Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International
-
Church podcast, where we seek to love all nations, equip the
-
church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.
-
We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever
-
you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get
-
your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe
-
some tea, and get ready to receive.
-
It's go time. Let's get into it.
-
Who? Knows that with just one look
-
everything can change. One encounter with the living
-
God and your whole life will never be the same.
-
Who knows that that moment you encountered the love of God, you
-
knew that you were seen by God and that God so love you.
-
He sent his only Son, that whoever believed in him shall
-
not perish, but have everlasting life.
-
One look and everything changed. If that's your story, give a big
-
shout of praise. Lord Most High, take your seat.
-
God is good. God is good all the time.
-
Hallelujah. Thank you, Sir.
-
How are you guys doing this beautiful morning.
-
It's good. You guys can take your seats in
-
the presence of the Lord. He is here.
-
He is here. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with your presence.
-
For those of you who don't know, my name is Pastor Dylan.
-
I'm one of the ordained pastors here at Love Quest International
-
Church, and it is my privilege to bring you the Word of God
-
this morning. And I'm, I'm very thankful to my
-
beloved pastors, Pastor Terence, Pastor Julia, for entrusting me
-
yet again with this microphone. And I do not take it lightly to
-
stand before you on behalf of God and bring a word I believe
-
will activate faith within the Saints to obtain the things of
-
God this side of heaven. And so I just thank you, Holy
-
Spirit, that you are with me. You empower me as your
-
surrendered servant to preach the Word of God.
-
And so today's title of what I'm going to preach to you is called
-
Put Your Face in the Sunlight. And that is not a typo.
-
I purposely wrote Sunlight, SON light, Speaking of the Son of
-
God, Jesus Christ. And at the top of the year, we
-
were given a prophetic charge and the man of God, Pastor
-
Terence, pulled up Scripture from Isaiah 60, a word that God
-
gave to his people. And God is saying the same word
-
to us, love quest. This is a word to activate us.
-
This is a word to charge us. This is a word to challenge us.
-
And this is what I'm going to be preaching here this morning.
-
So the word for today is, put your face in the sunlight.
-
Isaiah 60 verse one says, arise, touch your neighbor, say arise
-
from the depression and prostration in which
-
circumstances have kept you. Rise to a new light, shine, be
-
radiant with the glory of the Lord, for your light has come
-
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
-
And so this is a time where the Lord is taking his people from,
-
delivered to walking in dominion, from slaves to sons.
-
God's intent is to activate sons and daughters, to walk in the
-
same authority, the same power, the same love that Jesus Christ,
-
his Son walked in well on earth. Jesus came as an example to us
-
as what it looks like to be fully manned, fully surrendered
-
to God and and the Lord is trying to get the church to this
-
place of being the light of the world.
-
Jesus moved in the miraculous and as a result crowds were
-
gathered. The nations were drawn to him
-
because it was evident that he had something that they did not
-
and they wanted it. And that is the Lord's intent is
-
to get the body of Christ to move and operate the same way
-
that Christ moved and operated well on earth.
-
And so here we say the here we hear the man of God-given a word
-
from God saying to the people, arise, arise from the depression
-
and prostration in which circumstances have kept you,
-
circumstances have kept you. And so I'm going to, I'm going
-
to start by preaching to you about arise, arise, arise.
-
He says you can't arise because the glory has come upon you.
-
The glory has risen for you. You need to know that Jesus
-
Christ is that glory that has risen for you.
-
And so the Lord would be unfair to tell you to do something that
-
you are not equipped to do. But the Lord has a right to tell
-
you to arise because your help has come.
-
Your help is here, your help is in.
-
The Lord arise from the circumstances that have kept you
-
down. And so I want to speak to you
-
about circumstances that keep us down.
-
Circumstances speak to the way things are, or circumstances
-
speak to the lack of things. There's a slide for this.
-
You'll have to skip 1 to get to it.
-
Circumstances speaks to the way things are or the lack of
-
things. And then those are often the
-
reasons that that we are stuck in a downward state.
-
OK, Things are not going the way that I hoped or planned they
-
would. The things that I'm believing to
-
show up and manifest in my life are not here yet, and it's
-
bummed me out. It's keeping me in a downward
-
state. It's preventing me from shining
-
my life. How am I supposed to go and tell
-
the world about this, the victory I have in Christ, when
-
I'm still battling this sickness?
-
How am I supposed to tell the world about the victory I have
-
in Christ when the very thing I believe in Jesus for hasn't
-
arrived in my possession yet here on earth?
-
How am I spell supposed to walk in victory when this depression
-
keeps clinging to me? How am I supposed to tell the
-
world about the victory in Christ when I'm still the way
-
things are going in my life? It doesn't look like I'm walking
-
in victory. Well, I want to come and speak
-
to you about how the enemy has a plan.
-
The enemy has a cycle. Bible says to John 1010 that he
-
comes to steal, kill and destroy and he starts by stealing things
-
in our life. And then he wants that to go
-
from stealing things to killing our hope, killing our joy, and
-
ultimately has a plan to destroy our faith or our legacy of faith
-
of us being a, a people, a bloodline of faith where we
-
raise up children the way they should go, where we are soul
-
winners. But I just declare that we are
-
not a people that cling so tightly to things that when
-
things don't show up, when things are taken from us, it
-
does not disrupt our hope. It does not disrupt our joy.
-
For our joy is so much deeply more rooted than things here on
-
earth. The Bible says do not store up
-
for yourself things, treasures on earth where the thief can
-
destroy and where, where where rust and mold can destroy, but
-
store up for yourself treasures in heaven.
-
And so I just declare I'm in the presence of Saints who like Paul
-
said in Romans, we may be going through some things, we may be
-
in some rough, rough circumstances, But like Paul, we
-
are convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's
-
love. Neither death nor life, neither
-
angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries
-
about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separate us
-
from God's love that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
-
Our hope of glory. Hallelujah, Hallelujah,
-
Hallelujah, arise. The word of God says Pastor
-
Terence gave us this charge to say where he said look up, turn
-
to your neighbors, say look up. Get your face out of other
-
things that keep distracting you.
-
Keep your face out of other things that keep distracting
-
you. The enemy can't stop you, but he
-
can slow you down. And so it's not always the enemy
-
who's stealing things. But sometimes when we fix our
-
focus, when we meditate on when we obsess over the things of
-
this world instead of putting our hope and our affections on
-
the lower, it becomes a distraction.
-
If I'm just putting in front of my face Instagram and I'm
-
looking at everybody else's things or the way things are
-
going for everybody else, it starts to, I start to become
-
distracted. I get this woe is me about me,
-
Man, I wish I was doing what they were doing.
-
Man, I wish I had what they had. Man, I wish I had the the
-
influence that this person had. Man, this person's life looks
-
like it's so much more fun than mine.
-
But this is the season where we look up to the hills from where
-
our help comes from. This is where we stop fixating
-
on the things of this world and we push into the things of God.
-
This is the season that we lock in.
-
This is the season where it is go time.
-
And so look up, get your face out of other things that keep
-
distracting you. The face speaks to identity.
-
The face speaks to affection. The face speaks to attention.
-
And so where I am, where I am positioning my face is often
-
what's building my identity, and it's often where I am aiming my
-
affections. The Bible says that the eye is
-
the lamp of the body. The Bible also says what you
-
behold, you become. And So what we are putting our
-
face in front of what we are allowing into our eyes.
-
Not yet, please. What we're allowing into our
-
eyes directly impacts my heart, the eyes, the lamp of the body.
-
What you behold, you become. What I'm setting my face towards
-
is directly impacting my heart and the heart.
-
Heart belief is the very epicenter of which faith comes
-
forth from. I must be a steward, a guard of
-
my gates that impact my hearts in order for my faith to be
-
effective, for my faith to be potent, and for my faith to
-
work. The Bible says that hope
-
deferred makes the heart sick, but active hope where my hope is
-
positioned properly is a healthy heart.
-
And if heart belief is is directly impacting my faith, I
-
better make sure that my hope is set on Jesus Christ alone, for
-
He is the author, perfector and finisher of my faith.
-
And so where you keep your face is where you keep your faith.
-
Where you keep your face is where you keep your faith.
-
You choose where you aim your hope on the things that you
-
behold. You choose where you aim your
-
hope by what you said in front of your face.
-
And so it's time to look up, get your face out of the things that
-
are distracting you, and put them on Jesus.
-
And so it's time to arise, church.
-
It's time to arise. Put your face in the sunlight.
-
The message translation breaks down Isaiah 60 like this.
-
Get out of bed, Jerusalem. Get out of bed.
-
Love quest. Get out of bed, Andrew.
-
Get out of bed, Israel. Get out of bed, Rachel.
-
Wake up. Put your face in the sunlight,
-
for God's bright glory has risen for you.
-
The whole earth is wrapped in darkness, all people sunk in
-
deep darkness, but God shut it out.
-
But God rise is on me. His sunrise glory breaks over
-
you. Hallelujah, it is done church.
-
All you got to do is step into it.
-
The cross is a finished work. You just got to step into it.
-
Immerse yourself in the glory or goodness of God.
-
Immerse yourself in the glory or the goodness of God.
-
This is what I mean by put your face in the sunlight, Moses, ask
-
the Lord, show me your glory, and the Lord says I will cause
-
my goodness to pass before you. And who knows who knows that
-
Jesus is the King of glory, that Jesus is the love of God
-
revealed that Jesus Christ is the fullest expression of God's
-
love for us. The Bible says John 316 For God
-
so loved the world that he sent Jesus.
-
This word glory speaks to fullest expression of.
-
And so a flower that has fully opened and is fully bloomed and
-
is in its prime state, that is a flower that is in all of its
-
glory. And so Jesus Christ, the Bible
-
says in Hebrews 1/3, is the full glory of God revealed to the
-
earth. He exactly reveals God's nature.
-
He, he exactly reveals God's love.
-
He exactly represents God the Father in man form.
-
And so Jesus is the King of glory, the love of God revealed
-
Hebrews 1/3. I'll read it for you.
-
Jesus being the brightness of his glory, put your face in the
-
sunlight. Jesus the brightness of his
-
glory and the expressed image of His Person, and upholding all
-
things by the word of His power, when he had by himself purged
-
our sins and sat down at the right hand of the majesty on
-
high. And so Jesus Christ is the full
-
glory, the full expression of God's love.
-
Simultaneously, Jesus is the author, perfector, and finisher
-
of faith. And So what the Lord really hit
-
me with that He wanted me to get to you today.
-
He wanted me to reiterate this word that Pastor Terence
-
preached, that a faith rooted in love is a faith victorious, ever
-
blooming, and ever fruitful. In other words, love is the
-
foundation for a faith that works.
-
A faith rooted in love is a faith victorious, ever blooming,
-
and ever fruitful. The Bible says in Galatians 5.
-
When we are in Christ Jesus, the only thing that matters is faith
-
that is activated, energized and expressed and working through
-
love. You need to get this picture.
-
Faith operates and is energized and moves through love.
-
And so the Bible says that God is love.
-
God is love, it says it's in first John 4/16.
-
And so man, the Lord really started to unpack this thing to
-
me. The man of faith that works is
-
rooted in love and God is love in order to have a potent faith.
-
Man, sometimes we get so fixated on I want the thing.
-
So I got to figure out how to how to manipulate faith in order
-
to possess the thing. But the Lord, the Lord is
-
showing me he's like, man, just just get in my presence.
-
Come to know my love, understand the depths of my love for you.
-
Put your face in my sunlight in my glory.
-
Get to know the love that God expressed through Jesus Christ
-
for you. And when you understand how much
-
God loves you, your faith will be so potent because how could
-
God not? How could God not?
-
Because God is love and love has nothing but the best in store
-
for me. And so I started reading the
-
scriptures differently with this revelation, man, God is love and
-
Jesus is the author in faith. How do those work together?
-
And so I just, I started reading these scriptures that that I
-
have so well memorized, so written up my heart scriptures
-
like Matthew 633 where it says, but seek first the Kingdom of
-
God and his righteousness or seek first love.
-
Seek first the Kingdom of love. And all these things that your
-
faith brings shall be added to you.
-
And so you have to see the order of this.
-
You have to see man seek first love.
-
Seek first knowing who you are in the love of God before we're
-
trying to activate faith for things.
-
Man, put your face in the sunlight and know love.
-
Seek first love and righteousness.
-
Psalm 37 says, delight yourself also in the Lord, or delight
-
yourself also in love, and He shall give you the desires of
-
your heart. And so man, put your face in the
-
sunlight. There's something about man.
-
That song really hit me, man. Everything changes with just one
-
look from the Lord. Something about knowing that you
-
are seen and known and loved by God so much that He gave His
-
best to be reunited with you. That He just wants us.
-
He wants relationship with us, He wants us to be one with Him.
-
He wants us to seek first relationship with the Lord and
-
then all these other things will be taken care of for you.
-
And so the Word of God says arise, for Jesus has made it
-
possible for you to arise. The glory of the Lord has risen
-
so that you can rise too. Put your face in the sun, man.
-
Get to know who you are in Christ.
-
Be built up in the presence of God.
-
Be built up in the love of God. The Holy Spirit has been given
-
to you. Hebrews 55 says that the Spirit
-
of the Lord, the Holy Spirit, he sheds the love of God abroad in
-
your heart. And Jude and Jude 20 also says,
-
but you, beloved, build yourself up on your most holy faith,
-
praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God,
-
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
And it's in this place that we are to keep ourselves in the
-
love of God. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of
-
sonship is the one that reveals to us the love of God.
-
And we are the ones that are to position ourselves in the
-
presence of God. We are the ones that are to
-
positions ourselves in the light of the sun.
-
We are the ones that are to keep ourselves in the love of God.
-
And lastly, the Lord says shine. Now is the time for you to be.
-
Now is the time for you to walk in the spirit of sonship.
-
Now is the time to see yourself as one with Christ.
-
Now is the time that you yourself go and be the answer to
-
a lost and dying world. Now is the time freely you have
-
received. Now freely you give salvation on
-
to others. This is the year where sons and
-
daughters are activated in the mighty name of Jesus. 2nd
-
Corinthians says whenever someone turns to the Lord, or
-
whenever someone chooses to arise from the current
-
circumstances, the veil is taken away.
-
Where you were once blind, you can see now.
-
For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Lord is, there is
-
freedom. So all of us who have had that
-
veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.
-
Man, that is powerful. I want you to get that in your
-
spirit, say, I can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.
-
Hallelujah, it goes on to say. And the Lord, who is the Spirit,
-
makes us more and more like Him, so we are changed into His
-
glorious image. Man walking with the Holy
-
Spirit, cultivating a relationship with the Holy
-
Spirit, praying in the Holy Spirit, spending time in the
-
Spirit, seeking the Lord that will change you into His
-
glorious image. Faith is not something that is
-
learned. Faith is something that is
-
imparted into you through the word of God and through the
-
spirit of sonship at work inside of you.
-
It's time to shine. It's time to be Acts 1038.
-
We read about Jesus. Remember, Jesus is the glory of
-
God, the full expression of God. He is our role model.
-
He is the author, perfector and finisher of faith.
-
He is the one that we are to be like.
-
Acts 1038 says how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth.
-
Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about
-
doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for
-
God was with them, or the love of God was with him.
-
So here we see Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit,
-
that same Holy Spirit that I was Speaking of, that comes to bring
-
the glory out from you. Jesus had that same Holy Spirit.
-
And with that Holy Spirit he went and he shone everywhere he
-
went. He pushed back darkness
-
everywhere he went. He cast out the devils and
-
unclean spirits everywhere he went.
-
He cured sickness everywhere he went.
-
He he set the truth in place. Everywhere Jesus went, he did
-
good. And so we need to see here the
-
Holy Spirit went everywhere with Jesus.
-
Jesus says I must go so that the Holy Spirit can come on you and
-
go everywhere with you. And you need to know that you
-
are anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power to go
-
about doing good. And as Jesus was shining his
-
light, the the Bible says that crowds continue to gather around
-
him. Rumors continue to spread of
-
Jesus of Nazareth who was doing all these miracle signs and
-
wonders. People were gathering their
-
friends, people were bringing their family.
-
People were bringing people to the feet of Jesus because he was
-
shining his light bright. And who knows that that is
-
Jesus's mission still is to gather people and set them free.
-
That is the mission of the church.
-
That is your ultimate mission is to bring people unto the
-
salvation of the Lord, to bring deliverance, to cast out devils,
-
to heal the sick. And so God, the love of God.
-
The Bible says Jesus was was moved with compassion.
-
He was overflowing and filled with the love of God and that
-
was the motivator to the faith that he released.
-
He was one with God the Father. Jesus was one with love.
-
Jesus set his face towards the Father and in return the Father
-
set his face towards him. And so Jesus was the love of God
-
walking on earth. You and I, church, are the love
-
of God walking on earth. And so we are to shine this
-
great love of God for God's people and believe that the Holy
-
Spirit is with us to bring the answer that this world is
-
looking for. And so this idea that man faith
-
that works is rooted in love must mean that great love
-
releases great faith. Great love releases great faith.
-
The Bible says that there is no greater love than a man lays
-
down his life for his friends. And I believe that when we start
-
to walk in this love for others that we will start to activate
-
our faith for others and we will truly see this faith that Jesus
-
Christ released on earth operating and releasing through
-
us. It starts with us, create us,
-
carrying the love of God within us, and that is the foundation
-
upon which a great faith will be released.
-
Jesus answered and said to them, Have faith in God or have faith
-
in love, that the love of God is so big for you that this
-
seemingly immovable object can be removed.
-
Have faith in God or have faith in the love of God for you.
-
For assuredly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain be
-
removed and be cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his
-
heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, He
-
will have whatever he says. Great love releases great faith,
-
and I believe that a love not built on conditions, but
-
revelation is what moves mountains.
-
My love is not built on whether or not God gets me the things I
-
want or makes things start going the way I want them to, but my
-
love is built on the revelation of God's great love for me that
-
was made manifest in Jesus Christ coming and dying a brutal
-
death so that I could be set free.
-
The book the Bible says that his body was broken, that mine may
-
be healed, His blood was shed so that my sins may be forgiven.
-
An innocent man that knew no sin.
-
And then he rose three days later so that I can arise from
-
my circumstances that have kept me down.
-
And today, Church, I believe that you are gathered here at
-
this 9:00 AM service because you too are ready to arise from the
-
circumstances that once keep you down.
-
And so I just declare Church that you are ready because He is
-
with you and He is ready. I declare Church that you are
-
ready to arise. You are ready to put your face
-
in the sunlight. You are ready to shine.
-
And I'm just going to declare and decree this as the worship
-
team comes up out of Isaiah 60, it says, after you've arisen,
-
after you have put your face in the glory of the Lord, after you
-
let your light shine, it says, and I declare this is our
-
reality here at Love Quest. So, Father, I just thank you
-
that nations will come to our light, that kings are coming to
-
our sunburst brightness. We do look up, we do look
-
around. We watch as they gather, we
-
watch as they approach us. Sons are coming from great
-
distances, daughters are being carried by their nannies.
-
And when we see them coming, we shall smile.
-
Big smiles, shout it out, church big smiles.
-
Our heart will swell and yes, burst.
-
I declare and decree that 2024 is the year of homecoming.
-
Sons and daughters are activating.
-
The Father's heart is revealed in the mighty name of Jesus.
-
