  1. How are we? I said it last week. Y 'all sound

  2. like a car trying to start. Welcome. Glad you

  3. are here. Those of you on our online locations,

  4. whether that's Paulding, Baghdad, welcome to

  5. you this morning. Also our online family. We're

  6. just so excited we get to do this together. We

  7. get to worship a God who is worthy. And just

  8. if you're new to this space, welcome to you.

  9. There's something that is happening globally

  10. that we all get to celebrate together. You ever

  11. noticed in the last maybe few days that it feels

  12. like the entire world has been preparing for

  13. something and has moved to the United States?

  14. There's just something of a takeover happening.

  15. And I don't know if you're aware of this. I mean,

  16. it's on a global scale. It's the largest thing

  17. that's happened in this realm in quite a while.

  18. In fact, ever. There's never been this many countries

  19. represented in the global happenings in the United

  20. States today. And I don't know if you know or

  21. not, but there was a moment on Friday night that

  22. as an American, Like you should be celebrating

  23. because I don't remember in my lifetime it ever

  24. happening the way it happened before. Your men's

  25. national team won 4 -1 against Paraguay. Okay,

  26. just out of ignorance, how many of you actually

  27. knew that happened? Okay. The rest of you, you

  28. need to get phones. Like the rest of the world

  29. is plugged into this. If for nothing else, to

  30. watch the Norwegians coming to America to try

  31. In -N -Out. That's worth it right there. But

  32. seriously, the World Cup is happening, people.

  33. How many of you knew the Knicks won last night?

  34. So disappointing. I'm not disappointed for you.

  35. 53 years. That's a long time. That's a long time.

  36. Congratulations. Congratulations. But yeah, so

  37. the World Cup's happening, right? And here's

  38. what's interesting. For those of you that don't

  39. know, it's the largest World Cup, 48 teams, and

  40. the rest of the world have been preparing for

  41. this for two years, right? Like they've been

  42. playing to have the right to show up and even

  43. compete. Then they show up, and it's being held

  44. in the U .S., Mexico, and Canada. And part of

  45. what's happening is they will compete, compete,

  46. compete, work down to knockout rounds, and they'll

  47. work their way through by, I think it's like

  48. July 19th, somewhere around there, they'll be

  49. hitting the final of this thing. And every country

  50. that is represented are trying their best, trying

  51. their best to prove they have the ability, right?

  52. They're proving that they are good enough to

  53. have the right to be called champion of the world.

  54. OK, and this is a sport that's played all over

  55. the world. So when sorry, Knicks fans, when you

  56. say that you're the champions of the world, there's

  57. not a whole lot of places that take it as serious

  58. as you do. Comes to soccer. Everybody takes it

  59. serious, which is why if you watch Friday night,

  60. if you watch Friday night, the celebrations of

  61. the Americans were off the charts. You'd think

  62. they'd won the whole thing. I'm just here to

  63. tell you it was one game. Just slow down a little.

  64. You got a little ways to go. If you're wondering

  65. how England's doing and you're like, why are

  66. you talking about England? I'm from England.

  67. If you're worrying about how England's doing,

  68. don't worry. They have a perfect record. They

  69. haven't played yet. It's great. But seriously,

  70. welcome. Some of you are like, how did we just

  71. go from the throne room and who else to soccer?

  72. Because that is life, isn't it? Isn't life that

  73. you're in the mountaintop together and the next

  74. moment you're laughing together or maybe not

  75. laughing, you're just confused, whatever your

  76. state of mind is. But isn't it interesting that,

  77. We have these tensions of mountaintops and we

  78. have the moments of laughter and they exist inside

  79. the same space. That's what it means to be human,

  80. is that God can be honored even in your joy,

  81. even in your laughter. And so if you're new,

  82. welcome. If you're new online, welcome. That's

  83. what we are. I'll tell you right now, if you're

  84. looking for something here, what you're going

  85. to find is this. We are all the same. We're a

  86. bunch of people that stumbled into this person

  87. named Jesus who has changed everything. And that's

  88. it. That's all we got. That's all we got. So

  89. if you're looking for something else, you're

  90. going to be greatly disappointed because Jesus

  91. is all we got. And that's the collection we're

  92. in for the summer. Collections are just talks

  93. that we put together into the same theme. And

  94. our theme this summer is this. It is all about

  95. Jesus. That's it. We're not hiding it. We're

  96. not trying to do anything fancy. In fact, so

  97. much so that we have entitled the whole thing

  98. just as simple as it is who you are. And the

  99. hope is this, that as we go through the summer,

  100. you get to reach a point that you go, oh, that's

  101. who you are. I should have known that. Or I knew

  102. that about you and it encourages your faith and

  103. bolsters your faith. But the hope is this, that

  104. at some point you just go, man, that's who you

  105. are. If you were here last week, we talked very

  106. specific about. The fact that Jesus is a fighter,

  107. that Jesus went toe to toe with the enemy, that

  108. Jesus fought for what God gave him, his identity,

  109. right? That he's a son who he loves and he's

  110. well pleased. We talked about that last week.

  111. This week, Jesus is the cosmic warrior. Jesus

  112. is the cosmic warrior. If you remember nothing

  113. else, if you get nothing else from this, you

  114. need to remember that Jesus is the cosmic warrior.

  115. I don't know what comes to mind when you hear

  116. the term warrior. For me, it's a half -painted

  117. blue face. It's long hair and a guy on a horse

  118. giving the speech of a lifetime, right? And those

  119. of you that don't know what I'm talking about,

  120. I'm talking about Braveheart. Anybody know Braveheart?

  121. I have to ask because I asked my 24 -year -old

  122. and she was like, I'd never seen that movie,

  123. right? So if you haven't, let me catch you up

  124. real quick. Braveheart is set around the life

  125. of William Wallace. William Wallace was Scottish

  126. and the English. had murdered his father and

  127. his wife. And so what happens is he just, he

  128. has a little rage, right? Like he's a little

  129. angry. And so out of his anger, he decides he's

  130. going to fight back. He wins these small skirmishes,

  131. gets the attention of the English and the English

  132. go, hey, we're going to show up and we're going

  133. to wipe you out. And so the English show up with

  134. their army, the Scots show up with their army

  135. and the Scots are well outmatched, right? Like

  136. when it comes to weapons, when it comes to people,

  137. it is obvious that they should not be on this

  138. battlefield with the English at this time. And

  139. then William Wallace shows up and he's riding

  140. on a horse and they're about to walk away. And

  141. William Wallace comes in. He's got his war paint

  142. on. And in that moment, he rallies the troops.

  143. And he gets to a point where he says this to

  144. them. They may take our lives, but they will

  145. never take our freedom. He was American before

  146. America knew what it was, right? And what he's

  147. saying is this, that you may have the ability

  148. to take my life, but you'll never take my rights.

  149. You'll never take the authority that I choose.

  150. You won't step into this moment. And it's interesting,

  151. there's this cosmic battle that's been happening

  152. around this idea of what does it mean to have

  153. a warrior that is fighting? And so the cosmic

  154. battle, This is a star for those of you that

  155. are wondering. And we'll do this. There's a planet.

  156. Let's do something like this. That represents

  157. a cloud, in case you're curious, which represents

  158. the heavens. And for lack of a better drawing

  159. or representation, this is an angel. And this

  160. represents the enemy of God. And there is, there

  161. is, A cosmic battle. See, the backdrop to the

  162. story that you exist inside of, that I exist

  163. inside of, is not one of peace. That what we

  164. discover within the story of God is we discover

  165. that there has been a cosmic battle that has

  166. already been taking place. That the enemy of

  167. God, has decided that he is going to ascend to

  168. the throne of God. And in ascending to the throne

  169. of God, he is going to gain the right to be the

  170. supreme being. And you thought Marvel just came

  171. up with this, right? And so what happens is the

  172. enemy of God, who might not look like you think

  173. he does, like the Bible talks about how beautiful

  174. the enemy of God is because he was created perfect

  175. by God. And here's what happens. The enemy of

  176. God rallies together others, created beings,

  177. to ascend to, to become the supreme being. The

  178. only problem is the enemy of God is lacking power.

  179. The enemy of God does not have the ability. And

  180. so there's two words today that we're going to

  181. kind of unpack. One is the authority and the

  182. other is. And what happens is God shows that

  183. he has the right as creator to essentially stop

  184. the rebellion. In fact, not only does he stop

  185. the rebellion, but he kicks out of the cosmic

  186. realm. And when we say cosmic, this is like our

  187. universe and beyond. This is like the known everything

  188. that God is inside of. And so this battle is

  189. playing out in that sense. And as the battle

  190. plays out and they ascend to take, they discover

  191. we don't have the power to do what we want to

  192. do. We don't have the ability to take the authority

  193. that we think we deserve. And God crushes the

  194. enemy. You just need to know this, that God,

  195. God will always win against the enemy. That's

  196. significant to your life. The enemy will never,

  197. ever, ever be able to do something against you

  198. that God is not in control of. Because God has

  199. the authority and he has the power. Now, what's

  200. fascinating is in Luke 4, where we were last

  201. week and where we'll continue on through. But

  202. in Luke 4. The enemy shows up and he tries to

  203. get Jesus off kilter. We talked about that last

  204. week, right? Like take away your identity and

  205. get you to believe something that's not true.

  206. Jesus stands on truth. And then the very next

  207. thing coming out of that, we hear this. Verse

  208. 14, Luke 4, verse 14. Jesus returned to Galilee

    Luke 4:14

  209. in the power. Jesus returned to Galilee in the

  210. power of the Spirit. And the news spread about

  211. him through the whole countryside. teaching in

  212. their synagogues, and everyone praised him. Okay,

  213. super important that Jesus and everything that

  214. Jesus is going to do, we are told this is where

  215. his power came from. That his power was in the

  216. Spirit of God. We know from last week that the

  217. Spirit of God descended on him in his baptism.

  218. The Holy Spirit descended on him like a dove.

  219. Right? We see him. He's led into the wilderness

  220. by the Spirit. Now at this moment, what we're

  221. told is the power that he has to do what he does.

  222. You could put it this way with power. It's the

  223. ability to do something. The ability to do something.

  224. Where does it come from? The Holy Spirit. Okay,

  225. this is why this is so important. When you met

  226. Jesus and the Holy Spirit came in and dwelled

  227. you, you have the same spirit that Jesus has,

  228. which says what? That you have the same. power

  229. that has been put into you. So much so that the

  230. same word used here for power, if you go to Acts

  231. chapter one, verse eight, Jesus is about to ascend

  232. and he's talking to his disciples and he says,

  233. power, stay in Jerusalem. Why? Because power

  234. is coming in the form of the Holy Spirit. That

  235. word power is the same word of power that's used

  236. here. What is God getting at? That God has put

  237. into you the very spirit that was in Jesus. It

  238. exists in you as a follower of Jesus today. If

  239. you're not a follower of Jesus, then the Holy

  240. Spirit doesn't indwell you. Right? But as a follower

  241. of Jesus, it's really important that we understand

  242. the power that we've been given. So he carries

  243. on. He goes to his hometown. And when he gets

  244. to his hometown, he's going to read a scroll

  245. in verse 18 in the synagogue. The Spirit of the

  246. Lord is on me, he says. This is Jesus speaking,

  247. because he has anointed me. to proclaim good

  248. news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim

  249. freedom for the prisoners and recover your sight

  250. for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to

  251. proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. What is

  252. Jesus doing? He's saying this is where the power

  253. has come from. Now he's telling you that he has

  254. been given authority, which another way to, another

  255. word for this is he has been given the right

  256. He's been given the right to proclaim what? Freedom.

  257. He's been given the right. He's been given the

  258. authority while on earth. The God man has been

  259. given the authority to take those that are oppressed

  260. and set them free. This is what the cosmic warrior

  261. Jesus has been given. He has been given the right

  262. and the ability. He's been given the authority

  263. and the power. which then plays out this story

  264. that we were just reading. They get really mad

  265. at him. He's in his hometown and they basically

  266. look at him and go, wait a minute, you say you

  267. have the authority and the power, aren't you

  268. Joseph's kid? And so essentially they want to

  269. harm him and he ends up walking out. And then

  270. it says this in 31, then he went down to Capernaum,

  271. a town in Galilee on the Sabbath. He taught the

  272. people. They were amazed at his teaching because

  273. his words had They're amazed at his teaching.

  274. You know what that word amazed is? They are losing

  275. their mental capacities, their mental functions.

  276. They are losing their minds. This is so amazing

  277. to them that someone would show up in human form

  278. and have the authority, have the right that he

  279. has. Remember, it's a cosmic battle. Look what

  280. happens next. Verse 33, in the synagogue, there

  281. was a man possessed by a demon, an impure spirit.

  282. He cried out at the top of his voice, go away.

  283. What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth?

  284. Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are,

  285. the Holy One of God. It's interesting because

  286. what's happening here. We do teaching prep on

  287. a Tuesday. We all get in the room. This week,

  288. Pastor Noah is teaching in Prescott Valley. And

  289. during his kind of walkthrough of where he was

  290. heading, he said something that I'd never heard.

  291. He said that culturally, when you use the name

  292. of a deity, you are assuming power from that

  293. deity. So the demon here is trying to take power

  294. by claiming that he knows who Jesus is. He's

  295. trying to assume authority over Jesus. Well,

  296. wait, wait. What was the cosmic battle happening

  297. before we ever got where? To planet Earth. So

  298. what's happened is the same battle that's happening

  299. in the backstory is actually happening now on

  300. planet Earth. The battle has moved. What we find

  301. is not only is it moved, but the battle... is

  302. actually inside the people of God. It says here

  303. that the demon -possessed man is in the synagogue.

  304. The synagogue at that time is where the people

  305. of God gathered. It would be like a church service.

  306. And in the church service, there is a demon -possessed

  307. man who is a part of the what? The gathering.

  308. So the enemy is not only, not only is the enemy

  309. moved it to planet Earth, But it's now an inside

  310. job. It's now in the people of God. This is so

  311. important, you guys. Because what it tells me

  312. is that the enemy of God, who has a battle going

  313. on with God, and has for all of human history,

  314. That what we know to be true of that battle is

  315. it's happening right here in this room right

  316. now. That the enemy of God isn't satisfied just

  317. to be on the outside, if you like. But the enemy

  318. of God wants to be not only in your church, but

  319. he wants to be in your home and he wants to be

  320. in your life. You know he's not satisfied. Even

  321. though the battle is moved, he's not satisfied

  322. with where it's at. And you would be foolish

  323. and I would be foolish to think that the enemy

  324. is not coming for me and for you. Listen to what

  325. he says in response, verse 35. So these are the

  326. words of Jesus. Be quiet, Jesus said sternly.

  327. I love that it says that Jesus said sternly because

  328. otherwise we'd be like, be quiet. Like this is

  329. rebukish. This is commander. This is someone

  330. speaking with authority. So he speaks with authority.

  331. He says, be quiet. Jesus says, certainly come

  332. out of him. Now he's telling him what to do,

  333. but he's telling him with the ability to what?

  334. Pull the demon out of the person and carries

  335. on the demon. threw the man down before them

  336. all and came out without injuring him. All the

  337. people were amazed and said to one another, all

  338. the people were amazed, they're losing their

  339. minds, they're losing their faculty. What words

  340. are these with authority and power, with right

  341. and ability? He gives orders to impure spirits

  342. and they come out. And the news about him spread

  343. throughout the surrounding area. You just need

  344. to know this today. Jesus is the cosmic warrior

  345. and he has the authority and he has the power.

  346. He has the authority and he has the power over

  347. demons, over darkness, over evil in this world.

  348. Why does this matter, you guys? Why does this

  349. matter? Because you have the same news feeds

  350. I do. And if we're not careful, we go down dumb

  351. rabbit holes where we think the enemy is winning.

  352. The enemy has already lost. And now the enemy

  353. is trying to what? Bring it to here because this

  354. is all he can grasp at. But what you need to

  355. understand is, is the cosmic warrior Jesus has

  356. already won. And the cosmic warrior Jesus is

  357. proving that he has the authority and the power

  358. over darkness. Darkness does not win in your

  359. life. Darkness does not win in your family. The

  360. person who wins is the cosmic warrior who is

  361. Jesus. It's interesting. I've wrestled with this

  362. for a long time. So I met Jesus when I was three.

  363. I was sitting on a couch with my mama. We'd been

  364. going to church. I even memorized John 3 .16.

  365. And she was talking through John 3 .16 with me.

  366. And best I can remember, She gave me the heaven,

  367. hell, and one's not good and one's amazing. And

  368. this Jesus who, when he talks about believing

  369. in him in eternal life, and as a three -year

  370. -old, I'm like, I know I want to go where's amazing,

  371. not that one. And so I put my faith in Jesus.

  372. And it's interesting because from about that

  373. age to roughly 10, 11 years old, maybe 12, there's

  374. testimonies of people about Jesus working in

  375. my life. There's testimonies of people with this

  376. little kid that would have words that were too

  377. old for the kid. And I hit like that 11, best

  378. I can remember, 11 years old and all through

  379. my teens. It just became really, really dark.

  380. It just became really difficult. I would say

  381. that I got to the point where I hated God. I

  382. wanted nothing to do with God. I pushed him as

  383. hard. away as I could and as far away as I could.

  384. I let things like addiction get in my life, open

  385. doors to other things. And I've wrestled with

  386. a passage like this that talks about demon possession,

  387. right? But we need to clarify something today.

  388. Because you may be here and you know Jesus. I

  389. mean, you've put your faith in Jesus and the

  390. Holy Spirit lives in you. I just need you to

  391. know you cannot be possessed by the enemy. This

  392. is like ground level. You got to get this. Right?

  393. Because here's what scripture says. Greater is

  394. he that is in you than he that is in the world.

  395. God himself. And the Holy Spirit is not going

  396. to share you, his son, his daughter, the one

  397. whom he loves, who he is well pleased. He is

  398. not going to share you with a demon. And you

  399. just need to know this. So the enemy cannot possess

  400. you. What the enemy can do and what I believe

  401. he did to me for a long time is he can oppress

  402. you. I believe that the enemy had me right where

  403. he wanted for a long time. Because he was oppressing

  404. me and I was letting him. And so things like

  405. addiction and not knowing how to get out of it

  406. were a part of what was me. But for the cosmic

  407. warrior, that is Jesus. He makes all the difference.

  408. Because what I started to understand. is that

  409. the enemy does not have authority over me. So

  410. when I use phrases like, well, this is just my

  411. battle. No, it's not. It's his battle. And if

  412. you trust yourself for your battle, you will

  413. always fail. I promise you. You think you are

  414. warrior enough. You are not gangster enough for

  415. sin. Let me tell you. You are not gangster enough

  416. for your own selfish desires. You are not gangster

  417. enough to control your life. And what you are

  418. being convinced into is that this right here,

  419. that you can have authority and you can have

  420. power. As a follower of Jesus, you lay both of

  421. those down to the king of kings. He has authority

  422. and he has power. Verse 38, Jesus left the synagogue.

  423. And went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother

  424. -in -law was suffering from a high fever. And

  425. they asked Jesus to help her. So he bent over

  426. her and rebuked the fever and it left her. He

  427. rebukes. If you are rebuking something, you have

  428. the authority and the ability to change it. And

  429. it left her. She got up at once and began to

  430. wait on them. At sunset, the people brought to

  431. Jesus all who had various kinds of sicknesses

  432. or sickness and laying his hands on each one,

  433. he healed them. Moreover, demons came out of

  434. many people shouting, you are the son of God.

  435. Remember, it's just them trying to get what?

  436. Authority and power over Jesus. But he rebuked

  437. them. Who's in control? The cosmic warrior is

  438. in control. He's the one rebuking the demons.

  439. And would not allow them to speak because he

  440. knew. because they knew he was the Messiah. At

  441. daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place.

  442. The people were looking for him, and when they

  443. came to where he was, they tried to keep him

  444. from leaving. But he said, I must proclaim the

  445. good news of the kingdom of God to the other

  446. towns also, because that is why I was sent. And

  447. he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

  448. You catch what happens, right? Remember, it's

  449. an inside job. It's an inside job. The very next

  450. scene, after casting out evil, after casting

  451. out demons, after winning a cosmic battle in

  452. human moments, is he goes to a house. And the

  453. house is Simon Peter's. Now, that's one of the

  454. disciples of Jesus. That's one of his people.

  455. And when he gets there, the enemy... Has brought

  456. into the home the effects of sin. The effects

  457. of brokenness. The effects of this world. What

  458. do I mean? His mother -in -law is sick. Says

  459. there was a high fever. We don't know how high.

  460. We don't know what was going on. But what it

  461. says is this. That Jesus, the cosmic warrior,

  462. rebukes the sickness. And she is healed. What

  463. that tells me is Jesus, the cosmic warrior, has

  464. authority and power over sickness. Over brokenness.

  465. Over the effects of sin. I mean, where does sickness

  466. come from? We live on a fallen planet. Sin was

  467. never meant to be a part of this. The body breaking

  468. down was never meant to be a part of it. And

  469. what Jesus wants you to know that while we live

  470. in the streets where sickness is part of it,

  471. he has the right and the ability to overcome

  472. any sickness. Sickness doesn't have the last

  473. word. Why? Because he has the right and the ability.

  474. I remember walking into the hospital. It was

  475. a couple of years ago. My dad had had a massive

  476. stroke. And we weren't sure what it meant. We

  477. got in the hospital and he, if I was a betting

  478. man, on the first time I saw him in the hospital,

  479. I'm like, he ain't gonna make it. He couldn't

  480. move, couldn't talk. And I remember being in

  481. that room and I remember I was watching because

  482. if you know anything about strokes, especially

  483. in that first part, it's very, very likely there's

  484. another one coming. And very often that one will

  485. take their life. And so we're in the hospital

  486. room, but I want you to catch something. The

  487. hospital room wasn't without hope. I walked in

  488. with my mom, who's been married to him for, I

  489. don't even remember, 50, 60 years, 60 years.

  490. We were packed full of hope. We didn't go in

  491. there and be somber about, what was happening.

  492. You know why? Because Jesus is the cosmic warrior.

  493. And he has authority over what? Sickness and

  494. brokenness. It doesn't get the last word. I walked

  495. into that room knowing full well my dad knows

  496. Jesus. I walked into that room knowing full well

  497. that the cosmic warrior has the authority and

  498. the power in this moment. And God, whether you

  499. heal him here, which is what we want, Or you

  500. heal him in eternity. Healing is coming because

  501. you are the cosmic warrior. Two weeks ago, I

  502. got to visit my dad in Montana. Where he has

  503. about 85 % back. 75 % somewhere in there back.

  504. Oh, he lost the ability to drive. But I got a

  505. couple more days with my dad. Isn't it interesting

  506. that we get sideways real easy? We get a diagnosis,

  507. we end up at a hospital, and we forget, we forget,

  508. we forget who is the cosmic warrior. What I love

  509. about this is the cosmic battle is actually being

  510. played out. The cosmic battle. So this battle

  511. that is so big and so vast, it's actually being

  512. played out in you right now. It's being played

  513. out in you. There's another story in Mark chapter

  514. two. And Jesus has got such a crowd around him

  515. that people can't get to him. So this guy's friends

  516. rip open the roof and they lower him down because.

  517. He's paralyzed. And Jesus tells him, get up.

  518. Your sins are forgiven. You know what the religious

  519. people do? Hey, time out. Jesus, you mean to

  520. tell me that you have the right to forgive sins?

  521. Only God can forgive sins. You know what Jesus

  522. says after? He says, in your hearts, I know what

  523. you're really questioning is the authority that

  524. I stand here, the power that I stand here. Do

  525. I have the right and the ability to forgive?

  526. See, what I know about you right now is you're

  527. made of the same stuff that everybody else is

  528. made of in this room. And the same battle that

  529. has happened on a cosmic level is happening in

  530. the cosmos. Cosmos means world. In the interior

  531. world of you. Right here, right now, the cosmic

  532. battle is being played in the cosmos of you.

  533. What does that mean? That the enemy would love

  534. for you to live your life like you have both

  535. of these. that you have the right to do whatever

  536. you want, that you have the ability to do whatever

  537. you want. I'm just here to tell you, you are

  538. not the cosmic warrior. Jesus is the cosmic warrior.

  539. So that begs the question, will you allow, will

  540. you allow Jesus the right Two areas of your life.

  541. And by right, I mean authority. Will you allow

  542. him the right and will you allow him to have

  543. the power, the ability to get into the nitty

  544. gritty? What do I mean by that? Will you allow

  545. Jesus into your most meaningful relationships?

  546. I don't mean let him in like, hey, Jesus, you

  547. can tag along. No, no, I mean this. Give him

  548. the right to that relationship. Will you allow

  549. Jesus the right to your marriage? Because you're

  550. sitting with somebody today, whether it's on

  551. a screen or in this room, somebody's sitting

  552. in this room today and you're planning on getting

  553. out of your marriage. But Jesus is for your marriage.

  554. He's the cosmic warrior. And I'm curious, I'm

  555. curious if you'll let Jesus have the right over

  556. your marriage instead of you. And don't mishear

  557. that. There are some situations you should get

  558. out of. And you need counseling and somebody

  559. to walk with you through that. There are some

  560. that we just choose because we don't like it

  561. and we want to take authority for our life. No,

  562. no, no. Your sexuality, will you let him have

  563. the rights to your sexuality? To your sex life.

  564. Will you let him have the rights to your, I called

  565. it a pocketbook earlier. Maybe I should just

  566. say for your tap, you know, for your phone. To

  567. your finances. To your work, what you do with

  568. your hands. What you do with your family. Because

  569. the cosmic battle is actually inside of the cosmos

  570. of you. And what you need to know is the cosmic

  571. warrior, the cosmic warrior, he fights the cosmic

  572. battle, but he also calms the cosmos in you.

  573. He also calms your interior world and puts it

  574. in order. There's a beautiful moment where a

  575. man who, another piece of scripture, a man has

  576. a demon. And Jesus removes the demon and it says

  577. that the man was sitting in his right mind. Because

  578. that is what the cosmic warrior does. So I got

  579. hope for you today. I got hope for you. Because

  580. he has the authority, one word, one word from

  581. him changes everything. One word under God's

  582. authority changes everything. So that thing that

  583. you came in the room that you don't think is

  584. ever going to change one word from him who has

  585. the right and the ability, you can be set free

  586. today. One word from him changes everything because

  587. he has the authority and the power as the cosmic

  588. warrior who is Jesus. Would you pray with me?

  589. God, we're so grateful for you. God, thank you

  590. for loving us. Thank you that in this moment,

  591. God, we sit and you are present. Your spirit

  592. wants to speak. God, would you help us to surrender,

  593. to lay down, to stop holding on. To areas that

  594. we are grabbing for the authority of our lives.

  595. Would we stop letting the enemy. Lead us to places

  596. where we think. We have the authority and the

  597. power. But God we ask you through the power of

  598. your Holy Spirit. To set us free today. Because

  599. one word. One word. One word from you and things

  600. change. So God, thank you for being our cosmic

  601. warrior. Thank you for setting the oppressed

  602. free. Thank you for grace and thank you for mercy.

  603. And everybody said.
