  10. and I'm just excited to see what he does. If

  11. I haven't had the privilege of meeting you yet. My

  12. name is Will and I'm one of the pastors here

  13. and I'm so excited for what I get to say today,

  14. what God has given me to say. I'm the associate

  15. campus pastor here and man, this week has just said

  16. come on, be expectant because I'm telling you this week,

  17. there's been a lot of challenges that have come against

  18. me and my family this week. And that's when you

  19. know that you are headed in the right direction. When

  20. you're feeling no resistance, when you're feeling like, okay, hold on,

  21. what's going on, you know that you are walking in

  22. the right direction. So I'm excited, man, Before I do anything,

  23. and I got to just shout out our lead pastors,

  24. Pastor Mike and Natalie Todd Man. I love them. Do

  25. we not have the greatest leaders in the world. Man,

  26. he coming back soon, guys, He's coming back soon. I'm excited.

  27. I hope he's rested up, ready to go. I'm gonna

  28. come with a lot of vision. And then also I

  29. gotta shout out my beautiful wife, Kaylee snow Come on,

  30. all right, get this. Her name, her name was Kaylee

  31. snow White, beautiful name, and then she married me and

  32. now is Kaylee snow hecking Buck. And it just doesn't

  33. just doesn't flow that well. But man, Kaylee, I love you.

  34. Thank you so much for all that you do. We

  35. have two amazing kids' story. Pray for the people that

  36. are with them right now. And TC kids Okay, they're

  37. probably just asking a million questions. They really are great kids.

  38. But the question he just wants to know why? Why? Why? Why?

  39. And You're like, eventually You're just like, I don't know, man,

  40. I don't know, I don't know, I don't know why.

  41. Go ask your mom. Okay, oh man, But we have

  42. been in this incredible series. Has anybody in been enjoying

  43. Do Not Disturb? Yeah, come on, this has been just

  44. an amazing series because we gotta listen. We know that

  45. there's a lot of distractions in this life, and so

  46. to be able to come and this just even the

  47. idea when you put do not Disturb on your phone,

  48. you are making a decision to say, yo, yo, don't

  49. bother me right now because I'm focused and that is

  50. the word of the year is focus, and I believe

  51. that this series is really helping us learn and grow

  52. in that. And so man, welcome to week four of

  53. Do Not Disturb. Okay, come on. We have heard a

  54. lot from a lot of different people and all the

  55. things that can be distracting, and so I don't want

  56. to I think it's it's obvious now that we know

  57. there's a lot of distractions in the world. Like when

  58. I even just start to think about it, the very

  59. first one that comes to my mind is our phones.

  60. Our phones is the biggest distraction. It also has amazing stuff.

  61. I'm not trying to shame the phones, okay, but there's

  62. a lot of things. There's a lot of options. Then

  63. we got social media option, we got man, we got Instagram,

  64. TikTok we got I know this Twitter still the thing?

  65. They call it something else now I'm really just not

  66. hip with the name. It's it called x Okay, I

  67. don't know why they changed the name. Name change. Okay,

  68. Well in my space, MySpace still a thing. No MySpace

  69. not a thingky, bring it back. That's where I know.

  70. Those are my people that just cheered from my space. Okay, Man,

  71. you knew though, you knew where you stood with people

  72. with that top four and then they made it to

  73. where it was like a top twenty, and I was like, okay,

  74. now we're just asking everybody but man. And then the

  75. biggest decision. I don't know if anybody else can relate

  76. to this. I had to make like when you got

  77. in a relationship, I meant had to decide is my

  78. best friend or my girlfriend number one? And it was

  79. like I kind of I would like just try to

  80. switch it at times where I thought, Okay, maybe he's

  81. gonna look at it and try to keep it. Anyways,

  82. you knew where should bring back my space. That's what

  83. I'm trying to say. A lot of distractions that we

  84. deal with, oh man, But there's there's a quote that

  85. I think we've said it a few times, but it

  86. rings so true. The devil doesn't need to destroy you.

  87. He just needs to distract you. The devil doesn't need

  88. to destroy you and bring all this stuff against you

  89. if he has you distracted. And sometimes he can distract

  90. you long enough to where you miss out on your destiny.

  91. He can distract you long enough to where you miss

  92. out on what he wants you to do. And so

  93. as I was praying and God like, okay, what is it.

  94. What is the distraction that I'm just even just supposed

  95. to come up against and preach on and talk through.

  96. And y'all, I'm telling you right now, I started getting

  97. flooded with so many things. And I could go this direction,

  98. and I could go this direction, and but then that

  99. word rhymes with this word, and this word starts with

  100. a D, and then I could do this and this,

  101. and all these stuff started flooding my mind, and can

  102. I be honest, couldn't make a decision. I was like, okay,

  103. all right, I need to decide something. And you gotta

  104. remember that was not the only decision I was making

  105. in my life. I also am a husband, I'm a father.

  106. I'm a leader all these things. So that was one

  107. decision of a million other decisions that I was trying

  108. to make. And I looked up this stat and this

  109. is crazy, y'all. We face about thirty five thousand decisions

  110. a day that we need to make, whether it be subconscious,

  111. whether it be going and getting in your car? And

  112. what am I gonna listen to?

  113. What?

  114. Am I gonna keep the volume up? Am I gonna

  115. go to the speed limit today? Am I not gonna

  116. go to the speed limit today? I'm gonna flip that

  117. person off. We're not gonna flip that person off. I

  118. got a TC sticker on the back of my car.

  119. Like you go, all these decisions you had to think about,

  120. all the decisions you had to make this morning just

  121. to get here. Okay, what outfit am I gonna wear?

  122. Is that match? I don't know? Anyways, lots of decisions

  123. that we have to make in this life. No wonder

  124. we could get so distracted and so caught up with them.

  125. I was thinking that I gotta tell you, I got

  126. the mic, so I'm gonna say this there Sometimes though,

  127. people be complicating the decisions. Okay, there's some things that

  128. really just darn't a big big deal and shouldn't be

  129. like this long, dramatic, like, let's figure out and make

  130. this decision. One of those I'm gonna give you that

  131. one of my top five pet peeves. Okay, so now

  132. you're gonna know about me, all right. Your boy used

  133. to be a little bigger, all right. And I used

  134. to go to raising canes all the time. I'd probably

  135. have it four times a week and it was only Tuesday,

  136. all right, And so I would go, yeah, come on,

  137. come on, shout out canes. Sponsor me. No, don't sponsor me,

  138. that's bad. But I will be in there. Listen, listen.

  139. I'll be in the drive I'll be in the drive through,

  140. and I'll be in there and I'm sitting there and

  141. I just I kind of have my window down and

  142. I hear the person be like, okay, just give me

  143. a minute, give you a minute, okay, all right, O cool,

  144. I get it. You know you're just trying to decide

  145. do you want three piece four? And then like need

  146. a little bit longer. And in my head when you

  147. look at that menu, I don't know if you've been

  148. there before, TC Nation, I don't know it is chicken

  149. or chicken or chicken or do you want bread on

  150. your chicken? Like it is, literally, the only decision you

  151. have to make is do I want coal saw or

  152. extra fries or extra toasts. That's the only decision you

  153. have to make. And it's really an easy decision. I

  154. don't know who be messing with that, Cole Slaw, I

  155. don't know about that. But we over complicate these things

  156. and some things. Is this not that deep? But what

  157. can happen? Can anybody else relate to this? Lots of

  158. the decisions come in your way. And what can happen though,

  159. is we face something called decision fatigue. We face something

  160. where there's just so many things we have to do

  161. that honestly, we get exhausted, we get tired. And that's

  162. when you start making poor decisions. That's when you start

  163. not caring. That's when you start compromising, that's when you

  164. start making bad decisions. Or it's when it leads to

  165. this dangerous word indecision. You get to such a place

  166. of decision fatigue that you actually end up just not

  167. making a decision instead of doing something, You end up

  168. doing nothing. You don't decide on anything, You're just in

  169. the middle, you're indifferent Revelation three sixteen. I love the

  170. way this is said. It says, but since you are

  171. like luke warm water, neither hot nor cold, I will

  172. spit you out of my mouth. Now when we look

  173. at that, I think, I don't know about you. But

  174. I was talking to a friend leading up to this,

  175. and there's some part of me. I don't know why,

  176. but in my mind, hot represents the devil and cold

  177. represents God and all this stuff. But when we are

  178. looking at it, and it's really the thing about it

  179. is cold water. When you think about it, practically, it's refreshing.

  180. On a hot day, you drink water. Cold is refreshing.

  181. Hot is refining. You can use hot water to purify things.

  182. So we have cold refreshing, hot refining. Lukewarm robs you

  183. of both. Lukewarm robs you of both when you're indifferent,

  184. And I want to say, like, this indecision will make

  185. you ineffective. If you're not hot, if you're not cold,

  186. you're just in the middle. You're ineffective. It's time to

  187. make a decision. That's why I'm here. I'm on an

  188. assignment to come to us as a church and say

  189. it's time to decide. It's time to decide. And I'm

  190. not talking just some like okay, like I guess, yeah, yeah,

  191. we'll do that. No, no, no, no, I'm talking a decision,

  192. an unwavering decision. I'm not moving decision, an unshakeable decision,

  193. a resolve, a resilience, I'm not going any where type decision.

  194. There's a scripture that just kept ringing in my ear

  195. as I was just thinking through, like like when I'm

  196. trying to visualize. I don't know about you, but sometimes

  197. I just visualize things as I'm preparing and I'm thinking

  198. about an idea and I'm reading scripture, And there was

  199. a scripture that God just kept bringing up when I

  200. was thinking about what type of decision you gotta make.

  201. It's found in the Book of Joshua. If you have

  202. your Bibles turned to Joshua twenty four. If not, they

  203. will put it up on the screen for you Joshua

  204. twenty four fifteen. But if serving the Lord seems undesirable

  205. to you, then choose for yourself this day whom you

  206. will serve, whether the gods your ancestors serve beyond the

  207. Euphrates or the gods of the Amorites in whose land

  208. you live in. But as for me in my house,

  209. we will serve the Lord. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you do

  210. what you want to do. But as for me in

  211. my house, we have decided that we are going to

  212. serve the Lord. And as I was praying and preparing,

  213. God just continue to give me this visual because here's

  214. what I want to say, Church, whether we acknowledge it

  215. or not, a line has been drawn. There's a line

  216. that has been drawn. There's good, there's evil, there's God's

  217. purpose for your life, and then there's all these distractions

  218. that the enemy will try to use to keep you

  219. from your purpose. And when I look at this scripture,

  220. I just visualize a line literally being drawn, and it's

  221. up to us to make a decision. What side are

  222. you going to be on? Because here's the thing. The

  223. line's here. Whether you acknowledge the line is here or not,

  224. a line is being drawn. As for me in my house,

  225. though we will serve the Lord, a line's been drawn.

  226. And when I read this scripture and I start to

  227. think about it, you got to pick a side. You

  228. have to decide. And let me tell you, there's nothing

  229. for you over here but the world will convince you

  230. that there is stuff over here for you. You will

  231. search over here to be fulfilled and satisfied, only to

  232. be left hopeless and empty. But when we come over

  233. here and we decide God, I'm all in with you,

  234. I'm rocking with you, Jesus, I'm not. I don't want

  235. to go back there. And I looked at this scripture

  236. because this is a powerful scripture that brings to us home.

  237. Matthew six point twenty four says it like this. No

  238. one can serve two masters. A line has been drawn.

  239. No one can serve two masters, for you will hate

  240. one and love the other. You will be devoted to

  241. one and despise the other. You can not serve God

  242. and be enslaved to money. You cannot serve God and

  243. be running over here to that computer looking at pornography

  244. every day. You cannot serve God. No, no, no, no. Let

  245. me just emphasize this. Is there. Grace is there? Mercy

  246. is their forgiveness? Absolutely? Is there any at any point

  247. can you have repentance which means to turn Yes. But

  248. some people are trying to live both. We're trying to

  249. be over here and get satisfaction in the pornography. We're

  250. trying to be over here and get satisfaction from the

  251. drugs and the alcohol and the things that we think

  252. will help us. And some people, I don't know what

  253. it is for you. I want you to be able

  254. to find yourself when when we say yo, there's a

  255. line here and over here, we have purpose, we have

  256. a plan that God has for you. There's love, there's joy,

  257. there's freedom over on this side. What are you running to?

  258. What do you find yourself? Is it money? Are you

  259. trying to serve God in go and bury your money

  260. and your finances and that's your definition of success. Is

  261. it gossiping? Is it talking down to people? Is it

  262. being mean?

  263. Like?

  264. What are you trying? What are you doing over here?

  265. When really we just need to decide God, I'm with

  266. you whatever you want to do, God, whatever you want

  267. to do, I'm all in over here the church. We

  268. have to decide. Can I say it like this? Destiny

  269. demands a decision. Destiny demands a decision. The plan and

  270. the purpose that sits on your life demands that you

  271. make a decision. No longer coming over here and trying

  272. to be on this side and then come over here

  273. I'm gonna come to church on Sunday, but then I'm

  274. gonna go over to that guy's house on Tuesday. I'm

  275. gonna go over here, but then I'm gonna smoke over

  276. here a little bit. We can't keep coming back and forward.

  277. You can't serve too masters. We have to decide. I

  278. want to talk to these people. I want to talk

  279. to the people that think this is cool, the ones

  280. that are standing on the line. It's kind of like

  281. one of them. It's like, yeah, I'm kind of indifferent.

  282. I go to church every now and then, and you know,

  283. but I'm gonna do my own thing though, because you know,

  284. I don't know. Sometime when I hear you follow God,

  285. you got to give up stuff. And I'm not willing

  286. to give up that stuff. But I'm still a good person.

  287. And the whole time, this whole time, you're just you're

  288. riding the line, you're on the fence, you're luke warm,

  289. you're just sitting here in the middle, being ineffective. This

  290. is not the place to be. I say, like, this

  291. Satan owns this. Satan owns the fence. When you're not picking,

  292. when you're going back and forth back the Bible says

  293. you cannot serve two masters. And this is exactly what

  294. this represents. You're trying to serve by It's time to decide,

  295. got to make a decision. And there's a term that

  296. I keep hearing in my mind. Have you ever heard

  297. the term double down? You ever heard that that? The

  298. term double down, it's been used. Listen, I'm not promoting gambling,

  299. but it is a gambling term. Okay. But there is

  300. also a Webster definition of double down. Okay. It is

  301. to strengthen one's commitment to our particular strategy or course

  302. of action, typically one that is potentially risky. And today, church,

  303. I'm coming before you to ask you to make a decision,

  304. but to make a decision to double down. The title

  305. of our message, if you're taking notes, is it's time

  306. to double down. It is time to double down. That's

  307. the kind of decision I'm making. The decision where you're

  308. not gonna be moved, You're not gonna be way, You're

  309. not gonna be like no, you're saying no, I'm ten

  310. toes down with what God said over my life. You

  311. do what you want to do, but as for me,

  312. in my house, we will serve the Lord some of

  313. the greatest moments, movements and miracles that we see started

  314. with somebody making a decision to double down. Some of

  315. the greatest movements that we see started with the decision

  316. to double down. There's one that as I was just

  317. going through and looking at these amazing historical things that

  318. have happened and business decisions and all this, one of

  319. the things that came up that was actually pretty cool

  320. was Frederick Smith. If you're not aware, he started FedEx.

  321. And there was a point where we all know FedEx.

  322. Y'all you get your packages from fedexk Sometimes they be

  323. coming and bowling them up on your porch. I don't

  324. know why they do that. Then there's a couple of times,

  325. man FedEx, if you're listening, I love you. But also

  326. I have a ring camera at my house and sometimes

  327. they break stuff. They just get tossed. Okay, Anyways, FedEx amazing.

  328. Shout out Frederick Smith. Okay. He was in a place

  329. where business wasn't doing so good. This was early on,

  330. and he was in this place where he wasn't doing well,

  331. and he looked at the count He was trying to

  332. get loans to continue to keep the business going, and

  333. he couldn't, and so what he did was the company

  334. actually had five thousand dollars left in the account, and

  335. he believed in the company so much that he took

  336. that five thousand. He went to Vegas and he literally

  337. doubled down in a game of blackjack, won twenty seven

  338. thousand dollars, used that money to secure a loan, and

  339. now today FedEx is worth fifty five billion dollars. Okay.

  340. What I am not saying is to go to Vegas

  341. and double down and spend your money. Okay. What I

  342. am saying is that Frederick Smith believed in something so

  343. much that he doubled down on it, and then we

  344. see that it's worth fifty five billion dollars today, super

  345. successful company is incredible. Walt Disney, any Disney fans in

  346. the building, come on, okay, okay, come on. I expected

  347. a few more for Disney. That's crazy. You got Nickelodeon

  348. people crazy. Walt Disney, early on in his career, went

  349. to go and make the movie snow White, the original.

  350. They've never done this before. They've never done I'm talking

  351. about the original Snow White, not the one that just

  352. came out. Okay, all right, I'll just get Disney, y'all.

  353. Disney could take you down. Disney, I love you. I

  354. got Disney plus plus. Don't cancel me. I love you. Okay,

  355. I got the plus plus, So the plus I get,

  356. you know, all the stuff Disney got told no. In fact,

  357. they actually like laughed at him when you look it up.

  358. They thought it was such a crazy idea that he

  359. was gonna make this movie. And so he was like,

  360. you know what, Bete, I believe in it so much

  361. that he actually went and took a mortgage out against

  362. his house, paid and funded the movie. And then guess

  363. what happened. The movie blew up, got all the money

  364. in the world. And then now he started investing and

  365. now we see fast forward. That is what put him

  366. on the trajectory to see Disney what you see today,

  367. which is worth two one hundred and eleven point sixty

  368. five billion dollars. Okay, I almost didn't forget the point

  369. the decimal there, and I was just gonna say two

  370. hundred and eleven, But that's disrespectful. Okay. My bank account,

  371. the point represents sixty five cents. This bank account, the

  372. point actually represents sixty five million dollars. So it feels

  373. like I should probably not be disrespectful and point that, Okay,

  374. when your decimal represents millions, you made it all right.

  375. But they believed in it so much and they made

  376. a decision to double down on it in church. We

  377. see this all throughout the Bible, time and time again.

  378. I mean, you look at Noah. My guy was out

  379. there doubling down on the word that God gave him.

  380. He was obedient even when he looked crazy. Here was

  381. no rain, not a drop, but he was out there, building, crafting,

  382. getting his family of ball I'm sure getting made fun of.

  383. All this stuff was happening, but he doubled down and

  384. was obedient to God. And then the rain came. Shadrack me,

  385. shack bendigo. We see this also throughout where they refused,

  386. they doubled down on No this is the God I

  387. serve as for me in my house, we will serve

  388. the Lord. We're not bowing down to your God. And

  389. guess what God protected them in the fire. Daniel the

  390. lions din same thing, doubled down on the God he served,

  391. thrown into the lions, then protected by God. Paul the

  392. apostle who we talked about, who we read the Bible

  393. that he has written, and listen the stuff that he

  394. went through that we know about. He went through a

  395. lot of stuff, down to a snake bite, to a shipwreck,

  396. to beaten, to flog, to thrown in prison, and he's

  397. still doubled down. He made a decision every day to

  398. double down. No, I know what God said. I know

  399. what God said, and what I want to say. The

  400. subtitle to my message what I'm believing today is that

  401. I'm decided not distracted. We are gonna double down as

  402. a church in what God said, and I believe we

  403. are gonna stand and say I'm decided, I am not

  404. distracted when we look at all these things that took place.

  405. Here's the wild thing for me. When I look at

  406. Frederick Smith and Walt Disney, y'all, they didn't have a

  407. guarantee when they made that decision to double down. Like

  408. I'm not saying, maybe they probably made a good financial

  409. business decision, cool, they didn't have a guarantee that it

  410. was gonna work. We have a guarantee. We have a

  411. guarantee when we stand and say God, I am with you.

  412. I don't care what the world is offering me. I

  413. don't care what frustrations I'm going through. I'm doubling down

  414. with you. We have a guarantee. This is what the

  415. Bible says. One of my favorite scriptures, write it down

  416. Ephesians one thirteen through fourteen. And now you gentiles, have

  417. also heard the truth, the good news that God saves you.

  418. And now, Transformation Church, you have heard the good news

  419. that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ,

  420. he has identified you as his own by giving you

  421. the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit

  422. is God's guarantee that he will give us the inheritance

  423. he promised, and that he has purchased us to be

  424. his own people. He did this, so we praise him

  425. and glorify him. We're backed by God. We're backed by him.

  426. We have promises, we have guarantees. We had the Holy

  427. Spirit to lead us and guide us. And so as

  428. I'm sitting here and I'm like God, so why won't

  429. we double down with this thing? Why is this? Why

  430. is this so tempting? Why is this so difficult for

  431. us in this world to be so hung up of

  432. coming up here? Can I can I just say something?

  433. When we look even in Genesis now that there was.

  434. There was only one distraction in the garden, one thing

  435. that God said, yo, all of this, Adam and Eve,

  436. yours this one thing, don't go over there. And as

  437. you know, they went to the one thing. And now

  438. I just want to acknowledge just the humanity of this, y'all.

  439. We don't have just one thing. There's a billion things

  440. that we wake up and we deal with on on TV,

  441. as we're scrolling, as we're driving. What life brings us,

  442. the temptations that are in front of us. It's actually

  443. kind of crazy. And this does it's, it's, it's it's

  444. and it's again not not in any condemning way. There's

  445. a drift that takes place. You start coming over here,

  446. you don't You don't accidentally drift over here? Can I

  447. just tell you that you don't accidentally. It's a decision

  448. to come over here. This is a drift. You can

  449. start drifting over here. So I was asking, like, God,

  450. but what why is this? Why? Why is it so

  451. challenging to make a decision to double down? Why is

  452. it so why? Why? And I just kept thinking through

  453. all the stories we just looked at, through Frederick Smith,

  454. through Walt Disney, through Noah, through through the Hebrew Boys,

  455. through through Paul, through me, through I know the people

  456. in this room. I feel like the common denominator is opposition.

  457. All of these stories that we hear, we read, all

  458. the greatest moments, movements and miracles that we see that

  459. started with the decision to double down started with opposition.

  460. There was some sort of challenge and mountain in front

  461. of them. We've all experienced opposition. Show of hands. Who

  462. in here has faced some sort of opposition in life,

  463. A challenge, a frustration, something that you were just like,

  464. I don't know how every hand is in the air

  465. and we can be distracted by opposition. One of my

  466. kind of funny oppositions right now in life, I for

  467. some reason made a decision that I'm going to train

  468. for high Rocks. If you don't know what high rocks is, Yeah,

  469. shout out to the four people that are doing high

  470. Rocks with me. But it is like, it's literally I

  471. don't know why I'm doing it. It's running, working out, running,

  472. working out, running, working out, running, working out, all this stuff,

  473. But right now that's like an opposition that I'm facing.

  474. But there's something about it. This is I know that

  475. if I try. I know that if I prepare, I

  476. know that if I lock in, I can actually face

  477. this opposed opponent. I know that I can face the opposition.

  478. I know that I can go. I know that I

  479. can succeed. And maybe for you it's not it's not

  480. high rocks, okay, because let me be honest, there's a

  481. lot of oppositions that I faced in my life that

  482. I have to deal with that is not some workout,

  483. think real life. Even just this week leading up to

  484. this sermon, my whole family got sick and I was

  485. just like, really, God like, come on, man, I'm out

  486. here like doing the matrix, like trying to dodge the sickness.

  487. And I did. Lord protected me. But there was just stuff,

  488. and there was mental battles. There was all this stuff.

  489. There was things that going on, and there was opposition.

  490. Can anybody else relate to this that there's stuff life

  491. be life in And I don't know what the opposition

  492. is for you. I don't know what the challenge is,

  493. what the mountain is. I don't know if it's frustration

  494. in the season you're in. I don't know if that

  495. opposition is you've been trying to have a baby and

  496. it's just not happening, and disappointment after disappointment. I don't

  497. know for you if the opposition is you actually have

  498. lost a child and now you're navigating grief and you

  499. don't know how you're gonna get through this. I don't

  500. know for you if it's battling an addiction and you're

  501. in a season right now where you're counting your sobriety

  502. days and you're facing this opposite and you're like, how

  503. in the world am I gonna do this? I don't

  504. know what it is, but I know that we can

  505. be distracted by opposition. You don't have to be defeated

  506. by opposition, but destiny can be delayed by the distraction

  507. of it. It can be delayed. We can sit so

  508. long and and just wait and just have this moment.

  509. I don't know about you, but I said, I'll start tomorrow.

  510. I'll start tomorrow. I'll start tomorrow, probably a million times

  511. in a lot of situations in my life, because let's

  512. be honest, instead of facing the challenge, instead of facing

  513. this huge mountain that's in front of us, it is

  514. so much easier not to do anything. It's so much

  515. easier to disconnect from that loved one, instead of really

  516. believing that God is gonna heal him. It is so

  517. much easier to run to that bottle. It is so

  518. much easier to run to that pipe. It is so

  519. much easier to leave that treatment center. It is so

  520. much easier to think because you're in prisoning, God forgot

  521. about you. It is so much easier not to face

  522. the opposition and get so caught up with how is

  523. this gonna happen? I don't understand, Instead of saying I

  524. am doubling down with what God said to me, it's

  525. easier not to move. Here's what I want to tell you.

  526. There is a version of you that is waiting for

  527. you to double down and decide to face that opposition.

  528. There is a version of you that is waiting for

  529. you to face that challenge. There is a version of

  530. you that is willing, is waiting for you to admit

  531. that you need help in your marriage. There is a

  532. version of you that is waiting for you to check

  533. yourself into the treatment center. There is a version of

  534. you that is waiting for you to forgive that person.

  535. There is a version of you that whatever the opponent

  536. is in front of you, that is waiting for you

  537. to take it on head on team. When you show

  538. that picture of me real quick, I want to show

  539. you something. Yeah, let me just I feel like you know,

  540. we gotta come up here real quick. Just come on.

  541. I mean this crazy man. Look at that guy. I

  542. still got that T shirt. I mighta put it on

  543. one day. Why am I showing this picture? This is important.

  544. This version of me was waiting on that version of

  545. me to make a decision so that this version of

  546. me could come and preach this message to you. This

  547. version of me was waiting and pleading and begging and saying,

  548. will you please get healthy? Waiting. You can't convince me.

  549. I do not think God would be up here if

  550. that version of me did not double down in his

  551. health and fitness. You can't convince me. Here's what I

  552. want to say and say like this. A lot of

  553. times you will face opposition in areas you were designed

  554. to occupy. A lot of times you will face opposition

  555. in areas you were designed to occupy. What do I

  556. mean by that? That version of me made a decision

  557. to double down in health, and now I'm occupying a

  558. space in fitness. I have a sponsorship which is crazy,

  559. which is wild. People are reaching out to me for encouragement,

  560. for advice. I'm occupying the space of fitness. Are you

  561. kidding me? That guy had zero idea? But I'm occupying

  562. space now, and I just want to ask you what

  563. version of you is waiting? Yes, I'm talking about doubling

  564. down with Jesus. I'm also talking about there might be

  565. some areas in your life that you just need to

  566. double down in. Double down in your marriage, Stop looking around,

  567. stop scrolling at night, double down invest in your marriage.

  568. Because what if you're supposed to occupy that space and

  569. then go on and help other couples through things. My

  570. hope is alive. Brothers and sisters. You were designed to

  571. occupy the space and encourage and bring life and show

  572. people that it is possible to be sober, that it

  573. is possible to rise from the ashes, that it is possible.

  574. That opposition you're facing is for a reason. I don't

  575. know what it is for you, but if you're facing it,

  576. if there's an opposition in your life, a frustration, something

  577. that every time you go towards it, some of you,

  578. you know, God told you to write that book, and

  579. then you start getting distracted by that. I don't know.

  580. It's not time yet write the book. You're designed to

  581. occupy that space? What words has God given you that

  582. the second you start thinking about it, you start saying,

  583. that's not pass designed to occupy it. There's a version

  584. of you that's waiting. It's waiting for you to decide.

  585. And here's what I want to just at least encourage

  586. you with, is because what can happen is I know

  587. that it just seems overwhelming of like oh my godness,

  588. like okay, but I still like, what do I do?

  589. And then that sounds like a lot. Then I gotta

  590. make a decision, and then can I be it's a

  591. daily decision. It's not like an you have to daily

  592. decide to do a lot of this. There's not just

  593. like a one time done moment or anything like that.

  594. But what does happen? Can I encourage you with this?

  595. Is you make a decision and then the word of

  596. God says that he will give you the desires to

  597. do what pleases him. So I believe, and I've seen

  598. it through my life. I'm living proof that I decided

  599. to follow Jesus. I'm all in. The temptations were still there.

  600. But what happened was I started spending time with God,

  601. and then he gave me the desires of him to

  602. do what pleases him, to give me the power and

  603. everything I need, and brought me the right people. And

  604. then what starts to happen is then you start going

  605. into this place of default. Then this right here over here,

  606. when you're right here, now you stand in this place

  607. and this isn't even an option anymore. You decided God

  608. gave you the desire. Now it's just default. When people

  609. bring out stuff, it's like, yeah, that isn't even a

  610. part of my life anymore. It becomes your default, and

  611. then you step into destiny. It starts with the decision,

  612. and you don't have to do it alone. Hebrews twelve.

  613. Let this encourage you. Here's how we do it. Therefore,

  614. this is the scripture of the year. If you didn't

  615. know here at Transformation Church and the year of focus. Therefore,

  616. anytime you see there for in the Bible is something

  617. I always want to know. Why therefore is there for?

  618. And what you need to know? Therefore is there for?

  619. Because the previous chapter was talking about all the amazing

  620. the faith the people that were doing saying yes to

  621. God and God's faithfulness coming, and they see the faithfulness

  622. of God transpire. And so what this is saying, Now, okay,

  623. we saw all the people that God was doing, these

  624. amazing mote movements, miracles, all the stuff. And now we're saying, therefore,

  625. since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of

  626. witnesses to the life of faith, we've seen it done before.

  627. Let us strip off every weight that slows us down,

  628. especially the sin that so easily trips us up, and

  629. let us run the race with endurance, the race God

  630. has set before us. How do we do this? We

  631. do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion

  632. who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy

  633. waiting him. He endured the cross, disregarding it shame. Now

  634. he is seated in the place of honor, beside beside

  635. God's throne. We fix our eyes on Jesus. When you

  636. acknowledge that there is a line, but you're saying no,

  637. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

  638. How you do that is you fix your eyes on Jesus.

  639. You say, I don't care what you are doing. I

  640. don't care what gods you are serving. I don't care

  641. what parties you are going to. I don't care what

  642. substance you're running to. As for me, in my house,

  643. my eyes are fixed on Jesus. We will serve the Lord.

  644. I'm gonna be obedient to whatever it is that he's

  645. telling me to do. I've decided to double down. So

  646. fixed on Jesus and what he says about me? You

  647. got Can I just tell you this? You gotta know

  648. what this says about you, because a lot of times

  649. when it looks when you start drifting a little bit

  650. and the enemy's tempting you with something or say, man,

  651. I don't know, there's no way you're gonna be able

  652. to face that. This book right here will encourage you,

  653. will give you the words that you need. This right

  654. here is a weapon. Use it. Keep your eyes fixed

  655. on Jesus. One of the ways you do that as

  656. you read this book. Okay, So now I just want

  657. to be able to answer this question because I know,

  658. like it's like, yo, this dude, he's yelling, he's passionate,

  659. it's tarming to double down and all that, like, but

  660. how but really, how do we do this? Though? How

  661. do we do this. When I leave this room, life

  662. is gonna happen. There's gonna be stuffed. There's gonna be

  663. a text message I get, There's gonna be a bill

  664. that I get. There's gonna be somebody that says something

  665. that makes me want to crash out. I don't know

  666. what it is for you, but life happens. How do

  667. we do it? The first way that you double down

  668. is you decide feel like I have said that, I

  669. don't think I need to run it back. You decide, okay,

  670. no more ride in the fence, and then you declare

  671. what do I mean by this? You tell people this

  672. is I'm not saying go and you tell people everything,

  673. and you gotta have to write people around you. But

  674. I'm telling you there are something so powerful when you

  675. tell people, you know what, today I'm actually gonna start.

  676. I'm gonna try to lose weight today. I'm gonna start

  677. this thirty day thing. You know what, I'm gonna call

  678. that counselor I'm gonna go ahead. You know what, we

  679. do have some stuff going on in our marriage right now.

  680. We're gonna fix it, invite through it. There's something that

  681. happens when you declare it. Y'all your boy. When I

  682. got released back ten years ago, I was on Facebook

  683. posting the crate like you know, I mean, with Jesus.

  684. Now I'm gonna reflect the sun s O n su

  685. win like I was saying. But I was declaring, though,

  686. oh my goodness, God, I might have to find this, Okay.

  687. I was literally when I got out, I went on

  688. Facebook and my little hashtag at the end, I don't

  689. think it was an actual hashtag, but it's how I

  690. ended everything was let's light it up. And in my

  691. head and it was like, Yo, I was a former

  692. drug addict, lighted up, and now we're lighting up for Jesus.

  693. I'm one hundred percent after a certain Instead of go

  694. out and never transform life, I'm saying, let's light it up.

  695. Let's light it up for Jesus. All right, you gotta

  696. declare it, you gotta tell people. Third, one daily devotion.

  697. Double down is not a one time event. It requires

  698. us not only to make a daily decision, but we

  699. have this daily devotion where we are seeking God's face,

  700. where we are seeking his word and what he says.

  701. We are continuing every single day to put him first.

  702. Seek first, the Kingdom of Heaven and all the other stuff.

  703. It's gonna come, but we have to seek him first.

  704. Are daily bred every day. We need to be in

  705. the word. We need to be praying, we need to

  706. be just spending time with our Father, because I think

  707. we can acknowledge there's a lot of distractions in this world.

  708. But when we are focused in fixing our eyes on Jesus,

  709. how we do that is a daily, daily devotion. This

  710. one's important. Dependable people. You need dependable people in your life.

  711. And I want to say this. I don't know if

  712. you're aware of this, but anytime I'd say about eighty

  713. five percent of the time when we are saying like

  714. actual practical, when we're preaching messages up here and you

  715. hear stuff a lot of the times, community friendships people

  716. are always a part of the solution. So don't miss this.

  717. There's somebody who keep hearing it, but yet you haven't

  718. taken a step. You need to be in community. You

  719. need that dependable person that can call you out very practically.

  720. If you do not have people, find somebody in an

  721. orange shirt, find a staff, never find somebody wearing a

  722. tribe shirt. Whatever you gotta do, and get in a tribe.

  723. We're not meant to do life alone. When you have

  724. dependable people in your life, they can ask if you're okay,

  725. they can check you, they can say, hey, man, when

  726. you said that, that didn't really represent who I feel

  727. like you are. And when you're starting, like when you're

  728. just speaking out loud and living out loud, there's something

  729. that happens, y'all. I'm telling you right now, if your

  730. boys started going to canes four times a week. I

  731. got some people in my life that I feel like

  732. they would say something like. I feel like at some

  733. point I have insulated myself so much that where it's like,

  734. hey man, I feel like you're supposed to be the

  735. fitness guy. Now it doesn't, you know, I feel like

  736. but it's because I have dependable people in my life.

  737. This last one's important discernment. This is huge. What am

  738. I saying here? Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit lead you will

  739. guide you in times where you're when you're drifting, when

  740. you're trying to figure out, you're frustrated, things are coming up,

  741. you're struggling to make that decision, you're struggling with your

  742. daily devotion. All you gotta do is stop Holy Spirit

  743. lives here, Holy Spirit, Am I supposed to go to that?

  744. Holy Spirit? Man? I don't know that business. It just

  745. seems a little like suspect should I invest in it?

  746. Holy these are real things, Holy Spirit man, I'm struggling

  747. being consistent with date night. Can you help me? Just

  748. figure like little practical things? Holy Spirit was left here,

  749. Jesus said as he was sending it, as sending it

  750. too Heaven. It's better if I go. But don't worry.

  751. I'm leaving you the help or the comfort or the

  752. guide discernment. It's time to decide transformation Church. And one

  753. beautiful thing that I want to say that happens when

  754. you make a decision is you gain clarity, stability, and authority.

  755. You gain clarity. The distractions lose their power when you

  756. are double down. I'm not moving, I'm decided, I'm not distracted.

  757. You get clarity, You get stability. You stop wavering between

  758. the line, you stop wavering and drifting back and forward,

  759. you stop being luke warm, you stop riding the fence.

  760. You get stability in life. And this third one, you

  761. get authority when you make a decision to double down

  762. and you realize the dominion that God has given you

  763. to occupy that space, you gain authority. And when I

  764. was just really praying through this, I was just trying

  765. to I'm super passionate about this. I've seen the power

  766. and the weight of decisions, and I've seen the power

  767. and weight of indecision. I've delayed there there. I just

  768. I believe that I delayed destiny. And yeah, it's just

  769. one of my own personal thoughts, like, man, what if

  770. I would have like, doesn't matter. God has restored, He

  771. restores everything that the enemy tried to take. But why

  772. am I so passionate about this? Why? And I and

  773. I just started like really thinking through my life and

  774. the journey I've been on, and y'all, I try to

  775. just live super authentic and on display and show you

  776. like what God is doing both past and present in

  777. my life. And and I really was just praying through

  778. and I just I wanted to share honestly, probably the

  779. most vulnerable, the most vulnerable part of my life. That

  780. is a very real depiction. There was a version of

  781. me that was so distracted by opposition that I just

  782. could not move. And I want you to see this,

  783. this video that you're going to see, it's literally is

  784. me in the height of my addiction. It was supposed

  785. to be a video that was going to be this

  786. like comeback story, and it slowly turned into a goodbye message.

  787. But I think this is important for you to see

  788. what happens when I was facing this opposition and I

  789. was afraid to move team. You know, I don't know.

  790. Why I keep recording things, because the intent of me

  791. recording from the beginning was, you know, and hope that

  792. things would get better and I could watch the progression and.

  793. See how good things are.

  794. M hmm, They're not.

  795. They're not good at all. You're not running on empty.

  796. I just don't know how much longer I can let

  797. me pretending that everything's okay. I was so happy when

  798. I was a kid, and look at me now. Every

  799. day is a struggle and I'm literally I'm drawing up late,

  800. and for some reason, something does happen to me and

  801. I give into the thoughts of, you know, ending it,

  802. which is very possible, because.

  803. I'm just running out of strength to say no to that.

  804. If something does, though, I just want my family to know.

  805. There was nothing. There was nothing you could have done.

  806. There's nothing anyone.

  807. Could have done.

  808. I'm in a very, very dark place right now, and

  809. I don't want.

  810. To get out.

  811. This is just a battle that I'm losing right now,

  812. and I really hope I don't lose permanently, because I

  813. would love to. I don't love to help people and

  814. get out of this place I missed.

  815. M m M.

  816. I will. I will cover him at the end. I

  817. promise God is moving. There's nothing that's impossible for him.

  818. There's nothing that's impossible for him. This version of me

  819. was waiting, was waiting on that version of me to

  820. stop messing around that the world was saying would bring

  821. me satisfaction. This version of me was waiting on that

  822. version of me to stop searching and trying to find

  823. fulfillment and everything else but the one thing, the one

  824. thing that offers eternal life, the one thing that offers

  825. joy and freedom that cannot be taken.

  826. This version of me, the version that is a father

  827. to Rowin's story, the version I got to marry the

  828. love of my life, Kayleie. The verse that gets to

  829. stand with some of the most amazing people in the

  830. world at the most amazing church of the world.

  831. I get to be here. But it all started when

  832. that version of me made a decision to double down

  833. on what God said. If you don't know the story fully,

  834. all you need to know is that I was sentenced,

  835. I was guilty. I did my time. But God saw

  836. fit when I was serving out my time to come

  837. and find me in the basement of a jail. And

  838. I just remember just crying out God, I need you,

  839. I'm tired, And I just remember the question posed to me,

  840. So are you done? Are you done yet? And in

  841. that moment, I realized, Yeah, God, I am so done

  842. with what is over here. I am so done with

  843. what the world has tried to trick me to believe,

  844. the distractions. And so I decided I am not gonna

  845. be distracted anymore. I decided to double down on this

  846. life with Jesus. I said a prayer, and at the

  847. end I said a man, and something shifted, something changed,

  848. something was sparked. But I started with a decision. Will

  849. you close your eyes and bow your heads with me?

  850. I want to do two things here. I want to

  851. do two calls. The first one the most important one.

  852. I believe that there are people in this room, people

  853. that are watching. You've been searching in all the wrong places,

  854. You've been trying to find it somewhere else. But I'm

  855. here today to say that Jesus wants to be the

  856. lord of your life and it's free. And so in

  857. this moment, as all heads are bad and eyes are closed,

  858. if you've never received Jesus before, you want to just

  859. declare that you want to rededicate your life to him

  860. and receive Jesus and say, I'm all in. I'm gonna

  861. ask that we all pray this prayer out loud together

  862. for the benefits of others. Dear God, thank you for

  863. sinning Jesus to die and across for me. I admit

  864. that I've made mistakes. Jesus. I believe you lived, you died,

  865. and you rose again just for me. Will you change me,

  866. renew me, transform me. I am yours and the Jesus name.

  867. We pray, Amen and Amn y'all. If you just made

  868. that decision, will you just slip your hand up in

  869. the air, If you just made that decision, I see you,

  870. I see you, I see you, I see you, I

  871. see you, I see you. It's the best decision that

  872. you will ever make. Life doesn't automatically get perfect overnight,

  873. but I'm telling you right now, it gets a whole

  874. lot better because you don't do it alone. It's the

  875. best decision you'll ever make, and do me a favor.

  876. And if that was you text the word save to

  877. a two eight two eight two. We just want to

  878. come along side you. Tell somebody beyond texting the number,

  879. tell somebody and honestly, guys, the other thing I want

  880. to do, and I feel so strong about this, I

  881. want to have a moment. I invited the worship team

  882. back up here. I want to ask a question. This

  883. is the second call. If you have felt anything in

  884. this message or Holy Spirit prompting you an area that

  885. you know you need to double down in. Maybe for

  886. you it's doubling down in your marriage. Maybe for you

  887. it's doubling down in your sobriety. Maybe for you it's

  888. doubling down in that business. Maybe for you it's doubling

  889. down and believing for the miracle that God is gonna

  890. do and perform in that loved one's life. I don't

  891. know what it is for you. Maybe for you, you

  892. double down with Jesus today. Maybe for you need to

  893. say no, God, I'm re upping the double down today.

  894. I want to ask that you come forward I want

  895. to ask that you come forward. We're just gonna worship

  896. together and then we're gonna get out of here. But

  897. I want you because I would love to pray for you,

  898. because I believe that God is going to meet you

  899. in this decision. I believe that the moment I decided

  900. to follow Jesus things started. There was a spark that

  901. happened that ignited something that ignited my purpose. And I

  902. believe that that is what God wants to do here today.

  903. Even if you don't want to come down to the

  904. altar and maybe it's getting crowd, I'm telling you just

  905. even just shift a little bit. You know, you don't

  906. want to come down, that's cool, but you know, like

  907. just take a little step and say, I'm doubling down.

  908. Thank you Lord, Thank you Lord God. Right now, Lord,

  909. I pray over every single person that is making their

  910. way down here, that is down here online. He see

  911. nation people that are saying, I'm doubling down. I'm decided,

  912. I'm not distracted. I'm going all in with you right now. God.

  913. I pray You're blessing over them. I pray favor over them.

  914. I pray peace over them. God. I pray for that

  915. young lady. He's husband that is facing God. You know

  916. exactly what he's going through. God. I pray protection over him. God.

  917. I pray for protection over any of my incarcerated friends

  918. that are listening right now, that you will give them peace. God.

  919. I pray for every person that is down here, that

  920. you will give them peace. God. It's no turning back.

  921. That's the decision we'll making. We're not turning back. We're

  922. not looking behind us. Because as for me in my house,

  923. we will serve the Lord. Say that with me Transformation Church.

  924. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

  925. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

  926. There's no turning back. There's a story in the Bible

  927. where Paul and Silas were in prison and they were beaten,

  928. and they were thrown in there, and instead of being

  929. so discouraged and looking at their surroundings, instead they started

  930. crying out to God. They started worshiping God. And then

  931. the prison doors swung open, the chains fell down, the

  932. jailer got saved, the jailer's family got saved. And I

  933. believe in this moment, as we worship, as we are

  934. deciding to double down. I'm believing that God is gonna

  935. move in your life. I believe that there are people

  936. that you're praying and believing for miracles for that are

  937. not in this room, that you are standing in the

  938. gap for. I believe that that same power that rescued

  939. me in that jail cell is in this room right now.

  940. Thank you for joining us today. If you said that

  941. prayer and accept it Jesus into your heart, it's the

  942. best decision you could ever make.
