Some people say I don't deserve it, but one thing I know is I
-
have purpose. And while people don't, you know
-
that you can see you've been working.
-
You've never seen that one door closes.
-
Keep us to see like I did the Moses.
-
It's not to judge me. He turns around and doesn't fit
-
me. It's my God.
-
He ain't working. Yeah, that's nothing to do what
-
you're looking to do with me. All that.
-
You got it. None.
-
None. None.
-
Good morning. Good morning.
-
Good morning. How's everybody doing today?
-
Good. How's everybody doing today?
-
Good. Awesome.
-
Oh, I heard it all the way from the back.
-
That was amazing. Welcome so much to our 11:30 AM
-
experience. Are you guys excited to be in
-
the House of the Lord? Amazing.
-
Amazing. I just want to also say welcome
-
to our online family as well. Always so good when you're
-
streaming. We love you, We love you, we
-
love you. So as they're just pulling up a
-
verse that I want to read, you know, we just actually went into
-
a week of prayer and fasting and then we ended it with a 2024
-
hour prayer, which was incredible.
-
So so I heard, sorry, I was out of town, but I felt the power.
-
But the cool thing is about about that kind of a monumental
-
thing. This is our first time praying
-
overnight all the way into the morning is that we don't
-
actually have to start anything from scratch.
-
We're just building off of what we already have put into the
-
ground, right? We're just building on top of
-
the the new thing that God is doing.
-
And so with that in mind, I want to read this verse just to
-
encourage everybody, but also for you to have something to
-
hold on to. And it says, There is none like
-
unto you among the gods, O Lord, neither are there works like
-
unto yours. All nations whom you have made
-
shall come and fall down before you, O Lord, and they shall
-
glorify your name, for you are great and work wonders.
-
You alone are God. And so we let's just go into a
-
moment of praise and prayer. We thank you God, if you, if you
-
want to stand, like feel free to stand and move around.
-
This is your home as much as it's mine.
-
So Father God, we thank you that we get to come together, all
-
nations, all tribes, and all tongues.
-
We get to worship you, you alone, our God, we thank you,
-
Father God, that you are doing a new thing and never seen before.
-
Father God, in each and every one of our lives and us as a
-
church, us as a community, Father God, we thank you that
-
you are doing new things. Father God, I thank you that you
-
have given us the eyes to see the new things because we might
-
not recognize it, because it's so brand new.
-
Father God, so will we will we forget the former thing, how we
-
thought we knew you what we've seen you do Father God, because
-
you are about to do a brand new thing, Father God for us.
-
And so we thank you that you are taking us from glory to glory.
-
You're taking us from level to level.
-
You're taking us from strength to strength Father God, even our
-
capacity to worship is going longer.
-
Our capacity to pray is going longer Father God, because
-
you're doing a brand new thing in US.
-
Father God, so I thank you we we glorify you and we worship you
-
today for you are mighty to to be praised.
-
There is no one like you you are eternal and you never change no
-
matter the seasons, you never change no matter the
-
circumstances, you remain the same Father God and so because
-
you are a faithful God, we come together and we worship you this
-
morning. We love to sing your praise
-
because you have done mighty works.
-
There's no other God that compared to the works that you
-
do, Father God. And so we praise you in advance
-
for the healing that you're doing in our minds.
-
We're praying, praising you in advance, Father God, for the
-
healing you're doing in our families.
-
We're praying using you for in advance already for the healings
-
and mighty wonders that we're going to see you do because we
-
have seen you do it over and over and over and over again.
-
So we praise you, We praise your mighty name.
-
We glorify you because you are faithful.
-
You are the same God in the Old Testament.
-
You're the same God in the New Testament.
-
And guess what, guys? Same God today, same God today,
-
same God today. And so as you were doing a brand
-
new thing for the Israelites back then, you're doing brand
-
new things for Love Quest today, Father God.
-
And so we thank you that you've split the sea before and you're
-
going to split the sea again. Father God, we thank you and we
-
praise you today, this beautiful, beautiful morning.
-
We thank you, Father God. Is there something that you're
-
thankful for that you've got woken up today, that you
-
actually have a clear mind that you got here safely?
-
I mean, those, those Vancouver roads, I don't know.
-
So thank you, God, for getting us here safely, Father God, that
-
we have hands that we can raise to worship you.
-
Father God, we thank you that you've given us voices so that
-
we can praise your holy name. Father God, we thank you that
-
you've given us limbs so that we can move and we can worship
-
Father God to bring you glory. And even if we have nothing
-
else, we say thank you, God, for you've already done it all when
-
you gave your life and when you rose again, and when you gave us
-
your Holy Spirit, you have done it all.
-
And if you do no other thing, we will praise you for the rest of
-
our days, because you are a good God and you've done it all for
-
us. So we praise you today.
-
We want to worship you today. We praise you, Father God, we
-
want to worship you today. So will you just stand up with
-
us as we go into a moment of worship?
-
Those hands that we talked about, you can clap them.
-
Those, the voice that God's given you, use that to worship
-
your Heavenly Father today. Amen.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
I know you're moving on and what is there is freedom.
-
There is freedom. So come out of the dark just as
-

So come out of the dark. Just as you are into the
-
fullness of your life, so come out of the dark if you want.
-
Hey, come out of the dark if you want you to.
-
The phone is on in the love or the spirit is here.
-
Then let me read. Shut it out.
-
Let him be read out, 'cause this is the the nose.
-
If your breathing is for you an empty grave, but life has
-
changed. It all points to Jesus name and
-
then you'll be touching. There are nothing to do that.
-
Jesus loves you. Yes, church, I just want to say
-
that the God who forged you and knew you before you were in your
-
mother's womb, His spirit is alive and it is active.
-
He is the God of restoration. He is the God of healing.
-
He is the God who has finished it all.
-
But it's just getting and He is here today to remind you that He
-
not only loves you, but He has given you His spirit so you can
-
walk in fullness of peace, in fullness of joy in His love and
-
His resurrection life. So if you are ready to worship
-
the King of glory today, give Him one shot of praise in Jesus
-
name, Amen. Amen.
-
Amen. Let's keep worshipping y'all.
-
Because you're still saving, it's the
-
same guy. You're still eating.
-
It's the same guy, still creator.
-
Guess what? You won't change your home
-
change. You're the same guy, never
-
really go home and we're in the same life.
-
We said. We won't change our eyes.
-
You won't change on the same line.
-
My God, you never ever, ever when they come, when we call you
-
the same God, You are holy, holy, holy.
-
You are holy, the same God and he's making a way.
-
Hold me my promise, I'll provide the same God.
-
He keeps on healing and working and making ways to redeem my
-
hair, redeem my the same God. Do we get 2 minutes doing it
-
all? The
-
But we do it all again. He's to win it all again.
-
He's to win it all again. String it out.
-
He's to win it all again. He won't change.
-
He's the same God. If that's your testimony, lift
-
in the South, He's never ready. He's your same God and he's
-
holy, holy, holy. Is the Lord the same God?
-
How many know that there's no name like the name of Jesus?
-
Like the matchless name of Jesus?
-
Y'all ready to continue praising his name today?
-
Let's go like this. Who is my God?
-
Oh, he's right. Nobody.
-
Who's my Lord? Say no, no, no, no.
-
Nobody. Say it.
-
My God. Stop her.
-
Who can be your picture? Who can be you will keep this
-
problem. Oh, yeah, there's nobody like
-

-
lover of evil, Don't you? You will keep us from it.
-
Oh, yeah. Nobody like you.
-
Nobody like you. You will keep this problem.
-
You will keep this problem. Oh, yeah.
-

-
local Jesus. You will keep this problem.
-
Oh yeah, there is none heaven or earth like you.
-

-
There is none in heaven or earth like you.
-
Oh, come on, put some steak on it.
-

-
There is no one like you. Oh, who is like nobody?
-
Who is like nobody? Who is like no, no, no, no, no.
-

-
Give the Lord a shout of praise this morning.
-

-
you have new breath in your body.
-
Come on, give him a shout of praise this morning.
-
Hallelujah. Who is like the Lord?
-
Y'all say Nobody. Who is like the Lord?
-

-
back? Who is like the Lord?

do right now? Do you know what the rumor is?
-
What's the rumor? What's the rumor?
-
What's the rumor? Anna?
-
I think we wrote a song. What should we sing in Love
-
Quest? Should we sing in Love Quest?
-
I think we should sing it out. Come on, Anna, let's sing it
-
out. Let's go.
-
Come on, y'all know we can sing it loud, no?
-
Matter where you come from. Sing it out loud cross.
-

-

-
to 10, you can head over to the back And before you take your
-
seat you're going to look to your name and say I hope you
-
expect it for today. I need that little bit of
-
attitude too. Ryan.
-
You got to say a little attitude.
-
Mackenzie, I hope you're ready for what's going to happen
-
today. Y'all can go ahead and take your
-
seats. I hope you're expectant.
-
Yes, God is good all the time. Hallelujah.
-
You know I'm here to speak about our remnant project.
-
Who's remnant project? Ours.
-
You know what a fantastic thing God is doing?
-
For those who are not aware of what the Remnant project is, we
-
are working on the building the other side of this wall and
-
that's going to become our new worship centre as well.
-
We're working on changing the building over here to become our
-
creative hub where people can engage in all sorts of creative
-
activities, recordings, all sorts of things that we can do
-
here out of Love Quest. And so it's a powerful project
-
that we're at work in. It's a great work, great work.
-
So hard work sometimes. Now, who here has ever done like
-
a renovation on their house? OK, whoever, who here has ever
-
built a house? I know a few people who've built
-
a house before. When you're building a house, it
-
takes work, it takes planning and it takes finances.
-
And you know what? We are working, we're working
-
hard to see what God will do in this place.
-
And this remnant project is going to be a powerful impact on
-
the community. So we're working right now to
-
get a specific goal. Who remembers how much we were
-
looking to raise? Who remembers 200,000?
-
That's right. That's what we're working
-
specifically to, to get into the hands of the contractors to make
-
sure that they've got all they need to keep working on the
-
other side here. So I wanted to just share a
-
couple of things. In Luke chapter 21 and verse one
Luke 21 chapter mention
-
to four, Jesus observed all the wealthy coming into the temple
-
courts wanting to be noticed as they came with their offerings.
-
And he noticed a very poor widow who dropped off two small copper
-
coins in the offering box. Listen to me, he said.
-
This poor widow has given a larger offering than any of the
-
wealthy, for the rich only gave out of their surplus, but she
-
sacrificed out of her poverty and gave to God all that she had
-
to live on. You know, there's a power in
-
sacrifice, and sacrifice means more than money.
-
We sacrifice our time. We sacrifice our life.
-
In Romans 12, verse one, he talks about us giving our lives
-
as a living sacrifice unto God and that being our reasonable
-
expectation. There's a power in that.
-
There's a power in sacrifice. You see, it's not equal giving,
-
it's equal sacrifice. I want to encourage you today.
-
If you haven't taken the opportunity to sow a seed into
-
the remnant project yet, I want to encourage you that that seed
-
has power. That seed has power, yes,
-
because as you give it, the Lord will give.
-
But that seed has power because it will speak to generations.
-
Now we're working for this $200,000 and I want to give you
-
a praise report because this last week we received towards
-
that 200,000 thirty $9238 Praise God.
-
Now that's a praise report, man. God is good, but not but I'm not
-
going to say but and we continue and we continue.
-
We continue pressing. We're going to crush this goal.
-
We're going to keep on giving. We're going to keep on sharing.
-
We keep keep on loving those generations that are to come.
-
I want to encourage you, if you haven't given, give.
-
If you have given, give. But what God's going to do in
-
this house will be a reflection of his power at work in this
-
community. So there's going to be ways to
-
give. You can see on the screen and
-
after the service, if you go to a guest services table, they can
-
help you with the giving towards the remnant project.
-
Father, thank you that you are doing a great work.
-
I thank you, Lord. We're stepping in and owning
-
this work. We're owning this as our
-
project, our home because this is the place, Lord, we're going
-
to see families touched. This is the place where our
-
families are going to be set free.
-
I think a law of families going to grow in this house.
-
Families going to be raised up in this house.
-
Lord, there's leaders, there's business people, there's,
-
there's musicians. Lord, there's great blessing and
-
creative juices being brought up in this house.
-
Lord, I thank you for the power of what you're going to do.
-
And Lord, we praise you that we have the opportunity to step in
-
and be part of what you're doing in Jesus name, Amen.
-
Amen. I want to invite you all to
-
stand back up with us as we continue to worship in this
-
place. I just want to say thank you,
-
Church, for being a house that presses.
-
I want to say thank you for being a house that praises.
-
I want to say thank you for being a house that shows up when
-
you could be somewhere else. I want to say thank you for not
-
giving up on the word of the Lord.
-
I want to say thank you to all of you for pressing into what he
-
has spoken and for not letting the discouragements of life.
-
Keep. You from coming into his house,
-
God is is restoring his bride. And this morning I just felt the
-
father wanted to encourage you and say thank you as much as we
-
thank him. He wanted to this morning to say
-
thank you for showing up. Thank you for pressing, thank
-
you for believing, thank you for contending, thank you for
-
fighting on behalf of others. And so this morning it is the
-
first Sunday of July, which is why I think we're more than
-
halfway through the year. Is that right?
-
Is this month 7 y'all God has been good in the first half and
-
he is the God of glory to glory and face to face.
-
So I know the latter 6 months holds more in store than the
-
first six months. And so this morning, every first
-
Sunday of the month, we share communion together as a body and
-
the the fishy cracker represents Jesus's body who is broken for
-
us so that we can walk in wholeness and it's it's a fish
-
because he also calls us Fisher of men.
-
So it's also a remembrance of our covenant with him, not just
-
his side of the covenant, but our side in response to his
-
finished work, that we will be a people that go and make
-
disciples of all nations. And the Jews represents his
-
blood that washed you. Queen, if you didn't know, I
-
have good news for you that your sins have been remitted, that
-
the past is behind you and you have permission and authority to
-
leave what was behind you behind you once and for all and walk
-
into the fullness of what God has for you.
-
And so as we continue to worship and we sing this song, I want to
-
invite you to come and share communion with us.
-
You can come at any point. You can come with your family,
-
your loved ones, come by yourself.
-
You can take it out the altar, take it out your seat.
-
We're not going to pause and do it all together, but we are
-
going to do it together in this moment of worship, in
-
remembrance of our King of Kings, the one who saved us, who
-
delivered us, who has cleared our conscience of sin.
-
Church, He is for you and not against you today.
-
So I invite you, as we continue to worship, to come and take and
-
remember the goodness of God in your life.
-
There's a grace when the heart is under fire now, the way when
-
the wall is closing in. When I look at the space between
-
where I used to be in this reckoning, I know I will never
-
be alone. There was another in the fire
-
standing next to me. There was another in the war
-
holding back the sea should I ever need a body of how I've
-
been set free. There is a cross that bears the
-
burning where another died for me.
-
There was another in the fire. There was another in the fire.
-
Oh, there was another in the fire.
-
Oh, there was another in the fire.
-
Oh, my dad, never dead at me, no longer a slave to my sin.
-
Any war that's. Good news Should I fall in the
-
space between what remains of me and the Shrek and me in the way
-
I won't bow to the things of this world I know.
-
Hey I. Know I will never be alone.
-
There is another in the fire. Turn it back to me.
-
There is another ring of waters holding back the sea.
-
Should I? Ever be reminded?
-
Will thou set me free? There is a train that holds
-
nobody tower. Is it being there with another
-
Ring of Fire? There is another in the fire
-
there. Is another in the fire?
-
See the night hit the darkness as the darkness bow to him.
-
I can feel the roar hit the heavens and the space between
-
western. I can feel the ground shaken me,
-
the earth and the prison walls paving.
-
No, this is between us. I can see the light.
-
You see the light in the darkness, and the darkness falls
-
to hell. I can kill.
-
The roar in the heavens has the space between resting.
-
I can feel the love shaping these ass has the bridge in the
-
walls came in. Now there's in between.
-
Now there's in between. Now there's in between.
-
Now this, in between. Now this, in between.
-
Now this in between, Now this in between, now this in between.
-
And you shut the phrase. Now this is between, now this is
-
between. But I can't say to see the light
-
in the darkness and the darkness down to him.
-
I can hear the road in the hand. There's a space between West.
-
End. I can fill the ground, shaping
-
me as the breeze. Been, won't he?
-
Then now this in between us, Now this in between us.
-
Thank you, Jesus, for setting me free.
-
Poor There is no other name but the name that is Jesus.
-
There is no other name but the name that is Jesus.
-
Come on. There is no other name but the
-
name that is Jesus. There's no other name.
-
There is no other name but the name that is Jesus.
-
No other name. There is no other name of the
-
name that is Jesus. Oh, there's no other name.
-
There is no other name of the name that is Jesus.
-
There is no other name of the name that is Jesus.
-
He was He who wanted to live and will be through it all.
-
It's come what may in the space between all the things that see
-
in this reckoning, I know I will never be alone.
-
I know I will never be alone. There'll be another in the fire
-
standing next to me. Be another in the waters holding
-
back the sea should I ever need for my knee.
-
Oh, I'll count the joy. Come, everybody.
-
If I do this. Count the joy.
-
Come, everybody. Come on.
-
You'll never leave me. You'll never forsake me.
-
You've died. And you and you live for me.
-
The righteous are never forsaken.
-
Hallelujah. Just give him your hand, give
-
him a handcuff of praise right now, just in his face for what
-
he's done. That he'll never leave us, never
-
forsake us. And that's the promise in Jesus
-
name, Amen. Amen.
-
Amen. It is with great pleasure that
-
we get to hear mighty Women, Women and men of God share the
-
word today. You have a full course meal, not
-
just one, not just two, not just three, but four people that have
-
gone to the Lord on behalf of you to hear what He has for you
-
today. And I know that there is a word
-
in season if you open up your heart and perceive it.
-
And so I pray that you have ears to hear and eyes to see today as
-
the word is shared. And so I need you guys to help
-
me give the biggest, warmest shout and welcome to our feet
-
first speaker, which is teacher. Happy we love you girl.
-
Speak the word today in Jesus name.
-
Hey everybody, first of all, we are a House of honor at Love
-
Quest and I want to give honor where honor is due and give
-
thanks to Pastor Terrance and Pastor Julia for giving me the
-
honor of this opportunity. You guys have loved me, you guys
-
have equipped me, y'all have mobilized me, and you guys
-
continue to serve me. You have lived out the vision in
-
my life and I'm forever grateful for all that you continue to
-
pour into me and into this house.
-
And so may the Lord bless you, may He keep you, may his face
-
shine upon you, may He be gracious towards you and may He
-
give you an immense peace in Jesus name.
-
Let's dive into this. Word.
-
So I am Pastor Terence has been doing a series called Pop
-
Culture and the pop is an acronym, which is a fancy way to
-
say each letter stands for a word.
-
And the pop that I'm going to dive into is he was talking
-
about like the the pupil of praise or what our our vision
-
can do to our praise. But my twist on it is the praise
-
over perspective because our perspective matters and we're
-
going to dive into Isaiah 43 today and see just how much it
-
does matter. So Isaiah 43 verse one starts
-
saying, but now in spite of past judgments for Israel's sins.
-
Thus says the Lord who created you, O Jacob, and he who formed
-
you, O Israel, fear not, fear not, for I have redeemed you and
-
ransomed you by paying a price instead of.
-
Leaving you. Captive.
-
I've called you by name. By your name, you are mine.
-
So First things first. There is a command, and the
-
command is to fear not. And this command is absolutely
-
key because fear is a filter that corrupts our vision.
-
Fear is a filter that distorts our perspective.
-
And if we are living with the glasses of fear on, then
-
everything we absorb is laced with offense, is laced with with
-
fear, is laced with bitterness, is laced with regret.
-
It poisons our perspective because if we are trusting in
-
fear, we're not trusting in God. It's the opposite, anytime
-
you're not trusting in God, it's either the flesh which is
-
subject to sin, AKA is the enemy.
-
And that's not a good look for us as believers and it's not
-
God's best for us, nor is it His intention for us.
-
So it is essential before we move on to understand that fear
-
is a perspective that you must break right now in the name of
-
Jesus, so that you can see clearly and look full upon his
-
wonderful face and in return see yourself through his eyes.
-
Because also our perspective determines our praise.
-
What comes out of our mouth is our praise, good or bad.
-
And so if we come from a place of fear that causes us to
-
release a poisonous praise and that corrupts a word that has
-
gone forth, now God's Word will continue to go out and it will
-
not return to Him void. But woe to us who have sullied
-
the Word, who have rubbed our own little dirt on the word
-
because of misunderstanding or fear or or not having clear
-
vision of who we are in Christ. Because our life actually is
-
also a testimony, our life in everything we do, we should live
-
lifestyles of praise. And so our lifestyle actually
-
helps us identify what we praise.
-
Because what you praise isn't just a song you sing, it's what
-
you meditate on. Our meditations are our worship.
-
And so if we meditate on anything other than like
-
Philippians 4 says anything good, pleasing, lovely,
-
acceptable to God, if we meditate on anything other than
-
that, it's actually meditations that lead to death.
-
And our meditations, what we dwell on, what we think on what
-
we run through our head is our worship.
-
And So what that means is it's idol worship, a, it's empty, But
-
also if anything, that if anything commands our thoughts
-
and obtains our brains. You know, when you get that
-
like, obsessive thought pattern and it's not good and it leads
-
you kind of down this spiral, that is a plan of the enemy to
-
keep you trapped. And what you end up doing is
-
actually worshipping false realities, distorted
-
perspectives. And you're worshipping idols
-
because idols are a false reality.
-
Idols are a distorted perspective of who God is.
-
And So what we need to do is to set our minds on things above,
-
not on things below. And when our minds are set on
-
things above, we actually live out a lifestyle of worship,
-
casting down all idols and fixing our eyes on the one who
-
can abolish every fear. So fear not.
-
Verse one also dives into this idea of being redeemed and
-
ransomed. And all you need to know is to
-
be redeemed is to be bought back.
-
To be ransomed is if someone, if you're in prison and someone
-
pays your ransom, that means your debt to society has been
-
paid and you are now free to walk in the freedom you had
-
before you were held captive. And so you have been bought
-
back. Your ransom has been paid in
-
full through the blood of Jesus so you can walk freely without
-
fear in the authority that God has given you.
-
We do not need to fear. We have been called by name and
-
our freedom was purchased by the shedding of the blood of the
-
Lamb. And what's beautiful about
-
Isaiah is it's Old Testament. Jesus hasn't even come yet.
-
He hasn't been born. The Angel hasn't even announced
-
to Mary what's about to happen. Mary hasn't even been born yet.
-
God generation after generation, there is no boundaries to His
-
greatness. No eye has seen, ear has heard.
-
He is not done yet. God is always in the process of
-
working things together for His good.
-
So regardless of what happened back, regardless of what's going
-
to happen, as long as you stay submitted to God and keep your
-
perspective aligned with His, your steps will become aligned
-
with His and you will walk according to His plan and His
-
purpose and you will see prophecy fulfilled.
-
This was released by Isaiah hundreds of years before.
-
Jesus was everything and Jesus birth, life, death,
-
resurrection, ascension was the fulfillment of that prophecy and
-
gives us the ability to fear not because we are redeemed.
-
We have been ransomed and now we can walk in His name knowing we
-
are called, we are chosen, a chosen people, a royal
-
priesthood. Verse two says when you pass
-
through the waters, I will be with you and through the rivers
-
they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire,
-
you will not be burned or scorched.
-
No wood, the flame kindle upon you.
-
And I love, love, love that because it's the song we just
-
sang in the waters, the Red Sea. He's with us and he reminds us.
-
He brings us into remembrance of that.
-
There'll be another in the fire standing next to me.
-
There'll be another in the waters holding back to the sea
-
should I ever need reminding of the power that set me free.
-
There is a cross that holds nobody, and that power lives in
-
me. So that's the purpose of verse
-
3. Verse two is to remind you, the
-
God who was still is, and the God who is, is to come.
-
The same God that split the Red Sea is your God to split your
-
Red Sea. The same God that saved and
-
preserved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
-
He's there to preserve you from the fire, preserve you from the
-
difficulties of life, preserve you from the heat that comes and
-
tries to destroy. And you shall walk out, not even
-
not burned, but without the stench of smoke, even in your
-
hair. He will protect you.
-
He did it before and he's doing it all again.
-
Verse three to four says, For I am the Lord your God, the Holy
-
One of Israel, your Savior. I give Egypt to the Babylonians
-
for your ransom, and Ethiopia and Seva a province of Ethiopia
-
in exchange for your release. Because you are precious in my
-
sight and honored, and because I love you, I will give men in
-
return for you, and peoples in exchange for your life.
-
When I read this I was like, God, what the heck?
-
What does that mean? What do you?
-
Mean you'll give people in exchange for my life.
-
I thought you like love the people and all this stuff.
-
I was like, Lord give me understanding.
-
And he said this. He said, Effie, pay attention.
-
Egypt was Israel's enemy, enslaved them for 400 years.
-
Then after that, Babylon came and again enslaved the people,
-
held them captive. And So what God is saying is,
-
look, Israel, I'm taking your enemies and I'm paying your
-
ransom with them. I'm taking your enemies and I'm
-
putting them in captivity of your enemies.
-
And while your enemies turn against each other, they're too
-
distracted to notice you're walking out.
-
You're walking free. He is the God of all things.
-
So regardless of your circumstances, regardless of
-
your enemies, and what you feel is so impossible to overcome,
-
know that my God works all things together for your good.
-
And He will turn your enemies against each other so that you
-
can walk in His freedom. Fear not, Fear not.
-
He gave their enemies into the hands of their enemies as a
-
ransom for their freedom. It's as simple as that.
-
And He is fighting our battles by turning our enemies against
-
each other, allowing us to go free.
-
Can you say go free? Say go free.
-
Amen. Verse five to seven says fear
-
not. We get it again.
-
Fear not. Look what I've done in the past.
-
Fear not, for I am with you. I will bring your offspring from
-
the east, gather you from the West.
-
I will say to the north give up, and to the South keep not back.
-
Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the
-
earth, and even everyone who is called by my name.
-
For I have created, for my glory, whom I have formed, whom
-
I have made. Sons and daughters are coming
-
home. The word says it, and I believe
-
this is a word for our house. Everything that has been spoken
-
in this chapter, I believe God is speaking it over.
-
Love quest. He says love quest.
-
Fear not, we are not. Sons and daughters are coming
-
home. I will turn your enemies against
-
each other. Stay aligned with my path, my
-
plan, my purpose, my word. Don't look to the left, Don't
-
look to the right. Don't look back.
-
I got you. I'm behind.
-
Now walk forward. Sons and daughters are coming
-
home. So we need to be obedient so we
-
can create a house that can steward and cultivate God's
-
children. Now verse 10, he says you are my
-
witnesses, says the Lord, my servant whom I have chosen, that
-
you may know me, believe me, remain steadfast to me and
-
understand that I am he, period. I am he before me.
-
There was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
-
And he just goes on to really big up himself, which he can do
-
because he is God. But what's important for you to
-
understand is that you are a witness and a witness is a
-
person that sees an event take place.
-
Understand you're a person that sees a person that encounters
-
evidence and proof. And then I'll get to the third
-
definition later because it's a little spoil, see but or no,
-
I'll I'll hit there first. The third definition is a
-
witness mark and this isn't it's art terminology, but essentially
-
it's a line or a remnant of an original surface or work piece
-
to show how much material has been removed or the shape of the
-
original outline. Understand we are a new
-
creation. The old has been removed and the
-
new has come and every moment of transformation causes us to be a
-
witness. It brings us closer to our
-
original shape and form from before we were formed.
-
Also, we are a remnant church. Love Quest is an Apostolic house
-
and there is a quote from Crowned and I encourage you get
-
the book and read page 34 and 35.
-
But there's a quote from page 34 that says the apostle is
-
anointed to call together the remnant, the body of
-
breakthrough believers set apart for God's purpose and the new
-
era he calls his church into. We are that body, Love Quest.
-
We are a remnant church all to do a new work and advance the
-
Kingdom of heaven. But what I really want to dive
-
into real quick is verse 18 and 19, specifically 19.
-
It says, behold, I am doing a new thing now it springs forth.
-
Do you not perceive it and know it and will you not give heed to
-
it? I will make a way in the
-
wilderness and rivers, in the dead, in the desert.
-
What you need to know is this. God is doing something brand new
-
in your life. This is the season to start
-
looking for what you've never seen before.
-
You can't determine what God is doing based on the bad you are
-
experiencing. God is trying to expose your
-
negative perspective and open your eyes so that you can see
-
because your perspective determines your perception and
-
perception takes dependence. Perception takes focus and
-
vision and that focus and vision needs to be on God and God
-
alone. So fear not, your God is with
-
you and he is doing a new thing. Say I'm a new creation and my
-
God is doing a new thing in Jesus name.
-
Please help me welcome up Pastor Daniela Tapesta.
-
Amen, Amen. Powerful word as always.
-
I just want to bring a little bit of clarity when we're
-
calling Teacher Effie. Teacher Effie, it's not just
-
like a fun thing. She is an ordained teacher in
-
this house and teachers are part of the fivefold ministry gifting
-
and they're mantle their crown. Their call is to extrapolate, to
-
expound, to bring clarity, to help teach the word of God as
-
they rightfully divide it. So thank you for that.
-
Pastor Terrance and Pastor Julia, you show me constantly
-
what it is like to carry the heart of the Father, to to walk
-
alongside someone through their good, the bad and the ugly.
-
And it is a privilege that you continue to see something in me
-
that is for this house and this particular moment in due season.
-
So thank you. I love you, and I pray your time
-
right now is super restful and restorative to you and your
-
family. I want you to turn to your
-
neighbor and say this, Say I fear not because he is doing a
-
new thing and that new thing is me evolving.
-
Yes, it is. Oh yeah, sure.
-
Yes, evolve, activating the new you.
-
That is the topic for my section.
-
Your evolvement is dependent on your involvement.
-
So evolve or evolution is a verb.
-
It's something that is in action.
-
It is happening, whether you participate in it or not, that
-
the Lord desires for you to participate and have an active
-
engagement in your evolution. And this is different than
-
revolution. So revolution is just like a
-
cyclical pattern or cyclical habit.
-
So I liken it to riding a bike. When you're on a stationary
-
bike, such as in a spin class, the RPMS, revolutions per minute
-
is the amount of speed with which the revolution goes from
-
the top all the way to the bottom and back again.
-
But you're stationary, you're not moving anywhere.
-
So revolution is kind of just going nowhere anytime soon,
-
whereas evolution is always in forward motion.
-
So I liken that to being an outdoor bike ride experience
-
where you have a destination and your goal is to get there though
-
forward moving. Your evolution is actually
-
innately an inverse relationship with yourself that never ends,
-
and it is in partnership with he who began a good work into you,
-
and we'll see it into completion.
-
And so we want to make sure that there's a distinction between
-
evolution and your revolution. You are moving forward, and you
-
need to engage in that actively. That's what the Lord desires.
-
Pastor Terence mentioned metamorphosis, which is the
-
evolution of a butterfly, as an example of this.
-
It started from egg to larvae to pupa and to the adult.
-
And it's important because the butterfly had everything in it
-
for life and godliness to become a butterfly from inception.
-
And we see that we have the same thing in Second Peter, one, for
-
his divine power has bestowed upon us absolutely everything
-
necessary for a dynamic spiritual life and godliness
-
through the true and personal knowledge of him.
-
So that's really important. Your evolution is dependent on
-
your knowledge of him because when you take your eyes off of
-
yourself and you seek him, then you find him and you find
-
yourself. So it's you will be in a
-
revolution, you'll be revolving if you keep your eyes fixed on
-
you. But your evolution can happen
-
and can happen quickly when you keep your eyes fixed on him.
-
Your involvement of your evolvement is already in you.
-
Just tap into it family. Pastor Tamron said this a bit
-
ago and it it still resonates with me.
-
You are a meaningful specific. You are not a wandering
-
generality. And we see that all throughout
-
the Bible, but particularly in Jeremiah where it says before I
-
formed you in the womb, I knew, KNEW and approved of you as my
-
chosen instrument. And before you were born, I set
-
separate you, set you apart. I consecrated you and I pointed
-
you as a prophet to the nation's and the word that stands out for
-
me in this scripture is the before.
-
So if the scripture had just said, well, I formed you in the
-
womb and I approved of you and set you apart and I consecrated
-
you and I appointed you to prophet of the nations, that
-
would be great. This scripture says before all
-
of that, this happened before all of that, which means that
-
everything that you need in you is already everything that you
-
need is already in you. Pardon me, That is what I'm
-
trying to say. You are a meaningful specific.
-
He knew you before he formed you.
-
He knews all. He knew all the numbers, the
-
numbering, the hairs of your head.
-
It is hot, y'all. Jeremiah 112 says that he also
-
watches over the word. So he formed you in the room.
-
He knew you. He put His word in you and he's
-
making sure that it comes to pass by watching over it.
-
Your new you is a garden reality.
-
Thank you, thank you. We were created for covenantial
-
community. Genesis 9 says this.
-
Behold, I establish my covenant or pledge with you and your
-
descendants after you. So this is for all of the people
-
way back in Genesis, and it's for us now because this is
-
there. The covenant was established and
-
we are the descendants after you.
-
OK, keep going. And God said this is the token
-
of the covenant, the Solomon pledge, the solemn pledge, which
-
I am making between me and you and every living creature that
-
is within you for all future generations.
-
Say that's me. And then he puts a rainbow on
-
the cloud, and he says this is a sign of my covenant with you.
-
So every time you see a rainbow, you can be reminded of the
-
Lord's established covenant with you, that he will never leave
-
you nor forsake you, but desires you to evolve back into his
-
image and his likeness. We're going to actually skip
-
ahead. Romans 8 says this, for those
-
whom he foreknew, of whom? The one before that. 29 There
-
you go. For those whom he foreknew, of
-
whom he was aware and loved beforehand, He destined from the
-
beginning for ordained them to be molded into the image of His
-
Son, and share inwardly his likeness, that he may become the
-
first born among many brethren. And those whom he foreordained
-
He also called. And those he called he
-
justified, And those he justified He glorified them,
-
raising them to a heavenly dignity and condition or state
-
of being. Those are heavenly realities.
-
That is your garden reality. The new you has a promise to
-
prosper you in every season. Genesis 1.
-
And that's the next slide, yes. Then God said I give you every
-
seed bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every
-
tree that has fruit with seed in it, and they will be yours for
-
food. OK, here He says, I give you
-
every seed bearing plant. Seed bearing plant.
-
He doesn't say I just give you every plant and it may or may
-
not produce, and I don't know. It's going to depend on how you
-
steward it. He says, I give you every seed
-
bearing plant on the face of the whole earth.
-
All we need to do is partner with the Lord.
-
It's already done. Our our evolution has already
-
happened. It's just us that needs to
-
participate in it. So you go, OK, so how do we do
-
that? How do we activate the new, the
-
KNEWU? The first thing you do is you
-
use your faith because it works because of faith.
-
It's one of my favorite people in the Bible because of faith.
-
Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so he
-
didn't even have a glimpse of death.
-
That boy just walked with the Lord and then he was no more.
-
And it's beautiful because that is a garden reality.
-
That is a heaven reality that the Lord wishes us to have here
-
on earth. It's just this continual
-
communion, this covenantial communion with the Lord where we
-
just exist with Him and that can be our reality.
-
Pastor Tim has recently said faith doesn't require certainty,
-
just belief in the Word. So you may not be there yet in
-
seeing yourself in His image and His likeness fully the full
-
KNEWU that the Lord desires you to be, but you can just have
-
faith for it. You don't have to have the
-
certainty of it. Just believe in it, in the Word
-
that was spoken over you, until you see it manifest.
-
The 2nd way that we can activate that is to kill sin and feed
-
sonship. Who told you that?
-
Who told you you weren't enough? What are these voices in your
-
head that you're listening to that is telling you you're
-
incompetent? You're unworthy that there's
-
always someone better or or better suited or better
-
character or more popular than you that is not of God.
-
And you need to kill the voices in your head and feed your
-
sonship, which is the Word of God.
-
That's how you get to know who you are when you seek Him.
-
First you lay your life down, you get into the Word, you find
-
yourself in the Word, and then you prophecy over yourself by
-
speaking that over yourself until you believe it.
-
Matthew 10 says whoever finds his lower life will lose it the
-
higher life, and whoever loses his lower life on my account
-
will find it, which is the higher life.
-
You need to guard your garden reality because you reflect what
-
you look at. Where have you been looking for
-
you? Where are you looking for you?
-
Are you looking in movies? Are you looking for yourself in
-
social media as you scroll? Where are you looking for you?
-
Because if you're looking anywhere than what it says in
-
the Bible, you won't find yourself.
-
Or you'll find a manipulated, distorted perspective, a
-
perversion of yourself, and that's exactly what the enemy
-
want. So what you need to do to guard
-
your garden reality is change the ecosystem of your mind,
-
renewed your mind daily, change the thought patterns, protect
-
your portals from perversion. We often think of that as
-
profane music and things like that.
-
And that's true, but it's also perversion of the word of God
-
and pervert and perversion of your perspective.
-
Because if the enemy can get your perspective perverted then
-
it doesn't matter what kind of music you listen to, you're
-
never going to see it with the mind of Christ.
-
You could be listening to worship music and and it not
-
taking root in your heart. Your evolution is happening and
-
it has happened. Your evolution is happening and
-
it has happened. It's in the past.
-
We just worshipped about a same God who did it before past
-
happened and he's doing it again happening.
-
It's a verb. So it's this constant evolution.
-
You have to see the changes in your life as alterations, not
-
adjustments. If you go to a seamstress to
-
have a blazer or a dress adjusted, it's not a temporary
-
thing. They cut the fabric, they re
-
stitch it or surge it, whatever they do move it through the
-
machine and then it becomes a permanently fixed thing.
-
And that is what God desires with your evolution.
-
He wants you to keep moving forward, walking with him so
-
that what happens takes what takes place is an alteration and
-
not just an adjustment in your life where you're looking back
-
and you're going, Oh yeah, this is actually, this is where I
-
want to be. God's like, no, no, no, no, no,
-
we're closing that off. It has ended.
-
And now you're permanently a new you.
-
And here's the cool thing. Here's the cool thing.
-
Every day you wake up, his mercies are new.
-
So every day you wake up, you have a new you KNEWUNEWU to
-
experience, to explore and to live out if you just allow
-
yourself to partnership with your own evolution.
-
And this family is how you live under an open heaven, by having
-
confidence in yourself, friendship.
-
So when you're doing all the things that we just talked
-
about, that's how you get to know yourself most because
-
you're first getting to know the Lord and there's direct access
-
there. Keep your eyes fixed on him.
-
Why do we need to do this? Pastor Francis said recently.
-
Everything that God made for you only knows the new you, the
-
KNEWU. So there are heavenly realities
-
that are only unlocked and reveal to you through your
-
KNEWU. So your evolution is imminent,
-
your evolution is going to happen, but how much more
-
beautiful, how much more sweet will it be if you partner with
-
the Lord to get there faster, to experience heaven here on earth,
-
to live under an open heaven and unlock all of the beautiful
-
heavenly realities that the Lord has for you.
-
How does that sound? Yes, Amen.
-
So please stand up. Let's just we'll pray this out.
-
Father, we thank you for the revelation of the KNEW us.
-
We thank you Lord, that you are doing a new thing.
-
We do behold it. We do perceive it.
-
We do put on our new nature every day.
-
We are a new creation. We thank you, Lord.
-
We thank you Laura that though we have evolved, we are still
-
evolving. We thank you for this in Jesus
-
sovereign name, Amen. I want to welcome up another
-
anointed teacher who is ordained as a teacher in this house who
-
just blows my mind with her revelation and her ability again
-
to to explore and expound and explain the Word of God so that
-
we get to profit and benefit from it.
-
Amen. Please welcome Grace Rose Sway.
-
Thank you, thank you. You all can take your seats.
-
How we doing, How we doing? We doing well, we doing good.
-
Need to take a second stretch a little bit get get loosened up.
-
So as Pastor Daniela said, my name is Grace.
-
Many of you may know me playing keys and being a part of our
-
worship team, but like she said, I'm also an ordained teacher of
-
this house. And what's so beautiful is that
-
the first time I ever preached the sermon is around this time a
-
couple of years ago. And since that moment, I have
-
been set in this house as a teacher.
-
And that can only happen because I've been under leadership that
-
has seen me, I've been under leadership that has challenged
-
me, that has called me into a deeper and greater evolution and
-
has called me to be the fullness of who God has meant for me to
-
be. And so again, as a part of
-
establishing that culture of honor, Pastor Terence and Pastor
-
Julia, I thank you. I honor you.
-
You have changed my life in more ways than I can imagine.
-
Thank you for seeing me. But ultimately, thank you for
-
empowering me to be and live in a Maggio day.
-
The image and likeness of God and the fullness of who I am.
-
So I thank you and I honor you to our elders.
-
Yes, you are my parents, but spiritually in this home, you
-
are a two people that hold up our arms.
-
And so I'm grateful for you. I am thankful for you.
-
And that's, that's that I love you all very much.
-
So I'm going to talk to us a little bit about a word that the
-
Holy Spirit released into our house a couple of weeks ago.
-
And what's really fun is that as a teacher, it's important for us
-
to identify what gift is speaking.
-
And so part of my gifting and my call is to help ground us in the
-
word is to help provide context for what God is doing and
-
speaking. And what's so beautiful is that
-
I have a unique ability as gifted by God to be able to see
-
and hear what he's saying in the spirit realm.
-
But also connected to what's happening in the natural.
-
And so I'm going to talk from this topic called the App Store.
-
OK, so I'm a graphic designer as well, and I'm a little bit of a
-
nerd and I love pop culture history.
-
So you can see here, this is the vintage Apple logo from like the
-
late 80s, mid late 80s. And when I found the exact font
-
as well. And so this is going to be an
-
opportunity where I'm going to take a prophetic word that was
-
released to the house and give us some insight into how we can
-
go from hearing the word to applying it in our everyday
-
life. And so it's important for us to
-
know what gift is speaking, so then you can know how to hear
-
properly, right? If a pastoral gift is speaking,
-
the pastoral is going to invite us into this beautiful moment of
-
being seen and heard and loved and cared for.
-
And we need pastors. But then an Apostolic anointing
-
is the one that makes us a little uncomfortable and calls
-
us forward. So for me, as I said, as a
-
teacher, my gift is to ground our understanding and bring
-
revelation to our knowledge. And so if you want to learn a
-
little bit more about that, like Effie said, please go buy a copy
-
of Pastor Terrance. It's his book, crowned it.
-
The revelation that's in that book has changed my life for the
-
greater. So Isaiah 43 verse 19.
-
And we've and we've talked about this a little bit and that's how
-
you know, the Holy Spirit is really trying to get our
-
attention. He says, behold, I am doing a
-
new thing now. It springs forth.
-
Do you not perceive and know it? And will you not give heed to
-
it? I will even make a way in the
-
wilderness and rivers in the desert.
-
Mark 2. Is where you see Jesus talking
-
and sharing with his disciples about evolution and growing and
-
evolving as we've learned a little bit about here.
-
So in verse 21 it says no one sews a patch of unshrunken new
-
goods on an old garment. And if he does, the patch tears
-
away from it, the new from the old and the rent or the tear
-
becomes bigger and worse than it was before.
-
And no one puts new wine into old wine skins.
-
And if he does, the wine will burst the skins and the wine is
-
lost and the bottles destroyed. But new wine is to be put in
-
fresh wineskins. And this is important because
-
the word that was released to our house speaks a lot to
-
innovation, to evolving, to seeing the new thing.
-
And so it was on June 19th, just a few weeks ago, the Holy
-
Spirit, through our man of God, Pastor Terence, told us that
-
this next wave of revival will be the apple of this generation.
-
The Holy Spirit revealed to us that what apple has done to our
-
generation, God is going to do in the church.
-
It's a new and innovative move and the culture will have no
-
choice but to embrace this revival.
-
So why does this matter, right? Why is this important?
-
What I believe is happening is that God is giving us an earthly
-
model to ground our faith for this next move of God.
-
So as God is releasing words, it's going to be very easy to
-
kind of get lost and try to OK, Amen, whoo Hallelujah.
-
But what does that mean and look like impracticum, What does that
-
look like in my everyday to day life?
-
So I believe God is giving us this earthly model to ground our
-
faith. And as we were challenged to
-
understand through our Faith that Work series that happens on
-
Wednesdays at our Wonder Wednesday experience, faith
-
requires a testimony, and that testimony helps to ground us.
-
So if God has told us that this next wave of revival is going to
-
be like the Apple of our generation, what's the testimony
-
of Apple? So here's a little bit of a
-
history behind Apple. I won't nerd out too much, but
-
it was created in 1976 by two gentlemen named Steve Jobs and
-
Steve Wozniak. And these two gentlemen carried
-
two different unique purposes. OK, Steve Wozniak, his nickname
-
on online is was he was the hardware guy.
-
So he built the actual computing systems.
-
Steve Jobs, he was the creative, he was the innovator.
-
He was the one that took what the hardware that Wozniak had
-
created and made it applicable, made it approachable for the
-
lame man. Wozniak left the company in 1985
-
and Jobs became the lead. And this is what's so
-
interesting to me. Apple did not turn a profit
-
until 1997. So they had been in business for
-
over 20 years, but they didn't actually turn a profit until
-
1997. And we'll get into why that
-
happened. And the key thing that shifted
-
was that it made personal computing accessible to the
-
layman. And what's really important is
-
the fact that Apple started in a garage in California.
-
Amazon started in a garage in California.
-
Last I checked, this is a garage in Surrey, BC.
-
So what can God do out of a garage, right?
-
That's so important for us to hold on to.
-
So there were some key developments that happened over
-
the course of the company. The IMAP was created in 1998,
-
the iPod in 2001. Who here had an iPod?
-
I love my iPod. I had a little iPod shuffle.
-
I thought I was that girl. And then the iPhone came out in
-
2007. And what's so interesting is
-
Apple have been working on the iPhone secretly since 2002, but
-
it didn't come to fruition until 2007.
-
So sometimes God will give you insight, God will give you
-
wisdom that will change the world.
-
But we have a responsibility to steward it.
-
And each of these products revolutionize the way we as
-
people interact with technology. So with that testimony grounding
-
our faith, what does that mean for Love Quest?
-
I believe that God is going to use our community to be a model
-
of innovation for the church, Not just our church, but the
-
Capital C church. How are we doing that?
-
Well, let's talk about our worship team for a quick second.
-
Now, I might be biased because I serve on a worship team, but I
-
don't know a lot of worship teams that worship the way we
-
do. I don't know a lot of churches
-
that know how to contend for the Capital C church.
-
I don't know a lot of churches that know how to blend rock, hip
-
hop, gospel in a way that reveals the tapestry and the
-
fullness of who God is. So that is an area we're
-
innovating. We have ministries like The Good
-
Life that care for your physical being, right?
-
It's not. Yes, we care for your soul and
-
that is important. But having ministries that are
-
there to care for our practical needs and give us wisdom, that's
-
a part of that innovation #2 I believe our creativity will
-
distinguish us in the landscape of churches and in the
-
marketplace. So one of the big things about
-
Apple is the products began to infiltrate pop culture, right?
-
So if you've seen the movie Legally Blonde, it's one of my
-
favorite movies. There's a scene in the movie
-
where she's in law school. She's this, you know, kind of
-
stereotypical blonde girl. You know, everything is pink and
-
fun and all that kind of fun stuff.
-
But she starts going to Harvard Law School, and there's a
-
pivotal moment in the film where you begin to see her learning
-
how to be fully who God has made her to be.
-
But in this context, that might kind of like be super foreign to
-
her. And so she's in line at the
-
school store and she's buying an I book.
-
And this is a laptop that Apple created early 2000s.
-
And it was orange and white. And it stood out amongst all the
-
kind of more Gray, kind of more utilitarian looking laptops
-
being like the more like kind of practical stuff, right?
-
And so her creativity caused her to be distinguished in that
-
space. Why?
-
Because of that device, what that device signified.
-
And so I believe that the creativity that's in this house
-
is what's going to distinguish us within the landscape of
-
churches. Again, we see it with our
-
worship team. We see it with our pastor.
-
If you don't know, our pastor is a fire hip hop artist.
-
And the music is great. You can find it on Spotify, find
-
it on iTunes, wherever you listen to your music.
-
But that's a part of what distinguishes us and makes us
-
unique. And so that's going to give us
-
insight and access to the marketplace.
-
We can take the music that God has given us that's clean, it's
-
fun, it's accessible for the whole family.
-
But because the music is banging and because we honor where God
-
is doing in our man of God, we can then go into nightclubs and
-
infiltrate those spaces with the love of God.
-
We'll have intercessors in the room praying and cover us.
-
We'll be kind to the bartenders, we'll be kind to the managers to
-
the point where they call us and say, hey, y'all want to come
-
back? Because when you guys come
-
through, everybody is kind. They love well, they tip us
-
well, and it's that creativity that creates distinction in US.
-
But even greater than that, I believe that our prayer will be
-
an incubator of this innovation. So as I said earlier, the iPhone
-
had been in development since 2002, right?
-
It didn't come to pass until 2007, and it was called Project
-
Purple. And it was this very secretive
-
project that was being developed and worked on and labored.
-
And I believe and I know that prayer is one of the ways we can
-
remain tethered to the Spirit. And Steve Jobs, as the oversight
-
would come in and give insight and give wisdom over the course
-
of the evolution of this product.
-
And originally they were focusing on creating a device
-
that would blend certain elements of a phone, but it
-
really wasn't focused on being a phone.
-
But it wasn't until Steve Jobs came in and said, Hey, I think
-
think we actually need to pivot and make make some sort of phone
-
device that changed the world. It changed the world.
-
And so that incubation of innovation and creativity became
-
this place where world changing technology was birthed.
-
And I know and I believe and I'm a product of what happens when
-
you pray and when you intercede and you allow the Spirit to help
-
you give birth to what's inside of you.
-
But even beyond this, what does this mean for us as individuals?
-
If that's what God doing in our church, what does it mean for us
-
as individuals? Number one, we get to be the
-
first adapters of this movement. So when the iPhone came out in
-
2007, one of the big things that they did is they gave an iPhone
-
to every single Apple employee that had been there for, I
-
believe a minimum of a year. So these millions of people got
-
to be the first people to have their hands on this world
-
changing technology. They didn't necessarily know the
-
fullest extent of what they had been given, but they had an
-
opportunity to steward it. And so I believe that for us
-
here that are a part of this community, we have the privilege
-
of being the first adapters of this new wave of revival that
-
God is getting ready to release across this nation.
-
We have the opportunity to be the first ones that get to kind
-
of play with it and navigate it and figure out what does it look
-
like for this revival to be continued and carried beyond the
-
four walls of this church. I also, I also believe that if
-
we're a part of an innovative house, that there is a release
-
for innovation in all areas of our lives.
-
And I know that word innovation, I've used it a lot, but what is
-
innovation? It's a combination of creativity
-
and application. So innovation means I'm taking
-
something that exists, but I'm taking it and pushing it
-
further. I'm giving it an opportunity to
-
evolve into something beyond what I see here naturally.
-
And it's done in that incubation of prayer.
-
And so, Andy, if you're a business owner, if you're a mom,
-
if you're a student, wherever you are, there's a release for
-
innovation that's available to you.
-
Being tethered to this house that can affect all areas of our
-
lives. Yet most importantly, we are the
-
culture carriers of revival. So back 2008, how many of you
-
guys remember those advertisements for iPods?
-
It was like the black silhouettes and they would be
-
dancing on screen and have the white wired headphones.
-
You guys remember those? Remember those, right?
-
How many of you in here have an iPhone?
-
Who has an iPhone? Anybody have an iPhone?
-
Anybody have a Mac computer, some sort of Apple device?
-
Again, it's not a conversation on what's better, what's worse,
-
But everybody in here at some point has been impacted by
-
Apple. It's been impacted by this
-
culture shifting organization that has changed the way we
-
connect with one another. My grandfather, may he rest in
-
peace. He was born in the early 1920s.
-
And I remember one time I was Facetiming my mom on my iPhone
-
and he looked at me and he said, what's that in your hand?
-
I was like, what's my phone? And he goes, that's a phone.
-
I say, yeah, so, but you can see your mom on it.
-
I said, uh huh. He said, I never thought I'd see
-
that in my lifetime. So over the course of his life,
-
he lived until his early 80s, he went from radio to having a
-
device that was in his granddaughter's hand.
-
That enabled me to not just stay connected with the world, but it
-
enables me to see across the world.
-
That's something that that carries culture.
-
And so for us as a community, we have the privilege of stewarding
-
and carrying what it means to be and live in a state of revival
-
because revival is not limited to the four walls of the church.
-
What would happen if, like an iPhone, we were able to
-
drastically shift the way people communicate?
-
What if, like Apple, we were able to change the way people
-
stay connected to one another? What if, what if, what if, like
-
Apple, we were able to change the course of communication and
-
technology like never before and leave a lasting legacy that
-
outlives us. Steve Jobs has gone, but his
-
legacy is right here in front of us.
-
His legacy is in your pocket. His legacy is living wherever he
-
is impacted. So I encourage us, Love Quest,
-
as God has released to us that this next wave of revival is
-
going to be the apple of our generation.
-
I encourage you and I implore you to realize that there is
-
world changing innovation inside of you.
-
I implore you, love Quest to realize that what God is getting
-
ready to do, it's going to change generations.
-
I am for you and encourage you. Do not be afraid of your
-
greatness, Do not be afraid of the bigness and of the vastness
-
that God has placed inside of you.
-
Because you and I, we are going to change the world, starting
-
with the world around us in Jesus name, Amen.
-
And now I get to call up a dear friend, Mr. Brett Rodway.
-
Well, good afternoon. Who is glad that summer has
-
arrived in Vancouver? Yes.
-
So look, if you are looking for a little bit of light relief, we
-
have some water. Just put your hand up, we'll get
-
you some water. Make sure that you're well
-
hydrated. We got a lot to speak about.
-
God is doing great things. I want to take this opportunity
-
to say thank you to Pastor Terrance and Pastor Julia.
-
Thank you for the honour of this opportunity to speak from this
-
platform. The Lord has given you the
-
responsibility for this platform, for this people, for
-
this church. And I want to thank you for the
-
opportunity to be able to share the word today.
-
So I'm going to speak from the word evolve and you're like, we
-
heard that message already. OK, mine's a bit different, so
-
keep listening. We've got more to say on that
-
subject. Jeremiah chapter one and verse
-
five says before I formed you in the womb, I knew and approved of
-
you as my chosen instrument. And before you were born I
-
separated and set you apart, consecrating you, and I
-
appointed you as a prophet to the nations.
-
You know there's a power in knowing that God knew me.
-
He knew me before I was formed in the womb.
-
He knew me. Nothing's a surprise.
-
He knew you. He knew who you were, who you
-
would be and how he wanted to impact your life.
-
He knew and approved you. There's a power and approval, a
-
stamp of approval, a stamp that says, Yep, that's good, I
-
approve. In the US, they've got that
-
election and there'll be people who say I approve of this
-
message. It is a sign that says, yes, I'm
-
connected to this. Well, God says I'm connected to
-
you. I knew you, I approve you.
-
Well, I walk a little taller. I get a little bit excited to
-
know the God of heaven and earth.
-
He is the one who knew me and has approved of me.
-
Jesus speaks into this to Nicodemus in John chapter 3 and
John 3 chapter mention
-
verse 3. Jesus said you're absolutely
-
right. Take it from me, unless a person
-
is born from above, it's not possible to see what I'm
-
pointing to to God's Kingdom. You see you're born.
-
You are to be born from above. When you believe on Jesus, you
-
are born and you born again, born from above, Nicodemus says.
-
How can anyone be born who has already been born and grown up?
-
You can't re enter your mother's womb and be born again.
-
What are you saying with this born from above talk?
-
It makes sense. How's it possible I've been
-
born? How do I?
-
This doesn't make sense. I can't go back to my mum.
-
I'm way too tall. I'm taller than her now.
-
That doesn't make sense. How could I be born again?
-
This is weird talk. It's Kingdom talk.
-
The natural man can't understand it be born again.
-
This makes no sense. Jesus said you're not listening.
-
Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this
-
original creation, the wind hovering over the water,
-
creation that speaks to Genesis chapter one, when the Holy
-
Spirit was hovering over the deep, the invisible moving, the
-
visible, a baptism into a new life, it's not possible to enter
-
God's Kingdom. When you look at a baby, it's
-
just that, a body. You can look at it and touch,
-
but the person who takes shape with it is formed by something
-
you can't see and touch the Spirit and becomes a living
-
spirit. Another translation says that
-
which is of flesh is flesh, but that which is the spirit is
-
spirit. We're born of the Spirit.
-
We who receive Christ. We are reborn.
-
Men and women reborn of the Spirit of God.
-
It's different. And those who are reborn now,
-
all of a sudden the old ways feels weird.
-
Those old habits, they feel weird because I'm born again.
-
I'm born in the Spirit. I'm born into the Kingdom of
-
God. There's something different.
-
So we who believe have been reborn in the spirit or from
-
above, born now to the new KNEW person from heaven.
-
This was what Jesus came for, so that we might know him and in
-
knowing him be transformed into these people who are no God,
-
these citizens of the Kingdom of God.
-
This is who we are, reborn, spirit born people.
-
We are those who have been grafted into Jesus Christ.
-
We are a new creation. Old things have passed away.
-
Behold, all things have become new, it says in Two Corinthians
-
517. When we're in Christ,
-
everything's new. The old's passed away.
-
It's gone. Don't cling to it.
-
It's gone. Then hold on to that.
-
It's gone. That old way of doing life.
-
It's gone. It's done with.
-
We're now stepping into the new. We're walking out as new
-
creations, new people, new expectations, new ways of
-
thinking, new ways of speaking, new ways of responding, new ways
-
of seeing. It's new now.
-
Pastor Daniela spoke about the, the life of a butterfly coming
-
from the egg and the lava. And then there's the, the
-
Caterpillar, the, the cocoon and then the butterfly.
-
And Can you imagine this? You're going from a Caterpillar
-
kind of munching away on, on, on, on the crunchy leaves.
-
You're growing fat, you're getting ready to go.
-
You get in that cocoon. You spend all that time in this
-
cocoon not knowing what's going to happen at the end, and then
-
you come out of butterfly, beautiful coloured wings,
-
completely different body, longer legs, a different diet
-
like you like different foods. Imagine that you picture it.
-
All these colours in your wings, Yellow, orange, blue-green, all
-
those things. And then you're out of the
-
cocoon. You drop down to the next branch
-
and you continue eating leaves and pretending you're a
-
Caterpillar. There's a disconnect.
-
You've been transformed. You're not supposed to live that
-
way anymore. There's a new revelation needed
-
You. You're not supposed to be eating
-
the leaves. You.
-
You eat nectar and sweet things now.
-
Your body shape different. You try walking on that branch
-
and those big wings on your back.
-
A gust of wind comes and you're knocked off.
-
You're not built for that. You're built to fly.
-
You're built different. It's like a believer going back
-
to old ways. You're built different now,
-
you're built to live life different.
-
You're built to think different, walk different.
-
But people will think I'm different, yes, that's the
-
point. But people will say you don't,
-
you don't react the same way you used to.
-
That's the point. You're different.
-
You got wings now, you got different diet, a different
-
flavour. The things that used to be good
-
to you are no longer good. Those old desires, they're
-
falling away. They're meant to because the new
-
desire that God place in your hearts, that's the new man, the
-
Spirit empowered you. Old things have passed away.
-
Old things have become new. Pastor Terence has also spoken
-
recently about alteration, not merely adjustments, and that's
-
what we're talking about here. We're talking about an
-
alteration, a new way of living, a new way of seeing, a new way
-
of doing. But how do we get there because
-
there's so many things that want to draw us back to that old way.
-
How do we shift? How do we move?
-
How can we bring step into the promises of God, step into that
-
new life? Romans chapter 12 and verse two
Romans 12 chapter mention
-
and the amplified classic says do not be conformed to this
-
world, fashioned after and adapted to its external
-
superficial customs, but be transformed by the entire
-
renewal of your mind, by its new ideals and its new attitude.
-
So we're no longer conformed, coming to unity with uniformity,
-
with the world about us, but we're transformed.
-
Now interestingly, that word transformed is very familiar.
-
It's metamorpho, similar to metamorphosis, that nature
-
change, that change in nature. So another way of saying it is
-
don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed.
-
Change your nature entirely transfigured, completely new
-
nature by the renewal of your mind.
-
There's a transformation. And the Holy Spirit empowers us.
-
As we engage with the Holy Spirit, as we engage in the Word
-
of God, it will transform us. Our thinking changes.
-
There's life in our thinking. There's hope in our thinking.
-
There's love in our thinking in the TPT.
-
It says stop imitating the ideals and opinions and the
-
culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy
-
Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.
-
This will empower you to discern God's will as you live a
-
beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.
-
The Holy Spirit will empower you.
-
See, your new life is spirit of power.
-
It's an unfailing love, an unreasonable peace, a prevailing
-
joy, a persevering patience and a mastering self-control.
-
That's the new life. Now, those people that bugged
-
you before, I'm learning how to pray for them.
-
I mean, I pray for them. You know, it's weird.
-
I start to I care for them. You know those things that used
-
to bug me before? They're peace of God.
-
It bounces off me now. Their drama can't hit me
-
anymore. You know, those times where I
-
just couldn't handle waiting, but God's given me a persevering
-
patience. And I find that in that
-
patience, in that rest, I find the fullness of God.
-
We are being evolved with purpose.
-
We are being evolved so that we may be the light on the hill, so
-
that we might be the ones that people see and they say, hey, I
-
see something in you and I want it.
-
It's different. What's the point of being the
-
same as everybody else when everybody else wants difference?
-
We can be that difference. I'll finish with Philippians
-
chapter 3, verse 12 to 14 in the TPT.
-
This is Paul writing, he says. I admit that I haven't yet
-
acquired the absolute fullness that I'm pursuing, but I run
-
with passion into His abundance so that I may reach the purpose
-
for which Christ Jesus laid hold of me to make me His own.
-
I don't depend on my own strength to accomplish this.
-
However, I do have one compelling focus.
-
I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future.
-
Instead, I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching
-
the heavenly goal and gaining the victory prize through the
-
anointing of Jesus. Let's run the race.
-
Let's press in. Let's see what God will do
-
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, thank. You.
-
Thank you Lord, just lift their hands in response for the word
-
that was received, that was given today.
-
Just receive it with Landis. Thank you, Lord, we thank you
-
for all the the the words that were released today, God
-
prophetically from our teachers God, and we thank you, father,
-
that it all speaks to what you're doing in this space, God
-
doing in our lives. Thank you for your faith, God of
-
Abraham. You're the God of government and
-
fable promises. Time and time again you have
-
proven you do just what you say. Though the storms may come and
-
the winds may blew or remain, stand fast and let my heart
-
learn. When you speak a word, it will
-
come to pass. Is your faithfulness to me.
-
Come on, sing it out. Grace is your faithfulness from
-
the rising sun to the setting same.
-
I will pray your name because Grace is your.
-
Faithfulness to me, God, from age to age.
-
Though the earth may pass away, your world remains the same.
-
Yeah, your history can prove there's nothing you can do.
-
You're faithful and true and then my heart will you speak
-
over. You will come too fast to pray.
-
Give your favor is to be from the rising sun rising up to
-
the setting shame I will praise your name.
-
The grain is your favorite for this sing grain.
-
Grain is your flame for for Roman days from the rising sun
-
to the setting St. I will raise your rain is your
-
faith on this to me. Help me sing.
-
I'll put my face. I'll put my face in Jesus, my
-

-

-

-
faith in Jesus, I ain't come to the ground.
-
I'm hoping for how many years never let me die.
-
He'll never let me die. He'll never let me die.
-
You'll never let me down. It's when I put my faith in you,
-
I start seeing things differently.
-
Yeah. You never, ever, ever, ever let
-
me down. No, no, no, no, no, no.
-
You never let me down no, you never let me down no, you never
-

-

-
The great is your faithfulness to me.
-
From the rising sun to the same same I will praise your name to
-
great is your faithfulness. I believe there's a declaration
-
in that I put my faith in Jesus. So we're going to sing that
-
again, but we're going to go a little bit deeper this time, OK?
-
I put my faith, Dave put the lyrics up.
-
Put the lyrics up, it says. I put my faith in Jesus, my
-
anchor to the ground. I said my hope, and he is my
-
firm foundation. He'll never let me down.
-
I don't know who needs to hear that today, but I'm telling you
-
there's a promise in that word that He is your firm foundation.
-
And I promise you, I am living testimony that He doesn't even
-
know how to let you down for His word says.
-
That he will never leave. You, His word says He will never
-
forsake you. So whatever you're coming in
-
with today, I'm here to declare and decree.
-
That the king. Of glory is in this room, and if
-
you push your faith in Jesus, I promise He'll never let you
-

-

-
