  1. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International

  2. Church podcast where we seek to love all nations, equip the

  3. church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.

  4. We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever

  5. you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get

  6. your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe

  7. some tea, and get ready to receive.

  8. It's go time. Let's get into it.

  9. Y'all can have a seat for long as you can.

  10. Pastor Terence, Pastor Julia, thank you for another

  11. opportunity to declare the Word of God, to call forth the

  12. blessing of heaven in our midst. Thank you for the trust.

  13. And we thank you that we have pastors that hear God, that obey

  14. his voice, that walk with, that walk with God.

  15. We're going to try that again. We grateful that we have pastors

  16. that hear God, that obey his voice, that walk with God.

  17. How many of y'all? You've never really had a pastor

  18. before until you got here, at least not to the depth you all

  19. ought to be. The Lord is here to show God's

  20. faithfulness, to give you a pastor, to pastor you that hears

  21. God after his own heart. Come on now.

  22. Great is our faithfulness. We thank you for faithful

  23. pastors. Yeah, yeah.

  24. You need to stay right there. I'm just going to talk.

  25. Father, we thank you that we're talking about digging deeper

  26. today, digging deeper, digging deeper, digging deeper.

  27. Good fight of finishing faith. We're going to have some review,

  28. but we're going to go deeper than we went last week.

  29. There may be some impartation, but it's going to be some more

  30. detail to allow you to anchor your faith a little bit better.

  31. I want to start with this God is this comes from the word God

  32. gave at the beginning of the year.

  33. And Pastor reminds me, this is we talked about it.

  34. See, God is doing a lot, but he's not asking us to do a lot.

  35. There is a lot going on around us, but we don't have to do it.

  36. We have to behold what and trust God as he accomplishes it.

  37. Pastor said at the beginning of the year, the most key aspect of

  38. us and our church family is the ability to stand.

  39. But you have to understand that standing means standing firm.

  40. It doesn't mean standing still doing nothing.

  41. There is a standing faith that has activity to it.

  42. There's a standing faith that has power to it.

  43. There's a standing faith that has that still is moving and

  44. activating what God is doing. God is calling us.

  45. They have a faith that stands firm, but not one that stands

  46. still. And in the midst of that, we

  47. ought to have a focus singularly on what God is called where and

  48. what God is called to stand on. What does it mean you can stand?

  49. Firm. But not standing still.

  50. David stood firm when he saw Goliath, When he ran, he stood

  51. firm. When he stood his sleep shot, he

  52. stood firm. He stood firm.

  53. But he didn't stand still. Doing nothing.

  54. The call to stand is not an excuse to disconnect, to back

  55. up, to lay down, to get a lukewarm face, to sit back and

  56. expect God to do what He's calling you, to partner with Him

  57. in. Hey man, we want to finish up

  58. this evening. In our experience, we talked

  59. about a lot this morning, but we want to go straight to a part we

  60. wanted to finish up see this, I'll do a little bit of review.

  61. Since God is training a generation to finish, they have

  62. strong hearts that won't fail when facing generation or

  63. defining increased threats and difficulties.

  64. The increase is in addition from the last time I shared this word

  65. because God is going to release great increase in this time to

  66. accomplish his purpose. He's releasing great in increase

  67. to carry you over the difficulties that we will face.

  68. In much the same way, God told Joseph there'll be seven years

  69. of blessing and then seven years of famine.

  70. Let your blessing prepare you to.

  71. Keep you in your. Famine so you we need the wisdom

  72. to steward the increase when we're faced with it and it's

  73. going to be generational increase, something we haven't

  74. seen. And why is it important to

  75. understand that? Because when you receive money

  76. like you've never had, you tend to get complacent.

  77. You tend to forget God, you tend to lose your priorities, and all

  78. of a sudden you begin to spin on all of the hidden desires of

  79. your flesh that you hadn't checked.

  80. It was just buried because you didn't have the money to do it.

  81. Now that you got the the resource, now all of your

  82. desires become begin to come up and what you find is the

  83. resource God gave you for His purpose.

  84. Begin squandered on what you desired, not for what God sent

  85. it for you for you to do. You're going to, it's going to

  86. take, it's going to. Take a lot of faith to walk with

  87. God in the midst of the increases, wells of threats and

  88. difficulties. Knowing God is not is necessary,

  89. but not enough. Though Jesus is enough, knowing

  90. him is not enough. Knowing is a means by which we

  91. connect with Him. Knowing God is not is necessary

  92. but not enough. Want to make that clear from the

  93. last time. I'm not saying you don't have to

  94. know God. I'm saying it's necessary but

  95. not enough. Loving God is necessary but not

  96. enough. Signs and wonders are necessary

  97. but not enough. And showing up is necessary but

  98. not enough. Doing your part is necessary.

  99. Doing your part is necessary but not enough.

  100. Praying is necessary, but it's not enough.

  101. Community is necessary but not enough money.

  102. Times. When people talk about

  103. community, what they mean is a group of people that I can that

  104. can serve me. I want a group that will help me

  105. feel good about me. I want a group that will help me

  106. do the things I like to do and help cultivate my interests and

  107. help eat at the places where I want to eat.

  108. It's very rare that people look at commute.

  109. Community is a place. That I can serve with purpose.

  110. God give me a group of people who I can pull my life out upon

  111. in service to them, even if nothing comes back.

  112. Most folks consider that to be slavery or bondage, not

  113. community. The word community comes from

  114. the roots. Common unity.

  115. Common unity around the purpose. So if you're thinking about

  116. community as being something that serves me and my emotions

  117. and my loneliness. So you're missing the whole

  118. point of community to begin with.

  119. But even community and its best is not enough.

  120. Worshipping is necessary, but not enough.

  121. You must have a finishing faith. Jesus was at the wedding of

  122. Canaan. He was there at the wedding but

  123. they still ran out of wine. Him being there wasn't enough.

  124. The people were asked to feel the with water and they did so

  125. with excellence. It was their finishing faith to

  126. do with excellence that triggered the miracle.

  127. Not just Jesus being there. Jesus was there, His disciples

  128. was there, and his Mama was there.

  129. You need to. Have a finishing faith, All of

  130. those things that I declared. Were not enough.

  131. Were ways that we activate mature engage the Lord in what

  132. He's called us to do present there.

  133. It's all powerful. Jesus said this to one person

  134. who was blind or sick. He said what do you want from

  135. me. He still had to say I want to be

  136. healed. It wasn't until his face cried

  137. out to finish the thing that was binding his body that all of a

  138. sudden the healing flow though Jesus was present and asked the

  139. question Are you ready. The Bible says God knows what's

  140. on our hearts before we ask. So God already knew what was on

  141. his heart before he asked. But him knowing what was on his

  142. heart before he asked was still not enough.

  143. He had to have a faith that cried out to finish this

  144. sickness of my body, and God responded in that regard.

  145. A finishing faith rejects time pressure.

  146. We're developing that a little bit.

  147. A faith will fight time. Time tries to induce fear and

  148. shortage. And many times we will put time

  149. pressure in our faith at the beginning in a subtle fashion.

  150. OK, so you can diagnose with a sniffle.

  151. Do you believe God can heal that?

  152. Yeah, I do. OK, let's keep it down.

  153. Yeah, I do. You know why?

  154. Because sniffle is going to take 5.

  155. Years to turn into cancer. I got time.

  156. So Can you believe Jesus can heal?

  157. Stage eight start cancer. I don't know.

  158. We have enough time. It's subtly laid in there, this

  159. idea of time when we believe God OK by finishing faith resists

  160. pressure for time. God is not bound by time.

  161. He created time. God can do whatever he wants to

  162. do, how he wants to do it. He's not limited in that regard.

  163. And what time pressure comes to do is to get people into fear.

  164. Time is designed to do that. The Bible declares that the

  165. enemy knows his time is running out.

  166. God put a clock on him so he would know your time is coming

  167. up. And in seeing his time is up,

  168. he's getting so greatly afraid. He's trying to pull out all the

  169. stops, trying to deceive the very elect because he knows his

  170. time is running out. So time is designed to in some

  171. ways to create a sense of fear and urgency they lack.

  172. I'm going to not have enough at some point.

  173. A faith that finishes. Resist time pressure.

  174. I don't care if there's .3 seconds left on the clock.

  175. It don't matter to me. I'm not.

  176. I'm trying to get a 5 point lead because I don't have to go down

  177. to a last second shot. It doesn't matter to me.

  178. I'll play 8 overtimes. It doesn't matter to me.

  179. A finishing faith rejects time pressure.

  180. Jesus with Lazarus, they came and told him.

  181. Lazarus, the one whom you loved, is sick.

  182. He stayed there two more days. Lazarus died.

  183. Jesus was deciding to follow God more than succumb to the

  184. pressure of time, and one of the things time does is try to

  185. challenge your love for God. God, I'm running out of time.

  186. If you loved me, you would do it.

  187. God, I'm running out of time. I thought you loved me enough,

  188. God. And these are things we don't

  189. ever say, but can be sown as seeds in our hearts because

  190. we've only known a love that's been conditional before we've

  191. come to the love of God. Jesus was impervious to that and

  192. was working the greatest strategy.

  193. He stayed two days while he said, I'm not going to let time

  194. pressure, he interrupt my finishing faith.

  195. And at the end of it he went Lazarus got healed and raised up

  196. from the dead. In Joshua chapter 10, it says

    Joshua 10 chapter mention

  197. this. Then Joshua spoke to the Lord on

  198. the day when the Lord gave the amber rights over to the

  199. Israelites. And he said, in the sight of

  200. Israel sun, be silent and stand still at Gibeon, and you moon in

  201. the valley of Angelon. He's.

  202. Speaking the time time you want to serve me, time will not run

  203. out until I win. I'm going to finish and I will

  204. finish in faith and I shall see the promise of God brought the

  205. past. I will see for those that are

  206. for my life. I will see it in my life for

  207. those that are for the next generation.

  208. I will see it at a distance and I won't wave it and by I'll wave

  209. it. Come on, I'm checking out.

  210. But you still got to keep coming.

  211. And the 1st 13 says this, he spoke.

  212. Now notice it doesn't say God told him to say this.

  213. A finishing faith understands the character of a finishing

  214. God, and from that relationship he speaks the heart of God to

  215. finish. And the sun stood still, and the

  216. moon stayed at whose command? At God's command, Joshua's

  217. command. God is like, why you want me to

  218. talk when your mouth is sufficient?

  219. Stop asking me to do your job. You command your space, you

  220. command your time, you command your destiny, you command your

  221. context. I'll back it up.

  222. After all, you, my son, as a father plays catch, will stand

  223. behind his son. When the son or the daughter's

  224. playing catch, it is right there.

  225. The father will say don't worry, I got you backed up the ball.

  226. Not going to get away. I got you.

  227. You commanded and stood still. The moon stayed until the nation

  228. took vengeance upon their enemies.

  229. It stood still till I finished conquering all that the enemy

  230. sent against me. It stood still till I finished

  231. delivering my people. It stood still to all of me was

  232. done. Everyone was healed, everyone

  233. was safe, everyone was delivered.

  234. Not just written in the Book of Jasher.

  235. Out of the amount of two or three witnesses.

  236. That's what's been written in the book.

  237. We already know that, right? So the Son stood still in the

  238. midst of the heavens, and did not hasten to go down for about

  239. a whole day. When you command time, he gives

  240. a testimony of God's eternal power and weight.

  241. There was no day like it before or since.

  242. People are still talking about it.

  243. How you know I'm talking about it today when the Lord.

  244. Heeded the voice of a man for the Lord.

  245. Fought for Israel, Hughes need to have a finishing faith.

  246. I mentioned before the Kingdom of God's looking to see if you

  247. going to finish. So they're looking for you to

  248. speak. How are you going to speak?

  249. How are you going to talk? Do you really know who you are,

  250. who you are, and who we are together in this?

  251. He hated the voice of a man to stop time.

  252. Where's the boldness, the bold sacrifice to say that?

  253. Where's the bold sacrifice? No more people shall die from

  254. this until we get a hold of it. Where's the boldness to declare

  255. like what God has said here? If that's not enough for you, I

  256. want to take you to a headline. October 30th, 2017 Joshua stop

  257. the Sun 3224 years ago today scientists say this is the.

  258. Power of God's ability to command time.

  259. Now I've been talking about manipulating time.

  260. Well, God move all the traffic so I can hurry up to my lunch

  261. date. Why are you going to waste your

  262. power on that? You really going?

  263. You going to waste that on that? I'm not saying it don't matter

  264. to God, but gain some patience. Leave earlier.

  265. Why are you going to waste it on that?

  266. You don't use it for anything else more significant.

  267. Scientists say this is an article from the Times of

  268. Israel. It's by David Sedley, October

  269. 30th. It says this Cambridge residuals

  270. that just shows you how smart they are, right Cambridge?

  271. Researchers announced declared Monday that they have pinpointed

  272. the date of the biblical account of Joshua stopping the sun.

  273. You don't say of God stopping the sun for Joshua.

  274. They pinpointed the date when man spoke out of faith and trust

  275. is saying I'm going to finish what God called me to do and

  276. time is not going to pressure me out of it.

  277. Claim was the day the oldest eclipse ever recorded.

  278. In a paper published in the Royal Astronomical Society

  279. Journal of Astronomy and Geophysics researchers explained

  280. that what they were consequently also able to refine the dates of

  281. of the reigns of two Egyptian Pharaohs of that era.

  282. So Joshua was commanding the time in that day reset the

  283. destinies of two kingdoms. Don't let faith, Don't let time

  284. pressure you out of finishing in faith.

  285. Unless your God's name is clock, you shouldn't be concerned about

  286. what the clock going to do to your promise.

  287. And if your God's name is clock, you got a poor God.

  288. First Samuel says this when the men of Israel saw that.

  289. They were in a tight situation, time pressure.

  290. When they saw visual circumstance, they were in a

  291. tight situation, for the troops were hard pressed.

  292. They hid in caves and holes and rocks and dunes and pits or

  293. sisters. The very places where they

  294. poured Joseph to die, they're willingly going to hide in

  295. because of time pressure trying to get them to stop finishing

  296. their faith. Some Hebrews had gone over to

  297. Jordan, to the land of Gad and Gilead.

  298. As for Saul, he was still in Gilgal, and all the people

  299. followed him, trembling. This fear of time is pressuring

  300. the entire Kingdom. Saul waited seven days according

  301. to the set time. Samuel had appointed to offer a

  302. sacrifice. But Samuel had not come.

  303. He waited. He told me seven days, Samuel.

  304. He waited, but he had not come. See, when you are resisting time

  305. pressure, you think differently. What you think is, oh, not that

  306. he's not going to come. What you think of is like, oh,

  307. he may be on the way to my house to heal my daughter.

  308. He may have stopped to heal somebody else because he has

  309. more than enough power and more than enough time.

  310. I'm good, he said. Saul, wait.

  311. But Samuel had not come. And so Saul offered the burnt

  312. offering, which he was forbidden to do, ready time pressure, and

  313. just as he. Finish offering the burnt

  314. offering Behold, Samuel Cain just.

  315. As he. Finished behold Samuel Cain.

  316. He was seconds away from finishing but let the pressure

  317. of time. Let's focus on what people were

  318. saying. Let's focus on people's hearts.

  319. Fainting let's focus on the threats of what people were

  320. supposed to be and what was going on.

  321. You got to have a finishing faith.

  322. I think it's important to note now I'm just going to say this

  323. out of my. Spirit, I didn't check this, but

  324. I believe probably at this point David has already killed

  325. Goliath. What did I say?

  326. Who did I say? Killed.

  327. Goliath. David finished.

  328. Saul didn't. Maybe.

  329. Saul Sayed and seized the opportunity to finish in faith

  330. Goliath. Is why he's succumbing to

  331. pressure from time to not finish now.

  332. God is building you testimonies to finish, just like He's using

  333. this remnant project to give us a finishing faith.

  334. Verse 12 says this. I thought the Philistines will

  335. come down now upon me. Think about that.

  336. Time fear pressure, and time pressure is always selfish.

  337. What does it say? I thought the Philistines will

  338. come down now upon me. Not my people, not your people.

  339. I thought they want to come down upon me and I have have not made

  340. supplication to the Lord, so I first forced myself to offer a

  341. burnt. Offering.

  342. I made-up my mind that I was going to do what I needed to do

  343. anyway. I made-up my mind.

  344. I was going to stop listening to what God has said.

  345. I made-up my mind. I was going to stop trusting

  346. God. I made-up my mind that I had to

  347. do what I was going to need to do.

  348. And Lucky says there, you have to convince yourself of that.

  349. You never time never cancels your faith unless you've

  350. convinced yourself of that. The only way time cancels your

  351. faith is if you've convinced yourself.

  352. I have no more time. It's over what you have to say

  353. about the matter to yourself, Will.

  354. Determine time's. Ability to put pressure.

  355. On you and. You have to resist that

  356. pressure. And it says in verse 13 and

  357. Samuel said to Saul, you have done foolishly, you have not

  358. kept the commandment of the Lord your God which he commanded you.

  359. For the Lord. Would have established your

  360. Kingdom over Israel forever, but now?

  361. Your. Kingdom shall not continue

  362. because He let time stop him. From finishing the difference

  363. between a forever. Kingdom and it ends today was 3

  364. seconds of time pressure that kept him from waiting until

  365. Samuel got there to finish. Maybe just on the other side of

  366. your standing firm but not still.

  367. How do you stand Further but not still I stand.

  368. Firm God I trust you. God I believe.

  369. Your word God, I believe. Maybe sending your word to me.

  370. God, you told me not to offer, so I'll not offer.

  371. If it cost me my Kingdom, I'm going to be found standing in

  372. faith. Haven't trusted you. 1st is me

  373. creating my own solution, my own Kingdom, Thy Kingdom.

  374. My Kingdom versus thy Kingdom. But now your Kingdom should not

  375. continue. The Lord has sought out David, a

  376. man after his own heart, and the Lord has commanded him to be

  377. Prince and ruler over his people.

  378. Because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.

  379. It was so much bigger than just whether you offered sacrifice.

  380. Is that you? Did you trust me for the nation?

  381. Did you trust me that I was big enough and I cared enough and I

  382. loved the nation enough to still answer even though in your view

  383. time was running out? Faith that finishes does not

  384. give in to time pressure. It resists time pressure, and

  385. you have to resist it. If you are not actively

  386. resisting time pressure, time is already putting pressure on your

  387. faith. We live in an earth of time, so

  388. time is always putting pressure on your faith.

  389. So unless you are resisting it, it will eat away at your ability

  390. to finish. You know who got that kind of

  391. sense? Kids in the backyard.

  392. This is my kid in the stands, right?

  393. Yeah. Here I am.

  394. I got the basketball. Betty, how many kids do this?

  395. 5. 4321 Boom. Championship.

  396. What's a kid doing? He's telling time.

  397. You better back off. Me, I'm practicing resisting

  398. time pressure. Kids got enough sense and

  399. delight to do that. They practice those moments.

  400. How much more should we practice those moments?

  401. Pick an opportunity to stand with the finishing fake stance

  402. and resisting time. All those folks that want to be

  403. married resist time pressure. All those folks that thought I'd

  404. have it by now, resist time pressure.

  405. All those folks that thought my ministry would be this

  406. recipient, active and resisting time pressure.

  407. How you do it, Praise, Thanksgiving, prayer, worship,

  408. testimony of what God has done. That puts pressure on the

  409. pressure. Another pop series.

  410. Praise on your pressure. Anyway, A finishing faith

  411. understands the nature of the race, so he can finish each

  412. phase of the race. You have to understand the race

  413. you're running, OK? You have to understand.

  414. It because there's phases to the race and you not only have to

  415. finish and if I finish each phase.

  416. Then I will. Finish the race if I understand

  417. the phases. And I'm focused on finishing

  418. knows I will. Finish the course.

  419. OK, so if I understand the nature of the race, so you can

  420. finish each phase. Mark four says this.

  421. The earth produces acting by itself.

  422. First the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.

  423. See each of those stages, you got to finish each stage.

  424. You got to have finishing phase for each stage, a finishing

  425. phase says God, I don't want to leave this stage until we're

  426. finished. So I'm not coming back once I'm

  427. out, moving forward to the next place you have for me.

  428. So God, I'd rather spend more time here finishing than seeking

  429. to escape from it because I'm tired of doing the work,

  430. finishing each phase in a Sprint.

  431. We're in Olympics. See my French colors So, so my

  432. wife said that's USA colors. No, it's not stripes.

  433. There's no stripes. It's block colors.

  434. That's the French flag anyway. So in 100m race there's faces.

  435. There's the start phase, finish the start phase, get out of the

  436. blocks well. Then there is the transition

  437. phase. When you go from bowed over to

  438. more of a upright position, when you begin to get your feet

  439. underneath you a transition phase, then you got what you

  440. call an acceleration phase or a top end phase.

  441. OK, you got to know the different phases because what it

  442. takes to finish in this phase is different than what it takes to

  443. finish in that phase. In this phase you're starting

  444. bowed over. In this phase you ought to be

  445. upright. If you try to finish this phase

  446. at the start upright, you will blow the phase and therefore

  447. blow the race. How you to finish each phase can

  448. change. Coaches will say things like

  449. let's win the end of the quarter so we can have momentum going

  450. into the next quarter. Let's win the end of the half so

  451. we can have momentum coming out of the half time.

  452. You have to understand the phases of your race.

  453. You need revelation of that need God to speak to you about that.

  454. So you can have a finishing faith for each phase because

  455. what it takes to finish each phase we can differ.

  456. We said a finishing faith fully commits with consistency.

  457. One I want to really drive home because a finishing faith fully

  458. commits to the word with consistency.

  459. We're digging deeper here. Deuteronomy 6 says this and you

  460. should love the Lord your God with all your.

  461. Mind and heart and your entire being, and with all your might,

  462. stop. Is that enough?

  463. The scripture shows you that's not enough, otherwise I'd stop

  464. there. But what does it say?

  465. And these words which I'm commanding you shall be on your

  466. minds and your hearts. You shall wet and sharpen.

  467. Them so as to make them penetrate and teach and.

  468. Impress them diligently. That's a full commitment with

  469. consistency. Upon the minds and hearts of

  470. your children. Why does he say you need to?

  471. Teach these to your children because your children ain't

  472. hypocrites, not that you are. Your children would say why, and

  473. then you need to have an answer for why.

  474. Children would challenge you. You would challenge the depth to

  475. which you believe something. They would challenge your

  476. understanding, your revelation about what you believe.

  477. And when you get to the point of saying why, you say because I

  478. said so. You've just set your children up

  479. to fail. It's.

  480. Better to say I don't know why it's all I have.

  481. Then let us seek God together and see what He says to answer

  482. the rest of your wives. That's a better position of

  483. success. You shall and you shall talk of

  484. them when you sit in your house and when you.

  485. Walk, by the way. And when you lie down and when

  486. you rise up. When you do your.

  487. Word in the morning you miss him most.

  488. Of the day, how much is the word of?

  489. God on your lips. How much is the word of God in

  490. your heart? God so wants us to be fully

  491. committed to this word always. He gives us an example in

  492. Abraham. Abraham's name.

  493. Abraham's name was Abraham. He changed it to Abraham, which

  494. means Father many nations. That means literally when

  495. everybody saw Father many nations.

  496. What's up? Every way he went, every part of

  497. the day, when they called his name, they were given testimony

  498. to God's promise. He was remembering the word that

  499. God had. Given them Now imagine that when

  500. your body is 79, no kid Abraham father many nations.

  501. Body 80 no kid Abraham father many nations and all of that

  502. keeps coming back to you. That's where he was able to have

  503. the faith to stand and do what God needed him to do because he

  504. committed himself to the word so much.

  505. He made the word his name. You couldn't separate his

  506. identity from the. Word.

  507. If you want to know who I am, look at the word God gave me.

  508. That's who I am. You commit to the Word with

  509. consistency. In Psalm 138 it says this.

  510. I will confess and praise You, O God, with my whole heart before

  511. the gods. I will sing praises to you.

  512. I will worship towards Your holy temple and praise Your name for

  513. your loving kindness and for Your faithfulness.

  514. For You have exalted above all else.

  515. Your name and your word and you have magnified your word above

  516. your name. This is what he's saying here.

  517. God, you've demonstrated to me that your word is so, so

  518. connected to your identity that for you to break your word would

  519. mean for you to break you. That's how powerful God's word

  520. is. That's that's why God, you can

  521. commit to it. That's why the more you fully

  522. commit to God's word with consistency, you wouldn't what

  523. you're doing, You're not committing to a sentence, you're

  524. not committing to a phrase. You're committing to a person

  525. and a belief that he is everything that you're saying,

  526. everything that you're studying. You're committed to identity of

  527. your Father being good and being gracious and looking after you.

  528. You're committed to it in such a way that no one can whip it out

  529. of you, beat it out of you, shake it out of you.

  530. You're committed to it in such a way that.

  531. If you standing on the corner as a kid and and it's long past the

  532. time for someone to pick you up. They say, do we need to take you

  533. something? No, I'm standing here.

  534. Why? Because my father's coming to

  535. get me. How do you know?

  536. Because it seems like the time has passed.

  537. I'm not basing it on time. I'm basing it on my relationship

  538. with him, on who he is. You will never leave me.

  539. You will never forsake me. You will never abandoned me.

  540. To be fully committed to the words, to be fully committed to

  541. who God is, because God has put his identity in his Word.

  542. And when you doubt the Word, you doubt him.

  543. When you hold the word short, you hold him short.

  544. When you believe the word don't work, you believe and then he

  545. doesn't. And be watchful of those small

  546. cheats. Most people in this room won't

  547. say. I don't believe the word of God

  548. doesn't. Work.

  549. They was diluted down to 80%. They won't say God, no, you

  550. won't do it. They'll say, well, God, I

  551. believe you'll do it, but if you don't, but if you don't do it

  552. all, I'll take this. You water it down.

  553. That's like saying my daddy's faithful sometimes on a Tuesday

  554. after six. Glory to God, you got to be

  555. fully committed. A faith that finishes fully

  556. commits to being discipled with consistency.

  557. Everyone say being discipled. Mentorship is different than

  558. discipleship. Most people come to church

  559. wanting to get mentored or inspired.

  560. What is the difference? Between mentorship and

  561. discipleship, mentorship means I come to.

  562. You to resource. Me from my agenda, mentor me and

  563. how to do my business better, mentor me and how to accomplish

  564. XYZ better. I set the agenda, identify who I

  565. want to mentor me and I'm. There to get from them what I

  566. need to become them or to accomplish my goal of my task.

  567. OK, discipleship is I'm giving myself to you.

  568. Leave me where you need to teach me.

  569. Leave me where you need me to go.

  570. I want to be the best ever. So teach me how to eat.

  571. Teach me how to breathe. Let me partake of your life.

  572. Let me see your thoughts. Let me submit to your

  573. accountability. You have the right to speak into

  574. my life in any way. And I present it to you for you

  575. to do that. That's discipleship.

  576. It's not about my agenda, it's about what you see and your

  577. ability to bring God's best out of me, not based on what I know,

  578. what I want. I don't want my timetable.

  579. Are you committed to being disciple or do you want managed

  580. mentorship? Do you want bucks?

  581. Do you want better lifestyle? Do you want stuff?

  582. From the Kingdom. You have to ask yourself, how

  583. can you keep coming to church and not wanting to be disciple?

  584. What kind of transactional relationship is that?

  585. No, all I need is what I is, is that little message I get.

  586. All I need is that I don't need relationship.

  587. When you fall, who's going to pick you up?

  588. Who's going to teach you how to get up?

  589. When you fall, when nobody's around, discipleship is come and

  590. follow me, come and live with me, come and walk with me.

  591. The power of discipleship is that it multiplies your

  592. effectiveness in your call. Elijah said to Elijah, I'm

  593. getting ready, you know the part, what you want.

  594. He said this. I think, I believe he said it

  595. this. What do you want from me while I

  596. am still with you, you won't always have time and opportunity

  597. to be disciple by some people. Take advantage of it.

  598. He said I want a double portion of what you got.

  599. Double faith, double prayer, double power, double anointing.

  600. I want a double portion of what you got.

  601. Elijah said, OK, cool. Now notice God.

  602. He doesn't say. God told Elijah to say this, but

  603. this is the relationship. He said, all right, Elijah, this

  604. is what you do. If you see me caught up, see me

  605. leave. It was time to go.

  606. You'll get a double portion. Elijah said, OK, cool.

  607. Next day, I'm paraphrasing to kind of shorten it.

  608. Next day Elijah says, hey Elijah, why don't you go give me

  609. a sandwich, OK. Mentorship says no problem, I

  610. get your sandwich, you come back.

  611. Discipleship says I'm not leaving your side.

  612. Either we go get the sandwich together or we just eat what we

  613. got. I'm not going to leave your

  614. proximity. I'm not going to leave your

  615. life, I'm not going to leave your side.

  616. That's discipleship. And when Elijah got caught up,

  617. he cut and Elijah gave him a couple times to leave and every

  618. time he said, no, I'll not leave.

  619. And Elijah did get caught up and then his cloak for his mantle

  620. fail and he grabbed a hold of it and he said, take me to the God

  621. of Elijah, let me serve him. And he did twice the anointing.

  622. Discipleship increases your capacity geometrically.

  623. It multiplies your effectiveness and your ability.

  624. Mentorship only gets you information.

  625. Discipleship gets you. Impartation gets you.

  626. Activation gets you a sense of the purpose and the call of God.

  627. That's why if they say athletes, they call them dogs.

  628. Folks that have grit. And determination on how to

  629. finish. That's why players want to play

  630. with dogs. Why?

  631. Because I get something about a dog in me when I play with you.

  632. I get a. Determination.

  633. I get the subtleties of the game and how to fight and how to win.

  634. I get the mindset. I watch what you say.

  635. Watch what you eat. Watch how you practice.

  636. Watch how you recover. Watch how you rest.

  637. Watch how you say no. If you ask.

  638. Me to mentor you. You will never ask me, but I'll

  639. never. Many times you want to be as

  640. concerned about my nose as my yeses.

  641. You're trying to get a yes? From me, not how I say my nose.

  642. And sometimes my nose have more to do with my outcome than my

  643. yeses. Do If you serve one God, that

  644. means you're going to. Be saying no to more things that

  645. you say yes to. Mentorship is different than

  646. discipleship should be that van. And then I want to go to one

  647. other component to kind of go a little deeper on this.

  648. This is the finishing faith. Probably look this way.

  649. Yeah, there we go. A finishing faith knows how to

  650. increase momentum because a finishing faith faces facts.

  651. You increase momentum by facing facts, the good and the bad.

  652. OK, then this is really important.

  653. And the story from there in Romans says Abraham faced the

  654. fact his body was dead and his wife's body was dead.

  655. But he didn't. Give in to doubt, unbelief.

  656. He continued to worship God and then through that worship His.

  657. His faith was. Proven.

  658. And he finished. OK, it was proven that he

  659. finished. Got it.

  660. So he faced the facts. Of his body not being dead.

  661. OK, that's the bad part. A finishing faith is not afraid

  662. of facts. If you're down 20, a finishing

  663. face is we down 20. OK, let's get it down 15, then

  664. let's get it down 10, Then let's get it down 5, then let's get a

  665. stop. And before you know, we'll be

  666. back in this game. A finishing faith is not afraid

  667. of facing facts. And too often you want to duck

  668. facts because you frayed, because you started in fear.

  669. That's why you can't finish now. You started depending on no

  670. resistance. That's why you're not finishing

  671. now. That's why God had the people

  672. don't know how to fight in the desert, because if you don't

  673. know how to fight to get in, you don't get kicked off of it once

  674. you get there. And at that point, generations

  675. are going to be in line. Generations are going to lose

  676. their inheritance if you don't know how to fight to keep it.

  677. So, so to increase momentum, it's a few slides down.

  678. It's a new slide. It says this.

  679. You have to face facts, the good and the bad.

  680. Why do you have to face the good facts?

  681. Because that's the responsibility.

  682. Many time we don't understand the responsibility of walking in

  683. the fullness of God. We don't ascend the

  684. responsibility of finishing. Solomon was called to finish the

  685. temple. David gathered the resources and

  686. God said David, you're not going to build it, your son going to

  687. have. To build it Solomon was called

  688. to finish the temple to finish the faith OK, but he understood

  689. there's more than went with that there was a responsibility to

  690. steward well because people's lives are on the line that's I

  691. need to know how to face the facts of steward in great

  692. abundance, not just face the facts of problems.

  693. God, you're going to bless us and increase us.

  694. The fact is that we only have 5 so God, how are you going to

  695. expand our reach activate more people.

  696. How are we going to do that? Because we're not going to have

  697. any. May any be lost, God.

  698. Now sometimes when you face the facts that way, a finishing

  699. faith will have you give and not keep God.

  700. I only have room for 100 lbs of fish and you're going to sit and

  701. I believe you're going to send me £200.

  702. God, what do I do? We'll catch the 100 and give it

  703. away, then go get the other hundred.

  704. Now you got room for the 100. You catch you.

  705. Oh, oh, what does that mean? That means I'm the mindset.

  706. I'm losing. I'm losing.

  707. I'm losing out, right? A finishing faith says, listen,

  708. I don't ever lose. All I do is sew.

  709. I can't. You can't steal.

  710. From me, man. Why?

  711. Because what you would have stolen, I'm declaring.

  712. I'm going to sew it to you anyway.

  713. You know I would have. I sold this car to you at $5000

  714. less. That's all right.

  715. I just sold a $5000 profit into your life.

  716. I'm getting the harvest of profit coming back to me.

  717. You can't steal from me because I'm a sore.

  718. A finishing face says it's impossible for me to lose

  719. because I sold what I intentionally do.

  720. I sold what I don't have. Pastor Julia came up here.

  721. She had a great job. She didn't quit a job, didn't

  722. leave a job. She sold her job, SOWED.

  723. She sold her job and she's reaping harvest from it even

  724. right now. A finishing faith faces the good

  725. parts as well as the bad parts, and it's not selfish about the

  726. good parts. We understand God's not enough

  727. for you to increase us if we fail to do it to increase

  728. properly. So the facts is we're going to

  729. need more room. How are we going to do that?

  730. The facts is we're going to need this God, it seems, or will we?

  731. A finishing faith faces all of the facts, the good and the bad.

  732. And then at the end of the day. Above all else.

  733. A finishing faith finishes. A finishing faith does not

  734. almost finish. A finishing faith does not get

  735. close. A finishing faith doesn't say,

  736. man, I've come so. Far.

  737. Man, wow, I can just live on that.

  738. Finishing faith is not satisfied until you break the tape and you

  739. won't get through the finish. Matter of fact, I told you about

  740. sprinters. One of the things they teach

  741. sprinters how to do is how to finish.

  742. OK. What they tell you as a sprinter

  743. is you don't want to lean into the tape this way because now

  744. you throw your mechanics off and you actually slow down.

  745. What they tell you is. You run through the tape, you

  746. don't slow. Down to after you've crossed the

  747. finish line, pause finishing faith, runs across the finish

  748. line, doesn't crawl across the finish line, doesn't roll up to

  749. the finish line. Now I'm not saying you can't

  750. have victory crawling and rolling.

  751. I get that. But what I'm saying is, God

  752. wants you to. Have the kind of faith that says

  753. I will get stronger at the end. I will be bold at the.

  754. End. I will be bold and going out

  755. then I it was when I started. I'll leave more behind me than

  756. all of that was gathered to me together.

  757. The Bible says this about Samson.

  758. So he went through all the stuff he went through Samson strong

  759. man of God, left God, got into sin, but God never left him, got

  760. blinded through a relationship with Delilah, but God never left

  761. him and in his face of greatest need he came to a place of

  762. repentance. He was raised up to overcome the

  763. people that were terrorizing the people of God.

  764. But he didn't had a character to walk fullness in the call.

  765. He had a call, but no finishing character, no finishing faith.

  766. In the midst of that part, he said God.

  767. I got one more opportunity and they put them up between the

  768. temple pillars and he said God one more time and he destroyed

  769. the temple and then with it he destroyed more of the enemy in

  770. his finishing move than he did. In all of his life together.

  771. Finishing Faith finishes strong until the end, leaving a

  772. testimony of greater things, not lesser things.

  773. You have to decide to have a Finishing Faith worship team you

  774. can come on up. You have to decide to have a

  775. Finishing Faith before you start.

  776. You will never finish that strong unless you start to

  777. decide to start that strong. The thing about starting that

  778. strong is you may have to break it down.

  779. I used to bench press more than £300 but I want to finish my

  780. race now so I go to a trainer, Matt Big Dog.

  781. I go to a trainer and he tells me all your joints are

  782. compromised, your mobility is compromised, so you got to start

  783. with a broomstick. I used to bench press 325 lbs.

  784. Like I start with broomstick, brother.

  785. If you want to finish your life strong, sometimes you got to go

  786. back and recreate and rebuild and restructure and renew

  787. because that's not a weakening phase.

  788. That's a decision to finish because I decide to finish my

  789. race. I said bring on the broomstick,

  790. baby. Let's start, resident.

  791. Trying to move to the side and show you what I could do,

  792. Father. I was going to pray.

  793. Father, we thank you for this moment that we're finishers,

  794. We're finishers, we're finishers.

  795. You're making us a nation of finishers, a generation of

  796. finishers. A place of finishers, Father.

  797. So much so that when the world cries out, go find meet someone

  798. who can finish. They're going to say, go to Lord

  799. quest and you'll find one. We thank you God, that we have a

  800. finishing faith and ability to accomplish all that you've asked

  801. us to accomplish. We thank you, Lord God, for what

  802. you're doing and are you imparting this in us and threw

  803. us in these moments in this time.

  804. And we thank you, God, that you are finisher and you're our

  805. Father and we take after you in every way, including our ability

  806. to finish. So whatever happens, we finish,

  807. tragedy comes, we finish, trial comes, we finish, God, whatever

  808. comes, we finish. Prosperity comes, we still

  809. finish. We finish, we finish, We finish.

  810. We finish. We finish.

  811. We finish. We finish.

  812. We finish. We finish.

  813. We finish. We finish.

  814. We finish. We finish.

  815. We finish. We finish.

  816. We finish. We finish, We finish, We finish.

  817. We finish for our generation, We finish for our family, We finish

  818. for the the Kingdom, we finish for Wally, we finish for our

  819. passes. We finish.

  820. Yeah, we finish in Jesus name. Thank you so much for tuning

  821. into this week's sermon. We pray you were challenged,

  822. equipped and encouraged. Make sure to follow us on all

  823. platforms. That's Lovequest Intl church.

  824. We out here for real. We're really doing it.

  825. That's Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

  827. But until next time, you know the drill.

  828. You know the motto. Get your love fixed man and

  829. we'll see y'all real soon.
