Would you turn to John chapter four? I'm believing

we're gonna get there by faith today. Thank you,

Holy Spirit. Father, we just give you honor.

Jesus, we give you honor. Holy Spirit, we honor

you as well. You are so amazing. So kind. Lord,

we just stand in awe. Really, we do. We stand

in awe of your affection and your draw to us,

how you love us. And you never stop. You keep

pursuing. You keep revealing yourself. You keep

drawing us to take more of you. God, forgive

us. Forgive us for shallow appetites when we

come to your table. Forgive us for, Lord, times

where we've... Taken water that isn't living.

And Lord, we filled our appetites up with other

things. Lord, we hear your heart this morning.

That we would just spend time with you. That

our affection would be on you. I lift you up.

I sit in your presence. Gazing at your presence.

Your holy face. Let me learn to be at peace in

your gaze. Let all the things of this world fade.

That I Lord, let that be our prayer this morning.

Continue to change us. Transform us. Make us

people of the truth and the Spirit. Oh, how we

love you, Word of God. How we love you, Spirit

of God. Thank you, Father, for giving us both.

Thank you, Father, for giving us both. The word

and the spirit. Your rod and your staff. They

comfort us. Thank you. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Amen. Thank you. Well, Amazing. I don't know.

You can be dismissed. You know we just last seven,

eight weeks we've just been experiencing The

kindness and the goodness of God in a miraculous

way. And each time we have met together in this

last seven, eight weeks, we've watched the spirit

of God. The fact is it's actually been since

our fire on the altar meeting that God has just

been pouring out more of his. tangible presence.

Now that doesn't mean that he's increased. He

doesn't increase. He is who he is. He fills everything.

But he's answering some of our prayers in regard

to us encountering him. And we call it, we know

that the presence of the Lord is everywhere,

but we call it when we experience what we experienced

this morning, not only is it the rhema word of

the Lord speaking to us out of his love for us

personally from the scriptures, but it's what

we call the manifest presence. His manifested

presence comes, which means what? It's experiential.

And we don't highlight experience over the truth,

but truth should lay the platform for experience.

That's the whole point. If we are serving a living

God and we're serving the one who says he wants

to come and meet with us and be with us, truth

should laid out, truth known, truth embraced

from the scriptures should create a platform

where we experience more and more and more of

him. Because the prayer, the prayer that the

apostle Paul prayed that was for the whole church

in Ephesians, I pray that you would know, and

experience the height, the depth, the breadth,

the width of the love of God. The love of God

is not mental. It comes to your mind, it comes

to your thoughts, but it is by nature both. a

faith receiving it, a mental understanding of

it, and a what? An experience of touching you

way down deep in your soul and your emotions.

So if you have anybody to tell you that your

relationship with Jesus shouldn't have an experience,

they haven't met him the way the Bible says we're

to meet him. We don't look for the experience

first. We look to encounter the truth. But the

truth now always brings What? The spirit of God,

which is relational. And in relationship, it's

experience, isn't it? Come on. I don't know about

you, but I want to hear, how many want to hear

more of Jesus speak to you? All right. About

60 % of you. That's great. You want to hear him

speak from the scriptures. You want to hear him

speak to your heart. You want to hear him. Begin

to deal with the things that you know you're

taking to him. There's nothing greater than fellowship

with Jesus and who he loves with him. Now, as

we talk about that, let's try to, I'm gonna try

to just move through some of the stuff to remind

us where we've been. We've had Pastor Johnny

Smelser did a great job last week and what a,

What a great thing it is to partner with him

in the church plant with Chiapas. Thank you guys

for your generosity with him and we're grateful

as a church team and an eldership and a church

body to partner with them and we're excited about

that. I need you to know that we're still on

the journey from Passover to Pentecost. And in

that process of this message here, just reminding

us as believers that our understanding, the building

blocks of our faith and the progression of our

discipleship with Jesus Christ is about our partnership

with him. That means that everything that God

has for us, everything that he has for not just

us as this, local church, and all of us that

have been planted by the Lord here. But everything

he has for us as a church and everything he has

for you as the church personally is all found

in the journey of discipleship with Jesus Christ.

It's all found in it. You're not going to find

your fullness living in just what you've already

known. Now that doesn't mean that we're looking

for extra truth because all the truth that we

need is found in the pages of the Holy Scriptures

between Genesis and Revelation. But it means

that you're learning to grow by the Holy Spirit

as he moves you through his truth and talks to

you and you're in a living partnership. That's

the whole point. Discipleship is not... I mean,

I know it's got the word discipline in it, but

discipleship is about the discipline of prayer

and of worship turns into delight of partnership

and fellowship. And so Jesus leads us into his

truth. He's the one who bridges the gap between

giving us, as he did, he gave the disciples understanding

of what the Holy Spirit was speaking in the Old

Covenant to reveal it in a now expression that

is still active and alive. There's nothing in

this scripture that is not alive. It's alive

because it's him. And he's the one that gives

the... understanding to it. We read the scriptures

and we take the truths that have been revealed

to us just like it was as the disciples. They

received what it was and the Holy Spirit then

breathed and gave us the understanding and now

we get that word of God in the New Testament

but he's still speaking to us. No we don't get

extra scripture. That season of the giving of

the scripture is closed. We get now the revelation.

of the depth of what has already been given to

us. And that's the beauty of it. And as we dive

into our understanding of why God would move

us from the revelation of Passover, which we've

connected to the cross, and move us to Pentecost,

which is what? The fullness of the Spirit, the

pouring out of the Holy Spirit on his church.

In understanding that, we get a biblical framework

that must have load -bearing building blocks

about understanding the Holy Spirit and about

the Father's intent on giving us the Holy Spirit

so that we can grow in discipleship and partnership.

So when we get to the book of Acts, and then

we get to chapter 2 of the book of Acts, and

we fully arrive at the day of Pentecost, have

a platform and a place of expectation like the

disciples did having a great sense of wonder

and awe around us of going what is this beautiful

thing that Jesus promised to pour out and to

give us instead of having a mindset that would

be intrepid or somehow hesitant There would already

be just inside of us this desire. We are going

to anticipate the Father's love and what Jesus

promised us. If he promised us something good

and that he was involved in giving it, I'm waiting

with expectation of all that he's going to give

us and begin to have a sense of eagerness and

understanding that it's not just something that's

going to be little. It'll always be something

that will expand inside of me. You see, Jesus

is the master. He's the master of making little

provision feed you a lot. Come on. I mean, I'd

like this to work a little more in my wallet.

Go to Subway and only get the $4 .99 special

and then have sandwiches for a week. That would

be all right, wouldn't it? But that's exactly

what Jesus does. He's the master. Of bringing

you an understanding of something that comes

from heaven. Something that he's going to give

you that's good. That's full of life. And a causing

it that you came with something. But he always

leaves you with more than what you came with.

And he gives you more that will move you even

into your tomorrows. and give you something to

say, if I receive that then, how much more is

it in the fellowship with him that the Holy Spirit

will continue to expand me and grow me? And the

only thing that would stop us from that is a

spirit of fear, a spirit of tradition or religion

that would cause us to question the goodness

of God and the goodness of Jesus in giving that

gift. And so when the day of Pentecost fully

arrived, we need to be able, like they did, to

have a better understanding of why the Holy Spirit

was highlighted in such a way that he was, that

Jesus was constantly, the gospels were filled

with Jesus' reference to the Holy Spirit. Because

the Holy Spirit, he knew, would be on the earth

carrying out the building of the church and the

partnership of each person who is the church

with them until his return. You see, this is

the genius of Jesus. And we talked about that.

Last time we kind of stood on this platform and

I was talking about the journey from Passover

to Pentecost. I reference the fact that Jesus

brought this understanding. He had to shift.

The disciples' understanding and the perspective

of the Father. And he started in Matthew 6, 5

-13. Before he ever taught them how to pray the

Lord's Prayer, he began to tell them what not

to do. And he told them two things that they

had to break out of their mindsets. He told them

not to be like the hypocrites. So he referenced

religion. And he told them not to be like the

heathen. Isn't that the great... The great twicks

that we're in today for the church, don't be

religious and bound to tradition for tradition's

sake and just carry on with what was 100 -year

-old bread. And don't be like the heathen, meaning

what? Well, we know that we're supposed to have

the... put off the outer man and put on the new

man in regard to the new nature of Christ. But

that wasn't what he was dealing with. He said,

when you'd be like the hypocrites, he would,

or the heathen, he was referencing in prayer

and in worship. Meaning what? Don't get your

cultural spiritual values from something that's

not connected to holy and truth. So two things

that you have to do. You have to make sure that

you're not drinking just out of something that's

stagnant for the sake of stagnant sake because

grandma knew it, great grandpa knew it, great

great grandpa knew it. Listen, if it was based

on truth, it's truth. But remember, even in the

Old Testament, they got fresh bread every seven

days. So somebody needs to change the bread.

Somebody's got to put in their heart of saying,

I am, I recognize that even in my, if I'm not

getting daily bread, which you should be, because

that's the lesson that Jesus said, pray, give

us our daily bread. Even if you, even if you're

just a little bit intimidated to get daily bread,

remind yourself the bread should get changed

every seven days. Meaning that there should be

something that God is speaking to you from his

word and from your relationship with him that

should stick with you and feed you during the

week. Come on. And so Jesus was trying to get

the disciples to break off of what? just out

of tradition's sake, and not allow what the heathen

would do. What would they do? They just did it

by the volume of it and the consistency of it

and by the many prayers and phrases that their

gods would hear them. No, I'm going to change

the way you approach me. That's why Jesus came.

changed the way we approach the father. The whole

point of the Lord's prayer was really, we should

probably even just change the heading in our

Bible, was it's the prayer of intimacy with the

father. God was changing the disciples to move

them out of a tradition of how they Stayed distant

from God. And he was moving the heathens perspective.

On how they aroused God. In their answer of prayer.

And moving them into a place. Of communion. And

of relationship. With a good father. And that's

why he goes through this. We're not modeling

hypocrites. Or deadness. We're not modeling.

The heathen's approach of how to pray and live

toward God that comes from idolatry and ignorance.

And that's why when Jesus says, therefore pray,

our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.

Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth.

And then it moves to his name, his kingdom, his

will, and then. Lord, grant, give. Grant us,

give us our daily bread. Notice the first thing

that Jesus wants to focus on is that the Father

is a giver. Give us our daily bread. Forgive

us of our debts. He's a giver and a lover. You

can't forgive somebody something unless you actually

love them. You understand, you can write off

a debt, but you'll still hold a grudge in your

heart that they owed you that. To truly forgive

means what? You actually have to love them more

than the debt that they have. And in the forgiving

of it, you say, I choose them. So what was he

doing? He was bringing the disciples into an

encounter which they wouldn't have had growing

up. They had been trained in the law. They had

been trained under the Torah. They went to synagogue.

They were good Jewish boys. But now Jesus was

bringing them into a fuller understanding of

who the Father was. Why? Because the bridge,

the reconciler, The one who would now reveal

the Father to them as the one who walked in the

garden was now with them. You see, the whole

nature of why Jesus came back, yes, it was to...

To bring his life as a sacrifice for what was

lost in the garden on the sin portion to satisfy

the requirement that innocent blood had to be

shed to cover sin and to reconcile it. And that's

what Jesus was. He was the lamb slain. But more

than that, he was the now representation of the

love of the Father and of relationship from the

very heart of God from the beginning. So Jesus

walking with the disciples, teaching the disciples,

referencing the Holy Spirit, not only, I mean,

this is amazing thought to think, but not only

was he in those three and a half years as he

was. The Holy Spirit anointed him to preach and

to do and all the things that he did as he said,

if you've seen me, you've seen the Father. What

I do, I don't do by myself, but I and the Father

are one. My will, I didn't come to do, but I

come to do the Father's will. All the things

that Jesus expressed, he was revealing that the

whole point of this was that you would have fellowship,

you would be reconciled, and you would actually,

come to God now without what was broken in the

garden through him by faith and you would walk

with one who is a giver and a lover of your soul

because he planned you he purposed you and he

wants to encounter you our whole job here One

of my mandates from the Lord is to remove the

stop gaps that our soul, our mind, tradition

has placed in front of us to stop walking in

fellowship with the Lord. To only go so far.

No, no, no, no, no. We're not gonna make the

same mistake that Israel made. What was that?

been given the whole promised land and refused

to believe God to trust to actually live in the

fullness of it. You know, they never lived. They

never lived in anywhere near the fullness of

the promises of the inheritance that each tribe

was to be given. I'll just say this for fun because

there's some of you out there that need this

said to. The whole chant from the river to the

sea started with God giving that to the Jews.

You read it. This shall be your inheritance from

the river to the sea. I honestly get a kind of

a kick out of it, to be honest with you. When

I hear people in the name of Palestine quoting

from the river to the sea, I start laughing,

going, they're just reinforcing what God promised

to Israel. I don't know if they realize this,

but they are standing there quoting back to God

what he just gave to them, to his people. You

got to be full of... I think the Greek word is

moronic. You have to be absolutely deluded in

your perspective to think that. That his original

phrase, from the river to the sea, was actually

the Lord's promise to Abraham and his descendants.

And yet we've got people rallying, from the river

to the sea, Palestine will be free. Yes, caveat,

if they accept Jesus. Moving on, I'll get some

emails. Pastor Scott at Life Bible Church. So

what was God trying to do with the disciples

here? And you and I, well, to remind us, the

Father is a giver, the Father is a lover. The

Father is a protector. Do not lead us into temptation.

Deliver us from the evil one. Notice, every part

of the prayer is to connect the disciples with

the nature of God back that was in the garden.

That was the whole nature. Is to get them to

break with all. the things that separated them

to put God at a distance and bring Jesus constantly

pulling the pins and the staves that had kept

them to get them to encounter the Father as who

he is. Jesus was introducing them to the Father's

nature and character. Do you understand this?

That the whole point of Jesus was to reintroduce

God into a system that was supposed to be all

about God. I mean, the whole thing in Israel

was what? They knew about God. They loved God.

They declared to know God. They sacrificed to

God. They lived under the feast, under the days,

under the sacrifice. And in the midst of it,

they had lost the whole premise. of why they

even exist. And Jesus' job was to reintroduce

them to the aspect of the Father that they had

not encountered. And he came in the Lord's prayer

to introduce them to a Father that was above

all, his kingdom, his will. But in addition to

the one who is over all things and it's about

him and for him and through him, he introduced

the fact that even all that is true, he desires

for us to come to him and to know him as a giver

of all things good. The father's a giver. He's

a supplier. He's a protector. He's a forgiver.

He's a leader. He's a deliverer. And please know,

right in the middle of defining these categories

of prayer and explaining that the Father is the

source of all we need, both naturally and spiritually,

we see a commissioning and a linking in what

Jesus is doing to kingdom partnership. Why? He

was teaching the disciples, because see, this

was the thing that the old covenant Had to have

as the teacher. getting ready for sons and daughters,

it had to have a, hey, you got to understand

the nature of his righteousness, his character,

his holiness. You have to understand how God

is with sin and his holiness cannot contain it.

And therefore we're going to bring, as Paul said,

this teacher, this special tutor that's going

to come along and teach you the things about

God so that what ultimately he doesn't want you

to live in a classroom setting. He doesn't want

you to live only in a God world that knows about

him. He's bringing you into a place that he can

move you from classroom instruction and understanding

of the nature of God into what? A holy partnership

that requires... God to flow in you and through

you and that the Spirit of God would dwell in

you because you can know the mind of Christ.

God was linking the disciples and that was the

three and a half year journey. The three and

a half year journey was for them to begin to

activate and live and function doing the will

of the Father. His way, His will by His words.

And you know, that hasn't stopped. His way, his

will, by his word and by his spirit is still

the mandate and the commission for you and I.

God's plan and purpose from the very start of

this revelation and salvation is to train us

as stewardship of in natural and spiritual matters

so that we would be what? Mature sons and daughters

operating in the kingdom. And the nature of our

father is what? The father gives heavenly gifts.

There's no way you can get around that. He is

a gift giver. It means that everything that's

good and everything that's from him, which there

is nothing bad in him. He's pure. He's perfect.

He's light. Everything that's from him is good.

It's good. That's why James chapter 1 verse 17

James 1:17

says, every good and perfect gift is from above.

From above. Somebody say from above. From above.

Meaning what? Heaven is wanting to come down

to earth. Just read that verse again in light

of that framework now. Every good and perfect

gift comes down. Do you see the connection? Pray,

your kingdom come, your will be done. Come down.

It's a prayer of Isaiah. Remember this one when

he said, oh, run the heavens and come down. Do

you understand that Isaiah in the prophetic form

was calling. on a spiritual atmosphere where

God would break open the veil and cause there

to be a presence of the Lord that would invade.

That was the cry of the prophets. And what does

Jesus say in the New Testament? He said, listen,

you need to understand something. Your father

who's in heaven, give. It's his will for heavenly

gifts. To come down. He wants you to have. Him.

Him. Every time. Every time. He abandoned you.

Every, no, I'm messing with you. Every time the

father reveals himself, he's giving you a gift.

Every time he speaks to you through the Holy

Spirit and reveals his truth, he's giving you

a gift. He is wanting to what? Confirm his presence

in your life. Speak to you, direction and counsel.

Give you an exchange of more of Christ and less

of you that you would be. made like him. Those

are perfect and good gifts. Why would we ever

want to say, um, no thanks. Just keep your gifts.

Just give me the one gift, the gift of salvation.

You can just keep everything else. Well, that's

not fellowship folks. That's not, that's not

real walking relationship. That's as close to

Old Testament understanding that there is. It's

saying, I want salvation so that I am saved and

go to heaven. But I really like my life the way

it is, except for the fact that I was previously

going to hell. So if we can get that process

taken care of, I kind of like what I do. I like

what I have. Just get me saved and I'll meet

you on the other side. Thank God for his goodness.

The Bible says, every good and perfect gift is

from above coming down from the father of lights

in whom there's no shadow of variation. By his

own will, he brought us forth. by the word of

truth, that we may be a kind of first fruits

of his creature. Do you understand that what

that verse is actually saying, that by his own

will, he brought us forth by the power of his

word when we believed, and he gave us the faith

to believe that word, that we are, I know sometimes

we as, As Americans or Western civilization,

we think it's all about us. But there is a part

of it here that is pretty amazing when the Lord

says, I called you to be a first fruit of my

creatures. Meaning that he's kind of made us

to be a spectacle. That some of the other creatures

in heaven And we could go through different aspects

that the Bible reveals, different seraphim and

cherubim and the living creatures. And I mean,

angels in various orders, archangels. And I mean,

anyway, that we're kind of like, wow, this is

a unique group of people. And out of all the

creatures that God has made in heaven, which

we don't have an exhaustive list, every one of

them delights in doing his will. We're the only

ones that seem to want to put a stop on the goodness

of God. And so they got to be looking at us going,

what a bunch of, oh boy. Our heavenly father's

nature is a gift giver. We were made in his image

and likeness. Think about this in Genesis 1,

26. God said, let us make man in our image after

our likeness. So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God. He created them male and

female. He created them. Listen, after sin in

the garden, does sin change the father? See,

that's... If you think about it subtly, that's

what you've actually potentially believed. Instead,

it changed us. It didn't change him. So we begin

to believe that somehow God changed. I have to

remind us of the verse when we think about these

things. I, the Lord, change us not. So what are

we saying is the father didn't stop being the

father. Just because sin came in did not stop

his nature of being father. That's why Jesus

was so diligent and so ever. As we read in the

gospels, he was always about connecting the will

of the father to what he was doing and the heart

behind it. Why? Because the disciples had bought

that God changed. When there was barriers put

between the presence. And you know the account

when Adam and Eve were ushered out of the garden.

And it was guarded now by the cherubim with the

flaming sword. That moment of exiting the fellowship.

The communion where the Father was the source,

the giver of everything with nothing that you

had in need of relationship. That moment did

what? It skewed humanity. And instead of just

putting it on us, we do what? We put it back

on him. But the fact of the matter is, sin did

not change God. It can't. It's impossible for

sin to corrupt or change God. Why? He's incorruptible.

And therefore our job is to remove the philosophies,

the mindsets, the instruction that subtly has

tried to put in our minds that somehow the father

has not always been the same and somehow he's

changed or evolved into what he wasn't and has

made concessions that he's not that way anymore.

No, no, no. We must go back to original intent

and understand who he really is. The father did

not revoke the original framework or our order

of being made in his image. And this is part

of the role of the Holy Spirit. And this is why

we have to set the platform going all the way

back for you to understand in New Testament understanding

why this is so important. Because being made

in his image means that you would have fellowship

with the one who made you in his likeness. Why?

He's after a creation that knows his heart, his

mind, his will, and his character and partners

with it. And so he's still in the process of

what? Making you in his own image. That's why

Paul's language, the apostle's language is be

transformed. Yes, putting off the old man, putting

on the new, having the mind of Christ. You were

this, but you're not that anymore. Why? To get

you to understand that he's, and embracing the

Holy Spirit to get you to understand he's making

you in his image. The apostle talks about Christ

being formed. In you. Which is the hope of glory.

Why? He wants to spend time with you. He wants

to fellowship with you. He wants to give you

of himself. And the way he does that is through

two things. His word and his spirit. And in those

two things, the word and the spirit is how he

loves you. And in that love of loving you, that's

how the nature of Christ, the character of Christ,

the fruit of the Spirit is formed and comes out

of you. Why? Because you've got the Word and

the Spirit flowing to you and through you. For

His glory. This is why this is such a big deal.

That when we put off... The Holy Spirit and say,

I only want you at this level. We're not being

formed to the degree on the inside that he wants

us to. It doesn't mean that we're not saved.

Please hear me say that. We're saved by grace

through faith, lest any man should boast. But

the forming of you, making you into his image

now through the New Testament is done by word.

and spirit. That's why the diet of reading the

word, knowing the word, loving the word, knowing

the Holy Spirit, knowing God's ways, knowing

God's will, and fellowshipping, those are all

things that does what? Forms you into who God

wanted you to be. That's the beauty of it. Go

ahead and play me some transforming. There's

so many things going through my mind right now.

Let me just, let me try to land this plane. The

Father continues to bring us back through Jesus.

We all know it through the redemption story,

wholeness, redeeming of what God's original purpose

was in Christ. What we've failed to realize is

we've stopped it at the cross and the resurrection.

Instead of understanding, that the work of the

cross of redeeming of sin was finished at Calvary,

but his finishing work in you is still happening.

See, this is where we mix terms. When Jesus said

it is finished, he wasn't talking about his trowel

on the inside of you in the concrete that needed

to be formed. He was talking about, hey, it's

finished. I paid the debt that kept you from

relationship with me, but I'm not finished working

in you. I'm finished now with the work that causes

me that what you were distant, but I have just

begun. And see, that's where we have to understand

the weights here. I'm finished with the sin.

I've paid for it, but I've just begun to do my

finished work. I've just begun to bring the carpenters

and the finished carpenters into your house.

Why? Because even with the gifts of the Holy

Spirit, it says the gift of prophecy is about

encouragement and edification. You know what

some of those words mean? Those words mean building

and beautifying the edifice, which means what?

The Holy Spirit is the finished carpenter. Big

gunboats there are. The Holy Spirit is the finished

carpenter, not to just finish you and say, okay,

you're all done until heaven. No, he keeps expanding

the image of Christ in you, the word of God in

you, bringing in all of the things that you need

of the building blocks as you surrender to. He

now sends the spirit of God to keep expanding

your life. Temple, room for Jesus, beautifying

you. I know you understand this and I'm speaking

in limited terms, but the more you say yes to

the truth and to the Spirit, the bigger Christ

becomes on the inside. If you want to take it

in terms of temple or house, that you're the

temple of the living God, means he's what? He's

expanding the dwelling place inside of you. I

don't want to get to heaven someday and realize

that on the earth, he had a chance to make a

12 -room, three -story complex, and I allowed

him just to put a she -shack. In my heart. I

want. Christ to be formed. On the inside of me.

I want him to expand. He wants you to expand.

Why? The whole point of the garden experience

was what? To fellowship with him. To walk with

him. And then to what? Take what that presence.

And that security and that light and that truth

of relationship. And now take it and expand the

garden. You see, the garden was not developed

as it should be. The garden was meant to be expanded.

That's the Bible. Read it. The garden was meant

to be expanded. And that's what we miss, church.

That's what he's bringing revelation to. We've

always just thought, well, the garden was there

and then we'll have it in heaven. No, no, no,

you don't understand. The garden was the relationship

with God and now partnership to extend it. from

the boundaries that he gave you when he first

started as a deposit to now begin to move with

him in all of the things that he has and bring

it in to a greater footprint for the glory of

God. That is still the mandate. That's why he

calls us to partnership. Can we pray? Lord Jesus,

this morning, we are in need of you just removing

some of the stakes and staves of tradition. Lord,

we know you will never remove your truth. But

Lord, we need to remove some of the ways that

we've thought and processed. And we're asking

for your light to come. You are a giver of grace.

You're a giver of good gifts. You give us truth

and you give us the light of your truth. I'm

asking you to shine on it. Holy Spirit, expand

us. You've given us the guardrails of your scriptures.

God, man shall not live by bread alone, but by

every word that proceeds from your mouth. Lord

Jesus, Give us a hunger for fellowship with you.

Give us a hunger for expansion of Christ on the

inside. Make us, Lord, any place in us that would

say, no, whoa, wait, Lord, let it yield. And

Lord, say in our heart, Jesus, if it's from you,

it's good. And I want you. I want more of you.

Come into my heart, my mind. my motives, my emotion,

my body, my will. Fill me with the love of God.
