  1. Welcome to Transformation Church Podcast, where we represent God to

  2. the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so

  3. glad you're here and wherever you're listening from, we believe

  4. God will transform your life. Do today's message.

  5. I just want to pray and then we'll get into

  6. the Word of God. Is that all right? Holy Spirit,

  7. give us our peace back. Amen.

  8. When you really need something you don't, you don't have

  9. a lot of Father God's.

  10. To get out.

  11. When you're desperate for something that you haven't had in

  12. a long time and you've been missing something, you got

  13. to get straight to the point.

  14. You don't have no time to be trying to be like.

  15. Oh, Father God, the creator of the entire universe, who

  16. birthed the stars from the very utterance of your voice. No,

  17. when you really get into a desperate place with God,

  18. you just start going help. I need you now, Please

  19. help me today. The series, the missing piece was birth

  20. from my own journey to find the peace that God

  21. had given us through his son Ya Shuah. He makes

  22. this plane. This is not something we have to search for.

  23. It is not inconspicuous. He is absolutely blatant with the

  24. way that he wants us.

  25. To have this peace.

  26. The Gospel according to John chapter number fourteen, verse number

  27. twenty seven, and the Tree of Life version of the Bible,

  28. Gesus speaks these words, Shalom, I leave you, should my

  29. shalom I give you get this, but not as the

  30. world gives, which means that the.

  31. World does have a version of peace. Before we think.

  32. That the enemy doesn't have a counterfeit to anything that

  33. God gives. The enemy does have a version of peace,

  34. but it is temporary. What your shoe is saying here

  35. is that I am leaving you a shalom that is eternal.

  36. I am leaving you a shalom that is going to last.

  37. It will not be contingent upon the day or how

  38. you feel how much money is in your bank account. Shaloam,

  39. I leave you my shalom I give to you, but

  40. not as the world gives. Then he says this, do

  41. not let your heart be troubled or afraid.

  42. Now this is what got me.

  43. There's no way that Jesus can make that last statement

  44. if he means to think for us to think that

  45. this peace has something to do with a feeling.

  46. It has nothing to do with chill.

  47. Bumps or Pastor Rowe sung your favorite song, or if

  48. the air conditioning settings are just right, or if you

  49. have enough money in the bank account, or if the

  50. person that you like likes you back, or if you

  51. got the promotion on the job, or if you have

  52. a job at all. He says, let not your heart

  53. be troubled or afraid. What he means then, is that

  54. I'm giving you something and leaving you something that you

  55. are going to need on.

  56. Your worst day.

  57. Out of all the things that your shore could have

  58. left us, he leaves us peace. How Come it's not wisdom.

  59. How Come it's not revelation we need that? How Come

  60. he doesn't leave us a great heaping deposit of resources

  61. out of all the things he could have left us,

  62. He said, here's the thing you're gonna need most when

  63. I leave. You're going to need peace. What's going to

  64. literally make you stand out from all of the other

  65. people that you're living with in your present day is

  66. that you are going to be calm while they are

  67. crashing out. Y'all are going to be going through the

  68. same exact experience, but you're going to be having different

  69. dispositions in the experience. So all of y'all could have

  70. gotten laid off from the job. But while they're panicking,

  71. you have peace. Everybody could have been going through relationship problems,

  72. but while they are crying, you have peace.

  73. The peace of God.

  74. Passes all understanding and guards your heart in your mind.

  75. Now, remember he left.

  76. It for us, and he literally says, I give it

  77. to you.

  78. Then how did we lose it? And I'm talking about

  79. like in the Year of Our Lord twenty twenty six.

  80. Right now, there are so many people who are not

  81. at peace. They have enough peace to get through the day,

  82. but if traffic is too heavy, somehow they lose their peace.

  83. They have enough peace to get through the day.

  84. But if they decide to scroll through their timeline and

  85. seeing a post that bothers them, they lose their peace.

  86. They had a good day at work, as soon as

  87. they walk in the door, they have somehow lost there.

  88. Why is it? How is it it's so easy to lose?

  89. How are we losing our peace?

  90. That quick over stuff that God is looking over the

  91. balcony of heaven and going what is that?

  92. I mean, can we just be honest for a moment.

  93. We live in a very good country.

  94. I mean.

  95. Pastor Amberley just got back from the other side of

  96. the world.

  97. She was in Africa for a month.

  98. There's some people on the continent of Africa going through

  99. things that we have not experienced on our worst day.

  100. I'm not trying to dismiss your experience by showing you

  101. somebody on the other side of the world. I do

  102. just want you to compare for a moment, what we

  103. call a bad day and what we're losing our peace over.

  104. But I don't blame anyone.

  105. In this room, including myself, for the days that peace

  106. is hard to grasp, because.

  107. We are not the original ones that lost it.

  108. Peace wasn't just lost when you lost your job, or

  109. you got the divorce, or you got a bad doctor's notice,

  110. or you found out that you had something foreign in

  111. your body. It wasn't burst out of the disappointment that

  112. you've had with a child, or a situation that's going

  113. on at your job, the wrestlings that you're having, the

  114. inner turmoil, the wrestle that you might be having with

  115. God in this moment, still trying to hold onto your

  116. faith even though you are fighting disbelief on every side.

  117. You didn't just lose it. You're not the first to

  118. have to go search for it. No, this started way

  119. before you.

  120. This started way before me. This goes all the way

  121. back to the book of Genesis. We lost this in

  122. the garden. Therefore, we have to go back to the

  123. garden to figure out why we lost it in the

  124. first place. If you're taking notes on this message, this

  125. first message in this six week series is entitled What's.

  126. Really going on? And I feel churchy today, So just.

  127. Look at your neighbor and just tell them what's really

  128. going on?

  129. What's really going on?

  130. I know there's seven introverts in here, like please God, No,

  131. I don't want to look at my neighbor. I don't

  132. have a neighbor to my left or my rights. I

  133. sat in the back on purpose. Look at your other neighbor.

  134. Look at your other neighbors, say other neighbor, thank you

  135. for brushing your teeth that way when you say Hallelujah.

  136. That does not torture me.

  137. God, bless you. Thank you. Look at your other neighbor,

  138. say other neighbor.

  139. What's really going on?

  140. That's the question we got to answer.

  141. We have to answer the question of what's really going on. Genesis,

  142. chapter number two, verse number twenty five is the crescendo

  143. of God's creation he has spent six days creating the

  144. heavens and the earth. He has separated land from water,

  145. he has separated light from darkness. He has separated air

  146. and space. He has made galaxies and cosmos and terrain

  147. and birds, and I mean, just a show off. God

  148. is an absolute show off. When you look at his creation,

  149. he's just showing off. His creative power was so magnanimous

  150. that the stuff that he created, he just got bored

  151. and it just started looking ridiculous.

  152. Have you seen an octopus? After all them beautiful.

  153. Fish he made, he was just like, just put eight

  154. legs on it and give it some tentacles and let

  155. it be able to squeeze.

  156. Into a water bottle. I don't care. I'm just do

  157. you know.

  158. We're still finding stuff he created and looking at.

  159. It and going what is this?

  160. We still finding variations of frogs and monkeys and cats,

  161. And if you go deep enough into the sea, you

  162. seeing stuff that's never seen light the first time you

  163. put a.

  164. Light on this, looking back at you like what are

  165. you doing down here? And you're like, he.

  166. Made everything, and his crescendo was a man out of dirt.

  167. The crescendo of his creation was to put the pull

  168. man out of dirt and breathe into this man the

  169. breadth of living life, and the man became a living soul.

  170. He named everything that was on the earth at the time,

  171. but he found no suitable help meet for himself. It

  172. was God who said it is not good for this

  173. man to be alone. It was not Adam's decision. It

  174. was not Adam's recognition. It was God's. God was the

  175. one who said it is not good for this man

  176. to be alone. Now there's a lot of people that

  177. think that this is merely a marital statement, but it's

  178. not just a marital statement.

  179. It's a relational statement.

  180. None of us were created to live life alone. I

  181. know you think you're a loner. I know you want

  182. to be left alone. I know you think you need

  183. to be left alone. But here's what happens to people

  184. who are left alone. They go crazy. Do you know,

  185. even in the prison system, where you're already locked down

  186. for the rest of your life or for how many

  187. years you have to serve, even if you're on lockdown

  188. twenty three hours a day, they let you out for

  189. an hour. But even in the prison system, if you

  190. decide to do the worst thing of the worst already

  191. in the prison system. They have another punishment for you,

  192. and it's called solitary confinement, and they put you in

  193. solitary confinement as the ultimate punishment because they know what happens.

  194. When you're alone.

  195. At first, it seems tranquil, speaking as an introvert, I

  196. love to be left alone.

  197. I love quiet time. I love to be by myself.

  198. But after a while, I need other people. Now you

  199. might be thinking, yes, Tim, you need your wife, and

  200. you need your kids. I need huber eats. You're thinking

  201. two d this is very shallow.

  202. I need other people.

  203. Because I'm not leaving my house, so I need some

  204. other people to help me stay in my house.

  205. So please bring this burrito to my house. Please please

  206. bring the nachos.

  207. To my house.

  208. It is not good for man to be alone.

  209. She puts the man to sleep. Scripture says that he

  210. removes a rib. Most Messianic Jewish believers say that he

  211. was torn in half, and from what remained he formed

  212. the woman. And he presented the woman to the man,

  213. and the man looked at the woman and said, finally,

  214. that's what happens when a man finds the woman that

  215. he wants to be with for the rest of his Finally, girl,

  216. where you been been out here naming horses.

  217. And donkeys and.

  218. Birds, roaches, mice?

  219. Where was you?

  220. Finally, this is bone of my bone, This is flesh

  221. of my flesh. This is me outside of me, looking

  222. back at me, talking to me about me.

  223. This is me. Genesis two twenty five says, Now.

  224. Both of them were naked, the man and his wife,

  225. and they were not.

  226. A shame.

  227. Let me tell you what peace looked like in the garden.

  228. Peace looked like absolute wholeness. Peace looked like the absence

  229. of shame. Peace looked like absolute content. We're not just

  230. talking about how you feel on the inside. We're talking

  231. about your entire environment being at peace. There was no

  232. threat coming to you.

  233. They were naked and they were not shamed.

  234. I love how TV introduces Genesis chapter number three and

  235. verse number one. But the serpent was shrewder than any

  236. animal of the field that out of night lo he made.

  237. So it said to the woman, Did God really say

  238. you must not eat from all the trees of the garden?

  239. Did he not really say?

  240. The woman said to the serpent, of the fruit of

  241. the trees, we may eat but of the fruits of

  242. the tree which is in the middle of the garden.

  243. God said, you must not eat of it, and you

  244. must not touch it, or you will die. The serpent

  245. says to the woman, you most assurely won't die, for

  246. God knows that when you eat of it the eyes

  247. your eyes will be open, and you will be like God,

  248. knowing good and evil. A woman saw that the tree

  249. was good for food, and that it was a thing

  250. of lust for the eyes, and that the tree was

  251. desirable for imparting wisdom. So she took of his fruit,

  252. and she ate. She also gave to her husband, who

  253. was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of

  254. both of them were open, and they knew that they

  255. were naked. So they sewed fig leaves together and made

  256. for themselves loin coverings. And they said, and they heard

  257. the sound of adenai Eloheim going to and fro in

  258. the garden in the wind of the day. So the

  259. man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of

  260. adenai Eloheim in the midst of the tree of the garden.

  261. Then adonai Eloheim called to the man and said to him,

  262. where are you. Then he said, your sound, I heard

  263. it in the garden, and I was afraid because I

  264. am naked. I hid myself And he said, who told you.

  265. That you were naked?

  266. Have you eaten from the tree from which I commanded

  267. you not to eat? Then the man said, the woman

  268. whom you gave to be with me, she gave me

  269. of the tree, and I ate at Anielaheim said to

  270. the woman, what did you do? The woman said the

  271. serpent to save me, and I ate. I want you

  272. to imagine for a moment that you have been experiencing

  273. the incredible peace of God in such a way that

  274. you can be completely naked.

  275. And not even know you naked. This is the same

  276. This is the same posture that babies have.

  277. Because babies are born in innocence, They are born without shame.

  278. They have no idea what is right and wrong.

  279. It's the closest thing to Eden that you can get

  280. is when you birth the baby, and the first six, seven, eight,

  281. nine months, the first year, two years, they are living

  282. in what Eden was always supposed to be.

  283. You can't get a baby to have shame.

  284. If you paid them, babies would just walk out in

  285. front of your company.

  286. Len Mama, Mama, I ma'ma hungry boy.

  287. Put some clothes on.

  288. They don't know, and it's equal between the little boys

  289. and the little girls. The little girls come out my back,

  290. my back.

  291. Why they have no shame.

  292. Now, imagine if you had that type of unashamnness as

  293. an adult.

  294. In the presence of God, there was no shame.

  295. They can look at each other's nekedness and behold the

  296. beauty of it without even thinking. They had no foreign

  297. thoughts in their mind. They were at complete peace. And

  298. Satan hates peace.

  299. Satan hates peace so much that he started to observe

  300. where Eve was going. He started to observe Eve's behavior.

  301. He noticed something before he said something. This is what

  302. the enemy does with all of us. He starts to

  303. study our behavioral patterns.

  304. Ooh, they going over near that.

  305. Tree a lot.

  306. I wonder why they liked that tree so much. I

  307. wonder what I get. Ooh, that's the tree that he

  308. told him not to touch.

  309. She over there a lot.

  310. She's not touching it, she's not eating of it, but

  311. she sure is close.

  312. What is it about us that, even when we have

  313. all the peace, and even when God has blessed us

  314. with so much, we want the thing he told us?

  315. We can't have anybody beside me, can admit that.

  316. That God has blessed me with a lot, and still

  317. there's something on the inside of me that wants to

  318. go near the thing that he told me I.

  319. Should not touch anybody beside me.

  320. Ever, being in that season of life where you got everything,

  321. if somebody would have ask.

  322. You, man, why are you over here by that tree?

  323. Don't you have enough?

  324. And you like, yeah, I do, then mang goals is hidden.

  325. I like the mangoals, and I like I like the apples,

  326. and and and and the pairs.

  327. They're nice. I love me a plum. But this one movie.

  328. Eve never said anything out of her mouth to confirm

  329. the desire, but her body.

  330. Was telling on her. Her location was telling on her.

  331. Even though she wasn't saying she wanted it, her body

  332. was showing by proximity. There's something about this that I'm

  333. so intrigued by that even though I have all these

  334. other options, I've disregarded them because I.

  335. Want that one.

  336. So the enemy scripture says, who is the shrewdest of

  337. all the creatures that God had made?

  338. Comes out of nowhere? And here's the thing.

  339. If you go back to Genesis three to one. Here's

  340. the thing that I don't like about Satan at all.

  341. He's I know that he's a liar, he's the father

  342. of lies.

  343. I know he's a deceiver. He says, discord among the brethren.

  344. I know all of that. But I'm gonna tell you

  345. what else I don't like about this fool.

  346. He is rude, completely impolite, who starts off a conversation

  347. like this.

  348. But the serpent was.

  349. Shrewder than any animal of the field that Ada nih

  350. Eloheem made. So he said to the woman, this is

  351. your first interaction with this woman. It is not Hello,

  352. how are you good to meet you?

  353. My name is? It is did God really say?

  354. We've never talked before, We've never had a prior discussion.

  355. I want you to imagine if you were in our

  356. seven trying to choose between sour dough or like multi grain.

  357. My brother said he hates like Ezekiel bread because he said,

  358. why is there so much cereal on top of that bread?

  359. When I tell you I was weak when he said

  360. that I don't like that bread it got a bunch

  361. of cereal on top of it, I said, boy.

  362. If you shut up, I want you if you imagine

  363. if you if you you were by yourself, ain't nobody

  364. around you?

  365. And you're trying to decide between sour though or or

  366. or Ezekiel bread and and and and somebody just walks

  367. up behind you and says, did God say you cannot

  368. have any bread?

  369. First of all, who are you?

  370. Who are you talking to?

  371. He gets them the question did God really say you

  372. must not eat.

  373. From all the trees of the garden? He asked a

  374. question to raise a doubt.

  375. See, ladies and gentlemen, I believe that we start losing

  376. our peace when we start questioning stuff that God has

  377. already told us that.

  378. We should not eat. We start losing our peace when

  379. we want.

  380. To party make of things that God has already set

  381. a boundary around, because He knows better than us what

  382. we need and what we don't. Do you not know?

  383. I gotta I'm so glad I got six weeks because

  384. I ain't gotta like rush and be done.

  385. Oh, ladies and gentlemen, do you not know that you

  386. were never supposed to learn by experience?

  387. I know we've all heard that experience is the best teacher,

  388. But I need you to know from the beginning we

  389. were never supposed to learn from experience.

  390. We were always supposed to learn by faith.

  391. We were never supposed to touch the stove to know

  392. that it was hot. We were supposed to believe the

  393. one that knew the stove was hot, and never.

  394. Touch the stove trying to help somebody.

  395. We were always supposed to learn by faith the stove

  396. is hot.

  397. Well, how do you know if you never touched it?

  398. Because my daddy told me so. Well, Uh, that fruit

  399. is delicious, you should eat it. Well, I can't eat it. Well,

  400. why don't you eat it?

  401. Because my daddy told me that I would lose something

  402. if I ate that fruit.

  403. Well, how do you know if you've never ate it?

  404. Because I believe what he told me. We were never

  405. supposed to learn from experience. We were supposed to learn

  406. by faith.

  407. Faith is the substance of things, hope for the evidence

  408. of things not seen. We should walk by faith and

  409. not by The woman said to the serpent, of the

  410. fruit of the trees, we may eat, yes, But the

  411. fruit of the tree, which is in the middle of

  412. the garden, God said, get this.

  413. You must not eat of it, and you must not

  414. touch it, or you will die.

  415. This is how Satan knew that Eve was ripe for

  416. disobedience because she added something to God's word.

  417. At a night.

  418. Elohem said, the day that you eat thereof you will

  419. surely die. When Eve repeats to the serpent, what add

  420. a night? Eloheim says she added something to it. He said,

  421. we should not eat it, and we shouldn't even touch it.

  422. The enemy's waiting to know if you know God's word

  423. or not.

  424. He wants to know if you add something to it

  425. or take something away from it. Because in the moment

  426. that he knows, oh I got them to add something

  427. to it, or I got something to take away from it,

  428. he knows that you can compromise because you don't know what.

  429. He actually said. You're starting to add stuff to it.

  430. She was never gonna die if she walked past it

  431. and picked it up and threw.

  432. It in the bushes.

  433. She was only gonna die if she took part of

  434. it and ate it. But the moment she added something

  435. to God's word, he knew, Oh I got her. She

  436. thinks she knows her book. This is why we need

  437. a generation that's biblically literate. This is why before you

  438. get anything, you need to get the word of God.

  439. And this is why I read you the word of God,

  440. because only the word of God is what you have

  441. to stand on on the nights that you need to

  442. know if He is real or not. You don't need

  443. a motivational speech. You don't need no inspirational word. You

  444. need to stand on God's word because God's.

  445. Word is the only thing that will not fail.

  446. But if you only.

  447. Heard the word, but you didn't read the word, that's

  448. when you start messing up the word.

  449. He never said you don't have to touch it, He said,

  450. don't need it.

  451. Because she didn't know her word, he started to mess

  452. with the words. Hear me, because she didn't know the word,

  453. he started to mess with the words.

  454. Here's what he said.

  455. The serpent said to the woman, you most assuredly won't die.

  456. And this is what makes him a deceiver in this moment,

  457. and not a liar. There was a difference between deception

  458. and a lie. A lie is absence of truth. Deception

  459. has a little shred of truth in it. She was

  460. absolutely right. The serpent was absolutely right, you won't assuredly die.

  461. What she was thinking was I was just gonna drop dead.

  462. What she didn't understand is that she was gonna start dying.

  463. Who has a cell phone in this room? Pull it

  464. out real quick, pull it out, pull it out, pull

  465. it on, Put your cell phone out, put it up

  466. in the air. I don't care if you Android the Apple.

  467. I don't care. Nobody's gonna get rebuked for investing in

  468. a green robot. I don't care. I don't care.

  469. Okay, right now you hold it up with confidence. Huh,

  470. your phone is dying right now. Your phone is dying

  471. right now.

  472. Now.

  473. Some of you all are like, I'm not nine or

  474. nine percent. Bless God, phone ain't dying. I can watch

  475. a hale all day. Why did I say that like that?

  476. I felt it. That's what it was. I've been I

  477. can watch a whole movie right now. I got nine

  478. to nine percent.

  479. I can listen to my whole playlist thrice.

  480. But there's somebody else in here that's.

  481. That that that that has fifteen percent, And you like,

  482. I'm conserving my battery. I'm only taking important phone calls.

  483. I'm not.

  484. I won't even text message you right now. I got

  485. an older model. It'll dream my battery if I text

  486. back to you that I'm only at fifteen percent. My

  487. chargers in the car. I need some time. Some of

  488. y'all are real confident because you got a whole battery

  489. pack connected to your phone. You like I got plenty

  490. of charge. It's still dying, and it's dying because it's

  491. not connected to the source. The moment you disconnected from

  492. the source, it starts dying. So the enemy deceived her

  493. into thinking that she would not surely die. Yes, he

  494. was writing that she wouldn't drop dead, but she did

  495. start dying because her disconnection.

  496. Was her disobedience. He says to herd for God.

  497. Knows that when you eat of it, your eyes will

  498. be open and you will be like God, knowing good

  499. and evil. Here's where the enemy made them lose their peace.

  500. He made them lose their peace by convincing them that

  501. God was.

  502. Holding out on them.

  503. He gave you this entire garden, but he's reserved something.

  504. Why won't he let you have that? He doesn't want

  505. you to have that because you'll be like him. Wait

  506. a minute. I was created in his image in Genesis

  507. chapter number one, involuntarily.

  508. We weren't even.

  509. There to say pick me, pick me. He said, let

  510. us make man in our image. He's the one that

  511. gave them dominion over the earth that he created, He

  512. had already blessed him with everything that they ever needed.

  513. But the enemy is so.

  514. Good of convincing us that God is holding out on us,

  515. that He's given you a lot, but he held.

  516. Something else back, and you need to go get that.

  517. He's robbing you.

  518. He's given you something, but you need some more, and

  519. he wants you to have some more. Anybody beside me

  520. ever overextended yourself past God's grace.

  521. I love an honest church.

  522. Anybody you had everything God gave you, but then you

  523. were like, I think he wants me to have a

  524. little bit more.

  525. And then you got what you wanted, and now you

  526. don't want what you got now.

  527. Now the woman saw that the tree was good for food,

  528. and that it was a thing of lust for the eyes,

  529. and that the tree was desirable for imparting wisdom. This

  530. is a less of the flesh, lust of the eyes,

  531. and the pride of life right here. If you want

  532. to know why the why we needed a second man, Adam,

  533. is because the first man Adam did this. Now the

  534. woman saw that the tree was good for food, and

  535. that it was a thing of lust for the eyes,

  536. and that the tree was desirable for imparting wisdom. So

  537. she took of his fruit and she ate. She also

  538. gave her husband, who was with her, and he ate.

  539. Wait a minute, Adam, ooh, Adam, child, let me tell

  540. you something. If they in heaven when I die, I'm

  541. telling you all right now, after I worship God for

  542. a millennia, I'm going the first thousand years is the

  543. first fruits for the rest of eternity. For a thousand years,

  544. I'm gonna do nothing but praise his name. But on

  545. the thousandth year and one day, if they made it

  546. to heaven, I'm gonna ask Jesus where they at. I

  547. had to spend my whole life with clothes on because

  548. of y'all. It could have been a balmy sixty eight

  549. degrees all over the world. I could have been rioting

  550. bareback on the back of a lion, but them jokers

  551. could maul me because of you.

  552. You had all this fruit in the garden. You watched

  553. your wife look take eat and pass it to you,

  554. and you didn't slap it out of her hand. I'm

  555. gonna tell you what should have happened. What should have

  556. happened is she looks, she took she ate, and when

  557. she went.

  558. Like that, he should have said, girl, what in the

  559. world do you think you do it? Instead of because

  560. he understood what the penalty was. He knew the penalty

  561. was death. But instead of the first man, Adam dying for.

  562. His wife, he died with his wife.

  563. And that's why we needed a second man at him,

  564. because we needed the atom that would die for us and.

  565. Not die with us.

  566. Then the eyes of both of them were open, and

  567. they knew that they were naked. Wait a minute, they

  568. had already been naked. See, we were unashamed, and that's

  569. where peace is. But the moment we disobeyed, shame came in.

  570. The first fracture of our piece is shame the disobedience

  571. that caused it. But the first felt experience. It's not lust,

  572. it's not anger, it's not murder, it's not bitterness, it's

  573. not jealousy, it's not pettiness. The first action and experience

  574. of our disobedience was shame.

  575. We know we're naked, and now we don't know what

  576. to do with it. And get this, they're not ashamed

  577. of each other's nakedness, they're ashamed of their own.

  578. They don't know what to make sense of each other

  579. because they can't make sense of themselves. So they sewed

  580. fig leaves together and made for themselves loin coverings.

  581. They go from the little two year old Mama that

  582. ain't hey.

  583. Two okay, I can't let nobody see me like this.

  584. And they heard the sound of Ada ni Elohim going

  585. to and fro in the garden in the wind of

  586. the day. So the man and his wife hid themselves

  587. from the presence of Ada ni Elohim in the missis

  588. of the tree of the garden.

  589. Can you imagine.

  590. Being so full of shame that when you hear God's

  591. presence show up, you hide from the one that created you.

  592. Can Can I tell you how Genesis three should have

  593. played out, even after they sin. After Adam bit that

  594. fruit and recognize his neckedness.

  595. He should have went streaking through the garden at the

  596. top of his lungs.

  597. Da dad, I I'm not God?

  598. What this sit got those? What is this? Tell me?

  599. Shame will make you run from the person that created you.

  600. Shame will make you run from the person that created it.

  601. I never want to be so full of shame that

  602. I run from God's presence. I want to be able

  603. to run into God's presence even on my worst day. God,

  604. here I am again. I'm so sorry. I know. This

  605. is my thirteenth time. I told you I wouldn't do

  606. it the last time. This is number thirteen. But I'm

  607. back in your presence again because where else.

  608. Can I go?

  609. If I make my bed in heaven, you will be there.

  610. If I make my bed in hell, you will be there.

  611. There's no place that I can run from your presence.

  612. So it's me again, Oh Lord, standing.

  613. In the need of prayer.

  614. And they heard the sound of that of night elo

  615. Him going to and fro in the garden the wind

  616. to day, so they hid themselves. Okay, next one, first,

  617. number nine. Then Adam night Eloheen called to the man

  618. and said to him, where are you?

  619. This is the question.

  620. That brings us to where we need to be today,

  621. because I love that Ada night Eloheim showed up. His

  622. first question was not what have you done? His first

  623. statement was not I can't believe you. He does not

  624. step in with a judgmental tone, talking about see, this

  625. is why I can't give y'all nothing. Only been two

  626. chapters and you found your way to mess it up.

  627. Because I don't know how much time has been so

  628. I can only go by the chair. I'm so sorry

  629. the way the text reads, I don't know how am

  630. I supposed to know?

  631. I don't know.

  632. Gave you all these mangos, all these grapes?

  633. All right? Only the parents can identify with me that

  634. got teenagers.

  635. I bought them groceries yesterday. How you go through fourteen

  636. gallons of punch in a day? YopE, has to be

  637. high fruit toast, corn syrup.

  638. What is wrong with you?

  639. Drink some water? Oh is thirsty?

  640. You cannot drink Hawaiian punch. I'm not going back to

  641. Costco until next month. I'm not going back to Sam's Club.

  642. You done ate?

  643. Fourteen bags are romen in two and a half days?

  644. You noodle you. He did not shame them. This is

  645. very important.

  646. They were already full of shame. They already felt shame.

  647. So when Adam and I Eloheem shows up, he does

  648. not show up to shame. He doesn't show up to

  649. do anything but ask a question, where are you? And

  650. this is a beautiful question that God asked. Because God's

  651. not asking the question because he's looking for Adam.

  652. He knows where Adam is. Adam and I.

  653. Elohem asked this question to see if Adam knows where

  654. Adam is? Do you know where you are today? If

  655. God were to ask you the question where are you?

  656. Could you properly ask the question? Or would you let your.

  657. Shame become so immense that you shifted to blame? Where

  658. are you?

  659. It's a very direct question. He's talking to Adam, where

  660. are you? And here is Adam's response, your sound.

  661. I heard you, I got afraid. I hid because I'm naked.

  662. And then God asked the second question, who told you that?

  663. I mean I made you.

  664. Fearfully and wonderfully made you. You were so pristine you

  665. didn't need to be covered up with anything. I wanted

  666. you exposed. I wanted you vulnerable. I wanted you on display.

  667. Who told you you were naked? This is a very

  668. important question because if I didn't tell you, where are

  669. you getting your narrative from. I know there's some people

  670. in here that have started going to therapy, God bless you.

  671. I know there's some people in here that are still reserving.

  672. I ain't going to therapy. My therapist is God, and

  673. I don't need nobody with Jesus, and I.

  674. Would say you are right, and you are wrong, because

  675. God is the first therapist. The first two questions he

  676. asked humanity are the first two questions that a therapist

  677. asked you in your first session.

  678. Where are you? Thank you for booking this time with me?

  679. Where are you right now? Where are you in your life? Well?

  680. I'm here and i'm here, and you know I'm kind

  681. of crazy. And who told you that? Well, you know,

  682. I'm real defensive because where are you getting your narrative from?

  683. Because your inner narrative is actually dictating how you show

  684. up in life?

  685. So who told you that?

  686. Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten

  687. from the tree from which I commanded you not to eat?

  688. Now? Remember this is the same Adam who looked at

  689. his bride and said, you are me girl. You all

  690. that right there?

  691. You me. He was so connected with her he didn't

  692. even give her a name, except to say, you are

  693. me with a womb.

  694. If I am man, you are a man with a womb,

  695. and we're.

  696. So connected, I don't even need to call you because

  697. you're right by my side.

  698. It goes from that to the woman whom you gave

  699. to be with me. She gave me of the tree

  700. and I ate. So then he goes to ask the woman, Okay,

  701. what did you do? And she said, the serpent deceived me,

  702. and I ate. We lose our peace when we are

  703. convinced that God is holding out on us.

  704. We lose our peace when we allow the enemy to

  705. make us think that God has put something off to

  706. the side that he don't want you to have, but

  707. he wants you to go get.

  708. So instead of being in a.

  709. Posture to receive from God, we are in a posture

  710. where we think we have to go get something from God.

  711. And when we turn from receivers to getters, we wind

  712. up going past the boundaries that God set for our lives.

  713. You got to remember the posture was Adam and Eve

  714. around on day one? Hello, We're they around on day two?

  715. Were they around on day three? Were they around on

  716. day four? Were they around on day five? They came

  717. on day six to something that was already built out

  718. for them. All they had to do was manage it.

  719. They didn't have to go get it. They received it.

  720. When we turn from receivers to getters, we go past

  721. boundaries that God has established. And I want to be

  722. in a position as a giver a giver of the

  723. things that I have received from him. So on this

  724. first week what's really going on is that some of

  725. us have been hiding in the bushes. The disruption of

  726. our peace has made us hide. It's made us cover

  727. up the stuff that he wants to leave uncovered. It's

  728. made us hide the things that he wants us to

  729. bring into the light. And we cannot be healed from

  730. what we do not reveal. You cannot get God to

  731. treat a thing that you won't bring into the light.

  732. And so on this first weekend, since we got so

  733. much time to be with each other over the next

  734. six weeks, I just want to call some people out

  735. of hiding, but asking the same exact question that Ada

  736. night Eloheim asked.

  737. In the garden today. Where are you? Where are you? Remember,

  738. He's not looking for you.

  739. He wants to know if you can locate yourself and

  740. be honest enough to say, I'm hiding something right now.

  741. I'm afraid for my spouse to see it. I'm afraid

  742. for my friends to know it. I'm afraid for my

  743. family to ever see me as something other than strong,

  744. something other than right. I'm a shamed My peers won't

  745. look at me the same. I'm a little bit nervous

  746. that they'll treat me differently if I were to come

  747. into the light, and if I were to let them

  748. see what I've been hiding, I don't know if they'll

  749. accept me. I don't want you to worry about none

  750. of them today. What matters today is your reconnection with God,

  751. Thank your Holy Ghost, even if it disconnects you from

  752. everybody else. There's some people in this room at the

  753. expense of being connected to God, you've disconnected to Him,

  754. so you could be connected to everybody else.

  755. And I'm here to tell you you want to switch

  756. that around.

  757. I'd I'd rather lose every relationship I have right now

  758. to be reconnected with God than to keep relationships.

  759. That are based on what I'm hiding and not what

  760. I'm showing. So in a moment we're about to pray,

  761. I'm going to ask the off.

  762. The team to come up at this time because I

  763. believe some people are about to come out of hiding.

  764. I believe there's some people that are come about to

  765. come out of the shrubs. There's some people that are

  766. but to come out of the bushes because they don't

  767. want to be held in bondage anymore. They want to shake, shake, shake,

  768. that they can break, break, break.

  769. On the other side of this hide is where you heal.

  770. On the other side of where you hide is where

  771. you heal.

  772. So Holy Spirit, I pray right now that you would

  773. not let shame arrest Adam and Eve any longer. I

  774. pray for every Adam and Eve in this room, and

  775. I thank you, Holy Spirit, that you are calling them

  776. back to relationship with you. Come out, Come out wherever

  777. you are at a night, Elohem wants to give you

  778. the covering that you truly need. The leaves.

  779. Thank your Holy Ghost. Leave the leaves. He's got a

  780. greater covering for you.

  781. The reason why Jesus could promise his peace because he

  782. shed his blood.

  783. And the only covering you'll ever need is the blood.

  784. It's the Holy Spirit.

  785. Draw your people, not for any man's credit, but all

  786. for your glory in Jesus' name. Hey man, if you're

  787. ready to come out from where you are, I just

  788. want you to meet me at the altar right now,

  789. from wherever you are.

  790. You're saying I need to come out from wherever you are.

  791. Just want you to come. I just want you to come.

  792. No clapping, no clapping, no clapping, because there was no

  793. clapping in the garden, there was no round of applause

  794. to give the person that decided to be seen decided

  795. to be heard. And so in the sacred space of

  796. this moment, we just want to let people come. I

  797. want you to come from wherever you are. I want

  798. you to come.

  799. I don't want you hiding anymore.

  800. I wish we could hard reset and be back to

  801. the place where we're naked and not ashamed. We cannot

  802. do that physically, but we can do that emotionally. We

  803. can do that relationally.

  804. We can do that spiritually.

  805. I no longer have to hide who I am in

  806. the presence of the Lord who made me. I get

  807. to be who he called me to be. And I

  808. want to be seen. I want to be heard. I

  809. want to be known, and I want to be loved.

  810. Even if I'm not agreed with I want to be seen.

  811. I want to be heard. I want to be known,

  812. and I want.

  813. To be loved.

  814. I'm not supposed to be in these bushes. I'm not

  815. supposed to be in these bush I'm meant to be out,

  816. but I keep acting like I'm supposed to be in.

  817. I'm coming out today. I'm coming out today. I'm coming

  818. out today. I'm coming out today. Come on, I'm coming

  819. out today. I'm not gonna stay where I am. I'm

  820. coming out today. I'm not gonna stay where I am.

  821. I'm coming out today. I don't care what relationship I

  822. have to lose. I gotta come out. I don't care

  823. who judges me. I have to come out. I cannot

  824. stay in the place, in the position that I have

  825. been in. I must come out. I must come out.

  826. I must come.

  827. Out. I must come out. Oh, I'm so proud of

  828. y'all for being this brave.

  829. You have no idea how happy I am for you.

  830. I'm telling you, I know what it is. I'll only

  831. preach stuff that I know. I only preach stuff that

  832. I've been through. And I'm telling you, I know what

  833. it is to be hiding things so ashamed that I

  834. think I need to hide, and God is saying no,

  835. you can just you can just put that out there.

  836. I can handle it. I can handle your nakedness because

  837. I'm the one.

  838. That created you naked. I know you don't want them

  839. to know, but please understand, I can know. I already

  840. know the question I'm asking you today is.

  841. Do you know where are you?

  842. Where are you?

  843. Where are.

  844. You?

  845. You're gonna find yourself today, the real you. You're gonna

  846. find yourself, not the fake you, but the real you.

  847. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna

  848. find yourself. You're gonna find yourself. You're gonna like who

  849. you become after this series. You're gonna like who you

  850. become after this You're gonna find yourself.

  851. You're gonna find yourself.

  852. I'm gonna ask everyone else that's here to just stand

  853. to your feet. Let's start praying for these people that

  854. are at this altar.

  855. Gonna ask the worship team to come.

  856. There may be somebody in this room you have not

  857. given your life to Jesus. You've been hiding since you

  858. were born. We were all born in sin. We were

  859. all shaping and iniquity. We came in having to be

  860. covered up. We came in disconnected from God, not because

  861. of anything that we did, just because of the fact.

  862. That we were born.

  863. We were born into sin, we were shaping in iniquity.
