord let that anointing
-
come on this house. Come on these people, breaking
-
every other yoke that tries to bind them. And
-
Lord, putting on your yoke that says, my yoke
-
is easy and my burden is light. Why? Because
-
it's life. It's full of the anointing. The burden
-
of the Lord, the yoke of the Lord is his anointing.
-
Let it come on our life. In Jesus Christ's holy
-
name. thank you for taking the time to listen
