Welcome to Transformation Church Podcast, where we represent God to
-
the lost and found for transformation in Christ. We're so
-
glad you're here, and wherever you're listening from, we believe
-
God will transform your life through today's message.
-
We're going to open up our Bibles today to the
-
book of Isaiah 55 and 11. God, it's going to
-
be that kind of Sunday. All right, all right. Isaiah 55.
-
55 and 11. As a customary, I believe that anything
-
that God exalts above his name, we should stand for.
-
So can we stand for the word of God today?
-
Isaiah 55 and 11 says, so shall my word be
-
that goes forth from my mouth. It shall not return
-
to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please
-
and it shall prosper in the things for which I
-
sent it. Let's jump, because I believe God always confirms
-
his word in the New Testament. Can we jump to Acts,
-
the second chapter, and we'll read from the 15th to
-
the 17th. I'll give about two seconds for those that
-
use your Bible. I know some of y'all got your phones.
-
You can get it instantaneously, but I'm going to give
-
some time for those that's flipping through the pages real quick.
-
Can we thank God for this worship team as well?
-
My God. I almost forgot I had to preach today.
-
I almost forgot. All right. Acts, the second chapter in
-
the 15th verse says, this is Peter talking to the
-
people that think they're crazy. He says, he says, for
-
these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it's only
-
the third hour of the day. Yeah, we're supposed to
-
be praying right now, and that's exactly what we're doing.
-
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel.
-
Watch this. Let's go to the next verse. It says,
-
and it shall come to pass in the last day,
-
says God, that I will pour out my spirit on
-
all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your
-
young men shall see visions and your old men will
-
dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. Your old
-
men will see dreams. I want to talk to you
-
today As a subject, it was all a dream. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
It was all a dream. If you can just have
-
a flashback of what God has promised you and some
-
of you, you're looking so much forward to what God
-
is going to do in your life. But if you
-
could just remember back when you didn't know that you
-
would be here right now, and if you look back
-
over the course of the path God has taken you through,
-
and you're saying, I'm actually stepping in things that I
-
heard from 20 years ago. It was all a dream,
-
but God brought that thing into reality. If you could
-
just pause and say, thank God for the one that
-
gives the dream and walks me through it and presents
-
me as a living testimony of his power. Can you
-
just say, it was all a dream. We're going to pray. Father,
-
thank you for this day. It is a day that
-
you have made and we will always rejoice and be
-
glad in it, God. We thank you. We don't take
-
lightly that you show up. Some places don't know what
-
it's like for the manifested presence of God, but here
-
we are lucky enough that you would show up here
-
in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And God, I'm asking that you would
-
just continue doing what it is that you're doing. Let
-
your weight fall in this room in a way that
-
cannot be denied. I've done the studying that I can do,
-
but where I am limited, I ask that you would
-
anoint me beyond my limitations. I pray that I would
-
have the tongue of a ready writer that would speak
-
only the words. that you have spoken through me. God,
-
there's somebody that's looking through the glass of their life
-
and they feel like they're on empty. They feel like
-
they don't have hope. They don't have a dream. And God,
-
I'm asking you that through this word that you would
-
breathe life back into them, that you would breathe hope
-
back into your people, that they would know that a
-
God who has begun the work is able and he
-
will complete it. We love you. We bless your name.
-
And as I pray always, Holy Spirit, would you set
-
me on fire so the whole world can watch me
-
burn for you? It's in Jesus' name we pray. Everybody said? Amen. Amen. Say,
-
it was all a dream. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was
-
all a dream. I want to give you as my
-
main thought. So if you don't hear me say anything
-
after this, I want you to leave with this. This
-
is what I want you to leave with. A dream
-
is God giving you a memory of a future that
-
you haven't lived yet. If I don't say anything else,
-
I preached enough right there. A dream is God giving
-
you a memory of a future that you haven't lived yet.
-
It's a memory to God because he does not live
-
in time. He does not live in time. He is
-
not bound by time. So when he speaks a thing,
-
it is automatically happened in eternity. But when it comes
-
to the earth, it takes some time for that word
-
to develop. And so the memory that the dream that
-
God gives you has already happened in the spirit, but
-
the earth has got to catch up to what he's
-
already said. Are you following me? And so I want
-
you to know dreams are a tool of kingdom communication.
-
Whenever God wants to speak to a person, when he
-
wants to warn somebody, challenge somebody, correct somebody, redirect somebody,
-
he will oftentimes use a dream. Now, I want to
-
help unpack some things. God doesn't just give dreams to
-
church folks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know sometimes we want
-
to coddle these things ourselves, but see, God chooses who
-
he wants to give a dream to. He may give
-
a dream to people of God. He may even give his,
-
he may give a dream to people who are enemies
-
of his plan. The reason why I know that is
-
in Genesis 20 and three, he says to Abimelech, hey,
-
you are as good as dead if you put your
-
hands on Sarah because she has, she's playing a role
-
in the promise that I'm going to do through Abraham.
-
So the first time we ever see dream, it's not
-
God giving a vision to To his people. It's giving
-
it to somebody that's an enemy. I'll get there in
-
a second. But I want to talk more about 17
-
chapters later in Genesis 37 where he gives Joseph a dream. Yeah,
-
he gives Joseph a dream. Now, in the first half
-
of that, this Hebrew definition has two sides to it.
-
The first side of the definition means a nocturnal vision,
-
meaning it happens at night or a divine message. But
-
then when we get to Genesis 37, when it comes
-
to Joseph, God then expands the definition, meaning it means
-
to become healthy. It means to recover, and it becomes
-
to be made firm and to be made strong. Now,
-
if I could just sum all of what I just
-
said in this moment into one sentence, I want you
-
to know that God's dream is for you to become
-
the enemy's worst nightmare. Yeah, because the thought of you
-
having a future is a nightmare to the enemy. The
-
thought of you recovering what you lost is a nightmare
-
to the enemy. The thought of you being better than
-
where you were before is a nightmare to the enemy.
-
God is such a gangster. He will give a vision
-
to the devil and say, hey, you remember that person
-
you stole and killed and thought you destroyed? They're still alive.
-
And not only that, they're going to be better after this.
-
It's a nightmare. to the enemy. I just need somebody
-
to say, I'm the devil's worst nightmare. Yeah, yeah. That's
-
why God brought me here on the earth, not to
-
make friends with people, not to be negotiating with the devil,
-
but when I come in the room, it's the devil's
-
worst nightmare. Not because of me, but because who lives
-
on the inside of me. And if you know that
-
the devil tried to do everything that he could to
-
stop your dream from becoming a reality, but you're still
-
here right now, can you holler back at me? and
-
let me know that you know that you are the
-
devil's worst nightmare. If he couldn't deal with me before, then... Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
-
If he thought I was dead back then, then he
-
has no idea because I haven't even seen yet what
-
God's about to do in me. So if you're scared
-
of me now, then you... Okay. All right. So God's
-
intention of the dream... is to reveal to the enemy
-
that you are his worst nightmare. The prophecy was given
-
in the book of Joel, and it shows up in
-
Acts 2 and 17. It says, your sons and your
-
daughters shall prophesy, your young men will see visions, and
-
your old men shall dream dreams. I want to unpack
-
the word old here, because some of my saints get
-
on me when I be saying my old saints, they
-
don't like it. But I want you to know old
-
is a blessing. Amen. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
Old is a blessing. And I want to also point
-
out in this moment, this word old doesn't just pertain
-
to age. No, this word old means to spiritual leadership. Yeah,
-
this word old goes to spiritual authority. Watch this, the
-
spiritually mature. And so I got to be honest for
-
a second. You know me. I got to ruffle some
-
feathers because that's what the word is supposed to do.
-
It's supposed to convict us. I'm a little frustrated with
-
the old that the scripture is talking about because the
-
scripture says it's been prophesied that the old shall dream dreams.
-
And the reason why we are in the situation that
-
we're in right now is because the church has stopped dreaming. Yeah,
-
the reason why the government is in chaos is because
-
the church has stopped dreaming. The reason why the communities
-
are at war with each other is because the church
-
has stopped dreaming. Okay. It's going to be that kind
-
of Sunday. It's going to be that kind of Sunday.
-
The reason why we see and we are blindsided by
-
natural disasters and things happening in the earth and we're
-
caught by surprise is because the church has stopped dreaming.
-
so I want to give you an opportunity to make
-
yourself aware that up to this moment it's been it's
-
been on me that I I haven't spoke on behalf
-
of the kingdom But today is the day that I
-
make a decision to be the mouthpiece that God has
-
called me to be. Now, I'm not talking about, if
-
you're talking about a dream for your new car, I'm
-
not talking to you right now. It says spiritually mature.
-
If you believe in God for a house, that's awesome.
-
But I'm not talking about that dream. If you believe
-
in God for a bay and a boo and a spouse,
-
that's beautiful. I'm not talking to you right now. But
-
for those that want a dream that says, God, I
-
want to be in alignment with what's happening in the
-
heavenly realm. I want to see it in the earth.
-
If that's your heart's cry, then somebody shout at me, God,
-
give me a dream. God, I want a dream that
-
when you speak it, it causes things to realign in
-
my family. God, give me a dream. Give me a
-
dream that'll save my whole bloodline. God, give me a dream.
-
Give me a dream that will cause redemption to happen
-
in Tulsa. God, give me. God, give me. God, give me.
-
Can you just wave your hands in the room and say, God,
-
give me a dream. I don't want to just come
-
to church and thank you for blessings. I need a
-
dream that scares the devil. I want a dream that
-
scares me. I want a dream that says, God, are
-
you sure you want me to do this? I want
-
a dream that makes me scared because I got to
-
be dependent on the one that gave me the dream. Ooh,
-
I feel God right here. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. God says,
-
I'm about to pour out my spirit. If for those
-
who want it, you can receive it. I'm about to
-
give you a dream that scares you because it don't
-
look like who you are right now. You think God
-
has been done with you for the old saints. You
-
think God has done with you, but God says, your
-
old men, and that's not men, that's also mankind, shall
-
dream dreams. God says, I'm giving you permission to dream again.
-
Forget your disappointment. I'm giving you permission to dream again.
-
Forget about what the bank says. We don't have the
-
amount to cover for. I'm giving you permission to dream again.
-
All right. Now, I got to keep going. I want
-
you to understand dreams are destinations, meaning dreams are not
-
meant to stay in your mind.
-
Yeah.
-
I'm about to get on some people who like to dream.
-
I'll get there in a minute. But dreams are not
-
meant to just stay in your mind. If a dream
-
stays a dream in your mind, then it becomes delusion.
-
And sometimes, if I could be honest, sometimes we come
-
to church and we live in Delululand because we know
-
what God has told us, but we put it on
-
hold and we're living in what he promised us and
-
not willing to help walk it out. And so I
-
want you to understand any dream that remains a dream
-
in the invisible world, but you still acting like it's
-
happening right now and you haven't done the necessary actions
-
to see it come to reality, then I tell you
-
it is delusion. But it don't have to stay that way.
-
I want to give you, there's a root. There's a
-
root to reality. Somebody say, there's a root to reality.
-
And I want to help escort you to getting out
-
of just falling in love with the dream, but I
-
want to escort you to what is reality. That means
-
whatever God has spoken, it is not just in the
-
invisible realm. It's just not in the internal realm, but
-
it's now showing up in the earthly realm. If you
-
are looking for God to do some things that he
-
has promised you, but you want to see it in
-
the land of the living, holler back at me. Because
-
David said, I would have fainted except I seen the
-
goodness of the Lord while I was yet in the
-
land of the living. I want you to know you
-
don't have to die to see some of the promises
-
that God has promised you. God says, I'm going to
-
bring heaven to you right here. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay.
-
So I want to walk you through the route to reality.
-
Number one. Number one. You ready? If you're from my
-
note takers, the first thing you've got to do is
-
you've got to receive the dream. Somebody say receive the dream.
-
I'm going to need production to help me a little
-
bit because when you're about to receive a dream, you
-
got to set the right environment. So can we do
-
that real quick? Can we just set the environment for
-
receiving a dream? You know when you're about to shut
-
down everything and you go into night mode on your
-
phone and things get nice and dark because you want
-
to prepare. You want to set the table. You want
-
to set the environment because the environment matters when you're
-
about to go into rest. I'm preaching, but you're missing it. See,
-
some of you don't even realize God designed sleep for
-
you to understand how he talks to you. Okay, you
-
need help. Okay, so in the natural realm, when it
-
comes to sleep, there's four stages of sleep. Yeah, there's
-
four stages. The first stage is called light sleep. Light
-
sleep is the ability where you close your eyes, basically,
-
and you begin to start to tune out the actual
-
world around you. But you are not deep enough in
-
the sleep to receive a dream. Yeah, you can easily
-
be interrupted, whether it be a sound on the phone
-
or the TV just a little bit too loud, or
-
even you have the ability to wake yourself up. So
-
the first stage is a light sleep, but it's not
-
deep enough for a dream. The second level is a
-
part where your heart rate and your temperature begins to
-
go down. Typically, people spend 45% of their sleep in
-
this area, but it's not deep enough for a dream.
-
The third one, the third one is called stage three.
-
Stage three is where you go into a deep slumber.
-
Deep slumber. Now, what happens in this one, and this
-
gets preached to me, because in this area in stage three,
-
the tissues that have been torn are being rebuilt. Rebuilt. Oh, God.
-
And the muscles that have been stretched, they are now
-
being developed. So you're getting stronger and you're healing through
-
this stage. But then there's not enough to get a dream.
-
You're not easily interrupted in the third, but you got
-
to go a little bit deeper. Somebody says go a
-
little deeper. You got to go to what is called
-
REM sleep. Oh, yeah. REM sleep is stage four where
-
you go to sleep and your eyes begin to open
-
from the inside and they blink so fast that they
-
begin to create vivid visions on their own. So it's
-
almost like the body is creating its own reality even
-
though you're asleep. That's in the natural and so it
-
is in the spiritual. See, your body needs sleep but
-
your spirit needs rest. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. To get
-
a dream, the body needs REM sleep. But to get
-
a dream from the Lord, your spirit needs rest. You
-
need rest. That's why the scripture says, come unto me,
-
all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I
-
will give you rest. The word rest in that text
-
means spiritual refreshment. If you need spiritual refreshment, holler back
-
at me for a moment. Let me know I'm not
-
talking to myself. See, spiritual refreshment. Now, see, this is
-
why the enemy tries to attack you. He ain't trying
-
to steal your joy. He's trying to keep you busy.
-
Because he knows if you get to that level of
-
rest where God can talk to you, then all the
-
answers that you need are in that depth of rest.
-
And some of you haven't received a dream because you
-
haven't gone deep enough in rest. You haven't gotten deep
-
enough in peace. You got to be so deep in
-
this thing that people talking about you can't interrupt your
-
rest in the presence of God. You don't care about
-
the bills. You don't care about what people have said.
-
You don't care about your past failures or your shame
-
because you're so deep enough in your peace, so deep
-
enough in your dream state, so deep enough in the
-
peace of God that things that are around you don't
-
bother you. And I just need to prophesy to some
-
people who've been having trouble sleeping. Yeah, the enemy's been
-
antagonizing you with anxiety. He's been antagonizing you with worry
-
and depression and thoughts of suicide. He's been keeping you
-
up all night. But God says after tonight, it's going
-
to be the best sleep you ever had because you're
-
about to find that rest is in the presence of God.
-
Rest for your soul. It's coming. Yeah. Rest for your mind.
-
It's coming. Rest for your family. Rest for your marriage.
-
Rest for your vision and your dream. God says, I'm
-
about to set the table. I want you to go. Listen, listen.
-
God says, I'm about to let you go to sleep
-
because when you go to sleep, it gives me permission
-
to work. If you look throughout the Bible, a lot
-
of times God will put the people into sleep so
-
that he can do what he really wants to do.
-
And so some of you trying to stay awake, you're
-
getting in the way of the hand of God. God says,
-
I'm not going to do this until you lay down
-
because I don't want it to be twisted. Who did this?
-
God says, I want you to look at your neighbor
-
and say, go to sleep. Go to sleep. Stop staying up. Stop.
-
You up more than anybody in the world. And you
-
forgot if he dresses the lilies, then how much does
-
he care about you? If he watches the sparrow, how
-
much is his mind on you? And you over here
-
getting in the way of what God wants to do
-
in your life because you're trying to assist him in
-
something you have no power in. So in the natural,
-
it requires you to go to sleep. In order for
-
you to get to REM sleep, your body has to
-
go to a passive state. You have to go to
-
a place where you're still, where you're not moving. That's
-
why fasting is important. You got to get to a
-
place where you're not moving. You got to stay still
-
and let God do what he's going to do. And
-
so some of you, you're going to go to sleep
-
and God's going to give you the dream. And he says,
-
when you wake up, what you went to sleep on
-
ain't going to look the same okay yeah yeah yeah
-
yeah Adam went to sleep and woke up with a
-
wife now I'm telling you you won't He just woke
-
up and God was like, while you were sleeping, this
-
is what I've been doing. I'm talking about Adam, but
-
I'm really talking about you because you think God can't
-
do it. And God going to say, while you were sleeping,
-
I got rid of that tumor. While you were sleeping,
-
while you were sleeping, all those bills have been covered.
-
While you were sleeping, I was working. God is a
-
God that slumbers no sleep. He says, I don't sleep,
-
so you can't. But I just need about 30 people
-
who've been struggling with sleep and you feel the presence
-
of God just beginning to rest on you. And you say,
-
I'm going to hand this thing over to God because
-
the battle ain't mine. The battle is the Lord's. So
-
he's going to do it while you were sleeping. That's
-
number one. Number two is you've got to speak the dream.
-
Don't fall in love with the dream so much that
-
you forget to wake up. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You got
-
to receive the dream, but that ain't it. Because see,
-
we shout over receiving the dream. We receive the vision
-
God has for us. We receive the promise, the prophecy,
-
whatever that is. But then we fall so in love
-
with that about what God's going to do. And God says,
-
when are you going to get up? My alarm clock
-
done went off already. It's 2026. You're supposed to do
-
this in 2024. When are you going to wake up?
-
You keep saying, yeah, God is leading me to do this.
-
God is calling me to do this. God has been
-
unctioning me to do this. And here we are in
-
another year, and you're about to write the same thing
-
down for 2027 because you haven't waken up yet. I
-
just need you to upset your neighbor next to you
-
and say, baby, it's time to wake up. It's time.
-
It's time to wake up. Lives are depending on you.
-
It's time to wake up. Time for you to wake up.
-
Time for you to wake up. Time for you to
-
wake up. It's time for you to wake up. Wake church,
-
wake up. TC, wake up. It's not enough to keep
-
prophesying what the church is. It's time to wake up.
-
So you got to speak the dream. And when it
-
comes to receiving a dream, if you need scripture, in Job,
-
if you remember, there was a moment where Job was
-
going through everything that he lost. I just want to
-
park and give you scripture. I don't want you to
-
think I'm making stuff up. In Job, on the first one,
-
if you remember in Job 33, 14 through 16, it says,
-
For God may speak in one way or in another,
-
yet man does not perceive it. In a dream, in
-
a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon
-
men while slumbering on their beds. Then he opens their
-
ears and seals their instruction. I just want you to
-
know that I didn't make that up. That was actually scripture.
-
God waits for some of y'all to go to sleep
-
so he can tell you what he's been waiting to
-
tell you. Y'all got it.
-
All right.
-
Now we got to speak the dream. We got to
-
speak the dream because nothing happens until something is spoken.
-
Yeah.
-
Yeah. I know you wish God would be your butler.
-
I knew it. I know. I know it would be
-
so much simpler if Jesus was Santa Claus, but he's not.
-
And so because of that, when he gives you a dream,
-
he expects you to speak what he said to you
-
back to him. Because you know why? Because to say
-
it back to him means that you are in agreement
-
with the thing God said. You need scripture. I got you.
-
Genesis 37 and 5 says, now Joseph had a dream
-
and he told. Let's just stop right there. Joseph had
-
a dream and he told. You don't tell unless you
-
actually believe what you were told. Now, the other part
-
of the scripture, I got to prepare you. I got
-
to prepare you. Speaking the dream causes you to now
-
know the individuals in your life, what role they're going
-
to play in it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
When you speak the dream, everybody ain't going to shout
-
about it.
-
No.
-
And I'm not just talking about the devil. He never
-
shouts about it. I'm talking about people that you grew
-
up with, that you thought would be excited that what
-
God spoke to you, you would be excited about. But
-
I need you to be prepared because, see, when God
-
speaks a thing, the earth begins to obey and begins
-
to take form. So your allies are going to be
-
in agreement with what God has said. But your adversaries
-
are going to be against you. Now, this is the
-
part that gets me happy because although they're against me,
-
they can only be in alignment to what God has said. No,
-
because see, some of you think your enemies can stop
-
the dream from, okay. Some of y'all think because of
-
who is against you that the dream won't come to pass.
-
I'm telling you through scripture and the revealing of Joseph's story,
-
it does not matter who's against you. They can't be
-
against the promise. Amen. The best thing they can do
-
is get in alignment to what God has said. I'm
-
about to get ahead of myself. So even if they
-
throw me in the pit, it's all right because it's
-
in alignment with the path that God has said. So
-
if you need scripture, you know, for we say this
-
all the time, for we know that all things work
-
together for the good. So that means all things is
-
inclusive of everything, exclusive of nothing. That means that the
-
good things and the bad things work together to get
-
me to what God has promised. I want you to
-
visualize that there's a conference call. And on the one
-
side of the table is good, and on the other
-
side of the table is bad. And they are figuring
-
out what they're going to do with you. And then
-
there's somebody at the middle of the table saying, whatever
-
y'all do, it's got to be for the good. So
-
your allies is on one side saying, we got to
-
do this for them and we got to do this
-
for them. And then the adversaries on the other side say, well,
-
we don't want to do that. We want to do
-
it this way and we want to prevent them from
-
doing that. And I think we can hinder them here.
-
And God is at the top of the table saying,
-
no matter what y'all do. If you ever been in
-
a meeting, this ought to get happy for you because
-
that means that God said, nothing can happen to you.
-
Without God knowing, it's going to work out for your good.
-
So sometimes when you're praying, sometimes you just need to
-
call bad on the other side and say, hey, I
-
just want to remind you, you still work for me. Hey,
-
I just called to let you know, I just got
-
word from God. I know what you're planning. I know
-
what you're plotting. I know what you're doing. But I
-
need to remind you, at the end of this, it's
-
got to work for my good. Ha ha ha. I
-
just got myself happy because I remember what the hater
-
said about me. But I just got to remind you,
-
you still work for me. I remember the heartbreak, but
-
I reminded it, you still work for me. I remember
-
the pain, but I reminded it, you still work for me. Hey,
-
oh yeah, you work for me. Somebody say, it's working
-
for you. You crying and it's working. You frustrated and
-
it's working. That's why I go to, nothing can stop. Listen,
-
my wife will tell you, I might be narcoleptic because
-
nothing get in the way of my sleep. But once
-
I realize who God was in my life, I just
-
fall asleep on anything. Hey, Roosevelt, I just want you
-
to know this is going on in your body. You laughing,
-
but I'm preaching. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You laughing, but I'm preaching.
-
God is looking for some of y'all like he was
-
on the boat. Do you care that we perish? I'm
-
sleeping because I know what the end result is going
-
to be. And I believe, God, that when I wake up,
-
it won't look the same. Okay. All right. I said
-
I would get us out of here in the time
-
I'm going to do it. Now we get to, oh, God.
-
Somebody's got to hold on to that word. It's working
-
for you. It's working. That lie, it's working for you.
-
The people making fun of you, it's working for you.
-
The job saying that they can't fund you no more,
-
it's working for you. The job letting you go after
-
all the years you put in, it's working for you.
-
It's working for you. So how would you sleep knowing?
-
I'm going to sleep like Elon Musk. It ain't my
-
job to figure out this stuff. Ain't that what I
-
paid you to do? Didn't God say that this is
-
going to end for my good? Then why am I
-
losing sleep over something? One, I got the God, the
-
CEO of all of this. He neither slumbers nor sleeps.
-
So why am I trying to compete with the God
-
that don't sleep? It's working for you. So some of
-
you are going to have to call some people and say, hey,
-
you tried to cut me off. But I want to
-
thank you. Yeah, I know you thought you was going
-
to break my heart, and I thought I would never
-
find love together, but I want to thank you. Because
-
you meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.
-
All right, I got to move. I got to move.
-
So God reminds the good and the bad that they
-
have to work for you. Number three is now we
-
live the dream. Closing. Kind of. So God gives us
-
the promise. We're excited about it. We're so excited about
-
it that we don't keep it on the inside. We've
-
got to speak this thing. Now it's time to live it. Now,
-
I want to go back to our key text today
-
of Isaiah 55. If we could pull that up on
-
the screen, I want to kind of tell you and
-
explain through illustration what this looks like. It says, so
-
shall my word be that goes forth from my mouth.
-
This is God. it shall not return to be void.
-
Let's park here. The God that you worship does not
-
live in the same restrictions that you do. So although
-
you're going through something that requires time, when God says it,
-
it's already done. He says, literally, God speaks a thing
-
from eternity. and automatically it shows up on the other
-
side as done. So God gives a promise on one
-
end and immediately what he promised on the other side
-
of eternity is presented. So you got the God of
-
the promise and you got the God of the presentation.
-
The God of the promise and the God of the presentation.
-
Now because our world can't handle Every single eternal word
-
that comes from God, he creates a process. Because the
-
earth cannot handle every word from God at one time.
-
I would venture to say that God could have created
-
everything in one day, but he had to teach us
-
the potency of process. The God that you serve, he
-
speaks a thing. This is why he had to even
-
say Lazarus come forth because his word's so powerful. If
-
he had just said come forth, probably everything in there
-
would have came out. And so you got to understand
-
that when God speaks, and we probably would have been running.
-
We probably wouldn't have been no more scripture because we
-
all would have left. All right. But I want you
-
to understand God is not confined to time. When he
-
speaks a promise, it is automatically presented. So you got
-
God of the promise and you got God of the presentation.
-
So the moment he says a thing in eternity, it's
-
already done. But because we live in the earth, you
-
don't believe what I'm saying. Thy kingdom come, thy will
-
be done on earth as it is in heaven. That
-
means when God says a thing from heaven, it already is.
-
Not that with things that might happen. No, let the
-
kingdom come on earth as it already is. So when
-
God speaks a thing in heaven, it is already done.
-
But because it's got to show up on earth and
-
the earth cannot withstand the power that is in your
-
father's mouth, we've got to go through what's called a process.
-
This is where we are. Now, typically, if I showed
-
you the path, when I think of the path from
-
promise to process to presentation, you would think it's a
-
straight line. God gives me a word. I'm going to
-
walk down to my process. It's going to be nice
-
and pretty. And then I'm going to end up here
-
at presentation. I know we all wish that a promise
-
of God looked exactly like that. But according to the
-
story of Joseph, that's not exactly how it goes. How
-
it goes with the story of Joseph is, is there's
-
a promise, God is speaking from eternity and it's already
-
done in the presentation and then Joseph's got to go
-
through the process. I wanna show you what the process
-
looks like. Process looks like, I see the word God's
-
promised me over there but everything around me is just dark.
-
And I've got to hold on to the word that
-
God gave me because his word is a light unto
-
my path and a lamp unto my feet. So here
-
we are. We're going to just kind of take this
-
moment to show you what walking by faith really looks like.
-
All right. His word is a light to my path.
-
and a lamp to my feet. I remember what he
-
promised me, and I think I'm going to follow this
-
light to get me to the presentation. On the count
-
of three, I'm ready. Let's go. Here we go. One, two, three, go. Wait. Wait,
-
the presentation is over there, Holy Spirit. Can't we just
-
go this way? Why are you going that way? Now,
-
you got a decision to make, people of God. Would
-
you rather risk walking in the dark not knowing how
-
to get there? Although you think you know how you
-
need to get there. Or are you going to let
-
the word of God be a light unto your path
-
and a limper to your feet? And so step by step,
-
I'm following the light. I don't know where this light's
-
going to take me. But with each step, now God,
-
I got to be honest. I feel like I'm getting
-
further away from the promise you gave me. Why are
-
we going this way? Can't we just go the other way?
-
It would be more advantage. I got people waiting. I
-
posted about it. Can't we just go that way? I
-
feel God right here. Some of you been arguing with
-
God and you're saying, God, what you promised me don't
-
look nothing like what I'm at right now. But you
-
got to understand God wants you to pick up some things.
-
On the way to what you're about to become, you've
-
got to understand God's not going to present you until
-
he's proven you. And so he stops me here at
-
the pit stop called peace. The peace I receive right
-
here is to say, I believe what God is saying
-
and I'm going to trust him on this path. Now,
-
let me help you before we start moving again. The
-
peace you have right now has got to last you
-
for the whole journey.
-
Oh, God.
-
The peace you're receiving when he gave you the promise,
-
it's got to be strong enough to carry you because
-
you have no idea where you're about to go. And
-
the Holy Spirit starts leading you yet again. And so
-
here we are moving again. And God, I feel like
-
things are getting a little down. Things are moving up.
-
a little slow to moving at a pace where I
-
feel like I could be doing this better on my own,
-
but I got to lean on him. I got to
-
trust and depend on him. I got to trust in
-
the Lord with all my heart and lean not to
-
my own understanding. And when the light's starting to move
-
a little too fast, I got to try to catch
-
up with the light because the light is my only
-
way to make it through. If I don't stay with
-
the light, then I'm going to get lost. If I
-
don't stay with the light, I'm going to be in
-
the dark. If I don't stay in the light, I'm
-
going to be lost. I got to stay with the light.
-
And God stops me again. He stops me here because
-
I need some faith right here. I need some faith
-
right here because when God spoke it, I feel like
-
I'm nowhere near what he said. And I got to
-
have faith to fuel me to say the same God
-
that gave me the promise is the same God that
-
he will not let me die until I get to
-
what he said. And so I say, God, I trust you.
-
You are dependent. You always show up. You never let
-
me fall. Foundation, I build my life on you. I
-
remember you never fail. And we start walking again. And
-
the light starts leading me. The light starts leading me.
-
And I'm taking the steps. I'm taking the steps. And
-
my friends stop calling me, but I got to keep
-
taking the steps. And And people have forgotten about me.
-
I feel like I got distant relatives now. I feel
-
like my friends have turned to enemies, but I got
-
to keep stepping. And I find myself in the middle
-
of a pit. Oh, God. I got myself stuck right
-
here in the middle of a pit. And so some
-
of you, you don't know what you need to pick
-
up here because you find yourself at the lowest point.
-
Yeah.
-
I'm talking about this, but I'm really preaching about my
-
own story. And when you find yourself in a pit,
-
something you got to hold on to is your prayer.
-
Some of you won't learn how to pray until you
-
get to a pit. So God, even though he gave
-
you the promise up there, you've got to trust him
-
in the middle of this pit. And so some of
-
you didn't become the intercessor that you are right now
-
had it not been for the pit. Some of you
-
ought to give God glory because you learned how to
-
pray in the pit. I learned how to praise in
-
the pit. I learned how to worship in the pit.
-
You know why I'm praying in the pit? Because I
-
know God won't let me die here. Whose word is this?
-
I'm talking to you. God's not going to let you
-
die in this pit. I know it's low right now,
-
but he who has begun the work, he's able to
-
complete it. You will live and not die. You will
-
live and testify the goodness of the Lord. While you're
-
yet in the land of the living. So I learned
-
how to pray in the pit. Ooh, God. God taught
-
me how to pray. It wasn't no now I lay
-
me down to sleep praise. No, I learned how to
-
pray in the Holy Ghost in the pit. I learned
-
how to speak a language that the devil don't understand.
-
I learned it in the pit. I learned how to
-
speak the word of God over my family life in
-
the pit. I learned how to trust in God with
-
all of my life and I learned it in the pit.
-
Who's right here right now? Holler at me. I says,
-
you will not die because if you die, then he's alive.
-
He says, my word is banking on this. He says,
-
when I give a word, it cannot return back to
-
me void. Now, this is the thing. If the dream dies,
-
then I will submit to you. It's not something God
-
promised you. Because, see, I thought football was going to
-
be my promise. I thought making millions and playing and
-
taking care of my family and playing every Sunday for
-
a professional football team, I thought that was going to
-
be my promise. And so only in the pit, the
-
only thing that's going to survive is the real promise
-
of God. So I had to have a funeral service
-
for everything I thought was me. I had to have
-
a eulogy for my own plans. I had to have
-
a eulogy for my own vision. I had to have
-
a eulogy for my own promise that I made over myself.
-
I know you feel like quitting, but trust him through
-
the pit and he's going to guide you out. And
-
so now we're walking yet again and God's leading. It's
-
leading God. And so what happens is now I start
-
to feel like I'm starting to come into the proximity
-
of the promise. I feel like I'm getting a little
-
closer with every step. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't
-
like the route God took me, but I now understand
-
if it wasn't for what he took me through, I
-
wouldn't be able to live this thing out. I would
-
have been like a seed that was thrown on the concrete.
-
I would have grew quickly, but I would have died
-
when the heat came on. And he stops you again.
-
And the next stop is you develop patience. Patience is
-
to say, God, I'm not where you promised me, but
-
I thank you for where you brought me. The only
-
reason why it's okay to look back, we're in the
-
year of four. The only time it's okay to look
-
back is when you're thanking God for how far he
-
brought you from.
-
Amen.
-
Because I really thought I was going to die in
-
that pit over there, but he brought me out. And
-
so I learned how to wait on God. Wait, I say,
-
on the Lord. They that wait on the Lord shall
-
renew their strength. I learned how to wait on him
-
at this stop. And God says, when you develop enough patience,
-
I want you to go a little further. He takes
-
you a little further. And you're following the light. It's
-
still dark. You see the promise. It feels like you
-
can almost touch it. You can almost touch the presentation.
-
You can almost touch the thing that God says, but
-
he's like, not yet. No, because I got to give
-
you some more things before you get there. And so
-
he makes you stop just a few more times, just
-
a few more times. He takes you to where you've
-
got to learn integrity. Yeah, a lot of people skip
-
right here. Because they see the promise real close. And
-
they say, oh, I could just skip God right here
-
because I see the path now. And then what happens
-
is you get to the position, but you can't stay
-
long because you ain't got no integrity. God says, I'm
-
taking you through this route. So when you're in the
-
position that I anoint you for, no one can move you.
-
Not the lives of people. not even the truth of
-
people can move you because of the integrity I've developed
-
on the inside of you. And so you stay with
-
God and he builds your character. He makes sure you're
-
the right person on and off the platform. He makes
-
sure that you're living a life that is holy and
-
pleasing unto him, that you present your body as a
-
living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto him, which is your
-
reasonable service. You learn how to be integrous And then
-
God leads you just a little bit further. And just
-
when you think you're about to approach the thing that
-
God has anointed you to walk into, he stops you
-
one more time. And you're like, Lord, why are we
-
stopping here? Slow down, Holy Spirit. It's right there. And
-
he wants you to grab one more thing. He wants
-
you to grab forgiveness. Because some of you are still
-
bitter in your heart for who decided to be an
-
adversary in your life. Some of you are mad at
-
the people who didn't call you when you was in
-
the pit. Some of you are going to want to
-
use when God elevates you as a time to step
-
on people that you thought forgot about you. And God says,
-
I can't trust you with the position until I know
-
that you know the only reason why I'm giving you
-
this position is to save lives. So to the person
-
that hurt me, I'm not even mad at you. To
-
the person that lied on me, I'm not even mad
-
at you. To the person that wrote me off and
-
said I was doing wrong and I know I wasn't
-
doing wrong, I'm not even mad at you. The person
-
that burnt my reputation, I'm not mad at you. Because
-
God is using this so that he can get the glory.
-
If you can hold on to forgiveness, God will trust
-
you with the presentation. The presentation is when God visibly
-
approves of you. Oh, God. This is the moment where
-
God says, this is my son and whom I'm well pleased.
-
This is my daughter and whom I'm well pleased. And
-
so now I'm in a place of presentation. Get this,
-
you know, I got to thinking about, I kind of
-
wanted to walk out the story of Joseph. And I
-
got to thinking to myself, I said, Holy Spirit, do
-
you know that we never know if the woman ever
-
came clean about Joseph? Y'all remember he was working at
-
Potiphar's house. Potiphar's wife was acting crazy. I ain't going
-
to get too much into it because I know we
-
got some kids in here. And because of this lie,
-
he goes to jail. And we don't ever know at
-
the end of the story was Joseph ever pardoned for
-
the lies that was told on him. I want to
-
give you this note before I close. Vindication from God
-
is weightier than exoneration from man. Listen, it don't matter
-
who was wrong about you as long as you know
-
God was right I don't care who was wrong about me.
-
I don't care the rumors they said about me. I'm
-
not even trying to defend the lies anymore. I don't
-
care who was wrong. I know God was right. So
-
I want to pray for you today. I kept my word.
-
I want to pray for you today. There's some of
-
you that have been having trouble sleeping You've tried all
-
the peels, all the thrills, all that stuff. And you've
-
been living in this place of anxiety. You've been listening
-
to me preach. And you say, Roosevelt, it makes sense now.
-
I got friends over at my house and I still
-
feel alone. I got money in the bank and I
-
still feel broke. I got friends and I still feel
-
lonely and I don't know what's going on. I can't
-
sleep at night. So I'm always up scrolling on TikTok.
-
I just don't, I don't have peace. I want you
-
to understand you will not have peace unless you know Jesus.
-
And Jesus is enough, because I know we create this
-
culture where it's like Jesus and sage, Jesus and Zodiac. No,
-
the scripture says that he says that I am the way,
-
the truth, and the life. No man comes to the
-
Father except by me. So every head bowed and every
-
eye closed. If you're in this room and you now
-
realize you've been living a restless life because you don't
-
have Jesus, and you're saying, I need Jesus in my life.
-
On the count of three, I want you to raise
-
your hand. One, two, three. I see your hand. I
-
see your hand. Wow, I see your hand. I see
-
your hand. I see your hand. Yeah, I see your hand.
-
I see your hand in the back. You know, Scripture
-
says that heaven rejoices over one soul. I just saw
-
six people raise their hands. When is the party going
-
to happen in the earth like it is in here?
-
You can put your hands down. God bless you. The
-
next person I want to pray for is, you know Jesus.
-
And you haven't been in a position because you've been
-
letting work get in the way. You've been letting people
-
get in the way. You've been letting doubt and fear
-
get in the way. And you haven't been able to
-
receive a dream from God. And you're saying, God, I'm
-
ready for that dream. The dream that's bigger than me.
-
I'm ready for that dream. If that's your heart's cry,
-
I want you to raise your hands on the count
-
of three. One, two, three. I see your hand. I
-
see your hand. I see your hand. I see your hand.
-
I see your hand. So hands are going up. You
-
can put your hand down. Last prayer call is I'm
-
going to pray for the one that's going through the
-
process of living the dream. And you are just about
-
this close to giving up on God because you're frustrated
-
that this looks nothing like what he promised me. I
-
don't know why I'm in Tulsa. It don't even make sense.
-
And every time I try to leave, it seemed like
-
every door just keep closing on me. And you in
-
that pit right now and you're saying, God, I just
-
need you to talk to me, to walk me through
-
this time in the pit while I'm on my way
-
to the platform of you presenting me. The scripture says,
-
humble yourself under the mighty hand of God so that
-
he may elevate you in due season. That's the word
-
of God. He's going to elevate you in due season.
-
But if that's your heart's prayer, you feel like you're
-
about to give up, I want you to raise your
-
hand on the count of three. One, two, three. See
-
your hand. See your hand. If you raise your hand
-
for any of those prayer calls, could you raise your
-
hand right there? Everybody. I want you to all lift
-
your head up and look around you and see how
-
not alone you are. Because that's what the enemy wants
-
you to believe. He wants you to believe that you'll
-
never recover. He wants you to believe that you'll never
-
be anything. He wants you to believe that you're in
-
this pit by yourself. But I want you to be
-
reminded that God is with you always. Even when the
-
Sunday service closes, God is with you always. So I
-
want to do one thing. I want us to all stand.
-
If we raised our hands, if we could stand together.
-
And even if you didn't, let's stand together. We want
-
to pray this prayer of salvation. Nobody prays alone. Can
-
we all lift our hands toward heaven? This is a
-
sign of surrender. This is a sign saying, God, I
-
give up my way for yours. I give up my
-
plan for yours. I was devastated when I thought football
-
wasn't going to be it because I was like, Lord,
-
there's no other way. I grew up in the hood.
-
There's no other way we can provide for a family
-
unless I play football. unless I'm a rapper, and I'm
-
not going to be a rapper. This is not going
-
to happen. This is not going to happen. Not going
-
to happen. I'll sing, but I'm not rapping. And God
-
told me, I'll never forget this. He said, remember my house, Roosevelt,
-
and I'll remember you. I didn't know what that meant.
-
I didn't know what that looked like, because you're thinking, oh,
-
become a pastor. No, I waited for when God would,
-
Give me those unctions to help out at the church.
-
And so wherever there was a need at a church,
-
I just showed up. And so I remember watching my
-
granddad cut the grass. And I was like, Lord, I
-
know you ain't telling me to open the lawn service.
-
That cannot. There's no way that my friend is going
-
to watch me thinking I'm going to play football and
-
think I'm going to just open a lawn service. That
-
is not happening. Holy Spirit said, I want you to
-
help him. And I walked to my granddad and said,
-
God told me that I need to help you. So
-
I said, okay. If you need me to do anything,
-
I'll help. He said, thank you, son. Can you cut
-
this grass for me? And I'm cutting the grass mad
-
in an unseen place like a pit. God, this don't
-
look nothing like what you promised. I'm cutting the grass
-
and there's a man across the street. He works for Pepsi. Pepsi.
-
And he has these case of Faygo's. If you're from
-
the hood, you know what a Faygo is. Hallelujah. Oh, glory.
-
And for no reason, anytime he saw me cutting that grass,
-
he'd call me to his house, and he'd give me
-
two cases to walk home to the projects to my mom. Now,
-
that didn't mean nothing to him, but he didn't know
-
that we didn't have no food. Remember my house. I'll
-
remember you. The drummer is not showing up to church.
-
And so for some reason, we don't have no drummer.
-
And God just keeps whispering, remember my house. I'll remember you.
-
And I started playing drums for the church and the
-
keyboard player left. And so God says, remember my house.
-
I don't know how to play keyboard, God. Remember my house.
-
I'll remember you. And so in three months, I teach
-
myself how to play the keyboard. Sitting with God with
-
a keyboard with double nine-volt batteries with no electricity in
-
the house. I'm telling you what I lived through. I'm
-
telling you what I went through in a hood with
-
no lights, a hood with no water. And all I
-
got is this keyboard with nine-volt batteries on the inside.
-
And I'm like, God, I don't even know what I
-
need this for. I don't know what I need this
-
keyboard for. It don't make sense. I need to provide
-
for my family. Remember my house. I'll remember you. I'll
-
never forget the first time I got my first check
-
playing keyboard for the church. It was $ 50. And they
-
took out the tie. Yeah. Yeah, they did. Because if
-
you're faithful over the little things... Because y'all think I
-
just showed up on the scene. I need you to
-
know that this has been years of trusting God when
-
it didn't look lucrative, when it didn't make sense, when
-
I didn't have water, when I didn't have lights. I'm
-
living the dream God promised me. And this dream is
-
so much before me. My mom wasn't supposed to have kids.
-
And the prophet came to her before she had her
-
first child and said, hey, I see your son. And
-
he's standing in front of thousands of people. He says,
-
he's standing in front of thousands of people. I can't
-
tell if he's singing or if he just did a
-
touchdown or if he's preaching, but the room is in
-
a riot. And she sat there and smiled and said,
-
She don't know I can't have kids. But she held
-
on to the dream. She had a first child. First
-
child is a woman. Girl. Had a second child. Second
-
child is a girl. And most people would just be
-
happy that they got a baby. But she said, I
-
know what I saw. I don't know who this is for.
-
But don't forget what you saw. December 31st, 1989, on
-
a Sunday, in the middle of a watch night service,
-
my mama water breaks. And she's leading the praise and worship.
-
The waters break. The preacher telling, hey, you need to
-
go call the doctor. You need to go ahead and
-
head out. But she won't stop singing and clapping. She said,
-
I'm not going nowhere until the paramedics get here because
-
I'm going to pray this promise out of me. The
-
doctors get me to the hospital and they say, ma'am,
-
we're so sorry because of complications. We don't know if
-
Roosevelt's going to make it. If he does somehow survive,
-
he won't ever be able to grow. He'll never be
-
able to speak. Isn't that crazy? But look what God
-
has done. I said all of that to say, and
-
we're closing, I promise you. Because I said I was
-
going to get you out. But I want you to know,
-
the promise had nothing to do with me. This was
-
long before I got here. I had no choice but
-
to be before you today, you know. And the only
-
way I got here was serving the Lord's house. I
-
remembered the Lord's house and he never forgot me. So
-
I just want to challenge you. Some of you guys
-
calling you to serve in a ministry, serve in a conference.
-
I want you to make the challenge to say, God,
-
I don't know what it is you need, but whatever
-
it is you need, I will meet that need. And
-
don't make it some drawn-out thing. Ask around, hey, how
-
can I help the church? How can I serve the church?
-
I'm telling you, remember God's house. I am living and
-
standing before you today, and I'm telling you, he'll remember you.
-
Let's lift our hands. I know I had your hands
-
up for a long time. I'm sorry. Repeat this prayer
-
after me. Father, I've heard your word. I receive it. Father,
-
I feel your presence. I embrace it. Thank you for Jesus.
-
Thank you for making him who knew no sin all
-
of mine. I admit I've fallen short. I've made some mistakes.
-
I've sinned, but I believe in my heart. that Jesus,
-
the son of a virgin, lived a sinless life and
-
died on the cross for me. But when he got up,
-
when he was raised from the dead, strong and victorious,
-
because he lives in me, And because I live in him,
-
I'm getting up too. I'm getting up with authority. I'm
-
getting up with promise. I'm getting up with power. Satan,
-
take your hands off my future. What God has spoken
-
cannot be reversed. Holy Spirit, Lead me. Guide me. Change me.
-
Transform me. My life is yours. In Jesus' name, somebody
-
shout amen. If you know hell lost another one, somebody
-
shout in this house today. Hallelujah. Welcome to the family.
-
If you made that declaration here or online, I want
