August 28 (AM) - Anointed to Stand

faithfulness who in here knows that we serve a faithful.

God who knows that. Jesus Christ is a firm

foundation to build your life upon, man.

You build your life upon him, and you can know you'll be And

On Solid Ground. Amen.

Amen. Well, I want to start things off

by giving honour and thanks to my pastors for yet again, trust

in me with the task to stand before you guys and bring a

word. Thank you, Pastor Terrence,

thank you faster Julia. For activating me, it's been an

amazing couple weeks to step further into my call and I'm

forever grateful. You sites can take a seat in the

house. Of the Lord.

And so yeah, the song says I'm standing on your faithfulness

and I this morning have been tasked to speak to you guys on

the subject of just that stand, right?

All the heroes of the faith. The legends that we read about

in the Bible, they all share this one, great attribute,

right? Their ability to stand Right.

We look at Daniel and he was as such resolved to stand to the

point that they were willing to throw him in the Lion's Den,

right? But the Lord the Lord's power

showed up to deliver him from The Lions Den, right?

Mad rat Shack Meshach and Abednego had a resolve to stand

not to bow down to another God. And as a result, they were

thrown into the fiery furnace, but the power of God showed up

To deliver them, right? We look at David he was willing

to stand against Goliath and as a result the power of God showed

up to deliver Israel in that moment, right?

We look at the life of Jesus. He was not willing to stand down

from his claim to be the Savior to the world to the point that

they crucified him. But the power of God showed up

and raised him from the dead and You and I are free when we put

our faith in the resurrected savior.

Amen. And so this morning, I came to

talk to you about the subject stand and are faithful

propresenter in the bag is working at getting you these

slides. Hallelujah, stand, right?

As of recently, I have developed a love for running.

And I'm the kind of guy that when I get into something I get

all the way into something I am in it, you better believe.

I went and got the shorts that are shorter than average.

I went and got fitted for some running shoes that are proper.

I see you coach. I went and got myself a running

wash so I could track. I got the heart monitor to keep

track of my heart rate. I am serious when it comes to

running, right? I love it.

It's been a great Outlet mentally.

You do is Skate as well as get some good exercise in, right?

I'm passionate about running. The more I do it, the more I

love it and I've actually made it a life goal in mind.

I want to run an ultramarathon 100 km.

Ultramarathon I'm going to do it, but I know you got to start

somewhere. And so a couple weeks ago, I

signed up for a half marathon in October to start training for

it. But like I said, I'm passionate,

I'm zealous the next day. I went Went and ran 23

kilometers, which is more than half marathon in a pretty good

time, right? And right after I did that I ran

around the seawall. I met up with my guy Andrew,

and, and, and we're going out for dinner.

And he decides, he's he picks me up.

He decides to park about three blocks away from the restaurant.

And so, we're walking, and I'm kind of limping a little bit,

but it's all good. Yeah, I'ma keep it pushing.

And Andrew says, yo, there's something wrong with you, man.

What's wrong with you? And I'm Boy, I just ran 23

kilometers. Give me a break, but he he knew

man. Something's not right.

But I ignored him and I just kept putting on the miles

putting on the miles and before long, I realized, man, my leg is

starting to get really sore, right?

It didn't bother me before, but as I started to go the distance,

my leg was off. And so, I went and paid a visit

to dr. Drew.

Shout out to Drew alive, Fitness.

Go see him for all your bodily. I want to say functions bodily.

Movements needs quick, plug for you droop and he assessed my

run. And it didn't take them long to

point out that I had a collapsed arch in my right foot, which was

causing my leg to my ankle and turn to collapse, which was

bringing my knee in, which was putting undue stress on legs.

Are on ligaments on muscles in my leg, that was bringing pain,

right? And before long, he got me off

the treadmill and you don't need to run right now he Got me doing

some standing exercises because he said, you need to work on the

foundation. You need to build up the muscles

in your feet. We need to rebuild the arch in

your foot, right? We need to start at the

foundation and so, I'm standing here shaking like a leaf.

He's got toe spreaders on my foot and I'm frustrated because

I want to run. But he's got me here standing

and with those saying it, what I heard Drew telling me was that

before. You've you got to learn to stand

first before you start to run and so that's the message.

I come bringing you guys this morning, right?

You got to learn to stand before you run.

Amen. Amen, Hebrews 12:1.

Hebrews 12:1

Paul says that since we are surrounded by so great.

A cloud of witnesses who have borne testimony to the truth.

Let us strip off and throw aside, every encumbrance every

unnecessary weight and that sin, which so readily clings to an

entangles us and let us run with patience, endurance and steady

and active persistence. The appointed course they

appointed. Course that is set before us.

We all have an appointed course. We all have a call that we are

to align our lives with. It is not just the pastor's, it

is not just the teachers of the church it is not just the

Evangelist, every individual has a call in their life and it

requires that individual to throw off the weight that gets

in the way of them, stepping into this call.

Bright and says, throw aside. Every encumbrance and what an

encumbrance is, is a weight burden restraint, constraint

hinderance, handicap obstruction responsibility, obligation or in

other words, things that prevent you from moving forward, things

that come to slow you down, right?

The legal term for encumbrance is a claim made it.

And a property by someone other than the current titleholder

that affects the owners ability to develop or transfer the

ownership of the property, right?

An example of this, if there was water damage to an apartment,

there'd be an encumbrance again that apartment even after it

gets fixed, you still have to say in the, in the agreement or

in the title. There has been water damaged.

If this place has been used to illegally grow marijuana, and

you get busted. It's added to the title.

There's an encumbrance and that hinders the owners ability to

sell it when it comes time because that properties for lack

of better words, been tainted. If there's a development a

developer working on a property and an inspector comes by and

realizes, there's a faulty Foundation, there's a stop work

permit. And there's an incumbrance they

can't move forward until they address the situation, right?

And so there's encumbrances that hold us.

Side and just like, there are this encumbrances it claims made

against we read about in Revelation.

There is someone who comes to make a claim against the

born-again believer to try and hold us back, right?

So John is taken into the future and it and is and is given this

Revelation right of Jesus return?

He says I heard a loud voice in heaven.

Say now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of

I'm of our God and the authority of his Messiah.

Hallelujah. For the accuser of our brothers

and sisters. Talking about the devil here who

accuses them before, our God day and night has been hurled down.

This is in the future, right? He hasn't been hurled down yet.

And he explains how these brothers and sisters have

overcome him. He says that they triumphed over

him, the accuser by the blood of the lamb and by the word of

their testimony, they did not love their lives so much as to

shrink from Death, right? They overcame the accuser,

right? And what I'm coming here to tell

you guys this morning is that you must know how.

To stand up for your rights against the accuser before you

are fit to run the race. In other words, you must know

how to stand before you run, right?

Because the accuser is coming to check your foundation, right?

Who the sun sets free is free, indeed, the devil knows that

he's coming to check to see if you know that, right?

You have an obligation to know your rights.

Right, Bob, Marley, Get Up, Stand Up.

Stand up for your right? That's all I got, right, right.

So you got a no. Say I got a note right Hosea 4:6

Hosea 4:6

says, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, for lack

of knowing, right? Second Peter.

One Bible says that his divine power has given us everything we

need for a Godly life through Knowledge of him who called us

by his own, glory and goodness, right?

So knowledge is both access to everything we need and the lack

of knowledge is access for the devil to come and steal kill and

destroy right. John 10:10, right.

John 10:10

The thief comes for three. Reasons to kill, steal and

destroy. But Jesus says I have come I've

come to give you life and life in abundance, right?

You got to get this scripture written on your heart because

you can look at your situation out and ask yourself and what if

is what I'm in right now, bring in me life.

If it is, I know I'm in God's will, but if it's coming to

steal kill and destroy is not of God, I need to remove myself

from this current situation, right?

John 10:10. Get a written in your heart,

John 10:10

right? And so you got to know knowledge

is access, amen. Your ignorance is the devil's.

Only Power. I got the yikes Emoji of say

yikes, but I declare that this day.

Ignorance is gone, right? This is your last day of

ignorance in Jesus name. Right.

And so Revelations tells us that they triumphed over him the

accuser by the blood of the lamb and by the spoken word of their

testimony, right Amplified says through the utterance of their

testimony, right? And so as long as you remain

under the blood, you have the right to tell the devil to

remain under your feet, You gotta stay under the blood, man,

what does it mean to remain under the blood, right?

The old Saints, call it plead in the blood, right?

You are saved through the confession of your faith and

believing in your heart. Romans 10:9 says, right?

And so the same way you receive salvation is the same way you

stay in Salvation, right? You gotta you gotta speak it,

man, right? If that devil starts trying to

get out from under your feet, you say not today saying not

today saying I am the redeemed of the Lord and I say.

So you got to plead the blood Romans say there is now a no

condemnation say how much condemnation nah for those who

are in Christ Jesus those who are under the blood because

through Christ Jesus, the law of the spirit who gives life has

set you free from the law of sin and death case dismissed.

This is what the devil wants to talk you out of Right.

First Corinthians but the person who is United.

Wait sorry. Go back.

So Christ Jesus dealt with sin once and for all, would you

agree with that? Would you agree that it is by

the holy spirit that Jesus was empowered to live a life free of

sin and to conquer once and for all amen I'm about to Jack some

of your guys's Theology here, but stay with me. 1st

Corinthians says, the person who is United to the Lord becomes

one spirit with him. Say this after me, there is no

when I'm born again. There is no longer two Spirits

in me. There is one Spirit The Same

Spirit that empowered, Jesus Christ.

Is the spirit that empowers me, right?

We are tripart beings. Our spirit was once dead in sin.

Jesus Christ came to bring the spirit alive again, right?

Some of us are defeated because we are still babies in Christ,

right? We haven't fed and grown our

spirit to the place where it can stand.

Some of us haven't put in the Reps.

To develop our awareness of the presence of the holy spirit

inside of us. Some of us still need others to

spoon feed us the word of God. Some of us don't have a worship

life. Outside of Love quest,

International Church, amazing worship Services.

All right, and so some of us are defeated because we're still

babies. The dog you feed will be the one

that wins the fight, right. You got to catch this Barb was a

Sunday school teacher. Mom, when I was just a little

tyke, right? And she shared this Revelation

with me and it just stuck with me forever.

So thank you. Barb.

And now I'm sharing it with all of you guys, Barb's a mighty

woman of God. Faithful servant.

The dog you feed will be the one that wins the fight.

Romans 7 and 8 and Galatians 5. Paul is teaching us that there

is a war going on between us and within us.

Our flesh is hostile towards God.

It has sin nature, it wants to do a feels right in the moment,

it is rebellious towards the ways of the Lord, but Jesus came

to redeem, our spirit, and make us one with God.

And now, We have to decide which dog?

We're going to feed our beef up to determine which one wins the

fight in our life, right? Paul tells us in Romans 7 for I

know that nothing good say nothing.

Good lives within the Flesh of My Fallen Humanity, the longings

to do what is right are within me but willpower is not enough

to accomplish it. And this is a portion of

scripture that is often misquoted.

Even from the pulpit, they will say, you have a sin nature, your

you've, you're gonna send, but don't worry.

Jesus's blood has already covered your past, your present

and your future sin. Paul says, man when you want to

do, what is right evil is always present.

You have a sin nature that you're bound to fall back into.

But this is the same guy that says I have been Co crucified

with Christ. Right, he's acknowledges.

Nothing good is in my flesh, but my flesh is dead and I am alive

in Christ. I'm a new creation sin, no

longer has a part of me. You can walk free of sin when

you remain under the blood, get that in your spirit.

Right? And so, nothing good lives.

Within the Flesh of My Fallen Humanity, you feeding your /

causes you to fall into sin and the accuser comes to condemn you

in your sin, right? The Bible says that the lion

there, the Devil roams around like a lion seeking to devour.

And I've watched enough of the Discovery Channel to know that

lions are me tears there after the flesh, the I was roaming

around looking for those Christians that are still living

in the flesh. But the devil's got no means to

attack if there's no flesh. He's hungry, but if you got

nothing to feed him, he's gonna leave you alone.

Put that flesh to death. Right.

And so to stand Requires your flesh to sat down.

Shout it uh, sound right? They overcome.

By the power of their testimony, right?

There's times where your flesh is going to rear up, not the

devil, your flesh. And you got to speak to your

flesh. Sometimes the same way you speak

to the devil, right? You got to remind your flesh.

Mmm, I'm a New Creation, The Old Man.

The flesh is dead and gone behold.

The new man is here, right? And you I got a little birdie

flying over this guy's head, I heard a preacher once say you

cannot prevent a bird from flying over your head but you

can prevent that bird from building a nest on top of your

head, you cannot Do anything about fleeting thoughts?

That just come into your head Temptations, but you can prevent

them from staying there. You can prevent yourself from

meditating on them. You have the right to evict

them. Now, in the name of Jesus, I

have the mind of Christ greater is he who is in me than he who

is in this world talk to your flesh, man.

Stays Yes. Jesus said, Everyone who hears

my teaching and applies it to his life.

Can't be compared to a wise man. Say I'm a wise man or woman who

built his house on an unshakable Foundation when the rains fell

and the floods came with Fierce, winds beating upon the house, it

stood firm because of his strong Foundation, right?

and so, if you find yourself slipping, Stop blaming the devil

and check your foundation, right?

What are you standing on? What have you built your life

on, right? Sand, can seem pretty firm when

you're standing on, right? If anyone's ever been to the

beach and you stand right at the edge of the water, you're good

stand on the beach but when the waves come, it actually

undermines the foundation from beneath you.

Right? And so you could think you're

doing good. I've been going to church.

I've been hanging out with Christians.

I've been listening to Maverick City Music in my car, right?

But when trials Temptations, these thoughts come, what?

Are you standing on, man? Check your Gates hashtag.

Check your Gates man, your eyes and your ears are the gates to

your soul, right? Your eyes.

And your ears are a part of building the foundation, right?

For out of the heart flow, the issues of life, right?

Check your Gates, Grace allows you to reap what you sow before

you get too low, right? The Bible tells us whatever man

reaps. That is what he shall.

So, right? And it's the grace of God to not

keep us from sewing. Because it helps us to realign

ourselves, right? It helps us know, man, you got

to fix your leg man, because if you keep running like this,

you're going to do some serious damage in the future, right?

So Grace allows you to reap what you sow before, you get too low

because oh, Because where God is taking you requires you to get

your stance right before you run or in other words where God is

taking you, he requires you to solidify your foundation to Bear

the weight of greatness, right? Pair of Peter, had to be exposed

prior to the weight of the church.

Being put on his back and thank God.

It was only one Man who had to deal with his insecurities that

night that he, that he betrayed Jesus Christ.

He denied him three times man. Like, if he didn't deal with

that, denial, that was inside of him as a man by his self.

Imagine down the road when thousands were added to the

church Peter fell because he didn't deal with the

foundational issues, right? It is the grace of God, to allow

Now, you to reap what you sow before you get too low because

he's got great plans for greatness on your life.

Sometimes it just needs a little Foundation inspection, right,

right. And so Jesus knew there was a

great call on his life. I'm at Peter.

Jesus knew that too, but Jesus spoke into Peter, right.

He renamed him, Peter, which means a piece of rock and upon

you, I will build my church. Jesus or Peter had an idea of

the race. He was to run down the road.

Right. And Peter was a very zealous,

man. This is the guy that stepped out

of the boat onto the water to follow after Jesus, right?

This is the guy who cut off the guards.

You're right. This is the guy.

When Jesus said I got to go to the Cross.

Peter said, no way. I'm a prevent that from

happening, right? In other words, Peter was

zealous, he was passionate. And sometimes he got caught up

in his feelings or his flesh, right?

And so, Peter needed to be exposed in order for him to

realize, man, I got to sit my flesh down.

If I am going to be the rock, that Jesus.

Is calling me to be if I'm going to truly stand.

I got to make some adjustments, right?

And so Peter fell, but I got good news for you, Grace is

waiting to set you back on top in Jesus name, right?

If you follow, don't give up right, get up, check up, look up

and then Ria, right? You gotta dust yourself up quick

because the enemy is coming to condemn you and try and hold you

down. But I declare that you got

bounced back power in Jesus name.

Sometimes you just gotta check up on your foundation, man.

Sometimes you just gotta look up to where your help comes from

and then you got to re-up. Get back in the race man.

Get back in the race. The Lord says, forget about

what's happened. Don't Keep going over old

history. Be alert.

Be present. I'm about to do something

brand-new. It's bursting out.

Don't you see it? There it is.

I'm making a road through the desert rivers, in the Badlands.

We serve a way maker man, and he is showing you.

He is taking you to this place where you can stand because he's

got plans for you to run. And so past coping mechanisms.

Can't sustain you where God is taking you.

It's time to ditch the crutch, right?

I knew I have flat feet, my mama's got flat feet.

My Daddy's got flat feet, my brothers and sisters, got flat

feet, we all wear these things called Orthotics, right?

They're custom-made insoles that are fit to your feet to bring

support, right? But they, they bring Comfort,

but they don't necessarily address the issue, right.

Your foot is designed as an arch, and when you stick an

orthotic in there, it actually takes away.

The Integrity of the arch. A bridge is strongest, when it's

in the arch formation. If you were to set a post in the

center of a bridge that would be a weak point for the bridge, to

then collapse around, right. And so my orthotics brought

Comfort, they brought me to where I am now but now that I'm

looking to run and Go the Distance, I got a throw Comfort

behind me. They may have been a good thing

but they were not a God thing. All right.

Now the Lord is saying past hoping message mechanisms.

Got to go say they got to go because they can't sustain you

to wear goggles. It is taking you, you got to

throw off every encumbrance, not just the sin, but the weight

that holds you back from running with endurance.

The race that is set before you. Right.

I'm a bit of a mama's boy, I used to call Mom and I had a

problem in life, but as I've matured in my faith, I've

learned to take it to the Lord. I've come to realize that the

holy spirit is my ultimate helper.

God bless my mom, she's a mighty woman of God.

I have a mighty man of God as a father too and they're great to

sound things off of. I'm not saying stop talking to

your mama and Dad, right. But you gotta learn man to lean

on the Lord in order to find strength to where he is taking

you. We see this in when in Moses's

call to service, right? Moses to had a great call on his

life. To deliver the people of Israel

from the clutches of the Egyptians, right?

But he got caught up in his flesh, he was zealous, much,

like Peter. And he went about this

delivering of his people in the wrong way, he acted out of his

flesh out of anger and he ended up killing an Egyptian.

That was mistreating his people and it caused him to Run away

from his call right but Grace came to set them back on top,

right. And we see when the Lord

revealed himself back to Moses in the burning bush.

He came to tell Moses, this call is still on your life and this

is what he said. When Moses came to have a closer

look at this Burning Bush, which the Lord revealed himself.

As in this moment, the Lord says Do not come any closer, the Lord

were warned. Take off your sandals for you

are standing on, Holy Ground. And what I sensed the Lord

saying is you cannot step fully into your call.

Bringing the dirt of your past, bringing the Brokenness of your

past. You can't step before on, holy

God, still hanging your head down in an Unholy posture,

right? Sometimes the hardest part about

stepping into your call is forgiving yourself for your

past, right? But the Lord is saying, put off

your old ways, the mistakes that were made in your, Lash and step

into the new right? Say kick off your shoes and step

into wholeness. We as we weren't we, as people

weren't created to to wear shoes.

If you think about it, right? We also weren't created to make

closed until the fall of Man. All right, we're not talking

about that are now we're talking about shoes, right?

And so, stepping into your call requires you to first stand in

Holiness, right? Yeah, man.

Holiness is wholeness the Lord's, trying to take us back

to the Garden. That's why Jesus Christ came to

take us back to write. Dining with God back to the

Garden. Right?

And the Lord is calling you to put the Reps in on your new

stance and refused to go back to the familiar, right.

The Bible says I placed before you this day life and death.

I pray that you choose life every day.

We are. We are faced with choices.

Right. Which dog am I gonna feed,

right? It requires you choosing to feed

the spirit of man, right? And so as I invite the worship,

team back on stage to prepare, closing this service out, I want

to just challenge your guys's mindset here, a little bit.

Is that all right? Okay.

Paul tells us. That we are.

Those who have been redeemed by Christ.

Those who the Lord has done a good work within that, we are to

present our bodies as a Living Sacrifice, holy and acceptable

to God, which is your reasonable service.

And the lord gave me this Revelation, this charge he says

stop waiting on the Or in other words.

Jesus Christ has done it all everything you need for life and

godliness. Has already been done.

So he said, stop waiting on the Lord to deliver you from the

desires of your flesh. Stop waiting on the Lord.

For you to enable you to live this holy life.

And he said instead, start waiting on the Lord, which

reminded me of a butler of a server, who comes at a tension,

they show up prepared, they show up.

Ready, what would you like for me to do to you today?

Sir, what would you like for me to do for you today?

Sir, right. And so right now, the Lord is

challenging your mindset, man. Stop waiting on the Lord and

start waiting on the Lord. He is worthy.

And the Bible says, in Isaiah 40 verse 31, that those who wait on

Isaiah 40:31

the Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall Mount up with wings like eagles and they shall run

and not be weary they shall walk and not faint.

And so the Lord told me to tell you that when you stand before

God as holy, IE you find strength to run the race set

before thee and I wonder if there are any Saints & Sons and

Daughters in the house who are now waiting for Jesus to do

anything more. I believe this day that you guys

will choose to stand and Holiness that you guys will

choose to wait on the Lord as a soldier weights on his Commander

to be put into Service. Right?

Love quest. I declare that this day we will

choose to stand in Holiness, right?

And like Forrest Gump, we shall run and run and run and we shall

not grow weary in Jesus name. You receive that message.

Give us big shout of Praise unto the Lord.
