  1. What's going on? Love quest Nation.

  2. Thank you for tuning into the Love quest podcast.

  3. Get your Bibles ready? Get your notebook, get your

  4. coffee, get some water, whatever you need to do and get ready to

  5. receive the time. Is right now.

  6. Let's go. It's important that ready for

  7. what God is doing and that's just a demonstration of what I

  8. have to share today. Again pastors I thank you for

  9. the opportunity of sharing and again I don't take it lightly.

  10. And it is important that in the things, given for the

  11. opportunity, God does the lot of the work you're going to do

  12. through the opportunity. Amen.

  13. Amen. So like you can have a seat and

  14. we going to develop this. This topic here today, The champ

  15. is here, we've been talking about it being on a championship

  16. run. Every once a championship run,

  17. You got to put it in your mouth Championship run.

  18. Say greatest of all time, sometimes it begins by just

  19. associating yourself with certain words.

  20. Sometimes you just got to associate yourself with the

  21. greatest just by saying it. And there are times where you

  22. look in the mirror and if you're asked, is just speak that it

  23. becomes difficult because everything in you says, no,

  24. you're a liar. No.

  25. I know where you've been. I know what you've done,

  26. greatness of, who greatness of what, where you come from, to be

  27. able to say that. Then you get religious, do you

  28. have to be humble. Sometimes, the first step is

  29. just associating yourself through what you say with the

  30. things you desire to do, be courageous and put your name

  31. next to greatest. I'm not just have it for

  32. somebody else with a champ is here and part of what I wanted

  33. to begin with, is it just some things to remind us of?

  34. Number one is, stop waiting for someone to tell you who you are.

  35. You stop waiting for someone to tell you who you are.

  36. That's your job. It's your job to know who you

  37. are. Not somebody else's.

  38. If anything you reflect who you are to others and then as they

  39. see, you being who you are, they begin to tell you who you are.

  40. Let me stop waiting for someone to tell you who you are.

  41. The Matthew chapter 7. It says this, why do you stare

    Matthew 7 chapter mention

  42. from without at the very small particle?

  43. That's in your brother's eye but do not become aware of a

  44. consider, the beam of Timber that Your own eye.

  45. Oh, how can you say to your brother?

  46. Let me get the tiny particle out of your eye.

  47. When there is the beam of Timber in your own eye, you hypocrite

  48. first, get the beam of Timber out of your own eye, and then

  49. you'll be able to see clearly stop waiting for someone to tell

  50. you guys something in your eye. It's up to you to know you got

  51. something in your eye. It's up to you to do the work

  52. that they hold on. I gotta check myself first.

  53. It's not for you to do that now for someone else, not wait for

  54. someone else. To do that and stop making

  55. excuses for who you are now. Yes stop making excuses for the

  56. greatness of who you are but stop making excuses for the

  57. other parts of who you are. The bad parts of who you are.

  58. Distinct parts of who you are the undeveloped parts of who you

  59. are. Stop making excuses for who you

  60. are. Hebrews chapter 5 says this.

    Hebrews 5 chapter mention

  61. concerning this, we have much to say It's hard to explain since

  62. you become dull and your spiritual hearing and sluggish

  63. even slothful in achieving spiritual Insight.

  64. We even though, by this time, you ought to be teaching others.

  65. Yeah, actually need someone to teach you over again.

  66. So this reteaching is happened for the second and third time.

  67. And teach you over again, the very first principles of God's

  68. word, you have come to need milk, not solid food, sometimes,

  69. you just got to know who you are and stop making excuses for it.

  70. You should be a teacher, but you're not.

  71. You should be Beyond The Pale Elementary things but you

  72. haven't progressed there. You sluggish, you don't have

  73. spiritual hearing. Sometimes you need to stop

  74. making excuses for who you are and just say, I am dull and

  75. sluggish of spiritual hearing. I should be teaching, but I'm

  76. not, I'm back to milk when I should be on me.

  77. He needs to stop making excuses for who you are.

  78. Because in that place in what of honesty and vulnerability, God

  79. begins to do a work. The Bible says this because God

  80. says this. I wish you were either cold or

  81. hot. You're the great thing about

  82. being cold, they making excuses for who they are.

  83. You know, the great thing about being hot, they're not making

  84. excuses for who they are. Is the fork in the middle of

  85. trying to explain everything to everybody.

  86. God can take someone who's cold is not making excuses and use

  87. that commitment to authenticity and honesty and and transform it

  88. to something significant. He just needs to stop making

  89. excuses for who you are. First Corinthians 11 says this.

  90. Let a man thoroughly examine himself or herself and only when

  91. he has done so shitty. Eat that.

  92. Bread of the drink of the cup for, If We searchingly, examined

  93. ourselves, we should not be judged.

  94. Again, the show job to figure out who you are your job to take

  95. a look at. Look at who you are.

  96. Stop making excuses you assert, you examine your own self

  97. thoroughly. You search your own self?

  98. Honestly, that's your responsibility.

  99. If he going to be on the championship run, this is

  100. vitally necessary in order to do this.

  101. It's some of the bravest work. You do some of the most

  102. courageous work, you do some of the most honest work you're ever

  103. do. Some of the most rewarding work

  104. you ever do. It's time to grow up.

  105. And I actually I phrased it differently on the slide, it's

  106. time grow up, not it's time to grow up.

  107. Its time grow up. It's time to grow up.

  108. It doesn't say it's time be perfect, it doesn't say it's

  109. time. It won't be difficult.

  110. You didn't say it's time. You be like me versus you.

  111. Just be you It's that it's time. Grow up.

  112. You gotta have a conviction and a made-up mind and a consistency

  113. in order to mature and grow up. Its time grow up, say It's Time

  114. grow up and you speak that to you.

  115. First and foremost, don't you understand?

  116. There's some of the key to the growth around.

  117. You depends on the growth in you when you decide to grow up.

  118. Then Yes, two rounds, you begins to grow up, stop waiting on

  119. others to grow up for you to grow up and stop making excuses

  120. for your not growing up. And growing up as a function of

  121. where you need to be not a function of where you are.

  122. You can be mature, you can have experienced a lot of things in

  123. life and then the faith. But sometimes you still got to

  124. grow up. I came to this church, been a

  125. lot of years in the face. Different years of experience.

  126. I could have easily said, hey I'm not used to doing it that

  127. way. Hey, I'm older and that kind of

  128. thing. And we all is pivoting, all

  129. this, that kind of stuff. Why I grew up.

  130. That's called flaky. Let's go make up your mind.

  131. But in this time, I had to decide to grow up.

  132. No matter how old you are, no matter where you are, you going

  133. to have to make a decision to grow up, it's time to grow up,

  134. grow up out of your excuses. Grow up out of your reasonings,

  135. grow up out of every justification, you have for

  136. being stuck. It's time to grow up.

  137. First Corinthians 13 says this, when I was a child, I talked

  138. like a child. I thought like a child, I

  139. reasoned like a child. Now that I've become a man or

  140. mature. I am done, I am done I am done

  141. with childish ways and I've put them aside Nothing, the putting

  142. them aside as essential because that means is I'm not let them

  143. get in my way anymore. I'm not going to let them be

  144. accessible to me anymore. I am done and I'm putting them

  145. off to the side and out of my way because I'm finished, they

  146. won't be in my sight. They won't be in my path.

  147. It's time to grow up, it's time grow up.

  148. Now, this is not a message of getting on you.

  149. This is a message of encouraging you.

  150. You need people in your life that are going to tell you that

  151. you stank. There's a story about Derek

  152. Jeter, saw a documentary, he even playing for against number

  153. Derek. Jeter baseball player.

  154. Get the Yankee of Yankees people call them.

  155. He had a Hall of Fame career up to certain point outstanding

  156. player and they find it was a general manager that came down

  157. to Derek says derrickman, you need to work on some throws and

  158. some accuracy, bro. Derek like what you talking

  159. about. Derek Manion defense is not

  160. where it needs to be what man, come on man.

  161. Ain't nobody saying my defense is not where it needs to be.

  162. He says Derek no one wants to tell you because you're Derek

  163. Jeter. but we're looking at Replacements for you because of

  164. your lack of Defense, Derek Derek said so you mean people

  165. have been thinking like this for a long time?

  166. Yes. Derek The next that year he

  167. transformed his defense and grew up and we took it to another

  168. level. The general manager said this

  169. how unfortunate are we that we denied him the ability to be

  170. excellent by not being honest with him, I'm not being honest

  171. with him and saying, Derek, you got to grow up.

  172. The defense is childish grow up. Never had to put a title on

  173. this. Here's the real Focus.

  174. Champions Scout themselves. Everyone say Champions Scout

  175. themselves? It's vitally important that as a

  176. champion you Scout yourself. It's vitally important that you

  177. do that. And if anything, you may need to

  178. Scott yourself even more than anybody else, you Scout.

  179. Question is this, for example, what does it mean?

  180. Scott yourself? We'll get into a little bit of

  181. detail in that little bit later, but it means to examine.

  182. Where are you? How you perform it?

  183. What's going on with you? Joshua 1 says this, keep this

  184. book of the law always on your lips meditated on on a day and

  185. night so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.

  186. Scout yourself. How you doing with the word?

  187. Are you meditate in the word day and night?

  188. Are you really? Are you not?

  189. This ain't gonna get on what it's saying is God's given us

  190. the keys to be effective if we just operate the keys, right?

  191. But somebody got to be bold enough to challenge you and say,

  192. it says, meditate on the work day and night, are you doing it?

  193. It don't say every other day, or every other night.

  194. Where's the word life? That can't be Scout themselves.

  195. They don't get down on themselves.

  196. They Scout themselves. They don't beat themselves up.

  197. They just Out themselves, they just give honest, evaluation of

  198. where they are so they can grow. James 3 says this out of the

  199. same mouth comes forth, blessing and cursing these things.

  200. My brother ought not to be so there's a fountain, stand forth,

  201. simultaneously from the same opening fresh water.

  202. And bitter water has your word, has your speaking life, what's

  203. coming out your mouth? What you're really saying, how

  204. are you really talking? Not only the words coming out,

  205. but the words in your head too many too many too many too many.

  206. What voices in my hair? Trying to tell me what to do.

  207. Sometimes you gotta watch the voices in your head as well.

  208. The words that come out of your mouth.

  209. What's your word life? Like, what are you talking

  210. lifelike? Right?

  211. You gotta be honest, where are you?

  212. Champions always challenged themselves in those areas.

  213. When things start going wrong, or they're not performing at the

  214. level, they begin to examine. Let me Scout myself.

  215. Let me check my fundamentals. How's my word?

  216. How's my speaky? Because they understand

  217. execution on the fundamentals is the key to consistent success

  218. and development over time. First curtain rings first She is

  219. 13 says this love bears up in under anything and everything

  220. that comes is every ready to believe the best of every

  221. person. It's hopes are fadeless under

  222. all circumstances and it indoors everything.

  223. How's your love life? How's your love walk?

  224. Champion Scout themselves. How's my word?

  225. How's my speaking? How's my love walk.

  226. You got to examine that you got to be honest with yourself

  227. about, where you really are with that.

  228. Are you the fakeness under all circumstances?

  229. Are you always believing the best of every person including

  230. yourself? How can you be?

  231. The believe, the best about me when you spend days on end, not

  232. believing the best about you believe in the worst about you.

  233. Are you believing the best about every person?

  234. You know, the great thing about believing the best about every

  235. person, it doesn't mean that your spit that you're ignorant

  236. of people. It does mean believing the best

  237. means that Redemption is always available.

  238. Grace can always change people's hearts believe in the best is

  239. not ignoring where people are. Like I said earlier, but it's

  240. believing that with the grace of God, it can change and it isn't

  241. have to Forever to change because Grace can change things

  242. in a moment. God can be worth a nation in a

  243. day. He can do a work in a moment.

  244. What scouting scouting is the process of looking at the

  245. details of you apologize. Got a spelling their details of

  246. your opponent to gain an advantage in strategy,

  247. execution, in mindset Scout is the process of looking at the

  248. details of your opponent, the details.

  249. You got to look at the details. You got to be willing to look at

  250. the details of where you are. Scouting, involves a deep in of

  251. every level of the team, the entire organization in order to

  252. gain or tell you the tendencies that were predict future

  253. Behavior, You gotta Scout the front office.

  254. You gotta Scout the janitors. You gotta Scout to concession

  255. people. You gotta Scout everybody.

  256. Why are you scouting the concession people?

  257. Well, the concession people are given such a great experience

  258. that people want to be there longer and they're energized by

  259. it. That's going to create Havoc for

  260. you. You try to play this other team

  261. if the concessions are just trash then you know folk don't

  262. not gonna be there, the energy level going to be low which

  263. means what as I'm Petey make, is that team.

  264. I'm going to have Advantage because the crowd don't want to

  265. be there. you got asked out every level, Or what's happening

  266. your opponents are scouting. You looking for familiar

  267. spirits, poor responses, and uncheck flesh.

  268. Your Pony Scout you they already doing the work that you need to

  269. be doing is scouting yourselves as a champion and opponents

  270. motivated. Right?

  271. Opponent, not impressed by you, they're not gonna believe your

  272. own hype, they're not gonna believe the delusions.

  273. You sell yourself that you're better than you are or deeper

  274. than you are more, a more rooted than you.

  275. Are they not going to believe buy into all of that Acts. 19

  276. says this. But one evil spirit retorted

  277. Jesus. I know and Paul I know.

  278. But who are you? I know that my Scout them.

  279. I know when they show up, I know.

  280. It's like when they own this thing.

  281. I know that Paul is likened unto, Jesus.

  282. I know they come from this thing playing tree or come from the

  283. same school or program of the same coaching tree.

  284. Damn, I know. But I've been scouting you, and

  285. you ain't none of them who you think you are.

  286. That's kind of what he's saying. It's not saying, I don't know

  287. who you are. It's like, bro.

  288. I really you gonna come out here and try to front like you,

  289. Jesus, and Paul broke. Are you?

  290. I know who you are a scout. You on regular a scout.

  291. You in church, I Scout you out of church, a scout you and your

  292. dark time your quiet time. Your private time.

  293. Your car time. Give me your eating time.

  294. I step out you even in your head.

  295. How does any scratching your head?

  296. He watches for the little murmurings of your mouth of

  297. insufficiency and Brokenness and self-doubt.

  298. Come out. These Scouts you, buy your

  299. house, cash in your head. What you spend time listening

  300. to? If you listening to sad songs,

  301. he telling him in my head, I'm sad.

  302. He's got you even in your head by what you expressing in.

  303. Your require personal places look for says this.

  304. And when Devil. It ended every complete cycle of

  305. Temptation he left and they talking about Jesus until a more

  306. opportune to opportunist. Favorable time he's scouting for

  307. opportunity, he's scouting for Ability but also opportunity

  308. when's a good time to get you. If I know you always respond

  309. worse after rejection, almost, and rejection your way.

  310. Now, I got you in rejection mode.

  311. Now, most now I'm a strike the enemy Scouting.

  312. For, when you vote, you need to know that you can eat the Scout.

  313. Those kind of things. You got to know when you're

  314. vulnerable, you got to know when you susceptible to different

  315. things, you got to know what triggers you to have a good

  316. game. You know why you guys know what

  317. triggers you to really great things where, you know, when

  318. when someone says man, you did a really good job Asheville

  319. conference. The conference of God that's

  320. dangerous because You got a trigger to someone can pull.

  321. And can manipulate. Right.

  322. You gotta know what makes you feel good and ask yourself.

  323. Why does that make me feel good? It shouldn't make me feel that.

  324. Good Champions Scout themselves. Blue 14 says, for which of you

  325. wishing to build a farm. Does not first sit down and

  326. calculate the cost whether your sufficient means to finish it.

  327. That's called Scout yourself. Do I really have what it takes

  328. to have the face for this again? What does that mean?

  329. Some people are afraid of that because why they've identified

  330. themselves with failure and to see that they have some progress

  331. to be made triggers in them that they'll never make it versus

  332. assessing. What needs to be done?

  333. Is the first step of walking in the fullness of what I can do.

  334. I can't change what? I don't know, I can't fix what?

  335. I don't know, is broke. I can't build what?

  336. I don't know, it's strong. You gotta sit down.

  337. Ask out yourself. What do I really have?

  338. We're really is my love walk. God wants to take me to this

  339. place. We get these prophetic words,

  340. glorious and great and movie man.

  341. Where am I? Really how rooted am I really in

  342. this church? And who am I going to tell the

  343. truth to about that? Am I gonna walk around

  344. pretending like I'm rooted when I'm not?

  345. I was looking to get out even while I'm in knowing in my heart

  346. I get a better offer and I'm gone.

  347. You got asked out that you got to figure that out.

  348. Champion Scout themselves. Good scouting, makes you be

  349. honest with yourself. Most folk afraid to be honest

  350. with themselves, they want to have a delusion that there are

  351. better than they think they are. And as long as they're not

  352. tested, they happy with it. And then when they get tested

  353. this, what happens, right? This will happen.

  354. Then you get tested and then you find out you're not as good as

  355. you are. No, the first thing you do.

  356. Why didn't you tell me? You begin to look and blame

  357. somebody else? Why didn't you tell me?

  358. I wasn't that good. Why did you let me or the blame

  359. Comes This Way. Why aren't you helping me up

  360. faster? You told me, you got it.

  361. You just got a report told me that you had us, what you told,

  362. be Spots, Don't let you have it. This guy, he makes, you be

  363. honest with yourself. Romans 12 says this, for by

  364. Grace given to me, I warned everyone among you not to

  365. estimate and think of it yourself more highly than you

  366. ought, but the rate your ability was sober judgment.

  367. And according to the degree of Faith, apportioned by God to you

  368. in the wrong with staying only got five minute preaching Faith.

  369. That's all I got. I can do five minutes actually.

  370. I only do three. I'm stretching the five.

  371. Don't get me six. I'm done at five.

  372. Don't give me. Six.

  373. There's nothing wrong with saying that there's nothing

  374. wrong with identifying with where you are with that.

  375. There's nothing wrong with saying I'm tired of this church

  376. thing. I've been doing it for so long.

  377. All I mean it is for the Reps and for the, for the, the

  378. retirement benefits. I'm in it to save face before.

  379. Don't think I'm a heathen. And I really just kind of

  380. walking this thing through, really?

  381. I'm not going to be doing much. I was going to be passing

  382. through and I'm not mature enough to fake the funk.

  383. So everybody else thinks I'm a good Christian and I'm a good

  384. Deeply rooted person but I know the truth.

  385. Ben, you gotta Scout yourself. You gotta be honest with

  386. yourself in terms of where you are.

  387. Mark 9 man said this. A father of a boy who was being.

  388. Tormented by evil spirit, he cried with tears to the Lord

  389. said, Lord, I believe you, but help my weakness of faith.

  390. It was all right, to be honest. Lord, I believe, but help my

  391. weakness. The faith, don't these two

  392. things can exist in the same place, okay?

  393. You can have belief or non-belief past has been talking

  394. about this, right? You're born again, your spirit,

  395. but your flesh is trying to pull you a different way.

  396. You can have things two things exist in the same place.

  397. Question. Is which dog you gonna feed the

  398. dog? You feed, the dog is gonna win

  399. the dog. You love is the one that's gonna

  400. win, right? Those two things can exist in

  401. the same place. Now, how you know that where's

  402. the Bible that you don't Jesus, still got his scars.

  403. She's walking around heaven with scars.

  404. It total Victory but bearing the marks of being being punished

  405. and torment and death in hell, you can have two things exist in

  406. the same place and you got to be honest with that.

  407. I'm this. But I'm this to I'm here, but

  408. I'm here, too. And sometimes we don't want to

  409. admit the ones that we don't like, because we think it's

  422. crippling your progress. It is what it is accountability

  423. is essential. If you're going to scout

  424. yourself, Folk don't want to scout themselves because they

  442. college team, he was on, he was in walking through the hallways

  443. of the New England Patriots and he walked past the quarterback

  444. room and saw that. It's quarterback, coach had left

  445. his scouting report on the table, And so he went and

  450. to really know what people thought about it.

  451. When I know what I'm doing now. I know what I need to grow.

  452. What I need to change, how I need to get there.

  453. A good scouting reports. Counting yourself is the

  454. beginning of greatness. It's not the beginning of your

  455. destruction and the more Fearless you are in your

  456. scouting report of yourself, the quicker, you are to being exit,
