  1. Welcome to Transformation Church Podcast, where we represent God to

  2. the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so

  3. glad you're here and wherever you're listening from, we believe

  4. God will transform your life. Do today's message?

  5. Would you stand to your feet for the reading of

  6. God's Word. We have been in a series called The

  7. Missing Piece. This is week five of six and we

  8. have been talking every week about what happens when you

  9. get your peace back. What happens to your nervous system,

  10. what happens to your mind, what happens to your relationships

  11. when you actually have the shalom that Jesus promised he

  12. would give us in the Gospel, according to Saint John,

  13. chapter number fourteen, verse number twenty seven, Shalom I leave

  14. with you. Shalom might give you, but not as the

  15. world gives, which strongly implies that the world does have

  16. a version of peace, but it's an imitation. It doesn't last.

  17. He says, but not as the world gives. So neither

  18. be thou troubled or afraid. He was literally saying, I'm

  19. not giving you something that gives you chill bumps on Sunday.

  20. I'm giving you something that regulates your nervous system on

  21. Sunday night Monday morning in traffic. When you get to

  22. work fulu with them bosses on your job and them coworkers,

  23. family members. You can have a regulated nervous system. You

  24. get to have your emotions. Your emotions don't get to

  25. have you. And today I draw your attention to just

  26. three verses in the Book of Genesis, because time does

  27. not afford me to read twelve chapters. I would love

  28. to do it in like a Bible study setting, but

  29. I won't be able to do it here. So I

  30. draw your attention to three verses. The first two are

  31. in the Book of Genesis, chapter number forty five, Verses

  32. seven and eight. Here's what the Word of the Lord says.

  33. But God sent me ahead of you.

  34. I feel, ooh, the storyteller in me is just having

  35. fits because I have to. I have to insert you

  36. into a narrative that has been developing since Genesis thirty seven.

  37. And here I have the audacity to drop you into

  38. chapter forty five. But I'll come back and give you

  39. some context. But this is what Joseph says to his brothers.

  40. But God sent me ahead of you, you to ensure

  41. a remnant in the land and to keep you alive

  42. for a great escape. So now it wasn't you. You

  43. didn't send me here, but God, and he made me

  44. as a father to Pharaoh, lord over his whole house,

  45. and ruler over the entire land of Egypt. Genesis, chapter

  46. number fifty, Verse number twenty. Joseph, again talking to his brother,

  47. says this, yes, you yourselves planned evil against me.

  48. God planned it for good.

  49. Ooh, Resistor urged him. God planned it for good in

  50. order to bring about what it is this day, to

  51. preserve the lives of many people. If you're taking notes

  52. on this message, the title of this message is peace

  53. in the plot, Armor, Peace in the plot. Armor. Let's

  54. pray and then we'll sit down, shall we, Holy Spirit,

  55. give us peace in the plot that you've planned for

  56. our purpose. In Jesus' name, Amen, you may be seated. Genesis,

  57. chapter number thirty seven records.

  58. The life story of a young man name Joseph.

  59. Joseph is one of the two children born to j

  60. slash Israel, who is a child of the woman he

  61. originally fell in love with and worked so many years

  62. to have a life with. Joseph and his brother Benjamin

  63. are the sons of Jacob through their mother Rachel.

  64. Rachel dies.

  65. While giving birth to Joseph's younger brother, Benjamin. He is

  66. a child of Jacob's old age, and he is favored

  67. by his father. Scripture says that he was favored over

  68. all his other brothers. Jacob just had an infinity for Joseph.

  69. I believe it was because it was with Rachel, with

  70. whom he had fallen in love with initially, and the

  71. fact that this was his first born son through that union.

  72. I believe he just had an endearment to Joseph as

  73. a parent. I know Jacob loved all of his kids,

  74. but you know, you got them one kid or a

  75. couple of those kids that you're just like.

  76. You know what.

  77. I can't say it out loud, but you my favorite.

  78. I don't tell your siblings, but.

  79. You and I just get along. We click.

  80. And he made for his son a coat of many colors.

  81. So the brothers already knew they had been seeing the

  82. interaction that Jacob had with this particular son. They knew

  83. he was favored, but then Jacob exasperated it by giving

  84. him a coat.

  85. So now he has this coat of many.

  86. Colors that he loves he loves this coat that his

  87. father gave him.

  88. He's wearing this coat. He loves this coat.

  89. He understands what this coat means to him, how it

  90. makes him connect with his father.

  91. He's wearing the coat. On top of that, Joseph is

  92. a snitch. Let's just keep it a buck.

  93. A lot of times we glaze over the character flaws

  94. of such people in the Bible. But they're human just

  95. like us. These are not stories of superheroes. These are

  96. real men and women that lived in a narrative that's

  97. recorded in scripture. Joseph was a snitch. He told on

  98. his brothers whenever they were doing something wrong. He would

  99. report back to his father. His father trusted him in

  100. that way, and he would come home and he'd be like, ooh,

  101. Daddy Simeon down there shrimping, Rubin Levi and Judah, Oh,

  102. I saw him over this girl's house. Anybody anybody got

  103. neat younger siblings, they'll snitch. I was that sibling. I

  104. just went you know. Sometimes Preacher tried to make it

  105. seem like it was always the other person. Now, I

  106. had an older brother that was ten years older than me.

  107. Whenever he did something, I went straight to my mom

  108. and daddy and be like, Mama, there go dad. Men,

  109. Joseph's wearing this caught of many colors. He's he's out

  110. in the field. His brothers start hating him. When Joseph

  111. was seventeen years old, he had a dream, a very

  112. unique dream. The dream was so compelling to him that

  113. he he couldn't keep it to himself. He had a

  114. dream that they were gathering the harvest in outside, and

  115. he had gathered his bundle the sheaves, and his brothers

  116. had gathered their sheaves, and then he saw in the

  117. dream that all of their sheafs came to his sheaf

  118. and bowed down before him.

  119. Now, for however, rude, crude, or.

  120. One time, these brothers were, they were still in the

  121. covenant of God, and they had the interpretation of dreams.

  122. We know they had the interpretation of dreams because when

  123. they heard Joseph's dream, they weren't just like, man, you

  124. trip and get out of here. They were like, wait

  125. a minute. They instantly interpreted and said, do you think

  126. we're gonna bow down to you?

  127. One day? They immediately interpreted the dream.

  128. Can I just pause and say that, even though you

  129. might find somebody that's wavered. Don't think that God's gifting

  130. is gonna leave them. I don't know who that's for,

  131. but for any judgmental people in the room. Don't think,

  132. just because somebody might be backsliding or they're not living

  133. in the ways of the Lord, that when.

  134. God gives them the gift.

  135. He's gonna take it back just because they're.

  136. Not using it for his glory. He he has this

  137. dream and he shares it with him.

  138. Now, I just want to say, my advice to Joseph

  139. would have been, Hey, if you are the favorite of

  140. your father and he gave you a coat of many colors,

  141. and then God gives you.

  142. A great a dream, here's what you don't do.

  143. If you gonna wear the coat, don't tell the dream.

  144. And if you don't tell the dream, don't wear the coat.

  145. But please resist the earth to put on the coat and.

  146. Give the dream. Do one or the other, but not both.

  147. Joseph's brothers, Skipture says, hated him even more so they plotted.

  148. And this is how you know these dudes was gangster.

  149. They didn't plot to beat him up like older siblings

  150. due to a younger siblings oftentimes. No, they were like

  151. let's kill him. We'd be waving flaggs about twelve tribes

  152. of Judah, be like the twelve drives of Israel.

  153. You'll be like that joker. Let's kill him.

  154. And it was Reuben that says, no, no, no, we should

  155. not shed our brother's blood. So then Judah comes in

  156. and is like, you know what, there's a pit over there.

  157. Let's throw him in the pit. So they throw him

  158. in the pit.

  159. Now I want you to imagine that at seventeen years old,

  160. Joseph has a dream that one day his whole family

  161. is gonna bow down and be serving him.

  162. But now he finds himself in a pit.

  163. Scripto says that there was an empty pit with no

  164. water in it, and Joseph is thrown into the pit.

  165. Can you imagine him at the bottom of that pit

  166. trying to compare the analysis between the dream he had

  167. and the reality he now lives in. Anybody beside me

  168. had a word that you got from God, and the

  169. reality of where you are does not match the word

  170. that you got from God.

  171. And you're trying to you're trying to reconcile.

  172. Wait, God, I heard you just say in my dream

  173. that my whole family was going to be subservient to me,

  174. that they were going to be submitted to me. But

  175. now I find myself in a pit. Joseph is in

  176. the pit by himself. Scripture says that the pit was empty,

  177. but I know better.

  178. Than to just read what the text says. The text

  179. does say.

  180. That the pit was empty, but the pit was only

  181. empty until Joseph.

  182. Got in it.

  183. For the moment Joseph got in the pit, the pit

  184. was no longer empty. It wasn't just filled with Joseph.

  185. It was also filled with the dreams that Joseph had.

  186. That empty pit was now filled with the purposes and

  187. the plans.

  188. Of God for what God wanted to do in Joseph's life.

  189. Joseph is in the pit, and he's trying to figure

  190. out what's going to happen to his life. I don't

  191. know if he was there for hours. I do not

  192. know if he was there for days. But one of

  193. the brothers was just like, you know what, we just

  194. can't leave him in this pit to starve and die.

  195. Let's sell him. It just keeps getting progressively worse.

  196. These brothers, these are not the kind of family members

  197. you want. I thought about killing you but on second thought,

  198. we threw you in the pit, and then on third thought.

  199. We thought we would just sell you into slavery.

  200. We don't care what happens with you. So the Midianites

  201. come by some traveling merchants and they sell Joseph to

  202. the Midianites for thirty pieces of silver. They bag the money,

  203. and then they say, I wonder what we're gonna do.

  204. With the story of what we did to Joseph.

  205. Ruben is the one that told him to come and

  206. throw him in the pit. And Ruben, the way the

  207. text explains it, Ruben's this is implied. It's not literally

  208. like like like spelled out. But I believe Ruben told

  209. him to throw him in the pit so he could

  210. come back.

  211. At night and bring him out of it.

  212. When Ruben came back, he was already gone because he

  213. was sold into slavery. So Ruben comes back and goes

  214. what happened to what happened to Joseph, And they were like, oh,

  215. we sold him into slavery. Then he said, well, we're

  216. gonna tell a father. He was like, well, we got

  217. his coat. Let's kill an animal, dip it in the blood,

  218. and take it back to his daddy and let his

  219. daddy give the narrative. So they come back to Jacob

  220. with the bloody coat of Joseph, and they hand it

  221. to him and.

  222. Say do you.

  223. Recognize this coat? They know exactly what happened, but they're

  224. gonna let him draw the conclusion. Hey, dad, do you

  225. recognize this coat? And he goes, oh, my goodness, this

  226. is my son's coat. An animal must have maulted him

  227. out in the wilderness. And they were like, yuh, what

  228. you said? Straight up? What did you say?

  229. Again?

  230. The animal must have model in the wilderness. That's exactly

  231. what happened, and he must have picked him clean, because

  232. we didn't see none of him. We just saw the coat.

  233. So Joseph goes from being hated betrayed to pit it

  234. and so, and he sold to a young man named Potiphar.

  235. Potiphar has rank in UH, the the the egip, the

  236. Egyptian UH political system, and and he hires Joseph to

  237. work in his house because Joseph is so favored. Thank you,

  238. Holy ghost, I'm gonna take my time. Because Joseph is

  239. so favored, he winds up the chief in Potiphar's house.

  240. Can I just say that when God puts favor on you,

  241. it works anywhere. I'm gonna say that again for somebody

  242. that doesn't believe it. When God gives his favor to

  243. you in places favor on your life, it will work anywhere.

  244. So in the company of his father, he had on

  245. a coat, but his favor wasn't in what was on him.

  246. It was in what was in him.

  247. That favor was in Joseph, whether he ever wore that

  248. coat again or not. When he was in the pit,

  249. he had favor. When he was sold, he had favor.

  250. When he was in Potiphar's house, he had.

  251. Favor.

  252. He's in Potiphar's house, he quickly becomes the chief of

  253. everything that is in Potiphar's house. He gets promoted, promoted, promoted,

  254. until he is over everything. Scripture says that he is

  255. a handsome young man, so handsome that he catches the

  256. attention of Potiphar's wife, because favor is attractive, Favor is

  257. absolutely intoxicated. If you get God's favor on your life,

  258. people would just want to be around you just because

  259. you have that thing on you that they want. And

  260. so Potiphar's wife catches the attention of Joseph and she

  261. is smitten by him and Potiphar's wife. Oh, she for

  262. the streets.

  263. I'm so sorry missus Potiphar.

  264. But you for the streets. The attraction that she has

  265. she cannot keep to herself.

  266. She literally tells Joseph, you need to come to bed

  267. with me. Read the text.

  268. She says, come lie with me, come hop into bed

  269. with me. When Potiphar go to work, it could be

  270. me and you. Joseph is like, no, man, you're not

  271. about to get me fired.

  272. The favor that God has placed on my life.

  273. Has given me favor in your husband's house.

  274. You gotta talk like that.

  275. When people trying to make you commit adultery, you gotta

  276. start reminding them that they are already married too.

  277. You know what I'm saying.

  278. They trying to act like it's a thing between.

  279. Me and you.

  280. Your husband said, ma'am, have you forgot you married? I'm

  281. not gonna call your husband mister Potterphar, I'm.

  282. Gonna call him your husband.

  283. Your husband has given me authority over everything in the house.

  284. The only thing he hasn't given me permission to do

  285. is touch you.

  286. Because you're married to him.

  287. Then this is how you know, Joseph has fidelity to God.

  288. He says, how could I send before God and your husband?

  289. Pump your husband. I have to report to God. The

  290. only reason why I'm in this position is because of

  291. what God has done for me.

  292. And I'm not about to ruin it for seven minutes

  293. with you arbitrary number.

  294. I guess you gotta work fast when other people is

  295. in the house.

  296. I don't know.

  297. He declines her offer, and Scripture says, every single day

  298. he came to work, she came after him. When he

  299. came to work, she went to work, lie with me,

  300. come in here. Oh, you look so good today, you

  301. so handsome. Look at your muscles and things.

  302. They're so strong, rare.

  303. And every single day he was like, not about that life.

  304. I'm not about that life. I'm not about that life.

  305. I'm not about that life. I don't even know if

  306. I'm ever going to see my family again. I got

  307. to make the best of the situation I'm in. I

  308. still have a vision of the dream that I had

  309. circling in my head. This is not the reality of

  310. what I saw in my head. But this is the

  311. reality of where I am right now, and I'm not

  312. going to ruin it over a temptation every single day.

  313. Scripture says, he declined, he declined the offer, he declined

  314. the offer, He declined the offer until one day. Scripture says,

  315. when nobody else was working in the house, Joseph went

  316. in the house to do his duties. Can I just

  317. pause and say to anybody that would be wise enough

  318. to listen. The reason why Joseph was able to handle

  319. the temptation of Potiphar's wife on all of those other

  320. days is because there was always someone else in the house.

  321. And when you have accountability around you, the only thing

  322. your temptation can do is taunt you. Lie with me,

  323. Lie with me, Lie with me, sleep with me, sleep

  324. with me, sleep with me.

  325. She had to kind of say it on the low.

  326. Why there were other people in the house, there were

  327. other ears that were listening. But on the day when

  328. no one else was in the house, Joseph no disrespect.

  329. Joey was foolish enough that he could go head up

  330. with his temptation accountability around him, And on every other

  331. day when there was another person in the house, the

  332. only thing Potiphar's wife's temptation could do was taught him.

  333. But the moment accountability was removed. It took him. Scripture

  334. says that she grabbed him because there was nobody else.

  335. In the house.

  336. Your temptation just taunts you when you have accountability, But

  337. when there's no accountability, your temptation will grab you. And

  338. now you're in a different situation when it grabs you.

  339. Then when it was just talking to you, the temptation

  340. grabbed him. And the only way I think Paul, who

  341. was a Pharisee and knew the whole old Testament back

  342. and forth, forth and back, I think when he writes

  343. the words flea fornication, it came from here.

  344. Because she grabbed.

  345. His garment, and it had to be a loose garment

  346. because your boy did the most sophisticated slip out of

  347. that garment you have ever seen. Listen and went running.

  348. He wasn't like, hey man, we can't do that. You

  349. know I already told you. Mister Fireifer wouldn't be happy

  350. about that. Ma'am, you need to control yourself.

  351. No.

  352. Scripture says, he slipped out of that garment and he was.

  353. Like, lady crazy, I'll get fired because.

  354. Your nasty butt can't keep your hands to your zeal.

  355. He ran.

  356. That's the only way you get away from fornication. Well,

  357. I'm gonna look at this camera and say that the

  358. only way you're gonna get away from that fortnication is

  359. to run. It is not going to be because you

  360. make a negotiation with it. You gotta get on your

  361. two feet and run up out of there.

  362. I'm tired of.

  363. People falling into sexual seeing outside of marriage, talking about you.

  364. Know what, then this one thing just led to another.

  365. No it didn't. We was just chilling. But then the

  366. next thing, you know, the next thing you know, No, No,

  367. that's not the way fortication goes before you knew it. No,

  368. before you know, you can get shot. I was just

  369. walking down the street before you knew it.

  370. Pow pal pal.

  371. The next thing you know can happen in a car accident.

  372. I was trying to make a left on Mingo Road

  373. and the next thing you know, bang, Well, let me

  374. tell you what you can't next thing you know, sex.

  375. He made it incredibly intimate and difficult to have by accident.

  376. This would be the quiet part of the sermy.

  377. Some of y'all need some track shoes. You're talking about

  378. un understand how I keep faulting? I do? You don't run.

  379. You're still trying to negotiate with a temptation that the

  380. Lord's telling you to run from.

  381. You need accountability in your life.

  382. You wouldn't be having them reckless conversations if somebody else

  383. was in your DMS, if somebody else has your passwords,

  384. you wouldn't be talking like that. If you knew somebody

  385. else was gonna be watching, you wouldn't be doing all that.

  386. Joseph ran he had integrity, but we have to acknowledge

  387. his stupidity, the stupidity to try to go head up

  388. against your temptress with no accountability, because now it's your

  389. word against hers. And ooh, she lied. That's how scandless

  390. she is.

  391. She was so.

  392. Taken aback by his rejection that she had to make

  393. up a lie. She couldn't stand the fact that this young,

  394. strapping man would not compromise his morals to satisfy his flesh. So,

  395. with the garment left in her hands, she just went.

  396. Okay't this man just.

  397. I mean, I'm fine. This worked on all the other

  398. people out I done slept with many a assistant of

  399. my husband's.

  400. I thought this dude was gonna be as easy as

  401. I don't like the fact that he did.

  402. That, my ego is hurt. The service run in, missus potipher,

  403. what's wrong? That young man that my husband hired came

  404. in here and tried to put himself on me, but

  405. I screamed and he ran.

  406. He left his coat.

  407. Joseph steadily coming out of his garments, out of his robe,

  408. out of his tunic. He's not gonna let anything he's

  409. wearing make him compromise the vision that God has given him.

  410. So now my boy rise up in prison.

  411. He winds up in prison. Can you imagine you have

  412. been hated, betrayed, pitted, sold lied on, and now put

  413. in prison. Joseph is in prison. And while he is

  414. in prison, to a fair rows inner court employees or

  415. in prison is where the cup bearer and the baker,

  416. they both have dreams. Joseph interprets their dreams. For the

  417. cup bearer, the cupbearer's interpretation of his dream was that

  418. even though you got in trouble with Pharaoh, you're gonna

  419. be restored into Pharaoh's court and you will hand him

  420. a drink again, and Pharaoh will be in love with

  421. you again, and you will serve him again. But for

  422. the baker, don't you hate when you get a prophetic word,

  423. and it ain't happy when the Lord is like Thus

  424. said the Lord, you're about to go through something you like.

  425. I don't even want that word. Don't don't come to me.

  426. That's when we get all technical with First Corinthians. That

  427. does not encourage me. I didn't feel exhorted by that.

  428. I don't feel comforted by that. Not a prophetic word.

  429. The baker has a prophetic word through a dream, and

  430. Joseph interprets it and he goes, hey, I'm so sorry,

  431. but in three days you're gonna meet Pharaoh as well,

  432. but he gonna take off your head because Pharaoh's still Pharaoh.

  433. He's a gangster. Here's what Joseph says to the cup bearer,

  434. the one that's gonna live, Will you please remember me

  435. when you get to Pharaoh and get me out of

  436. this situation because I didn't do nothing. Missus Potteriper lied

  437. on me. The baker gets.

  438. Out, gets his head cut off.

  439. The cup bearer is restored to Pharaoh's court, and he

  440. forgets about Joseph for two whole years. Can you imagine

  441. thinking that in the next couple of hours, cut bearer

  442. I interpreted his dream. I know, homie, go hook me up.

  443. A day goes by, five days go by, a week

  444. goes by. I know he didn't forget about me like that. Man.

  445. I interpreted his dream. He's back in Pharaoh's court. Six

  446. months goes by, a year goes by, Two full years

  447. go by, and then Pharaoh has a dream. Pharaoh has

  448. a dream that cannot be interpreted by anybody in his

  449. inner court. And then the cupbearer says, oh, my goodness,

  450. I've sinned. There's a dude that I was locked up

  451. with two years ago.

  452. He interpreted my dream. I'm sure he can interpret yours.

  453. Joseph is released from prison and brought into Pharaoh's court,

  454. and Pharaoh explains a dream to him. He said, I

  455. saw some fat cows, but then they were eaten by

  456. some skinny cows. I saw plentiful stalks of corn, but

  457. then they were eaten up and swallowed up by these

  458. really dry, parched, thin, emaciated stalks of corn. And Joseph says,

  459. don't worry about that. This is a good dream, Pharaoh,

  460. but I know what it means. You had two dreams,

  461. but it's only one meaning have seven years of plenty

  462. and then you're gonna have seven years of famine, and

  463. the famine's gonna be so rough it's almost gonna be

  464. like you didn't have the seven years of plenty. And

  465. Pharaoh said, I appreciate you interpreting my dream. And Joseph says, hey,

  466. because this is gonna happen, you need to get somebody

  467. highly skilled in administration to be over all the stuff

  468. that I just told you. And Pharaoh said, that person

  469. is you. He says, you are about to be my

  470. second in command. I'm bestowing everything to you the same

  471. authority you had in Potiphar's house. Scratch that, I'm promoting

  472. you to being the second in command only to me.

  473. When people hear you, they hear me. As a matter

  474. of fact, pull my chariot around. I want you to

  475. get in my chariot and you're gonna do a lap

  476. around the city so people understand when they see you

  477. in my chariot that you have the same authority as

  478. I have. Now, I'm telling you all of this because

  479. I need you to understand everything that Joseph has gone

  480. through and the disposition that he continued to have through.

  481. Everything that he went through.

  482. He had a dream when he was seventeen years old,

  483. and the hatred and the betrayal of his brothers did

  484. not make him forget.

  485. About the dream that he had.

  486. The pit he was thrown in did not make him

  487. forget about the dream that he had. Here's why this

  488. was such an important message that I believe needed to

  489. be in this Peace of Mind series, because many times

  490. we allow our present circumstances to change our inner narrative

  491. based on what we're going through. Joseph had a dream,

  492. a word from God, that he was going to be

  493. in this position of authority. So even when his brothers

  494. hated him, he did not walk around.

  495. Saying, man, I'm just hated, nobody likes me. I can't

  496. believe I'm going through all of this.

  497. When he was put in the pit, his inner narrative

  498. did not change to this is it for me. I

  499. thought God had a plan for me, But now I'm

  500. just in this pit, So I guess this is round

  501. supposed to be for the rest of my life. When

  502. he was sowed into slavery, he never had the inner

  503. narrative of I'm a slave.

  504. I was sold out by my brother and I'm just

  505. a slave, and.

  506. So I'm just gonna I guess I'm just gotta have

  507. a slave mentality because I'm a slave. I mean, look,

  508. I'm literally a slave, so I must be a slave. No,

  509. he never let go of what he had on the

  510. inside of him, which was I am loved by my

  511. Father and I have a purpose from God on this earth.

  512. So even though this is my reality, it is not

  513. my mentality.

  514. I hope this is helping somebody.

  515. You can be in a situation that is the worst

  516. of the worst of the worst, but you have to

  517. remind yourself of what the word of God has been

  518. spoken of over your life, and you have to stand

  519. on that word even when all your circumstances are saying

  520. the contrary. Joseph never took on the mentality of what

  521. was happening to him. Hated, He never felt hated, even

  522. though he was hated, betrayed. He never let that become

  523. his narrative. Pitted, he never let that become his narrative. Enslaves,

  524. he never let that become his narrative. Being told he

  525. was a rapist, he never let that become his narrative.

  526. Forgotten for two years. He never let that become his narrative.

  527. Whatever the situation was, he was still like, I'm a

  528. child of God. I'm a child and favored of my father,

  529. and it doesn't matter what you say, say about me

  530. to me, or put me through, It'll never change what

  531. I know is on the inside of me. I think

  532. this is a good place for me to explain what

  533. plot armor is. Plot armor is a term that I

  534. think is specifically assigned to gen Z. I never knew

  535. what this word meant until my sons were talking one day.

  536. My sons are.

  537. Into anime, and they're into all of these different type

  538. of cartoons, and they would say things like, oh, my goodness,

  539. that person has plot armor, and I'd be like, what

  540. is that? And they'd be talking about another scene. They'd

  541. be like, oh, dude, that dude should have been there,

  542. but he.

  543. Got plot armor. So I had to go look it up.

  544. Whenever my sons use something I don't know, I have

  545. to go google it because I refuse to.

  546. Be left out.

  547. It doesn't have to become part of my vocabulary, but

  548. I will indeed figure out what they are talking about.

  549. Let me tell you what plot armor means. I don't.

  550. After I explain this, I think a hundred of y'all

  551. gonna lose y'all.

  552. Minds, Can I tell you what plot armor is.

  553. Plot armor is when the author of the narrative deems

  554. a character so important that even though there's situations and

  555. circumstances that come up that should have killed them, because

  556. the author deems that this person needs to live because

  557. he has a purpose for him later.

  558. In the story.

  559. If they get shot, they can't die. If they get

  560. lied on, they can't get in trouble. If they fall,

  561. they gotta get back up. If they go down, God's

  562. got to bring them out. And when I saw the

  563. definition of plot armor, Charles, I said to myself, now,

  564. wait a minute. If that is the reality of what's

  565. going on in anime, I've already received too many scriptures

  566. in the Word of God that let me know that

  567. I've had plot armor the moment he spoke.

  568. Me into it.

  569. Do I got anybody that's getting the revelation that there's

  570. a plot armor on my life? Because I should have

  571. died when I went through what I went through last year.

  572. I should have lost my mind when I went through

  573. what I went through. But God must still have a

  574. purpose from me because I'm still high five at least

  575. three people, and tell him.

  576. I'm still here. I'm still here. I'm still here.

  577. The enemy tried to take me out, but I'm still here.

  578. The enemy tried to wipe me out, but I'm still here.

  579. The enemy tried to find me out, but I'm still here.

  580. The enemy tried to blind me out, but I'm still

  581. I'm still here. I'm still here with nothing around me,

  582. I'm still here with everybody against me, I'm still here

  583. in front of my haters, I'm still here, portrayed by

  584. my family.

  585. I'm still here. I'm still I'm still here.

  586. I gotta have the plot armor of the Holy Ghost,

  587. because there's no way being sexually abused at the age

  588. of eight.

  589. I'm not making that up now, that's my life.

  590. There's no way I should have been sexually abused at

  591. the age of eight and still here. Poor an addicted

  592. and still here. Low self esteem, still here, suicidal ideation,

  593. still all of hell has to be scratching their head

  594. when they look at you, like we threw everything at her,

  595. but she's still. We threw everything at him, but he's still.

  596. How are you still? There's no way you should be still.

  597. Joseph becomes second in command to Pharaoh, and he understands

  598. he has plot armor. He knew, hated, This wasn't gonna

  599. be the end of this story. He knew betrayed. This

  600. can't be the end of my story. He knew in

  601. the pit, this can't be the end of my story.

  602. He knew when he got sold into slavery. Can't beat

  603. into my story. But Joseph, it's your reality. It's my reality,

  604. but it's not the end. I wish a hundred people

  605. really got that. It's your reality, but it's not the end.

  606. I'm going through. So I'm twenty three, says Yay. I

  607. walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death. I

  608. will fear no evil for thou art. Here's the key, Yay,

  609. do I go. This is a real prophetic jessh somebody

  610. do this to do it again, Do this one more time.

  611. Do this.

  612. That's what you're going through.

  613. I know it's the reality of your situation, but you're going.

  614. I'm not staying here, but I am going.

  615. I'm gonna take pictures of what.

  616. It looks like so when I get out, I can

  617. show you what I made it. The devil is a lie.

  618. I don't live at this address. I'm just going I

  619. came up in poverty, but I came up. Yes I

  620. was abused, but that's just something.

  621. That I went.

  622. Joseph is second in command to his brothers, I mean

  623. second in command to Pharaoh, and the family gets so

  624. bad that his brothers show up. His brothers have to

  625. come down to the place that he ended up based

  626. on what they did. And when they get down there,

  627. Joseph has changed so much that he recognizes them, but

  628. they don't recognize him. Can I just say, you don't

  629. have to look like what you've been through. I don't

  630. know who I'm talking to in here, but you don't

  631. have to look like what you've been through.

  632. I want your testimony.

  633. To be so plot armored that when you tell it,

  634. people don't even believe you. Will you give your testimony,

  635. people are gonna say, stop lying. You didn't go through

  636. all that. You're making some of that up. You don't

  637. look like what you've been through. Who I'm trying to quit?

  638. Joseph got there, his brothers arrived.

  639. He knew them, they didn't.

  640. Know him, and they couldn't descern that it was him

  641. because he was speaking a different language than them. He

  642. spoke to them through an interpreter, Joseph got down to

  643. Egypt and learned a different language because the different language

  644. that he learned was important to the next level of

  645. promotion in his life. I don't know who I'm preaching to,

  646. but God is saying He's trying to teach you a

  647. different language because of the promotion he wants you to

  648. go into.

  649. You can't stay.

  650. I know you from the hood, and I know you

  651. like keeping it real. But God's trying to teach you

  652. a different language so you can get promoted in the

  653. place that he wants to put you into. I firmly

  654. believe the text us and say this, but I firmly

  655. believe if somebody would give me the theological of freedom,

  656. I firmly believe that Joseph's only reason for the two

  657. years stretch was for him to be fluent in the

  658. Egyptian tongue so that when he interpreted Pharaoh's dream, he

  659. didn't have to interpret it through a translator, because the

  660. translation could have given a Pharaoh the off putting idea

  661. of like, oh, this is just some Hebrew dude that

  662. interprets dreams. But because he submitted to the place he

  663. was in and he never changed the mentality that he had.

  664. He said, oh, you need me to learn this new language.

  665. Okay o, lah MOUI b in comstas being beneath those

  666. win Us, not just win us thought of this man

  667. that better than all I thought those. I mean, they

  668. didn't speak Spanish over there. But I'm just saying, that's

  669. the language I'm learning because God has an assignment for

  670. me in Latin America, and I'm gonna be fluent in

  671. this language so I can be promoted to do the

  672. same thing I've been doing in English in North America

  673. and in English speaking territories. I will be in Latin America.

  674. Are they in Latino America? That's son, that's me bro

  675. bro pi pro pisito my purpose that word. I have

  676. class on Monday, y'all. Chill got two years, give me

  677. two years. He saw them, they didn't see him, and

  678. he put them through a series of tests. I don't

  679. have time to talk about that. But then it just

  680. got too overwhelming. He realizes that his brother Benjamin was

  681. still alive. He realized his Daddy was still alive. He

  682. couldn't take it anymore. He kicked everybody out except his brothers,

  683. and he told his brothers who he was and his

  684. brothers lost it. We did all that to you and

  685. you still here. We thought you was gonna die in

  686. that pit. We sold you into slavery. We had an

  687. obituary for you in our hearts. We even repented to

  688. ourselves even after the fact. We knew he did wrong,

  689. but we knew you were dead. And Joseph is like,

  690. I had too much plot armor to be dead. Baby,

  691. Do you actually think that you were behind this situation?

  692. Here's what's she says, That's why I read you forty

  693. five verses seven and eight, because Joseph literally looks at

  694. him and he says, Hey, I just gotta let you

  695. know you ain't the one that sent me down here.

  696. This is how you know that he never changed his

  697. inner narrative. This how you know a negative inner narrative,

  698. never compromised what.

  699. God had purpose and planned in.

  700. His life, because he literally says, you didn't bring me

  701. down here. The Lord brought me down here, and the

  702. Lord brought me down here to save your life. He

  703. was never bitter with them, He was never petty with them,

  704. He was never vindictive with them, because if you're bitter, petty,

  705. and vindictive, God can't bless anybody but you. But when

  706. you choose to have a heart that's opened and a

  707. heart that forgives people, even that despitefully tried to use

  708. you and terminate you, God says, I can now open

  709. up the windows of heaven and pour you out of blessing.

  710. Not only you don't have room to receive, but nobody

  711. else will round you can receive it.

  712. Joseph says, you didn't send me down here.

  713. The Lord did. And I had enough plot armor to

  714. deal with everything that was thrown at me between seventeen

  715. and thirty.

  716. And now here's what I want you to know.

  717. Go get the rest of the family, because my blessing

  718. is not just for me and my kids. You want

  719. to know why God gave me as much plot armory

  720. as he gave me, Because he wants me to be

  721. a blessing to generations. God just don't want me to

  722. be a blessing to my kids. He wants me to

  723. be a blessing to my kids, my kids, kids, my

  724. kids kids kids, You, your kids, your kids, kids, kids.

  725. Everybody's getting blessed. God didn't send you down here. God

  726. sent me down here. He just took what you planned.

  727. This is Genesis fifty twenty.

  728. He took what you planned. Because this is what I

  729. love about Joseph.

  730. Even though he's forgiven them, he doesn't allow that to

  731. change the reality of what they did and how.

  732. They did it. He said, yes, what you did.

  733. Was meant for evil, and I love how it's translated

  734. into TLV because there's no butt there, there's a period.

  735. What you planned was absolutely Diabola Cault period.

  736. But God also had a plan now from the hood.

  737. And in the hood, we used to play a game

  738. called big Bank Tank Little bank, and big Bank Tank

  739. Little bank. Was basically like a little petty gambling game,

  740. and it was basically like who got more money We

  741. gonna were about to find out. Okay, So here's what

  742. Joseph was saying to his brothers. You had a plan,

  743. so cute tried to kill me, kill me in a pit,

  744. some me into slavery.

  745. But God had a plan. And if you weigh the plans, like.

  746. Your plan versus God's plan, God looked at what you

  747. did when you threw me in the pit and said, oh,

  748. you thought the pit would cause a problem. This pit

  749. was a propeller for purpose.

  750. I'll raise your pit cause this big bank take a

  751. little bit.

  752. I'll raised your plan by my plan, and let's see

  753. who plan works. So do everything that you're going to do,

  754. because everything you do, I have a plan on top

  755. of the plan that you had for this man. And

  756. what you saw at the end of Joseph's life was

  757. a man who was never jaded by the experience he

  758. went through to get to the place that he saw

  759. in his dream when he was seventeen. And we've already

  760. done enough shouting in this service to last us until

  761. next week. So I feel no pressure to end this

  762. or some we already did that.

  763. My assignment was to come after your inner narrative.

  764. This is not even about what the enemy's doing in

  765. your life. It's about the story you're telling yourself. What

  766. are you telling yourself about this season of your life.

  767. God has abandoned me. God forgot about me. Nobody loves me.

  768. He's left me out here. He's sent me through all

  769. of this.

  770. I can't tell you how many people have the craziest

  771. in the narratives that God is the one that made

  772. them go through stuff.

  773. It's not the truth, but God can use it. He

  774. can repurpose the plans of the enemy.

  775. But God's not putting you through some American ninja obstacle course.

  776. To see if you had faith.

  777. No, you just live in a life, and some people's

  778. lives are more difficult than others.

  779. But to say that God is just up.

  780. There life, I just choose you to go through a

  781. bunch of hell. Now we're going through stuff, but that

  782. doesn't mean that stuff has to.

  783. Go through us.

  784. Yes, I was sexually abused. I don't live my life

  785. as one that's been a used. That's not the inner

  786. narrative I tell myself. Yes I had a porn addiction.

  787. I do not live my life every day thinking about

  788. a porn addiction. I have low self esteem. I don't

  789. live my life every day talking about just go to

  790. low self esteem.

  791. Now, these are things I've been through.

  792. It doesn't define who I am before the foundations of

  793. the world. God called me to be his son. Hear me,

  794. not a preacher, not a pastor, not an apostle, a son.

  795. He didn't call me to give me a position.

  796. He called to give me a place, and my place

  797. as a son trumps any position that He could ever

  798. give me. All those positions are temporary. Who I am

  799. is his son, and I've been able to resist the

  800. reality of my situation because of the mentality. I got

  801. too much plot on her. It's a bad season we're

  802. going through, but we're going through it. It's a bad

  803. thought I'm having, But it's just a bad thought i'm having.

  804. I am not what I am thinking. I am not

  805. where I.

  806. Am, I am not what I currently have to do.

  807. I'm going through.

  808. I hope this just.

  809. Gives a new meaning to when somebody tells you I'm

  810. just going through something right now, get happy for them. Oh,

  811. I'm so happy you didn't stop. Oh my god, I'm

  812. so happy you didn't stop. You still going through. Yeah,

  813. I'm still going through.

  814. I'm so happy you still going through.

  815. You didn't stop, you didn't make that place your permanent address.

  816. I'm so happy you still going through.

  817. But it's been two years. So happy you still going through.

  818. You know, God ain't gonna leave you right there. You

  819. know you're gonna be on the other side of this

  820. thing at some point, but you're still going Put your

  821. hand on your chest and just say I got plot armor.

  822. Say it again, Say I got plot armor. Say it

  823. with attitude. I got plot armor.

  824. I'm built to go through this. What I've been through,

  825. should have already killed me. The fact that I'm still

  826. here means I got too.

  827. Much plot armor.

  828. There's too much purpose that he still has on my life.

  829. There's too much that he still wants me to do

  830. in the earth.

  831. When it's over, it's over, But.

  832. The fact that it's not over means that there's still

  833. something that he.

  834. Wants me to do. I got plot armor, and so do.

  835. You.

  836. I want this to be for somebody that's in this

  837. room that has not given their life to Jesus Christ.

  838. You might be watching online. You have not given your

  839. life to Jesus Christ, but you rock with us, like

  840. you like what we do. You like y'all cool.

  841. I'm not down with all that.

  842. I don't know what y'all was doing all that shouting for,

  843. But like, I need to give my life to Jesus,

  844. and I need to give my life to Jesus because

  845. I can't act like it's been me that survived all this.

  846. There's been someone greater at work behind the scenes. I'm

  847. not that smart, I'm not that street smart. I'd be

  848. making moves, but I could not have made all the

  849. moves I've made to be where I am right now.

  850. This has to be the work of someone greater, and

  851. it has been. It's been the Lord. He's the one

  852. you should have been. He's the one you should have

  853. lost your mind. He's the one that has kept you saying,

  854. kept you here, kept you in your right mind. I

  855. know it's been rough, but God's given you enough plot

  856. armor to make it through. If you are here under

  857. the sound of my voice, and you have never given

  858. your life to Jesus Christ, and you're like today's day,

  859. I need to give my life to Jesus. I just

  860. want you to stand to your feet. I'm one of

  861. those guys that we're not raising your hand and stand

  862. up if you really want to give your life to Jesus, Like,

  863. just take a stand for Jesus Christ. Say I want

  864. him in my life, and I want to step into

  865. the plot armor that God has for me. I see you,

  866. I see you, I see you. Anybody else I need

  867. to give my life to Jesus right now, right now.

  868. Just stand right where you are.

  869. I'm not gonna have for you to come up, but

  870. wherever you are, just stand, because if you can't stand here,

  871. you can't stand out there.

  872. Just stand.

  873. I need to give my life to.

  874. Jesus right now.

  875. Now listen, If you are around somebody that's standing, I

  876. just want you to stand alongside them. I want them

  877. to know that they're not alone. If you're to the

  878. left of the right of that person, would.

  879. You just stand right next to them, because I want

  880. them to.

  881. Know that they're not alone. That God.

  882. Has you surrounded.

  883. From the time you stood up, you already had support.

  884. From the time that you stood up, you were already

  885. in a family. From the time that you stood up,

  886. there was already a purpose and a plan that God

  887. had for your life. You might be watching from home,

  888. you could just be standing. Maybe you were laying in

  889. the bed the whole time you were watching them. To

  890. just stand up right in the living room, right where

  891. you are, and we just just repeated this after me,

  892. and let's say it as a family, shall we? Dear God,

  893. I admit I've made mistakes. I admit I need a savior.

  894. I asked that you change my heart to change my motives.

  895. I believe you lived, you died, and you rose again

  896. just for me. Please change me, renew me, and transform me.

  897. I'm yours in Jesus' name. I pray Amen. Can we

  898. clap our hands. For those that just came into the family, Oh,

  899. come on, you can do better than that. The Family

  900. of God just got bigger. Somebody just decided to live

  901. a transform life.
