Perspective Shift | Todd Jones

Well, welcome. It's so good to be with you this

morning. I want to welcome those of you here.

I want to welcome those of you online. Those

of you in Baghdad, welcome. In Paulding, welcome.

In Paulding, I got to hang out with Mike and

Sue Lynn this week. You guys are in great hands

out there. Me and Mike, we have the same haircut.

It's awesome. Well, welcome, guys. So good that

I get to hang out with you this morning. And

some of you are like, oh, this guy again. Don't

worry, the real guy will be back next week, okay?

But until then, you're stuck with the bald eagle

for today, okay? So there, okay, okay. All right,

I like that. Man, I believe, I believe that shifting

our perspective can change everything. I believe

that shifting our perspective can change everything.

So I got a question for you and I want you to

be honest. And I want you to be honest because

I know the two places we like to lie the most

are in church and at the doctor. You know what

I mean? All right, you go to the doctor and they're

like, what hurts? You're like, nothing. They're

like, do you drink? You're all, never. Do you

smoke? Never. Do you eat vegetables? Every day,

right? You liars, liars. And then we come to

church. Do you sin? Nope, not me. Okay, I want

you to be honest in church, all right? How many

of you, when you see a glass that's around the

halfway point with liquid, would say that that

glass is half empty? How many of you would say

it's half empty? Okay, how many of you would

say it's half full? Okay, how many of you just

lied about which one you were? Okay, your spouse

is hitting you, I know you know. How many of

you married someone that would say the opposite

of you? All right, yeah, no, no, I'm not trying

to break up marriages today. Okay, I'm just saying.

We have different perspectives on the same things.

Sometimes I have to shift my perspective and

see it from a different way. When my kids wake

me up at 5 a .m. and I want to throw them, I

have to shift my perspective to go, I am just

so awesome that they want to see me right away.

They want to spend more time with me. When my

house is a disaster, I have to look at it and

I have to shift my perspective and go, our life

is just so full of so many amazing things. We

have to shift our perspective. I coach baseball

at Embry -Riddle University, and a couple weeks

ago we took a trip to Florida to play baseball

out there. And I don't know if you know this,

but Prescott is really dry. I also don't know

if you know this, but in like February time,

many times Prescott is pretty cool when it comes

to weather. Florida is not dry and it is not

cool. And so we were at... Florida, we get there

and the guys are sweating. We are just drenched

with sweat. It is hot. And they're a bunch of

whiners, okay? And so I heard a thousand times,

coach, I'm so hot. Coach, I'm sweating. I coach,

this is hard. And I'm like, I know, I'm doing

this too. And so I had to then change how I responded

instead of yes, it's hot, to wow, your body must

be so loose right now because of this heat. Your

shoulder must feel great when you throw the ball

because you're so loose because of this wonderful

weather we get to play in. I have to shift our

perspective and what we see. And I'm not just

talking about being positive. I'm not just talking

about, yeah, let's just have a positive perspective

on things. Shifting perspective, what it means

is really just taking normal things and seeing

them from a different perspective. way, different

perspective. Okay, when I was getting ready for

this message, people were going, hey, are you

going to draw on the boards like Pastor John

did? Are you going to bring the boards up here?

And I'm like, no, I'm not going to do that. And

they're like, why? And I'm like, because if his

art compared to my art makes him look like Vincent

Van Gogh, all right, we're not doing this. I'm

not drawing in front of people. But I do enjoy

art. I like art. And so I found this art where

it takes normal everyday objects that kind of

look like junk, and there's a pile of them. You

can throw that photo up there. This is what it

would look like. But when you change your perspective

of how you look at the normal everyday things,

this is what you see, right? Okay, some of you

were not impressed at all. Okay, that's great.

That's okay. I got another one to show you, right?

There's a pile of everyday normal things. That

you see all the time, but if you shift your perspective

and look at it this way, this is what you see.

All right, a little bit better on that one. Good

job, I appreciate it. Ooh, ah. And our perspective

changes what. We see, if you've been around the

last couple of weeks, last several weeks, we've

been in this collection called Just Camping.

And the idea of Just Camping, the gist of what

this is all about is that you were never created

to exist on this planet forever, right? This

is just camping. You're just stopping by here.

And when we put all of our stake into what happens

in this life right here, right now, and we build

our kingdom here, we've missed God's kingdom.

Because we are just passing through, we are just

camping. And I think this collection has created

a lot of attention for some of you, right? Because

you've been convicted by this idea and you go,

I want to live like I'm just camping. I don't

want to live like this life is all that matters.

I want there to be more, but life still has to

happen. Like I still have to live in a house.

I still have to drive a car. I still have to

go to work. I still have to take my kids to school.

That stuff still happens. And you find yourself

in this tension of, I wanna live like I'm just

camping, but there's still life. And what if,

what if our perspective just needs to shift?

What if we just need to see things a little bit

differently? We're gonna be in 2 Corinthians

chapter five. This collection is built on 2 Corinthians

chapter five. When John and I speak, it is not

our words. We always go to God's word and what

God's word is our guide in this. In 2 Corinthians

chapter five, verse 16, it says this. So from

now on, we regard no one from a worldly point

of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this

way, we do so no longer. We're not seeing him

from a worldly perspective. What we see here

is we have the natural perspective versus the

divine perspective. The natural says, this is

all there is. The divine says something different.

The natural says, this is all there is, is what

is in front of me right now. A couple of years

ago, my family and I, we went on what I call

a pastor's vacation. And a pastor's vacation

is this. Anybody who gives us a free house to

stay at, that's where we go and that's where

our vacation is because that's how we roll, okay?

And so somebody in the church said, hey, we have

this beach house if you would like to go stay

at it. And this beach house was incredible. It

was amazing. It was three levels and on the top

level, there was a hot tub. On the bottom level,

there was a movie room and a game room. It was

amazing. I could not wait to show my kids this

house. And as we got to this beach house, we

go in on the middle level and right next to the

door, there's a little box of toys and they are

so over the moon excited about the box of toys.

They're playing with the toys. And I'm like,

girls, let me show you the rest of the house.

And they're like, no, this is amazing. And I'm

like, no, you don't understand. And they're like,

but this is so good. And they were stuck, like

this is all there was instead of realizing there

was so much more. And I think sometimes in this

life, We have this earthly perspective, this

natural perspective to see that this is all there

is. And it seems like this life sees death as

the end, but a divine perspective sees it as

eternal. When our existence is seen from an eternal

perspective, your existence on this planet is

seen from an eternal perspective, it changes

how we live because we understand a few things.

If you're taking notes, take this down. You were

created. to worship. You were created to worship,

okay? That is why you are here. We ask this large

existential question of why do we exist? You

were created to worship. It says in Colossians

1, 16, for in him all things were created, things

in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible,

whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities,

all things. have been created through him. That

is what everything you see or don't see was created

by God. He's originator of this. He created it.

And then it says this, created through him and

for him. It was created for God. Why do you create

something for you? It is to then worship him,

right? You were created to worship. It says in

Psalm 95, six, come, let us bow down in worship.

Let us kneel before the Lord, our maker. God

created you and everything to worship him. That

means that original design, when God originally

created Adam and Eve in the garden, first humans

ever made, they were created to worship him and

they were living in union with him. Their life

was a perfect union with God where their job

was to worship him. I think I had to hang out

in this garden. Their job was to worship God.

They were in perfect union. They were naked and

not ashamed. Their job was to walk around and

to name animals. How cool is that? I think they

messed up on some of them though. They had an

opportunity. And what they came up with was peacock,

really? That's a disco turkey and you know it,

all right? You know what I'm saying? Like they

had an opportunity to name it right. They went

with rhinoceros, like that's cool and all, right?

That is a battle unicorn. That is what that thing

is, right? They messed up, but their job was

literally just to walk around and name animals.

and have perfect union with God, have worship

with God. They were created to worship him. This

is baked into us. This is who we are. This is

baked into who you are as a person. You were

created to worship. And so a lot of times we

end up worshiping the things that are in our

life and we don't even know we're worshiping

them. I find myself in my life worshiping what

I do. Like I love what I do. I get to do amazing

jobs. I get to do amazing things. And I find

my, I end up worshiping what I do. I end up worshiping

my family. I love my family. My family's great,

but sometimes I start worshiping my family. I

have my spouse. My wife is incredible. I don't

know how I tricked her into marrying me. She's

amazing. But I find myself worshiping my wife.

I find myself worshiping my sports teams. I find

myself worshiping these things in my life because

I'm created to worship and I fill in these other

things in my life to worship. Worship means giving

my reverence, my adoration, my time or my energy

to them. But true worship, the worship that you

were created for is to bring glory to God. And

that word worship can also be kingdom mission.

You were made to live on kingdom mission. When

you said yes to Jesus, that's the mission you

were put on. We define kingdom mission here at

Heights as you were made to live in this state

of loving. The state of giving, the state of

serving, inviting, sharing Jesus with people.

This is what you were created to do is to worship.

And this is good news for us that you were created

to worship because this actually matters. Write

this down. Worship lasts. Worship lasts. It matters.

It actually matters and it lasts. It's not something

that is going to just fade away because it's

something that actually matters. All right, the

theme verse that we have for this collection,

like I said, 2 Corinthians 5, starting in verse

one, it says this, for we know that if the earthly

tent we live in, this life is destroyed, we have

a building from God, an eternal house in heaven,

not built by human hands. Some of you, you came

to church today for some encouragement. Okay,

you ready? I'm gonna give it to you. All of us,

you, me, everyone, you are actively in the process

of dying right now. Thanks for coming to church.

See you later, right? Thanks, Todd. That's very

encouraging. But the truth is you and me and

everyone, you're actively in the process of dying

right now. And when you understand that, you

start going, okay, maybe my life needs to be

lived different. And guess what you don't get

to take with you when you die? You don't get

to take your trophies with you. And a couple

of years ago, my parents, they brought this box

of trophies from their house. that were mine

when I was younger to my house. And I kid you

not when I tell you it had eight generations

of dust bunnies living on it. Like it was covered

in dust. And I'm like, why the heck do I want

this box of trophies that I had when I was a

kid that was at your house, it was perfectly

fine at your house, and now you're bringing it

to mine. And you know what I did with those trophies?

I put them on the shelf in my garage where they're

still collecting more dust. But you know why

I couldn't throw them away? Because they meant

something. Each one of them was an accomplishment

that I had. I'm like, it's good. I want this.

But you don't get to take your trophies with

you. You don't get to take your house with you.

You don't get to take your car with you when

you die, which is good news for me. Because I

drive what I call is a youth pastor's Ferrari,

okay? If you don't know what that means, you

should see me driving sometime, right? You might

see my bumper dragging behind my car, but it's

just what I got. I'm glad I don't get to take

it with me. Actually, you know what you don't

get to take with you? Your team's World Series

champions, which is also good news because my

team doesn't have any World Series championships.

So, you know, there we are. But we put so much

stock in all these things that you don't get

to take with you. You don't get to take your

bank account with you. Uh -oh, this is getting

a little more personal. You don't get to take

your investments with you. Oh, you found the

right investment and it's perfect and it's yielding

a lot and everything's great and it's perfect

and you don't get to take it with you. You don't

get to take your social media following with

you. You don't get to take all of the things

that you spend so much time, energy, and effort

in pouring into with you, right? Those things

do not last. In the end, they don't matter. If

we put it in the just camping context, it's like

this. You get out a dolly and you go to the fridge

in your kitchen and you start wheeling it out

of your house and your neighbors go, what are

you doing? And you go, I'm going camping. She's

got to take my fridge with me. It's this context.

When you go to your bedroom to pack for a camping

trip and you're like, I don't know how I'm going

to get this four post bed out of here. It's this

context. When you're going camping and you call

your friends and you go, hey, can you help me

load up my bookshelves? I'm going camping. Makes

no sense. You're like, why would you do that?

But this is what we do in life. As we start taking

things with us that don't matter because they

don't last. Worship. Worship lasts. Worship does

last. It matters. It is pouring into something

that actually matters. Paul continues in verse

17, 2 Corinthians 5, 17. Therefore, if anyone

is in Christ, the new creation has come, the

old has gone, the new is here. The old creation

is gone, the new is here. What this is, is it

is restoring what was broken. What was broken?

You remember God made Adam and Eve and everything

was perfect. They walked around, they named animals.

Everything was great. Relationship with God.

Well, sin came in and broke it because their

original design was to be a worshiper of God.

And in perfect union, they were worshiping God.

When sin broke that, it broke this original design

that was there. And now because of that, it needs

to be restored. My dad has a 1969 Camaro. They

threw a big block Chevy 396 in and it sounds

good and it is awesome and it's got horsepower.

And some of you guys, you're drooling right now.

I see you, okay? This car is amazing. This car

is awesome. It's American muscle. But this car

has been parked for a while. This car hasn't

just been parked for a while, it's been parked

in the elements for a while. So there's some

rust involved. So the interior has completely

deteriorated and it needs... Some love. Not just

some love. It needs someone to come along and

say, hey, I'm going to invest in restoring this

vehicle because the original design is beautiful,

but what it has turned into is not, and it needs

some restoration. It needs to be restored to

its original design. What he's saying here is,

as Paul's saying, new creation. The old is gone.

The new is here. What is that? That's restoring

it to its original design, its original identity.

which is what? Worshipers of God. So that when

you said yes to Jesus, the old you is gone, the

new is here, you are restored to original identity,

which is worshiper of God. And through that perspective,

write this down, life is worship. Life is worship.

Okay, but that messes with our box because you

and I come to church with a box. We have a box

that we come into church with and this box holds

our definition of worship. And for us, worship

has been this thing that we've understood through

the American church and Heights, we're guilty

of this too. We say things like, would you stand

for worship? We say things like, would you like

to join the worship band or the worship team?

We say things like we are gonna enter into a

time of worship and we think that worship is

singing a song. We think that worship is just

the songs that we sing in church and that is

worship. And sometimes we get crazy and we're

like, I can even take worship outside of church

and I can play a song in my car. And we think

that worship is a song. And sometimes then we

mature even further and we go, okay, maybe it's

not the song, but it's the whole service is a

worship service. And what we've done is we've

kept worship in the box of church. And we have

worship in church where we go to church to worship,

but then we have our life outside of it. And

worship stays at church, and our life is something

else. But when you understand that you were created

to be a worshiper, then you understand that your

life is worship. Everything you do is worship.

It's not just music. You worship God when you're

driving, and I don't mean when you turn on worship

music. You worship God when you're working out,

and I don't mean when you're listening to worship

music. What it means is this, Romans 12 verse

one. Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters

in view of God's mercy, God's mercy that he saved

you with in view of that, in view of the old

is gone, the new is here, offer your bodies as

a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.

Why? Because this is your true and proper worship.

Offering yourself. to God, offering your body

to God. See, offerings in the Old Testament,

they would take an animal, they would slaughter

the animal, and they would put it on an altar,

and they would offer it to God. And offerings

in the Old Testament were meant to worship and

bring honor to God. Offering yourself, what you

do, who you are to God is your true worship.

It is not a song in church. It is saying, hey,

this is me. And this is not just in the box of

church. This is everywhere, right? What it means

is this, Colossians 3, 23 and 24. Whatever you

do, work at it with all your heart as working

for the Lord, not for human masters. Whatever

it is you do, since you know that you will receive

an inheritance from the Lord as a reward, it

is the Lord Christ you are serving. What this

means is if you work construction, you are working

for the Lord, not for your foreman. not for the

person that is paying you. That's not who you're

working for. You're working for the Lord. What

this means is if you are a teacher, you are working

for the Lord, not for those bratty children in

front of you. That's not who you're working for.

What this means is that whatever you are doing,

you are working for the Lord, not for who is

giving you a paycheck. This means that if you

are a stay -at -home mom, your job is not just

to stay at home mom, it is working for the Lord.

This is your job, is to understand that everything

you do is working for the Lord. Why? Because

when you said yes to Jesus, you were restored

to your original purpose, which is a worshiper.

And worship is what lasts. And you're just camping.

So we get to invest in something that actually

matters. In our original purpose as a... And

here's the cool part is that when we live into

worshiping God, wherever we find ourself, here's

what happens, Matthew 5, 16. In the same way,

let your light shine before others that they

may see your good deeds and glorify your Father

in heaven. When you said yes to Jesus, you were

put on kingdom mission. Kingdom mission is sharing

Jesus. And when you worship God in every place

that you find yourself, what you're doing is

you're showing people around you who he is. When

your light shines before other people, in the

same way, They see your good deeds and they glorify

your father. So let me ask you, what tools have

you been given? What tools have you been given?

Because everything that you have, your possessions,

your money, everything that you have, everything

that you do, your skills, everything that is

at your disposal is a tool for worshiping God

or for fulfilling his mission. That's what it

is, right? Because if you are a worshiper, then

everything that you have in your life is a tool

to worship God. I have a friend who lives in

San Diego. He's a good friend of mine and he

owns a tattoo shop. And this individual, he was

a tattoo artist. This is how he makes his living.

This is how he pays his bills. And he started

this tattoo shop. And when he started it, he

named it Vessel Tattoo. And the reason he named

it Vessel Tattoo is he said, this is just a vessel.

to fulfill the mission God has given me. And

what he does at his tattoo shop, when someone

comes in, he's able to talk with them and he

loves to share Jesus with them. He shares Jesus

with them, he prays with them. He realizes that

he has a captive audience. They can't go anywhere.

They're literally sitting in his tattoo chair

and he's working on them. So he's like, man,

if you're here, I'm gonna tell you about Jesus.

I'm gonna pray for you. And he was telling me,

man, he had this guy come in and he's sitting

there and he starts. sharing Jesus, and he says,

hey, can I pray for you? And the guy looks at

him, he goes, listen, I don't want to hear anything

about Jesus. I am not religious. I don't want

to talk about that at all. Please do not do that.

And he goes, okay, man, okay. And so he just

started praying for him. You know why? Because

you can pray in your head, just you and God.

No one knows. No one can stop you. And he literally

has his hands on this guy. So for two hours,

he's praying for him with his hands on him. And

he just continues to pray. And about two hours

into it, the guy just stops and he goes, hey

man, actually my life is an absolute mess. Can

you tell me more about Jesus? And right then

and there in a tattoo shop, he shares Jesus with

this guy. And this guy gives his life to Christ

while sitting in a tattoo shop. You know why?

Because he realized. That his life was made to

worship God and what he had at his disposal is

just a tool to do that. And he was able to worship

God in the context of with what he had. This

is so important for us to understand what you

have is just something for you to worship God

with, to enhance your worship with what you do.

And this is why it's so important that we have

our identity in Jesus. When you said yes to Jesus,

When you place your faith and your trust in him

and you said, yes, I'm putting my faith in Jesus,

what you did is you accepted his payment on your

behalf. He paid your debt. And so when Jesus

paid your debt, what he did is he bought you.

You are his. That means your identity is in him.

Jesus, your identity is not in what you do. Your

identity is not in your possessions. Your identity

is not in other people's opinions. It's not in

all these things. But a lot of times we get confused

and we start chasing these other things to find

our identity in them. But we have to realize

that our identity is in Jesus. Because when your

identity is in him, you can see your life. You

can see your possessions. You can see your skills.

You can see that all these things that God has

given you as tools, that's all they are, because

they don't have anything more of you than what

they need. Your identity is in Jesus, and you

see these things as tools, but when you get it

twisted, when your identity isn't in him, then

those things begin to take on a role that they

were never meant to take on in your life. You

start putting your identity in your wealth. You

start putting identity in your status. Instead

of realizing identity's in Jesus, therefore all

these other things are just a tool. What you

and I need to do is we need to shift our perspective.

You need to shift your perspective. And you need

to start seeing your life with a mindset of worship.

This collection has really meant a lot to me

personally. It's been one of those things where

I'm like, man, It's putting into perspective

the fact that this life fades. It doesn't matter.

I've been investing in things. I've been trying

so hard at things that are just going away, specifically

when it comes to raising my kids. My wife and

I have been wrestling with this. Our kids are

involved in a lot of things. Some of them are

six days a week, three hours a day. I mean, a

lot of things. And the last thing that we want

is for our kids to put their identity in what

they do. All right, side note, if you're a parent

and you have kids that you've put in this thing

that you just want their success in whatever

they do so badly, you're missing the point. Success

in what they do, even if they're the best in

the world at their sport, they're done by the

time they're 35 or 40 and they have the rest

of their life ahead of them and you've missed

what mattered. I don't wanna miss it. My wife

and I go, I don't wanna miss what matters. I'm

not saying to not do this. My kids are involved

in a lot of things, but I need them to see it

in the right way and live for what matters. And

I think that there's this question that I want

them to ask. Because when I pick them up from

whatever they do, when I pick them up from soccer,

I pick them up from basketball, I pick them up

from dance, or when I get done with work, or

I call my wife after she's done with work, I

ask the same question. How was work? How was

soccer? How was dance? And I think the question

we're asking is wrong and I want the shift in

perspective to be made. So the question I'm asking

now is, how was worship at soccer? How was worship

at dance? How was worship at work today? How

was worship when you were hanging out with your

friends? How was worship when you were in that

meeting? How was worship? Because if you were

created to be a worshiper, and God has restored

your original design as a worshiper, then everything

in your life is an opportunity to worship. And

you need to start asking the question of yourself

of how was worship in wherever I was? Because

every single place you find yourself is an opportunity

to worship. So how do you do that? I think you

do that two ways. You do it internally and externally.

Internally with your thoughts. You can worship

God with your thoughts with the way that you

think about other people. The thought that you

have about other people that they'll never know

about, God knows about. Are you worshiping God

with your thoughts and what you're thinking about

others? Are you worshiping God with your thoughts

and how you react to the situation that's in

front of you? Oh, the situation's frustrating.

Are you worshiping God with how you react? Because

this just stays in here and internally and wherever

you are at, you can worship God with your thoughts.

It's inviting the Holy Spirit in. Internally

saying, Holy Spirit, I invite you into whatever

I'm doing. I want you to guide me. I wanna follow

your guidance. I wanna live in what you've called

me to do. I want you to be the one leading, not

me. And internally, you're able to worship God

wherever you find yourself. Internally, you're

able to worship God by praying. We just said,

no one has to know. It's just you and God. You

can continually be praying. Some of you guys

are so stressed out about how you're gonna make

it through your day instead of just praying through

your day. If there's a constant conversation

where you just pray to God, God, help me through

this. How do I walk through this? How do I work

through this? That's worshiping God wherever

you find yourself internally. Worship God externally.

You're worshiping God in how you treat others.

How you treat them, what you say to them. That's

an act of worship, man. How am I treating them

with the words that are coming out of my mouth,

with the actions that I'm giving to them? That's

how I'm treating them. Listen, you can be right.

in what you're saying and completely wrong in

how you say it. You know this if you're married.

You can be right and be very wrong. You know

what I mean? You might be right, but are you

treating others with the respect they deserve

in the way that you say what you say and the

way that you do what you do? Because that is

an act of worship. How you treat others is an

act of worship. It's not just what you do. It's

what you choose not to do. Paul says, be in the

world, but not of the world. You will find yourself

in places and spaces that you cannot avoid. You

will be there and maybe things that are happening

there are not bringing glory to God. And by abstaining

from those and saying, no, I am not going to

participate in that. I'm not going to do that.

I'm not going to say that. I'm not going to do

those things that are going to hurt my worship.

What you're doing is you're worshiping God by

not doing something. Your actions externally

are saying, I'm gonna stand for worshiping him

because I've been created to worship and wherever

I find myself is an act of worship. It's living

on mission. You are not where you're at in life

by mistake. There are people that God has put

you around that he's saying, if you're gonna

worship me, it's living on mission with me, which

means sharing Jesus and inviting the people around

you. Saying, hey, come to Easter. Easter's a

couple of weeks away. We have a ton of gatherings,

just come. That's an act of worship for wherever

God has put you. Here's the thing about worship

though. Worship starts with surrender. Some of

you guys need to surrender because if you're

holding on to everything, you can't worship God

because it's all about you. If you're unwilling

to give God the little pieces of your life, yes,

God, I'm holding on to just my finances. God,

I'm just holding on to, like, I'll worship you,

but not when I'm hanging out with my friends.

You know, that's my bro time. Like, I can't do

that. It's surrendering and saying, God, this

is yours. I'm giving you this in my life. I'm

giving you this in my life. God, I'm giving you

everything in my life and I'm going to surrender

to you so that I can worship you. And for some

of you, you've never surrendered to Jesus in

the first place. You've never said, Jesus, I

believe that you died in my place, that you bought

me with a price and I surrender to you. Here

it is, God, surrendering my life. For some of

you, you need to do that today. Others of you,

you need to continue to surrender to be able

to worship. Because here's what I know. You were

created to worship. That's why you're here. And

that's good news because worship lasts. It doesn't

fade. Worship truly lasts. It matters. Our life

is worship. But we need to shift our perspective

to start seeing everything in our life. and asking

ourself the question of how was worship wherever

we find ourselves. Let's pray. God, thank you

that you allow us to worship you. God, thank

you. that the old is gone, the new has come.

I pray, Lord, that you help us to shift our perspective,

to see through our new identity as worshipers,

that every space and place we find ourself, God,

will be an opportunity to worship and that we

can answer the question of how was worship wherever

we find ourself. God, I pray for those in here

that need to surrender their life to you. that

today would be an opportunity to surrender their

life to you. God, I pray for those in here that

need to surrender so that they can give you the

worship that you deserve. They would not hold

on to aspects of their life that do not matter,

that will not last, but they realize they're

just camping and therefore, God, everything they

have is a tool to worship you. God, we give you

our life. We love you, Jesus. We praise you.
