  1. Dear God, please help Joe.

  2. He seems to be in a lot of trouble.

  3. Father in heaven, I ask for your guidance for Joe Jones on this Christmas season.

  4. Oh Lord, please let there be something on TV tonight other than it's a wonderful light.

  5. It's so hard.

  6. Jesus.

  7. We pray for the Jones family.

  8. Comfort and console them as only you can.

  9. Dear God, please help my daddy.

  10. He is the best daddy in the whole world.

  11. And I love him so much.

  12. Oh, and God, I know there is no scriptural basis for this request, but can you please turn his life into a musical?

  13. But the challenges he's facing are surreally exaggerated.

  14. And people start singing in the middle of a sentence.

  15. Just for fun.

  16. I think we'd all learn so much from a story like that.

  17. In Jesus' name I pray.

  18. Amen.

  19. Welcome to Musical Falls, where every time a bell rings, a person starts to sing.

  20. I'm on a bike, I'm singing on a bike.

  21. I'm on my bike and I'm singing.

  22. But that doesn't really matter.

  23. This story is a comedy and a tragedy.

  24. We call it a traumedy.

  25. Set in a small town, but with snow and bells to make it Christmassy.

  26. This is the story of Jo.

  27. This is a song.

  28. A Christmassy song to sing along about a special guy.

  29. No Everage Guy.

  30. I'll tell you why.

  31. But now it's time for the kids to speak.

  32. About it's time, no one ever it's time.

  33. Even how it's take it show.

  34. It's no ever it's joke.

  35. You're still to know why we love him.

  36. We love him.

  37. And everyone wants to love him.

  38. Yes indeed, a joke is coming.

  39. And although we have not given you the audience any significant reason to get excited about that, we now ask you all to get excited anyway and we'll go with the wave.

  40. Of course we can, for it is written, even the wind and the wave over.

  41. Audience ready, all campuses, starting on the left, here we go.

  42. I'm on top of the wood.

  43. I'm not about to put on some shape.

  44. Take a look at my life.

  45. You just gotta stay wow! Nothing can stop me.

  46. Where can it be?

  47. Where can it be?

  48. What can it be?

  49. What can it be?

  50. How can it be?

  51. How can it be?

  52. Who can it be?

  53. Who can it be?

  54. I'm mounted who jokes, sir.

  55. He invested in the wrong place and made uh uh uh a profit! What a profit?

  56. How can it how can it how can it be?

  57. Who can make a profit when we're trying to take a loss?

  58. Tell me how hard it can be to take an order from your boss.

  59. Well, don't just stand there.

  60. Go get Joe Jones in here, man.

  61. Stat Why is this bad?

  62. What did he do wrong?

  63. We were trying to cover our indiscretions by creating losses in the Anderson Fund.

  64. Oh, you mean the one that no one's supposed to know about?

  65. You wanted to see me, sir?

  66. I asked Jones, did you place the investment order I gave you last week?

  67. Yes, sir, as soon as you gave it to me, and I was honored that you would ask me to place such a huge investment in in private and verbally, instead of by official order or something traceable like the government requires us to do.

  68. Why did you change the investment order from Goldman Sachs and invest in Goldman Snake?

  69. Oh, I I didn't realize you said Goldman Sachs.

  70. I thought you said I want you to invest our Anderson fund in Goldman Sachs.

  71. No, that solves it.

  72. You really do have the mightest touch.

  73. And it's for that reason that we have chosen to make you, Joe Jones, the new CFO of this firm, effective immediately.

  74. Wow! Just sign here, you're not responsible and liable for all financial transactions this firm makes.

  75. Congratulations, Mr.

  76. Jones.

  77. Oh, thank you, thank you so much.

  78. I I can't wait to go tell Jennifer! Mr.

  79. Jones! Mr.

  80. Jones, your doctor came by and said it was a you see him.

  81. He said it was like life or down!

  82. Not right now! I have to go sing the next verse of my song.

  83. Oh, okay.

  84. Like the highway.

  85. Let's talk and go! It's gonna be pay.

  86. Get out of my way.

  87. If you're trying to make me slow down, take a look at my life.

  88. You just gotta say, wow! Nothing can stop me.

  89. Oh, story late, I've got some great too.

  90. I'm so excited.

  91. Well, wasn't that a wonderful rendition of the 12 days of Christmas played only on spools and a washboard?

  92. And how marvelous it was when it ended.

  93. And now for a finale performance in the musical Falls Christmas Eve talent show, the Jones Tappers.

  94. I'm Jennifer.

  95. I'm Dr.

  96. We're the Jones family.

  97. We wish you a Merry Christmas.

  98. We know that you all wish that you were just like us, the perfect family.

  99. I eat what I want and never gain weight.

  100. She never was makeup and always was great.

  101. I got 2400 on my SATs.

  102. She didn't eat the study and stick with ease.

  103. I clean the whole house and make all our food.

  104. She says we would never add it to.

  105. And this is my son.

  106. He's Joe number two.

  107. And he's really awesome.

  108. I'm really cute.

  109. He's really cute.

  110. Let's go get my way.

  111. You can do better.

  112. FBI.

  113. You're under arrest for extortion, embezzlement, money laundering, and a whole bunch of other things that aren't quite as bad.

  114. Take it away, boy.

  115. Wait, no, no, no, no.

  116. Hold on.

  117. Wait, there's gotta be some kind of mistake.

  118. As a CFO of Carter Financial, it's your name that's on the criminal orders.

  119. Joe, Joe, I've been looking for you everywhere.

  120. Yeah, I got tied up.

  121. What is it?

  122. I just got back your test results, Joe, and they're positive.

  123. Well, that's good.

  124. No, Joe, that's bad.

  125. You see, Joe, you got cancer and it's spreading fast, and I need to get you to the hospital immediately.

  126. Hey, not to worry, Joe.

  127. They've got great health care in prison.

  128. Take them away, boy!

  129. No, no, no, no, no, buddy!

  130. I didn't do anything wrong!

  131. You may bail.

  132. We'll see you back here real soon.

  133. Merry Christmas.

  134. I can't believe I used my wonderful call and she didn't even answer.

  135. Father, I fell down, God in the undertow of what I don't know, and what I can't understand is God, can't you see what this is doing to me?

  136. Do you really want me to spend my life living in agony?

  137. Can't you just wave your hand, make it go away?

  138. Set it back to the way it was yesterday.

  139. God, do you hear me?

  140. God, will you answer me?

  141. No.

  142. What did I do?

  143. Did I take a different turn?

  144. From this road that leads to destiny.

  145. This is nothing alike.

  146. I thought my life How can I return to the place where I belong?

  147. God tell me now.

  148. What did I do wrong?

  149. No, I'm not wrong.

  150. You must be wrong.

  151. You must have made some kind of mistake.

  152. I will not bow or take any blame.

  153. For you know there is no chance that I'm guilty of Cause you are the one who made me.

  154. You made me this away What did I do around?

  155. Did I take a different turn from this road that leads to destiny?

  156. This is nothing alike with what I've been how can I return to the place where I belong?

  157. God know me now what did I do if you're real.

  158. Who are you?

  159. We are your friends! And you need it.

  160. I do I do.

  161. Wait, wait, wait, wait.

  162. Who are you?

  163. We are the politically religious organization of zealously antagonistic Christians.

  164. We're like medicine for yourself.

  165. We saw you on the news and took it upon ourselves to come and help.

  166. How are you gonna help me?

  167. No, I have.

  168. Yes, you have.

  169. And it's been more than like yoga instructor.

  170. God has done this to you, and until you set anything straight, it's only going to get worse.

  171. How can it possibly get worse?

  172. Have you read the Old Testament?

  173. Okay, fine, but I get your point.

  174. What am I supposed to do about that now?

  175. You ask still touching.

  176. We need to make something special occur.

  177. Something that could never happen in real life?

  178. It's easily acceptable as an entertaining metaphor.

  179. Um metaphor.

  180. Okay, how's this for a metaphor?

  181. I'm about as mad as a bull in a china cabinet.

  182. Oh no, no, no, no, no.

  183. I think you mean a bull in a china shot, and that's a simile, actually.

  184. He said like a bull, not is a bull.

  185. Okay, fine.

  186. So I flunk English.

  187. Whatever.

  188. Doesn't matter, I wish I'd never been born.

  189. That's it! Say that again! That again.

  190. No! The other part, I wish I'd never been born.

  191. That's what you need.

  192. What do I need?

  193. You need a magical musical moment! Magical musical moment, oh my! Magical musical moment, am I?

  194. Magical musical moment, am I! Get it out! What are you doing?

  195. Magical musical moment.

  196. Joe, I have to agree, it's not very original, is it?

  197. This I wish I'd never been born.

  198. What movie is that from?

  199. Oh, oh, uh, um, it's um, it's in the class three! I like that who are you people, the ghost of Christmas, stupid! What is going on here?

  200. Joe, dear.

  201. This is your chance to see beyond this world.

  202. To see what's ahead of you.

  203. Just imagine what you could see if you step right out of reality to see the future.

  204. You can be who you want to be if you step right out of reality to see into the future.

  205. Choose your own adventure, take your life into your hands, better venture leave you the understanding Okay guys, boys.

  206. Better step in the top sip you live your life in the music policy Into the future You can be Step right out of the Let's Two the future Choose your own adventure Take your life into your head Bad Adventure makes you understand Costa singing is just a little bit in now we're dancing Like the apple of Adam and Eve, there comes half a dove that now flies free into the few.

  207. Well, Joe, God has given all people a desire to know the future, and that's what we're going to do.

  208. That is cool.

  209. This is not the choice you are looking for.

  210. Wait a minute, hold on.

  211. How is this gonna help me with the whole going to jail, dying of cancer, not gonna see my family again thing?

  212. Oh!

  213. The three of us will each give you advice on how to set things right with God, then we'll jump into the future and see how it all worked out.

  214. Uh, you can see which one you like and choose your favorite.

  215. Okay, so it's kind of like a free overnight stay at a timeshare?

  216. Yeah, exactly.

  217. Except you won't end up making 50 years of monthly payments.

  218. I'll go first.

  219. Let's get started.

  220. Now, Joe, the first thing you need to realize is you have way too much money.

  221. What are you talking about?

  222. I have a huge mortgage and two car loans.

  223. And what about the family vacations you take each year and the clothes you buy?

  224. Your point?

  225. You could be giving that money away.

  226. They could be feeding children who are starving.

  227. And what about all those days you just sit around the house and relax?

  228. Do you think Jesus just sat around on Facebook eating donuts all day?

  229. No, sir.

  230. He worked.

  231. And that's exactly why God is mad at you.

  232. You, Joe Jones, are rich and lazy.

  233. Okay, hold on.

  234. If all my future consists of is you insulting me, I already don't like it.

  235. Nope, and I'm just getting started.

  236. Now, pay attention.

  237. Now, here's my advice for you.

  238. Just work.

  239. If you want to have God's blessings on your life, you're gonna have to earn it.

  240. Now, when your case goes to trial, go to the judge and volunteer to do full-time community service instead of jail time.

  241. Go and serve at a cancer treatment center and get some treatment while you're there.

  242. And look, the treatment works and you make it through.

  243. This is awesome.

  244. Wait, hold on, you mean I do this and I get to live and be at home with my family?

  245. Most of the time, you take a lot of trips, but don't worry about that right now.

  246. The most important thing is it changes your life and you set up a help center in your own home.

  247. You take in homeless people, have a hotline, a soup kitchen, make clothes, you name it.

  248. Do you want to see?

  249. Are you kidding?

  250. Yeah, this sounds awesome!

  251. Whoa!

  252. Oh, what what is all this stuff?

  253. Dad Jamie?

  254. You you you've gotten so tall, I'm dad.

  255. I'm not a little girl anymore.

  256. You need to get used to it.

  257. Uh right, yeah.

  258. Well wait, who's your friend?

  259. Hey there.

  260. What's your name?

  261. Dad, are you okay?

  262. Oh gobstoppers, Joe Junior?

  263. When did you go up?

  264. Huh?

  265. It was a gradual process.

  266. Pretty consistent though.

  267. Maybe if you'd been here to see it, it wouldn't be so shocking.

  268. Jessica?

  269. What wow, um, Jessica, you are um beautiful.

  270. Yeah.

  271. Everybody's wearing the salfit these days, Dad.

  272. Quite the trend.

  273. And the drones sweatshot anyway.

  274. Don't worry about her, Dad.

  275. She's just grumpy because she didn't have her meal ration this week.

  276. Somebody took an hour off work to sleep.

  277. Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on.

  278. Meal ration this week?

  279. What?

  280. I just oh, Jennifer Talk to the hand.

  281. Um Doodle Pumpkin?

  282. What's going on here?

  283. Uh oh, I can see why you'd be so confused since you haven't been here in three months.

  284. But don't worry, I put in a request at the call center, and they said you can come work with your family here in a few years.

  285. Wait, what?

  286. What is going on here?

  287. Well, it would appear you have really taken to this life of a servant thing.

  288. I bet God is pleased.

  289. Yeah, but what about my family?

  290. I mean, Jennifer seems really perturbed.

  291. I mean she's fine.

  292. Seriously.

  293. Don't worry about that.

  294. I mean, the most important thing is God is happy with you and he's not punishing you anymore.

  295. But Jamie said they don't get to eat if they take a break to sleep.

  296. Where did that come from?

  297. Your favorite passage in the Bible, 2 Corinthians 11 27.

  298. You quote it all the time now.

  299. Hit it, boy.

  300. I have done hard and tiring work.

  301. And many times I did not sleep.

  302. I have been hungry and thirsty, and many times I have been without food.

  303. Kind of taken out of context, but hey, isn't that awesome?

  304. This is ridiculous.

  305. There has got to be balance.

  306. And this is just don't give me that remote.

  307. Alright.

  308. Your funeral.

  309. Yeah, but that is my funeral.

  310. You're singing at it.

  311. Alright.

  312. Everyone! Hey, I have an announcement to make.

  313. Look, you're all doing a fantastic job, and I'm sure God is thrilled with all of the uh stuff we're doing.

  314. Anyway, um, but why don't we just take a day off?

  315. Are you trying to get us killed?

  316. Tell him, Jamie!

  317. Daddy always told me I've got to work if I wanna make my God happy.

  318. Give away everything you have on your heart will be filtering.

  319. Shut up, living in the luxury.

  320. Got to choose a type of work every Monday, work every Sunday, every day between you give me this.

  321. So much better than work, work, work, work, work.

  322. I mean, who wants to do that, right?

  323. I heard that.

  324. Right.

  325. But if it means I get to live, then I No way!

  326. That's not living.

  327. Look, first thing you need to realize, you've been wasting your life.

  328. That's why God is mad at you.

  329. I mean you're spending all your time and your money and your energy on work and family and helping other people.

  330. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.

  331. I thought God wanted us to do those things.

  332. That's like Old Testament.

  333. I mean wrong musical.

  334. Haven't you heard?

  335. It's all about grace, man.

  336. Look, God forgives all of our sins.

  337. So what you need to do is just live it up.

  338. Alright, if that's what you think God wants, then I'll set things straight.

  339. You just check it out.

  340. Now, with this whole jail time thing, forget that.

  341. Go straight to the media.

  342. Blame anyone, everyone! Just don't take the blame for yourself.

  343. Start some conspiracies.

  344. Spit it that you're the victim, because you are! Oh, this is the best part! Get your own reality TV show! And I'm your host!

  345. Okay, um, um, hold on.

  346. Little thing, cancer, do I still survive?

  347. Sure you do.

  348. I think.

  349. And yeah, look, you make so much money, you you get treatment in your house.

  350. I mean, you've got a day spawn your home too! Wow! Oh, nice indoor pool.

  351. Hey, focus, please.

  352. What about my family?

  353. And Jennifer is she's still mad at me.

  354. Let's relax, Jack! Look, Jennifer's the happiest she's ever been, though not because of you.

  355. Uh Joe Jr.

  356. has totally embraced the celebrity lifestyle.

  357. Wanna take a look?

  358. All right.

  359. Show me what you got.

  360. Yo yo yo, I'm Eli Line here at your favorite house with America's favorite family, and we are keeping up with the Joneses! Keep it up, keep it up, keep it up with the Joneses!

  361. Keep it up, keep it up, keep it up with the Joneses.

  362. Okay, hold up.

  363. Hey! Pray tell, who are all of these people?

  364. Is this my house?

  365. These are your fans! Actually, they're paid actors, but they're here at your crib for a house party! Isn't this awesome?

  366. I guess, but I I can't believe this is really the way to make things right with God.

  367. I mean, is it?

  368. Well, sure it is! You just have to look in the right places in the Bible and skip all the legalistic stuff.

  369. Okay, but this seems a little loose, don't you think?

  370. Not in this future.

  371. You if you can convince the people at your church that the only way to live is to live it up.

  372. Your favorite Bible verse, Ecclesiastes 3.13.

  373. God wants all his people to eat, drink, and be happy.

  374. Look! Here's your pastor right there parting it up! Okay, well, um party on.

  375. Hey, all you Jones fans, this is a big night for your favorite fam.

  376. We are here to premiere his debut record, give it up for Joe Junior.

  377. Now I find the time, the old minute light.

  378. I would like to be a little five.

  379. Everybody's got to know life and stall, I play the stone, do it everything.

  380. Take your puff and feel it up.

  381. Now it's time to just lift it up.

  382. Who will the kids side with as Jennifer moves in with her hot new boyfriend and Joe's senior searches for the next Mrs.

  383. Jones?

  384. Till then, keep it real and keep on living it up.

  385. What?

  386. Jennifer! Jennifer! What is going on?

  387. I'm not sick anymore.

  388. We have plenty of money.

  389. Everyone's having a great time.

  390. Why are you leaving me?

  391. Leaving you?

  392. I don't think I ever had you.

  393. Look at Joe.

  394. You don't want to be with me any more than I want to be with you.

  395. Before all this, we were stuck with each other.

  396. And now we have an option.

  397. These are the nice options.

  398. I don't want any of this.

  399. I just want to know what you're doing.

  400. Because he is.

  401. God is punishing you.

  402. You poor Americans.

  403. You have no understanding of the justice and vengeance of God.

  404. That's what you get for reading second-hand translations.

  405. It's never been the same since people stopped reading the King James.

  406. Like, I admit the workhouse future was out of balance and the party future was just painful.

  407. Um there has to be something I can do to make things right.

  408. I mean, if I lose my family for any reason, I don't know what the point of living would be.

  409. That is so beautiful.

  410. If only it were up to you.

  411. Pity.

  412. It's not.

  413. Let me make this clear.

  414. God, the maker of the universe, will do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, to whomever he chooses.

  415. And there is nothing you can do to stop it.

  416. The same book, those other two so foolishly quoted, it says that people cannot add anything to what God has done and they cannot take anything away from it.

  417. God does this to make people respect him.

  418. The path you should choose is this.

  419. Just accept.

  420. And if something bad happens, just know it's the way it was meant to be.

  421. Just accept what God gives and be grateful for the mercy and grace of God that he does not give you something worse, for you certainly deserve it.

  422. We all do.

  423. Wow, that's that's harsh.

  424. As much as I don't like it, I it it sounds right.

  425. So what do I do?

  426. Do not be concerned with working to pay back God, for there is no way to repay God with human efforts.

  427. And certainly do not blame others or cause a scandal, for that will only add to your sin.

  428. Instead, stand up for yourself.

  429. Go to court.

  430. Tell them you did not commit this highest crime.

  431. I'm so glad to hear you say that.

  432. You're the first one.

  433. Right! And then confess every other sin you have ever committed, no matter how small right there before the judge, and pay the full penalty for each.

  434. And when you finish serving jail time and paying your fines, live out the rest of your days as innocently as you can, so as not to provoke the wrath of God again.

  435. Wow.

  436. Um that's an option.

  437. And it's not as appealing as the other ones were, but um okay.

  438. Show me my future.

  439. That apparently takes place in Transylvania.

  440. It was so lovely of you to join us for dinner.

  441. Even though I don't remember inviting you.

  442. The way it was meant to be.

  443. After all, we have all been through quite a lot together lately, haven't we?

  444. Yes.

  445. It's hard to believe it's been five years since we met.

  446. Right after Joe's passing was so terribly tragic.

  447. Whoa, um, question! You mean I'm dead in this future?

  448. Oh yes, I forgot to mention that, didn't I?

  449. No, you think?

  450. Well, um, a newfound and spiritually reliable friend told you that medicine just gets in the way of God's vengeance, so it's best just to let God do what he wants to do.

  451. And so you refuse treatment and prayer, seeing as there's no point asking God to heal what he's already ordained, and you humbly accepted death.

  452. Like a man.

  453. I'm so very proud of you.

  454. God rest your soul.

  455. What a beautiful tablecloth!

  456. This is lovely.

  457. So I'm a ghost in this future?

  458. Should I be over here with a pottery wheel doing a Patrick Swayze impersonation?

  459. What surely?

  460. This meal must have taken you all day to prepare it.

  461. It was absolutely delightful.

  462. Oh no, it was no trouble at all.

  463. I just marinated it for a little and then baked it for you know.

  464. I've just got a little cough.

  465. Maybe.

  466. It's happening again, isn't it?

  467. Whoa, whoa, whoa, wait, wait, wait, what's happening?

  468. What is wrong?

  469. What did you do?

  470. Did you say something valuable today?

  471. Did you push a kid?

  472. Did you forget to raise your hand and clap?

  473. This is the judgment of God.

  474. It's ridiculous.

  475. Just give the kid some nicer.

  476. Just let your feelings out.

  477. It's the way it's what's meant to be.

  478. Whispers a dissonant song.

  479. Each memory reminds me of all I've done wrong.

  480. Even if I fail, fill you in millions of ways.

  481. God tell me why do you choose to pay me this far as I can see, you must be getting back at me.

  482. It was meant to be a little bit more than a little bit.

  483. I thought you would at least call.

  484. Oh.

  485. Honey.

  486. We're going to make it through this.

  487. Doesn't seem that way, not if you've seen my future.

  488. What I've seen.

  489. I don't know who you've been talking to.

  490. But God promises us.

  491. He has a future for us.

  492. And that future is filled with hope.

  493. You believe that.

  494. Right.

  495. I don't know.

  496. Um you know what?

  497. Um it doesn't matter.

  498. I just, um You're here with me now, and uh that's all that matters to me.

  499. This has been such an overwhelming day.

  500. I'm not sure how to process it all.

  501. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, um I'm gonna go and fight this in court and I'm gonna go get treatment.

  502. We okay?

  503. I don't want to lose you.

  504. You couldn't if you tried.

  505. You could.

  506. I've thought about this for so many years.

  507. But never felt comfortable saying it.

  508. When did you give your life to the Lord?

  509. Oh, uh uh um well I've told you this before, I'm I'm sure I have.

  510. Um I I was six or um ten.

  511. Uh I I went to the front of a church and uh I made a prayer.

  512. If they gave me a Bible, I could probably find it and just show you if that's Can I ask you a different way?

  513. Yeah.

  514. When did your life uh change?

  515. Um Jennifer, wh what are you saying that because I can't remember the date?

  516. You think I'm not a Christian or something?

  517. That's not important.

  518. The date.

  519. But I do remember.

  520. Not the date, but uh the change in my heart.

  521. And how I saw life.

  522. You're asking me this now?

  523. You've seen me go to church even when I don't want to.

  524. You've seen me tithe on every paycheck.

  525. And it's I've even volunteered at the golf tournament.

  526. I believe in God.

  527. I know you believe in God and you try hard to do what's right.

  528. What I've been thinking about ever since I saw them take you away today.

  529. And I can't shake his thought.

  530. Do you really trust God?

  531. That's the icing on the cake.

  532. This has been my day.

  533. First, I find out I may be going to jail, then I find out I may be dying.

  534. And now my wife thinks I may be going to hell.

  535. No, no, that's just perfect.

  536. That's fantastic.

  537. You know what?

  538. Based on the events of today, no, no, no, no, I don't trust God.

  539. I don't.

  540. I've sat through hundreds of sermons, and you can add three more by wackers today, telling me how to be right with God.

  541. And I've done everything I know to be right with God, and what have I got for it, Jennifer?

  542. Nothing.

  543. I haven't done anything wrong.

  544. And even if I have, I don't deserve to die in a jail cell.

  545. I don't know when my life changed.

  546. I don't.

  547. Because as far as I'm concerned, I've always been a good person and good people.

  548. I will accept you just as you are.

  549. To be saved.

  550. You have to accept him.

  551. I hope you can see what's happening.

  552. I hope it's becoming clear.

  553. To have your questions answered, you must open your heart to hear.

  554. I know it can be so confusing.

  555. At times you won't understand, but that's when you must let go and reach out for God's help.

  556. He is just trust.

  557. He only wants the best friend.

  558. Or papers to sign, or prize that we have to have.

  559. All the gods king of us.

  560. It's just trying to try to try to make it like don't again, you don't understand.

  561. It's just because you don't understand.

  562. Just the god is who he says.

  563. Just trust He only wants the best for us.

  564. There's no mountains to climb, or papers to sign, or prize that we have to.

  565. All the God has ever asked of just a lot of people.

  566. I don't understand a lot of things.

  567. I guess it doesn't mean that it's not true.

  568. I just I thought I had to I thought I had to have everything figured out.

  569. I guess that's not really trust, is it?

  570. I guess that's why they call it faith.

  571. I think I knew it all along.

  572. I made up words to a famous song.

  573. The author came and showed me I was wrong.

  574. Now I won't waste another line.

  575. I'll take a leap of faith and find you're leading me on this winding road to the place I've formed today.

  576. And life begins again.

  577. Faith will light the way that leads me home.

  578. This is where I belong.

  579. And what'll happen if I continue that way, and I don't want it.

  580. I don't think of what will happen after I die.

  581. That terrifies me.

  582. So, God, if you're trying to get my attention, you have it.

  583. And if there's even any value left in my life, whatever time I may have left, I want you to have it.

  584. God, I've been so wrong.

  585. My life is so messed up, and I didn't want to admit it.

  586. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.

  587. Jesus, I need you to help me.

  588. I know, I know you will save me, and I'll gladly accept it.

  589. And um I have no clue what else I'm supposed to pray.

  590. So amen.

  591. And thank you.

  592. Thank you.

  593. You will never walk alone.

  594. God is always by our son.

  595. He has given us his work.

  596. How will you be right with God?

  597. Because someday, every single one of us, no matter who you are, are gonna stand before God.

  598. And will He accept you is based upon whether you've accepted Him.

  599. We've heard that, well, you gotta work your way there.

  600. You gotta do a bunch of good stuff.

  601. The truth is, no matter how good you are, that's not gonna make any difference.

  602. It's not gonna make that difference that you can face God with.

  603. Or that, you know, God's just gonna forgive you no matter what.

  604. Well, the fact is you've got to choose to do something.

  605. Or, you know what?

  606. God's mad at us, and no matter what we do, he's never gonna forgive us.

  607. That's not the truth either.

  608. Here's the truth the Bible says that God so loved the world that he gave his only son to die for us.

  609. The truth is that every one of us in this room are separated from God because of our sin.

  610. We've all blown it.

  611. We're all in the same condition.

  612. But in the middle of that sin, Jesus came and died for us.

  613. In fact, the Bible says God sacrificed his own son to pay for our sin.

  614. So really the question comes: have you accepted that gift into your life?

  615. Have you received that?

  616. Not just feel bad about what you've done, not go to church, not go through catechism or I mean any of those things.

  617. Really, it ultimately boils down to have you made a choice in your own life to say, okay, I realize I've blown it up, but Jesus paid for it.

  618. So God, I accept that payment in my life.

  619. I accept Jesus Christ and I trust him just like Joe had to do.

  620. That means I trust you with my life.

  621. I give my life to you.

  622. Have you ever done that?

  623. Because then, and only then will you be able to stand before God and you're right with him because you've received his gift to you.

  624. That's what it's all about.

  625. So tonight we just want to help you do that.

  626. If you've never done that, alright?

  627. Would you bow your head and close your eyes, please?

  628. Every head bowed, every eye closed.

  629. I'm just gonna help you tonight.

  630. In fact, the Bible says, whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.

  631. So I'm gonna help you call upon the name of the Lord.

  632. I'm gonna help you just pray.

  633. Because that's what it takes.

  634. Just a prayer of faith in your own heart and your life, and through that, you mean everything you say, and through that prayer, you're offering your life up to God and accepting his gift into you.

  635. So I just want us to pray.

  636. And if you've never given your life to Jesus, just mean this prayer with all your heart, and the Bible promises God will forgive you of your sin and you'll enter into a new life with Him.

  637. Let's all pray this out loud.

  638. Every head bowed, here right close.

  639. Let's all pray this out loud.

  640. Heavenly Father, I thank you that you love me, and that you sent Jesus Christ to die for me.

  641. So tonight, I accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.

  642. Forgive me of my sins.

  643. Come and live in my life and make me a new person.

  644. And I thank you for saving me.

  645. In Jesus' name I pray.

  646. Now, before you look up, every head bowed and every eye closed.

  647. If you said that prayer and you meant it with all your heart, then the Bible promises you were just saved right then.

  648. And God forgave you.

  649. Something supernatural happened in your heart and your life right then.

  650. How do you know that?

  651. Because God said He would do it if He asked for that.

  652. I want to know, with nobody looking around.

  653. How many tonight would you just say I meant that prayer and I gave my heart to Christ right then?

  654. If that's you, just raise your hand up here.

  655. No one else looking around.

  656. Come on, raise it up.

  657. Raise it up.

  658. Fast, fast, fast.

  659. Come on.

  660. Keep it up.

  661. Keep it up.

  662. All over the auditorium.

  663. Up in the balcony, upper levels.

  664. Keep your hand up.

  665. God bless you.

  666. God bless you.

  667. God bless you.

  668. Many hands are up.

  669. Keep your hand up.

  670. I'm gonna see them.

  671. God bless you.

  672. God bless you.

  673. We are so proud of you.

  674. Put your hand down.

  675. I'm gonna ask you to do one more thing without anybody else looking around.

  676. This is gonna take courage.

  677. But it took courage for Jesus to give his life for you.

  678. So I'm gonna encourage you to do one more thing.

  679. And trust me, this will help solidify this decision.

  680. In a second, I'm gonna count to three.

  681. When I hit three, I want every one of you who raised your hand up right then.

  682. I want you to make your way down to the front here.

  683. And by coming down, you're saying to this crowd, I gave my life to Jesus and I'm not ashamed of it.

  684. I want the world to know.

  685. You're not gonna have to say anything.

  686. Just by coming up here, you'll that that will signify that you meant business with God tonight.

  687. You ought to be proud to do this, all right?

  688. So be just make it up in your mind.

  689. The second I count to three, you're gonna stand up and you're gonna come forward, letting the world know you gave your life to Jesus, all right?

  690. Be the first one.

  691. You ready?

  692. One, two, three.

  693. Stand up.

  694. If you raise your hand, stand up.

  695. Come on, come on, come on down, come on down, come on down, come on, come on down.
