  1. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International

  2. Church podcast, where we seek to love all nations, equip the

  3. church, mobilize the equipped and serve all.

  4. We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever

  5. you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get

  6. your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe

  7. some tea and get ready to receive.

  8. It's go time. Let's get into.

  9. It Amen. Amen.

  10. Amen, Amen. Let's give a head clap for our

  11. pastors. Amen.

  12. Hey, man. Hey, man, hey, man.

  13. I really want to thank you. Can have your seat.

  14. Take your seats as long as you can.

  15. I really want to strap you in, strap up because this is a

  16. blast. I'm blasting at you.

  17. I ain't preaching at you. I'm not teaching at you.

  18. I'm blasting you Today you got to understand how it's coming so

  19. you know how to catch it. Hey, man, if you if the ball is

  20. coming fast, but you ready to catch slow, something else going

  21. to happen so you'd be ready to catch it.

  22. And it's something that's more importational than it is

  23. informational, OK? So it's important for you to

  24. catch because my goal is to release the impartation of it

  25. even more than information of it, OK.

  26. The goal is to have you impacted and then you unpack the impact

  27. over time. And as Pastor Terence comes and

  28. develops in the series specifically, we're not going to

  29. do everything today, but we're going to get some things started

  30. today in a way that I think can be very helpful for us.

  31. Pastor Terrence, again, thank you for the opportunity.

  32. So good to see you join that sunshine anyway.

  33. It's in the sunshine anyway. Join yourself in the sunshine.

  34. It's a blessing. Thank you again for the

  35. opportunity and particularly something like this.

  36. He said he's never done this every series he started.

  37. So it means a lot to me. It means a lot to us about the

  38. urgency of what God is doing when he says this can't wait

  39. till I get back God and say we got to go to we got to go now.

  40. OK, so now to give you a sense of the urgency of and how you

  41. need to catch it, because it's something not just for our

  42. houses before our times, everyone say for our times, you

  43. know, the Bible says this, that the days will come when men's

  44. hearts will fail. OK, Men won't be able to finish

  45. because of the fear that's on the land.

  46. And I will tell you this, if we were in the end times when Jesus

  47. started, because he declares that you better know for sure

  48. that we're in that space now. And you see evidence of that by

  49. by by the tackle mental health people dealing with pressures

  50. alike. You know, there's more disease

  51. connected with stress than there is with eating than there is

  52. with exercise or anything else. Men's hearts are already dealing

  53. with the issues of failing or not failing.

  54. But God is not a God that wants us to fail.

  55. He is the Alpha and the what. He is the beginning and the

  56. what. He's the starter and He is the

  57. finisher of all that He is and all that He does.

  58. And when you really understand who He is, you understand He

  59. never starts unless He's already finished.

  60. He never starts unless he is already finished.

  61. The Word of God declares that God sees the end of a thing at

  62. the beginning. So the fact He starts is an

  63. indication that it's done. He is that focused on finishing.

  64. And we are to take after His image and His likeness.

  65. He wants us to be those people that finish as well.

  66. But the quality and character of a faith that finishes the good

  67. fight of finishing faith, the finishing kind of faith, has a

  68. different character to it in much ways, in much the same way

  69. that playing most of a game has a different character than

  70. finishing the end of a game. OK, Finishing faith has a

  71. different character to it in the same way that building most of

  72. the house looks very different than when you finish the house,

  73. OK, when it's ready to be moved in.

  74. So we want to explore this today.

  75. And in the beginning part of what we want to do, I want to

  76. share a, and it's important to understand we're going to talk

  77. about a lot today, but think about it in this context.

  78. It's for our times, not just for our house.

  79. It's for our times, not just for your house.

  80. It's for our times, not just for this one moment.

  81. I want to begin with something that God shared with me and I

  82. just want to share it with you guys.

  83. And it's something that's been accumulated over the course of a

  84. couple days, but it says this. Listen and understand the times

  85. that we're in, what we're involved in.

  86. This love quest is more than a remnant project.

  87. God is fashioning us into a Nehemiah force to give aid and

  88. support to the remnants of God through this country and the

  89. province. A remnant is something that is

  90. reserved from what was for the purpose of starting what's new

  91. while carrying the core DNA of what has always been an example

  92. of sourdough. There's a remnant of yeast

  93. mixture maybe even from hundreds of years ago and that it remains

  94. and people would take from that yeast mixture to make dough

  95. today. OK, so it's something that's

  96. taken from what remains is used to start new things today, so

  97. much so that the name of that is a starter.

  98. The remnant that remains becomes the start of something new, and

  99. the new takes that starter and keeps a remnant so that they can

  100. continue to start other things as well.

  101. But a remnant only remains if it knows how to finish.

  102. There's a faith that starts, but it also has to be a faith that

  103. finishes. How you start determines how you

  104. finish. How you start determines whether

  105. you finish. Faith that works isn't full

  106. unless it's a faith that finishes.

  107. As I said, he's the alpha and the Omega.

  108. He's the beginning and the end. God is not interested in

  109. starting unless there is finishing.

  110. He knows the end of a thing. He knows to finish at the

  111. beginning. There is a good fight of faith

  112. to start. There's a good fight of faith to

  113. get up. There's a good fight of faith to

  114. go on. But there also has to be, there

  115. must be a good fight of faith to finish.

  116. It's been said that how you start them is how you got to

  117. keep them, but how you finish is how far it's going to go after

  118. you. How you start your generation is

  119. how you keep your generation, but how you finish your work

  120. determines how many generations will carry on the fight after

  121. you. We've got to fight the good

  122. fight of finishing Faith. A finishing Faith says at the

  123. beginning we will stand until we see.

  124. We will continue until it's done.

  125. A finishing faith is not afraid of contact or tight games or

  126. close calls or down to the wire ends.

  127. In fact, a finishing faith relishes, longs for those

  128. moments. A finishing faith knows how to

  129. take contact, to use that contact to finish the race, to

  130. go through the contact until the finish.

  131. God is using this remnant project to develop finishing

  132. faith in us as a community. I know for a fact that men and

  133. women of God with great means, they're part of this community

  134. and some are not a part of this community, but who love this

  135. community nonetheless, have been asking and listening for release

  136. from God to do more. But God is holding their hands

  137. because if they move greatly without all of us involved, it

  138. will be finished. And while we will have received

  139. the promise, we all of us won't have the finishing faith that's

  140. required to keep that promise and then pass it into other

  141. generations to come. I believe God is saying these

  142. people, my people, have got to have a finishing faith for

  143. what's to come. They have to have a finishing

  144. faith, especially in the area of money and resources building an

  145. economy, to be a light for what's to come.

  146. A finishing faith knows how to start the fire and keep it lit.

  147. A finishing faith knows how to open heaven and keep it open.

  148. A finishing faith knows how to endure until the end and just

  149. doesn't care how long it takes on what the enemy's doing.

  150. A finishing faith kills Goliath, cuts his head off, and carries

  151. the victory around the city for all to see.

  152. A finishing faith rallies the nation to live as sons and

  153. daughters pursuing the Kingdom of God their father.

  154. A finishing faith heals them all.

  155. A finishing faith stands having done all to stand.

  156. A finishing faith believes for the completion, whether they

  157. ever see it or not. It takes a different faith to

  158. finish when the pressure's on, when you may be behind, when

  159. there's only a small amount of time, when the margin of victory

  160. is so close. A finishing faith is different

  161. because it activates focus. It activates a steely

  162. determination. It activates an obliviousness to

  163. pressure. It ignores the distractions.

  164. It understands the moment and taps into a joy that draws upon

  165. a finishing grace. It's the finishing grace where

  166. you find your rest and your refuge as the God and Father of

  167. our Lord Jesus Christ finishes the good work that He has

  168. promised. Amen.

  169. I'm with you. That's worth a hour and a half.

  170. Philip is to be the name of the Lord.

  171. So God is telling us, He's exhorting us, He's urging us,

  172. He's telling us whatever faith you've had before, it has to

  173. have a finishing faith quality. If you didn't start with the

  174. finishing faith, then you now you have to retool in the midst

  175. of your walk to get a faith that finishes.

  176. OK, then that's harder to do because you're used to believing

  177. in a certain way, but it's something you need to do if

  178. you're going to finish in the face of what we're facing and

  179. what's going to be coming in the days to come.

  180. Amen. So I want to go on further and

  181. develop this. And you'll hear some of these

  182. themes echoed and repeated within the context of the

  183. message we have today. So the name of the message is

  184. the good fight. The name of the call is the good

  185. fight of finishing faith. God is training a generation to

  186. finish. He's training a generation to

  187. finish, to have strong hearts that won't fail when facing

  188. generational defining threats and difficulties.

  189. God is calling this generation. God is making this generation.

  190. God is trying to form his people to be a part of this generation,

  191. because the things we're going to be facing will be

  192. generational, defining threats and difficulties.

  193. The Bible declares that the day shall come where people, in

  194. facing the things we wish they would have never been born,

  195. would be willing to abandon their life because of what

  196. they're facing and the pressure that's in front of them.

  197. But God is training a generation to finish even in the midst of

  198. that, not in spite of the difficulties, but to rise above

  199. the difficulties to be a finishing work.

  200. Knowing God is not enough. Loving God is not enough.

  201. Signs and wonders is not enough. Showing up is not enough.

  202. Doing your part well, I'm doing my part is not enough.

  203. Praying is not enough. Community is not enough,

  204. Worshipping is not enough, Giving is not enough.

  205. What you did before is not enough.

  206. You must have a finishing faith to have all of those things, but

  207. not be able to finish isn't enough, and loving God doesn't

  208. automatically develop in you a finishing faith, no more than

  209. loving to play basketball, develops in you the skill and

  210. the ability to finish a championship game.

  211. The love of the game will keep you motivated through the

  212. difficulties to learn how to finish the game, but the love is

  213. not the same as being able to finish the game.

  214. At the end of every season, there's one team that's the

  215. champion and the other teams that are filled with players

  216. that love the game go home to continue to love the game, but

  217. they never finished enough for the championship.

  218. Well, I'm not saying that all of those things aren't important.

  219. What I'm telling you is all of those things aren't enough.

  220. So if we are resting on those things, well, I love God, that's

  221. not going to be enough to help you finish.

  222. Am I saying love is insufficient?

  223. No. What I'm saying is that love has

  224. to translate and transform your life into an ability to stand in

  225. the midst of whatever it is you're dealing with to finish it

  226. to the end. There are many who loved God and

  227. failed love God and fallen because they just didn't know

  228. how to finish. They're never practice what's

  229. coming to the end. One of the ways you learn how to

  230. finish is to practice finishing faith challenges.

  231. The challenge of the middle of the game is different than the

  232. challenge at the end of the game.

  233. Injuries. Shout out Shatal.

  234. Andrew Rees had a record for double double s during the game.

  235. They played A1 on one. When it got to the end of the

  236. game when her record for points was on the line, four people

  237. gathered around her to stop her from scoring, even though that

  238. team had already basically went up by like 10 points with just a

  239. few seconds left. The challenge she faced at the

  240. finish of that game? Four O 1 was not the same

  241. challenge you faced during the game. one-on-one.

  242. The finishing challenges you face are different than the the

  243. regular walk challenges. So you have to prepare for that.

  244. You have to know that the love of God is how it's going to keep

  245. you in the midst of that difficulty.

  246. You must have finishing faith. You must have the mindset of a

  247. finisher. A lot of what finishing faith is

  248. about is about how you perceive it.

  249. I'm pointing over here because during our relay race many have

  250. talked about perceiving and seeing how you see things.

  251. OK, are you building your Kingdom?

  252. Are you building God's Kingdom? How are you seeing what you're

  253. doing? A mindset that says I'm building

  254. His Kingdom says the pressure is not on me to do, but I am just

  255. going to stand. If I'm building my Kingdom, then

  256. the pressure is on me to build it.

  257. Perception where you are. So all the messages we've had up

  258. to this point are linking and building to this point.

  259. You must have the mindset of a finisher.

  260. Tom Brady said this. I've never lost a football game.

  261. I just ran out of time. That's the mindset of a

  262. finisher. I win and I don't stop until I

  263. win. That's the mindset of a

  264. finisher. Did you lose?

  265. No, I just ran out of time, that's all.

  266. But it does suggest that you do have to know how to finish

  267. within time frame sometimes, and the attitude and approach that's

  268. required to finish in that context is different than a

  269. faith that has no limits. I was talking Thursdays that I

  270. got prayer meeting. It's really good.

  271. You ought to come. And we were talking about why do

  272. people feel pressure helping people receive an activation of

  273. a gift of tongues? It's because that activation can

  274. be shown. If you ask someone, lead someone

  275. to the Lord, and they say, yes, I receive Jesus as my Lord and

  276. Savior. Yes, I receive them as God, as

  277. my Father. Do I really know whether they've

  278. received it or not? What's the evidence?

  279. Well, maybe I'll watch them over time and we'll see how the life,

  280. you know, the life change. But in that moment, I just like,

  281. OK, I guess it is. If you ask people to get

  282. baptized in the Holy Spirit, you pray or prayer, you believe you

  283. receive it, the power of God comes on your life to transform

  284. you. What's the evidence in that

  285. moment? Well, I don't know.

  286. I guess you just have to. Yeah, I guess you did just by

  287. faith. But when you ask someone and

  288. someone said help me activate this gift of speaking in other

  289. tongues at the end of that prayer, either they will or they

  290. won't and you're going to know. That's why folk get nervous

  291. about that. The faith that finishes is going

  292. to show the results. It's going to make it for easy

  293. to be seen. You have to have the mindset of

  294. a finisher. Fainting hearts won't finish,

  295. can't finish, don't finish. Fainting hearts won't finish,

  296. can't finish, don't finish. Fainting hearts won't finish,

  297. can't finish, don't finish. You cannot have a fainting heart

  298. and finish. So now you have a real insight

  299. right there. You got ears to hear.

  300. What's one of the insights you have?

  301. That it's important for me then to have a kind of faith that

  302. keeps my heart from fainting, right?

  303. You got to develop that strength of heart before you get to the

  304. point of your testing. You got to practice in fainting

  305. heart scenarios. You got to practice that.

  306. Well, how do you practice that? Here's how I practiced it one

  307. time. My wife, she's pregnant getting

  308. ready to have a baby first, a first born child Grace and and

  309. it was problems and difficulties with the delivery and I believe

  310. God, I trusted God, I done all those things and I said and it's

  311. we was facing difficulty still and I was angry with God.

  312. I was upset. I said I tried to live for you.

  313. I've done all of this and you don't show up for me like I need

  314. you to right in this moment. Yes, it's like that OK, in this

  315. moment and I don't understand. I don't get it.

  316. This folks not serving you having deliveries easier than

  317. this and it's complications that threaten her life.

  318. Even grace is life and I'm trying to figure it out and I'll

  319. take for go for a walk. And as I went for a walk,

  320. something said to me, go ahead and just curse God, man, don't

  321. just curse God. He's abandoned you.

  322. And in the moment when my heart wanted to faint, because I had

  323. read it in a book, because I had read Job before, because I'd

  324. seen the stories of people of faith and heard their

  325. testimonies, practicing, in that moment, I said, God, it doesn't

  326. matter whether the baby lives or dies.

  327. It doesn't matter whether my wife lives or dies.

  328. I will worship you. And in that moment, the light of

  329. God broke through my soul. You got to practice not fainting

  330. before. You have to rely on not

  331. fainting. Fainting hearts won't finish.

  332. So why is that important in our context?

  333. Now this message is going to go over two times 222 experiences,

  334. so I'm not trying to finish everything right now.

  335. Why is it important to practice that?

  336. Well, what's the Remnant Project about trying to teach you how

  337. not to fame, how not to fainting your giving, how not to fainting

  338. your prayer, how not to fainting your praise, how not to fainting

  339. your attitude, how not to fainting your perception of what

  340. God is doing, how not to faint. What's an example of fainting

  341. coming? And it's like, well, you know

  342. it'll be done whenever it's done.

  343. Well, you know, I did my part. Well, you know, I keep coming.

  344. We'll see. All of that is deep degrees of

  345. fainting whether you know it or not.

  346. See, a faint don't happen when you hit the ground.

  347. A faint happens while you're standing and it begins

  348. internally before it manifests externally.

  349. OK. If someone is fainting, as in

  350. the physical faint, it begins internally.

  351. And by the time they do this, it's already been going for a

  352. minute, right? And they're hitting the ground.

  353. It's just an extension of what they've been experiencing.

  354. You have to practice not fainting.

  355. How do you practice not fainting?

  356. When we come in to praise and worship God, do you have do it?

  357. Are you given everything you got?

  358. When it's hot, are you pressing in?

  359. When you don't feel like it, are you pressing in?

  360. Are you practicing not fainting in moments like this?

  361. So you can be like those Hebrew boys when they say when the

  362. sound blows bow or you go into the fire.

  363. The reason they could stand in that time of being challenged to

  364. worship because they had practiced not fainting in

  365. worship 1000 times before then. God gives us opportunities to

  366. practice not fainting. Are you taking advantage of it?

  367. When stuff is going well, it's too long.

  368. Maybe God's trying to teach you how not to faint over time

  369. because you can't win every contest in three seconds.

  370. Ask Mike Tyson. Look at the Rocky movies.

  371. Sometimes you can only win the fight if you can go to distance.

  372. The nations in the marketplace are watching you to see if our

  373. God finishes. They're watching you, and based

  374. on what they see from you, they're going to determine

  375. something about God. So they're watching you to see

  376. how committed you are to finish in this remnant project.

  377. They're watching you to see how committed you are to being

  378. rooted. They're watching you to see how

  379. committed you are. And based on what they see,

  380. they're going to make decisions about God.

  381. They're not going to be into. Well, you have to understand how

  382. faith works in my circumstance. They're going to say you

  383. worshipped that God. You didn't finish your God.

  384. Don't finish, right? So City Hall's watching.

  385. We gave you your permit. How long ago?

  386. How long it's supposed to take the building to be finished

  387. after you get your permit. Our landlords are watching.

  388. Hey, you got the permit, You ready to go?

  389. What's going on? They watching and based on what

  390. they're seeing and making determinations about your God.

  391. Now I want to speak to something that's creeping up in the room.

  392. Why I got to be about money? Why I got to be about buildings?

  393. You ever read the story about Joseph in the Bible?

  394. The economy was facing cataclysmic future.

  395. God cared enough about the world that he had a man in place with

  396. a prophetic vision and a track record of excellence backing

  397. him. His heart didn't faint in the

  398. pit when his brothers put him in.

  399. His heart didn't faint in the jail when he was there the first

  400. time. His heart didn't faint in the

  401. palace when this woman's man's wife was trying to get after

  402. him. His heart didn't faint when he

  403. got put in jail and was forgotten about.

  404. His heart didn't faint and his excellence didn't diminish, and

  405. God needed him to be raised up with a vision and a dream.

  406. You know what's really interesting?

  407. That God didn't even give Joseph the dream.

  408. That was the explanation for how to do it all.

  409. He gave it to somebody that didn't know God.

  410. He gave it to somebody that didn't honor God.

  411. He gave it to one of them because He loves people.

  412. He gave it to someone who can really make a difference, the

  413. head of the government, hoping that the head of the government

  414. would get an understanding what happened.

  415. And then God raised Joseph up to bring that understanding.

  416. And through that understanding, Joseph not only saved the

  417. nation, but when you understand when the world collapsed, people

  418. came down to Egypt at that time. So you can, you can

  419. metaphorically say, Joseph, save the world, not just those that

  420. love God, but everybody. I'm telling you, God is dealing

  421. with us about resources, economy and money, as I shared in the

  422. opening, because there's a shaking that's coming.

  423. And your ability to stand and not faint in the midst of that

  424. is going to be critical. So He's teaching us lessons now

  425. of how not to faint in the ways that allow us to stand, how not

  426. to faint in generosity and gratitude, in Thanksgiving, in

  427. praise and in worship. Now, preacher, how do you know

  428. that's coming? Well, you can go to the Book of

  429. Revelation and it says this, the day shall come that the only way

  430. you're going to be able to buy or sell is with a mark.

  431. And those that choose the mark are going to basically be opting

  432. out of what God has provided for them.

  433. If you don't know how to faint in the midst of economy, in the

  434. face of that pressure, you know what?

  435. The Bible says that some of the people, if I remember correctly,

  436. some of the people chose the mark.

  437. I got babies at home. If I don't feed them, they die.

  438. Imagine that pressure. They weren't even just choosing

  439. the mark because they was lazy. They weren't choosing just

  440. because they felt a pressure for lives they were responsible for.

  441. And in that pressure, their hearts fainted because he had

  442. not practiced learning how to trust God in the midst of

  443. economy. The Bible says this.

  444. You cannot serve God and mammon. You got to choose.

  445. And it's no blended function in the Kingdom where I'll give me

  446. 20% God and 80% mammon, and I'll just call that a salad.

  447. God don't serve like that. God is calling us to clarify our

  448. Marks and our motivations, how we live, how we do, how we deal

  449. with money, how we deal with economy, because He wants a

  450. whole heart, because it's just having a whole heart, us having

  451. his, his having ours and us having his that's going to allow

  452. us to sustain in that time. And rather than being another

  453. example of something that's failed, we'll be able to be a

  454. beacon of hope, a city on a hill, a light shining for the

  455. world to see. And when everyone is failing to

  456. say, come, come all to you that are labor, come all to you that

  457. are heavy laden. We got more than enough because

  458. our God is more than enough. And we know how to receive

  459. whatever is required for the moment because he's taught us

  460. how not to faint. He's taught us how to be

  461. generous. He's taught us how to deal with

  462. the things of life. He's prepared us for such a time

  463. as this. The kingdoms of God and darkness

  464. are watching you also. They're watching you to see if

  465. you finish. The world is watching to see if

  466. our God finishes because they the only thing, only way they

  467. know God is to look at us. But the Kingdom of God and the

  468. Kingdom of darkness is watching us to see if we got what it

  469. takes to finish. Are we finishers?

  470. Why is that important? Because when you know someone's

  471. a finisher, you approach them different.

  472. Michael Jordan, can I say the best basketball player of all

  473. time? They would say this about them.

  474. Don't mess with them. Don't get them upset.

  475. Leave him alone. Don't.

  476. Don't get him angry, but don't say anything in the paper before

  477. the game. Why?

  478. Because if you mess with him, he has a way of finishing what you

  479. start. Don't mess with a finisher.

  480. He will embarrass you. He will show you up and the

  481. biggest moment of your life, he will make you look inept and

  482. incapable by his command of dominance.

  483. In the moment. You don't mess with the

  484. finisher. There's a story about a game a

  485. rookie came up to him and it was having his way with Michael

  486. Jordan scoring points 3/4. Michael maybe had maybe two

  487. points, six points or eight points or whatever it was, and

  488. the guy looked at Michael Jordan, said, hey, got you.

  489. Michael Jordan scored 27 points in the last quarter of that game

  490. and they won the Kingdom of God. To see if you're a finisher and

  491. you don't become a finisher by the big things only.

  492. Are you finishing your praise? Are you finishing your word?

  493. Are you finishing your meditations?

  494. Are you finishing your forgiveness?

  495. Are you finishing your Thanksgiving?

  496. Are you finishing in the things that lead up to the big things?

  497. Because that's where you build your faith that finishes.

  498. A finishing faith strikes until it's done.

  499. How do you know if you got a finishing faith?

  500. Do you strike until it's done? The reference Second Kings,

  501. there was a king I'll prophet came along said shoot the arrow

  502. out the window. Thank you, I'll work on those

  503. sound effects. OK, whoopsie, I repeated it

  504. tells you I'll work on it right. So the arrow goes out, goes out

  505. and lands, and then the prophet gives the king another arrow and

  506. the prophet just says strike the ground and the king goes 123.

  507. And at that point the prophet goes or something like that.

  508. In my mind, that's how I see it. He said, why did you only strike

  509. three times? Had you struck five or six

  510. times, your enemies would have been destroyed and you'd have

  511. never seen a meaning. Your enemies and the generations

  512. of your family to come would never be able to see that enemy

  513. rise up against them again. But because you only struck

  514. three times, you didn't finish. Man, you look what was

  515. comfortable. You took what was easy.

  516. If the prophet says strike, then you strike it.

  517. He says stop. That's a faith that finishes, a

  518. faith that finishes. A finishing faith strikes until

  519. it's done. We will give until it's done.

  520. I will sacrifice until it's done.

  521. I will pray until I see it. I will continue to praise until

  522. we see what God has promised. I will stand.

  523. I will continue to forgive until it's all done.

  524. I, I, I'm not going to quit. I'm going to keep striking.

  525. I'm going to keep giving. I'm going to keep praying.

  526. I'm going to keep standing. I'm going to keep thinking.

  527. I'm going to keep lifting up your hands and keep standing by

  528. your side until it's done. A finishing faith strikes until

  529. it's done. A finishing faith kills, cuts

  530. and shares the victory. This is this is David and

  531. Goliath. The thing you got to understand

  532. about David, if you read the passage, God never told David to

  533. go kill Goliath. God did not even send him to the

  534. battle line. David was the Uber driver.

  535. David was to skip the dishes. Dude, his daddy said go send

  536. lunch to the fellas. And he like, well, it's been a

  537. long drive to bring this lunch. Let me check out what's

  538. happening, OK, and see what's going on.

  539. And it's in that moment David had a finishing faith.

  540. And the finishing face is, you mean this Joker's been coming

  541. out here? How?

  542. How long? Defying the living God we serve,

  543. and he's still standing. Hold on, hold on.

  544. What's going on? See, we get a different sequence

  545. from how David experienced it. I believe David looked at this

  546. joker and he said, man, dude, I've already known how to finish

  547. a lion. I've already learned how to

  548. finish a bear. I've already learned how to

  549. finish my attitude and pride as the youngest son out there

  550. watching the sheep while my brothers sent out the fight.

  551. I've already learned how to finish my own agendas so I can

  552. serve my Father in any way that he needed.

  553. I've learned how to finish some things and I've because of what

  554. I've learned and because of who I've learned it from, and

  555. because who's with me? Because I serve a God that's a

  556. finisher. You going to be finished just

  557. like all these other things have been.

  558. God is finishing. He went out there and He saw an

  559. opportunity to finish. No one asked him to go kill

  560. Goliath. No one asked him.

  561. He said man y'all standing around this is an opportunity

  562. for a finisher and I got what it takes, what you get if you

  563. finish this dude off Catholic Kingdom daughter, no taxes

  564. because it's OK to understand there's a value in finishing.

  565. There's a reward to finishing. The Bible says this cast not

  566. away your confidence for you have great recompense of reward.

  567. And the Bible talks about being diligent.

  568. And if you continue to be diligent, you shall reap that

  569. what you sown. There is a reward that comes

  570. with finishing. That's OK to say.

  571. Does that come to me? And he did that and he said, OK.

  572. Then he turned and he told him how he was going to finish him.

  573. Let me tell you, tell you what a finishing faith is.

  574. A finishing faith sees the vision of what needs to be done

  575. even without the resources. David said to Goliath, I'm not

  576. only going to drop you, but I'm going to cut off your head.

  577. David did not have a sword, so I understand what he's saying

  578. there. And you know I'm going to tell

  579. you I've been in places where God is moving on you.

  580. You begin to speak some things. You may not even know why you're

  581. saying stuff he may not even thought about.

  582. I'm going to use his sword to cut his head off.

  583. But the God who's a finisher says when they gave him the word

  584. to declare, he gave him a word of finishing.

  585. You're going to cut off his head no matter how it's going to get

  586. done. Didn't matter whether I have a

  587. sword or not. Now, now, if you really

  588. understand the, the, the, the, the passage I get, I like to

  589. extrapolate it this way. If you really understand it,

  590. there's no evidence that David had ever used the sword before

  591. in the Scripture when he was out there with the shepherds, he was

  592. using the slang. That's what he said.

  593. He tried Saul's arm and he said this don't work for me.

  594. I ain't used to using all this kind of stuff.

  595. There's no evidence he ever used the sword before.

  596. But because he's a finisher and he got a finishing faith and a

  597. finishing God, he said, don't worry that you never knew how to

  598. do what I'm getting ready to teach you to do.

  599. Don't worry, you never ever lifted up a sword that size at

  600. least if at all. Don't worry, the grace is on you

  601. to finish because I'm a finisher will equip you to have have

  602. whatever resource you need and to know how to do it to the

  603. finish. Your ignorance is not an excuse,

  604. and your ignorance is not going to keep me from finishing what I

  605. promised you I would do. What?

  606. Cut? What clean cut?

  607. Bam, that was it. And he took the head and paraded

  608. it. The Bible says this.

  609. There's a translation, I think it's Annabeth's Bible.

  610. I saw sitting down here. I read it down here.

  611. I don't know what translation it was, but it says this.

  612. And when they saw that Goliath had fallen, it says the people

  613. rallied. Your finishing faith were rally

  614. hearts from fainting to strength.

  615. Your finishing faith will rally destinies and rally the promises

  616. of God. Your finishing faith will rally

  617. a world that's lost. To have hope that maybe there's

  618. a difference, maybe things can't change.

  619. Maybe there's hope for me. They rally them so strong that

  620. they pursued them all the way out of the valley, leaving dead

  621. bodies all along the way. What are the dead bodies for?

  622. Testimonies to anyone else who comes along that has not heard

  623. the story before to get them to ask questions about what is this

  624. and then to hear what God has done.

  625. Finishing faith leaves testimonies along the way for

  626. people to begin to grasp onto so they can begin to finish and

  627. learn how to finish their faith. A finishing faith impacts

  628. generations. You do not have a finishing

  629. faith until you have a faith that's believing to impact

  630. generations. You may have faith, but it's not

  631. a finishing kind of faith. A finishing faith impacts

  632. generations. Isaiah 37 says 3735 says this

  633. for I would defend this city to save it for my own sake and my

  634. servant David's sake. This God speaking David long did

  635. David had a finishing faith faith.

  636. They continue to speak to God long after he was gone and he

  637. said, David, you had to finish your favorite bro.

  638. So I'm going to finish your assignment long after you've

  639. left this earth for my servant David's sake.

  640. I'm going to finish what he set out to finish even though he

  641. wasn't alive to do it himself. I'm going to finish your forum.

  642. It says this Proverbs 1322 A good man leaveth King James, an

  643. inheritance to his children's children and the wealth of the

  644. sinners laid up for the just. A finishing faith goes two

  645. generations at least. Are you doing finishing what

  646. you're doing in a way that leaves a faith that lasts 2

  647. generations? Are you creating like the

  648. sourdough example, the kind of yeast or the starter that can go

  649. on for at least two generations? 2 generations?

  650. If you're conservatively speaking, it's 35 years, 3035

  651. years at least, or more. Well, people, 35 years from now,

  652. I'll be declaring and telling my daddy Caleb Swain, when faced

  653. with the Goliath of whatever in his life, he stood and he

  654. believed God no matter what it was.

  655. And that giant drop, just like it did for David.

  656. And we have a testimony of that goodness in our family and

  657. grandchildren, not mine, his. That's what you're living on

  658. right now. The faith of your grandfather,

  659. faith that finishes is generational.

  660. How important is this to God? Deuteronomy 7 verse eight says

  661. this. But because the Lord loved you,

  662. and because He would keep the oath which He had sworn unto

  663. your Father's generational reference, hath the Lord brought

  664. you out with a mighty hand, and ain't even bout you.

  665. It's about the promise of the finisher that went before you.

  666. Your finishing faith can get your future bloodline out of

  667. problems that they didn't even ask to get out of.

  668. Because you finished. Has the Lord brought you out

  669. with a mighty hand and redeemed you out of the House of bondsman

  670. from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt?

  671. Know therefore that the Lord thy God, He is God the faithful God

  672. which keeps covenant in mercy with them that love Him and keep

  673. His commandments to 1000 generations.

  674. God will take your finishing faith and and have it cascade

  675. out 1000 generations if you understand what finishing faith

  676. is when it's in your heart. God, I'm not going to be

  677. satisfied with what you do in Wally until 1000 generations of

  678. Wally residents know your goodness.

  679. Whatever you got to do, God do it.

  680. Let me do my part now so that 1000 generations of Wally

  681. residents will know your goodness.

  682. God is like, oh, I like that kind of party.

  683. I said so much about what it is that you're doing.

  684. We're going to pray. I'm going to stop right there.

  685. We're going to pray and I do encourage or exhort you.

  686. I admonish you to come for the next experience, to finish this

  687. up as much as we can because God is imparting something.

  688. He's imparting the finisher into you.

  689. That's what the grace of what it is about When you exercise your

  690. faith to receive from God, there's a grace that gets

  691. imparted into you. And like David maybe who never

  692. even wielded a sword, had a grace that wield one in the

  693. biggest moment of his life. God is imparting something into

  694. us in this moment. Some encourage everyone to lift

  695. their hands. This moment only those that want

  696. to receive, and I mean that sincerely.

  697. I ain't trying to. If you want to receive, lift

  698. your hands. There's no pressure.

  699. Father, I'm praying right now. The God we receive a finishing

  700. faith, receive what it takes for the good fight of a finishing

  701. faith. Father, we're receiving the

  702. impartation of this right now. We receive it not just with our

  703. eyes, not just with our ears, but as Mary received your spirit

  704. deep within her womb to give birth to Jesus.

  705. We receive it into the depth of our souls and our beings.

  706. God, you're causing us to be finishers.

  707. We pray and we're declaring it so today that we are finishers

  708. after your own heart. We are finishers after the Omega

  709. in the Alpha and the Omega. We are the finishers that endure

  710. to the end. God, by your grace, you're

  711. imparting it to us. Wisdom and revelation,

  712. understanding of how to finish so we can intensely draw on what

  713. it takes to finish as we face the challenges of our day.

  714. Father, we give you the praise and glory for it and we thank

  715. you And I just want to tell you this very quickly and how much

  716. God sees you as a finisher. He did all his creation and it

  717. was only come here. It was only after, after God

  718. made you in Genesis. I'm talking about make man, He

  719. said. That's my finishing touch.

  720. He's a finisher. He's the finish to it.

  721. That's how much finishers we are.

  722. That's how much we can have a finishing faith in God.

  723. He didn't say it was finished beforehand, but when he said,

  724. man, God, now it's finished because I put a finisher on the

  725. end of it. Father, we thank you for that

  726. and give you praise and glory for it in Jesus name.

  727. Thank you so much for tuning into this week's sermon.

  728. We pray you were challenged, equipped and encouraged.
