  1. What's going on everybody? You are now listening to the

  2. Lovequest International Church Sermon Podcast.

  3. It's a brand new season. Matter of fact, it's homecoming

  4. season. Sons and daughters are coming

  5. home. So you know what to do.

  6. Get your Bible, get your water, get some coffee, get some tea

  7. and get yourself ready to receive.

  8. The time is now and if you don't know the drill, then you better

  9. learn the motto. Did you love things, man?

  10. Generation, generation, thank you for the opportunity to thank

  11. Y'all. Have a seat.

  12. Thank you for coming. You're showing up.

  13. It's good to see everybody today.

  14. I want to thank our pastors for giving me another opportunity to

  15. share the word and I take care of the people.

  16. You know, when he gives me these opportunities.

  17. The first golden objective is treat the sheep well.

  18. Treat them like the pastor would.

  19. And that's always my hope and my goal.

  20. Hey man, I want to give you a couple tips about today.

  21. And a couple tips are this. Number one, this is going to be

  22. a catching time, say catching time.

  23. It's an impartation time. See what I'm saying?

  24. You're already catching the impartation, right?

  25. It's an impartation. What is impartation?

  26. It means you get something by proximity.

  27. It doesn't necessarily go through your mind, but somehow

  28. it it impacts you in a way where it transforms how you think and

  29. how you act. Hey, man.

  30. So it's important to understand this pastor says the gift that's

  31. before you in the manner so you can know how to receive it,

  32. right? How to catch it?

  33. How to get the most out of it. Amen.

  34. I got a few things I want to drop off for you.

  35. This. You ready?

  36. It says stop letting fear ride you.

  37. You got to learn to put a saddle on your fear and ride it like a

  38. horse. You got to ride it hard and put

  39. it up wet. What that means is you got to

  40. make it submit to you. You got to make it work for you.

  41. Stop letting fear dominate dictate you part of when you say

  42. you ride a horse, what you say is again, try not trying to be

  43. disrespectful any any animal lovers here, things like that.

  44. But it says this means you got to break the horse, right?

  45. The horse understands I can't be wild and run wild and do my

  46. thing. The horse understands that I'm

  47. looking to you. Are we going to be afraid today?

  48. We're not being afraid today. OK, OK.

  49. Whoever that, whoever that's for, do that.

  50. And then you got to decide you're just not going to do it.

  51. Afraid. OK, I may come home, but I'm not

  52. going to be afraid. My stuff might be on the street.

  53. Don't care. But I'm not going to be afraid.

  54. It'll be hard to deal with and hard to see, but I'm not going

  55. to be afraid. We've got to make a decision.

  56. No matter what happens, no matter what it is.

  57. I'm not going to fear, period. So that's just a little

  58. interesting tidbit for you as we begin.

  59. Catch that for whosoever will want to begin.

  60. Today. Today we're in the midst of our

  61. time of prayer and fasting. Today's prayer point is battle

  62. and build. Battle and build.

  63. You see it right there. Battle and build.

  64. Everyone say that. Battle and build.

  65. Battle and build. Battle and build, right.

  66. And our scripture reference is Nehemiah 416 through 20.

  67. So just put that slide up there. I'm gonna have you go to the

  68. verse in just a bit so you can get that queued up and ready.

  69. Nehemiah 416 through 20. But now I want to give you some

  70. context for this, OK? And this comes out of our time

  71. of prayer and fasting during one of the days of praying, fasting

  72. in particular, by the inspiration of the spirit and

  73. preparation of the word. The pastor says you got to learn

  74. how to battle and build. You got to be able to learn how

  75. to do it at the same time. And in this moment, I felt, as I

  76. talked with pastor in this moment, I felt it was important

  77. to develop that little bit. It's part of our word for today,

  78. but I'll just develop that little bit now.

  79. What I want to share today is not exhaustive.

  80. It's my contribution to the work.

  81. OK. You can expect Pastor to make

  82. even more contributions to the work on this, on this matter,

  83. particularly since he got the initial inspiration for it.

  84. But it's just my contribution to be added to it.

  85. It's not wholly definitive, right?

  86. But it's something for you. I think it's going to be

  87. worthwhile. And the and the scripture and

  88. the idea and the reference he used was from this scripture.

  89. If I want to give you some context, don't go to the

  90. scripture. Stay on the slide.

  91. I want to give you some context. OK.

  92. Nehemiah was not a priest. Nehemiah was not a prophet.

  93. Nehemiah worked in the government.

  94. Or Nehemiah worked for Bezos. Either way, OK, Jeff, I'm

  95. talking about Amazon, OK? Nehemiah was in the marketplace.

  96. It's important for you to know that at the time we find

  97. Nehemiah, Nehemiah is part of the people that was carried off

  98. the captivity in Babylon, part of God's people.

  99. Some of them were left in Jerusalem.

  100. Most of them, many of them were carried off into captivity in

  101. Babylon. So Nehemiah is there serving the

  102. king there right now. Why is this important?

  103. Because as we talk about battling and building, don't put

  104. that on the job of the holy people.

  105. Don't put that on the backs and the shoulders of the pastors and

  106. the clergy and the church folks. The word comes from people just

  107. like you in those seats, Those out there in the marketplace,

  108. They were the ones they got the inspiration to go back and

  109. rebuild. They were the ones that carried

  110. the weight. They were the ones that got the

  111. resources. It was mostly their hands that

  112. was there doing the work. OK, So understand the

  113. responsibility that all of y'all have.

  114. OK, You got to catch this. Because why it encourages you

  115. that this word is for you. It ain't for them. the Super

  116. special. the Super holy. the Super.

  117. This. the Super that. This word is for you.

  118. OK, say it's for me. Now gulp.

  119. Do that like because that's responsibility.

  120. You already said it was for you. Now you signed up for it.

  121. Now you got to deal with it. So Nehemiah was a marketplace

  122. person. Nehemiah been carried off and

  123. part of what we hear about it is this.

  124. Nehemiah asked some people, He said, man, how's things back

  125. home? Some people from Jerusalem came

  126. and let him know how things back home.

  127. And they said, man, it's not good, It's just not good.

  128. Walls are down. Gates are burned by fire.

  129. Man, it looks like Wally over there and Nehemiah wept.

  130. You got to care about some stuff.

  131. It got a matter to you. He didn't wept because his house

  132. was in ruins. He wept because his city was

  133. down. See, part of what you have to

  134. understand is the heart burden to battle and build comes from

  135. y'all. Because y'all are out there in

  136. these streets. I didn't say you was for the

  137. streets. I say you was in the streets.

  138. There's a difference, OK, Y'all out there in these streets.

  139. See the people, The Levites were always in the temple place.

  140. They were there before God, but it was y'all that had to walk

  141. past the crackheads all the time.

  142. It was y'all had to walk past the heroin hungover folk.

  143. It was y'all that had to walk past government inefficient, a

  144. government trying to solve problems.

  145. It was y'all that had to walk past businesses raising prices

  146. more than they should. It was y'all that had to walk

  147. past folks in line trying to get a rental place.

  148. And no matter how hard they try, they can't find a place to rent,

  149. even though they may have money to rent it.

  150. You got to care about your city. You got to care about it,

  151. whether here it is, whether you're there or not.

  152. It's not about how much it benefits you.

  153. It's because I got a connection to the city.

  154. And he wept and he was crying and he wept and he sought the

  155. Lord. I'm giving you a general

  156. paraphrase, but in his job in serving the king, he walked into

  157. serve the King one day after hearing all of this.

  158. And if you know anything about faithful servants they don't

  159. manipulate, you walked in there and the King said this man,

  160. what's going on, bro? Paraphrase value King James

  161. people. What's going on, Brother Wrist,

  162. anyway? He said.

  163. Man, I ain't never seen you like this.

  164. You always had joy. Now understand it.

  165. All the times before, when your house was in, when you've been

  166. in captivity, you had joy. Even in the midst of captivity,

  167. you've always had joy. What's going on now?

  168. Pause. They won't say pause.

  169. Excellence always gives you access to authority.

  170. Yes, Sir. OK.

  171. It was his excellence in how he carried himself that caused

  172. authority to look up and say, man, what can I do for you?

  173. Because you've been so excellent in serving me, OK?

  174. And after he he said, man, you're so sad what's going on?

  175. And then he said, How can I be happy when the sepulchers of my

  176. father's, in essence, are unruined because the walls of my

  177. city have been torn down and the gates have been burned?

  178. How can I be happy? How would you feel if the place

  179. where your daddy was buried, the gravestone was kicked over and

  180. foxes and animals running rush out all over it?

  181. How'd you feel? How could you live happy right

  182. now? Understand this by Nehemiah.

  183. Part of what he's doing is he's remembering.

  184. These are not just people that are buried in a grave.

  185. These people represent the testimony of God's faithfulness

  186. to my nation. I stand here because of them.

  187. King, I serve you because of them.

  188. I learned everything that I that about excellence and

  189. faithfulness and and hopefulness because of them.

  190. To battle and build, you got to carry about other generations

  191. other than just yourself. You got to have respect for the

  192. generations that went before you.

  193. You got to have honor for the generations that went before

  194. you. You got to understand where you

  195. come from. You didn't get here on your own,

  196. just folks who suffered and died and prayed and worshipped on a

  197. promise, maybe never really expecting to see the fruit of

  198. it, but hoping that one day someone would see it.

  199. My dad would say this to me. Sometimes got a good dad.

  200. My dad would say this to me sometimes, he says, Son,

  201. sometimes you got to shake the tree knowing that other people

  202. going to eat the fruit. You got to have a generational

  203. context. You got to understand that what

  204. you do matters for the generations that went before

  205. you. OK, You carry something.

  206. You're not here by accident. Your purpose here, something

  207. brought you forth. I think it is while he's a

  208. Baragani, something brought you forth.

  209. What brought you forth, right. You got to understand.

  210. So whether you were born out of rape, you still have purpose

  211. because God put it in you to birth you.

  212. You carry something from generations past and from God's

  213. design and God's desire. No matter how you got into the

  214. earth, no matter what your developmental experience was,

  215. you carry something, Nehemiah said.

  216. Man something. I'm carrying something.

  217. How can I rejoice? And this is the power part, the

  218. powerful part. And This is why you always got

  219. to have redemptive vision. I talked about the other day, it

  220. was redemptive vision, it's vision, redemptive revelation,

  221. it's vision that has comes from revelation and it's designed to

  222. redeem or make new a vision that comes from God revealing

  223. something to you whose purpose is to help people, bless people,

  224. change people, transform people, lift people and make new make

  225. whole. That's what a vision from God

  226. does. That's what redemptive

  227. revelation from vision brings you.

  228. So Nehemiah was carrying that and why is it important?

  229. Because then the king said, man, what you want to do right now,

  230. think about that. Think about that.

  231. Here's what the king says. Annabeth, come in.

  232. Cheers. She bubbly.

  233. She got all them, her teeth and smiles and everything.

  234. Right, she always right. So rather than showing all of

  235. her teeth, she come in one day and shows only four of her

  236. teeth. I'm like, what's going on,

  237. Annabeth? Well, got you.

  238. And she says this. How can I be happy when the

  239. wills of my father's have been filled in?

  240. You know what it's like? The favor that comes with

  241. excellence and faithfulness and that kind of connection with

  242. people. When the authority says, are you

  243. feeling some type of way that makes me feel some type of way,

  244. too? What we going to do about this?

  245. Imagine that. OK.

  246. That's why you go to work. Excellent.

  247. That's why you treat people well, treat people right,

  248. because there'll come a day when you do that, when your boss will

  249. say you feeling some type of way about this, what we going to do

  250. about it. And Nehemiah said he says he

  251. prayed. I don't know if he prayed in the

  252. moment, wouldn't prayed and came back.

  253. He said, well King, how about this?

  254. How about you give me some letters of access to go back to

  255. my town? And how about you give me some

  256. resources to rebuild the wall? And this is what the King said.

  257. Not only this resource, but resources from the King supply.

  258. I'm going to get to that in just a bit.

  259. But this is what he said. How much time you need?

  260. Imagine that. How much time you need.

  261. So when we get to battle and build, understand it's not just

  262. roughnecks. All of a sudden out there,

  263. something comes before battle and build.

  264. A heart becomes before battle and build.

  265. An inspiration comes before battle and build.

  266. There's stuff that prepares you and positions you for the grace,

  267. the anointing and the influence, the access to resources to

  268. battle and build. OK, he said.

  269. How long you need, he said. I told him, see, redemptive

  270. revelation already has. You have an idea of God, what we

  271. going to need, how we going to do this, what's it going to take

  272. to help restore families and generations and those kind of

  273. things. OK, and let's think about that.

  274. Now, it's not said this and it's not mentioned this way in the

  275. text, but understand what he's saying.

  276. He didn't say where you going to get the money from.

  277. He doesn't mean how long you need.

  278. Got you how long you need. Guess what that's going to be?

  279. Paid leave. It's going to be paid leave.

  280. I know. I snorted.

  281. I apologize. Simon, Cut that out.

  282. It's going to be paid leave. It's going to be paid leave.

  283. Got you right Now understand what letters mean.

  284. Letters mean when they see you, They see me.

  285. Stop. What that means is they mess

  286. with you. They mess with me.

  287. They want to come up against you, tell them, mess around and

  288. find out, right? Because when I stand up, I'm

  289. standing up to act. Not to.

  290. Just to profile. OK, them letters.

  291. Now, if you know anything in today's environ digital economy,

  292. right? It's like having your password

  293. to your accounts, right? It's more than just a letter,

  294. right? If I got your password or got

  295. your copy information, I can duplicate you, right?

  296. I can falsify, I can expand the authority that's been given to

  297. me. Understand.

  298. When he gave me this letter, he said, I'm giving you my

  299. identity, you carry everything I got.

  300. And if you understand anything about kings, what I got is not

  301. just about me. Tell my children this.

  302. I'm really spending your money now.

  303. I'm 57. I'm no longer spending my money.

  304. I'm spending your money. What does that mean?

  305. When you carry a King's name, he's saying you carry my heirs

  306. with you, right? So he gets this and he goes,

  307. That's the power that's backing him.

  308. And he asked for resources from the King's Supply.

  309. He says, man, check this out. Ready.

  310. He goes, He says, you got a man named Asaph.

  311. I believe he was a man named Asaph who's the head of the

  312. King's royal forest. How about he give me some

  313. timber, some lumber to go rebuild the wall?

  314. King Lee got it. Now, if you know anything about

  315. Asaph, Asaph was the name given in the Bible and in Psalms to

  316. the worshipper, the one who would write the songs.

  317. OK, so you had worship, caring for the resources to be used to

  318. rebuild the city, not knowing when, not knowing where.

  319. Don't let anybody steal your song, no matter your

  320. circumstance. Because the worship in your

  321. position someday some way is going to be used to release the

  322. Reverend. The redemption and the

  323. restoration of all that you hoped and dreamed for.

  324. When he went and got that wood, worship was in that wood.

  325. Psalms were in that wood. The faithfulness of God was in

  326. that wood. It wasn't just in the ordinary

  327. wood. It carried oil with it when it

  328. went back, and it carried the stamp of a king when it went

  329. back. In those days, if this wood came

  330. from the royal forest, you have to know it was the King's wood.

  331. Otherwise people could steal it and get away with it.

  332. What's the Martin Day example? A Martin Day example is when you

  333. brand a cow or branded an animal with your brand, right?

  334. That's the reason I can have open pastures and our cows can

  335. intermingle because the ones that belong to me got my name on

  336. it, right? And if you mess around and kill

  337. one of mine and you check the mark like bro, we didn't brought

  338. all of that whole mark down all that family all that generation

  339. down on us. So understand when these

  340. resources go back to build a wall, they got the Kingswood.

  341. So when anyone who the folks who came and destroyed the wall when

  342. they took a second look now they got to look at it and go like

  343. oh, oh, it ain't just these folks in this town we fight.

  344. Now it was literally the literally the wood was screaming

  345. out mess around to find out go ahead it's bigger than you go

  346. ahead. And when you understand this is

  347. important the distance between Babylon and Jerusalem and then

  348. you see the King's wood. Part of what it's telling you is

  349. the king will come that distance to defend you.

  350. He'll come from his home to back you up.

  351. All this is the context for Nehemiah.

  352. When he goes to battle and build.

  353. See, there's something that goes into battling and building.

  354. See, it's a mindset you bring to it that helps you battle and

  355. build. If you're trying to develop the

  356. mindset in the midst of it, you can, but it's much harder.

  357. Does that make sense? So put the scripture up, battle

  358. and build. Nehemiah 416.

  359. And from that time forth, half of my servants worked at the

  360. task and the other half held the Spears, Shields, bowls and coats

  361. of mail from that time forth. Well, what happened before that

  362. time they came to build and three folks came out to see him

  363. and said, hey man, uh oh, there's a threat to us.

  364. We run in this area because Jerusalem's walls are down.

  365. There's been folks who counting on Wiley never to rebuild.

  366. Why 'cause that means we run the area.

  367. It's no threat to us. There's folks that's counting on

  368. your remaining dependent. It's called There's folks

  369. counting on your remaining addicted.

  370. There's folks counting on your remaining busted, broken and

  371. disgusted. Why 'cause it serves my purpose

  372. and makes no challenge to me to transform or to change.

  373. All of a sudden redemption comes and rebuilding comes and

  374. restoration comes. Now I'm challenged.

  375. Now, I can't sit here and be the same.

  376. These three folks came and they said, listen, we got to stop

  377. this. So first they tried to stop it

  378. with ridicule. Folks will always come at you to

  379. try to talk you down and make fun of you.

  380. Who you think you are going that church, who you think you are.

  381. I know you talking about I'm brand new, not the one that I

  382. know. You're right.

  383. Because there's a new me in town.

  384. They'll come to ridicule, make fun of you.

  385. Ain't got no strength. You ain't got no might.

  386. You ain't got no resources. Why you?

  387. Why would God choose you? There's people bigger and

  388. stronger and better than you. Why would he choose you?

  389. Really. And God ain't choose you.

  390. For what? Oh, he must have ran out of

  391. options, huh? He must have ran out of rocks.

  392. That's why he chose you. Make fun of you.

  393. Who you? Right.

  394. Ridicule is the first thing to try to get you to come down and

  395. attack you. Then they said we're going to

  396. come in and try to kill you. They never did but all they do

  397. is make threats of it. So fear will come try to get

  398. you. So after all these attacks and

  399. all these are threats, when it says here go back.

  400. And from that time forth we recognize we on a timetable.

  401. Because why I thought the king a certain time there's urgency

  402. about this battle in building, but also we got to get it

  403. restored because this joke was out there going to try to come

  404. at us again. Except from that time forth half

  405. of my servants worked at the task and the other half held the

  406. Spears, Shields and bolts and coats of Mayo.

  407. The leader stood right. The leader stood behind all the

  408. House of Judah. Keep going.

  409. Those who built the wall and those who bore birds loaded

  410. themselves so that everyone worked with one hand and held a

  411. weapon with the other. Who are those that bore the

  412. burdens? The birds were the folks who

  413. were responsible for taking away the demolition work the rubble.

  414. See, you have to understand, when they were building,

  415. brother, all I'm doing is building.

  416. So if so, if a chip flat, if a piece falls off, you got to pick

  417. it up. I ain't got time to pick up the

  418. piece because I'm building. OK, got it.

  419. So those who bore the burdens or those who took the stuff that

  420. didn't look really good, the waste products, the reject, the

  421. rejects. Now it says it doesn't say it

  422. right here, but if you read the context, it says this, that

  423. there was only one thing that threatened to stop the building

  424. of the wall really substantively.

  425. That's when those who had to carry out the the broken parts

  426. began to get really tired, right?

  427. Not dealing with your brokenness is the only thing that can

  428. really stop you from God rebuilding your life.

  429. You got to carry the garbage out.

  430. You got to have strength to be able to deal with the with the

  431. garbage in your life. And when you can't, that's what

  432. church is for, 'cause when I can't deal with my garbage,

  433. she's there to help lift my arms up so my garbage can be dealt

  434. with. And he's there to help lift my

  435. arms up so my garbage can be dealt with.

  436. When I don't think I can make it because my insecurities are

  437. building up on me and beating down on me.

  438. See, that's my garbage. He's able to say to me, man, you

  439. can't. I'm a stand with you.

  440. Go pray through you. Gonna pray you through your

  441. fearfully wonderful mate God got you.

  442. Remember the word of the Lord to you that's carrying out the

  443. garbage so I can continue to build.

  444. And it says this. So they were building one hand

  445. and weapon with the other hand. Keep going.

  446. And every builder had his sword girded by his side and so worked

  447. and he sounded the trumpet was at my side.

  448. And I said to the nobles and officials and the rest of the

  449. people, the work is great and scattered.

  450. And we are separated on the wall one far from another.

  451. And whatever place you hear the sound of the trumpet rally to

  452. us, our God will fight for us. So what we see here is this.

  453. They're building this wall. People are both building and

  454. battling. One hand I'm building the wall,

  455. the other hand I got my sword strapped.

  456. If you believe it, you pose was walk around strapped.

  457. You ain't a punk or punk S punk ET whatever the feminine version

  458. of it is, right? Punk.

  459. Ena. Punkarella, whatever it is,

  460. right? You know what I'm saying, right?

  461. You got me right anyway. You walk around strapped.

  462. You got to do both OK at the same time.

  463. But they did more than walk around battling and building.

  464. They also had to be listening for the sound of the trumpet.

  465. They couldn't be so focused on battling building that they

  466. couldn't hear the call that would change things.

  467. They couldn't be so focused on battling building that when they

  468. heard the call, they went like, I ain't got time to answer the

  469. call to the trumpet, 'cause I'm building in my space, right?

  470. So even if you're battling building, you still got to keep

  471. listening to what God is saying. You still got to keep hearing.

  472. It's like Abraham, When he offered up his son, Isaac, God

  473. told him. Fine, I'm gonna go do that.

  474. He had the knife up, but he kept listening.

  475. Abraham. Abraham.

  476. All right, Lord, I'm not asking you to do that right now.

  477. I got another sacrifice, Right? So they were listening as well

  478. as you battle and as you build. So that's kind of the context.

  479. Everyone got context for Nehemiah.

  480. Now we want to develop it a little bit.

  481. Everyone said develop it. So there's some good stuff.

  482. French cooking and my preaching got the same, Got couple things

  483. in common, one of which is that we always build our flavors as

  484. we go, layer the flavor. Amen.

  485. OK, So with that, with that exposition of that word, I want

  486. to begin the message that my wife goes, oh Lord, he hasn't

  487. even started the message. Jesus let this time stand still

  488. for him. It's an all day thing.

  489. So we're going to do what we can this morning and we're going to

  490. finish up tonight. Amen.

  491. So the title of our message is Build and Battle A Kingdom Key.

  492. Now the word is battle and build, right?

  493. But the title of my message is what Build and Battle.

  494. My message begins pointing towards the word for today.

  495. So if you really want to see how we start here and get there, you

  496. got to come tonight or not. Just be stuck in the middle,

  497. right? Stop.

  498. You got it. But there's a difference in my

  499. view between building and battling and battling and

  500. building. But I want to start a building

  501. and battling because it's the Kingdom key.

  502. You got to build before you battle.

  503. Why? Because building gives you a

  504. reason to battle. What you fighting for.

  505. What does it matter whether you want to lose?

  506. What does it matter whether you sit down and never get up?

  507. What? What does it matter whether you

  508. roll out to bed today or not, if you got, If you're building, it

  509. motivates you to battle. You get purpose right?

  510. And when you understand it's not all about you, you understand.

  511. Even if I don't feel like it, I ain't got time to not feel like

  512. it because other folks are counting on me to carry the

  513. torch forward. Building allows you to get gives

  514. you motivation to battle, gives you a reason to battle, gives

  515. you a focus to battle, and gives you strategy for your battle.

  516. OK, if I'm building a wall, then my battle has to do what?

  517. Be focused around giving me opportunity to build the wall.

  518. I ain't trying to battle just everything.

  519. My battle ain't just wild and loose.

  520. My battle is geared to my build. My battle's designed to help me

  521. breakthrough and press through my build.

  522. OK, building gives you a 'cause. You see those old World War 2

  523. movies and the pilots who flying out to bomb the enemy.

  524. They'll take a picture of their wife or their spouse or their

  525. kid or something, their parent, and they'll put it up there on

  526. the screen right in the windshield.

  527. But I'm flying because when I got my plane flying and all I

  528. hear is bombs exploding and Flack being flown up into the

  529. air and I look to the right, boom, I see my buddies plane go

  530. down and I see the plane in front of me go down.

  531. I got to remember why am I going into the teeth of this battle?

  532. I look at the picture of my wife and my family and my kids and

  533. what it means and my and my culture and my country.

  534. And I say I'm a press on see if you don't have nothing to build,

  535. what's the point of the battle? You got to have a reason to

  536. build, and building helps you give you a reason to battle.

  537. Let's take it to the practical. Well, how do I build in this

  538. context? Part of our prayer and fasting

  539. is about worship and prayer we mean every night.

  540. I ain't trying to just trick back you.

  541. We ain't trying to upsell you. We're trying to show you the

  542. importance of what God is building so you can be in part

  543. of every block that He's building, building the battle.

  544. See Worship builds and prayer battles.

  545. Worship builds and prayer battles.

  546. Worship says God, You're glorious God you're magnificent

  547. God you're faithful God you're the Redeemer.

  548. You give hope to the hopeless. That worship of God gives me a

  549. reason to be on the phone late at night with my brother saying,

  550. man, we're going to get you through this thing.

  551. I bind the enemy in your life and I release the presence of

  552. God in your life. Worship builds prayer battles.

  553. When you understand this, you know, you have to understand.

  554. Then what? You got to be ambidextrous in

  555. this thing, OK? You got to be able to worship as

  556. well as you pray. You can't be weak on one side.

  557. If you're weak on your worship, your wall won't fall.

  558. If you're weak on your prayer, you're going to get destroyed

  559. before you can finish what you're building.

  560. You got to worship as well as you pray.

  561. You got to pray as well as you worship.

  562. And what did I say at the beginning?

  563. Nehemiah was not among the religious class.

  564. That doesn't mean the pastor has to worship and has to pray, and

  565. that mean the clergy has to worship and has to pray.

  566. It means me, the barista got to be able to worship and pray me.

  567. The fitness training got to be able to worship and pray Me, the

  568. student got to be able to worship and pray 'cause I'm out

  569. here, my building, and I'm out of here battling.

  570. Worship builds. It builds the Kingdom.

  571. It builds recognition of God. It builds the acknowledgement of

  572. who he is. And with that revelation, with

  573. that understanding of who God is, prayer cause you to turn and

  574. work again and begin to deal with the issues that try to come

  575. at you. The thoughts, the brokenness,

  576. the flesh that gets in the way. Most of the enemy we have to

  577. deal with, it's not somebody else.

  578. It's the junk we've built up in our lives.

  579. It's the brokenness that's been introduced into our lives.

  580. It's the flesh we've given place to.

  581. It's the tapes that that are created in our head because we

  582. look to the right and to the left that thought we were

  583. supposed to be like them versus the unique one God made me to

  584. be. Worship builds and prayer

  585. battles. Acknowledgement builds and

  586. confidence battles now. If you see this parallel thing

  587. happening, these things are tracked.

  588. Running. That means they're connected.

  589. Worship is driven by the acknowledgement of who God is

  590. and prayers driven by your confidence and Him backing you

  591. in what you're asking. You cannot battle without

  592. confidence. You cannot battle effectively

  593. without confidence. A lot of the effectiveness and

  594. requirement for prayer is just confidence.

  595. Everyone say confidence. Now, if y'all were to be honest

  596. with you, or you to be honest with me, there are people in

  597. here. I'm not going to ask you to

  598. raise your hand. But as people in here right now,

  599. we have no confidence in there, in praying.

  600. Here's your confidence. Who am I?

  601. I know nothing about all of that.

  602. I can't deal with none of that stuff.

  603. That's too deep. I don't know no Bible.

  604. You ready? I just starting to get my life

  605. straight. Are you ready?

  606. Man, what I was doing last night.

  607. You know what I'm saying? I I don't want to be praying

  608. about nothing up here. You know what I'm saying?

  609. Because you know what? No, I was praying PREY, not PRA.

  610. You know what I'm saying? I was.

  611. I don't even be up here, OK? OK, Now Nehemiah's day says

  612. every family built. It says sons and daughters

  613. built. There's no excuse for you

  614. because you don't have confidence in your praying and

  615. you don't need a prayer class of 60 courses in 65 hours to get

  616. confident. You know why?

  617. Because you got a testimony we don't have confidence in how

  618. much you know about prayer. Let your confidence come for

  619. what God has done for you. That's why gratitude is

  620. important. Let me tell you one of the

  621. strongest prayers a once was blind.

  622. Now I see God. Do what you did for him.

  623. Do it for me what you did for me.

  624. Do it for him. God open his eyes the way you

  625. open mind. Help him the way you help me.

  626. Now what about the person who walked in?

  627. We talked about that was EY and versus EY.

  628. And last night, you made it here today.

  629. God, I thank you. Your God didn't give up on me.

  630. When I'm running roughshod. When I'm when I'm this arrogant

  631. in my running away from you, God, I thank you, God, that you

  632. follow me and you keep me. You brought me here.

  633. You don't quit on me. You don't give up on me.

  634. God. You need confidence in your

  635. prayer, and you get confidence comes from your testimony.

  636. What has God done for you? What has God done in your life?

  637. When you worship, you acknowledge who he is and what

  638. he's done. That's where your confidence and

  639. prayer comes from. So you can both build and you

  640. can battle. We see it all through the

  641. scripture. I want to go one more tithing

  642. builds offering battles. Tithing builds offering battles.

  643. OK. Thank you.

  644. I try to give good stuff. You know, I'm thinking I'm back

  645. there thinking like it's trash. I want to give him this, you

  646. know, But no, but Amen. No, I'd appreciate that.

  647. Right. Tithing.

  648. Bills offering battles. OK, when I finish today, worship

  649. team is going to come up. We won't have a time of worship,

  650. but a time for you to give into the Remnant project.

  651. There'll be some tables presented at that time up here

  652. and Baskets will be up here for you to be able to give into the

  653. Remnant project. It's like same thing as building

  654. a wall for Nehemiah, OK, but I want to give you some

  655. exhortation into that. Tithing builds.

  656. If you understand tithing, tithing represents 10th.

  657. That means complete in many ways.

  658. I talked about this a little while ago, but it means it

  659. represents a response to God's blessing.

  660. Tithing was Abraham's idea. Melchizedek came down, met

  661. Abraham on the way from a victory, Melchizedek said.

  662. I'll bless you and Abraham said, man, I'm going to give you a

  663. 10th as a representative of God, Do the work and carry on the

  664. ministry of God, man. Tithing builds.

  665. What does tithing mean? If you go to Deuteronomy,

  666. tithing is what you say over what you give.

  667. Tithing is God. This I have, It represents my

  668. life. You're the God who brought me

  669. out of bondage. You're the God who delivered me.

  670. You're the God who saved my life.

  671. You're the God who prospered me. You're the God who delivered my

  672. ancestors from bondage. You're the God who gave hope to

  673. my grandmama and my grandfather. You're the God.

  674. Tithing is that recognition of what God has done from that time

  675. to this, that to bless you and put you in a position to be able

  676. to release that 10th That builds.

  677. Offering is what battles Now who's that calling me?

  678. Testimony. Everyone say testimony offering

  679. Battles What is offering? Offering is the seed.

  680. Beyond the tie offerings, what fights for you?

  681. Offering is what the God of hosts comes and backs.

  682. OK, I'll put it to you very clearly this way.

  683. In Genesis it says this. After the Senate occurred and

  684. the enemy came in and this and and deceive Eve and Adam

  685. rebelled. He said, I'm going to send a

  686. seed and that seeds going to make war on you, boy.

  687. That seeds going to bruise your head and you going to bruise his

  688. heel. That seeds going to be the way

  689. to victory, conquering, transformation, redemption,

  690. revelation and undoing all that you thought you did.

  691. Here. My seed is going to get the job

  692. done, my seeds gonna do that even in ways that my word won't.

  693. Even though the seed meaning Jesus was The Word Alive.

  694. Your offering is what releases the battle.

  695. Your offering says I'm sowing into something for life to be

  696. transformed. Your offering says God has been

  697. so good to me. I'm putting my resources to work

  698. in ways that allow other people to benefit from what God has

  699. done. Your offering is what fights for

  700. you, and God fights for your offering because it sees you

  701. together in this thing. So there is no real victory.

  702. There is no rebuilding the wall without prayer or without

  703. giving. Giving is what helps put your

  704. battle to work. Hey man.

  705. So we will have a a moment in just a bit you get anything out

  706. is today so far OK, good. Encourage you to come and to be

  707. here for the evening because there's so much more.

  708. I'm not going to go over a lot of introduction about me and my

  709. I'm going to get to some other things.

  710. I encourage you to receive that. So I'm going to pray just a bit.

  711. If there everyone can get things ready for the Remnant offering

  712. for your regular ties and offerings.

  713. You give those at the back in just a moment.

  714. So what we're going to do right now is guess what, put it to

  715. work. Everyone say put it to work.

  716. I love it when God gives us the opportunity to prove His word.

  717. Hey man, so, so, so our worship team is going to lead us in the

  718. building, right? And it's going to be an

  719. opportunity for you to come and participate in what the Remnant

  720. project, what God is doing in the battling.

  721. And together as they lead us in building and through our

  722. resources and our giving, we go forth in battling together.

  723. We going to get this wall built together.

  724. The city going to be restored together.

  725. The the faith of our fathers is going to be honored in the midst

  726. of what we're doing here. Father, we thank you for this

  727. opportunity. And for this time.

  728. Thank you for revelation that girds us and guides us.

  729. And away we should go. Thank you, Father, for

  730. generosity that fills this room. Thank you, God, for hearts.

  731. Open that. Fill this room, God, we thank

  732. you for your teaching us the ways of God so we can be

  733. intentional about rebuilding and building your Kingdom and

  734. building what you're all asking us to do.

  735. Everywhere we go, always, all the time.

  736. Lord, we're so grateful to you for this opportunity.

  737. And together we can't be defeated, because together our

  738. trust is in you. But God bless these gifts, cause

  739. them to do much work towards the remnant project.

  740. God bless the givers and extraordinary way for those that

  741. get given regular tithes and offerings.

  742. Lord God bless them, and cause those things to be multiplied

  743. unto them too as well. We're so grateful to participate

  744. in what you're doing and to know the names of our families will

  745. be written. And I'll say this, If you go

  746. back in Nehemiah, what you'll read there are two or three

  747. chapters that are just written about the names of the people

  748. who helped build the wall. Because it's important to God to

  749. let you know I see you and your contribution.

  750. I see you and what you did. And for all the days that the

  751. Bible continues, the world will know that I see your

  752. contribution to that day, to that place, to that building in

  753. that time. Amen.
